- 1:30Speaker 1: that song. That's a classic. It's a sting joint Englishman.
- 1:34Speaker 2: In New York, and I'm gonna have to hear the
- 1:36Speaker 2: real song.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the real song. No, I mean not you, Yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I get you all right. Well, anyway, I'm always joined.

- 1:58Speaker 2: Dark Chocolate Phoenix, Little Mermaid, Trash Cash, Them and the
- 2:03Speaker 2: Ting of the North.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Just realized neither of us had any real Deadpool related akas.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was trying to come up with one real quick,
- 2:12Speaker 1: but I didn't. But we didn't have any Deadpool related akas.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But as you've read by the title now seen the thumbnail,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you already know that this is the full on spoilery,
- 2:24Speaker 1: full review, full full spoilers, as if there was much
- 2:29Speaker 1: plot to spoil of Deadpool and Wolverine now in theaters
- 2:35Speaker 1: have been out two weeks. I think made a bluecool
- 2:37Speaker 1: amount of money the first week. Not really sure how
- 2:39Speaker 1: this is the second weekend? Oh yeah, second week, get
- 2:41Speaker 1: hammered on something too. It's still number one.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah, came up. This is second two week two.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and it beats something out for a number for
- 2:49Speaker 1: a second week too, so it's still number one, all right.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It says it's heading towards a one billion box office
- 2:54Speaker 2: by weekend three, so we're going actually going towards weekend three.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but we do that. I just didn't know the
- 3:01Speaker 1: billion was coming that quickly.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they said right now is about eight hundred and
- 3:04Speaker 2: fifty million. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, stupid, stupid,
- 3:11Speaker 2: does I guess the only thing that is it's that
- 3:13Speaker 2: has been beating everything is Inside Out too, that's already
- 3:17Speaker 2: made over a billion.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So I've seen that.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That's going crazy. It's amazing. It's amazing. Inside Out two
- 3:23Speaker 2: is one point five five.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I still haven't seen I honestly don't know if
- 3:28Speaker 1: I've seen Inside Out all the way through. I've read
- 3:30Speaker 1: it and I was so like blown away by the
- 3:34Speaker 1: script fit. Yeah, it's one of the things that I
- 3:37Speaker 1: saw in my head as I read it, and I
- 3:38Speaker 1: think I've seen most of it since then, but I've
- 3:41Speaker 1: read it. Yeah, you know, once you read it, you
- 3:43Speaker 1: don't need to It's it's a it's you know, it's
- 3:45Speaker 1: like reading any good script. If it's if it's that good,
- 3:48Speaker 1: you see the movie.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I understand the respect on that. I also say to
- 3:52Speaker 2: watch it because I'm going to.
- 3:53Speaker 1: See the second one, the animation. I know, yeah, i'll
- 3:56Speaker 1: see the second one because I haven't had a chance
- 3:58Speaker 1: to read that. But I've read it and see enough
- 4:00Speaker 1: for the first one where I'm good like i've seen it.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You know, I've seen most of the movie. I just
- 4:04Speaker 1: haven't seen it all the way through. I don't think
- 4:07Speaker 1: m hm, what I have seen all the way through
- 4:11Speaker 1: is uh Deadpool and Wolverine. I got to see it
- 4:14Speaker 1: early at a streaming with a bunch of critics. I
- 4:18Speaker 1: think that affected my general first views. Like we said, though,
- 4:22Speaker 1: this is the spoiler field review, so we're gonna talk
- 4:25Speaker 1: about everything. If you haven't seen it, you probably want
- 4:27Speaker 1: to wait and watch this later because I'm gonna go
- 4:29Speaker 1: all the way in. When I first came out, my
- 4:32Speaker 1: first reaction was like, this was my favorite of the three,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and I think that was due to me being in
- 4:38Speaker 1: a theater full of people who were super hype. We
- 4:40Speaker 1: were all super hype. You know. It was a good,
- 4:43Speaker 1: solid movie overall, the jokes for funny. I still stand
- 4:46Speaker 1: by at I think, you know, the humor is there.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I think Ryan Reynolds is pretty much born to play Deadpool,
- 4:51Speaker 1: just like Hugh Jackman's born to play Wolverine. Absolutely, And
- 4:56Speaker 1: the longer I've sat with it, and then I got
- 4:59Speaker 1: to see it again and I was like, it's a
- 5:02Speaker 1: big bag of nothing, like it's it's it's. Ryan Reynolds
- 5:07Speaker 1: even said this earlier. He tweeted, it's something about like
- 5:09Speaker 1: this movie is inconsequential. It means nothing. You know, it's
- 5:12Speaker 1: a summer popcorn film. But I feel even on that level,
- 5:16Speaker 1: it's like Independence Day two and not Independence Day.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Oh wait, we're not going to disrespect Independence Day talking
- 5:26Speaker 2: about it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I said Independence Day too, you can.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But Independent Day two doesn't even touch the hem of
- 5:32Speaker 2: the garment of Independence Day.
- 5:34Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. And I don't feel like this touches
- 5:36Speaker 1: the hem of the gard like I feel like this.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I feel like this has a lot of like flash
- 5:42Speaker 1: and no substance.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Okay, so I will start the same way you started.
- 5:49Speaker 2: So I did not go to the screening because I
- 5:52Speaker 2: was actually out of town on a family reunion. So
- 5:54Speaker 2: when I actually watched I watched it with the general audience,
- 5:57Speaker 2: so I actually bought a ticket. I accidentally bought three
- 6:00Speaker 2: D version of it. I was mad about that because
- 6:02Speaker 2: I don't give a fuck about the three D and
- 6:05Speaker 2: I won't say really enhanced experience. Either didn't make it worse,
- 6:08Speaker 2: but also didn't enhance it. So if you were thinking
- 6:10Speaker 2: about three D, don't save the money. That said, I
- 6:15Speaker 2: didn't go in with critics. I went in with regular
- 6:18Speaker 2: regular people. Moms with they kids, you know, a little
- 6:22Speaker 2: older type kids, not like little kids, but not with
- 6:24Speaker 2: day kids, Families, friends, you know, like literally the entire
- 6:29Speaker 2: spectrum of people you could think of. And I think
- 6:33Speaker 2: that was interesting because that is a reflection of what
- 6:35Speaker 2: is doing at the MOX office right now. Anybody, and
- 6:39Speaker 2: anyone save for your moms that don't like cussing in
- 6:43Speaker 2: all the other stuff, anybody wanted to see this. Everybody
- 6:47Speaker 2: who was just in any demographic pretty much was interested
- 6:50Speaker 2: in this film in some way, shape or form. So
- 6:53Speaker 2: I took that that was one takeaway from that, and
- 6:55Speaker 2: then as far as my overall thoughts about it, while
- 6:58Speaker 2: I do agree and I'm glad even Ryan said, but
- 7:01Speaker 2: Ryan's not an idiot, right He knows what it is,
- 7:03Speaker 2: and much like his character, he's gonna break the fourth
- 7:08Speaker 2: wall of the fifth wall at this point and say
- 7:10Speaker 2: what it is that. I know this movie is just
- 7:12Speaker 2: here to pay my mortgage. I know it's just a
- 7:16Speaker 2: literally it's a cameo fest, and that's the only point
- 7:19Speaker 2: of it. In terms of being absolutely a bag of nothing.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I slightly disagree. I think it's a good sandbox. By sandbox,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I mean for people who program, for example, there is
- 7:36Speaker 2: a production environment and a sandbox environment. The sandbox environment
- 7:40Speaker 2: allows you to test and do pretty much anything without
- 7:44Speaker 2: with knowing that you're not gonna hurt the real system.
- 7:47Speaker 2: You're not gonna hurt the system that people you and
- 7:48Speaker 2: I will end up using. Right, you can experiment, you
- 7:51Speaker 2: can make changes, you can do whatever the fuck you
- 7:53Speaker 2: want to do, knowing that you're not gonna disrupt, in
- 7:56Speaker 2: this case, a sacred timeline. Right, you're not gonna disrupt anything.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You can do what you to do in order to
- 8:01Speaker 2: play around it and possibly make something better. Right. And
- 8:05Speaker 2: I think where I viewed Deadpool this way as a
- 8:08Speaker 2: almost a Marvel sandbox where they're gonna where they could
- 8:11Speaker 2: also besides just waste time and and make billions. You
- 8:15Speaker 2: can also do that to test ideas and to test
- 8:19Speaker 2: approaches and to test reactions from the audience as well
- 8:26Speaker 2: to varying degrees of success or failure. What I have you,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I took it that way, and the reason why is
- 8:33Speaker 2: because I felt Deadpool had glimmers of a lot of
- 8:37Speaker 2: good ideas, but it was all wrapped in this shit
- 8:41Speaker 2: don't matter, this is a joke, so on and so forth.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So you're saying that this is the beta version of
- 8:47Speaker 1: a movie.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Basically, it's I think in a way it's a it's
- 8:51Speaker 2: it's both the real Deadpool movie, because that's what Deadpool is, right.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Deadpool is all this random bag of everything and nothing right.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And it could also be a big attesting ground because
- 9:01Speaker 2: they were doing shit and saying shit in this movie
- 9:03Speaker 2: that they would never do or say. In a quote
- 9:06Speaker 2: mainstream Marvel movie m.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I was reading this article about Kanye's latest album, Vultures Too,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and they were like, this is how he can fix it,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you know, And then like, you know, Kanye has been
- 9:25Speaker 1: you know, fixing all these albums since you know, the
- 9:28Speaker 1: Life of Parablo.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She's fixing it over it over, And I'm like, but
- 9:31Speaker 2: then all.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Those albums since the Life of Poplo have been terrible,
- 9:33Speaker 1: like but.
