  Speaker 1: me so fearful of being abducted in watching movies like

  Speaker 1: Signs didn't help with that fear. The moment that alien

  Speaker 1: came out of those bushes, my heart came out of
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: my body. So for a good chunk of my childhood
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: I had a fear of a bright light taking me
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: up into a ship from my bed. And yes, I
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: was a huge scaredy cat when I was younger, at
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: least when it comes to the strange and unusual, And
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: yet I also loved it. I've always been contradictory like that.

  Speaker 1: But with all of that said, I've never been for
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: sure if I believe in aliens, because of course it
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: would be insane to think we are all that is
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: in the universe, but also my my mind cannot wrap

  Speaker 1: itself around the idea of them, which I can admit

  Speaker 1: might be from my childhood fear that's probably still buried

  Speaker 1: deep down. So why don't we listen to some people's
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: experiences and see if I can't cure myself completely of
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: this fear, or see if I end up bringing up
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: old phobia's once again. This first story was from a
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: subreddit called Paranormal Encounters. People who's encountered an alien? What's
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: your story? As a teenager, I had a strange series
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: of unexplained interactions with three different visitors around the age
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: of fifteen or so. All three were during some stage
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: of sleep, So your typical start to an alien encounter
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: and the reason I was scared to go to sleep
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: at night. Sometimes I'm serious, I really hope this isn't
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: going to bring back an old phobia mine, because I
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: swear I'm going to be mad at myself for doing this.

  Speaker 1: The first experience was late at night, after I had
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: been asleep for a few hours and seemingly woke up
• 3:28
  Speaker 1: for no reason. I woke up in a slight fog
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: and became very lucent to the presence of someone or
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: something nearby. I remained still and pretended to sleep with
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: my eyes still closed as I heard my bedroom door
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: quietly open, and I could hear the sound of little
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: footsteps on my carpet as this visitor entered my room. Nope,

  Speaker 1: if I knew that wasn't a ghost or something like that,
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: I'd cease to exist, probably because my heart would have
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: threw itself into my butthole. This whole time, I could
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: feel their presence slowly moving from the door at the
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: left side foot of the bed and make their way
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: around to the right side of the bed, where the
• 4:27
  Speaker 1: moonlight was flooding into my room. I feel like I
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: could see the room itself as this was happening, but
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: not the visitor. Are are you sure this wasn't a
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: spirit messing with you? Because how could you not see
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: them but you could see the room. That's kind of weird,
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: or is it. I felt them stop, and it was
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: as if they were either watching me or watching the
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: moon outside the window. Oh, they sound like me whenever
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: I see the moon. Maybe they were just admiring her.
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: She's so pretty and how could you not stop and
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: stare at her? I was frozen as my instincts told
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: me to basically play dead, as if I were being
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: observed by a predatory animal like a bear or a
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: great white shark, who wouldn't attack me if it didn't
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: feel a reason to. I didn't feel like I was
• 5:41
  Speaker 1: so much frightened, as I was just frozen and very confused,
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: yet somehow very aware of the passing of time, which
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: felt like I was nearly suspended in time. I remember
• 6:00
  Speaker 1: to this visitor telepathically in my mind, asking it if
• 6:04
  Speaker 1: it could hear me, or if so, to give me
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: a sign. Next thing I know, I woke up and
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: forgot anything happened until I remember that my door was
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: locked when I went to bed, and that it was
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: unlocked when I woke up for school that morning. It
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: didn't occur to me until later that day. I don't
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: know what it was, but I have vivid memories every
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: night since I was a kid, and ninety nine percent
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: of them are not like this was. It feels like
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: a memory of an experience, not a distant dream. I
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: remember every detail today, and I'm twenty eight now. I
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: understand being frozen and scared, but not gonna lie. This
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: moonchild didn't seem like they were wanting to hurt You

  Speaker 1: could be wrong because I don't know why they would

  Speaker 1: have been in your room, but it seems like they

  Speaker 1: left the moment you tried to talk to them, almost

  Speaker 1: like they were scared of you. But who knows. You

  Speaker 1: could have some memories awaken and change all of this.

