- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I am Dr.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Christopher Kevin Slate, aka The Brain Talker, Dr.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Slate Live.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Now we're talking about the crisis itself.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: We're gonna keep talking about the crisis itself because healing time cannot happen by itself.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: So what we're talking about is an effective strategy.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: You have a state of mind, and that state of mind is the way you respond to contact.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: And you can't help yourself because you're locked into a behavior pattern.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: So that's what we're talking about.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: So when we talk about the crisis self, that sense and receive path disconnect.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Bam! Welcome to the Brain's Body Podcast, where the brain talks back.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I'm your host, Dr.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Christopher K.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Slayton, and today we're going deeper into the crisis of self.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Today we're continuing the dialogue on healing the crisis of self through brain, body, and sense messaging and why that dialogue matters to how you live, feel, and respond.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Let's start with this.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: The brain is the information processing system of the body.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: In human system science, the brain is the neural feed, the body is the environmental feed, and the senses are the neural, environmental, physiological feed.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: When the brain is in the lead of the body, you can feel how your senses transfer information.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: In the brain's body learning systems, the brain wears the body as a sign of cognitive processing, physical discipline, and focused action.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: But when the body is in the lead of the brain, you cannot sense and feel the transfer of information in the same way because you are in a state of mind, a static mood state that interrupts the flow.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: That is what I call the crisis of self, when the sense path does not cooperate with the received path in the transfer of memory and emotion from the experience of your environmental self to your neural self.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: In that condition, the body wears the states of your mind.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: And those states can show up as fear, anger, and anxiety when you do not want to feel the brain and body connections to thought, reflection, and insight.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: In other words, the process cycles memory and emotion through environmental influences, whether that influence is another person, an object, or an event.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Frustration is a sign of confusion.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Disappointment is a sign of awareness.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Hostility is a sign of internal disagreement.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: This is more than theory.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: It is a conversation about how the brain responds when the self is in crisis.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: The receive path sends thought with reflection forward as neural feed.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: If you are ready to go deeper, join me on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, for Introduction to Human Systems Science, How the Brain Talks Back.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: You will learn how to change negative states of mind that affect how you sense mental health and receive self awareness.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Thank you for listening.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Bam! Here we go.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Subscribe.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Do it now.