- 9:34Speaker 2: That approach is just it's an unfinished product that you're
- 9:37Speaker 2: constantly iterating while it's still out. You're not in the sandbox,
- 9:40Speaker 2: you're in production. You're literally changing the shit that I'm using.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I'm on his website and the fucking pictures are moving
- 9:47Speaker 2: as I'm trying to click on them. That's not what's
- 9:49Speaker 2: necessarily happening here. This is a mutable space that what's happened,
- 9:54Speaker 2: what's happened? And really, I think I have mentioned this
- 9:55Speaker 2: why I mentioned to somebody else I said, the movie
- 9:58Speaker 2: ended where it started. Yeah, there were no nothing happened
- 10:03Speaker 2: at the end of the day. Nothing happened, nothing changed, nothing,
- 10:07Speaker 2: everything stayed the same. Nothing was real. The other reason
- 10:11Speaker 2: just about me calling it a sandbox area is the
- 10:14Speaker 2: fact that they threw in so many different characters and
- 10:20Speaker 2: calls and egg Easter eggs and things like that that
- 10:23Speaker 2: not only would you not necessarily find in other movies,
- 10:25Speaker 2: but they knew that if they threw it in another movies,
- 10:28Speaker 2: it would fuck up everything else. There's no way you
- 10:30Speaker 2: can put Cassandra Nova in the regular fucking timeline and
- 10:35Speaker 2: then show and then show her op in that way
- 10:38Speaker 2: and think everything's gonna be good. Like we complain a
- 10:42Speaker 2: lot about when they put in overpowered characters but then
- 10:47Speaker 2: nerf them. Right, Cassandra is beyond what based on how
- 10:53Speaker 2: they portrayed her. Cassandra is beyond a lot of the
- 10:56Speaker 2: other different quote villains that you've seen, And it's just
- 10:58Speaker 2: like what would stop her, like if you forget Deadpool,
- 11:02Speaker 2: what would generally stop her? Right, That's why they came
- 11:04Speaker 2: up with this mcguffin with this machine and the machine
- 11:07Speaker 2: destroyed because they like they couldn't keep her alive.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Yeah, but I had to just argue and say, that's
- 11:13Speaker 1: just a waste of Cassandra Nova and the character I'm saying,
- 11:17Speaker 1: that's what they did. Yeah, and that's what I'll say.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That's why I just I think where it's like, no,
- 11:23Speaker 1: you could have had Cassandran Nova in a movie just
- 11:26Speaker 1: like you had like one For people who don't know
- 11:28Speaker 1: the comics from Santrun, Nova is Professor X's evil twin sister,
- 11:32Speaker 1: and she is opied in the comics as well. She's
- 11:36Speaker 1: like unnaturally powerful. She just it never even really explained
- 11:40Speaker 1: how she does the thing she does. It's just she
- 11:42Speaker 1: didn't just do pretty much whatever she needed to do
- 11:45Speaker 1: in an instance.
- 11:46Speaker 2: And that fits Deadpool like this means anything nothing, see that,
- 11:49Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 11:50Speaker 1: But in the comments it wasn't everything and nothing. That's
- 11:52Speaker 1: why it's like Cassandra doesn't fit Deadpool. You know, Cassandra
- 11:56Speaker 1: fits the X Men and Professor X being there, so
- 11:59Speaker 1: there can be this battle and a philosophical thing and
- 12:02Speaker 1: it can end in the way that it possibly ended
- 12:04Speaker 1: in the comics, where they do use things to defeat
- 12:07Speaker 1: her in the comics.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and the way that they've done the MCU thus far.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Do you think she fits.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like the same way that like you you
- 12:16Speaker 1: Fanos in with the Infinity on it. She's not Thano's
- 12:19Speaker 1: level powerful one. You know, she's powerful up to a
- 12:22Speaker 1: range of space. She can't like change the universe like Thanos.
- 12:26Speaker 2: But Dano's does that by way of the Stones, not
- 12:28Speaker 2: by the way of his.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Personal personally can't do that no matter what. So she's
- 12:34Speaker 1: not that powerful. She's powerful to Deadpool because he's Deadpool,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But on a scale of
- 12:41Speaker 1: fighting the X Men, where a bunch of other will
- 12:43Speaker 1: make a level of mutants, it becomes much more of
- 12:45Speaker 1: a battle.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It could, But I want to make sure we are
- 12:48Speaker 2: comparing MCU version of and what these caps have been
- 12:51Speaker 2: shown to do versus another MCU, not what they did
- 12:55Speaker 2: in comic books.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm saying what they did in the combook, I'm telling,
- 12:57Speaker 1: But what they showed her to do in this is
- 12:59Speaker 1: still the same levels of power that she had in
- 13:01Speaker 1: the comic books. It wasn't anything different. It was the
- 13:03Speaker 1: same things she did, all that crazy shit you see
- 13:06Speaker 1: and crazier. She turns Wolverine to nothing at one point, damn,
- 13:11Speaker 1: like strips his flesh off him. She forms a suit
- 13:13Speaker 1: of mech armor around herself out of thin air. She
- 13:17Speaker 1: just keeps doing weird shit, and it was unexplained. It
- 13:20Speaker 1: was just like whatever she needed at that moment, she
- 13:22Speaker 1: just kept doing. But the X Men do find a
- 13:24Speaker 1: way to defeat her. It was like yeah, because it
- 13:27Speaker 1: wasn't yeah that if I'm saying, so, why even it
- 13:31Speaker 1: becomes this thing. It's like, why put these characters in
- 13:34Speaker 1: this if you're just going to waste them, you know,
- 13:36Speaker 1: if you're just trying to use it as like oh
- 13:39Speaker 1: fuck Cassandronova, you know, and me, honestly, I really don't
- 13:41Speaker 1: care either way. Cassandronova isn't that big of a villain
- 13:44Speaker 1: where it's like you had to have her, you know,
- 13:46Speaker 1: I had to have the art from the comics, It
- 13:48Speaker 1: doesn't matter. My problem more with this movie is the
- 13:52Speaker 1: fact that it's just you don't have to have a
- 13:55Speaker 1: summer movie and not have some sense, you know, not
- 13:58Speaker 1: have something taken away from it. Like I felt like
- 14:01Speaker 1: the first Step, who has a lot of heart to it,
- 14:03Speaker 1: has a lot of things to it that this didn't.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It was why I hated the second so much, Like
- 14:09Speaker 1: I just vehemently hate the second film because they Fridge
- 14:15Speaker 1: Vanessa's character. Yeah yeah, in this one, they don't really
- 14:19Speaker 1: have Vanessa, but at least he's searching for her and
- 14:22Speaker 1: for that relationship, so I like that. And because they
- 14:24Speaker 1: have his buddy buddy romance with Wolverine, it kind of
- 14:27Speaker 1: replaces that Vanessa stuff. So that worked for me. But
- 14:31Speaker 1: beyond that, nothing was well.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, And my thing is, while it's not the best
- 14:40Speaker 2: Depo movie nor the best Marvel movie, like I thought
- 14:43Speaker 2: it was good for what it was, and I think
- 14:45Speaker 2: that's why I just give it a pass, because it
- 14:48Speaker 2: wasn't purporting itself to be anything than what it was,
- 14:50Speaker 2: which was literally it was tongue in cheek. Hey this
- 14:54Speaker 2: is a mortgage movie.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but you.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Told me what it was in the beginning, so I
- 14:58Speaker 2: expected that you would throw anybody in there and it
- 15:01Speaker 2: not matter. Like I get trying to respect it and
- 15:04Speaker 2: like you said, oh, you're wasting casm, I'm like, is
- 15:06Speaker 2: it really a waste that they accomplish what they set
- 15:08Speaker 2: out to do?
- 15:09Speaker 1: No? But see that's the difference. See, then we're going
- 15:11Speaker 1: back to why I said, Uh, there's a famous Michael
- 15:13Speaker 1: Kine quote where he talks about Piranha to the movie right,
- 15:17Speaker 1: corono two, you already know what we're talking about, you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: And the nigga said, I've never seen it, but I've
- 15:21Speaker 1: seen the house that it bought, you know. And so
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's like, if you're making Piranha two level of entertainment,
- 15:27Speaker 1: then I and that's why I say this is Piranha
- 15:31Speaker 1: two level. This ain't even Piranha, which ain't even you know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: a high level of entertainment. But this is like, this
- 15:37Speaker 1: is just bad, you know, with a bunch of cameos
- 15:41Speaker 1: to make it seem like it's something. But it's like,
- 15:44Speaker 1: just because it's a summer movie doesn't mean it has
- 15:46Speaker 1: to be stupid, and just you know, like that's why
- 15:48Speaker 1: my problem with this is just not did.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You feel little stupid than I'm trying to also understand
- 15:54Speaker 2: your sentiment. It's like in one way, you're just like, okay,
- 15:57Speaker 2: some stuff is like don't I don't know if you're
- 15:59Speaker 2: saying like overall you just thought it was a bad
- 16:01Speaker 2: movie or what.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Like I just thought it was not not inconsequential, it's
- 16:05Speaker 1: something I saw one it was a commercial for toys.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Inconsequential was actually a good part because we literally just
- 16:12Speaker 2: said nothing mattered, So that means inconsequential, right.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's a commercial for me to buy some Marvel Legends
- 16:17Speaker 1: if I want something. You know, that's my problem, Like
- 16:19Speaker 1: it's just it's not a plot. It's not a movie.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And then like when you talk about that Sadbot ship,
- 16:26Speaker 1: that's where it gets back to the whole multiverse thing, right,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and they do all the living life out of the
- 16:30Speaker 1: multiverse in the movie, but then they fall prey to
- 16:33Speaker 1: the same things about it. So it's just it's one
- 16:36Speaker 1: of things like I don't like things like that when
- 16:39Speaker 1: you're like talking about something and then you use those
- 16:42Speaker 1: same tricks, you know, but it's like because we talked,
- 16:44Speaker 1: thought about it, you know, now we can do it. No, no, man,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you can't do that. You know.
