- 0:09Speaker 1: Welcome to the favorite IV your house, Chad, Bill Johnny
- 0:22Speaker 1: today a black Jack letter. Oh that was good for
- 0:28Speaker 1: those of you listening. That was not our usual Chad
- 0:31Speaker 1: doppelganger matt Ford. That was Antonio, well done, my friend,
- 0:36Speaker 1: well done. Um that that may be better than Maddie's.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I don't know. It was a dead ringer in my opinion,
- 0:43Speaker 1: getting close to the mic there, buddy, I try. That
- 0:48Speaker 1: was all right? So so yeah, Antonio just found out
- 0:51Speaker 1: he was doing that about sixty seconds ago because matt
- 0:54Speaker 1: Ford left him in the lurch. Wait, sixty seconds longer
- 0:58Speaker 1: than I would asked if I didn't do Roman or
- 1:02Speaker 1: h Yeah, you're not going sixty seconds that Roman buddy
- 1:05Speaker 1: with Roman all night long. Good to know. Alright, so
- 1:10Speaker 1: this is the favorite time black Jack. Fletcher joined as
- 1:13Speaker 1: Chad Moman said, by the one and only Christopher Raybon.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Chris name name intro Christopher Alicious Raybon. It's not even
- 1:23Speaker 1: my middle name. It's a manual. But I was trying
- 1:25Speaker 1: to give you some degree of anonymity. I mean, why
- 1:30Speaker 1: I want to be out here. You know, I got
- 1:31Speaker 1: the Roman ladies. What's up the two ladies listening to
- 1:35Speaker 1: this podcast? I'm sure your girlfriend is gonna love hearing that.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm sure that the ladies will like it even more
- 1:40Speaker 1: that I have a girlfriend. Listen to this song I
- 1:44Speaker 1: love my girlfriend. Um all right, so um yeah, let's
- 1:50Speaker 1: let's jump in and talk about some sports, right uh
- 1:53Speaker 1: NBA Chrissy. Big news of the day. Kevin Durant uh
- 1:57Speaker 1: injured last night. The Warriors are saying it's a half strain.
- 2:00Speaker 1: He's supposed to have an m R I today look
- 2:02Speaker 1: the hell of a lot like an achilles injury. To me,
- 2:05Speaker 1: it looked ugly. I mean, anytime you see a guy,
- 2:07Speaker 1: you know, hopping around and you know he doesn't he
- 2:10Speaker 1: kind of worry because those are usually the arious. But
- 2:13Speaker 1: I want to talk about the point sprayer because Houston
- 2:17Speaker 1: is a seven and a half point favorite, and that
- 2:20Speaker 1: line is skyrocketing. Opened to five and a half yea.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And what's crazy is the last time the Warriors were
- 2:25Speaker 1: in Houston. I think it opened at Houston minus one,
- 2:29Speaker 1: quoted at Golden State minus one. So they're essentially saying,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I mean, the market is essentially saying that that Kevin
- 2:35Speaker 1: Durants worth like eight eight and a half points? Is
- 2:37Speaker 1: he not not eight and a half not on that team.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I mean, okay, but to be fair, maybe maybe with
- 2:42Speaker 1: Russell Westbrook he's worth. Steph Curry has played like crap
- 2:47Speaker 1: in this series. I mean he's been awful. He has
- 2:50Speaker 1: three or thirteen, four or fourteen from three. I mean
- 2:53Speaker 1: he has not been good since he dislocated his finger. Trash. Yeah,
- 2:57Speaker 1: but I mean what's looks like j R. Smith? Yeah?
- 3:01Speaker 1: But I mean eight No, no, no, no players areth
- 3:03Speaker 1: eight points, no players worth that any point? No player No,
- 3:06Speaker 1: absolutely not eight points. That's what you're you're getting close to.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That's eight per That's almost like it's seven eight percent
- 3:13Speaker 1: of your your total teams point like no, no, absolutely not.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Maybe maybe four or five I would give Katie fine,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but eight, I think how can you not bet Golden
- 3:23Speaker 1: State in that spot? Do you think we see Durant
- 3:26Speaker 1: again in this series? No? Does Houston win Game six? Yes?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Do you think so? Yeah? I mean I think that.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I think the expectation was it. Did you not expect
- 3:37Speaker 1: the seven game series from the start? No? I expected
- 3:40Speaker 1: a five game series. Houston are gold State? Golden State?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Houston stinks? No, they don't. I mean Houston had everything
- 3:47Speaker 1: go their way in games one and two, they made
- 3:50Speaker 1: twice the amount of threes, they shot more free throws
- 3:52Speaker 1: on the road, their field goal percentage was higher, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: they still lost both games. Like everything went in their
- 3:58Speaker 1: favor and they still couldn't win. Even last night, Durant
- 4:02Speaker 1: goes down and they still I mean, they still lose
- 4:05Speaker 1: that game. Like, I don't, I don't know the Rockets.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I think they're frauds. You know, how many shots did
- 4:13Speaker 1: you take in that game? None? Right, because me, I
- 4:16Speaker 1: wasn't on the floor, and James Harden took about the
- 4:19Speaker 1: same amount and in the last eight minutes, though James
- 4:23Speaker 1: Harden annually disappears in the playoffs. So what makes you
- 4:26Speaker 1: think it's not gonna happen again. Well, so to me,
- 4:28Speaker 1: Houston is a team point no, no, no, But let's listen.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Listen used to as a team that the same way
- 4:33Speaker 1: they could kind of perplexing ly go cold, they could
- 4:38Speaker 1: also get just as hot, because that's just how they play.
- 4:41Speaker 1: They rely on like high variance outcomes the three ball,
- 4:45Speaker 1: like by not taking like any you know, really they're
- 4:47Speaker 1: they're only taking threes and they're trying to get to
- 4:49Speaker 1: the whole. They just have such a high variant. Uh,
- 4:52Speaker 1: range of outcomes that the same way they could go
- 4:54Speaker 1: cold against Utah for for three games or something like that.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You know, they could get hot for three games. Again,
- 5:00Speaker 1: the best team in the league. So I wouldn't rule
- 5:01Speaker 1: him out. I expected it to go seven the whole time.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And if Houston, if this is really you know, Darryl
- 5:07Speaker 1: Morey and his Mori Bull, they need to win game
- 5:10Speaker 1: six and then they need to go into Golden and
- 5:11Speaker 1: State improved. Everybody that did that. We that they should
- 5:14Speaker 1: have been taken seriously this whole time as title contenders.
