- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice for sure. It's time nice. Hey level no no
- 0:15Speaker 1: no no, no, no, no no. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter. It's Friday, which means our
- 0:21Speaker 1: dear friend Corey. Andrew joins says, hey, Corey, are you there?
- 0:23Speaker 1: I am here. Happy Friday everyone. We've missed you, my friend.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'm just getting my head up out of the sand
- 0:32Speaker 1: with all this book promotion. Smash Book came out a
- 0:35Speaker 1: week ago. It was thrilling, it was exciting. It was
- 0:39Speaker 1: a lot of hard work. I'm not complaining, but I
- 0:41Speaker 1: just didn't have any time to think about anything but
- 0:44Speaker 1: selling books. I'm doing this podcast. I love doing this
- 0:47Speaker 1: show every day. So thank you everybody that's stuck by
- 0:50Speaker 1: me supported me over the last week or so. It
- 0:52Speaker 1: has been thrilling. I will never ever forget this moment,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and that's because of you naughties. Thank you, thank you,
- 0:59Speaker 1: thank you. Let's jump into the show. What time is it,
- 1:01Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea time. So. Britney Spears has
- 1:04Speaker 1: been officially charged in a California dui case. She's been
- 1:09Speaker 1: charged with a misdemeanor driving under the influence after California
- 1:13Speaker 1: officers say they spotted the pot Star driving fast and
- 1:16Speaker 1: erratically in March, so a few months ago. She has
- 1:21Speaker 1: since been to rehab. I can let you know exclusively.
- 1:24Speaker 1: She's now out of rehab. She got out late last night,
- 1:28Speaker 1: so she's now home. She is aware that these charges
- 1:33Speaker 1: have been filed. I have a story today on my
- 1:35Speaker 1: sub stack saying how frightened she is. I also have
- 1:38Speaker 1: some friends of Britney saying she's really fragile and they
- 1:41Speaker 1: just don't think she will survive jail. However, the prosecutors
- 1:45Speaker 1: are working to figure out a way that she can.
- 1:49Speaker 1: She can go through this without ending up in jail.
- 1:52Speaker 1: There are other things that she can do, community service,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and lots of other options. It is a misdemeanor. It's serious.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Though it is serious, It's not the first time this
- 2:03Speaker 1: has happened. Obviously, Brittany has been struggling, struggling. She tried
- 2:07Speaker 1: to keep it a secret for a long time, but
- 2:09Speaker 1: after this arrest, it was really obvious to everybody that
- 2:12Speaker 1: Brittany needed help. They say going to rehab trying to
- 2:17Speaker 1: get help is a good look, and it helps when
- 2:20Speaker 1: you're standing in court because your lawyer can claim rightly.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So in most cases that you are trying to make
- 2:26Speaker 1: your life better, that you have learned a lesson. So
- 2:29Speaker 1: I think going to rehab was really important, not only
- 2:32Speaker 1: for Britney's mental health and for being there because she
- 2:35Speaker 1: needs that help, but also to legally. I think it
- 2:37Speaker 1: was a very very good maneuver because now they can
- 2:40Speaker 1: prove to the judge that she didn't go in for
- 2:42Speaker 1: twenty four hours. She went there for a few weeks.
- 2:45Speaker 1: She took it seriously. Now she's not driving. We spotted
- 2:48Speaker 1: her out in LA last night. She was in the
- 2:51Speaker 1: passenger seat. Somebody else was driving. So that's a good
- 2:54Speaker 1: thing too. It makes me really worried. You know, we
- 2:57Speaker 1: can't have a justice system where rich people get off,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and we can't have a justice system where people that
- 3:03Speaker 1: are too fragile to go to jail don't go. You
- 3:05Speaker 1: can't say to the judge, oh, you know, I don't
- 3:07Speaker 1: think i'll survive prison. He'll be like, oh, Rob, then
- 3:10Speaker 1: you don't need to go. That isn't how it works.
