- 0:13Speaker 1: blame me, That's what it is.
- 0:15Speaker 2: That's all you've done now is just say me, me,
- 0:17Speaker 2: me to me, just like what am I supposed to do.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm excited you're back and you're blaming me for everything.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Five O two three four fourteen fifty five oh two
- 0:26Speaker 2: four one four fourteen fifty You want to text me
- 0:28Speaker 2: on the Whiskey Thief Whiskey Thief text line. Uh, it
- 0:32Speaker 2: is July sixth, Monday, and I tell you what. Welcome
- 0:36Speaker 2: to Justin Cats. My name is Michael Bennett, and I
- 0:38Speaker 2: am so happy to say also, welcome to Justin aka
- 0:43Speaker 2: Scoots Kaylin, who is back with us live on the
- 0:46Speaker 2: air today with Oh hey, listen, you could just go
- 0:49Speaker 2: ahead and take this hour and making an extended version
- 0:53Speaker 2: of Sunrise with Scoots if you want to. I'll just
- 0:56Speaker 2: sit back, I'll enjoy. You're getting all the texts this
- 0:59Speaker 2: morning and people are ecstatic that you're back, and it's deserved.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Thank you, thank you so much. But I do not
- 1:05Speaker 3: need the extension because quite frankly, I came in this morning.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I was not prepared at all. I have I am
- 1:13Speaker 3: two things written down on my sheet of notes. I
- 1:17Speaker 3: was hoping the text line would carry me through sunrise
- 1:20Speaker 3: this morning, and it did. So, Yeah, I don't I
- 1:23Speaker 3: don't really have a lot.
- 1:25Speaker 2: You don't really to me. There's all kinds of stuff
- 1:27Speaker 2: to talk about, Michael.
- 1:30Speaker 3: So for the last five weeks, I told you this
- 1:32Speaker 3: last week when I came on. I've been watching sports
- 1:35Speaker 3: from a gambling perspective and from a I want to
- 1:38Speaker 3: have fun and watch sports perspective. I have not been
- 1:41Speaker 3: watching sports for takes. So it's gonna take me a
- 1:45Speaker 3: little bit to get back into the sports game and
- 1:48Speaker 3: watching sports and from the mindset of well, I've got
- 1:52Speaker 3: to have an opinion on this because I haven't done
- 1:54Speaker 3: that in the last five weeks.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Really, see, I haven't done that in the last eight years,
- 1:58Speaker 2: So I mean, how's that any different? I don't exactly.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I just listen. I'll go I'll watch the game as
- 2:08Speaker 2: a fan, and then I'll go back and read about it.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Then I'll get my takes from that. I don't watch
- 2:14Speaker 2: it as a media member. It's interesting when I go
- 2:17Speaker 2: up like to the media row at Reperino or at
- 2:22Speaker 2: Commonwealth Stadium. I watch the game as a fan and
- 2:25Speaker 2: I feel like that's how everybody should. It doesn't matter
- 2:29Speaker 2: if it's your job or not. Just watch it as
- 2:31Speaker 2: a fan, take it in, and then go back and
- 2:34Speaker 2: you can watch it completely or read about it in
- 2:36Speaker 2: a completely different way.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:38Speaker 2: I understand you're probably gonna say, well, what about those
- 2:40Speaker 2: guys that write about it well, but still, I guarantee
- 2:45Speaker 2: you it would be a better read for majority of
- 2:50Speaker 2: the fans out there if they were reading it from
- 2:52Speaker 2: the perspective an article about a game from the perspective
- 2:57Speaker 2: of another fan, instead of just a media member. Am
- 3:01Speaker 2: I wrong to say that that's kind of how It's
- 3:04Speaker 2: kind of how I take it.
- 3:05Speaker 3: No, I mean I understand what you're going for here,
- 3:07Speaker 3: but I inevitably, each and every time I end up
- 3:10Speaker 3: doing both. I'll watch for my own take, and then
- 3:12Speaker 3: I'll go back and read stuff, and maybe that changes
- 3:15Speaker 3: some of my takes. Maybe it doesn't. I don't. Yeah. No,
- 3:18Speaker 3: I can say I went from consuming as much sports
- 3:23Speaker 3: media as humanly possible five weeks ago to taking that
- 3:28Speaker 3: down cutting it into tents.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's kind of relaxing, isn't it.
- 3:33Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll never forget the great Tony Venetti here in town.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I mean, I mean the icon of Louisville media and radio.
- 3:44Speaker 2: He told me one time when I first started in radio.
- 3:47Speaker 2: He goes, you know, there'll come a day when you
- 3:49Speaker 2: look at sports in a completely different perspective. You'll look
- 3:54Speaker 2: at the University Kentucky in a completely different perspective. I'm like,
- 3:58Speaker 2: there's no way, he goes, yeah, I promise you, because
- 4:01Speaker 2: he goes, like, you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Know, like U of L. I was a die die, die,
- 4:05Speaker 1: die hard fan of u of L.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And now my perspective has changed, and I see how
- 4:09Speaker 2: that kind of transpires at this point. Now it's like, wow,
- 4:13Speaker 2: when you see the inside of your favorite school, you
- 4:17Speaker 2: I'm a modern there. You're the school that you've been
- 4:20Speaker 2: rooting for your entire life, and and you kind of
- 4:25Speaker 2: do change perspectives in a way. No, sometimes it's negative,
- 4:30Speaker 2: sometimes it's positive. Sometimes it's a little combination of everything.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Well, and to me, it's just like anything else in life, right,
- 4:36Speaker 3: Like if you get if you're exposed to too much,
- 4:39Speaker 3: you're you're probably gonna get tired of it. Look, I
- 4:42Speaker 3: am a massive biscuits and gravy fan. I can eat
- 4:45Speaker 3: biscuits and gravy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But at
- 4:47Speaker 3: some point that's gonna get old because I'm over exposed
- 4:51Speaker 3: to biscuits and gravy. The same thing happens in in
- 4:54Speaker 3: almost every industry, but especially sports. I mean, you get
- 4:58Speaker 3: to a point where it's like it you're just you're,
- 5:01Speaker 3: you're you'. It's too much, it's too much. We got
- 5:04Speaker 3: a step away.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We're relating this to biscuits and gravy.
- 5:09Speaker 3: I mean, I will relate everything in my life to
- 5:13Speaker 3: biscuits and gravy.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Really love biscuits, Okay, but yeah, the death of a
- 5:19Speaker 2: close friend or family mary member, how do you relate
- 5:22Speaker 2: that to biscuits and gravy.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm ready. You said you can relate that to anything
- 5:27Speaker 1: in life.
- 5:27Speaker 3: This is my first day back. I wasn't ready for
- 5:29Speaker 3: that challenge.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I see another challenge behind you that I wasn't expecting
- 5:35Speaker 2: to see.
- 5:36Speaker 3: What do you see behind me?
- 5:38Speaker 1: I see two crutches.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I got two crutches.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Really, but it's your foot is still bothering.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's it's at the point where if I
- 5:47Speaker 3: needed to, I could walk on it. Today. I'm just
- 5:49Speaker 3: wanting to keep the weight off of it as long
- 5:52Speaker 3: as possible to give it as much healing time. But yeah,
- 5:55Speaker 3: the swelling's a lot better today. It feels a lot better.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Even yesterday felt a lot better. But yeah, still they're
- 6:01Speaker 3: procrautionary crutches. We'll say that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Really.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Okay, so you didn't have to do a backup terry
- 6:07Speaker 2: or anything like that over Fourth of July fireworks.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Actually, I did not even get around a firework on Saturday,
- 6:13Speaker 3: did you not?
- 6:14Speaker 5: Really?
- 6:14Speaker 3: Now, I will tell you this. I was sitting on
- 6:16Speaker 3: my back porch on Saturday night and I'm meant to
- 6:21Speaker 3: go to the news stations and look this up, but
- 6:23Speaker 3: I swear a firework tent caught on fire right next
- 6:26Speaker 3: to my eyes.
- 6:27Speaker 1: No, I mean it was really.
- 6:28Speaker 3: It was constant twelve to fifteen minutes of just fireworks
- 6:32Speaker 3: going off coming from the same area. I never did
- 6:35Speaker 3: look if it was a firework tent or not, but
- 6:37Speaker 3: I bet it was.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Well, we watched it from here, so of course I
- 6:43Speaker 2: was down in Florida over the weekend, and it was
- 6:46Speaker 2: beautiful display.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I wanted to watch that.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I wanted to watch the New York version too, because
- 6:50Speaker 2: you know this is too. I know it's just a number,
- 6:53Speaker 2: but it's still too. I remember the two hundredth celebration
- 6:57Speaker 2: of the United States and the birthday of the United States,
- 7:03Speaker 2: and and of course fifty years later here we are,
- 7:05Speaker 2: so I time, uh man there. I feel like on
- 7:13Speaker 2: the two hundredth they did a better job nationally as
- 7:17Speaker 2: far as they had these bi centennial moments or minutes
- 7:22Speaker 2: on TV and you'd hear different history about the United States.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I kind of enjoyed that.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So maybe because I was only ten at the time,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it was a lot more impressionable than it was this year.
- 7:33Speaker 2: That's the only thing I can think of. So as
- 7:35Speaker 2: far as fireworks, I don't remember the fireworks back then.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 7:40Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:41Speaker 1: They are.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Times.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if I necessarily agree with that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I mean, it was pretty cool to see the red, white,
- 7:48Speaker 2: and blue and then there'd be a star in the
- 7:50Speaker 2: middle of it. I just fireworks are amazing me. I
- 7:52Speaker 2: don't I know how they work. But I don't know
- 7:54Speaker 2: how they work. It's just how they can put the
- 7:57Speaker 2: different colors, how they can put the different shapes, how
- 7:59Speaker 2: they can do all that kind of stuff. It's like,
- 8:01Speaker 2: how do you do that? I mean I do I
- 8:05Speaker 2: do now? Have I ever let my own fire works. No,
- 8:09Speaker 2: I would like to do that one ever. I've never
- 8:13Speaker 2: done that. I've done firecrackers, but I've never done fireworks
- 8:16Speaker 2: sparkler guy. Yeah, oh I love sparklers. Oh yeah, why
- 8:21Speaker 2: are you making absolutely definitely, I mean I would be
- 8:28Speaker 2: writing Scoots Is back. I mean I would be doing it.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'd be doing it with I used to do it
- 8:33Speaker 2: with two of them, so one in one hand, one
- 8:35Speaker 2: in the other hand. Yeah, so what's wrong with Sparkler's
- 8:38Speaker 2: I love sparklers. You're making fun of me for sparklers.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I was, but admittedly sparklers are a lot of fun.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 8:46Speaker 2: So No, I so you've done your own fireworks before,
- 8:49Speaker 2: thats what you're.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Telling me many many years. But yeah, back in the day,
- 8:53Speaker 3: for sure.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I'd like to do it one time. I mean just
- 8:56Speaker 2: I wouldn't know what to buy, how much to spend on.
- 8:59Speaker 2: I'd probably get there, going to just be one of
- 9:00Speaker 2: those things that just uh sits there and blows the
- 9:05Speaker 2: fireworks right there in front of you. I want the
- 9:07Speaker 2: ones that actually project into the air. That's what I want.
- 9:11Speaker 3: And you're going to spend the money?
- 9:13Speaker 1: Is that? Oh? Those are expensive?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:16Speaker 1: I wonder if I went today and bought them, though,
- 9:18Speaker 1: would they.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Be see exactly, exactly exactly candy after Halloween.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I thought the coolest thing. Oh, that's exactly right. Or
- 9:28Speaker 2: Easter Easter candy after Easter. I always thought. The one
- 9:33Speaker 2: video I saw this week in which I didn't know, Uh,
- 9:37Speaker 2: somebody put a drone video up of Los Angeles and
- 9:40Speaker 2: all the fireworks going on in the city of Los Angeles.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And did you know it is against.
- 9:46Speaker 2: The law to shoot off fireworks in Los Angeles. Why
- 9:52Speaker 2: it's been that way for eighty years. So they said,
- 9:55Speaker 2: you were not. There's a thousand dollars. Fine, if you
- 9:58Speaker 2: do it, there you go. I learned you're checking it.
- 10:00Speaker 2: This is the first thing I got exactly exactly go
- 10:03Speaker 2: ahead and check me out. That's okay, my goodness. Uh
- 10:07Speaker 2: but yeah, it's so. So they showed a video of
- 10:10Speaker 2: all the people that were breaking the law on Los
- 10:12Speaker 2: Angeles and it says what justin.
