- 14:57Speaker 2: Call people and I to expect my.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Feelings through writing in it. I love poaching and the
- 15:04Speaker 5: Sister's National Poetry Month. I wanted to write a tribute

- 15:24Speaker 5: my sight yet I love your words and I will
- 15:27Speaker 5: keep my eyes on you. It began, It begins with
- 15:31Speaker 5: lengths and you and your gifts and Maya Andelou. It
- 15:36Speaker 5: is you who encouraged me to push on with all
- 15:38Speaker 5: my might, and you who have inspired me to continue
- 15:41Speaker 5: to write. So here to all the poets that have
- 15:44Speaker 5: lessened the way, but for those of you who still
- 15:48Speaker 5: have lots to say, write born, sisters and brothers, write,
- 15:52Speaker 5: born to encourage others. Write for that's that's in you,
- 15:57Speaker 5: others for what's in you. Others have piction here right
- 16:01Speaker 5: for you know you have a lot to share, right
- 16:04Speaker 5: for and you rise a treasure chest right the rest right,
- 16:09Speaker 5: the best, right right right. So let those words buy
- 16:14Speaker 5: right poets right.

- 16:29Speaker 4: from a lot of the poets, every last one of
- 16:33Speaker 4: these poets. I also poets inside of the Crowning Glory
- 16:38Speaker 4: book that dropped on yesterday. It is a tribute, y'all.
- 16:44Speaker 4: It's helping me celebrate my fiftieth birthday as well as
- 16:49Speaker 4: National Poetry Month. So we have an opportunity to a
- 16:54Speaker 4: lot of them, And y'all, when I read this, it
- 16:57Speaker 4: was just so amazing. A lot of them took an
- 16:59Speaker 4: opportunity to use their words to celebrate me, and I
- 17:02Speaker 4: was like, wow, thank you, Like y'all had me in
- 17:06Speaker 4: tears when I was reading this book, like I'm so
- 17:10Speaker 4: honored and I'm so blowed away. Like sometimes you don't
- 17:13Speaker 4: realize the impact that you have on people, and then
- 17:16Speaker 4: you get the opportunity to share. Martine, can you share
- 17:21Speaker 4: a peace? Because you you didn't you, you didn't share
- 17:24Speaker 4: a piece? You you you you you you. You ran
- 17:27Speaker 4: out real quick on me, but you know you can.

- 17:37Speaker 2: Okay, I share one that I share anew and that
- 17:42Speaker 2: I wrote. It's not real long. It's cause the experience,
- 17:45Speaker 2: all right.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Okay, they want to be like us. They sear skin relevant.
- 17:54Speaker 2: They learn it by by O, but they love. That's abusive.
- 18:01Speaker 5: But yet they added our color to the mix. And
- 18:05Speaker 5: any drop of color it enhances what it touches.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I created it. I creativity is a mask. Our music
- 18:13Speaker 2: is such a bye.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Any music from Billie Holliday to rap it's bad or
- 18:18Speaker 5: shunned and to one of theirs comes along to imitate, replicate, duplicate.
- 18:25Speaker 2: What is already great. We are the essence, We are
- 18:30Speaker 2: the essence, we need never forget what they love to
- 18:34Speaker 2: hate and hate to love is us.
- 18:38Speaker 4: And that's the experience, that's that piece like y'all. I
- 18:45Speaker 4: told y'all, look, I'm telling y'all tonight, y'all in floud.

- 20:08Speaker 10: put together a book?
- 20:09Speaker 2: You should? You should publish a poll that I never
- 20:11Speaker 2: really thought about it because it was my goal and

- 21:39Speaker 2: of grandkids and been not all you know, walking the road,
- 21:44Speaker 2: so you know this is where this born spirits from.
- 21:50Speaker 2: So a grandmother's please. This little girl makes me so sick. Lord,
- 21:55Speaker 2: I've raised my children, so why can't I quit? Why
- 21:59Speaker 2: must I be responsible for this child? This little girl
- 22:03Speaker 2: is just.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Two damn wild all who does stand about and whenever
- 22:08Speaker 5: she speaks she's cursing me out. She's still and saffy,
- 22:12Speaker 5: a little list know it all, but in time to
- 22:15Speaker 5: trouble gets who she calls. Trying to reason with her
- 22:19Speaker 5: is like reasoning with a break. Before I open my mouth,
- 22:23Speaker 5: she steps me up real quick. She hurts my feelings
- 22:27Speaker 5: and doesn't even care. I just shaking my head and
- 22:31Speaker 5: say a quietly, say a prayer. She always has an
- 22:35Speaker 5: avatude She's always had some unpleasant news. Her countenance is always.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Saying, ain't nothing wrong, Lord, She just wants me to
- 22:45Speaker 2: feel bad.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Why, Lord, what have I ever done? Because she blamed
- 22:50Speaker 5: me for the iniquities of my time? Does she blame
- 22:54Speaker 5: me for her house? And see mother who shot her away?
