Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you what.
- 0:03Speaker 2: My father did something so darn disrespectful on social media
- 0:07Speaker 2: the other day that we needed to bring it here
- 0:09Speaker 2: to Big ninety eight point seven. I want you to know,
- 0:11Speaker 2: if you are a true middle child, I am with you,
- 0:14Speaker 2: I see you, I hear you, and I feel your
- 0:17Speaker 2: presence every day. Because we got it rough in these streets,
- 0:19Speaker 2: and we got it rough in these social media streets.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We got nowhere.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Gabe, Please, what are you griping about now, you middle child?
- 0:29Speaker 2: It was my father's birthday on July twenty seventh birthday.
- 0:34Speaker 2: If I'm not mistaken, that would have been on Sunday. Yes,
- 0:37Speaker 2: it was right. So on Sunday, Corey and I my wife,
- 0:41Speaker 2: we text dad. You know, my dad heard father in law,
- 0:44Speaker 2: happy birthday. I hope you have a good day. That
- 0:45Speaker 2: was at like ten, and then three thirty four o'clock comes,
- 0:49Speaker 2: we call him, given a nice FaceTime and we chit
- 0:52Speaker 2: chat for twenty minutes, just you know, shooting the breeze.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Wit twenty minute FaceTime.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because we were having dinner. So we are just
- 0:59Speaker 2: doing the old having her with dad type of deal.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Well he's very sweet, yeah, and just wishing him a
- 1:03Speaker 2: happy birthday?
- 1:04Speaker 1: How's his day? All that junk?
- 1:06Speaker 3: For the record, I think a twenty minute FaceTime is
- 1:08Speaker 3: a super long FaceTime.
- 1:10Speaker 2: No, like that's impressive to me. Yeah, this good for nothing?
- 1:17Speaker 2: Old cranky man Old jumps on Facebook the next day,
- 1:24Speaker 2: in July twenty eighth, and he posts, like most people
- 1:28Speaker 2: do after their birthday. Thank you to all who sent
- 1:31Speaker 2: birthday wishes. I spent a very peaceful day at home
- 1:35Speaker 2: with the three people who make my life enjoyable. Thanks Audrey,
- 1:41Speaker 2: Jake and Molly. That is my mother, my older brother, and.
- 1:46Speaker 1: My younger sister.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Is there a thanks.
- 1:51Speaker 2: From Gabe and his lovely wife on this post anywhere?
- 1:55Speaker 5: No?
- 1:57Speaker 4: Oh, Gaby b B. I'm so sorry.
- 2:02Speaker 2: That is really wildly disrespectful.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't live there. What am I supposed to do?
- 2:09Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like the twenty minute.
- 2:11Speaker 3: FaceTime plus he text you in the morning, Dang, he
- 2:14Speaker 3: just really forgot about you.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I really I should have sent him a card or something,
- 2:19Speaker 2: I think, is what I'm learning.
- 2:20Speaker 4: No, I don't think he would have thanked you then either.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I don't know, And so of course i'd jump right
- 2:25Speaker 2: into the comments because I can't help myself. I told him,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I said Corey, and I are never face timing you
- 2:30Speaker 2: again on your birthday ever.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Ever, what did he say?
- 2:35Speaker 3: Oh?
- 2:36Speaker 1: He ignored that too well, he responded.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Earlier in the day he had sent me and Corey
- 2:41Speaker 2: like emoji, but this was when I'd wish him happy
- 2:45Speaker 2: birthday earlier in the day. He responded with a thumbs up,
- 2:47Speaker 2: an AOK, and a couple exclamation points. He didn't say thanks, nothing,
- 2:53Speaker 2: And I asked him where he learned emojis. I didn't
- 2:56Speaker 2: know he knew how to do that, and so he responded,
- 2:59Speaker 2: guess what emoji I'm sending you to aka the middle finger.
- 3:02Speaker 4: I'm oh, that's funny. What's rude?
- 3:06Speaker 2: I don't know what I did to make this old
- 3:08Speaker 2: man angry, but just middle children, I want.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You to know we are a special breed of people.
