Designing Homes for All Ages: Tips from Award-Winning Designer Wendy Glaister · Around the House with Eric G®: Home Improvement Remodeling & DIY

• 0:51
  It's
• 0:52
  around
• 0:52
  the
• 0:52
  house
• 0:53
  families,
• 0:54
  middle
• 0:55
  30s,
• 0:55
  probably
• 0:56
  into
• 0:57
  tech
• 0:57
  and
• 0:58
  so
• 0:58
  close
• 0:58
  to
• 0:58
  the
• 0:58
  Bay
• 0:58
  area,
• 0:59
  obviously.
• 1:00
  But
• 1:00
  we're
• 1:00
  designing
• 1:01
  the
• 1:01
  home
• 1:01
  so
• 1:02
  that
• 1:02
  it
• 1:02
  is
• 1:03
  run
• 1:03
  by
• 1:03
  circadian
• 1:04
  rhythm
• 1:05
  and
• 1:05
  it's
• 1:06
  all
• 1:06
  tunable
• 1:06
  light.
• 1:07
  So
• 1:07
  meaning
• 1:08
  all
• 1:09
  of
• 1:09
  the
• 1:09
  shades,
• 1:10
  all
• 1:11
  of
• 1:11
  the
• 1:11
  interior
• 1:12
  lighting,
• 1:12
  I
• 1:13
  think
• 1:13
  even
• 1:13
  the
• 1:13
  coffee
• 1:14
  pot
• 1:15
  is
• 1:15
  all
• 1:15
  tuned
• 1:16
  to
• 1:17
  sunrise
• 1:18
  and
• 1:18
  sunsets
• 1:19
  and
• 1:20
  all
• 1:20
  of
• 1:20
  the
• 1:20
  zones
• 1:21
  through
• 1:21
  the
• 1:21
  house
• 1:22
  ebb
• 1:22
  and
• 1:23
  flow
• 1:23
  as
• 1:24
  it's
• 1:24
  supposed
• 1:25
  to
• 1:25
  in
• 1:25
  order
• 1:25
  for
• 1:26
  optimal
• 1:26
  sleep,
• 1:27
  optimal
• 1:27
  rest,
• 1:28
  less
• 1:29
  stressful
• 1:29
  environments
• 1:31
  so
• 1:31
  you
• 1:31
  don't
• 1:31
  come
• 1:31
  down
• 1:32
  in
• 1:32
  the
• 1:32
  morning
• 1:32
  and
• 1:32
  have
• 1:33
  this
• 1:33
  glaring
• 1:33
  light
• 1:34
  in
• 1:34
  your
• 1:34
  eyes.
• 1:34
  It's
• 1:35
  the
• 1:35
  sunlight,
• 1:36
  but
• 1:37
  it's
• 1:37
  just
• 1:37
  tuned
• 1:38
  so
• 1:38
  that
• 1:39
  your
• 1:40
  body
• 1:40
  reacts
• 1:41
  in
• 1:41
  a
• 1:41
  positive
• 1:42
  way.
• 1:43
  When
• 1:43
  it
• 1:43
  comes
• 1:44
  to
• 1:44
  remodeling
• 1:44
  and
• 1:45
  renovating
• 1:45
  your
• 1:45
  home,
• 1:46
  there
• 1:46
  is
• 1:46
  a
• 1:46
  lot
• 1:47
  to
• 1:47
  know,
• 1:47
  but
• 1:48
  we've
• 1:48
  got
• 1:48
  you
• 1:49
  covered.

