- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means. He smart
- 0:06Speaker 2: simone on seven tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Hey it's Friday, that's a good news. It's October. It's
- 0:14Speaker 3: okay news. Yankees win. I'll begin tomorrow the playoffs, that's
- 0:18Speaker 3: great news. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll get to
- 0:21Speaker 3: the Yankees. We'll get to Andrew Cuomo, even Democrats making
- 0:25Speaker 3: fun of his latest ad. We'll get to Mom Donnie
- 0:28Speaker 3: and his words. They're calling him word salads. They're more
- 0:31Speaker 3: like word jumbles. And we'll get to Cracker Barrel. And
- 0:35Speaker 3: we'll get to President Trump. Some interesting developments, what he
- 0:39Speaker 3: may be up to next. Let's see. Let mean yeah, okay,
- 0:45Speaker 3: Sean Diddy Combs is about to be sentenced. No, nothing yet.
- 0:51Speaker 3: The sentence hearing is taking place now. He's going to
- 0:55Speaker 3: get sentenced at some point this morning. Prosecutors want eleven years.
- 1:01Speaker 3: He wants time served, which is fourteen months. If you
- 1:05Speaker 3: ask those criminal lawyers that do these cases all the time,
- 1:08Speaker 3: they're betting four years five years will be the sentence.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Diddy wrote a long letter to the judge, begging for mercy, apologizing,
- 1:17Speaker 3: saying he's sorry a thousand different ways. So we'll bring
- 1:20Speaker 3: you that news. Apparently nothing is happening yet. It'll be
- 1:24Speaker 3: a while before they get a sentence. Now, apparently it
- 1:30Speaker 3: was worse than a Taylor Swift line of the concert line.
- 1:33Speaker 3: There were people camping out for two days to get
- 1:36Speaker 3: into this courtroom for the Sean Didty sentencing. You know,
- 1:39Speaker 3: they got those professional placeholders. You can pay them to
- 1:42Speaker 3: wait in line for you to camp out on the sidewalk.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Although it's not like the old camping out on the
- 1:47Speaker 3: sidewalk with a sleeping bag. This is. They bring tents,
- 1:50Speaker 3: they got you know, chargers for the phones, they've got TV,
- 1:54Speaker 3: they got everything there, they got smartphones, they got everything
- 1:58Speaker 3: going on. So it'll happen at some point this morning.
- 2:02Speaker 3: So here's real quickly the shutdown. Here's the problem. They's
- 2:06Speaker 3: supposed to be a vote today at eleven am. It's
- 2:08Speaker 3: expected that the vote will not succeed to end the shutdown,
- 2:13Speaker 3: and it'll go through the weekend and there'll be a
- 2:15Speaker 3: vote on Monday. They're hoping Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday
- 2:18Speaker 3: they'll get it settled. Now here's the shutdown situation. If
- 2:25Speaker 3: you're watching the crazy left wing networks, if you're watching
- 2:28Speaker 3: MSNBC or CNN, you'll see Hakeem Jeffreys and Chuck Schumer
- 2:33Speaker 3: on television, and all they keep telling you is everybody
- 2:35Speaker 3: is going to die this shut every people are going
- 2:37Speaker 3: to die. People are going to drop dead. The planes
- 2:40Speaker 3: are going to fallow this sky. This is the biggest
- 2:41Speaker 3: crisis ever. And now they're going on vacation for a
- 2:46Speaker 3: couple of days. So everybody's going to die. But it's Friday,
- 2:50Speaker 3: we gotta leave. Sorry, they're going They're all going away
- 2:53Speaker 3: for the weekend. They're taking the weekend off. In a
- 2:56Speaker 3: minor crisis, you'd probably work on Saturday, wouldn't you major crisis,
- 3:00Speaker 3: you'd work Saturday and Sunday. But everybody's gonna die, and
- 3:04Speaker 3: they're going away for the weekend. And many of these
- 3:06Speaker 3: Democrats are going down to Sea Island for some sort
- 3:09Speaker 3: of democratic conference, and they're getting criticized because it's a
- 3:14Speaker 3: very plush, lush, expensive five star resort, an oligarch type
- 3:19Speaker 3: of place. That's where the Democrats are holding this conference.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So if you're lucky, they'll come back. If they have time,
- 3:25Speaker 3: they might come back on Monday and continue the shutdown. Problem.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Part of the problem is you got two people leading
- 3:32Speaker 3: the Democrats, Schumer and Jeffries. Hakeem Jeffries. These are the
- 3:37Speaker 3: two worst spokespeople you could have if you want. And
- 3:40Speaker 3: the most important thing in a situation like this is
- 3:42Speaker 3: your messaging. You couldn't have worse messaging. Schumer is an old,
- 3:47Speaker 3: dried up, old dinosaur fossil from one hundred years ago.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Everybody just, you know, cringes when they look at this guy.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Jeffries is a younger guy, but he's a total stiff,
- 3:58Speaker 3: and he talks in he's so pious and ridiculous.
- 4:02Speaker 4: We'd assume, on myself, having gotten a single phone call
- 4:07Speaker 4: as it relates to a follow up conversation, we are
- 4:11Speaker 4: ready to have that conversation, but we need credible partners
- 4:16Speaker 4: on the other side of the owl.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Well, see that's a little change in tone. Yesterday was
- 4:21Speaker 3: everybody's gonna die and they won't budge. And he should
- 4:26Speaker 3: get one of those phones that can make outgoing calls.
- 4:28Speaker 3: That way you don't have to just sit there and
- 4:29Speaker 3: wait for the calls. And he said, the problem is
- 4:32Speaker 3: nobody knows what the hell these guys are talking about.
- 4:34Speaker 3: We love Mike Johnson doing a great chop, but they
- 4:36Speaker 3: don't speak English.
- 4:37Speaker 5: They said passionately, as recently as March of this year,
- 4:40Speaker 5: on the same instrument, the same ZR, that it would
- 4:43Speaker 5: be rap.
- 4:43Speaker 3: But he knows what the hell you're talking about with
- 4:45Speaker 3: your instrument, your clean CR. Now there's a continuing resolution,
- 4:48Speaker 3: and there's a clean CR. Now when you're watching television
- 4:51Speaker 3: and you hear about this clean the CR and it's
- 4:53Speaker 3: a clean the resolution, nobody knows what you're saying. Speak English,
- 4:58Speaker 3: nobody knows what the hell you're talking talking about it.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So we'll see what happens at eleven am. Don't expect much.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It'll probably go through the weekend. But here's the problem.
- 5:05Speaker 3: You got Schumer and Jeffreys, the two worst messengers you
- 5:09Speaker 3: could have. They're just disasters on TV. They don't communicate
- 5:13Speaker 3: at all. Other problems they're both from Brooklyn, New York,
- 5:16Speaker 3: which means all they hear from a left wing, crazy
- 5:18Speaker 3: left wing. The other problem is they haven't gone home.
- 5:23Speaker 3: None of these congress people have been home. We're meeting
- 5:26Speaker 3: the constituents. All they're hearing from is union special interests
- 5:30Speaker 3: and all these special interests yelling him, o cave, don't
- 5:32Speaker 3: cave in, don't cave in You need to hear from
- 5:35Speaker 3: the constituents showing you that the line at the airport's
- 5:38Speaker 3: longer than ever because TSA had lay off some people,
- 5:42Speaker 3: or they're not picking up the crash or something. They're
- 5:44Speaker 3: not hearing from constituents anyway. Well, that's all there is
- 5:48Speaker 3: to know about the continuing resolution clean c are. Hey,
- 5:54Speaker 3: the Yankees big win last night. They start the playoffs
- 5:58Speaker 3: Toronto tomorrow four. That's great news. Andrew Cuomo getting a
- 6:06Speaker 3: lot of flak over this TV ad, and we told
- 6:09Speaker 3: you about this yesterday. He finally started running a TV commercial.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Nobody knows if he's really campaigning or there's an actual campaign.
- 6:15Speaker 3: He still has not opened a campaign headquarters. He doesn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: do much. He'll do in one or two interviews, but
- 6:21Speaker 3: basically it's always a fluff you know, look, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 3: totally rigged interview, like Eron Lewis on New York One.
- 6:27Speaker 3: He always make sure it's somebody will never give him
- 6:29Speaker 3: a hard time or bring up anything bad. But he
- 6:32Speaker 3: finally put out a campaign ad. It looks very expensive.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It's not because it turns out it's all AI. But
- 6:39Speaker 3: the ad, as we described yesterday, shows him doing trying
- 6:45Speaker 3: to do different jobs. He goes, but I'm not very
- 6:48Speaker 3: good at That shows him trying to be a trained
- 6:50Speaker 3: engineer and not he can't do it. Then it shows
- 6:52Speaker 3: him trying to be a window washer. He's up on
- 6:54Speaker 3: a scaffolding, up on a skyscraper. He can't do it.
- 6:57Speaker 3: And all these different jobs it looks it really looks good.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It's all done by AI. And then he says, but
- 7:04Speaker 3: the only thing I can't do any of these jobm
- 7:06Speaker 3: I'm not good at it. The only thing I can
- 7:08Speaker 3: do is run a government. So this was the ad.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I'm watching the left wing shows last night. They're all
- 7:14Speaker 3: attacking him, even Colbert A ridiculing him, saying why would
- 7:18Speaker 3: you run an ad saying you stink at everything, you
- 7:20Speaker 3: don't know how to do anything, You're not competent to
- 7:22Speaker 3: do anything. And also a lot of the left wing
- 7:25Speaker 3: people pointing out what he's really saying is what we
- 7:28Speaker 3: all kind of knew. And the problem with him. I
- 7:32Speaker 3: can't go back into the world. I can't go back
- 7:34Speaker 3: into the private sector. Nobody will hire me. I can't
- 7:36Speaker 3: do a damn thing. The reason I'm back running again,
- 7:39Speaker 3: even though I quit in disgrace, is I don't fit
- 7:43Speaker 3: in anywhere else in the world. I think this is
- 7:44Speaker 3: this the ad. I'm Andrew Cuomo, and I could pretend
- 7:48Speaker 3: to do.
- 7:48Speaker 6: A lot of jobs.
- 7:50Speaker 7: But I know what I know, and I know what
- 7:52Speaker 7: I don't know, and I do know how to make
- 7:55Speaker 7: government work.
- 7:56Speaker 8: I'll hire five thousand new cops.
- 7:59Speaker 7: The partner with low community groups and keep our family safe,
- 8:03Speaker 7: and we'll get the homeless off the streets and into
- 8:06Speaker 7: the help they desperately need. There are a lot of
- 8:10Speaker 7: jobs I can't do, but I'm ready to be your
- 8:13Speaker 7: mayor on day one.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Okay, but you know I'll hire five dozen new cops.