- 3:14Speaker 2: They are not built like us, because you know what
- 3:17Speaker 2: I did after that devastating moment, I went to work
- 3:21Speaker 2: and I put my bootstraps on or what's that thing?
- 3:24Speaker 4: Pulled yourself up by thank you.
- 3:25Speaker 2: And I continued on with my life so wildly disrespectful.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I'm so sorry, Gabe.
- 3:32Speaker 4: I thank you to your own father. You're forgettable.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Thank you seven two zero one nine eight seven. Uh,
- 3:40Speaker 2: what is the most middle child thing that has ever
- 3:42Speaker 2: happened to you? You could be the oldest, you could
- 3:44Speaker 2: be the youngest, whatever, But have you ever been forgotten?
- 3:48Speaker 1: All right? Let us know.
- 3:49Speaker 2: My mom forgot my younger sister at church once and
- 3:51Speaker 2: we had to go back and pick her up.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But that's about it.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Big deal.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Today's Variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 4:01Speaker 5: Hi? My name's Greg Well. I was just going to
- 4:03Speaker 5: tell you a couple of middle child stories.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yes, I live for a middle child story because I
- 4:09Speaker 2: live this every day.
- 4:10Speaker 1: What do you have for us?
- 4:11Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I'm the oldest, and my sister that's right
- 4:15Speaker 5: below me, she got left on Tom Sawyer's Island at Disneyland.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Oh oh my god.
- 4:21Speaker 5: The whole boat had to turn around and get her.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Then the sister below her, she got left at a
- 4:34Speaker 5: rest stop one time, and at a gas station another time.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Two time.
- 4:41Speaker 2: How far down the road did we make it before
- 4:44Speaker 2: we realized, Hey, Bethany isn't in the.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Car or whatever her name is.
- 4:47Speaker 5: I don't wait.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I bet that didn't feel good?
- 4:53Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 4:54Speaker 2: No, yeah, you know what's that old saying? Angie God
- 4:59Speaker 2: gives his top fist battles to his strongest soldiers. Yeah,
- 5:03Speaker 2: that's us, middle children.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Giz, it's time for am I the Problem,
- 5:14Speaker 3: where you send us your side of the story and
- 5:16Speaker 3: we help you figure out if you're in the right
- 5:19Speaker 3: or if maybe, just maybe you're the problem. By the way,
- 5:22Speaker 3: if you ever want to know if you're the problem,
- 5:25Speaker 3: head to Big nine eight seven dot com, click the
- 5:27Speaker 3: on air tab and submit your am I the Problem?
- 5:31Speaker 1: And I'm great at this.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Oh what determining if people are the problem? That's why
- 5:35Speaker 3: I'm a little concerned for this one. This one is personal.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:38Speaker 3: My boyfriend Mikey and I had a situation that went
- 5:42Speaker 3: down where I think he is very clearly the problem
- 5:46Speaker 3: and he does not. And so he decided, you know what,
- 5:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna take it to Big ninety eight point seven,
- 5:54Speaker 3: and I want.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Specifically you, Gabe. I think he'll think that you're on
- 5:58Speaker 4: his side, but he wants your opinion.
- 5:59Speaker 3: He wants listeners to chime in and let him know
- 6:03Speaker 3: whether he is the problem. He went ahead and said
- 6:06Speaker 3: it in his own words.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Hey, Gabe and Angie, this is Mike, also known as
- 6:12Speaker 6: Angie's Mikey, and I'd like to know. Am I the problem.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I'm used to.
- 6:17Speaker 6: Getting up at three am with Angie to make coffee
- 6:19Speaker 6: and play the New York Times games, and sometimes I
- 6:23Speaker 6: drive her to work, and usually when I get home,
- 6:25Speaker 6: I have this routine or riding my bike, which includes
- 6:30Speaker 6: making a protein shake in the blender so I have
- 6:33Speaker 6: energy on the ride. And Saturdays and Sundays it's no different.
