- 1:32Sean McAllister: And live like the king of pop.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: We reveal how much it'll cost you to buy Michael Jackson's former Las Vegas estate.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: Let's get right to it and spin that wheel.
- 1:53Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: Thanks so much for being here.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister, along with Dana Roselli.
- 1:59Sean McAllister: And uh you may have noticed, maybe not, but some of you may have noticed that the the podcast is posting a little later on this uh Saturday posting date.
- 2:11Sean McAllister: It's because Roselli over here had to run off to see the Chippendales.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: It was their 20th anniversary.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: Listen, we celebrate everything Las Vegas, right, at all times.
- 2:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: Usually, you know, we schedule it for well, there's a couple factors, Sean.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: Let's not put it all on me in Chippendales.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: We did go to the groundbreaking of a new hotel casino that's going up.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: And that was on Friday, and then I had to run off to Chippendales.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: So, you know, we are a couple, well, a few hours later than normal.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: But, you know, that's a nice thing about a podcast, right?
- 2:44Sean McAllister: That's true.
- 2:45Sean McAllister: And you still get the alert when you subscribe that uh a new episode is posted.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: So here we are.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: 109.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: Um, so we're gonna talk more in depth about the Chippendales and their 20th anniversary next week.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: Um, but Vinny from Jersey Shore is again in the show and hosting the show.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: He's the celebrity host.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: He's I think this is his third time doing it.
- 3:08Dayna Roselli: He's crazy.
- 3:09SPEAKER_04: I think so.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the crowds come in for Vinny.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, they love him.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Jersey Shore is such a obviously popular, popular reality show from many, many, many years.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: And so the crowd, I had my cousin in from Jersey.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: Anyway, it's gonna be a whole Jersey connection.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: It's a whole Jersey connection.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: Oh, this will be good.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: I can't wait for that.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: Also, uh coming up just in a little bit here on this episode, we'll be taking you to that groundbreaking of the Durango Casino and Resort, which is in uh the southwest part of the Las Vegas Valley.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: And you're gonna hear about everything that's planned over there, and that's coming up in just a few minutes.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: But first, we have had the first Britney Spears sighting in Las Vegas.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Since she like canned all of her shows here.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: Well, that and uh she wasn't allowed to go a lot of places, right?
- 4:01Sean McAllister: Now that the conservatorship is over, she's free.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: So her and her fiance came and stayed at Resorts World because I think they were attending one of those UFC fights.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: And it was his birthday, Sam Asgari.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: I'm so glad they're still together.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: They've been together a few years now and seem really happy.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: He seems like he really cares about her.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I love that.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: And apparently they, you know, they did a bunch of things in Las Vegas, but um in in Resorts World, but a lot of them were kind of closed off.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: So it was, you know, them and their friends.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: She still has to be pretty private.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: I can only imagine she gets kind of mobbed.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: So, but they had a great dinner apparently at Wally's, and they did a little dancing, which she showed on her Instagram with some friends.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: She looked like she had a nice time.
- 4:41Sean McAllister: She's always dancing on Instagram.
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: Well, yeah.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: But I mean her and her fiance Sam were dancing together, like out after dinner or whatever.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: But yeah, she loves a good dance and yeah, stuff.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: She got a lot of stuff on her Instagram.
- 4:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, there is.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: Uh, but it was good to see Brittany back here in Vegas and perhaps a sign that maybe Resorts World could be wooing her for a residency over at their theater.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: Could be.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: Of course, that is the home to Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, eventually Celine Dion will be hitting the stage there.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: So Brittany could fit in pretty well in the lineup.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: I almost feel like she definitely needs to kind of chill for a little bit, though, but that's just my thought.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: But she keeps pointing out how she loves feeling like a normal person, even though she'll never be normal.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: But, you know, maybe she needs some time with that.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: But yes, who knows?
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: But you know, like you're saying with Resorts World, I mean, they have to do the woo well in advance.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: So it could be down the road, could be two years, could be a year, who knows?
- 5:44Sean McAllister: But cultivating that relationship is the first step, and they seem to have a great time at Resorts World.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: That's for sure.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: And that theater, I mentioned last week I was going to Katy Perry.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: Sean's already kind of talked about the show because you went before I did, but just wanted to quick recap from me.
- 5:59Dayna Roselli: Loved it again, loved the theater.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: The crowd was I loved seeing all the Katy Perry fan club outfits.
- 6:07Sean McAllister: I was gonna say, were people dressed up?
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, dressed up in all sorts of different things.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: We had it was great people watching, and they were true fans.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: Uh, the show was great.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: I loved the variety.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: The the props on set were just larger than life.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: I really have never ever seen a stage like that in Las Vegas.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: No.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: I was like, at one point toward the end, when the curtain closed and came back open, and I was like, where are these things even like getting pushed in from?
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: They are so large.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: I can't remember which one it was, but it was a really one of the toys or something.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: I was like, this is huge.
- 6:38Sean McAllister: Well, and I I understand I was talking with one of the executives who oversees the the shows over at Resorts World, and apparently some of Katy Perry's sets are so large, they just live up in the rafters of the theater.
- 6:54unknown: Wow.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: Because they they can't be like taken down and you know, stored somewhere, they just have to live up there.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, so what's the one?
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: Even when other performers comes in, he's probably like, get Katie's stage pieces off my back.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: And apparently he just revealed recently, I think um, yeah, he went to her show and enjoyed it.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: He said he had never seen a show like that, but now she owes him a visit to his show.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: And I think she's gonna love it because it's a completely different show.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: It is, but still equally as entertaining.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: And then along those lines, you mentioned Carrie Underwood.