- 10:15Speaker 3: It says that if they're labeled as safe andsane, they're
- 10:19Speaker 3: completely like they're completely illegal. Okay, completely yes, see exactly,
- 10:25Speaker 3: that's wild. That doesn't make anything. Now, if it was
- 10:28Speaker 3: like Utah or Colorado where they've got that big wildfire going.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I can understand that's different exactly.
- 10:35Speaker 3: But but maybe maybe that's.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Why they do it, because you know, they were always
- 10:38Speaker 2: having wildfires out there and there they don't have enough
- 10:40Speaker 2: rain in California.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Maybe Angelus just a concrete jungle.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I'm there's lots of No, there's lots of space out
- 10:50Speaker 2: there that's able that you can catch on fire. In LA. Yeah,
- 10:55Speaker 2: there's lots of space, So you get out, Yeah, I
- 10:58Speaker 2: promise you there is. Remember my son went to the
- 11:00Speaker 2: school out there and they had the wildfires out there
- 11:03Speaker 2: and he had to come back.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Home in LA.
- 11:06Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 11:07Speaker 1: So it is crazy.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But did you go to the longest running Fourth of
- 11:12Speaker 2: July celebration in your hometown?
- 11:14Speaker 3: I did not. No, really, I haven't been there and
- 11:19Speaker 3: many many, many many years. Maybe I'll go to I
- 11:22Speaker 3: think this year was what one ninety six? Maybe I'll
- 11:25Speaker 3: go to the two US Was it?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Really?
- 11:27Speaker 2: It was one ninety six Peak in Indiana if you
- 11:31Speaker 2: didn't know out there listening has the oldest Fourth of
- 11:34Speaker 2: July celebration in the country, which I think is the
- 11:36Speaker 2: coolest thing.
- 11:37Speaker 1: What so the last one you went to is how
- 11:40Speaker 1: long ago?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:42Speaker 4: Man?
- 11:42Speaker 2: I probably was just out of high school. Is it
- 11:45Speaker 2: a pretty good celebration. I mean it's fireworks, I assume there.
- 11:49Speaker 3: It usually is, although I heard some reports about this
- 11:52Speaker 3: year not being all that great. But yeah, I mean
- 11:53Speaker 3: in years past they bring in all these rides like
- 11:56Speaker 3: it's a fair. So they'll bring really up to ten
- 12:00Speaker 3: brides for the kids to ride. They have a three
- 12:02Speaker 3: on three basketball tournament every year. They do like a
- 12:06Speaker 3: prince and princess thing up on stage. They do like
- 12:09Speaker 3: the cutest baby contest. The parade on Saturday morning is massive,
- 12:14Speaker 3: and then yeah, the they I think they do the
- 12:16Speaker 3: fireworks the night before Fourth of July. But yeah, it's
- 12:20Speaker 3: it's a massive celebration.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I didn't see who won the hot dog contest. That's
- 12:24Speaker 2: the biggest thing to me.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Over the way, we don't think won the hot dog
- 12:27Speaker 3: Joey Chipwood again, Joey ches.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Or whatever his name, chip Wood, Chestnut. They're all the
- 12:32Speaker 2: same to me, So it was really I mean, is
- 12:36Speaker 2: he really? I didn't realize that where is he from
- 12:40Speaker 2: in Indiana?
- 12:41Speaker 3: Chesterfield or something?
- 12:43Speaker 2: I have no idea where that is chester? Okay, this
- 12:48Speaker 2: is not this is not Adam Sandler. Okay, but what's
- 12:52Speaker 2: that other girl's name? That said that Naiomi Rider.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Isn't it that? Yeah? It is? Trust me, I'm sure
- 13:00Speaker 1: there you go.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Check it out.
- 13:01Speaker 1: My gosh, man, do you not trust anything I say?
- 13:06Speaker 3: Up?
- 13:06Speaker 2: Actually, I can't even think the name of that movie is.
- 13:11Speaker 2: That's it, mister beats. Thank you, so one of the
- 13:13Speaker 2: goofy ones. All right, there are two big things that
- 13:16Speaker 2: happened over the weekend that I think as far as Kentucky.
- 13:20Speaker 2: One is a former one is hilarious. Which one is
- 13:27Speaker 2: hilarious to you Kerk exactly? Okay, I don't know if
- 13:32Speaker 2: it's hilarious or not that Okay, yeah, you got Kerk
- 13:38Speaker 2: Chrisa getting arrested in Lexington as he's preparing himself to
- 13:42Speaker 2: be a part of the Familia la Familia, whatever it is.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And the other one is Mark Pope goes to Turkey?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Which one justin Kalin because you're the man of the
- 13:53Speaker 2: of the next two hours?
- 13:55Speaker 1: Which one should we talk first.
- 13:58Speaker 3: In regards to Pope go to Turkey? Is it after
- 14:01Speaker 3: that Coastika guy Costa Rica? Yes, that's not how you
- 14:06Speaker 3: say his name. I'm always going to say Costa Rica. Yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 3: it's gonna be Costa Rica. And that's where if he
- 14:13Speaker 3: comes to UK. That's where they're going on their trip.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Is I forgot that's been that long since you've been here.
- 14:19Speaker 3: So Matthew and I were talking about Costa Rica. I haven't.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I actually had a text on my show this morning.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I was actually off the air when Mom Chilovich made
- 14:29Speaker 3: the decision.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I really, I hadn't even.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Got my thoughts out there about Mom Chilovich up until.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Oh, okay, all right, then, well I tell you what.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'll let you put your thoughts together as far as that,
- 14:42Speaker 2: and then after the first break, I'll let you talk
- 14:44Speaker 2: about Mom Chilovich. But I don't hold no, well you
- 14:49Speaker 2: got You're gonna have a whole hour. I mean, but
- 14:51Speaker 2: I want to know what should we talk first? Should
- 14:55Speaker 2: we talk Kirk Chrisa or should we talk you think
- 14:58Speaker 2: it's kerk okay? All right, So if you haven't seen it,
- 15:02Speaker 2: I don't know where you've been. But Kirk chris As
- 15:05Speaker 2: just announced last week he was going to be playing
- 15:09Speaker 2: for Team La Familia, and then all of a sudden,
- 15:15Speaker 2: he gets arrested in Lexington, Kentucky, by the FBI in
- 15:20Speaker 2: connection to the multimillion dollar fraud scheme. Going back to
- 15:25Speaker 2: his time at West Virginia, which was.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Back in twenty twenty three, twenty four.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Man that that to me was a crazy event that happened,
- 15:35Speaker 2: and of all places for it to happen is in Lexington.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Thank goodness, it didn't have anything to do with UK,
- 15:41Speaker 2: but it's still a bit of a black eye. What
- 15:47Speaker 2: do you think about this whole situation for Kirk Chris
- 15:51Speaker 2: and everything that's going on with this FBI multimillion dollar
- 15:55Speaker 2: fraud scheme investigation.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I mean, I don't I don't really have any overwhelming thoughts,
- 16:01Speaker 3: but I just thought it was pretty hilarious how Kentucky
- 16:04Speaker 3: fans get the news that he's gonna be on La Familia.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Everybody's jacked up, and rightfully so I said on my shows, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 3: oh yeah. Kirk Chris is a perfect TBT player. Like
- 16:15Speaker 3: when you think about this tournament and the types of
- 16:18Speaker 3: guys that you want on your team, it's him to
- 16:20Speaker 3: a t I mean, he he's the type of guy
- 16:22Speaker 3: that's gonna get under people's skin. He's the type of
- 16:25Speaker 3: guy that's gonna knock down big shots. I mean, he
- 16:27Speaker 3: would have been a massive addition to La Familia. So
- 16:31Speaker 3: going from the excitement of him being announced on the
- 16:34Speaker 3: team to then what last night or Saturday whenever it
- 16:38Speaker 3: happened the news of him being arrested, and you're like, wait,
- 16:42Speaker 3: what what? Yeah, I didn't expect to hear Kirk Creese's
- 16:46Speaker 3: name one time in a week, let alone twice for
- 16:49Speaker 3: two completely different reasons.
- 16:52Speaker 2: I see, I'm right there with you. Now, do you
- 16:54Speaker 2: think this disrupts the entire team? Because I don't think
- 16:57Speaker 2: he was there long enough to really disrep anything.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 17:02Speaker 2: And is this a really it would have been a
- 17:05Speaker 2: nice addition, But is it would Which is better or worse?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Is it that he was going to be on that
- 17:12Speaker 2: team or is it worse that he's now not on
- 17:14Speaker 2: that team.
- 17:16Speaker 3: With everything going on with him? Is that what you mean?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Well, as far as the team La Familia, I mean
- 17:22Speaker 2: I think that's obviously.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I think this is a team that's gonna benefit having
- 17:27Speaker 3: him more than not having him.
- 17:28Speaker 1: But that's what I mean.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, if whatever's going on with him, and i've heard
- 17:33Speaker 3: point shading, I don't know if that's the case or not,
- 17:35Speaker 3: but whatever's going on with him, if that was going
- 17:38Speaker 3: to be a hindrance to this team had he been
- 17:40Speaker 3: on it, then maybe that would have been the biggest,
- 17:42Speaker 3: That would have been worse. But I don't I don't
- 17:44Speaker 3: see how that would have affected anything. So I think
- 17:46Speaker 3: it is a bigger deal to not.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Have it is okay, Well it's a shame because I'm
- 17:52Speaker 2: like you, I think he was going to be a
- 17:54Speaker 2: fantastic edition.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It could have.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Propelled them to another level in the TBT.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Because that's what we're gonna be talking about now.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I mean, of course you got soccer going on, you
- 18:06Speaker 2: got Wimbledon going on, you got now TBT locally, which
- 18:11Speaker 2: is big too. Uh what do you care less of
- 18:12Speaker 2: about the World Cup or Wimbledon? A World Cup without
- 18:16Speaker 2: a doubt, I watch Wimbledon. I will sit there and
- 18:19Speaker 2: in fact, I watched Wimbledon yesterday, uh for a good
- 18:23Speaker 2: two or three hours. But no, it's I'm sorry, soccer fans,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I just don't get your sport.
- 18:29Speaker 1: And I'm just not. I have literally tried. I just
- 18:33Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 18:34Speaker 3: You've missed out big time. This has been an amazing
- 18:38Speaker 3: World Cup. There's been so many games that have just
- 18:40Speaker 3: been awesome. Well, we're gonna talk about it. Both of
- 18:43Speaker 3: them yesterday were great.
- 18:45Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about it. So we're gonna take a break.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Five O two three and four fourteen fifty. You want
- 18:49Speaker 2: to call in five oh two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 18:52Speaker 2: You want to text in on the whissy Fied text line,
- 18:54Speaker 2: or you tweet me at Just the Cat Raider.
- 18:56Speaker 1: When we come back.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Okay, we'll talk a little bit about soccer because you
- 18:59Speaker 2: watch the game as there are some things that happened
- 19:03Speaker 2: that I think is it funny or is it really
- 19:06Speaker 2: a nuisance?
- 19:08Speaker 1: We'll talk about that too.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Stay right, there a lot more of Justin cats because
- 19:11Speaker 2: Justin Kaylin is back. I'm so excited. Put a smile
- 19:15Speaker 2: on your face. Okay, I'm happy you're here. We'll see
- 19:17Speaker 2: to a minute. This is just.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Five O two three four fourteen fifty.
- 19:55Speaker 2: If you want to call in five two four one
- 19:56Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty, you want to text in on the
- 19:58Speaker 2: Whisky Thief text line. Know you tweet me a Just
- 20:00Speaker 2: the Cat Radio. So let's we'll talk about it for
- 20:04Speaker 2: a little bit. But Team USA plays tonight against Belgium.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 20:11Speaker 3: That's correct?
- 20:12Speaker 1: All right?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Do you know much about Belgium? I absolutely know nothing
- 20:16Speaker 2: about him.
- 20:16Speaker 3: I know they've got a really good striker in Romeo Lucaku,
- 20:20Speaker 3: I think his first name Romeo, but it sounds good
- 20:24Speaker 3: to me. Outside of that. No, I don't know a
- 20:26Speaker 3: whole lot about this Belgium team, but I should because
- 20:29Speaker 3: we have had a pretty bad string of luck against
- 20:32Speaker 3: them as of late. In the World Cup. They knocked
- 20:35Speaker 3: us out in this round in twenty fourteen, so maybe
- 20:38Speaker 3: a little payback on our minds tonight. I'd love to
- 20:40Speaker 3: see them get the win, but Balligan playing definitely helps
- 20:44Speaker 3: us out.
- 20:45Speaker 2: All right, So that's exactly what I wanted to lead to.
