Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Tova Noel Denies Being Orange Shape Seen Near Epstein’s Cell (6/8/26)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Over the past twenty four hours, the House
- 0:07Oversight Committee has released the transcripts from their depositions with
- 0:12Touvin o Well and with Paum Bondi, and over the
- 0:15next few days we're going to be diving into both
- 0:17of those transcripts. But in this episode, we're going to
- 0:21talk a little bit more about toven O Well and
- 0:24the night of Jeffrey Epstein's death. And look, I've never
- 0:27been of the mind that Tauvin Owell and Michael Thomas
- 0:31were people that you know, were on Jeffrey Epstein's payroll.
- 0:35This goes much higher than them. And I've never been
- 0:37convinced of the official narrative. And now that we've went
- 0:41through a lot of those OIG interviews that were given
- 0:44by guards, that were given by people that were working
- 0:46at MCC at the time, I don't believe for a
- 0:49minute the official narrative. Nobody wants to take responsibility for
- 0:54the fact that Jeffrey Epstein was supposed to have a cellmate.
- 0:57Everybody knew it, and the people on high they were
- 1:00the ones that screwed up at MCC. These guards, of course,
- 1:04they should have done their job. But they're just a
- 1:07cog in the machine. They're just a spoke in the wheel.
- 1:11But the people who made these decisions, the people that
- 1:14are even above the warden, those are the people that
- 1:17have some explaining to do, as far as I'm concerned,
- 1:19And of course those are the people that will never
- 1:22ever explain themselves. Today's article is from CBS News, and
- 1:27the headline correction officer testifies she was not the orange
- 1:30shape seen near Jeffrey epstein cell the night that he died. Okay,
- 1:35then who was it? What was it? And why have
- 1:37we been told time and time again that it was
- 1:39Tovin nowell, I mean, that was the official narrative for
- 1:41how long? And now she's out here telling Congress that
- 1:44it wasn't her. Okay, who was it? This article was
- 1:48authored by Daniel Rutnik, a former correction officer at New
- 1:52York Correctional Facility where convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died
- 1:57in twenty nineteen, testified before the House Versid Committee last
- 2:01month that she was not the orange shape seen moving
- 2:04up the stairs of Epstein's here the night he died,
- 2:07furthering the mystery of what happened that night? Yeah, no shit,
- 2:12The cameras just happened to be broken. The guards fall asleep.
- 2:16Everybody forgets that ephrin Reyes is wab. People happened to
- 2:21be out on sick leave. None of the guards remember anything.
- 2:26Nobody can explain why Nicholas start tag Leoni's in a
- 2:29jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein. None of it makes sense.
- 2:32And now on top of all of that, we know
- 2:35that it wasn't Tovin o Weel that was in that video.
- 2:38So again I ask you who was it? Because somebody
- 2:43was there, we saw the video. They can't gaslight us
- 2:46and tell us that there was nobody in that video.
- 2:48There was, so who was it? Well? According to a
- 2:52transcript released Thursday, House Overside Committee members questioned Tovin no
- 2:56Weel on May eighteenth about surveillance footage showing an unidentified
- 3:01orange colored figure moving up a staircase at approximately ten
- 3:05thirty nine pm on August ninth, twenty nineteen, the night
- 3:09before Epstein was discovered dead in his cell in the
- 3:12Special Housing unit of the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan.
- 3:17His death has been ruled a suicide, and people say Look,
- 3:21nobody could get in that cell. Well, I'm not too
- 3:24sure about that. What's the AC system look like? Could
- 3:27somebody scurry through the HVAC? I mean we heard from
- 3:31the securities guard that sometimes the doors were left unlocked.
- 3:36Was one of the shoe doors accidentally and I'm using
- 3:39air quotes here left open, so that what happened could happen. Look,
- 3:45there's passive activity and then there's active activity. And even
- 3:49if Jeffrey Epstein did take his own life, I believe
- 3:52that that was all set up by the situation with Tartaglioni,
- 3:57and then after that the government can just blame the
- 4:00fact that things were systematically screwed up and that would
- 4:04be their cover story. Look, this wasn't some kind of conspiracy.
- 4:08Nobody was out to get Epstein. The facility was just shitty.