- 7:33Dayna Roselli: She like stole the red carpet at the ACM Awards that were here in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: She looked gorgeous, right?
- 7:39Sean McAllister: She did in that silver mini dress, and then she had on another outfit that was another like sparkly, rainbowy, silvery thing.
- 7:51SPEAKER_03: Right, rainbowy.
- 7:53Sean McAllister: She had three outfits, I think, at the ACM Awards, which were over at Allegiant Stadium here in Las Vegas, and a great venue that I think they did a great job showcasing Las Vegas.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: Uh, even though they, you know, kept the award show confined to Allegiant Stadium with that big window that looks out over the Las Vegas Strip.
- 8:13Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:14Sean McAllister: You know, there were so many moments where you're like, yep, this is a Vegas show.
- 8:18Sean McAllister: It's not just like it was stuck in some arena somewhere.
- 8:21Sean McAllister: It looked like it was in the middle of Vegas.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: Great place for award shows.
- 8:25Dayna Roselli: It is, right?
- 8:26Sean McAllister: It is.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: Because I was recently asking someone, and this isn't I'm not trying to knock Allegiant Stadium, but someone recently went to Metallica that I know, and I said, How was the show?
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: How was the sound?
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: And they went, Not great.
- 8:36Dayna Roselli: And so, like, a you know, we've talked about the sound issue before.
- 8:38Sean McAllister: So, I think even for Billy Joel's show, he mentioned it during the show.
- 8:42Dayna Roselli: Did he?
- 8:43Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: What uh well, what do they solve that problem or they just say, Hey, it's a stadium show, deal with it?
- 8:48Sean McAllister: I mean I think over time there might be solutions uh for it, but um it is a stadium.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: And I think when you're in a stadium, uh you're not going to find uh acoustics that are uh perfect.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: I think to some degree there is going to be that bounce back, is what they call it.
- 9:10Sean McAllister: You know, the the noise just bouncing off of different surfaces.
- 9:15Sean McAllister: Because let's face it, it was built for football.
- 9:18Sean McAllister: It wasn't specifically built as a music venue with perfect acoustics.
- 9:24SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: So y you just kind of have to deal with the situation you're given in some of those venues.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I know like some people say if you're on this side, it's better, so I'm sure people I guess that's kind of a tip.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: Like if you're gonna go to a show at Allegiant Stadium, maybe do a little research and see where people have said in this section the sound was great, you know, or like in this section it wasn't, and maybe it just depends on where you sit.
- 9:46Sean McAllister: And I think the further back, if you sit uh l straight on to the stage, like if you're looking at the stage, but your seats are like pretty far back at the far wall of the arena, that's where you're going to experience a lot of the bounce back.
- 10:02Sean McAllister: Okay, okay.
- 10:03Dayna Roselli: But you know what?
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: The stadium's so cool.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: It's and it's just a good time to be in there that I mean, Billy Joel, you know, a cocktail in your hand, the scenes from Allegiance Stadium.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: So it's worth it.
- 10:15Sean McAllister: Amazing.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: Let's talk iHeart, because I know you got uh some information this morning sent right to your inbox about the iHeart Music Festival coming up.
- 10:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, iHeart Radio Music Festival coming back to Las Vegas, uh coming up in September, so still some time to plan for it.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: Uh, they're doing the uh, you know, the nighttime festival uh with the main stage, but they're also going to bring back the daytime stage, which is going to be held over at Area 15, that big entertainment complex we've mentioned a few times here on Vegas Revealed, is just off of uh the I-15 highway, across from a little bit west of the strip.
- 10:56Sean McAllister: Um, but at any rate, they have announced uh some of the performers who are set to uh uh be there for the daytime festival, among them Avril Levine, who has a new single out right now, by the way.
- 11:10Sean McAllister: And did you know that this is the 20th anniversary of her song Skaterboy?
- 11:15Sean McAllister: No.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: Twenty freaking years since that came out.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: Also, Five Seconds of Summer, Chloe, Willow, Chase Rice, Lotto, Carly Pierce, Gail, and Lauren Spencer Smith also on the lineup.
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: I know Avril Levine and uh Five Seconds of Summer.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: I know Carly Pierce.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: And I'm sure.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: I mean, and I probably know like the music, but it's it's attaching the name to the music.
- 11:46SPEAKER_04: I really can't.
- 11:47Sean McAllister: And I said I said Lotto, but it could be Latto.
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: Sounds like a great lineup.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, it does.
- 11:54Sean McAllister: It does.
- 11:55Sean McAllister: The kids are gonna be super excited about it.
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: All names I've seen before, so they must be hot, right?
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 12:01Sean McAllister: But the iHeartRadio Music Festival, always a big weekend here in Las Vegas.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: There's usually that's usually the same weekend as the Life is Beautiful Festival downtown.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: It is usually.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I can't believe September.
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: We're talking about September already.
- 12:16Sean McAllister: No.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and Life is Beautiful tickets went on sale too.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: They the early birds, but they usually sell out right away.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: I think we mentioned that.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: So keep checking the Life is Beautiful uh website because they release tickets and spurts.
- 12:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: All right, let's talk air quality because this is a big one.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I think everyone's gonna be really interested to hear this one, this conversation we are about to have.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: And I'm all hyped up because Sean, what did you put in this coffee?