  we're

  going

  to
• 2:17
  be
• 2:17
  talking

  about
• 2:18
  really,
• 2:19
  homes
• 2:19
  for

  all

  Wendy,
• 2:23
  welcome

  back

• 2:26
  Hi
• 2:26
  Eric,
• 2:26
  thank
• 2:27
  you
• 2:27
  so
• 2:27
  much
• 2:27
  for
• 2:27
  having
• 2:28
  me.
• 2:28
  It
• 2:28
  is
• 2:29
  always
• 2:29
  fun
• 2:29
  where
• 2:30
  you
• 2:30
  and
• 2:30
  I
• 2:30
  can
• 2:30
  dive
• 2:30
  down
• 2:31
  the
• 2:31
  rabbit
• 2:31
  hole
• 2:31
  of
• 2:31
  design
• 2:32
  and
• 2:32
  really
• 2:32
  how
• 2:32
  it
• 2:33
  affects
• 2:34
  everyone
• 2:34
  in
• 2:34
  a
• 2:35
  household
• 2:35
  or
• 2:36
  other
• 2:36
  people
• 2:36
  that
• 2:36
  you're
• 2:37
  planning
• 2:37
  to
• 2:37
  come
• 2:37
  into
• 2:38
  your
• 2:38
  household.
• 2:39
  There
• 2:39
  is
• 2:40
  so
• 2:40
  much
• 2:40
  to
• 2:41
  talk
• 2:41
  about
• 2:41
  with
• 2:41
  homes
• 2:42
  and
• 2:42
  we
• 2:42
  can
• 2:43
  have
• 2:43
  an
• 2:43
  episode
• 2:44
  together
• 2:44
  every
• 2:45
  week
• 2:45
  for
• 2:45
  a
• 2:45
  year
• 2:46
  and
• 2:46
  not
• 2:46
  touch
• 2:47
  on
• 2:47
  everything.
• 2:47
  So
• 2:48
  it's
• 2:48
  great
• 2:48
  to
• 2:48
  be
• 2:48
  back.
• 2:49
  Thank
• 2:49
  you.
• 2:50
  Oh,
• 2:50
  it
• 2:50
  is
• 2:50
  so
• 2:50
  much
• 2:51
  fun.
• 2:51
  And
• 2:52
  what's
• 2:52
  funny
• 2:52
  is
• 2:53
  it
• 2:53
  seems
• 2:53
  to
• 2:53
  me
• 2:54
  in
• 2:54
  design,
• 2:54
  geez,
• 2:55
  when
• 2:55
  I
• 2:55
  started
• 2:56
  30
• 2:56
  years
• 2:56
  ago,
• 2:57
  we
• 2:57
  were
• 2:57
  really
• 2:58
  just
• 2:58
  jumping
• 2:58
  into
• 2:59
  Ada
• 3:00
  and
• 3:00
  really
• 3:01
  what
• 3:01
  that
• 3:01
  meant
• 3:01
  and
• 3:02
  oh,
• 3:02
  you
• 3:02
  could
• 3:02
  even
• 3:03
  use
• 3:03
  it
• 3:03
  in
• 3:03
  your
• 3:03
  house
• 3:03
  versus
• 3:04
  a
• 3:04
  hospital
• 3:04
  or
• 3:04
  a
• 3:04
  hotel.
• 3:05
  And
• 3:06
  then
• 3:06
  we
• 3:06
  got
• 3:06
  into
• 3:07
  accessible
• 3:07
  living
• 3:08
  and
• 3:08
  it's
• 3:08
  so
• 3:08
  fun
• 3:09
  to
• 3:09
  see
• 3:09
  how
• 3:09
  far
• 3:10
  this
• 3:11
  has
• 3:11
  progressed
• 3:12
  and
• 3:12
  quite
• 3:12
  frankly
• 3:13
  how
• 3:13
  it
• 3:13
  should
• 3:13
  be
• 3:13
  in
• 3:14
  every
• 3:14
  home.
• 3:14
  It's,
• 3:15
  it's
• 3:15
  true,
• 3:16
  I
• 3:16
  think.
• 3:16
  Well,
• 3:17
  I
• 3:17
  think
• 3:17
  now
• 3:18
  people
• 3:18
  are
• 3:18
  starting
• 3:18
  to
• 3:18
  take
• 3:19
  a
• 3:19
  longer
• 3:19
  range
• 3:19
  view
• 3:20
  of
• 3:21
  what
• 3:21
  their
• 3:22
  investment
• 3:22
  dollars
• 3:23
  will
• 3:23
  get
• 3:23
  them
• 3:24
  over
• 3:24
  time
• 3:25
  instead
• 3:25
  of
• 3:25
  just
• 3:25
  the
• 3:26
  quick
• 3:26
  hit
• 3:26
  sort
• 3:27
  of
• 3:27
  a
• 3:27
  thing.
• 3:28
  How
• 3:28
  can
• 3:28
  this
• 3:29
  home
• 3:29
  serve
• 3:29
  me
• 3:29
  better?
• 3:30
  And
• 3:30
  my
• 3:30
  Family
• 3:31
  better
• 3:31
  later.
• 3:32
  So
• 3:33
  I
• 3:33
  know
• 3:33
  it
• 3:33
  used
• 3:33
  to
• 3:33
  feel
• 3:34
  very
• 3:34
  hospitally
• 3:35
  and
• 3:35
  there's
• 3:35
  probably
• 3:35
  a
• 3:35
  better
• 3:36
  word
• 3:36
  than
• 3:36
  that.
• 3:37
  Oh,
• 3:37
  but
• 3:38
  it
• 3:38
  paints
• 3:38
  the
• 3:38
  picture
• 3:39
  so
• 3:39
  beautifully,
• 3:39
  right?
• 3:39
  Oh,
• 3:40
  yeah.
• 3:40
  It
• 3:41
  was
• 3:41
  so
• 3:41
  sterile
• 3:42
  and
• 3:42
  it
• 3:42
  was
• 3:42
  so.
• 3:43
  It
• 3:43
  made
• 3:44
  the
• 3:44
  change
• 3:45
  in
• 3:45
  your
• 3:45
  life
• 3:45
  circumstance,
• 3:46
  I
• 3:46
  think,
• 3:47
  feel
• 3:47
  more
• 3:47
  like
• 3:48
  a
• 3:48
  punishment.
• 3:49
  And
• 3:49
  it
• 3:50
  didn't
• 3:50
  exactly
• 3:50
  encourage
• 3:51
  healing.
• 3:51
  There's
• 3:52
  so
• 3:52
  much
• 3:52
  more
• 3:53
  research
• 3:53
  and
• 3:53
  data
• 3:54
  out
• 3:54
  now
• 3:54
  about
• 3:55
  how
• 3:55
  your
• 3:55
  surroundings
• 3:57
  impacts
• 3:57
  your
• 3:58
  healing
• 3:58
  and
• 3:58
  your
• 3:58
  lifestyle.
• 4:00
  So
• 4:01
  having
• 4:01
  someone
• 4:01
  who's
• 4:02
  been
• 4:02
  injured
• 4:02
  or
• 4:02
  someone
• 4:03
  who's
• 4:03
  had
• 4:04
  life
• 4:04
  circumstance,
• 4:05
  that's
• 4:05
  changed
• 4:05
  the
• 4:06
  their
• 4:06
  mobility.
• 4:07
  Live
• 4:07
  in
• 4:08
  a
• 4:08
  place
• 4:09
  that
• 4:09
  just
• 4:09
  feels
• 4:10
  hospitally,
• 4:11
  it's
• 4:11
  not
• 4:11
  going
• 4:11
  to
• 4:12
  help
• 4:12
  them
• 4:12
  do
• 4:13
  better.
• 4:13
  It
• 4:13
  works
• 4:14
  against
• 4:14
  them.
• 4:14
  And
• 4:14
  so
• 4:15
  it's
• 4:15
  really
• 4:16
  great
• 4:17
  to
• 4:17
  see
• 4:17
  our
• 4:18
  industry
• 4:18
  answer
• 4:19
  that
• 4:19
  and
• 4:20
  start
• 4:20
  to
• 4:20
  respond
• 4:21
  to
• 4:21
  the
• 4:21
  data
• 4:21
  and
• 4:22
  bring
• 4:22
  more
• 4:23
  to
• 4:23
  the
• 4:23
  marketplace.
• 4:24
  That's
• 4:25
  not
• 4:25
  hospitally,
• 4:26
  that's
• 4:26
  cozy
• 4:27
  and
• 4:27
  warm
• 4:27
  and
• 4:28
  hospitable
• 4:29
  and
• 4:29
  more
• 4:30
  texture,
• 4:30
  more
• 4:30
  color,
• 4:31
  less
• 4:32
  hard
• 4:34
  reflective
• 4:34
  surfaces.
• 4:35
  It's
• 4:35
  a
• 4:36
  really
• 4:36
  great
• 4:36
  change.
• 4:37
  Nobody
• 4:38
  wants
• 4:38
  their
• 4:38
  house
• 4:39
  to
• 4:39
  look
• 4:39
  like
• 4:39
  that
• 4:40
  last
• 4:40
  minute
• 4:40
  hotel.
• 4:41
  You
• 4:41
  grabbed
• 4:41
  at
• 4:41
  the
• 4:41
  Motel
• 4:42
  6
• 4:42
  and
• 4:42
  you
• 4:42
  got
• 4:42
  the
• 4:43
  ADA
• 4:43
  unit
• 4:43
  right.
• 4:44
  It's
• 4:44
  just
• 4:45
  never
• 4:45
  far
• 4:46
  and
• 4:46
  it
• 4:46
  doesn't
• 4:46
  look
• 4:46
  good.
• 4:48
  Feels
• 4:48
  accessible.
• 4:49
  Ruth's
• 4:49
  like,
• 4:50
  I
• 4:50
  feel
• 4:50
  like
• 4:50
  I'm
• 4:50
  in
• 4:50
  trouble.
• 4:51
  Yeah.
• 4:51
  You
• 4:51
  get
• 4:52
  there
• 4:52
  late,
• 4:52
  your
• 4:52
  flight
• 4:53
  is
• 4:53
  delayed,
• 4:53
  you
• 4:54
  still
• 4:54
  call
• 4:54
  the
• 4:54
  hotel,
• 4:55
  please
• 4:55
  don't
• 4:55
  give
• 4:55
  my
• 4:56
  room
• 4:56
  away.
• 4:57
  And
• 4:57
  they
• 4:57
  put
• 4:57
  you
• 4:57
  in
• 4:57
  an
• 4:58
  accessible
• 4:58
  room.
• 4:59
  And
• 4:59
  it's
• 4:59
  just
• 5:00
  sad.
• 5:00
  It's
• 5:00
  so
• 5:01
  sad.
• 5:01
  You
• 5:01
  feel
• 5:02
  like
• 5:02
  you're.
• 5:02
  This
• 5:03
  is
• 5:03
  your
• 5:03
  punishment
• 5:04
  for
• 5:04
  being
• 5:04
  late
• 5:04
  on
• 5:04
  everything.
• 5:05
  Exactly.
• 5:06
  And
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  worst
• 5:07
  thing
• 5:07
  is,
• 5:07
  as
• 5:08
  designers,
• 5:08
  we
• 5:08
  all
• 5:08
  know
• 5:09
  that
• 5:09
  this
• 5:09
  could
• 5:09
  be
• 5:09
  done
• 5:10
  so
• 5:10
  much
• 5:10
  better
• 5:11
  and
• 5:12
  no
• 5:12
  one
• 5:12
  would
• 5:12
  even
• 5:12
  know
• 5:12
  that
• 5:13
  it
• 5:13
  was
• 5:13
  if
• 5:13
  it
• 5:13
  was
• 5:14
  done
• 5:14
  correctly.
• 5:14
  And
• 5:14
  that's
• 5:15
  the
• 5:15
  cool
• 5:15
  part.
• 5:15
  Yeah.
• 5:16
  I
• 5:16
  spent
• 5:16
  actually
• 5:17
  quite
• 5:17
  a
• 5:17
  long
• 5:17
  time
• 5:18
  working
• 5:18
  on
• 5:18
  an
• 5:18
  accessible
• 5:19
  project
• 5:19
  for
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  friend
• 5:20
  of
• 5:20
  mine
• 5:20
  who
• 5:21
  was
• 5:21
  in
• 5:21
  design
• 5:21
  school
• 5:22
  with
• 5:22
  me
• 5:22
  12
• 5:23
  years
• 5:23
  ago.
• 5:24
  And
• 5:24
  the
• 5:24
  year
• 5:24
  after
• 5:25
  we
• 5:25
  graduated,
• 5:26
  she
• 5:26
  and
• 5:26
  her
• 5:26
  mother
• 5:27
  were
• 5:27
  struck
• 5:27
  by
• 5:27
  a
• 5:27
  drunk
• 5:28
  driver.
• 5:29
  She
• 5:29
  lost
• 5:29
  her
• 5:30
  mother.
• 5:30
  She's
• 5:31
  been
• 5:31
  paralyzed
• 5:32
  from
• 5:32
  the
• 5:32
  chest
• 5:32
  down.
• 5:33
  And
• 5:33
  so
• 5:33
  I
• 5:33
  worked
• 5:33
  with
• 5:33
  the
• 5:33
  state
• 5:34
  of
• 5:34
  California
• 5:35
  forever
• 5:36
  government
• 5:37
  bureaucracy
• 5:38
  to
• 5:38
  get
• 5:39
  her
• 5:39
  space
• 5:39
  to
• 5:40
  a
• 5:40
  point
• 5:40
  where
• 5:40
  she
• 5:40
  could
• 5:40
  move
• 5:40
  back
• 5:41
  home
• 5:41
  because
• 5:41
  she
• 5:41
  had
• 5:42
  to
• 5:42
  go
• 5:42
  down
• 5:42
  to
• 5:43
  LA
• 5:43
  and
• 5:43
  live
• 5:43
  with
• 5:43
  her
• 5:44
  brother
• 5:44
  and
• 5:44
  his
• 5:44
  family
• 5:45
  because
• 5:46
  her
• 5:46
  home
• 5:46
  didn't
• 5:46
  work
• 5:46
  for
• 5:47
  her.
• 5:47
  So
• 5:48
  all
• 5:48
  the
• 5:48
  things
• 5:48
  I
• 5:49
  learned
• 5:49
  too,
• 5:49
  about
• 5:50
  how
• 5:50
  different
• 5:51
  injuries
• 5:52
  or
• 5:52
  different
• 5:52
  mobility
• 5:53
  ranges
• 5:54
  impact
• 5:55
  the
• 5:56
  design
• 5:56
  and
• 5:56
  the
• 5:57
  requirements
• 5:57
  that
• 5:57
  you
• 5:58
  have
• 5:58
  to
• 5:58
  have
• 5:58
  in
• 5:58
  place
• 5:58
  so
• 5:59
  that
• 5:59
  people
• 5:59
  use
• 6:00
  it
• 6:00
  and
• 6:00
  have
• 6:00
  some
• 6:00
  level
• 6:01
  of
• 6:01
  independence.
• 6:02
  I
• 6:02
  had
• 6:02
  no
• 6:02
  idea
• 6:04
  how
• 6:04
  important
• 6:05
  educated
• 6:06
  in
• 6:06
  that
• 6:06
  way
• 6:06
  really
• 6:07
  is.
• 6:07
  I
• 6:07
  think
• 6:08
  people
• 6:08
  make
• 6:08
  a
• 6:08
  lot
• 6:08
  of
• 6:08
  assumptions
• 6:09
  about
• 6:10
  what
• 6:10
  there's
• 6:11
  like
• 6:11
  oh,
• 6:11
  there's
• 6:11
  a
• 6:12
  grab
• 6:12
  bar.
• 6:12
  It'll
• 6:12
  be
• 6:12
  fine.
• 6:13
  Well,
• 6:13
  for
• 6:14
  some
• 6:14
  injuries,
• 6:14
  that's
• 6:14
  not
• 6:15
  really
• 6:15
  not
• 6:15
  true.
• 6:16
  So
• 6:17
  it's
• 6:17
  just,
• 6:18
  it's
• 6:18
  good
• 6:19
  to
• 6:20
  dive
• 6:20
  into
• 6:20
  things
• 6:21
  where
• 6:21
  you
• 6:22
  learn
• 6:22
  more
• 6:22
  about
• 6:22
  how
• 6:23
  to
• 6:23
  better
• 6:23
  serve
• 6:24
  people.
• 6:25
  And
• 6:25
  as
• 6:25
  designers,
• 6:26
  I
• 6:26
  know,
• 6:26
  I
• 6:27
  know
• 6:27
  you
• 6:27
  feel
• 6:27
  like
• 6:27
  this,
• 6:28
  Eric,
• 6:28
  like
• 6:28
  you,
• 6:28
  we're
• 6:29
  really
• 6:30
  stewards
• 6:30
  of
• 6:31
  our
• 6:31
  clients
• 6:31
  money
• 6:32
  and
• 6:32
  we're
• 6:32
  in
• 6:32
  a
• 6:33
  service
• 6:33
  industry
• 6:34
  to
• 6:34
  provide
• 6:35
  something
• 6:35
  that
• 6:36
  is
• 6:36
  really
• 6:36
  going
• 6:36
  to
• 6:36
  enhance
• 6:37
  someone's
• 6:37
  life.
• 6:38
  So
• 6:39
  this
• 6:39
  is
• 6:39
  a
• 6:39
  nice
• 6:39
  way
• 6:40
  add
• 6:41
  to
• 6:41
  that
• 6:42
  little
• 6:42
  toolkit
• 6:43
  of
• 6:43
  special
• 6:44
  things
• 6:44
  we
• 6:44
  know
• 6:44
  about
• 6:45
  to
• 6:45
  help
• 6:45
  people,
• 6:46
  you.
• 6:46
  Know,
• 6:46
  and
• 6:46
  we're
• 6:46
  seeing,
• 6:47
  we've,
• 6:47
  we've
• 6:48
  really
• 6:48
  gone
• 6:48
  from
• 6:48
  single
• 6:49
  family
• 6:49
  households
• 6:50
  to
• 6:51
  multi
• 6:52
  generational
• 6:52
  living
• 6:53
  now.
• 6:53
  And
• 6:53
  I
• 6:53
  think
• 6:53
  some
• 6:54
  of
• 6:54
  that
• 6:54
  has
• 6:54
  to
• 6:54
  do
• 6:54
  with
• 6:55
  culture.
• 6:55
  I
• 6:55
  think
• 6:56
  some
• 6:56
  of
• 6:56
  it
• 6:56
  has
• 6:56
  to
• 6:56
  do
• 6:56
  with
• 6:57
  housing
• 6:57
  costs.
• 6:58
  And
• 6:58
  a
• 6:59
  lot,
• 6:59
  a
• 6:59
  lot
• 6:59
  of
• 6:59
  that
• 7:00
  has
• 7:00
  to
• 7:00
  do
• 7:00
  with
• 7:00
  the
• 7:00
  older
• 7:01
  folks,
• 7:02
  our
• 7:02
  elders
• 7:03
  coming
• 7:03
  into
• 7:03
  homes
• 7:03
  because
• 7:04
  no
• 7:04
  one
• 7:05
  can
• 7:05
  pay
• 7:05
  the
• 7:05
  6,
• 7:06
  7,
• 7:06
  8,
• 7:07
  $10,000
• 7:07
  a
• 7:07
  month
• 7:08
  to
• 7:08
  have
• 7:08
  them
• 7:09
  in
• 7:09
  an
• 7:09
  assisted
• 7:09
  living
• 7:10
  because
• 7:11
  no
• 7:11
  one
• 7:11
  knew
• 7:11
  at
• 7:12
  that
• 7:12
  point
• 7:12
  when
• 7:12
  they
• 7:12
  were
• 7:13
  younger
• 7:13
  that
• 7:13
  it
• 7:13
  was
• 7:14
  actually
• 7:14
  going
• 7:14
  to
• 7:14
  cost
• 7:14
  that
• 7:15
  much.
• 7:15
  Well,
• 7:15
  also
• 7:16
  I
• 7:16
  don't
• 7:16
  think
• 7:16
  that
• 7:17
  people
• 7:17
  understand.
• 7:18
  Like,
• 7:19
  like
• 7:19
  my
• 7:19
  son
• 7:19
  is
• 7:20
  24,
• 7:20
  can
• 7:20
  hear
• 7:21
  him
• 7:21
  in
• 7:22
  the
• 7:22
  background.
• 7:22
  He
• 7:23
  is
• 7:23
  64
• 7:24
  and
• 7:24
  he
• 7:24
  is
• 7:24
  so
• 7:25
  tall
• 7:25
  and
• 7:25
  he
• 7:25
  is
• 7:26
  really,
• 7:26
  really
• 7:26
  bright
• 7:27
  and
• 7:27
  he
• 7:27
  has
• 7:28
  everything
• 7:28
  going
• 7:28
  for
• 7:29
  him.
• 7:29
  Injury
• 7:30
  or
• 7:31
  old
• 7:31
  age
• 7:32
  is
• 7:32
  not
• 7:32
  even,
• 7:33
  thank
• 7:33
  God,
• 7:34
  pray
• 7:34
  to
• 7:34
  God,
• 7:35
  protect
• 7:35
  him
• 7:35
  forever.
• 7:37
  Not
• 7:37
  on
• 7:37
  his
• 7:37
  radar
• 7:38
  at
• 7:38
  all.
• 7:38
  Right.
• 7:39
  So
• 7:40
  I
• 7:40
  think
• 7:40
  a
• 7:40
  lot
• 7:40
  of
• 7:41
  people
• 7:41
  make
• 7:41
  choices
• 7:42
  financially
• 7:43
  too.
• 7:43
  It
• 7:44
  takes
• 7:44
  people
• 7:44
  a
• 7:44
  while
• 7:44
  to
• 7:45
  realize,
• 7:45
  oh,
• 7:46
  these
• 7:46
  things
• 7:46
  that
• 7:47
  I'm
• 7:47
  doing,
• 7:47
  these
• 7:47
  choices
• 7:48
  that
• 7:48
  I'm
• 7:48
  making
• 7:48
  will
• 7:48
  impact
• 7:49
  me
• 7:49
  in
• 7:49
  the
• 7:49
  future.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:51
  like
• 7:51
  I
• 7:51
  have
• 7:52
  a
• 7:52
  really
• 7:52
  sweet
• 7:53
  nurse
• 7:53
  and
• 7:53
  she
• 7:53
  was
• 7:54
  a
• 7:54
  nurse
• 7:54
  manager
• 7:55
  and
• 7:55
  we
• 7:55
  redid
• 7:56
  her
• 7:56
  entire
• 7:57
  master
• 7:57
  suite
• 7:57
  to
• 7:58
  accommodate
• 7:58
  her
• 7:58
  and
• 7:59
  her
• 7:59
  husband
• 7:59
  in
• 7:59
  her
• 7:59
  retirement
• 8:00
  years
• 8:01
  because
• 8:01
  their
• 8:01
  home
• 8:01
  is
• 8:02
  paid
• 8:02
  for.
• 8:03
  And
• 8:03
  at
• 8:04
  the
• 8:04
  time
• 8:04
  when
• 8:04
  they
• 8:04
  bought
• 8:05
  the
• 8:05
  home,
• 8:05
  it
• 8:05
  was
• 8:05
  very
• 8:06
  chopped
• 8:06
  up.
• 8:06
  It
• 8:07
  was
• 8:07
  a
• 8:07
  huge
• 8:07
  footprint
• 8:08
  for
• 8:08
  a
• 8:08
  master
• 8:08
  suite.
• 8:09
  Huge.
• 8:10
  Could
• 8:10
  have
• 8:10
  been
• 8:11
  three
• 8:11
  bedrooms.
• 8:12
  But
• 8:12
  it
• 8:13
  allowed
• 8:13
  us
• 8:13
  the
• 8:13
  opportunity
• 8:14
  to
• 8:14
  expand
• 8:16
  the
• 8:16
  toileting
• 8:17
  area.
• 8:17
  We
• 8:18
  put
• 8:18
  in
• 8:18
  a
• 8:18
  neorest
• 8:19
  from
• 8:19
  Toto
• 8:20
  because
• 8:21
  as
• 8:21
  a
• 8:22
  nurse
• 8:22
  manager
• 8:22
  she
• 8:23
  saw
• 8:23
  repeat
• 8:24
  coming
• 8:24
  to
• 8:24
  the
• 8:25
  hospital
• 8:25
  with
• 8:25
  UIs
• 8:26
  and
• 8:26
  all
• 8:26
  that
• 8:26
  and
• 8:26
  the
• 8:26
  data
• 8:27
  on
• 8:27
  clean
• 8:28
  toileting
• 8:28
  and
• 8:29
  how
• 8:29
  that
• 8:29
  impacts
• 8:30
  your
• 8:30
  health
• 8:30
  and
• 8:30
  gives
• 8:31
  you
• 8:31
  so
• 8:31
  much
• 8:31
  better
• 8:32
  health
• 8:32
  and
• 8:32
  many
• 8:33
  less
• 8:33
  trips
• 8:33
  to
• 8:33
  the
• 8:34
  hospital,
• 8:35
  widened
• 8:35
  all
• 8:35
  the
• 8:35
  hallways,
• 8:36
  did
• 8:36
  all
• 8:36
  of
• 8:36
  that
• 8:37
  because
• 8:37
  when
• 8:37
  she
• 8:37
  again,
• 8:38
  she
• 8:38
  bought
• 8:38
  the
• 8:38
  house,
• 8:38
  she
• 8:39
  was
• 8:39
  younger,
• 8:39
  she
• 8:39
  didn't
• 8:39
  think
• 8:40
  about
• 8:40
  it,
• 8:40
  but
• 8:40
  she
• 8:40
  knows
• 8:41
  now
• 8:42
  I
• 8:42
  want
• 8:42
  to
• 8:42
  stay
• 8:42
  as
• 8:43
  paid
• 8:43
  for.
• 8:44
  These
• 8:44
  are
• 8:44
  the
• 8:44
  changes
• 8:45
  I
• 8:45
  need
• 8:45
  to
• 8:45
  make.
• 8:46
  We
• 8:46
  had
• 8:46
  a
• 8:46
  great
• 8:47
  time
• 8:47
  doing
• 8:47
  it.
• 8:47
  And
• 8:48
  you
• 8:48
  would
• 8:48
  never
• 8:48
  know.
• 8:49
  It
• 8:49
  is
• 8:49
  so
• 8:50
  pretty
• 8:51
  and
• 8:51
  she's
• 8:51
  so
• 8:51
  cute
• 8:51
  and
• 8:52
  she's
• 8:52
  so
• 8:52
  happy
• 8:52
  with
• 8:53
  it.
• 8:53
  But
• 8:54
  it
• 8:54