- 20:47Speaker 2: So are you surprised that they allowed him to play
- 20:52Speaker 2: tonight in the ball a ball game, whatever soccer game.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I am, because, yeah, we've seen overturns in the past
- 21:00Speaker 3: when in regards to FIFA, but I actually didn't know
- 21:03Speaker 3: this till this morning, but we have not seen one
- 21:05Speaker 3: in sixty years, So this is the first red guard
- 21:08Speaker 3: overturned in sixty years by FIFA. I am surprised, but
- 21:13Speaker 3: I think ultimately it was the right decision. I mean
- 21:16Speaker 3: that that was a bogus red guard. It should have
- 21:19Speaker 3: he should have never been caught. Maybe a yellow card
- 21:21Speaker 3: for that, but straight red I thought was was egregious
- 21:24Speaker 3: and for him to have to potentially miss this game,
- 21:27Speaker 3: then you would have been relying on a bunch of
- 21:29Speaker 3: your other players that have to play perfect games. And
- 21:32Speaker 3: now you don't have to worry about that. Now you
- 21:33Speaker 3: just go out and continue to do what you've been
- 21:35Speaker 3: doing the last several weeks.
- 21:37Speaker 2: All right, So you you said you have watched literally
- 21:41Speaker 2: how much of the World Cup?
- 21:44Speaker 3: I would say ninety two percent of all minutes played
- 21:47Speaker 3: I have.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Watched really correct, Okay, good for you.
- 21:51Speaker 2: I would say I have probably watched point zero zero
- 21:56Speaker 2: one percent.
- 21:58Speaker 3: You've watched less than I watched yesterday, Probably so because
- 22:03Speaker 3: I watched both games yesterday from start to finish.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't. I didn't watch a single bit of
- 22:07Speaker 2: it yesterday. As zero percent yesterday he missed out. I
- 22:11Speaker 2: mean only time I would watch is like I would
- 22:15Speaker 2: turn the channel and have it there for a second,
- 22:18Speaker 2: then I turn.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I just I don't get it. Now.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I think one of the main questions that should be asked,
- 22:27Speaker 2: will this World Cup finally make soccer mainstream in the US?
- 22:31Speaker 3: Oh? Very much?
- 22:32Speaker 5: So?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:33Speaker 1: Do you think that I do?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Because I mean you look at all the people
- 22:37Speaker 3: that have bought into this. Now you're not one of them,
- 22:40Speaker 3: and that's fine. I don't hate you for that. But
- 22:43Speaker 3: there's been a lot of people across the country that
- 22:46Speaker 3: are in the same boat as you coming in. They're
- 22:48Speaker 3: not soccer fans, but they've tuned in and they've really
- 22:51Speaker 3: fallen in love with this US team because they've been
- 22:54Speaker 3: competitive against some of the best teams in the world.
- 22:57Speaker 3: We're just seeing a version of the United State dates
- 23:00Speaker 3: that I don't know that we've ever seen. And is
- 23:02Speaker 3: this the springboard for the future. I do. I think
- 23:05Speaker 3: it is. You're getting a lot of kids across the
- 23:07Speaker 3: nation that are watching this and getting hyped for the
- 23:11Speaker 3: USA soccer team, so that's in turn gonna want to
- 23:14Speaker 3: make them play. I do think this is a springboard
- 23:17Speaker 3: to help level the playing field a little bit. Now.
- 23:20Speaker 3: Are we gonna become one of the European powers in
- 23:23Speaker 3: the next four to eight years? Probably not. But if
- 23:26Speaker 3: you're telling me twenty years from now that the US
- 23:29Speaker 3: is a player each and every World Cup, I would
- 23:32Speaker 3: believe that whole.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Art see IM not necessarily A lot of people say yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 2: it will until football season starts and then people will
- 23:41Speaker 2: forget all about soccer.
- 23:43Speaker 1: That's what I think.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I think once football season starts with the exhibition games
- 23:48Speaker 2: and then full out the regular season, I think people
- 23:51Speaker 2: have forgotten all about soccer.
- 23:53Speaker 3: They absolutely will, But that's just because the way soccer's ran, right, Like,
- 23:57Speaker 3: there's a ton of people across the world that they
- 24:01Speaker 3: love league soccer. Like I'm a I watch Bundesliga almost
- 24:05Speaker 3: every Saturday morning, or at least I used to. I know, Mat,
- 24:08Speaker 3: you watch what league is. It's the German League.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Bungus Bundesliga, bundas Bundesliga.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Okay, but I mean that's what I grew up watching
- 24:19Speaker 3: as a kid, so I like, I like the leagues.
- 24:21Speaker 3: I know Matt's a big Premier league guy. Outside of
- 24:25Speaker 3: the national tournaments, but that's the thing you don't You
- 24:28Speaker 3: don't get to see the national team play all that often, right,
- 24:31Speaker 3: Like they'll have friendlies leading or even in the summers
- 24:35Speaker 3: and whatnot, but there's not a tournament that means as
- 24:38Speaker 3: much as this one. So yeah, I do believe that
- 24:42Speaker 3: once football stars, people will forget about soccer because it's
- 24:45Speaker 3: not the national team. They're not gonna go seek out
- 24:48Speaker 3: MLS or USL or whatever. It's just that's not gonna happen.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Well, it grow the popularity of Louisville's soccer team. You
- 24:59Speaker 2: think that popul will increase and get a lot of
- 25:01Speaker 2: fans to go to their games, because I hate to
- 25:05Speaker 2: say it, I think maybe for a little bit, but
- 25:07Speaker 2: then after that they'll just like, Okay, let's go back
- 25:09Speaker 2: to our normal sports. I just don't think it's going
- 25:11Speaker 2: to increase popularity in the United States.
- 25:13Speaker 3: I don't think then, not with smaller clubs like Louisville City. No,
- 25:16Speaker 3: absolutely not. I mean it's Louisville City's fan base is
- 25:20Speaker 3: what it is. I mean, they've they've been there since
- 25:22Speaker 3: the beginning. Maybe there's been more people jump on board.
- 25:25Speaker 3: But as a result of this World Cup I don't
- 25:27Speaker 3: think you're gonna get that.
- 25:28Speaker 2: No. Yeah, what do you think about Team England booked
- 25:33Speaker 2: fifteen different hotels, yet Mexican fans still found out where
- 25:37Speaker 2: they were staying in blasted noise all night long.
- 25:41Speaker 3: And then they lose the game.
- 25:42Speaker 2: And did they lose on top of it? See, that's
- 25:44Speaker 2: when I think that it's wrong to do that. To me,
- 25:48Speaker 2: it motivates me to go out there and prove them wrong.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I all right, do you think it was an inside
- 25:55Speaker 2: job or do you think they really found on their
- 25:57Speaker 2: own where the team was staying. Mexican fans, I'm sure
- 26:00Speaker 2: they found out somehow.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I mean, there's England has some pretty recognizable players that
- 26:05Speaker 3: if you see them walk into a hotel somehow, then
- 26:08Speaker 3: you're gonna know that's that's probably where the team stay.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I'm wondering, how did it even affect the England team
- 26:13Speaker 3: like these guys.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Well, clearly it didn't, because they won.
- 26:16Speaker 3: With the way that these guys take care of themselves,
- 26:19Speaker 3: not only when they're like awake and eating and the
- 26:23Speaker 3: way they take care of their bodies, but they also
- 26:26Speaker 3: are really ridiculous about taking care of themselves when they sleep.
- 26:30Speaker 3: So I don't know if how many of them were
- 26:32Speaker 3: even affected by the whole who the ultarades, But what
- 26:35Speaker 3: an absolute embarrassment you're you do that at their hotel.
- 26:39Speaker 3: You're playing the game in Mexico City as one of
- 26:42Speaker 3: the host countries of this World Cup, and you come
- 26:45Speaker 3: out and you just get smoked. That was that was embarrassing.
- 26:49Speaker 2: That and then they showed the video of all the
- 26:52Speaker 2: Mexican fans shooting foam on their buses.
- 26:55Speaker 1: It's like, well, what's the deal?
- 26:57Speaker 2: I mean, a lot of people were criticizing the Mexican fans.
- 27:00Speaker 2: It's just like, go to the game, yell your brains
- 27:04Speaker 2: out and cheer for your team. Don't go do all
- 27:07Speaker 2: these antics.
- 27:08Speaker 3: It feels like that's kind of the Mexican mindset though,
- 27:10Speaker 3: right is it really don't worry about what you can do.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Let's just try to mess everybody else up and see
- 27:16Speaker 3: what can happen.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Now, I didn't know Mexico was an altitude issue there.
- 27:22Speaker 1: It is really okay.
- 27:24Speaker 2: So, according to some reports, Team England was considering using
- 27:30Speaker 2: viagra to overcome altitude.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of this before? Now the coach.
- 27:36Speaker 2: The coach ended up saying, yeah, we were not going
- 27:38Speaker 2: to be doing that.
- 27:40Speaker 3: I don't know that I would have watched any of
- 27:42Speaker 3: that game last night if that were the case. I
- 27:45Speaker 3: went from watching the whole thing to watch none. Just
- 27:47Speaker 3: because of that. I thought that was, well, that's different,
- 27:52Speaker 3: isn't it. Isn't the bluepill a little different than the
- 27:55Speaker 3: viagra pill? What is actually?
- 27:58Speaker 2: Well, look at me, I don't either, but I thought
- 28:02Speaker 2: I thought this. I never dreamed that we would be
- 28:05Speaker 2: talking about this on this show ever. But uh, you know,
- 28:08Speaker 2: I like the fact that the pill is blue. But
- 28:12Speaker 2: viagra helps with altitude issues.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Doesn't it make your like blood vessels expand some more? An,
- 28:23Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yah, don't either, I I listen. Wasn't viagra invented by accident?
- 28:30Speaker 2: Most of the drugs out there aren't They invented by accident?
- 28:34Speaker 2: Like everybody's everybody's on wacova or these diet injections, right,
- 28:41Speaker 2: and they were originally invented for something else, and found
- 28:44Speaker 2: out that it was a h appetite suppressant. Now they're
- 28:49Speaker 2: all taking it because of the appetite suppressent more and
- 28:52Speaker 2: so than what it was originally designed for. I thought
- 28:55Speaker 2: viagra or one of those pills, a little blue pill
- 28:58Speaker 2: or whatever it is, was designed for something else and
- 29:02Speaker 2: found out it did something else.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I don't know if it.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I did learn while I was out the microwave
- 29:09Speaker 3: was invented by accident.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Oh seriously, I didn't know that the microwave was invented
- 29:15Speaker 2: by accident.
- 29:16Speaker 1: What was it supposed to be?
- 29:17Speaker 2: I don't really know. I didn't geek out on it that. Oh,
- 29:20Speaker 2: thanks for bringing that up. Then, I appreciate you knowing
- 29:22Speaker 2: the story. Well, yeah, and now I gotta go figure out.
- 29:26Speaker 5: Well.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I mean, my sister said I was invented by accident.
- 29:30Speaker 2: So and that always makes me feel good because you know,
- 29:32Speaker 2: I came thirteen and ten years later than my brother
- 29:34Speaker 2: and sister. But uh anyway, uh all right, Uh, let's
- 29:38Speaker 2: get to a couple of texts here on the Whiskey
- 29:40Speaker 2: Thief text line five two four one four fourteen fifty uh.
- 29:43Speaker 2: One person said, so that's why you're back on radio
- 29:46Speaker 2: because you.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Got hurt and your new manual labor job.
- 29:52Speaker 3: It was last week was rough not being able to
- 29:54Speaker 3: work it really? Oh yeah, I was. I told you
- 29:58Speaker 3: when I came on on Wednesday decided to work last
- 30:01Speaker 3: week it was nine million degrees. I was gonna drop
- 30:04Speaker 3: another fifteen pounds, which I think I'm up to twenty.
- 30:07Speaker 3: So go me.
- 30:08Speaker 2: You have lost twenty pounds, good for you, I've lost.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I'm up to almost sixty I've lost the past year.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I'd love to get another twenty or thirty down.
- 30:20Speaker 3: That's a lot of weight.
- 30:21Speaker 2: That's kind of that isn't though, I mean, that isn't
- 30:24Speaker 2: a ton of weight. John here, Michael and Justin. Is
- 30:28Speaker 2: just great to hear you back together. Hey, guys, I
- 30:30Speaker 2: have a question for you. With Kentucky and IU rosters
- 30:34Speaker 2: for both basket and football, what do you think will
- 30:37Speaker 2: happen in the basketball game and what would happen if
- 30:40Speaker 2: they played in football? Who would win in football or
- 30:42Speaker 2: who would win in basketball? How close would or will
- 30:46Speaker 2: the games be? I you were already smirking about this question.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I okay, should we s which sport do you want
- 30:55Speaker 2: to start? Well, football's coming up first? Should we start
- 30:57Speaker 2: with football?