- 3:13Speaker 1: But I do have a lot of sympathy here. We
- 3:14Speaker 1: know she's fragile, We've seen her. Anyone that's watched those
- 3:17Speaker 1: videos over the last few years knows that Britney's mental state.
- 3:22Speaker 1: It's very, very, very tricky. What do you think, Corey?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean to your point, it's a multi layered
- 3:27Speaker 2: situation because she's got mental health issues already which could
- 3:30Speaker 2: work in her favorite if the courts have to give
- 3:33Speaker 2: her some sort of leniency, they can say, look, this
- 3:35Speaker 2: is a troubled girl. Jail is not the place. Treatment
- 3:38Speaker 2: is the place. I do also think though two weeks
- 3:42Speaker 2: is not a lot of time, you know, I think
- 3:44Speaker 2: that someone with her issues she needs really deep therapy.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Probably she needs to be impatient. She needs to be
- 3:51Speaker 2: at a facility. And it's not an asylum by any means.
- 3:55Speaker 2: It's an actual place that deals with your addiction issues.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And you know what, she's lucky it was a mister,
- 4:00Speaker 2: because she didn't kill anybody or harm anybody. That is
- 4:03Speaker 2: how And I know from experience from families, you know,
- 4:06Speaker 2: situation in my world years ago. It can quickly go
- 4:10Speaker 2: from a misdemeanor to you are in prison and you
- 4:12Speaker 2: are sobering up, going, oh my god, what did I do?
- 4:16Speaker 2: And you realize there's a fatality. Now that is what
- 4:19Speaker 2: she potentially could have faced, right, So it is serious.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It can impact others you could take someone's life. It's
- 4:25Speaker 2: very serious. So she got lucky, and I think she
- 4:27Speaker 2: should take that luck and maybe try and really do
- 4:30Speaker 2: good this time and get better.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we got lucky too. That's what I always
- 4:35Speaker 1: remember when you get in a car drunk, when you
- 4:39Speaker 1: get in a car on drugs, There are innocent people
- 4:42Speaker 1: walking around, Ye, there are. There are people walking. I
- 4:45Speaker 1: walk down the street every single day, mine in your
- 4:47Speaker 1: business in New York City, cars are whizzing past us.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We try to be safe. But somebody's bad decision is
- 4:52Speaker 1: not just going to affect their life, but could potentially
- 4:55Speaker 1: change mind forever. And so I have very little tolerance
- 4:58Speaker 1: here over people drive while they're drunk. I just don't
- 5:02Speaker 1: think it's fair to everybody else. If you want to
- 5:04Speaker 1: sit at home and drink and put your life at risk,
- 5:07Speaker 1: that's up to you. You're not harding anybody else. But
- 5:10Speaker 1: I do have very little tolerance here about people who
- 5:13Speaker 1: jump behind the wheel and then we feel sorry for them.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's easy to feel sorry for Britney because she's got
- 5:18Speaker 1: so much going on, and we love her. She's an American's
- 5:20Speaker 1: pop princess. We've seen her grove, we've seen her fall.
- 5:23Speaker 1: We've seen her rise, We've seen every aspect of her life.
- 5:25Speaker 1: So I do have feelings towards Britney Spears. However, I
- 5:29Speaker 1: can't let that cloud my judgment that what she did
- 5:32Speaker 1: was really dangerous. It could have really forget her for
- 5:35Speaker 1: a minute. It could have killed somebody, an innocent person
- 5:38Speaker 1: out walk in their dog, going around at LA, having
- 5:41Speaker 1: a fun night out with a friend, and suddenly bang
- 5:45Speaker 1: and something changes forever. And so I hope that the
- 5:49Speaker 1: judge does not take into account her celebrity. I do
- 5:53Speaker 1: hope all judges take into account people's mental health. I'm very,
- 5:58Speaker 1: very compassionate about people and jail's but I don't think
- 6:02Speaker 1: you can say she's too weak to go to jail.
