- 0:07Okay greetings one and all and welcome back to another podcast with
- 0:08Amoda Maa and myself, Kavi. Hello, Amoda. Hello, Kavi.
- 0:09So for the first podcast of 2024, we're going to talk a bit about something that's been arising
- 0:10via a few questions from people recently. As some of you may know, we offer every year and have
- 0:11have done for the past four years, our seminal program, a three month exploration into what
- 0:12it means to, I don't even know how to explain it a moment, I don't want to give it too much
- 0:13of a title. It needless to say it's had a couple of titles and one of them is a revolution
- 0:14of love. And this year's I think we're calling it walking in the world as a warrior of love.
- 0:15So you can get the idea of what we're talking about.
- 0:16And we're going to explore it a bit.
- 0:17And the reason for that is that we've had quite a few people
- 0:18saying, what does it mean?
- 0:19What is the revolution of love?
- 0:20Revolution is a hot word.
- 0:21What is the revolution of love?
- 0:22What does it mean to walk in the world as a warrior of love?
- 0:23What are these qualities?
- 0:24So I thought it would be a good idea
- 0:25to dive in and explore these themes a little bit, particularly because, you know, I don't
- 0:26know, there's a sense around that the turbulence of the world is increasing. And I think we
- 0:27can probably say that 2024 this year is going to be a quite an important year. So, you know,
- 0:28this whole conversation is very relevant. So I think that's enough to open up this conversation.
- 0:29Let me start. Amoda. What is a revolution of love? What does it mean to walk in the world as a
- 0:30warrior of love and why is it important now?
- 0:31A revolution of love, it's good to explore these terms and how they're being used in the context
- 0:32of what we speak about and what we offer in service to individuals on the path of awakening.
- 0:33Revolution has nothing to do with fighting the establishment in a conventional sense.
- 0:34the word I've used it for many, many, many, many years because through my own awakening,
- 0:35I experienced the shift in consciousness, the absolute transformation of consciousness as revolutionary
- 0:36in the sense of it being a complete turnaround, a completely new paradigm. So it's not about
- 0:37being against anything, although there is a certain truth to that as well in that it is
- 0:38different to the establishment in the sense that it's different, a different paradigm of
- 0:39consciousness to the established paradigm of consciousness, which is the ego consciousness.
- 0:40That's really what it's referring to. The inner revolution, the inner revolution of consciousness
- 0:41is a complete turnaround in the way that we see things and the way we relate to things in the way
- 0:42that we operate in the world so that it's really freedom from the egoic prison,
- 0:43freedom from the egoic identity. And in that sense, it's revolutionary, it's radical,
- 0:44because it does change everything. So from, if you like, relating to the world, operating in the world
- 0:45as a separate me, and a separate me is either defending or attacking in order to preserve
- 0:46the identity or the comfort, the imaginary comfort or imaginary safety of the me and therefore
- 0:47the ego identity thrives on opposition, it thrives on comparison, it thrives on one-upmanship,
- 0:48it also thrives on victimhood, victim identity. This is the established state of consciousness,
- 0:49the majority mass state of consciousness, we could call it unconsciousness. So here we're talking
- 0:50about a revolution, an internal revolution, which is really what awakening out of me identity,
- 0:51out of ego identity really is. Why is it a revolution of love?
- 0:52Because that fundamental shift internally,
- 0:53in the way that we see things, in the way that we are,
- 0:54where we are rooted within ourselves,
- 0:55is a shift from
- 0:56separation to oneness, is a shift from fear to love.
- 0:57It's a frequency of love.
- 0:58It's a new kind of frequency field that is essentially love.
- 0:59Love we can explore what that means, but essentially it means the open field of presence, the
- 1:00open field of intimacy with what is.
- 1:01the open field of non-violence, the open field of inner silence, all this gives birth to
- 1:02love, gives birth to the frequency of love within ourselves. So I guess that's what
- 1:03it's referring to in a nutshell.
