  - Hello, and welcome to today's daily prayer.

  - Our focus today is what to do when
• 1:22
  - we keep looking for validation from everyone else.

  - And the scripture that I wanna pull from

  - comes from Galatians one ten
• 1:30
  - and says, am I now trying to win
• 1:32
  - the approval of human beings or of God?
• 1:36
  - And I wanna start the prayer focused conversation
• 1:40
  - by
• 1:41
  - saying that it's not necessarily
• 1:43
  - such a bad thing
• 1:45
  - to
• 1:46
  - want
• 1:47
  - the
• 1:48
  - validation
• 1:50
  - of of other people to a degree. Right?
• 1:52
  - We all wanna do a good job, whether
• 1:54
  - we're we're working or,
• 1:57
  - have our own business or whether we, you
• 1:59
  - know, wanna be the best spouse or,
• 2:02
  - do the best job according to whatever it
• 2:04
  - is that we're we're doing. Right? And there's
• 2:06
  - nothing wrong with that. But one of the
• 2:09
  - challenges that we are being faced with today
• 2:12
  - is that social media has made comparison
• 2:15
  - and approval seeking
• 2:16
  - a daily struggle.
• 2:19
  - I I don't think there's anything wrong with
• 2:21
  - us wanting likes and agreement and affirmation and
• 2:24
  - reassurance.
• 2:25
  - I think that sometimes what happens is that
• 2:29
  - because of the culture, right, we're we're on
• 2:32
  - overdrive,
• 2:33
  - and we focus on other people's opinions
• 2:37
  - more than focusing on the voice of God,
• 2:40
  - and his discernment
• 2:41
  - can really become difficult.
• 2:43
  - And,
• 2:45
  - one of the prayers that I I often
• 2:47
  - pray
• 2:48
  - to combat this is,
• 2:50
  - you know, deliver
• 2:52
  - deliver
• 2:53
  - me from
• 2:54
  - the opinions of others, but also deliver me
• 2:57
  - from the opinions of myself,
• 2:59
  - you know?

  - And although social media is a is a
• 3:03
  - big challenge, right, sometimes we are our own
• 3:06
  - Uber's enemy. Right? We tell ourselves we're not
• 3:08
  - smart enough. We tell ourselves we're not pretty
• 3:10
  - enough. We tell ourselves we're not anointed enough.
• 3:12
  - We tell ourselves we can't achieve what it
• 3:14
  - is that God has for us because we're
• 3:16
  - just not.
• 3:17
  - And whatever that not is, just fill in
• 3:20
  - the blank. Right?
• 3:21
  - But the truth of the matter is is
• 3:23
  - that
• 3:24
  - the scripture tells us that God not only
• 3:26
  - made us
• 3:27
  - with great intent, but he knows the plans
• 3:30
  - that he had for us
• 3:32
  - with that intent.
• 3:34
  - And because of it,
• 3:36
  - the one that we should always be seeking
• 3:38
  - the approval from is him.
• 3:41
  - And
• 3:42
  - when we do that,
• 3:44
  - we will not only have the confidence
• 3:47
  - to pursue
• 3:49
  - and
• 3:50
  - complete whatever the task is before us,
• 3:53
  - but we can do it with great,
• 3:56
  - joy and great peace,
• 3:59
  - knowing that

  - it's not about
• 4:03
  - us,
• 4:04
  - but the God in us.

  - And when we remember that,

  - it will bring down our stress.

  - It'll bring down our anxiety.

  - It'll build our trust
• 4:21
  - and bring us closer to him.

  - That being said,

  - let's pray together.

  - Heavenly father, help us to seek your approval

  - above everyone else's.

  - Free us from constantly comparing ourselves

  - of needing validation
• 4:37
  - to feel secure.

  - Teach us to be confident in who you
• 4:43
  - created us to be.
• 4:45
  - Let your path and your truth for our
• 4:48
  - life shape our identity,
• 4:50
  - and your voice guide our choices.

  - We want to live for your approval
• 4:57
  - alone,
• 4:58
  - the audience of one. And we will bless