- 4:14It was managed poorly, and the employees didn't do their job,
- 4:17and all of that might be true. But if that's
- 4:21the case, how come this didn't happen to more people?
- 4:24How come more people didn't commit suicide while at MCC Look,
- 4:28when the narrative doesn't match up with the statistical probabilities,
- 4:32there's a problem in her testimony Noel steadfastly denied being
- 4:38the individual in the footage and maintained that she was
- 4:41not present at that moment. She offered no explanation for
- 4:44what the shape could be. Well, of course not. She's
- 4:47not going to be helpful. They're all in on it.
- 4:49And when I say they're all in on it, I
- 4:51mean covering their ass. That's what this was all about
- 4:54with the guards. How many times during those interviews with
- 4:57the OIG did we hear guards say I'm not trying
- 5:00to throw anybody under the bus. How many times did
- 5:04the union reps jump in? So it's been a big
- 5:07problem as far as getting information from people that were
- 5:09there in the first place. And then you have Tovin
- 5:13Owel here. She's not going to say anything that incriminates
- 5:15herself further. She already beat this rap. To be very honest,
- 5:22I don't know what it is who it is, because
- 5:24I never went back to the tier, and I was
- 5:26never carrying anything orange at all, and I never issued
- 5:29anything orange to anyone in the shoe, not just only Epstein,
- 5:33just anyone, Noel said. CBS News had previously been the
- 5:37first to report the presence of the shape, as well
- 5:40as the FBI and Justice Department Inspector General's failure to
- 5:43question her about it. The inspector General's report had noted
- 5:47that it was likely her, but provided no evidence. An
- 5:50FBI log of the surveillance video had noted that it
- 5:54was possibly an inmate. The presence of an inmate outside
- 5:57of a cell at that time would have been highly unusual. Yeah,
- 6:01you think, why don't we have an inmate wandering around
- 6:04at that time of night, especially in the Shoe. We're
- 6:07not talking about GP, We're not talking about, you know,
- 6:10an unmanaged ward. We're talking about the Shoe special housing unit,
- 6:15you know, where everybody's supposed to be underguard, lock and key.
- 6:19But I guess in this instance, we should all just
- 6:21look the other way and chalk it up to a coincidence, right, Hell,
- 6:25maybe the inmate was doing the rounds for Toven Noell
- 6:28and Michael Thomas. Maybe that's what was happening. Yo. This
- 6:31whole entire thing is fu bar and anybody who's trying
- 6:34to pitch this bullshit as real and as the official
- 6:36story is telling you fairy tales. Because something happened in
- 6:41that Gail cell that is very different than the explanations
- 6:45that we've received. This was also the last time someone
- 6:50was seen approaching Epstein's cell tier the night of his death,
- 6:54So the last time someone was near his cell was
- 6:57a person that was carrying a bunch of l and then,
- 7:00of course Epstein ends up quote unquote killing himself by
- 7:04using linen to hang from the side of the bed. Okay, sure,
- 7:08not a big deal. We don't need to know who
- 7:10this person was. What are you a conspiracy theorist? Time
- 7:14to move on, boys and girls. Because of a hard
- 7:16drive failure, a majority of the cameras were streaming but
- 7:19not recording that night, and the only available view of
- 7:22the special housing unit and specifically of the eltier where
- 7:26he was held, was from a camera on the other
- 7:28side of the common area that showed a partial view
- 7:31of the stairs leading to his tier, according to a
- 7:34twenty twenty three report from the Department of Justice Inspector General.
- 7:39And we all know that that Inspector General report is
- 7:41a bunch of nonsense. Imagine writing up a report after
- 7:45having a bunch of non responsive guards give you interviews.
- 7:49And again, that's why we're going through all those transcripts.
- 7:52That's why we went through so many of them because
- 7:55I want you all to understand that this has never
- 7:57been about getting to the bottom of anything. This has
- 8:00always been about trying to close the door. And that's
- 8:03been my biggest problem from the beginning. Noel acknowledged that
- 8:08she failed to properly conduct or acquired inmate rounds and
- 8:11counts on the night before Jeffrey Epstein's death, but denied
- 8:15any involvement in his death. Look, I don't think she
- 8:18was involved. Maybe as a useful idiot, but I doubt
- 8:22whoever was behind the scenes reached out to Toavin Oel
- 8:26and was like, hey, Tova, check this out. I think
- 8:28it goes way above that. Whoever set it all up.