- 8:19Speaker 3: He's the guy that just when he was governor, he
- 8:21Speaker 3: got rid of cops. He defunded cops, he cut down
- 8:23Speaker 3: on the cops. He closed the prisons and let the
- 8:26Speaker 3: prisoners out. He passed he passed that no bail, no
- 8:29Speaker 3: jail at all, the criminals loose. He took away qualified
- 8:32Speaker 3: immunity from the cops, he took away overtime. Was he
- 8:35Speaker 3: was just horrible with cops. So that's the ad. You know,
- 8:39Speaker 3: they keep saying, if Mom Donnie wins, people are gonna
- 8:41Speaker 3: leave New York. People are gonna move out. This is
- 8:43Speaker 3: the big thing. If Donnie wins, you won't believe how
- 8:46Speaker 3: many people leave and move well. Cuomo holds the record
- 8:49Speaker 3: for causing more people to leave and move out of
- 8:51Speaker 3: New York while he was governor, especially the pandemic the
- 8:54Speaker 3: way he bungled it up. More people fled New York
- 8:57Speaker 3: under Cuomo than any other any other partician. In fact,
- 9:01Speaker 3: so many people moved out of New York millions that
- 9:06Speaker 3: we lost four congressional seats under his watch. Because so
- 9:09Speaker 3: many we lost so much population, we lost four congressional seats.
- 9:13Speaker 3: There was a period of a year and a half
- 9:15Speaker 3: where you could not get a moving van under Cuoma.
- 9:18Speaker 3: There were so many people leaving, there was a shortage
- 9:20Speaker 3: of moving vans, and there was like a year wait
- 9:23Speaker 3: to get one. Curtis has been running ads. Here's a
- 9:26Speaker 3: Curtis sleeway.
- 9:26Speaker 9: As you can hear a woman screaming, rapes in broad daylight,
- 9:30Speaker 9: attacks on the subway.
- 9:32Speaker 8: Why como, We're gonna add the cast ball system once
- 9:35Speaker 8: and for all.
- 9:36Speaker 9: Worse sov On I'm done. He wants to go even
- 9:39Speaker 9: further with them in charge. You are not safe.
- 9:43Speaker 3: We deserve better.
- 9:44Speaker 10: I'm Curtish Sliver, I'm asking for you vote for May.
- 9:48Speaker 11: Together, we'll build back a shape more affordable.
- 9:52Speaker 3: M right. It's not a bad ad and is a
- 9:56Speaker 3: part of the addy as the beret part of the
- 9:58Speaker 3: Addie doesn't have the bret. A lot of people there's
- 10:00Speaker 3: got to stop wearing the bray. Stop worrying about the hat.
- 10:03Speaker 3: That's not a factor. It's not an issue in a camp.
- 10:05Speaker 3: It means absolutely nothing to anybody. Nobody's voting based on
- 10:09Speaker 3: a hat. Also bear in mind, is Jimmy Fayle to
- 10:12Speaker 3: point it out. A guy just got elected president wearing
- 10:15Speaker 3: a red hat. You can do it now. This race
- 10:18Speaker 3: will come down to a couple of things. Biggest thing
- 10:20Speaker 3: will be the debate October sixteenth. That could turn the
- 10:22Speaker 3: race around. Cuomo could get wiped out there. He's a
- 10:25Speaker 3: bad debater. He looks awful in debates. Mam Donnie's good.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Curtis is great. They could wipe out Cuomo in the debate.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But the debate could be a turning point in the race.
- 10:34Speaker 3: But here's the main factor. This race will be about turnout.
- 10:39Speaker 3: If there's big turnout, Mam Donnie probably won't win. If
- 10:43Speaker 3: there is that turnout that we've had the last few years,
- 10:45Speaker 3: you know, twenty percent, twenty two percent turnout. That's how
- 10:49Speaker 3: de Blasio got in. There was just no turnout. The
- 10:52Speaker 3: only people that showed up were the crazy young radicals.
- 10:55Speaker 3: If it's twenty percent turnout, yeah it favors Mam Donnie.
- 11:00Speaker 3: But if we go back to the old days with
- 11:02Speaker 3: eighty percent turnout, that's how we You know, Republicans won
- 11:05Speaker 3: five of the last mayoral races, five of the last eight,
- 11:08Speaker 3: and that's how Giuliani won. All of a sudden, people
- 11:10Speaker 3: are fed up, and there was and the polls didn't
- 11:12Speaker 3: show it happening, but there was all of a sudden
- 11:14Speaker 3: big turnout. So a big turnout, and Mom Donnie loses.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Now he's being very cautious now when asking when he's
- 11:22Speaker 3: doing interviews, people are calling these word salads. What Kamala
- 11:26Speaker 3: does is a word salad. And she was so silly
- 11:29Speaker 3: and dumb and stupid and inarticulate that she just gives
- 11:33Speaker 3: a word solid and an answer. Mom Donnie is very
- 11:35Speaker 3: shrewd and smart, so it sounds like a word salut.
- 11:38Speaker 3: But he's doing it deliberately. He's very carefully talking a
- 11:43Speaker 3: lot without saying anything. So if you listen to his answers.
- 11:45Speaker 3: You don't know what the hell he's saying.
- 11:47Speaker 12: I think New Yorkers deserved leadership that is looking to
- 11:50Speaker 12: be thoughtful as opposed to leadership that is just trying
- 11:54Speaker 12: to engage in the discourse of our politics. And I
- 11:57Speaker 12: think that's it's part of what I'm trying to bring
- 12:01Speaker 12: to our politics is a reflection of what I see
- 12:04Speaker 12: in New Yorkers as opposed to.
- 12:05Speaker 3: What I see in the people who passed for our
- 12:06Speaker 3: leaders Yeah. See, it sounds good, but he's deliberately not
- 12:10Speaker 3: saying any Nobody knows what the ally just said that
- 12:12Speaker 3: we don't want. It's not about being thoughtful, it's about
- 12:16Speaker 3: engaging with reflection. It's a little thoughtful, not too thoughtful,
- 12:20Speaker 3: more engagement than thoughtful. Nobody knows what he means or
- 12:24Speaker 3: what he's saying. So well, we'll get back to the
- 12:27Speaker 3: Meryl racing a little while now. Hey, Cracker Barrel fired
- 12:33Speaker 3: the marketing company. You know, I was talking about this yesterday.
- 12:36Speaker 3: These marketing companies are really bad, some of these marketing companies.
- 12:39Speaker 3: There's some good ones, but there's some really bad ones.
- 12:42Speaker 3: And the biggest corporations hire these marketing companies and there
- 12:47Speaker 3: to do the rebrand and to you know, redesign, new love.
- 12:51Speaker 3: And some of them are disasters. And the one that
- 12:53Speaker 3: Cracker Barrel hired was a total disaster. It's a company
- 12:58Speaker 3: called Profit, total disaster. They came up with the new menu,
- 13:02Speaker 3: the new decorps for the restaurants, the new logo, the
- 13:05Speaker 3: new this, the new that. It was a complete disaster.
- 13:09Speaker 3: It was all so awful. Cracker Barrel lost one hundred
- 13:13Speaker 3: and forty million dollars in value. One hundred and forty
- 13:17Speaker 3: million in value. Now, I don't know what took them
- 13:21Speaker 3: so long, but they finally fired this company. The company's
- 13:24Speaker 3: going and this is also the company put in the
- 13:26Speaker 3: DEI hiring, the this the that, all of that stuff. Hey, oh,
- 13:31Speaker 3: Donald Trump apparently when he was up here for the
- 13:34Speaker 3: Ryder Cup met with some high ranking not CBS, but
- 13:38Speaker 3: the parent company. Negotiations are taking place for Donald Trump
- 13:43Speaker 3: to possibly do a sixty minutes interview. Now, sixty minutes
- 13:49Speaker 3: is the most awful, corrupt show, totally slanted biased, not
- 13:53Speaker 3: just the questions, the way they run the interview, but
- 13:57Speaker 3: they'll actually doctor up the video to slant things, to mislead.
- 14:01Speaker 3: They'll doctor up the interviews in the video that got
- 14:04Speaker 3: caught doing it with Kamala Harris. It was so obvious
- 14:07Speaker 3: they were trying to interfere with the election. They doctored
- 14:10Speaker 3: up her video so much that they ended up having
- 14:13Speaker 3: to pay a settlement of about thirty million to Donald Trump.
- 14:17Speaker 3: That's how bad it was. So negotiations are taking place
- 14:20Speaker 3: for Trump to do an interview with sixty minutes. I
- 14:23Speaker 3: don't know why he's even bothering. Nobody watches it anymore.
- 14:25Speaker 3: It's not that big an audience. It doesn't mean much,
- 14:28Speaker 3: but Trump negotiating for certain things. The video or the
- 14:32Speaker 3: interview will have to run absolutely unedited, no edits at
- 14:35Speaker 3: all allowed. He's agreed to Bill Whittaker to do it,
- 14:40Speaker 3: and knowing him, he's very smart, he'll figure out what
- 14:44Speaker 3: night he wants it on. Sixty minutes doesn't have a
- 14:47Speaker 3: lot of viewers anymore. Used to be the number one
- 14:48Speaker 3: show on television, used to get sixty million people, gets
- 14:51Speaker 3: nothing now. But the only time is it gets any
- 14:54Speaker 3: ratings if it's on after a big, huge game. So
- 14:57Speaker 3: if it's a really important football game or The Master
- 15:00Speaker 3: or something like that, when it ends, it goes right
- 15:01Speaker 3: to sixteen minutes. So Trump will pick one of those nights. So, hey,
- 15:06Speaker 3: we got a lot coming up, and we'll take some calls. Next.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Now back to Mark zimone on woor.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 15:22Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 15:26Speaker 3: Kathy North, Carolina. Kathy, how you doing?
- 15:29Speaker 13: Hey, Mark, it's good to talk to you. It's good
- 15:31Speaker 13: to hear you.
- 15:32Speaker 14: I have a random question. I know you're not a
- 15:35Speaker 14: financial guru, but of course your friend Larry Kudlow is,
- 15:38Speaker 14: so maybe he can answer this someday. All that money
- 15:41Speaker 14: that Doge saved billions and billions, where does that show up?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Like?
