Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett.
• 0:04
Speaker 2: All right, well, the city is a buzz for Game
• 0:07
Speaker 2: two because the watch party is a buzz. I mean,
• 0:10
Speaker 2: the resale tickets are going for insane prices. I might
• 0:13
Speaker 2: end up in the Bronx just to watch with my
• 0:15
Speaker 2: Yankee friends, and then of course Billy's maybe gets to
• 0:18
Speaker 2: the fourth quarter there. But here's my play right now
• 0:22
Speaker 2: at one like up Alex Media. I've said it on
• 0:24
Speaker 2: my Instagram, I've said it on my Twitter or X
• 0:27
Speaker 2: whatever you wanna call it, mayor Mom, Donnie, you and
• 0:32
Speaker 2: now President Trump are sculated to attend. And it's beautiful
• 0:37
Speaker 2: that Garden of Dreams Foundation has helped underserved kids get
• 0:42
Speaker 2: into the Garden through free tickets.
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: That's awesome, that's amazing.
• 0:47
Speaker 2: And for everybody else that's clamoring for that ten ticket,
• 0:54
Speaker 2: I'm gonna say what I wrote on Instagram and on
• 0:56
Speaker 2: X on this podcast, why don't we make.
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: A deal.
• 1:03
Speaker 2: Why don't you make a deal Marrimum Donnie with the
• 1:07
Speaker 2: NBA and the Knicks and James Dolan to give us
• 1:12
Speaker 2: Maybe not fifty, because I understand that's a lot cheaper
• 1:15
Speaker 2: than it should be, but what about one hundred? What
• 1:18
  Speaker 2: about one fifty.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: What about something manageable for the every day New Yorker.
• 1:27
Speaker 2: The New York Knicks represent New York City, So why
• 1:31
Speaker 2: is New York City residents and why are New Yorkers
• 1:35
Speaker 2: being priced out of this? Ten thousand dollars is the
• 1:41
Speaker 2: cheapest right now, and if they go up to nothing,
• 1:44
Speaker 2: that's gonna increase to probably fifteen or more. So Maryrimum Donnie,
• 1:51
Speaker 2: my plea to you, and maybe President Trump should step
• 1:56
Speaker 2: in two since now he's going to the game, cut
• 2:00
Speaker 2: a deal so that everyday New Yorkers could join the fun.
• 2:06
Speaker 2: This is something we haven't experienced in twenty seven years.
• 2:10
Speaker 2: This is in something a lot of kids haven't experience
• 2:12
Speaker 2: in their lifetime. So to price us New Yorkers out,
• 2:21
Speaker 2: it just doesn't make sense. To price us New Yorkers
• 2:26
Speaker 2: out is wrong. And I know I've said it on
• 2:30
Speaker 2: x I know what I've said it on Instagram, but
• 2:32
Speaker 2: I want to say it here just in case, just
• 2:34
Speaker 2: in case they're thinking about this before the ticket release.
• 2:42
Speaker 2: Right now on tickpick and Vivid and elsewhere, it's over
• 2:46
Speaker 2: seven thousand dollars. It's ten thousand dollars one ticket. There's
• 2:52
Speaker 2: no reason that everyday New Yorkers shouldn't have a chance
• 2:57
Speaker 2: to see their nixt play. This fan base is outside
• 3:01
Speaker 2: the garden, not inside the garden. Okay, Ben Siller's there,
• 3:05
Speaker 2: Spike Lee's. They're representing New York fans and Timothy Schallamey.
• 3:08
Speaker 2: By the way, if Chalameay broke up with kay Kylie Jenner,
• 3:13
Speaker 2: does that mean the Jenner curse is officially removed from
• 3:15
Speaker 2: the Knicks. Is that what I'm hearing now? Is that
• 3:17
Speaker 2: what I'm thinking now? Is that what we're thinking now?
• 3:23
Speaker 2: But James Dolan, you say you're four New Yorkers. You
• 3:27
Speaker 2: want to be four New Yorkers. You're literally making the teams.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: A public offering. The Knicks arrangers are about.