  Speaker 1: The next was a dream where I was lucid in
• 7:22
  Speaker 1: the dream because I was suddenly aware of someone else
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: watching me. In this dream, I was walking through an
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: empty playground at night when I noticed this very, very
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: very handsome person sitting on top of one of those
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: metal climbing structures that was shaped like a dome. You
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: mean a monkey bars. The moon was shining brightly in
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: the moonlight saturated everything blue. Seriously, are we sure these
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: are elis and not some kind of moon being sent
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: to you by the moon? Seems weird. The moon is
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: a focus point, and both of these encounters so far,
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: this person triggered the most visceral reaction from me, like
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: meeting a soulmate or someone I felt deep love and
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: familiarity with. Yeah, they also triggered the uncanny Valley for
• 8:30
  Speaker 1: me too, not helping me think this isn't just a
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: spiritual being of some kind. My instincts noticed something was off.
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: They looked too perfect to be human. I said to
• 8:46
  Speaker 1: them telepathically, I know what you are. Say it vampire
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: and take it back. They're Edward Colin's now and they're
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: just living out their twilight dream, to which they smirked
• 9:03
  Speaker 1: at me with unwavering eye contact and said, I know
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: you do. And I was both suspicious and intrigued. Don't
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: trust them. You'll end up with a weird cgi baby
• 9:18
  Speaker 1: that haunts everyone's nightmares. Unless you're into that, then you
• 9:23
  Speaker 1: do you, I guess, just don't let a werewolf imprint
• 9:27
  Speaker 1: on it. That's still weird to me. I don't care
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: what she says. Next thing, I know. We were at
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: the end of a long discussion I wasn't present for,
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: and I asked this person something I don't recall. They
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: responded with, well, are you really sure you want to
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: know the truth? And I nodded. They said you will
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: know one day, but for now, this is going to hurt.

  Speaker 1: And then I'm laying on my stomach with my back exposed,
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: and they pull out some sort of technology like you
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: would see in a sci fi movie, but more advanced,
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: and it had a long needle coming off of it,
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: and they gave me a spinal tap that burned so
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: much that it woke me up from my sleep. I
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: felt the residual ache on my spine lingering after I
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: woke up for a few minutes. I hope you didn't
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: end up with a dish coming out of your ass,
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: cause this kind of sounds familiar. It was the same
• 10:44
  Speaker 1: atmosphere I felt in my room in the last story too,
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: and seemingly the same time at night two, with the
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: moonlight coming into my window. I fell asleep with no
• 10:57
  Speaker 1: memory of it other than some consciously referring to this
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: person as my cosmic husband or cosmic soulmate, and I
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: still to this day have some deep knowing that I
• 11:11
  Speaker 1: will see them again one day. I don't know. They
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: sound like they gave you the Cartman treatment. Not sure
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: i'd want a soulmate like that. The last was a
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: frightening and disorientating sleep paralys encounter during a nap I
• 11:28
  Speaker 1: was taking in the afternoon after school. I had barely
• 11:33
  Speaker 1: fallen asleep when I seemingly woke up. I thought it
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: was odd how fast my nap went by. As I
• 11:44
  Speaker 1: just laid down, everything in my room was normal, except
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: I noticed a lamp in the corner of it that
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: was there before. Then my internal alarm began to go off,