- 22:57Speaker 2: He just kept her? Brother will wondering what's going on
- 23:01Speaker 2: in this child's line? Why do you teach herself? Sometimes? Lord?
- 23:07Speaker 5: I know you have a sense of humor and sometimes play.
- 23:11Speaker 5: But to tell the truth, Lord, I'm old and gray.
- 23:14Speaker 5: I don't feel like no more explight. I want to
- 23:18Speaker 5: enjoy the rest of my life. I don't feel like
- 23:22Speaker 5: no more tears. I want to be happy in.
- 23:25Speaker 2: My declining years. So I ask you, Lord, what am
- 23:28Speaker 2: I to do?
- 23:29Speaker 5: Then I heard him faith, I gave this child to
- 23:34Speaker 5: to give with this child stable home, to teach this
- 23:37Speaker 5: child right from wrong. To teach this child when my
- 23:41Speaker 5: words say, to teach this child, to kneel and preak,
- 23:45Speaker 5: to teach this child through her heartbreak, to call on.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Me in that's the silence her face.
- 23:51Speaker 5: To teach this child when all us felt, she has
- 23:55Speaker 5: a God who loves her and one who cares. Yes,
- 23:58Speaker 5: I gave you this your own age, because now you're
- 24:02Speaker 5: full of grace, not a rage. I want to keep
- 24:06Speaker 5: this child from the liyer's sin and away from the
- 24:10Speaker 5: great sin.
- 24:11Speaker 8: And I know you're the one to get the job gone.

- 26:33Speaker 2: Publisher and any English music. But I wanted nothing to
- 26:36Speaker 2: be people because it reminded me a lot of monology.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Bring in Angela when I first met you and just
- 26:45Speaker 5: struggle for I head and but I have comfort and
- 26:48Speaker 5: its entitled the light of Darkness, that they'd be like,
- 26:53Speaker 5: that's what I was hoping for, waiting for I could
- 26:57Speaker 5: take some more darkness.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I had lost my sight, lost my sight. No, I
- 27:02Speaker 2: was not all right. I wanted it to end, no
- 27:05Speaker 2: longer to pretend that I was designed. I wanted to
- 27:10Speaker 2: breathe again, not just shallow peep. I couldn't not seek
- 27:15Speaker 2: pizza and wind. I wanted to just sleep, but I
- 27:18Speaker 2: weeping here. These thoughts were sleeping into my mind. But
- 27:23Speaker 2: why pull the life just creeping and show me there
- 27:27Speaker 2: was hope before? I felt like I couldn't cope any
- 27:30Speaker 2: more way. I see a door, but I can't reach it.
- 27:36Speaker 5: I slept to this floor in a paralyzed state, paralyzed
- 27:40Speaker 5: by the fear, paralyzed by the pone, paradized by the
- 27:43Speaker 5: un But what's what I gained from leaving this life?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Wait through the door? I feel light in the deep
- 27:53Speaker 2: darkness and shines so right. I can't let go. I
- 27:55Speaker 2: fight in spite of the fact that my own actions
- 28:00Speaker 2: put me here, regurgitating peals that could have ended me.
- 28:04Speaker 2: An act so severe for a wish to just disappear.
- 28:08Speaker 2: But what turned out to being your catalyst for the reverses?
- 28:12Speaker 5: A woman previously found who fought to these three, who
- 28:15Speaker 5: made all the pain aside with friends, But she could
- 28:18Speaker 5: not seek a life of unknown opportunity, so long afraid
- 28:25Speaker 5: to them and unafraid to die and non confidently be
- 28:27Speaker 5: able to search for her wife, all because she divides
- 28:30Speaker 5: more the pain influence by her mentor and support her
- 28:33Speaker 5: a healthy mind susist she did entertain and vows who
- 28:37Speaker 5: remain faithful to the one who loved her truth, the
- 28:40Speaker 5: one she barely knew.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But through dislife she began to view as powerful, knowledgeable,
- 28:47Speaker 2: and courageous too because she made it through what Manny
- 28:51Speaker 2: couldn't do. It strives every day to begin a news
- 28:55Speaker 2: with love, kindness, and it could have sense of who
- 28:58Speaker 2: she is to be a woman who so a woman
- 29:02Speaker 2: loves like about unapologiic thank you, right, all.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Right, Wow, I told y'all, I told y'all, they brought
- 29:14Speaker 4: it tonight. They brought it tonight. So I hope you
- 29:18Speaker 4: can stick around, because I'm sure I'm telling you they
- 29:21Speaker 4: gonna they want to chime in tonight, y'all. Make sure
- 29:25Speaker 4: y'all call in seven one seven, seven three four six
- 29:30Speaker 4: nine oh four identification number with access number five four
- 29:35Speaker 4: six one one five zero pound and then you're gonna
- 29:40Speaker 4: press one pound. And then if you want to join
- 29:43Speaker 4: the conversation, go ahead and press start two, Press star
- 29:49Speaker 4: two and you will be in Q two. Join the conversation, y'all.
