- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's the Stack no More podcast.
- 0:04Speaker 1: So I see you, you're ready to take that step, or you've already taken the step You've already, or maybe you're in this place, you're thinking about it.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Well, I want to help you with.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Okay, get ready.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Zerubbabel.
- 0:19Speaker 1: No, I didn't say boo boo, hey, boo boo.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Get a big, big backseat.
- 0:23Speaker 1: No, zerubbabel In the Bible.
- 0:25Speaker 1: What does Zerubbabel have to do with you taking that first step?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'm passionate about this because, you see, zerubbabel is a great example of what God says about your small beginnings.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Have you heard that phrase?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Despise non-small beginnings?
- 0:43Speaker 1: So I want to just give you a little information, a little bit of hopefully transformational, so you can realize that first step is huge and you're taking it.
- 0:53Speaker 1: And then, good job, even if you're just thinking about it podcast stages, writing that book, singing that song, come on.
- 1:02Speaker 1: So I want to give you this is the scripture, okay, can I give it to you Zerubbabel, zechariah 4, verse 10.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Not boo-boo Zerubbabel.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I even looked it up to make sure I pronounced it right, okay.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Okay, listen to this.
- 1:18Speaker 1: God saw Zerubbabel's small beginning and there was nothing to hate or despise about that moment.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Can we just stop right there?
- 1:27Speaker 1: God sees your small beginning and there's nothing to despise about that.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You know, sometimes you get stuck in that small beginning and you don't realize that what God's put in you, what God's created you, is for more.
- 1:44Speaker 1: He gave you the desire so you would go in that more.
- 1:49Speaker 1: It's in you, it's lined in your very DNA.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Let's talk about that Lined in your very DNA.
- 1:55Speaker 1: God's not despising that, because he probably gave it to you.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So I always like to think as far as what you're doing, what did you like to do when you were young?
- 2:05Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 2:06Speaker 1: To play and if you've listened, you know my story is I loved microphones.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness, I'm still that way.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I've got so many microphones around here, it's not even funny and dressing up my mic, what did you like to do when you played?
- 2:23Speaker 1: You know that is just like a starting point really, I believe, to tap into and then bring it into the present with all the maturity and the creativity you can.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I like microphones.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I would play, play, pretend I had a microphone.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I mean, who hasn't had a brush, not played like it's a microphone?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well, I remember I was young and my dad brought home what was then considered modern technology.
- 2:53Speaker 1: It was a microphone attached to a tape recorder.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I'm going to date myself and he put it under the bed and he's like, hey, don't mess with that.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Of course he went to work and I messed with it.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I got it out, learned how to use it.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I'd spend hours in my bedroom talking into that microphone, pretending like I was Howard Cosell and dating myself or Walter Cronkite.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I mean, I would talk and I'd try to get to my kid my brothers in and I had to interview them and then after about five minutes they left the room.
- 3:24Speaker 1: That was fascinating to me a microphone.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And then at that same house I think I was about seven when this was all going on we had massive steps to the front porch and I would climb up those steps and I'd turn around and I'd imagine a crowd as big as Billy Graham and I'd preach.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I was Catholic.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I didn't want to be a priest, I just wanted to speak.
- 3:51Speaker 1: We later moved to a small front steps.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It was all so small I never thought that in the back I had a porch that had lots of steps, but I didn't want anyone to see me at this point, me pretending like I was preaching.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But one day I was bored and I looked at those small steps and I'm like, yeah, that's not doing it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: But then out of the corner of my eye I saw an apple cart.
- 4:16Speaker 1: So I tipped that apple cart this way up and down and I'd step on that apple cart and I would preach to the birds, the bees and the apple trees hey guys, you really meet Jesus.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Was that a small beginning?
- 4:31Speaker 1: It might've been Cause as I grow up, as I grew up, apple products became my fascination.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I would get an iMac MacBook Pro.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I would get an iMac, macbook Pro, iphone, with filters of course, and I would speak.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I was hired in 1990 to speak in a microphone.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Did that for let's see how many years I did it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I did it for 15 and a half years and at the beginning of last year God said Teresa, I'm just talking about small beginnings, I've called you a voice revivalist.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Three months later, after 18 years, I went back to the radio station.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You're listening to Victory 91.5, the sound of revival.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So tell me, god does not despise what he put in you.
- 5:23Speaker 1: God does not despise what he put in you.
- 5:31Speaker 1: He put in you that gift, that talent that's meant to go forward, and then you like it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So let's go back to the scripture, as Zechariah four, verses 10,.
- 5:37Speaker 1: God saw Zerubbabel's small beginning and there was nothing to hate or despise about that moment.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You might be locked in a moment of what you really want to do and you're staying locked.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Can I give you a key?
