- 0:01Big warnings about silver and gold from a coin shop veteran
- 0:06from every corner of the planet. We're going to talk about why
- 0:10this could impact you, impact your silver and your gold.
- 0:14Today, we're joined by the one and only the king of junk Silver
- 0:18Coin shop. Chris, welcome to Ron's
- 0:20basement. How you doing, Ron?
- 0:22It's been a while since we've had the Hurricane Emery and
- 0:25everything else down here. Every, everything's going great.
- 0:29Chris. We, we appreciate you joining us
- 0:31today. We know you have special
- 0:33insights into what is going on right now in the silver and gold
- 0:38market. And obviously for all of us,
- 0:40right, including our very important, very important viewer
- 0:44who's joining us. It's been a rough 8 or 9 days in
- 0:48this market. So we've got reason for
- 0:50optimism, but you also have some kind of scary news from people
- 0:54you've talked to all over the world.
- 0:57And we're going to talk about that in a few minutes.
- 0:59But let's go take a quick look at the price of silver and gold
- 1:02this morning. Do an update as to what is
- 1:06happening because as we know, we've gone through quite a
- 1:09period of, let's say, consolidation.
- 1:11Here we are channel sponsor Pinbex's website.
- 1:14I'm going to do an update on the silver and gold price.
- 1:16OK. Hey, Chris Coin chef Chris
- 1:19brings good luck. Silver's up $0.07 per oz, Gold
- 1:23that went down only $4.00 per oz.
- 1:26And compared to what we've been going through lately, that's
- 1:28pretty darn good. Thank you to Pinbeck's for
- 1:30sponsoring Ron's Basement. If you want to get your hands on
- 1:34silver, gold or platinum group metals and you want to get great
- 1:37prices, ultra competitive pricing, great selection and a
- 1:40company that you can trust, you can call him on the phone, talk
- 1:43to Mike or Brian, the owners of the company.
- 1:46They're both Cpas. They always encourage everyone
- 1:49to stack responsibly. These are great guys with a
- 1:52mission to get as much metal into the hands of the stacking
- 1:55community as possible at the best prices, the best value.
- 2:00Chris, how have you been doing lately?
- 2:03Well, we've been doing great, Ron.
- 2:05We survived the hurricane and we gained the shop back in order
- 2:08and people are fixing up their homes down here and it's been a
- 2:12challenge, but we're, but we're making it, Ron.
- 2:16Sounds good, buddy. We're going to get to your
- 2:19warnings that you have for our viewer about what's happening in
- 2:23these people you've talked to from around the world literally.
- 2:27And and I think it's critical information for people to hear
- 2:30about silver and gold. I want to touch on two more
- 2:32things quickly before we do that.
- 2:35Let's talk about manipulation. Do you think the price of silver
- 2:38possibly is manipulated a little bit, Chris?
- 2:42110% Ron. Oh well, look at.
- 2:45This. Look at look at this from the
- 2:48dude on X right. This is yesterday's data.
- 2:51If we go down here you can see trade date Wednesday the 13th of
- 2:55November. The silver market, the
- 2:57electronic paper Unicorn fart dust silver market traded only
- 3:02467,000,000 paper oz. OK, unbelievable.
- 3:09Still trading more than 50% of the entire world's annual
- 3:14output, OK, of silver in one day.
- 3:18I mean, it's just absolutely crazy what is going on in the,
- 3:23in the, in the silver market and it's going on all over the
- 3:26world. Now you've, you've been talking
- 3:28to some people throughout the world, Chris, what are you, what
- 3:30are you learning? Get tell us these stories about
- 3:33the about the two people you've talked to recently that are
- 3:36issuing some caution to the gold and silver stacking community.
- 3:41Well, let's, well, let's start with India first, Ron, I mean,
- 3:46you know, he, he comes over for the holidays every single year,
- 3:50him and his family. He has a brother that lives in
- 3:52the. We lost you, Chris.
- 4:00Chris. Hi, Chris.
- 4:01An ounce of silver, folks, An ounce.
- 4:05Can you hear me? I can hear you now, but we.
- 4:08I'm here. OK, go ahead.
- 4:10So you said you talked about your friend Amir, and then we
- 4:12lost you from there. OK, Can you hear me?
- 4:16OK, I, I talked to him. Yes, I go ahead.
- 4:21I can. So I talked to my friend.
- 4:24I mean, he comes from, he comes from India and he has family
- 4:30here and he comes for the holidays and he says when people
- 4:34get an ounce of silver in India, what he does, he, he's, he's a
- 4:38doctor and he gives people one ounce of silver and he can pay
- 4:44that for about two months of lunches.
- 4:46Sometimes it's a month and a half, depending on the silver
- 4:49rate and stuff like that. But they're Ruby rupee is worth
- 4:53about 1 cent in American dollars.
- 4:57So they need a lot of Ruby, their own money to, you know,
- 5:01their average light bill on is 23 to $50.00 a month.
- 5:05That don't sound like a lot to us, but to them that is a lot.
- 5:09Their average monthly pay in India is about $201.00 a month.
- 5:17Wow in American money. So take that.
- 5:20So, you know, take a couple of tubes of serving eagles.
- 5:24That's their, that's their yearly income.
- 5:27And people are living together, Families are living together,
- 5:31grandparents, kids and and grandkids are all living
- 5:35together. But they're all working to make
- 5:37ends meet, so an ounce of silver can go a long way, $100 bill in
- 5:43our money can buy 13 nights in a five star hotel in India.
