- 0:03Speaker 2: Podcast Bhulet Caps Show Special guests here. She just dropped
- 0:09Speaker 2: her new record, Nanny Nanny Sweety is here. Welcome, what's up?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Good to see you.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Nice to see you.
- 0:16Speaker 2: So last time I saw you was backstage at Rolling Loud.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It was like running and gunning, just jumping in people's
- 0:22Speaker 2: faces with microphones. Have you fully recovered from the Niners
- 0:26Speaker 2: losing in the Super Bowl? And you know, I just
- 0:28Speaker 2: want to make sure you know, it's been some months now,
- 0:30Speaker 2: Like I just want to see if like you're healed.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Who's Sam?
- 0:35Speaker 2: It doesn't even the Arizona Cardinals. You know what's great
- 0:38Speaker 2: about super Bowl? Oh nine? But we've never won anything,
- 0:44Speaker 2: but it's really good. Like if you if you root
- 0:47Speaker 2: for shitty teams, I never have the heartbreak. I just
- 0:50Speaker 2: know we're gonna suck, you know, damn. But you know,
- 0:53Speaker 2: you know the Niners, like the Niners that give you
- 0:56Speaker 2: blue balls every two years or so, like he shot,
- 1:00Speaker 2: they're a really young team. But you had the song yeah,
- 1:03Speaker 2: which was cool.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Shout out to Pilo.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Shouts to Pilo. How was like your experience having the
- 1:09Speaker 2: Niner song this year during like that run and then
- 1:11Speaker 2: like going to the Super Bowl in Vegas.
- 1:15Speaker 3: You know, I was really really really happy for the moment.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Right mm hmm for the moment yep.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all about the moment, right right. At least
- 1:25Speaker 1: we got there.
- 1:26Speaker 2: At least you got there. Any any of the players
- 1:29Speaker 2: from like the team, Like, have you bought like any
- 1:31Speaker 2: any relationships friends on the team.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, my uncle actually coaches for special teams, really, Matthew Harper?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Wow, yeah, So are your friends with the field goal kicker? No,
- 1:43Speaker 2: the punter? Uh uh no, I got as. I don't
- 1:45Speaker 2: know that's tight though. So you've been tapped in?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Ben tapped in?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Hey, no pun intended tap tap tap in anyway? Yo,
- 1:55Speaker 2: you would recently said maybe, I don't know. It's like
- 1:58Speaker 2: three or four months ago you hadn't put out a
- 2:00Speaker 2: new body of work because you felt like people didn't
- 2:02Speaker 2: care at the time, which I thought was something that
- 2:05Speaker 2: was like very like honest for you to say that,
- 2:08Speaker 2: because most artists wouldn't even be that transparent about like
- 2:11Speaker 2: however they feel. You know, why do you think that
- 2:13Speaker 2: that is the case? And yeah, like when are we
- 2:17Speaker 2: going to get a project?
- 2:18Speaker 1: I think that was a really misogynistic take on a
- 2:21Speaker 1: statement that I made at a time in a magazine
- 2:25Speaker 1: article that had came out.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Those magazine articles are terrible because they just get oh.
- 2:29Speaker 3: No, no, no no.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Because in the magazine article, I said, the team around.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Me, oh, so it was like, your team didn't give a.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Fuck no because I was. I was a content girl.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I was doing all these brand deals.
- 2:43Speaker 1: However, like my content and the brand deals started to
- 2:46Speaker 1: outweigh the music, and the music is the reason why
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm here. I never said that nobody cared about my music.
- 2:52Speaker 2: But the quote went out there, and yes, it was
- 2:54Speaker 2: very misconstrained, and I.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Didn't clear it up because I didn't care to clean
- 2:57Speaker 1: it up because I know that whoever was doing it intensionally,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know, had you know, a malicious intent, and you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: once the story breaks, it was like everywhere and I
- 3:08Speaker 1: was like, I'm not trying to say I was just
- 3:09Speaker 1: with a tweet.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I know what's up my fans know what's up?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Icy girls out there?
- 3:15Speaker 3: Boys?
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you had a I mean listen, I had your
- 3:17Speaker 2: McDonald's meal solid. Uh you know, do you get like
- 3:21Speaker 2: when you get that McDonald's brand deal, do you get
- 3:23Speaker 2: like some sort of like during negotiations, like I want
- 3:26Speaker 2: to be able to go to McDonald's anytime and just
- 3:28Speaker 2: get what I want.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Like, I mean, it don't really cost that much, so
- 3:32Speaker 1: I wasn't really tripping, I.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Know, but like it's still you know, I feel like
- 3:36Speaker 2: they have these When I did radio in Florida and
- 3:39Speaker 2: they gave us this orange car at Hooters. So when
- 3:40Speaker 2: we go to Hooters forever, we just put the car
- 3:42Speaker 2: down you get half off. Yeah. I was just like
- 3:45Speaker 2: to be cool with McDonald's, like you go in there
- 3:46Speaker 2: and just get two cheeseburgers free, no matter what.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Like, oh, I didn't think about that.
- 3:50Speaker 2: No. Yeah, sweety meal was popping on.
- 3:53Speaker 3: How many sweety meals? Did you mean?
- 3:55Speaker 2: I think I had one?
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:58Speaker 3: He said it was popping like he was ordering.