- 5:54Speaker 1: One key as far as your voice or your identity?
- 5:57Speaker 1: It's the unique expression of your values, your experiences and your giftings, and your identity that can impact thousands.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That's your unique expression.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It's a moment.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And then God goes on.
- 6:15Speaker 1: In this verse, god rejoiced that Zerubbabel had begun the work.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Do you hear that?
- 6:22Speaker 1: What if I told you God designs in your new beginnings, that he rejoices to see you explore it, create it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And you're thinking, teresa, I have this small desire and it's just not going forward.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I love to help people find their voice, share their voice and speak their voice, and the speaking could be anywhere.
- 6:47Speaker 1: But I really am passionate about you speaking on your stages, social media, maybe speaking into your own podcast.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Why do I desire that?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Because I think the voice has the power in your gifting to bring transformation to someone.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So I'm trying to just encourage you that in your small beginning you're like well, I just thought about it.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That's a beginning.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Don't despise that small moment, even if it's in your head or maybe it's in your dreams.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It's like I've got a relationship with God.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And because I have a relationship with God, I don't know if I really should speak on this, because it's not about God.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Can I be a bridge between your relationship with God to what you desire to do?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Because your relationship with God is your foundation.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But out of that foundation you can be what God's called you to be.
- 7:47Speaker 1: That doesn't mean you have to be a priest or a preacher.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You can bring the essence of who God is into that workplace, into that job, into that idea online.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I got a course in me, teresa, and I can't get it out.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Don't despise small beginnings, not even the moment.
- 8:09Speaker 1: God rejoiced when Zerubbabel began the work.
- 8:14Speaker 1: God rejoices when you begin the work and you know what happens.
- 8:21Speaker 1: That work becomes a passion of love because it's once again lined in your DNA.
- 8:27Speaker 1: God delights in new beginnings.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Someone needs to hear that for the back crowd.
- 8:32Speaker 1: God delights in new beginnings.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You know I have a friend who knows she has a gifting.
- 8:38Speaker 1: She's an amazing counselor, just has a heart.
- 8:45Speaker 1: She understands some psychological things.
- 8:48Speaker 1: She's from Australia and she knows that God has put that in her.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Her small beginnings is just for me to watch her is just to write this out and start to formulate it.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Every morning we go back and forth with a you version.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You can invite someone to your plan and you can actually share notes after each chapter.
- 9:11Speaker 1: So I see her heart.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I know where she's come from the field of psychology and as a psychologist no, I do.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know what's inside her.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I know she's meant to minister to the lost and the outcasts and the women in the streets and the destitute and the prostitutes.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I know it.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But she has to begin in the moment of talking about it.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Some of you are past talking.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You're past talking.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You know that.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You know, but what is God waiting for?
- 9:51Speaker 1: I think he's waiting for your obedience.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I think he's waiting for your trust, because you're meant to be there.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Some of you are there, but you want to go to a greater level.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I know when I was talking I think everyone should have a neurocycle coach when I was talking to my coach, my friend and I was talking out something what God revealed to me was I hadn't surrendered a certain area of my business and just God first telling me that and then being able to process it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It was so powerful.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So I say that to you Sometimes you have to surrender what God gives you in your heart.
- 10:32Speaker 1: You surrender that idea and then you say, okay, god, I'm all yours, and you start taking the steps.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Rehobo, god was rejo'm all yours and you start taking the steps.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Rubable, god was rejoiced that he'd begun the work.
- 10:45Speaker 1: The moment, the small beginning.
- 10:49Speaker 1: He saw the small beginning and there was nothing to hate about it, about that moment.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Isn't that awesome?
- 10:58Speaker 1: That should be freeing.
- 11:00Speaker 1: There's nothing you can start.
- 11:01Speaker 1: You know you're starting and God looks on you and he delights in that.
- 11:06Speaker 1: God rejoiced that Zerubbabel had begun the work.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Do not despise small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.
- 11:18Speaker 1: In the word it says, to see the plumb line in Zerah Bubel's hand.
- 11:22Speaker 1: You know the plumb line.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I'm a golfer.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I think of it as holding up my putter.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It's like a plumb line.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I was a professional golfer at once.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'd hold the putter up and we'd go like this when I was little I did it because everyone else was doing it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I thought it looked cool.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Then I realized that was a plumb line.
- 11:41Speaker 1: What's the plumb line that God's put in your hand.
- 11:45Speaker 1: What's the plumb line that God has said?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Just line it up.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Yes, you can bridge the gap between your relationship, your intimacy with God.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Let me bridge the gap.