- 1:04What about the kind of turbulence?
- 1:05Is it important?
- 1:06I think we should open it up a little bit.
- 1:07As you said, I've kind of dive into a little bit more
- 1:08of what is meant really by love.
- 1:09But why is the turbulence of the world?
- 1:10I talked about it at the intro a little bit.
- 1:11Is it now important? Is it an emergency?
- 1:12Well, now is important because turbulence is a catalyst for that inner revolution.
- 1:13Turbulence, whether it's turbulence in our own personal lives or on a more,
- 1:14you know, worldly level, is exactly the place where we can either go further into unconsciousness
- 1:15and give our allegiance unconsciously more and more to fear, to victimhood, to opposition, to
- 1:16side taking, position taking, to a kind of separation consciousness, me against you,
- 1:17me against them, them against me, and so on. And that simply perpetuates that
- 1:18unconsciousness, that paradigm. Or in the midst of that turbulence, something shifts,
- 1:19we turn our allegiance to something different to something. Perhaps that we've had a taste of,
- 1:20but have never really fully given ourselves to. What we're really talking about here is the
- 1:21commitment to truth, not ideological truth, not even philosophical truth, but the truth of our
- 1:22being nature, the truth of what is here beneath and beyond all rising and fallings of thought,
- 1:23all rising and falling of emotion, all rising and falling of narratives, all rising and falling
- 1:24of empires. It's really being rooted in our being nature, which is not passive necessarily, it is not
- 1:25sticking its head in the sand in any way. It is a great strength, it's spiritual resilience
- 1:26and spiritual maturity. So we are talking about awakening out of the egoic paradigm.
- 1:27But we are, if you like, including or embracing the world that we live in, our personal world,
- 1:28our relationships are different aspects of our lives and the world, the experience of the world,
- 1:29which is mostly fear-based these days and very turbulent. We embracing that as an opportunity,
- 1:30as a very profound and potent opportunity to turn our attention, to turn our allegiance,
- 1:31even in the midst of that to the beingness, the open awareness, which is the same as the
- 1:32open presence that is always here, beneath, beyond, behind everything that appears as
- 1:33part of the phenomenal world.
- 1:34So it's not an awakening that takes us out into the mountaintop, the pristine clarity
- 1:35of mountaintop, it's finding that pristine clarity within us in the midst of whatever turbulence is
- 1:36going on. This is awakening. What else could it be? But it's, you know, we speak of the warrior of
- 1:37love because it's exactly during these times of challenge. Again, in our personal lives,
- 1:38a tragedy that happens a loss, something very unexpected.
- 1:39And during these collective times of tragedy loss,
- 1:40unexpected occurrences,
- 1:41that we can,
- 1:42we are called to develop our spiritual resilience.
- 1:43We are called to develop our spiritual maturity.
- 1:44And this is work in our work that we can do.
- 1:45and recognize within ourselves that which is ever-present within all that changes.
- 1:46And in this way we start to become, let's call it frequency holders, frequency holders
- 1:47of love, not fear.
- 1:48I had to put it simplistically, although it is profound in its simplicity.
- 1:49The, excuse me, the, there's a definite observed, at least from this place, intensification.
- 1:50This isn't so much a question. This is more just an observation really that there is an intensification
- 1:51taking place happening in the world of the politic, in the world of the environment,
- 1:52in the world of the collective. And that seems to be being reflected very much in a lot of the
- 1:53intensification of individuals, where individuals who have a little bit of a door open to the
- 1:54spiritual world, but maybe have only gone so far with it to a certain point and now being
- 1:55cool to open up the door even more. I think I do see that that's happening and that's where the
- 1:56deepest invitation is for people because it is quite a, you know, you talk with you, maybe in me,
- 1:57in a sense, can talk about the revolution, a revolution, a turning, let's call it,
- 1:58in some ways though it's a sort of easy thing. But it's not so easy.
