Mega Edition: Prince Andrew, The Royal Counselor Position (8/29/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
0:05
Speaker 1: One of the roles that Prince Andrew has been able
0:08
Speaker 1: to scratch and claw his way to keeping has been
0:10
Speaker 1: his counselor role. Well, that party is about to end
0:14
Speaker 1: as well, as King Charles, his brother, has decided that
0:18
Speaker 1: he's going to shake things up. And not only will
0:21
Speaker 1: Andrew lose his counselor's role, but also his son, Harry.
0:25
Speaker 1: So things are definitely on the change in the royal family,
0:28
Speaker 1: and this is something I talked about previously. Once the
0:31
Speaker 1: queen's gone, as she is, there would be big changes.
0:36
Speaker 1: The sentiment of the public is certainly not in the
0:38
Speaker 1: favor of King Charles. He's not a beloved figure. People
0:42
Speaker 1: remember Diana. People remember Jimmy Savile. People remember the bags
0:45
Speaker 1: of the Bin Laden family cash. And I'm just scratching
0:48
Speaker 1: the surface. But he is not a beloved figure like
0:52
Speaker 1: the queen was. So he's really playing a dangerous game
0:57
Speaker 1: with each decision he makes. Previously, they had the ability
1:01
Speaker 1: to fall back on the queen when something went wrong
1:04
Speaker 1: and her image, her persona and the love of the
1:07
Speaker 1: people that they had for her. Well, that would help
1:11
Speaker 1: carry the day. Now they don't have that to rely
1:13
Speaker 1: on anymore. So they're going to have to navigate the
1:16
Speaker 1: minefield in a much more, let us say, careful manner
1:21
Speaker 1: than they have previously. And I honestly don't know if
1:25
Speaker 1: they're up for the task. For so long, all of
1:28
Speaker 1: them have had the Queen picking up after them, and
1:31
Speaker 1: they all knew that they had the Queen's great resources
1:34
Speaker 1: to dive into if shit went south, like it did
1:37
Speaker 1: for Prince Andrew. Do you really think that Prince Andrew
1:41
Speaker 1: would have been able to navigate all of this if
1:43
Speaker 1: his mother wasn't as beloved as she was? Say she
1:47
Speaker 1: wasn't around and all of this happened under King Charles.
1:50
Speaker 1: How different do you think it would have been? My
1:53
Speaker 1: guess is a whole lot different, folks. And now that
1:57
Speaker 1: the queen is gone, Charles realizes that the party is
2:01
Speaker 1: over and it's time to pare down the monarchy and
2:04
Speaker 1: it's time to show the people that he's taking his
2:06
Speaker 1: job seriously. So today, we're going to talk about how
2:10
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew has his role as a counselor snatched from him,
2:14
Speaker 1: and really, he has nothing left. Oh, sure, he's the
2:17
Speaker 1: Duke of York, but the people of York don't even
2:19
Speaker 1: want him. So, go and walk the corgis, go and
2:23
Speaker 1: ride your horse, and go and watch Love Island, because
2:27
Speaker 1: the rest of the world wants nothing to do with you.
2:30
Speaker 1: Today's article is from the BBC. Headline, Prince Andrew and
2:34
Speaker 1: Prince Harry royal counselor roles are challenged. This article was
2:40
Speaker 1: authored by Sean Coughlin and it was published by the BBC.
2:47
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew and Prince Harry's roles in being allowed to
2:50
Speaker 1: stand in for King Charles for official duties has been
2:53
Speaker 1: challenged in the House of Lords. They remain two of
2:57
Speaker 1: the five councillors of state who can carry out important
2:59
Speaker 1: constitutional duties if the monarch is unwell or overseas. And
3:05
Speaker 1: the talk is that this is a done deal, that
3:07
Speaker 1: Andrew will lose this role and so will Harry. Now,
3:11
Speaker 1: the whole Harry situation, look, I've said it from Jump Street.
3:14
Speaker 1: I'm not interested in his life or Meghan Markle's. I
3:17
Speaker 1: really don't care. That's a diversion for me. But as
3:21
Speaker 1: far as him losing his counselor role, if it's just
3:24
Speaker 1: because he married Meghan Markle and moved to America, is
3:27
Speaker 1: that really the right way to go about it for
3:29
Speaker 1: this kid? Give him the Prince Andrew treatment? Again, I
3:32
Speaker 1: don't know the monarchy as well as a lot of
3:35
Speaker 1: you out there who follow it. So I'm just talking
3:37
Speaker 1: about it from layman's terms, basically, right? My seat here
3:41
Speaker 1: in the peanut gallery. And from where I'm sitting, it
3:44
Speaker 1: certainly doesn't look to me that Harry did anything that
3:47
Speaker 1: comes close to what Andrew did. Viscount Stansgate questioned their
3:54
Speaker 1: status when one had left public life and the other
3:58
Speaker 1: had left the country. It was time for a sensible
4:01
Speaker 1: amendment to end this arrangement, he said. And look, again,
4:04
Speaker 1: I'm not too hip to all of the English laws
4:07
Speaker 1: and customs and what goes on in the House of Commons.
4:11
Speaker 1: I'd be a liar if I sat here and told
4:12
Speaker 1: you that I am an expert in how that works.
4:16
Speaker 1: But I can understand why these elected officials here would
4:21
Speaker 1: be pretty adamant to have Prince Andrew especially removed from
4:25
Speaker 1: this role. God forbid, imagine something did happen and we
4:28
Speaker 1: turn on our TVs and this dumbass is there smiling
4:31
Speaker 1: at us, the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family. Might
4:35
Speaker 1: as well have Liz Truss standing next to him to
4:37
Speaker 1: complete the embarrassment. Lord Addington, a liberal Democrat, suggested that
4:44
Speaker 1: working royals, somebody who actually undertakes royal duties, should be
4:48
Speaker 1: given priority for these roles. Yes. If you're going to
4:52
Speaker 1: have a royal in these roles, it should be somebody
4:55
Speaker 1: who's considered a quote-unquote working royal, no? I don't understand.
5:00
Speaker 1: You just have anyone stand in here? The guy's not
5:03
Speaker 1: even part of the royal family. So what's the big
5:05
Speaker 1: deal if he keeps the title or not? In response
5:11
Speaker 1: to questions from peers, the Lord Privy Seal, Lord True,
5:15
Speaker 1: said he would not comment on specific circumstances and the
5:20
Speaker 1: royal household would need to be consulted about any change.
5:25
Speaker 1: First of all, the fact that you guys still have
5:27
Speaker 1: a Lord of the Privy Seal over there is kind
5:29
Speaker 1: of cool, right? Reminds me of Game of Thrones or
5:32
Speaker 1: House of the Dragon. Can I come sit in on
5:34
Speaker 1: the King's small council, please? But all kidding aside, You
5:39
Speaker 1: would think that people would be pushing for this, right?