- 5:49Wow, that's just amazing. Let's pack our bags and go to
- 5:53India. For how long?
- 5:54A week? A month?
- 6:00Are you there, Chris? Two weeks, $100.
- 6:04Can buy. Can buy a fancy hotel room.
- 6:08I'm here. OK, yeah, we got.
- 6:10You I'm here. Yeah, I can hear you, Chris.
- 6:12We can hear you. What's he, what is he saying
- 6:16about the general attitudes about towards silver in India?
- 6:21People love, people love Silver Lawn, OK.
- 6:25People just love silver. They're stacking like little
- 6:28BBS. That is what they are stacking
- 6:33in jars and stuff like that. India's not big on tips, but the
- 6:38since he does make house calls, he does get little babies.
- 6:42And I had a question for him. He's I said, how can you verify
- 6:46the silver's real? He says, well, that's kind of
- 6:49hard to do. But he said when you take it to
- 6:51the milk, the melter, he says it's normally coming back about
- 6:5599.3% silver, most of it. So he gets paid out on the value
- 7:02on that. You know, he's allowed to bring
- 7:06him and the team allowed to bring so much silver back every
- 7:08single trip when they come in, his brother sends him so much
- 7:12silver every single month. People's eyes are just lighting
- 7:16up with silver. And he said these are his words.
- 7:20The American people better wake the hell up and get more silver
- 7:25before it comes. The dollar going to be crashing.
- 7:29His words, not mine, not trying to scare people, but you know,
- 7:35he, they're part of the bricks on they're part of the bricks,
- 7:38you know, and they are trying to get away from the US dollar as
- 7:43much as possible. They are as well.
- 7:46Yeah, well, and it sounds like that's what we say a lot as
- 7:49well. Like the American people that
- 7:50are wake the heck up because the dollar, I think Americans and
- 7:55our viewer who's joining us right now, I don't think any of
- 7:58us have really. We've gone through a slow motion
- 8:02currency collapse. I would argue that since 1971,
- 8:06when the value of the dollars lost 99% of its value as
- 8:10compared to gold, that we've gone through what is a slow
- 8:13motion currency collapse. But that's it's going to get
- 8:16worse over the next 50 years. You know, when we look at the US
- 8:20debt clock, there's no denying that it's going to get worse.
- 8:23Do you mind if we take a quick field trip out and look at the
- 8:26US debt clock, Chris? Go right ahead.
- 8:30Here we go, guys. Here.
- 8:34No, we're at 35 trillion, 998 billion U.S. dollars, OK, we
- 8:40are, we are any minute now going to eclipse the $36 trillion
- 8:46level in national debt. So to think that what this guy
- 8:49from India is saying regarding the rupee can't happen in the
- 8:53United States. Well, it's already happened over
- 8:55the last 50 years, right? The dollar lost, I think the
- 8:58Rick Rule said it the other day, during the 1970's, the dollar
- 9:02lost 75% of its value. OK.
- 9:05And, and, and, and so to think that now in the coming, I'd say
- 9:105 or 10 years, I can see the dollar losing another 75 or 80%
- 9:15of its value, especially with with these massive changes and
- 9:20massive, you know, kind of propositions that we have about,
- 9:24about what President Donald Trump is going to want to do.
- 9:27I mean, you know, getting rid of the federal income tax, getting
- 9:30rid of taxes, you know, whatever.
- 9:32Like, hey, that money's got to come from somewhere right now.
- 9:35I'm not making a political statement at all, right?
- 9:37I think people know which way I lean politically.
- 9:40But this same situation is heading to a country near you.
- 9:45And if you're joining us today from the United States, well,
- 9:50then, you know, we could see the same thing happening here.
- 9:54And he and he said once, you know, once these dolls come
- 9:57home, we're going in hyperinflation line, we're going
- 10:00to, we're going to see prices we never seen before and there's
- 10:05nobody's going to stop it. I mean, there's nobody's going
- 10:07to stop it, you know, he said. Get ready for $15 gallons of
- 10:12gas, get ready for $12.00 gallon milk.
- 10:15And a lot of people don't think we think we're joking, but we've
- 10:20always seen prices go up. They have stabilized a little
- 10:23bit right now. And I believe that's through
- 10:264:00 because of the upcoming holidays.
- 10:29I think after we get past the holidays, we're going to start
- 10:32seeing more inflation that we never seen before, right?
- 10:37Yeah, we're living in a, we're living in a fantasy land right
- 10:40now, you know, where, where things are still somewhat
- 10:44manageable. There's all this glow about a
- 10:46new president and things, you know, World Peace is going to
- 10:49break out and the economy is going to be strong and blah,
- 10:53blah, blah. But, you know, let's see two or
- 10:55three or four or six months from now or nine months from now
- 10:59where we are. And again, not a political
- 11:01statement, just looking at the actual facts on the ground,
- 11:04right. And I'll point this out.
- 11:06I heard a talk a top economist say this just just yesterday.
- 11:11If the economy was so strong like they say it is right now,
- 11:15right by dynamics is working right?
- 11:17If it's if the economy was so strong, commodity prices
- 11:22wouldn't be crashing like they are.
- 11:25Commodities across the board, oils down, wheat all the all the
- 11:30all the farm farming commodities are down.
- 11:32Silver and gold are down, coppers struggling.
- 11:36If the economy was actually so strong, right, we would have
- 11:40booming commodity prices just like we have this booming.
- 11:44I mean, what's booming right now?
- 11:46Does the stock market? It's already a bubble.