- 1:59this is a sort of little dance we have here. Yes, a little dance that we have here.
- 2:00If I may say you, Kaby, like to emphasize the challenges of it and therefore the digging deep
- 2:01within oneself. Because that's because it's experienced. Yeah, and I like to emphasize and
- 2:02And it's a little bit of both.
- 2:03It's a very fine line.
- 2:04I like to emphasize the possibility of it being much closer
- 2:05than anyone can imagine than you can imagine.
- 2:06And that if we emphasize the difficulty of it,
- 2:07then why bother at all?
- 2:08And I'm not saying it's easy just like that,
- 2:09some magical thinking or some fantasy world.
- 2:10I'm simply saying the invitation, and I know through my experience, that even though it's
- 2:11a long road in terms of a lifetime of working through this, and that we're not offering
- 2:12that.
- 2:13Whatever self-development is going on, whatever anyone's journey, wherever anyone's at, the
- 2:14possibility is in this moment to stop, to stop and be still, to be still inside, to recognise
- 2:15that which is true. And to me that is the closest most intimate reality there is. And
- 2:16it may well be that I'm speaking, if you like, from this side of the fence, but I can tell
- 2:17you there actually is no fence. It's all in the belief system and the identity, yeah?
- 2:18And that's what we're here for. That's what I'm here for. It's to invite individuals
- 2:19to the possibility that it's right here available. And yes, we have to revisit and yes, we have
- 2:20to point. And yes, we have to invite and yes, we have to explore and inquire into what
- 2:21stands in the way of this very fine veil between fear, ego, separation, limitation and falling
- 2:22into openness because that's what it is. So here we dance.
- 2:23I've got the answer to this conundrum, which seems to come up between the free salt regularly,
- 2:24actually. And it's funny, because when you talk about it as being a hair's breath away,
- 2:25more intimate than the breath itself, this is exactly what I talk about in my poetry.
- 2:26So I don't, in my poetry, waxed lyrical about, "Oh, the challenge, oh, the difficulty, oh, why bother?"
- 2:27it's very much the opposite thing. And the other thing that I'd like to say is that,
- 2:28you know, since I did all of my work, which was hard work, there was no destination in mind,
- 2:29back many, many years ago, without any knowledge of any of this stuff at all,
- 2:30things have changed very much, and there is very much more of a field these days,
- 2:31a collective field, not a forced field, a forced field or anything like that, but actually just
- 2:32the fact that things are breaking in some kind of way, that things are breaking open in a certain
- 2:33way and there are so many more people seeking liberation from egoic suffering, that that actually
- 2:34does. I truly believe, bring it closer in the way that you're describing. I also just don't like
- 2:35the idea of which is suggested in some ways on social media that there's a panacea and it's like
- 2:36a magical thinking kind of stuff. So I like people to be aware of the facts of the matter.
- 2:37Absolutely not. There's no formula or promise of immediate, what do we call it, salvation,
- 2:38enlightenment, it is an exploration and each individual takes responsibility for that,
- 2:39but it can be supported and it can be invited more and more because it's not invited in the world,
- 2:40in the conventional world. The paradigm there. It must be invited somewhere, yes.
- 2:41Yes, it supports the matrix field of opinion, position taking, division, identity,
- 2:42and so on and so on. And so that goes on and on in the world, the ultimate expression being
- 2:43war, war and violence, whether we experience a certain kind of war and violence in our
- 2:44closer environment, in our relationships or within ourselves, that's where the war
- 2:45ultimately is. It's the same war. So somewhere in this world, which is what we're serving,
- 2:46is a new conversation or a more true conversation
- 2:47to ignite the commitment to discovering what is true.
- 2:48Again, not ideal, ideologically discovering what is true,
- 2:49what is always present, what is true
- 2:50other than anything that you think or feel
- 2:51or see or believe what is more true.
- 2:52discovering what is the open frequency field of love
- 2:53and not fear, not war, not division within oneself.