- 30:58Speaker 3: All the way?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Okay, let's go ahead with football, because I know that's
- 31:01Speaker 2: the one you're probably smirking about the most.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Is that fair to say?
- 31:05Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 31:06Speaker 2: Okay, all right, let's talk about football. If UK, which
- 31:09Speaker 2: is not scheduled, but it used to be scheduled on
- 31:12Speaker 2: a regular race, if UK was playing IU in football,
- 31:17Speaker 2: I think we both agree who's going to win? Now?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Because let's put this into perspective. This is will Stein's
- 31:23Speaker 2: first year. He's got a brand new complete system, a
- 31:27Speaker 2: brand new roster, a brand new everything. I think we
- 31:30Speaker 2: both agree IU is going to win this game, no doubt.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Is it close? I mean, is it? Is it within
- 31:38Speaker 1: two touchdowns?
- 31:40Speaker 5: You?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Okay, here comes mister cockey. All right, you think it's
- 31:44Speaker 2: going to be what I games.
- 31:47Speaker 3: I'm going to go conservative. I don't really care where
- 31:49Speaker 3: the game's even at. I'm going to go conservative, and
- 31:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna say thirty eight to ten thirty.
- 31:56Speaker 1: So you think it's going to be a twenty eight
- 31:59Speaker 1: point win.
- 32:00Speaker 3: And I don't think, honestly, as much as I believe
- 32:03Speaker 3: in will Stein and this Kentucky football team, I don't
- 32:06Speaker 3: think that you all even score ten. This is There's
- 32:09Speaker 3: been a lot of news coming out of Bloomington that
- 32:11Speaker 3: this defense for the football team this year is gonna
- 32:14Speaker 3: be better than it was last year. And that is
- 32:16Speaker 3: for the rest of the country, that's pretty damn scary.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:20Speaker 2: But the problem I have with IU is you've got
- 32:23Speaker 2: a brand new quarterback with without Fernando Mendoza being gone.
- 32:27Speaker 3: So he's quarterback whisperer. I don't care.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Okay, so is will Stein.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Will Stein will do fine, trust me, he will. Oh.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I like that.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Will Stein will do five.
- 32:39Speaker 3: He will have plenty of really, really really good years.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I fully believe that. But he's not. He's not Kurt
- 32:46Speaker 3: Signetty nobody, Okay, I and send it to will That's
- 32:53Speaker 3: fine by all means, do it.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I I don't know if I necessarily agree it's
- 32:58Speaker 2: going to be a.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Twenty eight point win.
- 33:00Speaker 3: I mean, I agree with.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Just stop please, it's not gonna be that much.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna give them probably more of an eighteen
- 33:11Speaker 2: point win.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I'm not gonna mind me.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You and Indiana did against Alabama last year.
- 33:15Speaker 2: That's not the Alabama of old. That doesn't mean a
- 33:18Speaker 2: thing to me. Well this is that's the Kentucky of
- 33:20Speaker 2: new either. Well, it's getting ready to be. So you
- 33:23Speaker 2: just watch out. I'm telling you, Kentucky's gonna be a
- 33:25Speaker 2: lot better than people are predicting.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm excited about this.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Five and seven is pretty good.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Oh my god, five and seven I would be happy with.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Now if if if you k gets the six and
- 33:39Speaker 2: six and six, seven and five, man, that's gonna be
- 33:44Speaker 2: a banner year. Absolutely, So, I just I don't know.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I think I think they're gonna be quietly, h pretty
- 33:53Speaker 2: quiet about how good they're practicing.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And then pretty quiet when they start playing some real games.
- 34:01Speaker 3: If they meet to seven and five, go ahead and
- 34:03Speaker 3: give him the lifetime contract.
- 34:05Speaker 1: No, we're not doing that anymore.
- 34:07Speaker 2: If if j Batt does that, I'm going to have
- 34:10Speaker 2: him immediately fired.
- 34:11Speaker 1: We're not doing lifetime contract.
- 34:13Speaker 3: How do we feel about Jay Bat? Haven't gotten to
- 34:15Speaker 3: talk to you about that.
- 34:17Speaker 1: How do I feel about Jay Batt?
- 34:20Speaker 2: Only thing I can say, it's a needed change, and
- 34:22Speaker 2: it's a long time coming, and so I think it's
- 34:26Speaker 2: a sounds like a good hire. Let's just let's give
- 34:28Speaker 2: him a year and so I see how he settles
- 34:30Speaker 2: in and if he's able to bring in the money
- 34:34Speaker 2: that he was at Michigan State, then I'm feeling really
- 34:38Speaker 2: good about that.
- 34:40Speaker 1: So we'll see how that is. What do you think
- 34:43Speaker 1: was a good high?
- 34:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I didn't. I didn't mind it at all.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Now I wish he would have had more high level
- 34:49Speaker 3: experience than he did prior to coming. But yeah, it's
- 34:52Speaker 3: like he's going to be a pretty good fit. And
- 34:54Speaker 3: it helps Smart Pope too, i'd imagine. Right Well, we'll
- 34:58Speaker 3: see either on see. I mean, we'll see if it
- 35:02Speaker 3: does or not. If Mark Pope does not get to
- 35:09Speaker 3: if he didn't have a good season this year, then
- 35:11Speaker 3: I think a change needs to be made.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So even if it's Mark jay Batt's first year at UK,
- 35:17Speaker 2: you got to make some change. You got to make
- 35:19Speaker 2: him quick and you got to make certain that you're
- 35:21Speaker 2: bringing in the people that you want. So John here
- 35:24Speaker 2: said Joey Chestnutt was born in Fulton County, Kentucky, and
- 35:30Speaker 2: grew up in Vallejo, California.
- 35:34Speaker 3: It is said on his bio during the host.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Hold On, Hold On.
- 35:40Speaker 2: He later relocated to the Midwest and currently resides in Westfield, Indiana.
- 35:45Speaker 2: So there you go. But he's from Fulton County, Kentucky.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Wasn't that a Johnny Cash song, Fulton? No, that was
- 35:53Speaker 2: a seems like that was a country music song. Yeah, Fulton.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Maybe it was a lady that country music singing that
- 36:02Speaker 2: singing up somewhere.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I don't know, you know, worry he respects more because
- 36:05Speaker 3: he has Indiana on his Oh of course, Oh really
- 36:09Speaker 3: proud of Kentucky, he'd have that on there.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Okay, fine, all right, let's just listen. I'm gonna let
- 36:14Speaker 2: you get away with all this today.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:16Speaker 2: You can have all your fun today whatever you want,
- 36:19Speaker 2: but starting tomorrow, that's over.
- 36:20Speaker 5: Uh.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Let's go ahead, take our next break.
- 36:22Speaker 2: We'll get back to here, Texas soon as we get
- 36:23Speaker 2: back five O two four one four fourteen fifties, stay
- 36:26Speaker 2: right there, or just Thatt's coming up. God bless America,
- 36:32Speaker 2: and you never didn't think it happened again?
- 36:38Speaker 3: Get together again again.
- 36:47Speaker 1: If everybody had.
- 36:48Speaker 5: An across the USA, then everybody.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Be sir.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Like California. You'd see him where on.
- 37:04Speaker 3: A bushy bushy bun here. Yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Well, well there's a song you know you're playing.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I know it's unpopular, but I just don't like the
- 37:17Speaker 2: Beach Boys.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 37:19Speaker 3: So you don't like having fun.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Exactly, Clearly, I don't like having fun.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Honestly, this is kind of one of your worst takes.
- 37:27Speaker 3: I would say it is because when I think of
- 37:30Speaker 3: your favorite artists, Yes, Jimmy Buffett's right there at the top,
- 37:34Speaker 3: Jimmy Bullet and the Beach Boys sing about basically the
- 37:39Speaker 3: exact same thing they got.
- 37:41Speaker 1: They probably right.
- 37:42Speaker 3: They both have that funky sound to them. I'm just
- 37:44Speaker 3: surprised you don't like the Beach Boys.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never liked the Beach Boys.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I guess because there'd be so many people that played
- 37:51Speaker 2: it back when I was in high school.
- 37:53Speaker 1: It's like it just gets old. I mean, there is
- 37:56Speaker 1: still songs.
- 37:56Speaker 2: For my high school youth that I just like I
- 38:00Speaker 2: can't listen to and a lot of it has to
- 38:02Speaker 2: do with the Beach Boys, and I just it's just
- 38:06Speaker 2: I can still see this one girl dancing like she's
- 38:08Speaker 2: back in the sixties to the Beach Boys, like you
- 38:11Speaker 2: look ridiculous?
- 38:12Speaker 1: Would you please stop.
- 38:13Speaker 3: See I think for me it's just nostalgia because my
- 38:16Speaker 3: grandma when I was growing up, okay, she would listen
- 38:19Speaker 3: to oldies, which happened to be a ton of beach Boys.
- 38:21Speaker 3: So I like the Beach Boys always out.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Here's my two worst takes, and I would agree with you,
- 38:27Speaker 2: these are horrible takes. I don't like the Beach Boys.
- 38:31Speaker 2: I don't like the Beatles. I never liked the Beatles.
- 38:33Speaker 3: I can get behind.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Oh can you really?
- 38:36Speaker 2: I'm kind of surprised it seems like everybody loves the Beatles.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I think they're a little over over really sorry.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Because I will tell you now, Individually, I did like
- 38:45Speaker 2: some of them, but as a group, I didn't like
- 38:48Speaker 2: any of them. So I would have to say John
- 38:50Speaker 2: Lennon was probably my favorite Beatle music outside of the Beatles.
- 38:55Speaker 2: I like some of George Harrison's songs. I'll even take
- 38:59Speaker 2: Ringo Star over Paul McCartney. I don't like any Paul
- 39:03Speaker 2: McCartney music, and if I have to listen to that
- 39:05Speaker 2: one Paul McCartney Christmas song, I just I'm gonna lose it.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Wait, So did they all do their own solo thing?
- 39:15Speaker 3: You didn't know that everyone? I don't know if I
- 39:17Speaker 3: realized that. Oh my god, I definitely know that some
- 39:21Speaker 3: of them that I didn't realize at all of them.
- 39:23Speaker 2: All of them did. Yeah, they all did their own
- 39:25Speaker 2: solo stuff. I'll have to tell you. One of the
- 39:27Speaker 2: best concerts I've ever been to was Ringo. This was
- 39:30Speaker 2: at the Kentucky State Fair a few years back. Ringo
- 39:34Speaker 2: Starr in his all star band, and it was one
- 39:36Speaker 2: of the best concerts I've ever been Joe Walsh was
- 39:39Speaker 2: a part of it, and he was there singing his
- 39:41Speaker 2: Rocky Mountain Way and all a lot of his solo stuff,
- 39:44Speaker 2: which was fantastic. I'm trying to think of who some
- 39:47Speaker 2: of the other people that were in that band. It
- 39:50Speaker 2: was fantastic. I mean, it was a bunch of guys
- 39:53Speaker 2: just up there singing with Ringo Star and it was
- 39:55Speaker 2: a lot of fun. Rego Star is a to me,
- 39:58Speaker 2: He's an entertainer, doesn't have any musical talent at all,
- 40:01Speaker 2: and I clearly he can play the drums, but I
- 40:04Speaker 2: just to me, he's just an entertainer, because there's those
- 40:08Speaker 2: kind of musicians and entertainers out there. They can't sing
- 40:12Speaker 2: a lick, but for some reason people love watching them
- 40:15Speaker 2: on stage because they're entertaining. Because they're entertaining exactly, and
- 40:20Speaker 2: that's ringo star for me. I liked him, but Paul McCartney,
- 40:24Speaker 2: I know that's probably a terrible take for with a
- 40:27Speaker 2: lot of people. And uh So, anyway, I'm sorry about
- 40:31Speaker 2: that to the Beatle fans and Paul McCartney fans, and
- 40:34Speaker 2: just I wouldn't never I was invited twice to go
- 40:37Speaker 2: see Paul McCartney. I'm just like, no, I'm good.
- 40:42Speaker 3: If they didn't hear your apology because they already turned
- 40:44Speaker 3: off the radio.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Is that what it is? Okay, well I'm sorry you
- 40:47Speaker 1: turned off the radio.
- 40:48Speaker 2: But all right, let's get back to uh because I
- 40:51Speaker 2: know John wanted us to talk about this, uh I
- 40:54Speaker 2: you versus UK basketball this upcoming season, so you hatake
- 40:59Speaker 2: on football. Uh See, I don't think this has abaite
- 41:02Speaker 2: at all. I think this is clearly a win by
- 41:05Speaker 2: twenty eight points for UK basketball.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I'll give you win about twenty eight ridiculous.
- 41:11Speaker 1: No, it is ridiculous.