- 11:48It's a double bubble. I was talking with Mike from
- 11:50Pembex this morning and he talked about what I said
- 11:53yesterday, which is, you know, the stock market is a bubble.
- 11:57And now it's like a double bubble.
- 11:58And then if you, you know, by any measurement, look at where
- 12:02the stock market is compared to any other time in history,
- 12:05whether it's the tech bubble or right before the great financial
- 12:08crisis or even right before the Great Depression.
- 12:10And then I we are at like unbelievable value.
- 12:13None of it makes sense. And now it's even going higher.
- 12:16And then you've got Bitcoin, which I know you love, Chris
- 12:19Bitcoin, and I'm not anti Bitcoin.
- 12:21We're all on the same team, but bitcoins being blown up.
- 12:25There's we're living in this like fantasy land right now is
- 12:28what it feels like. Absolutely.
- 12:30You know, and you know, I don't do too much politics either on,
- 12:35you know, this is not a political statement at all.
- 12:37People wanted to change. So people put Trump back in and
- 12:42he made, you know, he's not able to vote in this country.
- 12:45But he made a prediction. And what what he's saying is he
- 12:49says he thinks by the end of next year of 2025 that we're
- 12:54going to see a financial collapse in this country that we
- 12:57never seen before. It's been well worse in 2008.
- 13:02And they're all going to point the things that Trump because
- 13:04he's in office and that the Democrats are going to try to
- 13:08point the things at him. See, this is what this is what
- 13:10the Republicans do and they're going to point and it's not and
- 13:14it's not going to be his fault. I mean, you know, he is not
- 13:17going to be. And I want to make that crystal
- 13:19clear. It don't matter if who got in
- 13:20office, if not who, if not the presidents.
- 13:24Presidents don't make law. Congress makes law.
- 13:26If people, he said. If people want to make a change
- 13:30in this country, we got to change Congress, in the Senate.
- 13:34That's what he said. Yeah, yeah.
- 13:37And both. Of.
- 13:41The there, there's unbelievable amounts of of change going on
- 13:44and there is speculation. We lost you there for a second,
- 13:47Chris. But I want to point this out and
- 13:48I'm going to emphasize speculation.
- 13:51I've heard from several people that they're setting this, like
- 13:55with this market exploding now, everything exploding up that
- 13:59they're setting Trump up for, like you talked about a
- 14:02potential crisis in the next year, 2 years, whatever.
- 14:05We'll see how all that plays out.
- 14:07We know that 2024 has been relatively crisis free.
- 14:12It'll be interesting to see how things go down the future.
- 14:15Chris, you want to move, move on and talk about China here for a
- 14:18second. Yeah, I mean, I, I know a woman
- 14:22in in Maine, She's been in this country.
- 14:24She's able to vote and she. But what's going on in China is
- 14:30people are stacking gold beans. They look like a bean.
- 14:35They're about a gram each. And it's a lot of younger
- 14:39people. She's getting reports from back
- 14:42home. A lot of younger people, like
- 14:4418, they're starting at 18. They're stacking little gold
- 14:48Graham beans, and they're getting their yuan out of the
- 14:53system. But China is telling their
- 14:55people to stack silver and gold. Now.
- 14:58China's not so much on the. Yep, we lost him there for a
- 15:07second while while he gets back and reconnected.
- 15:09Let's go out and since we're on the subject of China and just
- 15:14check Chris, you're back. I hear you.
- 15:17Yep, I hear you. OK, we lost you there for a
- 15:19second. Go ahead.
- 15:20You talked about the young people going out buying these 1
- 15:24gram beans. Go ahead.
- 15:26Yeah, they go buy these and their shops can that does not
- 15:31have enough every day she she's like think about a Brinks truck
- 15:34coming to the location every single day.
- 15:36They get so much for a day, they're sold out in hours.
- 15:41Young people. And it's not just young people,
- 15:43it's every type of age. But she's a lot of younger
- 15:46people are buying gold and. That's interesting because my
- 15:54friend, his name's Chin and he's a PhD.
- 15:59He grew up in China, his family still on China.
- 16:02He's telling me kind of the same thing.
- 16:04And he also says that, you know, he made this point, which is he
- 16:07confirmed what what you read in the press about China, that
- 16:11people are crazy about gold and silver right now, absolutely
- 16:16crazy about it. And I'll never forget him
- 16:19telling me he's like, that's because the stock market crash.
- 16:22That's because the real estate market, their real estate
- 16:25market, they're going through what we went through in O seven
- 16:28O 8. Their residential real estate
- 16:30market has crashed. OK.
- 16:32And what's even more interesting over there is people in China
- 16:36are smarter. They don't really trust the
- 16:38banks. They know paper money is just
- 16:40that paper money's like, so everybody's buying gold and
- 16:44silver right now, which sounds like what this your friend from
- 16:47Maine who's also still very well connected to China is telling
- 16:50you as well. Are you there, Chris?
- 16:56Exactly. And she's done.
- 16:58She's. I'm here.
- 17:00OK, go ahead. I'm here.
- 17:04OK, all right, she but she's taking 90% silver for her
- 17:08business and she said she don't get a lot.
- 17:11He will accept 90% silver. She's going to get a Sigma next
- 17:15year and she's going to start taking Oz still for payment
- 17:19piece. She says it's very low amount of
- 17:21people. She said maybe like a less than
- 17:241% of her sales are paid a 90% silver right now.
- 17:29So I mean, we got get she says people need to wake up.
- 17:32She basically said she's like driving Miss Daisy, but Miss
- 17:36Daisy's in the back seat actually driving because the
- 17:38driver is asleep at the wheel. That's how she put it.