- 6:05Speaker 1: If that was the case, nobody would go to jail.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Nobody wants to go to jail. And so this is
- 6:11Speaker 1: tricky mindsight. As I spoke to some legal experts last night,
- 6:14Speaker 1: they said they doubt it. They don't think that she's
- 6:17Speaker 1: going to go to jail now. I don't think so
- 6:18Speaker 1: unless in the next few weeks she does something really stupid.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So Brittany, watch yourself, Watch yourself, Which brings us to
- 6:26Speaker 1: our pole question of the day Brittany has been charged
- 6:30Speaker 1: in a California d UI case. Do you think she'll
- 6:34Speaker 1: go to jail? It's still on the table. Do you
- 6:37Speaker 1: think she will go to jail? Yes? Or no? Hey,
- 6:39Speaker 1: go vote on our Twitter page Naughty Nice Rob. Our
- 6:43Speaker 1: facebook page is Naughty Josip and be sure to check
- 6:47Speaker 1: back on Monday. Here your results. Hey, Corey Love, what
- 6:51Speaker 1: are you working on? Yes?
- 6:53Speaker 2: It just makes me laugh because you know, you and
- 6:54Speaker 2: I before we began today, we had a little chat
- 6:56Speaker 2: about how life would be if we were born rit
- 7:00Speaker 2: and wealthy and rage, and so this story made me laugh.
- 7:03Speaker 1: But it's Emily Blunt. You know.
- 7:05Speaker 2: She's facing backlash after telling unhappy workers to just quit
- 7:09Speaker 2: their jobs if they hate them, even if it means
- 7:11Speaker 2: making no money, Just walk away and quit. Now it's
- 7:14Speaker 2: fine if you're her, because she literally has like an
- 7:17Speaker 2: eighty million dollar fortune. So she's out promoting devilwares Prata too,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and she's sparked outrage after advising women, specifically in a
- 7:24Speaker 2: YouTube video to just leave your unfulfilling work if you
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't like it, and find something that quote you deeply
- 7:30Speaker 2: want to do, And then she added, even if you're
- 7:33Speaker 2: earning no money, as long as you love it.
- 7:35Speaker 1: You'll be happy. Now.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Critics were not having it. They slammed her immediately, and
- 7:39Speaker 2: they said the comment was wildly out of touch, noting
- 7:42Speaker 2: that her estimated fortune, as I mentioned, which is eighty
- 7:45Speaker 2: million dollars, makes her advice far easier said than lived,
- 7:49Speaker 2: and social media users called the remark privileged, delusional, and insulting,
- 7:53Speaker 2: with many people pointing out rightly so that in today's
- 7:57Speaker 2: brutal economy, many people can't even find work, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 2: let alone if you do fine work, you're not gonna
- 8:03Speaker 2: walk away from a paycheck to go, you know, plant
- 8:05Speaker 2: daisies in the backyard and go, oh, I'm so happy
- 8:08Speaker 2: without money. So, you know, I think a lot of
- 8:11Speaker 2: times celebrities have to be very careful with this tone
- 8:13Speaker 2: deaf advice. You see it a lot with them. And
- 8:17Speaker 2: then you also see someone like Charlie's staron Who I Love,
- 8:19Speaker 2: who's like, no, I've been broke, okay, it's not fun,
- 8:23Speaker 2: so fun, and you know, so I love that. There's
- 8:25Speaker 2: both sides of that, But yeah, I think Emily blow
- 8:26Speaker 2: And then she's got the sister who's married to Stanley Tuci.