- 11:59Speaker 1: That might be the plumb line.
- 12:03Speaker 1: The word of God might be your plumb line to continue on with that vision, to continue on with that course, to continue on with yeah, I want to create a podcast.
- 12:13Speaker 1: To continue on.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I want to speak on stage, I want to learn how to speak on my social stage.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So the plumb line that God puts in your hand is the word of God.
- 12:23Speaker 1: It is so full.
- 12:26Speaker 1: The word is so full of things, about money, about plans, about talents.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Come on, read the Proverbs and you'll get all fired up.
- 12:37Speaker 1: The God says hey, I'll give you the skill and as you grow in that skill, I'll set before you kings and queens.
- 12:44Speaker 1: As you trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and acknowledge me, I will direct your path.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Plumline for your dream is the word of God, and he does not despise your small beginning, or even, let's say, you've begun and you're up there and you're going, but you feel like you're hitting a wall.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Is hitting the wall something to do with your voice, because when God lines something in your DNA, sometimes that lining has to come with that continued submission, obedience, saying yes to what God says.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I'm going to say yes, I may be shaking in my boots, but I'm going to say yes.
- 13:29Speaker 1: So you say yes, and in that yes comes the obedience, comes the intimacy with God that leaks out in other areas.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Yeah, your intimacy with God can leak out, but what are you basing it on?
- 13:43Speaker 1: What does God put in your hand?
- 13:45Speaker 1: He puts the word and that becomes your plumb line for the next step, for the beginning.
- 13:49Speaker 1: What words are in your heart?
- 13:53Speaker 1: Are they life and goodness?
- 13:59Speaker 1: I really believe that, whether you've started creating or you are creating okay, I really believe that God is calling you to be the voice, piece of transformation, that you may have gone through some misery and it has become your destiny.
- 14:14Speaker 1: You may have experienced messes, but it comes.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Your message and God.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You're getting healed.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Because we don't want to speak from the wounds.
- 14:24Speaker 1: They're messy, they don't do any transformation.
- 14:28Speaker 1: You speak from the scars.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I have lots of scars.
- 14:32Speaker 1: If there's a wound open, I make sure I deal with it and it becomes a scar.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I may not necessarily speak from it, but I make sure it's a scar so I don't bleed on someone else that doesn't need the blood and the gore and the messes.
- 14:45Speaker 1: But as you get healed and that plumb line helps you to walk out that healing from your scar into transformation, into changing your city, your state, your nation, you become a voice, piece of transformation and life.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Someone is waiting on the other side of your yes.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Someone is waiting for your extra ordinary God puts the extra to your ordinary, your extra ordinary solution to their pain point.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It might be in your course, it might be in your podcast, it might be in you, consistently speaking life on your stage of social media.
- 15:37Speaker 1: On your stage of social media, I just feel like we got to rally some voices.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That's my heart.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's not about me, that was a lesson.
- 15:49Speaker 1: You can get into this place, okay.
- 15:51Speaker 1: You got a course and you're ready to release it and you start worrying about it.
- 15:56Speaker 1: People are going to buy it, but hey, it's not about you, it's not about me If they.
- 15:59Speaker 1: But hey, it's not about you, it's not about me If they reject it, they're not rejecting you.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So disconnect your identity to that voice, to that course, to that podcast.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Disconnect it.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I mean, you can't see this if you're listening on the podcast, but I did a picture of me playing on the couch.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It was a photo shoot, but I was playing on the couch and they caught it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: In play came an idea that enables me to talk.
- 16:31Speaker 1: It's taking that first step.
- 16:32Speaker 1: It's using Zerubbabel and Zechariah 4, verse 10.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Can I read it once more?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Some of you are catching this later, god saw Zerubbabel's small beginning and there was nothing to hate or despise about that moment.
- 16:49Speaker 1: About that moment, you may be sitting in a moment in time and God's saying take the step because it's in you, go ahead, let the plumb line be your relationship with God and you can bring your relationship with God into that job.
- 17:06Speaker 1: That may have nothing to do with a relationship with God, but it has a solution.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Take the plumb line, the word of God, into your course, take the plumb line into your podcast and transformation can begin.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Transformation from your identity.
- 17:31Speaker 1: You know your identity creates something as you get shored up on who you are in Christ.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's what identity?
- 17:39Speaker 1: You're not identity.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I have a podcast.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's what identity?
- 17:41Speaker 1: You're not identity.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I have a podcast.
- 17:42Speaker 1: That's my identity.
- 17:42Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 17:42Speaker 1: My identity is my relationship with Jesus.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Okay, and you take that identity, you know what happens.