- 17:43And Miss Daisy's trying to and she's trying to save from having
- 17:47the vehicle, but having an accident run.
- 17:49That's what she that's how she described it.
- 17:53In terms of the kind of the general American attitude
- 17:56towards silver, huh, Very, very interesting.
- 17:59Yeah. When you talk to people, and I
- 18:01talk to a lot of Indian people, my kids are friends with an
- 18:03Indian guy, but a lot of some Indian neighbors.
- 18:06I got a neighbor across the street, asfaha.
- 18:10He's from a little country in northern Africa called Eritrea,
- 18:13which is right next to Ethiopia. Greatest guy, one of my best
- 18:16friends and I'll never forget this kind of when I first met
- 18:21him. He's very successful.
- 18:23His kids have been very successful.
- 18:24Hardest working couple I've ever met in my life.
- 18:26But I was talking to him one day, his son was in law school
- 18:30and he was talking about his son and he's like, yeah, my son's in
- 18:33law school. His son now works for one of the
- 18:35big four accounting firms. And anyway, his son was in law
- 18:38school at the time and he's like, he's in law school.
- 18:41His son at the same time had started like a tax preparation
- 18:45business down in Orlando, FL and his son was really, always
- 18:49really into cars like Nissan's and Honda's, you know, fixing
- 18:53them up and all that. And he could work on cars.
- 18:54He's like, my son has three things that he can do.
- 18:57But what he said, the way he described it was he said he has
- 19:00three things he can do to get the gold right.
- 19:05To get the. I'll never forget.
- 19:06I'm saying that to get the gold. He didn't say to make money.
- 19:09He said to get the gold. And, and since then subsequent,
- 19:13I've talked to him and he's like, Oh yeah, gold is like in
- 19:16Eritrea, you know, that which is a, a poorer country in Africa.
- 19:20But they do have some goals. Like gold is what people, that's
- 19:25how they that's how they measure their wealth, right?
- 19:28And that's, and that's prevalent all over the world.
- 19:31It's very, very, very interesting.
- 19:33And she and she made one more point, Ron, she says, why is
- 19:37China? She's asking me this and I
- 19:39didn't have no. We lost you, Chris.
- 19:49All right, we'll wait for Chris to come back.
- 19:51And while we do that, Speaking of China, let's go out and take
- 19:54a look at the latest data. From the brains.
- 19:58OK, we lost you, Chris again. Sorry.
- 20:02That's OK, you said. One more point from your friend
- 20:04in China. Yes, she's they're stockpiling
- 20:08food grains, rice, beans. Why she's like, she's trying to
- 20:13figure out what is really going on.
- 20:15Why are people all sudden, you know, for the last couple years
- 20:19stockpiling gold in silver and you know, nobody can figure it
- 20:24out. I get, I guess nobody can figure
- 20:26it out. What?
- 20:29So I mean, we're all trying to figure it out.
- 20:32Yeah, they're they're they're stockpiling grains.
- 20:34Let's go out. I'm going to take us out.
- 20:36And then you want to give a one more warning and some insights
- 20:39on regards to what you're seeing in the 90% Silver Arena.
- 20:43But I was taking everybody out. We don't want to do a quick
- 20:45check on the. You want to say Shanghai for me,
- 20:49Chris? Shanghai, that good enough?
- 20:53Yeah, that's great. Shanghai Gold Exchange.
- 20:55This is yesterday's data. Silver as you can see right
- 20:59here, AG priced in U.S. dollars in China right now, $33 per oz.
- 21:07Now if we go to pin backs, let's do a quick check on the silver
- 21:12price in the United States, OK, we're up 15 cents, $30.50.
- 21:18So the silver price in China almost I would say what about
- 21:228%, nine percent higher in China for physical metal.
- 21:27And remember the Shanghai, I say hi cuz the price is always
- 21:30higher in China is a physical, physical market.
- 21:35Chris, what are you seeing? You're seeing some interesting
- 21:38developments in the 90% constitutional silver arena.
- 21:43I want to remind our viewers, some people call it junk, some
- 21:47people call it constitutional, some people call it 90% in here.
- 21:52I have some right here. I can show the audience, right?
- 21:55Anything half silver dollars, there's a half dollar Dimes
- 22:00quarters, any, any US coinage pre 1960 or 191964 and earlier
- 22:08is made out of 90% silver. They aren't making any more of
- 22:11it. And are you seeing any, anything
- 22:14that you think is, let's say interesting in that market right
- 22:17now, Chris and Chris is not there?
- 22:23What? What I've seen wrong last
- 22:25Saturday with the shop? I'm here.
- 22:28I'm here. Right, Go keep talking while we
- 22:31got you. I'm here.
- 22:33OK, keep talking, Chris. Yes, I hear you.
- 22:42OK. I can hear you.
- 22:43All right. 90% server last Saturday, we had about almost
- 22:47$1500 worth of Dimes. They're gone.
- 22:50And one day that is unheard of, 4 hour shop.
- 22:54We just didn't. Everybody wanted Dimes.
- 22:56I don't know where it all came from.
- 22:58I just don't. I mean Dimes were gone.
- 23:00We still can't find Dimes. We had $50.00 of the Dimes come
- 23:03in this past week and they were gone on the same day.
- 23:07What we are doing, Ron, we are offering coupons.
- 23:11If they want to buy $10.00 for the face of Franklin's walking
- 23:16or quarters, Ron, and they want to exchange it, we're offering
- 23:1990 days to return them for the same price to get their Dimes.