- 2:54So it starts within.
- 2:55And these are qualities of the warrior.
- 2:56The warrior lives with internal integrity,
- 2:57with internal dignity, with internal,
- 2:58if you like grace even.
- 2:59And these are qualities that we can explore
- 3:00and develop and support.
- 3:01And when we come together as a group,
- 3:02as a community, as a whatever it is,
- 3:03it's an amplified field.
- 3:04So that's what we're really referring to.
- 3:05And it is important during our times.
- 3:06And not just during at times,
- 3:07it's always been important.
- 3:08- These two have always been times.
- 3:09- If we're suffering.
- 3:10- Yeah, it's always these times.
- 3:11if we're suffering, if there's psychological suffering of some kind and we yearn for liberation,
- 3:12we've got to the point in our individual evolution where seeking the resolution in the world of
- 3:13form, things, achievements, recognitions, identities, external love that we might get from somebody,
- 3:14and so on have no longer fulfilling, are no longer satisfying and seem to be cyclical.
- 3:15You know, we get fulfilled and then we get disappointed if you like and then another cycle
- 3:16begins. Once we've come to that place in our own personal evolution, then we start looking within.
- 3:17And so the internal revolution, the internal transformation can really begin. And I think
- 3:18more and more people, what's different now to perhaps maybe thousands of years ago is that there
- 3:19are more people coming to that point. Perhaps because the world is more turbulent, the world
- 3:20is more chaotic, the world is more sort of pulling us into a kind of materialism. And so it's like
- 3:21escalating and it's no longer giving us the fulfilment, the peace, that we know is more
- 3:22true than anything that we can temporarily grasp onto in the world of form. And so that's
- 3:23changed and I think more people are ready and are available. And if I may add something
- 3:24to the pot and of course you know this story, it's not a story, it was an experience but
- 3:25the telling of the story of many, many, many years ago, I think it was about 30 years ago,
- 3:26now actually or 25 or something. I experienced a very powerful, powerful vision. This was long
- 3:27before awakening on my own journey. I had started some exploration but it was very early stages.
- 3:28had a very powerful vision of the future. And it really was felt and known to be some future
- 3:29reality or at least a possibility of, and again, this may be metaphorical, it may be literal,
- 3:30that I don't know, but it was a very palpable visceral experience of the world, actually it was
- 3:31burning. The whole world was burning. In other words, it was coming undone. Something was coming
- 3:32undone. And I was, I, yeah, in my visionary state, in the vision, was an observer of this.
- 3:33And as I sat observing the whole world burning, I felt within myself a kind of choice. The choice
- 3:34was to go running and screaming into the drama to try and do something, to save myself, to
- 3:35save the world or whatever.
- 3:36Without the fire.
- 3:37Yeah.
- 3:38Or to remain as stillness.
- 3:39But the stillness, to remain as stillness wasn't running away from it.
- 3:40I was right there.
- 3:41The world was burning in me.
- 3:42And the stillness was, yeah, it's like such a delicate navigation point.
- 3:43One can easily get pulled by a thought, by a fear, by a compulsion to do something, to
- 3:44either run away, to block it out, to bury one's heads in the sand, to avoid it, to save it,
- 3:45whatever, to control it, to fix it.
- 3:46And I just remained and I remained and it was such a strong sense of the inner consciousness
- 3:47that is being called for.
- 3:48And as I remained, and the remaining as stillness is a very soft, which we call it, position,
- 3:49but very soft.
- 3:50It's not tightly holding to stillness.
- 3:51It's very soft.
- 3:52Yeah, it's right here.
- 3:53And in that remaining as that stillness, as the world burnt, it transformed and the whole
- 3:54vista became one of light, just light.
- 3:55Now what that actually means on a literal level, I'm not prophesying anything and I'm
- 3:56not psychic in that way and I don't even know whether that is accurate, you know, the psychic
- 3:57guy it might be. But I really got a sense of what was coming in terms of a shift in consciousness,
- 3:58both for myself but also collectively. And I think that's what we're experiencing now.