  will
• 8:54
  work
• 8:54
  for
• 8:55
  her
• 8:55
  forever,
• 8:56
  which
• 8:57
  is
• 8:57
  very
• 8:58
  important.
• 8:58
  That
• 8:59
  is
• 8:59
  so
• 8:59
  important.
• 8:59
  I
• 9:00
  remember
• 9:00
  when
• 9:00
  my
• 9:00
  parents,
• 9:01
  I
• 9:01
  grew
• 9:01
  up
• 9:01
  with
• 9:01
  three
• 9:02
  younger
• 9:03
  brothers
• 9:03
  and
• 9:04
  we
• 9:04
  had
• 9:04
  this
• 9:04
  big
• 9:05
  70s
• 9:05
  home.
• 9:06
  Grew
• 9:06
  up
• 9:06
  with,
• 9:07
  with
• 9:07
  seven
• 9:08
  levels,
• 9:08
  4,000
• 9:09
  square
• 9:09
  feet.
• 9:10
  When
• 9:10
  my
• 9:11
  parents
• 9:11
  were
• 9:11
  getting
• 9:11
  up
• 9:11
  there
• 9:12
  a
• 9:12
  little
• 9:12
  more
• 9:12
  in
• 9:12
  the
• 9:12
  age
• 9:12
  getting
• 9:13
  into
• 9:13
  their
• 9:13
  70s,
• 9:14
  we
• 9:14
  went,
• 9:14
  okay
• 9:14
  guys,
• 9:15
  we
• 9:15
  got
• 9:15
  to
• 9:15
  get
• 9:15
  you
• 9:15
  out
• 9:15
  of
• 9:15
  all
• 9:16
  these
• 9:16
  seven
• 9:17
  different
• 9:17
  staircases
• 9:18
  because
• 9:18
  this
• 9:18
  is
• 9:18
  going
• 9:19
  to
• 9:19
  be
• 9:19
  almost
• 9:19
  impossible
• 9:20
  for
• 9:21
  you
• 9:21
  guys
• 9:21
  to
• 9:21
  safely
• 9:22
  navigate.
• 9:22
  So
• 9:22
  we
• 9:23
  designed
• 9:23
  out
• 9:23
  a
• 9:23
  new
• 9:23
  home
• 9:24
  for
• 9:24
  them.
• 9:24
  Was
• 9:25
  really
• 9:25
  cool
• 9:25
  as
• 9:25
  a
• 9:25
  designer
• 9:26
  15
• 9:26
  years
• 9:27
  ago
• 9:27
  to
• 9:27
  be
• 9:27
  able
• 9:27
  to
• 9:27
  play
• 9:27
  with
• 9:28
  that
• 9:28
  and
• 9:28
  do
• 9:28
  so
• 9:28
  many
• 9:29
  things
• 9:29
  that
• 9:29
  no
• 9:29
  one
• 9:30
  ever
• 9:30
  noticed.
• 9:30
  The
• 9:31
  36
• 9:31
  inches
• 9:32
  wide
• 9:32
  doorways
• 9:33
  everywhere,
• 9:34
  no
• 9:35
  steps
• 9:35
  up
• 9:35
  to
• 9:35
  the
• 9:36
  front.
• 9:36
  The
• 9:37
  driveway
• 9:37
  was
• 9:38
  a
• 9:38
  little
• 9:38
  bit
• 9:38
  higher
• 9:39
  so
• 9:39
  it
• 9:39
  could
• 9:39
  meander
• 9:40
  a
• 9:40
  walkway
• 9:41
  up
• 9:41
  to
• 9:41
  the
• 9:41
  door
• 9:42
  of
• 9:42
  steps.
• 9:43
  And
• 9:43
  so
• 9:44
  many
• 9:44
  basic
• 9:44
  things
• 9:44
  you
• 9:45
  can
• 9:45
  do
• 9:45
  in
• 9:45
  design.
• 9:46
  Just
• 9:46
  example
• 9:47
  the
• 9:47
  Neorest.
• 9:48
  These
• 9:48
  are
• 9:48
  things
• 9:48
  that
• 9:48
  you
• 9:48
  would
• 9:49
  see
• 9:49
  in
• 9:49
  every
• 9:50
  other
• 9:50
  home
• 9:50
  out
• 9:50
  there.
• 9:51
  But
• 9:51
  it
• 9:52
  really
• 9:52
  gives
• 9:52
  people
• 9:53
  so
• 9:53
  much
• 9:53
  more
• 9:53
  freedom
• 9:54
  just
• 9:54
  in
• 9:54
  the
• 9:54
  basic
• 9:55
  design
• 9:55
  elements
• 9:55
  that
• 9:56
  you're
• 9:56
  sticking.
• 9:56
  Agreed.
• 9:57
  And
• 9:58
  it's
• 9:58
  not
• 9:59
  when.
• 9:59
  Well,
• 10:00
  when
• 10:00
  you
• 10:00
  talk
• 10:00
  about
• 10:01
  home
• 10:01
  for
• 10:01
  all
• 10:01
  ages,
• 10:02
  it's
• 10:02
  a
• 10:02
  lot
• 10:02
  of.
• 10:03
  It's
• 10:03
  the
• 10:03
  bathroom
• 10:03
  and
• 10:04
  our
• 10:04
  puritanical
• 10:05
  world
• 10:06
  in
• 10:06
  the
• 10:06
  United
• 10:07
  States,
• 10:07
  people
• 10:08
  are
• 10:08
  very
• 10:08
  uncomfortable
• 10:09
  to
• 10:09
  talk
• 10:09
  about
• 10:09
  it.
• 10:09
  It's
• 10:10
  not,
• 10:10
  it's
• 10:11
  not
• 10:11
  just
• 10:11
  something
• 10:11
  you
• 10:11
  talk
• 10:12
  about
• 10:12
  every
• 10:12
  day,
• 10:13
  but
• 10:13
  it's
• 10:14
  hugely
• 10:14
  important
• 10:15
  to
• 10:16
  your
• 10:16
  health
• 10:17
  and
• 10:17
  there
• 10:18
  are
• 10:18
  a
• 10:18
  lot
• 10:19
  of
• 10:19
  things
• 10:19
  that
• 10:20
  all
• 10:21
  the
• 10:21
  different
• 10:21
  functions.
• 10:22
  So
• 10:23
  for
• 10:23
  your
• 10:23
  listeners
• 10:24
  who
• 10:24
  don't
• 10:24
  know
• 10:24
  and
• 10:24
  Neorest
• 10:25
  or
• 10:26
  even
• 10:26
  like
• 10:27
  the.
• 10:27
  But
• 10:27
  DC
• 10:28
  Toto
• 10:28
  makes
• 10:28
  this
• 10:29
  great
• 10:29
  line
• 10:29
  of
• 10:29
  products
• 10:30
  that
• 10:30
  help
• 10:30
  people
• 10:31
  with
• 10:31
  that
• 10:32
  the
• 10:32
  warm
• 10:32
  water
• 10:33
  help
• 10:34
  people
• 10:34
  who
• 10:34
  have
• 10:35
  trouble
• 10:35
  being
• 10:36
  clean.
• 10:37
  Making
• 10:37
  sure
• 10:37
  you're
• 10:37
  dry
• 10:38
  after
• 10:38
  all
• 10:38
  of
• 10:39
  that's
• 10:39
  done,
• 10:39
  especially
• 10:39
  as
• 10:40
  you
• 10:40
  age,
• 10:40
  it's
• 10:41
  critical
• 10:42
  because
• 10:43
  the,
• 10:43
  the
• 10:43
  hard
• 10:44
  thing
• 10:44
  on
• 10:44
  older
• 10:45
  people
• 10:45
  too,
• 10:46
  other
• 10:46
  than
• 10:46
  the
• 10:47
  financial
• 10:47
  expense
• 10:47
  of
• 10:48
  going
• 10:48
  in
• 10:48
  and
• 10:48
  out
• 10:48
  of
• 10:48
  the
• 10:48
  home
• 10:49
  and
• 10:49
  those
• 10:49
  homes,
• 10:50
  those
• 10:50
  rest
• 10:50
  homes,
• 10:51
  they
• 10:51
  don't
• 10:51
  have
• 10:52
  good
• 10:53
  toileting
• 10:53
  situation.
• 10:54
  They
• 10:54
  don't
• 10:54
  have
• 10:55
  people
• 10:55
  thinking
• 10:55
  on
• 10:56
  you.
• 10:56
  There's
• 10:57
  horror
• 10:57
  stories
• 10:58
  coming
• 10:58
  out
• 10:58
  of
• 10:58
  there.
• 10:59
  But
• 10:59
  it's.
• 11:00
  Oh,
• 11:00
  I've
• 11:00
  seen
• 11:01
  it's,
• 11:02
  it's,
• 11:02
  it's
• 11:03
  a,
• 11:03
  it's
• 11:03
  a
• 11:03
  bad
• 11:04
  situation
• 11:04
  at
• 11:05
  best
• 11:05
  in
• 11:05
  most
• 11:05
  places.
• 11:06
  And
• 11:06
  now
• 11:07
  it's.
• 11:07
  My
• 11:07
  mom
• 11:08
  was
• 11:08
  in
• 11:08
  one
• 11:08
  here
• 11:09
  a
• 11:09
  few
• 11:09
  years
• 11:09
  ago
• 11:09
  because
• 11:10
  she
• 11:10
  had
• 11:10
  to
• 11:10
  have
• 11:10
  some
• 11:10
  heart
• 11:10
  surgery.
• 11:11
  I
• 11:12
  wanted
• 11:12
  to
• 11:12
  get
• 11:12
  her
• 11:12
  into
• 11:13
  shape
• 11:13
  so
• 11:13
  she
• 11:13
  could
• 11:14
  be
• 11:14
  home
• 11:14
  and
• 11:14
  take
• 11:14
  care
• 11:14
  of
• 11:15
  herself.
• 11:15
  And
• 11:16
  once
• 11:16
  she
• 11:17
  was
• 11:17
  in
• 11:17
  there
• 11:17
  and
• 11:17
  it
• 11:18
  was
• 11:18
  during
• 11:18
  COVID
• 11:18
  it
• 11:19
  was
• 11:19
  all
• 11:19
  we
• 11:19
  could
• 11:19
  do
• 11:19
  to
• 11:20
  get
• 11:20
  her
• 11:20
  up
• 11:20
  to
• 11:20
  speed
• 11:20
  and
• 11:20
  get
• 11:21
  her
• 11:21
  out
• 11:21
  of
• 11:21
  there
• 11:21
  because
• 11:22
  had
• 11:22
  to
• 11:22
  be
• 11:22
  there
• 11:23
  to
• 11:23
  get
• 11:23
  so
• 11:23
  she
• 11:23
  could
• 11:23
  move
• 11:24
  around.
• 11:24
  But
• 11:25
  it
• 11:25
  was
• 11:25
  a
• 11:25
  dangerous
• 11:26
  situation.
• 11:26
  Yeah.
• 11:27
  And
• 11:27
  the
• 11:27
  back
• 11:28
  and
• 11:28
  forth
• 11:28
  to
• 11:28
  hospitals.
• 11:29
  That's
• 11:29
  the
• 11:29
  thing.
• 11:29
  I
• 11:30
  have
• 11:30
  another
• 11:30
  client
• 11:30
  whose
• 11:31
  mother
• 11:31
  was
• 11:31
  staying
• 11:32
  with
• 11:32
  her.
• 11:33
  She
• 11:33
  had
• 11:33
  recurrent
• 11:34
  UTIs
• 11:35
  just
• 11:35
  and
• 11:35
  she
• 11:35
  was
• 11:36
  in
• 11:36
  and
• 11:36
  out
• 11:36
  and
• 11:36
  in
• 11:36
  and
• 11:36
  out
• 11:37
  and
• 11:37
  in
• 11:37
  and
• 11:37
  out.
• 11:37
  And
• 11:37
  the
• 11:37
  stress
• 11:38
  that
• 11:38
  that
• 11:38
  puts
• 11:39
  on
• 11:39
  someone
• 11:39
  who's
• 11:39
  older,
• 11:40
  not
• 11:40
  being
• 11:41
  in
• 11:41
  their
• 11:41
  own
• 11:41
  environment,
• 11:42
  not
• 11:42
  being
• 11:42
  near
• 11:42
  their
• 11:43
  family,
• 11:43
  not
• 11:43
  having
• 11:44
  their
• 11:44
  little
• 11:44
  creature
• 11:45
  comforts
• 11:45
  and
• 11:45
  things
• 11:46
  is
• 11:46
  just
• 11:47
  super
• 11:47
  tough.
• 11:48
  And
• 11:48
  then
• 11:48
  she
• 11:48
  put
• 11:48
  a
• 11:48
  neo
• 11:49
  rest
• 11:49
  that
• 11:49
  well
• 11:49
  the
• 11:50
  little
• 11:50
  toilet.
• 11:51
  I'm
• 11:51
  not
• 11:51
  seeing
• 11:51
  it
• 11:52
  the
• 11:52
  right
• 11:52
  way.
• 11:52
  There's
• 11:53
  a
• 11:53
  everyone
• 11:54
  who's
• 11:54
  listening
• 11:54
  to
• 11:54
  Eric
• 11:55
  today,
• 11:56
  there's
• 11:56
  this
• 11:56
  really
• 11:56
  cool
• 11:57
  toilet
• 11:57
  seat.
• 11:58
  You
• 11:58
  just
• 11:58
  plug
• 11:59
  it
• 11:59
  into
• 11:59
  the
• 11:59
  wall,
• 11:59
  you
• 12:00
  attach
• 12:00
  it
• 12:00
  to
• 12:00
  your
• 12:00
  toilet
• 12:01
  and
• 12:01
  it's
• 12:01
  by
• 12:01
  Toto
• 12:02
  and
• 12:03
  it
• 12:03
  does
• 12:03
  all
• 12:03
  of
• 12:04
  the
• 12:04
  things
• 12:04
  that
• 12:04
  the
• 12:04
  neorest
• 12:05
  does.
• 12:05
  So
• 12:05
  if
• 12:05
  you
• 12:05
  don't
• 12:05
  have
• 12:05
  a
• 12:05
  neorest
• 12:06
  you
• 12:06
  can
• 12:06
  do
• 12:07
  this.
• 12:07
  But
• 12:08
  she
• 12:08
  installed
• 12:09
  that
• 12:09
  in
• 12:09
  her
• 12:09
  guest
• 12:09
  room
• 12:10
  and
• 12:10
  then
• 12:10
  her
• 12:11
  mom
• 12:11
  was
• 12:11
  fine,
• 12:12
  didn't
• 12:12
  have
• 12:12
  to
• 12:12
  go
• 12:12
  back
• 12:12
  to
• 12:12
  the
• 12:13
  hospital.
• 12:13
  So
• 12:14
  it
• 12:14
  does
• 12:14
  make
• 12:14
  a
• 12:14
  big
• 12:15
  difference.
• 12:15
  Just
• 12:16
  that
• 12:16
  alone
• 12:17
  does.
• 12:17
  And
• 12:17
  it
• 12:17
  doesn't
• 12:18
  matter
• 12:18
  if
• 12:18
  you're
• 12:19
  a
• 12:20
  25
• 12:20
  year
• 12:20
  old
• 12:21
  kid
• 12:21
  out
• 12:21
  there
• 12:21
  playing
• 12:22
  in
• 12:22
  sports,
• 12:22
  I'm
• 12:22
  going
• 12:22
  to
• 12:23
  say
• 12:23
  a
• 12:23
  kid
• 12:23
  because
• 12:23
  you're
• 12:23
  off
• 12:24
  doing
• 12:24
  the.
• 12:24
  You're
• 12:25
  up
• 12:25
  playing
• 12:25
  in
• 12:25
  a
• 12:25
  soccer
• 12:26
  league
• 12:26
  or
• 12:26
  something
• 12:26
  after
• 12:27
  work
• 12:27
  or
• 12:27
  whatever
• 12:28
  and
• 12:28
  you
• 12:28
  get
• 12:28
  yourself
• 12:28
  hurt.
• 12:29
  Any
• 12:30
  of
• 12:30
  these
• 12:30
  things
• 12:30
  are
• 12:31
  great
• 12:31
  for
• 12:31
  everybody.
• 12:31
  When
• 12:32
  people
• 12:32
  come
• 12:32
  over
• 12:32
  and
• 12:33
  use
• 12:33
  mine
• 12:33
  at
• 12:33
  my
• 12:33
  house
• 12:34
  that
• 12:34
  are
• 12:34
  completely
• 12:35
  scared
• 12:35
  of
• 12:35
  them,
• 12:35
  they've
• 12:36
  never
• 12:36
  seen
• 12:36
  them,
• 12:36
  never
• 12:37
  used
• 12:37
  them,
• 12:37
  they're
• 12:37
  freaked
• 12:38
  out
• 12:38
  by
• 12:38
  it.
• 12:39
  They
• 12:39
  walk
• 12:39
  out
• 12:39
  and
• 12:39
  go
• 12:40
  well
• 12:40
  that
• 12:41
  was
• 12:41
  pretty
• 12:41
  cool.
• 12:42
  And
• 12:42
  boy,
• 12:43
  I
• 12:43
  gotta
• 12:43
  have
• 12:43
  a
• 12:43
  heated
• 12:44
  toilet
• 12:44
  seat.
• 12:45
  I
• 12:45
  always
• 12:45
  look
• 12:45
  over
• 12:45
  to
• 12:45
  the
• 12:46
  guest
• 12:46
  bathroom,
• 12:46
  right.
• 12:47
  The
• 12:47
  heated
• 12:47
  seat
• 12:48
  is
• 12:48
  so
• 12:48
  cute.
• 12:48
  My
• 12:49
  mother
• 12:49
  in
• 12:49
  law
• 12:49
  who
• 12:50
  is
• 12:50
  very
• 12:51
  prim
• 12:51
  and
• 12:51
  proper
• 12:52
  who
• 12:52
  I
• 12:53
  love
• 12:53
  very
• 12:53
  much
• 12:53
  and
• 12:54
  loves
• 12:54
  a
• 12:54
  good
• 12:54
  martini
• 12:55
  but
• 12:55
  she
• 12:56
  used
• 12:56
  the
• 12:57
  our
• 12:57
  neorest
• 12:58
  in
• 12:58
  our
• 12:58
  guest
• 12:59
  bathroom
• 13:00
  and
• 13:00
  she
• 13:00
  came
• 13:01
  back
• 13:01
  out
• 13:01
  and
• 13:01
  she
• 13:01
  said
• 13:02
  when
• 13:02
  toilet
• 13:02
  seat
• 13:03
  is
• 13:03
  keep
• 13:03
  it.
• 13:03
  I
• 13:04
  said
• 13:04
  I
• 13:04
  know,
• 13:04
  I
• 13:05
  know.
• 13:05
  Diane,
• 13:06
  you
• 13:06
  can
• 13:06
  have
• 13:06
  one
• 13:06
  too
• 13:06
  if
• 13:07
  you
• 13:07
  would
• 13:07
  like.
• 13:08
  Oh,
• 13:08
  I
• 13:08
  don't
• 13:08
  know.
• 13:09
  You
• 13:09
  feel.
• 13:09
  Yeah,
• 13:09
  it's
• 13:10
  very
• 13:10
  impressive
• 13:10
  for
• 13:11
  the
• 13:11
  mouth.
• 13:11
  Proper
• 13:12
  kind
• 13:12
  of
• 13:12
  like
• 13:12
  oh,
• 13:13
  that
• 13:13
  was
• 13:13
  cool.
• 13:14
  You
• 13:14
  know
• 13:14
  and
• 13:14
  it's
• 13:15
  so
• 13:15
  funny
• 13:15
  to
• 13:16
  watch
• 13:16
  people.
• 13:17
  The
• 13:17
  door
• 13:18
  for
• 13:18
  ours
• 13:18
  is
• 13:18
  right
• 13:18
  off
• 13:19
  of
• 13:19
  the
• 13:19
  entry
• 13:20
  kitchen,
• 13:20
  living
• 13:21
  room
• 13:21
  kind
• 13:21
  of
• 13:21
  area
• 13:22
  right
• 13:22
  there.
• 13:22
  And
• 13:23
  it's
• 13:23
  so
• 13:23
  fun
• 13:23
  when
• 13:24
  people
• 13:24
  go
• 13:24
  in
• 13:24
  there
• 13:24
  and
• 13:25
  they
• 13:25
  come
• 13:25
  out
• 13:25
  and
• 13:26
  they're
• 13:26
  like
• 13:26
  oh.
• 13:27
  And
• 13:27
  it's
• 13:27
  so
• 13:27
  hilarious
• 13:28
  to
• 13:29
  watch
• 13:29
  that
• 13:30
  whole
• 13:30
  experience
• 13:30
  with
• 13:31
  that.
• 13:31
  And
• 13:31
  every
• 13:32
  time
• 13:32
  it's
• 13:32
  a
• 13:32
  conversation
• 13:33
  piece
• 13:33
  and
• 13:33
  then,
• 13:34
  then
• 13:34
  all
• 13:34
  of
• 13:34
  a
• 13:34
  sudden
• 13:34
  there's
• 13:35
  like
• 13:35
  a
• 13:35
  line
• 13:35
  for
• 13:35
  the
• 13:35
  bathroom.
• 13:36
  And
• 13:36
  I
• 13:36
  think
• 13:36
  that
• 13:36
  people
• 13:36
  are
• 13:36
  just
• 13:37
  going
• 13:37
  in
• 13:37
  to
• 13:37
  explore.
• 13:38
  It's
• 13:38
  like,
• 13:38
  yeah,
• 13:38
  the
• 13:39
  super
• 13:39
  bowl
• 13:39
  party
• 13:40
  ends
• 13:40
  up
• 13:40
  being
• 13:40
  a
• 13:40
  tour
• 13:41
  of
• 13:41
  the
• 13:41
  bathroom.
• 13:42
  So
• 13:43
  funny
• 13:43
  how
• 13:43
  that
• 13:43
  ends
• 13:44
  up
• 13:44
  that
• 13:44
  way.
• 13:44
  Announce
• 13:45
  the
• 13:45
  conversation
• 13:46
  piece.
• 13:47
  But
• 13:47
  I
• 13:47
  have
• 13:47
  to
• 13:48
  think.
• 13:48
  I
• 13:48
  have
• 13:48
  to
• 13:48
  think
• 13:49
  in
• 13:49
  the
• 13:49
  United
• 13:50
  States
• 13:50
  at
• 13:50
  least
• 13:51
  Covid
• 13:51
  and
• 13:51
  our
• 13:52
  toilet
• 13:52
  paper
• 13:52
  shortage
• 13:53
  of
• 13:53
  kind
• 13:54
  of
• 13:54
  kicking
• 13:54
  the
• 13:54
  conversation
• 13:55
  door
• 13:56
  open
• 13:56
  on
• 13:56
  that
• 13:56
  as
• 13:57
  seemed
• 13:58
  like
• 13:58
  we
• 13:58
  weren't
• 13:59
  really
• 13:59
  getting
• 13:59
  anywhere
• 14:00
  up
• 14:00
  to
• 14:00
  that.
• 14:01
  And
• 14:01
  then
• 14:01
  all
• 14:01
  of
• 14:01
  a
• 14:01
  sudden
• 14:02
  we
• 14:02
  caught
• 14:02
  up
• 14:02
  with
• 14:03
  Asia
• 14:04
  and
• 14:04
  Europe
• 14:04
  on
• 14:05
  being
• 14:05
  accepting
• 14:06
  of
• 14:06
  something
• 14:07
  outside
• 14:08
  of
• 14:08
  the
• 14:09
  stuff
• 14:09
  we've
• 14:09
  been
• 14:09
  doing
• 14:09
  for
• 14:10
  the
• 14:10
  last
• 14:10
  hundred
• 14:10
  years.
• 14:11
  I
• 14:11
  think,
• 14:12
  well,
• 14:13
  Covid
• 14:13
  did
• 14:14
  shift
• 14:14
  all
• 14:14
  of
• 14:14
  us
• 14:15
  to
• 14:15
  a
• 14:16
  heightened
• 14:16
  awareness
• 14:16
  of
• 14:17
  wellness
• 14:18
  and
• 14:18
  what
• 14:18
  we
• 14:19
  have
• 14:19
  to
• 14:19
  do
• 14:19
  to
• 14:19
  stay
• 14:19
  healthy.
• 14:20
  Realistically
• 14:22
  that
• 14:22
  I
• 14:22
  don't
• 14:23
  think
• 14:23
  any
• 14:23
  of
• 14:23
  us
• 14:23
  really,
• 14:24
  none
• 14:24
  of
• 14:24
  us
• 14:25
  were
• 14:25
  ever
• 14:25
  so
• 14:25
  sick
• 14:25
  that
• 14:26
  it
• 14:26
  shut
• 14:26
  the
• 14:26
  world
• 14:26
  down.
• 14:27
  So
• 14:28
  it
• 14:28
  made
• 14:28
  a
• 14:29
  big
• 14:29
  difference.
• 14:29
  I
• 14:29
  know
• 14:29
  I
• 14:30
  do
• 14:30
  a
• 14:30
  lot
• 14:31
  to
• 14:31
  try
• 14:31
  to
• 14:32
  stay
• 14:32
  healthy
• 14:32
  and
• 14:32
  well
• 14:33
  and
• 14:33
  in
• 14:33
  front
• 14:33
  of
• 14:33
  clients
• 14:34
  and
• 14:34
  not
• 14:34
  delay
• 14:34
  projects
• 14:35
  and
• 14:35
  not
• 14:36
  mess
• 14:36
  up
• 14:36
  someone's
• 14:37
  expectations.
• 14:37
  But
• 14:38
  all
• 14:38
  those
• 14:39
