Transcript
- 0:00[UNKNOWN]: My family thinks I'm crazy, podcasts where I, your host, try to give you some tips on how you can explain all this weird, wild, crazy conspiracy stuff, the people you love most because that's what I've been trying to do for the past 10 years with no success.
- 0:41[UNKNOWN]: Now they don't want to listen.
- 0:42[UNKNOWN]: They don't want to hear it.
- 0:43[UNKNOWN]: They're just like, oh, here we go, Mark.
- 0:45[UNKNOWN]: Aw, again.
- 0:46[UNKNOWN]: It would be hard to be a Mark again.
- 0:48[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 0:49[UNKNOWN]: So, you know, that's the thing about old eyeglasses.
- 1:17[UNKNOWN]: we have like the north pole is like on a flatter it's like if you go towards and recall it's the magnetic north right so it's it's like the center right but that there's this ice wall but if you go a certain place north
- 1:34[UNKNOWN]: The real north, not the magnetic north, you will go into hyperborea, which is described like also in the book of Enoch, these four rivers that come from the central place, right?
- 1:45[UNKNOWN]: So a lot of flutters, there's a trying to say that Mount Meru is like at the north pole, and we just can't see it's energetic, but Mount Meru is like higher than the sun in the moon.
- 1:56[UNKNOWN]: You know what I mean?
- 1:58[UNKNOWN]: It's really big, and...
- 2:04[UNKNOWN]: You just heard today's guest who joins me, Mystic Mark here on the My Family Thinks of Crazy Podcast.
- 2:12[UNKNOWN]: Thank you for joining in and enjoy this conversation with Jason Demchak.
- 2:29[UNKNOWN]: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to my family.
- 2:32[UNKNOWN]: I think some crazy podcast.
- 2:33[UNKNOWN]: I'm your host, Nick Mark, and joining me today is a guest who is a phenomenonologist, who is a strategic consultant, a biographer, and an all-around great guy who was excited to be here and I'm excited to have him Jason's walking to the show, Jason Demtag, right?
- 2:56[UNKNOWN]: Yes, that's right.
- 2:56[UNKNOWN]: Thank you so much, man.
- 2:57[UNKNOWN]: It's really an honor to be here.
- 2:59[UNKNOWN]: I love your show.
- 3:00[UNKNOWN]: Listen to all your guests.
- 3:02[UNKNOWN]: So excited to be here and kind of give some of the Buddhist perspective that can, I think, tie together a lot of the major ideas that are in this, I guess, right?
- 3:14[UNKNOWN]: So how did you get into Buddhism and what's your main foreign to Buddhism?
- 3:20[UNKNOWN]: How do you practice?
- 3:23[UNKNOWN]: Good question, so, oh, thank you.
- 3:26[UNKNOWN]: You could say that, you know, when I saw a Buddhist statue when I was like eight years old at my Filipino neighbors house up in New York, I was just like instantly, you know, attracted to that sort of symbol of the Buddha and then later on watching these like bootleg kung fu boobies with the monks, the Shaolin monks, like, and I was just like, just so drawn to that, you know?
- 3:51[UNKNOWN]: And they say, you know, what you're drawn to is a sign of your past life.
- 3:54[UNKNOWN]: So that's how it kind of started and and just questioning, you know, questioning this whole reality and then taking a little LSD in high school got me super deep into the 60s and everything kept leading to Buddhism.
- 4:13[UNKNOWN]: Every everything in my life always led back to Buddhism.
- 4:17[UNKNOWN]: And I went to Japan for two years.
- 4:19[UNKNOWN]: I went to a university in Japan.
- 4:21[UNKNOWN]: I went to working there.
- 4:22[UNKNOWN]: But I didn't find like the Buddhist master I was looking for.
- 4:26[UNKNOWN]: And oh, my background was psychology, a major in psychology, it worked in research and got very discouraged with that.
- 4:33[UNKNOWN]: You know, I was like, I'm looking for like, I don't understand the mind.
- 4:36[UNKNOWN]: And as you know, it's a industry.
- 4:40[UNKNOWN]: So, um,
- 4:43[UNKNOWN]: So everything, you know, I did the corporate thing and everything, I just kept getting called to the Buddhist teaching and I dabbled in so many different things.
- 4:51[UNKNOWN]: But yeah, and then slowly I met one of my teachers who's a Westerner, but he's a great master.
- 5:01[UNKNOWN]: So I learned meditation and yoga from him for now over 20 years.
- 5:05[UNKNOWN]: But I started going to every time a llama was coming
- 5:12[UNKNOWN]: visiting New York, I would go and meet all these different llamas.
- 5:16[UNKNOWN]: And it was incredible.
- 5:17[UNKNOWN]: I have these private audiences with these very, you know, if you were in India or to that previously, be hard to have such an audience.
- 5:26[UNKNOWN]: And then finally, I met one teacher.
- 5:28[UNKNOWN]: His name is
- 5:34[UNKNOWN]: Within two weeks of meeting him, he's like, I came to America to meet some people to meet the right people.
- 5:40[UNKNOWN]: Like, I want you to come back and meet the Dalai Lama.
- 5:43[UNKNOWN]: Like, there's going to be this big celebration and the inauguration of his prayer hall, this giant prayer hall in South India.
- 5:51[UNKNOWN]: So I went to stay with him.
- 5:54[UNKNOWN]: And that's like how it kind of started.
- 5:56[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 6:03[UNKNOWN]: would start it and and what followed I mean so yes okay so basically you know at the time I was really into like I had read autobiography of a yogi so I was into astrology, Vedic astrology I was deep into all that stuff, Ayurveda,
- 6:22[UNKNOWN]: But I was also into the Tibetan Buddhist stuff.
- 6:25[UNKNOWN]: And when I went to India, and I was with these like, there's like a refugee city in South India, where many Tibetans came, they in the end government gave the Tibetan people this giant, like, well, that giant, it's like a city within a city.
- 6:41[UNKNOWN]: And it's all Tibetan, but inside that city, there's like this monastic complex, because
- 6:47[UNKNOWN]: Tibet used to be vast and there's monasteries all over the place, but when they came to this refugee city, all these different lineages had to get together and say, okay, we're going to build this monastic city.
- 7:00[UNKNOWN]: And when I saw that, I was just like, it felt like home.
- 7:03[UNKNOWN]: Like this, this is where I ran from.
- 7:07[UNKNOWN]: And yeah, and like, okay, finally, like, I feel like we're on the long here because growing up in America with the football and all that stuff, like none of it may essentially.
- 7:18[UNKNOWN]: So, so, yeah, so let's see, so I was gonna, I was just gonna hang out with these monks for a little bit.
- 7:23[UNKNOWN]: I was still planning to go to South India to study Ayurvedic massage and go deeper into that, but the teacher, the guest guest here allowed told me, like, if you come up to North India, I'll give you two special teachings.
- 7:37[UNKNOWN]: And, and again, the whole time I'm there, I'm being treated very special.
- 7:44[UNKNOWN]: Like, like, from the very time he met me,
- 7:47[UNKNOWN]: You know, come to India, like, and then every time he would introduce me to these high llamas, I got to speak to Beton, and, but everybody just treated me really special, and then he said, come up to North India, and I went up there with him and spent three months living with him at the, this is the first time I went to India.
- 8:07[UNKNOWN]: And I was expecting, you know,
- 8:13[UNKNOWN]: It was all the time trick teachings and bringing me like, and in fact, like, you know, I give it up my job, everything to come to India like to study with him and keep, we would just go get coffee.
- 8:26[UNKNOWN]: He's just like taking me like talking about all these different things and like, what are we going to learn Buddhism?
- 8:31[UNKNOWN]: And I was literally about to leave.
- 8:32[UNKNOWN]: I was like, I got to get out of here like, you know, this guy, this does not what he says he is.
- 8:36[UNKNOWN]: And then finally, he started,
- 8:39[UNKNOWN]: giving me teachings like but not in a traditional way.
- 8:43[UNKNOWN]: It wasn't until after I left, went back to the states that he gave me a curriculum to study.
- 8:51[UNKNOWN]: which is from the yellow plenia, so there's four main lineages, so this is the yellow plenia, they're very, they don't want you always see debating, like they have these huge debates, it's like a kung fu tournament, and there's all types of like belts and titles and hats and stuff, so that's the lineage that he,
- 9:12[UNKNOWN]: He basically won the tournament like out of like 10, 10, 15,000 get a loop of moments.
- 9:19[UNKNOWN]: He had to do a debate in front of like thousands of monks in the Dalai Lama.
- 9:24[UNKNOWN]: So he's like a very like recognized, you know, scholar.
- 9:30[UNKNOWN]: But he didn't teach me any of that, but when I was leaving, he gave me a curriculum which I went back and started studying.
- 9:37[UNKNOWN]: And amazingly, I picked it up like instantly.
- 9:40[UNKNOWN]: I would read the book, and as soon as I finished it, I had understood the whole thing.
- 9:44[UNKNOWN]: And people normally don't do that.
- 9:49[UNKNOWN]: Now, was this book, concepts as this book history?
- 9:54[UNKNOWN]: What did the book comprise of that he gave you?
- 9:57[UNKNOWN]: So it's basically, it's called the Geshe curriculum.
- 10:00[UNKNOWN]: Geshe is a title in the Gallup lineage.
- 10:04[UNKNOWN]: It means different things, but in this lineage, it's a 20-year curriculum, okay?
- 10:09[UNKNOWN]: And it's five main topics.
- 10:12[UNKNOWN]: So the first topic is a cosmology, right?
- 10:16[UNKNOWN]: So how do we know what we know?
- 10:19[UNKNOWN]: So this is the reason why this is the first topic is because first you have to understand how you're going to know something before you investigate reality.
- 10:30[UNKNOWN]: Because that's what the whole Buddhist project is.
- 10:33[UNKNOWN]: Like we are investigating reality.
- 10:35[UNKNOWN]: And at the deepest level, you have a self.
- 10:38[UNKNOWN]: And then you have the self of phenomena we call it, or just,
- 10:42[UNKNOWN]: just phenomena, what is the nature of reality itself.
- 10:46[UNKNOWN]: So before you do that, you need the tools.
- 10:48[UNKNOWN]: So the tools are the epistemological tools.
- 10:53[UNKNOWN]: And then that involves logic.
- 10:58[UNKNOWN]: So we can get into that.
- 10:59[UNKNOWN]: The second topic is,
- 11:04[UNKNOWN]: um, what's called the, the progenyparameta.
- 11:07[UNKNOWN]: So this is like the whole Buddhist path laid out.
- 11:10[UNKNOWN]: This is the five-year course and it covers everything and that's what's really unique about the Buddhist teaching is it is a path.
- 11:18[UNKNOWN]: It's like the Buddha said, he gave many metaphors for this, but you take a raft across the river.
- 11:24[UNKNOWN]: Once you get to the other side, you don't want to carry the raft anymore, right?
- 11:27[UNKNOWN]: So you need to eventually, like you need to Buddhism is a cure for suffering, but you need to eventually have a cure for Buddhism, like it's not meant to be clung to, right?
- 11:38[UNKNOWN]: So the Project of Parameta is this very detailed path
- 11:44[UNKNOWN]: And the cool thing about is you can check with yourself and your teachers, where you are on this path and the path is like billions of lifetimes it takes, but you can get a sense of where you are, but you can speed that up with the tonal tricktations.
- 11:58[UNKNOWN]: So the second topic is the path.
- 12:03[UNKNOWN]: Then you get into what's called the Madhyamica, which is the middle way philosophy.
- 12:08[UNKNOWN]: And this is the most interesting part that.
- 12:13[UNKNOWN]: The whole, again, really when you get to the core of the teachings, it's, we have so many preconceived ideas about reality.
- 12:23[UNKNOWN]: And we don't realize we have them.
- 12:25[UNKNOWN]: We walk around thinking that we're being objective and I'm just seeing things how they are.
- 12:30[UNKNOWN]: But in a millionth of a second, we are projecting so many things on to reality.
- 12:37[UNKNOWN]: In fact, actually shaping reality, we're going to get into that, that's my more, that's the deeper esoteric stuff.
- 12:43[UNKNOWN]: But basically, what the Majamica teaches is,
- 12:51[UNKNOWN]: is a whole series of contemplations starting from here.
- 12:55[UNKNOWN]: And then you have to check to see if this is true or not.
- 13:01[UNKNOWN]: And then negate it so you could move on to the next subtle level of a view.
- 13:08[UNKNOWN]: So for example,
- 13:12[UNKNOWN]: The first thing you learn is impermanence.
- 13:14[UNKNOWN]: The first, like, the first entry contemplation is like impermanence.
- 13:19[UNKNOWN]: You could say suffering, but let's just have it in impermanence, right?
- 13:22[UNKNOWN]: And
- 13:24[UNKNOWN]: What the whole concept is, we see things as things.
- 13:30[UNKNOWN]: We think there's a world of thing.
- 13:31[UNKNOWN]: There's Mark, and I heard Mark on his podcast last week, and it's the same Mark.
- 13:37[UNKNOWN]: But in reality, everything is constantly changing.
- 13:41[UNKNOWN]: And every present moment, there's a new arising of Mark.
- 13:45[UNKNOWN]: And,
- 13:46[UNKNOWN]: It's last for a moment and then it ceases and then the next, you know, we have photons coming in and out of us like we're everything is constantly in flux.
- 13:55[UNKNOWN]: So again, why do we spend so many times?
- 13:58[UNKNOWN]: Why do the monks debate this four hours a day five hours a day for like 20 years?
- 14:03[UNKNOWN]: Because.
- 14:05[UNKNOWN]: The benefit of this is tremendous.
- 14:08[UNKNOWN]: When you stop seeing things as things and start to see everything as a process, we don't say I have a self.
- 14:17[UNKNOWN]: It's a self-ing, because every moment you're re-projecting that self.
- 14:23[UNKNOWN]: So the idea is training yourself to start, so when you see things as,
- 14:33[UNKNOWN]: as impermanent, as processes, that means everything you can change.
- 14:39[UNKNOWN]: So husband and wife, they're not seeing the actual person in front of them.
- 14:45[UNKNOWN]: They're seeing that through all of their stories and you'll see couples just get locked into these thing and they've just, they haven't seen their husband and wife in 20 years, you know?
- 14:55[UNKNOWN]: Like, and where this allows you this impermanence, it's the first step.
- 15:03[UNKNOWN]: The whole thing is impermanence is the nature of how things are.
- 15:08[UNKNOWN]: It's we apply permanence to things that are not permanent.
- 15:12[UNKNOWN]: So these processes, so keep in mind, if I can say this, like there's three trainings, we call them, the three trainings of the path.