5:43
Speaker 1: Not saying, oh, well, we're going to punt it to
5:45
Speaker 1: the Royals and to the Royal House so they can
5:47
Speaker 1: make the decision. Now, I think Charles is going to
5:51
Speaker 1: make the right decision here because he understands the optics
5:54
Speaker 1: and what he's up against. But as far as him
5:58
Speaker 1: being a good man and this being a decision that
6:00
Speaker 1: he's going into and he's happy about, I don't know
6:03
Speaker 1: about all that, honestly. I'm not a huge fan of
6:06
Speaker 1: the Royals in general, and Charles and his relationship with
6:10
Speaker 1: Jimmy Savile really grosses me out. Then you talk about
6:14
Speaker 1: Lord Mountbatten, who was his mentor, and what he's charged
6:18
Speaker 1: with or accused of, and it starts to build a
6:21
Speaker 1: profile that is pretty disgusting. But Lord True told the
6:28
Speaker 1: House of Lords, the government will always consider what arrangements
6:31
Speaker 1: are needed to ensure resilience in our constitutional arrangements. And
6:36
Speaker 1: in the past, we have seen that the point of
6:38
Speaker 1: extension has proved a useful opportunity to consider the arrangements
6:43
Speaker 1: in place. Well, I would think that they try and
6:45
Speaker 1: push for that no matter what. But again, I don't
6:48
Speaker 1: think they're going to have to push too hard. I
6:49
Speaker 1: think that Prince King Charles is going to do this
6:53
Speaker 1: pretty much on his own. And if the House of
6:56
Speaker 1: Lords and the House of Commons are willing to back
6:58
Speaker 1: the decision, so much the better. Because I don't know
7:01
Speaker 1: who wants to come out in public here and stand
7:04
Speaker 1: up for Andrew. Now, I can understand Harry. Like I said,
7:07
Speaker 1: you know, I don't know why there's so much craziness
7:12
Speaker 1: around the dude for just wanting to leave. But, Andrew?
7:16
Speaker 1: There shouldn't even be a conversation here. This dude should
7:19
Speaker 1: be stripped of every single title he has, including the
7:22
Speaker 1: Duke of York title, and he should be left to
7:26
Speaker 1: sit around in the living room, eating Cheetos, and watching
7:29
Speaker 1: shitty daytime television for the rest of his life. Under
7:35
Speaker 1: the Regency Act, the councillors of state are the spouse
7:38
Speaker 1: of the monarch and the next foreign line of succession
7:41
Speaker 1: over the age of 21. At present, these are Camilla,
7:44
Speaker 1: the Queen Consort, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, Prince Harry,
7:49
Speaker 1: Duke of Sussex, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and his daughter,
7:52
Speaker 1: Princess Beatrice. So right off the bat, do we really
7:57
Speaker 1: want Princess Beatrice? No offense to her. I don't have
8:00
Speaker 1: any beef with her, but really, she's somebody that should
8:02
Speaker 1: be standing in for the king here. Has she ever
8:05
Speaker 1: been to any of these meetings, sat in? So that's
8:08
Speaker 1: a little weird. Prince Andrew? Come on, man, really? You
8:12
Speaker 1: might as well go and dig up Jimmy Savile and
8:14
Speaker 1: have him come and be Prince Andrew's counselor. Harry, again,
8:20
Speaker 1: I don't really get the whole pomp and circumstance. If
8:24
Speaker 1: the kid's capable to stand in as a counselor, he
8:26
Speaker 1: is of the royal blood, right? Just because he lives
8:28
Speaker 1: somewhere else doesn't mean he's not of the royal blood anymore.
8:32
Speaker 1: So I don't see the big issue there. But like
8:34
Speaker 1: I said, I get it. I'm not a royalist or
8:37
Speaker 1: a historian of the monarchy. So I don't know all
8:40
Speaker 1: of the ins and outs. I'm just telling you from
8:42
Speaker 1: somebody as an observer, there's no way in hell under
8:46
Speaker 1: any circumstances, even if the whole family, God forbid, was
8:49
Speaker 1: to get the Black Plague. Prince Andrew should never be
8:52
Speaker 1: near that crown, never be near the throne, ever. They
8:58
Speaker 1: can carry out official duties, such as signing documents, receiving ambassadors,
9:03
Speaker 1: or attending Privy Council meetings, if the monarch is temporarily
9:07
Speaker 1: ill or abroad. What I think we need over here
9:10
Speaker 1: in the UK... is a hand of the king, right?
9:13
Speaker 1: Gotta get yourself a hand of the king. The king
9:16
Speaker 1: eats and the hand takes the shit. That's how the
9:18
Speaker 1: saying goes. Labor peer Viscount Stansgate, who is Stephen Benn,
9:24
Speaker 1: the eldest son of labor politician Tony Benn, said this
9:28
Speaker 1: showed the value of updating the Regency Act to ensure
9:31
Speaker 1: royals were available to stand in. It's the only reason
9:35
Speaker 1: why it was possible to open the current session of
9:38
Speaker 1: this parliament, he told peers. and he called on government
9:41
Speaker 1: to approach the king over changes to the current arrangements
9:45
Speaker 1: now that Prince Harry was living in the United States
9:48
Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew no longer carried out royal duties. Changes
9:52
Speaker 1: to the legislation would be the responsibility of the cabinet
9:56
Speaker 1: office and spokeswoman referred back to the comments of the Well, look,
9:50
Speaker 1: either way, Prince Andrew certainly doesn't deserve to have his
9:52
Speaker 1: name anywhere near any of this stuff. So he should
10:13
Speaker 1: be launched into orbit. He shouldn't be a counselor. And
10:17
Speaker 1: I'm sure there are plenty of other people who are
10:19
Speaker 1: capable of doing that job in the royal family. So
10:23
Speaker 1: let's get to it, Prince Charles. Stop, I mean, King Charles.
10:26
Speaker 1: Quit counting your bin Laden cash for a minute. And
10:29
Speaker 1: let's take some action here. All right, folks, that's going
10:32
Speaker 1: to do it for this episode. If you'd like to
10:34
Speaker 1: contact me, you can do that at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com.
10:39
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find me on
10:46
Speaker 1: Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I discussed
10:53
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box. What's up, everyone,
10:58
Speaker 1: and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. Virginia Roberts' lawyers,
11:04
Speaker 1: David Boies and Sigrid McCauley, are once again on the
11:08
Speaker 1: warpath against Prince Andrew, a.k.a. the Joe Exotic, of the
11:13
Speaker 1: Windsor family. And now, they're accusing him of engaging in
11:18
Speaker 1: extreme and outrageous conduct. Now, you would think that after
11:22
Speaker 1: the settlement, all of this would be something that was
11:26
Speaker 1: finally going to come to a conclusion. But that is
11:30
Speaker 1: not the case. So what was the point in even
11:33
Speaker 1: settling if the arguing is going to continue? The whole
11:36
Speaker 1: idea of a settlement is so that you can put
11:39
Speaker 1: this in the rear view and keep it moving. But
11:42
Speaker 1: that's not the case here. And this continues to be
11:44
Speaker 1: a point of contention. And it's going to come to
11:47
Speaker 1: a head at some point. Prince Andrew and his stupid
11:51
Speaker 1: ass posturing is going to get him into trouble. I
11:54
Speaker 1: don't know how much more clear I need to be
11:56
Speaker 1: about that. Now, I'm not saying he's going to face
11:58
Speaker 1: criminal charges. People like Prince Andrew, well, they don't have
12:02
Speaker 1: to face the same charges we do. But as far
12:05
Speaker 1: as his public perception, or what's left of it, he
12:08
Speaker 1: just keeps digging the hole deeper and deeper. Nobody wants
12:12
Speaker 1: to hear from him at this point. And while there's
12:14
Speaker 1: a few contrarians out there, the vast majority see Prince
12:18
Speaker 1: Andrew for what he is. Today's article is from the
12:22
Speaker 1: Daily Mail headline, Exclusive. Virginia Roberts' lawyers accused Prince Andrew
12:28
Speaker 1: of engaging in extreme and outrageous conduct, as he is
12:31
Speaker 1: mentioned in latest court battle against J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank,
12:36
Speaker 1: who are being sued for facilitating Jeffrey Epstein's sex crimes.