- 6:36Speaker 6: I still ride my bike, I still get up at
- 6:38Speaker 6: three and unfortunately Angie is dead asleep. Of course, I
- 6:45Speaker 6: mean she gets up every morning and this is her
- 6:48Speaker 6: two days to sleep in, so there's very much implied
- 6:52Speaker 6: the do not disturb sign in my head. But to
- 6:56Speaker 6: make a long story short, I on a set used
- 7:01Speaker 6: the blender and she immediately came out of the bedroom
- 7:04Speaker 6: and gave me a hug, which she normally does, but
- 7:07Speaker 6: she also gave me this look that said, if you
- 7:09Speaker 6: do that again, I'm gonna kill you. Yeah, And I
- 7:12Speaker 6: asked her, did I wake you up? And I got
- 7:16Speaker 6: no response, just an evil eye roll.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:20Speaker 6: So I'm gonna make my argument. In order to ride
- 7:24Speaker 6: my bike, I have to have that shake. I can't
- 7:28Speaker 6: just quietly butter a piece of bread and expect to
- 7:31Speaker 6: have the same energy level when I ride. And I
- 7:34Speaker 6: did make the effort. I mean I only blended for
- 7:37Speaker 6: thirty seconds rather than sixty, and I stood close to
- 7:40Speaker 6: the blender to muffle the sound. I had her in
- 7:44Speaker 6: mind when I turned the blender on.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So am I the problem here?
- 7:50Speaker 6: Let me know?
- 7:51Speaker 1: All right? I love this? Who is the problem? What
- 7:55Speaker 1: do you think?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven?
- 7:59Speaker 3: Is Mikey the problem for using the blender when I
- 8:03Speaker 3: was trying to get some sleep.
- 8:05Speaker 2: We will dive into this a little more coming up.
- 8:14Speaker 4: On today's Am I the problem?
- 8:15Speaker 3: My boyfriend Mikey actually wrote in he wants to know
- 8:20Speaker 3: if he's the problem for running the blender while I
- 8:24Speaker 3: was trying to sleep. His defense was he to stick
- 8:28Speaker 3: to his routine on the weekends. He has to drink
- 8:32Speaker 3: this one specific protein shake which requires a blender in
- 8:36Speaker 3: order to have enough energy to go for his daily
- 8:39Speaker 3: bike rides.
- 8:40Speaker 4: He only used the blender for thirty seconds instead of a.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Minute, and he thought that that was a good enough
- 8:48Speaker 3: way to make it okay to use the blender while
- 8:51Speaker 3: I was sleeping. I obviously contend that that was wrong,
- 8:56Speaker 3: and he is the problem.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Really, Gabe, I want to get your.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's clear whose fault this is.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It's clear as day it is you one hundred times
- 9:06Speaker 2: out of me hundred Angie. Well, what is he supposed
- 9:09Speaker 2: to do? Pause his life because you need a little
- 9:12Speaker 2: nappy nat? He's supposed to not go about his morning
- 9:17Speaker 2: because Angie, do w do be telled? Yay?
- 9:21Speaker 1: But he can't wait.
- 9:22Speaker 2: He's never supposed to turn the blender on in the morning.
- 9:26Speaker 4: He could just wait until I'm not sleepy.
- 9:28Speaker 1: What if that's not till ten, eleven, twelve o'clock and I.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Guess you have your bike ride at ten or eleven
- 9:33Speaker 4: or twelve o'clock.
- 9:34Speaker 2: It's ninety five degrees out with the heat in decks
- 9:37Speaker 2: of one hundred.
- 9:38Speaker 1: That's not unsafe.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Do you want Mikey to return home from this bike
- 9:42Speaker 2: ride or collapse on the side of the street because
- 9:44Speaker 2: it's too hot?
- 9:45Speaker 3: I feel very gas lit right now. I feel like
- 9:49Speaker 3: that's a good point. He should be riding his bike
- 9:51Speaker 3: really early in the morning.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yes, it's safer, Oh.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Gabe, I don't like Okay, wait, let me see who's
- 9:58Speaker 4: texting in. There's gotta be who's on my side?