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: You poured me coffee.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, I usually like a splash of cream, but you doused something in here and white.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: It is sweet.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: You were pouring the coffee, I was pouring the creamer, and you said, give me a little splash.
- 12:52Sean McAllister: And I gave you what a little splash according to my standards.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Sean likes like four sugars, creamer, all that.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: I know how to make his coffee.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: I like my coffee to taste like candy.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is uh That's the hazelnut creamer coffee mate.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: This long splash is I feel like my hands are shaking.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Now you know what it's like to be me all day long.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 13:15SPEAKER_03: All right, well, let's talk air quality.
- 13:17Sean McAllister: Air quality.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: Now that we've got our uh coffee preferences out of the way.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: So there is this uh startup company out of the Bay Area.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: It's called Wind.
- 13:26Sean McAllister: They do WYND.
- 13:28Sean McAllister: Um, it's like an air purifier company.
- 13:31Sean McAllister: Um, and their air purifiers also like take in some analytics uh to study what's in the air and how good the air quality is in your home or in your office wherever you have these machines.
- 13:46Sean McAllister: Well, they ended up doing a study of twenty eight hotel casinos on the Las Vegas Strip to compare air quality standards.
- 13:56Sean McAllister: And the results were uh uh pretty astounding.
- 14:00Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 14:01Sean McAllister: Obviously, there are some uh resorts that did much better than others.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: Uh they released the top three resorts with the best air quality, those are Win Las Vegas, Aria, and Park MGM.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 14:20Sean McAllister: Which Park MGM is the only non-smoking resort on the Las Vegas Strip.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: So that's obviously really helped the air quality inside out.
- 14:30Sean McAllister: Tremendously.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's made the list.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's a big deal.
- 14:32Sean McAllister: But also, you gotta think about the fact that Aria and Wynn both have really high ceilings in their casino areas.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: So that's gotta help with ventilation, I would imagine, too.
- 14:43Sean McAllister: Um, so those are the three best.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: And then I know Aria, because I used to live right next door uh in the high rise.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: Two hot, there's two high-rise buildings, and it was like a very uh it was like an all-green building, and I believe City Center itself.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: They have a lot of technology that was added um to have them be like uh green certified or like leaf certified.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: There was some certification that they got that that really proved that they had a lot of that, you know, good green technology built in.
- 15:15Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: So so I'm glad almost to see Aria make the list.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: And maybe that helps, you know, and and and adds to it.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: Because I mean, I think when you put all that effort in and make sure that you're using certain equipment and and having specific designs, that it in the end it's worth it and you do it for a reason.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: So it's nice to see that Aria has some good air quality.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so as I mentioned, the the top three resorts were named in this list.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Are we naming the bottom three or no?
- 15:46Sean McAllister: Well, no.
- 15:47Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 15:47Sean McAllister: The bottom three were not named.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Not named, that's right.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: However, the d the discrepancy between best and worst is drastic.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, I might we might need to pause and just put in a little dramatic music right here.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: Okay, give it to us, Sean, because I know you got the report right in front of you.
- 16:06Sean McAllister: The worst casinos are eighty times, their air quality is eighty times worse than what you would find at Wynn Park MGM or at Aria.
- 16:20Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 16:21Sean McAllister: And just to give you an idea of how bad that air quality is, it is worse than the concentration of dust and pollution that you would find on a bad air quality day in Beijing or New Delhi.
- 16:38SPEAKER_04: Oh my goodness.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: And we've all seen those pictures where they're skyline, you can't even see it, because it's all dust and smog and gross pollutedness.
- 16:48Sean McAllister: The worst casinos on the strip are worse than that.
- 16:52Sean McAllister: Oh my goodness.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: And it's enclosed, and there's probably low ceilings, and you're just in there, like breathing all that crap directly into your lungs.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: But it's Vegas, baby.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: I mean, come on.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: Is there such a thing as Vegas lung?
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: I think there should be.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Well, I'm hoping, even though it does not reveal the names, that that the the casinos themselves were made aware and that they will now make some improvements, realizing that they are at the bottom of the list 80 times worse than the top three.
- 17:23Sean McAllister: I hope so.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Man, that is pretty disgusting.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: And it does make a good case for uh keeping that mask in your back pocket.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: Alright, well, that's that.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Now you know, um, when it comes to air quality, be aware.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: It's not something sometimes we all think about, so.
- 17:38Sean McAllister: Alright, completely switching gears from air pollution to the late King of Pop, I think a lot of people know that for a time period in the early 2000s, Michael Jackson lived here in Las Vegas with his kids.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: And and for a portion of that, he stayed with that, well, not with, but he stayed at the compound that the Sultan of Brunei owned over there near Spanish Trail.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: Right.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: I remember I when I was in the helicopter reporting, we used to fly over.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, we used to fly over.
- 18:06Sean McAllister: Did you ever see anything fun?
- 18:07Dayna Roselli: No, I didn't.
- 18:08Dayna Roselli: But it we would look around and and did you like buzz the tower over there?
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: Just go really low?
- 18:14Dayna Roselli: We look uh being in the helicopter, well, we'll have to have a conversation about that another time because it was uh I got a lot of stories.
- 18:19SPEAKER_03: Oh, I bet the things we used to see and do and and maybe break some rules.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, yeah, so he lived over there, but then he he kind of went on his own and rented a home right near uh like Sahara and Buffalo.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: That's on the in the north direction west of the strip.
- 18:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: And that's up for sale.
- 18:41Sean McAllister: It is up for sale.