- 23:23Are we telling people to go to like your sponsor Pinbacks
- 23:26because they have a great place on Dimes to go to Pinbacks?
- 23:30We have no other choice. We can't find them.
- 23:32We've called other coin shops across the country.
- 23:35They gain low or they don't want to give them up.
- 23:39That is what's going on. So I don't know what you found
- 23:43out or Pinbacks because I know you talked to Pinbacks about
- 23:45Dimes two, just two day 2 on. Yeah, I talked to M1 of the
- 23:50owners of Pembacs and I asked him and he he checked on what
- 23:53you kind of what their inventory look like and they had, he said
- 23:56they're plenty in stock, right. But he did make a comment that
- 24:01the amount of 90% Dimes in particular that they have in
- 24:05stock was probably trending towards definitely the lower
- 24:09side. So meaning that, you know,
- 24:13compared to let's say over the last year or two, the, the, the
- 24:16amount of, of, of silver Dimes that they have a 90%
- 24:20constitutional Dimes in stock is definitely, you know, leaning
- 24:25towards the lower side. We can't say like sold out or a
- 24:28shortage or anything like that, but that there are some some
- 24:32kind of developing signs of stress within within that
- 24:35market. All right, Chris, thanks for
- 24:41joining us today. OK, we're going to look forward
- 24:43to seeing you next time. I want to remind everybody that
- 24:46Coin Shop Chris the one and only has his own YouTube channel.
- 24:50Now I'm going to take you out there real quick.
- 24:53If you go on to YouTube and type Coin Shop Chris in the search
- 24:56bar, you'll come to this as you can see the coins and it says
- 24:59coin Shop Chris. He's got some great videos as
- 25:03channels growing like crazy. One of the fastest growing
- 25:05channels in the silver and gold sector.
- 25:08Here's a great a great video, a big warning from India, almost
- 25:1212,000 views. And he's got a lot of other
- 25:15interesting content regarding the silver and gold sector.
- 25:18And he's a great friend to Ron's basement.
- 25:20Chris, we'll look forward to seeing you next time, OK?
- 25:23We'll see you next time. Sorry for the connection issues.
- 25:25Thank you guys for watching. Please give Ron a thumbs up.
- 25:28Please. Oh, yeah.
- 25:29Thumbs up. Thank you, Chris.
- 25:31We'll see you soon, buddy. Bye.
- 25:32Bye. See you buddy.
- 25:33Bye, bye, bye. All right, guys.
- 25:35Let's move on to some interesting developments in this
- 25:39market. We've talked about the pain that
- 25:42we've all experienced since what Tuesday, Wednesday of last week,
- 25:46it's been about 8 days now in the market.
- 25:49What's causing We want we want to understand right, what's
- 25:53causing this downdraft and we are back in the situation where
- 25:57they are blaming it on the US dollar.
- 26:02And let's go out to MarketWatch and take a look at what's going
- 26:06on with the US dollar index. OK, well it's down a little bit
- 26:10today, but guys the DXY index is at one O 650, OK, it has been on
- 26:16an absolute tear. Let's just look at a one month
- 26:20chart, OK, let's look at it little bit longer.
- 26:24Look at a three month chart of the US dollar index.
- 26:27So remember this was on September 27th, the US dollar
- 26:32index touched 100. It has gone up 6 1/2% in what is
- 26:39that about the last six weeks? OK, now we're back in this
- 26:43situation because we're back in this environment where people
- 26:48are forgetting about this critical economic situation that
- 26:52we're going to be facing in 2025, stagflation.
- 26:56But over over the last six weeks, we've seen the dollar
- 26:59shoot up precipitously. That's a big deal.
- 27:02But what I want to remind you of, what I want to remind you
- 27:06of, there's a lot of different ways that people describe the
- 27:09DXY index. Some people say it's like, you
- 27:12know, the dollars, the prettiest horse in the glue factory, the
- 27:16best, the best performing patient in the Hospice ward,
- 27:20however you want to say it. You know, I was thinking the
- 27:23other day, it's kind of like like the the DXY index.
- 27:26It's it's basically the dollar, the euro and the Japanese yen.
- 27:30OK, think about that, right. So it's, it's these three crappy
- 27:34currencies weighted and we're comparing it to gold and silver,
- 27:38right. And those currencies can print
- 27:41their, their make believe they're electronic, they're
- 27:43whatever, however you want to say it.
- 27:46But what I thought of was it's like, it's like the, those 3
- 27:48currencies and, and, and the DX are the, the, the euro, the yen
- 27:53and the US dollar. It's kind of like, like, you
- 27:56know, three people have been locked up in jail and they're
- 27:59all cell mates in, in a, in a jail cell.
- 28:01They're all been convicted of a really bad crimes.
- 28:04They're convicted felons, whatever.
- 28:06And they're all sitting around this jail cell together.
- 28:08And one of them saying, hey, no, no, you're a good guy.
- 28:11And the other one says no, you're a good guy.
- 28:12And the other one says, no, you're a good guy, right.
- 28:14When the reality is they're kind of living in their own little
- 28:17microcosm make believe world, whereas silver and gold, right?
- 28:22They are the reality. Don't forget, right?
- 28:24That's just I want to say I've spent about a month since we've
- 28:27talked about this and it's critical for us as metals
- 28:30investors to remember this right?
- 28:32On one side over here, you've got precious metals.
- 28:36Over here you've got paper money, dollar, yen, euro.
- 28:40OK, you can't. This is this is this this amount
- 28:45over here, silver and gold maybe goes up one or 2% per year,
- 28:50right? Well, with silver, we know it's
- 28:52even more limitless. Silver is shrinking.