- 10:01Speaker 2: And he could have blended this thing for a minute.
- 10:04Speaker 2: He did thirty seconds. You were in his mind while
- 10:08Speaker 2: he was going in the kitchen.
- 10:13Speaker 3: All right, Gabe, I think you're biased because you love him.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Elena texted in, Clearly he needs more sleep, because that's
- 10:20Speaker 3: just common sense. Don't use a blender while someone is sleeping.
- 10:24Speaker 3: If my husband did that, his bike would be in
- 10:27Speaker 3: the landfill. He sounds like a good man, but he
- 10:30Speaker 3: is the problem here. Sorry, Kaylena, you sound funed parties good. Yes, Well,
- 10:36Speaker 3: I'm just saying.
- 10:38Speaker 4: Listen, I like that. I have one. Ally, it's clearly
- 10:42Speaker 4: Gab and Mikey against Dangie.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Gabe.
- 10:50Speaker 3: This is a rarity in the Morales household. But it
- 10:54Speaker 3: was a necessity. Yesterday I took a.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Three hour nap.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's really good.
- 11:01Speaker 4: From three to six just knocked out.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Me and Mikey just passed out on the couch and
- 11:07Speaker 3: then woke up and it was like it's time for bed.
- 11:10Speaker 4: But we were still so sleepy.
- 11:12Speaker 3: We had road tripped when we went on vacation and
- 11:15Speaker 3: went to our friend's wedding. It was a road trip
- 11:17Speaker 3: and I feel like, even though you're just sitting in
- 11:19Speaker 3: a car forever, right, it still like takes a toll,
- 11:23Speaker 3: and I think our bodies were just very exhausted and
- 11:26Speaker 3: needed some recovery. So we took the three hour nap
- 11:29Speaker 3: then just migrated into the bed and then slept and
- 11:33Speaker 3: then woke up this morning. So I feel like way
- 11:35Speaker 3: more refreshed, way more ready to take on the day,
- 11:39Speaker 3: and that feels good.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I never nap. I'm not a napper.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not much of a napper either, so and
- 11:44Speaker 2: when I do, they're normally like a thirty minute thing.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I'm pretty good at keeping them short.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, my body was like, girl, it bet
- 11:51Speaker 3: it'll be three hours for nothing.
- 11:53Speaker 1: You're going to sleep? Yes, that's right.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Do you remember yesterday, my little victory? Do you remember
- 11:58Speaker 2: yesterday I was talking to how I made this marinade?
- 12:01Speaker 4: Oh yes, how did the for kabobs?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Me tell you, all right, your boy is coming out
- 12:08Speaker 2: with a marinade sauce that is going to be on
- 12:10Speaker 2: a Walmart shelf. Absolutely crushed it. Now, I will say
- 12:14Speaker 2: all I do is or all I do. All I
- 12:16Speaker 2: did was get the idiot proof instructions from my wife,
- 12:20Speaker 2: so I didn't even find this laugh and you know,
- 12:23Speaker 2: you just pour it in the bowl and measure out
- 12:25Speaker 2: some stuff and you're pretty much done.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But it did turn out very good and it was awesome.
- 12:28Speaker 3: I'm glad for you. Listen to some people, and by
- 12:31Speaker 3: some people, I mean myself.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Are not great at cooking.
- 12:35Speaker 3: And a marinade is a little bit too difficult for us. Well,
- 12:39Speaker 3: feel very proud of yourself.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I would say I'm not great either. My wife is
- 12:43Speaker 2: kind and when it's you know, kind of my turner,
- 12:45Speaker 2: when she's like, will you please do this, she always
- 12:48Speaker 2: finds the idiot proof ones.
- 12:50Speaker 3: So the real victory is that you listen to your wife.
- 12:52Speaker 3: That's right, Angie.