- 29:56Speaker 4: We're gonna get a chance to really dive in and
- 29:59Speaker 4: talk to these poor tonight. So if you've heard someone,
- 30:03Speaker 4: you've heard a piece, and you want to chime in
- 30:06Speaker 4: on that piece tonight, you want to find out a
- 30:08Speaker 4: little more about these amazing queens, because guess what all
- 30:11Speaker 4: of them are inside of this book, this amazing book,
- 30:16Speaker 4: Crowning Glory. I tell you, it's amazing, y'all. And it's
- 30:19Speaker 4: on all major platforms, y'all. Guess what we have another
- 30:25Speaker 4: poet in the building. Melanie. You are an educator. Oh,
- 30:29Speaker 4: you wear many hats. I can't just say educator, you
- 30:33Speaker 4: wear MANI hats. Why poetry? Out of all things that
- 30:38Speaker 4: you could have chose? You could have really dove into photography.
- 30:44Speaker 4: So why chose poetry?
- 30:49Speaker 2: Hm?
- 30:56Speaker 4: Why poetry? You there.
- 31:02Speaker 2: There?
- 31:03Speaker 8: Melanie?
- 31:08Speaker 4: So Melanie, I don't think Melanie's Melanie you there?
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm here? Yeah, I mean I think choose poetry.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Poetry actually chose me because I really just started writing poetry.
- 31:25Speaker 2: That is, I didn't know I hated ending and it
- 31:30Speaker 2: was since the urge is just right and things that happened,
- 31:35Speaker 2: and it was actually the time when George.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Uh Floyd has gotten murdered and I just wanted to
- 31:41Speaker 5: write and it just came out in a in a
- 31:45Speaker 5: blank that just thing to just blow and says then
- 31:48Speaker 5: I just find it easier to like some of the
- 31:51Speaker 5: other boards that spoken, to just express myself through person.
- 31:57Speaker 2: You know, it just feels comfortable. Wow.
- 32:00Speaker 4: But definitely I want you to hang around if you can,
- 32:03Speaker 4: and we're definitely gonna chime in on that conversation because
- 32:08Speaker 4: I'm sure a lot of people are gonna have that
- 32:10Speaker 4: same conversation because me, I am just like you even
- 32:15Speaker 4: with the monologue that that was something that I'd never
- 32:18Speaker 4: done before and that was something totally new. So poetry
- 32:25Speaker 4: was one of those things. And doing the pandemic was
- 32:28Speaker 4: when a lot of these things began to come forth.
- 32:34Speaker 4: You know a lot of people began to tap into
- 32:37Speaker 4: a lot of things that they didn't even know existed
- 32:40Speaker 4: within them. But there were opportunities for us all to
- 32:47Speaker 4: discover those gifts and tap in. Well, guess what, we
- 32:53Speaker 4: have an opportunity to bring on out of those that
- 32:59Speaker 4: have come for you, because two of our guests are
- 33:05Speaker 4: not gonna be on tonight, and they may be in
- 33:09Speaker 4: the areas where there's bad weather. I know that Tennessee
- 33:13Speaker 4: was expecting some bad weather. I know Micheline maybe in
- 33:16Speaker 4: Tennessee area. Teresa is in the South Carolina area, and
- 33:20Speaker 4: I know there's a lot been going on in those
- 33:23Speaker 4: areas here lately. But we take advantage of every opportunity
- 33:27Speaker 4: that we get, and we just want to make sure
- 33:31Speaker 4: that we get an opportunity to really highlight and showcase
- 33:34Speaker 4: these amazing poets as we celebrate National Poetry Month. Since
- 33:41Speaker 4: we already have you already in Q, Miss Melanie, I
- 33:47Speaker 4: want you to share about this book that we just
- 33:50Speaker 4: dropped on yesterday. Have you had the opportunity to take
- 33:56Speaker 4: a look at it?