- 15:25[UNKNOWN]: The first one is ethics.
- 15:28[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 15:28[UNKNOWN]: So this is very similar to the 10 commandments.
- 15:32[UNKNOWN]: Don't steal, don't kill, but it's not a commandment.
- 15:35[UNKNOWN]: It's like, if you do this, you will be harmed.
- 15:38[UNKNOWN]: If you lie, you have to keep that lie going.
- 15:42[UNKNOWN]: You know, so the, so the ethics is is like that.
- 15:46[UNKNOWN]: It's like training training your behavior.
- 15:50[UNKNOWN]: And the Buddha gives guidance, I haven't do that.
- 15:54[UNKNOWN]: But every time the Buddha teaches, it's never do this.
- 15:57[UNKNOWN]: It's always, try this out, see if it works.
- 16:00[UNKNOWN]: If it doesn't work, reject it.
- 16:01[UNKNOWN]: That's a famous saying, test everything, like a goldsmith, test gold.
- 16:07[UNKNOWN]: If there's value there, keep it, if not, reject it.
- 16:11[UNKNOWN]: So what was I saying?
- 16:21[UNKNOWN]: Oh, the the impermanence I was talking about the like right right.
- 16:25[UNKNOWN]: So so so that's like the first that's like the first level of of starting to get rid of these these preconceived ideas we have which freeze us up.
- 16:41[UNKNOWN]: Is that you're following so far, it makes sense.
- 16:43[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 16:43[UNKNOWN]: No, absolutely.
- 16:44[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 16:45[UNKNOWN]: You're the best.
- 16:45[UNKNOWN]: I know you're showing your such a good listen.
- 16:47[UNKNOWN]: That's why I'm so excited about this because
- 16:50[UNKNOWN]: I don't have to let try to brush everything in like I'm used to talking, but yeah, so so then in permanent.
- 16:57[UNKNOWN]: So again, like youth, like even example like you like the Buddha loves this example of seeds and sprouts you plant the seed in the ground.
- 17:05[UNKNOWN]: And we say that's a seed and now it becomes a sprout.
- 17:08[UNKNOWN]: But if you really think about it, there's like gazillions of micro moments between the seed and the sprout.
- 17:14[UNKNOWN]: We label it as sprout and we say that's a sprout.
- 17:17[UNKNOWN]: But of course, it's a sprout.
- 17:18[UNKNOWN]: And language is what locks this into place.
- 17:22[UNKNOWN]: So our brains are wired for language and logic.
- 17:28[UNKNOWN]: They go together.
- 17:30[UNKNOWN]: But so this is a gift, but it's also how we get trapped.
- 17:36[UNKNOWN]: So the idea is like the seed at no point is it really a seed.
- 17:42[UNKNOWN]: It's really just process, right?
- 17:44[UNKNOWN]: Like a seed came from a tree.
- 17:47[UNKNOWN]: And if you just look at it from that point of view, it's just that things coming together, things changing, and then everything is like that.
- 17:56[UNKNOWN]: But including your mind, every, your mind will also changing moment by moment.
- 18:03[UNKNOWN]: But then to go deeper into what's called, sometimes translate is emptiness and Sanskrit is Shinyata.
- 18:11[UNKNOWN]: And this is one of the most misunderstood concepts.
- 18:15[UNKNOWN]: So it doesn't mean nothingness, right?
- 18:18[UNKNOWN]: Like, sometimes translated as openness.
- 18:22[UNKNOWN]: But, and this is a deep concept,
- 18:25[UNKNOWN]: I'll just introduce it like this.
- 18:26[UNKNOWN]: We think of it, like going back to the seed.
- 18:29[UNKNOWN]: We think the seed causes the spread.
- 18:32[UNKNOWN]: We already established it's a process, but it still seems like there's a process.
- 18:36[UNKNOWN]: When you go deeper, when you get into emptiness, you realize, you investigate the fact that the seed is just information, right?
- 18:46[UNKNOWN]: The seed pulls minerals in water and sunlight, and that comes together
- 18:54[UNKNOWN]: By the time you have a tree, the whole tree is made up of the minerals that come from inside the earth.
- 19:01[UNKNOWN]: So, emptiness just means that nothing has independent existence.
- 19:08[UNKNOWN]: Therefore, everything has dependent existence.
- 19:12[UNKNOWN]: And I'm sorry, let me go back.
- 19:13[UNKNOWN]: I meant to say that when you're investigating impermanence, you learn to see everything as a rising.
- 19:24[UNKNOWN]: And I wanted to talk about the video game, a lot of people talk about the simulation.
- 19:35[UNKNOWN]: And that's all straight out of what the Buddha taught.
- 19:37[UNKNOWN]: The Buddha clearly taught that.
- 19:38[UNKNOWN]: But he obviously didn't teach that verb in a robot.
- 19:42[UNKNOWN]: Like we're in a computer sense.
- 19:43[UNKNOWN]: That's not what it's meant.
- 19:44[UNKNOWN]: But so the idea is,
- 19:52[UNKNOWN]: Because everything is like that tree, everything's coming together, everything is connected, everything is interdependently arising.
- 20:08[UNKNOWN]: So again, this is just to further and further break down this idea of a solid sense of a self.
- 20:17[UNKNOWN]: However, that's not the end where most people think that's the end.
- 20:21[UNKNOWN]: I'm sorry, one other thing that's important is something called Bodhi Chitta, which you might have heard of, which is this idea that you're cultivating, not just this understanding, you're not just meditating, contemplating emptiness,
- 20:37[UNKNOWN]: You're also expanding your heart to encompass all beings.
- 20:42[UNKNOWN]: So we have a tendency to focus on self and other.
- 20:47[UNKNOWN]: And that's really the fundamental problem of it all.
- 20:51[UNKNOWN]: And
- 20:52[UNKNOWN]: bodhicitta is this idea that if I wish to benefit all beings, that includes me.
- 20:59[UNKNOWN]: So instead of focusing on me and instead of, you know, I got to sacrifice everything for others.
- 21:06[UNKNOWN]: If you think of it like the whole system, just like in the body, this goes back to the emptiness.
- 21:12[UNKNOWN]: It's like
- 21:18[UNKNOWN]: like an organ.
- 21:19[UNKNOWN]: But then there's like people get into herbalism and they're still treating it allopathically.
- 21:24[UNKNOWN]: They're still like, oh, let me take this herb for this.
- 21:26[UNKNOWN]: But anything that benefits your kidney benefits everything else, everything that benefits your heart benefits your liver.
- 21:33[UNKNOWN]: Everything because it's a system.
- 21:36[UNKNOWN]: So that's the idea of interdependence.
- 21:38[UNKNOWN]: So, but if you take that to the human scale, to the sentient being scale, it's the same idea.
- 21:46[UNKNOWN]: So if I benefit, if I work on, like I'm trying to remove all my excavations and discover emptiness, and if I continuously think and
- 22:12[UNKNOWN]: They're giving me the practice.
- 22:14[UNKNOWN]: These difficult human beings, like instead of taking the monk path, the bodhi chitta is the bhahyana path you might have heard of, and that is not, like you're not recommended to be a monk on that path.
- 22:29[UNKNOWN]: In fact, it's almost considered more advanced to put yourself in these difficult situations and use that as the fuel to accelerate your Buddhist path.
- 22:41[UNKNOWN]: you have like what's called like the the hitting on a path the my hand a path and then there's the voucher on it which is like the time trip path and that's.
- 22:49[UNKNOWN]: So yeah, I've been talking a lot.
- 22:54[UNKNOWN]: You're so good.
- 22:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 22:58[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, I'm
- 23:03[UNKNOWN]: In the notes, you sent over all concepts that you wanted to cover and that seems to be what you just started getting into there.
- 23:18[UNKNOWN]: I mean, as far as the notes that you have, this kind of remind, I mean, I guess what you're saying is kind of like what you have here, we mistake processes for things, right?
- 23:30[UNKNOWN]: Like it's not the seed or the sprout, or the tree, it's the entire lifespan of the energy that is all those things over time.
- 23:45[UNKNOWN]: Exactly.
- 23:46[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, yeah, and you got to know if you wanted to continue going, I just I just wanted to say that you know so when you so so you can see that it's like this process of negation it's like apophatic thinking you're looking for it's very platonic you know you're looking at the self at the mind at the body and you're and like like the body is a great example you we look at people and you say my body my body
- 24:18[UNKNOWN]: it's a system and training yourself to see these processes and systems.
- 24:23[UNKNOWN]: So when you, but then you get to this idea of what's called the Buddha Nature.
- 24:30[UNKNOWN]: So when you eliminate everything that's not there, what is left over?
- 24:36[UNKNOWN]: And this is a huge debate that's been going on for 2,000 years, but it's a lot of fun.
- 24:42[UNKNOWN]: And again, ultimately all of this,
- 24:46[UNKNOWN]: The Buddhist path is a path for each individual.
- 24:49[UNKNOWN]: It's not a religion.
- 24:50[UNKNOWN]: It's for everybody to have tools to get to the best version of themselves, which in Buddhist, to become a Buddha, is incredible, like picture all the Marvel superheroes put together, and that in a Buddha's like beyond that, it's pretty, that's how big we really are.
- 25:12[UNKNOWN]: And the suffering and all that can be understood when you shift certain things.
- 25:23[UNKNOWN]: And so like the Buddha nature is this idea.
- 25:27[UNKNOWN]: It's not like the idea of a soul.
- 25:29[UNKNOWN]: Like when you say soul again, the Buddha is very careful to not,
- 25:35[UNKNOWN]: to eliminate this idea of things.
- 25:38[UNKNOWN]: So, but then we started hearing about this but in nature that we all have and it's permanent and it's, you know, so what's that all about?
- 25:46[UNKNOWN]: But it's more, it's not a thing in any sense of the thing that we have and it's more that we are part of the process and we could never be separated from it because that's our nature.
- 26:04[UNKNOWN]: So any suffering we have, all of the suffering.
- 26:08[UNKNOWN]: And we all though, there is tremendous capacity for suffering.
- 26:11[UNKNOWN]: And the Buddha is getting to the hell realms and the ghost realms.
- 26:14[UNKNOWN]: And there's even the god realms where we can get into it, you know, like in hypoboria, like beyond the ice wall, like that's all the Buddha talk to all about that as well, like everything.
- 26:24[UNKNOWN]: But even those being in Mount Meru, being in these heavens,
- 26:30[UNKNOWN]: The best place to be is right here in Kali Yuga, in this place, because if you have a two good, you won't be motivated to question reality.
- 26:45[UNKNOWN]: And if you have a two bad, you won't have the freedom to question reality, even in this human realm.
- 26:53[UNKNOWN]: not everybody has the freedom.
- 26:55[UNKNOWN]: That's why there's like the 18 freedoms, which again, there's a whole bunch of lists of things that goes into the Buddhist practice, but today I just wanna try to introduce these ideas because I hear so many people misrepresenting the Buddhist teachings, you know?
- 27:13[UNKNOWN]: So thank you for being patient with me like this is like I've been I've been working up to this like you know I I didn't tell you my whole story, but I did go back to India after passing my examinations became official teacher and some of the highest Lama's told me like go home and teach you know back to America like and I've been that was like 13 years ago and
- 27:40[UNKNOWN]: I mean, you know, it's challenging here in America.
- 27:42[UNKNOWN]: There's so much preconceived ideas, you know?
- 27:45[UNKNOWN]: Everybody thinks that they've registered or if they think they know Buddhism, but the Buddhist literature even before got to Tibet is more than all the religious literature and the role put together.
- 27:58[UNKNOWN]: Like there is libraries and libraries of commentaries of commentaries and, you know,
- 28:07[UNKNOWN]: And there's something for everybody because there is, like I said, like there is a tantric approach and there's different is different and and I've studied all of it like the poly the Chinese the Zen to me like it's all as long as it is contains the core idea of emptiness and bodi chitta.
- 28:27[UNKNOWN]: That's like the philosopher's steric stone.
- 28:30[UNKNOWN]: Anything, any culture, like we're in American culture, you know, we talk people talking about simulations and AI.
- 28:37[UNKNOWN]: This is the perfect milieu to talk about it because this is everything that we're going to talk about.
- 28:49[UNKNOWN]: It's interesting.
- 28:50[UNKNOWN]: Don't get me wrong.
- 28:51[UNKNOWN]: I feel like there's a lot of ground to cover, you know, so it's hard to know, you know, where to start and also, I don't want to reiterate if it has been, you know, talked about on the show because we've talked about Buddhism, but considering you listen to the show, is there anything that you've heard talked about that you wanted to,
- 29:12[UNKNOWN]: to set the record grade or just your thoughts on it and what in particular was there anything you heard that inspired you to say that?
- 29:25[UNKNOWN]: Sure, sure.
- 29:26[UNKNOWN]: Well, you know what, like thank you and I'll just I'll just go and go into like, which you could say is like my worldview.
- 29:33[UNKNOWN]: Like after doing all of this, I'll start at the high level and then we could kind of work down to the time trick level, but
- 29:42[UNKNOWN]: Basically, what I was describing up until now is called sutra Buddhism, or called the causal vehicle.
- 29:51[UNKNOWN]: Like you are meditating hard, you are training, you are contemplating emptiness in order to achieve, to move along this path, to achieve the bodhisattva, this ten levels and then eventually Buddhahood.
- 30:10[UNKNOWN]: The Tantric Path is called the Result in Path, or Vodriana, meaning like I said, you already part of the process.
- 30:18[UNKNOWN]: If your nature was not the Buddha nature, you couldn't become it because the nature can't change.
- 30:25[UNKNOWN]: So therefore this vehicle, or the Tantric Path is, or vehicle, is about, you have
- 30:36[UNKNOWN]: But every moment, you're messing that up by not seeing it, by not feeling it, by not tasting it, by not touching it.
- 30:45[UNKNOWN]: So it's how do we bring this Buddhahood in?
- 30:48[UNKNOWN]: And at the highest level, we got something called zochen.
- 30:53[UNKNOWN]: Have you have your hood of zochen or Mahamudra?
- 30:57[UNKNOWN]: It sounds familiar, but please explain.
- 31:00[UNKNOWN]: Again, this is, so this is like the highest
- 31:08[UNKNOWN]: Again, it's really like a path of a practice of no practice, but it's the idea of every moment like the ground you could say maybe like in the mode add it's if you want to compare it to Western philosophy.
- 31:31[UNKNOWN]: arises, there is this process that arises, that leads up to every one of us in this moment.
- 31:40[UNKNOWN]: And if you recognize it, it's like it's no different between a sentient being, a regular being, and a Buddha.
- 31:48[UNKNOWN]: The difference is the Buddha catches it and other people can't catch it.