12:41
Speaker 1: And while all of these civil suits are all fine
12:43
Speaker 1: and well, are we ever going to see anyone really
12:46
Speaker 1: held responsible here? Or is it always going to be
12:48
Speaker 1: a shell game? This article was authored by Daniel Bates.
12:55
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct with his accuser,
13:00
Speaker 1: Virginia Roberts, her lawyers claimed last night. The Duke of
13:04
Speaker 1: York's conduct was continuous and severe when he allegedly had
13:08
Speaker 1: sex with Ms. Roberts three times when she was 17
13:12
Speaker 1: and a victim of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Lawyers
13:17
Speaker 1: for Ms. Roberts compared his behavior to that of the
13:20
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank, which they claim facilitated Epstein's sex trafficking activities.
13:25
Speaker 1: operation well we don't know which survivors are suing the
13:29
Speaker 1: bank but with boys and macaulay coming out and making
13:33
Speaker 1: these statements I think it's safe to assume that Virginia
13:37
Speaker 1: might be one of the claimants here the remark is
13:41
Speaker 1: another blow to Andrew at a time when he is
13:44
Speaker 1: reportedly considering writing his memoir as he seeks to return
13:48
Speaker 1: the public life Prince Andrew had a shot to return
13:51
Speaker 1: the public life But instead, he decided to settle with
13:55
Speaker 1: a woman that he said he never even met. And
13:57
Speaker 1: if Virginia is as big of a liar as Prince
14:01
Speaker 1: Andrew and his friends say she is, then that should
14:03
Speaker 1: have been relatively easy to prove in a court of law,
14:07
Speaker 1: especially when you have Marty Singer and Andrew Brettler doing
14:11
Speaker 1: the heavy lifting. I don't want to hear anything about
14:14
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew wasn't represented correctly. He had the best lawyers
14:17
Speaker 1: in the business, the best that money can buy, and
14:20
Speaker 1: they advised him to settle. So if you got beef,
14:23
Speaker 1: you need to talk to them because they're the ones
14:26
Speaker 1: who have their finger on the pulse. They're the ones
14:28
Speaker 1: who know the minefield that Prince Andrew was stepping into.
14:33
Speaker 1: And it was their opinion and their advice that Prince
14:36
Speaker 1: Andrew settles. Now, if you were innocent, would you take
14:40
Speaker 1: that advice? I certainly wouldn't. And I don't care what
14:44
Speaker 1: the cost would be. If somebody is going to sully
14:47
Speaker 1: my name in such a manner, you better believe that
14:50
Speaker 1: I'm not settling out of court, especially if I've never
14:53
Speaker 1: met the person before. You think I'm going to sit
14:55
Speaker 1: around and get extorted? Zero chance. That's why I don't
14:59
Speaker 1: believe a word that comes out of Prince Andrew's mouth.
15:02
Speaker 1: For a guy that doesn't know Virginia Roberts, the Duke
15:06
Speaker 1: settled a sex assault lawsuit filed by Ms. Roberts last
15:09
Speaker 1: year for a reported 12 million pounds, but he is
15:13
Speaker 1: now said to think He should have fought the case.
15:15
Speaker 1: Of course he's saying it now. Easy to say it
15:18
Speaker 1: now when there's no jeopardy, right? When there's no case
15:22
Speaker 1: hanging over your head. It's real easy to sit in
15:24
Speaker 1: Frogmore or wherever the hell you're hanging out and have
15:28
Speaker 1: your idiotic friends like Victoria Harvey come out here and
15:32
Speaker 1: talk nonsense. But when the chips were down and Prince
15:36
Speaker 1: Andrew truly had a chance to defend himself, what did
15:38
Speaker 1: he do? That's right. He settled out of court. gave
15:42
Speaker 1: Virginia a gigantic bag, and now he's crying about it?
15:47
Speaker 1: It's like the dude who taps out to a rear
15:49
Speaker 1: naked choke. We all see it happen. And then after
15:52
Speaker 1: the fight gets up and disputes the fact that he
15:54
Speaker 1: tapped out. Bro, we just watched you get put to sleep.
15:58
Speaker 1: What are you talking about? The remarks about Andrew came
16:03
Speaker 1: during a hearing in New York in a case filed
16:05
Speaker 1: by an anonymous woman called Jane Doe against American bank
16:09
Speaker 1: JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. The woman claims both institutions
16:14
Speaker 1: turned a blind eye to Epstein's sex trafficking operation in
16:18
Speaker 1: exchange for which he brought wealthy clients to them. That's
16:21
Speaker 1: a fact. That's not even an allegation. That's what happened. Now,
16:26
Speaker 1: proving that it's criminal, that's going to be the hard part.
16:28
Speaker 1: But there's no doubt that it was quid pro quo
16:31
Speaker 1: between Epstein and the bank. The reference to Andrew came
16:36
Speaker 1: during a discussion... about the woman's allegations about international infliction
16:41
Speaker 1: of emotional distress, Ms. Roberts accused Andrew in her lawsuit
16:45
Speaker 1: of the same claim. So it's looking like Virginia is
16:48
Speaker 1: one of the claimants here. I don't know that for sure.
16:51
Speaker 1: And the women who are suing these banks are doing
16:54
Speaker 1: it in an anonymous fashion. So we don't know for
16:58
Speaker 1: sure one way or the other. But looking at court documents,
17:01
Speaker 1: just like in any other case, you can start to
17:04
Speaker 1: piece together what's going on. Sigrid McCauley, a lawyer who
17:08
Speaker 1: represents Doe and Ms. Roberts, told the court that there
17:11
Speaker 1: were a plethora of allegations against Deutsche Bank and the
17:16
Speaker 1: over and over red flags about Epstein were ignored. They
17:19
Speaker 1: certainly were. And it's all about money, right? We all
17:23
Speaker 1: know what it's about. There's no mystery here. It's always
17:26
Speaker 1: about the same thing with these people. She said that
17:29
Speaker 1: there was a parallel in that the bank and the
17:31
Speaker 1: Duke both engaged in continuous, extreme and outrageous conduct. In
17:36
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's case, it was continuous, severe conduct, she added. Ms.
17:40
Speaker 1: McCauley said that for Deutsche Bank, there was a quid
17:43
Speaker 1: pro quo with Epstein, whereby he brought in millions of
17:46
Speaker 1: dollars of new money. The bank was incentivized to keep
17:50
Speaker 1: Epstein happy so it could benefit from the business, Ms.
17:54
Speaker 1: McCauley said. Well, we all know that Deutsche Bank is
17:57
Speaker 1: a black hole of corruption, and they've been a key
18:01
Speaker 1: participant in many, many different criminal enterprises. From human trafficking
18:06
Speaker 1: to narcotics to straight-up fraud, they've been involved in all
18:10
Speaker 1: of it. And how Deutsche Bank is still in business
18:12
Speaker 1: is beyond me. These clowns should have had their wings
18:15
Speaker 1: clipped a long, long time ago. Andrew's settlement with Ms.
