- 7evenThirty: Willie We do not support AI reconstruction of dead celebrities' voices unless PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: they are approved by the estate. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. So Carlton, Karlton T. Clay: Yo. PropJosh: you weren't here for our podcast episode of Why'd I Get Married Again, so but we hear that you have thoughts about the movie. What are your thoughts of Why'd I Get Married Part three? Karlton T. Clay: So I always like to preface my critiques. But I want to say Tyler Perry is an amazing businessman, and I love what he's done for the black community. I always try to go PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: with the positive first before I go into where I'm about to go. so I appreciate you, Tyler Perry, for what you've done for our race and for our community and keeping us employed. Thank you so much, black man. We appreciate you. Tell the Perry, I wish I don't know if he does this or not, and I wish he would do this. I need him to go back and watch things that he watched that he writes previously before he does sequels. Like, PropJosh: yeah, I agree. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: that needs to happen because the my issue with why I get married again, part three, whatever you want to call it, is the continuity is so off that it throws me off as a writer. I can't I it's like I'm just like I can't get into the story because the continuity makes no sense. I don't know if people know this, but There's a series a TV series, for better or for worse, that focused on Marcus and Angela. This that PropJosh: I heard about that. Karlton T. Clay: can that came out after While I Get Married too. Or Why I Get Married, you know, whatever. So PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: in that series, and I didn't watch the series regularly, but in that series, either Marcus and Angela was like divorced or they was really on their way to get divorced. So they were not in a good space on the series. 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: And we get here to why I get married again. And again, it's been a minute since the T see the T V series and the the movie, but the continuity is just not there and there's no explanation to how do we get back into this good space of y'all being all in love. And also too, I just want to say, I feel like if y'all are still arguing about the same stuff in your relationship 30, 40, 50 years later, like what are we doing? Like, where's the growth? Where's the growth? And also I w with that being said, this Randall Tyler Perry character having affairs. He said he had PropJosh: Ha ha ha! Karlton T. Clay: affairs. No, you didn't. You did not. You did not. You did not. 7evenThirty: Right. That never happened. That didn't that PropJosh: Hm. 7evenThirty: didn't happen in the same way that Mike never put his hands on Sheila. Karlton T. Clay: Agreed. I that was definitely put de Yeah. And and that's why number two and 7evenThirty: That came out of nowhere on on part two. They was just like, yeah, and you beat me till I was bleeding on the floor. It's like, no, you didn't. Karlton T. Clay: that's why number two is horrible. They he Tyler Perry and we talked about this already before. Tyler Perry ruined these characters in part two. PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: He ruined all the characters in part two. So it's like now we get to part three and li and it's like it doesn't make sense that Mike is still in this friend group. Like I it doesn't make any sense. Whatsoever. And why is Sheila And sh what's the husband of Troy or whatever? Why are they calling him Uncle Mike? PropJosh: Yeah. Right, right. 7evenThirty: Why? Why? PropJosh: Why is their son Denver calling him Uncle Mike? 7evenThirty: My kid my kids would not be calling Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: that nigga no uncle nothing. They knew like Karlton T. Clay: That makes it just makes no sense. 7evenThirty: especially if part two suddenly he was physically abusive too. Like ain't no way you wouldn't have no relationship with this dude. Karlton T. Clay: And and and not to say again, like, cause from our understanding, it was just verbal and emotional and mental, which is also is obviously still bad. I'm not saying it's not bad. It's all still bad. 7evenThirty: Right, right. PropJosh: Right, right. Karlton T. Clay: But it it's like Tyler Perry took it to the extreme, like, you punched me all the way, bleed on to the floor, my teeth was knocked out. And it's like, no, 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: we no, we didn't have to go that far. And if you're gonna go that far, then Mike should no longer be a part of this group. Point blank, period. And also, again, the consistency about the kids like with with Angela and and Marcus's kids, it's like w like I s I st I'm still confused. Also with the movie, they didn't do a good job introducing the children. Because they're all they're all the adults now. And it's like I was con I was all throughout the movie I was trying to figure out who belongs to who. So PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: it did they didn't do a good job with that. I PropJosh: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: feel like with Taraji's hand Taraji Pin Hens's character, I feel like she should not have been in the fan group. She should have just been the mother Of the f of the fiance. That's it. She didn't have to be it didn't there didn't there need to be a connected 7evenThirty: I see what you mean. Karlton T. Clay: history. 7evenThirty: It they didn't have to I I see what you mean. I ain't considered that. They could have you're right. Karlton T. Clay: There was no point. There was no point. 7evenThirty: There was no point in them shoving it into where they was like, girl, we best friend. Like that didn't that actually wasn't needed. PropJosh: No, it wasn't. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: No, it wasn't. Not at all. We had enough we had enough story between her and her son that 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: we didn't need to try to force this whole situation with with her well she used to be a part of a friend group, but she d went and did her own thing and blah de blah. That wasn't needed. It wasn't needed. Like 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: I said, it's obvious they was trying to fill the janet hole. It PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: was it was obvious. I mean 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Fill the Janet hole. Karlton T. Clay: That's it. I'm trying to think what other thoughts I have. My my my main gripe though is is always story. Like again, I'm I'm a writer at heart. People know that. And it's like if I can't follow the consistency of your story, you're gonna lose me. And I'm gonna complain. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: I'm gonna complain. I will say though, PropJosh: Yeah, that that bothered me too. Karlton T. Clay: everybody everybody looked great. Everybody look I mean everybody looks looked amazing. So but PropJosh: Yeah, yeah, they did. 7evenThirty: Right, yeah. Everybody looked great. Right. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: just the story's where it lost me. And then when we get to the end, when Tyler W does the Tyler thing and he likes to do these preachy things at the end of the movie. Like this is a theater production. And it's like, no, sir, we don't need that. We don't need that. That's not necessary. When they all when it when they all at w huh. yeah. 7evenThirty: Wait, what which part? You talking about the your favorite part, Josh? Where they were lined up together till an PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Telling the story one by one by one. That never happens in real life. Karlton T. Clay: Apparently everybody done been everybody done cheated, everybody done did this, that and the third, everybody done gave everybody a disease. I'm not saying no PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: I'm not standing no marriage and you gave me a disease. What are we doing? And what are we and and PropJosh: Yeah, I saw several videos that said those two kids should have not gotten married at the end of that movie. Karlton T. Clay: No, absolutely not. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: And also right. 7evenThirty: Even if they chose to stay in a relationship, they could have been like, yo, let's push this shit back. We can work on ourselves. And that Karlton T. Clay: Right. Right. 7evenThirty: that would have been a that would have been PropJosh: That's what should have happened. 7evenThirty: acceptable. Karlton T. Clay: And I think again, PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Tyler goes so much for the dramatics of it all. Like that whole thing where we were still trying to figure out why the couple was fighting, that was so stupid. It was like like they made it seem like he was hitting her and it was like that wasn't even the case. It was just it was too much of you trying 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: to go for the shock factor that you missed the mark. also I want to say this is the last thing I gotta say about the movie. I don't like the fact that we preach that struggle love is okay. 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: I don't like I I don't I'm not here for struggle of I'm not saying you're not gonna have problems in your marriage. I'm not gonna say you have problems in your relationship because no marriage or relationship is perfect. You all go through the ups and downs, I get it. But for you to suggest, yo, you can give me a S T D, but I'm gonna stay with it. Like, no, like that's not I'm not with that. And it's like y'all arguing about the same thing and not gr progressing for fifteen years. You still arguing about you cheating on me fifteen years ago, like I don't I don't agree with I just don't agree with that. Like it's like, yeah, you got 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: you gotta stick with it no matter what. It doesn't matter if he cheats 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: on you with six, seven different women and have five kids, you stay in that marriage, girl. You know what I'm saying? It's like 7evenThirty: Right. And that's that is a that is a one of those toxic kind of old school way of thinking, you know what I mean? Like Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: like a lot of that's real with like in our community, like you know, women staying with very unsafe and toxic men just cause, you know what I'm saying? Like Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: yeah. Karlton T. Clay: I just like I said, I just think I think we just could have stopped that why did I get married? PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Yeah. That is true. Yeah, that's true. Karlton T. Clay: Really think we could have. I think that was a I think that was a great mark. It was a great movie. It had a great message. And I think we were fine with the first one and that was it. And I just don't feel like and I I for what I heard in the Tyler Perry verse, he might be right in a fourth one. I was like, Why? Why? PropJosh: Of course he would. Of course he would. Of course. Why did I write this fourth movie? Well, I Karlton T. Clay: Jesus. Mm. PropJosh: had I mean, like that bothered me too, when he he reveals his character Terry says he had multiple one night stands. I was like, I was like, what the fuck? What one thing I liked about Terry and what was his wife's Karlton T. Clay: Diane. PropJosh: name, Diane, was that they had problems, but it wasn't that big of a problem. It was like she was Yeah, she was liking another guy, but she didn't but it was like on the way, not actually having sex with him or anything like that. And and he 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: but suddenly it's like she had an affair and he had multiple nights 7evenThirty: Yeah, she had a full on affair, yeah. PropJosh: Yeah, he had multiple multiple one night stands. Like what Karlton T. Clay: Multiple one eye stands. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: that come from? That's not what I 7evenThirty: Hehehe. PropJosh: got from after watching the second movie. 7evenThirty: And and that's not even in his character. That don't seem like nothing in his character. He didn't cheat with that fine PropJosh: Right, it wasn't in his character. He just it's like he tagged it on. Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: ass assistant he had. He had we had nothing to worry about with Terry. He wasn't finna be stepping out on with multiple women, one nice thing. No. No. PropJosh: But you wanted to add that in, like, well, I don't want to look like I'm the good one or something. I want to look bad. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Cause if that's the case, Karlton T. Clay: gosh. PropJosh: then then that means Sheila and Troy were the only good couple there. Cause like they were fine and but you know, Troy was of course struggling in the second movie, but I never thought Troy was a bad character. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Right. PropJosh: He just he ended up getting over himself. 7evenThirty: I think Troy in the second one. Yeah, I think Troy in the second Troy is Sheila's husband, Officer Hansel, right? All PropJosh: Right. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: right. So Troy in the second movie, I think he was mainly just frustrated with his financial situation, his decision to move and le you know, leave 'cause he had a store or something back home, right? PropJosh: Yeah, yeah, he pretty much owned that whole town. 7evenThirty: And he left and you know, to for the for Atlanta and all that and then, you know, he was just kinda struggling with his decision and then that made him kinda lash out throughout the movie. PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: That's it, that's the biggest Karlton T. Clay: Also and right, and also it didn't help that Sheila was also taking care of her ex husband, so that 7evenThirty: Taken care of Karlton T. Clay: yeah. 7evenThirty: and that added PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: to the frustration. So, you know, even even even Troy's, you know, shortcomings in that movie was completely warranted and understandable. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: You know what I'm saying? Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: huh. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: But that's it. That's all I got. 7evenThirty: Good observations. I mean it's like, PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: yeah, yeah, yeah. All that is true. All that those are all true. PropJosh: Yeah. I see your points. Well 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: well, speaking of Tyler Perry. 7evenThirty: Speaking of needless speaking of PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: speaking of needless plot thickening devices and plot holes and character Karlton T. Clay: Also, speaking of not going back to watch what you wrote before and then adding new things PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: that make no sense, what are we talking about this time? 7evenThirty: Hee PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: Play the music right there. PropJosh: Hey Brian, exactly. We 7evenThirty: Yes, yes. PropJosh: talking about Beauty in Black season three Karlton T. Clay: Quest is 7evenThirty: That should be the title of this episode. Question mark. Karlton T. Clay: Question mark. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Because Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha ha. PropJosh: it's hard to keep up. Because he keeps doing his part one, part two shit. It's like, man, it's so hard to keep up. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: let's introduce ourselves. I am Josh, aka prop Josh, and I am joined by Marcus, aka 730. 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah. PropJosh: And returning guests, Carlton T. Clay, aka. Karlton T. Clay: Yo, what up, peeps? PropJosh: AKA that dude. Karlton T. Clay: Okay, I'll tell you that. I'll tell you that. Ha ha. 7evenThirty: The the man of many hats, man. PropJosh: So Yeah, yeah. So yeah, let's just jump into it right now, man. We we we already y'all already know our our feelings of the last season and stuff. We, you know, this podcast episodes of that. We talk about We talk about this show so damn much. 7evenThirty: Got to. PropJosh: There are multiple episodes. I think we talked about this show the most out of any other show. We literally cover every season. 7evenThirty: This show, this show comes up when we ain't even talking about this show. PropJosh: So let's jump into spoilers. So I got into the notes like listed by characters as usual and stuff. And I added something different, Mark. If I don't know if you saw, I added highlights. 7evenThirty: shit, hold on, let me pull these notes up. PropJosh: Yeah, I added like highlights of the season, like certain things that stood out. Karlton T. Clay: glad you did that 'cause I ain't trying to be funny. It's been a minute since I watched it and I was trying to remember the only thing I'm I'm c w not to get ahead. I'm not getting ahead I'm not gonna say nothing, but the only thing there's one thing on this list that I remember and I was like, it's ridiculous. It makes no sense. But yeah. I'm I'm glad you I'm glad you did this. 7evenThirty: Hmm. PropJosh: I'm wondering what it is. I wanna 'cause it's it's some stuff that some s choices in the show that happen, I'm like, what? Karlton T. Clay: And 7evenThirty: Okay. Karlton T. Clay: and and can I say, because again, before we really get into it, this was initially supposed to be the last season of this show before they got renewed for season four. Because originally PropJosh: Mm. 7evenThirty: Okay. Karlton T. Clay: it was just gonna be seas this three seasons. And I just wanna say, if this was supposed to be it, I would have been pissed off. Like PropJosh: of course. Karlton T. Clay: immediately pissed off the way that this ended. I was like, to d okay, here's nothing. Sorry. First of all, I to say Tyler Perry, you're an amazing man. And I feel like thank you so much 7evenThirty: Ha ha Karlton T. Clay: for what you have done. Thank you, thank you so much for PropJosh: He's a frequent listener to this podcast. Karlton T. Clay: what you've done for our race. Thank you for keeping us employed. Thank you for showing fresh faces on the screen. We appreciate you. Thank you so much, Tyler Perry. The thing that pisses me off about Tyler Perry, he does not know how to end the show. I just got I I'm about to switch gears real quick, real quick. I just got done watching the last episode of the Oval. And I was like, this it? Like the it's the last up like the series finale of the over. And I'm like, you really like, did you just get tired? It was like I'm not doing this no more. Like what what 7evenThirty: Is that the one about the lady from Mississippi? Karlton T. Clay: The lady from Mississippi. 7evenThirty: The Tyler Perry show? Karlton T. Clay: I don't know. I don't no, it's about the White House, the the president. 7evenThirty: okay, okay. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, she you got a show about Lady from Mississippi? 7evenThirty: Well, it's a political show and I don't I don't watch any of his shows, so that's what I thought you were talking about. Karlton T. Clay: I know you're talking about I don't I I know what you're talking about you don't want you talking about the one with Terry Javon. No, that's what got canceled. Yeah, that that got cancelled. 7evenThirty: Yeah. okay, okay, okay. Karlton T. Clay: But no, the oval's been on for seven seasons and then like they ended. It was just n it was really no resolve. It was like, that's it. So 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: I bring it back home to say if this is supposed to be the last season of Beauty and Black, I need Tyler Perry to work on his series finale writing 'cause that's like you just can't just stop it. Like, I'm just tired and I'm just done. You know what I'm saying? So yeah, if if this would if this was supposed to be the end then d nobody w I don't think anybody would have been happy at all. PropJosh: Yeah, the last season should have been the last season. The way it ended the way the last season ended felt like that should have ended. And then, yeah, 7evenThirty: Right. Right. The way the last one ended was perfect. Right. PropJosh: this show is gonna go on forever because I realize this is a soap opera. I saw that Netflix labeled it a soap opera. And I'm like, yeah, this is man, soap operas 7evenThirty: Mm. Soap operas, people come back from the dead and everything. PropJosh: and soap operas don't end. Karlton T. Clay: That's right. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: And I'm like, this is a soap opera. This might go on for another five years for real. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: That so i yeah, it'll keep getting renewed because it keeps getting number one, you know, it's yeah, it's gonna go on forever. So none of these characters are gonna die. Yeah, let's let's talk about this. Do you see the notes, Mark? 7evenThirty: No. Not the updated one. PropJosh: let me see if I could maybe I should email it to you. 7evenThirty: Drop it in a chat. PropJosh: Let me see if I can type or something. Let's see if you can get it. I'm typing right now. okay, okay. I don't know why it does 7evenThirty: Okay, now suddenly it updated. I see all the notes now. PropJosh: that. Yeah, so alright, cool. So you can scroll down and see the yeah, the highlights. 7evenThirty: I see everything, yeah. Mm-hmm. PropJosh: So yeah, let's go through these highlights. Yes, of course. 7evenThirty: Can I can I speak on this without okay, so When me and Tori was sitting up here, she don't necessarily be watching it, but she be sitting here while I'm watching it. You see what I'm saying? So she don't be like paying attention like that, but she'll be in the room while I'm watching it. And there's a scene on the show where it ends the the episode ends, right? With isn't it like PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: episode three? Is episode three or two at the end of PropJosh: Maybe two. I think it's episode two. 7evenThirty: At the end of the episode, because Charles was talking to wasn't he talking to his father or something before this happened? Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: He was talking to PropJosh: Think maybe. 7evenThirty: he was talking to his father, and his father like went off on him on some extreme homophobic shit. Isn't that that scene where he was like all in his face? PropJosh: Hmm. Karlton T. Clay: I know he's talking to his dad. I don't remember what the conversation 7evenThirty: So many of these scenes are the see, that's how the show works. So many of these scenes are the same that you can't really distinguish one from the other. And so Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: Yeah. That's that's a soap opera for you. Well, I remember Horace being in the office and he was mad at Varney for having a an 7evenThirty: Yeah. Right. PropJosh: having a relationship with Charles. Yeah. So maybe is that? 7evenThirty: With his son. Right. That's what I'm talking about. And then he got in Charles' face. Yeah, that's what it was I think it was immediately after that scene because cause he went off on Charles like real bad in that scene. And then Charles got unusually quiet. And then the next the way the show ended was Charles was hang he had hung himself and he's like hanging there. And it's like shit, and the music happened. When that part happened This is Marcus's lawyer. I don't Mar Marcus doesn't Support. Do you know I'm not, you know, I'm not on that. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, take it, take it your life like that. You know what I'm saying? But PropJosh: Of course. 7evenThirty: Marcus, but man, like I ran around the room screaming and hollering when that shit happened. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: I was like, they finally killed this character. It's like I was waiting on them to kill, because he was my least favorite character. And I was so excited about him being killed off the show. I ain't matter. It didn't matter to me how it was done. I was just so elated. I was like, shit, he's killing the characters off. This is the last season. You know what I'm saying? Cause I'm getting flashbacks from what's the have and have nots. You remember Karlton T. Clay: Mm mm. 7evenThirty: he went crazy on that last season and just start killing all the characters off. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. Yep. 7evenThirty: So I'm like, shit, it's going down. It's my my my shit. I've been waiting on this. And then the next episode comes on. PropJosh: Ha ha. 7evenThirty: And he's not dead. I was so disappointed that he was still alive. PropJosh: So I had the opposite reaction of you. I had the opposite reaction. When I saw Charles hanging there, I said, This dude ain't dead. 7evenThirty: Man, I was so happy. I was like, like I say, I'm I wouldn't, you know, I don't like the idea of somebody hanging themselves. I'm just saying, the character being killed off the show is what I was excited about. PropJosh: As character, you know, character. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. Yeah. I well, I I the opposite, actually Charles is actually my favorite character. So I was 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: sad that he was gonna be off the show. However, I was happy as a writer that we're finally moving forward with something. That's a plot 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: point. You know what I'm saying? Okay, we finally killed a left-man character, we can move forward with this story. And then of 7evenThirty: That's what I was mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: and then in Tyler Perry fashion No, we're gonna save him because we gotta keep everybody employed. PropJosh: So, alright, because we might be jumping all over the place. We might want to have to with this show. That's not Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: how I felt with Charles, but this is jumping ahead how I felt when Charles shoots Horace. I was like, shit! I was like, we're finally kicking off a main character. shit. 7evenThirty: man, I was so happy. I was so happy when he shot. I said yes. I was so happy to see him shoot him. I was like, shit. PropJosh: I screamed, I was like, Karlton T. Clay: And so yeah, I I 7evenThirty: May I scre I holler Karlton T. Clay: I did too. I scream 7evenThirty: with that hell. Karlton T. Clay: I screamed, but then I was I was like again. I was like, yes, because we're gonna finally have a plot point. Okay, so what are we gonna do now that he's dead? What are we gonna do? 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Right. PropJosh: Exactly. Yeah. Right. Karlton T. Clay: And then here we go. It's it's a a a a a dream sequence. I'm like, come on, come on. 7evenThirty: It was just a dream sequence. Right. Right. But the worst one though. I know it's kind of jumping around, but I gotta get to it when everybody on this show got superpowers. Everybody on this show is a goddamn Didn't we decide this the last time we talked about this? Didn't we decide this is a sci-fi? About mutants? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They PropJosh: man, yeah, we used to say it was just Roy. Everybody. Yeah, we said this. Yeah, this is 100% a sci-fi. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yes, yes, yes. 7evenThirty: all mutants. They all mutants with healing facts. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, this is it's T Man. T man. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: Ha ha ha Karlton T. Clay: Tyler Tyler Perry man. The T Man. PropJosh: The T Man. 7evenThirty: The the team To me, my teammate. Hehehehehe PropJosh: I mean might as well be. Karlton T. Clay: Hmm. 7evenThirty: Yeah. No They we got Deadpool, Wolverine, all up in here, PropJosh: What? 7evenThirty: man. Yeah, yeah, that's right. okay, yeah, so Wait, Horace got Kimmy hooked. What? What what's that? PropJosh: she she's all into horse now. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, she likes horse now because he gave it to her. Like he gave her that D and now she's like fiending for it. 7evenThirty: yeah, yeah, yeah. What ch what you think about that? That scene. Karlton T. Clay: I didn't really think anything of it. It was just like okay. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: It was to me, it kind of came out of nowhere. Like there was nowhere in this character that even said. He was remotely interested. In women at all. Karlton T. Clay: So I did some research on that. I read an interview because you notice that they don't ever show like his sex scenes. Like, so that scene in particular, 7evenThirty: Mm-mm. Karlton T. Clay: they didn't show because everybody else they just in it. But they they didn't show PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: that particular once. I read that 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: because he's married in real life, and I read that his wife, especially with the the scene that you know the same sex scenes, like with the with Agewill and stuff. He he has there's certain things that he cannot do. He has he he agreed he agreed 7evenThirty: I feel it. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: that he agreed with his wife that he wouldn't do on the show. So that's why 7evenThirty: I feel it. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: there's certain things that we don't see but it's mentioned off camera. So PropJosh: Mm, okay. 7evenThirty: But it's like I feel like they didn't even mention it though like that. About about Karlton T. Clay: But see, 7evenThirty: Horace. Karlton T. Clay: right. And so what I think I well, this is what I'm thinking. This is just me again, this is not facts. This is just me just put some stuff together. I think that was added to make it 'cause the to make his character not completely gay. So he was like, All right, 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: well let's go ahead and try to add this in there so that way it's just 'cause like you said again, it just I felt I'm with you. It just only felt like he had the kids out of convenience because that's what you did back in the day. You know, I get married 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: He had the kids, da da da da. But 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: as far as I actually the way he put it on Kimmy, like I'm about to show you that I'm really a man and da da da da. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: It's like that was like added in there when that wasn't establ that wasn't 7evenThirty: That was so added in, man. PropJosh: Yeah, it was. Karlton T. Clay: established in the beginning. You know what I'm saying? So it's like once again, Tyler Perry does not go back and watch what he writes. 7evenThirty: It wasn't established that he even had it like that physically, because it's Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: been so focused on him not being physically capable of too much. And Karlton T. Clay: Right. Right. 7evenThirty: now all of a sudden he just mandingo warrior PropJosh: Ha ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: in the bed. It's like, come on, man. That that Karlton T. Clay: And yeah, yeah, and and obviously he slept with multiple women apparently on this now. He's done this multiple times 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: now and multiple women have gotten addicted to him and all this other stuff. I'm like, 7evenThirty: Right. See that's why PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: that's why I didn't wanna do it to you. 'Cause they'd be getting addicted, like, come on man, where'd this come from? Where'd this pimp come from? Like all of a sudden he the biggest pimp in town. Like Yeah, that was hilarious. Karlton T. Clay: No key wishy would have just died of cancer. 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah, I feel you. Yeah. Because it would have moved the story along. Karlton T. Clay: Honestly, I just kinda wish you would just an a Yeah. PropJosh: It would have, yeah, yeah. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Right. PropJosh: I mean, I do like Horace as a villain kind of character because he's kinda he kind of showed I guess because he got better, because he got cured of cancer, it kind of showed that he's an evil person himself as well. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, he's definitely evil. He 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: be talking to people real crazy. You're not talking to me like that, old man. No no 7evenThirty: He be talking to people real crazy. Karlton T. Clay: no real real crazy. All right, you got one more time before I 7evenThirty: Ha ha Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: Right. I okay if you got a cane on man. You gotta shut that mouth. Karlton T. Clay: God. PropJosh: So it's I kind of like that though. It's like you see, like, you get a glimpse of how he probably used to be before he got sick. Karlton T. Clay: Mm PropJosh: Cause it shows that he's which showed me that because it's I feel like every season a certain character become the most dangerous character of the season. Like season one, it was Jules, and then you find out Olivia's pretty dangerous. Now you're seeing like, no, Horace is probably the most dangerous character on the show. Hands down, Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: way more dangerous than Jules. I think so. If he 7evenThirty: Horse more dangerous than jewels? PropJosh: wants to be. I mean Jules is still the most dangerous, but I think Horace could be more dangerous than Jules. 7evenThirty: Because of his power. Karlton T. Clay: Norman's Norman's up there too though. Like Norman Norman's Norman's a s Norman's PropJosh: Yeah, yeah, Norman too. Yeah, yeah, of course, Norman. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: a psycho. 7evenThirty: Yeah, Norman's goddamn. We got to Norman yet. Yeah, yeah. Norman's Norman's the Joker. PropJosh: It's just that Norman's sloppy. That's what it is. yeah, we have to You got a point there, because Horace is like Lex Luthor or Kingpin and and Norman is the Joker. 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Yeah, yeah. Horace is like Kingpin. Yeah, yeah. Norman is the Joker. Straight PropJosh: Ha ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: up. He's just psycho. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: He's so crazy he can't die. He's so PropJosh: Ha ha ha! 7evenThirty: crazy he can't die, bruh. PropJosh: we might really, really gonna have to jump around with this one. 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: Let's talk about it. Let's jump around. Fuck it. Let's jump around. We can't wait. Norman, all right. 7evenThirty: Yeah, I can't wait. PropJosh: So Norman confronts Mallory, right, at her house about his wife. We was waiting on this 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: scene. This is they've been building this scene up since episode one, basically. Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: And they have an altercation, they fight, and she shoots Norman to the point where he is practically dead. He is barely breathing. He is on he's bleeding out. He is bleeding out. 7evenThirty: And it's blood everywhere. It's just a p pool of blood. PropJosh: Right. And they say he barely has a pulse. Cause who checks him? Like Alex checks him with somebody. Yeah, 7evenThirty: Yeah, the the the paramedics came. PropJosh: and they're like, yeah, he's about to die. He is on the verge of death. Yeah, barely has a pulse. And 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. He barely has a pulse. Karlton T. Clay: And he's but here's the thing, though, it's like he was it's not like they can't they got to Marley's house the next episode. They literally he was on the floor for like two, three episodes. PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: I was like, what? He's nigga, he's dead. Like PropJosh: Yeah, he's practically dead. I was like, okay, this is another character where, 7evenThirty: Yeah. Yeah. PropJosh: we might kill off another main character. That's what I'm thinking. Like, okay. This is very but I'm like, but this is Tyler Perry. And I was like, he don't believe in killing off these characters. That's how I feel about it at this point, especially Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: at that point in the show. So when Horace is there, like, yeah, nigga, you dead. I'm glad you're about to die. Then Norman gets up. 7evenThirty: Yes. PropJosh: resurrects from the dead and sh they have a shootout. 