- 0:00Speaker 1: We just did War of the Roses, and I want
- 0:01Speaker 1: to explain something that happened behind the scenes that some
- 0:03Speaker 1: of you guys know about, some of you don't know about. Okay?
- 0:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:07Speaker 1: So we're doing War of the Roses, and I started
- 0:11Speaker 1: doing something a couple weeks ago on my own because
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm all into longevity. Yes, you like the biohacking life.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I like the biohacking life. I saw this thing with
- 0:19Speaker 1: Andrew Huberman. He was talking about sometimes when you can't sleep,
- 0:22Speaker 1: there's certain things you can do when you lay in bed.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And then it's like to move your eyes as far
- 0:26Speaker 1: to the right as you can, as far to the
- 0:28Speaker 1: left as you can. And then in circles and then
- 0:31Speaker 1: cross your eyes. And it's supposed to help your eyes
- 0:33Speaker 1: relax so you can go to sleep. Well, I saw
- 0:35Speaker 1: this other thing where they do this thing, this Japanese culture.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And I learned about it about three weeks ago. And
- 0:40Speaker 1: I do it now all the time when I got
- 0:44Speaker 1: nothing going on. I look at what I'm thinking. And Kyle,
- 0:47Speaker 1: you kind of caught me doing it. What was I doing?
- 0:51Speaker 1: You do that weird thing with your mouth? What was
- 0:53Speaker 1: I doing? You were like having your mouth.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Kind of like your tongue sort of singing like.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Close, close. So what they say they do in Japanese,
- 1:00Speaker 1: in Japan, is you stick your tongue out like this
- 1:03Speaker 1: for like... It's like exercise. Like push it with your tongue.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You go like this. Like a lizard. But longer. Like
- 1:10Speaker 1: you hold it out for like lizards. You're like... Like
- 1:13Speaker 1: you're like... I've seen that on TV. So you pull it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You stretch your tongue out so you feel it being
- 1:17Speaker 1: pulled right here. So you're like... Ow. Yeah, but I've
- 1:21Speaker 1: been doing it a lot lately, and I like it.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It looks strange. It does. I did it. I was
- 1:25Speaker 1: on the treadmill this morning, and there's a mirror in
- 1:26Speaker 1: front of me. I do it on the treadmill all
- 1:28Speaker 1: the time, and I stare at myself. I thought you
- 1:30Speaker 1: were talking about the thing you do with your eyes.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You have a very pointy tongue.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I think I'm getting stronger. I think we used to
- 1:38Speaker 1: not be pointy. Look at your little tongue. You have
- 1:40Speaker 1: a pointy one, too. Oh, and you stick it out
- 1:42Speaker 1: that way. Oh, my gosh, your tongue's so little. You're
- 1:47Speaker 1: not doing it. That's not how you do it. You're
- 1:50Speaker 1: doing it wrong. How do we do it? You're sticking
- 1:51Speaker 1: your tongue out like you do with someone making a face. No.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Keep your mouth open. Now stick your tongue out.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Straight out.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I don't like that. Straight out. Not down. Straight out. Father,
- 2:02Speaker 1: did I make a weird noise? No, I did not.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I stick your tongue out. It's hard not to make
- 2:09Speaker 1: a noise. You guys are weird. No. Open your mouth.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Stick your tongue out straight. No, you're curving it. You're
- 2:15Speaker 1: curving it. Straight. Straight. I can't. And then do it
- 2:19Speaker 1: like 10 times. It's weird. I don't like it. Do
- 2:25Speaker 1: it again. Do it again. Now you're doing it like girls.
- 2:29Speaker 1: When you do it fast, it's hard to keep it straight.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Straight.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's stupid. What is it supposed to do again? It's
- 2:36Speaker 1: make you live a long time.
- 2:37Speaker 3: It is?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Like what's the logic behind it? You got to do
- 2:40Speaker 1: it right. Not like this. Okay.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Is there some sort of connection between a strong tongue
- 2:48Speaker 2: and a long life?
- 2:49Speaker 1: I just read the headline and kept going.
- 2:54Speaker 3: I don't know if I Googled it. Google it. I've
- 3:01Speaker 3: been doing it for like three weeks and I feel
- 3:03Speaker 3: like my tongue got stronger. Like when you say the
- 3:06Speaker 3: point is pointy, I think that's the muscles in my tongue.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You could lick the out of an ice cream cone. Yeah. Oh,
- 3:11Speaker 1: I was doing a break on the air. This whole
- 3:14Speaker 1: thing was on the air. I might bleep Rich out now. Sorry.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I thought you were just talking. No. Oh, yes. Okay.
- 3:22Speaker 1: What's it say?
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's the AIUB exercise.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:26Speaker 2: It is a popular Japanese oral and facial workout created
- 3:30Speaker 2: by Dr. Takashi Imai to strengthen tongue and throat muscles,
- 3:35Speaker 2: reduce mouth breathing, and lower aspiration risks that can affect
- 3:39Speaker 2: health later on in life.
- 3:40Speaker 1: See? That's what I've been doing.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It improves swallowing, reduces aspiration pneumonia, encourages nasal breathing.
- 3:48Speaker 1: See? I've been doing all that. Now you guys can
- 3:50Speaker 1: do it too. Thanks for that. Whenever you got nothing
- 3:53Speaker 1: going on, just stick your tongue on. Do some tongue-ups.
- 3:55Speaker 1: All right. Okay. That's how you live long. Thank you,
- 3:58Speaker 1: John Jay. You're welcome.
