- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:35Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:38leadership and strategy hypnosis session.
- 0:42And I was working with a client that was very successful and
- 0:45working at one of the biggest companies in the world.
- 0:49And they really wanted to get to the next level, but that level
- 0:53would require them to be much more strategic, much more
- 0:57visionary, much more influential.
- 1:00And they knew that they wanted that, but they didn't quite feel
- 1:02that they had those qualities. They didn't embody those
- 1:05qualities fully. Now, one of my beliefs is that
- 1:09the journey prepares you for the destination.
- 1:12But unless you're clear on the destination, you're not on the
- 1:15journey. And a lot of people are sat
- 1:18there thinking, but I'm not ready to do that without
- 1:22realizing that choosing to do it actually is the catalyst to
- 1:26become ready. And that's really what this
- 1:28session is all about. I also really like archetypes,
- 1:32and you've got different archetypes.
- 1:34You've got the kind of Jungian archetypes of the hero, the
- 1:38orphan, those kind of things. And this client to me seemed
- 1:41very much like an architect, very good on detail, very
- 1:44competent, very kind of thinking in terms of systems and solving
- 1:49problems, but they didn't come across as the visionary leader.
- 1:55So this almost acts like a bit of a video game.
- 1:59And sometimes in a video game you power up.
- 2:02So if you imagine Super Mario, he's kind of small and then he
- 2:06gets the, I forget what it is. The, the, the thing, I don't
- 2:10know if it's a mushroom or something like that, but then it
- 2:12kind of double s in size. So a power up or a levelling up
- 2:16is a really good metaphor for what humans do all the time.
- 2:20If you're listening to this, undoubtedly you are not the same
- 2:23person that you were a year ago, five years ago, 10 years ago.
- 2:27Most people are levelling up. They're evolving because they
- 2:30have more knowledge, more wisdom, more skills.
- 2:33And that's a good metaphor for what this client wanted to go
- 2:36through. And there actually is 3 levels
- 2:39of levelling up. That's who they are, which is
- 2:41the archetype turning into the commander, then the strategist,
- 2:45and then what's called the strategist king, which is this
- 2:47fusion of this kind of king, like leadership, but retaining
- 2:52all of those strategic qualities.
- 2:54So if you're listening to this and you like the idea of
- 2:58evolving, levelling up, becoming more of a leader, I think you
- 3:01will get a lot of value from this session.
- 3:03But just be aware that the qualities that are mentioned in
- 3:07this session like credibility, competence, influence are very
- 3:12specific to the client that I was working with.
- 3:14And there might be other qualities that are more
- 3:16desirable to you, like creativity or passion, in which
- 3:20case take what's useful, discard what isn't.
- 3:23And if you like the idea of working with me directly, there
- 3:27will be a link here in the description where you can
- 3:29schedule a completely free consultation call over Zoom.
- 3:32We'll have a chat, and who knows, I might be your
- 3:34hypnotherapist. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 3:38comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:40Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:05you breathe in, breathe in a wonderful feeling of calm and
- 4:10relaxation. And as you exhale, feel a
- 4:16wonderful feeling of release, as if when you breathe out,
- 4:23tension, stress, or worries are leaving your body in your
- 4:29outward breath. Breathing in, relaxation and
- 4:36exhaling tension. That's it.
- 4:44And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 4:50And the more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 4:55And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 5:02So just imagine your physical body stays exactly where it is
- 5:07as you start to reminisce of a beach in Turkey with white
- 5:12sands. And just imagine, the beach that
- 5:18might normally be busy is completely private and empty.
- 5:26Blue skies and sunshine, soft white sands and clear waters.
- 5:34And just imagine you're back on that beach, not at the age that
- 5:43you were, but the age you are now.
- 5:45And just imagine, as the waves break, there's almost a mist,
- 5:55tiny droplets of seawater. And almost imagine the freshness
- 6:01of that sensation on your skin, on your face, perhaps even the
- 6:06taste of that salt. Just feel that wonderful feeling
- 6:14of relaxation, as if every breath is taking you even
- 6:21deeper. Relaxed.