- 5:17Speaker 1: If you're a good team, you gotta win on the road.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Can't tell you my theory. I think everyone in the
- 5:21Speaker 1: Golden State locker room hates Kevin Durant. I think they
- 5:24Speaker 1: know he's leaving. I think they don't care for his attitude.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I think they think to themselves, we want a title
- 5:29Speaker 1: without him. Now. He comes here, takes all the credit
- 5:33Speaker 1: for these last two rings, and he's walking out the
- 5:35Speaker 1: door going to New York in a few months. I
- 5:38Speaker 1: think they come out and they bring the pain in
- 5:40Speaker 1: Game six. I think the Warriors reign threes on them
- 5:43Speaker 1: like they've never seen before, and Golden State wins Game
- 5:46Speaker 1: six by thirty two. Do you think Kevin Durant, who
- 5:50Speaker 1: do you think has the largest spread between how valuable
- 5:53Speaker 1: he is and how much he's actually liked by his teammates.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Do you think Kevin Durant takes that that crown? Or
- 5:58Speaker 1: do you think of somebody else in the league? But
- 6:02Speaker 1: Kyrie Irving, for example on the Cat and the Calves team,
- 6:04Speaker 1: probably was Durant. Kyrie Irving is not liked by his team,
- 6:07Speaker 1: but Durant is obviously far better. So the chasm is
- 6:10Speaker 1: bigger there. League doesn't even have to be somebody still
- 6:14Speaker 1: in the playoff. They could have already been eliminated, could
- 6:17Speaker 1: be l Embiid. Speaking of which, let's transition. That's that's
- 6:23Speaker 1: what we call a segue to the Sixers and Raptors
- 6:27Speaker 1: Game six tonight. Listen, I have been all in on
- 6:31Speaker 1: the seventies Sixers. I am holding a future ticket for
- 6:33Speaker 1: them to win the NBA Finals because in my mind
- 6:36Speaker 1: they have the best starting five in the NBA. Yes said,
- 6:38Speaker 1: I will continue to say it. However, However, Joel Embiid
- 6:45Speaker 1: stinks he is soft. He is soft is tissue paper,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Chris he is He's one ply toilet paper. That's what
- 6:52Speaker 1: Joel Embiid is. Okay, the guy's got a tummy ache
- 6:56Speaker 1: and he plays like crap. He comes walking into the
- 6:58Speaker 1: arena for Game five. Everyone knew when you saw the
- 7:01Speaker 1: footage of him walking into the arena, this dude had
- 7:05Speaker 1: nothing nothing. It's a joke. He's a talented, generational type player.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But the guy seemingly just has no desire, no fortitude.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't know how Jimmy Butler puts up with him.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I just gotta tell me within any you say he
- 7:23Speaker 1: has they have the best starting five. I mean, when
- 7:26Speaker 1: you're healthy, black Jack, centers are shooting threes. When your
- 7:30Speaker 1: point guard can't even shoot from the free throw line,
- 7:34Speaker 1: you are you do not have your automatically shot three. Oh,
- 7:39Speaker 1: Draymond Green shot. Raymond Green is not a center. Jamond
- 7:42Speaker 1: Green could shoot three? Is better than Ben Simmons can
- 7:44Speaker 1: shoot free throws. That's not the point. He's not. It's
- 7:47Speaker 1: not not true though. Well Ben Simmons can rebound just
- 7:50Speaker 1: as Yeah. That that that's really helpful when you're when
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're losing six starting lineups. Talk to me about the
- 8:00Speaker 1: Sixers and Raptors here game six tonight, do we see
- 8:02Speaker 1: a game seven Sixers are at home. Home favorites are
- 8:08Speaker 1: I mean home wonder excuse me? Are just not good
- 8:11Speaker 1: bets in waiting the playoffs since oh five, I believe
- 8:15Speaker 1: it's something like, uh, they're covering at about rate or
- 8:19Speaker 1: something like that. UM, go to actually network dot com
- 8:21Speaker 1: get the actual numbers. I was too lazy. But this
- 8:25Speaker 1: isn't a number show. This is exactly I know that
- 8:28Speaker 1: you four numbers. So I'm just I'm just doing this
- 8:31Speaker 1: all off you. So do you think Toronto gets to win? No? Yeah, absolutely.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Have you seen Kauai Lenard lately? He's better than the
- 8:38Speaker 1: entire Sixers starting five that you love so much. Yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 1: the guy, the guy that san Antonio used to have.
- 8:44Speaker 1: That that the team that's not David Robinson. Um, all right,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so that means you've got Raptors Bucks in the Eastern
- 8:52Speaker 1: Conference finals. Who comes out, who comes out, who wins?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Who comes at least? I would say, you know, I
- 9:00Speaker 1: think I would go to Raptors. I think Kauai is
- 9:02Speaker 1: a machine. I think I think uh, I think that
- 9:05Speaker 1: team got a lot smarter when they hired Nick Nurse
- 9:08Speaker 1: to be their head coach and uh, you know, to
- 9:10Speaker 1: replace Dwayne Kraacey Tee and I think that makes all
- 9:12Speaker 1: the difference sometimes. You know, there's not a big edge
- 9:14Speaker 1: sometimes between between teams. You know, the Bucks are amazing.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You know, they have nice they have they have a
- 9:20Speaker 1: good supporting cast around him. Uh, there's nothing to knock
- 9:23Speaker 1: about them. But Toronto is kind of similar. You know,
- 9:27Speaker 1: they have a pretty solid all around team and they're
- 9:29Speaker 1: led by a superstar who obviously can turn it up
- 9:33Speaker 1: in the playoffs and you know what I mean, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: he has that, he has that championship experience already. So
- 9:38Speaker 1: I mean, let's let's go to Ronto. They're gonna they're
- 9:43Speaker 1: gonna be I like you, I like where you're coming
- 9:45Speaker 1: from with this. I like Toronto. Um don't you like Philly? Well,
- 9:49Speaker 1: I mean, if they were to beat Philly Chris, which
- 9:51Speaker 1: is sound, should they beat them, I would take Toronto
- 9:55Speaker 1: and the plus flip flop man. I don't know. Remember
- 10:02Speaker 1: that guy John Kerry, Yeah, the guy who claimed you
- 10:04Speaker 1: like fun in Vietnam and he was he was reporting
- 10:07Speaker 1: for duties. He had he had that one good sound
- 10:10Speaker 1: bite and at the convention. Yeah, that was a mistake. Yeah, lesson,
- 10:15Speaker 1: boys and girls, don't mess with Carl rove bang bang. Um.
- 10:19Speaker 1: All right, so the Nuggets and Blazers out West. I mean,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Nuggets are winning that series, right. I have to apologize
- 10:27Speaker 1: because I when when when the Nuggets were playing the
- 10:32Speaker 1: in the first round against the Spurs, I wrote up
- 10:34Speaker 1: that I thought the Spurs were a good bet to
- 10:37Speaker 1: win that series, and uh, that was that. I apologize
- 10:40Speaker 1: for that. Um, But Nicola Yoki is fucking amazing. Real deal.
- 10:46Speaker 1: If that dude's in New York, l A, Boston, Chicago
- 10:48Speaker 1: is an MPP gang. I don't know how many people
- 10:52Speaker 1: out there listening to our Knicks fans, but I know,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you know, I'm a Knicks fan. I'm from New York,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and I remember there was very early in Kitch his career.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I remember watching a Nuggets game because I mean, when
- 11:04Speaker 1: you play DFS, you tend to stay up and watch
- 11:07Speaker 1: the late games because you have nothing better to do.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And I was just like, oh my god, this dude
- 11:10Speaker 1: is better than Chris Stops. Like everyone thinks that we
- 11:12Speaker 1: have the predominant big white guy had you know, had
- 11:17Speaker 1: the predominant you know, big white dude in the NBA.