- 41:12Speaker 2: I'm just messing with because you're so so uh really
- 41:17Speaker 2: over the top ridiculous about your football team.
- 41:20Speaker 3: The difference is I can be chesty about this football team.
- 41:23Speaker 3: You haven't earned the right under Mark Pope.
- 41:25Speaker 1: To be jud You haven't.
- 41:27Speaker 2: You haven't been an IU football fan except for the
- 41:30Speaker 2: last nine months. Okay, well, well, I I'd.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Rather see proof of that.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I wish I could get on Google right now and
- 41:41Speaker 2: look that up to see if I could see proof
- 41:43Speaker 2: of you for you. I got picked Kentucky right football game?
- 41:49Speaker 2: All right, basketball, let's be realistic. I would say UK
- 41:52Speaker 2: would win probably ten or twelve points.
- 41:57Speaker 3: I'd probably go a little less than that eight, But yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 3: I do think Kentucky would win. I just think overall,
- 42:04Speaker 3: it's a better roster. Kentucky's deeper than Indiana's gonna be. Now,
- 42:08Speaker 3: Indiana's got some They've got some interesting pieces. I think
- 42:11Speaker 3: Mark Marcus Burton to point guard Igatolu, that big guy
- 42:15Speaker 3: from SMU is a massive, massive man. I think he's
- 42:19Speaker 3: gonna be a really big player for us. But yeah, ultimately,
- 42:22Speaker 3: I think with the depth and the overall talent Kentucky
- 42:25Speaker 3: would take that. We'll find out. We'll get to find
- 42:30Speaker 3: that one out though.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll definitely get to find out now with the
- 42:36Speaker 2: because you're right, you weren't here when mom Chilovich committed
- 42:39Speaker 2: to Kentucky. What do you think that meant to Mark
- 42:43Speaker 2: Pope and UK basketball this upcoming season?
- 42:46Speaker 3: I mean, it saved the whole offseason, right, I mean that.
- 42:50Speaker 3: I don't think it goes without saying that you that's
- 42:53Speaker 3: the guy you needed to bring in. That was a
- 42:55Speaker 3: guy you had to bring in. The fan base was desperate,
- 42:58Speaker 3: the roster was desperate, Coach Pope was desperate. I mean,
- 43:01Speaker 3: so getting him locked down and getting him into the
- 43:04Speaker 3: fold I think was a massive thing. And that's gonna
- 43:06Speaker 3: open up the floor as well for other guys like
- 43:09Speaker 3: I mentioned on my show this morning, a guy like
- 43:11Speaker 3: Justin McBride. I think is gonna be really really good
- 43:14Speaker 3: for this team because of the edition of mom Chilovan.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yes, and because I think it's gonna help Malachai moreno,
- 43:23Speaker 2: even probably the most.
- 43:25Speaker 1: It's it's not gonna be just mom Chilovich.
- 43:28Speaker 2: And and with that, I really think that that'll put
- 43:32Speaker 2: at least two players in the first round draft for
- 43:35Speaker 2: next NBA draft, because it's not gonna be that strong
- 43:39Speaker 2: of a draft. I think it was smart for mom
- 43:42Speaker 2: Chilovich take the money play for a team that's gonna
- 43:45Speaker 2: he's gonna be quickly beloved by the fan base and
- 43:49Speaker 2: hopefully they have a nice run and number number three
- 43:52Speaker 2: or four. It's gonna get him an even maybe even
- 43:56Speaker 2: a lottery pick. We'll just see how the two uh
- 43:58Speaker 2: the season goes. But I mean, this could be a
- 44:01Speaker 2: lottery pick for Malchi moreno, this could be a lottery
- 44:04Speaker 2: pick for mom Chilovich. It's just I think it was
- 44:08Speaker 2: a smart decision from that standpoint.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I just really enjoy how this team's built.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I know it was. It's kind of similar to last year,
- 44:17Speaker 3: but not really because you have more point guard depth.
- 44:20Speaker 3: I think Zoom Diallo is gonna be awesome to watch.
- 44:22Speaker 3: I don't know why I feel that, but yeah, there's
- 44:25Speaker 3: just a lot of pieces on this team I think
- 44:27Speaker 3: can contribute night in and night out, and that's something
- 44:30Speaker 3: you haven't really had for the last couple of years.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well, and I'm looking forward to it. I think, listen,
- 44:38Speaker 2: what season do you think the big Blue Nation is
- 44:42Speaker 2: going to be looking forward to more football or basketball?
- 44:45Speaker 3: Basketball. Do you really think basketball and answer will be
- 44:48Speaker 3: the exact same one hundred years out of one hundred
- 44:52Speaker 3: unless you got Billy Gillespie coaching basketball and you've got
- 44:56Speaker 3: will Stein going ten and two, that's it.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Well, I'm to a point where I'm just I'm not
- 45:02Speaker 2: certain about it. I really feel like there it's gonna
- 45:06Speaker 2: be a lot of people that are gonna be looking forward.
- 45:07Speaker 1: To the football.
- 45:09Speaker 2: So just because it's it's new coach, new players, new
- 45:13Speaker 2: all kinds of stuff, I think in the beginning it'll be.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Man, I almost picked football.
- 45:19Speaker 2: More than I picked basketball, purely because of all the
- 45:22Speaker 2: newness and all the excitement around, all the different recruits
- 45:25Speaker 2: that are coming in, some of the most four star
- 45:29Speaker 2: players coming into Kentucky. You got a football quarterback that's
- 45:33Speaker 2: supposed to be really lighting it up right now. We'll
- 45:36Speaker 2: see how it goes, but it's a tough at the
- 45:38Speaker 2: end of the day. Oh, I agree with you there.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I think I'm talking about before the season starts, not
- 45:44Speaker 2: after the season starts, because I think you're right. Once
- 45:46Speaker 2: the season starts, it's it's gonna come to fruition. We
- 45:48Speaker 2: got a tough road to go because of how tough
- 45:50Speaker 2: the schedule is. All right, we got to take a
- 45:52Speaker 2: break hour two. Coming back, we got to talk about uh,
- 45:56Speaker 2: you know, we hadn't talked about Costa Rica, so we'll
- 45:58Speaker 2: talk about him as soon as we get back.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Stay right there. Our two are just cats.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Coming right up.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett, our number
- 46:22Speaker 1: two and Just the Cats.
- 46:23Speaker 2: My name is Michael Bennett, fible two four one four
- 46:25Speaker 2: fourteen fifty one. Text in on the Whiskey Thief text line,
- 46:28Speaker 2: or you can tweet me it's Just the Cat Radio.
- 46:31Speaker 5: Uh.
- 46:31Speaker 2: We'll get to a couple of these text messages here.
- 46:33Speaker 2: New winter this year, Michael Chestnut, have you looked at
- 46:37Speaker 2: this picture? I mean, it's it's creepy. How well a
- 46:43Speaker 2: I did on this one? It looks it looks like me,
- 46:46Speaker 2: except I don't have that bad of a receding hairline.
- 46:49Speaker 1: My hairline's not that bad.
- 46:51Speaker 3: I'm getting pulled up.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Okay, all right then that's what she said. Uh, okay,
- 46:57Speaker 2: well good. Uh you didn't have to take that viager
- 46:59Speaker 2: for the uh what is it? Uh not motion sickness,
- 47:04Speaker 2: but uh height sickness.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Huh, Michael, this is fantastic. Okay, fine, very well done. Yeah,
- 47:14Speaker 3: that one is well done. I would I would agree
- 47:16Speaker 3: with that.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Ohio guys said, did scootspend the past five weeks doing
- 47:21Speaker 2: a sabbatical in Illinois like Trevor Kelsey did for two
- 47:25Speaker 2: years before he returned to the Big ex No, that
- 47:28Speaker 2: is it easy. No, I think there's more to this,
- 47:35Speaker 2: and I have a feeling I know what it is.
- 47:37Speaker 2: There is there is Okay, I yeah, thanks, Ohio guy.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't want to know. And then
- 47:44Speaker 1: let's just leave it at that.
- 47:46Speaker 2: One person said, the worst thing about I you being
- 47:49Speaker 2: good in football is fans like Scoots who didn't know
- 47:52Speaker 2: what a first down was two years ago, taking all
- 47:56Speaker 2: reckless like that.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Hilarious, hilarious case for Texter, I have always been a
- 48:07Speaker 4: Steelers fan as well, so I've grown accustomed to first down.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Okay, all right, then I did enjoy that one.
- 48:14Speaker 2: I'll all have to say, let's let's let's oh my goodness,
- 48:18Speaker 2: let me get to make sure I get to the
- 48:20Speaker 2: right one here. Uh this Textter said, the theme from
- 48:24Speaker 2: Taxi is the most feel good song ever.
- 48:28Speaker 3: I don't know if I know what that is the
- 48:31Speaker 3: theme from Taxi. I don't think I've ever seen it.
- 48:33Speaker 5: And and and.
- 48:36Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's it's a nice song.
- 48:38Speaker 2: I would have to say, as far as TV, this
- 48:42Speaker 2: could be a whole subject on its own, the best
- 48:46Speaker 2: TV theme songs.
- 48:48Speaker 1: And I didn't.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Wisconsin guy clearly is a Taxi fan, And I would
- 48:55Speaker 2: have to say probably. There's two feel good theme songs
- 49:02Speaker 2: that I always loved one better say it all right,
- 49:08Speaker 2: hold on, hold on. One was when I was a kid.
- 49:10Speaker 2: You won't know this one. It was w Karence p
- 49:13Speaker 2: and Cincinnati. That was always my feel good song. And
- 49:18Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm gonna say it or not,
- 49:20Speaker 2: but to me, the most feel good TV show song
- 49:25Speaker 2: was the theme from Cheers. Okay, so that do you
- 49:29Speaker 2: feel the same way? Absolute, I'm surprised. I didn't think
- 49:32Speaker 2: you would say Cheers.
- 49:33Speaker 3: I mean, honestly, I don't know how you could hear
- 49:35Speaker 3: that song and not be in a great mood like
- 49:38Speaker 3: it just it's it's great. It's a great.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Theme exactly because everybody knows your name. I mean, come
- 49:44Speaker 2: on that. I always thought Woody Harrelson was singing that
- 49:48Speaker 2: song by the way.
- 49:49Speaker 3: It sounds like him. Maybe you can make this connection
- 49:52Speaker 3: for me. So I'm watching, I don't think it. I
- 49:56Speaker 3: think it was the Brazil Norway game yesterday, not not
- 49:59Speaker 3: the Mexico England game, but the Brazil Norway game. Woody
- 50:03Speaker 3: Harrelson was there with Chris Rock.
- 50:10Speaker 1: That's a weird conversation.
- 50:12Speaker 3: So you can't explain to me either, because that was
- 50:14Speaker 3: a weird starting to see together.
- 50:16Speaker 2: No, I mean every time I think of Woody Harrelson,
- 50:19Speaker 2: I see him with Matthew McConaughey. I mean in in
- 50:23Speaker 2: a Hackey set, not being Hackey.
- 50:24Speaker 3: I mean I try to think rack my brain and think,
- 50:27Speaker 3: has Woody and Chris Rock ever been in anything together?
- 50:30Speaker 3: And I'm not that I think of.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I don't know. So that's what you're watching. You're you're
- 50:35Speaker 2: more apt to watch. I would love to know what
- 50:37Speaker 2: the European everybody outside of the United States fans think
- 50:41Speaker 2: of how United States TV always has to pan over
- 50:46Speaker 2: to uh where the celebrities are sitting because they don't
- 50:50Speaker 2: do that in Europe. Do they like if if England
- 50:53Speaker 2: is playing Spain, do you think that the producer is
- 50:58Speaker 2: out there, let's find celebrity he's in the crowd, do you.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Really because people care about that stuff, You're you're one
- 51:05Speaker 3: of the few weirdos that don't like that weirdos.
- 51:08Speaker 2: I want to watch the sport. I don't want to
- 51:09Speaker 2: see who's sitting in the stands. Yeah, but sometimes there's
- 51:12Speaker 2: a break in the sport and you need to fill
- 51:15Speaker 2: time somehow.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, whatever you say.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Even if I was during the break, or like, even
- 51:20Speaker 3: if it was during play when they were kicking the
- 51:22Speaker 3: ball around, they wanted to go to the crowd, I
- 51:24Speaker 3: still loved seeing Woody Harrelson and Chris Rock sitting next
- 51:27Speaker 3: to each other. I wasn't sitting there thinking, get me
- 51:30Speaker 3: back to the game.
- 51:31Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking, Giving me back to the freaking game.
- 51:34Speaker 2: I don't want to watch these stinking people there there,
- 51:36Speaker 2: and all they want is their little attention on TV.
