- 0:00Speaker 1: Ready to get back into relationship talk Thursday with the
- 0:03Speaker 1: power couple of the Glenn's pastors, Jamon and Erica Glenn.
- 0:06Speaker 2: How many books have you guys written, because.
- 0:09Speaker 3: A lot?
- 0:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the books all on four on relationships, right Yeah, okay, cool,
- 0:16Speaker 1: cool cool.
- 0:17Speaker 2: So you got.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Cass marriage Monday on all podcast platforms. Okay, where we
- 0:23Speaker 4: spent when it's fifty something episodes where we.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Talk all time.
- 0:27Speaker 3: It's very, very transparent.
- 0:30Speaker 2: So this is not new to them. As I just
- 0:33Speaker 2: didn't pulled somebody to be on the radio. This is
- 0:35Speaker 2: you know, they're qualified. They have been a sign for
- 0:38Speaker 2: such a time as this. All right, so we want.
- 0:40Speaker 1: To talk about a deep topic.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I much needed topic.
- 0:44Speaker 1: As we were talking off air and you says this
- 0:45Speaker 1: is happening a lot. Can a relationship survive after betrayal?
- 0:53Speaker 5: Yeah, we believe that it can survive after betrayal, after infidelity.
- 0:59Speaker 5: It's just has to be very It has to be strategic.
- 1:02Speaker 5: It can't be something that is just kind of you know,
- 1:06Speaker 5: we're gonna deal with it when we when we can.
- 1:08Speaker 2: It has to have a strategy.
- 1:10Speaker 5: It has to be consistent, it has to have I
- 1:13Speaker 5: won't say questioning, but questions because we have to ask
- 1:18Speaker 5: ourselves how did we get here? And people have to
- 1:23Speaker 5: make a decision. They have to make a decision that
- 1:25Speaker 5: they want their marriage, that they want their spouse, and
- 1:29Speaker 5: behind that decision comes some intentionality that happens.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Yeah, and not only infidelity, even though we kept running
- 1:37Speaker 4: into that one, a big one, But betrayal is man
- 1:40Speaker 4: betrail happens before infidelity, right, So people think that infidelity
- 1:46Speaker 4: is where that's actually like the that's not the source,
- 1:50Speaker 4: that's the symptom, symptom, you know, that's the that's an
- 1:53Speaker 4: action or an attribute. But there's a lot of people
- 1:56Speaker 4: that haven't had infidelity that still feel like they've been betrayed,
- 2:00Speaker 4: betrayed from honesty, vulnerability, trust, security protection, information, hiding, manipulation,
- 2:07Speaker 4: lack of sex, lack of meeting my needs, lack of
- 2:11Speaker 4: being honest, being being truthful, being transparent, coming coming forth
- 2:17Speaker 4: with being forthright, you know, with information. So we always
- 2:22Speaker 4: go right to infidelity to think that that's the ultimate betrayal,
- 2:26Speaker 4: and for some people in may, but for other people,
- 2:29Speaker 4: there's other betrayals that's happening that people don't think are
- 2:32Speaker 4: as big.
- 2:32Speaker 3: That's really eating.
- 2:33Speaker 4: At the fabric of your relationship and deteriorating the relationship
- 2:37Speaker 4: on the inside out.
- 2:38Speaker 3: And by the time infidelity has taken place long ago.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You had an emotional affair long before you had an
- 2:47Speaker 4: actual affair. You had a relationship with somebody that you
- 2:50Speaker 4: trusted and told your truth more than you told your spouse.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Somebody else was got got the good news first because
- 2:58Speaker 4: you know, they responded to you in a certain way
- 3:01Speaker 4: and you just were drained, so you were an autopilot
- 3:03Speaker 4: in your own relationship. Because it betrayal happens and it's
- 3:07Speaker 4: never communicated and never fought to restore. Then people think
- 3:10Speaker 4: the ultimate betrayal is in fidelity. I'm not gonna rank
- 3:14Speaker 4: it because that's based on every relationship, but I will
- 3:17Speaker 4: say that there's many betrayals that people don't discuss that
- 3:21Speaker 4: are bigger than the one everybody's focused because the question
- 3:25Speaker 4: is if we got there, how did we get that?
- 3:28Speaker 3: I'm sure those baby steps that exactly exactly.