- 18:42Sean McAllister: Uh big time.
- 18:45Sean McAllister: So you could live own the estate where Michael Jackson lived for a period of time in 2006, if you have 9.5 million dollars just laying around.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: Now, let's discuss this because I was looking around at the house.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: Like, definitely with the way prices are now, I get it.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: That's in the do you think that's a$9.5 million estate?
- 19:11Dayna Roselli: When I look at it, I'm like, it's nice, but it's not it's near the lakes, but there's a lot of like homes around it, and it's like the best area in the world.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of things that I feel like doesn't make that$9.5 million.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: I mean, it is a big place.
- 19:28Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 19:29Sean McAllister: I mean, I would first of all, I don't have nine nine and a half million to drop on a house.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: No.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: But I mean, listen, it is what it is.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: Okay, so it's up for$9.5 million, and somebody will get it for that, I'm sure.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: And it looks gorgeous.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: It is a 17,000 square foot house.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: Very big.
- 19:47Dayna Roselli: But it's it's always so weird though, because it's like it's Vegas.
- 19:49Sean McAllister: But you know what?
- 19:50Sean McAllister: The current owners bought the house in 2010 for$3.1 million.
- 19:55Sean McAllister: See?
- 19:56Sean McAllister: So it's three times more than than what they paid for it.
- 20:00Sean McAllister: So they're making a pretty penny.
- 20:01unknown: Wow.
- 20:02Sean McAllister: They did put uh they did change a lot of things.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 20:05Sean McAllister: I guess Michael Jackson had put in amusement park rides and had a little zoo out back.
- 20:11Sean McAllister: They removed a a lot of that stuff, yeah, updated it, did their own upgrades, right?
- 20:19Sean McAllister: St nine nine and a half mil.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: I remember when he passed in two thousand nine, a lot of people left flowers and candles and pictures and stuff outside that gate.
- 20:28Dayna Roselli: Because they knew that he had lived there at one point.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: It was kind of a way for Las Vegas to and then in Janet Jackson's recent documentary that just released on uh Lifetime, she drives by that area and kind of talks about how she tried to visit Michael many times when he lived in Las Vegas.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: So anyway, um, it's up for sale, and our friend Czar is the realtor on it, or his his agency anyway.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: Czar is, you know, real estate agent of the stars.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: He's uh the best when it comes to that, and uh uh he just always has amazing properties for sale.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: You always know Zar is gonna be the one that's that's in charge.
- 21:03Sean McAllister: By the way, uh that nine and a half million asking price is about uh five hundred sixty dollars per square foot.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 21:14Dayna Roselli: I was just thinking as you were saying that.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: We need to have Zar on the show.
- 21:18Sean McAllister: We do.
- 21:18Dayna Roselli: He's a great interview.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: He used to come on Channel 13 where he used to work all the time.
- 21:23Dayna Roselli: And we have to do that.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: Let's do that so.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: I know he has stories.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: Some stories he can talk about, some he can't.
- 21:31Sean McAllister: Oh, we'll have to do anonymous stories.
- 21:32Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 21:33Sean McAllister: He can give the story, and then we can try and guess who's involved.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: I have a story, but I can't say unless I ask him.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: About a certain diva.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: Oh.
- 21:46Dayna Roselli: Anyway, we'll see.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: We'll talk to Zar, see if we can reveal some stuff.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: All right, what else are we talking about?
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: We've got a Britney, Michael, what else?
- 21:54Dayna Roselli: Uh, we are gonna talk.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Well, let's talk money, because I know that our listeners are always interested in how much Las Vegas.
- 22:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, and you know, every time we talk about this, Dana, it seems like the numbers just keep going up and up and up.
- 22:08Sean McAllister: And there are some new numbers out that show that that revenues are up like seven and a half percent over what they were in 2019 before the pandemic.
- 22:20Dayna Roselli: I know, because I mean we expect numbers to be higher than 2020, right?
- 22:24Sean McAllister: Because they're that's just not a good comparison here.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: No, but then when you look at 2019, we were like, wait, what how?
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: But it's incredible the the gaming numbers.
- 22:34Dayna Roselli: And I saw some people chatting about it um online, and they were saying, well, like a lot of the shows weren't open, so people gambled more.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: Uh, you know, there were reasons that you know, maybe the gaming was up.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: But when we were looking at this article in Forbes, I was looking at some of the actual games that brought in a lot of money, and apparently roulette did really well in 2021.
- 22:56Sean McAllister: I actually did play a lot of roulette.
- 22:58Dayna Roselli: Did you?
- 22:58Dayna Roselli: Well, because I think I wonder if people are like, well, things happen to them.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: And so they're like picking numbers, like this is my lucky number.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna put, you know, this amount on it, or or whatever.
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: But roulette helped bolster apparently the numbers with a total win of$428 million.
- 23:14Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 23:15Dayna Roselli: Which is an all-time record.
- 23:17Sean McAllister: You know what I also wonder about roulette?
- 23:19Sean McAllister: That's one of the games on the casino floor that uh a lot of casinos are starting to do like that stadium seating with one roulette wheel.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: There's a dealer down there, but it allows more people to play at one roulette wheel rather than like the standard table format that we've seen before.
- 23:42Sean McAllister: So I wonder if that's contributed to that.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it could be, it could be.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: And and people feel less intimidated, you know?
- 23:49Sean McAllister: Right.