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yes, I have Habit text the opportunity to read some
- 34:06Speaker 2: of the patients and it is amazing. I felt so
- 34:12Speaker 2: happy for you into when I read some of the
- 34:15Speaker 2: pieces that they had written.
- 34:18Speaker 5: And specifically to high like you at this special time
- 34:22Speaker 5: in your life, your birthday, and how wonderful that was
- 34:27Speaker 5: to have that in the writing poem, so that for
- 34:32Speaker 5: the rest of your life. That's some bacon and I
- 34:36Speaker 5: could kind of a twin when I did My People,
- 34:38Speaker 5: and I don't know if you actually when you read it,
- 34:41Speaker 5: if you actually realized their good its faceable wisdom. That
- 34:45Speaker 5: was a piece that I wrote in honor to you
- 34:50Speaker 5: because it took me back to our.
- 34:51Speaker 2: My act and I remember how hard it was for
- 34:55Speaker 2: you to play the role that you had to play
- 34:58Speaker 2: to be grat me, you know, in the beginning.
- 35:03Speaker 5: But I looked at who you were, who you have
- 35:08Speaker 5: been to me since then, and that's where that.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Peace came from. I wanted you to be.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Able to read it and see bits of yourself in
- 35:17Speaker 5: that poem because that's where my came from.
- 35:22Speaker 4: And you know what I it was very hard and
- 35:29Speaker 4: like I looked.
- 35:30Speaker 5: Back, Yes, oh my goodness, I played in the Anlague.
- 35:38Speaker 5: It was fantastic man behind the man, and I played
- 35:45Speaker 5: h a character entitled Wisdom. And I was fully just
- 35:52Speaker 5: picked on and talked about in the beginning of My Peace.
- 35:57Speaker 5: But Angela was paying listen with the with the responsibility
- 36:04Speaker 5: of being the voice that was in my head and
- 36:07Speaker 5: talking about me and saying all these little negive things,
- 36:10Speaker 5: and that was all her to do at the beginning
- 36:14Speaker 5: of that Teeth and during that monophag each one of
- 36:19Speaker 5: the characters that was in it actually experienced something that
- 36:25Speaker 5: was similar to what their character was experiencing it piece,
- 36:29Speaker 5: and so it was very emotional that because let it
- 36:33Speaker 5: check it out on YouTube, but it was emotional.
- 36:37Speaker 2: And that's my first time.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Meeting Angela, just getting to know her and what I've
- 36:43Speaker 5: noticed from that point that was in between twenty two
- 36:48Speaker 5: from that point to now, just seeing how wonderful she is,
- 36:52Speaker 5: how wise she means. And when I was on those
- 36:56Speaker 5: first lines adoring her with jewels, only the serious times
- 37:00Speaker 5: will comes to find that cleans just find him those
- 37:04Speaker 5: who delicate delicacy, that de fined by the sparkle and shine,
- 37:08Speaker 5: capturing to find time. At the time, all of that
- 37:13Speaker 5: reminded her because she never gives stuff.
- 37:15Speaker 2: She never stopped. I was like, she doesn't know what
- 37:18Speaker 2: the meaning of knowing and if there's something that she
- 37:23Speaker 2: doesn't know, she doesn't stop because she finds out. And
- 37:27Speaker 2: that's what that.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Inflatables some turns come from. It's like there's nothing that
- 37:32Speaker 5: she can't do. If you can't accomplish and she can't sell,
- 37:36Speaker 5: someone else will come. So I just thank her and
- 37:40Speaker 5: I'm so honored to be a part of the celebration
- 37:43Speaker 5: of the Crowning Goods was because it's just just getting
- 37:48Speaker 5: full a week. Yeah, yeah, that's an awesome story.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Wow. Wow, thank you for sharing it with me.
- 37:58Speaker 4: Wow that that that that's amazing. And to think that me,
- 38:06Speaker 4: little old country girls that stuttered would even be doing
- 38:11Speaker 4: a monologue yet alone celebrating y'all. Five years we've been
- 38:16Speaker 4: on this network. Five years. I've been over here. Five years.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I'm like who. At first, I'm like, who want to
- 38:24Speaker 4: listen to something? I gotta I gotta say. But five
- 38:28Speaker 4: years I've been right here, and I'm grateful for people
- 38:34Speaker 4: like Melanie. People. It's people like you, Melanie, people like Marcene,
- 38:40Speaker 4: people like all of those individuals that decided to share
- 38:45Speaker 4: in this book, those twenty individuals that decided to share
- 38:48Speaker 4: in those books. Because it's you guys that helped mold
- 38:52Speaker 4: me into who I am. I couldn't do none of
- 38:56Speaker 4: this without you guys, and the one that created me
- 39:01Speaker 4: because he allowed me to use those gifts and those talents.