7evenThirty: You see you see the bullet holes closing up shh like Wolverine. You see the bullets pushing out of his body, and then he gets up and he PropJosh: Right, exactly like Wolverine. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: says, Rrrr. And then he goes. And then they start shooting. It's a whole shootout between them two. PropJosh: Yeah, they have Karlton T. Clay: Whole suit out. PropJosh: a straight up shootout. 7evenThirty: And then they start playing, you know what and I won't? And it's like they Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: have like a whole shootout. And they then they both end up laying on the floor. PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. 7evenThirty: Still talking shit to each other from across the room. They still have enough energy to talk with the last of their dying breaths, talk shit to each other. PropJosh: Right, right, 'cause Horace is still conscious because he Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: tells him to don't worry about Norman. Like, don't worry, don't help 7evenThirty: He's now been PropJosh: that nigga, help me. 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah. And Norman's now been shot God know how many times. Karlton T. Clay: Right. He got like PropJosh: A lot. Karlton T. Clay: fifty million b fifty million bullets in him. 7evenThirty: Yeah. Mm-hmm. PropJosh: And these are older men, like what, maybe in their sixties, probably? 7evenThirty: And and you know, Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: one of is still recovering from like terminal illness and all kinda stuff. PropJosh: From what was it? Alright. Cancer was it what was it they put in his blood? Like it was putting cancer cells or something? Cancer pills. I forgot what was it they would Karlton T. Clay: yeah. They was put 7evenThirty: Wait, what? Karlton T. Clay: they was injecting him with cancer pills. I mean cancer cells. That's how he get that's that that's how no that's how he got sick. PropJosh: Cancer cells. So they No, that's how they were killing 7evenThirty: To heal him. That's how they healed him. PropJosh: him. That's how Well 7evenThirty: Who injected him with cancer cells? PropJosh: remember when or was it Norman that was doing well somebody was doing it. Karlton T. Clay: Norman go ahead. No no Norman Norman hired the doctor told the doctors to put the cancer cells inside of him. That's why he killed that's why he k that's why he had the doctor PropJosh: Kill that doctor. Karlton T. Clay: kill the doctor killed. 7evenThirty: Wow. I missed that part. PropJosh: You that's why he had that doctor killed. And he was like, killed his whole family. Like, make sure you kill his whole family and him watching Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: it then kill him. Cause that was a very kingpin thing for for Horace to do. Because he found out he was 7evenThirty: Mm for Norman Horace, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: It's just god. PropJosh: being ejected by with cancer pills or cells. Karlton T. Clay: You know, can I just say when I first started watching this show back in season one, I thought this was gonna be one of the more gr more grounded shows. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: not the case. It's just like we're just going from ridiculousness PropJosh: Ha ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: to ridiculousness this more, and it's just like, what do we do? When are we gonna get to the business? What hap what happened with the beauty supplies? Like what that's how the show started. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Right, right. Because that's the whole premise of the show. Supposed to be, right. PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: God Okay. Previously on T Man 7evenThirty: I still think this show PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Yeah. I still think this show does a better job PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: of what have a have not tried to do though. It's it's more it looks it Yes, visually, sound quality, yes. Yeah. The writing is just as bad. Yeah. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: You mean you mean visually? Okay. That's all I got for you. Cause 'cause story wise, mm, nah. It's at first I had high hopes for the story, but now we just we now we just doing whatever we wanna do and you know, 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: okay, whatever. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: So I I realized something. This is the season that jumps the shark. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. Mm. 7evenThirty: absolutely. PropJosh: I think that's what it is. That's what it is. This is the season. If it's like some shows you can't tell when they jump the shark, it's like, they got jump the shark moments, but not sure. I think this show was like, this season was like, here's a they they were they should he should have literally put a shark in the show. 7evenThirty: So just just to just Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: to jump in the shark is when you do something very desperate in in in in in a reach to keep the show alive when you should when you should have ended it. Right. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Like Scooby Doo's PropJosh: Yeah, to keep the show going, to keep the viewers interested. Exactly. That's basically what a jump the shark is. And that's what he did with this show. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: country cousin, that that weird Dalmatian looking dog. Yeah. PropJosh: Yeah. Yep. I remember that. Yeah, Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: that kind of thing. Or 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah. PropJosh: when Married with Children had the random nephew that was there for a season. That was a jump the shark type thing. That kind of thing. 7evenThirty: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I get it. PropJosh: let me see. 'cause I want to talk about yeah, yeah, yeah. I was still wanting to talk about when Charles shot Horace in the head. 'cause I was like, yeah, of course I screamed at the TV and I like, I can't believe they did it. And then I almost threw something at the TV when it was a vision. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: I was like, I'm done. 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha ha. PropJosh: When it was a vision, I said, I'm done. You can do whatever the fuck you want now, Tyler Perry. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: I'm I'm I'm checked out. I'm gonna keep watching, but I'm like, I'm not gonna believe anything. So by the time, Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: by the time we got to the point where Norman gets up and starts shooting at a horse, I wasn't even surprised at that point. I said, Yeah, of course he did. This is where we are at the show. Karlton T. Clay: You're right. Of course. I wanna expect anything less. 7evenThirty: Yep. Yep. And then they both the two of them survived the shootout. Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: At least one of them should have died. Even if, okay, yeah, I don't Karlton T. Clay: Ugh. I agree. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: feel like killing both my characters. Cool. One of them must die after after that. That's too big of a scene, too big of an altercation with too big of character, like two of your major characters, one of them should have died right then. Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Period. PropJosh: But no, he's Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: not gonna kill either one of up. So that's why I said I am not worried about any character, any 7evenThirty: Now PropJosh: of the main characters dying at this point. 7evenThirty: D now, do you think that's because TP is too attached to the characters to let it go, or do you think it's be Karlton T. Clay: I think you're too attached to the actors. 7evenThirty: well, or is it do you think, okay, he's attached to the actors, or is he trying to, like you said, Josh, like jump the shark and just force this show to continue since it because it's a soap opera, or maybe a little bit PropJosh: That's what I think. 7evenThirty: of both. PropJosh: I think it's a little bit of both. 'cause I think that if 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: if he actually plans to end the show, that's when you're gonna start seeing characters actually die. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: Are these actors and other stuff of his? Karlton T. Clay: yeah, depends. PropJosh: Sometimes I see every now and then 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Okay. PropJosh: I mean, he pretty much used all these actors multiple times. 'Cause like you remember when Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: we saw Dor Divorce in the Black, it's like he grabbed half of them and put them in this show. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. PropJosh: So yeah, I'm not worried about any character dying, which like I said, we're skipping around. I wanna jump to the end part of when apparently Jules kills Kimmy's parents and Kimmy's sister. And I was like, wow, they actually kill Sophie. That's her name, right, Sophie. Karlton T. Clay: Sylvie. PropJosh: Sylvie, that's it. My bad. Sylvie. I need to type that better. but yeah, Sylvie. I so I was like, Karlton T. Clay: That idiot. PropJosh: we actually kill Sylvie. But then I saw somebody comment online and stuff and it was like Sylvie ain't dead because it's off camera and I said, you're probably right. Yeah, Sylvie's Sylvie's 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: still alive. Karlton T. Clay: Another character, I mean, that should have died and I would and I should I would have been okay with that. I would've been I would have been perfectly fine. I'd have been like that. She's an idiot. I know she's just PropJosh: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: I know she's just a child, quote unquote teen, whatever, but she's she's she's dumb. She's d she's dumb. PropJosh: Nah, she's st she's she's so dumb. She's too dumb. Yes. 7evenThirty: She dumb as fuck. Yeah, she dumb as fuck. PropJosh: So I was a little happy that she got killed, but then I was like But I was like that actually would be dumb for Jules to do because that would mean Kimmy would go insane if she find out that Jules Right, right, exactly. 7evenThirty: Right, she's gonna go back into punisher mode. Where's my sister? Karlton T. Clay: So PropJosh: So that wouldn't be smart on Jules' end. I'm I'm saving Jules for later. the plot reveal of him his whole storyline. Cause his storyline is stupid. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Wait, wait, so does that cover does that cover So Sophie going back to her parents? PropJosh: not quite. We can still talk about that. Let me change that to Sylvie. 'cause like 'cause the her whole thing was that she wanted to tell the police what happened. Karlton T. Clay: Mhm. Because by the boy who who got pushed off the off the ledge by rain and all 7evenThirty: About the boy who mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: that stuff. PropJosh: Yeah, and Rain wanted Sylvie dead at that point because Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: she was telling Alex, like, hey, can you take care of Sylvie? 7evenThirty: Yeah, Rain turned to some kind of gangster ass queen pin just cause she owned a strip club. Like where where PropJosh: Ha ha ha 7evenThirty: the fuck this gangster side come from? PropJosh: Outta nowhere I know. 7evenThirty: Again, right, again, more character traits that were never even even foreshadowed before in any way. PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: It's all you gotta do is like dump her in her fake butt one time, she'll be in pain, like she'll be done. Like, get out of here, bro. Like, she was on my she was good on my she's always got on my nerves, but she really got on my nerves this season. Like it's like she 7evenThirty: She would arm one. Karlton T. Clay: she can go. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: She can go. PropJosh: Yeah. Yeah, she was getting too drunk with power. So all right, 'cause all right, yeah, I wanna talk about Rain's storyline 'cause it leads into 7evenThirty: Which I I actually did expect that though. I I completely saw that coming though. I completely saw that coming. PropJosh: Yeah, it it made sense. I would say Rain's storyline made a little bit more sense than some of the other storylines. yeah, of course she would get drunk with power. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: So I but I definitely want to talk about when all right, so there's like a a big bad that we don't see. And Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: that they're talking about. And like this lady is there, basically it's the same people 7evenThirty: yeah, yeah, yeah. PropJosh: who who Olivia is scared of. That she's that 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: and that she does her whole storyline too, trying to get Charles to Give her the money so she can deal with these people. So we never see this big bad that this girl is representing. And this girl 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: is in Rain's office and it's like, you need to be paying my boss or whatever. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: You some of your proceeds goes to my boss now that you own the club. And Rain's like, get the fuck out of here. I'll, you know, I do whatever I want. And to the point where the people that work there is like, no, Rain, you need to take care of this because this this person is dangerous. Whoever this person is. 7evenThirty: And no nobody warned PropJosh: Off screen. 7evenThirty: her about that before she signed the paper and took over the business, by the way. Nobody mentioned this shit. by the way, it comes with a a deathly dangerous PropJosh: Exactly, exactly. This is a new character, a new villain or whatever, new th yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: blood contract with a deadly kingpin. Like, you got like get the fuck out of here. PropJosh: Like you have to pay, yeah, to keep this person and you know, and Rain's not listening, like, no, this is my club or whatever. So yeah, I wanna keep that in mind. So meanwhile Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Meanwhile, because this is all connected with Sylvie and with Jules and with Rain. I want to talk about all three of So Sylvie is yelling out loud that she's gonna tell everybody what's going on. This family's crazy, blah, blah. I'm going back to my family, blah, blah, blah. And Jules over Jules hears about this and is like, wait a minute, she knows who killed my son and all this stuff. And so Jules is trying to get out of jail because Norman already Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: Mm. PropJosh: got out. You know, he already was like, hey, I know people, I can 7evenThirty: 'Cause he's the Joker. The Joker always escapes the asylum, yep. Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Right, right. Of course. Of course. Yeah, but he Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: can blackmail people. He's blackmailing people. That's what he does. He's like, Why am I in here? Let get me out of here. And so so Jules tells the detective or whatever that, hey, let me out or whatever, or I can or what did he say to him? He's like, I can get you a deal or something like that to find out man, don't what'd he say? Y'all help me out. Or was he? Karlton T. Clay: He c I he could he 7evenThirty: I don't know. Karlton T. Clay: it's like he could I don't I don't remember. 7evenThirty: I I don't know what his deal was. Karlton T. Clay: I just thought he said he could lead to some I don't know. He just basically let he lied to him was like, I can lead you somewhere and to basically help solve the case, I guess. I don't know. I don't something like that. PropJosh: Yeah, about I guess about Norman or something or about he got evidence or something like that, got proof of evidence or something like that. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, something like that. PropJosh: And he's like, I can I have to show you myself. And the cop is like, Okay, just me and you by ourselves? Yes, no backup, just me and you by ourselves, but just you gotta take me with you by ourselves with no backup whatsoever, and only I have this information that I don't know completely about. Okay. 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: It is 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Dumbest character on the show. So he takes so the cop takes Jules by himself to the middle of nowhere, which basically is to Kimmy's parents' house. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Mm. PropJosh: And he's like, Well, I can't be in these cuffs, you gotta let me go. You gotta uncuff me, and then I'll show you where the evidence is. I 7evenThirty: yeah, that was so fucking stupid. Karlton T. Clay: So down PropJosh: was like This is not real life. This is so this is wow. So I would say Jules has a power of manipulation. Like he has that Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: Professor X power going to his this guy's brain. Yeah, that's what Professor X can do. So that's why everybody got mutant powers. Because 7evenThirty: Yeah. Like a or like a Jedi, like mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: that was no way this guy would go out to the middle of nowhere with Jules by himself Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: with no w with no backup at all. So naturally, Jules kills this guy. 7evenThirty: And then uncuff him. PropJosh: Right, yeah. Did he uncuff him or did Jules kill him with his cuffs on? I don't remember. Karlton T. Clay: I just know the c the cop d is dead. The dude is the dude is dead. 7evenThirty: Ha ha PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: Because of his stupidity, he's dead. PropJosh: Yeah, so Jules kills the guy 'cause the guy's stupid. And then he goes into Kimmy's parents' house and shoots them and then confronts Sylvie. And it's like, What happened with my son? And and and Sylvie tells him everything, like, you know, and who else was there? Alex was there and stuff like that. It was Rain that did it and all that stuff. Then y you know, you see out you see the outside view and a gunshot go off. And so S Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Sylvie is presumably dead. And it 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. She ain't dead. PropJosh: Right, she's probably not Karlton T. Clay: Na PropJosh: dead. And so 7evenThirty: If you you you basically saw Horace get his head blown off and he ain't dead. So Sylvie definitely ain't dead. PropJosh: Right, right, right. Sylvia ain't dead. So Jules. 7evenThirty: We we saw Charles hanging and he's not dead. Norman and Horace got shot full of holes. PropJosh: For hours apparently. 7evenThirty: And they're not dead. So Sylvie is is just fine. Sylvie went to bed at the end of the episode PropJosh: They could have shown Jules shoot Sylvie in the head. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: like this. She's like, wow, that was some scary night. Good thing I'm a still alive. Come on, man. No, she's still Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha. 7evenThirty: alive. She's safe. PropJosh: So, because I want because I I know I'm jumping to the end, but I don't care. We're jumping all over the place. So then Karlton T. Clay: Yes. PropJosh: we get back to the club, and like they tell Rain, like the big bad that you my boss is coming to see you at the club right now, because you owe 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: this person, and the big bad is revealed to be Jules. And I was like. What the fuck, Tyler Perry, do you not watch your own fucking show? Make this make sense. It does not make sense that it would be jewels. Karlton T. Clay: No. We've already established this. We've already established this. No. Does not make any sense. 7evenThirty: It doesn't. Karlton T. Clay: None. None. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: That that would basically mean Jules is his own upper boss. PropJosh: Exactly! That's what's Karlton T. Clay: Is PropJosh: so stupid about it. So d he he already owned the club! 7evenThirty: Right. He was already PropJosh: Ha 7evenThirty: half owner of the club. So how is he his own It's a different way in y'all in in the way that y'all are y'all's own boss. He's literally his own boss. PropJosh: Ha ha. 7evenThirty: Wait a minute, let me ask my boss. He goes upstairs Karlton T. Clay: So 7evenThirty: and looks in the mirror. He's like, Can I do this? You know what I'm saying? Like, yeah, man. PropJosh: Cause why would he be upset earlier seasons when we saw when he found out that Delinda's son w was now owner of the club and all that stuff? And Karlton T. Clay: Right. PropJosh: it's like all this stuff don't make sense. Especially it's it's so stup the he should have introduced a brand new character. Or Karlton T. Clay: Yes. PropJosh: it just made it someone else or something. It's like it it couldn't use any of the It would make more sense if they found out Kimmy was the owner of the club. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: No, no, you find out Sylvie's the owner of the club. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Now the main boy sit. PropJosh: Cause I was very yeah, I was very upset about that. I was like, this is not a good reveal. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. That was that was disappointing. That was that was that was dumb. It was a bad plot point. It was just hard. It's it's lazy writing. That's all it is. It's lazy. PropJosh: Is very lazy right. 7evenThirty: Because this could be one of them things that we didn't need. We didn't need PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: a big bad. Why why? PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Why is it there? You know? PropJosh: To drive the plot more to make it, you know which yeah, but you're right. It's it's I get no I don't No, we didn't need it. We really didn't. 7evenThirty: I don't think we needed it. It could have simply been, the story could have simply been Rain takes over half of the club, and now she's business partners with one of her, like with her literally her worst enemy, which is Jules. Right? PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: That's the story right there. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Why we gotta have a big bad who also turns out to be jewels again? PropJosh: Ha ha ha ha! Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: Don't make sense. PropJosh: Or if you took out the whole big bet in the first place, Jules was gonna go to the club anyway and shoot it up anyway because he's pissed off. He was gonna do that anyway. You didn't need to make him the big boss. He was gonna definitely walk in because he was part owner anyway. Karlton T. Clay: Right, right, right, right. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. yeah, that's right. The whole shootout of the club part. I hollered at that part too. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Like this a whole gangster shootout movie now, like PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: the fuck is going on, bro. Karlton T. Clay: You can't No that that shit I was I was like, what is this? You k you you can't you kill a lot of people with it we don't care about. We don't you can all you kill a lot of extras. 7evenThirty: Right. They was just trying to have a good time, man. Karlton T. Clay: Man, come on man. That's exactly why I said if this is how the show is supposed to end, then no. Nah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. That's how Josh's PropJosh: Ha ha. 7evenThirty: character would have got killed on the show. Being at the strip club at the wrong time. PropJosh: I was just enjoying myself. 