- 6:46on that beach, A sun drenched beach where the Aegean Sea meets
- 6:55white sand and there's gentle waves, but the water is so still
- 7:01so clear. Sometimes it just looks like a
- 7:06mirror for the sky. So as you walk on that private
- 7:14beach, white sands, just imagine the warmth of the sun on your
- 7:19skin, that soft breeze that carries the scent of the sea
- 7:26water and maybe nearby trees, that calm rhythm of gentle waves
- 7:35just lapping at the shore in a steady, soothing pattern.
- 7:44And just imagine continuing to walk slowly across that white
- 7:48soft sand, reconnecting with how peaceful it feels here, as
- 7:56though this place has been waiting for you.
- 8:01And I want you to imagine seeing a comfortable lounger very close
- 8:07to the water's edge. The kind of lounger where you
- 8:11can relax but stretch your legs out and just embrace the moment
- 8:21that's in. Just when you lie back, your
- 8:28body, your arms are supported, but allow your feet to rest in
- 8:33those warm sea waters, feeling the gentle sway, the soft wave
- 8:42after soft wave softly washes over them.
- 8:47And you can connect with the warmth, the stillness, rhythm
- 8:53and quiet repetition. And it almost begins to open a
- 8:59door to a dreamlike state, a drifting, floating calm that
- 9:07lets the deeper mind awaken. And with every wave you go
- 9:14deeper, and with every breath you relax further.
- 9:20And as your awareness softens, you drift into that beautiful
- 9:26place between waking and dreaming, the kind of place
- 9:31where a whole identity can shift and evolve, and deeper truths
- 9:38can emerge. Just connect with that place
- 9:40now. And as you imagine sinking into
- 9:46that lounge beneath you, supporting you but cradling you,
- 9:53sinking in, I want you to notice a heaviness in your limbs as
- 10:00your body relaxes more deeply than before.
- 10:06Every gentle wave touching your feet pulls you further inward
- 10:13into that quiet internal world, a dream like world where
- 10:20imagination becomes real and real change becomes a natural
- 10:26evolution. Just feel that wave of loose
- 10:33heaviness washing up through your legs to your hips, your
- 10:38stomach, your chest, your shoulders, your arms, and
- 10:45finally your face. Arms and legs limp and loose
- 10:51like the limbs of a puppet with no strings.
- 10:54Jaw loosening, eyelids heavier feeling a desire to yawn without
- 11:00yawning and just connect with that feeling.
- 11:04That wonderful feeling of pure relaxation.
- 11:10A place where everything loosens, everything settles,
- 11:13everything just feels completely at ease as you let your mind
- 11:21drift now, like a boat on Stillwater, carried by currents
- 11:29that know exactly where to take you.
- 11:35And as you drift deeper, your unconscious mind begins to
- 11:40awaken that deeper, older, archetypal intelligence that
- 11:48exists beneath language, beneath thought, and beneath identity.
- 11:58Because a part of you knows that you are here to evolve.
- 12:06You're here to step into a new level of being, a version of you
- 12:11that's been waiting for you to activate qualities that until
- 12:18now we're only partially or potentially harnessed.
- 12:25And I want you to feel that that evolution begins now.
- 12:36I want you to imagine. Imagine a big screen hovering
- 12:41over the Aegean Sea. And on that screen, you see
- 12:45yourself as you are now, all of your good qualities, everything
- 12:53that makes you valuable, but also the things that aren't
- 12:58fully there yet. Maybe there's less of that
- 13:04confidence that you would like, less of that leadership, not
- 13:11quite as much of that visionary strategic thinking.
- 13:19And it's not that this is wrong or bad, but just consider it
- 13:26like a game. And sometimes in a game, you
- 13:32level up. And when you level up, you have
- 13:35more resources, new access, new skills, new powers that you
- 13:42didn't have before you levelled up.
- 13:46And as you look at this screen, it looks like the screen of an
- 13:50adventure game. And see your character like an
- 13:54avatar, almost like an architect.
- 14:00Not an architect of buildings, but an architect of data and
- 14:05projects and systems. And I want you to see that this
- 14:12is level 1, and I want you to see that there is competence and
- 14:20credibility and clarity and capability.