- 4:00Speaker 2: My kid and my wife got a few.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I'm not you do save anything like the Sweetie sauce.
- 4:05Speaker 2: No, no't save any no, but I you know, I
- 4:09Speaker 2: don't want to fuck up the dad bod anymore. By
- 4:11Speaker 2: you know, McDonald's is cool. Thank you well. Me and
- 4:16Speaker 2: Brandon appreciate that.
- 4:19Speaker 3: No.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I was gonna say the bodies of work this new single.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I think it's a great song, by the way.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Thank you. It's like trending. It's number three or four
- 4:29Speaker 3: on YouTube right now.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's dope. You've been putting out a lot of singles,
- 4:32Speaker 2: but uh, when is the time for you to give
- 4:35Speaker 2: us a new body of work.
- 4:37Speaker 3: The body of work is done, so it is done.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're picking out the next singles and you know,
- 4:44Speaker 1: just based on the algorithm, the environment and how like
- 4:47Speaker 1: the frequency of everything is, we'll decide when we're gonna.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Drop this album.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You got some big features.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I haven't got my features yet none.
- 4:55Speaker 1: To be honest, some of my biggest songs are myself, I.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Would say your most iconic songs for sure.
- 5:03Speaker 1: When I listen to my music sometimes I just want
- 5:05Speaker 1: to hear my types.
- 5:06Speaker 2: You tap in was I mean, the remix is fucking fire,
- 5:08Speaker 2: by the way, the remix thank.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You, and that was a really big remix. But you know,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I am open to sharing my craft this time around.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I think like a best friend was a moment when Yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 2: that was like a real moment. Yeah, and that was
- 5:22Speaker 2: like I feel like that was kind of like the
- 5:24Speaker 2: kind of helped like turn the corner for her in
- 5:27Speaker 2: terms of being like that was like a big hit
- 5:29Speaker 2: for her, you know what I'm saying early, you know,
- 5:30Speaker 2: and for me too, and for you for sure talk
- 5:34Speaker 2: to me about just it. You know, you said that
- 5:37Speaker 2: you and your team or your team was focused on
- 5:39Speaker 2: more on the brand deals and stuff. For you, like
- 5:42Speaker 2: you're already super successful, you're a superstar. What like do
- 5:45Speaker 2: you use to motivate you to you know, stay creative
- 5:49Speaker 2: and make sure that you're sharp and always you know,
- 5:51Speaker 2: putting in the work on the music side. Because I'm assuming,
- 5:54Speaker 2: like I know, like I get unmotivated sometimes I'm like, man,
- 5:58Speaker 2: I'm doing better. I don't got to chase interviews like
- 5:59Speaker 2: I used to, you know, And was that ever something
- 6:02Speaker 2: that you went through and if not, like, how do
- 6:04Speaker 2: you stay motivated to get in the stewing?
- 6:06Speaker 1: I think what's motivating me right now is just my ambition.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And I feel like because there's like there was like
- 6:14Speaker 1: a lot of naysayers.
- 6:16Speaker 3: When I chose to take a break.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Because I chose to take a break, it wasn't like
- 6:20Speaker 1: a oh SWEETI fell off or Suweeti's doing this or
- 6:23Speaker 1: doing that. However, that was the perception because I had
- 6:26Speaker 1: taken a break.
- 6:27Speaker 3: So I think I'm in a point.
- 6:28Speaker 1: In my career where I'm really just like proving myself
- 6:31Speaker 1: right now, Like it had got back to me. That's
- 6:33Speaker 1: someone I used to like work with, was like, oh,
- 6:35Speaker 1: she's going down and I'm like, well, all right, bitch,
- 6:37Speaker 1: if I go down, the only way I can goes up.
- 6:39Speaker 3: From here, now, ain't that right?
- 6:41Speaker 1: So I was like, I feel like I'm working my
- 6:43Speaker 1: way back up right now, and that's what's driving me.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I was gonna say, like, so for you, you could
- 6:49Speaker 2: take that negative shit that you hear and use it
- 6:51Speaker 2: as like it's almost like what Michael Jordan used to do. Yeah,
- 6:54Speaker 2: he would like, see what somebody sent a newspaper and
- 6:56Speaker 2: then yeah, used it to go put fifty on them.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's that kind of stuff motivates me because
- 7:01Speaker 1: I was an athlete growing up. So it's like it
- 7:04Speaker 1: only helps me when of the shit gets back to me.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Right and it ain't like you. I mean, you put
- 7:08Speaker 2: out some successful.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Records, yeah, but you know how people like to when
- 7:13Speaker 1: you aren't as because I had taken a break, I
- 7:16Speaker 1: wasn't so.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I wasn't in the public eye a lot.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you weren't like doing it because that is true.
- 7:23Speaker 2: When people like step away, they think because if I
- 7:26Speaker 2: don't see somebody on Academics or Hollywood Unlocked, they fell
- 7:31Speaker 2: off or they went away or something, and it's like, well,
- 7:32Speaker 2: maybe I'm just relaxing, you know, maybe I just needed
- 7:34Speaker 2: to unplugged.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I was regretting, I was perfecting my craft.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I was doing all of these things to make me
- 7:39Speaker 1: a better artist because I felt like at a point
- 7:41Speaker 1: in time, my content was overpowering my music. But I've
- 7:44Speaker 1: always like, I really loved music and that's why I'm here.