  different
• 14:39
  little
• 14:40
  health
• 14:41
  and
• 14:41
  care
• 14:42
  rituals
• 14:42
  that
• 14:42
  you
• 14:43
  do
• 14:43
  stay
• 14:44
  well
• 14:45
  are
• 14:46
  certainly
• 14:46
  much
• 14:46
  more
• 14:47
  important
• 14:47
  than
• 14:47
  they
• 14:47
  were
• 14:48
  then.
• 14:48
  In
• 14:49
  2019,
• 14:49
  it
• 14:49
  wasn't
• 14:50
  the
• 14:50
  same
• 14:50
  at
• 14:50
  all.
• 14:50
  It's
• 14:51
  a
• 14:51
  totally
• 14:51
  different
• 14:51
  world
• 14:52
  now.
• 14:52
  It's
• 14:53
  going
• 14:53
  to
• 14:53
  end
• 14:53
  up
• 14:53
  being
• 14:53
  healthier
• 14:54
  for
• 14:54
  everybody.
• 14:54
  We
• 14:54
  can
• 14:54
  all
• 14:55
  debate
• 14:55
  now
• 14:56
  how
• 14:56
  bad
• 14:56
  that
• 14:56
  was
• 14:57
  back
• 14:57
  then,
• 14:57
  but
• 14:57
  the
• 14:57
  outcome
• 14:58
  now
• 14:58
  is
• 14:59
  that
• 14:59
  we
• 14:59
  see
• 14:59
  that
• 14:59
  or
• 15:00
  at
• 15:00
  least
• 15:00
  more
• 15:00
  of,
• 15:01
  more
• 15:01
  aware
• 15:02
  of
• 15:02
  what
• 15:02
  the
• 15:02
  situation
• 15:03
  is
• 15:03
  out
• 15:03
  there
• 15:03
  for
• 15:03
  their
• 15:03
  own
• 15:04
  selves,
• 15:04
  what
• 15:05
  they
• 15:05
  can
• 15:05
  do
• 15:05
  to
• 15:06
  be
• 15:06
  healthier.
• 15:07
  And
• 15:07
  we
• 15:07
  start
• 15:08
  looking
• 15:08
  forward
• 15:09
  and
• 15:09
  planning
• 15:09
  ahead.
• 15:10
  A
• 15:10
  little
• 15:10
  bit
• 15:10
  of
• 15:10
  okay,
• 15:11
  now
• 15:12
  I'm
• 15:12
  45
• 15:12
  years
• 15:13
  old
• 15:13
  now.
• 15:13
  Boy,
• 15:14
  is
• 15:14
  mom
• 15:14
  going
• 15:14
  to
• 15:15
  have
• 15:15
  to
• 15:15
  come
• 15:15
  live
• 15:15
  with
• 15:15
  me
• 15:15
  in
• 15:16
  five
• 15:16
  years.
• 15:16
  What's
• 15:17
  the
• 15:17
  plan
• 15:17
  there?
• 15:18
  And
• 15:18
  so
• 15:18
  people
• 15:19
  I
• 15:19
  see
• 15:19
  are
• 15:19
  starting
• 15:19
  to
• 15:19
  really
• 15:20
  think
• 15:20
  that
• 15:20
  through.
• 15:20
  And
• 15:21
  now
• 15:21
  that
• 15:22
  we've
• 15:22
  got
• 15:22
  materials
• 15:23
  out
• 15:23
  there
• 15:23
  that
• 15:23
  can
• 15:23
  go
• 15:24
  into
• 15:25
  the
• 15:25
  kitchens,
• 15:25
  the
• 15:26
  baths,
• 15:26
  the
• 15:26
  bedrooms,
• 15:27
  the
• 15:28
  laundry
• 15:28
  room,
• 15:28
  all
• 15:28
  the
• 15:29
  places
• 15:29
  where
• 15:29
  the
• 15:29
  biggest
• 15:30
  dangers
• 15:30
  are
• 15:31
  for
• 15:31
  people
• 15:32
  with
• 15:32
  age
• 15:33
  or
• 15:33
  limited
• 15:33
  abilities,
• 15:34
  we've
• 15:34
  been
• 15:35
  able
• 15:35
  to
• 15:35
  really
• 15:35
  navigate
• 15:36
  that
• 15:36
  so
• 15:36
  much
• 15:36
  clearer
• 15:37
  and
• 15:38
  just
• 15:39
  create
• 15:39
  a
• 15:39
  beautiful
• 15:40
  home
• 15:40
  at
• 15:40
  the
• 15:40
  same
• 15:40
  time.
• 15:41
  Sure.
• 15:41
  And
• 15:41
  like
• 15:41
  I
• 15:42
  have
• 15:42
  a
• 15:42
  couple
• 15:42
  of
• 15:43
  friends
• 15:43
  who
• 15:43
  moved
• 15:44
  up
• 15:44
  to
• 15:44
  the
• 15:44
  Santa
• 15:45
  Rosa
• 15:45
  area
• 15:46
  because
• 15:46
  they
• 15:46
  the
• 15:47
  commuter
• 15:47
  into
• 15:48
  the
• 15:48
  city
• 15:48
  to
• 15:49
  San
• 15:49
  Francisco
• 15:49
  is
• 15:50
  so
• 15:50
  much
• 15:51
  faster
• 15:52
  from
• 15:52
  there
• 15:52
  than
• 15:52
  it
• 15:52
  is
• 15:53
  from
• 15:53
  the
• 15:53
  Central
• 15:53
  Valley.
• 15:54
  And
• 15:55
  even
• 15:55
  if
• 15:55
  you're
• 15:56
  looking
• 15:56
  at
• 15:56
  purchasing
• 15:57
  a
• 15:57
  brand
• 15:57
  new
• 15:58
  home,
• 15:58
  if
• 15:59
  you
• 15:59
  know
• 15:59
  in
• 15:59
  advance
• 16:00
  to
• 16:01
  ask
• 16:01
  for
• 16:01
  blocking
• 16:02
  for
• 16:02
  grab
• 16:03
  bars
• 16:03
  in
• 16:03
  your
• 16:03
  showers,
• 16:04
  if
• 16:05
  to
• 16:05
  look
• 16:05
  for
• 16:06
  models
• 16:07
  with
• 16:07
  some
• 16:08
  widened
• 16:08
  doorways
• 16:09
  like
• 16:09
  you
• 16:09
  discussed.
• 16:10
  It
• 16:11
  doesn't
• 16:11
  add
• 16:11
  that
• 16:12
  much
• 16:12
  to
• 16:12
  the
• 16:13
  overall
• 16:13
  expense
• 16:14
  of
• 16:14
  the
• 16:14
  new
• 16:14
  home,
• 16:14
  but
• 16:15
  it
• 16:15
  certainly
• 16:15
  adds
• 16:16
  to
• 16:16
  your
• 16:16
  ability
• 16:16
  to
• 16:16
  enjoy
• 16:17
  that
• 16:17
  home
• 16:18
  for
• 16:18
  the
• 16:18
  rest
• 16:18
  of
• 16:18
  your
• 16:19
  life.
• 16:19
  And
• 16:20
  a
• 16:20
  little
• 16:20
  bit
• 16:20
  of
• 16:20
  forethought
• 16:21
  and
• 16:21
  a
• 16:22
  couple
• 16:22
  hundred
• 16:22
  dollars
• 16:23
  is
• 16:23
  certainly
• 16:24
  worth
• 16:24
  it.
• 16:25
  Another
• 16:25
  thing,
• 16:25
  I
• 16:26
  think
• 16:26
  that
• 16:27
  when
• 16:27
  people
• 16:27
  are
• 16:27
  looking
• 16:28
  for
• 16:28
  a
• 16:28
  home
• 16:29
  and
• 16:29
  health
• 16:30
  and
• 16:30
  wellness
• 16:30
  is
• 16:30
  at
• 16:30
  the
• 16:31
  forefront
• 16:32
  and
• 16:32
  they're
• 16:32
  buying
• 16:32
  at
• 16:32
  any
• 16:33
  age
• 16:33
  of
• 16:33
  their
• 16:33
  life,
• 16:34
  I
• 16:34
  think
• 16:34
  orientation
• 16:36
  is
• 16:36
  also
• 16:37
  important,
• 16:37
  like
• 16:37
  where
• 16:38
  the
• 16:38
  property
• 16:38
  sits
• 16:39
  and
• 16:39
  how
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  sun
• 16:40
  passes
• 16:41
  over
• 16:42
  or
• 16:42
  past
• 16:43
  your
• 16:44
  home.
• 16:44
  So
• 16:45
  like,
• 16:45
  because
• 16:46
  we
• 16:46
  all
• 16:46
  know
• 16:46
  now
• 16:46
  to
• 16:47
  regulate
• 16:47
  your
• 16:47
  circadian
• 16:48
  rhythms,
• 16:49
  you
• 16:49
  have
• 16:49
  to
• 16:49
  have
• 16:50
  exposure
• 16:50
  to
• 16:50
  sunlight
• 16:51
  in
• 16:52
  order
• 16:52
  not
• 16:52
  to
• 16:53
  get
• 16:53
  in
• 16:53
  a
• 16:53
  funk.
• 16:54
  It's
• 16:54
  best
• 16:54
  to
• 16:55
  start
• 16:55
  your
• 16:55
  day
• 16:56
  with
• 16:56
  the
• 16:56
  eastern
• 16:57
  exposure,
• 16:58
  southern
• 16:58
  exposure,
• 16:59
  not
• 16:59
  north
• 17:00
  and
• 17:00
  west.
• 17:01
  Because
• 17:01
  even
• 17:02
  though
• 17:02
  the
• 17:02
  north
• 17:02
  light's
• 17:03
  great
• 17:03
  for
• 17:03
  art
• 17:04
  studios,
• 17:05
  it's
• 17:05
  not
• 17:06
  great
• 17:06
  to
• 17:06
  like
• 17:07
  get
• 17:07
  you
• 17:07
  going
• 17:08
  in
• 17:08
  the,
• 17:08
  in
• 17:08
  the
• 17:08
  daytime.
• 17:09
  So
• 17:09
  I
• 17:10
  think
• 17:10
  too
• 17:10
  that's
• 17:10
  something
• 17:10
  that
• 17:11
  people
• 17:11
  don't
• 17:11
  often
• 17:11
  think
• 17:12
  about
• 17:12
  is
• 17:13
  where's
• 17:13
  the
• 17:13
  sunshine,
• 17:14
  how
• 17:15
  much
• 17:15
  am
• 17:15
  I
• 17:16
  going
• 17:16
  to
• 17:16
  get
• 17:16
  in
• 17:16
  this
• 17:17
  house
• 17:17
  and
• 17:17
  how's
• 17:17
  that
• 17:18
  going
• 17:18
  to
• 17:18
  work?
• 17:19
  But
• 17:19
  it
• 17:19
  sure
• 17:19
  does
• 17:20
  make
• 17:20
  a
• 17:20
  huge
• 17:20
  difference
• 17:21
  in
• 17:21
  your
• 17:21
  quality
• 17:21
  of
• 17:22
  life
• 17:22
  in
• 17:22
  that
• 17:22
  space.
• 17:23
  No,
• 17:23
  it
• 17:24
  really
• 17:24
  does.
• 17:24
  And
• 17:25
  I
• 17:25
  was
• 17:25
  just
• 17:25
  at
• 17:25
  home
• 17:26
  this
• 17:26
  last
• 17:26
  week
• 17:27
  for
• 17:27
  a
• 17:27
  TV
• 17:28
  episode
• 17:28
  coming
• 17:28
  up
• 17:29
  and
• 17:29
  it
• 17:29
  was
• 17:29
  this
• 17:29
  gorgeous
• 17:30
  waterfront
• 17:31
  on
• 17:31
  the
• 17:31
  Pacific
• 17:32
  Ocean.
• 17:32
  So
• 17:32
  it
• 17:32
  was
• 17:33
  on
• 17:33
  like
• 17:33
  3
• 17:34
  acres
• 17:34
  and
• 17:35
  every
• 17:36
  single
• 17:37
  room,
• 17:38
  laundry
• 17:38
  room,
• 17:38
  had
• 17:38
  an
• 17:39
  ocean.
• 17:40
  This
• 17:40
  tech
• 17:41
  had
• 17:41
  done
• 17:41
  such
• 17:42
  an
• 17:42
  amazing
• 17:43
  job
• 17:44
  of
• 17:44
  making
• 17:45
  the
• 17:45
  hallways
• 17:46
  on
• 17:46
  what
• 17:46
  was
• 17:46
  the
• 17:46
  front
• 17:47
  of
• 17:47
  the
• 17:47
  house
• 17:48
  and
• 17:48
  everything
• 17:49
  facing,
• 17:49
  well,
• 17:50
  as
• 17:50
  everything
• 17:50
  was
• 17:50
  facing
• 17:51
  west.
• 17:52
  But
• 17:52
  it
• 17:52
  was
• 17:52
  just
• 17:53
  this
• 17:53
  whole
• 17:53
  cool.
• 17:54
  I
• 17:54
  mean,
• 17:55
  you
• 17:55
  had
• 17:55
  a
• 17:55
  waterfront
• 17:56
  view
• 17:56
  of
• 17:57
  the
• 17:57
  waves
• 17:57
  crashing
• 17:58
  as
• 17:58
  you
• 17:59
  were
• 17:59
  hanging
• 18:00
  up
• 18:00
  your
• 18:00
  laundry
• 18:00
  in
• 18:01
  the
• 18:01
  laundry
• 18:01
  room.
• 18:02
  And
• 18:02
  it
• 18:02
  is
• 18:02
  so
• 18:03
  cool
• 18:03
  to
• 18:03
  see
• 18:03
  great
• 18:04
  architecture
• 18:05
  and
• 18:06
  a
• 18:06
  well
• 18:06
  planned
• 18:07
  house
• 18:07
  that
• 18:07
  fits
• 18:07
  that
• 18:08
  because
• 18:08
  as
• 18:08
  you
• 18:09
  said,
• 18:09
  really
• 18:10
  makes
• 18:10
  a
• 18:10
  difference
• 18:11
  when
• 18:11
  somebody
• 18:12
  thinks
• 18:12
  through
• 18:12
  those
• 18:13
  processes
• 18:13
  and
• 18:14
  creates
• 18:14
  a
• 18:14
  house
• 18:14
  that's
• 18:15
  going
• 18:15
  to
• 18:15
  work
• 18:15
  for
• 18:15
  everyone.
• 18:16
  It's
• 18:16
  you
• 18:16
  don't
• 18:16
  know
• 18:16
  what
• 18:17
  you
• 18:17
  don't
• 18:17
  know.
• 18:18
  And
• 18:18
  I
• 18:18
  learned
• 18:18
  that
• 18:19
  there's
• 18:19
  so
• 18:19
  many
• 18:19
  things
• 18:20
  I
• 18:20
  don't
• 18:20
  know.
• 18:21
  And
• 18:21
  that's,
• 18:21
  I
• 18:22
  have
• 18:22
  an
• 18:22
  excellent
• 18:23
  way
• 18:23
  to
• 18:23
  be
• 18:23
  reminded
• 18:24
  of
• 18:24
  that
• 18:24
  every
• 18:24
  day
• 18:25
  in
• 18:25
  this
• 18:25
  profession.
• 18:26
  But
• 18:27
  if
• 18:27
  we
• 18:27
  could
• 18:27
  just.
• 18:28
  Because
• 18:28
  I
• 18:28
  know
• 18:28
  in
• 18:29
  the
• 18:29
  past
• 18:29
  we've
• 18:29
  talked
• 18:29
  about
• 18:30
  things
• 18:30
  we
• 18:31
  love
• 18:31
  for
• 18:31
  people
• 18:31
  to
• 18:32
  know
• 18:32
  when
• 18:32
  they're
• 18:32
  thinking
• 18:33
  about
• 18:33
  buying
• 18:33
  a
• 18:33
  home
• 18:33
  or
• 18:34
  renovating
• 18:34
  a
• 18:34
  home.
• 18:35
  And
• 18:35
  I
• 18:35
  would
• 18:35
  say
• 18:35
  one
• 18:35
  of
• 18:35
  those
• 18:36
  things
• 18:36
  is
• 18:36
  definitely
• 18:37
  the
• 18:37
  orientation
• 18:38
  of
• 18:38
  your
• 18:38
  house,
• 18:39
  how
• 18:39
  much
• 18:40
  sunlight
• 18:40
  you
• 18:40
  can
• 18:40
  get
• 18:41
  and
• 18:41
  what
• 18:41
  the
• 18:41
  Windows
• 18:42
  are
• 18:42
  like,
• 18:42
  because
• 18:43
  it
• 18:43
  just,
• 18:43
  it's
• 18:44
  totally
• 18:44
  game
• 18:44
  changing
• 18:45
  your
• 18:45
  house.
• 18:46
  And
• 18:46
  the
• 18:46
  cool
• 18:47
  thing
• 18:47
  is,
• 18:47
  is
• 18:47
  even
• 18:47
  if
• 18:47
  you
• 18:48
  have
• 18:48
  tall
• 18:48
  windows
• 18:48
  up
• 18:49
  there,
• 18:49
  so
• 18:49
  many
• 18:49
  people
• 18:49
  go,
• 18:50
  oh,
• 18:50
  I
• 18:50
  don't
• 18:50
  want
• 18:50
  to
• 18:50
  control
• 18:50
  blinds.
• 18:51
  Today's
• 18:52
  technology,
• 18:53
  you
• 18:53
  can
• 18:53
  go
• 18:53
  out
• 18:53
  and
• 18:54
  get
• 18:54
  motorized
• 18:54
  blinds
• 18:55
  that
• 18:55
  you
• 18:56
  can
• 18:56
  have
• 18:56
  them
• 18:56
  run
• 18:56
  automatically.
• 18:57
  You
• 18:57
  can
• 18:57
  run
• 18:58
  it
• 18:58
  phone.
• 18:59
  I
• 18:59
  think
• 18:59
  technology
• 19:00
  is
• 19:00
  a
• 19:00
  great
• 19:00
  thing
• 19:01
  to
• 19:01
  add
• 19:01
  into
• 19:01
  a
• 19:01
  home
• 19:02
  like
• 19:02
  this
• 19:02
  because
• 19:03
  it
• 19:03
  gives
• 19:03
  you
• 19:03
  so
• 19:04
  much
• 19:04
  more
• 19:04
  freedom
• 19:04
  to
• 19:04
  control
• 19:05
  things
• 19:05
  you
• 19:05
  might
• 19:05
  not
• 19:05
  be
• 19:06
  able
• 19:06
  to
• 19:06
  reach
• 19:06
  or
• 19:07
  you
• 19:07
  don't
• 19:07
  want
• 19:07
  to
• 19:07
  even
• 19:08
  get
• 19:08
  out
• 19:08
  of
• 19:08
  bed
• 19:08
  to
• 19:09
  turn
• 19:09
  on
• 19:09
  or
• 19:09
  open
• 19:10
  up.
• 19:10
  Well,
• 19:11
  it's
• 19:11
  funny
• 19:12
  that
• 19:12
  you
• 19:12
  bring
• 19:12
  that
• 19:12
  up
• 19:12
  and
• 19:13
  working
• 19:13
  on
• 19:13
  a
• 19:13
  project
• 19:13
  in
• 19:14
  Livermore
• 19:14
  right
• 19:15
  now,
• 19:15
  and
• 19:15
  it's
• 19:15
  say
• 19:16
  families
• 19:17
  middle
• 19:18
  30s,
• 19:18
  probably
• 19:19
  into
• 19:20
  tech
• 19:20
  and
• 19:20
  so
• 19:21
  close
• 19:21
  to
• 19:21
  the
• 19:21
  Bay
• 19:21
  Area,
• 19:21
  obviously.
• 19:22
  But
• 19:23
  we're
• 19:23
  designing
• 19:24
  the
• 19:24
  home
• 19:24
  so
• 19:24
  that
• 19:25
  it
• 19:25
  is
• 19:25
  run
• 19:26
  by
• 19:26
  circadian
• 19:27
  rhythm.
• 19:28
  And
• 19:28
  it's
• 19:28
  all
• 19:29
  tunable
• 19:29
  lighting.
• 19:30
  So
• 19:30
  meaning
• 19:31
  all
• 19:31
  of
• 19:32
  the
• 19:32
  shades,
• 19:33
  all
• 19:33
  of
• 19:33
  the
• 19:34
  interior
• 19:34
  lighting,
• 19:35
  I
• 19:35
  think
• 19:36
  even
• 19:36
  the
• 19:36
  coffee
• 19:36
  pot
• 19:37
  is
• 19:38
  all
• 19:38
  tuned
• 19:39
  to
• 19:40
  sunrise
• 19:41
  and
• 19:41
  sunset
• 19:42
  and
• 19:43
  all
• 19:43
  of
• 19:43
  the
• 19:43
  zones
• 19:43
  through
• 19:44
  the
• 19:44
  house
• 19:45
  ebb
• 19:45
  and
• 19:45
  flow
• 19:46
  as
• 19:47
  it's
• 19:47
  supposed
• 19:47
  to,
• 19:48
  in
• 19:48
  order
• 19:48
  for
• 19:48
  optimal
• 19:49
  sleep,
• 19:50
  optimal
• 19:50
  rest,
• 19:51
  less
• 19:52
  stressful
• 19:52
  environments.
• 19:53
  So
• 19:53
  you
• 19:54
  don't
• 19:54
  come
• 19:54
  down
• 19:54
  in
• 19:54
  the
• 19:55
  morning
• 19:55
  and
• 19:55
  have
• 19:55
  this
• 19:56
  glaring
• 19:56
  light
• 19:56
  in
• 19:57
  your
• 19:57
  eyes.
• 19:57
  It's
• 19:57
  the
• 19:58
  sunlight,
• 19:58
  but
• 19:59
  it's,
• 19:59
  it's
• 20:00
  just
• 20:00
  tuned
• 20:01
  so
• 20:01
  that
• 20:02
  your
• 20:02
  body
• 20:03
  reacts
• 20:04
  in
• 20:04
  a
• 20:04
  positive
• 20:04
  way.
• 20:05
  Some
• 20:05
  of
• 20:06
  the
• 20:06
  new
• 20:06
  research
• 20:06
  is
• 20:07
  saying
• 20:07
  that
• 20:08
  those
• 20:08
  cooler
• 20:08
  LED
• 20:09
  lights
• 20:09
  aren't
• 20:10
  always
• 20:10
  the
• 20:10
  best
• 20:11
  for
• 20:11
  you.
• 20:12
  And
• 20:12
  so
• 20:12
  when
• 20:13
  you
• 20:13
  talk
• 20:13
  about
• 20:13
  tunable
• 20:14
  lighting
• 20:14
  too,
• 20:15
  it's
• 20:15
  lighting
• 20:15
  where
• 20:16
  in.
• 20:17
  In
• 20:17
  the
• 20:18
  greatest
• 20:18
  part
• 20:18
  of
• 20:18
  the
• 20:18
  day
• 20:18
  where
• 20:19
  you
• 20:19
  need
• 20:19
  the
• 20:19
  most
• 20:19
  productivity
• 20:20
  and
• 20:20
  you
• 20:20
  have
• 20:20
  to
• 20:21
  really
• 20:21
  see
• 20:21
  and
• 20:21
  be
• 20:21
  alert
• 20:22
  and
• 20:22
  get
• 20:22
  going.
• 20:23
  It's
• 20:24
  on
• 20:24
  a
• 20:24
  higher
• 20:25
  Kelvin
• 20:25
  level,
• 20:26
  like
• 20:26
  a
• 20:26
  3500,
• 20:27
  4000.
• 20:28
  But
• 20:28
  then
• 20:29
  when
• 20:30
  the
• 20:30
  nighttime
• 20:31
  comes,
• 20:31
  you
• 20:31
  start
• 20:31
  to
• 20:31
  try
• 20:32
  to
• 20:32
  calm
• 20:32
  down,
• 20:33
  seek
• 20:33
  and
• 20:33
  rest.
• 20:34
  It
• 20:34
  starts
• 20:35
  to
• 20:35
  tune
• 20:35
  to
• 20:36
  a
• 20:36
  warmer
• 20:36
  temperature,
• 20:37
  so
• 20:38
  feels
• 20:39
  like
• 20:39
  it's
• 20:39
  dimming,
• 20:40
  but
• 20:40
  really
• 20:40
  it's
• 20:40
  just
• 20:41
  converting
• 20:41
  from
• 20:42
  4,000
• 20:43
  to
• 20:44
  3,500,
• 20:45
  3,020,
• 20:46
  700.
• 20:47
  Whereas
• 20:47
  this
• 20:47
  beautiful,
• 20:48
  low,
• 20:48
  quiet,
• 20:49
  peaceful
• 20:50
  light
• 20:51
  and,
• 20:51
  and
• 20:51
  your
• 20:52
  body
• 20:52
  does
• 20:53
  react
• 20:53
  to
• 20:53
  that.
• 20:53
  It's
• 20:54
  really
• 20:54
  interesting
• 20:55
  science.
• 20:56
  It's
• 20:56
  just
• 20:56
  like
• 20:57
  the
• 20:57
  normal
• 20:57
  sunset
