Transcript
- 0:04Happy, happy Thursday morning, everybody.
- 0:08I had to remember what day it was.
- 0:11So we race dirt tomorrow at Tri-City Speedway, Granite City,
- 0:17IL Super excited about that. And then Saturday at Kenny
- 0:21Schrader's I-55 Raceway, I was Herman, clean your stuff up.
- 0:29What's that doing there from a winter?
- 0:32You got a crooked gutter, all right, Subject of the day.
- 0:38I was riding to Mount Carmel, IL yesterday and listened to the
- 0:45SiriusXM, and I got to thinking about this guy this morning.
- 0:50He was so upset, he said where in the world did front Row
- 0:56Motorsports get their money to buy that that charter already,
- 1:01or as I call it, a franchise. So in the news yesterday, well,
- 1:06the demise of NASCAR was was greatly exaggerated.
- 1:10NASCAR's failing, Tony Stewart quit, That's four teams gone.
- 1:15I said, hold on. You know, I did in one of my
- 1:19coffee and Kenny's I said those they will sell those things so
- 1:23fast. You're ahead of spin.
- 1:25People are lined up to get in the NASCAR Cup Series.
- 1:28They just waiting for the right time.
- 1:31So yesterday it was announced that Front Row Motorsports has
- 1:34already bought a charter. So remember the coffee, Kenny,
- 1:39you know the coffee with Kenny. I did.
- 1:41I said well, it it begs now how much?
- 1:44How much are they going to pay for it?
- 1:46Does does the first guy, you know, pay 20 million and then
- 1:51the next one pay 15, then the next 1-10, you know, it was
- 1:55like, do you sell them all at the same time?
- 1:58Does Honda come in and swoop them all up So Front Row
- 2:04Motorsports buys one right away. Now this, this is about money.
- 2:10This is about money. So people get pissed off when
- 2:14you have money. You know, my mom had taught me
- 2:16years ago, don't talk about money or religion or even
- 2:20politics when you have money and other people don't.
- 2:25They want your damn money. They're like, give me your money
- 2:29even though they didn't earn it, they didn't work for or they're
- 2:32early in their life and they're roughed up.
- 2:35So the subject of the day is where did Front Row Motorsports
- 2:40get their millions of dollars because they're known as a lower
- 2:43tier team. How did they get their money?
- 2:48Well, let me aggravate you a little bit.
- 2:50Let me keep you on the the gutter.
- 2:54So have you heard Jeff Gordon? Have you heard Denny Hamlin?
- 3:00They say we can't make money, as Darrell Walters say.
- 3:05Let me explain that to you. So Rick Hendrick, one of the
- 3:09wealthiest men in America, because he sells a lot of cars.
- 3:14He's got his dealerships now his dealerships make money.
- 3:19However, racing doesn't. What if racing doesn't make
- 3:24money? How do you make money?
- 3:27That that's that's that's the subject at hand.
- 3:29I'm going to explain that you don't make money racing.
- 3:33What you do is love of the sport.
- 3:35If you ever wondered why Rodger Penske, Rick Hendrick, do you?
- 3:38Have you ever wondered why Jennifer and Richard Marshall
- 3:42with the World of Outlaws and High Limit Racing?
- 3:44Jennifer, she'll, she'll give a tutorial, a lesson.
- 3:48She'll give you a lesson because she understands money.
- 3:51So wealthy people in racing, they love the sport.
- 3:57They create all these race teams and they give all of you a job.
- 4:01So you're very thankful for these wealthy people having
- 4:03great businesses. Jennifer and Richard, they're in
- 4:09the oil industry. Remember, they run high limit,
- 4:12they run World of Outlaws, So they're in the oil industry.
- 4:16Rodger Penske, you know, Rick Hendrick, they sell cars.
- 4:23You look at, you know, let's look at, let's look at Jack
- 4:27Roush. What?
- 4:28Where the Hell's Jack Roush get all his money?
- 4:30Well, he, he designs things, he's a builder.