- 14:24But just imagine being willing and open to new ideas and
- 14:35knowing the process to take an idea and making it fully formed
- 14:43is enough for the Architect to evolve to level up.
- 14:52The Architect is the foundation of all great leaders.
- 14:57But what if the Architect is only the beginning?
- 15:03I want you to imagine seeing that Level 1 version of you
- 15:08levelling up, see it morphing, standing taller, shoulders back,
- 15:16voice steady and eyes clear. I want you to see a version of
- 15:20you with more authority, more influence, an identity that
- 15:27turns clarity into action, plans into movement and systems into
- 15:34results. And I want you to see that this
- 15:39version of you seems like they have a new level of discipline,
- 15:47organization and focus. And imagine stepping into that
- 15:52version of you, that level 2. And notice when you feel
- 15:59disciplined and become organised and are focused, those old
- 16:07impulses of the past become almost like background noise,
- 16:13irrelevant because this version of you is on a mission and
- 16:20nothing will deter you from that mission.
- 16:29And I want you to imagine that this level of you can also level
- 16:33up. I want you to imagine having
- 16:38some kind of system to take an idea to research in, to really
- 16:45flesh out the details I have the confidence to present in.
- 16:51And in doing so, this becomes a puzzle inside of a game.
- 16:57How can you capture, cultivate, and present good ideas?
- 17:04Ideas that enhance other ideas that solve problems, that add
- 17:09value. And while you're working on that
- 17:13project, feel like your avatar, your character is elevating
- 17:22feelings of leadership even more.
- 17:26Discipline. Just dial it up.
- 17:30Confidence oozes to the next level.
- 17:34And this version of you is tenacious, communicates well.
- 17:39You bring others with you with you on your idea.
- 17:45You are influence in motion as you feel the shift from thinking
- 17:52to directing, from ideas to execution, and from planning to
- 17:59leading. And just imagine one of your
- 18:06ideas gets the go ahead. Some people believe that the
- 18:12journey itself prepares you for the destination.
- 18:15And when you get that green light, that extra
- 18:20responsibility, I want you to imagine it unlocks the
- 18:27strategist within you. Imagine seeing yourself like
- 18:32someone else to begin with, and see that version of you.
- 18:41It stands tall, but not in front of tasks, but above the entire
- 18:46landscape of your life and your career.
- 18:50Because the strategist sees the long game, the patterns, the
- 18:56leverage points, those opportunities that are there but
- 19:01other people can't see. And I want you to see how that
- 19:06strategy is conducts himself, perhaps with discernment and
- 19:12high standards, perhaps with the new level of dedication,
- 19:18determination and perseverance. Because this is the part of you
- 19:25that embodies vision and strategy.
- 19:29Not short term tactics, but long term clarity.
- 19:34This version of you is the conductor that has the ability
- 19:38to orchestrate results through influence rather than effort.
- 19:45Step into that version of you. Become the strategist and feel
- 19:51that vision expanding. Feel strategy activating.
- 19:57Feel a deeper intelligence awakening.
- 20:01The kind of intelligence that just knows that you don't need
- 20:05to do more. You just need to think more
- 20:11strategically, and as the strategy steps fully into place,
- 20:18there is one final identity that becomes your final evolution in
- 20:28this game. I want you to imagine that by
- 20:33leading your own project, the kind of project that needed
- 20:39resources and people and buy in, you took a risk and it's paying
- 20:44off. This awakens the strategist king
- 20:54at regal part within you. It enhances the strategist even
- 21:01more because that version of you is the integrated, elevated,
- 21:07evolved self. Consider this the culmination of
- 21:14all four archetypes, the Architect, the commander, the
- 21:23strategist, and then finally the Strategist king.
- 21:31And this identity stands with presence, power, clarity and
- 21:38calm authority. Some people consider Steve Jobs
- 21:47as the perfect example of the strategist King.
- 21:53Didn't have all the answers themself, but could build teams,
- 21:57create a vision, see the big picture, see how the dots all
- 22:04connected. And I want you to see that
- 22:07version of you as the strategist king.