- 13:00Speaker 2: You've had kind of an interesting summer, not one that
- 13:03Speaker 2: tons of parents can necessarily relate to unless maybe their
- 13:07Speaker 2: kid goes away to camp or on some trip or something. Yeah,
- 13:09Speaker 2: you've kind of had a kid free summer. Yeah bye, No.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Uh.
- 13:15Speaker 3: This is actually the first summer that I've ever spent
- 13:17Speaker 3: away from my kids because my ex and I are
- 13:20Speaker 3: newly split and he lives in Washington. So the kids,
- 13:24Speaker 3: as of Father's Day were in Washington visiting their dad
- 13:29Speaker 3: and they.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Don't come back until next week.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Like, I've had so much time apart from them, and
- 13:36Speaker 3: in some ways, what a magical, wonderful experience this has been.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And I'm sure in other ways very sad.
- 13:45Speaker 3: No, And another way is very sad because I miss
- 13:48Speaker 3: them so hard. And I was on FaceTime with them
- 13:50Speaker 3: yesterday and like my little one, my older one, he
- 13:54Speaker 3: misses me, but he's not saying cutie adore.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Well he's not expressing it.
- 13:59Speaker 3: He is, but not anyway that makes me go, oh no,
- 14:02Speaker 3: it's like miss you tuber like that. Okay, but the
- 14:06Speaker 3: little one, and so now I'm really ready for them
- 14:09Speaker 3: to come back. Like he said the sweetest, cutest thing
- 14:11Speaker 3: to me yesterday on FaceTime and I just asked, like, okay,
- 14:17Speaker 3: well do you miss me? And he said, I miss
- 14:20Speaker 3: you and I love you for all the days. Oh
- 14:23Speaker 3: and the way he said it like he knows what
- 14:25Speaker 3: he's doing to melt my heart. Yeah, and so yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 3: so cute and so obviously like the minute they're back,
- 14:33Speaker 3: what do you want?
- 14:34Speaker 4: Whatever you want, you can have it.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Like seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 14:39Speaker 2: We want to know, has your kid what's like the
- 14:41Speaker 2: cutest thing your kid has ever said to you?
- 14:44Speaker 1: You know what's interesting?
- 14:45Speaker 2: I would and let's say you and I am not
- 14:47Speaker 2: your your child by any stretch.
- 14:49Speaker 1: But what let's.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Say let's say you had texted me like, oh I
- 14:54Speaker 2: miss you, blah blah blah. I would respond a lot
- 14:57Speaker 2: more like your fifteen year old than your eight year old.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah heck yeah bruh. Yeah see yah, I can't be
- 15:05Speaker 2: bothered to tell about you, no, see yea soon.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:08Speaker 4: See.
- 15:08Speaker 3: That's why when they're little you have to like really
- 15:11Speaker 3: cherish the cutie things that they say, because eventually it'll just.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Turn into like scubity or whatever.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Darby, what's a cute thing your kid has said?
- 15:20Speaker 5: We were watching the sunset and my four year old
- 15:22Speaker 5: daughter goes, Mommy, the sky is doing a big sleepy.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Oh co that's actually heart melting, Ethan, what about you.
- 15:34Speaker 6: My son went to ask me if the sun was
- 15:36Speaker 6: getting tired and wanted to go to sleep early because
- 15:38Speaker 6: it was super hot outside, and I told him the
- 15:40Speaker 6: sun pretty much goes to bed at the same time
- 15:42Speaker 6: every day.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I'm telling you, little kids are fascinated with the sun
- 15:48Speaker 3: and sunsets.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:49Speaker 3: When my kid was little, that's all he cared about
- 15:52Speaker 3: was the sky and the clouds.
- 15:54Speaker 1: There is something actually really adorable about that is.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Not about the.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Money, money, money.