- 3:31Speaker 4: You know, the scripture says not to be preachy, but
- 3:33Speaker 4: this is a gospel radio show. Proverse twenty eight and
- 3:37Speaker 4: thirteen says that whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
- 3:42Speaker 4: and whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the
- 3:45Speaker 4: one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. And so
- 3:50Speaker 4: in our relationship we talk about we don't have secrets
- 3:53Speaker 4: like we transparently, honestly from history to now, we don't
- 3:57Speaker 4: have any secrets among each other. But that because we
- 4:00Speaker 4: can be trusted with each other without feeling insecure, without feeling.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Like being brought up in a moment of vulnerability right
- 4:08Speaker 5: or in an argument and I'm about to bring this
- 4:10Speaker 5: back up that you shared with me. And when your
- 4:13Speaker 5: spouse doesn't feel secure, then they're not going to reveal
- 4:18Speaker 5: or tell you everything they're truth because most of the time,
- 4:21Speaker 5: what I tell women is that you know sometime if
- 4:24Speaker 5: a man is being if he's trying to be transparent
- 4:26Speaker 5: with you and he's trying to talk to you, he's
- 4:28Speaker 5: only going to tell you twenty percent of what exactly happens,
- 4:32Speaker 5: just to see what your reaction is going to be.
- 4:35Speaker 5: And if you start blowing up after the little bit
- 4:37Speaker 5: that he showed that he just revealed to you, he's
- 4:39Speaker 5: not going to tell and tell you anything else. So
- 4:41Speaker 5: you really, if he tells you something, just know since
- 4:44Speaker 5: it's only twenty percent he didn't even give you the
- 4:46Speaker 5: rest of it, because he's like, she can't even handle that,
- 4:49Speaker 5: and to me as an individual, not because I live here,
- 4:53Speaker 5: not because my husband does that. But I don't know
- 4:56Speaker 5: if I could even exist in a relationship where I
- 5:00Speaker 5: could not be transparent or trust the place that is
- 5:05Speaker 5: supposed to be my safe space.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I can't.
- 5:08Speaker 5: I can't. I can't tell you what I'm feeling without
- 5:11Speaker 5: you getting in your emotions, feeling a certain kind like
- 5:14Speaker 5: this is my feeling, this is about you, this is
- 5:18Speaker 5: not about you. And it's like that's a dangerous space
- 5:21Speaker 5: to be married and not be able to tell your
- 5:25Speaker 5: spouse everything. And I don't know, I think right, I
- 5:29Speaker 5: think when I got before I met my husband and
- 5:31Speaker 5: I knew I wanted to be married, I was like,
- 5:34Speaker 5: I need him to be able to tell me the
- 5:36Speaker 5: most uncomfortable things in the world, because I don't ever
- 5:40Speaker 5: want him to come out of this relationship looking to
- 5:44Speaker 5: find a space where he can be accepted.
- 5:46Speaker 4: But I think that's the speed of our relationship because
- 5:49Speaker 4: in intention, in the beginning, we were friends.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and some because we were.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Friends, I found myself confiding in you in a way
- 5:57Speaker 4: that I hadn't confided in anyone else. Speed or trust
- 6:00Speaker 4: was immediate. You was grown, You was be sure, you
- 6:03Speaker 4: were safe space. You didn't flinch. You understood that what
- 6:07Speaker 4: I was telling you, you could handle it, and even
- 6:10Speaker 4: and maybe you could handle it because it's like this,
- 6:12Speaker 4: this ain't my man. So maybe that's where it was
- 6:14Speaker 4: at the beginning, but it carried on in our relationship,
- 6:19Speaker 4: and I appreciate that friendship and that ability to be
- 6:21Speaker 4: to be transparent.
- 6:22Speaker 2: You guys are really passionate about it.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I hear the passion even when you communicated with each other,
- 6:26Speaker 1: there's a passion about talking about relationship.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah, this is really good, and you guys are passionate.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So I love that we're gonna come back and talk
- 6:32Speaker 1: about forgiveness versus reconciliation healing.
- 6:36Speaker 2: It actually takes time. It really does take time.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You know when a relationship has when there's betrayal and
- 6:43Speaker 1: infidelity in your relationship. We'll be back Relationship Talk Thursday.
- 6:46Speaker 1: We do welcome your questions and comments, so hit us
- 6:48Speaker 1: up right now. Inspiration thirteen ninety Family, It is Relationship Thursday.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I love the power the passion that's coming through today
- 7:03Speaker 1: from pastors Damon and Erica Glenn of New Life, And
- 7:08Speaker 1: I know you guys have really I'm quite sure you've
- 7:10Speaker 1: coached a lot of couples through betrayal and infidelity, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: so you can really speak to us about somebody listening
- 7:18Speaker 1: today maybe going through this and they're trying to figure
- 7:20Speaker 1: this thing out. Forgiveness versus reconciliation, what do you start
- 7:25Speaker 1: with this?