- 39:07Speaker 4: So I'm grateful for everybody that come in my past
- 39:10Speaker 4: because we all play a role. We all play a part,
- 39:14Speaker 4: and it's us knowing exactly what it is that we're
- 39:18Speaker 4: supposed to be doing, and that thing that we're supposed
- 39:20Speaker 4: to be it's called purpose. Yeah, it's called purpose, and
- 39:30Speaker 4: you guys are definitely doing that. And I'm grateful. I
- 39:35Speaker 4: want to know who all is in Q because you know,
- 39:39Speaker 4: we can be here all night. Y'all know I can
- 39:41Speaker 4: be here all night just going on and on and
- 39:43Speaker 4: on and just just telling you guys how grateful, because
- 39:47Speaker 4: y'all know my birthday is always a time where I
- 39:50Speaker 4: love to give back. This weekend is gonna be nothing
- 39:53Speaker 4: shy of that Saturday. We're kicking out for the Prayer
- 39:58Speaker 4: Breakfast from eight to ten that morning, and then we're
- 40:01Speaker 4: going into our author segment where we're gonna from eleven
- 40:05Speaker 4: to two we're gonna be sharing authors and brands and
- 40:09Speaker 4: we're gonna be uplifting each other networking. Is it's gonna
- 40:13Speaker 4: be a day party, you might as well say, because
- 40:15Speaker 4: that's what it's gonna turn into. We got a DJ,
- 40:18Speaker 4: we got a photo booth. It's just going to be
- 40:21Speaker 4: an amazing time. It's just gonna be an amazing time
- 40:25Speaker 4: of us just sharing. So yes, I'm excited. You know,
- 40:33Speaker 4: this is a season where you know, one hundred out
- 40:35Speaker 4: the movement, you know, all those that are part of
- 40:39Speaker 4: the one hundred out the movement that's attached to this
- 40:41Speaker 4: this this book. You know, we all have the opportunity
- 40:45Speaker 4: to really shine and to allow our brands to come
- 40:49Speaker 4: forward and to really support each other. So I think
- 40:55Speaker 4: we missed sister Keisha. I think we did. We missed
- 41:03Speaker 4: sister Keisha.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Here. I hear you.
- 41:07Speaker 4: I hear you. I hear you, I hear you, And
- 41:10Speaker 4: we skipped you. We missed you. We wanted to let
- 41:13Speaker 4: you know that we didn't forget you.
- 41:20Speaker 2: So how are you? Yes, I'm doing well. How God's
- 41:25Speaker 2: doing anybody sounds wonderful?
- 41:28Speaker 4: Yeah, welcome, if you would, if you would, We we
- 41:34Speaker 4: gave everybody an opportunity to tell a little bit about
- 41:37Speaker 4: themselves and to share a peace. Now, you know, I
- 41:40Speaker 4: don't know how I forgot about you, because I know
- 41:43Speaker 4: you gonna bring it. And then you was you and Melanie,
- 41:46Speaker 4: You and Melanie like Martine, Martine, We're gonna talk about
- 41:50Speaker 4: this contest real quick. We're gonna talk about this contest.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Martine came out of nowhere. Martine came out of nowhere,
- 41:57Speaker 4: did shakesha She came out of nowhere and where she
- 42:01Speaker 4: come from. It it was you and Melanie. It was
- 42:04Speaker 4: like I was looking, I was like, look at them,
- 42:06Speaker 4: I said, look at Melanie and Keisha and then out
- 42:09Speaker 4: of nowhere Hickon Marsine. But I'm telling you was giving her.
- 42:14Speaker 4: You was giving her. You were definitely giving her run.
- 42:20Speaker 4: You was giving her a run for her money. And
- 42:22Speaker 4: I truly appreciate that.
- 42:24Speaker 2: But I know you.
- 42:24Speaker 4: You are like you're like Rowanda. You guys started doing
- 42:31Speaker 4: the same thing, you know, doing poetry for people for
- 42:35Speaker 4: birthdays and special occasion and just things like that, and
- 42:40Speaker 4: never thought it would turn into what it turned into.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Like I'm looking back, like I'm like, I never nobody
- 42:49Speaker 4: never asked me to do no poem. But I'm like, okay, yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 4: but I'm like twenty twenty taught me a whole lot
- 42:58Speaker 4: because it gave me an opportunity to really learn how
- 43:01Speaker 4: to write poetry and to express through words, because you know,
- 43:05Speaker 4: that's how God was dealing with me with the words.