- 16:02Speaker 4: You don't need your money money, money.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Sometimes it is about the money, money, money, Angie, I'll
- 16:08Speaker 2: tell you right now. No, I want to know what's
- 16:11Speaker 2: the cheapest date you've ever been on? And there's multiple
- 16:14Speaker 2: reasons we asked this, but we discovered yesterday you know
- 16:19Speaker 2: how rising living costs are insane. Right, you might be
- 16:24Speaker 2: doing things with your family to try to save a
- 16:25Speaker 2: couple bucks. You might be doing things different in your
- 16:28Speaker 2: kitchen to save a couple bucks. Yeah, maybe doing less
- 16:30Speaker 2: things in your kitchen, to say, whatever it might be.
- 16:33Speaker 2: And if you are single and trying to well have
- 16:37Speaker 2: a social life also save money, it can be tough.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Oh for sure.
- 16:41Speaker 2: All right, you're probably doing a lot more walks in
- 16:43Speaker 2: the park than you used to back and say, then
- 16:46Speaker 2: maybe going to a restaurant in a movie now.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Actually fun and free is what we're looking for.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, instead of a restaurant in a movie or dinner
- 16:52Speaker 2: in a movie, you're probably just doing the movie now, Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 4: And mattinee for sure.
- 16:58Speaker 2: So seven oh one two eight z zaro one nine
- 17:00Speaker 2: eight seven what is the cheapest date you've ever been on?
- 17:04Speaker 2: And Angie has a fabulous story about spaghetti and Napkins.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Okay, Yes, the cheapest date I've ever been am I
- 17:12Speaker 3: okay to launch into this because now I'm like fired up.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Oh, let it rip you out.
- 17:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 17:17Speaker 3: So the cheapest date I've ever been on was a
- 17:20Speaker 3: date with Solin Strickland. I don't care I have to
- 17:22Speaker 3: say his name because what he did was unacceptable.
- 17:25Speaker 7: So Solen takes me to the movies to go see
- 17:32Speaker 7: The Longest Yard, the remake with Adam Sandler.
- 17:36Speaker 3: We go see this movie. He paid for the movie.
- 17:38Speaker 3: It was a matinee, so it was pretty pretty cheap, right.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I didn't bring any money with me on the date
- 17:43Speaker 3: because you girl was broke, so but he asked me
- 17:46Speaker 3: to the movie. So in my head it's like the
- 17:48Speaker 3: person who asks for the date pays for the date.
- 17:52Speaker 3: That's my logic. I didn't bring any money with me.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Takes me to the movies.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Cool.
- 17:56Speaker 3: We did not have any snacks at the movies, by
- 17:58Speaker 3: the way, it was just we watching this movie dry
- 18:01Speaker 3: so just movie.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I didn't know if I could say that.
- 18:06Speaker 3: So after the movie he asks if I'm hungry. But
- 18:10Speaker 3: that's a part of the date where I'm like, okay,
- 18:12Speaker 3: I know I didn't bring any money. He didn't ask
- 18:15Speaker 3: me to dinner initially to get food initially, so I
- 18:18Speaker 3: was like worried, and I said.
- 18:19Speaker 1: No, you thought you had like a two hour time commitment.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Here, Yeah, exactly. And then I was worried about if
- 18:24Speaker 3: I had to pay or not. So I just said no,
- 18:25Speaker 3: I'm not hungry, and he said, oh, well I am,
- 18:28Speaker 3: so can like let's stop at Wendy's. And I was like, okay, cool, gorgios.
- 18:32Speaker 3: We go to Wendy's. We stand in line. There was
- 18:36Speaker 3: a lengthy line.
- 18:38Speaker 4: We get to the front.
- 18:40Speaker 3: He orders everything he wants to order. It was like
- 18:42Speaker 3: a combo meal with an extra side, and it was
- 18:45Speaker 3: like extra.
- 18:46Speaker 4: It was a lot. And he looks at me and goes,
- 18:49Speaker 4: you got this right.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Not only was it a cheap date, you know you're
- 18:57Speaker 2: going to a fast food restaurant.
- 18:59Speaker 1: You were gonna be negative, right, Yes?
- 19:03Speaker 3: I said no, I didn't bring any money with me.
- 19:07Speaker 4: I'm not even hungry, and he I mean.