• 20:58
  is
• 20:58
  that
• 20:59
  light
• 20:59
  goes
• 20:59
  down,
• 20:59
  it
• 20:59
  gets
• 21:00
  the
• 21:00
  more
• 21:00
  dirt
• 21:00
  in
• 21:00
  the
• 21:01
  atmosphere
• 21:01
  and
• 21:02
  everything
• 21:02
  else.
• 21:02
  And
• 21:02
  all
• 21:02
  of
• 21:03
  a
• 21:03
  sudden
• 21:03
  you
• 21:04
  get
• 21:04
  that
• 21:04
  where
• 21:04
  you
• 21:05
  have
• 21:05
  this
• 21:05
  really
• 21:06
  warm,
• 21:07
  you
• 21:07
  know,
• 21:07
  low
• 21:07
  Kelvin
• 21:08
  number
• 21:08
  as
• 21:09
  far
• 21:09
  as
• 21:09
  the
• 21:09
  color
• 21:09
  temperature.
• 21:10
  And
• 21:10
  it
• 21:11
  is
• 21:11
  awesome
• 21:12
  how
• 21:13
  that
• 21:13
  works.
• 21:13
  And
• 21:13
  it's
• 21:13
  just,
• 21:14
  I
• 21:14
  guess
• 21:14
  auto
• 21:15
  relaxing
• 21:15
  is
• 21:15
  probably
• 21:16
  the
• 21:16
  best
• 21:16
  way.
• 21:17
  It's
• 21:17
  remarkable.
• 21:18
  I
• 21:18
  keep
• 21:19
  telling
• 21:19
  my
• 21:19
  husband
• 21:20
  I
• 21:20
  really,
• 21:20
  really
• 21:20
  want
• 21:21
  that
• 21:21
  because
• 21:21
  he's
• 21:22
  the
• 21:22
  guy
• 21:22
  who
• 21:22
  comes
• 21:23
  down
• 21:23
  in
• 21:23
  the
• 21:24
  morning,
• 21:24
  well,
• 21:25
  that's
• 21:25
  where
• 21:25
  you
• 21:25
  press
• 21:26
  flips
• 21:26
  on
• 21:26
  all
• 21:26
  the
• 21:27
  lights
• 21:28
  like
• 21:28
  this.
• 21:29
  I
• 21:29
  don't
• 21:29
  know.
• 21:30
  It's.
• 21:30
  Well,
• 21:31
  also,
• 21:32
  did
• 21:32
  you
• 21:32
  know
• 21:33
  it
• 21:33
  depends
• 21:33
  on
• 21:33
  your
• 21:33
  eye
• 21:33
  color?
• 21:34
  He
• 21:34
  had
• 21:34
  very
• 21:35
  dark
• 21:35
  blue
• 21:35
  eyes.
• 21:35
  I
• 21:35
  have
• 21:35
  no
• 21:35
  idea.
• 21:36
  And
• 21:37
  I
• 21:37
  have
• 21:37
  blue
• 21:37
  eyes.
• 21:38
  And
• 21:38
  I
• 21:38
  learned
• 21:38
  from
• 21:39
  my
• 21:39
  optometrist.
• 21:40
  People
• 21:41
  with
• 21:41
  blue
• 21:41
  eyes
• 21:42
  receive
• 21:43
  data
• 21:43
  and
• 21:44
  light
• 21:44
  and
• 21:44
  everything
• 21:44
  very
• 21:45
  differently.
• 21:45
  With
• 21:46
  dark
• 21:46
  eyes,
• 21:46
  they're
• 21:47
  sensitive.
• 21:48
  See,
• 21:48
  so
• 21:49
  when
• 21:49
  people
• 21:49
  say
• 21:49
  I'm
• 21:50
  sensitive,
• 21:50
  they're
• 21:51
  right.
• 21:52
  Oh,
• 21:53
  interesting.
• 21:53
  Okay.
• 21:54
  I
• 21:54
  love
• 21:54
  that
• 21:54
  coming
• 21:54
  at
• 21:54
  me.
• 21:56
  Makes
• 21:56
  sense.
• 21:57
  That
• 21:57
  is
• 21:57
  so
• 21:57
  cool.
• 21:58
  And
• 21:58
  yeah,
• 21:58
  only
• 21:58
  now
• 21:59
  is
• 21:59
  technology
• 21:59
  really
• 22:00
  starting
• 22:00
  to
• 22:00
  make
• 22:01
  sense
• 22:01
  with
• 22:01
  the.
• 22:02
  There
• 22:02
  were
• 22:02
  a
• 22:02
  couple
• 22:03
  companies
• 22:03
  that
• 22:03
  started
• 22:03
  out
• 22:04
  selling
• 22:04
  these
• 22:05
  smart
• 22:05
  light
• 22:06
  switches,
• 22:06
  and
• 22:06
  they
• 22:06
  didn't
• 22:07
  make
• 22:07
  it,
• 22:07
  but
• 22:07
  they
• 22:08
  were
• 22:08
  out
• 22:08
  there
• 22:08
  selling
• 22:09
  light
• 22:09
  switches
• 22:09
  that
• 22:10
  worked
• 22:10
  on
• 22:10
  the
• 22:11
  circadian
• 22:11
  rhythm.
• 22:11
  And
• 22:12
  then
• 22:12
  I
• 22:12
  put
• 22:12
  them
• 22:12
  in
• 22:12
  my
• 22:13
  house,
• 22:13
  test
• 22:13
  them
• 22:13
  out,
• 22:14
  really
• 22:14
  talk
• 22:14
  about
• 22:15
  them
• 22:15
  in
• 22:15
  the
• 22:15
  show
• 22:15
  much,
• 22:15
  because
• 22:16
  change
• 22:17
  the
• 22:17
  color,
• 22:18
  change
• 22:18
  light
• 22:19
  output.
• 22:19
  But
• 22:19
  I'm
• 22:19
  like,
• 22:20
  that's
• 22:20
  not
• 22:20
  what
• 22:20
  I'm
• 22:20
  looking
• 22:20
  for.
• 22:21
  That's
• 22:21
  really
• 22:21
  not
• 22:22
  doing
• 22:22
  what
• 22:23
  it
• 22:23
  says
• 22:23
  it's
• 22:23
  doing.
• 22:23
  Because
• 22:23
  it
• 22:24
  wasn't.
• 22:24
  Wasn't
• 22:25
  changing.
• 22:25
  And
• 22:25
  it
• 22:25
  didn't
• 22:25
  have
• 22:25
  the
• 22:25
  ability
• 22:26
  to
• 22:26
  change
• 22:26
  color
• 22:26
  temperature.
• 22:27
  It
• 22:27
  just
• 22:27
  changed
• 22:28
  the.
• 22:28
  In
• 22:29
  the
• 22:29
  evening,
• 22:29
  it
• 22:29
  would
• 22:29
  use
• 22:29
  less
• 22:30
  light,
• 22:30
  and
• 22:30
  that's
• 22:30
  cool
• 22:30
  with
• 22:31
  the
• 22:31
  dimmer,
• 22:31
  but
• 22:31
  it
• 22:31
  wasn't
• 22:32
  doing
• 22:32
  what
• 22:32
  really
• 22:33
  supposed
• 22:33
  to
• 22:33
  do.
• 22:34
  So
• 22:34
  you
• 22:35
  have
• 22:35
  to
• 22:35
  really
• 22:35
  pay
• 22:35
  attention
• 22:35
  as
• 22:36
  a
• 22:36
  consumer
• 22:36
  out
• 22:36
  there
• 22:37
  to
• 22:37
  make
• 22:37
  sure
• 22:37
  that
• 22:37
  you're
• 22:37
  the
• 22:38
  right
• 22:38
  thing
• 22:38
  with
• 22:38
  that.
• 22:39
  Because
• 22:39
  it's
• 22:39
  pretty
• 22:40
  easy
• 22:40
  to
• 22:40
  control
• 22:40
  light
• 22:40
  as
• 22:40
  a
• 22:41
  dimmer.
• 22:41
  When
• 22:41
  you
• 22:41
  get
• 22:42
  into
• 22:42
  changing
• 22:42
  color
• 22:42
  temperature,
• 22:43
  you
• 22:43
  have
• 22:43
  to
• 22:43
  have
• 22:43
  switches
• 22:44
  and
• 22:44
  light
• 22:45
  sources
• 22:45
  that
• 22:45
  play
• 22:45
  well.
• 22:46
  Have
• 22:46
  you
• 22:47
  ever
• 22:47
  been
• 22:47
  to
• 22:47
  Light
• 22:47
  Ovation
• 22:48
  in
• 22:49
  Dallas?
• 22:49
  Want
• 22:50
  to.
• 22:50
  It
• 22:50
  is
• 22:50
  on
• 22:50
  a
• 22:51
  bucket
• 22:51
  list.
• 22:52
  Last
• 22:52
  time
• 22:53
  I
• 22:53
  was
• 22:53
  in
• 22:53
  Dallas
• 22:53
  was
• 22:53
  Covid,
• 22:54
  so
• 22:54
  it
• 22:54
  was
• 22:54
  one
• 22:54
  of
• 22:54
  those
• 22:54
  things
• 22:55
  that
• 22:55
  I
• 22:55
  was
• 22:55
  a
• 22:55
  little
• 22:55
  limited
• 22:56
  on
• 22:56
  what
• 22:56
  I
• 22:56
  could
• 22:56
  see
• 22:56
  and
• 22:56
  what.
• 22:57
  Yeah,
• 22:57
  I
• 22:58
  think
• 22:58
  you
• 22:58
  would
• 22:58
  love
• 22:58
  it,
• 22:58
  Eric,
• 22:59
  because
• 22:59
  I
• 23:00
  got
• 23:00
  to
• 23:00
  go
• 23:00
  this
• 23:00
  year
• 23:01
  for
• 23:01
  the
• 23:01
  first
• 23:01
  time.
• 23:02
  It
• 23:02
  was
• 23:03
  winter
• 23:03
  Dallas
• 23:03
  market,
• 23:04
  and
• 23:05
  I
• 23:05
  got
• 23:06
  to
• 23:06
  go.
• 23:06
  I
• 23:06
  believe
• 23:07
  it
• 23:07
  was
• 23:07
  alloy
• 23:09
  and
• 23:09
  pure
• 23:09
  edge.
• 23:10
  And
• 23:10
  I
• 23:11
  saw
• 23:11
  the
• 23:11
  demos
• 23:11
  on
• 23:12
  Tunable
• 23:12
  lighting,
• 23:13
  and
• 23:13
  it
• 23:13
  was
• 23:13
  incredible.
• 23:14
  It
• 23:15
  was.
• 23:15
  It
• 23:16
  was
• 23:16
  just
• 23:16
  so
• 23:16
  much
• 23:17
  fun
• 23:17
  to
• 23:18
  see
• 23:18
  what
• 23:18
  we
• 23:18
  could
• 23:18
  accomplish
• 23:19
  not
• 23:20
  only
• 23:20
  with
• 23:20
  the
• 23:21
  tunable
• 23:21
  part,
• 23:21
  but
• 23:22
  also
• 23:22
  these
• 23:22
  different
• 23:23
  lighting
• 23:23
  installations.
• 23:24
  And
• 23:25
  you
• 23:25
  can
• 23:25
  do
• 23:26
  sculpture
• 23:26
  out
• 23:26
  of
• 23:27
  light
• 23:27
  now,
• 23:27
  and
• 23:28
  you
• 23:28
  could
• 23:28
  never
• 23:28
  do
• 23:29
  that
• 23:29
  before,
• 23:30
  but
• 23:30
  just
• 23:30
  these
• 23:30
  little
• 23:31
  channels
• 23:31
  in
• 23:31
  the
• 23:32
  drywall
• 23:32
  gypsum
• 23:33
  board.
• 23:33
  And
• 23:33
  if
• 23:34
  you
• 23:34
  plan
• 23:34
  it
• 23:34
  out
• 23:34
  right.
• 23:35
  And
• 23:35
  I
• 23:35
  have
• 23:35
  a
• 23:36
  great
• 23:36
  friend,
• 23:36
  Carrie
• 23:37
  Arnold.
• 23:37
  She's
• 23:37
  a
• 23:38
  lighting
• 23:38
  designer.
• 23:38
  We
• 23:39
  did
• 23:39
  a
• 23:39
  dental
• 23:40
  office
• 23:40
  together
• 23:41
  where
• 23:41
  the
• 23:41
  lighting
• 23:41
  was
• 23:42
  super
• 23:42
  important
• 23:42
  and
• 23:44
  Using
• 23:44
  lighting
• 23:44
  as
• 23:45
  sculpture
• 23:45
  now
• 23:45
  is.
• 23:46
  It
• 23:46
  was
• 23:46
  incredible
• 23:47
  to
• 23:47
  see
• 23:47
  what
• 23:47
  she
• 23:48
  did.
• 23:48
  It
• 23:48
  was
• 23:48
  just
• 23:49
  stunning
• 23:50
  place.
• 23:50
  It's
• 23:51
  because
• 23:51
  of
• 23:51
  her.
• 23:52
  She's
• 23:52
  a
• 23:52
  great
• 23:52
  lighting
• 23:53
  designer.
• 23:53
  But
• 23:54
  yeah,
• 23:55
  now
• 23:55
  we
• 23:55
  can
• 23:55
  really
• 23:56
  truly
• 23:56
  play
• 23:57
  with
• 23:57
  white
• 23:58
  in
• 23:58
  a
• 23:58
  way
• 23:58
  that
• 23:58
  we've
• 23:59
  never
• 23:59
  been
• 23:59
  able
• 23:59
  to
• 23:59
  do
• 24:00
  before.
• 24:01
  It's
• 24:01
  amazing
• 24:01
  what
• 24:01
  you
• 24:01
  can
• 24:02
  do.
• 24:02
  And
• 24:03
  I
• 24:03
  started
• 24:03
  getting
• 24:03
  away
• 24:04
  from
• 24:04
  the
• 24:04
  like
• 24:05
  the
• 24:05
  6
• 24:05
  inch
• 24:05
  can
• 24:06
  lights
• 24:06
  from
• 24:06
  the
• 24:07
  1980s
• 24:07
  and
• 24:07
  90s
• 24:07
  and
• 24:08
  get
• 24:08
  down.
• 24:08
  And
• 24:09
  now
• 24:09
  my
• 24:09
  favorite
• 24:09
  is
• 24:10
  the
• 24:10
  1
• 24:10
  and
• 24:11
  2
• 24:11
  inch
• 24:11
  lights
• 24:12
  that
• 24:12
  you
• 24:12
  use
• 24:12
  in
• 24:12
  the
• 24:12
  recessed
• 24:13
  can
• 24:13
  lights
• 24:13
  out
• 24:13
  there.
• 24:14
  Because
• 24:14
  I'm
• 24:15
  in
• 24:15
  a
• 24:15
  ceiling,
• 24:15
  you
• 24:16
  don't
• 24:16
  see
• 24:16
  where
• 24:16
  the
• 24:17
  light's
• 24:17
  really
• 24:17
  coming
• 24:17
  from.
• 25:36
  In
• 25:36
  instances
• 25:37
  can
• 25:38
  really
• 25:38
  plan
• 25:38
  that
• 25:39
  lighting
• 25:39
  out
• 25:39
  so
• 25:40
  everything
• 25:40
  is
• 25:40
  well
• 25:41
  lit,
• 25:41
  but
• 25:41
  so
• 25:41
  controlled
• 25:42
  and
• 25:43
  design
• 25:43
  it
• 25:43
  to
• 25:43
  be
• 25:44
  so
• 25:44
  down
• 25:44
  the
• 25:45
  road
• 25:45
  as
• 25:45
  you
• 25:45
  age,
• 25:46
  you
• 25:46
  still
• 25:47
  have
• 25:47
  places
• 25:47
  to
• 25:48
  go
• 25:48
  to
• 25:48
  make
• 25:48
  things
• 25:48
  brighter
• 25:49
  or
• 25:49
  make
• 25:49
  areas
• 25:50
  brighter
• 25:50
  or
• 25:51
  work
• 25:51
  areas
• 25:51
  and
• 25:52
  things
• 25:52
  like
• 25:52
  that.
• 25:52
  So
• 25:52
  you
• 25:52
  can
• 25:53
  really
• 25:53
  control
• 25:53
  what's
• 25:53
  going
• 25:54
  on.
• 25:54
  Because
• 25:55
  as
• 25:55
  we
• 25:55
  all
• 25:55
  know,
• 25:55
  or
• 25:56
  at
• 25:56
  least
• 25:56
  you
• 25:56
  and
• 25:56
  I
• 25:56
  both
• 25:57
  know,
• 25:57
  that
• 25:58
  if
• 25:58
  you're
• 25:58
  25
• 25:58
  and
• 25:59
  you're
• 25:59
  65,
• 26:00
  you
• 26:00
  have
• 26:00
  two
• 26:01
  different
• 26:01
  needs
• 26:01
  for
• 26:01
  lighting.
• 26:02
  Yes.
• 26:02
  I
• 26:02
  just
• 26:03
  learned
• 26:03
  from
• 26:03
  Carrie
• 26:03
  the
• 26:03
  other
• 26:04
  day
• 26:04
  that
• 26:04
  the
• 26:04
  light
• 26:05
  that
• 26:05
  you
• 26:05
  need
• 26:05
  to
• 26:06
  see
• 26:06
  the
• 26:06
  same
• 26:07
  way
• 26:07
  you
• 26:08
  saw
• 26:08
  when
• 26:08
  you
• 26:08
  were
• 26:08
  25,
• 26:09
  when
• 26:10
  you're
• 26:10
  75,
• 26:11
  you
• 26:12
  need
• 26:12
  four
• 26:13
  times
• 26:13
  more
• 26:14
  light.
• 26:15
  That's
• 26:15
  a
• 26:16
  lot
• 26:16
  lighting.
• 26:17
  Oh,
• 26:18
  4,000.
• 26:18
  Perfect.
• 26:19
  I
• 26:19
  can
• 26:19
  see
• 26:19
  to
• 26:20
  do
• 26:20
  this
• 26:20
  little
• 26:20
  thing.
• 26:21
  And
• 26:21
  as
• 26:21
  a
• 26:21
  person
• 26:21
  who's
• 26:21
  nearly
• 26:22
  blind,
• 26:23
  it's
• 26:23
  probably
• 26:23
  coming
• 26:23
  into
• 26:24
  play
• 26:24
  for
• 26:24
  me
• 26:24
  sooner
• 26:25
  rather
• 26:25
  than
• 26:25
  later.
• 26:25
  But
• 26:26
  a
• 26:26
  good
• 26:26
  light
• 26:27
  is
• 26:27
  one.
• 26:27
  It's.
• 26:28
  It's
• 26:29
  first
• 26:29
  off,
• 26:29
  you
• 26:29
  never
• 26:30
  notice
• 26:30
  it
• 26:30
  when
• 26:30
  you're
• 26:30
  in
• 26:30
  the
• 26:30
  space.
• 26:31
  You
• 26:31
  just
• 26:31
  notice
• 26:31
  it's
• 26:32
  well
• 26:32
  lit.
• 26:33
  That's
• 26:33
  one
• 26:33
  of
• 26:33
  the
• 26:33
  things
• 26:33
  about
• 26:34
  lighting
• 26:34
  that
• 26:34
  when
• 26:34
  it's.
• 26:35
  When
• 26:35
  it's
• 26:36
  beautifully
• 26:36
  done,
• 26:37
  you
• 26:37
  walk
• 26:37
  in
• 26:37
  and
• 26:37
  go,
• 26:37
  this
• 26:38
  is
• 26:38
  stunning.
• 26:38
  But
• 26:38
  I
• 26:38
  can't
• 26:38
  tell
• 26:39
  you
• 26:39
  why.
• 26:40
  It's
• 26:40
  the.
• 26:40
  It's
• 26:40
  the
• 26:41
  one
• 26:41
  design
• 26:41
  element
• 26:41
  that
• 26:42
  people
• 26:42
  anytime
• 26:43
  look
• 26:43
  right
• 26:43
  over
• 26:44
  the
• 26:44
  top
• 26:44
  of,
• 26:44
  because
• 26:45
  great
• 26:45
  lighting,
• 26:45
  you
• 26:45
  never
• 26:45
  notice.
• 26:46
  It's
• 26:46
  really
• 26:47
  true.
• 26:47
  And
• 26:48
  I
• 26:48
  think
• 26:48
  it's
• 26:48
  been
• 26:49
  one
• 26:49
  of
• 26:50
  the
• 26:51
  more
• 26:51
  exciting
• 26:52
  parts
• 26:52
  of
• 26:52
  design
• 26:53
  and
• 26:53
  the
• 26:53
  things
• 26:53
  that
• 26:54
  I've
• 26:54
  been
• 26:54
  able
• 26:54
  to
• 26:54
  do
• 26:55
  in
• 26:55
  the
• 26:55
  last
• 26:56
  three
• 26:56
  years.
• 26:57
  That
• 26:58
  collaboration
• 26:58
  with
• 26:59
  Carrie
• 26:59
  and
• 27:00
  learning
• 27:01
  power
• 27:01
  of
• 27:02
  lighting
• 27:03
  in
• 27:03
  a
• 27:03
  way
• 27:03
  I
• 27:03
  had
• 27:04
  never
• 27:04
  understood
• 27:04
  before
• 27:05
  is
• 27:06
  great.
• 27:06
  Oh,
• 27:06
  here's
• 27:07
  another
• 27:07
  thing.
• 27:07
  For
• 27:08
  people
• 27:08
  who
• 27:08
  are
• 27:08
  building
• 27:08
  the
• 27:09
  house
• 27:09
  or
• 27:09
  just
• 27:09
  buying
• 27:10
  like
• 27:10
  their
• 27:10
  very
• 27:10
  first
• 27:11
  house
• 27:11
  and
• 27:11
  it's
• 27:11
  being
• 27:12
  built
• 27:12
  if
• 27:13
  you
• 27:13
  use
• 27:14
  recessed
• 27:14
  lighting,
• 27:15
  but
• 27:15
  you
• 27:15
  don't
• 27:16
  do
• 27:16
  the
• 27:16
  typical
• 27:17
  builder
• 27:17
  can,
• 27:18
  can,
• 27:18
  can,
• 27:19
  can
• 27:19
  van
• 27:20
  in
• 27:20
  a
• 27:20
  bedroom.
• 27:21
  Right.
• 27:22
  She's
• 27:22
  taught
• 27:22
  me
• 27:23
  that
• 27:23
  you're
• 27:23
  supposed
• 27:23
  to
• 27:24
  light
• 27:24
  the
• 27:24
  walls.
• 27:25
  So
• 27:25
  do
• 27:25
  a
• 27:26
  wall
• 27:26
  washer,
• 27:27
  A
• 27:27
  couple
• 27:27
  of
• 27:27
  wall
• 27:28
  washers
• 27:29
  on
• 27:29
  one
• 27:30
  side
• 27:30
  or
• 27:30
  another
• 27:31
  or
• 27:31
  on
• 27:31
  either
• 27:32
  side
• 27:32
  of
• 27:32
  the
• 27:32
  bed,
• 27:33
  because
• 27:33
  the
• 27:33
  reflected
• 27:34
  light
• 27:35
  is
• 27:35
  much
• 27:35
  softer
• 27:36
  and
• 27:36
  much
• 27:37
  more
• 27:37
  easy
• 27:37
  to
• 27:37
  live
• 27:38
  with.
• 27:38
  And
• 27:39
  also
• 27:39
  for
• 27:39
  people
• 27:39
  aging
• 27:40
  in
• 27:40
  place,
• 27:40
  too,
• 27:41
  you
• 27:41
  don't
• 27:41
  want
• 27:41
  that
• 27:42
  abris
• 27:42
  of
• 27:43
  light
• 27:43
  coming
• 27:43
  down
• 27:43
  on
• 27:44
  you.
• 27:44
  So
• 27:45
  it.
• 27:45
  It's
• 27:45
  a
• 27:45
  better
• 27:45
  way
• 27:46
  to
• 27:46
  light
• 27:46
  it.
• 27:46
  And
• 27:46
  it
• 27:47
  also
• 27:47
  enhances
• 27:48
  your
• 27:48
  mood.
• 27:48
  And
• 27:49
  it's
• 27:49
  not
• 27:49
  expensive.
• 27:50
  No,
• 27:50
  it's
• 27:51
  not.
• 27:51
  They're
• 27:51
  just.
• 27:51
  They're
• 27:52
  just
• 27:52
  light
• 27:52
  fixtures.
• 27:52
  So
• 27:53
  it's
• 27:53
  the
• 27:53
  same
• 27:53
  that
• 27:53
  you
• 27:53
  would
• 27:54
  basically
• 27:54
  have
• 27:54
  as
• 27:54
  if
• 27:55
  you
• 27:55
  were
• 27:55
  putting
• 27:55
  them
• 27:55
  out
• 27:55
  in
• 27:55
  the
• 27:55
  middle
• 27:55
  of
• 27:56
  the
• 27:56
  room.
• 27:56
  That's
• 27:57
  cool.
• 27:57
  Yeah.
• 27:57
  One
• 27:57
  of
• 27:57
  my
• 27:58
  biggest
• 27:58
  things,
• 27:58
  and
• 27:58
  we
• 27:58
  touched
• 27:59
  about
• 27:59
  it
• 27:59
  a