- 3:59Oh, my dear.
- 4:00Which is why I speak a lot.
- 4:01I mean, awakening took place years after that.
- 4:02And of course, then it all made sense.
- 4:03It all fell into place.
- 4:04But I speak a lot about the light of being because that's what it is.
- 4:05And that ultimately is what matters.
- 4:06You have talked about this a lot.
- 4:07You've shared this with me on a number of occasions and it's always had the same profound
- 4:08effect on me because I know you to be not just a teacher of awakened consciousness but
- 4:09also there is a mystic quality to you and a kind of divine quality to you and in that
- 4:10a kind of a racula, you know, looking into looking into the pool of, and it's not by
- 4:11design and it wasn't ever by, you know, anything that you did, but I think you have a third
- 4:12eye, the gift of an eye, of an eye, you know, that happens and it's just a kind of part
- 4:13of you. And so when you spoke that to me and you've included it a few times in part of
- 4:14your teaching but haven't made a meal of it because, you know, seeing this, it's not about
- 4:15that. But that it brought me to this delicate possibility and it contributed, has contributed
- 4:16over the years very much to absorbing and imbibing the fragrance of what you talk about
- 4:17in the teaching, which is that delicate possibility of being right here in this. And when you
- 4:18say there's no tightness, there is no tightness, there is no force. And the veil part, somehow,
- 4:19that's when you're speaking, the veil of illusion itself, hearts, and it might seem like it's burning,
- 4:20but that's because the light is so bright. And this is not spiritual isms, and it's not magical
- 4:21thinking. It's like some strange possibility, some strange, yeah, if it's if it came to you in a
- 4:22vision, then it's real in that sense. But what's so real is this invitation. Let me just finish
- 4:23this invitation that keeps coming up through this teaching, this work with you. And now, to
- 4:24certain extent, through me, is this possibility of this, justice, justice. And I love that because
- 4:25it's stripped away everything to just thisness. And if we can get just in that soft, as intimate
- 4:26but as the breath itself, as intimate as the whisper,
- 4:27something is in that.
- 4:28There's something for us all in that.
- 4:29It's not yours, it's not mine, it's itself.
- 4:30There's something about that.
- 4:31- That's right.
- 4:32I mean, it is mystical on that sense.
- 4:33That's a kind of divine communion with the beyond,
- 4:34the beyond which is so intimate, it's right here. What came to me as you were speaking was that
- 4:35many years after that vision, I mean really many years after that vision,
- 4:36Eckhart Tolle wrote his book A New Earth. Well he wrote a power of now first but when
- 4:37new earth came even after that and I don't remember which year that was. Well he's talking about the
- 4:38same thing. He's talking about an inner transformation of consciousness from out, you know, out of the
- 4:39egoic paradigm and the possibility of the birth of a new earth. I mean he doesn't go into details
- 4:40as to what the new earth is but this is what we're speaking of and that's exactly what my vision
- 4:41why. So it's interesting on that level in terms of a time frame that this really was in some ways
- 4:42prophetic in the sense that the momentum of that possibility of this shift in consciousness
- 4:43started to emerge in the world because at the time that I experienced the vision,
- 4:44As far as I know there wasn't so much of a conversation about it.
- 4:45Not in the more mainstream. No, certainly not this close.
- 4:46So, you know, talking about shifts in consciousness and the new earth has really become part of the
- 4:47I wouldn't say everyday language in the majority of people, but certainly in the field of those who
- 4:48are seeking or even self-development or working on themselves in some way. So it's become very
- 4:49normal language. And I think that in that sense that shift is happening in that way.