- 7:47Speaker 3: So I didn't want to become like an influencer.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Right, you still have your Uh? You had it? Was
- 7:52Speaker 2: it a brand deal with Pretty Little Thing or was.
- 7:54Speaker 3: It restrashing over the POC? Was it was like a
- 7:56Speaker 3: really long time ago shout out to them.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They had gave me my first deal, like around one
- 8:00Speaker 1: of my first brand deals, I think, like after Icy Girl,
- 8:04Speaker 1: PREMI type.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And then you had was it makeup mac Makeup?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, okay, you got a lot of shit. What
- 8:13Speaker 2: are you like? Your entrepreneur side is pretty crazy as well,
- 8:17Speaker 2: Like is there anything else outside of music that you're
- 8:18Speaker 2: working on behind the scenes.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Or I am working on two beauty products.
- 8:23Speaker 2: What are the beauty products.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I'd like to get them in motion before I start
- 8:27Speaker 3: speaking about it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You know, I think, what because you have baby hairs? Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I think some some some like there needs to be
- 8:34Speaker 2: a celebrity baby hair brush. My wife, she got baby hair.
- 8:38Speaker 2: She always use a fucking toothbrush.
- 8:40Speaker 3: That's what I'd be using.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I'm saying, but like, what if there was a sweety
- 8:43Speaker 2: baby hair brush.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You know, if I had a sweety baby hair brush,
- 8:46Speaker 1: it would be like the Clgate brush, because I feel
- 8:48Speaker 1: like Clgate.
- 8:49Speaker 3: The things are smoother, the bristles.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I feel like they're better than the beauty supply store
- 8:55Speaker 1: baby hair brushes.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Oh, they actually make baby hair brushes.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I just don't like brushes. They're super hard. I'd rather
- 9:01Speaker 3: use like a regular tube brush.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Right. I saw you backstage when Sexy Red was performing
- 9:07Speaker 2: at Rolling Loud. You guys had a moment back when
- 9:09Speaker 2: she got off stage, which I thought was dope because
- 9:12Speaker 2: I think so much like when we see like somebody
- 9:15Speaker 2: who's like hot and knew you know, we've seen instances
- 9:19Speaker 2: where some of the you know more og and you're
- 9:23Speaker 2: kind of an OG. Now. I don't want to age you,
- 9:24Speaker 2: but sure you know you're you're approaching there seven years now.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Right since six six seven six seven.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I think seven.
- 9:33Speaker 3: What's twenty seventeen, twenty seventeen.
- 9:36Speaker 2: When the freestyle drop anyway, either one. But I was
- 9:41Speaker 2: gonna say it was dope to see you embrace her
- 9:42Speaker 2: and just like watch the show, Like I was thinking
- 9:44Speaker 2: you were gonna come out, but you were just enjoying
- 9:46Speaker 2: the show and then like gave you gave.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Her probably like good music.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, But I was gonna say, why is that
- 9:50Speaker 2: like like important to you? And what was about Sexy
- 9:52Speaker 2: Red that you fucked with? Like, because I just think
- 9:53Speaker 2: she's just hilarious, Like I think she's unapologetically herself at
- 9:57Speaker 2: all times.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I just like good music, and I feel like that's
- 9:59Speaker 1: what she I had got to my I had got
- 10:02Speaker 1: to rolling out earlier because I was supposed to. Well,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I did come out later on that night, but I
- 10:09Speaker 1: just wanted to see like the music live because I
- 10:12Speaker 1: love live music as.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Well, and I thought it was cool, like to like
- 10:16Speaker 3: meet him.
- 10:18Speaker 2: What do you think You're a West coast check? Obviously
- 10:20Speaker 2: you went to USC from sac. How we feeling? Uh
- 10:24Speaker 2: was Kendrick's performance? Are we proud? Oh?
- 10:26Speaker 3: My gosh, Yeah, that was that was very shocking.
- 10:31Speaker 2: You're shocked that it was as lopsided as it was.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I think I was more so.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I was more so impressed with the banger that came
- 10:43Speaker 1: out with it, because not only is it a banger,
- 10:45Speaker 1: but he's preaching right Like He's like, it's not just
- 10:49Speaker 1: like just fun bars. It's like, no, he's preaching. I
- 10:55Speaker 1: literally I went to like Rap Genius and I read
- 10:57Speaker 1: everything because I was like, I'm not missing nothing.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it was funny because everybody was like, yeah, but
- 11:01Speaker 2: you know, all these Kendrick songs he's dropping, they're like
- 11:04Speaker 2: super like artsy and you can't bump them. And then
- 11:07Speaker 2: he puts out the number one fucking song on the
- 11:09Speaker 2: planet and it's just a Jesus.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I love seeing what people say you can't do and
- 11:15Speaker 1: then you do it, and then when you do it,
- 11:16Speaker 1: it's something that like nobody ever even fathom.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So I think it was dope.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Any producers you're working with on the new album that
- 11:25Speaker 2: are notable, we.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Could I'm working with Jay White, I'm working with John Baptiste.
- 11:29Speaker 3: John Baptiste just st now me.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh nice is I feel like I've heard that name
- 11:36Speaker 2: a lot John Baptiste. He's done a lot of shit, right, Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 2: that's a great name, John Baptiste. I feel like he
- 11:41Speaker 2: should be a country singer with that name.