- 16:48Speaker 2: You seem not like that style of comedy too. Like
- 16:50Speaker 2: in a way you could say they felt in one way.
- 16:53Speaker 2: On one hand, you could say they fell to the
- 16:56Speaker 2: to the trap of their own you know, of their
- 16:58Speaker 2: own making. But then in another way to say they
- 17:00Speaker 2: did it on purpose.
- 17:01Speaker 1: They didn't.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You just you said they don't. You don't like when
- 17:04Speaker 2: people do it on pre because you think they went
- 17:05Speaker 2: more clever.
- 17:06Speaker 1: They feel like you're not more clever, clever. If you
- 17:08Speaker 1: were clever, you would write a better story, You would
- 17:11Speaker 1: write a movie that mattered. You can have all these
- 17:14Speaker 1: dumb jokes. You can do all I'm trying to think of.
- 17:16Speaker 1: I mean, most Marvel movies to fill with dumb jokes,
- 17:19Speaker 1: you know, like let's say Iron Man three, my favorite,
- 17:21Speaker 1: it's filled with dumb jokes, you know, but it's jot.
- 17:23Speaker 1: Hart Tony has an arc, you know, things happen, you know,
- 17:27Speaker 1: like Iron Man one, you know, Spider Man. There's arcs,
- 17:30Speaker 1: like there is nothing not a character has an arc
- 17:34Speaker 1: in this film that's really like.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Do you feel like you wasted your time? Like? Yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 2: I almost want to understand when I say, yeah, I
- 17:41Speaker 2: want to see how do you feel? Because I feel
- 17:42Speaker 2: like because they're saying is beyond what a typical movie
- 17:46Speaker 2: go over would even contemplate. Like and when I say
- 17:49Speaker 2: the things you're saying, I'm talking about, you're talking about
- 17:50Speaker 2: the art behind it, and yeah, reason and intention and
- 17:54Speaker 2: know a lot of people don't care about that. They
- 17:56Speaker 2: just want to go someplace and be entertained for two
- 17:59Speaker 2: and a half hour or more.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, twenty five. If you're ever going to go back
- 18:03Speaker 1: to it again, that's my thing. Oh, I'm not going
- 18:05Speaker 1: back Like, That's what I'm saying this. That's why I
- 18:08Speaker 1: say this is Independence Day too, you know, because I
- 18:11Speaker 1: could have been entertained by Independence Day too. I'm never
- 18:13Speaker 1: going back to it. I don't even think I've seen
- 18:15Speaker 1: the whole thing. But you know what I mean, I
- 18:16Speaker 1: walked out on it, you know, I walked out.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I think I think I got maybe twenty twenty five
- 18:22Speaker 2: minutes and I.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Said, no, I could have walked out on this, you
- 18:26Speaker 1: know what I mean. That's how I pretty much feel
- 18:28Speaker 1: like after especially after the Blade, shit, I could have bounced,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and I'm like, I would have missed nothing.
- 18:33Speaker 2: No, you wouldn't miss nothing.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Yet.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I mean my thing is just going back to that
- 18:36Speaker 2: whole approach of Sandbox and like just literally and making
- 18:40Speaker 2: and instead of the the engineer version of Shambox, let's
- 18:44Speaker 2: go to the literal version of Sandbox. A kid playing
- 18:47Speaker 2: around with a bunch of toys. Yeah, just doing shit. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 2: video game you And that's okay that you feel that
- 18:55Speaker 2: it's insulting, But I mean that's also how this is
- 18:58Speaker 2: taken by a lot of fans. Like it's literally, now
- 19:01Speaker 2: I get all my favorite toys to just do shit,
- 19:03Speaker 2: like all my while there's dreams that were you know,
- 19:06Speaker 2: while there's jokes I should say I can do right here,
- 19:09Speaker 2: all the ship that they wouldn't say, all the stupid
- 19:11Speaker 2: trolley things that happen on on Instagram and Twitter and
- 19:15Speaker 2: elsewhere where they talk about, oh Fox should have did this,
- 19:18Speaker 2: and all this character that, like literally all of that
- 19:21Speaker 2: stuff got thrown into this movie. And that's why, in
- 19:23Speaker 2: the literal sense, I could see this being very enjoyable
- 19:27Speaker 2: to a lot of people because it's just like all
- 19:29Speaker 2: all the all the ship I say online is now
- 19:31Speaker 2: they're showing it and they're.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Agreeing with me in this I think we're we're missing
- 19:35Speaker 1: something here. Is like I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it.
- 19:38Speaker 1: You know, I did enjoy it. I was in the theater, laughing,
- 19:40Speaker 1: cheering all that. You know, human tortures up. Oh shit, hilarious.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You know he start this person in the Boston. That
- 19:46Speaker 1: sent great. I just never want to see it again.
- 19:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 19:48Speaker 1: My favorite part of the film was the ending when
- 19:51Speaker 1: they had that end credit sequence where they was showing
- 19:53Speaker 1: all that you know, that was emotional.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that was emotional. When they were showing the old
- 19:57Speaker 2: school X Man and yeah.
- 19:58Speaker 1: That was emotional. Nothing in this film ever had any emotion,
- 20:01Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. So it's like that's not like
- 20:04Speaker 1: that's sad to me, you know, Like that's that's where
- 20:07Speaker 1: I get into this, Like, you know, that's content. That's
- 20:11Speaker 1: why I get into this bulls Like we're we're like, yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and that's a problem, fam Like that's like you know
- 20:18Speaker 1: what I mean, Oh my god. You know, it's like
- 20:19Speaker 1: we shouldn't have to suffer like this, you know, like
- 20:23Speaker 1: you it defin I mean it doesn't have to be
- 20:25Speaker 1: like this. You know, you can have a good ass
- 20:29Speaker 1: movie that has an arc, has a story, and it
- 20:31Speaker 1: can still be inconsequential. It can still mean nothing to
- 20:34Speaker 1: the larger Marvel universe. It can still you know, tell
- 20:37Speaker 1: a billion jokes, have all the cameos in the world.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I mean, No Way Home is a cameo fest. A
- 20:42Speaker 1: good example of No Way Home is a cameo fest.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And it's still a film.
- 20:48Speaker 2: You know, a cameo fest that has cameos.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Watch it at home and you'll see what I mean.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It stops when these niggas walk into the room, like
- 20:58Speaker 1: you know, every Peter Parker. It gives you twenty ten
- 21:01Speaker 1: seconds to clap like that's bad. You know, like that's bad.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The movie stops so you can clap. You know, it's
- 21:08Speaker 1: a cameo fest.
- 21:09Speaker 2: It is.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It's it's right there with this one. Come on, it's
- 21:12Speaker 1: based on Tom Holland and them. You know, all these
- 21:15Speaker 1: niggas being around.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Say this is with Deadpool, that is I won't say
- 21:19Speaker 2: No Way Home or which one or whatever that was
- 21:21Speaker 2: is with on a Depp level of camera strangers. I
- 21:26Speaker 2: don't know. I wouldn't the reason why I wouldn't say
- 21:28Speaker 2: the Spider Man one is because there's actual If you're
- 21:31Speaker 2: gonna use your logic, it's actual heart. That's me.
- 21:34Speaker 1: No, that's what I said.
- 21:34Speaker 2: You know I played on that.
- 21:36Speaker 1: See that what I'm saying, you could have a cameo fest,
- 21:38Speaker 1: which No Way Home is, and still have heart. That's
- 21:41Speaker 1: my difference. So that's just a cameo fest. Think it
- 21:44Speaker 1: has Jamie Fox, you know, like it's not everybody, it's
- 21:49Speaker 1: a cameo. I forgot about the villains. I'm not even
- 21:52Speaker 1: thinking about the villains.
- 21:53Speaker 2: The reason why I didn't consider it because it's a
- 21:58Speaker 2: lot of people that show up. But it makes necessary.
- 22:01Speaker 2: It's really aligned to what's going on the movie versus
- 22:04Speaker 2: in Deadpool. Anybody and anything was in that movie.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And that's my point. That's all I said. That's all
- 22:11Speaker 1: IM said.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Like this is like trying to give me an example,
- 22:13Speaker 2: and yeah, no, there isn't.
- 22:15Speaker 1: That's my example. There's a movie versus a cameo fest.