- 15:45Speaker 14: Where is it being pocketed? Is it in the It
- 15:48Speaker 14: doesn't seem to be in the budget. The budget would
- 15:50Speaker 14: have been missing several billion dollars because we didn't have
- 15:53Speaker 14: to pay out to that. So I just I remember
- 15:56Speaker 14: talking about it and hearing about it. But where does
- 15:58Speaker 14: it physically show up?
- 16:00Speaker 3: Well doesn't it doesn't show up. It's just the actual
- 16:02Speaker 3: budget drops, spending drops a little. Now, the problem is
- 16:05Speaker 3: you got Congress and Republicans are just as bad as Democrats.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Whenever there's money, they start spending it again. That's the problem.
- 16:12Speaker 3: You can keep cutting the spending, but Democrats and Republicans
- 16:15Speaker 3: in Congress keep bringing it back.
- 16:18Speaker 14: But you're telling me that if we didn't if we
- 16:21Speaker 14: didn't do dose, then this outrageous budget would be that
- 16:25Speaker 14: many more billion more.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes, So.
- 16:29Speaker 14: You are a financial guru.
- 16:31Speaker 3: No, it's a simple common sense. If you get rid
- 16:33Speaker 3: of seven hundred thousand people, your pay roll is less money. Obviously,
- 16:37Speaker 3: I know, but I know it's North Carolina. But this
- 16:40Speaker 3: is not hard to figure out what's going on down
- 16:43Speaker 3: there in North Carolina.
- 16:45Speaker 14: It's beautiful today. Fall is coming. I'm not my favorite season.
- 16:49Speaker 14: I really love summer, but it's here. It's quite nice.
- 16:53Speaker 14: And we have that big we have a big governor's
- 16:56Speaker 14: race going on. I guess, or no, I guess the
- 16:58Speaker 14: governor is running for the Senate seat. So we're going
- 17:02Speaker 14: to look for that. I'm going to try talk you
- 17:05Speaker 14: out with that.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Hello to Barney Fife and OPI and everybody down there, and.
- 17:09Speaker 9: Hey, hey, hey, we love North Carolina.
- 17:13Speaker 3: It's a great place. Thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 17:15Speaker 3: Dave in Chicago. Dave. How you doing, good morning, Mark.
- 17:19Speaker 13: I'm doing very well, Thank you. Mark.
- 17:21Speaker 15: I know when the recent passed we were all told
- 17:24Speaker 15: not to use TikTok because it came from China and
- 17:27Speaker 15: it stole all of our personal information. My question is
- 17:31Speaker 15: what's the latest status, because I know President Trump does
- 17:35Speaker 15: have a TikTok account.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you can. Well, you know he's got so many phones.
- 17:39Speaker 3: You can have one on a phone that is not
- 17:42Speaker 3: on his phone. But it'll get safer and safer. I
- 17:45Speaker 3: get to wait till it's completely turned over to the
- 17:48Speaker 3: new Board of Directors. So instead of the communist Chinese
- 17:52Speaker 3: having all your data, Larry Ellenson will have it. It'll
- 17:54Speaker 3: be Oracle and some other people running it. But should
- 17:57Speaker 3: be safer. It should be safe. Hey, nowadays all these
- 17:59Speaker 3: apps steal every You just don't want to go into
- 18:01Speaker 3: the communist Chinese government. Who knows what they're up to there.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 18:07Speaker 3: good morning, Mark? That's Mike.
- 18:10Speaker 1: He's listening to the ads you played from the candidates.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Don't you find it funny that in this day and age,
- 18:14Speaker 1: the ads haven't changed much. It's still I'll be ready
- 18:18Speaker 1: on day one. They'll have one eventually with the guy
- 18:20Speaker 1: sitting in the diner. It's like there's a million people
- 18:23Speaker 1: online who have like clever memes and you know, have
- 18:26Speaker 1: unique takes on things, and these politicians still can't get
- 18:29Speaker 1: out of the twentieth century.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a very good point. Now, the reason for
- 18:33Speaker 3: that is there's only a handful of these political consultants,
- 18:37Speaker 3: and they go from campaign to campaign and teach everybody
- 18:41Speaker 3: the same exact ad. You know, if you're a great
- 18:43Speaker 3: consultant and incredible marketing video, you're gonna go to work
- 18:46Speaker 3: for all these big corporations. You're not going to do politics.
- 18:49Speaker 3: But that's a good point. Yeah, they all do this.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I'll be ready on day one. So what everybody's ready
- 18:53Speaker 3: on day one? Every hey, iHeart every major company. We
- 18:58Speaker 3: hire people all the time, they show up. They're ready.
- 19:01Speaker 3: We've never had anybody who we hired say I'm not ready.
- 19:06Speaker 3: I can't stop, I'll have to come back another time.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I'm just not ready. Everybody is ready day one. Let's
- 19:12Speaker 3: go to Stan in Forest Hills, Stan, how you're doing.
- 19:15Speaker 11: Are you doing? Happy holidays? I just want to say,
- 19:19Speaker 11: you know, I keep hearing that's socialism, which I'm not a.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Communist, but you sound like a communist.
- 19:25Speaker 11: No, no, I'm not gonna sound like one. Do you
- 19:28Speaker 11: ever hear yourself?
- 19:29Speaker 3: But that's a little bit of a communist, you don't know.
- 19:31Speaker 11: The point is, we have socialistic programs in this country
- 19:35Speaker 11: that are extremely successful. Well I mean to name them.
- 19:38Speaker 11: They called social security. We pay into it, but it's
- 19:41Speaker 11: for the masses. We have Medicare, we pay that into it.
- 19:45Speaker 11: It's for the masses, and the greatest one is Medicaid, which.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Is in Southern I know that's an old old cliche Democrat,
- 19:51Speaker 3: that's not a cliche. We got to cut you off there.
- 19:53Speaker 3: It's an old democratic cliche talking point. It's a government program.
- 19:57Speaker 3: It's not socialist. I mean, you could say that's what
- 20:00Speaker 3: socialism is, government handouts, but it's not a socialist. You
- 20:04Speaker 3: can opt in, you can opt out, you can do
- 20:05Speaker 3: whatever the hell you want. You cannot take it. Let's
- 20:08Speaker 3: go to David in New Jersey. David, how you.
- 20:11Speaker 6: Doing all right? Good morning? Thank you very much for
- 20:14Speaker 6: taking my call. This is the first time I ever
- 20:16Speaker 6: called I listened to you. You're I think you're great.
- 20:18Speaker 6: Thank you for what you do.
- 20:21Speaker 3: When a guy butters you up first, it means he's
- 20:23Speaker 3: up to something. All right, go ahead, I like.
- 20:26Speaker 6: To hear your opinion on this. We know this Mondmie,
- 20:29Speaker 6: he's a he's an anti semi. The Jews in New
- 20:35Speaker 6: York has, from my understanding, has the biggest population outside Israel.
- 20:41Speaker 6: We know Como's a thief and a bump. What's wrong
- 20:44Speaker 6: with these Jews not voting against this guy?
- 20:47Speaker 3: And they aren't putting the most of the Jewish community
- 20:50Speaker 3: is totally against him, working hard against him. And let
- 20:52Speaker 3: me just defend and Cuomo. I don't think that he's
- 20:54Speaker 3: a thief, the worst governor ever. Yes, a complete incompetent,
- 20:58Speaker 3: a disgrace, Yes, all his sexual Yes, a thief. No,
- 21:03Speaker 3: we don't know if I'm actually stealing money.
- 21:06Speaker 6: But why aren't they putting their vote towards Sleeva?
- 21:09Speaker 3: I do A lot of them are? A lot of
- 21:11Speaker 3: them are.
- 21:13Speaker 6: So Sleeva should be running away with this instead of.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Well, we love the Jewish community, but it's a tiny,
- 21:18Speaker 3: tiny part of the electorate. It's not a big part
- 21:21Speaker 3: of it's not a big percentage of the votes. But
- 21:23Speaker 3: they are much of the Jewish community back in Sliva.
- 21:27Speaker 6: And well let's hope.
- 21:28Speaker 3: So yeah, No, it's just unfortunately it's not a big
- 21:31Speaker 3: enough part of the electorate. Again, it's a turnout race.
- 21:36Speaker 3: If you get huge turnout, MONTDOMI loses. If you get
- 21:39Speaker 3: what we've been getting for like Deblasio or Eric Adams,
- 21:41Speaker 3: where it's eighteen percent turnout twenty that's where you have
- 21:44Speaker 3: a problem. Hey, when we come back, Liz Peak will
- 21:47Speaker 3: be with us next, the great columnist. Let's see what
- 21:49Speaker 3: she thinks about all of this. We'll get to that
- 21:51Speaker 3: next on seven to ten w.
- 21:53Speaker 2: R one an instant dose of honesty any time to
- 21:57Speaker 2: Mark someone Vodkas He's only I Heart Radio app and
- 22:01Speaker 2: at seven ten w o R dot com Slash Podcast
- 22:05Speaker 2: seven ten.
- 22:06Speaker 3: W o rs Mark Simon. Well, the great columnist Liz Peak,
- 22:11Speaker 3: and of course you see her all over television. You
- 22:13Speaker 3: can see her columns foxnews dot com. Also make sure
- 22:17Speaker 3: you go to her website, a great news site, lizpeak
- 22:20Speaker 3: dot com, lizpeak dot com, great stuff every day up there,
- 22:24Speaker 3: Liz Peak.
- 22:25Speaker 13: How you doing, I'm terrific. Thanks for having me on.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Mark, Well, you know I'm watching Schumer and the Keem
- 22:32Speaker 3: Jeffries all over television s every hey's gonna die. We're
- 22:34Speaker 3: gonna die. This is gonna die. And then they all
- 22:37Speaker 3: left for the weekend. They're on vacation. Now, how does
- 22:41Speaker 3: this work?
- 22:41Speaker 13: I guess we're not going to die right away?
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yeah. So are these two just tone deaf Jeffries and Schumer?
- 22:49Speaker 3: Are they just out of touch?
- 22:52Speaker 13: Uh?
- 22:52Speaker 9: They're scared to death? Mark, I think the progressive left
- 22:57Speaker 9: has a stranglehold on the Democratic Party right now. And honestly,
- 23:00Speaker 9: I think you can fairly say that if AOC Alexandero
- 23:05Speaker 9: Cacio Cortez, the progressive darling from New York State, was
- 23:08Speaker 9: not threatening to primary Chuck Schumer when he's up for
- 23:12Speaker 9: reelection in twenty eight we would not be having a
- 23:15Speaker 9: government shutdown. When he signed on and agreed to go
- 23:18Speaker 9: along with the Republican funding bill in March, he got
- 23:21Speaker 9: absolutely sporched by the progressive left.