- 28:54But nonetheless, over here, right, the, the little, the, the
- 28:58yen, the euro and the dollar, they can print as much of this
- 29:01as they want. They could double.
- 29:03They could do what they did after the C19 crisis, print 40%
- 29:07more U.S. dollars. Think it can go up into
- 29:10Infinity, it will go up into Infinity.
- 29:13Whereas over here the metals that remains, that's finite,
- 29:17right? Sure it'll grow a little bit 123
- 29:20percent maybe per year, but the money, the paper money will grow
- 29:25into Infinity and there's nothing better to demonstrate
- 29:28that to us. We're going to do a double
- 29:29feature of the US debt clock today because this we're almost
- 29:34there guys. If we stay on long enough, we'll
- 29:36get to watch that roll over to 30 at about tomorrow.
- 29:40We're going to get our 36 trillion, but that's not what we
- 29:42want to talk about. What we want to talk about is
- 29:44over here. OK, right here.
- 29:48I made the arrow bigger for you. The dollar to silver ratio right
- 29:52now is at $993.00. That demonstrates what we just
- 29:57talked about that that this ratio measures the increase in
- 30:01the M2 money supply, which is like bank accounts C DS you know
- 30:07the increase of dollars, paper dollars printed dollars for per
- 30:13each per each one ounce of silver that's produced every
- 30:17year. And right now they're producing
- 30:19993 paper dollars for each one ounce of silver that's produced.
- 30:25And we we we tracking this. I think this just is so critical
- 30:30and just blatantly shows right here one, what is today the
- 30:3514th? You guys help me out. 2024 What
- 30:39did we say? 993?
- 30:41I mean, look at these that not only is that even if this number
- 30:45was not growing, it would be astounding.
- 30:48Even back here, right? Three weeks ago when it was at
- 30:53$729, it was astounding. So it's an astounding number to
- 30:58begin with. But on top of that, it is
- 31:01accelerating, OK, We've gone from 700 almost to 1000.
- 31:05We're going to hit some big milestones here on the US debt
- 31:09clock in the coming. I mean, what does that mean, $36
- 31:12trillion? What does that mean?
- 31:14Right, $1000 created, printed for each one ounce of silver,
- 31:19right? That means this I'm going to I'm
- 31:22this is this is a big, big take away that we need to realize
- 31:27gold and silver, right? My fist over here, finite can't
- 31:31can't really be changed very much, right?
- 31:34It's all takes a lot to get an ounce of gold or silver out of
- 31:37the ground over here. We see my fingers, right?
- 31:42That's electronic money. That's dollars EUR yens they can
- 31:45print. They could double that over the
- 31:47next five years, OK, They could double the amount of dollars.
- 31:50They could triple the amount of dollars, EUR and yen.
- 31:53And those three are going to, oh, they're going to compare to
- 31:55each other like, no, you're the best.
- 31:56No, man, you're the best. No, you're the best, right?
- 31:59The three guys sitting around the jail cell who are locked up
- 32:01for life, right? The convex, the con men.
- 32:06Are these the con men? Does it make sense?
- 32:08I hope that makes sense, because I think that's a critical key
- 32:12thing for anyone who chooses to protect themselves with precious
- 32:18metals. Undeniable.
- 32:19OK, I want to warn you, Another warning.
- 32:23Jerome Powell talks later today. Yeah, this Jerome Powell, He
- 32:27hasn't. We haven't had them out.
- 32:28You haven't seen him for a couple weeks, right?
- 32:30The king of toilet paper is going to be talking today when
- 32:35he when he when I don't know, but they're talking about
- 32:38President Trump maybe getting rid of him.
- 32:40You're going to hear from him today.
- 32:42He's going to be talking right. He'll be talking he'll be
- 32:45talking while while this right is going on.
- 32:50Be prepared because if he comes out with some hawkish talk,
- 32:54right, If he comes out with with the with some type of, with some
- 32:59type of, of of message that is perceived as being hawkish, we
- 33:03can get hit again in the precious metals markets.
- 33:06I don't think that's going to happen.
- 33:07But man, nothing is off the table right now, OK?
- 33:11Nothing is off the table. The other reason why big reason
- 33:15why silver and gold have been getting clobbered and this makes
- 33:17no sense and we're going to look at it just very briefly.
- 33:20Not only is it the DXY index, it's out of control, but bond
- 33:25yields are out of control. Let's go quickly.
- 33:29Uh oh, hold on here, hold on there it is 10 year bond.
- 33:34This is crazy guys. This is this makes no sense at
- 33:39all and is something is something that's very important,
- 33:44right? Because it rattles me to look at
- 33:47this. There's a one year chart of the
- 33:5010 year bond yield. All right, let's go down here.
- 33:52See my arrow again. That's right around that same
- 33:55time when the dollar bottom. That's right around when Jerome
- 33:57Powell. Let's do six months.
- 34:00Cut interest rates right here, here.
- 34:03Let's draw. Let's get the crayons out.
- 34:05OK, here, right there, right. The 10 year bond yield was
- 34:10probably what, 3.6%? I think it is.
- 34:14I mean, it has gone up more than 3/4 of a percent since right
- 34:20here we are today, what, at 4.42 cents.
- 34:23Jerome Powell cut rates. Does that make sense?