- 11:20Speaker 1: But in reality, like this dude Yoki is a problem.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Let me throw some out of you Porzingis or Nurkic. Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: there you go, give me, give me n He's a bang.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I always love Nurkics too. Let's keep talking white NBA players.
- 11:37Speaker 1: JJ Reddick not a member of the best starting five
- 11:39Speaker 1: in the league. You have to go there. I mean,
- 11:45Speaker 1: you're a foot fall and I just JJ Redick for
- 11:47Speaker 1: two years or Grayson Allen for the rest of his career.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Grayson Now is the truth? Man? Have you seen you
- 11:52Speaker 1: know this dude at the end of the year. I
- 11:54Speaker 1: mean he was Grason Allen late. Reason Allen is what
- 12:02Speaker 1: if the if the Jazz had played Grayson Allen over
- 12:04Speaker 1: some of them bums they played, they might have they
- 12:06Speaker 1: might have had a better chance against Houston. All Right, Alright,
- 12:11Speaker 1: So neither one of these teams has a shot against
- 12:13Speaker 1: Golden State, right, neither one. I mean kicked the ship
- 12:18Speaker 1: out of Denver this year. I mean, oh, you're talking
- 12:21Speaker 1: about the Western Yahnuggets played Golden State roles, I would think,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I mean, the only thing we're going to say worry
- 12:33Speaker 1: about is that they have these Yeah, but they just
- 12:36Speaker 1: don't care. And if they if they do that at
- 12:38Speaker 1: home and they blow a home game, what was ever
- 12:42Speaker 1: thirty seven and four at home in their home court. Yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 1: but the Warriors just destroyed them this year. Yeah, But
- 12:49Speaker 1: I mean the playoffs are a whole different game. And honestly,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Denver's regular season team was very different from what they're
- 12:55Speaker 1: doing now. I mean, for the for for one, they
- 12:57Speaker 1: didn't play their their starts nearly as many minutes, and
- 13:00Speaker 1: they didn't have the same rotations. So I hesitate to
- 13:03Speaker 1: um kind of use that as a one to one comparison.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I think that Denver is a different team. And I mean, yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I'm not a big Denver fan. I picked him to
- 13:14Speaker 1: get to bounce in the first round. But I'm saying,
- 13:16Speaker 1: like I wouldn't count them out if because Golden State
- 13:19Speaker 1: is known to blow to stop caring if they blow
- 13:22Speaker 1: a home game, especially if Kevin Duran is out for
- 13:24Speaker 1: an extended period. Let's say he's let's say he doesn't
- 13:26Speaker 1: come back for that. For that then for whatever series
- 13:28Speaker 1: you know that the conference finals, and they blow a
- 13:31Speaker 1: game at home, and now you have to beat Denver
- 13:33Speaker 1: at home in one of three games. That's not that's
- 13:36Speaker 1: not a guarantee. I mean, again, this team went thirty
- 13:39Speaker 1: seven and four. I believe it was at home. So yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 1: I mean, I would guess the value would be on
- 13:44Speaker 1: Denver if we're if the odds open and we see
- 13:47Speaker 1: the odds and they come out, and I would I
- 13:49Speaker 1: would think that the bet, the smart money would be
- 13:50Speaker 1: to be to bed Denver. I would just think, Wow,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I would disagree because I think it's basically lighting your
- 13:57Speaker 1: money on fire. I don't know about that. I mean,
- 14:00Speaker 1: you know, the Warriors happened, the Warriors are. If you're
- 14:04Speaker 1: making a bet based on ship happens, you probably shouldn't
- 14:08Speaker 1: make the bet that explains your record in the app
- 14:11Speaker 1: it does. I mean, I mean, alright, remember remember when
- 14:16Speaker 1: the Warriors lost to the Calves, Kevin Love. It was
- 14:21Speaker 1: defending Stephen Curry on what turned out to be the
- 14:25Speaker 1: keep playing the game. So don't tell me that you
- 14:28Speaker 1: know anything can't happen in NBA play. So your your philosophy.
- 14:31Speaker 1: As the Cavaliers were so historically bad outside of Lebron
- 14:34Speaker 1: James that we don't really know how good the Warriors
- 14:36Speaker 1: are now. I just wanted to bring it back to
- 14:38Speaker 1: the two big white guys doing doing good things. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 1: let's keep talking white guys. Um, alright, So Let's let's
- 14:44Speaker 1: move past the finals into my favorite part of the
- 14:48Speaker 1: NBA season, which is the off season. A lot of
- 14:51Speaker 1: free agents out there, Chrissie, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard,
- 14:55Speaker 1: Kemba Walker, got Zion Williamson and John Morant and the draft.
- 14:59Speaker 1: How how does all this shakeout start with Kemba Walker?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean, b X stand up Kemba Walker all day. Um,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I think that Kemba I mean how how how good
- 15:16Speaker 1: do you think Kemba is compared to Kyrie? Let me
- 15:18Speaker 1: ask you this question. We're talking about this in the
- 15:20Speaker 1: office to day. You're a Knicks fan. I'm a Knicks fan.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Would you rather have Durant and Kyrie Durant and Kemba
- 15:27Speaker 1: Durant Kemball? That's what every one of us said, because
- 15:29Speaker 1: every single one. That's just me being biased because I'm
- 15:32Speaker 1: from the b X. I don't know if that's take
- 15:35Speaker 1: that out of it. Look at them as players. Are
- 15:37Speaker 1: you telling me you wouldn't. I think Kemba Walker is
- 15:39Speaker 1: a better fit. I think Kyrie is a better player.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I think that I think I want to talk soft.
- 15:47Speaker 1: As Matt Ford described him, He's precious Kyrie is precious
- 15:52Speaker 1: all right. So here's the thing, and we talked about
- 15:55Speaker 1: this affair. Every only one team can win a championship,
- 16:01Speaker 1: right in any given year? Those are the rules? Yeah, right?
- 16:03Speaker 1: So where do we draw the line between you know
- 16:10Speaker 1: what a player before we let a player off the hook? Like,
- 16:12Speaker 1: what is Kyrie's expectation? Does he have to get to
- 16:14Speaker 1: the finals every year for us to say, okay, he
- 16:17Speaker 1: had a successful season? Is that the conference finals? Like?
- 16:19Speaker 1: What is it with Kyrie? Because at the end of
- 16:21Speaker 1: the day, I mean, Golden State's probably gonna be in
- 16:23Speaker 1: the finals, and you know there's only gonna be one
- 16:26Speaker 1: team in EASN. Does Kyrie have to be in the
- 16:28Speaker 1: finals for his season to be considered success? Because I
- 16:31Speaker 1: think we've learned Kyrie Irving is something of a thinker.
- 16:36Speaker 1: He has a lot of different thoughts that float around
- 16:41Speaker 1: his head, and I believe he's probably a follower of
- 16:43Speaker 1: the philosopher uh Ricky Bobby m If you're not first,
- 16:48Speaker 1: your last, So I think that's his mentality, which I like.