- 23:25Speaker 13: They hated him for going along.
- 23:27Speaker 9: They think the only thing that Democrats should be doing
- 23:30Speaker 9: is resisting everything Republicans and Donald Trump are trying to do.
- 23:34Speaker 9: And so he learned his lesson. I mean, when you
- 23:37Speaker 9: look at poland guess what Schumer might be beaten by AOC.
- 23:41Speaker 9: It's completely possible. So you know, it's like Andrew Cuomo
- 23:46Speaker 9: running against Mom Donni in New York City for the
- 23:49Speaker 9: mayor's race. I mean, basically, Cuomo a sort of long
- 23:53Speaker 9: time I guess moderate Democrat, although I think he's a
- 23:57Speaker 9: pretty far left Democrat, he is nothing.
- 23:59Speaker 13: Compared to Mamdani.
- 24:00Speaker 9: That's where the energy is, that's where the excitement is
- 24:03Speaker 9: in the Democratic Party. So I mean, honestly, you have
- 24:06Speaker 9: this ridiculous situation where the entire country is in the
- 24:10Speaker 9: grip of AOC who, in my view, is an incredibly
- 24:14Speaker 9: know nothing Democrat representative who has tremendous social media presence.
- 24:20Speaker 13: And that's about it.
- 24:22Speaker 3: And how did we get to this point? Is it
- 24:24Speaker 3: because the universities became in doctrination centers over the last
- 24:29Speaker 3: few decades and we've raised generations of far left kookie
- 24:32Speaker 3: socialist young Is that how this is.
- 24:34Speaker 9: Happening, without a doubt, without a doubt, that is part
- 24:38Speaker 9: of it. I mean, I think in terms of what
- 24:40Speaker 9: ails the Democratic Party, well, first of all, let's look
- 24:45Speaker 9: at their record. Show me a Democrat run state in
- 24:48Speaker 9: the United States that is prospering. The answer is, you
- 24:52Speaker 9: can't because their policies don't work. Mamdani has risen to
- 24:56Speaker 9: fame by talking about affordability. He's completely right that the
- 25:01Speaker 9: two most expensive states to live in are New York
- 25:05Speaker 9: and California. Why would that be, I wonder Well, let's
- 25:08Speaker 9: talk about high taxes and tons of regulation that make
- 25:12Speaker 9: it almost impossible to operate a small business, and all
- 25:16Speaker 9: the kinds of labor laws that they put in effect
- 25:19Speaker 9: that jack up the price of everything from uber drivers
- 25:23Speaker 9: to delivery drivers, delivery people for food and stuff. All
- 25:27Speaker 9: that may seem like a good thing, but the reality
- 25:30Speaker 9: is it means it's incredibly expensive to live in these states.
- 25:34Speaker 9: So weirdly, it's Democrat policies that have pushed the emergence
- 25:40Speaker 9: of Democratic socialists who pretend they're going to solve those
- 25:44Speaker 9: affordability issues by being even farther to the left, having
- 25:48Speaker 9: even more regulation and more taxes, and doing everything that
- 25:52Speaker 9: Democrats have been doing for decades, but on steroids. I mean,
- 25:55Speaker 9: you cannot come up with a worse argument for election
- 25:59Speaker 9: than that, and yet it is resonating.
- 26:02Speaker 3: Yeah, if you think about it, the Democrats have run
- 26:04Speaker 3: every inch in New York legislature, Albany governor, mayor city
- 26:08Speaker 3: council for about twelve years, so why would if it's
- 26:12Speaker 3: such a crisis, why wouldn't you just switch parties? That's
- 26:14Speaker 3: the obvious thing to do.
- 26:16Speaker 13: Yeah, Mark, you know you're thinking straight.
- 26:18Speaker 9: The problem is all these young people are not and
- 26:22Speaker 9: part of it is what you call indoctrination. And that's
- 26:25Speaker 9: exactly the right word for it. You know, during the
- 26:29Speaker 9: Vietnam era, if you think back that long, what how
- 26:32Speaker 9: did you escape the draft? All the lefty hippies who
- 26:36Speaker 9: didn't approve of the warren Vietnam thought could avoid the
- 26:40Speaker 9: draft by becoming teachers and professors.
- 26:43Speaker 13: So they did. And guess what here we are all
- 26:46Speaker 13: these years later.
- 26:47Speaker 9: These guys have organized and run the departments of America's
- 26:52Speaker 9: colleges now for forty plus years.
- 26:55Speaker 13: They hire people who think the way they do.
- 26:58Speaker 9: Polling shows literally the faculty at Harvard, for example, doesn't
- 27:03Speaker 9: even want to have any kind of diversity of opinion
- 27:06Speaker 9: in Harvard's faculty. They don't approve of that. So you
- 27:10Speaker 9: have a very solid generation now that is incredibly left
- 27:15Speaker 9: wing and by the way, incredibly ignorant because they don't
- 27:17Speaker 9: know the history of the Soviet Union. They don't know
- 27:20Speaker 9: the history of Venezuela and how or Cuba or ney
- 27:24Speaker 9: of these countries that are so poor and so destitute
- 27:27Speaker 9: in the case of Soviet Union, that actually collapsed under
- 27:30Speaker 9: the weight of the kinds of policies that they are
- 27:33Speaker 9: now embracing. Had they been ever taught that, or taught
- 27:37Speaker 9: about the virtues of capitalism and how capitalist free countries
- 27:42Speaker 9: do well and create wealth for their people, maybe they
- 27:46Speaker 9: wouldn't be so eager to flock to a guy that
- 27:49Speaker 9: is touting the same failed policies that really have caused
- 27:53Speaker 9: millions to live in poverty.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's a strange election here in New York.
- 27:58Speaker 3: You got one candidate is the absolute worst of the
- 28:00Speaker 3: new generation Democrat and the other candidate's the worst of
- 28:04Speaker 3: the old generation demosra.
- 28:05Speaker 13: Yeah, isn't that the truth? That's a really good point.
- 28:08Speaker 9: It's oh, it's like and and that's you know, that's
- 28:11Speaker 9: obviously anyway.
- 28:12Speaker 13: That's the local issue.
- 28:14Speaker 9: We have two terrible candidates running. Uh, and so it's
- 28:17Speaker 9: it's like, you know, the worst of the choice you
- 28:19Speaker 9: can make. But but I think generally nationally, when you
- 28:23Speaker 9: look at Schumern, Schumer in particular should be embarrassed. I mean,
- 28:26Speaker 9: how many times has he paraded before the cameras well.
- 28:29Speaker 9: Every Sunday night. He used to if you recall, because
- 28:32Speaker 9: nobody else bothered, uh, And he would talk about how
- 28:36Speaker 9: terrible government shutdowns are, how they really hurt the country.
- 28:40Speaker 9: And here they are insisting on one for what end?
- 28:44Speaker 9: To what end they want to? I mean, they don't
- 28:48Speaker 9: want to give the Senate and it's just a few
- 28:50Speaker 9: weeks to get their spending bill in order.
- 28:53Speaker 13: They don't want to do that.
- 28:55Speaker 9: So again, this is this is play acting. It's performative politics,
- 28:59Speaker 9: which is what Democrats have really kind of, you know,
- 29:03Speaker 9: become very good at or at least sort of.
- 29:07Speaker 13: That's all they do.
- 29:08Speaker 9: Now it's performing in politics with no particular purpose.
- 29:12Speaker 13: And I think it's a tragedy honestly.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, great stuff, Liz Peak. Hey, check out her
- 29:17Speaker 3: website lizpeak dot com. You got great stories there every day.
- 29:21Speaker 3: It's a great news site, lizpeak dot com. Be a
- 29:25Speaker 3: subscriber to it and of course reader columns. Watch her
- 29:28Speaker 3: all over television and great stuff, Liz Peak.
- 29:31Speaker 13: Thanks for being with us, Thank you so much for
- 29:34Speaker 13: having me.
- 29:34Speaker 3: All right, take care, let me just see here the
- 29:38Speaker 3: did he trial? Well, no, no word, it's going to
- 29:42Speaker 3: be a little while the hearing is underway. Did he
- 29:46Speaker 3: will be sentenced at some point. We'll bring it to
- 29:48Speaker 3: you when it happens. The judge says, trial evidence did
- 29:52Speaker 3: establish that they were transported for the purpose of engaging
- 29:55Speaker 3: in a commercial sex act. That doesn't sound good. Prosecute
- 30:00Speaker 3: wants eleven years. Did he wants time served? That's fourteen months.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Criminal lawyers say it'll be somewhere in the middle of
- 30:08Speaker 3: five six years. Well, we'll see, it'll happen later this
- 30:11Speaker 3: morning and we'll get to that coming up on seven
- 30:14Speaker 3: ten WR.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Mark Simone on seven ten WR.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Hey, we got a stop for the news. We'll get
- 30:23Speaker 3: updated on everything, find out all the latest, and then
- 30:25Speaker 3: we got another hour to go with lots to get to.
- 30:28Speaker 3: We'll get to the mayoral race again and we'll get to, Hey,
- 30:32Speaker 3: the Trump sombrero stuff. We'll explain how that came about
- 30:35Speaker 3: and more. Right after the news on seven to ten WR.
- 30:40Speaker 3: He's more.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Mark, Okay, So Marximone show on seven ten WOR.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Well, Hey, lots to get to. If you're interested in
- 30:50Speaker 3: plastic surgery, be listening later this hour. We'll get to
- 30:54Speaker 3: the mayoral race. We'll get back to that and a
- 30:57Speaker 3: whole lot more. You know, the sombrero videos are the
- 31:02Speaker 3: best part of the shutdown. Don't worry about a shutdown.
- 31:05Speaker 3: We have a government shutdown every couple of years. Happens
- 31:08Speaker 3: all the time. You've been through a dozen of them.
- 31:09Speaker 3: You don't even remember any of them. Remember twenty eighteen, No,
- 31:15Speaker 3: that was the longest one ever, thirty five days. That
- 31:18Speaker 3: was during Trump's first term. So you'll get through this
- 31:21Speaker 3: just fine. But the best part was the It started
- 31:24Speaker 3: with Hakeem Jeffries, who's this pompous, way too serious, humorless
- 31:28Speaker 3: guy who stands up there and says, everybody's gonna die. Well,
- 31:32Speaker 3: they made a video with him with a sombrero on
- 31:35Speaker 3: and a Mexican looking mustache and this great music. I
- 31:39Speaker 3: love this music. But you gotta go watch them. They're
- 31:42Speaker 3: hysterical to look at. They're very very Wait a minute,
- 31:47Speaker 3: how do I stop this thing? I'm playing it on
- 31:50Speaker 3: my phone. I can't stop it. But go watch them.