- 4:50And the world is burning. I think yes, I mean, I've actually seen people, even some people who are
- 4:51a little bit more feet on the ground, but actually talking about this whole fifth-dimension thing
- 4:52about all of these shifts which we're not, we don't touch any of that stuff. But I've listened
- 4:53and I've listened to some of those people and even though they don't speak to it awakening in
- 4:54the same kind of way, there is a sense of the same thing which is the illusion of the world,
- 4:55the egoic matrix that's built on this collective egoism that has been running for a very long time
- 4:56is beginning to reach its threshold, where it's either going to devour itself or some
- 4:57other butterfly-like thing is going to kind of break through.
- 4:58Obviously, the mind then grabs a hold of that and turns it into anything.
- 4:59But throwing it out completely is also maybe not so fair, but then you come back to just
- 5:00this.
- 5:01That's what I like about it.
- 5:02It doesn't give the mind the opportunity to run off into the distance so much.
- 5:03That's right. It's not about envisioning a new world. It's not about what can we do.
- 5:04And there are many things we can do if that's what calls us and moves us.
- 5:05But that's not what we offer. And certainly this program is not about that, even though we say
- 5:06walking in the world. We really mean that which you're pointing to. This is an openness, presence
- 5:07and openness in all aspects of life. And then what happens in life, how it unfolds, how it
- 5:08manifests is really up to the individual that's not for us to say. But when the inner transformation
- 5:09takes place, then that manifestation, if you like, that unfoldment is more likely to take
- 5:10place within that individual's life, and each individual is a drop in the ocean. So, yeah,
- 5:11perhaps something changes collectively in that as well.
- 5:12Yeah, I remember a vision that somebody, not a vision, but actually a truth, a truthful thing
- 5:13that somebody shared about Oxford Street at Christmas in London, which was heaving with
- 5:14hundreds and hundreds of people. But every year, and I heard this, and I'm never sure
- 5:15whether it was true. I never saw it myself. But there was this one Zen monk who used to
- 5:16go to Oxford Street and walk down Oxford Street like this. Was he in Oxford Street? We have
- 5:17no idea. He was walking, but the way he walked drew some people towards him, repelled others,
- 5:18but it was as though he was just the invisible one walking through the matrix and that vision
- 5:19is endured with me of this peacefulness, almost, equanimity, grace.
- 5:20Yes, walking in the world as peace. Yes, absolutely. And surely that is of value in our
- 5:21lives and in the world to walk in the world as peace.
- 5:22So let me, I don't, I don't, I'm not going to finish quite yet because I want to read
- 5:23a couple of your, your quotes and see where they land. And you, a warrior stands in the
- 5:24light of being always. The light of being is the open awareness that is a constant throughout
- 5:25all risings and fallings of thought, all risings and fallings of emotions, emotion,
- 5:26and all risings and fallings of empires. In this open awareness, love reveals itself as the true
- 5:27foundation of who we are and from this love, right action arises. That's right, that's, I hope,
- 5:28exactly what we've been referring to. The question is not what should I do? Right.
- 5:29How can I be? How can I be from that beingness? Right action will inevitably take place.
- 5:30Not right according to some ideology, not right according to some belief system,
- 5:31not right according to self-righteousness, but right because it is according to natural
- 5:32intelligence. It's not driven by the ego self, the ego self which thrives on superiority or inferiority.
- 5:33the ego self that survives, thrives on opposition, on comparison, on one
- 5:34upmanship, on victim identity, higher than or lower than, different from, right, you're wrong.
- 5:35Or even I'm wrong, you're right, either way it's a polarity, and so the ego self perpetuates itself,
- 5:36the identity. This that we're speaking of does not operate from that. And then right
- 5:37action takes place, action that is in alignment with the intelligence of the whole, the intelligence
- 5:38of life itself, not in conflict with the intelligence of life.