- 16:53Speaker 1: But also he's not good enough to be first by himself.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Never should have run away from Lebron. But is that
- 17:02Speaker 1: is that true? Or is that just a reality of
- 17:05Speaker 1: the fact that only one team is going to win
- 17:07Speaker 1: a chip in any given year, because that is though,
- 17:09Speaker 1: that is the way sports are structure, right, But it's
- 17:11Speaker 1: the only one. So it's like, is it are we
- 17:13Speaker 1: just overreacting to the fact that Kyrie team got bounced?
- 17:17Speaker 1: Are we overreacting? Or is he overreacting because he seems miserable.
- 17:22Speaker 1: That's true. He seems miserable everywhere he is. That's that's
- 17:25Speaker 1: so maybe he's maybe he's the next Jimmy Butler. Maybe
- 17:29Speaker 1: he's just perpetually unhappy because you see, the thing about
- 17:32Speaker 1: Kyrie Eving is he could actually shoot. Oh don't give
- 17:35Speaker 1: me that, all right, I'm not going to have you. Sully,
- 17:38Speaker 1: the good name of Jimmy Butler also a free agent
- 17:40Speaker 1: in this class. Do you realize that, you, like the
- 17:43Speaker 1: whole sixers starting on, none of them could shoot. The
- 17:47Speaker 1: only player that could get Joe centering is the seconds
- 17:50Speaker 1: shooting stinks. Tobias Harris, Tobias, He's He's I's I mean,
- 17:56Speaker 1: that was a key move form. But that's the thing
- 17:58Speaker 1: they needed to acquire to buy as Harris to be
- 18:01Speaker 1: what Jimmy Butler should have been. They he needs so
- 18:04Speaker 1: many free agents. He needed to be with Jimmy Butler
- 18:07Speaker 1: should have been It's not whatever, al right, where does
- 18:10Speaker 1: where does Kyrie land? I mean, where does the Knicks?
- 18:17Speaker 1: I hesitate to believe anything positive about the Knicks, and
- 18:19Speaker 1: I don't even know if that is positive. But I
- 18:22Speaker 1: mean the way the title the Knicks titles have been climbing,
- 18:26Speaker 1: sixth best in the league. It's almost absurd is that
- 18:30Speaker 1: hasn't been that high since Oh it's absolutely sucker, but
- 18:36Speaker 1: the Knicks signed to Rant Kyrie, drafts Ion Williamson, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: two of those a c L s are getting blown
- 18:43Speaker 1: within the first three months of the season. There's no
- 18:45Speaker 1: doubt about it. Who would you rather better on the
- 18:49Speaker 1: Knicks with Zion, Kyrie and k D or the thunder
- 18:58Speaker 1: the Knisten Listen, we've seen Russell Westbrook might be my
- 19:05Speaker 1: favorite player in the NBA right now. I love him.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I love everything about him. I love his attitude, I
- 19:11Speaker 1: love his approach um. But yeah, that didn't happen in
- 19:15Speaker 1: Oklahoma City, not unless something drastically changes. I don't know
- 19:18Speaker 1: about his approach because I feel like after we've seen
- 19:20Speaker 1: like half the centers in the league develop a three
- 19:22Speaker 1: point shot overnight. The fact that Russell Westbrook still she
- 19:25Speaker 1: was like, yeah, I mean that's a problem. That's that
- 19:29Speaker 1: is a problem. But I mean he deferred a lot
- 19:32Speaker 1: more this year to Paul George than he did in
- 19:33Speaker 1: the past. I mean he let the other good player
- 19:37Speaker 1: on his team score points to that not really think
- 19:40Speaker 1: you give him credit for. I mean, who else is?
- 19:42Speaker 1: What else is he gonna do? We can only score
- 19:43Speaker 1: so many points. He wants his ten of sist all right,
- 19:45Speaker 1: he wants those tripled up with and does what's his name?
- 19:50Speaker 1: Terence Ferguson is not getting him for him? No, So
- 19:55Speaker 1: all right, So that's uh, that's that Kevin Durant nick
- 20:00Speaker 1: the neck you know, am I crazy about? That? Doesn't
- 20:04Speaker 1: feel that realistic to me? It doesn't. Here's the thing, right,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I don't get it, Like I don't understand it. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't know why you would want to leave if you
- 20:13Speaker 1: just break this down aside from like a basketball thing
- 20:16Speaker 1: and just look at it as an employment, right, why
- 20:18Speaker 1: would we want to leave Cali? You want to leave
- 20:20Speaker 1: a better place with better coworkers that could offer you
- 20:24Speaker 1: more money to go to a worst climate with awful
- 20:30Speaker 1: coworkers and an awful boss, probably the worst boss in
- 20:34Speaker 1: your field for less money. I don't get it. I
- 20:38Speaker 1: don't get the move. But everything seems everyone you talk to,
- 20:43Speaker 1: everybody says this is happening. Durance moved his companies here,
- 20:48Speaker 1: his his business manager moves here. Everything seems to be
- 20:51Speaker 1: pointing to the fact that he wants to come here.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Maybe he's trying to rectify the perception of his reputation
- 20:58Speaker 1: that he joined Golden State for these rings. And if
- 21:01Speaker 1: there's one challenge in the NBA, it's resurrecting this dead
- 21:05Speaker 1: as a doornail franchise in New York City. I mean,
- 21:09Speaker 1: it's it feels like it's happening. We'll see. I mean,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I think there's we don't know what this year. He
- 21:16Speaker 1: still hasn't stored me. Let's say he doesn't play again
- 21:19Speaker 1: in the playoffs this year. Like let's say his injuries here, Like,
- 21:21Speaker 1: does that change his decision at all? We don't know that.
- 21:24Speaker 1: There's a lot of things to It feels like a
- 21:25Speaker 1: fatal complete, does it not. I don't know what that
- 21:29Speaker 1: even meaning? Bringing cultures, I um, it feels predetermined. It
- 21:38Speaker 1: feels like it's happening. If he doesn't come here. The
- 21:42Speaker 1: disappointment with Knicks fans is going to because no, no, Chrissy,
- 21:49Speaker 1: it'll be worse than it was. I mean, Nicks fans
- 21:51Speaker 1: are at the point where they expect Kevin Durant to
- 21:54Speaker 1: be here. That's still I mean, I I agree with you,
- 21:57Speaker 1: but we didn't expect Lebron to be here in two
- 22:00Speaker 1: thousand ten. Like we hoped it, but we didn't expect it. Silly.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I just I'm I'm with you. I just think that,
- 22:07Speaker 1: like I'm I'm trying to make this move to Cally,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I don't understand why Katie would want to leave. All right,
- 22:11Speaker 1: let's talk about the most important free agent of all,
- 22:13Speaker 1: Jimmy Butler. Where does he wind up? Hmm? I think
- 22:17Speaker 1: it's still to be I mean, I think he could
- 22:18Speaker 1: land up on a random team like the Mavericks or
- 22:20Speaker 1: something like. I don't think it's I think he's not
- 22:22Speaker 1: gonna be yeah, Like, he's not gonna be the in
- 22:25Speaker 1: demand guy until Like I think dominoes are gonna have
- 22:27Speaker 1: to fall. What about Lebron strikes out and Jimmy Butler
- 22:30Speaker 1: is his consolation prize in l A. I could see
- 22:33Speaker 1: that happening. That won't work. I could see that happening.