- 23:49Dayna Roselli: Because sometimes when you're you're standing around, you're worried you're gonna do something wrong or whatever, but yeah, that could definitely be it.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: Interesting that it's an all-time record.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: Sportsbooks collected 8.1 billion in wagers and won 445.1 million, both all-time records.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: Gosh.
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: Isn't that crazy?
- 24:08Dayna Roselli: And then slot machines remained apparently the cash cow in 2021.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: State collected 9.2 billion last year from slots, another all-time record for Nevada, and a 16.4% increase over 2019.
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: Isn't that crazy?
- 24:28Dayna Roselli: Well, so hey, people have their preference, and and apparently they want to come to Vegas or they wanted to come to Vegas and gamble in 2021.
- 24:37Dayna Roselli: We'll take it.
- 24:38Sean McAllister: And we love to say it.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: Thanks for making our state tax free.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: Making our state tax-free and letting us live here in a happy way.
- 24:49Dayna Roselli: And uh speaking of gaming, we have another mega resort going up on the strip.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's gonna be done in 2023.
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: So I want to talk about that, then we'll get over to the groundbreaking in the southwest part of the valley.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: So I love to hear like new things, you know, in the works and opening.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: So they're going ahead with construction on the Fountain Blue Resort, and it's gonna be beautiful.
- 25:11Dayna Roselli: They released some rendering, Sean.
- 25:12Dayna Roselli: You and I were looking at it, and we were going, ooh, ah, ooh, ah, it looks really nice, right?
- 25:17Sean McAllister: Gorgeous.
- 25:18Dayna Roselli: Multiple pools, contemporary design, uh, you know, they have gaming and you know, restaurants, but they're really pushing also how much space they're gonna have for conventions, and it's right next to the brand new convention center.
- 25:32Sean McAllister: Right.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: So it'll be a great spot for that.
- 25:34Sean McAllister: The proximity is terrific.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: And I mean, it really does just look stunning.
- 25:42Sean McAllister: The uh ballroom is one of the pillarless uh ballrooms, so it's just this giant open space, one of the largest ballrooms in all of Las Vegas.
- 25:54Sean McAllister: That's in addition to all of the convention space.
- 25:57Sean McAllister: There's a 90,000 square foot theater that's going to be a part of this property too.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Who's so who's gonna perform there?
- 26:06Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 26:07Sean McAllister: I guess they they might need to compete with their neighbor across the street to steal Britney's affection.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: Well, Sean and I are available for hosting gigs on the loop.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: But yeah, it does look gorgeous.
- 26:20Dayna Roselli: Uh and yeah, the coloring, I love the coloring.
- 26:22Sean McAllister: It's like the blues and blues, grays, silvers, yeah, some gold in there.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: And even we were even looking at like the the loop where you valet looks nice.
- 26:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, it does.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: Um, I'm just happy it's gonna be done.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: I think that that people have been looking at that, waiting for it to, you know, finish, and finally it's like moving ahead.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: I see lights on.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: I live across the street, I see the lights on and the work being done, and and I'm looking forward to 2023.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: It'll be here before we know it.
- 26:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh you'll notice if you come to Vegas soon, it's that big blue building at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 27:01Sean McAllister: It's got the big logo FB up on the the side of the building now.
- 27:06Sean McAllister: So it's very identifiable, very classy.
- 27:09Sean McAllister: Can't wait for that to to open up and get inside.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: I know, and just really fill that whole area out really nice, too, right?
- 27:15Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 27:16Dayna Roselli: Um, I think I think that's gonna be a great addition.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to the Fountain Blue.
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: I I was telling you a story that I when I was younger, my our parent my parents took us to the uh Fountain Blue in Miami.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Okay, and we went there specifically to go to the pool that we saw so many pictures of because it was amazing, and they were like, okay, well, we went on this little cruise, and they were like, well, we'll stay at the hotel and the kids can play in the pool.
- 27:39Dayna Roselli: And then when they got there, the pool was closed for renovation.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: Oh no, but they never they didn't know that when they made the reservation, and my parents were furious.
- 27:49Dayna Roselli: So we went out there, had our towel, and they're like, Oh, sorry.
- 27:52Dayna Roselli: It was like such a bummer, such a bummer.
- 27:55Sean McAllister: Maybe you can bring the Roselli family back out to Vegas and have like a redemption pool day.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: I hope so.
- 28:02Sean McAllister: Fountain blue, Las Vegas.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: Oh man, but I love the name.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: I love the Fountain Blue.
- 28:07Dayna Roselli: It's iconic, iconic.
- 28:08Dayna Roselli: So look forward to adding that to the Las Vegas strip.
- 28:11Sean McAllister: All right, switching gears, Dana, it's hard to believe there's actually more news about new resorts in Las Vegas.
- 28:18Sean McAllister: This one uh is a new resort casino that's being built from the ground up in the southwest part of Las Vegas.
- 28:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we got an invite about a week ago and it said you need to dress desert chic, and I was all excited.
- 28:30Dayna Roselli: I said, We gotta go to this, Sean, and we showed up, and this is pretty cool.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: I've never seen uh an active construction site with the mock-up of a hotel room, with drinks, with photo ops, a bell cart that's branded with the Durango Resort and Casino logo, a big logo out in the desert.
- 28:51Sean McAllister: There's a classic T bird out here.
- 28:53Sean McAllister: Also, out here is Station Casino President Scott Krieger, who's with us now.
- 28:58Sean McAllister: And man, Scott, you've got a lot going on out here.