- 34:26Now the other thing to consider with this is that, that massive
- 34:31amount of debt that we have on the US debt clock, right, right,
- 34:36this right here, right, creates this interest on debt interest
- 34:41expense. This when the interest rates go
- 34:44up. And because the US Treasury is
- 34:47now doing mostly short, a lot of short term funding as they, they
- 34:50have to refinance this all the time.
- 34:53It'd be like if you as a household had $1,000,000 in debt
- 34:57and every couple years you have to refinance that debt,
- 35:00refinance that debt that is driving this interest expense
- 35:03way, way, way, way higher. Look, the net result of all of
- 35:08this will be money printing and monetization meant money
- 35:11printing, which you know what that that means for the silver
- 35:16price and gold price in monetization of the debt.
- 35:20If we think for a second, right, that, that, that anything's
- 35:24going to change in the coming 2, four years, I think we could be
- 35:29fooling ourselves because there's this thing called
- 35:31mathematics, right? Where 2 + 2 = 4, right?
- 35:35God, the universe set it up that way, right?
- 35:38Not even God can change the laws of mathematics.
- 35:42Well, maybe he or she could. I don't want to tempt God,
- 35:44right? But mathematics shows no
- 35:46forgiveness on the altar of truth.
- 35:49That's an absolute case. What about the banking crisis?
- 35:51What? Remember the banking crisis?
- 35:54Well, listen to this, right? Listen to this.
- 35:56There's this new term they're using, and it actually came out
- 36:01of the New York Fed, right? And when there's a banking
- 36:05crisis again, right, that means rescue packages, money printing,
- 36:11the commercial real estate extend, it's called extend and
- 36:14pretend billions, possibly trillions of unrealized losses
- 36:19sitting on bank books. But they're putting off the day
- 36:23of reckoning. This is fascinating, OK?
- 36:25And again, this will result in rescue packages, money printing,
- 36:28however you want to call it. Remember the BTFD by the, I'm
- 36:31sorry, bank term funding program they used when the we had the
- 36:35last banking crisis 18 months ago.
- 36:38That was like the more banks failed from a dollar, dollar
- 36:41perspective that happened during the great financial crisis.
- 36:44This is coming to a town near you, OK, because last month the
- 36:48New York Fed OK, they put out a paper called Extend and pretend
- 36:55in the US commercial real estate market.
- 36:58OK. The research explained how Wall
- 37:02Street is using extend and pretend to make its commercial
- 37:06real estate portfolios look better than they really are.
- 37:10So what they're basically doing is, right, the bank's loan, the
- 37:13real simple, the bank's loan, $100 million to some guy to buy
- 37:18a big commercial real estate office building somewhere, OK,
- 37:21That building that was worth 100,000,008 years ago is now
- 37:26only worth 12 million. And that's happening.
- 37:28That's happening right here in my hometown in Saint Louis,
- 37:31right? The AT&T building, downtown
- 37:33Saint Louis, it's sold for like 8% or 6% of what it's what it's
- 37:39sold for like 16 years ago. There's examples from all over
- 37:42the country. So these banks loaned $100
- 37:45million eight years ago on a building that was worth $100
- 37:49million. Now that building, let's be
- 37:52optimistic because that's an extreme example that I just gave
- 37:55you is only worth half as much, let's say $50 million.
- 37:59So now what the banks are doing is they're just extending the
- 38:03loans. They're telling that developer,
- 38:04well, don't, don't worry about it.
- 38:06We'll we'll extend the loan way out into the future and we'll
- 38:10make your payments a little lower.
- 38:12They're not recognizing that right now.
- 38:14They're not marking it to market that right now.
- 38:17This is a big, big issue, right? And, and, and the banks are in
- 38:21big, big trouble. The New York Fed put the paper
- 38:24out. Now on top of that, you've got
- 38:27the bond portfolios that the banks have, right?
- 38:30They you, you gave the bank $1,000,000, Richie Rich, right?
- 38:33The bank took your $1,000,000 five years ago, three years ago
- 38:38and bought a bunch of 30 year, 20 year U.S.
- 38:40Treasuries at 2 or 3%. Those treasuries are now worth
- 38:44half as much 60% as much, right? They don't have to as long as
- 38:48they're going to hold those two maturity right.
- 38:51You're, they're fine unless you show up at the bank and want
- 38:54your money back and they've got to liquidate those bonds and
- 38:57like, well, sorry, our bonds are only worth half as much.
- 38:59Which of course then the FDIC would come in, which of course
- 39:02then would mean that we would have more darn money Printing
- 39:05everything leads to the world, the magical, the magical world
- 39:10of of this. And thank you to our friend Don
- 39:13Indris for for sending this to right to this right printing
- 39:17more of this stuff. Everything leads that way, but
- 39:20it's even crazier. Consider this.
- 39:23Consider this when you, when you, when you look at the fact
- 39:27that what we looked at that 10 year bond yield up almost one
- 39:30percent, 3/4 of a percent, what whatever it is, when the yields
- 39:34go up, the value of the bonds go down.
- 39:37So the banks are now compared to six weeks ago again in hot water
- 39:42with these things. I mean, look, you're not going
- 39:44to walk into your bank. I love my bank.
- 39:46It's right, I can walk there. It's like 300 yards from my
- 39:50house. I love them.
- 39:51Carmel, the bank manager, she's nice, right, right.
- 39:54I don't keep a lot of money in the bank, but she still likes me
- 39:57anyway, when I walk in that door, I all I ever see is is a
- 40:02big, these big placards that say sign up for our platinum
- 40:05checking, sign up for our gold money market account, right?
- 40:09They aren't going to put signs up that say warning, right?