- 51:38Speaker 1: So uh, all right, So let.
- 51:41Speaker 2: Me ask you this, what do you think besides Cheers,
- 51:44Speaker 2: what is another iconic TV series song that you always
- 51:49Speaker 2: feel good about?
- 51:50Speaker 3: Fullhouse?
- 51:52Speaker 1: Really?
- 51:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I couldn't even tell you what that song
- 51:55Speaker 2: sounds like.
- 51:56Speaker 3: I don't know why I can't think of it.
- 51:58Speaker 2: To me, would be probably the eighties version of magnum
- 52:02Speaker 2: piare Uh, mash is a good one. That's a good one.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Is there another iconic song that?
- 52:13Speaker 1: Uh?
- 52:15Speaker 5: Uh?
- 52:16Speaker 2: Wisconsin guy said alf is a great one. Did you
- 52:19Speaker 2: ever watch the TV show ALF?
- 52:20Speaker 3: I did watch. I can't think of the theme song,
- 52:23Speaker 3: but I definitely watched ALF.
- 52:24Speaker 2: YEA, yeah, that's a good one. Uh. There's got to
- 52:28Speaker 2: be more than just that.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I mean, I.
- 52:32Speaker 3: Think isn't it all catered to what you like? Though?
- 52:35Speaker 3: Because like I would show for this question, I would
- 52:38Speaker 3: say the Survivor theme song, it's amazing.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Oh see you.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Go, I resonate with Survivor and a lot of people don't.
- 52:45Speaker 2: Well see and I would probably say the office, Yeah, exactly,
- 52:56Speaker 2: everybody knows your name. See there we go back to
- 52:58Speaker 2: cheers again. All right, so let's let's talk about it.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Cognitive neuroscientist doctor Jacob Jolige analyze what makes a song
- 53:08Speaker 2: uplifting and discovered this Are you ready for it? What
- 53:12Speaker 2: is the perfect feel good track? And here's what it needs.
- 53:16Speaker 2: It needs a faster tempo. They say that it needs
- 53:21Speaker 2: one hundred and forty to one hundred and fifty beats
- 53:24Speaker 2: per minute, written in a major key, with positive lyrics.
- 53:32Speaker 2: Using that formula, what do you think the most positive
- 53:38Speaker 2: feel good song of all time is?
- 53:40Speaker 1: And this and get this.
- 53:43Speaker 2: This is an actual study that happened, and I never
- 53:47Speaker 2: dreamed they would spend money to go do a study
- 53:50Speaker 2: on I need to know what the greatest feel good
- 53:53Speaker 2: song in the history of music is?
- 53:56Speaker 1: Would you like to try and guess or you just
- 53:58Speaker 1: want me to tell you the entire list.
- 54:00Speaker 3: I'll tell you I think should be number one, And
- 54:03Speaker 3: I also put it out there that you're going to
- 54:05Speaker 3: absolutely hate my answer.
- 54:08Speaker 1: I probably am.
- 54:10Speaker 3: I would go with Dancing Queen.
- 54:14Speaker 2: Wow, And you know what, You're exactly right. That is
- 54:19Speaker 2: the worst take ever.
- 54:20Speaker 3: Oh okay, I thought you were gonna tell me that
- 54:22Speaker 3: was number one. I was like, wait, really, it's actually
- 54:25Speaker 3: number two? Is it really?
- 54:28Speaker 2: Dancing Queen by Abba is number two as the most
- 54:32Speaker 2: uplifting and and feel good song ever written, according to
- 54:36Speaker 2: the study by doctor Jacob Joe. I'm gonna love number one.
- 54:40Speaker 2: You're on it there. I really can't believe you came
- 54:43Speaker 2: up with Dan. I would have never said Dancing Queen's
- 54:45Speaker 2: all right, are you ready for number one? Well, let's
- 54:50Speaker 2: should I start at ten and then go down? Let's
- 54:53Speaker 2: make it suspenseful. Okay, let's start with ten Walking on
- 54:57Speaker 2: Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Okay, so you're good with that. Yeah, so you're good
- 55:04Speaker 3: with that song, Okay, good. Next would be I Will
- 55:08Speaker 3: Survive by Gloria Gaynor. I can see why that made
- 55:12Speaker 3: the list. I can do without that one.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I'm right there with you.
- 55:15Speaker 2: I could probably, I can kind of understand Walking on Sunshine,
- 55:20Speaker 2: but I will survive.
- 55:21Speaker 1: No, I don't.
- 55:22Speaker 3: I don't.
- 55:23Speaker 2: All right, you're ready for number eight bond Jovi living
- 55:27Speaker 2: on a prayer.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Get it out of here.
- 55:30Speaker 2: See, I'm with you too. I was kind of like
- 55:31Speaker 2: that one, and then seven came up. I'm like, this
- 55:34Speaker 2: is even worse, Cindy Lauper. Girls just want to have fun.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Oh I gotta disagree with you on that one.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Oh really? So, oh really?
- 55:42Speaker 2: So you're out there on the wedding dance floor singing.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Girls just want to have fun. So you're out there
- 55:48Speaker 2: with all the bridesmaids hopefully trying to get a date.
- 55:50Speaker 1: All right. Number six The Monkeys. I'm a believer, perfect. See.
- 55:57Speaker 1: I get the lyrics.
- 55:58Speaker 2: I get it because they're a believer, even though they're
- 56:01Speaker 2: monkeying around. Because they're clearly called the Monkeys, but I
- 56:04Speaker 2: don't know if I necessarily buy that, all right? Number
- 56:07Speaker 2: five survivor I have the Tiger.
- 56:10Speaker 3: No get it out.
- 56:13Speaker 1: This is the one.
- 56:14Speaker 2: That I was really surprised about over all of them.
- 56:17Speaker 2: This is the number one song. I thought, this doesn't
- 56:20Speaker 2: make any sense to me. But number four as the
- 56:23Speaker 2: most feel good song is Billy Joel Uptown Girl.
- 56:28Speaker 3: If you would have said Billy Jean by Michael Jackson,
- 56:35Speaker 3: but I mean upbeating fun. I'm good.
- 56:39Speaker 2: We're strictly eighties Billy Joel, by the way, So just
- 56:43Speaker 2: let you know.
- 56:44Speaker 1: If you don't get that, go watch Step Brothers.
- 56:46Speaker 5: Uh.
- 56:46Speaker 1: Number three, I I I really thought you were gonna
- 56:50Speaker 1: say this song.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I really did, because we were talking about them early
- 56:54Speaker 2: in the show.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Uh.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Number three as the most feel good song is the
- 56:59Speaker 2: Beach Boys Good Vibrations.
- 57:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay.
- 57:03Speaker 2: And then of course number two Dancing Queen, which you
- 57:05Speaker 2: already picked by Abba the number one song as the
- 57:09Speaker 2: great the perfect feel good song that needs has a
- 57:13Speaker 2: tempo of one hundred and forty one hundred and fifty
- 57:15Speaker 2: beats per minute, written in a major key, and positive lyrics.
- 57:19Speaker 1: Are you ready? Number one is Queen Don't Stop Believing.
- 57:25Speaker 2: Don't Stop Me Now? Or don't Stop Me Now? Yeah,
- 57:30Speaker 2: that's the other one. I was kind of surprised Journey
- 57:32Speaker 2: wasn't in there Don't Stop Believing. So number one song
- 57:35Speaker 2: is Queen Don't Stop Me Now.
- 57:39Speaker 3: I guess I'm okay with it. I would have much
- 57:41Speaker 3: rather seen like for me when I'm thinking of feel
- 57:43Speaker 3: good songs and thinking of Queen Radio guys, Yeah, is
- 57:47Speaker 3: a much more feel good song to me than Don't
- 57:49Speaker 3: Stop Me Now.
- 57:51Speaker 2: But I'm having a good time. I'm having a good time.
- 57:55Speaker 2: And then so when he says right here to.
- 57:57Speaker 3: The beginning, the lyrics check out, everything checks out. I
- 58:00Speaker 3: can't be mad at it.
- 58:01Speaker 2: But is it because of the recency of Bahamian Rhapsody
- 58:05Speaker 2: and that was the final song in the movie? You
- 58:07Speaker 2: think that's the reason why that's I don't know. I mean,
- 58:10Speaker 2: this is a study. I'm with you ten years ago, now,
- 58:16Speaker 2: did it really? I guarantee you.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Wow.
- 58:19Speaker 2: I didn't realize it had been that long since that
- 58:22Speaker 2: movie had come out.
- 58:23Speaker 1: That was a great movie, all right, I know you're
- 58:25Speaker 1: looking at but.
- 58:28Speaker 2: So eight years, okay, eight years while it's almost been
- 58:32Speaker 2: ten years, never mind Wisconsin, guys said thirty years ago
- 58:36Speaker 2: was a springboard. That's why we all have all of
- 58:40Speaker 2: these talented players. This is another springboard. Silly to always
- 58:44Speaker 2: be comparing its fandom to other American sports.
- 58:50Speaker 3: I agree with you. I agree with the last part
- 58:53Speaker 3: of that because soccer. Soccer does kind of feel like
- 58:56Speaker 3: its own own entity. Whereas is it going to be
- 59:01Speaker 3: one of the biggest sports in America eventually? I fully
- 59:04Speaker 3: believe that. Will it ever get past the NFL? No,
- 59:07Speaker 3: it's just it's not. We We have just so many
- 59:10Speaker 3: more options in terms of our sports viewing than the
- 59:13Speaker 3: rest of the world.
- 59:14Speaker 5: Does.
- 59:15Speaker 3: I wonder how many sports Europe even has that are
- 59:18Speaker 3: televised or Asia? Yeah, how many sports they have that
- 59:21Speaker 3: are televised, Like, not nearly as many as US, I
- 59:23Speaker 3: guarantee you.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Asia, Well, they're very The NBA is really popular over there,
- 59:29Speaker 2: is all right, You got baseball, it's really popular over there.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Golf, that's right, Golf is.
- 59:36Speaker 2: I don't know about tennis, but football, I would say
- 59:41Speaker 2: is probably one of the least popular sports over there.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Ping Pong's probably they're in a.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Ooo, that's a good one.
- 59:48Speaker 3: They're probably locked into like the ping pong World Series.
- 59:52Speaker 2: I mean, just watch Forrest Gumpan you'll learn it from that.
- 59:54Speaker 2: So sorry, I listen. I love ping pong. That's one
- 59:59Speaker 2: of my favorit things to play. Can't we have a
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: ping pong table at our house? I love playing ping pong? Okay,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: thirty goo years ago. I'm sorry you're thinking I left
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: mama with that fella who might be my daddy at
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: the Fulton County Line.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: Wow?
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Is that the song I'm thinking of from Joey Chestnuts?
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Sounds like the lyrics? Oh it does.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not familiar with that. But Zappa fan? Who's
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: a Zappa fan? Do you like Frank Zappa? Yeah, he's
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: all right, He's okay. One person said, Paul died in
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: the late sixties. You hate replacement.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Paul.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Playing drums is a musical talent. I agree with that
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: greatest drummer of all time? Me, really, you play the drums.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: This is the first time I ever heard this.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: You play the drums, well, not technically, but I was
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: a beast of a xylophone player, so I think the
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: skills would translate. You played the xylophone, yeah, rhythm back
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: in fifth grade. Oh, come on, you can't play the
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: xylophone anymore.
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: This is.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Can you really okay? I'll respect that.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Those guys in the bands that are playing the xylophone,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I think listen, I respect it. One person said fast
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: Car should be on that list. No, Cam really, no,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: that's not to me.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: That's not a song that makes me feel good. I
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: like the song. I think it's a good song.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: Will from South Central said give me Barney Miller and
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Sandford and Son for funkiness and One Day at a
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Time for uplifting music. There you go. Uh you don't
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: really these these are all seventy. I don't remember the
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Barney Miller one though. One Day at a Time. Uh yeah,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I kind of remember that one that was probably uplifting.
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Let's see.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: All Star is a happy song by Smash smash Mouth.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: That's a good song. I would agree with that one.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: That's a good one. Um let's see here. One person said,
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Michael and scoots back in rhythm. So glad I don't
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: have to suffer with Saul and Gigi anymore. I'm not
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: sure I'm talking about good opening themes to shows that
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: make you feel good. Go back and listen to the
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: Gary Shandling show theme. Not Larry Sanders, but his first show,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I don't remember that one. Married with Children theme always
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: makes me feel so good as well. That's a good
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: one right there. Robin marriage with Frank Sinatra. Yes, good, Yeah,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: that was a good one right there. A Different Strokes theme.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I don't remember the different Strokes theme. Yeah, yeah, but anyway,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: these are good ones.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I'm enjoying these all right. Here's one most upbeat.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Van Halen ain't talking bout love, ain't talking about love, Aaron.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I don't think I've heard that.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Oh you, that was David Lee Roth. So that's the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: David Lee Roth.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I will also say this, there is a Van Hagar
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: with Van Halen and Sammy Hagar song out there that
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: uh what is it? Go Higher and Higher straight upward Bound.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: And that's the video where they have the Air Force
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: the Blue Angels. I mean, that song is fantastic. That
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: gives me goosebumps every time I hear that song gives me. Okay,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: stop it now, do you know what song I'm talking about?