- 31:54Speaker 3: We're up on my Twitter, the sombrero videos of Hakem Jeffries,
- 31:58Speaker 3: of Schumer, there's one of every Democrat. They're hysterical. Now
- 32:02Speaker 3: then these pompous, humorless democrats are all over MSNBC and
- 32:07Speaker 3: everywhere going it's this bigoted, the bigotry of these videos.
- 32:11Speaker 3: It's racist, it's bigotry. It's this, it's a he copied
- 32:14Speaker 3: it from you, guys. You guys did it to him.
- 32:17Speaker 3: He copied it from you. Do you remember there was
- 32:19Speaker 3: a they tried this for two seconds, Taco Trump. What
- 32:23Speaker 3: did taco stand for? Trump? Always chickens out, But they
- 32:26Speaker 3: kept calling him Taco Trump. And they put out millions
- 32:30Speaker 3: of videos of him with a sombrero, him with the mustache,
- 32:32Speaker 3: him with the Mexican music, and him on a taco truck.
- 32:37Speaker 3: It was Taco Trump. There were millions and millions of videos.
- 32:40Speaker 3: That's where he got the idea. He's using your technique.
- 32:44Speaker 3: So if it's just disgusting and bigoted, you guys are
- 32:49Speaker 3: the ones that invented it, so blame yourselves. In Chicago
- 32:53Speaker 3: right now, there's big protesting at an ICE facility, crazy
- 32:57Speaker 3: left wing democrats protesting. It's pretty funny if you think
- 33:03Speaker 3: about it. He's left wing, these democrats yelling at the
- 33:07Speaker 3: ICE creat what are you doing enforcing the law? Cut
- 33:09Speaker 3: that out, Stop enforcing the law. It's just getting more
- 33:14Speaker 3: and more ridiculous, which is great. As you head to
- 33:16Speaker 3: the midterm elections, Democrats will wipe themselves out. Traditionally, a
- 33:21Speaker 3: new president loses the Congress in a mid term two
- 33:25Speaker 3: years in. There are exceptions. This will probably be one.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Democrats going so far to the left they'll never find
- 33:33Speaker 3: their way back to the middle and sanity. You know,
- 33:36Speaker 3: we're talking about the mayoral race last hour. Here's the
- 33:39Speaker 3: problem with Cuomo. Here's this big problem besides the fact
- 33:43Speaker 3: everybody hates him, he's creepy, and besides the fact that
- 33:45Speaker 3: he's made so many enemies. You know, you notice he's
- 33:48Speaker 3: get these endorsements the union, Electrical workers Union, the plumbers union.
- 33:53Speaker 3: What the hell do I care what the plumbers union thinks.
- 33:56Speaker 3: I mean, if I need my sink fixed, I care
- 33:58Speaker 3: what they think. But political situation, I don't go to
- 34:01Speaker 3: the plumbers union anytime I'm trying to decide a political issue.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I don't call my electrician. I don't call the plumber
- 34:07Speaker 3: and ask him about So who cares what these unions do.
- 34:10Speaker 3: The big endorsements would come from big leaders, especially in
- 34:17Speaker 3: Albany and all that, but they all hated him. Cuomo
- 34:19Speaker 3: threatened everybody who was the biggest bully there So the
- 34:21Speaker 3: problem is he's running against this very left wing socialist
- 34:25Speaker 3: Kami Mam Dami or is Al Sharpton called him, Mam dammy,
- 34:30Speaker 3: Mam Donni. And Cuomo is now running as the centrist,
- 34:34Speaker 3: old fashioned, middle of the road Democrat, which is a
- 34:37Speaker 3: total lie. He's putting on this act and it's killing
- 34:41Speaker 3: him with Democrats. Is the problem is he looks old.
- 34:43Speaker 3: He's got that same shirt that Fredo wore in The
- 34:46Speaker 3: Godfather in Cuba, and he just looks old and tired,
- 34:51Speaker 3: like an old dinosaur. And if he just ran as himself,
- 34:55Speaker 3: he's more to the left than Mom Donnie. Nobody's done
- 34:59Speaker 3: more left wing crazy things in office than Cuomo. Cuomo's
- 35:03Speaker 3: the guy that gave us no bail, no jail. Culomo
- 35:06Speaker 3: was the guy that literally just closed the prisons and
- 35:09Speaker 3: let the prisoners out. If he would just do that stuff,
- 35:13Speaker 3: he could capture these young mom DOMI voters. You know
- 35:17Speaker 3: that that would be the campaign that would win if
- 35:19Speaker 3: he actually tried that, If he just went to them
- 35:21Speaker 3: and said, you know he's talking about it, I've actually
- 35:24Speaker 3: done it, I can get it done. I'm the only
- 35:25Speaker 3: one that's actually let prisoners out. I'm the only one
- 35:29Speaker 3: that's defund I've actually defunded the cops. It'd be a
- 35:33Speaker 3: campaign that would win these crazy left wing and he's
- 35:35Speaker 3: afraid to do that for all kinds of reasons. But listen,
- 35:38Speaker 3: this is actual Cuomo video from back then when he
- 35:42Speaker 3: was the most radical governor ever. Listen to this video.
- 35:44Speaker 3: If he ran this in a campaign ad, he could
- 35:48Speaker 3: win those young socials. Listen to Cuomo as governor the
- 35:51Speaker 3: crazy things he did. Wait a minute, Wait a minute,
- 35:56Speaker 3: where it's the sound here?
- 35:57Speaker 8: It is, well, sister, once and for a way, we're.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Going wait, hang on, hang on, I'll get it.
- 36:03Speaker 8: That's whether you're rich or poor. We're gonna und the
- 36:06Speaker 8: cash bail system once and for all. We're gonna do
- 36:09Speaker 8: it in New York, and we're gonna.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Do it this year.
- 36:16Speaker 8: We have to have moral alternatives to incarceration, strict timelines
- 36:21Speaker 8: on court dates, and we have to eliminate the racial
- 36:25Speaker 8: bias that is pervasive in our criminal justice system. As
- 36:30Speaker 8: governor of the State of New York, I can't tell
- 36:33Speaker 8: you how.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Proud I am to have.
- 36:36Speaker 8: Closed more prisons than any governor in the history of
- 36:41Speaker 8: the state. And I'm not done yet.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Now this is a radical, radical, left wing, far left guy.
- 36:50Speaker 3: If he would just go back to being himself, run
- 36:52Speaker 3: that video, run it as your campaign had, You'll steal
- 36:55Speaker 3: votes from Mam Donnie. That's how you could really stop
- 36:59Speaker 3: my Donnie. If Cuomo ran as himself, that very very
- 37:04Speaker 3: very radical left wing governor that he was, he and
- 37:07Speaker 3: mont Donnie would split up that radical vote and then
- 37:10Speaker 3: be easy for Curtis to walk right in. Curtis is
- 37:14Speaker 3: finally running a lot of ads, and he's finally hitting
- 37:17Speaker 3: Cuomo with the nursing home stuff, and it's all leading
- 37:21Speaker 3: up to the debate. October sixteenth is the big debate.
- 37:25Speaker 3: October sixteenth, it'll be on Channel four. There's a second
- 37:32Speaker 3: debate six days later that's on New York One. Nobody
- 37:34Speaker 3: really sees New York one, and it's not that anybody
- 37:36Speaker 3: watches Channel four. It's not a big audience. But it
- 37:39Speaker 3: goes all over the internet. It goes viral. So if
- 37:41Speaker 3: something big happens in that debate October sixteenth, that's where
- 37:44Speaker 3: the race could change. That could be the turning point.
- 37:48Speaker 3: If there's going to be a turning point. And again
- 37:50Speaker 3: I keep repeating this. The other thing is turnout. If
- 37:53Speaker 3: we get what we'll be getting the last three or
- 37:55Speaker 3: four elections. No turnout eighteen percent, turnout twenty percent. That's
- 38:00Speaker 3: where the radical left wing can win because they'll always
- 38:03Speaker 3: turn out. If you go back to the old days
- 38:05Speaker 3: of seventy five eighty five percent turnout, that's where mom
- 38:08Speaker 3: Donnie loses because all the normal people come out. It's
- 38:12Speaker 3: all about turnout. Taylor Swift album dropped last night at midnight. Now,
- 38:18Speaker 3: you know, it's tough nowadays you don't make You know,
- 38:20Speaker 3: in the old days of phonograph albums, what did they cost.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I don't even remember. But you know, people buy the
- 38:28Speaker 3: album or the CD. You know, they go buy your CD.
- 38:30Speaker 3: It's twenty dollars. So there's twenty dollars every sale. You know.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Now it's downloading, you're lucky if you get thirty cents.
- 38:38Speaker 3: It's all downloading or streaming. It's mostly streaming, so you
- 38:42Speaker 3: don't get the money anyway. Now you've got to make
- 38:44Speaker 3: all your money now by doing a concert tour. Taylor
- 38:47Speaker 3: Swift is the king of concert tours. I don't think
- 38:50Speaker 3: anybody's ever made more money on tour. She's become a
- 38:53Speaker 3: billionaire doing that. But very smart marketing very smart business person.
- 38:58Speaker 3: So what she's done. As soon as the album drops,
- 39:01Speaker 3: the merchandising drops with it. So yeah, you can just
- 39:04Speaker 3: stream the songs and pay three cents or whatever. But
- 39:08Speaker 3: everything is being sold right now, and we don't have
- 39:11Speaker 3: any numbers yet, but she's been selling shirts, sweaters, gloves, hats, everything,
- 39:16Speaker 3: Taylor Swift everything with the new album logo on it.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Very very smart. You know, when you're somebody like Taylor
- 39:22Speaker 3: Swift and you play Madison Square Garden. Actually she's too
- 39:25Speaker 3: big now. She plays stadiums, but a lot of big
- 39:30Speaker 3: Let's say you're playing Madison Square Garden, big, big, big, superstit.
- 39:34Speaker 3: You get to two and a half million, three million
- 39:37Speaker 3: for the concert. But the merchandising, you know, she'll actually
- 39:41Speaker 3: make five or six hundred thousand dollars in the lobby
- 39:45Speaker 3: before anybody even walks in, five or six hundred thousand,
- 39:48Speaker 3: just on merchandise, just on just on the T shirt sales,
- 39:53Speaker 3: all that kind of stuff. It's become an amazing, amazing business.