- 7:25Speaker 4: I mean, forgiveness is not an option, especially if you're
- 7:28Speaker 4: a believer, and even if you're not a believer. People
- 7:30Speaker 4: that are non believers, people that are non believers still
- 7:35Speaker 4: find a clean slate in forgiveness, Like who wants to
- 7:38Speaker 4: carry that? Who wants to be trapped in a prison
- 7:41Speaker 4: and realize you're the prisoner because of unforgiveness. So forgiveness
- 7:45Speaker 4: isn't really the option. Reconciliation that's what comes with the process.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I get it right.
- 7:50Speaker 4: So just because I can forgive you any relationship doesn't
- 7:54Speaker 4: mean I need to put you back in the same
- 7:56Speaker 4: space without pros that your behavior has change or your
- 8:00Speaker 4: belief system has changed. Not that I'm like testing you
- 8:04Speaker 4: or making you jump through hoops, but I do want
- 8:07Speaker 4: to be in a poster or position where I give
- 8:11Speaker 4: clear expectations and try to work towards a resolution that
- 8:16Speaker 4: proves that your behavior has changed, because no matter what
- 8:19Speaker 4: I tell myself, if I don't see a proof and
- 8:22Speaker 4: belief and proof and behavior of change, I'm not really
- 8:25Speaker 4: gonna let my shoulders down to relax in the context
- 8:28Speaker 4: of this relationship because I see the same patterns and
- 8:30Speaker 4: the same stuff. But I have to make sure I'm
- 8:32Speaker 4: not blaming you if I'm trapped in the old belief
- 8:36Speaker 4: system that thinks that you haven't changed or you won't change.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I gotta give you real parameters so I can give
- 8:42Speaker 4: you opportunity to prove that change in belief and behavior.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And I keep saying both because you can't behave beyond
- 8:49Speaker 4: your belief. The belief and behavior has actually changed as
- 8:53Speaker 4: we move towards reconciliation. But forgiveness, I four give you.
- 8:59Speaker 4: It's already done. I don't have to. I don't have
- 9:01Speaker 4: time to.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Know with that.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I gotta let that go.
- 9:03Speaker 4: People don't get through the first stage of forgiveness, let
- 9:06Speaker 4: alone reconcilia.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think that people, especially women.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I think for the most part, you know have this
- 9:15Speaker 5: place that you forgive. You know what they say, I'm
- 9:18Speaker 5: gonna forgive but I ain't gonna forget, you know what
- 9:20Speaker 5: I'm saying, I'm gonna forget what I'm gonna forget. And
- 9:23Speaker 5: there is a little true to that, you know. But
- 9:26Speaker 5: you know, forgiveness I found, you know, forgiveness with intelligence,
- 9:30Speaker 5: which which means that you know, I forgive you, but
- 9:33Speaker 5: I got to I might need to dumby down on
- 9:36Speaker 5: or or or kind of settle down on what I'm forgiving,
- 9:41Speaker 5: like what happened, what went on? And I think for
- 9:44Speaker 5: some people, I know that you are supposed to instantly forgive,
- 9:47Speaker 5: but I think when they have that difficulty or they
- 9:50Speaker 5: hidden up against that wall that they can't forgive, I
- 9:53Speaker 5: think it's because there are some other questions that they
- 9:55Speaker 5: might want to ask that they didn't ask. And so
- 9:58Speaker 5: it's right. And so it's like, you know, you get
- 10:00Speaker 5: at that place of forgiveness, something up and then on
- 10:05Speaker 5: top of that, exactly it's the trigger. It's the trigger
- 10:08Speaker 5: maybe from an old relationship or this is the same
- 10:10Speaker 5: thing that keeps happening to me versus you know. Yes,
- 10:14Speaker 5: but if you forgive this person and you're in this relationship,
- 10:17Speaker 5: it can go somewhere differently than than the other one.
- 10:21Speaker 5: But if you don't give that first initial forgiveness. With
- 10:24Speaker 5: intelligence being grown, being being sober minded and not being
- 10:29Speaker 5: emotional about it, you could you could get past the betrayal.