- 43:07Speaker 4: But go ahead and introduce yourself and then share a peace,
- 43:10Speaker 4: because I know you've got to drop something on us.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Well, yes, I called myself the poetrait. I just love
- 43:19Speaker 2: to write, and mostly I might have fout love all
- 43:22Speaker 2: types of love of God. They loved praditional love, innocent love,
- 43:26Speaker 2: and that's what startist that I can remember. The funny
- 43:29Speaker 2: thing is on my birthday a couple of years ago,
- 43:33Speaker 2: my dad sent me a birthday gear, which was my
- 43:36Speaker 2: third grade book. Send me and some third graders when
- 43:40Speaker 2: I was in third grade wrote a book and that
- 43:42Speaker 2: was my first poem that I wrote. And he said
- 43:46Speaker 2: that because then I don't even remember doing that, but
- 43:48Speaker 2: I was like, Lord, Jesus, I've been writing, say then.
- 43:52Speaker 2: So I just love to write. I love to make
- 43:54Speaker 2: people feel what I'm trying to say through spoken words.
- 43:59Speaker 2: So this piece I have for you today it is
- 44:02Speaker 2: called running, and it simply says I'm running the rate
- 44:09Speaker 2: of my life, moving any in everything that isn't christ Like.
- 44:16Speaker 2: There's a goal I'm trying to reach. See, I don't
- 44:20Speaker 2: need no sin hanging around like a leech. My soul
- 44:24Speaker 2: is friting each and every day for God. I know
- 44:28Speaker 2: He's the better way. I'm searching and working full of
- 44:32Speaker 2: that eternal spot, a place only my heavenly Father's got.
- 44:37Speaker 8: What people fail to realize is that we're living.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Too at his times. You do what you're doing, what
- 44:44Speaker 2: I'm wanting from mine. Don't be a fool and give
- 44:47Speaker 2: their gouts. Minny. Hell here on earth is enough to
- 44:50Speaker 2: take a different route. When I'm home grief and have
- 44:53Speaker 2: a need for thirst, I have no love for drinks
- 44:57Speaker 2: too quench by putting God's launch first, He's in my
- 45:01Speaker 2: heart promising to never parts knowing this is all I
- 45:05Speaker 2: want to pretend. Why because my life is in themands.
- 45:11Speaker 2: They're a person in winner for it must be rebuilt.
- 45:16Speaker 2: So needs to because hearts need to be healed them
- 45:20Speaker 2: a way, we're down to learning to pretend your word
- 45:23Speaker 2: usually more even to the spoken words. Any means I've
- 45:29Speaker 2: got this mesic student, I'm running the rest of my
- 45:34Speaker 2: life out here, tilS here, and you should be tone
- 45:39Speaker 2: And that's.
- 45:42Speaker 5: All right.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Wow, Now, I told y'all, see, I told see when
- 45:47Speaker 4: I told them to bring it, I told y'all they
- 45:50Speaker 4: was gonna bring it. I wouldn't expect that, nothing less
- 45:53Speaker 4: than that. But y'all, guess what My big brother, doctor, oh,
- 45:57Speaker 4: my producer is in the building tonight, and y'all he's
- 46:01Speaker 4: gonna be the only male in the building tonight. That's
- 46:04Speaker 4: gonna grace the stage. So we're gonna bring him own
- 46:07Speaker 4: right now, doctor in goes it in the building. Come on,
- 46:12Speaker 4: got that piece well?
- 46:14Speaker 2: First of all, First of all, happy in the anniversary
- 46:17Speaker 2: to you know, wonder more outstanding and sometimes smith. More
- 46:22Speaker 2: can we say about her? You know, it has an
- 46:24Speaker 2: articument that our started reading commissionered this network from two
- 46:27Speaker 2: thousand and twenty to twenty twenty one. She did a
- 46:31Speaker 2: great job during the time of have on right you
- 46:35Speaker 2: know what I mean? Are you know our pandemic and
- 46:38Speaker 2: I'll have to get those those times which she held
- 46:41Speaker 2: it down as a rookie, okay, at the first year
- 46:44Speaker 2: host to be a commissioner. So we're very proud of
- 46:48Speaker 2: her stepping in and stepping out and doing a great job.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Now it's a dedicated to our women. You know said
- 46:56Speaker 2: I'm the man on here. Here we go by power.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Females are little less than flowers in the flower after
- 47:05Speaker 2: the first rain shower. It has frushing and waiting to open,
- 47:09Speaker 2: the petals so attractive and ready to shine. In childhood,
- 47:13Speaker 2: the girl may look black that attractive, but clumsy and dark,
- 47:17Speaker 2: and no one may look at her even aboard to
- 47:20Speaker 2: call she's something insult but like the people after all,
- 47:25Speaker 2: So what are the people generally to in the towerance
- 47:28Speaker 2: or out of beauty? I think Anson will not be ready, right,
- 47:33Speaker 2: but we know in the white face with the flower
- 47:36Speaker 2: of beauty, the girl has the first priority in settling.