• 3:34
Speaker 2: To be public entities that we the fan could buy stocking.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: And yet we can't go to the Garden the watch
• 3:44
Speaker 1: party tonight. Yes, ten dollars tickets are great. That that's fantastic.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: They sell out too fast. But but.
• 3:53
Speaker 2: My plea you're at Wellingo Alex Media to Mayor mum Donnie,
• 3:58
Speaker 2: to Governor Hokeel to President Trump is to work with
• 4:01
Speaker 2: the NBA. Adam Silver is thrilled that President Trump is
• 4:08
  Speaker 2: coming to.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: New York, But.
• 4:12
Speaker 2: Is he thrilled that every New Yorkers can't get into
• 4:14
Speaker 2: the garden. Maybe before tickets are released released for the
• 4:22
Speaker 2: public through ticket Master, because I don't believe they're on
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: sale yet.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: I could be wrong.
• 4:29
Speaker 2: Maybe before they are officially released. This plea to Mayor
• 4:38
Speaker 2: Mum Donnie, to President Trump, to Adam Silver is to
• 4:47
Speaker 2: make available a select number of tickets for US New Yorkers.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: I don't care if they queues fifty thousand people long
• 4:56
Speaker 2: for US New Yorkers.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: It should be the right thing to do.
• 5:05
Speaker 2: Espike Lee would say, do the right thing and open
• 5:08
Speaker 2: this finals up to New Yorkers, New York residents, New
• 5:15
Speaker 2: York City residents, not.
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: All corporate.
• 5:23
Speaker 2: The kids that are outside the garden, the fans that
• 5:25
Speaker 2: are outside the garden, they're hungry, they're hungry for a championship,
• 5:32
Speaker 2: So why not involve us too. There's eight million New Yorkers.
• 5:40
Speaker 2: There's no reason why there shouldn't be a raffle like
• 5:44
Speaker 2: there's for FIFA to get on that line and get
• 5:48
Speaker 2: one hundred dollars tickets, two hundred dollar tickets because World
• 5:55
Speaker 2: Cup's gonna be a major event. Those tickets are in
• 5:57
Speaker 2: the thousands too. What makes that different. What makes it different?
• 6:08
Speaker 2: And especially because the Knicks now lead, and they could
• 6:10
Speaker 2: lead after two tonight, two games tonight two, oh, come back.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: To the garden. Brunson is.
• 6:26
  Speaker 2: On fire.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: And I'll tell you what I texted friends this I
• 6:32
Speaker 1: said on May twentieth.
• 6:33
Speaker 2: I predicted the baseballer would be sacrificed, and sure enough,
• 6:59
Speaker 2: Aaron Judge is now down with the bone bruise he
• 7:03
Speaker 2: got running into another right field wall, this time at
• 7:07
Speaker 2: Yankee Stadium. I believe in May third is what I
• 7:14
Speaker 2: was hearing. He's out four to six weeks and now
• 7:22
Speaker 2: I'll be in time for the Knicks for the Yankees
• 7:25
Speaker 2: playoff run July August, September. But what if this sacrifice
• 7:34
Speaker 2: is is what the sports gods are balancing.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: This out for the Knicks to win a ring. Maybe
• 7:40
Speaker 1: this had to happen.
• 7:43
Speaker 2: I think back to when the Knicks had a huge
• 7:46
Speaker 2: win last playoffs, and that very night Oswalda Cabrera slid
• 7:50
Speaker 2: into sahom So painfully fracturing his ankle and his season
• 7:57
Speaker 2: was done. The same night, Knicks fans were you fork
• 8:00
Speaker 2: about a playoff win?
• 8:02
Speaker 1: That trauma is there.
• 8:05
Speaker 2: Well. A year later, with the Knicks three games away
• 8:09
Speaker 2: from winning the NBA Finals, Aaron Judge goes down for four.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: To six weeks. If that's not the sports gods evening
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: this out, I don't know what is. I don't know
• 8:21
Speaker 1: what is. But what I do know.
• 8:29
Speaker 2: Is that this series, this NBA Finals, is so expensive.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: A playment plan would it work?