- 8:29Speaker 2: I mean her whole life is like out of Disney,
- 8:32Speaker 2: So she's not the person to give advice.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and she's married to John Krasinski. Yeah, No, I
- 8:37Speaker 1: know she's friends with Meryl Street. It is. It is awful,
- 8:40Speaker 1: And I think what she's trying to say here is
- 8:42Speaker 1: be happy in life. I think that's what she's trying
- 8:44Speaker 1: to say, and that is the goal of everybody. However,
- 8:47Speaker 1: most of us have to worry about paying our bills. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and I wish we didn't have to worry about that,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but that's a reality. I have taken jobs that I
- 8:54Speaker 1: really didn't like because I had no choice. I didn't
- 8:57Speaker 1: take a job that I hated because I wanted it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I had to pay the bills. And then while I
- 9:02Speaker 1: had that job, I was smart enough. And I think
- 9:05Speaker 1: this is I hope this is what Emily is getting
- 9:07Speaker 1: to I knew I wasn't going to have this job forever.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I knew while I was paying my bills, I had
- 9:12Speaker 1: to pay my bills. I had a stinker of a job,
- 9:15Speaker 1: But while I was doing that job, I was looking
- 9:17Speaker 1: for another. Sure, don't try not to be miserable for
- 9:22Speaker 1: a long period of time. You have to do what
- 9:24Speaker 1: you have to do. I did not grow up rich.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I at university really struggled. Some days we didn't really eat,
- 9:30Speaker 1: like we had no money, no money at all. And
- 9:33Speaker 1: I remember I got a job in a pizza hut
- 9:36Speaker 1: and at the end of the night a terrible waiter.
- 9:39Speaker 1: But at the end of the night I used to
- 9:40Speaker 1: take home the pizzas that we didn't sell to feed
- 9:43Speaker 1: my people, the friends that I lived with. We lived
- 9:47Speaker 1: on free pizzas for like a year. It was the
- 9:50Speaker 1: happiest time in my life. It was the happiest job.
- 9:52Speaker 1: But I had to do that job to pay my rent,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and so Emily I trust. I want to believe that
- 9:57Speaker 1: this is coming from a good place, and I want
- 9:59Speaker 1: I want able to be happy. And there's so much
- 10:02Speaker 1: of our day that we spend at a job. There
- 10:04Speaker 1: is We've all done it. We've all had jobs that
- 10:07Speaker 1: just made us miserable. I really want us to find happiness.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I want us to find enough money to pay our bills,
- 10:12Speaker 1: to have the life that we like, a nice life.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I can't afford a ferrari, I can't afford a new
- 10:18Speaker 1: pair of shoes every week, but I have a nice life.
- 10:21Speaker 1: And it has taken a while to get here. But
- 10:24Speaker 1: to give people advice just to quit, I think that's
- 10:28Speaker 1: really dangerous. I think it's really dangerous. It's really entitled.
- 10:32Speaker 1: You can't just quit if you were listening to this
- 10:34Speaker 1: and you don't like your job, and there's many of
- 10:36Speaker 1: us who have been there, who might be there right now.
- 10:39Speaker 1: My device is, don't quit, but find an escape. Try
- 10:42Speaker 1: and find a way to make the job that you
- 10:45Speaker 1: don't like into a job that you like. I used
- 10:47Speaker 1: to do that. I worked at a sports shop and
- 10:49Speaker 1: I knew nothing about sports, but I tried to learn
- 10:53Speaker 1: stuff that every day. I was like, I'm gonna have
- 10:55Speaker 1: a good day because I'm gonna learn about badminton, I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: gonna learn about tennis, I'm learn about critic cricket. So
- 11:01Speaker 1: you can make a job more interesting and then have
- 11:04Speaker 1: a big picture. You might not see the plan yet,
- 11:07Speaker 1: you might not even have a plan, but try and
- 11:10Speaker 1: find something to do each day that makes you happy.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Because we spend so many hours doing it. What eight
- 11:17Speaker 1: nine hours, I'm twelve sometimes twelve hours. Try and be happy.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I think that's what she's trying to say. I'm not
- 11:24Speaker 1: quite sure, but I think so okay, moving forward, Scarlett
- 11:27Speaker 1: Johansson had a brutal one word reaction when Colin Joys
- 11:30Speaker 1: bought that Staten Island ferry. Thenybody bought that fairy for
- 11:32Speaker 1: two hundred thousand with Pete David Saon. They're going to
- 11:34Speaker 1: turn it into a hotel. I can see you know,
- 11:36Speaker 1: none of that has happened. He said, honeybe we bought
- 11:38Speaker 1: a fairy, and she said we. That was her response, We,
- 11:41Speaker 1: not me. This is your fairy, this is your mess,
- 11:45Speaker 1: this is your money. I want no part of that.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm very very aware of when I speak on behalf
- 11:51Speaker 1: of myself, and I speak on behalf of Bruce and
- 11:54Speaker 1: I are my friends and I I don't use the
- 11:56Speaker 1: word we unless it really is, unless it really is.