- 47:41Speaker 2: She not meant me smiling at strangers, but it would
- 47:44Speaker 2: call maybe for her company to join permanently in the journey. Now,
- 47:50Speaker 2: real drama start. The girl with the black collar is
- 47:54Speaker 2: really having art, the natural art with beautiful appearance, the
- 47:58Speaker 2: natural features, and her consilience and her personality and more,
- 48:04Speaker 2: more and more. That doc.
- 48:12Speaker 3: All right, all right, all right, now, all right there,
- 48:18Speaker 3: all right, all right, Ava in the building, got ava
- 48:22Speaker 3: on the line.
- 48:24Speaker 4: Let me see who'll say they on the line. We
- 48:26Speaker 4: got okay, so we got some other poets out of
- 48:32Speaker 4: Crown and Glory, y'all. That was my producer. That was brother.
- 48:36Speaker 4: It goes a doctor brother in Goales and y'all. He

- 49:03Speaker 4: going on over there. So, hey, who we still got on?

- 49:32Speaker 4: just trying tonight.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Yes, my god, I'm amazing.
- 49:37Speaker 5: I wanted them said about writing poetry since she was little.
- 49:41Speaker 5: That's when I started in elementary school.
- 49:43Speaker 2: And I remember I ran across the stupid little anthology
- 49:47Speaker 2: and poetry from like a couple of months ago. I
- 49:51Speaker 2: don't even know what I did with this, but it
- 49:52Speaker 2: still happened. But that led to so many other things.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I'm an author and a poet and all that stuff.
- 50:00Speaker 2: You go so thrilled about your show and your honored guests.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Do I have time to read a short home or not? Ye? Oh?
- 50:09Speaker 2: Cool men can be like for anybody that's even having
- 50:14Speaker 2: a relationship with themselves. But I actually wrote it for
- 50:18Speaker 2: my one of my best friend's daughters who was getting married,
- 50:21Speaker 2: and I found a mirror on marketplace and bought it
- 50:25Speaker 2: and the flowers around.
- 50:26Speaker 5: The edges were hand painted. So I wrote this poem
- 50:29Speaker 5: for her for her wedding. And it's called the Reflection
- 50:32Speaker 5: of You, and it goes as you teek into an
- 50:36Speaker 5: adventure together, passed by the mirror, sharing a cup of
- 50:40Speaker 5: coffee or tea, look into it, only see the reflection
- 50:45Speaker 5: of you. You will pass by this mirror many times,
- 50:48Speaker 5: sometimes for moons, sometimes together, use it to reflect on
- 50:52Speaker 5: the positive and what the future holds. The flowers on
- 50:56Speaker 5: the mirror were hand painted.
- 50:58Speaker 2: By a total stranger to me. Yet I saw the
- 51:01Speaker 2: love and then then and I see the love in you. Now.
- 51:05Speaker 11: Enjoy your life together. When things get hard, remember what
- 51:10Speaker 11: you feel in the reflection of you. When things are easy,
- 51:15Speaker 11: remember what you feel and the reflection come to you.
- 51:18Speaker 11: You each stare back to each other. You stare back
- 51:21Speaker 11: at you, see the goods, see the love, and always
- 51:26Speaker 11: remember the reflection of you.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Oh wow, like that?
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I like that too, I like that.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Well, I want to congratulate you. I'm so proud of you.
- 51:38Speaker 2: I know you and I have grown in friendship and
- 51:40Speaker 2: I never met face to face, but we talk some
- 51:43Speaker 2: time to time and do things together. And I'm really
- 51:45Speaker 2: so proud of you and you've accomplished. And a shout
- 51:49Speaker 2: out to brother, like you said what you saw and
- 51:52Speaker 2: you take you to the next step, and then that
- 51:55Speaker 2: takes you to the next step of the next step
- 51:56Speaker 2: of the next step. So congratulations. Shout out to your

- 57:09Speaker 4: more details about your writings.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Okay, what details about my writing? Okay?