- 39:58Speaker 3: So what else the Yankees Tomorrow night, that's going to be, uh,
- 40:02Speaker 3: that's going to be the big, big first game of
- 40:05Speaker 3: the series. Tomorrow night. It's actually it's four o'clock tomorrow afternoon,
- 40:08Speaker 3: four o'clock. Hey, we were talking last hour about TikTok.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Will it become safe? Will your data no longer be
- 40:13Speaker 3: in the hands of the communist Chinese? Well, it will
- 40:16Speaker 3: now be controlled by a US led group. And exactly
- 40:21Speaker 3: who is that? It's Oracle, So that's Larry Ellison. I'm
- 40:25Speaker 3: gonna sneeze in a minute. Wait a minute. Oracle a
- 40:30Speaker 3: company called silver Lake and then Dreasen Horowitz and Dreasen Horrowitz.
- 40:36Speaker 3: What a name. But they'll control it. Under the TikTok
- 40:40Speaker 3: divestment law passed by Congress, Chinese ownership cannot exceed twenty
- 40:45Speaker 3: so will be in the hands of American tech companies KKR.
- 40:52Speaker 3: That's Henry Cravison Company General Atlantic. This is a tough choice.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Who would you trust with all your data? Communist Chinese
- 41:02Speaker 3: or Silicon Valley. I don't know, so I gotta have
- 41:05Speaker 3: to think about that one for a while. Hey, it's autumn.
- 41:09Speaker 3: It's officially fall now. Of course, you all the jokes
- 41:12Speaker 3: about this pumpkin spice coffee and pumpkin spice, this and that,
- 41:15Speaker 3: but it's worse than that. For instance, Trader Joe's has are.
- 41:21Speaker 3: This is a big thing with them. Every autumn, the
- 41:23Speaker 3: Trader Joe's Autumn menu. People go crazy for this stuff.
- 41:28Speaker 3: The biggest winner this season Trader Joe's butternut squash mac
- 41:31Speaker 3: and cheese. I don't know, but these are these Traders.
- 41:36Speaker 3: It's like a cult, this Trader Joe's. They're very proud
- 41:39Speaker 3: of that. The canvas Trader Joe's bag, very very cultish.
- 41:44Speaker 3: The other one is a butternut squashed lasagna that doesn't
- 41:48Speaker 3: sound good either. Another big cellar that cocoa truffles with
- 41:52Speaker 3: maple syrup sounds even worse. Autumn harvest pasta sauce. Again.
- 41:58Speaker 3: You got to be a cult member there in the
- 42:00Speaker 3: Trader Joe's cult. Maple ice cream sandwiches, EH, salted maple
- 42:06Speaker 3: cold foam creamer. Again, none of this sounds good. Maple
- 42:09Speaker 3: spice nut mix, maple and sea salt, cattle corn. But
- 42:13Speaker 3: this is very, very very big with the Trader Joe's crowd.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Costco same thing. They all go crazy about certain things there,
- 42:23Speaker 3: but they're bringing back some of the fan favorites. Costco.
- 42:28Speaker 3: You know their store brand is Kirkland. Kirkland is the
- 42:31Speaker 3: town that come from Costco the signature butter cinnamon sugar loaf,
- 42:37Speaker 3: which comes in ghosts. But apparently people go crazy for this.
- 42:40Speaker 3: It's the most addictive thing in the world, butter cinnamon
- 42:44Speaker 3: sugar loaf, and whenever it shows up on the shelves,
- 42:48Speaker 3: people just line up for it. It's only nine, it's
- 42:54Speaker 3: they point out, it's not the healthiest thing in the world.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Nearly a full stick of butter is baked into each loaf.
- 43:01Speaker 3: In fact, another woman on Instagram showed the loaf rolled
- 43:04Speaker 3: around in melted butter. That's how you get the coating
- 43:06Speaker 3: to stick. One serving is four hundred and ten calories
- 43:09Speaker 3: thirty three grams of sugar. That's a lot. That's a lot.
- 43:13Speaker 3: It's not the healthiest thing for you, but nobody has.
- 43:17Speaker 3: They do have great food. You got to give it
- 43:19Speaker 3: to a Trader Joe, not Trader Joe's, but Costco Trader Joe's.
- 43:22Speaker 3: I gotta live with out. Hey, Harvard, Now this is
- 43:25Speaker 3: an interesting story. President Trump has been all over Harvard
- 43:29Speaker 3: and he's now got them caving in left and right.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Harvard has agreed to pay five hundred million. And what
- 43:37Speaker 3: they're going to do, They're going to operate a network,
- 43:40Speaker 3: a nationwide network of trade schools. Now, you know, one
- 43:43Speaker 3: of our great sponsors is Lincoln Tech. When it comes
- 43:46Speaker 3: to these trade schools, they're a great thing for many,
- 43:50Speaker 3: many kids. This is the answer trade school. Nobody better
- 43:54Speaker 3: than Lincoln Tech. But Harvard is now being forced to
- 43:58Speaker 3: get into the game. And President than Trump has said
- 44:01Speaker 3: over and over this, it's so important to have these
- 44:04Speaker 3: trade schools. There's a lot of kids that they don't
- 44:07Speaker 3: need to be lawyers or doctors. They want to be plumbers,
- 44:09Speaker 3: they want to be h fact, they want to be
- 44:11Speaker 3: in various industries. You go to this tech school, you know,
- 44:15Speaker 3: you immediately got a career. You graduate Harvard with your
- 44:18Speaker 3: degree in liberal arts, you end up living in your parents'
- 44:21Speaker 3: house for ten years. But President Trump said, we used
- 44:24Speaker 3: to have a lot of trade schools in this country.
- 44:27Speaker 3: We don't anymore, and we need them back. So part
- 44:30Speaker 3: of the settlement with Harvard, they're going to spend five
- 44:33Speaker 3: hundred million open a network of trade schools focus on
- 44:37Speaker 3: artificial intelligence, engineering, and other technical skills. Well, see, there
- 44:43Speaker 3: you go, Harvard trying to catch up with Lincoln Tech.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Pretty good. Hey, we'll take some calls in a moment.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Now back to the marks, Emosho on woor.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 45:07Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Aaron
- 45:10Speaker 3: in Indianapolis erin how you doing.
- 45:14Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark? Speaking of Andrew Pomo, would it be
- 45:18Speaker 6: possible to replace him with Perry Como?
- 45:22Speaker 3: Well, that'd be great if for those of you under
- 45:26Speaker 3: eighty five, Perry Como was one of the greatest television
- 45:30Speaker 3: stars ever. He was a great singer, but the biggest star,
- 45:34Speaker 3: biggest variety show in the late fifties early so he
- 45:36Speaker 3: was a big, very nice guy. Lived at Long Island
- 45:40Speaker 3: Sands Point. And you remember Perry Como? Are you a
- 45:44Speaker 3: fan of his?
- 45:47Speaker 13: I was from walking him on TV with my dad.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Oh, okay, so that while you're from back there, actually
- 45:55Speaker 3: remember I'm trying to remember. Yeah. It was at a party.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I'm standing there with Joe Namath and Matilda Cuomo comes over,
- 46:05Speaker 3: wife of Mario, and says hello to me, and I
- 46:08Speaker 3: introduced her. I said, Joe Namath, this is Matilda Cuomo.
- 46:12Speaker 3: I swear to God, and he says your husband was
- 46:15Speaker 3: the greatest singer ever. I said, no, no, Cuomo Quoma, not Coomo.
- 46:21Speaker 3: But she laughed, she said, I get that a lot.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Let's go to uh Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich.
- 46:26Speaker 6: How you doing pretty good? Just sitting around the pool.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Finally got to sleep at the windows open last night.
- 46:31Speaker 6: We got a nice little cool snap down here. We
- 46:32Speaker 6: finally got a trade of Joe's opened up this past
- 46:35Speaker 6: Tuesday as well, so everybody was excited. It wasn't it.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Uh No, that was quite out. It's Myrtle Beach. It's
- 46:40Speaker 3: like also in any suburb if anything opens, they line
- 46:44Speaker 3: up for one hundred miles. They get all excited about anything.
- 46:47Speaker 3: If you open something, you could open a trader Joe's
- 46:50Speaker 3: right here out fifty sixth Street, everydy go what the away?
- 46:53Speaker 3: But in the suburbs they will line up.
- 46:56Speaker 6: I'll lined up around the block. And the porn rain
- 46:58Speaker 6: on Tuesday morning, it was hysterical. It wasn't it the
- 47:01Speaker 6: Channel four that screwed Curtis last year in the debate.
- 47:04Speaker 6: Did he make any preps to have certain rules that
- 47:07Speaker 6: he's allowed to speak more than thirty seconds this time around?
- 47:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good point. Channel four rigged the mayoral
- 47:12Speaker 3: debate last time. He early allowed a thirty second answer,
- 47:15Speaker 3: which of course is not enough time to give a
- 47:17Speaker 3: full answer, and they were trying to protect Eric Adams.
- 47:20Speaker 3: They thought he wouldn't be too articulate. And then the
- 47:22Speaker 3: whole second section yes or no answer only, which is idiotic.
- 47:26Speaker 3: It's just preposterous to have yes or no answers in
- 47:29Speaker 3: the debate.
- 47:30Speaker 6: And hous Curtis made any kind of points or any
- 47:32Speaker 6: kind of you know, demands on how the debate's supposed
- 47:34Speaker 6: to be run.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Well, if you'll recall, he was on the show a
- 47:36Speaker 3: couple weeks so I said all this to him. He said, yeah,
- 47:39Speaker 3: I'll be taking care of him, So I'm sure he will.
- 47:42Speaker 3: I'm sure he will. Actually, I think they're always trying
- 47:45Speaker 3: to help, knowing Channel four, they always trying to help
- 47:47Speaker 3: the Democrats. So, mom, Donnie's a very articulate guy. He
- 47:51Speaker 3: has no problem in debate. So I'm sure they'll loosen
- 47:53Speaker 3: up the rules, let people actually talk this time. And
- 47:56Speaker 3: Cuomo is terrible in the debate. You know, mom, Donnie's
- 47:59Speaker 3: a talker. He talks like this and he sounds like
- 48:01Speaker 3: he knows what he's talking. About and Curtis is a
- 48:04Speaker 3: professional debate for thirty years. Cuomo talks so slow that
- 48:09Speaker 3: compared to these two guys, he's gonna look ridiculous in
- 48:13Speaker 3: this debate. Let's go to Jay in New Jersey. Jay,
- 48:16Speaker 3: how you doing? Yeah?