- 8:33If somebody set it up, they had Michael Thomas, who
- 8:36wasn't you know, somebody that was used to being in
- 8:39the Shoe, And they had Touven Noel, who was relatively
- 8:42new to the Shoe as the two guards on duty
- 8:45that night. No senior officers. So who's in charge of
- 8:49the roster, who put together the schedule? And why did
- 8:52they do it the way they did? Now they'll tell
- 8:55you it's because there were staff shortages. Oh we needed
- 8:57this one, we needed that one. This one's not even
- 9:00a CEO. But they're going to pull overtime the whole thing.
- 9:04But the truth is, none of it looks good, and
- 9:07I don't think that the OIG report that they came
- 9:10up with even comes close to explaining what really went on. Noel,
- 9:14an Antigua born immigrant and former National Guard member who
- 9:17served in Kuwait during Operation and during Freedom, testified that
- 9:21she had recently returned to work after a workplace injury
- 9:24and was working mandatory overtime during her first overnight shift
- 9:28in the specializing unit. Yeah, who set it all up?
- 9:33Can't ask the warden anymore because well he's dead. But
- 9:36the whole entire situation about fren Reis leaving WAB and
- 9:40nobody putting another CELLI in the cell with Epstein is
- 9:44Hella's suspect. So maybe nobody actively went into that cell
- 9:48and killed Epstein. But like I told you before, I
- 9:51think Tartaglione sent him a message. So if the circumstances
- 9:57were set up for Epstein to do what he did,
- 10:00in my opinion, that makes the government culpable. They wanted
- 10:03him gone, They set up the perfect circumstances for that
- 10:07to occur, and this was the end result. That's certainly
- 10:11a possibility. What I don't believe for a second is
- 10:14that Epstein just decided that he's going to take his
- 10:16own life one day. That's very out of character for
- 10:19who Jeffrey Epstein was. Noel said she didn't know who
- 10:22Epstein was when he was moved into the shoe, and
- 10:25she was unaware of several special conditions associated with his confinement,
- 10:29including that he required a cell mate. I don't believe
- 10:33that for a minute. Sorry, she knew. Everybody knew, and
- 10:36they chose not to do anything about it. Whether that's
- 10:41incompetence or whether that's something that came from the top,
- 10:44we don't know. But to think for a minute that
- 10:48anybody didn't know that Jeffrey Epstein needed a sell mate,
- 10:51that's crazy. She also said she had not seen her
- 10:55posted notice requiring mandatory thirty minute rounds on Epstein. Everybody
- 10:59got thirty minute rounds, not just Epstein. This notice had
- 11:03been printed on an orange paper and attached to the
- 11:06computer monitor at her desk. She testified that she learned
- 11:09about Epstein's prior alleged suicide attempt from his cell mate
- 11:12Nicholas Tartaglioni the day after the incident occurred and had
- 11:16never seen a note reportedly connected to that incident. Well, yeah,
- 11:20Nicholas Tartaglioni. He was the one passing the narrative around.
- 11:24Everybody just believed it, no real investigation, to hell with
- 11:28what Epstein said. And you know why, I think that
- 11:32occurred because they wanted it to occur. They put Tartaglioni
- 11:36in that gel cell for this specific reason. Pass the
- 11:40message on to Epstein either you do it or we will.
- 11:44And I think that's the most logical explanation for the
- 11:46whole thing. Now, does that mean it's definitely true? No,
- 11:49of course not. I don't know. I wasn't there, But
- 11:51when you piece together the evidence, it seems like this
- 11:54is the likeliest of outcomes. This was in reference to
- 11:58the purported suicide note oft tip by The New York
- 12:01Times last month. To our Taglioni had been Epstein's roommate
- 12:04when the alleged attempt occurred, and has made claims to
- 12:07have saved his life that night. Oh yeah, who believes that.