- 31:58[UNKNOWN]: So what the implications of this are though is that this monad comes up and what appears as the external world and what appears as a mind inside
- 32:22[UNKNOWN]: It could explain why some people are convinced to Earth is round and some people think it's flat.
- 32:28[UNKNOWN]: And my favorite, Sandra Feliz, like Discovery of Snake Eyes, like that movie Snake Eyes, how Charlie Kirk.
- 32:37[UNKNOWN]: how the movie, which came out like 20 years before, can have like a dining Charlie Kirkland, the date September 10 flashed on the screen, Tyler, the is not, so you know what's all the game about it?
- 32:52[UNKNOWN]: Okay, can we just go, this is where I wanted to start?
- 32:56[UNKNOWN]: So let's just take that, let's take that right there.
- 33:00[UNKNOWN]: There's three ways to look at how that could happen.
- 33:03[UNKNOWN]: I mean, and just so the audience knows, I'm sure most of them know.
- 33:06[UNKNOWN]: This movie Snake Guys, which is a terrible movie, which came out like when I was in a nice close-up thing.
- 33:12[UNKNOWN]: And in that movie, there's a scene where a guy named Charlie Kirkland, a political guy, gets shot in the neck at a public space at the exact same date.
- 33:27[UNKNOWN]: And there's even more.
- 33:29[UNKNOWN]: I can't even get this one.
- 33:33[UNKNOWN]: And then recently, the big story, Lindsey Clancy.
- 33:38[UNKNOWN]: I don't know if you saw this, like someone in Ireland, a woman in Ireland who's also a nurse, a pediatric nurse, kills her three kids who have the same first initials on the same day.
- 33:51[UNKNOWN]: Did you see that one?
- 33:53[UNKNOWN]: Okay, I'll just send you that clip.
- 33:55[UNKNOWN]: So there's three ways to look at that.
- 33:57[UNKNOWN]: Like one, it's a complete coincidence, which would be insane, right?
- 34:01[UNKNOWN]: Like Charles Kirkland, I mean, like the probability would be, but of course, you know, a lot of people listening to this and a lot of people over the internet and the bots are like, they set this up.
- 34:16[UNKNOWN]: Like these free-mation illuminatly Zionists, they plan this whole thing to shoot him on the exact same day,
- 34:25[UNKNOWN]: But to think about how hard that would be to do, like you, to get like a seven year old Charlie Kirk, like, you know, so the third possibility is that we are in a multiplayer video game that renders each moment a note.
- 34:48[UNKNOWN]: And that's very close to what these, that's basically what the zoo chain teachings
- 34:58[UNKNOWN]: And that changes everything, because again, in the Buddhist concept, changing your view, changes your thoughts, which changes your words, which change your actions, which change your life.
- 35:09[UNKNOWN]: So that's why it's so important.
- 35:13[UNKNOWN]: I'm going to hit that.
- 35:15[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, well, no, repeating it wouldn't do anything.
- 35:18[UNKNOWN]: Explain what you mean by that because I feel like you're inferring too much there.
- 35:23[UNKNOWN]: I mean, maybe somebody who's also, you know, well acquainted with Buddhism would already understand what you mean, but I don't get what you're saying.
- 35:33[UNKNOWN]: So you're saying multiplayer video game, why there would be a movie that resembles something
- 35:45[UNKNOWN]: Okay, and you're familiar with the Mandela effect obviously, right?
- 35:49[UNKNOWN]: So seemingly insignificant things like mirror mirror on the wall become magic mirror on the wall, right?
- 35:57[UNKNOWN]: And obviously, I don't know you had the guest I can't remember his name.
- 36:00[UNKNOWN]: I think it's understanding conspiracy.
- 36:03[UNKNOWN]: The Bible has changed like like Jesus said, like bring this man before me and like let's kill him.
- 36:09[UNKNOWN]: Like things that like they don't send this.
- 36:15[UNKNOWN]: I like it.
- 36:16[UNKNOWN]: I watch this channel.
- 36:17[UNKNOWN]: But so, so, okay, let's look at from another angle real quick.
- 36:24[UNKNOWN]: So about a hundred years ago, these brilliant minds, these quantum physicists, like my favorite David Bowen, they all came to the conclusion that
- 36:40[UNKNOWN]: All matter has to be derivative of mind.
- 36:45[UNKNOWN]: They called it the mind of God.
- 36:47[UNKNOWN]: So these are the top physicists doing hard.
- 36:51[UNKNOWN]: They did not expect to find this.
- 36:53[UNKNOWN]: They were actually hoping not to find this, but by the end of their life, they were all converted into realizing that there is no outside world.
- 37:02[UNKNOWN]: There's no outside world that can be separate from consciousness.
- 37:10[UNKNOWN]: So, and then because of the materialistic paradigm we're in, which is the Paul Caliuga, which we can talk about that too, the prevailing, what has been taken away from that quantum
- 37:35[UNKNOWN]: you know, separating us from what we are.
- 37:38[UNKNOWN]: And again, I'm not proposing a vein because it's simply an algorithm.
- 37:44[UNKNOWN]: It's simply a process.
- 37:47[UNKNOWN]: Does that make a little sense?
- 37:55[UNKNOWN]: I know I haven't finished connecting the whole thing, but just want me to connect the whole thing before you ask me if it makes sense because I'm so waiting for the part where snake guys and Charlie Kirk makes sense with that food is framework because that's what you've got to lose.
- 38:12[UNKNOWN]: Absolutely absolutely.
- 38:13[UNKNOWN]: So the idea is that.
- 38:16[UNKNOWN]: what what these quantum physicists discovered is their expectation of what was going to happen affected actual how the photon acted their expectation and they even did experiments where I don't even know how they do this where they were able to look back in time and then looking at it change you know it became a particle or a wave
- 38:43[UNKNOWN]: that that's lit experiment.
- 38:46[UNKNOWN]: So they understood that that what is that mean, right?
- 38:52[UNKNOWN]: So let me see.
- 38:57[UNKNOWN]: So what I'm trying to get at is like
- 39:03[UNKNOWN]: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in to this interview with our guest today, Jason Demtchock.
- 39:10[UNKNOWN]: We're going to take a quick break to thank all of the amazing people who support this show via Patreon at patreon.com-mftic.

- 39:25[UNKNOWN]: Every episode is ad-free on the Patreon.
- 39:28[UNKNOWN]: We even put out bonus episodes there, like the one I just did with Thomas aka Paranoid American about his very strange flybrain simulation.
- 39:39[UNKNOWN]: I mean, it's mind-boggling.
- 39:41[UNKNOWN]: What he's doing with this AI flybrain.
- 39:46[UNKNOWN]: So
- 39:47[UNKNOWN]: You want to check that out, go to the patreon.com slash mftic, or my family thinks I'm crazy.substack.com.

- 40:09[UNKNOWN]: It's an adaptive gen. You find a cheap version of it in a lot of supplements these days.
- 40:15[UNKNOWN]: But this stuff is so good.
- 40:16[UNKNOWN]: You want to get it straight from the source.
- 40:18[UNKNOWN]: You want the raw Chilajit.
- 40:20[UNKNOWN]: This is Scalor Energy Maximized She-Ligit.

- 40:34[UNKNOWN]: This is premium stuff, so use that promo code crazy at checkout.
- 40:38[UNKNOWN]: Alright, I'll skip back to this episode.
- 40:41[UNKNOWN]: Right after a quick ad break, remember patreon.com slash MFTIC, every episode ad free.
- 41:07[UNKNOWN]: like, like, like, like, like, like, don't, like, don't, don't you find it, like, interesting that have all these debates right now, right?
- 41:18[UNKNOWN]: And the way we do debates is, I have some recommendations based on the Tibetan book, like, the Buddhist style of debate.
- 41:25[UNKNOWN]: It would be more productive, but do you notice that these debates go nowhere?
- 41:30[UNKNOWN]: And I've seen the top flutter there and the top is, and I'm like, okay, and the same thing with nutrition.
- 41:38[UNKNOWN]: It's like, why is it so hard to get to the truth, right?
- 41:43[UNKNOWN]: And what I'm proposing is that how you perceive things to be is going to influence how they are in your personal part of the video game.
- 41:56[UNKNOWN]: and but but it's a multiplayer video game so so for example these there's people who think everything is the Zionist it's kind of like your phone it's kind of like your phone that it gives you the algorithm that's kind of how reality works and all of what's happening in color you get is how reality works is being externalized into technology
- 42:20[UNKNOWN]: but which is, which is bad in a certain way because it takes you away from just any things, but for the people who are bright and ready for this, it can be used as a metaphor.
- 42:39[UNKNOWN]: So, so, I'm trying to think, like, it's just like, I'm trying to think how I can explain this,
- 42:54[UNKNOWN]: It's like, you notice like when you go into a room like when you're around someone, right?
- 43:00[UNKNOWN]: Again, this is very subtle.
- 43:01[UNKNOWN]: Obviously, I'm trying to explain something very subtle and I'm trying to do it like philosophically, you know, coherent.
- 43:09[UNKNOWN]: So it's like when you're around someone and and they're thinking negative about you and they're thinking something's going to go wrong,
- 43:22[UNKNOWN]: Like for example, I used to go to my grandmother's and fix her computer and I would go over there and she's like Jason you're not going to be able to fix it and as long as she was watching me I couldn't fix it.
- 43:35[UNKNOWN]: And then when she would leave, I would be able to fix it.
- 43:41[UNKNOWN]: And that's because I am not just, because again, I know I jumped around a lot.
- 43:46[UNKNOWN]: How I arrived at this is first you have to negate the self.
- 43:51[UNKNOWN]: When you negate that there's a Jason, that there's a separate Jason, that's what the whole point of the emptiness is, then the next step is to,
- 44:04[UNKNOWN]: is to start seeing what is, and start playing with this.
- 44:08[UNKNOWN]: And again, you've had guests on people talking about magic, right?
- 44:13[UNKNOWN]: This is everything is magic.
- 44:14[UNKNOWN]: That's the whole point, everything is magic.
- 44:18[UNKNOWN]: And it is, and Buddha described it like that, you know, he said, you know, he gave eight metaphors.
- 44:24[UNKNOWN]: It's a mirage.
- 44:26[UNKNOWN]: It's like a dream.
- 44:27[UNKNOWN]: A dream is actually the best example.
- 44:30[UNKNOWN]: When you're dreaming,
- 44:31[UNKNOWN]: You know, Mark is on the bed, but now you're having a dream, especially if you get more lucid.
- 44:38[UNKNOWN]: you're a character, you're the whole world, and you're the other people, and if you're really get lucid, you could even hear your own thoughts in the dream.
- 44:46[UNKNOWN]: I've opened up, and I remember what I was thinking of the dream.
- 44:49[UNKNOWN]: So that means that you're mine created a world, characters, a self, and thoughts, and you didn't even realize you were doing that.
- 44:59[UNKNOWN]: So that's just a little clue, it's a little clue, you know, about how this works.
- 45:05[UNKNOWN]: Um, you know, psychic phenomena, like, this, this paradigm can bridge it all together.
- 45:11[UNKNOWN]: So, yeah, I mean, um, and like, for example, like, Sam Tripply, I love this.
- 45:18[UNKNOWN]: Like, he always says, I'm not a flat earther.
- 45:20[UNKNOWN]: I'm not a round earther.
- 45:21[UNKNOWN]: I'm a realm earther.
- 45:23[UNKNOWN]: That's what I'm insinuating.
- 45:25[UNKNOWN]: We're in a realm and the Buddha described like,
- 45:31[UNKNOWN]: You know, he doesn't have the whole cosmology.
- 45:34[UNKNOWN]: And he says that there's infinite numbers of realms, just like this.
- 45:39[UNKNOWN]: And they all have a not narrow in a sun and a moon that go around it.
- 45:42[UNKNOWN]: But all of them are made up of the collective karma and minds of beings.
- 45:52[UNKNOWN]: So it's like, so in other words, I am not just this perception of me in the body.
- 46:00[UNKNOWN]: Everywhere I go, I'm rendering the world around me.
- 46:04[UNKNOWN]: I am me and the world around me, and the multiplayer aspect is where we interact.
- 46:10[UNKNOWN]: Me and you chose to be here and your audience, so we're all participating in this rendering.
- 46:19[UNKNOWN]: But because everything is arising and rendering, like I don't know if you've had any like Mandela effects that are undeniable, but I've had a whole bunch, you know?
- 46:29[UNKNOWN]: And when I started to see it, like that was already deep into the Buddhist teaching, I was basically a monk.
- 46:34[UNKNOWN]: I had no contact.
- 46:36[UNKNOWN]: And I honestly,
- 46:38[UNKNOWN]: found that the conspiracy, the truth or movement, was more aligned with the Buddhist teaching than the Buddhist people these days.
- 46:46[UNKNOWN]: I mean, like, I tried to explain to them the Mandela effect, and they look at me like, I'm crazy.
- 46:49[UNKNOWN]: I'm like, this is what the Buddha said.
- 46:51[UNKNOWN]: There's no fixed external world.
- 46:53[UNKNOWN]: We've been studying emptiness.
- 46:54[UNKNOWN]: That's the first step, you know?
- 46:56[UNKNOWN]: So, so yeah, so it's like,
- 47:01[UNKNOWN]: That's why relationships are so important.
- 47:03[UNKNOWN]: Who you choose to be around, you know?
- 47:06[UNKNOWN]: Who you choose to let into your life is very important.
- 47:11[UNKNOWN]: And that's why
- 47:15[UNKNOWN]: Again, I jump around and you're such a good listener, but like, you know, like, you've had some guests on a figure whose name an Indian guy who says, we're come out of, or we're about to hit the end of Colleague, then we're gonna have explosions, and there's a lot of people who think we're open.
- 47:29[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, yeah, smart guy, I love them, and you know, there are this theory, it's kind of like the Christian, like the world's gonna end people, like, they've been talking about like the Colleague and India forever, you know, like, what's the actual dates and, oh, it's this date
- 47:46[UNKNOWN]: I go by with the Buddha sent because he's been spot on about so many things and when he said was, so this is the official, I'm officially saying this here, you know, because he was very clear, he lived like 2,600 years ago and he said after I died, the lifespan, the lifespan when he was alive with the average was 100 years, the lifespan is going to
- 48:15[UNKNOWN]: Families are going to break up, communication is going to be disrupted, you're going to pollute the Earth, diseases are going to rise, and it's going to continue until it hits rock bottom, which is a few thousand years from now even.
- 48:28[UNKNOWN]: And when it hits rock bottom, it will now come back up.
- 48:32[UNKNOWN]: Like the few humans who are not plugged into the Matrix will do some good merit, which again, it's all video games.