- 10:34Speaker 5: You can get past the infidelity. But you have to
- 10:36Speaker 5: be intelligent about this forgiveness giving exactly what am I
- 10:41Speaker 5: forgiving you for? And what are you deciding to not
- 10:44Speaker 5: do again? Because forgiveness well, repentance. I'm sorry, that's repentance.
- 10:48Speaker 5: I'm sorry to take that off the table. That ain't
- 10:50Speaker 5: This is Jesus, that's Jesus exactly.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It's on me.
- 10:56Speaker 4: And I think people don't forgive because the other persons
- 11:00Speaker 4: other than repent it. Yep, there's a difference. So you
- 11:05Speaker 4: want me to forgive you, that's big of me, and
- 11:07Speaker 4: I can do that. But have you which means there's
- 11:11Speaker 4: a change in your belief and a change in your behavior.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Repentance is not forgiveness. Forgiveness does come from me, and
- 11:19Speaker 4: I can forgive you, But have you repented? Have you
- 11:23Speaker 4: decided to change your belief and your behavior, and then
- 11:28Speaker 4: we can have a reconciliation.
- 11:30Speaker 5: That's it's It's about what is your belief system?
- 11:36Speaker 4: Because because if I chase down, that's a great question,
- 11:39Speaker 4: because if I chase down your behavior without asking why
- 11:42Speaker 4: did you do it in the first place? What do
- 11:44Speaker 4: you believe about that? What made that okay? What made
- 11:47Speaker 4: that okay for you to hide money? What made that
- 11:49Speaker 4: okay for you to have a stash on the side?
- 11:52Speaker 4: Where'd you get that from? Right? Because you because are
- 11:55Speaker 4: you sorry because you got caught? Why are you sorry
- 11:57Speaker 4: because you realize it was wrong? Who taught you that behavior?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Like?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Where did adam? Where are you? You know?
- 12:03Speaker 4: Who told you to hide yourself? Like I can see you?
- 12:06Speaker 4: Who told you to do it? Where did that idea
- 12:08Speaker 4: come from?
- 12:08Speaker 3: Who thought?
- 12:09Speaker 4: Who told you to have a work wife? Who thought
- 12:10Speaker 4: that you should have a work husband? Like why did
- 12:13Speaker 4: y'all get so cool that y'all was hanging out after
- 12:15Speaker 4: work and you was telling me you were still at work,
- 12:17Speaker 4: but y'all was really at dinner.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It's a whole card.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Who put her in your who said you should ride
- 12:22Speaker 3: with her? In your current? Who told you that that
- 12:24Speaker 3: was a good idea?
- 12:25Speaker 4: So you can I can forgive you for doing it,
- 12:27Speaker 4: but I really want to know why was you comfortable
- 12:30Speaker 4: enough to get How did you get there? Because if
- 12:33Speaker 4: you don't tell me what your belief system is around
- 12:37Speaker 4: the behavior you're gonna behave there again. So you're so
- 12:40Speaker 4: caught up in asking me to forgive you. I can
- 12:43Speaker 4: do that, but have you repented, because if you haven't
- 12:47Speaker 4: decided to change, repent, turn, turn from your WICKI ways,
- 12:52Speaker 4: you know what I'm saying, Uh, search your heart. If
- 12:55Speaker 4: you haven't decided to do that, we're gonna be here again.
- 12:58Speaker 4: It may be a different face in a different name,
- 13:00Speaker 4: but it'll be the same situation and we can't reconcile
- 13:04Speaker 4: unless you repent. But I can forgive you and I
- 13:08Speaker 4: can move on and go on.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Okay, well that's a good question, because we got a
- 13:11Speaker 1: question should you stay or walk away after infidelity?
- 13:14Speaker 2: How do you know the diction? We'll come back.
- 13:16Speaker 4: Oh she was like, well, we're gonna come back and
- 13:22Speaker 4: answer those questions on Relationship Talk Thursday.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It's raising thirteen ninety family. It's Relationship Talk Thursday.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The power couple is annoying to do what they're doing
- 13:39Speaker 1: today and all the time, this is what they do
- 13:41Speaker 1: pretty much all the time. Is a coach coach not counsel,
- 13:46Speaker 1: but they coach it gos and you know, whether married
- 13:49Speaker 1: or dating, and today is a great, great topic. I'm
- 13:52Speaker 1: learning a lot even as I'm listening about betrayal in
- 13:56Speaker 1: a relationship. How forgiveness is just not enough. Repentance definitely
- 14:00Speaker 1: has to come into play. And maybe that ties into
- 14:02Speaker 1: this question should you stay or walk away after infidelity?