18:20
Speaker 1: Roberts was mentioned four times during the 90-minute hearing in Manhattan.
18:25
Speaker 1: Lawyers for Deutsche Bank said there was a broad expectation
18:28
Speaker 1: from the breadth of the release referring to the agreement
18:31
Speaker 1: he signed with Ms. Roberts. The bank was attempting to
18:35
Speaker 1: argue that an agreement signed by Doe with Epstein's estate
18:38
Speaker 1: for compensation in September last year meant her allegation about
18:42
Speaker 1: its dealings with Epstein should be dismissed. And that's crazy, right?
18:47
Speaker 1: I don't care how many settlements somebody has received. When
18:50
Speaker 1: we're talking about crimes like this, it's a whole different ballgame.
18:54
Speaker 1: We're not talking about somebody who got into a car
18:56
Speaker 1: accident and then three years later comes back and wants
18:58
Speaker 1: more money. We're talking about people who feel like they
19:02
Speaker 1: have been wronged by a multitude of people. And if
19:05
Speaker 1: there's going to be no arrests, then what is left
19:07
Speaker 1: to the people who feel that they have been wronged?
19:10
Speaker 1: All they can do is pursue civil lawsuits. So that's
19:14
Speaker 1: what they're doing. And just because one scumbag gets sued,
19:17
Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that all of the rest of the
19:19
Speaker 1: scumbags should be off the hook. They should all get
19:22
Speaker 1: sued as well. As part of the agreement with Epstein's estate,
19:26
Speaker 1: Doe specifically exempted the former head of J.P. Morgan and
19:30
Speaker 1: Barclay's Jeff Staley and billionaire investor Leon Black from future liability,
19:35
Speaker 1: the court heard. Funny how those names are always brought up, huh?
19:39
Speaker 1: They have nothing to do with this, but they just
19:41
Speaker 1: happen to be brought up all the time. Mr. Staley's
19:44
Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein has come under intense scrutiny as a
19:47
Speaker 1: result of court filings in the Doe case. not just
19:50
Speaker 1: the Doe case, in other cases as well. He was
19:54
Speaker 1: chief executive of JP Morgan's exclusive private bank, which had
19:58
Speaker 1: Epstein as a client until 2013. Mr. Staley became head
20:00
Speaker 1: of Barclays in 2015 and was forced out in 2021
20:02
Speaker 1: due after Epstein's suicide renewed interest in their relationship. In
20:12
Speaker 1: the court in New York, David Boies, a lawyer for Doe,
20:15
Speaker 1: said that Mr. Staley's relationship with Epstein was central to
20:19
Speaker 1: the case. There's no doubt that Staley and Epstein were
20:22
Speaker 1: super tight. And I've been talking about this for, what,
20:25
Speaker 1: two years now? Three years? So it's nice to see
20:27
Speaker 1: other people finally catching up. But Staley should have been
20:31
Speaker 1: on the radar for everybody from the very beginning. All
20:35
Speaker 1: you had to do is take a look at the
20:37
Speaker 1: relationship between him and Epstein. Mr. Boyd said Jeff Staley
20:42
Speaker 1: himself participated in the sexual abuse and sex trafficking and
20:47
Speaker 1: witnessed it. As a result, there couldn't be any doubt
20:51
Speaker 1: that J.P. Morgan knew about Epstein's operation, Mr. Boyd's argued.
20:56
Speaker 1: Felicia Ellsworth said, A lawyer for the bank claimed that
20:59
Speaker 1: it merely engaged in routine banking activity with Epstein. She
21:04
Speaker 1: argued that the allegations in the complaint were that Mr.
21:07
Speaker 1: Staley witnessed abuse and participated in the abuse, but not
21:11
Speaker 1: that he was involved in sex trafficking. You know what
21:14
Speaker 1: really gets me aggravated? That the SDNY chose not to
21:18
Speaker 1: pursue RICO charges here that would have wrapped all of
21:21
Speaker 1: these people that we talk about up in a nice
21:23
Speaker 1: little bow for the investigators to really dig into. If
21:27
Speaker 1: you ever received a dollar for Jeffrey Epstein, you should
21:30
Speaker 1: have been caught up in the RICO case, just like
21:32
Speaker 1: anybody else. If you have a family member who's involved
21:36
Speaker 1: in organized crime and they send you one dollar, you're
21:39
Speaker 1: now part of that case. And the government can seize
21:42
Speaker 1: all of your assets because they say that they're ill-gotten.
21:46
Speaker 1: And then you have to fight to get those assets back.
21:48
Speaker 1: Can you tell me or show me where any of
21:51
Speaker 1: these people had their assets seized? That would bar Doe's
21:56
Speaker 1: claims under the law it had been filed, Ms. Ellsworth argued. J.P.
22:00
Speaker 1: Morgan is now suing Mr. Staley, saying he could personally
22:04
Speaker 1: be liable for any compensation paid to Doe and is
22:07
Speaker 1: seeking to claw back more than $ 80 million it paid
22:10
Speaker 1: to him. A lawyer for Mr. Staley did not respond
22:14
Speaker 1: to her request for comment. She had previously said she
22:17
Speaker 1: did not use code words with Epstein and did not
22:20
Speaker 1: engage in any wrongdoing. Mr. Staley himself has claimed, that
22:24
Speaker 1: he thought he knew Epstein, but later realized he didn't
22:27
Speaker 1: actually know him. A lawyer for Andrew did not respond
22:31
Speaker 1: to request for comment. So the battle still continues, and
22:36
Speaker 1: the war against those who enabled Jeffrey Epstein continues to
22:40
Speaker 1: march on. The only problem is, there's no law enforcement
22:45
Speaker 1: that is marching to the same tune. So all of
22:47
Speaker 1: these co-conspirators, all of these people that were engaging in
22:51
Speaker 1: this behavior with Jeffrey Epstein, I hate to say it, folks,
22:54
Speaker 1: they're going to get away with it. The government has
22:57
Speaker 1: no desire to go after them. If they did, they
22:59
Speaker 1: would have already done so, but they haven't. So all
23:03
Speaker 1: of the people that were engaging in this behavior with Epstein,
23:07
Speaker 1: they're going to get a free pass. All because your
23:10
Speaker 1: federal government doesn't have the backbone to do what's right.
23:13
Speaker 1: All right, everybody, that's going to do it for this one.
23:17
Speaker 1: All of the information that goes with the episode can
23:19
Speaker 1: be found in the description box. What's up, everyone, and
23:24
Speaker 1: welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. Jeffrey Berman, who was
23:29
Speaker 1: one of the lead prosecutors who was handling the Jeffrey
23:32
Speaker 1: Epstein case after he was arrested the second time and
23:37
Speaker 1: who eventually ended up leaving his position, ended up writing
23:41
Speaker 1: a book. And in that book, he had a few
23:44
Speaker 1: things to say. about the investigation, into Prince Andrew. And
23:49
Speaker 1: the stuff he had to say was pretty damning, folks.