- 12:12Maybe that lady that has a substack page that's in
- 12:15love with Tartaglioni. Nobody with a brain should believe that
- 12:19a four time murderer is going to help a child
- 12:22molester in jail. Okay, cool, I guess. And for my
- 12:27next trick, I'm going to put an Aryan Brotherhood member
- 12:30with a Mexican mafia member in a jail. Selling California,
- 12:34Noel was asked about the twelve cash deposits beginning in
- 12:38April of twenty eighteen that had been previously identified by investigators.
- 12:43She said the money came from her personal savings and
- 12:45had no connection to Abstein or anyone associated with him.
- 12:49She repeatedly denied receiving money from Abstein or any affiliated individual,
- 12:54but refused to disclose the source of the funds. Oh, well,
- 12:58of course not. And it's not like Congress can make
- 13:01her disclose that, because it's a dog and pony show.
- 13:06Like I deposited my money into my bank account and
- 13:09that's from my personal savings plan and no one has
- 13:11ever approached me about money or given me money in
- 13:14reference to mister Epstein at all. Ever, Noel testified that
- 13:18she first spoke to Epstein on August ninth, twenty nineteen,
- 13:21and that she and a fellow corrections officer delivered his
- 13:24dinner that evening, but she did not enter his cell.
- 13:27She stated that despite failing to complete required rounds, she
- 13:31believed Epstein's death would have occurred even if the checks
- 13:34had been properly conducted. I mean maybe, but we don't know.
- 13:40That's quite the lead. I mean, there's a reason that
- 13:43that protocol is in place. She also denied intentionally searching
- 13:47for information about Epstein on a prison computer, explaining that
- 13:51she clicked on a news article link that appeared on
- 13:54a homepage regarding the discovery of Epstein. Noel testified that
- 13:58she never entered the cell, did not see the body initially,
- 14:01and only observed Epstein's feet while another corrections officer, Michael Thomas,
- 14:06performed CPR. She said that she first saw the body
- 14:09when it was removed on a stretcher. She recalled the
- 14:13inmates chanting, y'all in so much trouble after Epstein was found,
- 14:17and she said that she waited for others to respond
- 14:20when asked about an email released by the Justice Department
- 14:23records alleging that she and Thomas were paid sixty five
- 14:26hundred to neglect their duties to so that a man
- 14:29named Michael Rose could enter Epstein's sell and kill him.
- 14:32Noell denied any knowledge of Rose and rejected the allegations. Well, look,
- 14:38I don't know anything about that. We've heard about that
- 14:40guy before, but who the fuck knows. What I do know, though,
- 14:44is that the story of their pitchion unbelievable. Throughout the testimony,
- 14:48she maintained that while procedural failure has occurred, she had
- 14:52no role in any conspiracy related to Epstein's death. There
- 14:56have been numerous conspiracy theories that Epstein was killed because
- 14:59of his connection to wealthy and powerful people. Oh, because
- 15:03that's so hard to believe, big time conspiracy there. You
- 15:07might as well be talking about chowpacabra and Bigfoot. Meanwhile,
- 15:11people who believe that there's aliens all over the place
- 15:14are the same people telling you that Jeffrey Epstein's a hoax.
- 15:18In a statement, Noel's attorney told CBS News Thursday that
- 15:22Noel voluntarily appeared for an interview by the House Overside
- 15:26Committee because she wanted to assist in providing clarity to
- 15:29the victims of Jeffrey Epstein ensure that the Oversight Committee
- 15:32has all the facts known to her, not based on
- 15:35speculation or conspiracy theories about the circumstances surrounding the death
- 15:40of mister Epstein and bring closure to her involvement in
- 15:44this tragic situation. CBS News has reached out to the
- 15:48FBI and the Justice Department Inspector General for comment, but
- 15:52has not received a response. Well, look, we haven't read
- 15:56the testimony yet itself, the transcripts, so I'm not gonna
- 16:00say one way or the other what I believe in
- 16:01what I don't believe as far as the exact words
- 16:04that touven Noel said, but the overall story very unbelievable.
- 16:10But what we'll do, like usual is dive into the
- 16:13transcripts and then you can all decide for yourselves. So
- 16:17with that said, that's going to do it for this one.
- 16:20All the information that goes with this episode can be