- 14:07Speaker 1: How do you know the difference?
- 14:10Speaker 5: So, I mean, we already stated and agreed that your
- 14:15Speaker 5: marriage or your relationship can survive after infidelity, but I
- 14:20Speaker 5: think we don't talk enough about when people should walk away.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I know it.
- 14:27Speaker 5: It breaks your heart, and we always tell people, you know,
- 14:30Speaker 5: do everything that you can, like everything that you can
- 14:36Speaker 5: to salvage your marriage, and it may take some time.
- 14:40Speaker 5: But I think that these are some reasons or maybe
- 14:43Speaker 5: some things that will help to well that kind of
- 14:46Speaker 5: help you decide if you should walk away. The first one,
- 14:49Speaker 5: if the partner doesn't apologize, they don't acknowledge their behavior,
- 14:52Speaker 5: they don't want to change, there's no repentance. Another one
- 14:56Speaker 5: is your partner won't agree to any kind of counseling,
- 14:59Speaker 5: not a life anybody's other, anybody who is wise and
- 15:03Speaker 5: smart to come in and to help and guide, because
- 15:06Speaker 5: you've gone this far together and that hasn't worked. And
- 15:10Speaker 5: so you need to bring someone with more wisdom and
- 15:13Speaker 5: guidance to help you. Another one is your partner doesn't
- 15:17Speaker 5: show a desire to put in the work for the relationship,
- 15:21Speaker 5: because one person cannot be in a marriage working and
- 15:24Speaker 5: the other person not work. Also, both of you have
- 15:27Speaker 5: to work together. The next one is your partner still
- 15:30Speaker 5: in contact with the other person. This is dealing with infidelity.
- 15:35Speaker 5: But if they're still there's no change. They're still talking
- 15:37Speaker 5: to them, they're still d ning them all of the
- 15:40Speaker 5: stuff that they were doing. And the last one is
- 15:42Speaker 5: your partner doesn't seem to commit to your relationship. If
- 15:46Speaker 5: they don't want the relationship. I don't care how much
- 15:49Speaker 5: you want it. If they don't want it. You can't
- 15:52Speaker 5: make anybody want you or their relationship. You can't make them.
- 15:58Speaker 5: You just can't. It's heartbreaking, But that person has to
- 16:01Speaker 5: make a decision. Like we said earlier, you know, I
- 16:03Speaker 5: think a couple of segments ago we talked about that
- 16:06Speaker 5: love is a decision and that you have to make
- 16:08Speaker 5: that decision. You have to make the decision to be
- 16:11Speaker 5: in your relationship and to love your partner.
- 16:13Speaker 4: That th ain't hurt, babe, But you're right. I can't
- 16:17Speaker 4: even disagree. You know, I'm an inecessor for a marriage.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I don't want to see it fail. I don't want
- 16:22Speaker 4: to see it break up. I want you to fight
- 16:24Speaker 4: for it. I want you to be engaged and invested.
- 16:27Speaker 4: But I can't say nothing but amen. So please don't
- 16:32Speaker 4: do anything that she said, like, do not be so
- 16:36Speaker 4: unwilling to do those things that are necessary. If you
- 16:41Speaker 4: the one that caused the infraction, then get to work.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Don't be standing there like like you got a leg
- 16:50Speaker 4: to stand on if you called the infraction. You got
- 16:52Speaker 4: to do the work if you believe in your relationship,
- 16:55Speaker 4: because everything she just said is one hundred percent legit
- 16:58Speaker 4: reasons why you should walk.
- 17:00Speaker 3: All right, that's.
- 17:01Speaker 2: A great question. Thank you so much for that. We
- 17:03Speaker 2: also welcome your questions.
- 17:04Speaker 1: There was another one that came in, have you ever
- 17:06Speaker 1: experienced infidelity? Asking you guys and then we'll come back
- 17:10Speaker 1: and answer that question and close out the show.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Pestic Glenn was.
- 17:14Speaker 1: About to say something, We're gonna hold hold that thoughts, sir,
- 17:16Speaker 1: We're gonna come back.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Relationship thirsday.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Men versus women, they handle it differently like the man
- 17:33Speaker 1: versus you know, the woman being betrayed or manly versus
- 17:37Speaker 1: like is there a different like most definitely, we.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Are not wired. We can't take it.
- 17:45Speaker 4: It's I mean, guys will cheat or have infidelity and
- 17:52Speaker 4: their wife or woman, there's an expectation almost that what
- 17:56Speaker 4: forgive me?