23:52
Speaker 1: And now we're finding out some more that was in
23:54
Speaker 1: that book, and I'll tell you what, it's pretty gross
23:58
Speaker 1: when you use somebody like this Harry Dunn kid as
24:02
Speaker 1: a bargaining chip. And that goes for Prince Andrew, the
24:06
Speaker 1: United States government, and anyone else who would want to
24:09
Speaker 1: use a regular common everyday citizen as a bargaining chip
24:14
Speaker 1: to get Prince Andrew to the table to talk. You
24:19
Speaker 1: mean to tell me it takes all of that to
24:22
Speaker 1: get this guy to do the honorable thing? And as
24:26
Speaker 1: far as America goes, saying that you won't give over
24:30
Speaker 1: any information about the woman... or the woman herself, who
24:35
Speaker 1: ran Harry Dunn over and killed him over in England,
24:39
Speaker 1: that's ridiculous as well, and I find it abhorrent. So,
24:44
Speaker 1: as a quick recap, for those of you who might
24:46
Speaker 1: not have any idea what I'm talking about, let's take
24:49
Speaker 1: a look at the death of Harry Dunn, and to
24:51
Speaker 1: do that, we'll cruise over to Wikipedia. Harry Dunn was
24:55
Speaker 1: a 19-year-old British man who died following a road traffic
24:58
Speaker 1: collision on the 27th of August of 2019. He was
25:03
Speaker 1: riding his motorcycle near Croton, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom, near the
25:08
Speaker 1: exit to Royal Air Force Croton when a car traveling
25:13
Speaker 1: in the opposite direction and on the wrong side of
25:16
Speaker 1: the road collided with him. The car was driven by
25:19
Speaker 1: Ann Sakalas, the wife of CIA employee Jonathan Sakalas, stationed
25:25
Speaker 1: at the time at the United States Air Force Listening Station,
25:29
Speaker 1: RAF Croton. Sakalus admitted that she had been driving the
25:33
Speaker 1: car on the wrong side of the road, and the
25:36
Speaker 1: police said that, based on CCT footage, they believe that
25:40
Speaker 1: to be true. Dunn was pronounced dead at the major
25:43
Speaker 1: trauma center of John Radcliffe Hospital. The collision caused diplomatic
25:49
Speaker 1: tensions between the United Kingdom and the U.S. The U.S.
25:53
Speaker 1: assisted Sakalus' flight from England and voiced support for her
25:57
Speaker 1: claims to diplomatic immunity. On December 20th of 2019, the
26:03
Speaker 1: Crown Prosecution Service said that Sakalas was to be charged
26:07
Speaker 1: with causing death by dangerous driving. At a hearing in
26:11
Speaker 1: Westminster Magistrates Court on the 29th of September 2022, she
26:16
Speaker 1: appeared by video link. But up until this point, there
26:20
Speaker 1: was this whole entire political row about her killing this
26:26
Speaker 1: kid and then being given diplomatic immunity. And there was
26:30
Speaker 1: a lot of talk that America was saying, look, if
26:33
Speaker 1: you don't let us talk to Prince Andrew, then you
26:35
Speaker 1: can't talk to her. And as much as I want
26:39
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew to be held accountable, I don't want this
26:42
Speaker 1: this young man, a 19 year old kid from the
26:45
Speaker 1: UK who had nothing to do with this to be
26:47
Speaker 1: used as a bargaining chip. He had nothing to do
26:51
Speaker 1: with this. This woman should have been ponied up by
26:54
Speaker 1: the American government right away. In fact, she should have
26:57
Speaker 1: never been able to leave the country. She should have
27:01
Speaker 1: been put in house arrest, whatever it is, but she
27:04
Speaker 1: should have had to stay in the UK to answer
27:06
Speaker 1: for what she did. Just because you're married to some douchey-ass,
27:12
Speaker 1: unelected American bureaucrat doesn't give you the right to kill
27:16
Speaker 1: anybody and get away with it. Just like it doesn't
27:19
Speaker 1: give bitch-ass Prince Andrew the right to rape and touch
27:23
Speaker 1: people who don't want it. Alright, so now that we're
27:27
Speaker 1: kind of caught up on what's up with Harry Dunn,
27:30
Speaker 1: Let's take a look at our article for the night
27:33
Speaker 1: over at The Sun. And let's see what author Tom
27:37
Speaker 1: Wells has for us. Headline, Royal Mess. Prince Andrew blocked
27:43
Speaker 1: Harry Dunn's killer extradition by refusing U.S. investigators quiz. And again,
27:50
Speaker 1: as much as I want Prince Andrew nailed, as much
27:52
Speaker 1: as I want him to sit down with a seasoned investigator,
27:56
Speaker 1: I'm not very comfortable using... the Dunn family, and Harry
28:00
Speaker 1: Dunn's obvious negligent death at the hands of Anne Sakalus
28:05
Speaker 1: as a bargaining chip to do so. Prince Andrew's refusal
28:12
Speaker 1: to be quizzed by U.S. investigators directly blocked a bid
28:15
Speaker 1: to extradite the alleged killer of Harry Dunn, a new
28:19
Speaker 1: book claims. Officials wanted to ask Andrew, 62, about links
28:24
Speaker 1: to billionaire pedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein. You know what's so
28:27
Speaker 1: galling about all of this and what people don't want
28:30
Speaker 1: to admit in the midst of their cognitive dissonance? The
28:34
Speaker 1: fact that the queen played a big-ass role here, right?
28:38
Speaker 1: If the queen would have been somebody who cared about
28:41
Speaker 1: what happened, she would have forced Andrew to go and
28:44
Speaker 1: speak to the FBI like he said he was going
28:46
Speaker 1: to do. She is the queen after all, right? These
28:49
Speaker 1: are her subjects, right? They have to do what she says, right? Well,
28:54
Speaker 1: why didn't she do that? She had years and years
28:58
Speaker 1: and years to make that happen, and she never did it.
29:03
Speaker 1: If anyone was in a position to force Prince Andrew's
29:07
Speaker 1: hand as far as making him speak with the authorities
29:10
Speaker 1: or anyone else, it certainly was the Queen. His zero
29:17
Speaker 1: cooperation gave the U.S. an excuse not to hand over
29:21
Speaker 1: CIA spies' wife and Sackaloos' ex-New York prosecutor Jeffrey Berman, alleges,
29:27
Speaker 1: and again with the CIA. Earlier I was talking about
29:31
Speaker 1: the CIA and their ridiculous venture capital firm. Now here,
29:37
Speaker 1: they just get away with whatever they want, huh? Oh,
29:39
Speaker 1: you got diplomaticism? immunity, is it? I'm not a big
29:42
Speaker 1: fan of that either, by the way, for anyone. If
29:45
Speaker 1: you commit a crime in the country that you're working
29:48
Speaker 1: in and you're convicted of that crime, then you should
29:51
Speaker 1: have to pay the penalty. I don't care that you're
29:54
Speaker 1: some sort of dumbass diplomat, some unelected bureaucrat that none
29:59
Speaker 1: of us wanted. Now all of a sudden you're above
30:02
Speaker 1: the law? And because you're acting like an absolute fool
30:06
Speaker 1: and acting like a buffoon, we should all have to
30:08
Speaker 1: pay the price geopolitically? Sakalus, 45, is accused of causing
30:15
Speaker 1: 19-year-old motorcyclist Harry's death by dangerous driving outside RAF Croughton, Northance.