- 19:10Speaker 3: The biggest eye roll and sigh like, and then didn't
- 19:16Speaker 3: just pay for it himself.
- 19:18Speaker 4: He said, never mind.
- 19:20Speaker 3: He can't kill the audacity. Well, it gets better or worse,
- 19:26Speaker 3: depending on how you look at it. We get outside
- 19:28Speaker 3: We're walking to his car and he goes, well, do
- 19:30Speaker 3: you have any food at your house that you could make?
- 19:34Speaker 2: Bro?
- 19:34Speaker 4: What?
- 19:35Speaker 3: But I said yes, I'm a people pleaser, so I
- 19:38Speaker 3: was like, yeah, I do. And I lived at home
- 19:40Speaker 3: with my parents at this point. Important to know I
- 19:43Speaker 3: was eighteen years old. He was eighteen years old. So
- 19:47Speaker 3: I'm like, I mean I could make you some spaghetti.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I knew that was the only thing we had in
- 19:51Speaker 3: the house, and he.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Was like, okay, that works. So I was like, I
- 19:53Speaker 4: guess we get in this car.
- 19:55Speaker 1: He said, yes, that's crazy, yes.
- 19:57Speaker 4: And we drive to my house. He sitting in the kitchen.
- 20:01Speaker 3: We're chit chatting while I make spaghetti. Nothing fancy to it. It
- 20:04Speaker 3: was just the spaghetti, sauce and some good old craft
- 20:07Speaker 3: Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. We sit the bulls down,
- 20:12Speaker 3: we're eating, and he goes, hey, do you have any napkins?
- 20:16Speaker 3: And I said, oh yeah, I get up, I rip
- 20:19Speaker 3: a couple of paper towels off the roll, and I
- 20:22Speaker 3: come back and he handed him the paper towel.
- 20:25Speaker 4: He looks at.
- 20:26Speaker 3: It with disgust and says, you don't have actual napkins.
- 20:34Speaker 3: The disrespect God, Bro that is crazy work to cancel
- 20:39Speaker 3: your Wendy's order because you don't want to pay for it,
- 20:43Speaker 3: have me make you dinner, and then be disgusted that
- 20:48Speaker 3: I use paper towels as napkins. Needless to say, we
- 20:54Speaker 3: got married and had two kids. No, I did go
- 20:59Speaker 3: on a second date with him, though out of sheer
- 21:01Speaker 3: morbid curiosity, and we went on a tennis date because
- 21:04Speaker 3: I knew that was free.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Homeboy hit me in the face with the tennis ball
- 21:07Speaker 4: on the first service.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Seven oh one to eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 21:11Speaker 2: The cheapest date you've ever been on. And hey, cheap
- 21:14Speaker 2: doesn't necessarily mean bad. It could have been a cheap date.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Now it's the love of your life and you've been
- 21:19Speaker 2: together forever. Cheap doesn't have to be negative either. A
- 21:28Speaker 2: poll of twenty five thousand people has found that Babe
- 21:32Speaker 2: is now the most popular pet name in America. It's
- 21:36Speaker 2: the most popular name for your significant other when you're Oridge,
- 21:41Speaker 2: when you're being cutesie.
- 21:42Speaker 1: That's exactly right now, Angie.
- 21:44Speaker 2: There are a lot of people who are willing to
- 21:46Speaker 2: share their significant other pet name ye on social media.
- 21:50Speaker 2: On the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page and babe.
- 21:53Speaker 2: You know that's easy to say in public. That's not
- 21:56Speaker 2: like super embarrassing. What you text your signal?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Other? Is the real pet name?
- 22:02Speaker 2: That's the one that you know no one has to see,
- 22:04Speaker 2: you know, Beyer is about what is the last pet
- 22:10Speaker 2: name you texted Mikey?
- 22:11Speaker 7: Oh?