- 22:14That version of you can almost see the future clearly, can
- 22:19design the path intelligently, commands not through hierarchy
- 22:28but with integrity, influences with confidence, leads with
- 22:34vision, acts with discipline, can easily avoid impulses and
- 22:45distractions because they don't need temporary gratification.
- 22:53Their eye is on the prize of the future that they are building
- 22:57and creating. This version of you creates
- 23:03inevitability, not effort. This version of you moves
- 23:09through life with purpose and presence, not the magpie getting
- 23:15distracted by shiny things. This is not your future because
- 23:24this is the version of you that others follow effortlessly.
- 23:28The version of you that shapes your environment rather than
- 23:32reacting to it. The version of you that embodies
- 23:36both mastery and direction. You ooze competency even if
- 23:44you're not doing but leading. And I want you to imagine
- 23:51merging, stepping into this elevated identity, allow it to
- 23:59imprint itself into your unconscious mind, almost like
- 24:03it's installing itself as the new operating system, levelling
- 24:09up to enable you to deal with bigger challenges ahead.
- 24:16And as you think of those old video games with puzzles and
- 24:20problems, the version of you that can complete level 1
- 24:26wouldn't be able to complete a later level unless you evolved
- 24:31on the journey. The skills you learn on the way
- 24:36prepare you for what comes next. So allow these qualities to
- 24:42settle into you now. Each word may create a sensation
- 24:49of feeling a belief, feel visionary, feel strategic,
- 24:59credible, awaken the leader, confidence, competency, harness
- 25:13all of the communication skills to be influential, and by having
- 25:19high standards, feel disciplined and feel them fused together
- 25:28into a single identity. The strategist King.
- 25:35This is who you are becoming, this is who you are stepping
- 25:39into, and this is who your future demands you be.
- 25:47And I want you to imagine yourself maybe a year or two
- 25:50from now living life that way and see how every area of your
- 25:58life is enhanced, how your career is enhanced, more
- 26:03responsibilities, more influence, how your health is
- 26:07enhanced through better decisions, how your confidence
- 26:14and self esteem has just exploded.
- 26:20And then return, return to that lounger, feet in the water, and
- 26:30just get a deep sense that your future is bright.
- 26:38And because you've primed yourself to move in this way,
- 26:43don't be surprised if ideas, insights come to you as
- 26:51premonitions, epiphanies, Eureka moments.
- 26:56They will be fleeting. So when they come, capture them.
- 27:00Write them down, dictate them, bank them.
- 27:06Because they will give you everything you need to create
- 27:12the ideas that will take you in this direction.
- 27:20Because sometimes, and in some places, people believe that when
- 27:30you set a magnificent goal, the universe conspires in your
- 27:37favour. You have clarity on your future,
- 27:45the kind of person you will be, not necessarily the things you
- 27:50will do. And now allow the universe to
- 27:56conspire in your favour. It's time to imagine leaving
- 28:03that sun lounger, but as you walk on that soft white sand
- 28:10where the sand meets the water, imagine walking like that future
- 28:15version of you that already embodies these qualities.
- 28:22I want you to get a feeling that the journey does prepare you for
- 28:27the destination. You don't have to have all the
- 28:31answers of what happens in the future.
- 28:34Now just be willing to solve each stage, each level of the
- 28:40game with all the resources you have until you get to the next
- 28:46level. It's time to float back to the
- 28:50present. But take all of these changes
- 28:52with you, understanding that this has been a journey in your
- 28:57imagination, a journey of archetypes and identities, of
- 29:02qualities in your future. A journey of dreams within
- 29:06dreams, thoughts within thoughts, and ideas within
- 29:10ideas. So take a deep breath in through
- 29:13your nose and out through your nose.
- 29:18Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate
- 29:22into the here and the now. As I now count from 1:00 to
- 29:2710:00 to awaken you. You will return fully in the
- 29:31present with a sense of clarity, optimism, and vision.
- 29:37Starting to count 123 waking up 456.
- 29:42More alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 29:45Open your eyes, 910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
- 29:52awake. Thank you so much for joining me