30:23
Speaker 1: She had diplomatic immunity and left Britain after the crash
30:26
Speaker 1: in 2019. Diplomatic immunity should be for, I don't know,
30:31
Speaker 1: something not like this. If you hit somebody, run somebody over,
30:35
Speaker 1: and there is a chance that it's a criminal situation,
30:39
Speaker 1: then you should have to pay the piper, man. I'm
30:42
Speaker 1: so sick of these people operating on a different plane
30:45
Speaker 1: than the rest of us. Like this young kid Harry
30:47
Speaker 1: Dunn's life didn't matter. Like it was just a shrug
30:51
Speaker 1: your shoulders situation and keep it moving. Not for me.
30:57
Speaker 1: I'm always disgusted when my government engages in behavior like this.
31:02
Speaker 1: And you know, there's a lot of people out there
31:03
Speaker 1: that want to bring up all kinds of crazy what-ifs
31:06
Speaker 1: with the United States government. But for me, there are
31:09
Speaker 1: so many travesties that are actually right there, right in
31:12
Speaker 1: front of your face to point out that I don't
31:15
Speaker 1: have to go on fishing expeditions. All of the damning
31:18
Speaker 1: information you need about groups like the CIA is right
31:22
Speaker 1: here in front of your face. She finally made her
31:26
Speaker 1: first court appearance last week via video link from her
31:29
Speaker 1: lawyer's office in America after a three-year delay. Now, what
31:33
Speaker 1: I will say about that is she's made her appearance.
31:36
Speaker 1: Now it's time for Prince Andrew to make his. When's
31:40
Speaker 1: his hand going to be forced? We know that Scotland
31:43
Speaker 1: Yard has no interest in doing it. So will his brother, Charles,
31:47
Speaker 1: end up doing it, the new king? Who knows? Maybe
31:50
Speaker 1: that'll be a way for him to really rid himself
31:53
Speaker 1: of Andrew once and for all. I don't put anything
31:56
Speaker 1: behind these people when it comes to palace intrigue. Now
32:04
Speaker 1: Berman says Prince Andrew's standoff became a chit or leverage
32:09
Speaker 1: used by the Trump government. His account is the first
32:12
Speaker 1: time any official has publicly revealed how Andrew's stance had
32:16
Speaker 1: a major impact on Harry's case. Look, there's enough blame
32:20
Speaker 1: to go around here. The Trump administration shouldn't have been
32:23
Speaker 1: doing this. Why are you engaging in this sort of move?
32:28
Speaker 1: There's no way that they're going to pony up Andrew.
32:32
Speaker 1: And this lady obviously hit this kid. She admitted to it. So,
32:37
Speaker 1: logically speaking, you would think that everybody should be on
32:40
Speaker 1: board with her facing justice. And it's not like she
32:43
Speaker 1: was about to face justice in some, you know, country
32:47
Speaker 1: where they're very brutal with the way they distribute it.
32:52
Speaker 1: She was going to face this justice in England, one
32:54
Speaker 1: of our allies. And in his new memoir, Holding the Line, Mr.
33:00
Speaker 1: Berman tells how the U.S. Attorney General, Bill Barr, rang
33:04
Speaker 1: to congratulate him after he publicly slammed Andrews' zero cooperation. Mr.
33:10
Speaker 1: Berman recalled, Barr told me that the public rift over
33:13
Speaker 1: Prince Andrew's refusal to sit for an interview was useful
33:16
Speaker 1: in this other case. I mean, imagine the audacity of
33:19
Speaker 1: Darth Barr. Mr. I saw the Jeffrey Epstein video, so
33:23
Speaker 1: you should believe me. Nobody else saw it, but I did.
33:26
Speaker 1: And I'm the most trustworthy guy in the room. Just
33:28
Speaker 1: ask anybody. I mean, for real, you really think I'm
33:31
Speaker 1: out here and I'm going to believe what Bill Barr
33:34
Speaker 1: has to say? And you look at this whole situation
33:38
Speaker 1: and it just reeks of Bill Barr and his ridiculous
33:42
Speaker 1: way of going about things. The Sun revealed in 2020
33:48
Speaker 1: how prosecutors later filed a former mutual legal assistance request
33:53
Speaker 1: to the home office asking to quiz Andrew. Mr. Berman
33:57
Speaker 1: says in his book that the demand got absolutely nowhere.
34:01
Speaker 1: And remember at the time when we were talking about this,
34:04
Speaker 1: They said that they were going to be helpful, right?
34:06
Speaker 1: That they were willing to do whatever it took to
34:09
Speaker 1: help their American partners bring Andrew in to have a talk. Yeah,
34:13
Speaker 1: that went far, didn't it? He wrote, were they protecting him?
34:18
Speaker 1: I assume someone was. And he adds, Prince Andrew clearly
34:21
Speaker 1: knew Epstein and Maxwell. He was on the island. He
34:24
Speaker 1: was at the mansion in New York. He was in
34:27
Speaker 1: London with them. We had a lot of questions for him.
34:30
Speaker 1: And as of the day I was fired... Those questions
34:33
Speaker 1: remained unanswered. Well, let's just replace Prince Andrew's name with
34:39
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton clearly knew Epstein and Maxwell. He
34:43
Speaker 1: was on the island. He was at the mansion in
34:45
Speaker 1: New York. He was in London with them. We had
34:48
Speaker 1: a lot of questions for him. And as of the
34:50
Speaker 1: day I was fired, those questions remained unanswered. You could
34:53
Speaker 1: easily just slide Bill Clinton's name in there too, couldn't you?
34:58
Speaker 1: Funny how that works though. But either way, The fact
35:01
Speaker 1: that this poor kid, Harry Dunn, and his senseless death
35:05
Speaker 1: was used as a political football is gross. And even
35:11
Speaker 1: with that, they couldn't press Andrew. And even with that,
35:14
Speaker 1: the British government, the Queen, Scotland Yard, they still wouldn't
35:18
Speaker 1: play ball. It shows you how they feel about their
35:20
Speaker 1: subjects as well. So it's not just a black eye
35:23
Speaker 1: on a pox on the American government, which it is,
35:26
Speaker 1: but it's also a black eye on a pox on
35:28
Speaker 1: the English government. And it's just par for the course
35:33
Speaker 1: when it comes to everything surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and his
35:38
Speaker 1: bipedal serpent pal, Ghislaine Maxwell. All right, folks, that's going
35:43
Speaker 1: to do it for this episode. If you'd like to
35:45
Speaker 1: contact me, you can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com.
35:49
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. You can also find me on
35:57
Speaker 1: Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link that I discussed
36:04
Speaker 1: can be found in the description box. What's up everyone
36:08
Speaker 1: and welcome back to the program. As the Queen and
36:12
Speaker 1: the Royal Family get prepared for the Jubilee, there's another
36:17
Speaker 1: group of people in England who are also prepared for it.
36:22
Speaker 1: And they're so excited about it, in fact, that they
36:25
Speaker 1: have re-released their song called God Save the Queen. And folks,
36:31
Speaker 1: you all know who I'm talking about. I am talking
36:34
Speaker 1: about one of the greatest punk rock bands of all time,
36:38
Speaker 1: some of the godfathers of punk rock, and some of
36:42
Speaker 1: the baddest dudes to ever do it, the Sex Pistols. Now,
36:47
Speaker 1: during the Queen's first Jubilee celebration, they released God Save
36:52
Speaker 1: the Queen. And when they released this song, they were
36:55
Speaker 1: met with all kinds of scorn, all kinds of anger,
36:59
Speaker 1: and the Royalists obviously were not happy about them putting
37:04
Speaker 1: this song out. And it went so far as to
37:07
Speaker 1: them being banned on the radio, BBC wouldn't play them,
37:11
Speaker 1: they were getting bumped off the charts, all kinds of stuff.