- 22:19Speaker 1: They could have made Spider Man No Way Home into
- 22:21Speaker 1: a cameo fest if they had it written a somewhat
- 22:24Speaker 1: good story. I don't think Spider Man No Home is
- 22:26Speaker 1: the best story, but I think it's at least an arc,
- 22:29Speaker 1: you know. I think it's still a story. This is
- 22:31Speaker 1: not These niggas didn't give a shit, you know, and
- 22:34Speaker 1: that's my problem. And I feel like Brian Reynolds is
- 22:37Speaker 1: a very cynical dude at his heart, you know, because
- 22:40Speaker 1: he's the type of person will be like, oh, yeah,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, here you go, now, let me get this billion,
- 22:45Speaker 1: you know, Hugh Jackman kind of the same way. Let
- 22:47Speaker 1: me show up and do logan light, you know, and
- 22:50Speaker 1: get this money.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Like but they said as much. And I think that's
- 22:53Speaker 2: the only reason why I'm that's so wildly less emotionally
- 22:57Speaker 2: invested in it, because like I don't almost I don't
- 23:01Speaker 2: find but saying disrespect like those are emotional terms and
- 23:04Speaker 2: that's okay. Yeah, I don't disagree with you, just like
- 23:08Speaker 2: I'm detached from it because I'm like, y'all told me
- 23:10Speaker 2: what it was from the jumpt Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 1: And see, I don't forget people for telling me that
- 23:13Speaker 1: you're about to do a magic triate, you know. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't forget people for telling me you're about to tell joke.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You know, if the joke is bad, it's still a
- 23:22Speaker 1: bad joke, you know, Like, oh, I'm about to give
- 23:25Speaker 1: you a bad movie.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Okay, I will give you a thing. I'll give you
- 23:31Speaker 2: my view of when it comes to Deadpool, what worked
- 23:34Speaker 2: and what didn't because we both agree that it was
- 23:38Speaker 2: still an enjoyable movie. But again just varying experience. Okay, yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 2: it's an enjoyable rid through the universe. What worked for
- 23:55Speaker 2: me was and and this is just me plucking different
- 23:59Speaker 2: because it is a content move, a contact film, content experience.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I'm not even going to talk about the story. I'm
- 24:04Speaker 2: just going to talk about things that happen or things
- 24:06Speaker 2: and so all so work work for me. All the
- 24:08Speaker 2: different Wolverines I loved seeing I thought that was cool
- 24:11Speaker 2: seeing all the different multi verse Wolverines and how each
- 24:15Speaker 2: one didn't work out or could have worked out.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But you know what I mean, Henry Caville as so distrusting.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I love Harry Cavell, so seeing him and anything, I'm
- 24:30Speaker 2: just like, I just like seeing him. That worked for me.
- 24:33Speaker 1: That was me, say I will what Let's not want
- 24:39Speaker 1: to mute love because you know, just for future references,
- 24:43Speaker 1: what do you do?
- 24:45Speaker 2: All right?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Well, the thing that everyone knows is that he dated
- 24:48Speaker 1: Jina Corano, and you can take everything that you wanted
- 24:50Speaker 1: that and he's British and a white man, and he's
- 24:53Speaker 1: a big fan of Warhammer forty thousand, which is the
- 24:55Speaker 1: fastest you know, supporting game every and you can, you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: what's the word, extrapolate from that, and that's fine.
- 25:05Speaker 2: I still like him as a there we go, there
- 25:07Speaker 2: we go still like, Okay.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm just trying to keep it cool.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Things I don't know.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Somebody don't.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I don't know the man from a Cannabian's okay. I
- 25:17Speaker 2: like him as an actor. I enjoy his work, so
- 25:22Speaker 2: I like seeing him.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I'm surprised he was in this movie, That's all I'll
- 25:26Speaker 1: say that it was. It was rare, no, I mean,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I was surprised that Marvel put him in this movie.
- 25:31Speaker 1: To be surprised, because this nigga is there's a lot.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Of niggas like that. But in multiple movies.
- 25:38Speaker 1: What do you mean, there's only you know, there's there's levels,
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know, like when when people start eating people and
- 25:43Speaker 1: things of that nature, they they vanished out of movies,
- 25:45Speaker 1: you know. And there's a reason why he stopped being
- 25:50Speaker 1: Superman and why he's you know, vanished after that kind
- 25:52Speaker 1: of he.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Didn't really vanished. He went on to become Garreld, and
- 25:56Speaker 2: then that whole situation happened with garyl of Riviera and
- 25:59Speaker 2: that wasn't his. That was a disagreement and approach, and man,
- 26:05Speaker 2: you know.
- 26:06Speaker 1: They also moved on.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Okay, what else? What else? Said? What else? Worked with
- 26:14Speaker 2: dead Pool? One of the things that matter to me. Yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 2: Blade was cool, like obviously seen Wesley's as Wesley snic
- 26:21Speaker 2: was real cool. Why are you saying one four because
- 26:23Speaker 2: I'm not screaming, Oh my god, I'm crying. I thought
- 26:25Speaker 2: it was cool, Like yeah, like that's what worked for me,
- 26:30Speaker 2: aout work. I'm gonna let you talk about that. Then,
- 26:33Speaker 2: since that mattered, that was a big bulletpoint for you.
- 26:35Speaker 2: I thought all that ship was cool for what was
- 26:37Speaker 2: a bullet point for me? What was the bullepoint for me,
- 26:40Speaker 2: even though it was on the pretense of a joke,
- 26:43Speaker 2: was Gambit.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Now.
- 26:44Speaker 2: The reason why it was a big bulletpoint for me
- 26:46Speaker 2: is because Gambit is one of my favorites. He's my
- 26:49Speaker 2: top five when it comes to Gests Marvel characters. He's
- 26:51Speaker 2: always been since I was a kid. So I was
- 26:55Speaker 2: part of that group of people dying, crying, going carrying
- 26:59Speaker 2: on for year after year talking about why you not
- 27:01Speaker 2: putting Gambit in the X Men films, why you're not
- 27:04Speaker 2: putting Gambit anywhere in the film period. A good, good version,
- 27:07Speaker 2: excuse me, live action version of Gambit, because.
- 27:11Speaker 1: In one of them, right, yeah, he gets killed and
- 27:13Speaker 1: he looks.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Like fucking clockwork Orange. I'm good.
- 27:17Speaker 1: So, oh wait, what's yeah?
- 27:23Speaker 2: I wanted to see Gambit okay, for real. So even
- 27:27Speaker 2: though again this is wrapped in the pretense of jokes,
- 27:29Speaker 2: and I understand that it is also tongue in cheek,
- 27:31Speaker 2: I love seeing comic book accurate Gambit. That that did
- 27:35Speaker 2: it for me. I love just to even just forget
- 27:36Speaker 2: everything else that went along, just the way he looked.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I actually liked seeing that finally real life on screen
- 27:42Speaker 2: number one, number two. I like seeing because this was
- 27:45Speaker 2: his dream, Channing Tatum. This is his dream for ten
- 27:48Speaker 2: plus years to be Gambit. Now, whether or not he's
- 27:51Speaker 2: actually gonna ever be Gambit ever getting m so you
- 27:53Speaker 2: probably never got. But the fact that he got his
- 27:56Speaker 2: wish and it actually fucking happened, kudos to you. I'm
- 28:00Speaker 2: glad he got to do it again. It was a joke,
- 28:03Speaker 2: but I was crying and so happy with how they
- 28:06Speaker 2: did the whole thing with an accent, because that was
- 28:09Speaker 2: that was real. That was like on some like when
- 28:11Speaker 2: even when they made the joke about the dialect coach
- 28:13Speaker 2: and stuff like that, I thought that was hilarious because
- 28:16Speaker 2: that was actually one of the things that people would
- 28:17Speaker 2: always say about Channing. It was like, Channing can't do it,
- 28:19Speaker 2: cause Channon would do things like like I think he
- 28:22Speaker 2: in back the day, he would do like a couple
- 28:24Speaker 2: like doing the voice, and people would talk about how
- 28:27Speaker 2: his dialect sucks at trying to do be a Cajun man.
- 28:30Speaker 2: And then to kind of bring that to the movie,
- 28:31Speaker 2: I thought that shit was great. All the jokes aside,
- 28:36Speaker 2: they actually showed his power set very fucking good. And
- 28:40Speaker 2: this is why it takes me back to the engineer
- 28:42Speaker 2: virgion of why I call this the sandbox. This is
- 28:44Speaker 2: they also kind of say, hey, you can if you
- 28:46Speaker 2: have if you've been having problems showing how to show
- 28:49Speaker 2: how Gamut moves his powers that shit like that, here's
- 28:51Speaker 2: an example of how to do it and do it well.
- 28:54Speaker 2: All the jokes aside, he actually looked good fucking fighting.
- 28:57Speaker 2: He actually looked good with you know, charging up the
- 28:59Speaker 2: cards and blow growing up niggas the nigga. Even though
- 29:01Speaker 2: it was Deadpool up type violence and it was like cartoonish,
- 29:04Speaker 2: he still looked good. Like the effects. Everything looked like, Okay,
- 29:08Speaker 2: this could actually go somewhere if y'all took this serious.
- 29:11Speaker 2: And that's what for me it was. It was just like,
- 29:13Speaker 2: if y'all took this ship seriously, y'all may have something
- 29:16Speaker 2: in your hands, but this is Deadpool and this was
- 29:18Speaker 2: all a joke anyway.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I thought he was cool. I don't disagree.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I thought, you know, I thought it was great that
- 29:27Speaker 1: Channing Franny got to do it. I thought he looked
- 29:30Speaker 1: personally just a little weird to me in the suit.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I thought the suit looked good. Gig, Yeah, because he's
- 29:35Speaker 1: big and Gambit should be slim, you know, And that
- 29:37Speaker 1: was my Channing got the brown face, So it just
- 29:41Speaker 1: don't work Gambit he's that super slim like, you know,
- 29:44Speaker 1: especially in that mask.