- 48:38[UNKNOWN]: So they're not really plugged in.
- 48:39[UNKNOWN]: They just think they're plugged in kind of there.
- 48:41[UNKNOWN]: But then the lifespan will increase.
- 48:43[UNKNOWN]: And then when the average lifespan gets to 100 years, that's when my trayah, the next Buddha of this Ion will come.
- 48:52[UNKNOWN]: So the bad news is we are in a descending cycle.
- 48:58[UNKNOWN]: You know like people love hope people love to be like oh, no, no, we're you know, but but there is really good news because It doesn't matter that it's Calliuga.
- 49:09[UNKNOWN]: This is just where this is like the video game wearing the hard Calliuga is hard mode This things are gonna get to the point where how I stand
- 49:20[UNKNOWN]: There will be all the things we're afraid of, you know, like the data centers, smart cities, most people are going to be living in them with their AI husband, you know, robot husband and like people are going to choose that path.
- 49:32[UNKNOWN]: But the people who can see through that, this colleague, this is the white pill, like it doesn't matter who that's colleague.
- 49:40[UNKNOWN]: In fact, advanced players,
- 49:44[UNKNOWN]: Um, choose to be in Kaliyuga because this is an amazing time to see M.T.S.
- 49:50[UNKNOWN]: to see that this is a video because things are going to get crazier and when they get crazier like it's going to be undeniable everything I'm saying to you, you're either going to see it or you're not, you know,
- 50:07[UNKNOWN]: Outside of that smart city, you know, where, you know, you get everything, you get a car, you get your food, everything delivered to you, but we just need your data to improve the AI like that's, you know, and I see like, like, trump smart cities and I like, like, like,
- 50:29[UNKNOWN]: the people who right now are trying to cultivate human connection, trying to do whatever we can to stay human, we're going to I think we're going to find each other because there's so many talented people like yourself like like I know dentists and doctors who would just
- 50:45[UNKNOWN]: discovering things that are so outside what the system says is possible, you know, like the guess on your show, what the next step is like we're going to be forced to like start to create these eco-techno villages and just start just how it working together.
- 51:00[UNKNOWN]: So I'm optimistic about the of what's coming.
- 51:07[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 51:08[UNKNOWN]: And in fact, it's kind of has to happen in a way because if you think about it, like it's weird how it wound up, like you live in a city, you live in a suburb, like you don't know who your neighbors are, like so we're all creating our reality, like co-participating, you know, we're all participating, have like created, we're participating in how our reality unfolds.
- 51:30[UNKNOWN]: And we're living with people we don't know because we got jobs and so everybody has been disconnected.
- 51:37[UNKNOWN]: And because of that, like, they're limiting our abilities.
- 51:42[UNKNOWN]: I got a good example.
- 51:43[UNKNOWN]: They're limiting our abilities to manifest, to use that word, to experience like what we want.
- 51:54[UNKNOWN]: And I'll give you an example.
- 51:55[UNKNOWN]: Like, have you heard of the tradition from the Tibetan Buddhist, the Vajrayana with a go on there three years, three months, three day retreat.
- 52:06[UNKNOWN]: Okay, it's pretty common practice for most of the llamas to do a three year, three month, three day retreat.
- 52:14[UNKNOWN]: There's a reason for it again during the time, but you could do it by yourself.
- 52:20[UNKNOWN]: You could do it with a woman, sometimes it's like a man and a woman, sometimes it's usually with a group of people.
- 52:27[UNKNOWN]: And what you do is, and you're not allowed to make any contact with the outside world during this whole time, what someone will be bringing food, delivering things, and they put it in a place, and then walk away, and then they take it.
- 52:43[UNKNOWN]: This has been a tradition forever, you know?
- 52:47[UNKNOWN]: What they do is they make a like a they do a whole ritual where they make a boundary where they won't walk past like I'm not going to walk past this point.
- 52:57[UNKNOWN]: So what they're doing and then their stories once they're in the retreat they start flying they start doing all the stuff that they've been wanting to do.
- 53:04[UNKNOWN]: Because they are creating within the video game because because that's the nature of consciousness that's the nature of this video game.
- 53:17[UNKNOWN]: The Mandela fact now was when two or three come together in my name.
- 53:22[UNKNOWN]: But anyway, so like, but that's really what it is, like, and if you think about it, I don't like to, I'm not going to say they, I'm just saying, they, they, they Trump, they're just a symptom of the Coliubo.
- 53:37[UNKNOWN]: Coliubo just means disconnection.
- 53:40[UNKNOWN]: So we have cohesion and then the disconnection.
- 53:44[UNKNOWN]: So we're powerful creators and everybody's inside by themselves on their phones all day long.
- 53:51[UNKNOWN]: And I saw, I mean, I'm a little older than you, but you know, life is like before COVID, before social media, you know, like, what's the trend here?
- 53:59[UNKNOWN]: It's just disconnection isolation.
- 54:03[UNKNOWN]: And but when we're together and forget about they, we don't have to fight them.
- 54:08[UNKNOWN]: We come together and decide what we want.
- 54:12[UNKNOWN]: And then, and that's what these monks that we're doing or or retreatants would do, they would, we're not going to have any content and we we believe that we're all deities and we have and and so it's so it's almost like.
- 54:30[UNKNOWN]: Well, like you can say, well, I don't believe in, you know, how can these people used to have powers?
- 54:35[UNKNOWN]: And now no one has powers because of the, if there's a surrounding by people who can't see that in their perception, I'll feel they won't be able to happen.
- 54:47[UNKNOWN]: So knowing can just like a lot of people like the atheist are like, they expect someone to just do some magical power in front of them.
- 54:54[UNKNOWN]: You see, oh, okay, now I believe in the super enough.
- 54:56[UNKNOWN]: Now I believe it's more than just material.
- 54:58[UNKNOWN]: But that's not how it works.
- 54:59[UNKNOWN]: It's exactly the opposite.
- 55:01[UNKNOWN]: You have to be open for it to come into your feels.
- 55:05[UNKNOWN]: And I'm coming from total atheist background.
- 55:09[UNKNOWN]: My parents were atheist, you know, scientists, you know, like socialist, like, so I totally understand that mindset.
- 55:16[UNKNOWN]: I was like evolutionary theory.
- 55:18[UNKNOWN]: That was like my, my medication.
- 55:20[UNKNOWN]: And you can see it, that evolutionary theory.
- 55:23[UNKNOWN]: Again, remember how I was saying how view shapes our reality?
- 55:28[UNKNOWN]: So you notice.
- 55:30[UNKNOWN]: That that evolutionary theory for example is so deeply ingrained that like everything has to be explained by evolutionary theory so it's so limiting to how people can understand even how their body works, you know, so yeah, I can go on.
- 55:52[UNKNOWN]: from what I've learned about Buddhism, or maybe more specifically, Vedic Buddhism, they talk about the evolution of beings, like the early origins of life.
- 56:10[UNKNOWN]: And they're not using evolution in the same terms or context as evolutionary sciences.
- 56:21[UNKNOWN]: on that note, you know, what have you learned from your studies in Judaism about the origins of life, about those kind of big questions that science, the self-to-arted answering?
- 56:35[UNKNOWN]: You want to go there, okay, let me try it.
- 56:38[UNKNOWN]: So there is, there is something called the Abidharma.
- 56:41[UNKNOWN]: So when I was going over those five topics, I didn't even finish.
- 56:44[UNKNOWN]: The fourth one is called the Abidharma.
- 56:46[UNKNOWN]: And this is a fascinating encyclopedia of all phenomena.
- 56:51[UNKNOWN]: And it includes basically everything, you know, physical, everything, mental and everything in between.
- 57:01[UNKNOWN]: So in that text, it explains the origin, but basically it's almost the, it's, it's a little complex, but I'll, I'll try to summarize it like this, like, member out of a saying like,
- 57:18[UNKNOWN]: Most barper valing view is that.
- 57:22[UNKNOWN]: There was a big bang that was completely unconscious.
- 57:26[UNKNOWN]: That bang created heavier, heavier atoms and somehow they take on properties, like they don't explain that, like how why is carbon back like carbon?
- 57:36[UNKNOWN]: But it's all structural, and it's all pieces.
- 57:38[UNKNOWN]: They can see that it like pieces, and the structure makes the function, and then that somehow turned into like a protein, a one-celled organism,
- 57:49[UNKNOWN]: blah blah blah up to human, and then all of a sudden, and then consciousness evolved with it, and then when it got to the human, all of a sudden self-reflective consciousness is human, right?
- 58:00[UNKNOWN]: That's basically the story.
- 58:04[UNKNOWN]: I'm saying it's the opposite.
- 58:07[UNKNOWN]: Right, that's the Buddhist view, it's the opposite.
- 58:09[UNKNOWN]: First is self-reflective awareness.
- 58:12[UNKNOWN]: At the very ground of
- 58:14[UNKNOWN]: is the consciousness that is able to reflect.
- 58:19[UNKNOWN]: That's the root of it all.
- 58:20[UNKNOWN]: And we are all that, but we are, we're that and we're also, again, like we're downstream on the process, but that is our nature.
- 58:33[UNKNOWN]: So this process, which I've been describing,
- 58:37[UNKNOWN]: It's like runs, we start as that and then it comes to us and then it wants to flow through us.
- 58:43[UNKNOWN]: And we just have to let it flow through us.
- 58:45[UNKNOWN]: And that's why I say is dope, Chen, Mahal Moudra.
- 58:48[UNKNOWN]: These are the highest paths because you have to do nothing but let it flow through you.
- 58:52[UNKNOWN]: And in that doing nothing, everything is there, though.
- 58:56[UNKNOWN]: It's like being in a flow state that I call a bliss and flow.
- 59:00[UNKNOWN]: It's two things, but I have a whole technical model.
- 59:05[UNKNOWN]: pay about in those times, but so the self-reflective consciousness, let's see how we explain this.
- 59:13[UNKNOWN]: I'm trying to have to get because it's mythological, it could sound theological, but trying to make this as, you know, as simple as possible, but the origin of life, right?
- 59:25[UNKNOWN]: In the beginning, there are these very high
- 59:33[UNKNOWN]: Right?
- 59:34[UNKNOWN]: And beings are at those realms.
- 59:36[UNKNOWN]: They have no form, they live gazil, it's an incredibly long amount of time.
- 59:42[UNKNOWN]: And you could say that we started off as one of those beings.
- 59:46[UNKNOWN]: But let's just say that one has four levels infinite space, infinite consciousness, then you're getting to what's called the subalform realms.
- 59:55[UNKNOWN]: Have you heard of Jonathan meditation, like Jonathan states?
- 59:58[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 1:00:00[UNKNOWN]: So this next realm is around there called Davis, which transcends in his gods.
- 1:00:05[UNKNOWN]: You can say angels.
- 1:00:06[UNKNOWN]: There's 12 levels with it there, and they have their own qualities.
- 1:00:14[UNKNOWN]: Those beings come before the next stage, which is called the Buddha called it the desire realm,
- 1:00:23[UNKNOWN]: You can call it the material realm, but like, again, nothing's really material because it's all in nature.
- 1:00:28[UNKNOWN]: It's like, but think about the matrix movie, like, there is a physical, but it's really, like, and the matrix movie really does this explanation very well with the programs and stuff, but so what I'm trying to say is, this is how the mythology goes.
- 1:00:50[UNKNOWN]: the level, the form, the subtle form realm, just above the physical plane, what a being comes from the high realm into that realm and he's by himself and he says, whoever I must, you know, like, whatever, and he, he, he's brahma, like you've heard a brahma.
- 1:01:11[UNKNOWN]: So, long story short, like,
- 1:01:18[UNKNOWN]: of the players.
- 1:01:19[UNKNOWN]: But from that realm, being occupied, not memory.
- 1:01:26[UNKNOWN]: And it's kind of like a devolution.
- 1:01:29[UNKNOWN]: I'm trying to try to explain this better.
- 1:01:32[UNKNOWN]: But basically, I guess what I could say is like, human's come first.
- 1:01:36[UNKNOWN]: Let's just read this way.
- 1:01:37[UNKNOWN]: Humans come first and they live really long time.
- 1:01:42[UNKNOWN]: And then,
- 1:01:44[UNKNOWN]: Certain humans take on animalistic qualities, lust, hatred, greediness, right?
- 1:01:51[UNKNOWN]: So a lot of, we say that all of the Dharma is preparing for death, because when you die, you go into a very powerful state.
- 1:02:01[UNKNOWN]: We go back into these subtle realms, and if you've been practicing your whole life, you can, you can become awake in those days, and then you can steer your next lifetime at all types of stuff.
- 1:02:10[UNKNOWN]: So,
- 1:02:12[UNKNOWN]: So death is very important place, and if you're, but also, let's just say like the cock, the rooster in Buddhism is connected to lust, right?
- 1:02:28[UNKNOWN]: So if you're a human, let's say, and you're like, I just want to have more and more sex.
- 1:02:33[UNKNOWN]: I could never have enough sex.
- 1:02:36[UNKNOWN]: You just want to, you know, you're masturbating like 12 times a day, right?
- 1:02:40[UNKNOWN]: When you die, you're going to be attracted to going to a chicken body, because that's gonna allow you to have a lot of sex.
- 1:02:48[UNKNOWN]: Like, that's kind of the idea.
- 1:02:51[UNKNOWN]: Like, it sounds funny, but it's completely logical.
- 1:02:53[UNKNOWN]: Like, it's like the universe is the whole matrix is a perfect feedback system.
- 1:02:59[UNKNOWN]: There's like karma is not like there's no one judging.
- 1:03:05[UNKNOWN]: It's like literally you have a boot in nature,
- 1:03:10[UNKNOWN]: are, you already are connected to the ultimate truth.
- 1:03:14[UNKNOWN]: So anytime you distort, you do something, that's not rooted in that.
- 1:03:21[UNKNOWN]: The feedback is just trying to pull you back.
- 1:03:23[UNKNOWN]: So the karma is not a punishment.
- 1:03:24[UNKNOWN]: It's actually just trying to get you back to what you are.
- 1:03:30[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, it's reflexive, it's like a, it's like a, yeah, it's a perfectly reflexive video game and and then again, like the Buddha, like I went all over the place today, like the exoteric teachings, the Buddha did not talk about video again, he just said like do these good deeds like if you generous, what's the quickest way to get wealthy, give.
- 1:03:53[UNKNOWN]: What's the fastest way to get people to respect you, respect other people?
- 1:03:59[UNKNOWN]: So it's counterintuitive, because we live in Colleague, so there's also a delay between Cardinal.