- 12:02Speaker 1: This was not a way plot. You bought that fairy.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I think it's still sitting there.
- 12:07Speaker 2: It was like nothing going on with it. It's just
- 12:09Speaker 2: like a floating barge right now and its river like.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I don't know what that was, but.
- 12:15Speaker 2: You know sometimes and now here's the thing again about
- 12:17Speaker 2: having having money. Charlotte talks about being poor, and she
- 12:21Speaker 2: talks about that a lie. She's very connected to underprivileged.
- 12:24Speaker 1: She knows what it was like.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I think in her mind too, she's a
- 12:27Speaker 2: little bit like she's aware of excess and like, did
- 12:30Speaker 2: we do we need to do this? And what is it?
- 12:32Speaker 1: What is it?
- 12:33Speaker 2: What is the benefit of it?
- 12:34Speaker 1: I think she's thinking on those terms. She yeah, well
- 12:37Speaker 1: she makes twenty million dollars, right, she she could renovate
- 12:41Speaker 1: this fairry with all our buddy, I'd say, but it's
- 12:43Speaker 1: not we be called the Scarlet Johnson Faarah.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, can she can like take kids around
- 12:50Speaker 2: New York to like different like underprivileged kids.
- 12:53Speaker 1: That's Charlotte Honey listening, Pete Colin, We did not buy
- 12:57Speaker 1: a fairy. You bought the fa Okay, talking of excess?
- 13:02Speaker 1: What is Laurence Sanchez up to night? They just can't
- 13:04Speaker 1: help themselves. They just can't help you know.
- 13:07Speaker 2: It's like, listen, I don't want to bash them because
- 13:09Speaker 2: you know, who knows maybe at a party one day with.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Them, might need a job, might need a job.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And he's the guy with the money. But she's so
- 13:16Speaker 2: garish to me sometimes. But in any event, Lauren Sanchez,
- 13:19Speaker 2: she stuns in a two hundred emerald white uh white,
- 13:24Speaker 2: wait wait, let me let me start again, because I
- 13:25Speaker 2: want to be sure I get this right. So she
- 13:27Speaker 2: stunned in a two hundred carrot emerald gown at the
- 13:31Speaker 2: White House Galla. I almost wanted to say white diamonds
- 13:34Speaker 2: because it was like Liz Taylor would have worn this
- 13:36Speaker 2: probably years ago. But Lauren Sanchez, Yeah, she made sure
- 13:39Speaker 2: all the eyes were on her at the White House
- 13:41Speaker 2: state dinner and she was dripping again in Colombian emeralds.
- 13:45Speaker 2: To be more specific. Now, the newly wed arrived at
- 13:48Speaker 2: a sleek black off the shoulder gown, letting her draw
- 13:50Speaker 2: dropping Lorraine Schwartz neckline and her necklace do all the talking.
- 13:56Speaker 2: It was like a massive statement on her. And well
- 13:59Speaker 2: it's well when we talk about massive in that area
- 14:02Speaker 2: of her body.
