Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I gotta go way back to the beginning of the show.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: One of Natalie's texts was uh three days and then vacation.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: And we said, Well, you can't just leave us hanging like that.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: You gotta give us more details where you're going.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: She did text back.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: She's going to Myrtle, which makes me think, are you flying on the new allegiance flights from Elmyra to Myrtle?
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't know.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: I did know she was going to Myrtle.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Something about a friend's timeshare.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: You know, if your friend can't use their timeshare, they don't want it to go to waste.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: So then they'll they'll let you use it at a reduced cost, if you will.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Or you high pressure a friend and say, you're not really using it that week, are you?
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: Right, exactly.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: I actually have that opportunity.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I'm going to New Orleans in October and we are using someone's timeshare.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: We're using our our California listener.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: We're using how funny is that?
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: We're you we're using her timeshare, and I at some point we need to talk about this because I need to get her something.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: You know, for sure, yeah.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: You can't just like, but I also I'm saving myself money and I don't want to pay the full price.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, anyway, we'll get that.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: We'll work there, we'll work that.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: But anyway, that answered that question.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Now back to the bear scenario, because this has been unfolding since I told you 10:30 last night.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Scott snapped multiple times out of the driveway, trying to scare off the bear with the car, and that didn't work.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: You can watch it.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: We have it on our page right now.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: And Scott wanted to know can I shoot off these bottle rockets to get rid of this bear or what?
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Kevin says it's actually illegal in the state of New York.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: God dang it.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: But good luck with that bear.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: But there were a couple other suggestions too that I think you could try.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: This one coming from 1739.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Also spray your trash can with bleach.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: The bear won't want it.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: And then somebody else said we used to put comet around our garbage cans, and that helps.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And we had ammonia a little while ago.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: That's a strong smell.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Then this one from 7329.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: How about just not putting the garbage out until the morning?
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I can answer that question.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So uh all the way back, way long ago, uh um R.I.P.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Josh, my garbage man.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Josh was a Josh Mansfield was his name.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: He was an avid listener to the show, drove for Casella and would text us, you know.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, he was part of the four-hour club.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: He was here the whole time.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, Josh passed.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And uh that that story's very out there.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Miss Josh to this day, but his brother John took over his route.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Now Josh and John were notorious for getting there three in the morning.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: And so that's why you'd put the garbage out at night.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Because even though I'm up about four-ish in the morning, you would miss it.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: They I would have missed it, right?
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Now, uh, you know, there was even a time or two that that Josh would walk up to my uh cans and get them for me because he's like, Oh, Scott didn't get him out.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Because I would have thought, oh, I'll take him out in the morning.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Right, what a shitty.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I get mentally kind of got trained into that.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Now the new driver for the route, because John know John Josh's brother, we following this.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: No longer uh does the route, or I don't think he works for them anymore.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: He works elsewhere.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, I know that.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And so they have somebody else now, which may have already come by now or will be coming shortly.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Um but you just don't want to miss the window.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: I don't want to miss the window because I don't need and especially in the summer, you know, you get that, you know, things start to go bad.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't I I totally understand that.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: All right, I think as long as you do these things, plus one more, go to Hasselson's sponsoring the birthday wheel.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Thank you, yeah.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Uh and get a bear alarm.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It fits in the palm of your hand.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: I used to- Did you not watch my video?
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: I have eight bear alarms on the deck, okay?
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I used to carry one while running.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: You just pull the pin and the alarm sounds.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Don't even have to leave your deck.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, that'll be nice for the neighbors.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm sure the eight dogs last night going nuts was great.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: No, I'm sure you're pulling back and forth, back and forth.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Blowing the horn.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Blowing the horn was in my mind last night.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Also, might have been something that was up in the neighborhood.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: You know, they're probably like, oh, he's at it again.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: And three, two, one.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: You're listening to Scott and Allie.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Scott and Allie's big three.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: He would have thought my crazed last night would have terrified this thing.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: No.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: Does not even care whatsoever.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: President Trump announced Monday he will hold a rally on the National Mall during America's 250th anniversary celebration on July 4th.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: He posted on social media the event will take place between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: And Governor, California Governor Gavin Newsom says the Justice Department has opened a politically motivated investigation into him and his wife.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Newsome says federal agents have c contacted his friends and former staff.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: They've also requested records.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: And he says Donald Trump isn't just coming after me because of my mean tweets.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: He's coming after me because I'm considering running for president.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, interesting.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: And gas prices fell below$4 for the first time since April.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, because apparently we have a deal sign now.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: As oil prices drop following the news of a preliminary peace deal, correct?
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: What between the US and Iran.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: I thought it wasn't supposed to happen until Friday, but all of a sudden, oh, I know why it happened.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: He's at the G7.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: What are you gonna say Fourth of July?
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: I was like Fourth of July?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: Because that's usually when prices go up.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: Trump's at the G7.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Gotta look good in front of other world leaders.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: Also, I got gas yesterday.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Hasn't really fallen here.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: I think I paid$4.39 yesterday.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: But hopefully that'll hit us soon enough.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And there's the big three.
- 5:11unknown: All right.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: I think we're up to speed on everything from now.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: We can move forward because there was another huge story that happened.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Uh well, at least I was told about it this morning.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And I got jail mail.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: Whoa! It references something from the show last week.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Actually, the jail mail will work perfectly into the breaking entertainment news that we have.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Okay well, because you know that there's an individual in that that may have done some time.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
