Speaker 2: seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: Story number one.
• 1:51
Speaker 2: Where do we even start now? When it comes to
• 1:54
Speaker 2: the victories that the President has given us and how
• 1:56
Speaker 2: the media continues to have egg on their face as
• 1:59
Speaker 2: they lie and they get it wrong. We also know
• 2:03
Speaker 2: that the President of the United States of America has
• 2:06
Speaker 2: had to fight other battles. That includes the legal battles
• 2:10
Speaker 2: that are coming at him as Democrats will appeal on
• 2:14
Speaker 2: anything to the Supreme Court. Now, the Supreme Court has
• 2:18
Speaker 2: ruled against President Donald Trump's plan to federalize and send
• 2:22
Speaker 2: three hundred Illinois National Guardsmen to the sanctuary city of
• 2:26
Speaker 2: Chicago to help protect immigration and Customers enforcement agents from
• 2:30
Speaker 2: the violent rioters there. You got to understand, in Chicago
• 2:34
Speaker 2: and in Illinois, you've got a hardcore leftist radical governor
• 2:38
Speaker 2: and Pritzker who doesn't care that he was the death
• 2:41
Speaker 2: capital of America in Chicago.
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: Now.
• 2:44
Speaker 2: In October, Trumpet sought to deploy the National Guard asss
• 2:47
Speaker 2: ICE agents, but a federal judge appointed by former President
• 2:51
Speaker 2: Joe Biden blocked the effort with a temporary restraining order.
• 2:54
Speaker 2: When the Trump administration asked the US Court of Appeals
• 2:57
Speaker 2: for the Seventh Circuit to stay the judges order, the
• 3:01
Speaker 2: Penalty Judges denied the administration's plea. That is, when the
• 3:05
Speaker 2: Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to stay the federal
• 3:09
Speaker 2: judge's order so National guardsmen could be deployed to Chicago. Well,
• 3:14
Speaker 2: this week, Scotis ruled in a six' to three decision
• 3:17
Speaker 2: that The trump administration court has failed to identify a
• 3:21
Speaker 2: source of authority that would allow the military to execute
• 3:24
Speaker 2: laws the laws In, illinois and therefore the administration's application
• 3:28
Speaker 2: for stay was. Denied now at the preliminary, stage the
• 3:32
Speaker 2: government has failed to identify a, source they, say of
• 3:34
Speaker 2: authority that would allow the military to execute the laws In.
• 3:38
Speaker 2: Illinois The president has not invoked a statue that provides
• 3:41
Speaker 2: an exception for. This, instead he relied on inherent constitutional authority,
• 3:48
Speaker 2: that according to the, government allows him to use the
• 3:50
Speaker 2: military to protect federal personnel and. Property but the government also,
• 3:54
Speaker 2: claimed consistent with the long standing view of the executive,
• 3:57
Speaker 2: branch that performing such protect to functions does not constitute
• 4:01
Speaker 2: executing the laws within the meaning of The. Act if
• 4:07
Speaker 2: that is, correct it's hard to see how performing those
• 4:10
Speaker 2: functions could constitute executing the laws under one twenty four
• 4:14
Speaker 2: h Six dash. Three This court does not lightly assume
• 4:18
Speaker 2: That congress silently silently attached attaches different meanings to the
• 4:23
Speaker 2: same term in the same term in the same or related. Statutes,
• 4:28
Speaker 2: thus at the least in this, posture the government has
• 4:30
Speaker 2: not carried its burden to show that the permit that
• 4:34
Speaker 2: this permits The president to federalize the guard in the
• 4:37
Speaker 2: expos of inherent authority to protect federal personnel and property In.
• 4:42
Speaker 2: Illinois we need not and do not address the reviewability
• 4:45
Speaker 2: of findings made by The president under one twenty four
• 4:49
Speaker 2: oh Six dash three or any other, statue the application
• 4:53
Speaker 2: to for stay is. Denied, Now Justice Robert Saidamaior, Kagan Amy,
• 5:00
Speaker 2: Cony Barrett Brown. Jackson they all backed the unsigned order
• 5:05
Speaker 2: By Justice Brett, kavanaugh who wrote a concurring. Opinion Justice
• 5:10
Speaker 2: alito wrote descending, opinion Which Justice thomas joined The Justice
• 5:14
Speaker 2: neil gorsa trot ascending opinion as, well saying, this whatever
• 5:20
Speaker 2: one may think about the current administration's enforcement of the
• 5:22
Speaker 2: immigration laws or the WAY ice has conducted its, operations
• 5:27
Speaker 2: the protection of federal officers from potentially lethal attacks should be.
