- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I was I was telling you how I was very confused on Saturday because we had found out our one neighbor that lives kitty corner to us, Lisa, her dog kind of ran out and got lost for a little while.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: And uh, but then I guess got found.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: And then I we're at the listener appreciation party and my door uh doorbell camera goes off, and it was, you know, a gentleman and it looked to be a young kid uh with him.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: And what spawned me to answer the doorbell camera was oh, well, maybe with the dogs barking, they didn't hear the doorbell.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: So I quickly jump on and I'm like, hey, can I help you with something?
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: And it's always an awkward feeling when uh I'm answering the doorbell camera because I feel like it's so impersonal.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Like it is, but you've took the time to come to my door.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you're holding a Bible, yeah, like I said, you know, I'd be like, hang on, Satan's coming out of my rectum.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: It's actually not that impersonal if you think about it, because either you're not there and they would get no answer.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: So at least they're getting some sort of answer.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: I that is a stretch of justification.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Either way, another dog went missing in the neighborhood.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: So this was two on Saturday.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: The good news is meatball was found on the country club.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, so that's good.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: We're we're happy and all that stuff.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: But I was sitting there, you know, and I'm like, we were debating the impersonalness of just hitting the answer button on the on on the camera.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Now I felt a little okay because I actually wasn't there, but at the same time, if I was sitting in my living room, I'm like, oh, I'm so lazy.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm not even getting up.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Unless there's something that I'm winning that I'm getting for as a gift.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: 2825.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Well, it's Pony Joey goes put in a ticket.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: All right, and you know what?
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna buy into this more.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: You're right.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: 1724, this is Alyssa, and she said it right.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: This is the problem with the crime documentaries.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: There are so many.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: It's all the crime documentaries for me.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: Too many people say, Oh, uh, here is a missing dog, and then one here it comes.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: This is where we go to the extreme, and then uh they bust in, and as soon as you open the door, and uh bad things happen.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: See, this this you gotta stop.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: You gotta pull yourself away.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: You're not, I'm not answering the door.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: We're not friends.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna do now.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: There there are a few neighbors that I am close with.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: If let's say my neighbor Diane, her little shih tzu went missing.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, I'm going to I'm gonna look through the neighborhood.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: But no, it's not worth me getting bludgeoned in my own living room.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, wow.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: I uh you guys are extreme with this.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: There's that.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Very extreme.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Alyssa, for bringing up the obvious.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Well, not so obvious.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: The cause to the problem.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Scott's opening up the door for everyone.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Well, yes.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, call me living crazy, but you know, that's the way I was raised.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: You you're polite.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: It is living crazy until you get murdered.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, not everyone's out to murder get nobody wants to kill you, Allie.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Okay?
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: Nobody.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Who wouldn't want to kill this?
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Who wouldn't want to kill them?
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Come on.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Nobody wants you dead.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Nobody wants to see what I look like with my mouth gaping open.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: No, we have enough pictures of you sitting at a bar or anywhere else on the planet where you fall asleep with your mouth hanging open.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: So we don't need to worry about that.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: All right, I'm gonna switch gears totally here.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna throw you guys a theoretical question, and you tell me if I'm nuts or if you're like, yeah, you know what?
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: For inclusion's sake, we're doing it.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Schools do it, so why can't we now?
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Uh, we're gonna start doing a pajama day uh at work starting next Friday.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Uh and now, men, for the guys, you you gotta wear some sort of a PJ.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Um it's okay if it's that long robe with the little hat, you know, like uh Ebenezer Scrooge would wear.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: But what you would be Because I sleep in my boxers, so I can't wear that to work for PJ, dude.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I would think what you would be wearing is like some Bill's sweatpants.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: See, I hate that because it's not really a it's not a pajama.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Kids have pajamas that they wear, and they, you know, when they go to school, I mean they, you know, Lydia has the checkered pants, you know, and the and the snowman on her uh shirt and stuff like that.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: So you would probably show up with, wouldn't you show up with like Bill's flannel pants?
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, but then a white t-shirt.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But I could also go to Walmart like that.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: And that's what I was I was hoping.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: Then that's just casual day.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: No, it has to be PJ day of some form.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Well, like last night I wore these black joggers to bed and an Ohio sweatshirt.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: Which you could also wear to Walmart.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: That's technically not PJs.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: But it is PJs because that's what I wore to bed.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Well, I know, but you're What do you want me to wear?
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: I want you to wear Friday just became real exciting.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: What exactly are you looking for me to be wearing?
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: I think 90.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: You want me to wear the the the satin set that you see on like every Christmas Zales commercial when I'm coming down the and I'm like, and I don't look like that because that woman's hair is brushed and mine's never.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Well, so so she comes.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Oh God, you just brought up another point.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: That could transition into nobody's put themselves together on Friday.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: And maybe this isn't a great idea.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: It's a terrible idea.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And and here it is this Folgers or Zales commercial is always I I I I pop up and I do a big yawn stretch stretch.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: And then I tee tee tee.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: I I'm tiptoeing, tiptoeing down the steps.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, and then there's there's the Labrador.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, good morning, Snuffles.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: This is not real life.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: So we can't do this, we can't do what the kids are doing.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: No, because what I wear to bed you sometimes want to live like a kid again.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: What I wear to bed has stains, also smells like it's three days old.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, God.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: So no, do not wear your pajamas because I don't need to smell your three-day old crotch.