37:15
Speaker 1: And even with all of that turmoil, the band and
37:18
Speaker 1: the song found great success. So now that it's Platinum
37:22
Speaker 1: Jubilee time, my guy Johnny Rotten decided that they were
37:26
Speaker 1: going to re-release the video, but add some new footage
37:30
Speaker 1: and a few more bells and whistles. So let's get
37:34
Speaker 1: into this article from the New York Post and see
37:37
Speaker 1: what author Adriana Diaz has for us. Headline, Sex Pistols
37:43
Speaker 1: Crash Queens Jubilee Again With New Music Video. God Save
37:50
Speaker 1: the Queen. Again, the Sex Pistols have re-released their band hit,
37:55
Speaker 1: God Save the Queen, ahead of Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum
37:59
Speaker 1: Jubilee celebration. And also remember, the Cunts released a song
38:05
Speaker 1: called Prince Andrew is a Nonce that came out recently
38:09
Speaker 1: as well. Hilarious song, relatively short, like a minute and
38:13
Speaker 1: 48 seconds. The video's pretty funny, so you might want
38:17
Speaker 1: to check that out as well. The new music video
38:21
Speaker 1: was cut using footage from the performance video shot by
38:25
Speaker 1: Julian Temple at the Marquee in May 1977 and clips
38:31
Speaker 1: of the Thames Riverboat Party on the Silver Jubilee Day
38:35
Speaker 1: in June that same year. Now, when they did this,
38:38
Speaker 1: it was revolutionary, right? Nobody was coming out with music
38:42
Speaker 1: like this against the Queen or the monarchy, especially people
38:46
Speaker 1: who were subjects of the crown. And the whole punk movement,
38:51
Speaker 1: the whole essence of it, was snubbing their nose at authority,
38:56
Speaker 1: telling authority to get fucked. And it was always one
39:01
Speaker 1: of the biggest draws of punk rock for me. I've
39:03
Speaker 1: always been a go-against-authority kind of guy, right? I'm not
39:06
Speaker 1: a big fan of a bunch of rules, not a
39:09
Speaker 1: big fan of people telling me what I can and
39:12
Speaker 1: can't do at a concert. You know, oh, don't mosh, don't...
39:15
Speaker 1: So punk rock music has always been... one of my
39:19
Speaker 1: preferred genres of music to listen to, and especially go
39:23
Speaker 1: to live. And the way the Sex Pistols revolutionized things,
39:28
Speaker 1: you can't be a punk rock fan and not like
39:31
Speaker 1: the Sex Pistols. Especially when you look at how soft
39:34
Speaker 1: punk rock has become for the most part. You know,
39:36
Speaker 1: it's become corporatized. A lot of these punk rockers, you know,
39:40
Speaker 1: they get on with the party politicians. You know, the
39:43
Speaker 1: whole thing. When the reality is, punk is always supposed
39:46
Speaker 1: to be raging against whoever is in power. And the
39:51
Speaker 1: Sex Pistols certainly embodied that. It also features exclusive footage
39:58
Speaker 1: of some of the earliest, most important, and influential female
40:02
Speaker 1: fans of the band, including Vivian, Jordan, Debbie and Tracy, Catwoman,
40:07
Speaker 1: and Helen of Troy. Now, the Sex Pistols had quite
40:11
Speaker 1: the assortment of fans and people who were into their music,
40:14
Speaker 1: just like any popular band ends up having. But the
40:19
Speaker 1: fans of punk rock, they were into it, right? They
40:22
Speaker 1: were playing the part. It wasn't just while they were
40:24
Speaker 1: at the music. Punk rock was a way of life
40:28
Speaker 1: for these people. They were running around living it. It
40:32
Speaker 1: wasn't just getting the big hair, throwing on the bomber jacket,
40:35
Speaker 1: putting on your docs, and going to the punk rock show,
40:38
Speaker 1: and then getting out of that outfit and looking normal.
40:41
Speaker 1: These people were punk rockers, and they were living that life.
40:45
Speaker 1: And a lot of these people were gutter punks before
40:48
Speaker 1: gutter punk was even a thing. The song with the
40:52
Speaker 1: same title as the British National Anthem was originally released
40:56
Speaker 1: in 1977 during the Queen Silver Jubilee. The iconic punk
41:02
Speaker 1: song was banned by the BBC and other major commercial
41:05
Speaker 1: airwaves for its anti-royal lyrics. but still managed to top
41:09
Speaker 1: the charts, reaching number two on the UK singles chart.
41:13
Speaker 1: Though some even speculated that the charts were altered to
41:18
Speaker 1: push the song out of number one. And why would
41:21
Speaker 1: anyone doubt that? We all know how much of a
41:24
Speaker 1: hold BBC had on things back in the day over
41:28
Speaker 1: in England. All you have to do is look at
41:30
Speaker 1: how Jimmy Savile was treated and look at how his
41:33
Speaker 1: story was swept under the rug. Now you have these
41:36
Speaker 1: punk rockers showing up, messy hair, dirty, drug addicts for
41:40
Speaker 1: the most part, drunken fools, and they're not watching their mouths.
41:44
Speaker 1: They're saying whatever the hell they want to say about
41:47
Speaker 1: the monarchy, about society, and about the people who would
41:51
Speaker 1: rule over them. And up until that point, it really
41:54
Speaker 1: wasn't something that you were hearing in music all that much.
41:58
Speaker 1: And punk rock really opened the door for that. And
42:01
Speaker 1: you have seen that built on in the hip hop community,
42:04
Speaker 1: especially where there's a lot of socially based music, right?
42:08
Speaker 1: Things about culture, things about the current environment, about what's
42:12
Speaker 1: going on. And punk rock has always been basically hip hop,
42:16
Speaker 1: but with fast guitars, drums, and, you know, only three
42:20
Speaker 1: chords being played. The stories are very similar, though. Broken homes,
42:25
Speaker 1: drug addiction, drug abuse, same kind of deal. All right, folks,
42:32
Speaker 1: let's take a quick commercial break. The re-release of the
42:39
Speaker 1: song comes just in time for this year's Platinum Jubilee,
42:43
Speaker 1: which will be observed with a four-day public holiday from
42:46
Speaker 1: June 2nd until June 5th, celebrating 70 years of Queen
42:51
Speaker 1: Elizabeth II's place on the throne. Well, to commemorate That celebration,
42:57
Speaker 1: I'm going to be playing God Save the Queen at
42:59
Speaker 1: least once a day for all of those days of
43:02
Speaker 1: the Jubilee celebration. The Sex Pistols have also released the
43:08
Speaker 1: Pistol Mint commemorative coin to honor the Queen's celebration. The
43:12
Speaker 1: nickel-plated coin features artist Jamie Reed's Union Jack flag design
43:17
Speaker 1: on the front and the Queen rocking a lip piercing
43:20
Speaker 1: on the back. Gotta love that. You gotta love it.