- 1:04:05[UNKNOWN]: And so people are kind of grew up thinking, I got from New York, like we were taught, like you've got a cheat to get ahead.
- 1:04:12[UNKNOWN]: Like you know what I mean?
- 1:04:13[UNKNOWN]: It's just like, and it really is like this whole system, which,
- 1:04:18[UNKNOWN]: It's getting so ridiculous now.
- 1:04:20[UNKNOWN]: I mean, your audience knows like the federal reserve, the central banks, the fraction of reserve banking.
- 1:04:26[UNKNOWN]: I mean, this whole thing is such an illusion.
- 1:04:30[UNKNOWN]: But, uh,
- 1:04:32[UNKNOWN]: But yeah, but that's again, that's why this is playing it on hard mode, because all of your listeners, your family thinks you're crazy, right?
- 1:04:40[UNKNOWN]: We've all suffered.
- 1:04:41[UNKNOWN]: I've suffered tremendously, you know, but not only does my family think I'm crazy.
- 1:04:45[UNKNOWN]: Everyone thinks I'm crazy.
- 1:04:46[UNKNOWN]: The Buddhist think I'm crazy, the truth, like everybody thinks I'm crazy, because I take this so serious, this idea of emptiness, of really getting into the truth that like, I don't want to
- 1:04:58[UNKNOWN]: Like I don't like once I catch myself being biased it like if I like I'll try to counter that until I can you know like let go of anything I'm playing it to
- 1:05:09[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:05:09[UNKNOWN]: What?
- 1:05:10[UNKNOWN]: Any lessons?
- 1:05:11[UNKNOWN]: What, me?
- 1:05:12[UNKNOWN]: I mean, you're right at home, as far as your family thinking you're crazy, but with Buddhism, what about your, you know, what you do gets them upset.
- 1:05:25[UNKNOWN]: Why would they think you're crazy?
- 1:05:27[UNKNOWN]: Oh, man.
- 1:05:28[UNKNOWN]: I think you kicked out of monasteries and stuff.
- 1:05:30[UNKNOWN]: No, but I mean, basically, how do I explain it?
- 1:05:35[UNKNOWN]: You know,
- 1:05:37[UNKNOWN]: Like, you know, Jesus never wanted to make Christianity.
- 1:05:40[UNKNOWN]: Buddha was very clearly not trying to make Buddhism.
- 1:05:45[UNKNOWN]: But, you know, again, people, especially in the West,
- 1:05:49[UNKNOWN]: They love the sense of belonging because people always ask me like oh, you're a Buddhist like what temples you go to like what you know Like what where do you practice?
- 1:05:58[UNKNOWN]: It's like I've practiced every single moment.
- 1:06:00[UNKNOWN]: That's that's what it's all about like especially when like again Yeah, I had teachers I did go I did was part of a modest area, but
- 1:06:08[UNKNOWN]: That's not the purpose of it.
- 1:06:10[UNKNOWN]: It's a practice, but it becomes like everything else.
- 1:06:15[UNKNOWN]: We live in a world of identity politics.
- 1:06:18[UNKNOWN]: Everything is identity.
- 1:06:19[UNKNOWN]: The very point of Buddha's teaching is to eliminate not identity, but like I said, it's a verb.
- 1:06:27[UNKNOWN]: Identitying or egoing or self-fing.
- 1:06:30[UNKNOWN]: So the whole point is to do it.
- 1:06:32[UNKNOWN]: And again, I feel like
- 1:06:37[UNKNOWN]: This time grandios, but I feel like I'm part of a small group of people, and this always happens in Buddhist history from the very beginning.
- 1:06:45[UNKNOWN]: You'll always see, like, Naropa, who's one of the greatest tantric masters, Virupa, all these great masters, their story is very similar, like they usually come from a very wealthy family of their friends, they give it all up, they become a monk,
- 1:07:02[UNKNOWN]: and they are so brilliant because of their past lives that they become the greatest ahead of the monastery.
- 1:07:08[UNKNOWN]: And then they know their abroad, they know they could explain that they can sit in meditation, but they don't have the true taste of the Dharma.
- 1:07:18[UNKNOWN]: And then they'll usually a dapini, which is a female Buddha, but very sexy,
- 1:07:28[UNKNOWN]: and he'll leave the monastery and you know, and then take on this tantric behavior and do all these things which are among can do.
- 1:07:38[UNKNOWN]: And everyone would be like, you're horrible.
- 1:07:43[UNKNOWN]: Like, you're fraud, like, and everyone hates him and then they come back and they display their abilities and they give these amazing teachings and everyone's like, wow!
- 1:07:52[UNKNOWN]: You really are the master, and this thing happens over and over again.
- 1:07:56[UNKNOWN]: It becomes orthodox, and then a master will come, a mahasita, will come, and just go up to the monks and just embarrass them and challenge them and just do all these things that you know.
- 1:08:12[UNKNOWN]: So this idea is very normal and we're due for that, especially in the West.
- 1:08:18[UNKNOWN]: There's a small handful of people
- 1:08:22[UNKNOWN]: Boomers who basically have controlled all the Buddhist literature and they're very feminist.
- 1:08:28[UNKNOWN]: They're very left-leaning, you know what I mean?
- 1:08:30[UNKNOWN]: And it's just, you know, it tends to be like the hippies made Buddhism popular.
- 1:08:39[UNKNOWN]: Like, I blame everything on the confusion, you know?
- 1:08:41[UNKNOWN]: And the theosophists, like they really, like,
- 1:08:46[UNKNOWN]: You know, and that's why, again, one of the projects I'm working on is this biography of this man named Herbert Gunther, who is inconceivable, like this guy, like taught himself Chinese and Sanskrit when he was like 12 years old, and in 1950, like he had two or three PhDs, he survived Nazi Germany, he like hit it, this guy has unbelievable, nobody wrote his books,
- 1:09:17[UNKNOWN]: to not translate the Buddhist teachings laterally.
- 1:09:22[UNKNOWN]: He understood the meaning and put it in Western and he really went to pain-taking deep of any war and that if people are already starting to do this the wrong way and now, like I'm in touch with his daughter who's 80 years old.
- 1:09:37[UNKNOWN]: So I'm interviewing her to write his bio.
- 1:09:41[UNKNOWN]: And she was like, yeah, he was very upset at the end of his life like how, and he's almost forgotten about.
- 1:09:48[UNKNOWN]: But to me, again, this is also a very popular motif in our, in our 2500-year history.
- 1:09:56[UNKNOWN]: It's like a teacher like him would come around and write all these books and then everyone forgets about him and then someone will discover these books and like bring them out and I feel like that's that's my calling and I feel like with that.
- 1:10:10[UNKNOWN]: And there's a, I have some other people on YouTube I see who I'm optimistic about, but just in general, like I said, if you're trying to fit Buddhism into evolutionary theory, you can't do that.
- 1:10:24[UNKNOWN]: You know, and if I say, I don't think it's flat or around, but the Buddha taught flatter, you know, you gave a complete cosmology.
- 1:10:32[UNKNOWN]: Like,
- 1:10:33[UNKNOWN]: And if I say, if you can't question the earth without getting triggered, that's what I mean.
- 1:10:40[UNKNOWN]: So I'll just say this to these Western Buddhists.
- 1:10:44[UNKNOWN]: Some of them have done like six years of retreat.
- 1:10:47[UNKNOWN]: six years of meditation retreat and they can't understand that with the Buddha said the world like that outside world and you can't and and how do I know it?
- 1:10:57[UNKNOWN]: You see how people act like like today with this call right like I've been so excited to to talk to you
- 1:11:05[UNKNOWN]: and I moved into a place a little over a month ago.
- 1:11:08[UNKNOWN]: My internet is amazing.
- 1:11:09[UNKNOWN]: Could I get a couple of podcasts last year and the internet wasn't a good.
- 1:11:12[UNKNOWN]: I'm like, this is it.
- 1:11:14[UNKNOWN]: Five o'clock.
- 1:11:15[UNKNOWN]: I could relax.
- 1:11:16[UNKNOWN]: I'm just going to prepare for this.
- 1:11:18[UNKNOWN]: 1230.
- 1:11:19[UNKNOWN]: My internet was not working.
- 1:11:21[UNKNOWN]: So,
- 1:11:22[UNKNOWN]: I could have said, oh my god, and I did a little bit of that, but I'm like, I'm in a video game.
- 1:11:26[UNKNOWN]: So this is how I practice.
- 1:11:28[UNKNOWN]: I'm in a video game.
- 1:11:29[UNKNOWN]: This is happening for me.
- 1:11:31[UNKNOWN]: It's not, you know what I mean?
- 1:11:32[UNKNOWN]: Like, there is like, when you're playing a video, what, when I see a video game, I meant to say this, too.
- 1:11:36[UNKNOWN]: It's kind of like a movie.
- 1:11:37[UNKNOWN]: Okay, John uses the example of a movie.
- 1:11:40[UNKNOWN]: When you watch a movie and something bad happens to the character, you don't say, oh, this movie sucks.
- 1:11:45[UNKNOWN]: Like, you know that he's going to get revenge and
- 1:11:52[UNKNOWN]: We're in the plot, you know, we're in this thing and the whole universe is conspiring to give us the best, you know, what exactly, what we need.
- 1:12:00[UNKNOWN]: Because, remember, we talked, you said, reflexive, right?
- 1:12:03[UNKNOWN]: It's everything.
- 1:12:04[UNKNOWN]: So if the internet is not working, something like, you know, how I respond to this is going to influence what happens today.
- 1:12:11[UNKNOWN]: So
- 1:12:12[UNKNOWN]: I was like, stay calm, you know, and then it said it would be up at one o'clock, and then I checked at 1230, it says 310, I'm like, oh no, so I start looking, stay calm, back up plan, I call Shane, chat shout out dancing elephant, bookstore, and his internet's out too late, so I went to my mom, you know, and then it said like 10 p.m.
- 1:12:33[UNKNOWN]: I'm like, okay, I got to make it happen and here we are in, you know, and I just kept telling myself, good I tend to worry, like, you know,
- 1:12:41[UNKNOWN]: This is going to work out perfectly, you know, is going to work out perfectly.
- 1:12:44[UNKNOWN]: Then whatever happens is going to be meant to, is what, what's meant to be.
- 1:12:49[UNKNOWN]: And, you know, full disclosure, this is going great.
- 1:12:53[UNKNOWN]: So no need to be nervous.
- 1:12:54[UNKNOWN]: I could tell a little bit, you know, but that's fine because we're getting somewhere here and I love what you're talking about right now.
- 1:13:01[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.
- 1:13:02[UNKNOWN]: I mean, a little bit of things, a lot, thank you.
- 1:13:04[UNKNOWN]: Well, of course, and, you know, I saw the notes just saying, you know, we wouldn't be here if you weren't great, right?
- 1:13:11[UNKNOWN]: So, or about when it comes to Buddhism though, I'm very curious about what sounds like, I mean, censorship, right, because I have.
- 1:13:22[UNKNOWN]: so many books.
- 1:13:23[UNKNOWN]: And one of my favorite things to do is find odd.
- 1:13:29[UNKNOWN]: Yes, you know, so like there's a few, I can think of in my collection that are Buddhist-related, but aren't boring as how I described.
- 1:13:40[UNKNOWN]: Because without knowing this, I've come to sort of sense.
- 1:13:47[UNKNOWN]: Like, yeah, a lot of this stuff is
- 1:13:49[UNKNOWN]: little boring, you know, and I, I always cross it up to well, maybe it's because these academics who are translating this stuff are, you know, putting attention to certain narratives that they want to promote for their gender, right, within the purview of Buddhism and within the purview of, oh, well, I'm a Buddhist, so it's all the more special that my agenda, you know,
- 1:14:15[UNKNOWN]: research comes down to is they have a thesis that is their agenda and unfortunately a lot of these a lot of the books that I have on Buddhism, they come from people of that society.
- 1:14:29[UNKNOWN]: So it's interesting.
- 1:14:31[UNKNOWN]: There are a few I have on like
- 1:14:34[UNKNOWN]: Charminism into bet and that touches on Buddhism to some of you.
- 1:14:39[UNKNOWN]: That's kind of an humble book.
- 1:14:41[UNKNOWN]: And then there's a few others about different rituals and such that they're still coming to mind.
- 1:14:48[UNKNOWN]: You know, on that note, what are some topics or examples?
- 1:14:52[UNKNOWN]: I mean, you just mentioned the view of the earth.
- 1:14:56[UNKNOWN]: When we get into that a little further, I mean, I've seen Matt of the Buddha on what looks like a flatter.
- 1:15:03[UNKNOWN]: Is this what you're referring to?
- 1:15:05[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, so the way it's described the world system is in the center.
- 1:15:11[UNKNOWN]: There's a giant mountain mountain there.
- 1:15:14[UNKNOWN]: and it's made of jewels, precious jewels, and up on this mountain, there's canapies where there's actual different levels of beings.
- 1:15:24[UNKNOWN]: Who live there?
- 1:15:27[UNKNOWN]: And then when you get to the top of the mountain, there's even some beings above the top of the mountain.
- 1:15:32[UNKNOWN]: So we'll stop there for a second with the mountain, but then on four sides of the mountain,
- 1:15:38[UNKNOWN]: is what's called four continents.
- 1:15:40[UNKNOWN]: So we are in the Southern continent, you get it.
- 1:15:44[UNKNOWN]: I think the Western people translating this were kind of biased.
- 1:15:49[UNKNOWN]: So have you heard this theory of hyperborea where we have, like the North Pole is a goniflatter.
- 1:15:59[UNKNOWN]: Like if you go towards the North Pole, it's the magnetic north, right?
- 1:16:02[UNKNOWN]: So it's like the center, right?
- 1:16:04[UNKNOWN]: But then there's this ice wall.
- 1:16:07[UNKNOWN]: But if you go a certain place in North,
- 1:16:11[UNKNOWN]: the real north, not the magnetic north, you will go into hyperborea, which is described like also in the book of Enoch, these four rivers that come from the central place, right?
- 1:16:22[UNKNOWN]: So a lot of flutters, there's a trying to say that Mount Meru is like at the north pole, and we just can't see it, it's energetic, but Mount Meru is like higher than the sun in the morning.
- 1:16:34[UNKNOWN]: You know what I mean?
- 1:16:35[UNKNOWN]: It's really big.
- 1:16:36[UNKNOWN]: And,
- 1:16:38[UNKNOWN]: You know, and like the reason why we see blue, this is one of the mythology.
- 1:16:41[UNKNOWN]: We see blue sky is because we're on the blue side.
- 1:16:45[UNKNOWN]: The southern side is reflecting the blue, like jewels that come from Mount Meron.