- 48:18Speaker 5: He Mark, You know about the sombreros. I just think
- 48:21Speaker 5: that's you know what's great about that, you know, is
- 48:23Speaker 5: that is that the Democrats, just like you know, when
- 48:27Speaker 5: Kamala Harris and Hillary Quinton put on fake accidents. If
- 48:31Speaker 5: if Deem Jefferies were to court the Hispanic vote, he
- 48:34Speaker 5: would probably put on a sombrero, the same way they
- 48:38Speaker 5: chose Tim Wall to appeal to men. So this this
- 48:41Speaker 5: joke has a lot of truth to it, and I
- 48:43Speaker 5: don't think they realize you that it does.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Yeah, well, the whole fight is over paying for illegal
- 48:48Speaker 3: aliens health care. That's why the Mexican stuff. But again,
- 48:51Speaker 3: the Democrats invented this sombrero stuff. They did it to Trump.
- 48:55Speaker 3: They called it Taco Trump. They started these memes all this,
- 48:58Speaker 3: and but Trump does you know, you can say trolling Trump,
- 49:01Speaker 3: but he's better at trolling than you are. Now, the
- 49:04Speaker 3: argument is, it's a president of the United States, he
- 49:06Speaker 3: should not be making silly jokes like this with memes.
- 49:08Speaker 3: And I don't know, I don't know. We're in a
- 49:11Speaker 3: different world now. I mean it is kind of WWE
- 49:14Speaker 3: kind of a presidency, but it's twenty twenty five. You're
- 49:18Speaker 3: in a different world now. He's not Eisenhower, he's not
- 49:21Speaker 3: Harry Truman. He's a modern day guy. Let's go to
- 49:25Speaker 3: Jim in New Jersey. Jim, how you doing, Mark?
- 49:28Speaker 16: Speaking of the Yankees. You don't have they got the
- 49:30Speaker 16: name the New York Yankees. No, well, they were the
- 49:34Speaker 16: turn of the last century. They were the New York
- 49:37Speaker 16: Highlanders because they played play up in Manhattan. Yeah, and
- 49:41Speaker 16: circa nineteen twelve nineteen thirteen, in the off season, they
- 49:45Speaker 16: would go down south and play exhibition games. Now it's
- 49:48Speaker 16: still very wrong. This is less than fifty years after
- 49:51Speaker 16: the Civil War. So the residents would down they would say, oh,
- 49:54Speaker 16: here come those Yankees from the North. Oh, they changed
- 49:57Speaker 16: the name for the Yankees.
- 49:58Speaker 3: That's actually a very good story, very good.
- 50:00Speaker 16: Oh, thanks, Mark, have a good weekend.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Thanks for calling. Yeah. Well, yeah, they still they all
- 50:07Speaker 3: go south for obviously spring training and Florida and Arizona
- 50:12Speaker 3: and all those places. So playoffs begin first game Yankees
- 50:16Speaker 3: Toronto tomorrow afternoon, four o'clock. Now, remember it used to
- 50:21Speaker 3: be when did the season end. It was like October second,
- 50:25Speaker 3: the season would end always that was it final. And
- 50:28Speaker 3: then the World Series is start like October fourth for
- 50:31Speaker 3: one week and that was the World Series. Now you
- 50:34Speaker 3: got a division playoff, section playoff of this playoff that playoff.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Remember they used to call Reggie mister October because he
- 50:41Speaker 3: had really hit in the World Series. Mister October. That
- 50:46Speaker 3: doesn't mean anything anymore, you know, it's mister November. Now
- 50:50Speaker 3: they have to actually change the name. So and it's
- 50:53Speaker 3: hard to believe we're already in the postseason. But hey,
- 50:57Speaker 3: when we come back, doctor Arthur Perry will be with us,
- 51:00Speaker 3: the great plastic surgeon. I think, is he coming in person?
- 51:05Speaker 3: We love the guy and it's always good. Yeah, he's
- 51:07Speaker 3: coming in person. Yeah. I don't like when they come
- 51:11Speaker 3: in person. You know. For first of all, I mean,
- 51:13Speaker 3: I love the guy. He's a great plastic surgeon. But
- 51:15Speaker 3: when he's looking at you, you can tell he's looking
- 51:18Speaker 3: at you, going huh, I could fix that. Look at that.
- 51:21Speaker 3: I need to fix that. They just look at the Wader.
- 51:24Speaker 3: It's like the contractor when he looks at your house.
- 51:26Speaker 3: He wants to fix everything in there. So we'll talk
- 51:29Speaker 3: to him next. If you got any plastic surgery questions
- 51:31Speaker 3: or things you always wanted to know but didn't want
- 51:34Speaker 3: to be seen asking, we'll do it next on seven
- 51:37Speaker 3: to ten wo r. Let's well, everybody is interested in
- 51:44Speaker 3: plastic surgery. Everybody now. Doctor Arthur Perry one of the
- 51:48Speaker 3: best plastic surgeons on earth. You can hear him. He's
- 51:51Speaker 3: got a radio show here every Saturday at six o'clock,
- 51:54Speaker 3: Doctor Arthur Perry. But he's really good. And his website
- 51:57Speaker 3: is Perry Plastic Surgery Perryplastic Surgery dot com. And he's
- 52:03Speaker 3: with us. Actually, I hate when you're in the studio.
- 52:05Speaker 3: I mean I love seeing you, but thanks Mary, I
- 52:07Speaker 3: can tell you looking at me going oh I can
- 52:09Speaker 3: fix that. Oh that needs fixing.
- 52:11Speaker 10: Just just a few hours in the operating room and
- 52:14Speaker 10: we're all set Mark and oh look look Mark, look
- 52:17Speaker 10: what I brought for you. Oh no, what is that?
- 52:19Speaker 10: That's botox. It's botox. I've been threatening one day you're
- 52:23Speaker 10: going to break down. We're actually going to do it
- 52:25Speaker 10: in the studio.
- 52:27Speaker 3: I cry at a flu shut. So I just don't
- 52:29Speaker 3: like this stuff. It's such a small needle. It's okay, Mark,
- 52:32Speaker 3: it is tiny. The needle he showed me is tiny. Now,
- 52:36Speaker 3: and I know a million people that get botox every
- 52:39Speaker 3: two seconds. It doesn't bother them at all.
- 52:41Speaker 10: Ten million people last year in the United States' that's
- 52:44Speaker 10: a lot of people. It is so popular. He's looking
- 52:49Speaker 10: at me.
- 52:49Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 52:51Speaker 3: I will do it someday. Well, you know, we'll get
- 52:53Speaker 3: him there. Now, let me ask you a question. There's
- 52:55Speaker 3: a couple of these hot shot plastic surgeons. I don't
- 52:57Speaker 3: know that they're great. I see him in the newspaper
- 52:59Speaker 3: all the time. They're in the guy subcoms, which is
- 53:01Speaker 3: usually a bad sign. But one of them, somebody calls
- 53:03Speaker 3: it's like two hundred three hundred thousand for a Faceliok.
- 53:06Speaker 3: That that's crazy. That's crazy. That is absolutely crazy.
- 53:09Speaker 10: And you know, I mean the truth is, how do
- 53:11Speaker 10: people get in the magazines and on TV? They get
- 53:14Speaker 10: pr agents And it doesn't necessarily mean they're the best.
- 53:17Speaker 10: Some of the best plastic surgeons I know no one's
- 53:20Speaker 10: ever heard of. Because they're full time faculty members. They
- 53:22Speaker 10: are the best. You've never heard of them, and yet
- 53:26Speaker 10: you know the one hundred thousand, two hundred thousand dollars
- 53:28Speaker 10: faceliffs crazy, Mark, Yeah, so you don't have to spend
- 53:31Speaker 10: that kind No.
- 53:32Speaker 3: You do not.
- 53:32Speaker 10: That is a true anomaly in the world. And there
- 53:35Speaker 10: are only a few people that could either get away
- 53:37Speaker 10: with that or find people should I say, stupid enough
- 53:41Speaker 10: to pay that kind of money that's crazy?
- 53:43Speaker 3: Well yeah, and that's uh, those it's those people that go,
- 53:47Speaker 3: I saw I'm in the pay Perry must be good
- 53:49Speaker 3: and then they pay that kind of money. But yeah,
- 53:51Speaker 3: doctor Arthur Perry, can you can trust him? You want
- 53:53Speaker 3: to go to him? Now? Speaking of facelift, that look
- 53:55Speaker 3: at that? If I lift my face like that looks better?
- 53:58Speaker 10: All right, Yes, yep, we gotta do it, Mark, come on,
- 54:01Speaker 10: come on, But four hours and you're a changed man.
- 54:07Speaker 10: But four hours, well that's how a facelook is. Three
- 54:10Speaker 10: or four hours. But honestly, Mark, there are much simpler
- 54:13Speaker 10: ways to look better. Here it is the fall, right,
- 54:15Speaker 10: we're in October. We've gone through the summer. Everyone was
- 54:18Speaker 10: out having parties and on the beach. Now we're getting
- 54:22Speaker 10: ready for Thanksgiving and the Christmas season. Right, everyone wants
- 54:26Speaker 10: to look good. But there are some really simple things
- 54:28Speaker 10: that you can do to look good, and people just
- 54:30Speaker 10: forget the little growth on the face. Everybody's got kind
- 54:34Speaker 10: of a zoo growing on their face mark, you know,
- 54:36Speaker 10: mules and sebaria character season and the simple, simple thing
- 54:41Speaker 10: that you can do doesn't cost a lot of money.
- 54:43Speaker 10: You go in for a session with a plastic surgeon
- 54:45Speaker 10: and look better. You know, I looked at some statistics.
- 54:48Speaker 10: Forty percent of adults are single. Did you know that?
- 54:52Speaker 3: Wow?
- 54:52Speaker 10: Forty percent, and it goes to like forty six percent
- 54:55Speaker 10: over the age of sixty. That's a lot of single people.
- 54:58Speaker 10: Everybody's ap Yeah, but everybody wants to look better, right, Yeah,
- 55:04Speaker 10: you do. You know we see people on TV and
- 55:08Speaker 10: in the movies and they're not they're not unattractive, right,
- 55:12Speaker 10: there's so you know, you can make whatever judgments you want,
- 55:15Speaker 10: but the truth is we'd like to look at prettier
- 55:18Speaker 10: and better looking people, right. So it's so simple to
- 55:21Speaker 10: just clean up the things on your skin. That's number one.
- 55:23Speaker 10: And a good skincare program that will take you a
- 55:25Speaker 10: long way to looking better.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Yeah, we all know somebody with a big mole or
- 55:29Speaker 3: something's sticking out a little and that's not surgery, that's just.