  Speaker 1: and I felt a wave of dread wash over me,
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: and I noticed a heart figure standing behind the lamp.
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: I panicked and felt like I suddenly was in danger
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: or something sinister was after me. I closed my eyes,
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: thinking it was a dream, and I opened them to
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: see this disturbing entity staring me in the face with
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: the most unnatural smile. It looked sort of like Baltimore
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: from Harry Potter, with the grin of the cheshire cat.
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: I tried to scream and nothing came out, so I
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: closed my eyes and felt my chest get heavier. I
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: eventually woke myself up in a panic and sweating. I
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: had only been asleep for less than thirty minutes, and
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: I pretty much felt drained of all of my inner
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: and went into the family room where my mom was
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: and crashed on the couch with no explanation. My mom
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: told me it was strange I was asleep at all,
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: because she said she heard me moving around in my
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: room nearby and figured I was awake. I was asleep
• 13:23
  Speaker 1: the whole time. Again, are we really sure these are
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: alien encounters? And not something more otherworldly, like from the
• 13:38
  Speaker 1: other side, not from outer space. I don't know. Maybe
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: it's because I have never felt comfortable when it comes
• 13:47
  Speaker 1: to aliens. It's just to me, all these feel more
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: paranormal and less beings from another planet. If I'm wrong,
• 13:57
  Speaker 1: let me know, because again, this has never been my
• 14:01
  Speaker 1: kind of thing. Never had these experiences. Again, not why,
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: But as someone who's a medium and a cult magician today,
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: I know that whatever these were, they weren't remotely supernatural
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: or paranormal. They were extraterrestrial or at least very interdimensional
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: and intentional. I've had lucid dreams with entities today due
• 14:36
  Speaker 1: to my spiritual practices, but nothing like the last encounter,
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: which was horrifying, and the first two encounters were surreal
• 14:45
  Speaker 1: yet still felt very celestial to me. The cosmic being
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: I felt I still feel connected to. So you are
• 15:00
  Speaker 1: into the occult. I know a lot of mediums talk
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: to extraterrestrials and the such, so I mean it's possible
• 15:08
  Speaker 1: you are connected to them in some way, But it
• 15:12
  Speaker 1: is also possible something else is calling you, like the
• 15:16
  Speaker 1: moon or something connected to the moon. Again, I could
• 15:24
  Speaker 1: be so wrong about this, but from the outside. Most
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: of this feels more like the spiritual playing to me.
• 15:34
  Speaker 1: That last thing could have been what do they call them?
• 15:39
  Speaker 1: Is it a spying spirit? Oh? I don't remember for sure,
• 15:44
  Speaker 1: but basically, it's a being that is sent to you
• 15:48
  Speaker 1: to attack you and spy on you. A lot of times,
• 15:53
  Speaker 1: it's a jealous person that wants to see you mess up.
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: So the being is sent to mess with you in
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: any way it can, which could be through your sleep too,
• 16:04
  Speaker 1: making you have nightmares and such to make you lose
• 16:07
  Speaker 1: sleep so you're drained of your energy. In the fact
• 16:12
  Speaker 1: that it never came back, your spirit team could have
• 16:17
  Speaker 1: taken care of that or get banished it yourself without
• 16:20
  Speaker 1: realizing it all right. This next story I also found

  Speaker 1: in the comments of that same post, and it starts

  Speaker 1: two thousand and eight in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, mid fall.

  Speaker 1: I'm not fully sure what that means, but okay. I

  Speaker 1: was new to the country and was at a boarding school.

  Speaker 1: I had one roommate who was very quiet and found
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: out he can sleep through a storm. One night, I'm
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: the last one to go to bed. I finished up,

  Speaker 1: get to my room, lock the door and the windows closed,
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: and the roommate was dead asleep. I'm in my bed
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: facing the wall. I hear three knocks. I didn't think
• 17:15
  Speaker 1: much of it. Then I turned around in my bed
• 17:19
  Speaker 1: and I opened my eyes because I couldn't fall asleep.

  Speaker 1: That's when I saw one looked like your standard Ellie
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: and Gray's, but was more pale, had large eyes, but
• 17:35
  Speaker 1: I could make out that it was squinting. You know what,
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: This this would have been the thing that sent my
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: heart into my butt. Absolutely also, absolutely not could not
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: be me. It was about a meter tall, about a
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: meter away from me, near my roommate's bed, head of
• 17:58
  Speaker 1: the bed. As I looked at it, it turned its
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: head slowly and we made eye contact. Yeah. No, it
• 18:09
  Speaker 1: could not have been me. This would have sent me
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: into such a spiral. I hate this. Why am I
• 18:18
  Speaker 1: reading these again? I'd rather be reading about demons or
• 18:23
  Speaker 1: something at this point, because this is making me wanted
• 18:27
  Speaker 1: to throw up at the thought of being face to
• 18:30
  Speaker 1: face with any alien like that. As soon as we

  Speaker 1: made eye contact, my eyes went shut and I was paralyzed.