7evenThirty: I was just getting a laugh. PropJosh: man. 7evenThirty: Who sit? PropJosh: this this show was all over the place. Karlton T. Clay: God. PropJosh: So, all right, I want to talk about one of my least favorite characters. Or 7evenThirty: Okay. PropJosh: not one of, probably the least favorite character of mine. I forgot this dude's name, but he refers to Attorney Varney as Poppy all the time. 7evenThirty: yeah, that guy. Poppy. A poppy. Carlton, you hated him last time. PropJosh: I fucking hate that character! Karlton T. Clay: Hate hate him. I hate him Yep. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: I him and his sister. Him and him and 7evenThirty: He PropJosh: I was like yeah yeah I do too, I hate him and his sister. I'm like, can someone just shoot these characters already? 7evenThirty: Hey papy, you gotta keep me safe, puppy. PropJosh: Poppy, can you please keep me safe, Poppy? Poppy. Where you going, Poppy? Come back, Poppy. 7evenThirty: man. Another character that served no purpose. Why did we need that? We did not need that. Karlton T. Clay: Nine. PropJosh: Yeah! We don't! We don't! We don't! I can't stand his character! 7evenThirty: Because Varney's story is Charles no Horace, you know, that whole conflict right there. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Which I gotta admit, 7evenThirty: That's the story right there. PropJosh: he did better with that storyline with Charles and Varney and Horace. I like Yes. With the exception of one thing. 7evenThirty: Yes, he did a v he did a way better job of closing that loop on this. Yeah. PropJosh: We we we'll talk about that one thing. Should I say it now? Ninjas. 7evenThirty: What? Yeah. PropJosh: With the exception of a ninjas. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: If you took away the ninjas, then that storyline with Varney and Charles is actually pretty decent. 7evenThirty: All right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's get into the ninjas. Please, let's get Karlton T. Clay: This show definitely 7evenThirty: into the ninjas. Karlton T. Clay: turned into an episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Cause what 7evenThirty: Yes. Karlton T. Clay: was going on? What what 7evenThirty: So, so PropJosh: Noh. 7evenThirty: what the the background of that it was so all through the last season, right? Or PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: halfway through the last season and all through this season, we've been dealing with the fact that Charles is the stupidest, sloppiest character because he Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: shot some niggas that came in his house in self-defense, which last time I checked, you should be able to do. Instead of Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. PropJosh: In self defense, yeah. Right, in his own house. Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: Instead of just calling the cops immediately to tell them what just happened, he decided to act like he just murdered people in cold blood and decided to chop up the bodies, make this big ass mess. His mama Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: came through and found out what happened and helped him clean it up with the help of her connects. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: She paid some people to chop up the bodies and put them on ice and I guess they were supposed to go bury him somewhere or something. PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: So Charles and and and and and Varney are going to pick up the the bodies that have are they now ready for pickup, which I don't know why they have they had to pay with. PropJosh: Because well they had to pay 'cause Olivia wanted money, they had to pay Olivia and Varney. Karlton T. Clay: Olivia 'cause Olivia's blackmailing yeah, Olivia's blackmailing Charles She'll say and basically if you don't get me the money, I'ma I'm gonna expose the body parts and and you 7evenThirty: Expose this whole thing. Karlton T. Clay: all as well the whole thing. 'Cause Olivia PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: is also we're going back to what we previously talked about, the people that she's scared of, she owes them money. Because she's a gambler. 7evenThirty: And so she's gonna use the money that that that Charles them give her for the bodies to pay back the the big bad people? PropJosh: Big bad. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Correct. Right. Yes, basically. It's all 7evenThirty: So that's you just explained the only reason why they would be going to pick up these bodies now. It seems like they would be paying, if they were gonna be paying for these bodies, right? That PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: would include disposal. What the fuck am I supposed to do with a bunch of chopped up ass body parts in saran wrap? They were in saran wrap. Like you could see what it was. It was like, that's a femur. PropJosh: Yeah. I know. Like they're fish right, right. Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: Like you know what I'm saying? Like Karlton T. Clay: huh. 7evenThirty: like it like they packed them up like it was some ground beef, like no nigga, that's obviously human body parts. Like, Karlton T. Clay: Right. 7evenThirty: and they were what were they supposed in a bag, like what the fuck were they supposed to do with that? So I was PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: confused by that alone. And then the ninjas came out. And I'm like, what the what? PropJosh: Course. Well, well, they asked Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: Alex Varney asked Alex for backup. That's what it was. Yeah. 7evenThirty: you caught that? I didn't catch that. PropJosh: That's what it was. He asked Alex. Karlton T. Clay: I mean I mean we saw I mean because you okay so like in the way 'cause Alex got shot, stabbed, something happened, and he was getting he was getting wrapped up by his cousin. And you could see PropJosh: Right. Right. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: you could see them in the back. Like you could they was all around the room. But 7evenThirty: there was ninjas in that shot? Karlton T. Clay: they weren't like dressed up as n they PropJosh: I didn't see any ninjas. Karlton T. Clay: weren't dressed up as Nizes, but you saw other Asian people in the back. They was all around the room. 7evenThirty: Presumably PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: ninjas, 'cause in Tyler Perry's world Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. Sure. 7evenThirty: You're Asian, you're ninjas. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: God. my God. we are not laughing at 7evenThirty: Tyler. Karlton T. Clay: the fact that it's a stereotype. We're not laughing at that whatsoever. Whatsoever. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: but yeah, so basically th those were the ninjas that were in this power just scene that happened in the alleyway. So 7evenThirty: Wow Wow Karlton T. Clay: yeah. That w that Please. 7evenThirty: Wow. Karlton T. Clay: Again, I thought this show was gonna be so grounded. And then here we PropJosh: Ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: are, all of a sudden these ninjas 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: start twirling out of the air and slicing everybody up. Like, what are we doing? What is this? 7evenThirty: And then they hopped in a van and drove off. PropJosh: And never heard from ever again. Karlton T. Clay: Surprised I'm surprised we didn't I didn't surprise we didn't do the smoke thing and disappear. I was like, I was waiting on that. 7evenThirty: That would have been cooler. Karlton T. Clay: I have said that. 7evenThirty: I would have accepted that. As weird as it still would have been out of place, but I would have accepted that. PropJosh: So you can't just you can't just bring in ninjas and and and that's it. 'Cause like now Karlton T. Clay: Right. Right. PropJosh: I'm not worried about Alex at all. 7evenThirty: We gotta go down that rabbit hole. He liked to go down rabbit hole. We that's the rabbit hole we need to be chasing right there. PropJosh: So, so, because you all right, so you remember in Lord of the Rings when Gandalf called on the giant eagles to take them from one from point A to point B, and everybody was like, why don't you just call on 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: these eagles all the time? So that's 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: how I feel now with Alex and the ninjas. Anytime Alex is Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: in trouble, just call on your ninjas. Apparently 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: you're the shredder. 7evenThirty: We got the shredder over here, the foot clan, the X-Men. PropJosh: Ha ha ha Karlton T. Clay: Not the foot clear head. 7evenThirty: This is like this is like a 90s cartoon sci-fi brought to real life. That's what this Karlton T. Clay: This is crazy. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: is. PropJosh: So because Jules is after Alex, and I'm like, well, I'm not worried about Alex anymore. He'll just call his ninja friends and they can jump out and slice up everybody and we're done. Because he has ninjas now. Karlton T. Clay: Right. Right. 7evenThirty: Yep. That's funny. Karlton T. Clay: That's I find the most ridiculous thing ever. When these I was like, what is this? 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: What are we doing? PropJosh: This is the kind of shit me and Marcus will came up with when we were kids. 7evenThirty: Right. Right. PropJosh: We were one hundred percent will came out came up with some ninjas jumping out of nowhere and attack. 7evenThirty: My full name is Rokosaki. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: Don't call me Japanga again. Which by the way is the worst word I've ever heard. What what? What is what? And they kept saying it again more. PropJosh: of course, of course. I know they brought it back this season too. It was like Yeah, they Karlton T. Clay: We just kept saying PropJosh: brought it back. Karlton T. Clay: it. Like stop saying that. 7evenThirty: So crazy, man. Karlton T. Clay: Gosh, this is a fine type of prayer every time they say it. 7evenThirty: Yeah. But you know, Tyler Perry's his own boss. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Tyler Perry's like, man, this movie Tyler Perry goes back and watch the movie, like, man, this sucks. I'm gonna go complain to the director. He marches PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: upstairs. It's a big Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: ass mirror with gold all over. It's like, PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: yeah, that's that's right. let me speak to the writer's room. It's like, okay, and he Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: marches. You march over to the writer's room. It's just just a mirror. Like shit. Work at the PropJosh: man. 7evenThirty: Yep. PropJosh: goodness. So the We pretty much covered the biggest highlights. Karlton T. Clay: God. Hmm. 7evenThirty: He just he just taps himself every time. PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: man. Jesus. 7evenThirty: So is this wait wait, you s did we did we cover this part talking about what about Roy needing drugs? PropJosh: So yeah, we haven't we haven't touched on Roy at all. He's been kinda 7evenThirty: We haven't touched on Roy much. Okay. PropJosh: yeah, Roy's been kinda out of it this whole season. He's been 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: going through withdrawals and so like he's just been like, you know, being Roy. I I I'm Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: a little disappointed with Roy this season because Roy's like my favorite character. Cause I love him talking shit 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: and something happens to him. And but this season actually made me feel bad for him. I was like, damn, why'd y'all make me feel bad for Roy? 7evenThirty: W was it the last season? It was last season where he got caught in the parking lot with the stripper girl and and the and the and his wife set the house on fire and I mean Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, mm-hmm. Yeah. PropJosh: Yeah, yep. Yep. 7evenThirty: yeah, okay. PropJosh: Yeah. So now he spends the entire season in jail going through withdrawals. Yeah, that's all Roy 7evenThirty: Okay. PropJosh: does until this one guy, this guy that's in prison with him, gives him something and then he overdoses. And that's Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: the last we see of Roy. Like they taking him out to help to help him because he's overdosing. 