- 17:48Speaker 1: You get to have authority Authority over the fears, authority over those things that make you run your hands through your hair, authority over even people.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It's just your table.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You don't let just anyone come to your table on a podcast I'm just using that example.
- 18:09Speaker 1: And what is very valuable to you?
- 18:11Speaker 1: Sometimes they're pearls.
- 18:12Speaker 1: They're pearls of ideas.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Okay, you don't share them with everyone because they're going to be like threatened that you have a pearl, that you have a desire, that you want to do something.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So keep your pearls close.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Keep a few friends close that celebrate you and not just tolerate you.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Friends that will celebrate those small beginnings, that will say keep the plumb line up.
- 18:38Speaker 1: The word of God yeah, follow what the plumb line up.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The word of God, yeah, follow what the word's telling you.
- 18:41Speaker 1: That burning in your heart, that excitement in your heart might just be from God and not just the two cups of coffee this morning.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I believe in you.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm so passionate because, if you're listening to it this far, you have a purpose, you have a voice, you have something that God lined in your DNA that's going to affect change, first in you, then in those around you.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You know, I also really believe that as you go through your healing, it impacts your family without going around saying I'm so healed family, no, you're just walking out a different look, a different healed look.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It'll even affect your license.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I took my license, I had to go and renew it and I had to take a new picture.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And I looked at that picture from 10 years ago and it was misery and it was heaviness and there was no joy.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And then I looked at the picture from today and it was misery and it was heaviness and there was no joy.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And then I looked at the picture from today.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I was like whoa, is that the same person?
- 19:50Speaker 1: Look at that.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Healing has a face and it may be your face and your healed voice.
- 19:57Speaker 1: That could be someone else's breakthrough.
- 19:58Speaker 1: When we talk about breakthrough, we get all excited Breakthrough for me, breakthrough.
- 20:01Speaker 1: No, the breakthrough is for you, so you could share that breakthrough with someone else.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So someone you may know is in that moment of starting and you're the one who's going to remind them hey, what's your plumb line?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Let the plumb line be the word of God, friend, and you may go on social and encourage someone.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Hey, let the plumb line, let the plumb line be the word of God, friend, and you may go on social and encourage someone.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Hey, let the plumb line, let the word of God align you because it's got the answers.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Doesn't mean you have to say Jesus, jesus all the time, because you are a representation of Jesus in your identity, carrying the authority and the joy and the wisdom to speak.
- 20:39Speaker 1: So that's what I believe about you.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You're stuck no more because you are began.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you have started in that moment and God is rejoicing and he's saying don't despise this moment, don't despise, do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel's hand.
- 21:08Speaker 1: God's given us the plumb line of his word.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So I pray, as you go out today, that you'll remember, you'll bring in that podcast, bring in that course, and the course may be about cooking, but what's your plumb line?
- 21:23Speaker 1: It's still going to be the word of God and that means you're going to talk about Jesus as you cook.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You could do that, but you know what I mean.
- 21:30Speaker 1: You're coming from that place.
- 21:32Speaker 1: You just want someone to make a great cake and there's so much in your desire.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I don't know why I got on baking, because I'm not a baker or a cooker or a cook, all right.
- 21:49Speaker 1: So this is what I would love to see as I'm beginning a new moment.
- 21:53Speaker 1: What's my moment About 2018,?
- 21:55Speaker 1: I had something called the Kingdom Mentor Podcast.
- 21:57Speaker 1: No, kingdom Mentor, it was a podcast.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Kingdom Mentor Academy.
- 22:00Speaker 1: We called it Voice Camp because I was teaching the women how to find their voice from their identity, how to share their voice.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I never got to market your voice because my husband received third degree burns so I had to shut it down.
- 22:13Speaker 1: But I needed to shut it down to get healed, to start walking from my identity, to walk from the scars, not the open wounds.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So I'm beginning in March limited spaces for the Stuck no More Academy.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I'll talk more about it.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Right now, I'm just using the word of God as my plumb line to make sure it's full of what would set you apart with your voice, whether it be on stage, a real, physical stage, or whether it be in a podcast, or whether it would be a voice on social.
- 22:47Speaker 1: If none of those can relate to, maybe it's your voice in your course, in that book, in that song you're creating.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I see you, you've got some massive creators on this podcast.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Massive, talented.
- 23:03Speaker 1: God put lined them in their very DNA with something great.
- 23:08Speaker 1: So you're beginning, it's okay.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Are you in the moment of thinking about it?
- 23:15Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I got a friend who's been contemplating before she moves because she's got a lot of things in her hands contemplating her podcast.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I love that she's.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I'm just letting it stir, letting it sit.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It's a moment, and I know she'll use the plumb line.