- 29:01Sean McAllister: It's been a busy week.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so first of all, you guys can't play with the tractors while you're here.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Uh, and secondly, yeah, it's been uh it's been a great week.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Uh culminated by bringing uh uh our team members out to the site and our ownership and celebrating the groundbreaking of Durango Station, uh, which is on 215 and Durango, and it will be our next evolution of Station Casino.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: Okay, well, tell us a little bit about that because uh we know that this has been the plan for a long time.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: Excited to finally hear that it is happening, but uh will this uh casino and resort be like the other ones or will it have differences?
- 29:38Dayna Roselli: Can you give anyone maybe any tidbits or insight?
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it'll be both.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, we never stray far from our traditional station casinos, uh amenities, service, and product because our customers love that.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: So, but what we try to do with each of these is raise the bar a bit and make sure that we're relevant to the day and age.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: And so we spend a lot of time understanding what our customers like.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: We spend a lot of time thinking about what we did in our last project, and we try to really bring all of that together into something that's contemporary, fresh, and fun.
- 30:14Sean McAllister: So uh when we talk about obviously this is gonna be a a new casino here in the southwest part of the valley.
- 30:20Sean McAllister: Um when we talk about the rest of what the resort is uh going to offer, can you dive into some of those details?
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: So, first and foremost, we're in the gambling business.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: So we'll have a wonderful casino with all the best games uh that has a great atmosphere and is fun to be in.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Secondly, we'll surround that with uh four signature restaurant boxes because food and beverage is really important to us.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: And we want to make sure that we uh provide something that's very unique and something that's new to market.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: So we're not gonna announce yet who those tenant partners are, but in due time I think you'll be really excited about that.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: One other feature that we have that's exciting is a nine-unit food hall.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: And so what we did was we mixed some of the great local chefs and restaurant tours and some uh regional and national uh restaurant tours to create a really unique food court uh food hall experience.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Uh and then lastly, as you know, sports wagering has become more and more popular uh with the advent of sports mobile and you know our product that we have uh for cellular sports mobile in Nevada.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: So what we want to do is look at the next evolution of a race and sports book experience that integrates dining and entertainment, indoor, outdoor vibe, and really have something special as it relates to the sports uh race and sports market.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: And I always wonder, I mean, uh so many people love Red Rock Red Rock on this side of town and go to Red Rock.
- 31:52Dayna Roselli: Do you ever worry it's gonna pull customers from there, or you just feel like you have enough for everyone?
- 31:57SPEAKER_00: Look, well, I think any business would look at that, and we have.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Uh we really like the Southwest.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: And the amount of dynamic growth that's going on out here uh and the product that we're going to offer, we think it can stand on its own.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: Uh and we think that it's going to be complementary to the overall market.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: So we really don't have much concern that it will be cannibalistic, if you will.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: We think they're two different unique experiences, and we think that it's potentially two different customer bases.
- 32:27Sean McAllister: And I've been uh Green Valley Ranch guy for the better part of 20 years here in Las Vegas.
- 32:34Sean McAllister: That's where I go to get my bingo on.
- 32:37Sean McAllister: Are you gonna have a bingo parlor here at Durango?
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry to say that in our first phase we do not have a bingo parlor, but I will tell you that I appreciate that you go to a Green Valley Ranch to do that.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: I actually was a general manager of Green Valley Ranch at one time, and it's a property near and dear to my heart.
- 32:55Dayna Roselli: So I mean I feel like um all your properties people seem to gravitate to and love.
- 33:00Dayna Roselli: What do you think makes it uh so appealing for locals?
- 33:04Dayna Roselli: And I I know tourists leave the strip to go to some of your properties too.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: It's our team members.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: I think first and foremost, it starts and ends there with our friendly team members.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: Uh and then I think what we you know add to that is products that are aligned with what our customers want.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: So we try not to overthink our customers, we try to stay in line with what they're interested in and what the products and offerings they want to see.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: So we stay very close to our customer in delivering those products.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: And at the same time, we like to stretch the envelope a little bit.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: You'll see when we opened up uh Red Rock, we broke some casino rules.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: We had a lot of natural light, we had a lot of indoor-outdoor, we integrated the pool with the restaurants, we did a lot of unique things at Red Rock, and so we've taken that theme and integrated it into Durango as well.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: So you'll see a lot more social and open environments where the energy and vibe is much more dynamic, uh, and you'll see a lot of that uh that more uh contemporary trend in design that's more promenade-like, and and we always like to bring a different product to the market that grows the overall market.
- 34:13Sean McAllister: And uh speaking of the design, uh the the dress code out here today was desert chic.
- 34:19Sean McAllister: Is desert chic kind of the overall theme of the design at Durango?
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: Very intuitive, it is.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: So uh what we're trying to do here is is embrace and kind of riff off of the environment that we live in, thus the logo uh being an agave.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Um and we found it Red Rock, which has a bit of a little bit more palm desert type of a feel.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: We felt that that's a very comfortable and welcoming kind of architectural design.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: So we really wanted to take that to the next level here, localize it a little bit that you'll see in the color palettes and the designs, uh real nod to our environment that we live in.
- 34:58Dayna Roselli: And my big question, is it Durango Casino and Resort or Durango Station?
- 35:03Dayna Roselli: Are they interchangeable?
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: Do both work?
- 35:05Dayna Roselli: Is there a preferred?
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: You can call us whatever you want, but technically, technically is Durango a station casino's resort.
- 35:14unknown: Got it.
- 35:16SPEAKER_04: Thank you so much.