- 22:36Speaker 1: But yeah, it's the whole thing with Jimmy Bower is
- 22:39Speaker 1: not a good shooter. What's gonna happen the first time
- 22:40Speaker 1: Jimmy Butler barks at Lebron for like lagging behind on defense.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think Lebrons a fun anymore so,
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mean nobody. The thing about the Lakers is that
- 22:50Speaker 1: no one really gives a funk. I mean Magic was like, yo,
- 22:53Speaker 1: fucking I'm out. He ain't even Lebron chased the Magic
- 22:56Speaker 1: out of town. He chased Magic Johnson off the Lakers.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Think about that for a second. Magic Johnson took that job,
- 23:04Speaker 1: did one season with Lebron and was like, I'm out.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Magic was stressed. Before we get back to the show, Chris,
- 23:10Speaker 1: let's talk about something truly difficult. Guys are terrible at
- 23:13Speaker 1: taking care of their health, whether it's a knee injury,
- 23:16Speaker 1: bad back, or something worse. Guys are usually more comfortable
- 23:20Speaker 1: rubbing some dirt on it than seeing a doctor, but
- 23:23Speaker 1: there are some things you shouldn't rub dirt on. One
- 23:28Speaker 1: of those things is a rectile dysfunction. Studies show seventy guys,
- 23:33Speaker 1: including Chad Millman, who experienced e D don't get treated
- 23:36Speaker 1: for it. Thankfully, Roman has created an easy way to
- 23:41Speaker 1: get checked out by a doctor and get treated for
- 23:43Speaker 1: e D online. Roman is a one stop shop where
- 23:47Speaker 1: you can chat with a licensed US position who can
- 23:49Speaker 1: treat e D and, if safe and appropriate, ship medication

- 23:57Speaker 1: no awkward face to face conversations, or uncomfortable trips to

- 24:23Speaker 1: Guys do what Chad Milman did, go online and get
- 24:27Speaker 1: checked by the doctor a rectile. This function is a

- 24:52Speaker 1: Let's talk some hockey. So we've got our conference finalists set.
- 24:56Speaker 1: The Boston Bruins are taking on the Carolina Hurricanes and
- 25:00Speaker 1: Za Sharks taken on St. Louis Blues. Who do you
- 25:02Speaker 1: like in the East? I think I think I go
- 25:07Speaker 1: with the Canes. Man Like, I'm not even no, no, no, no, no,
- 25:11Speaker 1: why not that Bruins. Listen. The Bruins, I think are
- 25:17Speaker 1: the team that brings on Stanley Cup this year. They
- 25:20Speaker 1: are a perfect blend of old, young, experience and athleticism.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Their goaltender has been there, done that. The team is
- 25:29Speaker 1: just this is the first year in the last few
- 25:31Speaker 1: years where the Bruins been in the playoffs, eve been healthy,
- 25:34Speaker 1: they haven't been missing key pieces, and it's shown. I mean,
- 25:37Speaker 1: they they've looked really good in the first two rounds.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Caroline is a nice story. Um, you know, they're kind
- 25:45Speaker 1: of that. I guess some people find them lovable. I
- 25:48Speaker 1: don't particularly enjoy hockey in the Sun Belt, so it's
- 25:51Speaker 1: not really my thing. Um, but they played great defense.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I think Boston is just too well rounded to lose
- 26:00Speaker 1: to Caroline. I think the series is probably six games
- 26:04Speaker 1: and done. I mean, here's my thing about hockey, you know,
- 26:06Speaker 1: I'm it's probably my fourth sport. You know, I pay more.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I pay the most attention to NFL and NBA than
- 26:14Speaker 1: probably baseball. But the thing I learned about hockey is
- 26:17Speaker 1: that it's incredibly hard to predict, and no one really
- 26:20Speaker 1: knows what they're talking about. You could be right about
- 26:22Speaker 1: your your analysis and this and and the and the
- 26:25Speaker 1: actual outcomes still go to opposite way. So that just
- 26:29Speaker 1: inclines me to take the value. I just don't think
- 26:34Speaker 1: there's vagus. I don't think they can win. If you
- 26:36Speaker 1: point you don't think they could win. But if you
- 26:38Speaker 1: want to look at if you had that approach in
- 26:41Speaker 1: the West, I would agree with you because I think
- 26:44Speaker 1: that series is a toss up in large part because
- 26:48Speaker 1: the Sharks goaltender Martin Jones is the fucking worst. Um.
- 26:56Speaker 1: San Jose is the better team. But St. Louis, even
- 26:59Speaker 1: though their goaltenders are rookie, has the better goalie, which
- 27:03Speaker 1: evens it out. So I that one. I wouldn't fault
- 27:07Speaker 1: you for taking plus money on St. Louis because I
- 27:09Speaker 1: think Martin Jones gonna give you two games in this series. Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I've actually bet some some unders on his his saves
- 27:16Speaker 1: and one, so yeah, he's kind of shaky but he uh,
- 27:19Speaker 1: he's so Jekyll and Hide. But the crazy thing about St.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Louis is, on January one of this year, St. Louis
- 27:25Speaker 1: was the worst team in the NHL, and since that
- 27:27Speaker 1: day they've been the best tea what I mean, like
- 27:29Speaker 1: a total and complete one eight. And that's the same
- 27:32Speaker 1: thing with even Goalie's Like they're really hard to predict
- 27:35Speaker 1: from streaking from night tonight, you know. So, I mean
- 27:39Speaker 1: I have I have a Sharks future. It's the only
- 27:41Speaker 1: future NHL future I have, and I bet it like
- 27:44Speaker 1: strictly based on metrics. I actually want to ask you this,
- 27:48Speaker 1: do you think that do you think that when you're
- 27:52Speaker 1: betting that watching games actually helps or it kind of
- 27:55Speaker 1: just went to to biases that maybe you wouldn't have
- 27:58Speaker 1: if you were a little more detached. I think it
- 28:00Speaker 1: depends on the sport um. I think hockey it helps
- 28:03Speaker 1: to watch. I think in baseball, you don't have to
- 28:06Speaker 1: watch baseball to baseball. I really don't. I don't think
- 28:10Speaker 1: you need to watch it, Like you don't need to
- 28:12Speaker 1: watch Paul Duke go o for four to know he's
- 28:13Speaker 1: gonna go No, obviously not Listen, you see a guy
- 28:16Speaker 1: stepping up in the two hole and he's five seven.
- 28:19Speaker 1: You know what you're dealing with. Um, Now, I agree,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I think so I feel that way about any NFL
- 28:24Speaker 1: to some extent. Like you know, there's like a big
- 28:26Speaker 1: debate in the NFL community about stats versus you know,
- 28:29Speaker 1: film and all this stuff, and I just, you know,
- 28:32Speaker 1: everyone knows I'm a big, big numbers guy. But I
- 28:34Speaker 1: mean I watched every game and I found that it
- 28:36Speaker 1: just really helps a lot to kind of clarify things
- 28:38Speaker 1: that might take hours and hours to figure out if
- 28:41Speaker 1: you were just crunching numbers. So I mean, because I
- 28:44Speaker 1: mean a lot of times in the NFL you can see,
- 28:47Speaker 1: you know, maybe a team gets out to a big
- 28:48Speaker 1: lead and then the other team is just doing whatever
- 28:50Speaker 1: they want offensively, and it could look like they're very
- 28:53Speaker 1: potent offense when really defense was given them whatever they want,
- 28:56Speaker 1: you know, So it does help to have context of things.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I think in baseball is generally very little context. I mean,
- 29:03Speaker 1: it is what it is, um because there's things you
- 29:05Speaker 1: can't even even by watching it, you can't really see.