• 27:59
  minute
• 27:59
  ago,
• 28:00
  but
• 28:00
  you're
• 28:01
  building
• 28:01
  a
• 28:01
  house
• 28:02
  or
• 28:02
  you're
• 28:02
  remodeling
• 28:02
  a
• 28:03
  house,
• 28:03
  and
• 28:03
  it's
• 28:03
  like,
• 28:03
  hey,
• 28:03
  we're
• 28:04
  taking
• 28:04
  it
• 28:04
  back
• 28:04
  to
• 28:04
  the
• 28:04
  studs.
• 28:05
  Can't
• 28:06
  emphasize
• 28:07
  enough
• 28:07
  how
• 28:07
  important
• 28:08
  walking
• 28:09
  is
• 28:09
  in
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  right
• 28:10
  places.
• 28:11
  Now
• 28:11
  it's
• 28:11
  really
• 28:12
  obvious
• 28:12
  to
• 28:12
  go,
• 28:13
  okay,
• 28:13
  we're
• 28:13
  going
• 28:13
  to
• 28:13
  do
• 28:13
  it
• 28:13
  in
• 28:13
  the
• 28:14
  bathrooms
• 28:14
  where
• 28:14
  there
• 28:15
  are
• 28:15
  potentially
• 28:16
  grab
• 28:17
  bars
• 28:17
  needed,
• 28:18
  but
• 28:18
  over
• 28:18
  the
• 28:19
  top
• 28:19
  of
• 28:19
  a
• 28:19
  bed
• 28:20
  if
• 28:20
  someone
• 28:20
  needs
• 28:20
  a
• 28:21
  lift
• 28:21
  to
• 28:21
  help
• 28:21
  get
• 28:21
  them
• 28:22
  out.
• 28:22
  Over
• 28:23
  the
• 28:23
  top
• 28:23
  of
• 28:23
  a
• 28:23
  bathtub,
• 28:24
  that's
• 28:24
  meant.
• 28:25
  Or
• 28:25
  you
• 28:25
  could
• 28:25
  put
• 28:26
  a
• 28:26
  lift
• 28:26
  in
• 28:26
  or
• 28:26
  something
• 28:27
  like
• 28:27
  that
• 28:27
  where
• 28:27
  people
• 28:27
  will
• 28:27
  need
• 28:28
  to
• 28:28
  get
• 28:28
  help
• 28:28
  out
• 28:28
  of
• 28:28
  a
• 28:29
  tub.
• 28:29
  Or
• 28:30
  you
• 28:30
  could
• 28:30
  have
• 28:30
  somebody
• 28:30
  come
• 28:31
  in
• 28:31
  and
• 28:31
  assist
• 28:31
  with
• 28:31
  a
• 28:32
  bath
• 28:32
  or
• 28:32
  something
• 28:32
  like
• 28:33
  that.
• 28:33
  And
• 28:34
  of
• 28:34
  course,
• 28:34
  the
• 28:34
  curbless
• 28:35
  showers.
• 28:35
  These
• 28:35
  are
• 28:36
  all
• 28:36
  things
• 28:36
  that
• 28:36
  are
• 28:36
  so
• 28:37
  easy
• 28:37
  to
• 28:37
  put
• 28:37
  in.
• 28:38
  You're
• 28:39
  doing
• 28:39
  that
• 28:39
  remodel.
• 28:41
  Just
• 28:41
  take
• 28:41
  pictures
• 28:42
  with
• 28:42
  your
• 28:42
  phone
• 28:42
  of
• 28:43
  where
• 28:43
  they're
• 28:43
  at
• 28:43
  so
• 28:43
  you
• 28:44
  can
• 28:44
  go
• 28:44
  down
• 28:44
  later.
• 28:45
  You
• 28:45
  save
• 28:46
  them
• 28:46
  in
• 28:46
  a.
• 28:46
  On
• 28:46
  a.
• 28:46
  In
• 28:47
  a
• 28:47
  cloud
• 28:47
  someplace.
• 28:48
  Hey,
• 28:48
  these
• 28:48
  are
• 28:48
  the
• 28:48
  house
• 28:49
  picks
• 28:49
  during
• 28:50
  framing.
• 28:50
  And
• 28:50
  use
• 28:51
  them
• 28:51
  there.
• 28:52
  It's
• 28:52
  just
• 28:52
  a
• 28:53
  great
• 28:53
  place
• 28:53
  that
• 28:53
  later
• 28:54
  you
• 28:54
  go,
• 28:54
  where
• 28:54
  was
• 28:54
  that
• 28:55
  blocking?
• 28:55
  Oh,
• 28:56
  exactly
• 28:57
  where
• 28:57
  it
• 28:57
  is.
• 28:57
  It's
• 28:57
  right
• 28:58
  here.
• 28:58
  You
• 28:59
  get
• 28:59
  a
• 28:59
  picture
• 28:59
  of
• 28:59
  it.
• 29:00
  Such
• 29:00
  a
• 29:00
  great
• 29:00
  thing
• 29:01
  to
• 29:01
  do
• 29:01
  when
• 29:01
  you
• 29:02
  don't
• 29:02
  have
• 29:02
  the
• 29:02
  sheetrock
• 29:03
  up
• 29:03
  yet
• 29:03
  is
• 29:03
  just
• 29:03
  to
• 29:04
  take
• 29:04
  some
• 29:04
  notes
• 29:04
  of
• 29:04
  that,
• 29:05
  put
• 29:05
  it
• 29:05
  away,
• 29:06
  file
• 29:06
  it
• 29:06
  away.
• 29:07
  Even
• 29:07
  if
• 29:07
  you
• 29:07
  have
• 29:07
  to
• 29:07
  print
• 29:07
  it
• 29:07
  off,
• 29:08
  put
• 29:08
  it
• 29:08
  in
• 29:08
  a
• 29:08
  filing
• 29:08
  cabinet
• 29:09
  someplace
• 29:09
  in
• 29:09
  the
• 29:09
  house
• 29:10
  folder.
• 29:10
  So
• 29:11
  great
• 29:11
  to
• 29:11
  know
• 29:11
  where
• 29:11
  those
• 29:11
  things
• 29:12
  are
• 29:12
  so
• 29:12
  you
• 29:12
  can
• 29:12
  do
• 29:13
  it.
• 29:13
  Yeah.
• 29:13
  That
• 29:13
  was
• 29:14
  something
• 29:14
  I
• 29:14
  learned
• 29:14
  when
• 29:14
  I
• 29:15
  was
• 29:15
  working
• 29:15
  on
• 29:15
  that
• 29:15
  project
• 29:16
  for
• 29:16
  my
• 29:16
  friend.
• 29:16
  I
• 29:16
  didn't.
• 29:17
  She
• 29:17
  asked
• 29:18
  for
• 29:18
  a
• 29:18
  grab
• 29:18
  bar
• 29:19
  above
• 29:19
  the
• 29:19
  bed
• 29:20
  so
• 29:20
  that
• 29:20
  she
• 29:21
  could
• 29:21
  do,
• 29:22
  like,
• 29:22
  special
• 29:22
  exercises
• 29:23
  that
• 29:23
  she
• 29:23
  needed
• 29:24
  to
• 29:24
  do
• 29:25
  for
• 29:25
  part
• 29:25
  of
• 29:25
  the
• 29:26
  rehab
• 29:26
  process.
• 29:26
  And
• 29:27
  I
• 29:27
  had
• 29:28
  never
• 29:28
  thought
• 29:28
  of
• 29:28
  that
• 29:28
  before.
• 29:29
  Again,
• 29:29
  you
• 29:30
  don't
• 29:30
  know
• 29:30
  what
• 29:30
  you
• 29:30
  don't
• 29:30
  know.
• 29:31
  So
• 29:32
  that
• 29:32
  was
• 29:33
  really
• 29:33
  interesting.
• 29:34
  And
• 29:34
  even
• 29:35
  at
• 29:35
  the
• 29:35
  side,
• 29:36
  too,
• 29:37
  to
• 29:37
  help
• 29:37
  turn
• 29:38
  over.
• 29:38
  Because
• 29:38
  if
• 29:38
  you
• 29:38
  have
• 29:39
  a
• 29:39
  back
• 29:39
  injury,
• 29:40
  it
• 29:40
  would
• 29:40
  help
• 29:41
  you
• 29:41
  to
• 29:41
  turn.
• 29:42
  And
• 29:42
  sometimes
• 29:43
  those
• 29:43
  hospital
• 29:44
  beds,
• 29:45
  they
• 29:45
  have
• 29:45
  those
• 29:46
  rails,
• 29:47
  but
• 29:47
  they're
• 29:48
  not
• 29:48
  very
• 29:48
  strong.
• 29:48
  They're
• 29:49
  flimsy.
• 29:49
  So
• 29:49
  it's
• 29:49
  better.
• 29:50
  They're
• 29:50
  super
• 29:50
  flimsy
• 29:51
  wall.
• 29:51
  But
• 29:52
  that's
• 29:52
  a
• 29:52
  great
• 29:52
  idea
• 29:53
  to
• 29:53
  take
• 29:53
  those
• 29:53
  photos
• 29:54
  and
• 29:54
  like,
• 29:54
  keep
• 29:55
  them
• 29:55
  in
• 29:55
  your
• 29:55
  notes,
• 29:55
  in
• 29:56
  your
• 29:56
  phone
• 29:56
  or
• 29:56
  something.
• 29:57
  Exactly.
• 29:57
  That
• 29:57
  way
• 29:58
  you've
• 29:58
  got
• 29:58
  it
• 29:58
  there.
• 29:58
  I
• 29:58
  was
• 29:59
  just
• 29:59
  working
• 29:59
  out
• 29:59
  the
• 29:59
  beach
• 29:59
  house
• 30:00
  where
• 30:00
  my
• 30:01
  brother
• 30:01
  and
• 30:01
  I
• 30:01
  are
• 30:01
  working
• 30:01
  on
• 30:01
  and
• 30:02
  went
• 30:02
  through
• 30:02
  and
• 30:03
  took
• 30:03
  pictures
• 30:03
  of
• 30:03
  every
• 30:04
  elevation
• 30:04
  right
• 30:05
  before
• 30:05
  drywall.
• 30:05
  So
• 30:05
  we
• 30:06
  knew
• 30:06
  it.
• 30:06
  And
• 30:07
  I
• 30:07
  was
• 30:07
  hanging
• 30:07
  some
• 30:07
  stuff
• 30:08
  and
• 30:08
  I'm
• 30:08
  like,
• 30:08
  hey,
• 30:08
  wait
• 30:08
  a
• 30:08
  minute.
• 30:09
  Grab
• 30:09
  the
• 30:09
  folder
• 30:10
  on
• 30:10
  the
• 30:11
  phone.
• 30:11
  What
• 30:11
  power
• 30:12
  and
• 30:12
  throw
• 30:12
  it.
• 30:12
  I'm
• 30:12
  like,
• 30:12
  oh,
• 30:13
  yeah,
• 30:13
  water
• 30:14
  lines
• 30:14
  here.
• 30:14
  Which
• 30:14
  I
• 30:15
  didn't
• 30:15
  want
• 30:15
  to
• 30:15
  get
• 30:15
  anywhere
• 30:15
  near.
• 30:16
  You
• 30:16
  know,
• 30:16
  it's
• 30:17
  just
• 30:17
  avoiding
• 30:17
  the
• 30:18
  things
• 30:18
  you
• 30:18
  don't
• 30:18
  want
• 30:18
  to
• 30:18
  hit.
• 30:19
  I
• 30:19
  know.
• 30:19
  I
• 30:19
  have
• 30:19
  plates
• 30:20
  back
• 30:20
  there.
• 30:20
  Oh,
• 30:21
  did.
• 30:21
  I
• 30:21
  didn't
• 30:22
  want
• 30:22
  to
• 30:22
  get
• 30:22
  anywhere
• 30:22
  near
• 30:22
  having
• 30:23
  to
• 30:23
  do
• 30:23
  some
• 30:23
  re
• 30:23
  plumbing
• 30:24
  work
• 30:24
  on
• 30:24
  a.
• 30:24
  On
• 30:24
  a
• 30:24
  finished
• 30:25
  hardwood
• 30:25
  floor
• 30:25
  right
• 30:25
  there.
• 30:26
  But
• 30:26
  again,
• 30:27
  those
• 30:27
  are
• 30:27
  just
• 30:27
  really
• 30:28
  quick
• 30:28
  lifesavers
• 30:29
  and
• 30:29
  it
• 30:29
  takes
• 30:30
  you
• 30:30
  like
• 30:30
  20
• 30:30
  minutes
• 30:31
  to
• 30:31
  do
• 30:31
  it.
• 30:31
  And
• 30:32
  even
• 30:32
  if
• 30:33
  you
• 30:33
  walk
• 30:33
  through
• 30:33
  and
• 30:34
  in
• 30:35
  portrait
• 30:35
  mode
• 30:35
  on
• 30:35
  your
• 30:36
  phone,
• 30:36
  it
• 30:36
  just
• 30:36
  walks
• 30:37
  slowly
• 30:38
  through
• 30:38
  on
• 30:38
  video.
• 30:38
  You
• 30:39
  still
• 30:39
  have
• 30:39
  it.
• 30:40
  Stop,
• 30:40
  zoom
• 30:41
  it
• 30:41
  in.
• 30:41
  Do
• 30:41
  it
• 30:41
  on
• 30:41
  4K
• 30:42
  on
• 30:42
  your
• 30:42
  phone
• 30:42
  if
• 30:42
  you
• 30:43
  have
• 30:43
  a
• 30:43
  good
• 30:43
  smartphone
• 30:44
  and
• 30:44
  it'll
• 30:45
  show
• 30:45
  you
• 30:45
  everything
• 30:45
  you
• 30:46
  want
• 30:46
  and
• 30:46
  you'll
• 30:46
  have
• 30:46
  reference
• 30:47
  points.
• 30:47
  That's
• 30:48
  super
• 30:48
  smart.
• 30:48
  Yeah,
• 30:49
  it's
• 30:50
  easy.
• 30:51
  It'll
• 30:51
  save
• 30:52
  you
• 30:52
  thousands
• 30:53
  of
• 30:53
  dollars
• 30:53
  in
• 30:54
  lots
• 30:54
  of
• 30:54
  different
• 30:55
  ways.
• 30:55
  Now,
• 30:56
  one
• 30:56
  of
• 30:56
  the
• 30:56
  things
• 30:56
  I
• 30:56
  think
• 30:56
  is
• 30:57
  really
• 30:57
  cool
• 30:57
  going
• 30:57
  to
• 30:58
  the
• 30:58
  go
• 30:58
  to
• 30:58
  a
• 30:58
  lot
• 30:59
  of
• 30:59
  the
• 30:59
  same
• 30:59
  shows
• 30:59
  you
• 31:00
  do.
• 31:00
  But
• 31:00
  how
• 31:01
  elevators
• 31:01
  now
• 31:02
  are
• 31:02
  becoming
• 31:03
  so
• 31:04
  less
• 31:04
  expensive
• 31:05
  and
• 31:05
  easier
• 31:06
  to
• 31:06
  put
• 31:06
  into
• 31:07
  residential
• 31:08
  buildings
• 31:08
  now
• 31:09
  versus
• 31:10
  having
• 31:10
  to
• 31:10
  put
• 31:10
  in
• 31:10
  commercial
• 31:11
  ones.
• 31:11
  That
• 31:11
  took.
• 31:12
  All
• 31:12
  right,
• 31:13
  we're
• 31:13
  going
• 31:13
  to
• 31:13
  spend
• 31:13
  $180,000
• 31:15
  to
• 31:15
  put
• 31:15
  an
• 31:15
  elevator
• 31:16
  in
• 31:16
  this
• 31:16
  house.
• 31:18
  So
• 31:18
  much
• 31:18
  easier
• 31:19
  to
• 31:19
  do
• 31:19
  it
• 31:19
  now
• 31:19
  with
• 31:20
  the
• 31:20
  technology
• 31:21
  and
• 31:21
  how
• 31:21
  good
• 31:21
  that's
• 31:21
  getting
• 31:22
  get
• 31:22
  access
• 31:23
  people
• 31:24
  up
• 31:24
  to
• 31:24
  a
• 31:24
  second
• 31:24
  floor
• 31:25
  or
• 31:25
  even
• 31:25
  a
• 31:25
  third.
• 31:26
  Yeah,
• 31:26
  I
• 31:27
  worked
• 31:27
  in
• 31:27
  a
• 31:28
  house.
• 31:28
  I
• 31:28
  don't
• 31:29
  think
• 31:29
  they
• 31:29
  did
• 31:29
  the
• 31:29
  inexpensive
• 31:30
  kind
• 31:30
  of.
• 31:31
  They
• 31:31
  did
• 31:31
  have
• 31:31
  an
• 31:31
  elevator
• 31:32
  and
• 31:33
  it
• 31:33
  was
• 31:34
  beautiful.
• 31:35
  But
• 31:35
  I.
• 31:36
  I
• 31:36
  think
• 31:36
  too,
• 31:37
  to
• 31:37
  the
• 31:37
  point
• 31:37
  of
• 31:38
  feelings
• 31:38
  of
• 31:38
  agency
• 31:39
  and
• 31:39
  feeling
• 31:39
  good
• 31:40
  in
• 31:40
  your
• 31:40
  home,
• 31:41
  if
• 31:41
  you
• 31:41
  need
• 31:41
  an
• 31:41
  elevator
• 31:43
  or
• 31:43
  you
• 31:43
  need
• 31:43
  to
• 31:43
  get
• 31:43
  to
• 31:44
  the
• 31:44
  second
• 31:44
  floor,
• 31:45
  it's
• 31:46
  so
• 31:47
  much
• 31:47
  better
• 31:47
  for
• 31:47
  your
• 31:48
  psyche
• 31:48
  to
• 31:49
  get
• 31:49
  in
• 31:49
  an
• 31:49
  elevator
• 31:50
  than
• 31:50
  to
• 31:50
  get
• 31:50
  on
• 31:50
  a
• 31:51
  chair.
• 31:51
  Go
• 31:52
  staircase.
• 31:53
  Who
• 31:53
  likes
• 31:54
  that
• 31:54
  chair?
• 31:54
  Look,
• 31:55
  anyway,
• 31:55
  Right.
• 31:55
  It's
• 31:56
  never
• 31:56
  good.
• 31:57
  Wasn't
• 31:57
  it
• 31:57
  in
• 31:57
  the
• 31:57
  Sopranos?
• 31:58
  Tony
• 31:58
  Sopranos
• 31:59
  mom
• 31:59
  had
• 31:59
  one
• 32:00
  of
• 32:00
  the.
• 32:00
  Exactly
• 32:01
  so
• 32:02
  horrible.
• 32:02
  Nobody
• 32:03
  wants
• 32:03
  that.
• 32:03
  Nobody
• 32:04
  wants
• 32:04
  that.
• 32:04
  They
• 32:04
  just
• 32:04
  want
• 32:05
  to
• 32:05
  go
• 32:05
  on
• 32:05
  a
• 32:05
  nice
• 32:06
  up
• 32:07
  and
• 32:07
  down.
• 32:07
  And
• 32:08
  I
• 32:08
  think
• 32:08
  it's
• 32:09
  about
• 32:10
  maintaining
• 32:10
  your
• 32:11
  sense
• 32:11
  of
• 32:12
  self
• 32:12
  and
• 32:13
  some
• 32:13
  pride
• 32:13
  in
• 32:14
  who
• 32:14
  you
• 32:14
  are
• 32:14
  and
• 32:15
  not
• 32:16
  giving
• 32:16
  up
• 32:16
  the
• 32:17
  ship
• 32:17
  because
• 32:18
  things
• 32:19
  have
• 32:19
  been
• 32:19
  built
• 32:19
  into
• 32:19
  your
• 32:20
  home
• 32:20
  so
• 32:20
  that
• 32:20
  you
• 32:20
  don't
• 32:21
  have
• 32:21
  to.
• 32:21
  You
• 32:22
  maintain
• 32:23
  some
• 32:23
  independence
• 32:24
  and
• 32:24
  dignity.
• 32:25
  Like
• 32:25
  your
• 32:25
  idea
• 32:26
  of
• 32:26
  what
• 32:26
  dignity
• 32:27
  is,
• 32:27
  whatever
• 32:27
  that
• 32:27
  may
• 32:28
  be.
• 32:29
  Allowing
• 32:29
  that
• 32:30
  really
• 32:30
  important.
• 32:31
  It's
• 32:31
  cool.
• 32:32
  I
• 32:32
  was
• 32:32
  out
• 32:33
  last
• 32:33
  week
• 32:33
  doing
• 32:33
  a
• 32:33
  shoot
• 32:33
  for
• 32:34
  my
• 32:34
  television
• 32:34
  show
• 32:35
  and
• 32:35
  I
• 32:36
  didn't
• 32:36
  realize
• 32:36
  they
• 32:36
  did
• 32:37
  this
• 32:37
  for
• 32:37
  so
• 32:37
  long
• 32:38
  ago.
• 32:38
  I
• 32:38
  was
• 32:38
  up
• 32:38
  here
• 32:38
  in
• 32:38
  Portland
• 32:39
  Pinnock
• 32:39
  Mansion
• 32:40
  which
• 32:40
  is
• 32:40
  a
• 32:41
  big
• 32:41
  mansion
• 32:42
  here
• 32:42
  on
• 32:42
  the
• 32:42
  top
• 32:42
  of
• 32:42
  the
• 32:42
  hill
• 32:43
  that
• 32:43
  they
• 32:43
  saved
• 32:43
  in
• 32:44
  the
• 32:44
  60s.
• 32:44
  I
• 32:45
  was
• 32:45
  going
• 32:45
  to
• 32:45
  get
• 32:45
  torn
• 32:45
  down.
• 32:46
  It
• 32:46
  went
• 32:47
  through
• 32:47
  and
• 32:48
  saved
• 32:48
  this
• 32:49
  beautiful
• 32:50
  piece
• 32:50
  of
• 32:50
  architecture
• 32:51
  built
• 32:51
  in
• 32:51
  1914
• 32:52
  because
• 32:53
  Mr.
• 32:54
  Pittock
• 32:55
  who
• 32:55
  had
• 32:55
  built
• 32:55
  the
• 32:56
  place
• 32:56
  built
• 32:56
  it
• 32:57
  when
• 32:57
  he
• 32:57
  was
• 32:57
  80,
• 32:58
  1914
• 32:59
  and
• 32:59
  his
• 33:00
  wife
• 33:00
  had
• 33:00
  had
• 33:00
  a
• 33:00
  stroke.
• 33:01
  So
• 33:01
  they
• 33:01
  put
• 33:02
  a
• 33:02
  commercial
• 33:03
  elevator
• 33:04
  inside
• 33:04
  the
• 33:05
  house.
• 33:05
  And
• 33:05
  I
• 33:05
  can't
• 33:06
  think
• 33:06
  of
• 33:06
  seeing
• 33:06
  a
• 33:06
  residential
• 33:07
  elevator
• 33:08
  or
• 33:08
  1914
• 33:09
  in
• 33:09
  a
• 33:09
  building.
• 33:10
  I'm
• 33:10
  sure
• 33:10
  there's
• 33:10
  gotta
• 33:11
  be
• 33:11
  something
• 33:11
  out
• 33:11
  there.
• 33:12
  But
• 33:12
  it's
• 33:12
  just
• 33:12
  so
• 33:13
  unusual
• 33:14
  and
• 33:15
  it
• 33:15
  was
• 33:15
  cool
• 33:15
  to
• 33:15
  see
• 33:16
  because
• 33:16
  there
• 33:16
  were
• 33:16
  so
• 33:17
  many
• 33:17
  things
• 33:17
  like
• 33:17
  that
• 33:18
  that
• 33:18
  were.
• 33:18
  That
• 33:19
  were
• 33:19
  thought
• 33:19
  of
• 33:20
  way
• 33:20
  back
• 33:20
  then.
• 33:21
  75
• 33:21
  years
• 33:22
  before.
• 33:22
  It
• 33:22
  was
• 33:22
  a
• 33:23
  commonplace
• 33:24
  someone's
• 33:25
  home
• 33:25
  to
• 33:26
  have
• 33:26
  accessible
• 33:27
  item
• 33:27
  like
• 33:27
  that
• 33:28
  in
• 33:28
  it.
• 33:28
  But
• 33:28
  it
• 33:28
  was
• 33:28
  so
• 33:29
  cool
• 33:29
  that
• 33:29
  they
• 33:29
  were
• 33:29
  that
• 33:30
  groundbreaking
• 33:30
  back
• 33:30
  in
• 33:31
  1940.
• 33:31
  That
• 33:32
  is
• 33:32
  really
• 33:32
  interesting.
• 33:33
  How
• 33:34
  sweet
• 33:34
  to
• 33:35
  build
• 33:35
  a
• 33:35
  home
• 33:36
  where
• 33:36
  his
• 33:37
  wife
• 33:37
  could
• 33:37
  still
• 33:38
  really
• 33:39
  participate
• 33:39
  in
• 33:39
  the
• 33:40
  home.
• 33:40
  Not
• 33:40
  be
• 33:41
  relegated
• 33:42
  to
• 33:42
  this
• 33:43
  one
• 33:43
  little
• 33:44
  room
• 33:44
  or
• 33:45
  really
• 33:46
  thought
• 33:46
  me
• 33:47
  yeah,
• 33:47
  it's.
• 33:47
  It's
• 33:48
  super
• 33:48
  thoughtful