- 29:46Speaker 2: But again, I know it works in this movie, right.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it works in this movie because everybody look ridiculous,
- 29:51Speaker 1: Blade looks ridiculous, or letter look ultra ridiculous. Are old.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Because y'all was in fucking Alliance land, right, you wait?
- 30:01Speaker 2: So what else worked with this film?
- 30:04Speaker 1: I wanted to say, though, I still think that I
- 30:08Speaker 1: think that idea that you know this is like that
- 30:11Speaker 1: Sandbot's idea is giving it too much pretter Like X
- 30:15Speaker 1: ninety sevens right there. We've all seen how to do Gambit.
- 30:18Speaker 1: You can it's animation can translate to live action. So
- 30:21Speaker 1: it's like, that's that's no excuse for this. It looked good. Yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 1: but again it goes back to that give me a
- 30:25Speaker 1: movie with it.
- 30:27Speaker 2: What else worked well with this movie? I mean those
- 30:34Speaker 2: were the I mean, and I don't mean everything else was.
- 30:41Speaker 2: I just mean, like the stuff that really stood out
- 30:43Speaker 2: to me.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I loved Chris Evans as Human Torch.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, Chris was funny.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was hoping for Human Torch and so
- 30:54Speaker 1: when he actually turned in Human Torch, I thought that
- 30:56Speaker 1: was break because I thought that that fantastic four of
- 30:59Speaker 1: those two movies are underrated to me, and I thought
- 31:01Speaker 1: he was definitely so great as Human Doors.
- 31:05Speaker 2: I love Leslie Elgins in this as as blind Out always.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I always liked her and also because she's a you know,
- 31:11Speaker 2: she's just she's a more legendary black woman. I just
- 31:14Speaker 2: like seeing her in the mix and getting her bag.
- 31:16Speaker 1: So I like seeing her doing a commercial. That was
- 31:17Speaker 1: what I was very hyped for when I saw her
- 31:19Speaker 1: getting a check, like, I.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Was like, yes, right, I like seeing Laura. I was
- 31:22Speaker 2: seeing X twenty three again. I like seeing the grown
- 31:24Speaker 2: up version of her, growing more grown version. I mean
- 31:27Speaker 2: not say growing up, but more grown yea. And that
- 31:31Speaker 2: idea that you know, all the characters, the general idea
- 31:34Speaker 2: that all the characters that am to you abandoned or
- 31:38Speaker 2: Fox and all this other stuff, they're just sitting in
- 31:40Speaker 2: the fucking void, because that's also what they were saying,
- 31:41Speaker 2: Like you know, if you want to get explanation of well,
- 31:44Speaker 2: what happened it is and what happened in this version
- 31:45Speaker 2: of Quick Silvering, they're in the void or they probably
- 31:48Speaker 2: got eight by alife, like you know what I mean,
- 31:50Speaker 2: Like at least you give a more canon explanation for
- 31:53Speaker 2: what the fuck happened and white people change and so
- 31:55Speaker 2: on and so forth besides the multiverse, right, So I
- 31:58Speaker 2: like I like that. Other guys, there were things that again,
- 32:03Speaker 2: otherwise the movie was fine, but I also think there
- 32:06Speaker 2: were stuff that really did not work. For me, and
- 32:09Speaker 2: this is just this Deadpool level type humor and stuff
- 32:12Speaker 2: like that. I don't like gratuitous like nastiness and gratuitous
- 32:17Speaker 2: and I won't say gratuitousvinus. I Watcheddudace Viinus all the time.
- 32:19Speaker 2: I don't like gratuitous like disgusting things happening. So there
- 32:24Speaker 2: was lots of that ship, you know, the whole the
- 32:25Speaker 2: dog looking in the mouth and I'm gonna you know,
- 32:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna stab you in the ass, and you know
- 32:31Speaker 2: the ass, you know, all the concept references.
- 32:34Speaker 1: It just constant what pegging like that. It just like
- 32:38Speaker 1: that was great in the first movie when Vanessa peg disassed.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I thought that was amazing because it showed, you know,
- 32:43Speaker 1: central diversity, a lot of things we don't see on film.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But then when you know, the TV rolls up on
- 32:48Speaker 1: the me and he was like, all right, let's take
- 32:49Speaker 1: it down the hallway because I want to peg you off.
- 32:51Speaker 2: It's just like it comes off. And I don't mean
- 32:53Speaker 2: to sign sound elitist when I say this, but the
- 32:55Speaker 2: consistent low brow humor. It's okay to have lower our
- 32:58Speaker 2: humor when done right, because that's what a Deadpool films
- 33:01Speaker 2: have done. But it's like it's just you're just doing
- 33:03Speaker 2: it for fu's sake.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're doing it because you're Marvel now, and so
- 33:06Speaker 1: it's like, let's be as extreme as possible and that.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I'm like, Okay, you're not doing it because
- 33:11Speaker 2: you have an intention or reason. You're just doing it
- 33:13Speaker 2: because you can. I guess. And I wasn't really jacking
- 33:16Speaker 2: that I didn't care about the fifty eleven Deadpools. I
- 33:20Speaker 2: mean maybe because I go to comic conk have been
- 33:23Speaker 2: done better. You have comic cont every year and I
- 33:24Speaker 2: literally see that every fucking year in real life. So
- 33:27Speaker 2: maybe I just was like, okay, whatever, and yes, it
- 33:29Speaker 2: could have been done better.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I wish they'd given them all time, you know, like
- 33:32Speaker 1: at least just second.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Or two main ones time.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you know, like Matthew McConaughey was the cowboy,
- 33:39Speaker 1: and I didn't, you know, say it was Yeah, that's
- 33:41Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like there was a bunch of people
- 33:43Speaker 1: in those suits. Yeah, but Blake lived whatever she was, Yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 1: but Matthew somebody was the little head, you know, like,
- 33:54Speaker 1: and they didn't give you enough with them, like I
- 33:56Speaker 1: would have, you know, given me a Mathew moment, you know,
- 33:58Speaker 1: just a second even ride. Yeah, you know it would
- 34:04Speaker 1: have been dumb, but it would have been you know,
- 34:05Speaker 1: it would have been perfect for this.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, what did I say? Like he did it
- 34:09Speaker 2: in a cowboy accent. That would have been hilarious, right
- 34:12Speaker 2: to the stupidity. The the Murderous Gang of dead Pools
- 34:16Speaker 2: didn't work for me. I didn't care about that. And
- 34:18Speaker 2: and of course just Di died that it wasn't even
- 34:19Speaker 2: really a story.
- 34:20Speaker 1: It was just I loved what do you call it though,
- 34:23Speaker 1: what Gladpool.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Happy pool or whatever? Yo?
- 34:28Speaker 1: I when when he had shot and he's like, so,
- 34:32Speaker 1: when do you regenerate?
- 34:33Speaker 2: He's like, what's that?
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 34:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that was cool. That was fun.
- 34:42Speaker 1: That was and then he uses a business child again
- 34:45Speaker 1: after that.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's kind of like the movie. It's interesting
- 34:49Speaker 2: as I'm thinking about the movie. The other reason why
- 34:52Speaker 2: the movie doesn't matter because it canceled itself out. Like
- 34:55Speaker 2: for every clever joke in position easter egg, whatever, they
- 35:01Speaker 2: came with, its counter its mirror image of stupidity. For
- 35:06Speaker 2: every good joke that was a dumb ass, low brow
- 35:08Speaker 2: joke that was said fifty times, for every good cameo
- 35:11Speaker 2: that actually made sense. There was someone there like why
- 35:13Speaker 2: the fuck are you here? Why the is jogging out there?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Besides to say he needed his helmet, like what was
- 35:19Speaker 2: the point? And then they showed other random like what's
- 35:22Speaker 2: in k Kirk Wagner's cousin them the red one? Yeah,
- 35:27Speaker 2: like okay, and they didn't even use him like that,
- 35:30Speaker 2: like don't put Aziel on the screen and don't really
- 35:34Speaker 2: use him like that, like that's the character. Like I
- 35:36Speaker 2: want to see what they when they banff and do
- 35:39Speaker 2: that shit.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Like come on, Like okay, they went up in there.
- 35:44Speaker 2: If you wanted to write, and that's what I'm saying,
- 35:46Speaker 2: if you wanted to have a clever cameo, put dar
- 35:48Speaker 2: on on in that bitch. If you want to talk
- 35:50Speaker 2: about Fox, you want to talk about Fix. That means
- 35:53Speaker 2: you are listening to us, You're listening to the regular people.
- 35:56Speaker 2: That means cause to me, they've pulled a lot of
- 35:58Speaker 2: tweets and trolls and that's come from the Internet. So
- 36:01Speaker 2: if you know that, that means you are very well
- 36:02Speaker 2: versed and very deep into what the internets and streets
- 36:05Speaker 2: are saying. So you know about how we feel about
- 36:07Speaker 2: all these black people, how we feel about Darwin. You
- 36:10Speaker 2: understand it's not a so so that's that's just you
- 36:14Speaker 2: just aligning more with my point that it was like
- 36:17Speaker 2: for every good point they had, they had counterpoint and
- 36:19Speaker 2: to cancel itself out, they balance their own fucking equation
- 36:23Speaker 2: and blip themselves out of existence. That's what this movie
- 36:26Speaker 2: was to me, because I had a great time and
- 36:29Speaker 2: there was stuff I was like, ad whatever, canceled out
- 36:31Speaker 2: and I'll never see the film again.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's my feeling, Like that's what I'm saying.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I think we both pretty much had the same consensus
- 36:37Speaker 1: on the movie. I had a great time. I don't
- 36:39Speaker 1: want people to think that because like when I you know,
- 36:41Speaker 1: when he pulls Happy Pool up again as a shield,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm crying. I'm crying, you know, when Johnny Storm gets
- 36:48Speaker 1: his skin ripped off him, I'm crying, you know at
- 36:52Speaker 1: the whole Blade Blade, And you know, I know it
- 36:55Speaker 1: wasn't that bit to you, but it was bigger for
- 36:57Speaker 1: me because you know, Blade is one of them definitive films,
- 36:59Speaker 1: and Blade is.