- 11:43Speaker 3: I think as an artist with.
- 11:44Speaker 2: That name, there might be Maybe that's what I'm thinking of.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Are there two John Baptists in the world. Shit, that's crazy.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Il Like, if there's two sweety's spelling, you'd be like, what,
- 11:54Speaker 2: there's only one?
- 11:55Speaker 3: Anyway, I'd like to see.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Sound wise, how's the new music that isn't out yet? Like,
- 12:01Speaker 2: what's it sounding like?
- 12:02Speaker 1: I think it's just music that you really have to
- 12:04Speaker 1: listen to, Like, I can't really describe the sound. I
- 12:07Speaker 1: think it just sounds like sweetie. Like my goal was
- 12:10Speaker 1: to get to a point in my career where you're
- 12:12Speaker 1: able to play a beat and then someone feels like
- 12:14Speaker 1: that's a sweety beat.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I feel like that's what I've been searching for this
- 12:17Speaker 3: whole time.
- 12:17Speaker 2: That's dope. You had put out your mixtape. Was it
- 12:20Speaker 2: like three years ago? What was the tape called that
- 12:23Speaker 2: you had Draco on?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Oh, pretty summer playlist. I was like three years ago, huh.
- 12:29Speaker 2: But you it was dope because Draco was like fresh
- 12:32Speaker 2: out and you know, I think Draco's one of the
- 12:34Speaker 2: most influential artist period, especially if you listen to anything
- 12:37Speaker 2: that's come out of LA the last six years, seven years.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But I thought it was dope, like almost like immediately
- 12:43Speaker 2: when he got out, like you guys work together. You know,
- 12:47Speaker 2: obviously rest in peace to him, but like, like, what
- 12:49Speaker 2: were you a fan of Draco like when he was
- 12:52Speaker 2: doing his thing, you know, because he's he's a West
- 12:55Speaker 2: Coast legend for sure. You know.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Yeah, at that point in my career, I really just
- 12:58Speaker 1: wanted to collaborate with the whole bunch of California artists,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and he was one of them. I was listening to
- 13:03Speaker 1: like some of his music, and I actually wanted that
- 13:06Speaker 1: to be an annual thing, but I'm like, what two
- 13:09Speaker 1: or three summers behind because I've been focusing on other things.
- 13:11Speaker 2: But yeah, because I didn't even look at that as
- 13:13Speaker 2: like an album of yours. I looked at it as
- 13:15Speaker 2: kind of like you were putting on like younger like
- 13:17Speaker 2: it was.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It was a mix up, and I was just showing
- 13:19Speaker 1: love to like artists that were coming up, right because
- 13:22Speaker 1: I felt like, you make some of your best music
- 13:25Speaker 1: in the come up era.
- 13:26Speaker 3: So I just wanted to like touch bases with those people.
- 13:29Speaker 2: For sure. For sure. Anything while you were taking a
- 13:33Speaker 2: break and kind of staying out of the spotlight. Any
- 13:35Speaker 2: new hobbies you picked up, Any new TV shows you
- 13:37Speaker 2: got into.
- 13:40Speaker 3: M I watched.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Griselda shout out to uh, Grisela Blanco. It's a great show.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but they minimized her story to like six seven episodes.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a head. Did you watch Cocaine Cowboys, the
- 13:56Speaker 2: two documentaries. Yeah, yeah, so it's like.
- 13:59Speaker 3: But I don't think they did her story justice.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah, if you watch, like I used to sell Cocaine
- 14:04Speaker 2: Cowboys or the Swaping back in the day bootlegged of
- 14:06Speaker 2: course on the DVD. But yeah, it was very like
- 14:11Speaker 2: it was just like you know, I feel like with Netflix,
- 14:13Speaker 2: like when they cram like a miniseries together, they can't
- 14:15Speaker 2: cover everything. But it was fire a shot to her man.
- 14:18Speaker 2: What's her name? From a modern family?
- 14:20Speaker 1: She's hot, Sophia Vigara, She's a legend, super beautiful.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Super beautiful. So you're watching Griselda. You have you ever
- 14:29Speaker 2: play video games?
- 14:30Speaker 3: I played Crash Bandy Group and Super Mario.
- 14:34Speaker 2: So you have just a like OG PlayStation on hand.
- 14:37Speaker 2: What are you playing?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, no, I really want to get one
- 14:39Speaker 1: of them old the Nintendo.

- 23:38Speaker 2: Is that hard to deal with where you don't even
- 23:40Speaker 2: know if like you could exist without knowing that there's
- 23:44Speaker 2: some fucking weirdo with a giant lens like up the
- 23:46Speaker 2: block and hidden in an escalade taking pictures of you,
- 23:49Speaker 2: Like what is that like dealing with?

- 24:43Speaker 2: No, I'm comfortable where I'm making a lot of money
- 24:46Speaker 2: right now and it's cool. I don't have people jumping
- 24:47Speaker 2: out on even no cameras, so.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Much money you're making.