• 33:49
  and
• 33:49
  that
• 33:49
  that
• 33:49
  house
• 33:50
  was
• 33:50
  very
• 33:50
  cool
• 33:50
  and
• 33:51
  so
• 33:51
  technology
• 33:52
  forward
• 33:52
  for
• 33:53
  the
• 33:53
  day.
• 33:53
  They
• 33:53
  have
• 33:53
  this.
• 33:54
  This
• 33:55
  intercom
• 33:56
  system
• 33:56
  because
• 33:57
  it's
• 33:57
  you
• 33:57
  know,
• 33:57
  three
• 33:58
  stories.
• 33:59
  So
• 33:59
  literally
• 33:59
  they're
• 33:59
  sitting
• 34:00
  there
• 34:00
  and
• 34:00
  they
• 34:00
  have.
• 34:01
  It's
• 34:01
  like
• 34:01
  an
• 34:01
  old.
• 34:01
  Like
• 34:01
  they'll
• 34:02
  trying
• 34:02
  to
• 34:02
  describe
• 34:03
  this
• 34:03
  to
• 34:03
  you.
• 34:03
  It's
• 34:03
  like
• 34:04
  the
• 34:04
  old
• 34:04
  wooden
• 34:05
  phone
• 34:05
  things
• 34:06
  that
• 34:06
  you
• 34:06
  would
• 34:06
  see
• 34:06
  from
• 34:06
  the
• 34:06
  turn
• 34:07
  of
• 34:07
  the
• 34:07
  century
• 34:07
  with
• 34:07
  the
• 34:07
  black
• 34:08
  thing
• 34:08
  you
• 34:08
  put
• 34:08
  to
• 34:08
  your.
• 34:08
  And
• 34:08
  you
• 34:09
  speak
• 34:09
  on
• 34:09
  it
• 34:10
  was
• 34:10
  like
• 34:10
  that.
• 34:10
  But
• 34:11
  it
• 34:11
  was
• 34:11
  a
• 34:11
  metal
• 34:11
  box
• 34:12
  with
• 34:12
  all
• 34:12
  the
• 34:12
  rooms
• 34:13
  and
• 34:13
  they
• 34:13
  were
• 34:13
  push
• 34:13
  button
• 34:14
  and
• 34:14
  a
• 34:14
  speaker
• 34:15
  that
• 34:15
  you
• 34:15
  talked
• 34:15
  into.
• 34:16
  But
• 34:16
  you
• 34:16
  would
• 34:17
  push
• 34:17
  like
• 34:18
  living
• 34:18
  room.
• 34:19
  You
• 34:19
  could
• 34:19
  put
• 34:20
  that
• 34:20
  up
• 34:20
  to
• 34:20
  your
• 34:20
  ear
• 34:20
  and
• 34:20
  talk
• 34:21
  and
• 34:21
  then
• 34:21
  you
• 34:21
  had
• 34:21
  a
• 34:22
  two
• 34:22
  way
• 34:23
  discussion.
• 34:23
  I'm
• 34:23
  like
• 34:24
  yeah.
• 34:24
  Never
• 34:24
  seen
• 34:25
  an
• 34:25
  intercom
• 34:25
  system
• 34:26
  from
• 34:26
  1914
• 34:27
  before.
• 34:27
  Again,
• 34:28
  she
• 34:28
  was.
• 34:29
  Had
• 34:29
  very
• 34:29
  limited
• 34:30
  abilities.
• 34:30
  And
• 34:30
  so
• 34:30
  I
• 34:30
  Think
• 34:31
  it
• 34:31
  was
• 34:31
  a
• 34:31
  way
• 34:31
  for
• 34:31
  her
• 34:31
  to
• 34:31
  communicate
• 34:32
  to
• 34:32
  people
• 34:32
  in
• 34:32
  the
• 34:32
  house
• 34:33
  without
• 34:34
  having
• 34:34
  somebody
• 34:34
  standing
• 34:35
  there
• 34:35
  in
• 34:35
  1914.
• 34:36
  So
• 34:37
  it's
• 34:37
  so
• 34:37
  cool
• 34:37
  how
• 34:38
  technology
• 34:38
  now
• 34:39
  has
• 34:39
  gone
• 34:39
  so
• 34:39
  far
• 34:40
  beyond
• 34:40
  that,
• 34:41
  but
• 34:41
  again,
• 34:41
  really
• 34:41
  hasn't.
• 34:42
  You
• 34:42
  just
• 34:42
  have
• 34:42
  different
• 34:43
  ways
• 34:43
  of.
• 34:44
  Now
• 34:44
  my
• 34:44
  son
• 34:45
  will
• 34:45
  text
• 34:45
  me,
• 34:46
  mom,
• 34:47
  are
• 34:47
  you.
• 34:47
  Is
• 34:48
  dinner
• 34:48
  almost
• 34:49
  done?
• 34:49
  So
• 34:49
  that
• 34:49
  he'll
• 34:50
  know
• 34:50
  to
• 34:50
  come
• 34:50
  downstairs
• 34:51
  so
• 34:51
  he
• 34:51
  doesn't
• 34:51
  have
• 34:52
  to
• 34:52
  get
• 34:52
  on
• 34:52
  the
• 34:52
  intercom.
• 34:53
  I
• 34:53
  just.
• 34:54
  We're
• 34:54
  very
• 34:54
  high
• 34:54
  tech
• 34:54
  here.
• 34:55
  I
• 34:55
  like
• 34:55
  it,
• 34:56
  I
• 34:56
  like
• 34:56
  it.
• 34:57
  So
• 34:57
  I
• 34:57
  wanted
• 34:58
  to
• 34:58
  do
• 34:58
  this.
• 34:58
  I
• 34:58
  thought
• 34:58
  what
• 34:59
  it
• 34:59
  would
• 34:59
  be
• 34:59
  great
• 34:59
  for
• 34:59
  us
• 35:00
  to
• 35:00
  give
• 35:00
  just
• 35:00
  some.
• 35:01
  For
• 35:01
  our
• 35:01
  listeners
• 35:02
  out
• 35:02
  there,
• 35:03
  some
• 35:03
  great
• 35:03
  tips.
• 35:03
  Just
• 35:04
  almost
• 35:04
  like
• 35:04
  a
• 35:04
  checklist
• 35:05
  of
• 35:05
  some
• 35:05
  items
• 35:06
  that
• 35:06
  you
• 35:06
  look
• 35:07
  for.
• 35:07
  We
• 35:07
  brought
• 35:07
  up
• 35:08
  the
• 35:08
  washlet
• 35:09
  or
• 35:09
  the
• 35:09
  Neo
• 35:09
  rest.
• 35:10
  I
• 35:10
  think
• 35:10
  that
• 35:10
  is
• 35:10
  important
• 35:11
  for
• 35:11
  everybody.
• 35:12
  I
• 35:12
  think
• 35:12
  it's
• 35:12
  such
• 35:12
  a
• 35:13
  great
• 35:13
  piece
• 35:14
  on
• 35:16
  home
• 35:16
  as
• 35:16
  well
• 35:16
  as
• 35:17
  people
• 35:17
  aging
• 35:17
  in
• 35:17
  place.
• 35:18
  I
• 35:18
  don't
• 35:19
  care
• 35:19
  if
• 35:19
  you're
• 35:19
  a
• 35:19
  sports
• 35:19
  person,
• 35:20
  you
• 35:20
  just
• 35:20
  hurt
• 35:20
  your
• 35:21
  shoulder
• 35:21
  or
• 35:21
  your
• 35:22
  hand
• 35:22
  or
• 35:22
  anything
• 35:22
  else
• 35:23
  like
• 35:23
  that.
• 35:23
  Anybody
• 35:24
  going
• 35:24
  in
• 35:24
  there
• 35:25
  that
• 35:25
  is
• 35:25
  not
• 35:25
  a
• 35:25
  hundred
• 35:26
  percent,
• 35:26
  it
• 35:26
  makes
• 35:26
  your
• 35:26
  life
• 35:27
  so
• 35:27
  much
• 35:27
  easier.
• 35:28
  And
• 35:29
  I
• 35:29
  thought
• 35:29
  you
• 35:29
  and
• 35:29
  I
• 35:30
  could
• 35:30
  just
• 35:30
  toss
• 35:30
  some
• 35:30
  things
• 35:31
  out
• 35:31
  and
• 35:32
  the
• 35:32
  conversation
• 35:33
  that
• 35:33
  way.
• 35:33
  Here
• 35:33
  are
• 35:33
  just
• 35:34
  some
• 35:34
  tips
• 35:34
  for
• 35:34
  people
• 35:35
  to
• 35:35
  think
• 35:35
  about
• 35:35
  to
• 35:35
  maybe
• 35:36
  spark
• 35:36
  the
• 35:36
  conversation
• 35:37
  on
• 35:38
  their
• 35:38
  next
• 35:38
  project
• 35:39
  remodel
• 35:39
  or
• 35:39
  the
• 35:39
  one
• 35:39
  they're
• 35:39
  working
• 35:40
  on
• 35:40
  now.
• 35:41
  I
• 35:41
  think
• 35:41
  when
• 35:41
  you're
• 35:41
  shopping
• 35:42
  for
• 35:42
  a
• 35:42
  home
• 35:42
  that
• 35:43
  you
• 35:43
  don't
• 35:43
  necessarily
• 35:44
  think
• 35:44
  of
• 35:44
  right
• 35:44
  away,
• 35:45
  what
• 35:45
  is
• 35:46
  the
• 35:46
  access
• 35:46
  to
• 35:46
  the
• 35:47
  backyard?
• 35:49
  Do
• 35:49
  you
• 35:49
  want
• 35:50
  to
• 35:50
  redo
• 35:50
  something?
• 35:51
  If
• 35:51
  you.
• 35:51
  If
• 35:51
  you
• 35:51
  want
• 35:52
  a
• 35:52
  more
• 35:52
  indoor,
• 35:53
  outdoor
• 35:53
  living
• 35:54
  kind
• 35:54
  of
• 35:54
  lifestyle
• 35:55
  and
• 35:56
  the
• 35:56
  footprint
• 35:56
  of
• 35:56
  the
• 35:57
  home
• 35:57
  works
• 35:57
  for
• 35:57
  you,
• 35:58
  but
• 35:58
  you
• 35:58
  need
• 35:58
  to
• 35:59
  make
• 35:59
  some
• 35:59
  changes
• 35:59
  in
• 35:59
  the
• 36:00
  backyard.
• 36:00
  Can
• 36:01
  you
• 36:01
  get
• 36:01
  a
• 36:02
  little
• 36:02
  bobcat
• 36:03
  back
• 36:03
  there?
• 36:03
  Do
• 36:04
  you
• 36:04
  have
• 36:04
  alley
• 36:04
  access
• 36:05
  or
• 36:05
  can
• 36:05
  you
• 36:05
  go
• 36:06
  through
• 36:06
  a
• 36:06
  side
• 36:06
  gate
• 36:06
  or.
• 36:07
  And
• 36:07
  I
• 36:07
  know
• 36:07
  this
• 36:07
  sounds
• 36:08
  crazy,
• 36:08
  but
• 36:09
  you
• 36:09
  don't
• 36:09
  want
• 36:09
  to
• 36:10
  get
• 36:10
  hemmed
• 36:10
  in,
• 36:11
  not
• 36:11
  in
• 36:11
  your
• 36:11
  house
• 36:12
  and
• 36:12
  not
• 36:12
  outside.
• 36:13
  So
• 36:14
  that's
• 36:14
  something
• 36:14
  important
• 36:15
  I
• 36:15
  think
• 36:15
  to
• 36:16
  think
• 36:16
  about
• 36:16
  is
• 36:17
  if
• 36:17
  I
• 36:17
  really
• 36:18
  want
• 36:18
  to
• 36:19
  maximize
• 36:19
  my
• 36:19
  opportunities
• 36:20
  in
• 36:20
  my
• 36:20
  backyard,
• 36:21
  can
• 36:21
  I
• 36:22
  even
• 36:22
  get
• 36:22
  people
• 36:22
  back
• 36:23
  there
• 36:23
  to
• 36:23
  do
• 36:24
  what
• 36:24
  they.
• 36:25
  Or
• 36:25
  do
• 36:25
  they
• 36:25
  have
• 36:25
  to
• 36:26
  carry
• 36:26
  everything
• 36:26
  out
• 36:26
  in
• 36:26
  little
• 36:27
  buckets?
• 36:28
  Sad
• 36:29
  brother
• 36:29
  had
• 36:29
  to
• 36:29
  do
• 36:29
  that
• 36:30
  in
• 36:30
  his
• 36:30
  old
• 36:30
  house
• 36:30
  that
• 36:31
  had
• 36:31
  the
• 36:31
  garage
• 36:32
  built
• 36:32
  so
• 36:32
  close
• 36:32
  and
• 36:32
  they
• 36:33
  had
• 36:33
  a
• 36:33
  garden
• 36:33
  on
• 36:33
  the
• 36:33
  other
• 36:33
  side.
• 36:34
  He
• 36:34
  wanted
• 36:34
  to
• 36:34
  dig
• 36:34
  a
• 36:34
  pool.
• 36:35
  He
• 36:35
  got
• 36:35
  a
• 36:36
  bunch
• 36:36
  of
• 36:36
  the
• 36:36
  high
• 36:36
  school
• 36:36
  kids
• 36:37
  from
• 36:37
  the
• 36:37
  high
• 36:37
  school
• 36:37
  football
• 36:38
  team
• 36:38
  to
• 36:38
  come
• 36:38
  over.
• 36:39
  They
• 36:39
  used
• 36:40
  shovels,
• 36:40
  wheelbarrows,
• 36:41
  and
• 36:41
  dug
• 36:42
  the
• 36:42
  pool
• 36:42
  by
• 36:42
  hand.
• 36:43
  But
• 36:43
  I'm
• 36:43
  like
• 36:44
  crazy.
• 36:45
  I'd
• 36:45
  had
• 36:45
  a
• 36:45
  crane
• 36:45
  come
• 36:46
  in
• 36:46
  and
• 36:46
  lift
• 36:46
  a
• 36:47
  mini
• 36:47
  excavator
• 36:47
  back
• 36:48
  there.
• 36:48
  And
• 36:48
  had
• 36:48
  to
• 36:48
  do
• 36:48
  most
• 36:48
  of
• 36:48
  it.
• 36:49
  But
• 36:49
  you
• 36:49
  must
• 36:49
  have
• 36:49
  went
• 36:50
  back
• 36:50
  and.
• 36:50
  Dug
• 36:50
  it
• 36:50
  out
• 36:50
  20
• 36:51
  years
• 36:51
  ago.
• 36:51
  That's
• 36:52
  not
• 36:52
  a
• 36:52
  good
• 36:52
  place
• 36:52
  to
• 36:53
  be.
• 36:53
  So
• 36:54
  let's
• 36:55
  see
• 36:55
  what
• 36:55
  else.
• 36:56
  Oh,
• 36:57
  one
• 36:57
  of
• 36:57
  the
• 36:57
  ones
• 36:57
  I
• 36:57
  think
• 36:58
  for
• 36:58
  me
• 36:58
  is.
• 36:58
  One
• 36:59
  of
• 36:59
  the
• 36:59
  ones
• 36:59
  I
• 36:59
  think
• 36:59
  for
• 36:59
  me
• 37:00
  that
• 37:00
  is
• 37:00
  important
• 37:01
  out
• 37:01
  there
• 37:01
  as
• 37:01
  well
• 37:02
  is
• 37:02
  as
• 37:03
  you're
• 37:03
  going,
• 37:03
  you
• 37:03
  can
• 37:03
  add
• 37:04
  smart
• 37:04
  lighting
• 37:04
  stuff.
• 37:04
  We
• 37:05
  talked
• 37:05
  a
• 37:05
  little
• 37:05
  bit
• 37:05
  about
• 37:06
  that.
• 37:06
  But
• 37:06
  even
• 37:07
  if
• 37:07
  you're
• 37:07
  just
• 37:08
  keeping
• 37:08
  it
• 37:08
  simple
• 37:08
  with
• 37:09
  like
• 37:09
  some
• 37:09
  of
• 37:09
  the
• 37:10
  Lutron
• 37:11
  Caseta
• 37:11
  switches
• 37:12
  and
• 37:12
  stuff
• 37:12
  like
• 37:12
  that,
• 37:12
  you
• 37:12
  can
• 37:13
  run
• 37:13
  from
• 37:13
  your
• 37:13
  phone
• 37:14
  one,
• 37:14
  it's
• 37:14
  a
• 37:14
  great
• 37:15
  safe
• 37:15
  place
• 37:15
  to
• 37:16
  be
• 37:16
  in
• 37:16
  that
• 37:17
  you
• 37:17
  can
• 37:18
  turn
• 37:18
  it
• 37:18
  off
• 37:18
  and
• 37:18
  on.
• 37:19
  I've
• 37:19
  got
• 37:19
  my
• 37:19
  house
• 37:19
  set
• 37:19
  up
• 37:20
  now.
• 37:20
  As
• 37:20
  far
• 37:20
  as
• 37:20
  a
• 37:20
  smart
• 37:21
  home,
• 37:21
  I'm
• 37:22
  just
• 37:22
  using
• 37:22
  nothing
• 37:23
  spectacular.
• 37:23
  This
• 37:24
  is
• 37:24
  not
• 37:24
  some
• 37:24
  big
• 37:24
  system.
• 37:25
  This
• 37:25
  is
• 37:25
  just
• 37:25
  using
• 37:26
  like
• 37:26
  Samsung
• 37:27
  SmartThings
• 37:28
  app.
• 37:28
  And
• 37:28
  I
• 37:28
  hit
• 37:28
  good
• 37:28
  night
• 37:29
  and
• 37:29
  it
• 37:29
  locks
• 37:29
  my
• 37:29
  doors,
• 37:30
  turns
• 37:31
  the
• 37:31
  lights
• 37:31
  down
• 37:31
  to
• 37:31
  where
• 37:32
  I
• 37:32
  want
• 37:32
  it
• 37:32
  to
• 37:32
  be
• 37:32
  when
• 37:33
  I
• 37:33
  go
• 37:33
  to
• 37:33
  bed
• 37:33
  at
• 37:33
  night.
• 37:34
  In
• 37:34
  the
• 37:34
  morning
• 37:34
  I
• 37:34
  can
• 37:35
  hit
• 37:35
  good
• 37:35
  morning.
• 37:35
  And
• 37:35
  it
• 37:36
  turns
• 37:36
  them
• 37:36
  up
• 37:36
  to
• 37:36
  the
• 37:36
  right
• 37:37
  light
• 37:38
  that
• 37:38
  I
• 37:38
  need
• 37:38
  in
• 37:38
  those
• 37:38
  areas.
• 37:39
  In
• 37:39
  the
• 37:39
  kitchen,
• 37:39
  it'll
• 37:39
  bring
• 37:40
  the
• 37:40
  light
• 37:40
  up
• 37:40
  so
• 37:40
  it's
• 37:41
  fairly
• 37:41
  dim.
• 37:42
  I
• 37:42
  don't
• 37:42
  need
• 37:42
  to
• 37:42
  walk
• 37:43
  in
• 37:43
  with
• 37:43
  welding
• 37:44
  goggles
• 37:44
  on
• 37:44
  to
• 37:44
  go
• 37:45
  make
• 37:45
  coffee
• 37:45
  in
• 37:45
  the
• 37:45
  morning.
• 37:46
  But
• 37:46
  makes
• 37:47
  it
• 37:47
  nice
• 37:47
  when
• 37:47
  it's.
• 37:48
  Those
• 37:48
  are
• 37:48
  things
• 37:48
  that
• 37:49
  you
• 37:49
  can
• 37:49
  do
• 37:49
  now
• 37:50
  and
• 37:50
  10,
• 37:51
  15
• 37:51
  years
• 37:51
  ago
• 37:52
  later
• 37:52
  if
• 37:52
  you
• 37:53
  need
• 37:53
  it
• 37:53
  or
• 37:53
  if
• 37:53
  you've
• 37:54
  got
• 37:54
  grandma
• 37:55
  coming
• 37:55
  to
• 37:55
  stay
• 37:55
  for
• 37:55
  a
• 37:55
  few
• 37:56
  weeks,
• 37:56
  it
• 37:56
  just
• 37:56
  makes
• 37:56
  it
• 37:57
  that
• 37:57
  much
• 37:57
  safer
• 37:57
  for
• 37:57
  everyone.
• 37:58
  It's
• 37:58
  really.
• 39:59
  And
• 39:59
  once
• 39:59
  you
• 40:00
  get
• 40:00
  started,
• 40:00
  I
• 40:01
  think
• 40:01
  a
• 40:01
  lot
• 40:01
  of
• 40:01
  times
• 40:02
  new
• 40:02
  things.
• 40:03
  And
• 40:03
  I
• 40:03
  find
• 40:03
  that
• 40:04
  even
• 40:04
  with
• 40:04
  the
• 40:04
  trades
• 40:05
  here
• 40:05
  and
• 40:05
  me
• 40:06
  working
• 40:06
  on
• 40:07
  new
• 40:07
  AI
• 40:08
  stuff
• 40:08
  or
• 40:08
  learning
• 40:09
  more
• 40:09
  Folio
• 40:10
  Trace
• 40:10
  or
• 40:11
  all
• 40:11
  the
• 40:11
  new
• 40:11
  technology
• 40:12
  that
• 40:12
  we
• 40:12
  need
• 40:12
  to
• 40:12
  learn
• 40:13
  all
• 40:13
  the
• 40:13
  time.
• 40:14
  It's
• 40:14
  intimidating
• 40:15
  when
• 40:15
  you
• 40:15
  first
• 40:16
  start
• 40:16
  out.
• 40:17
  But
• 40:17
  once
• 40:18
  you
• 40:18
  really
• 40:18
  get
• 40:18
  into
• 40:19
  it,
• 40:20
  it
• 40:20
  gets
• 40:21
  easier.
• 40:22
  It's
• 40:22
  not.
• 40:23
  It's
• 40:24
  not
• 40:24
  a
• 40:24
  barrier
• 40:25
  that
• 40:25
  regular
• 40:26
  people
• 40:26
  can't
• 40:27
  overcome
• 40:27
  or
• 40:28
  learn
• 40:28
  about.
• 40:28
  And
• 40:29
  I
• 40:29
  think
• 40:29
  sometimes
• 40:30
  there's
• 40:30
  a
• 40:31
  hesitation
• 40:31
  there
• 40:32
  just
• 40:32
  because
• 40:33
  you've
• 40:33
  not
• 40:33
  done
• 40:34
  it
• 40:34
  before.
• 40:34
  But
• 40:35
  it's
• 40:35
  not.
• 40:36
  It's
• 40:36
  not
• 40:37
  impossible
• 40:38
  for
• 40:38
  a
• 40:39
  layperson
• 40:39
  to
• 40:40
  figure
• 40:40
  that
• 40:40
  out.
• 40:41
  Which
• 40:41
  is
• 40:41
  encouraging.
• 40:42
  Is.
• 40:43
  And
• 40:44
  the
• 40:44
  other
• 40:44
  piece
• 40:44
  of
• 40:44
  advice
• 40:45
  I'd
• 40:45
  love
• 40:45
  to
• 40:45
  get
• 40:46
  give
• 40:46
  out
• 40:46
  there
• 40:47
  is
• 40:47
  spend
• 40:48
  the
• 40:48
  money
• 40:49
  the
• 40:49
  right
• 40:50
  one
• 40:50
  the
• 40:50
  first
• 40:51
  time.
• 40:52
  Don't
• 40:52
  try
• 40:52
  to
• 40:52
  save
• 40:53
  20,
• 40:53
  100
• 40:53
  bucks,
• 40:54
  200
• 40:54
  bucks.
• 40:55
  Buy
• 40:55
  it
• 40:56
  once
• 40:56
  you
• 40:57
  have
• 40:57
  that
• 40:57
  quality.
• 40:58
  Great
• 40:58
  example.
• 40:59
  I
• 40:59
  had
• 40:59
  a
• 40:59
  buddy
• 41:00
  that
• 41:00
  went
• 41:00
  over
• 41:00
  to
• 41:00
  his
• 41:00
  house.
• 41:01
  He
• 41:01
  bought
• 41:01
  the
• 41:01
  $99Amazon
• 41:04
  a
• 41:05
  toilet
• 41:05
  seat.
• 41:05
  Oh.
• 41:06
  And
• 41:06
  of
• 41:07
  course
• 41:07
  it
• 41:07
  didn't
• 41:08
  Use
• 41:08
  water
• 41:08
  off
• 41:09
  the
• 41:09
  toilet.
• 41:09
  It
• 41:10
  took
• 41:10
  a
• 41:10
  warm
• 41:11
  water
• 41:11
  line
• 41:12
  was
• 41:13
  premixed
• 41:13
  off
• 41:14
  a
• 41:14
  little
• 41:14
  like,
• 41:15
  I'm
• 41:15
  going
• 41:15
  to
• 41:15
  describe
• 41:16
  it
• 41:16
  probably
• 41:16
  wrong,
• 41:16
  but
• 41:17
  it's
• 41:17
  like
• 41:17
  that
• 41:17
  little
• 41:17
  plastic
• 41:18
  tube
• 41:18
  that
• 41:18
  you
• 41:18
  would
• 41:19
  see
• 41:19
  going
• 41:19
  to
• 41:19
  your
• 41:19
  ice
• 41:20
  maker,
• 41:20
  going
• 41:21
  across
• 41:21
  the
• 41:21
  wall,
• 41:22
  over
• 41:22
  to
• 41:22
  the