7evenThirty: Yeah. They're taking him Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: out to help him. They're not taking him out because he's never gonna die. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: He's he's he's a mutant. PropJosh: Right. of course. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: And Olivia's thing this season was she's in jail with the people who were going to apparently kill her. Yeah, but 7evenThirty: To kill her, right? Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Car, yeah. PropJosh: then she but then after she paid them, they just kind of sitting in jail with her talking shit. So that's 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: all that was going on with Olivia. That's all we had w going on with that. we didn't talk about Mallory. Yeah, yeah, she is. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. But Olivia is scared this season. No, you could tell like she her Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: whole demeanor is different than previous seasons because she was just, you know, big bad queen pin on the previous season, but she's scared this season. PropJosh: Right. Right, of course. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: And we didn't say much about Mallory other than her killing or almost killing Norman. and then but it was funny that she was she had the whole storyline with that guy that was trying to Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that had 7evenThirty: That that guy that was fixing a house or something? Karlton T. Clay: the preacher. Yeah. Yeah. That was stupid. That was dumb. Just just throwing it out this. Because also, PropJosh: It it it was dumb. It yeah, he had a bunch of foster kids and Karlton T. Clay: because again, once again, we don't go back and wa and and read what we write previously because it was one point he was saying he was married, and then next it was like, no, I'm divorced. And it's like, there was no There was nothing in the point where she called him in a lie if it was a lie. She didn't catch him in a lie or say anything. It was just like What are we doing? Are you married with kids? Are you divorced with foster kids? Or what are you doing? Like what's what are you doing, sir? 7evenThirty: Wait, wait, which wait, which character is this? Karlton T. Clay: The dude that was supposed to fix that the dude that fixed her house. And so 7evenThirty: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: apparently then and then she took a they met in the back of the of the strip club place while the sex happened. And then he was like, No PropJosh: Which is still going on, which I thought they stopped because Rain took over. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-mm-no, they still they still getting it. They're still getting it. And so then PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: they was like, he was like, whoa, I'm not here for this. I want to get you saved. I want to give you Jesus. So that was that. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: back to that old school Tyler Perry. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: Mean I mean like I said, I'm not mad at it, but what I'm mad at is like the setting and I'm mad at the again, the story. It's like it just doesn't it just doesn't make sense. It doesn't 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: it just doesn't make any sense. You can have that character, you can have him be somebody that wants to help people and introduce people to Jesus and us. I don't have a problem with that. What I have a problem 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: with is just how you're presenting it and it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. 7evenThirty: Right. Because they could have met PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Because because because 7evenThirty: over coffee, talked about Jesus. Karlton T. Clay: Or so or you could have just had that conversation at the house again because again you're making him look like a psychopath because 7evenThirty: Right. PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: you don't know if you don't know if he's he keeps saying he said he was married in one sentence and then the next sentence he's saying he's divorced. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: So what are ya? And then you're up there sending people flowers and stuff. What are you doing? You know what I'm saying? It's just like 7evenThirty: Right. And then he's showing up at the strip club. PropJosh: Right, right. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: N yeah, yeah. Like that you're not gonna 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: show up at reigns or 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: what you know what I'm saying? Like you like as a as a man well, I won't say that. 'Cause there are some people who may do whatever they do. But if somebody PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: who carries themselves in a a different type of way, you would not show up to 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: a place that is known for stripping and sex. It's not like it's a secret. You know what I'm saying? 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: So his character PropJosh: Right. Karlton T. Clay: would not If you're writing him the way you how you have him, his character wouldn't even show up there in the first place. So that's 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: why that that's why that scene does not make any sense of why you would introduce her to Jesus in the sex pot. 7evenThirty: In the it not only at the strip club, but in the part where everybody having sex in the background. All right now now close your eyes with me now. Karlton T. Clay: Everybody's having ever having butt naked sex. PropJosh: Right, the big yeah. The big right next to you. 7evenThirty: And you got six sounds going on in the background. Karlton T. Clay: It doesn't it doesn't PropJosh: Ha ha Karlton T. Clay: make sense. PropJosh: ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: It doesn't make sense. PropJosh: Yeah, that's 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: yeah, that was weird. He was a weird character. But I think they're trying to do this Karlton T. Clay: We could do it. We could PropJosh: running gag. They're trying to do this running gag of of Mallory trying to hook up with somebody and then it just never works out. 7evenThirty: is that is that what this is? PropJosh: Yeah, 'cause she's been trying the entire show. And she could never get anybody. Karlton T. Clay: But girl, your your psycho. Your psycho. She's a psycho. And you talk and she and PropJosh: Yeah, yeah she is. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: she and and she talked crazy too. Like girl, you got one more time. 7evenThirty: Right, right, right. She PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: talk she talked crazy, bro. Cause she was talking mad Karlton T. Clay: You got one more 7evenThirty: sideways to old buddy. the preacher dude. Karlton T. Clay: You got one more time, I'ma send my sister for you. 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: My son my my female cousin my female cousin will come get you. 7evenThirty: Cause that was after he did the work on her house. Karlton T. Clay: That's after 'cause yeah, PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: basically she she wasn't gonna pay him. That's what the problem was. She 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: wasn't gonna pay him and then he was like, No, I need my money and then yeah, eventually she done giving them the money 'cause she was trying to get something from him, so 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Well, like I said, you got one more time. my female cousins coming for you. 7evenThirty: Hehehehe PropJosh: So I think we covered the main highlights. I think that's everything. Well well yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We didn't talk about Angel at all. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. We didn't talk about Angel but he didn't he didn't do nothing. 7evenThirty: Horace has the Doctor family in him killed. that's my least favorite character. Angel. Karlton T. Clay: Agree. You can go to 7evenThirty: He can go, man. Like the last season they teased us with that. PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Wasn't that the last season where there was a shootout and then like he was Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. It'll shoot out. 7evenThirty: buried he he was hidden underneath a dead body or something like that? I'm like, get out of here, man. PropJosh: Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. He didn't die. We thought he could Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. Yeah. PropJosh: have been dead. Every character at this point had a near death experience and they survived. So Karlton T. Clay: Yep. Yep. PropJosh: but like that's when Charles and Varney discovered that Chorus is gay. 'Cause Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: 'cause Angel's in there dancing for him. 7evenThirty: That's the scene that led to the argument that led to Charles hanging himself, I think. Right? PropJosh: No, no, that's toward the end. That wasn't no, that wasn't the scene. 'Cause 'cause 7evenThirty: okay. PropJosh: that was toward the end. 7evenThirty: Okay. PropJosh: Yeah, that was like close to the last episode. That was like the third to the last episode when that happened. 7evenThirty: A lot of these scenes are the same, man. PropJosh: Yeah, there's a lot of repeats. There's a lot of repeating. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Wow. It's like being in like the back rooms. Karlton T. Clay: So Angel don't care about so PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: so Angel don't care about his kid no more? PropJosh: yeah, I forgot Angel has a kid. Guess Taliberry did too. 7evenThirty: Angel forgot he had a kid. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: Yep, Tyler Perry forgot. shit. Guess I'll fix it in post. Guess I'll fix it there. But we are PropJosh: Yeah, Angel's Yeah fixed it most. Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: only halfway through this season though, right? Karlton T. Clay: So I was looking PropJosh: Think? Karlton T. Clay: at that because I was looking for a part two for season three, like when is 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: it coming out? And they says there from what I looked that there is gonna be no parts, it's gonna straight to season four. PropJosh: Which something he should've did in the first place instead of this part what 'Cause it just makes it confusing. So just it's 7evenThirty: But you know what? That goes to show you, man, like, go ahead, black man. You you've made it. You've got so much power, you could literally do whatever you want with this show. You ain't gotta have no format to the seasons. PropJosh: No, of course. 7evenThirty: Cause it's always been a part one and part two to every season. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Right, right. 7evenThirty: So if they do skip part two of what is this, season three, Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: he gets to do whatever he wants. He like, yeah, fuck that. I don't feel like doing no part two. We do we going straight on we going straight on to season four. PropJosh: Which it it why it doesn't even make a d difference. 