- 29:08Speaker 1: It's like the the numbers are are more illuminating a
- 29:10Speaker 1: lot of times, especially these advanced ones. I mean you
- 29:13Speaker 1: can't see exactly like if you're watching the game, Okay,
- 29:16Speaker 1: this is all of his hot zones, and this is
- 29:18Speaker 1: exactly how hard he hit the ball. You know, like
- 29:20Speaker 1: you can't see that the same way you can the
- 29:22Speaker 1: way some of the numbers kind of show you what's
- 29:25Speaker 1: really going on. So I think baseball is a big
- 29:26Speaker 1: stats that sport Alright, so that's hockey talk. What else
- 29:31Speaker 1: we got? Um baseball? You want to talk about? Baseball stinks? Yeah?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Not really good? Um n yeah, alright, Well I'm gonna
- 29:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna break something up here that we're going to
- 29:43Speaker 1: disagree about. Oh boy, the Arizona Cardinals Cardinal stink. Clip
- 29:50Speaker 1: Kingsbury stinks. He's in over his head. He's got no
- 29:54Speaker 1: fucking idea what he's doing. He drafted an undersized quarterback
- 29:58Speaker 1: who I will give you has talent, but it's behind
- 30:01Speaker 1: and historically bad offensive line that they did very little
- 30:06Speaker 1: to address, and he is going to get that kid killed.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury over under twenty two games as head coach
- 30:15Speaker 1: of the Cardinals under man. So here's the thing. And
- 30:19Speaker 1: and it's not like I know, we joke a lot
- 30:21Speaker 1: about this, but to be serious for a second, Like
- 30:23Speaker 1: there the problem is that in the NFL, there's a
- 30:27Speaker 1: lot of nepotism that goes on. There's a lot of
- 30:29Speaker 1: you know, you know NFL lifers, you're putting other NFL
- 30:33Speaker 1: lifers in positions for power. But in reality Um and
- 30:36Speaker 1: Jim Schwartz talked about this. It's when you're looking for
- 30:39Speaker 1: for for for good coaching talent, you want to start
- 30:42Speaker 1: to look at the coaches that aren't just the guys
- 30:44Speaker 1: who have won the most games at the biggest programs,
- 30:47Speaker 1: because those are the guys that it's it's easy for
- 30:49Speaker 1: them to get talent. It's easy for them to recruit
- 30:51Speaker 1: guys because just based on a program. But you want
- 30:53Speaker 1: to look at a guy like a Kingsbury who maybe
- 30:55Speaker 1: his team was was average or below average, but his
- 30:58Speaker 1: offenses were top of the in the nation pretty much
- 31:01Speaker 1: every year. And the reason is that when you have
- 31:04Speaker 1: a when you're running then a raid offense, you're just
- 31:06Speaker 1: no one takes your defense or it too. You're not
- 31:08Speaker 1: recruiting good defensive players and your defense is gonna stink
- 31:10Speaker 1: and that then you you go five and seven or whatever,
- 31:14Speaker 1: and the perception is that you're a bad coach when
- 31:17Speaker 1: in reality you have a lot to bring to the table.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And I think that the NFL is slowly starting to
- 31:22Speaker 1: realize and change, and I think the Murray selection number
- 31:25Speaker 1: one just kind of proves that, um, the thinking is
- 31:27Speaker 1: kind of slowly shifting. Um too to be a little sharper.
- 31:31Speaker 1: So I think that you can't You can't look at
- 31:34Speaker 1: Kingsbury and say, oh, well, oh he had he had
- 31:36Speaker 1: a five and seven records last year. I'm going by
- 31:40Speaker 1: the fact that he's a vapid human being. What's have
- 31:44Speaker 1: you ever? Can I ask you a question right now?
- 31:46Speaker 1: Do you know what his voice sounds like? Yeah? I
- 31:48Speaker 1: mean do you because for a long time I have
- 31:52Speaker 1: sounded like and I heard him talk, and the man
- 31:55Speaker 1: doesn't have anything illuminating to say about anything. When you
- 31:57Speaker 1: watch Sean McVeigh talk, you're impressed by him, his command
- 32:00Speaker 1: of a room. He feels like he knows what he's doing.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Cliff Kingsbury doesn't. It looks like a deer in the headlights.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And that roster, Chris is a bad roster. I actually disagree.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I think that I think the rosters underrated. First of all,
- 32:13Speaker 1: you you know you you draft, you draft a coin
- 32:16Speaker 1: you might have a better corner opposite Patrick Peterson and
- 32:18Speaker 1: you've had in a while. The defense was never actually
- 32:20Speaker 1: bad to begin with. Um, the real issue last year
- 32:24Speaker 1: was that and and and this is a kind of
- 32:26Speaker 1: a sidebar too, everything that's going not just with Kingsbury
- 32:30Speaker 1: and Kyler, but just the Giants and the Redskins and
- 32:32Speaker 1: Haskins and everything. Like, let me ask you this, how
- 32:37Speaker 1: good do we do we think Rosen is? How good
- 32:40Speaker 1: do we think Donald is? And how good do we
- 32:42Speaker 1: think because like, you know, really that cardinal offense, I mean, Chris, Chris, Chris,
- 32:50Speaker 1: that line was awful. I don't think we have any
- 32:52Speaker 1: handle on how good Rosen is. Coming into the raft
- 32:57Speaker 1: last year, I thought Rosen was the best of the bunch.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Obviously that's not the case we just made. But see,
- 33:05Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying, you gotta pay because I think
- 33:07Speaker 1: like there was amongst the community that I would say like, no,
- 33:12Speaker 1: very well, like everyone was pretty much okay, Mayfield is
- 33:15Speaker 1: the truth, and then it was like who's the second best?
- 33:18Speaker 1: Like there wasn't even a question. So it's like that's
- 33:20Speaker 1: why I'm like when people start to say, oh, I
- 33:22Speaker 1: don't know about Kay, I don't know about kings. Just like, Yo,
- 33:24Speaker 1: this is kind of a foregone conclusion that this dude
- 33:26Speaker 1: is going to have success. It's more how much is
- 33:28Speaker 1: he gonna have? Like I think that people are just
- 33:30Speaker 1: behind the curve if you're still out there doubting that
- 33:34Speaker 1: there's going to be successful. Like the air aid offense
- 33:35Speaker 1: is not just some like gimmick offense. You're right, but
- 33:38Speaker 1: you've got to have the pieces to make it work,
- 33:40Speaker 1: all right, So but it s all right? So so
- 33:41Speaker 1: to me, I feel like from the outside, all right,
- 33:43Speaker 1: what do you you think that? What do you think of?