- 5:39creates more conflict. The ego creates more division, which is exactly where we are in the world right
- 5:40now. It's a mass manifestation of ego, of mass, you know, individuals, collective ego. Yeah, so
- 5:41here we are. The world is always a reflection of who we are, not in the deepest sense, but who we
- 5:42think we are. It's amazing how the world, the ego world has been built from in the singular
- 5:43"I'm me" and then another one and then another one and another one and other people tend to think
- 5:44that they're doing right and good and some are obviously, but coming from that divided place,
- 5:45particularly of righteousness, only builds upon the ego structure and the citadel, you know, is
- 5:46is wavering, it can't hold any more opinions, it can't hold any more egoic thing. And that's why
- 5:47this is, that statement and what you're just talking about is actually extraordinarily
- 5:48profound and does take me to Arjuna in the Great Battle, in the Bhagavad Gita, when he's
- 5:49faced with a conundrum of going into battle and he's tormented by that, that he's going to have
- 5:50to potentially go and kill cousins and relations. And he calls on Krishna who guides him through
- 5:51the infinite universe, how all things are one thing, all things are one thing, and takes
- 5:52him into the heart, depth of being. And from that place, he's still able to take his place
- 5:53in the world and still has to do what it is that he's called to do. And this is a deep
- 5:54thing that in a way we've forgotten. We don't know it. We've lost it because we're
- 5:55innately so not innately, but we're so divided within. Can't feel that depth of what is right
- 5:56in its truthful way. That's why I think this is very beautiful because I think I've seen and
- 5:57I've noticed with people who've been on that program over the years that we've done it that
- 5:58actually something can, oh, I see, I feel it. I can feel that
- 5:59rightness within. And that's the juice. It's not what the
- 6:00teaching is or what it appeals to the mind, but to actually get a
- 6:01taste of that, that within. I'm going to keep going. I've got
- 6:02another one unless you want to add something that was
- 6:03please go ahead. Can we train to be this warrior? Yes, she said. The training is a gradual turning
- 6:04of allegiance towards the presence that is deeper than any narrative or thought. A gradual erosion
- 6:05of the ego self that allows us to fall open into the light of being, a gradual emergence
- 6:06of our true inner sovereignty. Precisely. Precisely.
- 6:07Is there anything you'd like to say? So we can. There is a certain
- 6:08quality of trainingness to what we can do. And we have to be careful with that word.
- 6:09that we have to be careful with that word. It's used as a
- 6:10pointer to something. It's not a training in the sense of
- 6:11amassing any spiritual knowledge or beliefs and so on. But it's a training in the sense that,
- 6:12Well, it is because it's an inner muscle.
- 6:13Yeah, it's an inner muscle.
- 6:14And I know we speak and many teachers speak present day and not present day teachers of
- 6:15the grace.
- 6:16Yeah, there's nothing we can do to awaken.
- 6:17I'm a nice speaker. There's nothing we can do to awaken. It's not cause and effect. It's not if I
- 6:18do this or practice this, then I'm going to awaken. And we speak of the quality of grace. There's a
- 6:19ripeness that takes place. So on that level, no, we can't train in order to awaken. What we're
- 6:20doing is preparing the ground because it's also magical thinking to believe that you do nothing
- 6:21and you go about your life completely unconsciously without any insight and without any kind of inner
- 6:22sort of deep inquiry. And one day just because you want it or dream of it or read about it,
- 6:23awakening is going to fall on your head and bestow you, yeah, enlightenment. That's grace. No,
- 6:24it's not going to happen like that. There's a preparation that needs to take place and that's
- 6:25what the training is. The preparation is the inquiry, the inquiry within to what am I committed
- 6:26to? What am I turning my allegiance to in this moment, in this moment, in this relationship, in
- 6:27this aspect of my life? Yeah, what am I giving my devotion to in each moment? And so the training
- 6:28is a constant or a possibility of a container that allows that inquiry to take place,
- 6:29not just one off in one conversation, but over and over again for a period of time,
- 6:30so that we truly come, the individuals participating in this so-called training,
- 6:31are coming to their own turning point within where they are really devoted to that,
- 6:32which is what we might call the light of being the presence, the open awareness here and here and
- 6:33here come what may in the phenomenal world because that's the only doorway to true salvation, to true
- 6:34freedom, to true peace, to true transformation on all levels for ourselves and for the world.
