Transcript
- 0:00Oh, my gosh. I'm going to tell you guys a
- 0:01Horror Story, holy moly. And.
- 0:04And a few people have been like, once in a while, they'll bring
- 0:07it up to me like, Gina, remember that time you went over that
- 0:11perspective client's house? And I was like, Oh my God, I
- 0:14have to do a TikTok about that. All right.
- 0:15And so I was just on my live, and I mentioned it.
- 0:19I said, OK, I'm going to do my TikTok video about this now.
- 0:21All right. So it's a it's it's a blessing
- 0:24that I survived this situation. OK, I laugh.
- 0:26But listen to this matchmaking story time, right?
- 0:30So this has been about eight years ago now.
- 0:34Maybe. Maybe not that long.
- 0:36And so this guy came as a referral from another
- 0:39matchmaking service. That should have been my first
- 0:41clue. Like, why didn't they want to
- 0:42work with him? And he seemed OK, all right, at
- 0:45least on the phone and stuff. So usually what I do, and I
- 0:48still do, it's fine, thank God. Most of the time I go over
- 0:52people's houses. I like to see their homes.
- 0:54I like to see their lifestyle, OK And this guy lived in that
- 0:57gated community where the Kardashians lived.
- 0:59So. So, you know, it seemed legit,
- 1:03seemed fine. So I get there.
- 1:05It's just extremely hot day. I remember that it's like one of
- 1:08the hottest days of the year. And so I get over to his house.
- 1:11And his house was a little weird.
- 1:13It was like further in past. Like there was like
- 1:16neighborhoods, and it's a gated community, but it's
- 1:19neighborhoods. But then he lived like way, way
- 1:22back in way off the grid within the community, so his house
- 1:28seemed weird. He had a ton of very child, like
- 1:30things like, I don't know, a lot of dog stuff, but like oddly
- 1:37stuffed toys, a lot of sports memorabilia, but things that
- 1:41just didn't feel appropriate for, you know, like a grown ass
- 1:45man as professional. And then I guess he ended up
- 1:47saying that his parents live there with him now and he how
- 1:51old was he? Cuz I know that's what you're
- 1:52thinking. He was probably, I think he was
- 1:55like late 30s. I think he was like 38 maybe.
- 1:58OK. So anyway, for whatever reason
- 2:00he wants to give me a tour. He gave me a tour of his house.
- 2:02I was a little odd, but nothing worrisome yet at that point.
- 2:06Hang on. So then he takes me out of his
- 2:10house and then we're walking around to the back.
- 2:12He's like, oh, I'll show you the back.
- 2:13I'll show you my workshop or whatever he has.
- 2:16I don't know what he called this thing.
- 2:17My office, maybe come up back here and come to my office.
- 2:20OK, so we go in the back. And then it's like far.
- 2:23And it's kind of like Dirt Rd. Weird.
- 2:26I'm telling you, it was in this gated Kardashian community, but
- 2:30there was just this really weird offshoot place.
- 2:32It was a big house. But then he's taking me out back
- 2:35around the back and it's like like kind of like a cornfield
- 2:40looking place. I'm, I'm not kidding.
- 2:42Like I was saying to myself, what the fuck is going on here?
- 2:45But I was just, you know, going along with it.
- 2:48But by the minute, by minute by minute I was like getting more
- 2:51worried and more like what's going on here?
- 2:53And so he says, well come on. And then he takes me and it's
- 2:55just this like shack, like you know, like a shed, like a shed,
- 2:59like a not a broken down shed, but it was like a new shed but
- 3:02it had no windows, OK. And it and it was like way back,
- 3:05far from his house. And I've got my computer.
- 3:08I'm there to do my work, you know, or show him, you know, I'm
- 3:11just showing profiles of women or whatever.
- 3:13And so now we go into this shed thing and I was just like he's
- 3:17like come on in. And I was like, I mean it was a
- 3:21small shed. He had a desk in there, no
- 3:24windows. He had a air conditioning unit.
- 3:26And of course, he had to turn on the air conditioning unit, which
- 3:28also worried me because who's going to hear me scream if I
- 3:32need to in this, in this windowless shed way off from the
- 3:37house with air conditioning going?
- 3:40So I am, like, honestly worried sick at this point.
- 3:43I'm getting so worried. And then I'm like, but I'm
- 3:46playing along because I don't really know what to do.
- 3:48And so I sit at the desk and he's right up against next to
- 3:51me, right, because there's no room in the shed.
- 3:54And I I'm just like, praying to God that this thing's going to
- 3:57work out in my favor. And I say, OK, I'm going to
- 4:00connect to the Internet. What's the password?
- 4:03You know what he said? Duct tape.
- 4:07Duct tape was the password. Was his password.
- 4:11Do you know that I I should have just, like, ran out the door?
- 4:16I I stayed. I had the meeting.
- 4:18I did the password. I survived it, ended up OK.
- 4:21But I don't know, like that was like the most weirdest, mind
- 4:26blowingly creepiest thing. Obviously you didn't become a
- 4:29client thing that I've ever experienced in the matchmaking
- 4:32business. OK, OK.