- 14:03Speaker 1: She's very flirtations, she shows off the goods. The twins
- 14:07Speaker 1: are always sitting as we call it.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so anyway, but she piled on even more sparkle,
- 14:11Speaker 2: of course, with oversized diamonds and a glittery clutch bag
- 14:15Speaker 2: and a soft updo. It's just she's just to me,
- 14:18Speaker 2: she tries too hard to I think, be accepted or
- 14:23Speaker 2: a style icon. But she does all the obvious things,
- 14:26Speaker 2: all the over the top gowns, all the you know,
- 14:28Speaker 2: the the heaving cleavage, all the all the obvious things,
- 14:32Speaker 2: and that is not what style is to me. So
- 14:34Speaker 2: I don't want to get into my whole Andre Tally mode,
- 14:37Speaker 2: because I can go there, but I just think that,
- 14:39Speaker 2: you know, the look was a dramatic look for her,
- 14:40Speaker 2: and she was soft glamour in some regards, but it
- 14:43Speaker 2: was still to me, over the top. And what do
- 14:45Speaker 2: you think of her style?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Yeah, there's something about this whole dinner. I loved the
- 14:49Speaker 1: King and Queen. I'm a momoicus, but there's something about
- 14:51Speaker 1: all these rich billionaires going for dinner that I'm paying for.
- 14:54Speaker 1: The taxpayer paid for Jeff Bass. You and me paid
- 14:57Speaker 1: for Jeff Besios his dinner that night. You didn't to check.
- 15:00Speaker 1: If you and me had gone for dinner at the
- 15:03Speaker 1: White House, we wouldn't have been allowed it. They wouldn't
- 15:07Speaker 1: have invited her. So I don't get it. The met
- 15:10Speaker 1: Ball is coming up and Lauren Sanchez and Jeff are
- 15:12Speaker 1: sponsoring that, and you know they're going to turn up
- 15:14Speaker 1: in hundreds of thousands of dollars and maybe millions of
- 15:17Speaker 1: dollars worth of diamonds. It just feels I don't know
- 15:20Speaker 1: what it is. Something has changed with me. Maybe it's inflation,
- 15:23Speaker 1: maybe it's the economy. Maybe it's so many of my
- 15:26Speaker 1: friends have lost their jobs are struggling at the moment,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I just think it's I used to think the Met
- 15:31Speaker 1: Ball was so glamorous. Balls just ballrooms and balls. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: used to think of them like I was Cinderella, And
- 15:37Speaker 1: then I realized Cinderella doesn't get invited to that ball.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I looked at the guest list at King Charles's state dinner.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It's all really wealthy, billion not just million. Look at
- 15:48Speaker 1: the same millionaires, not just the billion, just the money,
- 15:53Speaker 1: the room, the power, the connections. Will never be allowed
- 15:58Speaker 1: in that room. It really just rubbed me. I don't
- 16:00Speaker 1: not quite sure. I think at the Met Ball that's
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna have consequences this year too. It's so over the
- 16:06Speaker 1: top when people are struggling. I'm not telling rich people
- 16:09Speaker 1: they can't go out and have fun. Go ahead, But
- 16:12Speaker 1: I don't know. There was something about this that was
- 16:14Speaker 1: just a little Gordon, Yeah, lot Gordy. Okay, we're going
- 16:16Speaker 1: to take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Welcome back to the naughty but nice on your hairstill shooter. Hey,
- 16:24Speaker 1: we do not have a poll today, but don't forget
- 16:27Speaker 1: to vote on today's poul Go to my Twitter page
- 16:30Speaker 1: which had naughty nice rob about facebook page gossip, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: be sure to check back on Monday to hear your
- 16:35Speaker 1: results and no of the day.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a personal one for me too because
- 16:44Speaker 2: I kind of feel I feel like Goldie with this one.
- 16:46Speaker 2: So Goldie Horn is revealing the secret to her forty
- 16:50Speaker 2: three happy years with Kurt Russell. Now. She is saying
- 16:53Speaker 2: that the secret to her love story with Kurt is
- 16:55Speaker 2: simple freedom, family, and never trying to control each other. Now,
- 17:00Speaker 2: the Oscar winner says she still feels liberation in a
- 17:02Speaker 2: relationship and never feels penned in by Russell, so to speak,
- 17:06Speaker 2: like trapped now. It's a dynamic that she believes has
- 17:09Speaker 2: kept their bond strong for more than four decades. But
- 17:12Speaker 2: she does admit they don't agree on everything, and most
- 17:15Speaker 2: notably recently in the headlines were political issues where apparently
- 17:19Speaker 2: they have two very different perspectives on politics. But she
- 17:22Speaker 2: says that their differences have never really mattered when it
- 17:25Speaker 2: comes to what's truly holding them together, which is their family.