- 6:35And so the training is the preparation. It's like cooking up the chickpea in the pot.
- 6:36we can't make the chickpea dissolve. Yeah, we don't say, all right, now you're ready to dissolve.
- 6:37We're going to, that's it. And the chickpea doesn't do it to itself.
- 6:38And the chickpea doesn't decide when the right time comes. But we prepare the pot, we cook the pot,
- 6:39we give the fire to it. And then that fire finally takes its own life force within the individual.
- 6:40And that's when it, yeah, something starts to take place. So that's what we're doing. In that sense,
- 6:41it is a training ground. It's a preparation ground. It's a container, an amplified safe container
- 6:42of cooking it up. Because without looking within, because the world, the world and
- 6:43the way we've been trained, everything's a training that's called conditioning,
- 6:44is to look out, to look out, to look out at what we do, what we have, what what we think we are,
- 6:45what we want to be, where we want to get to, what we want to amass, and so on and so on. So it's always
- 6:46in that direction. So now we have to undo that. We go in the other direction, we go within
- 6:47and ask deeper questions and look deeper. It's an existential inquiry which some individuals can
- 6:48well do on their own. I did. I've been existential all my life. I just need to be part of a group
- 6:49to do that. But most people are not. They need that help. They need that support. They need that
- 6:50container that says, "Okay, now, just for this period of time, we're going to look in the other
- 6:51direction." Yes, yes, yes. I know. I'm just a wax lyrical about that. It really has been over
- 6:52over the last three or four years that we've done this,
- 6:53that actually one of the byproducts
- 6:54that I didn't realize in the first year
- 6:55was the relationships that actually built up
- 6:56through people with each other.
- 6:57And the ability or the capacity to look out
- 6:58across the universe or the, I mean, the world through Zoom
- 6:59and see that other people are equally as being challenged
- 7:00but also are equal in their commitment to themselves
- 7:01and to this journey and to the deepening.
- 7:02And so it's sort of, and that grows.
- 7:03Our I think, you know, that grows over the very supportive.
- 7:04- It's very encouraging.
- 7:05- Yes.
- 7:06- Really.
- 7:07- What many people experience,
- 7:08and that's what we see,
- 7:09is that they feel very alone with this.
- 7:10- Yes.
- 7:11- Yeah.
- 7:12- And so, yes, this is bad.
- 7:13- And it is.
- 7:14- And it's difficult enough.
- 7:15without making too much of a point of it.
- 7:16It's difficult enough when you're on your own
- 7:17because there's no context necessarily.
- 7:18- For sure, yes.
- 7:19- You know, and so this provides that context.
- 7:20And it's beautiful because there's a community
- 7:21that starts to build up.
- 7:22And some of those, a couple of those,
- 7:23few of those people have done the training one year
- 7:24and then another year because there's such a thing.
- 7:25- Yes, because it's actually very different each year.
- 7:26Although we have a structure, you know,
- 7:27with specific themes. Those themes have been tweaked slightly. They've evolved over the
- 7:28past few years. And every conversation that is offered is actually fresh. They're not
- 7:29going to go back. And there's no notes. There's no. Yeah, it's taking the same theme and
- 7:30speaking to it and from it now of what's relevant now. And that's going to be slightly
- 7:31different depending on the community that we're speaking with the individuals. And really
- 7:32what emerges in the freshness of now. So it's always slightly different.
- 7:33Yeah. It's always, it is always very fresh, very alive, very, very true, very real. Okay,
- 7:34have you said, have we introduced that theme of we explained it quite well?
- 7:35I have no idea when we explained it well. I think we've explored something. I hope it's spoken to
- 7:36to somebody or to many.
- 7:37And I think that's probably enough for now.
- 7:38- Okay, so we've got it, of course.
- 7:39The three month training program is starting in March.