- 29:22Speaker 1: for example, like I want to to San Diego State,
- 29:26Speaker 1: right San Diego. Yeah, so it's like as a pure
- 29:29Speaker 1: college town, there's no distractions when I came out here.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's like I'm at usc I'm in the middle of
- 29:36Speaker 1: La Hollywood. There's the entertainment industry, and it was the
- 29:40Speaker 1: craziest blend of worlds, you know, I was living in
- 29:44Speaker 1: La We get desensitized to like the celebrity for sure,
- 29:47Speaker 1: and like we just it just it becomes so regular.
- 29:50Speaker 1: But I think it'd be dope to just hear, to
- 29:53Speaker 1: just see like a story of like a of a
- 29:56Speaker 1: college student in the lit city and whatever their storyline is,
- 30:00Speaker 1: their storyline. But I feel like it's always the same
- 30:03Speaker 1: group of people in the same environment with the same storyline.
- 30:06Speaker 2: For sure. It's always like I feel like any show
- 30:08Speaker 2: you watch it is very like you said, the storyline
- 30:10Speaker 2: is very similar. That'd be dope. Like maybe somebody from
- 30:13Speaker 2: like fucking Jackson, Mississippi gets a scholarship to like UCLA
- 30:17Speaker 2: and now there they moved to the big city and
- 30:19Speaker 2: they're like what the fuck and they end up like
- 30:22Speaker 2: do you ever watch Dave Dave no with a Little
- 30:25Speaker 2: Dickey show?
- 30:26Speaker 3: Is it good?
- 30:27Speaker 2: It's very funny, It's pretty good. You know whyche isn't
- 30:31Speaker 2: it good? Good appearance? Heart?
- 30:33Speaker 3: He's a great actor.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Great is a word ain't that your fun very much?
- 30:38Speaker 2: So he was in a movie called White Tea back
- 30:40Speaker 2: in the day.
- 30:41Speaker 3: White Tea.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it was about a white tea and it was
- 30:44Speaker 2: straight to DVD.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Really did you watch it?
- 30:47Speaker 2: Actually? Did?
- 30:48Speaker 3: He was showing them cities.
- 30:50Speaker 2: No though. This was like twenty ten, I think, and
- 30:53Speaker 2: I remember you told me about it and I saw
- 30:54Speaker 2: it at the liquor store and I was like, this
- 30:57Speaker 2: is a real movie. He wasn't lying. Yeah, everyone go
- 31:01Speaker 2: watch White t somewhere. It's probably on to me, not
- 31:03Speaker 2: to me. Was called to be, to be probably on
- 31:06Speaker 2: Tob for sure.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Show Do you watch Toby sometimes?
- 31:10Speaker 2: Yeah? Tooby's interesting. I want to I feel like just
- 31:13Speaker 2: doing a Toob movie would be fun. Shoot the whole
- 31:15Speaker 2: thing on an iPhone.
- 31:15Speaker 3: What would a movie be about?
- 31:17Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know. Zombie prostitutes?
- 31:22Speaker 3: What's good? Yeah?
- 31:26Speaker 2: Right?
- 31:26Speaker 3: Okay, so the gift that keeps giving? Wait? So what?
- 31:30Speaker 2: And so there's like, tis no, I got the idea.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I'm freestelling right now. So we got a prostitute who's zombie,
- 31:38Speaker 2: but she doesn't know she's zombie yet. So she's spreading
- 31:42Speaker 2: the zombie virus to all of her clients. So everyone
- 31:45Speaker 2: that she fucks becomes a fucking zombie and she realizes
- 31:49Speaker 2: she's a zombie. And by the time she realizes that,
- 31:51Speaker 2: she's like, there's just like all these married dudes that
- 31:55Speaker 2: fucked her off a figure rolla and then they're they're
- 31:59Speaker 2: going home to their face and then they're spreading the
- 32:01Speaker 2: zombie virus to their family and it's all the sources.
- 32:05Speaker 2: This prostitute who was a zombie from.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Fig Oh my gosh, to.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Be Smash, that's going to be Platinum's she's a mute
- 32:16Speaker 2: and mute. Oh I was like she can't talk.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Wow, I'm crazy. It could work, oh I like that
- 32:25Speaker 3: ebout a people, or we.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Could also do this. We could do like do you
- 32:29Speaker 2: remember there was like what was that that ship where
- 32:32Speaker 2: if you watched it like you would die like a
- 32:36Speaker 2: go sip. No, there was like some sort of how
- 32:38Speaker 2: about this, how about the ring version of Only Fans? Right? So, like,
- 32:46Speaker 2: you subscribe to this only Fans account, right because it's
- 32:48Speaker 2: on Twitter, it's going super viral. But what you don't
- 32:51Speaker 2: know is that this bitch on Only Fans is cursed
- 32:54Speaker 2: and everyone who subscribes and watches her content.
- 32:57Speaker 3: You're he like a freaky freaking.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Through the fucking laptop and kill them what And then
- 33:07Speaker 2: there's just like there's just like this this epidemic of
- 33:10Speaker 2: like dudes who are who are murdered while they're jerky.
- 33:14Speaker 3: That's this genre. It's like a freaky a freaky whrror.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Just imagine there's like, oh my god, lady, there's there's
- 33:21Speaker 2: a mysterious epidemic of men being murdered while they have
- 33:24Speaker 2: their dick in their hand in their computer, and no
- 33:27Speaker 2: one knows who's doing it, but it's the girl. She's
- 33:29Speaker 2: climbing through the fucking screen. Wow, Tooby bruh, I think
- 33:35Speaker 2: we're going platinum on.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Tob It's on sube. How is she crawling out the screen?