- 35:18Sean McAllister: We're looking forward to the new property Dana.
- 35:20Sean McAllister: I think I'm gonna need to get a lookbook all set up so that I know what to wear for the desert chic atmosphere.
- 35:26Sean McAllister: I know.
- 35:26SPEAKER_04: And the grand opening.
- 35:28SPEAKER_04: We need to start thinking.
- 35:29SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 35:29SPEAKER_04: Thank you so much.
- 35:30SPEAKER_04: All right, thank you guys.
- 35:31Dayna Roselli: Good times.
- 35:32Dayna Roselli: It was a beautiful afternoon.
- 35:34Dayna Roselli: If you want to see more, go to our social media sites.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: We've post some renderings and some pictures, we've got some reels up there, and you can see what Durango Station is all about.
- 35:45Dayna Roselli: I'm allowed to say that, Sean, because he said I could call it whatever I want.
- 35:49Sean McAllister: Let's get to our tips.
- 35:57Dayna Roselli: Tip number one.
- 35:59Dayna Roselli: Don't let Sean put creamer in your coffee.
- 36:02Sean McAllister: Oh, come on.
- 36:03Sean McAllister: There's a certain portion of the population that would enjoy it.
- 36:06Dayna Roselli: I think my hands are sweating.
- 36:10Dayna Roselli: Um anyway, yes, tip number one.
- 36:13Sean McAllister: You sure you didn't eat too many goalie energies?
- 36:15Dayna Roselli: Uh no, I actually haven't had any of those today because I knew Sean always has the coffee pot going.
- 36:21Dayna Roselli: Uh, but yes, tip number one for real.
- 36:23Dayna Roselli: I wanted to talk about my recent visit to Treasure Island.
- 36:27Dayna Roselli: Um, I had a job there for the show Vegas that we do and pulled up and needed to valet because I was doing a shoot out on the strip and I didn't, I had heels on, I didn't want to walk really far.
- 36:38Dayna Roselli: And I was like, how much is valet?
- 36:40Dayna Roselli: And they're like, it's free.
- 36:41Dayna Roselli: I'm like, and they're like, yeah, you know, just uh we are one of the very few that still have free valet.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: So it was great.
- 36:49Dayna Roselli: I had to work there and I was there all day.
- 36:51Dayna Roselli: It was just such a pleasure, you know, and I'm and I'm buying Starbucks and I'm, you know, doing a piece on something that is happening inside Treasure Island, and I it felt so good to not be charged 30 bucks to leave and basically be there to promote, spend money inside a property.
- 37:11Sean McAllister: That is amazing.
- 37:12Sean McAllister: There are so few places.
- 37:14Sean McAllister: Is there really anywhere else that has free valet?
- 37:17Dayna Roselli: Well, a lot of the shopping centers do, if there's a shopping component, like crystals at Aria, and I think um I don't know if Forum Shops has free anymore.
- 37:28Sean McAllister: Last weekend uh we were on a separate shoot, and I dropped a colleague off at a a property on the strip.
- 37:37Sean McAllister: I won't say which one.
- 37:38Sean McAllister: Okay, but I pulled into the the through lane up in front, and they were charging$50 for valet.
- 37:46Dayna Roselli: That is ridiculous.
- 37:47Sean McAllister: And that's exactly what I said when we were pulling in.
- 37:51Sean McAllister: But with a couple other choice words.
- 37:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure.
- 37:54Dayna Roselli: The road rage came out, Sean and his road rage.
- 37:57Sean McAllister: I love that we got messages from people saying that my darker side came through.
- 38:01Sean McAllister: I know the last episode.
- 38:03Dayna Roselli: We're starting to slowly reveal the darker side.
- 38:06Dayna Roselli: But yeah, Treasure Island has free valet.
- 38:09Dayna Roselli: Keep that in mind.
- 38:09Dayna Roselli: Anyway, I haven't been in Treasure Island, to be honest, in a little while.
- 38:12Dayna Roselli: Since before the pandemic started.
- 38:14Dayna Roselli: So you know, they have the show Mystere in there by Cirque de Soleil, the original Cirque Show.
- 38:20Dayna Roselli: You know, as I said, they've got a Starbucks, they've got a few restaurants, they have the Gillies in there still, and the Senior Frogs.
- 38:27Dayna Roselli: Great casino floor with lots of slot machines.
- 38:30Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for a place to go and chill and and hang out, um, and you haven't visited Treasure Island in a while, might be a good option.
- 38:38Dayna Roselli: I was in there going, you know, I really like this hotel.
- 38:39Dayna Roselli: It's really cute.
- 38:41Dayna Roselli: And I stayed there, Sean, for my bachelorette party.
- 38:45Sean McAllister: You did?
- 38:45Sean McAllister: In 2000.
- 38:47Sean McAllister: I did not know this.
- 38:48Dayna Roselli: I just thought of it as we were talking.
- 38:50Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 38:52Sean McAllister: Did you wear the sash and the crown and do the whole thing?
- 38:55Dayna Roselli: Okay, I'm now not I'm not married anymore, but everything's fine.
- 38:59Dayna Roselli: We're still friends, all that.
- 39:00Dayna Roselli: We know that's a whole nother story.
- 39:01Dayna Roselli: But anyway, that has nothing to do with this.
- 39:03Dayna Roselli: But I did have a bachelorette at one point in my life, and it and my all my girlfriends came into town, and we stayed at Treasure Island so that we could, you know, have some fun and um not have to, you know, drive home or all that kind of thing.