• 8:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe for the MLB, but that that's different for
• 8:45
Speaker 2: this it doesn't work. It doesn't work. So once official
• 8:59
Speaker 2: take it's are released, what if there's a raffle or
• 9:04
Speaker 2: not even a raffle, but what if there's a sweepstakes.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: I don't know, limited time entry for people to get
• 9:16
Speaker 2: tickets to the finals.
• 9:20
Speaker 1: At a reasonable rate.
• 9:24
Speaker 2: Pricing us out makes no sense, especially because of the
• 9:28
Speaker 2: New York City fans are the lifeblood of this damn city.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Let me say that again, Pricing New York City fans.
• 9:37
Speaker 2: Out does not make sense when we are the lifeblood
• 9:41
Speaker 2: of New York City. Everyday New Yorkers run New York City.
• 9:49
Speaker 2: They open up the shops in the morning, they clean
• 9:53
Speaker 2: the subways, they run the subways, they run the buses.
• 9:56
Speaker 2: Those are the everyday New Yorkers. They're the commuters that
• 10:00
Speaker 2: roll all over the city and do what they need
• 10:01
Speaker 2: to do to get life going and get life things happening.
• 10:12
Speaker 2: But to be priced out of something that's literally unified
• 10:15
Speaker 2: Yankees and Mets fans and all kinds of sports fans
• 10:22
  Speaker 2: is bull crap.
• 10:27
Speaker 1: We should be unified together, and.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: Hell if the Yankee, if the Mets and the Garden
• 10:43
Speaker 2: can post up, congrats to and good luck to Saint
• 10:46
Speaker 2: John's Baseball, who's in the Super Regional this weekend against Alabama.
• 10:54
Speaker 2: There's no reason New York fans should be in that
• 10:56
Speaker 2: Garden shouldn't be in that garden.
• 11:00
Speaker 1: For Games three and four.
• 11:07
Speaker 2: Look, I, like everybody else, would love a sweep. I'd
• 11:11
Speaker 2: love a sweep, But I'd also love to get a
• 11:13
Speaker 2: picture of the Larry O'Brien logo trophy logo on the
• 11:18
Speaker 2: court and the NBA Finals on the Garden court.
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: And I'm afraid a watch.
• 11:26
Speaker 2: Party is the only way to do that, and to
• 11:28
Speaker 2: do that that also costs hundreds of dollars. But we
• 11:33
Speaker 2: shouldn't have to weep on a watch party to get
• 11:35
Speaker 2: in the garden. We the fans should be able to go.
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: Right now.
• 11:47
Speaker 2: Vividc's one hundred and thirty seven dollars.
• 11:49
Speaker 1: I saw the other day tickpic. Someone was offering one.
• 11:52
Speaker 2: Thousand dollars for game one watch party, Like, I get it.
• 12:00
Speaker 2: People that are literally profiting off this.
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: One forty.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: By the way, this is the on a screen. Okay,
• 12:10
Speaker 2: this is the on a screen. It's time to make
• 12:18
Speaker 2: it affordable. Dang it, Mayor, mum donnie, President Trump, you've
• 12:22
Speaker 2: been trying to collaborate on making everything affordable. You're trying
• 12:27
Speaker 2: to claim the victory on affordability. You want to claim
• 12:31
Speaker 2: the victory and affordability for all New Yorkers. You make
• 12:33
Speaker 2: the finals affordable. It makes sense, it's common sense. You
• 12:39
Speaker 2: both want to champion affordability, right, Well, then collaborate, work
• 12:44
Speaker 2: with the NBA, work with the governor, get a deal done,
• 12:47
Speaker 2: and make it affordable. Maum Donnie's about the everyday New
• 12:53
Speaker 2: Yorker supposedly, so he should fight for the everyday New
• 12:57
Speaker 2: Yorkers chance to get to the garden to watch an
• 13:01
Speaker 2: NBA Finals game. If affordability was his campaign promise, what
• 13:08
Speaker 2: an early way to live up to that promise that
• 13:12
Speaker 2: all New Yorkers could support making the NBA Finals, making
• 13:18
Speaker 2: the Knicks affordable again.
• 13:23
Speaker 1: And that's my message at one leg a Ballex Media