- 33:39Speaker 2: No, No, it's it's in the movie. In the movie
- 33:41Speaker 2: We're gonna, We're gonna. Yeah, I'm in let's do this,
- 33:43Speaker 2: Let's do this. That's only friends. Man. You know, you
- 33:46Speaker 2: can learn a lot of good things on there. You
- 33:48Speaker 2: can learn how to cook and stuff. Yeah, golf swings.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Subscription subscription look like any you don't you just know
- 33:57Speaker 3: what's on there. Yeah.
- 33:58Speaker 2: No, there's ways to get all that stuff for free.
- 33:59Speaker 3: I forgured you know ble.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Reddit, Yeah, shout to the reddit. I have a friend
- 34:05Speaker 2: who sells pirated content on only fans on Reddit from
- 34:11Speaker 2: only fans, it's kind of fucked up. He's still in
- 34:13Speaker 2: he's still in this. Uh, he's stealing money from these creators.
- 34:16Speaker 2: You know you got a cool friend group shout out
- 34:18Speaker 2: to Cyrus. Okay, anyway, anything else you got coming up?
- 34:23Speaker 2: Obviously the song's out going crazy on You said it's
- 34:26Speaker 2: training on YouTube right now? Congratulations.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Yeah, let's let's see if it went up.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Hopefully an album's coming tone Uh huh.
- 34:36Speaker 3: I see, let's see what they talk about. Let's see
- 34:41Speaker 3: what they're talking about. Okay, we're still out.
- 34:44Speaker 2: For number four is big? Yeah. How much input do
- 34:49Speaker 2: you have on music videos?
- 34:50Speaker 1: Are you like all the implus super I'm very hands on, Yeah,
- 34:54Speaker 1: but I do like to bring in. One thing I
- 34:56Speaker 1: will say is our love learning from other directors. I
- 35:00Speaker 1: like to work with directors who I feel like would
- 35:02Speaker 1: bring not only bring my vision to life, but like
- 35:04Speaker 1: give me something else.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, I feel like the music video is becoming
- 35:09Speaker 2: like a lost art. Everybody's just shooting like these, like
- 35:12Speaker 2: your two thousand dollars World Star videos. But then when
- 35:16Speaker 2: a good video comes out you're like, oh shit, they
- 35:18Speaker 2: give a fuck, and then you know, yeah, like for you,
- 35:23Speaker 2: like do you are you super on top of your
- 35:26Speaker 2: budgets and shit with the label?
- 35:27Speaker 3: I mean, I have to be. It's my budget.
- 35:29Speaker 2: You know. Most people they don't give a fuck. They
- 35:32Speaker 2: turn into album, they get their advance, and they just
- 35:33Speaker 2: look the other way on everything. So then they end
- 35:35Speaker 2: up spending like three hundred grand on a video that
- 35:37Speaker 2: you know, probably they could have got done for like twenty. Well.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I like to know where all the money is going,
- 35:42Speaker 1: because if I don't need something on set, then I
- 35:44Speaker 1: almost subtract It's I could put that money somewhere else.
- 35:46Speaker 3: You know.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Oh so you're fucking you're on it. That's super legit.
- 35:51Speaker 2: I like that sweetish. She ain't playing around. Man, y'all
- 35:53Speaker 2: need artists need to take notes anything you any advice
- 35:55Speaker 2: you would give to upcoming artists who maybe are thinking
- 35:58Speaker 2: about signing or just sign like stuff to look out for.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I would just stay independent as long as possible, like,
- 36:05Speaker 1: really understand what you're signing. I wish I knew more
- 36:11Speaker 1: about like the independent route, but I don't. But I
- 36:15Speaker 1: think that we're at a time where we're curating and
- 36:19Speaker 1: where we have a direct of consumer contact with our fans.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And I think that if someone is properly set up,
- 36:29Speaker 1: they could kind of just be signed to themselves because
- 36:33Speaker 1: instead of having to like go through all these the red.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Tape, you just kind of give it straight to your.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Fans, giving it straight to your fans. And I feel
- 36:40Speaker 1: like that's what the newer generation is doing anyways.
- 36:42Speaker 2: And then and then your fans will tell you. Like
- 36:45Speaker 2: I always say, like that's the best way to go.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Is like people get super discouraged if they put a
- 36:50Speaker 2: song out and it doesn't do what they think it
- 36:52Speaker 2: should do, and then they overthink it and then they
- 36:54Speaker 2: take too long to drop. It's like, no, just put
- 36:56Speaker 2: another shot up and then put another shot up and
- 36:57Speaker 2: then put another shot up. Oh.
- 36:59Speaker 1: And then also I would recommend if you do decide
- 37:01Speaker 1: to sign to a label, I would say to really
- 37:04Speaker 1: figure out your brand, like your aesthetic, your brand, your
- 37:08Speaker 1: public messaging, because I just feel like there's a lack
- 37:12Speaker 1: of artist development these days, so it's really good to
- 37:15Speaker 1: just you know, wag out a little longer, really figure
- 37:18Speaker 1: out who you're trying to, like put yourself out there
- 37:21Speaker 1: and be. And then if you decide to, you know,
- 37:24Speaker 1: go to a record label. You can tell them who
- 37:26Speaker 1: you are instead of them trying to tell you.