- 33:47Speaker 1: But they signed a few veterans. They first of all,
- 33:49Speaker 1: they got they had bad injury, looks like they had
- 33:53Speaker 1: down they didn't dress line, but they got they got,
- 33:56Speaker 1: they got they like they got veteran like that. We've
- 33:58Speaker 1: seen this over and over and if, like year to year,
- 34:02Speaker 1: you know a line, you can confuse the answer. Here's
- 34:05Speaker 1: the thing. You can cobble together a decent Well, I'm
- 34:08Speaker 1: not saying you're gonna have the best line in the league,
- 34:10Speaker 1: but first of all, you gotta remember that this is
- 34:12Speaker 1: an offense that makes it's The reads are simple, the
- 34:14Speaker 1: reads are quick. You're not holding the ball and being
- 34:18Speaker 1: like Josh Rosen was a guy who you know, he
- 34:20Speaker 1: has a little bit of ability to move around, but
- 34:22Speaker 1: he wasn't really doing that in Arizona. He was generally
- 34:25Speaker 1: a pocket quarterback, and so he's going to make the
- 34:28Speaker 1: line look worse than it is. And you gotta remember,
- 34:30Speaker 1: like like for example, Peyton Manning throughout his career, Tom
- 34:33Speaker 1: Brady even now, like his lines are only gonna look
- 34:36Speaker 1: so bad because guess what, those dudes just know how
- 34:37Speaker 1: to get rid of the ball. The air it offense
- 34:39Speaker 1: helps you get rid of the ball, like you know,
- 34:42Speaker 1: so even if they have a terrible offensive line, it's
- 34:45Speaker 1: gonna be minimized more so than it was with Rosen.
- 34:48Speaker 1: And I think with with the veterans the side, I
- 34:50Speaker 1: think it's okay. I don't think it's bottom five the
- 34:53Speaker 1: way it was last year. Anyone has the potential to
- 34:55Speaker 1: be bottom five because you're talking about six five eighty
- 34:59Speaker 1: pound due that are falling on each other's knees or
- 35:02Speaker 1: they easily anyone get her. Don't have great wide receivers there.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I think christ and Kirk is gonna be but you're
- 35:09Speaker 1: projecting that you haven't seen it yet. Well, yeah, but
- 35:12Speaker 1: this is how you this is how you got. You
- 35:16Speaker 1: have Isabella who is Chris Chris? When is her Chris?
- 35:22Speaker 1: When is the last you have David Johnson who can
- 35:24Speaker 1: put up a thousand yard teason at running back? When
- 35:27Speaker 1: is the last time a rookie wide receiver made an
- 35:29Speaker 1: enormous impact like five times to start? That's five years ago.
- 35:36Speaker 1: But like, like you're taking like specific like I'm not
- 35:39Speaker 1: saying Isabella is going to be amazingly she's gonna make
- 35:42Speaker 1: He's a fucking beast. I did and he is, But
- 35:45Speaker 1: I'm not saying, like you're Andy Isabella. Yeah, listen to
- 35:49Speaker 1: that name and tell me that's a beast. But all right,
- 35:52Speaker 1: but see you mock it now. But then there's people,
- 35:56Speaker 1: the real sharp people are going to be making money
- 35:58Speaker 1: off in more year and yeah, y'all gonna be out here.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I don't like this Kingsberg guy. He's a moron. Okay,
- 36:06Speaker 1: we'll see. Let's see how it goes in the game.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Start right, New York Chests makes the playoffs. I think
- 36:13Speaker 1: they could so so so the a s C. East,
- 36:15Speaker 1: you have the Patriots every year, and then you have
- 36:17Speaker 1: you have what I call shotgun, a f c which
- 36:19Speaker 1: is like the second best team. That team, to me,
- 36:22Speaker 1: it's the Bills. Don't tell me I'm a Bills fan.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Don't tell me that it's not true. It's not true.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I had a lot of respects what they're doing. The
- 36:29Speaker 1: Bills running backs are combined like hundred and twenty eight
- 36:32Speaker 1: running backs. Don't matter. You just told me David Johnson mattered. Yeah,
- 36:36Speaker 1: as a receiver. Josh Allen, I'm not in on why.
- 36:43Speaker 1: I don't think he's any good. I think he's better
- 36:44Speaker 1: than ros. He's gonna of his passes. All right, all right,
- 36:49Speaker 1: that ship doesn't work. Wait wait, wait, wait wait. First
- 36:51Speaker 1: of all, are you telling me, are you telling me
- 36:53Speaker 1: that Josh Allen didn't exceed your expectations last year? No?
- 36:58Speaker 1: Really interesting? No, I will give him. He was much
- 37:01Speaker 1: more athletic than I anticipated. As a passer, I think
- 37:05Speaker 1: he's But all right, do you remember a guy by
- 37:10Speaker 1: the name of Cam Newton that was similarly inaccurate? Cam
- 37:13Speaker 1: Newton ain't ever won ship. Yeah, but my point is
- 37:16Speaker 1: Cam Newton made a business decision in the Super Bowl.
- 37:19Speaker 1: He did, so you comparison to Cam Newton. First of all,
- 37:24Speaker 1: Josh Allen, Josh Allen's ceiling is a very very poor
- 37:30Speaker 1: man's Cam Newton, homeless man, Cam Newton, I disagree. I
- 37:33Speaker 1: think Josh allen ceiling is Cam Newton. Tell me, tell
- 37:39Speaker 1: me this, tell me this is Josh Allen ceiling based
- 37:42Speaker 1: on what we saw on your one. Is Josh allen
- 37:44Speaker 1: ceiling not higher than Josh Rosen's. It's higher than Rosen's.
- 37:50Speaker 1: What hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I
- 37:53Speaker 1: like Darna. I think Darn's going to be a better
- 37:55Speaker 1: pass than I'm not going to say ceiling is higher
- 37:57Speaker 1: than Roses's. No, hold on his floor is higher than Ros's.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Interesting take. I mean, well that so do you think
- 38:05Speaker 1: that just because he's mobile? In general? Yes, I agree
- 38:08Speaker 1: that athleticism will keep him around. Josh Rosen I think
- 38:12Speaker 1: could be very very good, but he also could be
- 38:15Speaker 1: really bad and be a bust and be out of
- 38:17Speaker 1: the league in three I think that's a good point.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I don't think Josh Allen's out of the league in
- 38:19Speaker 1: three years because he's a guy that teams will want
- 38:22Speaker 1: to take a chance on. He's very athletic. I think
- 38:25Speaker 1: that that is a good point because I think the
- 38:27Speaker 1: Giants got the Giants gotta mocked for for Dania Johnson.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I think there was a lot of problems with with
- 38:33Speaker 1: that pick, and I think John Marra probably had a
- 38:35Speaker 1: lot more to do with it than then, Like David
- 38:37Speaker 1: Gettiman gets a lot of heat, but I really think
- 38:39Speaker 1: he's kind of a puppet for Mara. Um and I
- 38:42Speaker 1: think that Mary needs to catch the smoke too. But um,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I think the one sharp thing about that pick was
- 38:48Speaker 1: that at least he can move like you know, like
- 38:51Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like the guy could move
- 38:53Speaker 1: like like Dwayne Haskins, contrary to Hood stephen A. Smith
- 38:56Speaker 1: may Te statue and I I just don't like, like
- 38:59Speaker 1: you have to be really good. You have to be
- 39:02Speaker 1: better than you used to have to be to be
- 39:04Speaker 1: a statue in the NFL these days, it's right, you know.