• 41:22
  toilet
• 41:23
  and
• 41:23
  there
• 41:23
  were
• 41:24
  knobs,
• 41:24
  no
• 41:25
  power
• 41:25
  to
• 41:25
  run
• 41:26
  this
• 41:26
  thing
• 41:26
  and
• 41:27
  might
• 41:27
  as
• 41:28
  well
• 41:28
  just
• 41:28
  put
• 41:28
  a
• 41:28
  garden
• 41:29
  there
• 41:29
  with
• 41:29
  a
• 41:29
  sprayer.
• 41:30
  Horrible.
• 41:31
  And
• 41:31
  I'm
• 41:31
  like,
• 41:32
  no
• 41:32
  one's
• 41:32
  going
• 41:32
  to
• 41:32
  use
• 41:33
  this.
• 41:33
  No
• 41:34
  one's
• 41:34
  going
• 41:34
  to
• 41:34
  use
• 41:34
  this.
• 41:35
  Do
• 41:36
  it
• 41:36
  right.
• 41:36
  Who
• 41:37
  wants
• 41:38
  buy
• 41:38
  something
• 41:38
  that's
• 41:39
  going
• 41:39
  to
• 41:39
  be
• 41:39
  reliable,
• 41:40
  especially
• 41:40
  when
• 41:40
  you're
• 41:41
  dealing
• 41:41
  with
• 41:41
  water
• 41:42
  and
• 41:42
  electricity.
• 41:43
  Now
• 41:44
  these
• 41:44
  are
• 41:44
  safety
• 41:45
  things
• 41:45
  that
• 41:45
  you
• 41:45
  should
• 41:45
  consider.
• 41:46
  Just
• 41:46
  spend
• 41:47
  the
• 41:47
  money,
• 41:47
  invest
• 41:48
  in
• 41:48
  something
• 41:48
  quality,
• 41:49
  forget
• 41:50
  about
• 41:50
  it
• 41:50
  and
• 41:50
  just
• 41:50
  do
• 41:51
  normal.
• 41:51
  So
• 41:52
  this
• 41:52
  is
• 41:53
  a
• 41:53
  very
• 41:53
  sensitive
• 41:54
  area.
• 41:54
  It's
• 41:55
  a
• 41:55
  sensitive
• 41:56
  topic.
• 41:56
  It's
• 41:56
  a
• 41:56
  sensitive
• 41:57
  area.
• 41:58
  I
• 41:58
  don't
• 41:58
  want
• 41:59
  anything
• 42:00
  near
• 42:00
  me
• 42:01
  that
• 42:01
  isn't
• 42:02
  very
• 42:03
  highly
• 42:03
  tested,
• 42:04
  approved
• 42:05
  safety.
• 42:07
  Warm,
• 42:08
  but
• 42:08
  warm.
• 42:08
  Not
• 42:08
  in
• 42:09
  a
• 42:09
  way
• 42:09
  where
• 42:09
  there
• 42:09
  could
• 42:09
  be
• 42:10
  mold
• 42:10
  in
• 42:10
  the
• 42:10
  line
• 42:11
  or
• 42:11
  something
• 42:12
  terrible
• 42:12
  that
• 42:12
  would
• 42:13
  make
• 42:13
  me
• 42:13
  even
• 42:13
  sicker
• 42:14
  and
• 42:15
  give
• 42:15
  me
• 42:15
  a
• 42:15
  staph
• 42:15
  infection.
• 42:16
  I
• 42:16
  mean
• 42:17
  like,
• 42:18
  oh
• 42:18
  my
• 42:18
  gosh.
• 42:18
  And
• 42:19
  what
• 42:19
  was
• 42:19
  crazy
• 42:19
  was
• 42:19
  I
• 42:20
  don't
• 42:20
  know
• 42:20
  how,
• 42:20
  I
• 42:21
  don't
• 42:21
  know
• 42:21
  how
• 42:21
  long
• 42:21
  it
• 42:21
  had
• 42:21
  to
• 42:22
  run
• 42:22
  before
• 42:22
  you
• 42:22
  even
• 42:22
  got
• 42:22
  warm
• 42:23
  water
• 42:23
  because
• 42:23
  it
• 42:23
  was
• 42:23
  just,
• 42:24
  it
• 42:24
  had
• 42:24
  to
• 42:24
  be
• 42:24
  cold
• 42:25
  forever.
• 42:25
  So,
• 42:26
  you
• 42:26
  know,
• 42:26
  I'm
• 42:26
  like,
• 42:27
  okay,
• 42:27
  that
• 42:27
  had
• 42:27
  five
• 42:28
  feet
• 42:28
  to
• 42:28
  get
• 42:28
  to
• 42:28
  the
• 42:29
  vanity.
• 42:29
  So
• 42:29
  I'm
• 42:30
  like,
• 42:30
  All
• 42:30
  right,
• 42:30
  there's
• 42:31
  10
• 42:31
  seconds,
• 42:31
  maybe
• 42:32
  got
• 42:33
  some
• 42:33
  warm
• 42:33
  water.
• 42:34
  Assuming
• 42:34
  there
• 42:35
  was
• 42:35
  warm
• 42:35
  water
• 42:35
  at
• 42:36
  the
• 42:36
  faucet
• 42:37
  when
• 42:37
  you
• 42:37
  started.
• 42:37
  So
• 42:38
  it
• 42:38
  was.
• 42:38
  This
• 42:39
  is.
• 42:39
  Honestly,
• 42:40
  I
• 42:40
  have
• 42:40
  this
• 42:41
  conversation
• 42:41
  with
• 42:41
  clients
• 42:42
  a
• 42:42
  lot
• 42:42
  because
• 42:42
  you're
• 42:43
  a
• 42:43
  designer
• 42:43
  and
• 42:43
  a
• 42:44
  contractor
• 42:44
  and
• 42:44
  people
• 42:45
  get,
• 42:45
  they're
• 42:46
  so
• 42:46
  excited
• 42:47
  because
• 42:47
  now
• 42:47
  is
• 42:48
  the
• 42:48
  time
• 42:48
  and
• 42:49
  they
• 42:49
  are
• 42:49
  ready
• 42:50
  and
• 42:50
  they
• 42:50
  want
• 42:50
  this
• 42:50
  beautiful
• 42:51
  renovation
• 42:52
  and
• 42:52
  they
• 42:52
  can't
• 42:52
  wait.
• 42:53
  And
• 42:53
  then
• 42:53
  they
• 42:53
  get
• 42:54
  the
• 42:54
  quote
• 42:54
  back
• 42:55
  and
• 42:55
  then
• 42:55
  they
• 42:55
  cry.
• 42:56
  Even
• 42:56
  though
• 42:56
  I
• 42:56
  try
• 42:57
  really
• 42:57
  hard
• 42:57
  to
• 42:57
  prepare
• 42:58
  them
• 42:58
  in
• 42:58
  advance.
• 42:59
  A
• 42:59
  kitchen
• 42:59
  cost
• 43:00
  this
• 43:00
  approximately.
• 43:01
  Master
• 43:01
  bath
• 43:02
  cost
• 43:02
  this
• 43:02
  approximately.
• 43:03
  And
• 43:04
  sometimes
• 43:05
  the
• 43:05
  really
• 43:06
  high
• 43:06
  end
• 43:07
  contractors,
• 43:07
  there's
• 43:07
  a
• 43:08
  wait
• 43:08
  list.
• 43:08
  So
• 43:09
  maybe,
• 43:10
  maybe
• 43:10
  after
• 43:11
  we
• 43:11
  get
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  quote
• 43:11
  back,
• 43:12
  he
• 43:13
  or
• 43:13
  she
• 43:13
  can't
• 43:13
  start
• 43:14
  for
• 43:14
  another
• 43:14
  six
• 43:15
  months
• 43:15
  or
• 43:15
  something.
• 43:16
  Client
• 43:16
  look
• 43:16
  disappointed.
• 43:17
  They
• 43:17
  say,
• 43:18
  well,
• 43:18
  this
• 43:19
  way
• 43:19
  you
• 43:19
  have
• 43:19
  six
• 43:20
  more
• 43:20
  months
• 43:20
  to
• 43:21
  save
• 43:21
  and
• 43:22
  it
• 43:22
  won't
• 43:22
  be
• 43:22
  as
• 43:22
  painful
• 43:23
  and
• 43:24
  then
• 43:24
  you
• 43:24
  get
• 43:24
  what
• 43:24
  you
• 43:24
  really
• 43:25
  want.
• 43:26
  So
• 43:26
  in
• 43:26
  the
• 43:27
  long
• 43:27
  run,
• 43:27
  maybe
• 43:28
  this
• 43:28
  is
• 43:28
  God's
• 43:28
  providence
• 43:29
  so
• 43:29
  that
• 43:29
  you
• 43:29
  get
• 43:29
  the
• 43:30
  project
• 43:30
  that
• 43:30
  you
• 43:30
  really
• 43:31
  want.
• 43:31
  Exactly.
• 43:32
  Same
• 43:32
  with
• 43:32
  the
• 43:32
  toilet
• 43:33
  seat.
• 43:33
  Like
• 43:34
  if
• 43:35
  you,
• 43:35
  if
• 43:35
  you
• 43:35
  really,
• 43:36
  you
• 43:36
  really
• 43:37
  want
• 43:37
  the
• 43:37
  watchlet
• 43:38
  put
• 43:39
  aside
• 43:39
  a
• 43:39
  little
• 43:39
  bit
• 43:40
  every
• 43:40
  month
• 43:40
  and
• 43:40
  ta
• 43:41
  da.
• 43:41
  You'll
• 43:41
  be
• 43:42
  able
• 43:42
  to
• 43:42
  afford
• 43:42
  it
• 43:42
  and
• 43:43
  you
• 43:43
  won't
• 43:43
  have
• 43:43
  something
• 43:43
  terrifying
• 43:44
  coming
• 43:44
  at
• 43:45
  you
• 43:45
  from
• 43:46
  somewhere
• 43:46
  else.
• 43:47
  Eric,
• 43:48
  that's
• 43:48
  a
• 43:48
  horrible
• 43:49
  story.
• 43:49
  I
• 43:49
  can't.
• 43:49
  I
• 43:50
  like
• 43:50
  that,
• 43:50
  though.
• 43:50
  It's.
• 43:51
  It's.
• 43:51
  But
• 43:51
  it's.
• 43:51
  It
• 43:52
  is
• 43:52
  what
• 43:52
  it
• 43:52
  is.
• 43:52
  It's
• 43:52
  just.
• 43:53
  It's
• 43:53
  one
• 43:53
  of
• 43:53
  those
• 43:53
  things
• 43:53
  that
• 43:54
  I'm
• 43:54
  like,
• 43:54
  oh,
• 43:55
  there's
• 43:55
  so
• 43:55
  many
• 43:56
  places
• 43:56
  to.
• 43:56
  Save
• 43:57
  and
• 43:57
  he's
• 43:57
  your
• 43:58
  friend,
• 43:58
  he
• 43:58
  should
• 43:58
  know.
• 43:59
  It's
• 43:59
  not
• 44:00
  one
• 44:00
  of
• 44:00
  them.
• 44:00
  It's
• 44:01
  not
• 44:01
  one
• 44:01
  of
• 44:01
  them.
• 44:01
  I
• 44:01
  was
• 44:01
  just
• 44:02
  like,
• 44:02
  oh,
• 44:03
  no,
• 44:04
  no.
• 44:05
  It
• 44:06
  was
• 44:06
  just
• 44:06
  to
• 44:06
  help
• 44:06
  you.
• 44:07
  Yeah,
• 44:11
  I
• 44:11
  was
• 44:11
  looking
• 44:11
  at
• 44:12
  it,
• 44:12
  just
• 44:12
  going,
• 44:12
  oh,
• 44:12
  this.
• 44:13
  It
• 44:13
  was
• 44:13
  the
• 44:13
  hokiest
• 44:13
  thing
• 44:14
  I've
• 44:14
  ever
• 44:14
  seen.
• 44:14
  And
• 44:14
  I'm
• 44:15
  like,
• 44:15
  oh,
• 44:15
  I
• 44:15
  don't
• 44:16
  want
• 44:16
  anybody's
• 44:16
  first
• 44:17
  experience
• 44:18
  with
• 44:18
  technology
• 44:19
  to
• 44:19
  be
• 44:19
  that
• 44:19
  horrible.
• 44:20
  I
• 44:20
  was
• 44:20
  just
• 44:20
  like,
• 44:20
  oh,
• 44:21
  that
• 44:21
  looks.
• 44:22
  That's
• 44:22
  a
• 44:22
  hard
• 44:22
  pass.
• 44:23
  Really
• 44:23
  bad.
• 44:23
  Really
• 44:24
  bad.
• 44:24
  There's
• 44:25
  so
• 44:25
  many
• 44:25
  things.
• 44:25
  We're
• 44:25
  gonna
• 44:26
  have
• 44:26
  to
• 44:26
  wrap
• 44:26
  up
• 44:26
  here
• 44:26
  in
• 44:27
  a
• 44:27
  second,
• 44:27
  Wendy.
• 44:27
  But
• 44:27
  there
• 44:27
  are
• 44:28
  so
• 44:28
  many
• 44:28
  things
• 44:28
  that
• 44:28
  we
• 44:29
  can
• 44:29
  do
• 44:29
  now
• 44:29
  inside
• 44:29
  the
• 44:30
  house
• 44:30
  to
• 44:31
  make
• 44:31
  it
• 44:31
  so
• 44:32
  when
• 44:33
  that
• 44:33
  time
• 44:33
  comes,
• 44:34
  when
• 44:34
  you
• 44:34
  need
• 44:35
  more
• 44:35
  accessibility.
• 44:37
  I
• 44:38
  think
• 44:38
  as
• 44:38
  we
• 44:39
  shift
• 44:39
  our
• 44:39
  thinking
• 44:40
  into,
• 44:40
  okay,
• 44:40
  we're
• 44:41
  remodeling,
• 44:42
  I
• 44:42
  want
• 44:42
  this
• 44:42
  to
• 44:43
  stay
• 44:43
  in
• 44:43
  style
• 44:43
  for
• 44:44
  15
• 44:44
  years.
• 44:45
  I
• 44:45
  think
• 44:45
  people
• 44:45
  really
• 44:46
  should
• 44:46
  think
• 44:46
  about,
• 44:46
  is
• 44:47
  this
• 44:47
  going
• 44:47
  to
• 44:47
  keep
• 44:48
  up
• 44:48
  with
• 44:48
  me
• 44:48
  in
• 44:48
  15?
• 44:49
  Definitely.
• 44:50
  And
• 44:51
  you
• 44:51
  don't
• 44:51
  have
• 44:51
  to
• 44:52
  know,
• 44:52
  like,
• 44:53
  you
• 44:53
  don't
• 44:53
  have
• 44:53
  to
• 44:53
  see
• 44:53
  it
• 44:54
  all.
• 44:54
  Most
• 44:54
  of
• 44:55
  honestly
• 44:55
  preparing
• 44:56
  for
• 44:56
  your
• 44:56
  future
• 44:57
  in
• 44:58
  all
• 44:58
  aspects
• 44:58
  of
• 44:59
  life,
• 44:59
  you
• 44:59
  rarely
• 45:00
  see.
• 45:01
  It's
• 45:01
  not
• 45:01
  like
• 45:01
  a
• 45:02
  visible
• 45:02
  demonstration
• 45:03
  of
• 45:03
  you
• 45:03
  preparing
• 45:04
  for
• 45:04
  the
• 45:04
  future.
• 45:04
  It's
• 45:05
  all
• 45:06
  things
• 45:07
  quietly
• 45:08
  decisions
• 45:09
  that
• 45:09
  you
• 45:09
  make
• 45:10
  to
• 45:10
  make
• 45:10
  your
• 45:10
  life
• 45:11
  better
• 45:11
  in
• 45:11
  the
• 45:12
  long
• 45:12
  run.
• 45:13
  And
• 45:13
  it's
• 45:13
  the
• 45:13
  same
• 45:14
  in
• 45:14
  construction.
• 45:15
  And
• 45:15
  you
• 45:15
  can,
• 45:16
  you
• 45:16
  can
• 45:16
  be
• 45:17
  cavalier
• 45:17
  about
• 45:18
  your
• 45:18
  money
• 45:18
  and
• 45:19
  stewardship
• 45:20
  and
• 45:20
  spend
• 45:21
  however
• 45:21
  much
• 45:21
  you're
• 45:22
  going
• 45:22
  to
• 45:22
  on
• 45:22
  a
• 45:22
  bathroom
• 45:23
  and
• 45:23
  then
• 45:23
  decide
• 45:24
  later,
• 45:24
  oh,
• 45:25
  well,
• 45:25
  this
• 45:25
  isn't
• 45:26
  really
• 45:26
  working.
• 45:26
  And
• 45:26
  I
• 45:26
  want
• 45:27
  to
• 45:27
  spend
• 45:27
  this
• 45:28
  to
• 45:28
  destroy
• 45:28
  it
• 45:29
  doing
• 45:29
  all
• 45:29
  the
• 45:29
  work
• 45:30
  because
• 45:30
  I
• 45:30
  forgot
• 45:30
  to
• 45:31
  block
• 45:32
  her
• 45:32
  grandparents.
• 45:33
  But
• 45:33
  I
• 45:34
  don't
• 45:34
  want
• 45:34
  to
• 45:34
  see
• 45:34
  somebody
• 45:35
  have
• 45:35
  that
• 45:36
  happen.
• 45:36
  I
• 45:37
  had
• 45:37
  this.
• 45:37
  It's
• 45:37
  never
• 45:38
  cheaper
• 45:38
  the
• 45:38
  next
• 45:38
  time.
• 45:39
  No.
• 45:40
  And
• 45:40
  I
• 45:41
  had
• 45:41
  this
• 45:41
  sweet
• 45:41
  little
• 45:42
  lady
• 45:42
  ask
• 45:43
  me
• 45:43
  to
• 45:43
  come
• 45:43
  to
• 45:43
  her
• 45:44
  house
• 45:44
  to
• 45:44
  do
• 45:44
  her
• 45:45
  bathroom.
• 45:46
  She
• 45:46
  was
• 45:47
  in
• 45:47
  her
• 45:47
  late
• 45:47
  70s,
• 45:48
  beautiful
• 45:49
  home,
• 45:50
  very
• 45:50
  well
• 45:50
  cared
• 45:51
  for,
• 45:51
  and
• 45:52
  she
• 45:52
  refused
• 45:53
  to
• 45:54
  put
• 45:54
  in
• 45:54
  a
• 45:54
  zero
• 45:55
  threshold
• 45:55
  shower
• 45:56
  or
• 45:56
  blocking
• 45:57
  for
• 45:57
  grab
• 45:57
  bars.
• 45:58
  And
• 45:58
  I
• 45:58
  had
• 45:59
  to
• 45:59
  write
• 45:59
  her
• 45:59
  a
• 45:59
  note
• 46:00
  and
• 46:00
  return
• 46:00
  her
• 46:00
  deposit
• 46:01
  and
• 46:01
  just
• 46:01
  say,
• 46:01
  in
• 46:01
  all
• 46:02
  good
• 46:02
  conscience,
• 46:02
  I
• 46:03
  can't
• 46:03
  do
• 46:03
  this
• 46:03
  project
• 46:04
  because
• 46:04
  I'd
• 46:04
  be.
• 46:05
  I'd
• 46:05
  be
• 46:05
  a
• 46:05
  bad
• 46:06
  steward
• 46:06
  of
• 46:06
  your
• 46:06
  resources.
• 46:07
  I
• 46:08
  like,
• 46:08
  this
• 46:08
  is
• 46:08
  just
• 46:08
  wrong.
• 46:09
  So
• 46:10
  I
• 46:10
  never
• 46:10
  thought
• 46:11
  I'd
• 46:11
  be
• 46:11
  in
• 46:11
  a
• 46:11
  position
• 46:11
  like
• 46:12
  that.
• 46:12
  But
• 46:12
  now
• 46:12
  that
• 46:12
  I
• 46:13
  understand
• 46:14
  especially
• 46:14
  working
• 46:14
  with
• 46:15
  my
• 46:15
  friend
• 46:15
  and
• 46:15
  seeing
• 46:16
  people
• 46:16
  and
• 46:17
  even
• 46:17
  my
• 46:17
  nurse
• 46:18
  manager
• 46:18
  client.
• 46:19
  I
• 46:19
  just
• 46:19
  don't
• 46:19
  want
• 46:20
  to
• 46:20
  waste
• 46:20
  somebody's
• 46:21
  resources.
• 46:22
  But
• 46:22
  yes,
• 46:23
  like
• 46:23
  think
• 46:23
  in
• 46:23
  advance,
• 46:24
  plan
• 46:24
  in
• 46:24
  advance
• 46:25
  and
• 46:25
  then
• 46:25
  keep
• 46:25
  the
• 46:26
  money
• 46:26
  that
• 46:26
  you'd
• 46:26
  have
• 46:26
  to
• 46:27
  keep
• 46:27
  to
• 46:28
  redo
• 46:28
  your
• 46:28
  shower
• 46:28
  and
• 46:29
  go
• 46:29
  on
• 46:29
  a
• 46:29
  fun
• 46:29
  trip.
• 46:30
  Absolutely.
• 46:31
  I'll
• 46:31
  tell
• 46:31
  you
• 46:31
  my
• 46:31
  little
• 46:32
  design
• 46:32
  secret
• 46:32
  I've
• 46:32
  been
• 46:32
  doing
• 46:33
  for
• 46:33
  the
• 46:33
  last
• 46:33
  15
• 46:34
  years.
• 46:34
  I
• 46:35
  sneak
• 46:35
  blocking
• 46:35
  in.
• 46:36
  I
• 46:36
  never
• 46:37
  tell
• 46:37
  them.
• 46:37
  Yeah,
• 46:38
  well
• 46:38
  I
• 46:38
  do.
• 46:39
  I
• 46:39
  don't
• 46:39
  care
• 46:39
  what
• 46:39
  the
• 46:39
  bathroom
• 46:40
  is.
• 46:40
  I
• 46:40
  don't
• 46:40
  care
• 46:40
  if
• 46:41
  they're
• 46:41
  a
• 46:42
  25
• 46:42
  year
• 46:42
  old
• 46:42
  tech
• 46:43
  couple
• 46:43
  that's
• 46:43
  in
• 46:43
  there.
• 46:44
  I
• 46:44
  just
• 46:44
  my
• 46:45
  contractor.
• 46:45
  I
• 46:45
  knew
• 46:46
  that
• 46:46
  comes
• 46:47
  to
• 46:47
  them
• 46:47
  even
• 46:47
  hanging
• 46:48
  up
• 46:48
  owl
• 46:49
  bars
• 46:49
  later.
• 46:50
  Endless
• 46:51
  where
• 46:51
  they
• 46:51
  can
• 46:51
  put
• 46:51
  it.
• 46:51
  So
• 46:52
  they
• 46:52
  just
• 46:52
  would
• 46:52
  quietly
• 46:53
  block
• 46:53
  it
• 46:53
  out.
• 46:54
  Nobody
• 46:54
  would
• 46:55
  see
• 46:55
  it.
• 46:55
  They
• 46:55
  got
• 46:55
  the
• 46:55
  wall
• 46:56
  open
• 46:56
  anyway
• 46:57
  and
• 46:57
  we
• 46:57
  would
• 46:57
  just
• 46:58
  sneak
• 46:58
  it
• 46:58
  in
• 46:59
  every
• 46:59
  project
• 46:59
  and
• 47:00
  go.
• 47:00
  That
• 47:00
  is
• 47:01
  a
• 47:01
  gift
• 47:01
  for
• 47:01
  the
• 47:01
  people
• 47:02
  on
• 47:03
  the
• 47:03
  road
• 47:03
  to
• 47:03
  find.
• 47:04
  They
• 47:04
  need
• 47:05
  it.
• 47:05
  That's
• 47:05
  great.
• 47:05
  They're
• 47:06
  going
• 47:06
  to
• 47:06
  have
• 47:06
  it.
• 47:07
  Just
• 47:07
  made
• 47:07
  up
• 47:07
  My
• 47:07
  new
• 47:08
  standard
• 47:08
  of
• 47:08
  like
• 47:08
  we
• 47:09
  will
• 47:09
  always
• 47:09
  block.
• 47:10
  Let's
• 47:11
  just
• 47:11
  do
• 47:11
  it.
• 47:11
  And
• 47:12
  life
• 47:12
  so
• 47:12
  much
• 47:12
  easier
• 47:12
  for
• 47:13
  everybody
• 47:13
  down
• 47:13
  there.
• 47:13
  Oh
• 47:14
  that's
• 47:14
  great
• 47:15
  idea.
• 47:16
  It'd
• 47:16
  be
• 47:16
  sneaky.
• 47:17
  That
• 47:17
  would
• 47:17
  be
• 47:17
  policy
• 47:18
  at
• 47:18
  Wendy

• 47:20
  There
• 47:20
  you
• 47:20
  go.
• 47:22
  And
• 47:22
  thank
• 47:22
  you
• 47:22
  so
• 47:22
  much.
• 47:23
  Thanks

• 47:23
  taking
• 47:23
  the

• 47:24
  I

  can't
• 47:24
  wait
• 47:24
  for
• 47:25
  next
• 47:25

• 47:25
  because

  you

• 47:26
  such
• 47:26
  fun
• 47:27
  conversations

• 47:28
  And

  of