- 55:34Speaker 10: Well, it's it's surgery. It's minor surgery. But it's in
- 55:36Speaker 10: the office, and you know, forty five minutes later it's
- 55:39Speaker 10: gone and you look so much better. The psychologists use
- 55:42Speaker 10: this term called cognitive dissonance. You know, that's where you
- 55:45Speaker 10: look at someone and there's something wrong and you can't
- 55:47Speaker 10: quite put your finger on it. But it's the asymmetry
- 55:50Speaker 10: that a mole creates, or maybe a big brown mole
- 55:53Speaker 10: with hair. You know, no one likes that. Get rid
- 55:55Speaker 10: of those things. They're so easy, and some of those
- 55:58Speaker 10: could be cancer. So you know, it's a good idea.
- 56:01Speaker 10: You get two benefits. You have a medical benefit and
- 56:03Speaker 10: a cosmetic benefit when you do those things.
- 56:05Speaker 3: Now I could look at them mirror, I could see
- 56:07Speaker 3: three things I could fix. You look at me, you
- 56:09Speaker 3: see like forty two things. Right, it's a project mark.
- 56:14Speaker 10: But everybody as you get older, look we all age, right.
- 56:17Speaker 3: All right, So if I got a facelift like that
- 56:20Speaker 3: four hours, now, then what happens how long before I
- 56:22Speaker 3: look normal and go to work?
- 56:23Speaker 10: Well, you're out of work for about two weeks. That's it,
- 56:26Speaker 10: you know. And now with masks, yeah, maybe you get
- 56:29Speaker 10: in a little sooner now about two weeks really, and
- 56:32Speaker 10: it's a pretty easy recovery. No pain medicine other than
- 56:35Speaker 10: til bad word now, but tile and all.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Not a painful thing.
- 56:41Speaker 10: No, it doesn't hurt afterwards. Honestly, in a scale of
- 56:43Speaker 10: one to ten of facelifts, is somewhere between one and three.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah, okay, Now these bags under my eyes, if
- 56:49Speaker 3: I want to get rid of those.
- 56:50Speaker 10: Even easier, mar Yeah, so the there's some extra I'm
- 56:54Speaker 10: looking at. You've got some extra skin of your lower islands.
- 56:57Speaker 10: You've got some fat in the lower islands, your upper
- 56:59Speaker 10: eyel look at your upper islands, Mark, there's extra skin.
- 57:02Speaker 10: It's almost an emergency. That's about two and a half
- 57:08Speaker 10: three hours. Look these procedures, by the way, under local anesesia,
- 57:11Speaker 10: we don't need to use general anesesia. It's nice, smooth,
- 57:15Speaker 10: intravenous sedation like with your colonoscopy, except no tubes in
- 57:20Speaker 10: the other side. There's a nice RESTful thing and it
- 57:25Speaker 10: doesn't hurt. And then you come out. You look terrible
- 57:28Speaker 10: though for about two weeks because you're bruised and swollen,
- 57:30Speaker 10: and then you look great.
- 57:31Speaker 3: And for two weeks you gotta put ice on it
- 57:33Speaker 3: and all that kind of stuff.
- 57:34Speaker 10: Now the ice Actually, interestingly, we don't use ice anymore.
- 57:37Speaker 10: You shouldn't use ice because some people get frostbite injuries
- 57:40Speaker 10: and there's no benefit to it, so you just recover.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, okay, what else? Okay, if you're a woman breasts, Now,
- 57:48Speaker 3: what's the trend now? Is it bigger? Smaller?
- 57:51Speaker 10: Well, certainly smaller than it used to be. You know,
- 57:54Speaker 10: it's always funny, Mark, you know when you see women
- 57:57Speaker 10: that have these enormous implants, like I saw one of
- 58:00Speaker 10: their Kardashians and these implants are up by her clavigals, by.
- 58:04Speaker 3: Her collar bone.
- 58:05Speaker 10: That's crazy. That would be considered a complication in cosmetic surgery.
- 58:10Speaker 10: And yet I've had people ask me to put implants
- 58:13Speaker 10: that way. I say, I can't do that, that's wrong,
- 58:15Speaker 10: and they say, well, the celebrities have it that way.
- 58:18Speaker 10: It's like, oh my goodness. You know, so now we're
- 58:21Speaker 10: redefining what beauty is based on. You know, this group
- 58:24Speaker 10: of people from California who who had bad cosmetic surgery,
- 58:28Speaker 10: but you know, everybody sees it.
- 58:30Speaker 3: It's crazy. Yeah, that we're talking with doctor Arthur Perry
- 58:32Speaker 3: he's a great plastic surgeon. But there are bad ones.
- 58:35Speaker 3: So I see people I know they had a facelift,
- 58:37Speaker 3: and they look phenomenal, They looked so natural. Then you
- 58:39Speaker 3: see the other ones who looks tight and plastic and
- 58:42Speaker 3: like muppets, like Boca ratan facelift. Well, how do you
- 58:45Speaker 3: avoid that? How do you know you're not going to
- 58:47Speaker 3: get that?
- 58:47Speaker 10: You know there's artistry in this. You know, we can
- 58:49Speaker 10: teach plastic surgeons how to operate, we can teach you
- 58:52Speaker 10: how to be good doctors, but the artistry, the artistry
- 58:56Speaker 10: is very difficult to teach. You know, either you're an
- 58:58Speaker 10: artist or you're not. It doesn't take much to pull
- 59:02Speaker 10: a little bit too tight and you look funny. And
- 59:05Speaker 10: you know that's the hardest part to teach. I teach
- 59:07Speaker 10: over at Colombian Cornell at the Plastic Surgery Residency Program,
- 59:11Speaker 10: and and you know that it's like ethics, How can
- 59:14Speaker 10: you teach ethics? Very difficult? Your mother has to teach that.
- 59:17Speaker 10: And artistry that's almost innate.
- 59:19Speaker 3: You can learn it.
- 59:20Speaker 10: But and that's where you know, defining the plastic surgeon
- 59:24Speaker 10: a good or a great one, it's the ability to
- 59:27Speaker 10: create art with you as the media.
- 59:30Speaker 3: You got to have the hands. Guys. Hey, that's another thing.
- 59:33Speaker 3: If you get in botox, everybody does it now. Do
- 59:35Speaker 3: not go to the hairdresser or the dentist for botox, right.
- 59:38Speaker 3: Make sure it's a plastic surgeon who knows what he's doing.
- 59:41Speaker 10: And beware of the really inexpensive botox because there's fake
- 59:45Speaker 10: stuff out there. There's there is you know, gray market
- 59:48Speaker 10: that means it comes from other countries. You have no
- 59:50Speaker 10: idea what it really is. You have to be careful.
- 59:52Speaker 10: You know, if botox costs six hundred dollars a vile,
- 59:55Speaker 10: how is it that these storefront places are charging two
- 59:59Speaker 10: or three hundred. You know, something's wrong.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: And it's easier now to do plastic search right than
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: like thirty years ago. The equipment's better, the techniques are better, right.
- 1:00:10Speaker 10: Well, there's absolutely there's refined techniques, you know, we you know,
- 1:00:13Speaker 10: surgical techniques are are certainly better out. For instance, the
- 1:00:16Speaker 10: facelift that you want so much before. You know, ten
- 1:00:20Speaker 10: fifteen years ago, we had to make incisions way up
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: into the hairline. Now we don't have to do that anymore.
- 1:00:25Speaker 10: We figured out ways. It's a little harder for the
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: plastic surgeon, but better for you facelift.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: It's not for me, it's for a friend. Oz oh, okay,
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: but take a look that would be Now what do
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: I do? My necks a little saggy, all right, So
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: for men it's different. So for you, I could suction
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: out that fat. Okay, let me turn to the sidemark.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: You know your chin is good, so we don't need that.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: So we suction it out and we bring those muscles together.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Remember Catherine Hepburn.
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: You know those bands in the neck, Yeah, bring those together,
- 1:00:53Speaker 10: and the tighter we bring those. Then you know your
- 1:00:56Speaker 10: neck looks slimmer and better. So that's it.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: You put a whole and they know it's put a small.
- 1:01:02Speaker 10: Incision under the chin mark. There's no although although there
- 1:01:06Speaker 10: is a method for men where we actually do just
- 1:01:09Speaker 10: excize that skin. That's a simpler way. I might have
- 1:01:11Speaker 10: that myself. You know, it's one of these just take
- 1:01:14Speaker 10: out that skin right there and place an incision in
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: the middle. Not good for women, but it works in men,
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: particularly if you don't want a bigger procedure, it's a
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: smaller proceed How long does that take, that's a little
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: under two hours. How you don't want the surgeon to rush.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Two weeks of recovery.
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: Everything is about two weeks. Although if you're just doing
- 1:01:31Speaker 10: the neck with turtlenecks, maybe a scarf as it's getting
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: warmer or older out there rather, Yeah, you could probably
- 1:01:38Speaker 10: hide earlier. You could probably pull it off in about
- 1:01:40Speaker 10: a week. And you know what, Mark w R. Will
- 1:01:43Speaker 10: set up the studio in your home. You know, you
- 1:01:45Speaker 10: just there you go, the little comrades you'd broadcast three
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: days later. What do you say, listeners, tell, tell, We'll
- 1:01:53Speaker 10: get Mark to do it.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: But you know, they just banned North Korea has banned surgery.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: Yeah, it's not something, it's it's a it must be
- 1:02:03Speaker 10: good if they banned oh my goodness. Yah, breast augmentations, facelifts.
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: Can't do it because it goes against the socialist agenda.
- 1:02:11Speaker 10: That's what what's his name, Kim John.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: Kim Jong Moon.
- 1:02:15Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, so I guess if you want cosmetic surgery,
- 1:02:17Speaker 10: don't do it in North Korea, although South Korea very popular.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Mark. Well, now, if you need anything anything, we do
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: recommend doctor Arthur Perry. It's go to your website.
- 1:02:28Speaker 10: Yep, Perry Plastic Surgery dot com.

- 1:03:23Speaker 3: show on WR. Well, didty was supposed to be sentenced
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: this morning? Apparently it's Teken forever. We don't know what's
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: going to happen yet, prosecutors want eleven years. He wants
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: time served fourteen months. Now, apparently that stuff being said
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: at the trial. The judge has been pretty clear that
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: he thinks this guy did horrible things, and the prosecutor,
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: pointing out ditty has speaking events booked for next week,
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: the prosecutor telling the judge, your honor, this is the
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: height of arrogance. You're sentencing of the day. He booked
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: events for next week. So yeah, it does look pretty bad.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: So it'll happen at some point today they'll announce the sentencing. Hey,
