- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: Balanced Life Chiropractic. We have doctor Harley with us. Hello,
- 0:04Speaker 1: doctor Harley, Hey John, we're one week ahead of Thanksgiving here,
- 0:08Speaker 1: we're sneaking right up on that. You're gonna have kind
- 0:10Speaker 1: of special hours next week next week, right right?
- 0:12Speaker 2: You know we're gonna be closed on Thursday.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Why are you gonna be closed?
- 0:16Speaker 2: I think because most of them be sitting down to
- 0:18Speaker 2: some turkey dinner and myself included.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Are you closing on Black Friday as well?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yes, we're not ever open on Fridays.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, then I suppose you're always closed on Friday, so yes,
- 0:26Speaker 1: you would also be closed on Black Friday. But you're
- 0:28Speaker 1: gonna have a little extra time earlier in the week
- 0:30Speaker 1: for people who need to get in, right yep.
- 0:32Speaker 2: So Tuesday, we'll add a two hour shift in the afternoon.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Youtub we're only nine to twelve thirty on Tuesdays, but
- 0:37Speaker 2: then we're gonna go four to six Tuesday evening and
- 0:41Speaker 2: then Wednesday, usually it's nine to noon and three to six.
- 0:44Speaker 2: We're gonna do nine to noon and three to five.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Very very nice.
- 0:47Speaker 1: So if you would like to get in, if you're
- 0:50Speaker 1: already a client, you can adjust to make that. But
- 0:52Speaker 1: if you're not, if you're going, why would I need
- 0:53Speaker 1: to go see a chiropractice. There's so many reasons. But
- 0:56Speaker 1: one of the things that I want to talk about,
- 0:57Speaker 1: and we'll talk more about this next week because Thanksgiving
- 0:59Speaker 1: next week, but that is something again, it's it's making
- 1:03Speaker 1: your whole body communicate with itself, so it helps even
- 1:05Speaker 1: with digestion.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Right? We've touched on this one a few times. You know,
- 1:10Speaker 2: if you've been listening to this for years, you know,
- 1:13Speaker 2: the chiropramic can help with a lot of things.
- 1:14Speaker 3: We've talked about everything, and some of them twice.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Are multiple times, you know, because they're so common.
- 1:19Speaker 1: There are, yeah, and there are times of the year
- 1:21Speaker 1: where it's important to talk about those.
- 1:22Speaker 3: But let's talk about the digestion thing.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, And people might think, how does chiropractical help with
- 1:27Speaker 2: my digestion? Well, as we've talked about, you know, the
- 1:30Speaker 2: brain is the control command center of.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Our body and computer.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's communicating through our entire body all the
- 1:36Speaker 2: way down to our fingertips, and it's through our nervous system, right. Well,
- 1:40Speaker 2: that nervous system also goes to our stomach, our small
- 1:43Speaker 2: and large intestines, our liver, pancreas, all these different digestive organs.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Right everywhere, even your pinky toe right.
- 1:49Speaker 2: And if there's an issue with that communication in your
- 1:52Speaker 2: brain and say your stomach or any of those other
- 1:54Speaker 2: ones we just listed off, you know, that can lead
- 1:57Speaker 2: to poor digestion. It could be you know, we see
- 2:00Speaker 2: acid reflux is really common, or eatable bowel type syndromes,
- 2:04Speaker 2: or constipation or diarrhea, or you know, all sorts of
- 2:06Speaker 2: different things that you know, disrupt and irritate our digestive system.
- 2:11Speaker 2: So we're you know, we're already thinking about Thanksgiving next week,
- 2:13Speaker 2: that turkey dinner, and maybe like man, I don't know
- 2:15Speaker 2: how to eat like this big meal next week. All
- 2:18Speaker 2: these things I love, but I don't love the after effects.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Of this large dinner, gain a weight, to trip the fan,
- 2:25Speaker 1: making you fall asleep, all of those things.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Or you know, maybe all these You've started realizing the
- 2:30Speaker 2: last couple of months that a lot of these foods
- 2:31Speaker 2: start to really upset your stomach or you know, throw
- 2:34Speaker 2: off your digestis system. Well, this is a good time
- 2:37Speaker 2: to get that checked up, tuned up right before that
- 2:40Speaker 2: big dinner, because we're going to help make sure that
- 2:43Speaker 2: your brain is communicating with your stomach. Your stomach's going
- 2:46Speaker 2: to your brain. Hey, we've got food in here. Let's
- 2:48Speaker 2: turn on those acid pumps. Get some digestive enzymes going,
- 2:52Speaker 2: food's gone away, right, We're done eating, done digesting. Our
- 2:55Speaker 2: our stomach should tell our brain, hey, shut off the
- 2:57Speaker 2: acid pumps. Were done eating. We don't need any more
- 2:59Speaker 2: of that. But if your brain doesn't get that message,
- 3:01Speaker 2: we've had a continuation of that acid. So now we
- 3:04Speaker 2: start having an excessive amount of acid in our stomach.
- 3:06Speaker 3: And is that where like acid reflux comes from.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where we get acid reflux or heartburn or
- 3:11Speaker 2: things like that. So it makes sense that we might
- 3:14Speaker 2: have these issues if those things aren't communicating. And sometimes
- 3:17Speaker 2: that can be as simple as there's a bone out
- 3:19Speaker 2: of alignment in your mid back or even up in
- 3:22Speaker 2: your neck pension something yeah, affecting how those nerves are
- 3:25Speaker 2: functioning and disrupting that message between the two organs that
- 3:29Speaker 2: need to communicate.
- 3:30Speaker 1: If somebody listening is going, hey, I'd like to check
- 3:32Speaker 1: into that because I've got this issue or that issue.
- 3:34Speaker 1: If you have any issue and you're wondering, I would
- 3:36Speaker 1: encourage you to reach out.