- 37:28Speaker 2: What was the like origin of you kind of doing
- 37:33Speaker 2: the icy girl thing and like saying, okay, I got
- 37:35Speaker 2: my fan base, and this was like did they name themselves?
- 37:39Speaker 1: Honestly, they name themselves. I've always had my esthetic. I've
- 37:43Speaker 1: even when I was broke, I had the rich bitch esthetic.
- 37:46Speaker 1: You know, I'm always make some shit look good. But
- 37:49Speaker 1: when Icy Girl and Viral, my fans started calling themselves
- 37:52Speaker 1: icy girls and icy boys. So fortunately for me, when
- 37:55Speaker 1: I had went to get my record label deal, I
- 37:57Speaker 1: had already had a brand.
- 37:58Speaker 3: I had already had you know, sthetic.
- 38:00Speaker 2: You already had your kind of yea, yeah, because.
- 38:02Speaker 1: What sometimes like it's so unfortunate to see what these
- 38:05Speaker 1: baby artists who have that like viral, that viral song,
- 38:08Speaker 1: those sign but then no one knows what to do
- 38:11Speaker 1: with them. So then you see like a carbon copy
- 38:13Speaker 1: get get made men and women. So it's just always
- 38:15Speaker 1: good to know yourself.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Can straight men be icy boys?
- 38:20Speaker 3: Absolutely? You know where I got icy from? Where Gucci Maine?
- 38:25Speaker 1: Of course, I mean, because it's not so I say,
- 38:29Speaker 1: like that's one of my most favorite songs, like Ever.
- 38:33Speaker 2: And the Shout to GEZ that was like one of
- 38:36Speaker 2: j Z's early like solo moments.
- 38:39Speaker 3: And my uncle used to sing with them.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Your uncle used to sing with g Z and main
- 38:44Speaker 2: really like a rapper.
- 38:45Speaker 3: No sing R and B?
- 38:47Speaker 2: That's tight? Yeah, so you got the music in the fan?
- 38:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:51Speaker 2: Tight? Do you listen to? You think you listen to
- 38:53Speaker 2: more R and B or hip hop and you're a
- 38:54Speaker 2: spare time.
- 38:56Speaker 3: It really just depends on my vibe. Yeah.
- 38:59Speaker 2: I was just listening to a bunch of one twelve
- 39:00Speaker 2: on my road trip. I was like, fuck, man, I'm
- 39:02Speaker 2: his R and B groups. There's no more groups.
- 39:05Speaker 1: You think America will ever get back to ever having groups?
- 39:08Speaker 1: I feel like all the groups right now are all
- 39:10Speaker 1: international groups for sure.
- 39:12Speaker 2: I feel like, yeah, the K pop.
- 39:14Speaker 3: A European.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Well, yeah, all those K pop kids unfortunately are signed
- 39:19Speaker 2: up terrible deals. But I don't know. I think that
- 39:22Speaker 2: there's the music industry. I think it's hard to ask,
- 39:26Speaker 2: like someone to split the bread four ways. You know
- 39:30Speaker 2: what I'm saying. It's like, and I feel like most groups,
- 39:32Speaker 2: if we go back and think about all the groups,
- 39:35Speaker 2: there always was like the standout dude in the group.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So it was like, I feel like those guys are
- 39:40Speaker 2: just going solo from the rip now, like back in
- 39:42Speaker 2: the day you had like Cisco and Drew Hill, or
- 39:44Speaker 2: you had Slim in one twelve where you had the
- 39:47Speaker 2: Twins and Jagged Edge where you had Deonce Kelly Well
- 39:52Speaker 2: shots best shot fire, But I just I don't know.
- 39:56Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Man.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Like Wu Tang Klan had nine members. They had to
- 39:59Speaker 2: spend all their money nine ways. Can you imagine you
- 40:01Speaker 2: get in advance and it's broken up nine ways? Then
- 40:04Speaker 2: you gotta pay management. Fuck a group. But I miss
- 40:07Speaker 2: R and B groups.
- 40:08Speaker 3: So if you were to be would you be a
- 40:10Speaker 3: rapper or R and B artist?
- 40:12Speaker 2: Well, I don't have the ability to do either.
- 40:14Speaker 3: But it like you know, in a fantasy world.
- 40:18Speaker 2: In a fantasy world, I'd be like in like in
- 40:23Speaker 2: sync a Zinc, I'd be like, I mean, I feel
- 40:28Speaker 2: like I wouldn't fit in an R and B group.
- 40:29Speaker 2: They'd be like, who's this white dude in the R
- 40:32Speaker 2: and B. I'd be like, I don't want to be
- 40:33Speaker 2: the white the white dude, because this is the thing.
- 40:36Speaker 2: If you're a white guy in an R and B group,
- 40:38Speaker 2: they're gonna look at you as like, oh, that's the
- 40:40Speaker 2: white guy from so and so.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Right right, I'd rather just be you.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Know, the guy from in sync. Oh that's that's uh.