- 22:12Speaker 3: You know what I said, me viva, which in Spanish
- 22:16Speaker 3: literally translates to my life.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Like that, you're my life.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Oh I like that. I kind of want to steal that.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Yeah, me meva or miamude.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I've heard that one for sure.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:26Speaker 4: I don't say them out loud, really, yeah, but I
- 22:30Speaker 4: say them in text.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Listen, Mikey loves that I am Latina and so when
- 22:36Speaker 3: I could throw some Spanish in there, it.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Is all about it. What about you, Gabe? What what's
- 22:40Speaker 4: the last thing you called?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Cory this morning?
- 22:42Speaker 2: Corey texted me at five fifty seven am and you know,
- 22:46Speaker 2: good morning, blah blah blah. My response, Good morning, baby cakes,
- 22:49Speaker 2: hope you have a good day blah blah blah.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Baby cakes.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Is so cute, very very manly of me, right there. Hey,
- 22:57Speaker 2: I'm willing to admit that in front of well, I
- 22:59Speaker 2: guess just what is your significant other's pet name. I
- 23:06Speaker 2: really really love this one from our girl, Kelly. Okay,
- 23:10Speaker 2: Kelly came in with some fire. She came in with
- 23:13Speaker 2: some heat. Kelly said. My husband calls me Lucy. The
- 23:16Speaker 2: female version of Lucifer is just fabulous.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Oh that's cute.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Okay, Well, Sarah said, honey bunches of oats.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Oh, I think that's a cute one. No satan reference.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I've used honey bunches of oats. Actually, now I think
- 23:34Speaker 1: about that.
- 23:35Speaker 4: That's a good one.
- 23:36Speaker 1: That's fabulous. Someone borrow that one.
- 23:38Speaker 4: My favorite though.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Victoria said that her husband calls her Mama because she
- 23:43Speaker 3: was a single mom of two when they met, and
- 23:45Speaker 3: she calls him boppy and I like that.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Oh, well, is it like is it like poppy or.
- 23:55Speaker 4: No, it's Boppy.
- 24:03Speaker 2: There is an eight year old named Matteo who recently
- 24:06Speaker 2: gave twenty three dollars he received for his birthday to
- 24:09Speaker 2: a homeless woman selling candy on the side of the road,
- 24:13Speaker 2: telling his mom that he wanted her to be able
- 24:14Speaker 2: to buy formula for her baby. Her mother, Daniella, captured
- 24:19Speaker 2: the moment and posted it on social media, where it
- 24:21Speaker 2: quickly went viral and the video showing Matteo's spontaneous generosity
- 24:27Speaker 2: has touched the hearts of viewers around the world. As
- 24:30Speaker 2: the story has gained traction, strangers have been reaching out
- 24:34Speaker 2: to Santos, which is Danielle, offering birthday gifts for Mateo.
- 24:39Speaker 2: When offered the chance to keep the money, he instead
- 24:41Speaker 2: asked if he could use it to help more people,
- 24:44Speaker 2: and this led to the creation of a crowdfund campaign,
- 24:47Speaker 2: with one hundred percent of donations going to support people
- 24:51Speaker 2: in need through small direct acts of kindness. Matteo's mom
- 24:55Speaker 2: says his compassion is part of who he is, shape
- 24:57Speaker 2: by values taught at home and her own work with
- 25:00Speaker 2: children with special needs. The viral moment has not only
- 25:04Speaker 2: sparked an outpouring of love and support online, but it
- 25:07Speaker 2: has also started a broader effort to do good, with
- 25:10Speaker 2: Matteo leading by example and inspiring others to give.
- 25:15Speaker 1: How sweet is that I knew I get you today.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I saw that story.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I was like, this one is gonna get Angie today.
- 25:22Speaker 2: What a beautiful story. An incredible eight year old and
- 25:24Speaker 2: incredible mom and just a very sweet thing of a
- 25:27Speaker 2: lot of people wanted to help out Mateo, who is
- 25:29Speaker 2: then helping out others.
- 25:30Speaker 4: Yeah, when you have the opportunity to do good, do good.
- 25:35Speaker 2: That's right. The world is full of nice people. If
- 25:37Speaker 2: you can't find one, you gotta be one.