- 37:02Speaker 2: The father of Marvel Let's of the mc U. It's
- 37:05Speaker 2: not that it wasn't a big deal to me. I'm
- 37:06Speaker 2: just talking about things that were major highlights. Me. I
- 37:09Speaker 2: thought that was great, but I'm not gonna like I
- 37:10Speaker 2: wasn't crying screaming.
- 37:11Speaker 1: About it, so okay, well yeah, that was the moment
- 37:13Speaker 1: for me. And then him turn into the camera and
- 37:15Speaker 1: saying there's only one Blade, ain't gonna be no other Blade.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Was looking to the camera like and like, I'm looking
- 37:22Speaker 2: at your.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Yeah it's and it's looking more and more likely because.
- 37:28Speaker 2: It is dead. Blade is vaporware. The new Blade movie
- 37:32Speaker 2: is vapor where it does not fucking exist and will not.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Exist because with Waters. I saw the film before San
- 37:38Speaker 1: Diego Comic Con, and then the San Diego Comic Con
- 37:40Speaker 1: when they announced the next two years, there's no mention
- 37:43Speaker 1: of Blade, and Blade spost be out net year.
- 37:46Speaker 2: So it reports every I don't know quarter, so and
- 37:56Speaker 2: so dropped out, there's a new there's a new writer,
- 37:59Speaker 2: so and so d there's a new director. Like, there's
- 38:02Speaker 2: no way, y'all are tech and juggling all of these
- 38:07Speaker 2: different important roles and people cast and crew for you
- 38:12Speaker 2: to say, oh, it's still coming out. No, it's not happening.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 38:17Speaker 1: The thing is, most films go through this type of thing,
- 38:20Speaker 1: you know, or not most, but a lot of them
- 38:22Speaker 1: go through no there we go. There's a big difference.
- 38:25Speaker 1: But like most films go through, you know, directors hopping
- 38:28Speaker 1: on and off well you know, especially in pre production.
- 38:31Speaker 1: You know, stars, yeah, niggas, and then you know it's like,
- 38:35Speaker 1: you know, nigga's fall in love with the movie, then
- 38:36Speaker 1: they fall in love with someone else, you know, and
- 38:38Speaker 1: so like they gotta jump on that to like, but publicly, publicly.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Is a different story. And that's why I'm like, also,
- 38:44Speaker 2: I'm like, it's like self, someone's self sabotaging because somebody
- 38:47Speaker 2: just don't want this shit to happen for us to
- 38:49Speaker 2: know so much.
- 38:51Speaker 1: It's also though that Marvel does so much publicly. That's
- 38:55Speaker 1: the that's the difference between them and other studios, Like
- 38:58Speaker 1: especially like they've they've change their tone now like at SCCC,
- 39:02Speaker 1: they just did the next two years, you know, real tight,
- 39:05Speaker 1: but before you knew seven years of their movies. So
- 39:08Speaker 1: that's different, you know, like another studio doesn't have that problem.
- 39:11Speaker 1: They're not like, you know, four years from now, we
- 39:12Speaker 1: got this coming out. Oh fuck, the director changed, you know,
- 39:15Speaker 1: Like that was the difference. So Marvel isn't a unique
- 39:19Speaker 1: and weird position because of that. So but so Blade
- 39:23Speaker 1: could still have it?
- 39:24Speaker 2: Do? I think it is doubt? And I think the
- 39:27Speaker 2: other reason why I didn't have such a more more
- 39:32Speaker 2: outsize reaction to seeing Electra and Blade and all that
- 39:35Speaker 2: stuff it was because of the leaks that Ship was
- 39:38Speaker 2: because remember I didn't see until like a week. Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 2: damn you were, so even though I didn't, people didn't
- 39:43Speaker 2: leak the story because let's fasically there was no story.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I saw definitely almost the entire Gambit fight I saw
- 39:51Speaker 2: on Twitter.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Oh damn. Yeah. See, like I saw a lot.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Of stuff, so I knew, but I still felt.
- 39:57Speaker 1: You know more, Yeah, because yeah for that, Like me,
- 40:00Speaker 1: all of this was hope for me because I didn't
- 40:02Speaker 1: know Ship, and so I was hoping for Gambit and
- 40:06Speaker 1: I don't I don't even think I was thinking about Blade. Honestly,
- 40:09Speaker 1: it wasn't about nobody. I wasn't think abou Blade because
- 40:12Speaker 1: I know that behind the scenes and how much Ryan
- 40:14Speaker 1: and Wesley did not get along on that film. So Trinity, Yeah,
- 40:19Speaker 1: on Trinity, So I did not you know, that was like,
- 40:21Speaker 1: ain't no fucking way this dude showing up for this,
- 40:23Speaker 1: and I didn't think.
- 40:24Speaker 2: You know, Ryan would ask after all these years. I
- 40:26Speaker 2: think that's the thing, after all these years, unless Ryan
- 40:29Speaker 2: was really in his ass, being like a dick.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Ryan was in his ass and Wesley was on his
- 40:34Speaker 1: ship because from what I know, Wesley was going around
- 40:37Speaker 1: saying til that cracker comes and said, well, I think it's.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Also just Wesy. I just think that's his personality, white
- 40:45Speaker 2: person the cracker. And also, let's be fucking about it.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Let's be real. A bag will change things. I can
- 40:53Speaker 2: get along with my worst stop in the world if
- 40:56Speaker 2: you're paying me to do it.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Yeah, bag need so you know, there we go. Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 1: so I so it being a complete shock for Wedsley
- 41:07Speaker 1: Snipes to walk on screen, that's fine for me. Yeah,
- 41:11Speaker 1: and then and then and then you knew the blade
- 41:13Speaker 1: line too, and like that's a big shot.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Now. It was good to make the connection cause I
- 41:17Speaker 2: didn't know why they were saying it. So yeah, movie,
- 41:20Speaker 2: I was all right, cool, but I knew was there what.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I'm saying it was there.
- 41:25Speaker 2: I did not know about Electra.
- 41:28Speaker 1: I didn't care, not that you.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I didn't was caring.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I know, I'm to tell you, like for me me
- 41:35Speaker 1: not knowing in her and her walking on screen.
- 41:37Speaker 2: I was like, I was like, cool, know how to
- 41:39Speaker 2: swing before? Yeah?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Not really, but you know really but who was the way?
- 41:47Speaker 1: There was one? Okay I wanted up with.
- 41:49Speaker 2: The reaction was twenty three? I really happy to see
- 41:51Speaker 2: come on, I was really excited me to see her.
- 41:54Speaker 1: You already know how I feel about my you know,
- 41:56Speaker 1: like Daphney Kane is like, you know, protect with my Yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 1: like I protect her. You know, that's Jackie, that's Laura.
- 42:06Speaker 1: That's what's.
- 42:08Speaker 2: The thing the movie you keep talking about? Yeah?
- 42:10Speaker 1: What God? How can I remember her name? And the
- 42:13Speaker 1: philm because it's a little way how he says it
- 42:15Speaker 1: all I can't remember. But yeah, that's my girl for life.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I love her in every role she's ever done. I've
- 42:22Speaker 1: always loved her.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Did you like, oh, what's the face from Loki? Uh?
- 42:27Speaker 2: Go ahead?
- 42:28Speaker 1: No, go ahead.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I'm happy that you care about right. I thought it
- 42:33Speaker 2: was again strange placement, but I'm like, fuck it, you
- 42:36Speaker 2: got some money, get a bag, black woman getting money? Great,
- 42:39Speaker 2: go ahead, strange.
- 42:40Speaker 1: This is my question. What was the reaction to Wolverine
- 42:44Speaker 1: putting on the mask in your theater? Because mine was
- 42:46Speaker 1: that was the first time I was trying to like
- 42:48Speaker 1: m it wasn't the full on rad.
- 42:52Speaker 2: I'll answer that question, and I will also add on
- 42:54Speaker 2: another like comment to it. So there wasn't really a
- 42:58Speaker 2: reaction at all. And again remember I was there with
- 43:00Speaker 2: regular deggers. I went and like o'clock in the afternoon,
- 43:03Speaker 2: regular deg There's probably people with exception, maybe the younger ones,
- 43:06Speaker 2: people who don't care about Marvel comics or really all
- 43:09Speaker 2: the films like that. It just went along because it
- 43:12Speaker 2: is what it is. So it wasn't much a reaction.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Like if there was, it was like two people, right,
- 43:16Speaker 2: it was a full theater. But when I said reaction,
- 43:19Speaker 2: I mean like audible someone's like gas being screaming and
- 43:23Speaker 2: all going carrying on. None of that happened. That's that
- 43:26Speaker 2: what happened to yours?