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Smart elec. Okay, I'm gonna look it up. During the break.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Uh ohio, guys, said Fresh pinc of bell Air and
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Saved by the bell Head ic other good one yeah?
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: Uh one one person? Ohio, guys know, did your son
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: ten Travis Kelsey's wedding.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: At MSG No?
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: No, I mean, uh, supposedly they had more celebrities at
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: their wedding than the.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Metcal Really, yeah, would would see. Here's the problem. You
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: have so many egos when you have an event like that.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Do you think some celebrities got pissed off because other
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: celebrities got better seats.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Than they got?
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: No?
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Why, I bet you there are celebrities out there that
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: are ticked off on this Monday morning because they went
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: to that ridiculous wedding and found out that I didn't
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: have great seats compared to somebody else out there.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure like that just inherent with humans
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: right to be dramatic in certain situations. I'm sure there
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: were some people like why does she get up there?
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Look at how gross she looks and all this stuff.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean you were at one of the
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: coolest weddings ever probably, so I wouldn't complain.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Okay, Uh, Michelle said, Jefferson's moving on up.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Okay, I can get behind that all right.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: So every time you go to the Bats game, they
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: always do that thing with the same bit every time,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: but I still enjoy Remember when they give people some
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: rand some random people some better seats at the Bats
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: game and they always play the theme song to Moving
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: On of the Jeffersons, Moving On Up? Do do you
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: not realize that that's what I think of every time?
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Wisconsin guy said fast Car is the saddest song ever.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: I think it's sad too.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: That would be another good topic. What is so so?
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: I'd like to know if if doctor Jacob Julidge went
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: out there and did a study on what is the
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: saddest song out there?
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: And do you like listening to sad songs.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: If I'm in the right mood. Now, let me put
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: this precursor out there that it's only with country. I
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: don't like sad songs with other genre. It's only country, you.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Don't, okay, huh?
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: I mean there are songs out there that make me
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: that are not necessarily written to be said, but they
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: make me a little sad because it takes me back
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: to a time sometimes, if that makes sense. Yeah, Like,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: for instance, there's a You're gonna cringe when I say this,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: but there is a Madonna song that always makes me
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: a little sad because it reminds me that's it exactly,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: because I go back and reflect if I only had
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: Bagger back then. Nos. No, It's a league of their own.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: And I always love that movie. And then when the
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: ending comes up, I always have to watch the credit
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: because I love those pictures of when they were filming
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: the movie, and it takes me back to the nineteen
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: eighties when that movie was filmed. I mean, I don't
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: this used to be my playground is the name of
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: the song by Madonna, and that always kind of when
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: I hear that song, it kind of makes me a
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: little sad because just that reminds me of back in
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: the eighties when I sometimes I wish I was back there.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: But uh uh, let's see here, Josh said, uh uh,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: that's the reason I'm on vacation. I went to Travvy
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: and Taytay's wedding.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I should is Josh Wall.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: You know, Josh texted me last week and I haven't
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: heard back from him. I texted him back, he didn't
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: text me back. He's gonna take care one of my cars,
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: by the way, I'm hoping, so yeah, yeah, we'll see that,
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: We gotta take a break. I'll get back to your Texas.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Keep him coming in because I'm enjoying these uh uh
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: these songs. I knew this would be maybe something that
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: would be somewhat popular with everybody to talk about. But
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: send me more of them, and uh, I'll talk about
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: him on the air. So anyway, what is the happiest song?
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: But you know you might want to add what is
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: the saddest song out there that you think?
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: So?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Anyway, Fable two three four fourteen fifty you want to
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: call Fable two four one four fourteen fifty if you
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: want to text in stay right there.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: More just the CAATs coming up.
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: We were singing bye bye this American pie. Don't Michelley
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: to let the LEVI was drying them, the boys making
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: whisty ri sing in this will be the day that
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: I die. This will be the day that I die.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Fable two three one four fourteen fifty. Uh is that right? Yeah?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Three one four All of a sudden you just had
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: a No, that's the four one four, that's it. The
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Whiskey Thief text line four one four fifty.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Uh. Dreams by Van Halen is the song I was
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: thinking about. I think so you don't like that song.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Well, so I don't like that song for a completely
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: different reason. So what right, what's the reason we play
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: that song over at the other station?
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: And I thought it was a country music station.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: It is. We play a lot of southern rock as well, So.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: That's not Southern rock.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Definitely.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Van Halen is California hard rock. That is not Southern rock.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Dreams it can't I'm telling you it's not the can't
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: be playing van Halen.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: That's not Southern rock.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Southern rock to me is thirty eight Special, Molly Hatchet,
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Charlie Daniel's band.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I mean, come on, you've.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Oh, okay, that's Molly Hatchet.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: That's okay, that's that's a great song.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: That's the song I'm thinking.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Alman Brothers Southern rock.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: I mean, come on, you're telling me Molly Hatchet that
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: song you don't like that's a great song.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: I don't like it only because the end of it,
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: there's like, for whatever reason, the song in our system
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: over there at the end has like fifteen twenty seconds
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: of just nothing. So it's always a really bad look.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: I'm always every time that song's on, I'm freaking out
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: when it's coming to the end, like what happened to
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: my audio? Oh wait, it's just that goofy song with
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: a lot of dead air.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Oh okay, is that what it is? All right?
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: Well?
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Ohio guys said, Happy by Faarll should have made the
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: top ten upbeat Songs, Overrated overrated kids. Okay, all right, then,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: well I don't think you liked that song. Uh, all
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: Star is a happy song by smash Mouth. I read
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: that in Guards the Dance is a good sad song. True,
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: all right, so all right, let me get to that
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: in a second. Wisconsin guys said, was cal at the wedding?
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: How about world Wide West? I don't know saddest songs?
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Are you ready for? What Rolling Stone says is the
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: saddest songs of all time?
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Ten is Hank Williams. I'm so lonesome I could cry.
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: I believe that. Yeah.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Number nine is Alison Chain's Nutshell. I don't know if
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: I know that song. Number eight is John Prine, who
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: I dearly love. Sam Stone. A lot of his songs
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: are sad, they really are, and in uh it's about Vietnam.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I think if I remember correctly. Number let's see where
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: are we now? Number seven Pearl jam Black.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: Okay, I don't.
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: I don't know if I know that song Number six
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: is George Jones. He stopped loving her today. A lot
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: of George Jones in here. That's a good one.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Huh.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: He's a sad singer too. I like George Jones.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: If there is any country, old country you would make
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: me listen to, If you made me listen to George Jones,
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: I'd be good with that. I mean, I love that
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: White Lightning. I love that song.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Number five, Nirvana, Something in the Way Nirvana is another one.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Uh number four. I couldn't agree with this more. And
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: I hope I never have to listen to song again.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: This is one song I never want to listen As
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: soon as I hear it on, It's like, dude, turn
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: it off. It's Harry Chapin Cats in the Cradle, and
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: it is a sad song. Sah, oh yeah, a father
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: reflecting back when his son was young and he didn't
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: pay attention. Now his son's not paying attention to his dad.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Oh it's a very sad song. Oh yeah, Catch in
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the Cradle in and a Man on my Own. It's
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: like just siting a song to the moon. Okay, I
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: just I can't stay. You want me sing that again?
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I'm glad to number three. I'm trying to make it
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: even worse for you. Okay, cradle ball, Uh number three?
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Everybody hurts?
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: Oh god, how's number one? Top that?
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: Uh?
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: There's two of them. Number two is nine inch nail hurt.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: And then there's number one. And I agree with this
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: saddest song ever Eric Clapton tears in Heaven, the song
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: he wrote about his son that died infant son, Oh
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: my gosh, and people were playing it over and over
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: and over. I like Eric Clapton, but when you play
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: a song over and over on the radio, it makes
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: me hate it for life. I'm just sorry about that,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: and I'm sorry about what happened to he and his
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: then wife, but I just please stop playing that song.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: That was horrible. But there you go.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: What do you think about Mark Pope going to Turkey
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: this past weekend?
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: I see, this is where being out of the game
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: for the last five weeks has hurt me, because my
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: initial reaction is why, Well.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: He went to see Team USA play in the World Cup,
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: So that's one reason why and Team USA played. Uh well,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: you pronounced Nicola. I would say cursedoritche You're probably right,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: but I like saying Costa Rica.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Okay, it's it's Costa Rica.
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: And if he came to Kentucky, I think their first
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: trip should be to Costa Rica. Now they're saying Kristoritch
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: is going to commit to UCLA, I.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Don't That's why. I don't understand why why.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: Well, nobody's confirmed it yet though, has it been confirmed,
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: not that I've seen anything.
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: So from everything I've read, he's waiting. He's putting all
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: his concentration on the FEBA when what and their team
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: playing and all that, and really once that tournament's over,
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: he'll officially he'll commit.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: And what what do you think about the amount of
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: money that UCLA has offered twelve million dollars for a
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: two year contract?
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I see. I like that. I think that's how it
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: should be.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: And if you're asking why would he stay two years
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: in college whether it's a simple reason. The kid just
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: turned seventeen April thirtieth, so he's got to stay in
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: college for two years because the UH Union for the
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: NBA won't allow any player to be drafted into the
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: NBA until they're nineteen years old. So he's got two
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: years until he can be drafted into the NBA, and
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: he just put thirty seven points against his team USA.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: He's just got to be out of school for me,
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: because Cooper Flag wasn't nineteen?
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Is that what it is? I thought it was nineteen.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: You have to be one year removed from high school. Well, Coop,
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: that doesn't make sense because Cooper wasn't. Remember we heard
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: that old. I thought he he's so young.
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: Barbar bar Yeah, yeah, I know, but uh, I can't
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: think of a worse place to have to go for
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: a weekend though.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Would you want to go to Turkey?
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: No?
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: Yes, I do have some family there. But oh, do
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: you really I've told you that my aunt. I don't
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: remember this. Your your aunt is from Turkey?
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Remember when I was going up to Ohio for my
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: cousins graduation?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: I do, Now I do? Now you are correct. So
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: what language do they speak? Is there their own language
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: in Turkey? Yeah?
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: I think it's Turkey?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Is there? Really? Okay? Wow? Is okay? I didn't I
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: didn't realize that. Well, good for them.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: You were right. They have to be nineteen during the
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: calendar I thought it was during the calendar year of
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: the draft and be at least one year remove from.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but he's got two years. Yeah, is there a chance?
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: I mean, you think that's a done deal? Is what
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: you're telling me? Seems like what I mean? But then again,
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: I like, I'm not. I haven't been plugged into the
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: whole thing. I haven't been paying attention to this recruitment.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: But from everything I've read, and you can correct me
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: if I'm wrong in this, But didn't Pope offer him
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: two years ten million? So that's not that far off
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: of what he's gonna They're not far off badly you
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: think about I'm getting an extra two million and I
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: get to live in La. Okay, pretty pretty easy decision,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: it is, really So it's absolutely to live in La.
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: Of Lexington, Kentucky. He's heard of l A.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I bet you he's heard of UK more than he's
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: heard of U C.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: L A though probably so so.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know, I I because I got
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: I try to take my bias out. Would I want
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: to live in Lexington over La? No, I can be
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: completely honest about But I got the rest of my
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: life to be a part of that. Now, Do I
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: want the real college experience? He's going to get more
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: of a real college experience in Lexington than he is
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: going to get at U c l A. Is he
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: going to get a bigger fan base that's going to
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: love him over tonight in U c l A.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: No? Is he going to get that at you Can? Yes?
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: So I kind of put the weights and balances. That's
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: where I tend to believe that UK kind of wins out.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: From that standpoint. If you've got to go to college
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: and you got that, you have two years. Do I
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: want the real college experience or do I just want
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: to act like I'm already in the NBA? What would
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: you think? I mean, what would you want take take
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: away at being UK? Just pretend it's somebody out there random,
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: a random team. Would you be picking UCLA over that
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: other team?
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: I think going to a place like UCLA gets you
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: more prepared for the NBA and just maybe not so
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: much wee was it really not so much the playing
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: style and all that, but at least the lifestyle and
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: what you're going to be living like you're you're traveling
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: to big cities every single night when you're in the elite.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but again they don't have the fan base. For instance,
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: like this, like a Kansas, like a North Carolina, like
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: a Duke, like a UK.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: They just don't have that kind of fan base.