- 17:28Speaker 2: He's a family man, so I think that's really wonderful personally,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I just put it out there. I can't really probably
- 17:33Speaker 2: be with someone in a relationship that doesn't share my
- 17:35Speaker 2: same political views. But that's just that's just me. But
- 17:39Speaker 2: it's working for them, so that's great.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I love this. I love this, I love her, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: love Kurt. I love that they've been together forty three.
- 17:46Speaker 1: What I do like that they're not penned in. They
- 17:48Speaker 1: both have their own lives as well as their wonderful
- 17:51Speaker 1: life together, and still they're still still marriage married, not
- 17:55Speaker 1: getting married, and now I know what she's taking. Joe
- 17:58Speaker 1: Judici from the Housewives of Jersey says that his crimes
- 18:02Speaker 1: were minimal and he shouldn't have been deported. So he's
- 18:05Speaker 1: downplaying he's fraud and tax crimes that sent him to
- 18:09Speaker 1: prison and ultimately out of the country. He's calling them stupid,
- 18:12Speaker 1: not himself stupid. The crimes look, it's what and he
- 18:16Speaker 1: says they're minimal and he doesn't believe that he should
- 18:20Speaker 1: have been kicked out. The rules are the rules. This
- 18:24Speaker 1: is what the problem is with these reality stars. You
- 18:26Speaker 1: hurt people, you stole from people, You gotta pay your taxes,
- 18:31Speaker 1: you're stealing from all of us. I don't want to
- 18:34Speaker 1: celebrate these people. I would have fired Teresa went to
- 18:36Speaker 1: jail too. Why is she still on that show? Why
- 18:39Speaker 1: does Bravo support these really disgusting people, not right and
- 18:44Speaker 1: Naughticut of the day, let's end with a moment of
- 18:47Speaker 1: start imagining the best case scenario. So practice every day
- 18:51Speaker 1: imagining everything just goes well. It's not a fantasy, it's training.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Your mind rehearses disasters without being asked. The miss or
- 19:00Speaker 1: the bad news or the rejections. It's always in your mind.
- 19:02Speaker 1: The failure. That's always in your mind. Flip that habit now,
- 19:05Speaker 1: every day, spend a couple of minutes, just a few minutes,
- 19:07Speaker 1: imagining that everything might just go right. You might have
- 19:11Speaker 1: a great meeting, you might get some really good news
- 19:14Speaker 1: that plan it might work. You might feel calm, prepared
- 19:18Speaker 1: and capable. That is not denial. It's mental conditioning. It's
- 19:22Speaker 1: mental training. Your brain follows the pictures that you repeat,
- 19:26Speaker 1: so every day repeat you know what, it could just
- 19:30Speaker 1: all work out fine. Optimism isn't naive, it's not it's
- 19:37Speaker 1: preparation for success. If I thought of everything that could
- 19:41Speaker 1: go wrong, I'd never do anything. I wouldn't write a book.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't have a podcast, I wouldn't started a substack.
- 19:46Speaker 1: They all went fine, some of them went great. But
- 19:48Speaker 1: it can work out fine. So the next time that
- 19:52Speaker 1: that horrible thought, it will creep into my brain. Today
- 19:54Speaker 1: it will creep into yours too. This is a disaster,
- 19:56Speaker 1: this isn't gonna work Stop and say, you know what,
- 20:00Speaker 1: could all just be fine? Hey, that is it for
- 20:04Speaker 1: this week. Thank you so much for listening. They naughty

- 20:19Speaker 1: of gossip from me. Just the two hundred word little thing.
- 20:21Speaker 1: It's like a little piece of candle throughout the day.
- 20:23Speaker 1: One in the morning, one around lunchtime, one at night.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It takes two minutes to read. And also too, if
- 20:28Speaker 1: you haven't haven't ordered my book, it is out now.