- 43:28Speaker 1: No that, And I think you just you explained it
- 43:30Speaker 1: so perfectly, because that's a moment that only fucking matters
- 43:33Speaker 1: to nerds, you know, because like the majority of people
- 43:36Speaker 1: have never given a shit that he hasn't worn this
- 43:38Speaker 1: yellow and blue costume in the movies. Most people do
- 43:41Speaker 1: not care that that is only like my favorite moment
- 43:44Speaker 1: for the whole thing was seeing the burn costume, you know,
- 43:47Speaker 1: the brown yellow, because that's like Wolverene yellow and blue
- 43:50Speaker 1: is always like some goofy shit.
- 43:51Speaker 2: It's funny that you said nerds because when he put up,
- 43:54Speaker 2: when I saw the cost and I was like, oh
- 43:56Speaker 2: I did, I just said, I said it quietly to myself,
- 43:58Speaker 2: I said, like it matters. I'm a Nerds, so it
- 44:03Speaker 2: matters to me.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, like and like every other moment in my
- 44:07Speaker 1: theater was a stream, you know, like every different Wolverine
- 44:10Speaker 1: multi verse, you know, people screaming, streaming brown suit, screaming apocalypse,
- 44:14Speaker 1: age of apocalypse friends.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Their critics were fan critics and that.
- 44:20Speaker 1: But then that was the funny thing. When you put
- 44:21Speaker 1: on the mask, it was like, well, and that.
- 44:25Speaker 2: That leads me to the comment that I wanted to say,
- 44:28Speaker 2: At least I want to say, I thought the construction
- 44:31Speaker 2: of that mass and consme was a little off to
- 44:34Speaker 2: the more Hawkman than proportion. I don't know what. It
- 44:43Speaker 2: wasn't big enough or with angle was weird. It was
- 44:47Speaker 2: giving Hawkman and it was giving. It wasn't giving what
- 44:54Speaker 2: I know from X Men, the animated series, like you
- 44:56Speaker 2: know what, it wasn't maybe the it wasn't enough curve, I.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Think because they're larger. You know, I'm especially in the comments,
- 45:03Speaker 1: they always be drawing them, you know, outrageous.
- 45:05Speaker 2: It gave it gave speed skater fit with wings, That's
- 45:08Speaker 2: what I got. So I was like, oh, even on.
- 45:11Speaker 2: But then when I was looking at I was like, huh,
- 45:13Speaker 2: that looks kind of funny. Yeah, kind of weird. It
- 45:16Speaker 2: wasn't it, and it wasn't horrible, but I was just like,
- 45:18Speaker 2: this don't look quite right.
- 45:20Speaker 1: No, it's that first iteration, like most of the constants,
- 45:23Speaker 1: the first time they do it, it's like, ah, okay,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I see what you were trying to do. Yeah, but
- 45:29Speaker 1: this don't really work as well as you thought it did.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Like that's the thing because when you make the match,
- 45:33Speaker 1: you're like okay, and then you put on screen to
- 45:34Speaker 1: start shooting from different angles and it's like, damn, we
- 45:37Speaker 1: could have done this, we could have done that, and
- 45:38Speaker 1: so you know, I'll forget them for that. But that
- 45:40Speaker 1: was like the one reaction. And I think also the
- 45:43Speaker 1: eyes being wided out throws.
- 45:45Speaker 2: It off a bit, But the eyes being whited out
- 45:48Speaker 2: was because.
- 45:48Speaker 1: It was weird because you're used to see huge eyeshole
- 45:51Speaker 1: movie and then suddenly this doesn't seem.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Eyes And that's a big that was jarring. That was
- 45:57Speaker 2: jarring on a Canny Valley type shit because it was
- 45:59Speaker 2: just who is that now, like even tho, it's the
- 46:02Speaker 2: same guy. It was on some Clark Kent shit, like well,
- 46:04Speaker 2: who the fuck is that?
- 46:05Speaker 1: Right?
- 46:05Speaker 2: Like he just wanted some glasses and right, right, But
- 46:09Speaker 2: but no, I'm happy you mentioned that. I did find
- 46:12Speaker 2: that on top of this shaping and all that stuff,
- 46:14Speaker 2: I did find the white out eyes weird in the
- 46:17Speaker 2: comments in the in the cartoon, yes, but we've never
- 46:20Speaker 2: seen that. So to see that and then juxtaposed next
- 46:23Speaker 2: to Deadpool's white eyes, and I'm like, you pupilist fucks
- 46:26Speaker 2: are just suck at each other.
- 46:27Speaker 1: It was, and it's like anybody. And then it's like
- 46:32Speaker 1: we're used to I'm trying to think what heroes in
- 46:34Speaker 1: the MCU where Captain America, you know, Captain America has
- 46:38Speaker 1: a mask and you see his eyes, so it's like,
- 46:41Speaker 1: why would I not see Wolverine's eyes? Me?
- 46:43Speaker 2: Right, So it's giving weird, but I just gave it
- 46:47Speaker 2: a pass. I was, like anything else in this film,
- 46:49Speaker 2: like whatever it is, what it is.
- 46:51Speaker 1: The second time I saw it, I had to say,
- 46:52Speaker 1: it didn't bug me as much. So it's like, I
- 46:54Speaker 1: think it's the first time. It's like, what the.
- 46:58Speaker 2: What it's jarring.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Yeah. So, like we said, I think that's pretty much
- 47:05Speaker 1: all we can say about this job.
- 47:06Speaker 2: You know, is there is there like nobody else nothing.
- 47:09Speaker 2: You already said it earlier about that the first set
- 47:12Speaker 2: of mid credit cambios, not cameos, but seen where they
- 47:15Speaker 2: were shown all the old reels. I love them behind
- 47:19Speaker 2: the scenes, I will say that I love and I
- 47:21Speaker 2: kept and the first thing I said was, oh my god,
- 47:22Speaker 2: they're so young, like when you saw young young Hugh Jackman,
- 47:26Speaker 2: like you see like these these people were technically babies
- 47:28Speaker 2: when all this stuff was just come ahead and going together.
- 47:31Speaker 2: So I thought that was nice, that was sentimental. I
- 47:34Speaker 2: was like, oh it was worth the way.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that was great. Yeah.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I knew about the jabs of twenty century Fox. It
- 47:43Speaker 2: was just like, hm, it was like I expected a lot,
- 47:47Speaker 2: and perhaps that's why I feel it. I already expected this,
- 47:50Speaker 2: and for me, all.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Those jabs like that's that's that whole thing. It's like
- 47:53Speaker 1: when people talk about, oh, what they couldn't put him
- 47:56Speaker 1: in the suit. No, nigga, they couldn't put him in
- 47:58Speaker 1: the suit back then because nobody would have balled this ship.
- 48:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 48:00Speaker 1: It's like it takes time, It takes you know, things,
- 48:03Speaker 1: and maybe they could have.
- 48:05Speaker 2: Why do you think they were all black because they
- 48:07Speaker 2: thought the suit's comic scoop suits looks stupid. I'm talking
- 48:11Speaker 2: about like the old X Men film they put him
- 48:13Speaker 2: in black fucking leather. Now I forgot which film it
- 48:16Speaker 2: was where they made a joke like what do you
- 48:17Speaker 2: think you're gonna I would wear black leather? Like yeah,
- 48:20Speaker 2: like cause you know what I mean.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Like it's they were coming off the Matrix, which made
- 48:23Speaker 1: all the money, so he has a different time. It's
- 48:26Speaker 1: like I get it, And who cares? Those movies are
- 48:28Speaker 1: still pretty good, you know, or they're pretty bad. It
- 48:31Speaker 1: ain't the suits that changes that, you know that.
- 48:33Speaker 2: I'm like, how the fuck he reminds me of Christen Cole?
- 48:36Speaker 2: How the fuck does he make every fucking movie Toad
- 48:40Speaker 2: Toad will not fucking die.
- 48:42Speaker 1: And I don't think either.
- 48:44Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 48:45Speaker 1: What is that him?
- 48:47Speaker 2: Him as a character, He's always around, He's been in
- 48:51Speaker 2: the old Ass Different Man or not. He's been in
- 48:54Speaker 2: the Old Ass's Men movies. He gets in the Middle
- 48:56Speaker 2: RANGEX movie and now here he is again.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Niggas loved him and told I think it's that
- 49:03Speaker 1: distrustingness of it that people like, you know whatever.
- 49:07Speaker 2: Uh oh, seeing Negasna teenage warhead, I just like.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Her or them, I mean, yeah, but see that that
- 49:13Speaker 1: goes back to my like, God, damn, y'all played, Yeah,
- 49:18Speaker 1: you can't show me Vanessa and negasnic and give them
- 49:20Speaker 1: one line and my man, don't even Louis can't even speak.
- 49:25Speaker 2: But man, I was crying laughing because when I seen
- 49:28Speaker 2: him and I saw that red wiggy out on, I said, Rufio.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Don't get you dressed this zigg up looking like an idiot,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and you don't even let him talk.
- 49:39Speaker 2: I did the Leo DiCaprio on me. I said, that's
- 49:41Speaker 2: Lewis laughing.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You're disuspect, yo. They killed him off in the last
- 49:46Speaker 1: film and then bring him back and don't even let
- 49:49Speaker 1: him speak.