- 4:32He designs parts and cars for Ford Motorsport.
- 4:36So it's like, where's, where does Jack Roush get all his
- 4:39money? Well, he, he designs and makes
- 4:41things for Ford. He's a brilliant man.
- 4:46So when Jeff Gordon or like, OK, let's go with Front Row
- 4:51Motorsports, where do they get all their money?
- 4:53Well, it certainly ain't racing. The man does something else to
- 4:57makes that makes millions of dollars.
- 5:01You know, just because you got $1,000,000 don't mean you're
- 5:04worth $500 million. There's a big difference between
- 5:08having about 7 million. Some people have $7,000,000,
- 5:12some people have $500 million. So when Jeff Gordon and Denny
- 5:19Hamlin say we can't make any money racing, that's what the
- 5:24hell they mean. That means they can't make money
- 5:28in racing and their car owner and their sponsorships are
- 5:32making it up. Where do they get their money?
- 5:36Well, you look at Michael Jordan and then all the sponsors they
- 5:40get from Michael Jordan being Michael Jordan.
- 5:44Where does Joe Gibbs get all his money?
- 5:46Well, he's one of the most famous football coaches of all
- 5:49time. He's he's won the Super Bowl
- 5:52many times and he was able to get sponsorship through all his
- 5:55connections, Interstate batteries and M and Ms. and
- 5:59things like that. So money and greed is what this
- 6:03is about. Give me your money, dammit.
- 6:06So the man on SiriusXM, I'm going back to him.
- 6:09He was a little pissed. Where did where did front Row
- 6:14Motorsports get their money? Because he's assuming they're
- 6:17poor. They're not poor.
- 6:20They just don't have the $500 million like the Rick Hendrick
- 6:23or the OR the, you know, Penske and and all those high end
- 6:30teams. MO money gets you better
- 6:36engineers, better pit crew members because you can weed
- 6:40through them all. So when I say you can't make
- 6:44money racing, there's also a business model where you rotate
- 6:49money and you say, Herman, what the hell you talking about?
- 6:51Well, let's say who you work for right now, Like who do you work
- 6:56for, right? Do they make money or do they
- 6:58rotate payroll? I know people that make money
- 7:02and then the money they make, they give it all the employees.
- 7:05They it's called payroll, right? You work for a living and then
- 7:10all of a sudden, let's say they made $10,000 that month.
- 7:15Well, they made it. Now they got to give it all to
- 7:17you. All right?
- 7:18So when they make payroll, they might have made $1000.
- 7:22I know, hey, listen, I know what I'm talking about.
- 7:24Respond right here. Like subscribe.
- 7:27I know dirt tracks that that have employees and they go, OK,
- 7:30we worked our ass off all week long and we only, we only make
- 7:34$2700. I know a racetrack that does
- 7:37that. But but, but here's the problem
- 7:40before you start yapping that mouth, dirt tracks are only work
- 7:45open like 20 weeks. They start April and then they
- 7:48got to close down in August so that they're like the lake.
- 7:52You know, a lake can only open so long.
- 7:55So these tracks, they got to hit it while they can because they
- 7:59cannot operate. They cannot operate, you know,
- 8:03all year long. So once again, Jeff Gordon,
- 8:09Danny Hamlin, we can't make money in racing, right?
- 8:13You cannot make money in racing because it doesn't pay enough.
- 8:18So you got to go get sponsorship or your car owner has to make up
- 8:22for it. So hopefully a little business
- 8:27lesson this morning. We're in front row Motorsports
- 8:29get all our money. Well, the man's probably got a
- 8:32business that that's where they got the money or they went and
- 8:35borrowed the money because they got a sponsor that's going to
- 8:38start that third team. All right, listen, like
- 8:43subscribe right here. People been sending me their
- 8:48coffee cups. Remember this Sunday, Worldwide
- 8:51Technology Raceway, NASCAR coming to town, baby.
- 8:55All right, tell me how dumb I am.
