- 2:02Speaker 2: let's go do the thing. It's a story you need
- 2:05Speaker 2: to hear to believe. Then grab your popcorn because there
- 2:09Speaker 2: is more. I usually don't combine, uh.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Uh I don't come on.
- 2:18Speaker 2: My metaphors is that that's not actually right, that's that's
- 2:21Speaker 2: certainly not how I was trying to say it. But
- 2:25Speaker 2: it's very very rare that I get to do two
- 2:27Speaker 2: things at once. But when in Rome, that's not it.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It's time now for another rousing edition of Jasmine crockett
- 2:45Speaker 1: masterpiece THEATA. When we last left the congress woman from Texas,
- 2:50Speaker 1: she was saying.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Something completely annoying and totally revolting, something so silly it
- 2:55Speaker 3: would make you say what is wrong with you? But
- 2:57Speaker 3: yet she keeps going because, as you know, Jasmine Crockett
- 3:01Speaker 3: has no filter and no mind at all. She is
- 3:06Speaker 3: on CNN talking about redistricting and why, well, whatever California does,
- 3:15Speaker 3: it's justified because Republicans are bad.
- 3:20Speaker 4: For some looking at California with the response may also
- 3:23Speaker 4: be the California it is cheating. People can say what
- 3:28Speaker 4: they want to say, but at the end of the day,
- 3:30Speaker 4: we are fighting for democracy.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So when Texas engages mid decade redistricting, it's a threat
- 3:37Speaker 2: to democracy. When California does it in an act of
- 3:41Speaker 2: pure retribution, it's fighting for democracy. She said that and
- 3:48Speaker 2: felt no shame. I'm gonna say it again to the
- 3:51Speaker 2: Republicans in Indiana, call the special session, let's talk about redistricting.
- 4:00Speaker 2: All of those members of the General Assembly are like, Oh,
- 4:02Speaker 2: we're not gonna do this. This is beneath us. You're wrong
- 4:05Speaker 2: and we need to discuss it. You have not fully
- 4:09Speaker 2: engaged the subject. Oh, I know the White House is
- 4:13Speaker 2: all about this, and you guys know that. Clearly the
- 4:16Speaker 2: word went forth, like in one day, all Republican members
- 4:20Speaker 2: of the House are like, oh, we support redistricting.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Did you see the statement from Senator Banks? Oh? God,
- 4:29Speaker 1: clearly coordinated. Clearly the word went forth.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But we should be honest about what we're up against
- 4:38Speaker 2: and what it is Democrats are doing. And look at
- 4:40Speaker 2: how Jasmine Crockett on behalf of all progressives and Democrats
- 4:45Speaker 2: are spinning it.
- 4:46Speaker 4: This is not something that California want us to do.
- 4:48Speaker 4: As you heard from the state senators in California, this
- 4:51Speaker 4: is something that they feel forced to do, something they
- 4:53Speaker 4: feel obligated to do, because in a democracy, you have
- 4:56Speaker 4: to answer for your policies or your lack thereof.
- 4:59Speaker 1: That is, the people of Texas get to decide.
- 5:02Speaker 2: The people of California do not get to decide for
- 5:05Speaker 2: the people of Texas. What you're saying is good. California
- 5:10Speaker 2: should be engaged in retribution. And what I'm telling Republicans
- 5:13Speaker 2: is let them drop, pull up the pants, and let's go.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's what they're doing. What are you doing? I would
- 5:22Speaker 1: have let Texas do this, not talked about it, moved
- 5:24Speaker 1: on with my day.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I wasn't interested in this when the subject first came up,
- 5:29Speaker 2: But now we're getting into retribution. If you are willing
- 5:33Speaker 2: to allow the progressives to engage this way, California trying
- 5:38Speaker 2: to punish Texas, or punish America, or punish Californians for
- 5:42Speaker 2: what Texas is doing, right, it wasn't on their minds,
- 5:45Speaker 2: As Jasmine Crockett said, If you're willing to allow that
- 5:48Speaker 2: to just happen, I think you're out of your skull
- 5:52Speaker 2: and stop talking to me about the property tax special session.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You're right. There is no property tax special session.
- 5:59Speaker 2: And that's and we, as Hoosier's, can vote people out again,
- 6:05Speaker 2: we're the ones who decide this rightfully, so, but a
- 6:11Speaker 2: special session should happen. I can't say that Republicans are
- 6:14Speaker 2: going to vote for the redistricting. I can't say that
- 6:17Speaker 2: they actually want it, but the special session should happen
- 6:21Speaker 2: so we can talk about it. And Governor Braun should
- 6:25Speaker 2: call the special session and stop telling me about cost.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Josh Kelly, chief of Staff, don't want to hear it.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Do not want to hear it. You guys sound crazy
- 6:35Speaker 2: when you say it. There's a much larger conversation at
- 6:40Speaker 2: play here, and you know it. Call the special session.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Let's talk about redistricting, because they are. They're doing it.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Retribution. What's your plan