- 39:08Speaker 1: So that's the one thing I like. And that's why
- 39:09Speaker 1: I say like Josh Allen for all his so cold deficiencies,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I mean, he was, you know, he was decent last year.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I don't think he was like I don't think he
- 39:21Speaker 1: showed anything last year that would make you say I
- 39:23Speaker 1: want to see zero more of him when I want
- 39:25Speaker 1: to convention him right now, and I never want to
- 39:26Speaker 1: see him starting other game, I don't think, right and
- 39:29Speaker 1: I think and I think Josh Rosen was a lot
- 39:31Speaker 1: closer to that. Even if he makes he can make
- 39:33Speaker 1: a U year to jump and that's fine, and I
- 39:34Speaker 1: think he might do that. We don't know, but um,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I just think that Josh Allen right now still like
- 39:41Speaker 1: the jury's out, and he might have the highest sailing
- 39:43Speaker 1: of all of the non mayfield passes in that class.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And and and by the way, Robert Foster is the truth.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I like f he caught so many bad breaks at Alabama.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But they're the dudes out there that have said, like
- 39:56Speaker 1: I would rather I would rather d Upmari Cooper. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: think Beasley will help his completion percentage, giving him that
- 40:02Speaker 1: they hope, because I think that I think that he's
- 40:05Speaker 1: just not even gonna look at easily. He that's the
- 40:09Speaker 1: only reason he's say. I think Beasley is kind of
- 40:11Speaker 1: an indictment more on z A. Jones, honestly, because I
- 40:13Speaker 1: think I think you're gonna have well Cole Beasley has
- 40:15Speaker 1: never been photographed running around naked in the hotel. I mean,
- 40:18Speaker 1: because like think about it, you know, Jones was kind
- 40:20Speaker 1: of the inside, outside guy, you know, you're you're gonna
- 40:22Speaker 1: put Foster on it. He's gonna be one of the
- 40:23Speaker 1: TAF two you got. And then they signed John Brown,
- 40:25Speaker 1: which tells me that they want him one. So who's
- 40:27Speaker 1: really the odd man out there? Is they Jones? Because
- 40:30Speaker 1: they Jones could play in the slot and he probably
- 40:31Speaker 1: would have if they hadn't not so I think, you know,
- 40:34Speaker 1: and if you look at like Robert Foster had a
- 40:36Speaker 1: twenty two point nine yard average of the target last
- 40:39Speaker 1: year and he caught sixty one. Josh Allen completed sixty
- 40:42Speaker 1: one of his passes to Foster. That is absurd for average.
- 40:47Speaker 1: You have to target that for like, watch out for
- 40:49Speaker 1: this dude name So he was good to Foster and
- 40:51Speaker 1: really shittied everyone else. Well, no, his his teammates were
- 40:55Speaker 1: just I mean, you know, he was the ghost of
- 40:56Speaker 1: Charles Clay. Uh, some dude named Jason Room like ten
- 41:02Speaker 1: receivers who probably aren't even the coach of Sean McDermott.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Oh my god. That's why that's why I said to
- 41:09Speaker 1: build a shotgun in a SCS like every year, Like
- 41:11Speaker 1: there's no they had no business making a playoffs in
- 41:13Speaker 1: his first year, No business, No, absolutely not. I still
- 41:16Speaker 1: wish they kept Tyrod Taylor. I like Tyrode Taylor horrible.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Antonio has given us a fictional hundred dollars to wager. Yes,
- 41:24Speaker 1: Chad Melman's doppelganger, Antonio, Chad Melman's Mexican doppelganger, has given
- 41:31Speaker 1: us a fictional hundred dollars to wager. He said, Mexican
- 41:34Speaker 1: like you had a problem with it. No, you don't
- 41:37Speaker 1: want to build a wall in front of Antonio Cuban.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm I'm severally sorry. All right, So
- 41:43Speaker 1: let's go to the last segment. Um, Antonio has given
- 41:47Speaker 1: us a fictional hundred dollars to wager with. If you
- 41:50Speaker 1: were to have that money in your hand right now
- 41:52Speaker 1: at a sports book, where would you bet it? The
- 41:56Speaker 1: nearest prostitute, because it's always a bet when it's a prostitute. Three.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Antonio has handed us a fictional hundred dollars. Let's pretend
- 42:12Speaker 1: you're in a sports book right now. What are you
- 42:14Speaker 1: betting it on? Mhm? I think, well, first, I think
- 42:19Speaker 1: I'm definitely going with I'm not going with any futures
- 42:21Speaker 1: or anything like that. No live action in the next
- 42:23Speaker 1: couple days. Uh, you know, I think I think I
- 42:27Speaker 1: would go with with the with the Nuggets on a
- 42:30Speaker 1: road because I think you're getting good value there. And
- 42:32Speaker 1: I think that you know, if you look at Portlands
- 42:34Speaker 1: under under Terry stots Um, you know, coming off a loss,
- 42:37Speaker 1: even they they're covering. I forget the exact rate, but
- 42:40Speaker 1: I mentioned there, it's like it's terrible um and so
- 42:44Speaker 1: I just I just don't think they have an answer
- 42:45Speaker 1: for Yokos. So I've been on them and I probably
- 42:47Speaker 1: bet on the on it's around Raptors as well. You know,
- 42:50Speaker 1: if you and if you look at home Underdogs which
- 42:53Speaker 1: is sixers are Um in game six or seven in
- 42:56Speaker 1: the playoffs, they have a similarly do a little money
- 43:00Speaker 1: line parlay Nuggets rapt I mean they tell me that
- 43:04Speaker 1: money line parleys. They tell me parley is a kind
- 43:06Speaker 1: of negative expected value. So I don't know if we
- 43:09Speaker 1: should be recommending that we have a bunch of nerds.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I mean, if we if you were to parley the
- 43:14Speaker 1: Raptors and Nuggets money line, it's plus three forty two
- 43:18Speaker 1: right now, we can turn that hundred into a sweet
- 43:20Speaker 1: three forty two. So that's what you're advocating, That's that's
- 43:23Speaker 1: what you're going with it. That's what I'm doing. How many?
- 43:25Speaker 1: How many? What percentage of your bets are party? Very few?
- 43:30Speaker 1: Very I thought you. I thought you're a big party guy. Yeah.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Sometimes the NFL season I'll mess around with money line parlays,
- 43:36Speaker 1: but not really other than football. Is there any reason
- 43:39Speaker 1: for that? Uh? It's hard enough to win one bet,
- 43:44Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. And now and now you want
- 43:46Speaker 1: to you want to bet these things. I agree with
- 43:47Speaker 1: you though about the Nuggets. I would the Nuggets money
- 43:49Speaker 1: line and plus one fifty. I love that. I love it.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Why not? I mean again, I wasn't big on the Nuggets,
- 43:55Speaker 1: but I mean, yo, kich is just they have no
- 43:57Speaker 1: answer none. All right, everybody, thank you for listening to