- 39:19Dayna Roselli: It was before Ubers because it was a long time ago.
- 39:21Sean McAllister: God, was that back in the days when there was like that social house sushi restaurant in the Christian Audeg.
- 39:27SPEAKER_03: Tangerine.
- 39:28Sean McAllister: Yes, Tangerine Ultra Lounge.
- 39:31Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 39:32Sean McAllister: I'm like, I'm like having flashbacks now.
- 39:34Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 39:35Sean McAllister: I used to be at Treasure Island all the time.
- 39:38Dayna Roselli: You know, I have a funny, I gotta share this story.
- 39:41Dayna Roselli: Hold on, really quick.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: That night, you're because I know you'll think this is fun.
- 39:45Dayna Roselli: This is literally happening live.
- 39:47Dayna Roselli: I'm thinking of these stories, and I'm actually thinking I have to tell Sean this story, but I might as well just say them.
- 39:52Dayna Roselli: At my bachelorette.
- 39:55Sean McAllister: I can't wait.
- 39:56Dayna Roselli: Somebody took out their contacts and put them in little um cups, like Dixie cups that were in the bathroom.
- 40:03Dayna Roselli: And then my friend couldn't find her contacts.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: And she was like, Who drank my contacts?
- 40:10SPEAKER_03: Because everyone was kind of tipsy.
- 40:13Dayna Roselli: And my poor friend lied had no contacts for the rest of the weekend because some drunk of the pack drank the contacts that were on the bathroom counter.
- 40:27Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 40:28Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 40:29Sean McAllister: It reminds me of when I was a kid.
- 40:31Sean McAllister: I went to grab a cup of like Sprite or Seven Up off the counter, and I took a big swig of it, and it was my bubbles for playing outside.
- 40:40Sean McAllister: It wasn't seven up or sprite at all.
- 40:42Sean McAllister: It was awful.
- 40:43Sean McAllister: Oh, jeez.
- 40:44Sean McAllister: But I've never I've never downed a pair of contacts.
- 40:48Dayna Roselli: We don't know who.
- 40:49Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I don't know.
- 40:50Dayna Roselli: But anyway, this is totally sidetracked off the fact that Treasure Island is a fun hotel and they have free valet and parking in the parking garage.
- 40:57Sean McAllister: I've been going on an awful lot of tangents lately.
- 41:00Dayna Roselli: All right, what's your tip?
- 41:01Dayna Roselli: Oh, we just got an email back from the Westgate because you wrote our friend Gordy over there.
- 41:05Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 41:06Sean McAllister: Uh so the Westgate is like Hoops Central for the NCAA uh college basketball tournament.
- 41:15Sean McAllister: The Westgate is like the place to go.
- 41:18Sean McAllister: Not only do they have the sport the race and sport super book over at the Westgate, but they also turn their theater over at the Westgate into another uh huge viewing area for fans.
- 41:39Sean McAllister: And they can fit 1,500 people into that theater to watch the games that are going on.
- 41:46Sean McAllister: And I think they they, you know, have the big screen up there.
- 41:50Sean McAllister: They have they split it into sections so there's multiple games going on at the same time.
- 41:55Sean McAllister: There's lots of food and drink specials going on over there.
- 41:58Sean McAllister: Not to mention St.
- 41:59Sean McAllister: Patrick's Day on March 17th is on the first day of the basketball tournament, too.
- 42:06Sean McAllister: So you're gonna have all these teams playing on Thursday, and it's gonna be St.
- 42:10Sean McAllister: Patrick's Day.
- 42:11Sean McAllister: Wow, it is going to be nuts here in Las Vegas.
- 42:16Sean McAllister: The first day of the tournament, the first few days are always crazy.
- 42:19Sean McAllister: But add St.
- 42:20Sean McAllister: Patrick's Day into the mix, it's an event.
- 42:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, and I hope there's lots of Ubers ready to take people around.
- 42:28Dayna Roselli: And if not, people need to take advantage of walking or using the monorail.
- 42:33Dayna Roselli: Everyone play it safe that day.
- 42:34Dayna Roselli: I think there's gonna be a lot of drinking going on.
- 42:37Sean McAllister: And and save gas by not driving.
- 42:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 42:40Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 42:41Sean McAllister: But again, uh the Westgate is the place to be.
- 42:45Sean McAllister: They have uh Hoops Central.
- 42:47Sean McAllister: There's a page on the website of Westgate Las Vegas that's dedicated to Hoops Central that'll give you all the information.
- 42:54Sean McAllister: You can buy tickets to different days of the tournament.
- 42:57Sean McAllister: Um, it's gonna be a great time.
- 42:59Sean McAllister: If you're looking for a place to go, the Westgate has it down.
- 43:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that sports book is really great.
- 43:06Dayna Roselli: I was just recently uh there.
- 43:08Dayna Roselli: I had a little bite to eat with uh my friend Frank Marino and Alex, and we ate right there where you and I have gone before.
- 43:16Dayna Roselli: And it's just it's just a great, it's a great spot.
- 43:19Dayna Roselli: It's uh really unreal how large that sports book is.
- 43:22Sean McAllister: I know.
- 43:23Sean McAllister: And again, you can go to WestgateResorts.com and you can find the page for Hoop Central and everything they've got going on over there.
- 43:31Sean McAllister: So that is the second tip of the week.
- 43:33Sean McAllister: We got Free Valet, we have Hoop Central.
- 43:37Sean McAllister: We got you covered.