- 57:19Speaker 5: I write from my heart. I write from pain, I
- 57:24Speaker 5: write from joy. I write about the feelings that I
- 57:29Speaker 5: have when you know, when when something out of the
- 57:33Speaker 5: ordinary happens to me, uh, and I can't express it
- 57:38Speaker 5: some words. I grab my pins and my parents has
- 57:43Speaker 5: a way of writing down everything that I would like
- 57:48Speaker 5: to say, but can't you know, to say face you know.
- 57:54Speaker 5: So I write out of those raw.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Emotions, whether they be good emotions or bad emotions.
- 58:03Speaker 5: I find uh uh consoles in in those words that
- 58:09Speaker 5: that that can I can express them without having to
- 58:13Speaker 5: go off on a person, you know, without having to
- 58:17Speaker 5: to be angry, you know whatever. You know, I can't
- 58:23Speaker 5: express those emotions and the things that I write and
- 58:27Speaker 5: they come out.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Beautiful, you know, as as far as I know. You know,
- 58:31Speaker 2: everybody likes my poetry, They like my my poems, you know,
- 58:35Speaker 2: different things like that.
- 58:36Speaker 5: So so I do that to give my own self,
- 58:40Speaker 5: uh some relief, you know, whether it be if a
- 58:43Speaker 5: person dies or whatever.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I express myself through my writing.
- 58:50Speaker 4: Yes, and she definitely does that. When given the task,
- 58:55Speaker 4: she do deliver. She was given the task to write
- 58:59Speaker 4: a pem for cancer and that poem was so touching.
- 59:06Speaker 4: So she definitely writes from the heart and it is amazing.
- 59:14Speaker 4: So Colder, do do you have a piece? Are you
- 59:17Speaker 4: a poet? What is your You just a lover of poetry?
- 59:22Speaker 4: Are you a poet?
- 59:26Speaker 2: If you're speaking to.
- 59:28Speaker 4: Me, I'm a lover of poetry, okay, Yes, I was
- 59:32Speaker 4: speaking to you.
- 59:33Speaker 2: I have a word because I was a former journalist
- 59:36Speaker 2: and I got my degree in journalism speech, okay, and
- 59:40Speaker 2: I think that brings me closer to the written word.
- 59:46Speaker 2: And so I just have a love of, uh the
- 59:52Speaker 2: sympmetry of words that do in the poetry, that expressed
- 59:56Speaker 2: in ourselves. And so that's that's where I I wish
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: and you know, things like that. But uh, those that
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: are getting poetry, I admire.

- 1:02:30Speaker 4: come extra prepared? Did anybody bring an extra piece on tonight?
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: Or anybody want to go off the whim and share
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: something that just may be in their spirit.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: You know, I.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Who say they got extras. Come on, Marceine, come on

- 1:02:55Speaker 4: you always better keep some back up.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, let me think what I want to
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: leave this one. I actually put in the book it
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: for your birthday. So we had similar experiences in different ways.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: And I don't know if you picked it up on
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: that point on me. So this is what is called.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: I mean, I almost loved my life that day. Faces
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: and memory of the people I love flash before my eyes.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: At that moment, time seemed to free. I realized it
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: was time for me.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: I didn't have time to say goodbye, And then unseen.
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: A felt a steady hands listening back to solid land.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: That's grace saved me. I heard him softly in my ear,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: with strain. You are still here. There's more to here,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: a second chance that.
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: Pure my life, sperience yet renewed. My past is directed great.
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: I learned its mercy given undecerns, a gift that he'll
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: But most importantly I learned great is the hard to
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: letting go a final peace.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: When I didn't know, I almost loved my life. I
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: asked what I mean because.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: Grace look at if I needed most to understand person underserved,
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: it had to be.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Wow, that's the point. And I don't know if you
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: look at that.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Because you remember our accomplishmation than I experienced ever heard. Yes, yes,
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: knew and say so by life in different ways at
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: different times.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Yes, Yes, Like this book. It's like really, like I'm
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: telling you, like, people really don't understand how words and
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: topics and just having a theme can really bring out
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: those similarities that you have with someone else. Because believe
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: it or not, there's gonna be some other people here
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: too that read this poem, mar Seen that's gonna be
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: able to relate to this poem. So it's some more, Yes,
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: it's some more people within our circle that's gonna be
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: able to relate to this, just as it related to
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: you and I. Someone else is gonna be able to
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: connect with us through this, you know. And that's the
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: power of poetry, that's the power of words, that's the
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: power of you know, collaborating that that's just the power
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: coming together and us just pulling on each other. You know, y'all,