- 1:16:51[UNKNOWN]: But, but the interesting thing is there's these group of people called the Asuras.
- 1:16:57[UNKNOWN]: And these are called like the demigods, right?
- 1:16:59[UNKNOWN]: And they're higher than a human realm in terms of lifespan.
- 1:17:04[UNKNOWN]: Like they have it really good.
- 1:17:06[UNKNOWN]: They live on the lower level of Mount River.
- 1:17:08[UNKNOWN]: They have it really good.
- 1:17:09[UNKNOWN]: But their emotion is jealousy.
- 1:17:12[UNKNOWN]: So they want to fight their way up to beat the gods.
- 1:17:16[UNKNOWN]: And they always lose basically.
- 1:17:19[UNKNOWN]: But it's interesting because you hear these stories like John Kerry,
- 1:17:25[UNKNOWN]: like on the election day he flew to Antarctica and like you'll see like the Vatican like or the Pope or something like they fly you've heard about people just randomly flying to Antarctica and they let you know it you know they put it out there and so
- 1:17:42[UNKNOWN]: I would not put it past that these demigods are like the Nephilim.
- 1:17:47[UNKNOWN]: And I think there is a physical way to, you could die in the reincarnated there.
- 1:17:51[UNKNOWN]: That's the quick way, you know, just, you know what I mean, but like these beings are very dense mindive, which I'll get into that too.
- 1:18:01[UNKNOWN]: So I think they actually are physically able to meet them.
- 1:18:07[UNKNOWN]: But at the time, yeah, remind me the name of the beings on this lower realm of Mount Miro.
- 1:18:14[UNKNOWN]: And Sanskrit is Asura.
- 1:18:16[UNKNOWN]: So the Asura would be like the equivalent to the Nephilimus, which you say.
- 1:18:21[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:18:22[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:18:22[UNKNOWN]: They're they're giant and they can physically, you know, they, they are in the same physical plane as us.
- 1:18:29[UNKNOWN]: But let's, let me say,
- 1:18:32[UNKNOWN]: Um, because it sounds like it sounds like Mount Marrows more like holographic in the sense that like we're all connected to it, although our physical play the physical plane we're on, you know, we might not be.
- 1:18:50[UNKNOWN]: accessing those higher our realms, we just, you just nailed it.
- 1:18:56[UNKNOWN]: You just nailed it.
- 1:18:57[UNKNOWN]: It's, it's fractal.
- 1:18:58[UNKNOWN]: Exactly.
- 1:18:58[UNKNOWN]: Mount Merru is also in us, our spine.
- 1:19:01[UNKNOWN]: You could say like we, we are also Mount Merru.
- 1:19:03[UNKNOWN]: Like when you're getting to the cult, there's many tantras.
- 1:19:05[UNKNOWN]: We didn't talk about tantras.
- 1:19:07[UNKNOWN]: There are many, many tantras.
- 1:19:08[UNKNOWN]: And these are like very vast.
- 1:19:12[UNKNOWN]: teachings and they're encoded in secret language.
- 1:19:15[UNKNOWN]: So you need commentaries and I've had to talk to many teachers about this, but about the subtle points, but yes, we also, it's like all the levels.
- 1:19:33[UNKNOWN]: Like I was saying above, like Mount Meru, there's what's called, like I said, the formless realms, which are depicted above it, but they're not really above it.
- 1:19:41[UNKNOWN]: They're just more subtle.
- 1:19:43[UNKNOWN]: The formless realms, you as Mark, your mind can go there.
- 1:19:48[UNKNOWN]: Your mind can go to, that's called John Estate.
- 1:19:52[UNKNOWN]: So that's,
- 1:19:53[UNKNOWN]: So again, people say I meditate for a long time, but it laid out very specific instructions.
- 1:19:59[UNKNOWN]: Like when you're meditating, you're trying to achieve the jaunistates, like, and there's all these ways to know how to get there.
- 1:20:06[UNKNOWN]: And each one of these states has a distinct sensation.
- 1:20:10[UNKNOWN]: It's kind of like shifting gears in your car.
- 1:20:12[UNKNOWN]: You feel your breath pattern changes.
- 1:20:14[UNKNOWN]: So
- 1:20:16[UNKNOWN]: So when people take psychedelics, though, you'll also go to those formless realms.
- 1:20:21[UNKNOWN]: So when people encounter beings on DMT, that's the form realm entities, the subtle form realm entities.
- 1:20:31[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 1:20:32[UNKNOWN]: But again, like you said, it's also like it's also in you all, you have it.
- 1:20:37[UNKNOWN]: It's, they're places, but they're also a equivalent state of mind within you.
- 1:20:42[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:20:43[UNKNOWN]: It's interesting, like the structure is important.
- 1:20:48[UNKNOWN]: Like if we envision ourselves in our realm, but we give ourselves an inaccurate portrayal of what our realm looks like, it's harder to navigate, right?
- 1:21:01[UNKNOWN]: So like science gives us a solar system ball spinning around each other model.
- 1:21:08[UNKNOWN]: And maybe because we have this,
- 1:21:11[UNKNOWN]: inaccurate model we can't navigate spiritually the way it was intended.
- 1:21:17[UNKNOWN]: So I'm curious, you know, to your knowledge, like what does the Buddhist model, you know, flatter around earth, all that aside, let's take all that out of it, how does the Buddhist, you know, model look?
- 1:21:31[UNKNOWN]: How do they map out the world around us, like be on the physical earth?
- 1:21:36[UNKNOWN]: because you mentioned like the Arctic circle in the mountain at the center, it's confused for Mount Meru, but isn't it actual like Buddhist map of how we, you know, are around that we're in the seven continents that we know and their relationship to what else is out there.
- 1:21:57[UNKNOWN]: Is there like a coherent map of that?
- 1:21:59[UNKNOWN]: Absolutely.
- 1:22:04[UNKNOWN]: Like I said, it's not maru in the middle and then we're in a south of that is what's called the southern area that that would be our entire known world is is what we call the southern continent then there's four more a three more there's the eastern and the booted described like the northern continent they have cows that that that great wishes I mean yeah they they go into great detail about exactly what the realms are.
- 1:22:33[UNKNOWN]: And the Buddha, like, remember, there's like all these esoteric teachings in the most non-esoteric, the exoteric, what's called the polycanon, Hineana Buddhism, the Buddha would frequently teleport to Mount Meru and have meetings with the gods and they all recognize the Buddha as higher than any of the gods.
- 1:22:56[UNKNOWN]: like this.
- 1:23:00[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:23:00[UNKNOWN]: And they would describe the palaces of these guys.
- 1:23:03[UNKNOWN]: So on top of Mount Meru, it's called the realm of the 33 gods.
- 1:23:10[UNKNOWN]: And Indra is the king of the gods.
- 1:23:12[UNKNOWN]: Indra is the Hindu version of Zeus.
- 1:23:14[UNKNOWN]: It's Zeus, basically.
- 1:23:19[UNKNOWN]: So you got like the, you got Q-pid.
- 1:23:21[UNKNOWN]: Commodade is the
- 1:23:26[UNKNOWN]: And like now the Olympus.
- 1:23:28[UNKNOWN]: So and there's they have foods obviously we can't imagine Obviously they're dancing all the time and enjoying a long life and they and they they look at They look at the the continents below like reality TV like they're very interested in what we're doing It's very entertaining, but like I said
- 1:23:50[UNKNOWN]: The Buddha warned the Buddha really said that the human realm is a very great place to be because if you have all that luxury, you know, and when you start to you live a long time in that realm, but when you start to die, you instead of giving off perfume smell, you start to smell bad to the other gods and you're thrown that you sit on starts to feel hard before you just kind of float so they say that.
- 1:24:18[UNKNOWN]: If you achieve that realm, and then you die, it's incredibly painful, so, but yes, we've been there.
- 1:24:28[UNKNOWN]: We've been that before.
- 1:24:30[UNKNOWN]: Cause in my view, we have descended.
- 1:24:32[UNKNOWN]: So we had to descend all the way down to the hell realm.
- 1:24:36[UNKNOWN]: But again, it's not like the Christian, like I wouldn't even call Christian, because this guy origin, who was the guy who kind of came up with the Trinity and Christianity,
- 1:24:46[UNKNOWN]: You know, Shane at the bookstore told me that him, he was a student, him and Platynist, the major neocleteness had the same neocleteness teacher.
- 1:24:56[UNKNOWN]: But up until 600 AD Christians, Catholics believed in reincarnation because of origin.
- 1:25:03[UNKNOWN]: Or origin said, you keep coming back until you purify your soul exactly what Buddha taught.
- 1:25:09[UNKNOWN]: That's the Buddha nature.
- 1:25:09[UNKNOWN]: You can never lose the Buddha nature.
- 1:25:11[UNKNOWN]: You can go to hell.
- 1:25:13[UNKNOWN]: You can get things shoved up your ass for like a long time, but eventually you're going to purify and you're going to learn your lesson and you're never going to want to go back to hell and you're going to cultivate Bodhi Chitta and become a Buddha.
- 1:25:25[UNKNOWN]: See the differences, it's kind of like a beautiful story.
- 1:25:27[UNKNOWN]: You start off in this high god realm and you have omniscience, but you don't have compassion, you don't have empathy.
- 1:25:34[UNKNOWN]: So you have to kind of spiral, you know, all the way down, come back up to the human realm,
- 1:25:41[UNKNOWN]: and then start on the dharma instead of trying to go back up, the Buddha is like, don't try to go back up to the hell, to the God realms because we're just gonna come back down again.
- 1:25:53[UNKNOWN]: So like go for it, Nirvana means like the cessation.
- 1:25:59[UNKNOWN]: So no more attachment to any of the realms.
- 1:26:03[UNKNOWN]: And when you achieve that paradoxically, now you master all the realms.
- 1:26:07[UNKNOWN]: And you could even go to the other realms.
- 1:26:10[UNKNOWN]: Like, voodas meet in these pure realms.
- 1:26:12[UNKNOWN]: It's because again, it's a video game.
- 1:26:14[UNKNOWN]: It's like when you get rid of all of your some scars, all of your all of your clasions, your emotional and cognitive distortions on how you're,
- 1:26:25[UNKNOWN]: participating in reality.
- 1:26:27[UNKNOWN]: Now you can, now you can, you have all those powers to do to do, you know, and what you want to do is you create a Buddhist pure realm where you invite high level beings to come learn from you and every being
- 1:26:40[UNKNOWN]: We have to say nature, but every one of us, when we become a Buddha, will be slightly different.
- 1:26:45[UNKNOWN]: Like Sam Firpul is going to be like everything, like this lifetime is Sam and all his past lifetimes have all like preparing him for the Buddha version of him.
- 1:26:59[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, and it's a destiny, we're all gonna achieve it.
- 1:27:01[UNKNOWN]: So it's like, you know, that's what it's so insane about the Abrahamic religions.
- 1:27:07[UNKNOWN]: Like, and again, it's not the original.
- 1:27:09[UNKNOWN]: But this idea that you're gonna go to a hell for eternity, like that's insane.
- 1:27:14[UNKNOWN]: Like, how could you, like, so if your kid does and believe in Jesus, you're gonna be okay with your kid and hell for eternity, like, okay, I'm in hell.
- 1:27:23[UNKNOWN]: It sucks, let me out.
- 1:27:24[UNKNOWN]: No, you should have said, believe in Jesus,
- 1:27:29[UNKNOWN]: So I want to go back to something he said earlier in our conversation, and there was a couple things, but together it was what you said about being in India and then what you said about other Buddhist generally, you know, where they're like, oh, what temple do you go to and you're like, I'm practicing Buddhism everywhere, right?
- 1:27:38[UNKNOWN]: So people are going to have a lot of fun, and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun and they're going to have a lot of fun
- 1:27:58[UNKNOWN]: I think particularly in the West, I don't know what it's like in other cultures, but it seems like we latch on to something that seems foreign and then we idealize it, right?
- 1:28:11[UNKNOWN]: So, and you even expressed like, you know, I was expecting to learn all this stuff and we didn't do any of that.
- 1:28:18[UNKNOWN]: It wasn't until I left that I got a curriculum where I started learning and it all made sense.
- 1:28:23[UNKNOWN]: So,
- 1:28:24[UNKNOWN]: What did your experience in India comprise of?
- 1:28:28[UNKNOWN]: Do you think now in hindsight, what was going on was maybe a preliminary preparation for what followed or maybe some sort of vetting where they were seeing what you're really all about and kind of, you know, you thought, well, am I being strong along here?
- 1:28:47[UNKNOWN]: And in all reality, they were testing you.
- 1:28:49[UNKNOWN]: Like, what was your actual experience in India like?
- 1:28:54[UNKNOWN]: you know, not what people make it out to be with a rosy color and glasses and the yogis posing and like all this.
- 1:29:02[UNKNOWN]: Was it really like that?
- 1:29:04[UNKNOWN]: No, India is definitely not like that, India is intense no matter what but no good question.
- 1:29:11[UNKNOWN]: I mean, so so
- 1:29:17[UNKNOWN]: What Guestula did was, yeah, he would take me.
- 1:29:20[UNKNOWN]: So there's four main lineages of Tibetan Buddhism, right?
- 1:29:24[UNKNOWN]: And they have, they're all going for the same thing, but they have very different approaches in some ways.
- 1:29:32[UNKNOWN]: And there's either been political too.
- 1:29:34[UNKNOWN]: There's been actually wars because the Mongols generally protected Tibetans for all this time.
- 1:29:39[UNKNOWN]: So whoever schooled the Mongols favor tend to be the dominant school,
- 1:29:45[UNKNOWN]: But putting that aside, what was I going to say?
- 1:29:49[UNKNOWN]: Oh, the, okay, so yes, so what guess you're like, did was, I got to meet the head of the soccer school for example, soccer treason.
- 1:30:03[UNKNOWN]: This guy is very, very like sort of very high lava.
- 1:30:07[UNKNOWN]: And I'm just meeting all of them and I'm getting blessings from them everywhere I go.
- 1:30:12[UNKNOWN]: You know, and guess you did eventually start teaching me, but the funny thing is he didn't teach me the sutra taught me, he jumped right into the tantrum, which is very unusual.
- 1:30:26[UNKNOWN]: And so when he did finally start teaching me, it was that.
- 1:30:30[UNKNOWN]: It was only when I left that I studied the curriculum of sutras stuff.
- 1:30:36[UNKNOWN]: So you could say, I mean, and I remember thinking to myself, like, why am I, what are all these blessings going to do?
- 1:30:41[UNKNOWN]: You know?
- 1:30:42[UNKNOWN]: So yeah, so it was probably partially a vetting process.
- 1:30:45[UNKNOWN]: And, you know, we talk about the video game, right?