- 40:48Speaker 2: You know, No, I didn't. You just made me think
- 40:51Speaker 2: about it, okay, or like ninety eight degrees or back
- 40:55Speaker 2: I mean the Backstreet Boys guys shots of them, man,
- 40:58Speaker 2: I see that dude AJ everywhere. What about you? If
- 41:02Speaker 2: you had to be in a group.
- 41:03Speaker 1: In a group, rap group, I'd be in an R
- 41:08Speaker 1: and B group, R and B group.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Are you obviously or a rapper? But do you like
- 41:14Speaker 2: do you work a lot on singing as well?
- 41:17Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:17Speaker 1: I have a record coming out where I'm singing on
- 41:19Speaker 1: the course and every time I play it for people,
- 41:20Speaker 1: they think that it's like a feature.
- 41:22Speaker 3: They're like, who's on the hook, and I'm like, it's me.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Did you have to work on that? Yes, vocal lessons
- 41:28Speaker 2: and stuff.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I always say repetition in the studio, So yeah, I've
- 41:31Speaker 1: been like vocal lessons.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Was it hard for you to let people hear that?
- 41:36Speaker 3: Because I know because I was excited.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Were you like this is hard?
- 41:39Speaker 3: Yeah? Because I work my ass off to hit the notes.
- 41:42Speaker 2: So that's coming to Yeah and no features done fear
- 41:44Speaker 2: new music yet, I am are you sure about that?
- 41:49Speaker 2: All right? Would you do a collab project with anybody? Oh?
- 41:52Speaker 3: I would love to do that with who I have
- 41:58Speaker 3: to think about it.
- 41:58Speaker 2: You know the guy you did Birthday with. That'd be
- 42:00Speaker 2: a tight album.
- 42:01Speaker 3: If you if you guys did one for the West Side.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Yeah, for the West Coast.
- 42:04Speaker 3: I think the West Coast should do a compilation album period.
- 42:06Speaker 2: I mean you kind of did that kind of.
- 42:09Speaker 3: With pretty summer playlists.
- 42:11Speaker 2: I mean, look, you are like the West, the queen
- 42:13Speaker 2: of the West Coast.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I feel like I got to do like way more,
- 42:17Speaker 1: way more stuff though.
- 42:18Speaker 2: No I know, I know, but I'm saying, like, you know,
- 42:20Speaker 2: I feel like you claim the West. I know, Doja
- 42:22Speaker 2: Cats from from the Valley and she's obviously murdering it,
- 42:25Speaker 2: but I feel like you like bang that ship. You
- 42:28Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Like I have like two super like young parents who
- 42:32Speaker 1: were into the hip hop scene, so like all they
- 42:35Speaker 1: would play is like Tupac and just other West Coast
- 42:41Speaker 1: artists like Snoop Nwa that as as a little girl,
- 42:45Speaker 1: I have so much pride in being from like California,
- 42:47Speaker 1: right m m Yeah, no, for.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Sure, shouts at Cali. You actually grew up in Sack
- 42:53Speaker 2: like when you were like were your formative years.
- 42:55Speaker 1: It's have a funny because there'd be comments where it'd
- 42:57Speaker 1: be like, why sitty claim in the base you foml growth.
- 43:00Speaker 3: This is what happened. I mean if living in.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Elk Grove for like three three years is being from
- 43:05Speaker 1: Elk Grove and all right, but then people will be like,
- 43:07Speaker 1: she's not from Elk Grove because okay.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Where's Elk Grove? And I'm looking, Okay, there's the bay
- 43:12Speaker 2: stocked in Sack. Okay, where's el Elk Grove?
- 43:14Speaker 3: So Elk Grove is right before South Stack. Okay, uh huh.
- 43:18Speaker 3: So that's what happened.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I grew up all around the bay, like all around
- 43:22Speaker 1: the bay, primarily in Hayward, but I lived in San Jose,
- 43:26Speaker 1: I lived in Sunnyvale. I lived in Union City and Hayward.
- 43:31Speaker 1: And after my dad had left the Bay, I had
- 43:36Speaker 1: lived with my grandma for a little bit. So I
- 43:39Speaker 1: went to school in Tracy. I went to Tracy So
- 43:46Speaker 1: and that's why I knew about like when you was
- 43:48Speaker 1: like stocked in lowd So. I lived out there for
- 43:51Speaker 1: two years Stockton I lived in. No, I just know
- 43:55Speaker 1: that area because.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I stocked It's crazy.
- 44:00Speaker 1: I mean I played volleyball out there when we go travel,
- 44:02Speaker 1: But No, I wasn't like out there like that. So
- 44:05Speaker 1: I went from the Bay to like Tracy, and then
- 44:08Speaker 1: I had moved to South Sack. And then as soon
- 44:11Speaker 1: as I moved to South Sack, my stepmom and my
- 44:14Speaker 1: dad had relocated to Elk Grove.
- 44:16Speaker 3: So I've been like all around, like California.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Okay, where's the best food? La? Or the Bay?
- 44:27Speaker 1: You see, I've been in LA for a while. I've
- 44:31Speaker 1: been out here for like ten years. I haven't really
- 44:35Speaker 1: been back to the Bay like that because a lot
- 44:37Speaker 1: of my family moved out because of the prices. They
- 44:41Speaker 1: was like dentrifying it. So I really haven't had time
- 44:43Speaker 1: to go back and taste the food. So because I
- 44:47Speaker 1: haven't had a chance to do that, people.