• 5:31
Speaker 2: Thwarted alito wrote in these dissenting, OPINION i therefore respectfully.
• 5:36
Speaker 2: Dissent now this all goes back to the issue of
• 5:41
Speaker 2: if you are dealing with individuals who refuse to abide
• 5:46
Speaker 2: by the laws of the land and break the federal,
• 5:50
Speaker 2: laws should, you as a, citizen be held hostage in that?
• 5:54
Speaker 2: SCENARIO i would argue and say absolutely. Not, now there
• 6:00
Speaker 2: are many out there that believe that the states should
• 6:04
Speaker 2: have the ultimate rights on fighting crime and dealing with illegal.
• 6:08
Speaker 2: Immigration if they want to be sanctuary, cities that's what
• 6:11
Speaker 2: they should be able to. BE i think that is
• 6:13
Speaker 2: incredibly naive and incredibly. Stupid sanctuary cities destroy People's american citizens'.
• 6:21
Speaker 2: LIVES i think that's one of the things we should
• 6:24
Speaker 2: just straight up start. With not only do they destroy people's,
• 6:29
Speaker 2: lives BUT i also think that what The president has
• 6:35
Speaker 2: said here is he wants to keep people, safe even
• 6:37
Speaker 2: if you're in a liberal, area even if you've voted against.
• 6:40
Speaker 2: Him that's important to put that into. Context this is
• 6:45
Speaker 2: a president that's sitting in The National guarden to places
• 6:47
Speaker 2: Like memphis And chicago And, illinois et. Cetera and why
• 6:50
Speaker 2: is he doing? It because he wants to save people's.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: Lives that's. It he wants to save people's.
• 6:57
Speaker 1: Lives, now story number, two.
• 6:59
Speaker 2: This is what we're witnessing In. PENNSYLVANIA a rapid shift
• 7:05
Speaker 2: In pennsylvania's voter registration landscape is added to The Republican
• 7:08
Speaker 2: party's long term momentum in. State it's the swing. STATE
• 7:12
Speaker 2: a recent data shows a notable weekly game that continues
• 7:15
Speaker 2: to chip away at The democratic's. Edge it's been built
• 7:18
Speaker 2: over decades in a key battleground. State according to the
• 7:23
Speaker 2: newly released, report, Today republicans achieved a net game of twelve,
• 7:28
Speaker 2: thousand four hundred and eighty eight voter registrations over The
• 7:31
Speaker 2: democrats in a single. Week this game reflects a continuation
• 7:35
Speaker 2: of broader momentum for THE gop In, pennsylvania where The
• 7:38
Speaker 2: democratic advantage has been steadily shrinking over the past ten.
• 7:41
Speaker 2: Years as of, Now democrats do hold a registration lead
• 7:47
Speaker 2: of only forty nine, thousand five hundred and fifty eight.
• 7:51
Speaker 2: Voters let me give you that in comparison to twenty,
• 7:55
Speaker 2: sixteen When trump ran for, president the first, Time democrat
• 8:00
Speaker 2: had a lead when it came to registered voters of
• 8:04
Speaker 2: almost a million more In pennsylvania nine hundred and sixteen.
• 8:09
Speaker 2: Thousand change in twenty, sixteen that numbers now dropped to
• 8:11
Speaker 2: forty nine. Thousand now you compare that with the same
• 8:14
Speaker 2: period last, Year republicans have netted eighty two, thousand three
• 8:18
Speaker 2: hundred and twenty three new registrations over The. Democrats the
• 8:22
Speaker 2: surge alshow helped with the recent efforts By democrats to
• 8:27
Speaker 2: reactivate dormant voters and left landing. Strongholds it builds on
• 8:32
Speaker 2: a longer trend OF gop gains that have significantly altered
• 8:35
Speaker 2: the voter registration landscape In. Pennsylvania as. Well, now long
• 8:40
Speaker 2: term erosion of The democratic voter registration advantage In pennsylvania
• 8:44
Speaker 2: is easily easy to. Document In, august for, Example democrats
• 8:50
Speaker 2: lead a drop to just fifty nine, thousand one hundred
• 8:53
Speaker 2: and fifty three voters out of the more than eight
• 8:55
Speaker 2: point three million registered in the. State that represents one
• 9:01
Speaker 2: of the nearest gaps in recent. History the data all
• 9:04
Speaker 2: show shows that sends the twenty twenty four election, Cycle