- 1:30:49[UNKNOWN]: So it's like, that's what blessings are if you could think about, like, if you achieve this state where you're aware of this process, that you're participating.
- 1:30:59[UNKNOWN]: And get your love, like I consider now, that was 20 years ago, the first time I went to India.
- 1:31:04[UNKNOWN]: So I consider my first teacher.
- 1:31:05[UNKNOWN]: His name is Jim.
- 1:31:06[UNKNOWN]: I mentioned him earlier.
- 1:31:09[UNKNOWN]: He doesn't have a lineage.
- 1:31:10[UNKNOWN]: He has a crazy story.
- 1:31:13[UNKNOWN]: He's born in 59 when he was five years old.
- 1:31:16[UNKNOWN]: He watched yoga on PBS and was doing headstands by the time he was seven.
- 1:31:21[UNKNOWN]: Then he hung out with the hippies and took mushrooms when he was like 10 years old.
- 1:31:25[UNKNOWN]: So he has a fascinating story like
- 1:31:28[UNKNOWN]: So these are who I consider, like my root teacher, but then guess you love, I consider my second teacher.
- 1:31:34[UNKNOWN]: And so yeah, I mean, it was, I won't say too much here because, but it's pretty insinuated that guess you're, I was from guess you're was monastery in my past life.
- 1:31:50[UNKNOWN]: So that was the instant connection and why I picked up the material so well.
- 1:31:55[UNKNOWN]: and the blessed, and yeah, again, like the video game.
- 1:31:59[UNKNOWN]: So there was a yearning in my heart for this, you could say.
- 1:32:02[UNKNOWN]: So in my mind, I'm in America, and in my heart, I'm like, I know, and I'm watching the Kung Fu movies with the shower and months, I'm like, this is me, like what about?
- 1:32:11[UNKNOWN]: So all of that, like seeing, I guess seeing it real,
- 1:32:24[UNKNOWN]: You're in their, you're in their render and you're in their video game and crazy things happen.
- 1:32:29[UNKNOWN]: Things that are inexplainable start to happen.
- 1:32:31[UNKNOWN]: You know, Osho has a great quote like, Buddhas don't do miracles like magicians do tricks, right?
- 1:32:37[UNKNOWN]: Buddhas don't do miracles.
- 1:32:39[UNKNOWN]: Miracles happen around Buddhas, but they're not trying to do it, but they're rendering.
- 1:32:43[UNKNOWN]: They're just like in that saying, so I would say that was like the major thing that happened on my first trip to India.
- 1:32:50[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:32:52[UNKNOWN]: I'm very much, I don't know what change, but I connect with that very deeply.
- 1:32:57[UNKNOWN]: From the first moment when we started talking and you explained it, there was some like...
- 1:33:03[UNKNOWN]: energy that was off, and then when you nailed it, just then I'm like, I really, I feel like I get this guy.
- 1:33:10[UNKNOWN]: This guy makes sense to me.
- 1:33:12[UNKNOWN]: Oh, thank you.
- 1:33:13[UNKNOWN]: That's the kind of feeling that we need on our show like this because sometimes you never know what you're going to get, but yeah, this is interesting.
- 1:33:21[UNKNOWN]: I, I wonder sometimes about, you know, the discrepancies between
- 1:33:33[UNKNOWN]: And I've also been drawn to Tibetan Buddhism, but many people
- 1:33:40[UNKNOWN]: aren't even aware that Tibetan Buddhism doesn't happen in Tibet because of the Chinese Communist government and they've been held in India.
- 1:33:49[UNKNOWN]: And because there are, you know, Buddhists in India and because Hinduism is not all that dissimilar from Buddhism, they've had, you know, some protection
- 1:34:06[UNKNOWN]: their day-to-day life as monks.
- 1:34:08[UNKNOWN]: Like is it difficult for them to teach people like yourself and go on, you know, their normal routines and the rituals and practices they would have normally done into bed.
- 1:34:19[UNKNOWN]: Like, has that been changed into a major way since being, you know, exiled and having this
- 1:34:34[UNKNOWN]: Buddhism started in India, thrived for like 1,200 years.
- 1:34:40[UNKNOWN]: Everybody was, but the Hinduism didn't even exist back then.
- 1:34:45[UNKNOWN]: There were different people worshipping things, but there was no interesting.
- 1:34:48[UNKNOWN]: There was the Vedas, there was Vedic.
- 1:34:51[UNKNOWN]: But Buddha, Buddha, United India, Buddha United Asia, China, like the kings and queens of Japan to bet.
- 1:34:59[UNKNOWN]: Everybody will go to India to get one sutra, one sutra, and bring that back.
- 1:35:05[UNKNOWN]: And now you can go online and get thousands of sutras at your fingertips, you know?
- 1:35:11[UNKNOWN]: So it thrived for 1200 years in the London University, bigger than Harvard is now.
- 1:35:18[UNKNOWN]: It was a university dedicated to Buddhism.
- 1:35:20[UNKNOWN]: So so much a history is misunderstood, eventually because everything is impermanent.
- 1:35:26[UNKNOWN]: It's not meant to like, we're not meant to worship India or Indians.
- 1:35:30[UNKNOWN]: That's just the outer display.
- 1:35:32[UNKNOWN]: because it was time for the DARPA to move, the masters at the time knew this was coming to they slowly over, and the masters, some of them reincarnated into Tibet and they didn't have a written language and they start sending people back and forth these bodhisattvas and then India got invaded by the Muslim Turks and completely, they were okay in India with the Christians,
- 1:35:57[UNKNOWN]: And hinders, but they hated Buddhists, because one of the things in Islam is you have to worship the amount of the Essex, so they consider the Buddhist atheists, so they all of Buddhism was basically wiped out of India, almost all of it.
- 1:36:11[UNKNOWN]: Even Hinduism is mostly wiped out, yoga, the only reason we have all of that is because it's a Tibet.
- 1:36:16[UNKNOWN]: It was all brought to Tibet under the king of Tibet.
- 1:36:21[UNKNOWN]: put all his money into getting everything he could.
- 1:36:24[UNKNOWN]: There were masquish, you came at Tisha in the 11th century, you came to Tibet and saw the libraries.
- 1:36:30[UNKNOWN]: He said, I've never seen these times.
- 1:36:32[UNKNOWN]: Like you have books that I've never even seen.
- 1:36:33[UNKNOWN]: This was like the greatest scholar at the time.
- 1:36:36[UNKNOWN]: So Tibet became this place for the next thousand years.
- 1:36:41[UNKNOWN]: And just like India has a rise, it reaches a peak, and then it has a decline.
- 1:36:45[UNKNOWN]: And the internal forces, and again, it's just all meant to be, well, here's a cool thing.
- 1:36:50[UNKNOWN]: So Padme Sambava is considered the Tantric Master who brought these highest teachings to Tibet and tame the demons, the spirits of Tibet, and made Tibet what it is.
- 1:37:03[UNKNOWN]: He prophesized in the 9th century.
- 1:37:12[UNKNOWN]: and snakes of iron cover the earth and there is a web that covers the earth.
- 1:37:21[UNKNOWN]: The Tibetan people will be scattered across the world like ants, and the Dharma will be in the land of the Red people.
- 1:37:29[UNKNOWN]: So this is from the 10th century, this prophecy that the Tibetans are everywhere.
- 1:37:33[UNKNOWN]: They've been scattered, they're in New York, they're in Switzerland, they're in France, and the dorm will be in the land of the Red people.
- 1:37:39[UNKNOWN]: So the Red people in there, in the Tibetans, basically the white people.
- 1:37:44[UNKNOWN]: But you could also say the Red people the Native Americans, right?
- 1:37:47[UNKNOWN]: So the 16th carboppa, so he's considered the head of the coggy school, considered arguably the greatest yogic, tuntric master alive on this end.
- 1:37:57[UNKNOWN]: He came to America.
- 1:37:59[UNKNOWN]: I think it was like the sixties with children trumpa, and he went to the Hobbies.
- 1:38:04[UNKNOWN]: And he conferred the prophecy.
- 1:38:06[UNKNOWN]: He said, it's true.
- 1:38:09[UNKNOWN]: So what I'm getting at is
- 1:38:12[UNKNOWN]: You asked about Tibet and yes, those Tibetans went like good through the guy I'm wearing the bio about, he had to get so much permission from chieftains to go into Tibet.
- 1:38:23[UNKNOWN]: He was one of the first westerners to get into Tibet.
- 1:38:26[UNKNOWN]: It was closed off to foreigners.
- 1:38:28[UNKNOWN]: If you try to sneak in, you would be killed.
- 1:38:31[UNKNOWN]: Like you know the sort of Alexander David Neal, how she dressed up as a man and she went into Tibet, that French woman, have you heard that?
- 1:38:39[UNKNOWN]: Okay, it's a whether it's true.
- 1:38:41[UNKNOWN]: It's kind of like a consternative book.
- 1:38:43[UNKNOWN]: What?
- 1:38:44[UNKNOWN]: Tell me about it.
- 1:38:46[UNKNOWN]: I mean, Alexander David Neil, like she's she's part of Fiasa Fettison, Blavatsky, like she was like part of that whole thing and she supposedly was his French woman who was so obsessed with Tibet that she
- 1:39:01[UNKNOWN]: She just snuck into Tibet dressing up like a man or something, a merchant, and somehow Methi's lollum is an eventually met the 13th Adam.
- 1:39:09[UNKNOWN]: There's a whole bunch of books about her, but this was like the west's, the west's first introduction to like Tibetan Buddhism was like Alex and David Neal that guy, the Tibet book of the dead.
- 1:39:18[UNKNOWN]: So, um, but I bring that up because, uh,
- 1:39:24[UNKNOWN]: nobody was allowed into Tibet and all of the teachings of Ayurveda of the real yoga.
- 1:39:30[UNKNOWN]: Like everything like we know of yoga in the West comes down from three teachers from the 1900 like and they all come really from one teacher like going, that's going, I'm sorry, I end
- 1:39:44[UNKNOWN]: who brought all of what we call yoga.
- 1:39:47[UNKNOWN]: It's completely different from what originally was.
- 1:39:50[UNKNOWN]: And you probably, there's a cool movie, yogis up to that.
- 1:39:53[UNKNOWN]: If you check that out, you could see some crazy stuff.
- 1:39:55[UNKNOWN]: And I could introduce you to a real yogi.
- 1:39:58[UNKNOWN]: He's Italian, but he's different than the real, like the two of them all.
- 1:40:02[UNKNOWN]: And all that kind of stuff, where is what's come to the west is like this obsession with like getting into postures and stuff.
- 1:40:10[UNKNOWN]: But what I'm excited about is again, like this prophecy and just noticing this trend and that is that the Dartmouth thrived in India for a while, for like 1,500, then to bet for 1,000.
- 1:40:24[UNKNOWN]: I'll explain why I'm optimistic too, but I see it coming here, like with all this chaos, all of this stuff that we're seeing in America, like the AI and all this stuff,
- 1:40:39[UNKNOWN]: I really think that there is going to be a rising of serious Dharma, like monasteries popping up, Dharma centers popping up, like the real deal, like stuff.
- 1:40:54[UNKNOWN]: And yeah, yeah, I love that.
- 1:40:57[UNKNOWN]: I feel like I have heard of this 9th century prophecy before, but it's something that I really resonate with.
- 1:41:06[UNKNOWN]: And I would love to speak with your friend who you just mentioned.
- 1:41:10[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:41:10[UNKNOWN]: Absolutely.
- 1:41:11[UNKNOWN]: You're going to love it.
- 1:41:12[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:41:13[UNKNOWN]: There's a movie called When The Iron Bird Flies, and it actually kind of talks about that prophecy.
- 1:41:19[UNKNOWN]: But again, that was made by the boomers, so it's kind of like, and it introduces that idea.
- 1:41:25[UNKNOWN]: cool.
- 1:41:26[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, that's interesting.
- 1:41:28[UNKNOWN]: I feel like there is a bigger picture that Tibetan Buddhism connects to on this fractal level, and they explain so much.
- 1:41:42[UNKNOWN]: So just as a resource for this information, I feel like knowing you and having this introduction is big for the podcast,
- 1:41:54[UNKNOWN]: get into this topic further.
- 1:41:56[UNKNOWN]: You know, it's one of those things that is not easy to find guests to talk about the topic with because many of the experts are not the type of people who would do a podcast, right?
- 1:42:08[UNKNOWN]: So I'm sure you understand how it goes.
- 1:42:11[UNKNOWN]: Sure.
- 1:42:12[UNKNOWN]: No, I appreciate that's exactly what I was hoping to achieve today.
- 1:42:15[UNKNOWN]: So I really appreciate that.
- 1:42:16[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, no, absolutely.
- 1:42:19[UNKNOWN]: I can think of a couple of guests that are in the same resonance and maybe we even schedule a group episode and get like a topic we can all chime in on, but yeah, it's really, it's something that I think is important, especially considering how
- 1:42:39[UNKNOWN]: Overconsumption is affecting our country, you know, people are more disconnected than ever, as you touched on.
- 1:42:47[UNKNOWN]: I mean, this understanding of reality has completely, and I'm by no means a Tibetan Buddhist, but as you are going through a lot of what you're saying,
- 1:42:59[UNKNOWN]: in the first hour of our conversation, I'm kind of taking it all, it's like, yeah, I know this.
- 1:43:04[UNKNOWN]: I know this is maybe taking it for granted to large extent on my own part because of how comfortable I was just being like, yeah, I know about this already.
- 1:43:16[UNKNOWN]: But in a sense, I feel like that's what I bring to this podcast is what I've learned from
- 1:43:24[UNKNOWN]: You know, everything I've read and the things from Buddhism tend to stick to the hardest.
- 1:43:28[UNKNOWN]: I mean, if you know anything about my personal background, like martial arts and Bruce Lee, he was an inspiration for me.
- 1:43:37[UNKNOWN]: So yeah, it's in the foundation of how I view the world.
- 1:43:41[UNKNOWN]: So I think part of me, you know, takes it for granted when it comes to the 101 type stuff.
- 1:43:48[UNKNOWN]: it's hard to like put myself there to ask like an original question about something that I've understood for a while, but you really got my brain jogging when you started talking about the map of the sort of Mount Meru and how that all connects.
- 1:44:08[UNKNOWN]: I think part of this for me, I learned about a lot of this stuff from a book called The Secret History of the World
- 1:44:19[UNKNOWN]: isn't by any means it's a Tibetan Buddhist book, but he does touch on a lot of themes from Tibetan Buddhism in that book.
- 1:44:28[UNKNOWN]: It connects it to how other religions portray similar ideas.