- 17:56Speaker 3: I ain't do not's the big deal.
- 17:58Speaker 2: It was just this say.
- 18:01Speaker 4: You know has taught women in some spect man gone cheat,
- 18:05Speaker 4: he gonna whatever. So there's a lolo low bar for him,
- 18:08Speaker 4: and he almost has an expectation that she should never
- 18:12Speaker 4: act the food that she gonna forgive him. But did
- 18:16Speaker 4: she do something? We're not wired for it. We're not
- 18:19Speaker 4: We can't comprehend somebody else was up in there, you
- 18:22Speaker 4: know what I mean? Like what you mean, who's been
- 18:25Speaker 4: sleeping in my bed? You know what I'm saying.
- 18:27Speaker 3: It's like you can't comprehend it.
- 18:29Speaker 4: And like me and my daughter was having this conversation
- 18:31Speaker 4: and I said, you know, unfortunately it's a man sexual
- 18:35Speaker 4: member is external, it's outside of his body. A woman's
- 18:39Speaker 4: sexual uh member is inside when you when you go in,
- 18:43Speaker 4: you're inside of her, like where her organs are, like
- 18:46Speaker 4: where she had babies with her womb. And so the
- 18:49Speaker 4: psychological impact of a dude, like somebody else was was
- 18:53Speaker 4: was there. I just think he can't. He's not wired
- 18:57Speaker 4: to that, you know, even but a woman, unfortunately, is
- 19:03Speaker 4: more wired to share in some cases than a man.
- 19:07Speaker 2: A man doesn't.
- 19:08Speaker 5: I mean, if I had been cheated on, it turned
- 19:11Speaker 5: me into, oh, I'm not gonna worry about being cheated on.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I'm going to do I'm gonna turn I'm going to
- 19:17Speaker 5: be the cheater. So that's what happened to me. I
- 19:19Speaker 5: just became I didn't and I was like, and I'm
- 19:21Speaker 5: gonna I'm gonna be honest. And it wasn't that I
- 19:24Speaker 5: became a cheater. I was an honest cheater, Like, don't
- 19:27Speaker 5: trip when you see me out with somebody. I'm just like,
- 19:30Speaker 5: you know, you're not the only one.
- 19:36Speaker 3: This one.
- 19:37Speaker 5: So I just after being cheated, I turned my I
- 19:42Speaker 5: turned it off. I turned that femininity off because I'm like,
- 19:47Speaker 5: I am going to play the game and I'm gonna
- 19:50Speaker 5: win every single time.
- 19:52Speaker 4: And unfortunately, it's a lot of hard women out here
- 19:55Speaker 4: because they've been mishandled and so they got such a
- 19:59Speaker 4: big star.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Affront that is chipping away.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I mean, I remember when I began to love my
- 20:05Speaker 4: wife and I was like, yo, which version of you
- 20:09Speaker 4: is the real you? Because some days I get the soft,
- 20:12Speaker 4: nurturing woman I want to spend the rest of my
- 20:15Speaker 4: life with, and the other days I get this hard
- 20:18Speaker 4: exterior that I'm not attractor and do not want to
- 20:21Speaker 4: spend the rest of my life. And whichever one is
- 20:24Speaker 4: the real you, I need you to show herself now
- 20:26Speaker 4: because internally I'm making some decisions that I need to
- 20:30Speaker 4: know which version is. And she was honest to say,
- 20:34Speaker 4: you know, it's just I've been mishandled and I don't
- 20:37Speaker 4: really know what this is and you won't define it.
- 20:40Speaker 4: So you want me to give you a side of
- 20:42Speaker 4: me that you haven't brought clarity to what this is.
- 20:46Speaker 4: So I go back and forth between wanting to be
- 20:49Speaker 4: my authentic self, which is softer, and then protecting myself
- 20:53Speaker 4: because you haven't defined it. So you get the harder
- 20:56Speaker 4: one some days, and I say, well, I don't mean
- 20:58Speaker 4: to provide you any fusion, but if I'm going to
- 21:01Speaker 4: make a decision, then I need to know which one
- 21:03Speaker 4: is the real you. So who's gonna trust who in
- 21:07Speaker 4: the space so we can get there Because unfortunately, because
- 21:10Speaker 4: women have been mishandled there's a lot of really soft,
- 21:14Speaker 4: sweet nurturing women on the inside that have a real
- 21:17Speaker 4: hard external cover on the outside, and they they they've
- 21:22Speaker 4: made a decision to.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I'm not doing any more.