- 49:50Speaker 2: We also many years ago, we were not many, but
- 49:53Speaker 2: years ago we interviewed Lewis tan So make sure y'all
- 49:56Speaker 2: look for that. But you got to see.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Colossus, all this excitment. Yeah, I know, that the all right,
- 50:05Speaker 1: we're done here? Could that all this is just making
- 50:07Speaker 1: me more disgusting because the fact that you showed me
- 50:10Speaker 1: Vanessa and Negasna, two of my favorite people from these films,
- 50:13Speaker 1: and gave me nothing with them, was you know, completely disrespect.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Goes back to the first one, doesn't She was in
- 50:21Speaker 1: the second You mean I thought she was in the
- 50:24Speaker 1: first one. Yeah, because that when they couldn't afford nobody,
- 50:28Speaker 1: because that's what he made the joke, like, that's why
- 50:30Speaker 1: she's in it, because they the very first one. Yeah,
- 50:33Speaker 1: that's how far she goes back. Yeah, because in the
- 50:35Speaker 1: second one, it's all cable. Remember they eliminated about everybody
- 50:39Speaker 1: from the first one, So it's the first one lossus
- 50:41Speaker 1: and her.
- 50:41Speaker 2: You're right, because they were talking about SuperH and all
- 50:44Speaker 2: this stuff. Yeah, and that's yukioh. She's with Nega Sonic,
- 50:47Speaker 2: with Yukio. Ye yeah, Yukio Okay, overall.
- 50:53Speaker 1: How that's Yukio in the you know in the comics
- 50:56Speaker 1: Yukio dates Storm.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Oh but well in the in the first in the
- 51:00Speaker 2: movie where Nigga Sonic first showed up, she was with Yukio.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yeah. I didn't realize that was Yukia. You know, I
- 51:05Speaker 1: didn't realize they used that name, like because you Kiel
- 51:07Speaker 1: is much older. In the comments, she's a wild Japanese girl.
- 51:10Speaker 1: But she's the one who turns Storm out basically like
- 51:13Speaker 1: Storm meets her and then comes back with the mohawk.
- 51:15Speaker 2: And I see that she was in the in the
- 51:17Speaker 2: Wolverine movies. Again, I don't know if that's the same
- 51:20Speaker 2: person but this time around or the same character even,
- 51:23Speaker 2: but with.
- 51:24Speaker 1: Her it's in the first end those movies.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Yeah she is, but I don't know if that's her
- 51:28Speaker 2: the same person now.
- 51:30Speaker 1: So why the focused? When when did she meet Nega Sonic?
- 51:33Speaker 2: I know, I don't know. I'm just wait a minute,
- 51:40Speaker 2: I don't know because she was in.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Japan in the w all right, whatever? Cool they dating
- 51:49Speaker 1: now it's like Black Panther and Storm, like you know,
- 51:52Speaker 1: Japanese characters together.
- 51:53Speaker 3: You know, I really want to know now the first
- 51:58Speaker 3: one because she was in the second one, because yu
- 52:02Speaker 3: Kio is the woman who tells Wolverine that he's gonna
- 52:04Speaker 3: die with her heart.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Oh, you're right, with her heart in her hand, with
- 52:09Speaker 1: his heart in her hand, in his hands. He's the one.
- 52:12Speaker 1: She's the one who says that great line that eventually
- 52:14Speaker 1: when he dies holding Laura, you know, he's holding his
- 52:17Speaker 1: heart in his hands.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, when the fuck do they meet? I
- 52:23Speaker 2: could again, I could be she was. She was there
- 52:26Speaker 2: in the first film, in.
- 52:28Speaker 1: The first Deadpool or in the first wolverne.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Deadpool, Deadpool, My woe. I'm looking at her standing right
- 52:35Speaker 2: next to Nega Sonic. Well it's the first or second.
- 52:37Speaker 2: I don't fucking know. My point is u Kyo is
- 52:39Speaker 2: standing next to Nega Sonics and that's not this rule movie.
- 52:43Speaker 2: And I don't know again, I don't know who this
- 52:46Speaker 2: other little girl is in Wolverine in this let me
- 52:50Speaker 2: get me back, because you're confusing the latest one that
- 52:54Speaker 2: we just saw a few days ago. I don't know
- 52:57Speaker 2: who that little girl is. I she was?
- 53:00Speaker 1: Oh so we're not even sure that was you Kio
- 53:03Speaker 1: in that scene. We're not sure, Okay, but you Kio
- 53:07Speaker 1: was in the first Dead Wool correct, All right? Who cares?
- 53:16Speaker 2: Okay?
- 53:16Speaker 1: Ben?
- 53:16Speaker 2: So what do you rate this?
- 53:18Speaker 1: Oh? God, I can't What do you raise this?
- 53:21Speaker 2: Let's get a letter grade?
- 53:23Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 53:24Speaker 2: Deadpool and Wolverine?
- 53:25Speaker 1: Is this?
- 53:26Speaker 2: Is this what we're calling this?
- 53:28Speaker 1: Yeah? Deadpool versus Deadpool Tomatoes. Is what do we do
- 53:32Speaker 1: on rotten tomatoes? Since we are now officially rotten tomatoes,
- 53:35Speaker 1: we are.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Rotten tomatoes approves?
- 53:38Speaker 1: What they go five or no?
- 53:40Speaker 2: It's it's really just do you give it a splat?
- 53:42Speaker 2: Do you give it a tomato splat? Means you fucking
- 53:44Speaker 2: hated it? Uh? Tomato? Is it was fresh? That's what
- 53:48Speaker 2: it is. But then you you it's really just yes
- 53:51Speaker 2: or no. But then you flesh it out with your explanation, right,
- 53:54Speaker 2: because you can get somebody tomato. But then be like,
- 53:56Speaker 2: well there's some things I didn't really fuck with and
- 53:58Speaker 2: that's why why Wow, Okay, that's I want to do
- 54:01Speaker 2: letter grades to give us some nuance.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Let me give us some nuance and say it's a
- 54:05Speaker 1: C plus B minus.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Speaking of rotten tomatoes plus for a summer, speaking of
- 54:13Speaker 2: rotten tomatoes. It has a seventy nine percent critic review
- 54:16Speaker 2: and a ninety six percent audience review.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I believe that, yeah, I'd say about saying nine percent
- 54:23Speaker 1: C plus Yep.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Yeah again, whether or not I'm giving them too much credit,
- 54:32Speaker 2: I still think it was a good experiment place to
- 54:35Speaker 2: experiment things, but it also was not a true film,
- 54:39Speaker 2: it was it was a TikTok. So it's like it's
- 54:46Speaker 2: a TikTok. And from that, I think it's anywhere between
- 54:53Speaker 2: a C plus and a B minus, depending on if
- 54:57Speaker 2: you're talking about the first half of the Last Time
- 54:58Speaker 2: of the film, because that's one thing I forgot to say.
- 55:00Speaker 2: I did fall asleep at one point.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Oh God, damn you.
- 55:04Speaker 2: And you know when I fell asleep? You know when
- 55:06Speaker 2: I fell asleep? God do you know when I fell asleep?
- 55:09Speaker 2: And when I fell asleep, I don't mean like all
- 55:11Speaker 2: the way asleep. I met like and you were doing
- 55:13Speaker 2: them like and it was brief because the whole film
- 55:18Speaker 2: when Wolverine was talking to Laura, I dozed to Laura.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Yeah, when they when they did like you camp fire, Yeah,
- 55:25Speaker 1: I would have fellow sleep at that bullshit.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Because it was just like stop happening, stop happening talking
- 55:30Speaker 2: and this this like forced trying to be emotional interaction,
- 55:36Speaker 2: you know, more bullshit. So I was just like, I
- 55:38Speaker 2: literally just started dozing because I was like, this is boring.
- 55:41Speaker 1: But uh.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I did that, oh ship in the movie. But yeah,
- 55:48Speaker 2: I give it. I would give it.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Set now you can't even be plus if if it
- 55:52Speaker 1: if it, if it dozed you, you gotta keep and
- 55:55Speaker 1: then it does me.
- 55:55Speaker 2: It was literally that one minute Sceneedlus plus. Yeah, what
- 56:03Speaker 2: I recommend it if if you want to watch them
- 56:05Speaker 2: ship that has no bearing on the rest of the
- 56:07Speaker 2: MCU have a blast if you want to go there
- 56:11Speaker 2: and like have something smart and something that gives you
- 56:16Speaker 2: pause and thought and things like that. This is not
- 56:18Speaker 2: the film for you.
- 56:19Speaker 1: No what I recommend it. I would say, out of
- 56:22Speaker 1: every summer movie I've seen this year, it's still the
- 56:26Speaker 1: probably lowest on my Listen. I haven't seen Twisters, and
- 56:29Speaker 1: I feel like Twisters would be a better U see
- 56:30Speaker 1: your tongue.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Oh damn.
- 56:32Speaker 1: I mean I think Twisters is probably entertaining, you know
- 56:35Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 56:35Speaker 2: You haven't even seen it yet, and it could be
- 56:37Speaker 2: something they could be on their bullshit like Independent Day too.
- 56:40Speaker 2: We don't know this yet. Ain't nothing touching. You are
- 56:42Speaker 2: not touching the ham of the garment of Twister. We're
- 56:45Speaker 2: not doing that, not yet. I know.
- 56:47Speaker 1: No, You're not. Twisted is great, but you know, like
- 56:50Speaker 1: Furiosa is definitely you know leagues, but is Ship.
- 56:52Speaker 2: You know, so you can't even compare. You can't compare
- 56:56Speaker 2: that that's s a T level words versus.
- 57:00Speaker 1: You know, elementary ab I think that's our view of
- 57:06Speaker 1: Deadpool and Wolverine. Thank you as always to everybody listening