- 1:44:33[UNKNOWN]: That's kind of the point of the book is to just show that there's actually a pretty common throughline narrative with all the world's religions.
- 1:44:42[UNKNOWN]: you know, aside from some minor cultural differences and some perspective differences and perspectives on certain events, like we for the most part have the same beliefs, you know, all all be it.
- 1:44:56[UNKNOWN]: There are some political warping that has gone on to a very large extent here in the Kali Yuga, but despite that, the truth resonates, you know, and
- 1:45:08[UNKNOWN]: You feel in your heart, when you watch a movie like the Matrix, there's just this sense that I'm more than just like this random occurrence on a random rock, you know?
- 1:45:21[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, I think there's something to it with Tibetan Buddhism and you mentioned how it was for the most part.
- 1:45:29[UNKNOWN]: you know isolated from the rest of the world.
- 1:45:31[UNKNOWN]: In this time period that we talk about on the podcast where things were heavily manipulated and politicized.
- 1:45:39[UNKNOWN]: It's like it was stored away like what do you call the like a time capsule in a sense and then allowed to be you know reemerged at a point where maybe people had
- 1:45:50[UNKNOWN]: more access to information at a wider level, right?
- 1:45:53[UNKNOWN]: Like the hippies, they didn't really use the information to very productive degree, but they were like, oh, actually drugs aren't that bad.
- 1:46:01[UNKNOWN]: And the other world's cultures aren't all that bad.
- 1:46:05[UNKNOWN]: Like, you know, it was kind of a lot all at once.
- 1:46:08[UNKNOWN]: And then going, make, you know, the most of it, but, you know, God bless the boomers for bringing it all to us, you know, and that's a good.
- 1:46:17[UNKNOWN]: Exactly, like everything is part of the story.
- 1:46:19[UNKNOWN]: It's easy to bash them, you know, but like you're right every that how to happen for this to happen.
- 1:46:24[UNKNOWN]: Everything is if that's the whole idea of the video game and it's just like play, you know, I dance a lot like, you know, it's like we're supposed to be playing, you know, because again, like if you think about it as if I'm if I'm joyful,
- 1:46:39[UNKNOWN]: It's not just that I'm joyful.
- 1:46:41[UNKNOWN]: If I'm rendering this, then other people that are actually bringing more joy into the video game into the collective.
- 1:46:48[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, so some of the sense in spiritual communities sacrifice and no, like we didn't touch on time for that would be a great another topic, but like,
- 1:46:57[UNKNOWN]: It's something I've queued up in my head like multiple times.
- 1:47:01[UNKNOWN]: Let's talk about that because, and we do still have some time, but we could definitely dedicate a full episode to it if you'd like, but just briefly, you know, I think the word, tantra,
- 1:47:16[UNKNOWN]: And then the word sex, right?
- 1:47:18[UNKNOWN]: Like there is the average this cultural and that's, you know, sociology 101 like this thing, it tends to happen that way.
- 1:47:26[UNKNOWN]: And, you know, psychologists know it can be used or weaponized, right?
- 1:47:31[UNKNOWN]: Like I was just on the different cast talking about how rhymes are used in advertisement to like trick you and being something's normal, right?
- 1:47:41[UNKNOWN]: And so yeah,
- 1:47:43[UNKNOWN]: This psychology of it is like, there's this association.
- 1:47:46[UNKNOWN]: So what is Tantra beyond maybe what most people presume it is?
- 1:47:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, great.
- 1:47:55[UNKNOWN]: You can say in a short sense, like it's like an experiential approach to the Dharma.
- 1:48:00[UNKNOWN]: You know, and I see this, the complementary.
- 1:48:03[UNKNOWN]: So you do want to do the, you do want to have the conceptual study.
- 1:48:17[UNKNOWN]: You're trying to break, like, okay, so you're trying to, this two parts, the first part is you're trying to break your sense of normalcy, like I'm just Jason, we're all divine.
- 1:48:35[UNKNOWN]: So you're maintaining this idea, you visualize yourself as first emptying, and you cultivate the compassion for all beings, but then you cultivate yourself as a deity, sometimes with multiple arms, it's not literal, you're not like summoning and unshabbling is all to practice, and you're visualizing all these other beings, the people your neighbor, the people who you hate, you're trying to maintain this fact that they're divine.
- 1:49:01[UNKNOWN]: until the point where you feel almost like you see it.
- 1:49:04[UNKNOWN]: And you're studying the symbolism and the archetype.
- 1:49:06[UNKNOWN]: So that's the first part of Tansha.
- 1:49:09[UNKNOWN]: The second part is where most people start to get interested.
- 1:49:13[UNKNOWN]: And that's the visceral side of it.
- 1:49:16[UNKNOWN]: This is the part where you're using the libido.
- 1:49:20[UNKNOWN]: You're using not just the libido, but all of the somatic,
- 1:49:26[UNKNOWN]: parts.
- 1:49:26[UNKNOWN]: So you have like, you know, you have what's called the wins.
- 1:49:29[UNKNOWN]: They're treated, so if you're traditionally called it wins, the the prana's, right?
- 1:49:33[UNKNOWN]: It's really like motilities.
- 1:49:34[UNKNOWN]: You have these movements.
- 1:49:37[UNKNOWN]: And basically when you're obsessing on other,
- 1:49:45[UNKNOWN]: or self, it's going to constrict this video game.
- 1:49:48[UNKNOWN]: Cause remember in the video game, you're part of the game, but once you take yourself out, it actually constricts the way these channels go through your shoppers and again, the shoppers system, like the one that we have with the seven shoppers, that's again, that's the Asafi.
- 1:50:02[UNKNOWN]: That's not the original shoppers system.
- 1:50:04[UNKNOWN]: There's four.
- 1:50:05[UNKNOWN]: Farhead, throat, heart, and navel, and sometimes there's a secret shopper, but the idea is that you're trying to,
- 1:50:15[UNKNOWN]: When you're in this natural state, we think of a child, like there's just so full of energy, right?
- 1:50:20[UNKNOWN]: Because their energy is staying in that central channel.
- 1:50:23[UNKNOWN]: They haven't learned to obsess over others or obsess over themselves.
- 1:50:28[UNKNOWN]: So through these practices, two mole is where you're learning to using your breath to bring these motilities into the central channel, which is not a physical channel.
- 1:50:45[UNKNOWN]: that that that we're able to focus on and it's very blissful and it goes up and down.
- 1:50:52[UNKNOWN]: So you can do it on your own, but you can do it even faster if you find a partner and you're not looking to you're not focusing on orgasm.
- 1:51:06[UNKNOWN]: That's the key because it's very pleasurable for
- 1:51:12[UNKNOWN]: The orgasm is also pleasurable, but if you stop thinking about the orgasm part and focus on just the sensation, and there's techniques and all that kind of stuff, but if it's learning to stop trying to orgasm and like shoot out, ejaculate,
- 1:51:28[UNKNOWN]: And then energy, as you're able to sustain more and more bliss, pleasure, the energy will start to rise into your navel, then you're heart, then you're throat, then you're crown, and when you see a Buddha with the bump on his head, that's a symbol that the energy is brought fully up.
- 1:51:46[UNKNOWN]: And that's the equivalent of 100,000 orgasms, and that's the normal state for a Buddha.
- 1:51:51[UNKNOWN]: But, but the idea is like, again, we're in a materialistic collieuga in my view.
- 1:51:57[UNKNOWN]: all these people with seamen retention, they're taking it literal.
- 1:52:00[UNKNOWN]: It's not about it's not about the material seamage being able to be with a partner and be so involved in the pleasure and like again we have mirrored neurons.
- 1:52:13[UNKNOWN]: So you're making eye contact.
- 1:52:14[UNKNOWN]: You're seeing her pleasure, she's seeing your pleasure and this is just
- 1:52:18[UNKNOWN]: escalating and and it takes training because again for most people the second they get aroused they want to have an orgasm so it's training to not do that and what will happen is when it goes from like the navel to the heart like people of most people of experiences.
- 1:52:37[UNKNOWN]: what happens when it gets to the heart, it turns into love.
- 1:52:39[UNKNOWN]: Like you fall in love with somebody, right?
- 1:52:42[UNKNOWN]: Because when you really into somebody, you don't want to, or you guys be so quickly.
- 1:52:48[UNKNOWN]: You just want to be so connected with that.
- 1:52:51[UNKNOWN]: Problem is, most people, when they get to that point, when it gets up to the heart, they're like, I love you.
- 1:52:56[UNKNOWN]: And they think that that partner is the source of that love.
- 1:53:00[UNKNOWN]: Instead of realizing it's just the experience of their own energies rising up.
- 1:53:06[UNKNOWN]: Now, if you can maintain, now you can have a contract experience with somebody, just to, you know, as friends, like, we're going to bring this up, and we're going to do it, or you can maintain a relationship that way as well.
- 1:53:20[UNKNOWN]: Like I said, there were people who would do three-year retreats.
- 1:53:23[UNKNOWN]: Pod me some Boba went into a cave with a woman for three years and they were doing this maintaining this practice.
- 1:53:29[UNKNOWN]: But the idea is that when you,
- 1:53:36[UNKNOWN]: When you let go of that self and other grasping, you're in that natural state of bliss.
- 1:53:42[UNKNOWN]: So karma, the sexual crisis is called karma, moodra, action, seal.
- 1:53:47[UNKNOWN]: I'll explain that at the time.
- 1:53:50[UNKNOWN]: It's mahalamudra is the goal.
- 1:53:52[UNKNOWN]: So basically, the idea is we're so,
- 1:53:56[UNKNOWN]: distorted from our natural state of bliss that that that that when we able to have really good love making we can bring that state about and that eventually we don't get every time we do we we loosen up those knots
- 1:54:15[UNKNOWN]: And then after a while, you can keep them open.
- 1:54:18[UNKNOWN]: And that's when you achieve the Mahamudra.
- 1:54:20[UNKNOWN]: So that's the goal.
- 1:54:21[UNKNOWN]: So it's like, in other words, it's not just like, OK, you have this image of this person who's study Buddhism went off and meditated.
- 1:54:30[UNKNOWN]: This is actually working with the libido to really speed up the process.
- 1:54:36[UNKNOWN]: And it's also practicing for death, because
- 1:54:41[UNKNOWN]: Believe it or not, when you die, it's actually like a huge orgasm.
- 1:54:45[UNKNOWN]: Like death is like, like Rom does it.
- 1:54:47[UNKNOWN]: Like death is like taking off a tight shoe, you know?
- 1:54:50[UNKNOWN]: So it's like, it is a release, but most people, when they die, they can't handle that level of freedom and bliss.
- 1:54:58[UNKNOWN]: So they rush back into a body.
- 1:55:00[UNKNOWN]: They want to run right back into a body where it's practicing, experiencing that is kind of the goal.
- 1:55:05[UNKNOWN]: So yeah.
- 1:55:08[UNKNOWN]: And I'll encyclet Dalix and Lucid Dreaming, Dream Yoga.
- 1:55:12[UNKNOWN]: All of that included under Vajrayana Buddhism, right?
- 1:55:17[UNKNOWN]: So a lot to unpack there definitely a topic for another day, but for the audience listening now wants to follow up with you, uh, you have a website that is your name, Jason Demchock.com, and then your Instagram is Jason.
- 1:55:36[UNKNOWN]: Demchock, is there any other places you'd like to direct the audience?
- 1:55:41[UNKNOWN]: I mean, I'm really trying to get like the YouTube channel going.
- 1:55:44[UNKNOWN]: I do have stuff, but yeah, it's also Jason Demchuk and LinkedIn.
- 1:55:51[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, I want everything is Jason Demchuk.
- 1:55:53[UNKNOWN]: But no, yeah, definitely hit me up on Instagram.
- 1:55:55[UNKNOWN]: I'm definitely like it's like I said today was an initiation.
- 1:55:58[UNKNOWN]: So thank you
- 1:56:00[UNKNOWN]: Like I see this as the first of like trying to present this material to you know this community.
- 1:56:08[UNKNOWN]: Well, I love to hear that and I encourage you to get out there and do more shows and continue to talk about this because yeah, I think.
- 1:56:19[UNKNOWN]: Most people would be surprised to find out how deep Tibetan Buddhism in Buddhism in general connects with a lot of things that we talk about in the conspiracy community.
- 1:56:31[UNKNOWN]: A lot of people just take it for granted or just take it as meditation, right?
- 1:56:37[UNKNOWN]: Exactly.
- 1:56:38[UNKNOWN]: Just being pacifist.
- 1:56:40[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 1:56:40[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, and I just want to say too, like,
- 1:56:43[UNKNOWN]: I did the best I could, but I don't want people to think, like any mistakes in what I said, it's my fault, not my teacher.
- 1:56:52[UNKNOWN]: And you're not going to regret it.
- 1:56:54[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, you're not a full representative for everything.
- 1:56:58[UNKNOWN]: You know, why you're just here to talk about something interested in.
- 1:57:02[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, don't worry about that.
- 1:57:04[UNKNOWN]: Anyone who would make that conclusion or draw that conclusion is, is already, you know,
- 1:57:11[UNKNOWN]: in an illusion.
- 1:57:12[UNKNOWN]: So I appreciate that.
- 1:57:14[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, don't worry about it, Jason.
- 1:57:15[UNKNOWN]: Thank you for joining me.
- 1:57:17[UNKNOWN]: And as I always say to wrap these episodes up, thank you for tuning in and immerse yourself in the moment wherever you are in the now.
- 1:57:44[UNKNOWN]: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in to this conversation with Jason Demchark, the message me on Instagram, and we made this conversation happen.
- 1:57:53[UNKNOWN]: I thought it was very interesting, and I looked forward to the spiritual adapts that he is going to put me in touch with.
- 1:58:02[UNKNOWN]: We can continue the conversations onward.
- 1:58:07[UNKNOWN]: But anyhow, this has been fantastic episode.
- 1:58:11[UNKNOWN]: I've got two more recorded and on the way for October and you know I've made a lot of ambitious statements in the past.
- 1:58:20[UNKNOWN]: I've made a lot of uncapt promises that October.
- 1:58:23[UNKNOWN]: This is Libra month on the Libra.
- 1:58:26[UNKNOWN]: I've heard these coming up and turned into 32.
- 1:58:30[UNKNOWN]: We're getting back in the swing of things.
- 1:58:32[UNKNOWN]: I feel it.
- 1:58:33[UNKNOWN]: Tell your friends about the podcast, tell them to listen, share your favorite episode, and let's keep this train moving, follow me on Instagram, and my family thinks I'm crazy, and that's that, folks.
- 1:58:44[UNKNOWN]: Till next episode, I'm gonna share something in the moment, wherever you are, and then now.