7evenThirty: It doesn't. It doesn't. But I'm just I'm impressed with the fact that this man can just do whatever he wants. He got he in the middle of, let's say there is a part two coming, right? That means Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: he's in the mid season break of one sh one show. He just had a movie come out. And Karlton T. Clay: True. 7evenThirty: he got Yeah, because he got another whole nother movie. Talking about the doing life movie. Karlton T. Clay: Yep. Yep. 7evenThirty: I just started PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: that movie. I didn't finish it, but he got. PropJosh: I'm gonna start that. Yeah. 7evenThirty: Multiple boom boom. He could do whatever he wants. Like it's PropJosh: Mm. 7evenThirty: crazy. Karlton T. Clay: And they got another series about to come PropJosh: Wow. Karlton T. Clay: out. It's a it's a it's a fire fire series about to come out. 7evenThirty: On Netflix? Karlton T. Clay: I think so. PropJosh: B E T Karlton T. Clay: I think so. 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: But yeah. PropJosh: I I can't I can't keep up with everything. I can I can only watch the movies. As far as TV shows, Beauty in Black is 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: the only Tyler Perry show I watch. I can't c I can't. I can't. It's too much. It's too much. 7evenThirty: Work ethic. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah it's it's PropJosh: I mean, I watched House of Pain back in the day, but I don't watch it now. I'm so 7evenThirty: I can't I can't watch House of Pains. Karlton T. Clay: Must which which is still on by the way. I can't watch that either, but it's still on. PropJosh: Yeah, it's still on. I know. 7evenThirty: Still on like like still like going. PropJosh: New Karlton T. Clay: No PropJosh: episode Yeah. It keeps going, Karlton T. Clay: like new new sea new episodes. Yeah. 7evenThirty: my god. PropJosh: won't end, and it's been out forever. I Karlton T. Clay: Forever. PropJosh: I watched it back in the day, way back in the day when it first started. 7evenThirty: And this is still do is it still old buddy that played paint that guy that guy still on it? Karlton T. Clay: Everybody s everybody still on the show. Everybody. Yep. PropJosh: Still same cast. Same yeah, everybody's still there. Karlton T. Clay: Yep. But yeah, the new show is gonna it's called Where There's Smoke and it's a firefighter drama series. It's gonna be on Netflix. It's sixteen episodes. Our 7evenThirty: Wow. Karlton T. Clay: hour long. 7evenThirty: It's not out yet though. Okay. Karlton T. Clay: No. Mm mm. PropJosh: J you're gonna have to tell me about it and tell me if it's worth watching. I can't I can't Karlton T. Clay: I got you. PropJosh: start too many new stuff. 7evenThirty: I know what you mean, Judge. I feel the same. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: We'll see and we'll see. I'll watch it and then we'll see how long stay with it. 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah. PropJosh: So I would ask, what are y'all predictions for the next season? But nobody would guess. Nobody guessed the stuff that happened this season, so 7evenThirty: We could we could do that real quick. We could do that real quick. I know Sylvie's still alive. I know for a fact she's still alive. She's still alive. PropJosh: Yeah, she's still alive. We all know that. That's not a surprise at all. Karlton T. Clay: think we're gonna get a brand new White Ranger. 7evenThirty: He's gonna take his mask off, it's gonna be Alex. PropJosh: Ha ha ha ha. Karlton T. Clay: no for real. Don't have anything. I don't know. Cause I just I just again this show is so this show has become so outlandish that I have no idea. I can't call 7evenThirty: You can't call it. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: it at all. They have not stuck with the original formula of what this show is about. So I cannot PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: predict where we're going. I have no idea where we're going. I I I can say, well, there'll be more sex in the sex room in the back. 7evenThirty: absolutely. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: I got a hot take for you. Horace is still alive. Norman is still alive. And Roy is still alive. Because all those people are on their hospital beds. 7evenThirty: absolutely. Everybody's still alive. Yeah. Everybody that's that look Karlton T. Clay: wow. 7evenThirty: like they gonna die is alive. And then they're gonna reveal Tyler Perry's character on this series. Karlton T. Clay: please not do that. 7evenThirty: He's gonna be the professor. He's gonna be the professor Karlton T. Clay: Don't do that. Please. No. 7evenThirty: that calls everybody to them. Everybody to him. PropJosh: Professor Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: My teammate PropJosh: To me, my t team. Karlton T. Clay: Who? PropJosh: I know. What is that? 7evenThirty: That's the t shirt, Josh. Tea man. With Tyler Perry going like this. Karlton T. Clay: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: To me, my tea, with that beam coming at his head. Yeah. PropJosh: Ha ha ha Karlton T. Clay: that'd PropJosh: Ho ho ho Karlton T. Clay: be so funny. That would be so funny. Lord, 7evenThirty: Mm. Karlton T. Clay: Lord, Lord. H has anybody's favorite characters changed like to this season? PropJosh: well, I got well, I'll go by this season itself. 7evenThirty: It changes season to season. PropJosh: Like who's my favorite characters for this this particular season? Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, who's your favorite character for D season? PropJosh: Man, this is hard because everybody was kind of stupid. you know what? Maybe Horace. I liked Horace a lot because he showed him being pretty evil and and very dangerous. So I would say he was probably my favorite character this season because he it was almost a character, it wasn't quite a character shift. It was more like a character reveal where other characters Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: have a character shift where he just changed the character completely. I feel like with Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. 7evenThirty: Mm. PropJosh: Horace, this was more of a reveal, like, Now that he's gotten better, he's actually pretty evil. 'Cause not fully evil 'cause he's still he's still nice to Kimmy and Angel and Rain a little bit. So like he was in the beginning, but it's like, you see how dangerous he can be though if you're on his bad side. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: So I I do like Horace. So yeah, I would say Horace is my favorite character this season. Karlton T. Clay: Go ahead, Mart. 7evenThirty: So I think this season my favorite is Not that I like any characters, but I I think the Karlton T. Clay: Mm. 7evenThirty: most grounded character this season, considering how wacky this is, is Vardy. Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: yeah, yeah, yeah. He's like a normal person trying to get through this crazy show. 7evenThirty: Trying to survive this crazy world. And then he even he even I think there's even a scene where he finally just got Charles straight, I think. I think he checked Charles. Karlton T. Clay: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. Charles ends the season going to Karlton T. Clay: Rehab PropJosh: yeah, rehab. 7evenThirty: Yeah, yeah, yeah. He checked Charles pretty good on this season, which somebody had to do. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: and so he was the most respectable character on this season. Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: I if I had to pick somebody I don't know. This is very difficult. Like you said, Josh, PropJosh: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: all these characters are very dumb. PropJosh: Right. 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha Karlton T. Clay: and and it's like the this the storylines are so ridiculous. yeah, I might have to agree with Mark. I might have to go with Barney as well. Not again, not because he did anything impressive to me or like I'm like, 7evenThirty: Right. Right. Karlton T. Clay: my god, but it's like the only out of this whole list here, I mean he's the the one to go to, I guess. 7evenThirty: Right. Karlton T. Clay: I will say least And we didn't talk about this person 'cause he doesn't matter. But Officer Traxon got on my nerves. I want him to die. PropJosh: yeah, yeah, yeah. 7evenThirty: Wait, wait. Talking about the dude that's fighting with Alex? Is that who you talking about? Yeah, yeah, he got on my nerves. Like, yeah. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah, the ball headed dude. The ball headed dude. Yeah, he can PropJosh: Yeah, yeah. The last time we saw him though, his legs got ran over though. Karlton T. Clay: Good. PropJosh: Ha ha ha. 7evenThirty: he's a mutant too then. Okay. PropJosh: He might be in the wheelchair. He might be the to me my team in. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. shit. Karlton T. Clay: gosh, this show. PropJosh: So what's your rating for this season? Karlton T. Clay: Okay, I'm gonna say 7evenThirty: He's he's so frustrated right now PropJosh: Ha ha ha! 7evenThirty: thinking about how do I rate this? PropJosh: It's hard. Karlton T. Clay: I'm gonna say but don't do it over, but do over. I just don't I don't I I'm good. Like I'm with you Josh. We could've stopped at the end of season two part two. That could have been 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Karlton T. Clay: it. But don't but this rating wise, this PropJosh: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: season's a do over, but please don't do it over. 7evenThirty: Right. PropJosh: might have to agree with you. I might have to agree too, 'cause 7evenThirty: I would give it the same rating. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. Yeah. PropJosh: I I would agree because like yeah, this last season should have been the that should been it. It should have ended. This is what happens when you keep going to a show that should've ended and this Karlton T. Clay: Mm. Mm. 7evenThirty: Yep. Yep. PropJosh: definitely shows. Now I'd still enjoyed it. I still have fun with it, but it was very dumb. It's just Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. PropJosh: like I I enjoy dumb shit sometimes and I'm like, this is, you know 7evenThirty: Yeah. PropJosh: This is a guilty pleasure. But I 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. PropJosh: definitely would give it a do-over though. but I agree. You don't do it over, but as far as the rating, I give it a high do-over. 7evenThirty: Right. Right. As far as our rating system, I Karlton T. Clay: Mm. PropJosh: Yeah. 7evenThirty: would give it yeah, I would give it a load to over. yeah. I think it's pretty clear none of us want it done over. But yeah. It wasn't Karlton T. Clay: Please. Mm-mm. 7evenThirty: completely trash 'cause it kept my attention. You know what I'm saying? and I definitely screamed at the T V a couple of times, so you know. Karlton T. Clay: Right, right, right. I think if PropJosh: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I c it definitely kept my attention. And I I did enjoy it enough. Yes, Karlton T. Clay: If however PropJosh: yes. Karlton T. Clay: if this would have been the last season, like how they originally was like they said season three was supposed to be it, it would have been trash for me. For sure. I'd have been like, no, trash. But the the but PropJosh: same. Yeah. Yeah. Like no, no. Y'all yeah, you went off the walls with this. 7evenThirty: I feel that. Yeah, that's fair. Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: yeah, but but but 7evenThirty: Yeah. Karlton T. Clay: since they're moving, they're gonna continue with the ridiculousness of it all, the yeah, I was like, Yeah, this is this is a do over. I want I want better for this show. 'Cause like you said Mark, it looks so good. It looks it looks amazing. 7evenThirty: Mm-hmm. Right. Karlton T. Clay: It's one of his better best looking shows, series that he's done. 7evenThirty: And the title, the title card, you know, every time he always incorporates that I love that. Like Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. Yeah. 7evenThirty: visually, a you know, it's it's a A, you know, visually. Karlton T. Clay: Yeah. Right. Right. God. PropJosh: All right. 7evenThirty: Ha ha ha. Karlton T.