- 40:13The the commercial real estate that we invested in is not only
- 40:17worth half as much warning the. Bonds that we bought with the
- 40:20money that you gave us four years ago is now worth only 70%
- 40:23as much. And I'm not saying that specific
- 40:25to my banks. I have no idea what their
- 40:27financial condition is. What I'm just telling you is
- 40:30that's the situation right now. They're probably thinking they
- 40:33can inflate it away, right? Everything will be OK five years
- 40:38from now, right? Cuz the dollar will be worth
- 40:40half as much. That's probably the plan in the
- 40:45banking sector, but the higher interest rates are putting more
- 40:48and more stress on the banks. And as the world is saying, we
- 40:52don't want U.S. Treasuries.
- 40:53We don't want it. Sorry, buttercup, you Americans,
- 40:58we don't want to buy your debt anymore.
- 40:59We don't want to finance you. China doesn't want to find.
- 41:02China saved us during the great financial crisis.
- 41:04They bought all of our debt, right?
- 41:06No, they don't want it anymore. They don't it.
- 41:09That's going to make rates go even higher.
- 41:11I'm telling you guys, we could be in for some very, very
- 41:14interesting times here as we move into this coming two to
- 41:18four years. We got a lot more to talk about.
- 41:25Oh, I forgot. I want to say thank you for
- 41:27being here today. I'm the most important part of
- 41:29the show, right? Please, I want you to know
- 41:32you're important. I want to give you quality
- 41:34content on a daily basis about silver and gold.
- 41:37But most importantly, right, I want you to feel like you're
- 41:40part of this group because you are part of the group.
- 41:43You've got a name. Think of your name.
- 41:45Your name is just as important as me and everybody else that's
- 41:48here. But we're all coming together.
- 41:50We're like, we're part of a tribe.
- 41:52So all I'll ask is that you please subscribe and give it a
- 41:57thumbs up if you wouldn't mind. Oh, we've got a super chat.
- 42:00Hold on here, our friend Silver Surfer.
- 42:03Thank you. You're generous on a, on a, on a
- 42:08on a regular basis. Money was codified in 450 BC and
- 42:12credit was first codified 800 years earlier.
- 42:15We live in a bizarro world. So the dollar will crash when
- 42:19credit implodes. Yeah, we live in.
- 42:21Thank you Silver Surfer. Guys, we are living in a fantasy
- 42:25world right now when it comes to economics and money.
- 42:30No doubt about it, right? Math does not apply right now,
- 42:35but but it math does apply. At the end of the day, there's
- 42:39no way Trump is not going to. Yeah.
- 42:45Oh, hey, stacking. Susie says stacking.
- 42:47We have Silver Surfer and stacking surfers on as well.
- 42:49Hello, Stacking server. Good to see you.
- 42:51Go check out his channel, guys. Another friend of Ron's
- 42:54basement, our friend out in California, the Stacking surfer.
- 42:59Very interesting content. He's got some really great
- 43:02unique insights into the silver and gold Margaret.
- 43:06But Trump is not Donald Trump is not going to turn off the money
- 43:11spicket. OK, He's just not.
- 43:14That's my opinion, right? Not a political statement.
- 43:17Trump has a history of I'm going to beat this, of he's a history
- 43:22both as AUS previous U.S. President and as a businessman
- 43:27of racking up debt. That's a fact.
- 43:30OK, I'll say it one final time. Not a political statement.
- 43:34Did we hear one serious word from Donald Trump during the
- 43:40during the election process, during the debates?
- 43:43One serious word about addressing the US national debt.
- 43:50No, no, no. Right.
- 43:52OK. We did hear a lot of
- 43:54extraordinary promises, right? Eliminating the income tax.
- 43:57I mean, it's unbelievable what they're talking about, changes
- 44:03that they're talking about. But all those big changes, all
- 44:05those big tax cuts, all that, right, That requires money.
- 44:10That requires money, money, money.
- 44:12And the only place that money is going to come from six or one
- 44:15half dozen, the other is through money printing.
- 44:19That's a fact. That's exactly what's going on.
- 44:21And right now we are in a deflationary debt spiral.
- 44:26There's no other way to look at it.
- 44:27I mean, we are there, right? He's not going to, he is not
- 44:31going to embrace austerity. We can't expect that to be the
- 44:35case, OK. And that's fine because we're
- 44:38into, you know, we're into silver and gold, right?
- 44:41I mean, Trump's into gold. He likes gold toilets.
- 44:44I was, I researched that last night.
- 44:45I remembered that. But yeah, you know, I mean,
- 44:48Trump likes gold and silver. Trump likes to to, to, to borrow
- 44:53money, to print money. I think that this little.
- 44:58Here's what I feel. I could be wrong.
- 45:01When I feel like a year from now or two years from now, we're
- 45:04going to look back at this painful period that we're going
- 45:07through right now is precious metals investors, this painful
- 45:10period post election of Donald Trump, all political feelings
- 45:14aside, right? Just the fact that silver and
- 45:17gold, I mean, gold's down what, six, 7%, silver's down 12% since
- 45:22the election, that two years from now, a year from now, maybe
- 45:26even six months, maybe sooner from now, we're going to look
- 45:29back and be like, woof, isn't that weird?
- 45:31You know what I'm talking about? Like you look back and like,
- 45:33wow, we were so scared as precious metals investors, we
- 45:36were questioning ourselves. Maybe you do that.
- 45:39Look, we all do it. But everything turned out to be
- 45:43a OK, that's what I think's going to happen.
- 45:46That's what I think we have to look forward to.
- 45:48Hey, thank you for being here today.