43:24
Speaker 1: And the Sex Pistols still to this day are going
43:27
Speaker 1: hard in the paint. You see all of these rockers,
43:30
Speaker 1: especially in America. I was really bummed with a lot
43:33
Speaker 1: of these punk rock groups that got on board with
43:36
Speaker 1: the mainstream narratives. And again, it's supposed to be about
43:40
Speaker 1: raging against all of those in power. Going against the grain.
43:45
Speaker 1: And giving double birds to whoever is sitting in command.
43:53
Speaker 1: Queen Elizabeth II's reign is the longest a monarch has
43:57
Speaker 1: ever ruled Great Britain. Despite the harsh lyrics of God
44:00
Speaker 1: Save the Queen, calling out the firm, Sex Pistols frontman
44:04
Speaker 1: John Lyddon, Johnny Rodden, recently reiterated that the song is
44:08
Speaker 1: not against the Queen as a person, but the royal
44:11
Speaker 1: family as an institution. And that's exactly what it comes
44:14
Speaker 1: down to, right? The Queen, I mean, besides the stuff
44:18
Speaker 1: with Andrew, I don't really have any problem with the lady.
44:22
Speaker 1: You know, she's not my kind of person for the
44:25
Speaker 1: most part. I'm not a fan of just the whole
44:28
Speaker 1: entire uppity type structure, but I don't have any axe
44:33
Speaker 1: to grind with the queen per se. Now, the enabling
44:37
Speaker 1: of Prince Andrew and helping him try to refurbish his image,
44:42
Speaker 1: that's what I have a problem with. But her running
44:45
Speaker 1: the state or being the monarch, I'm not hip enough
44:49
Speaker 1: to all of the ins and outs of the Windsor rule. Again,
44:53
Speaker 1: I just got interested in this because of the Epstein angle.
44:57
Speaker 1: So I'm certainly not a royalist or a historian when
45:00
Speaker 1: it comes to the royal family. The little bit I
45:03
Speaker 1: have seen, however, I am not impressed by. It's anti-royalist,
45:10
Speaker 1: but it's not anti-human, he told Piers Morgan. I've got
45:14
Speaker 1: to tell the world this. Everyone presumes that I'm against
45:16
Speaker 1: the royal family as human beings. I'm not. And I
45:19
Speaker 1: take the same approach, right? I'm not against the whole
45:23
Speaker 1: royal family per se, but the way that they conduct
45:26
Speaker 1: themselves and the way that they have handled this whole
45:31
Speaker 1: entire situation with Andrew has just been absolutely piss poor
45:38
Speaker 1: and disgusting. And going by that, I don't have a
45:43
Speaker 1: great opinion of the institution or the firm. I just
45:48
Speaker 1: think that if I'm paying my tax money to support
45:50
Speaker 1: this system, I should have a say in how it's spent,
45:53
Speaker 1: he explained. He told Morgan he actually loves the pageantry
45:57
Speaker 1: and thinks it's a shame that it's possibly the end
46:01
Speaker 1: of the monarchy because Prince Charles is not going to
46:04
Speaker 1: be able to handle it. I agree with that a
46:06
Speaker 1: thousand percent. We've talked about Prince Charles not being capable
46:10
Speaker 1: of handling this for a long time here on the podcast.
46:14
Speaker 1: And I am 100% in agreement that he is going
46:18
Speaker 1: to fumble the ball big time. And I don't know
46:21
Speaker 1: if his son is going to be able to pick
46:24
Speaker 1: up the pieces. His son is not as reviled as
46:27
Speaker 1: he is, but I think the institution of the monarchy
46:31
Speaker 1: is starting to become a thing of the past. And
46:33
Speaker 1: as more younger people come into power positions... I think
46:37
Speaker 1: they're going to shrug their shoulders at all of this.
46:42
Speaker 1: He even went so far to congratulate the 96-year-old queen
46:45
Speaker 1: for surviving so long. I'm actually really, really proud of
46:49
Speaker 1: the queen for surviving and doing so well. I applaud
46:52
Speaker 1: her for that, and that's a fantastic achievement. I'm not
46:56
Speaker 1: a curmudgeon about that, Lyddon said. And why would you be?
46:59
Speaker 1: I don't want to see anyone hurt or die. That's
47:03
Speaker 1: just bad juju for you, yourself. That's bad karma when
47:06
Speaker 1: you wish ill on other people. Even when you criticize people,
47:10
Speaker 1: you should try and do so without wishing harm on
47:12
Speaker 1: them in most cases. Now, if people are just absolutely vile,
47:17
Speaker 1: then I'm a little bit more quick to say, I
47:20
Speaker 1: really don't care if this person lives or dies and
47:23
Speaker 1: I have no empathy for them. It really depends on
47:25
Speaker 1: what you have done in your life or what crimes
47:28
Speaker 1: you're convicted of to sway my opinion one way or
47:32
Speaker 1: the other. But when it comes to the queen, you
47:35
Speaker 1: have to, at the very least, give a tip of
47:37
Speaker 1: the cap and a nod to the longevity of her rule.
47:41
Speaker 1: She's been through some serious upheaval and some turmoil, and
47:44
Speaker 1: she's been able to keep the reins on this thing
47:47
Speaker 1: for this long. So you definitely have to give her
47:49
Speaker 1: a nod of the cap and give her credit where
47:52
Speaker 1: it's due. What she has accomplished is not easy, especially
47:56
Speaker 1: with all of the buffoonery her sons and the rest
47:59
Speaker 1: of the people around her were engaging in. Along with
48:03
Speaker 1: the Royal Celebration this weekend, the song's re-release also coincides
48:08
Speaker 1: with the May 31st premiere of the TV series Pistol.
48:12
Speaker 1: The Hulu FX miniseries is a biographical drama following the
48:16
Speaker 1: rise of the British punk band's revolution, changing music and
48:21
Speaker 1: culture in the 70s. So I'm definitely going to dive
48:25
Speaker 1: into that show in a little while, in fact. It
48:27
Speaker 1: just came out. All episodes are streaming now. So I'm
48:31
Speaker 1: going to dive into that and watch it over the
48:33
Speaker 1: next day or two. Because the Sex Pistols were certainly
48:38
Speaker 1: one of the most important punk rock bands for me
48:42
Speaker 1: growing up. One of the first bands I was... introduced
48:46
Speaker 1: to in the genre, and it is certainly one of
48:49
Speaker 1: the greatest punk bands of all time. So if you're
48:53
Speaker 1: interested in punk rock, obviously, or just a cool story,
48:58
Speaker 1: I certainly suggest checking out what they have going on
49:02
Speaker 1: over at Hulu. Now, especially considering that I just finished
49:05
Speaker 1: with Cobra Kai. I know I'm late to the party
49:07
Speaker 1: with that and all, but Over the weekend, my girlfriend
49:10
Speaker 1: and I sat down and we carved out some time
49:13
Speaker 1: to binge the last three seasons of it. We had
49:17
Speaker 1: watched the first two. And man, talk about nostalgia. I
49:21
Speaker 1: am really excited for the fifth season to pop out
49:23
Speaker 1: now and hopefully there'll be some more shows in the
49:27
Speaker 1: meantime to keep me busy until the new season comes
49:31
Speaker 1: out because it was awesome Anyway, folks, that's going to
49:36

Speaker 1: a little while.