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: So if I'm looking at I gotta be in college
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: for two years now, This is what I really want
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: to know. Do people outside of Kentucky, like, like I
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: look at Kansas and think, man, I can't imagine living
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: in Kansas for two years and going to Kansas University
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: for two years. Do people outside of Kentucky look at
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Lexington the same way and they or Louisville for that fact,
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Do they look at Kentucky in general think man, I
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: can't imagine living in the middle of the United States
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: in a city like that, guarantee?
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Do you think so? Really? Yeah, that's what I worry about.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: They don't realize that Kentucky is far prettier than people
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: give it credit for.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: I mean there's I think there's lots of states like that,
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: But I mean, if you if we want to break
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: it down truly, there's probably fifteen twenty states that everybody
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: just has these bad stereotypes against. And I do think
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: it's probably so.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Yes, Like, for instance, I was in Idaho in the
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: state of Washington last week, and I can tell you
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: right now. I thought where we were in Spokane, Washington
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: and in Cordelaine, Idaho, absolutely beautiful. Never dreamed there would
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: be immaculate golf course there or the resort type living there,
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: and it was to me it was kind of like
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: a Gatlinburg on steroids. And I would go back there
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: in a second. It was just unbelievably beautiful. And before
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: I went I'm like, yeah, what are we doing going
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: to Spokane, Washington. I mean, I'd go back in a
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: second now at this point, and.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: I just kind of feel like maybe that's the same way.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: You didn't say anything about them.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: No, no, No, Cordelaine is in Idaho. Oh, I loved it.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: I would go back to Cordelaine in a second.
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: There.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: No, it was packed.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: I mean it was a huge resort area that has
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: all kinds of people from California moving in.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: I mean, no, it was.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: It was just unbelievably Yeah, Quartelaine, Idaho was beautiful, and
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: I'd go back there in a second.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: If there's one state that I could never picture myself
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: living in, it would be Idaho. No, not me.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Uh, it would be either between North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa,
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: and Wisconsin. Those are the free states I would know,
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: and probably Alaska.
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: For North Dakotas, I'll echo everything you just said. I mean,
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: North Dakota is freaking awesome, and is it really in
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: the summertime, Wisconsin rocks.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think I could take the winner.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: And as far as Alaska goes, I could not take
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: the winner with no sunlight. That would drive me nuts. Yeah,
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I couldn't. I couldn't do that. So all right, we
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: gotta take our last break. When we come back. I
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: do want to talk a little bit about Otega always
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: uh debut in the summer League for the NBA, and
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: then uk Man. This this one base ball player. We
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: just got to hope he comes to UK we'll see.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: And then there's a new rule that the NBA is
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: testing in the summer games. I I don't know if
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I like this, but we'll talk about as soon as
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: we get back. Stay right there. One more segment of
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: just the Cats coming right now.
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: It was CCL the.
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: Yankee Doodle went to town a riding on a pony,
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: stuck a feather in.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: His captain called it mccarony, Yankee.
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: Doodle, keep it up, You're proud of yourself, aren't you? Geez?
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: All right, well, there's some breaking news just to let
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: you know. Belgium has been granted the right to appeal
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: against FIFA's decision to suspend the one game banhanded to
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: US team's Star Balligan less than twenty four hours before
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: the team's Round of sixty match for the United States.
- 1:23:13Speaker 3: Per the f that's ridiculous. This is absolutely ridiculous.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: What do you think of that?
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: Are they going to and if they do, will will
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Belgium become the most hated country within the United States.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: We have ten hours until the game and we're still
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: debating this. I mean, this is ridiculous. What's done is done.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: He's gonna play. If he doesn't play, then lord, I
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: hope we go out there and beat their ass four
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: to one. I would love nothing more than having to
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: play without him, because they're big cry babies, and today's
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: April Fools Day and and us to still win the game,
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: that would be incredible.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: Well, it's gonna be interesting to see if they do
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: or not should they? I mean, come on, don't don't
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: you want to play a team to move to the
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: next level with all their men ready to play or
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: do you want to play them a man down and
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: win a game that you probably would have been a
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: lot closer if they had had their entire roster.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: I mean, I think we all know the answer to this.
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: It's the same answer for everybody. You want to beat
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: them at full throw. I don't no doubt about it.
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: It makes it that much sweeter. But like, I mean,
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: that's and that's where I'm struggling with this whole thing,
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: Like why are we being such big cry babies about it?
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: You were gonna face the US with or without Bolligan
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: either way, and you should because you're Belgium beat the
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: US with Bolligan either way. I mean, I don't understand
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: why they're being such big babies about it, but I
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: hope they get what's coming to them.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I don't get it either.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Uh Ohhi, guys said stand by Eminem might be the
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: saddest song of all time, pretty sad one.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I don't know that song, is it? Really?
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: I'll hit you with another one, The Little Girl by
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: John Michael Montgomery Battle Your Heart and Half.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: Just the title alone, I can tell you I don't
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: want to listen to that song really. And that's the
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: guy from Kentucky. Right, he's from Kentucky. Is it a
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: true song?
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: I would imagine?
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: So really? Oh my gosh, man.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: One person said, welcome back to the radio wave, Scoots.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: That's Patrick. Yeah, so there you go.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: H One person said, tell Laurie I love her by
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: Keith Whitley as sad as all can.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: Be a lot of.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Is it?
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: I mean you think that was his mental state his
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: entire music career is that he was just sad, because
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: clearly he did struggle with depression. Why, though, why does country?
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Why does it work in country? Because you're right, it does.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: It does because I mean, I think it's the storytelling aspect.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: I mean, you don't really get stories being told through
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: music the way you do with country with other genres.
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: One person said, we need waffle House to pull up
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: and take care of Belgium. That's right, Lord knows they
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: aren't ready to handle the smoke from waffle House waffle today.
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: This guy, now, I'll eat him tomorrow when we get
- 1:26:27Speaker 3: that sweet Nick.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: Oh really, even if it's American major, you're not going
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: to have a Belgian waffle.
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: I'll have one when we beat them.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Okay, good? Wow?
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: Did you see where the NBA is testing the one
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: free throw rule at the summer games. With this rule
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: any I think it's dumb too. Any foul that typically
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: results in one, two, or three free throws under the
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: standard NBA rules will instead result in a single free
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: throw attempt. That attempt will be worth the same total
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: number of points as the free throws are replaces.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: Why are we doing this?
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: This is so dumb.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: Are we trying to save time and games? I mean,
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: what is the point of this rule potential change?
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: Basketball games do not last that long as it is
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: exactly NBA game goes what two and a half hours? Right,
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: I don't think we need to shave any time off
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: of basketball games. This is something that will never be
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: in the actual NBA. It won't have a trickle down
- 1:27:26Speaker 3: effect to college basketball because there's that dumb of a rule,
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: one of the honestly one of the dumbest rules that
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: I have ever seen and acted.
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: I know it's just summer league and at the end
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: of the day, it doesn't really matter, and maybe we
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: are trying to save time in summer league games, but still,
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: this is this is dumb.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: I saw this rule change and I truly did not
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: understand why you would even consider only thing. The first
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: thing I thought of was Shaquille O'Neal. He probably would
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: have had a lot more points though the one out
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: of one thousand times he made a free he made
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: a throw because he would probably get double or triple
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: the amount that he would have had before because he
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: could not chewt free throws.
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: But I I don't listen.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: The changes that they've made in baseball for time have
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: made sense, and I think they have worked out really
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: well for baseball. Football doesn't really need to save any
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: kind of time other than on the time unts to
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: review plays, and that is where basketball needs to change.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: On reviewing plays. It needs to be a lot quicker
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: and handle more swiftly. But to do this for free throws,
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, so I truly
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: did not get this at all, but it does.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: It just doesn't make sense. It's like football saying, hey,
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: that first extra point you kick, if you make it,
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: the rest of them for the rest of the game,
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: or well, you don't have to kick it.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: They're just exactly yeah, exactly. That's a great description in
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: a way to compare it because you're exactly right.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: Or it's like it, or it's like in golf, you
- 1:29:04Speaker 3: pipe one down the middle of the fairway, Oh, you
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: get an automatic birdie because you hit one straight. Good job.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: Or I made a long putt. Listen, I made a
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: fifty foot puck. So for every other putt for the
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: rest of the day that's fifty foot or longer or
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: good it's in yep. And so I don't get this.
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: I really don't. The reason they're doing this just doesn't
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: make any sense at all. Are the calv Cleveland Klavilliers
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: really saving a roster spot for Bronnie?
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: They should bad?
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: Why why if they are, and they take Bronnie jeans?
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: Whoa you said, Bronni? No, okay, yeah, no, I'm talking
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: Bronnie Jane.
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: I don't know why I heard lebron there.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, they're not, because there's a
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: lot of reports of people saying that the Calves are
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: saying saving a spot for him.
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: That I mean, that's just bad business for Bronnie. Like,
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: at some point, you've got to get out from your
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: father's way. It's like I said on Wednesday when I
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: joined you, at some point you've got to throw your
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: bird out of the nest and see if it can fly,
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: and BRONI should want to do that more so than anybody, Like, Yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: his dad's one of the greatest of all time. But
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: isn't it hot time you start making your own name
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: in this league?
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, you're right about that.
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Otega had his first game over the weekend, his debut
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: in the Summer League for Oklahoma City and as a
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: starter for Oklahoma. In the twenty five minutes he played,
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: he scored eight points in seven shot attempts, along with
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: four rebounds to assist two seals.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: I thought that was a great debut for him.
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: Good debut, yeah, I mean, and yeah that one play
- 1:30:42Speaker 3: that was floating around on Twitter where yees save the
- 1:30:45Speaker 3: ball and bounds to his teammates ye and then sprints
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: down the floor and all of a sudden he's got
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: a wide open dunk. I mean, that was awesome.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: Can he be an impact player? Can he be one
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: of those you think so? I hope so. I do
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: worry about it.
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: No, don't think he ever gets to superstar status. But
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: can he be a guy, a second, third, fourth option
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: on a team? Absolutely?
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: Uh. UK baseball commit Grayson Willoughby out of Louisville Trinity
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: was named the twenty twenty six Max Preps National Baseball
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: Player of the Year.
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: God, this young man has potential just be an All Star.
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: He finished number one nationally, don't you no? I did
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: not know that the number one national team. Their wholes
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: is going d one from one to nine.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: Gosh, holy cow, that's unbelievable. He was twelve to zero
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: as a pitcher, had an ERA of zero point sixty seven.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: Did you heard me right?
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: Zero point sixty seven with ninety six strikeout sixty two innings.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: He also hit for sixty seven for the season.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Wait, unbelievable ninety six strikeouts And you heard me right?
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: Ninety six strikeout yep, yep. How do you like that?
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: That's insane?
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Both, I mean that seems like that's the guy. Well,
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: UK needs it in the worst way. And let's hope
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: he didn't go to the draft. It's gonna be awfully
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: hard for him not to go through the MLB draft.
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: But uh, anyway, let's let's see what happens to Grayson Willoughby.
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: But congratulations for being played name Player of the Year.
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: But that's fantastic, all right. The game tonight for USAY
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: versus Belgium is at what time?
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: Eight o'clock? Fox?
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Where's this game being played?
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: Oh? Great question? Let me see if I can't track that.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: I don't even know. I forgot I should I forgot
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: to look it up. Your prediction for the game tonight
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: is what.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: They are playing in Seattle. That's right, they've already They've
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: already played a game in Seattle. They had a lot
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: of success there. I think with or without ball again,
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: I really do. I feel like the USA finds a
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: way to win it. Really thinking two to one, I
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: could see it being one to one, going to extras,
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: nobody scores, and then next you know, we're going through
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: a penalty shootout. I hope that's not the case. Penalty
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: shootouts are ridiculously scary when you've got a dog in
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: the fight. But yeah, I think they're gonna find a
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: way to pull it out tonight.
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: I hope you're right. Listen.
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: I might not be the biggest fan h for it,
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: but I am going to root for this team without
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: a doubt. So uh, we'll be talking about that tomorrow.
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: But justin I.
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: Gotta tell you right now, it's fun having you back.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: I'm so glad you did this. And and I'm glad
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: everything worked out well and everybody's happy. Now I can
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: tell you I'm Michael Bennett is ecstatic. I just want
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: you to know that I'm so happy, so y, it
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: has been so good to have you back. All right, everybody,
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: we'll see them all. I have a great day. We'll
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: see them all on Just a catch.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I see a little barrel too. The heads were made
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: of leather. They knocked