  Speaker 1: Not sure if it was out of fear or if
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: it did something to me, or a combination of both.

  Speaker 1: It felt like fifteen seconds or so before my fight
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: or flight kicked in and I broke free of that paralysis.

  Speaker 1: I quickly set up in my bed, yelling. I'd be

  Speaker 1: yelling for a whole different reason. Also, I could see

  Speaker 1: your brain shutting down, not knowing how to process what

  Speaker 1: you're seeing in front of you. I flicked on my

  Speaker 1: bedlight and looked around. Nothing around door and windows still
• 19:23
  Speaker 1: closed and locked. My roommate's still asleep. I stayed up
• 19:29
  Speaker 1: for about twenty minutes, checked outside of the room and everywhere.

  Speaker 1: Nothing in our room is so high up from the
• 19:38
  Speaker 1: ground that you need a very tall jaws ladder to
• 19:43
  Speaker 1: get to it from the outside. After I calmed myself,
• 19:47
  Speaker 1: I gave up on staying awake and went back to bed.
• 19:51
  Speaker 1: I was just getting over it when I heard three
• 19:55
  Speaker 1: knocks again. Because I was now on high alert, it

  Speaker 1: registered to me this time that was three knocks on glass,
• 20:06
  Speaker 1: our window glass, to be specific. So I didn't waste
• 20:11
  Speaker 1: any time. I shot up, flicked the light on, and
• 20:15
  Speaker 1: rushed to the window. Nothing no lights, no craft, no alien.
• 20:23
  Speaker 1: I had no explanation. Never had another encounter after this,
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: but man, I wish I was more calm and didn't
• 20:32
  Speaker 1: close my eyes. Maybe I scared it away. Maybe it
• 20:37
  Speaker 1: got what it came for. I don't think it was
• 20:41
  Speaker 1: there for me because it was standing near my roommate.

  Speaker 1: I didn't keep in touch with the roommate too. After
• 20:49
  Speaker 1: the new year, they swapped him with another student, also
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: from Iran because he was not getting along with his
• 20:57
  Speaker 1: Korean roommates. He had an attitude and they pranked him

  Speaker 1: a lot. Did he have the attitude before or after
• 21:07
  Speaker 1: the branking, because if it was after, I don't blame
• 21:11
  Speaker 1: him for having one. I'd be annoyed too. Oh but
• 21:17
  Speaker 1: about the alien, it probably was scared off by you.
• 21:21
  Speaker 1: Clearly it didn't expect to be seen. Can't believe you
• 21:25
  Speaker 1: stayed in that room at all after that, though, I've
• 21:31

  Speaker 1: What the hell is that? The questionnaires they had me

  Speaker 1: go through was tedious, But man, I think some people

  Speaker 1: have had much more eventful experiences based on those. My

  Speaker 1: whole encounter must have been under two minutes top. It

  Speaker 1: is not a paradolia effect because nothing was in that

  Speaker 1: area of the room that could trick my eyes. It

  Speaker 1: was not sleep paralysis because I have experienced those in
• 22:13
  Speaker 1: the following years here and there, and it's a completely
• 22:18
  Speaker 1: different thing. When I have sleep paralysis, I can try
• 22:24
  Speaker 1: to move, but my whole body is slow, and I
• 22:28
  Speaker 1: can open my eyes and see stuff in the corner
• 22:31
  Speaker 1: of my vision. This one felt like I was just
• 22:35
  Speaker 1: instantly locked up, and as soon as I broke free,
• 22:39
  Speaker 1: it was instantly gone, not slowness. I shot up fast.

  Speaker 1: It was not another student pranking us, because I would
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: have noticed them coming in, as our locks are loud
• 22:54
  Speaker 1: and I'm too paranoid about theft, so I always locked
• 22:58
  Speaker 1: the door. We didn't have any space in that room
• 23:01
  Speaker 1: for anyone to hide in, and even so after I
• 23:06
  Speaker 1: would have seen them leave. Paranoid or not, everybody should
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: be locking their doors. That's just smart. I can give
• 23:18
  Speaker 1: more details about the room to paint you a picture
• 23:22
  Speaker 1: of the room. We had it simple. From the door
• 23:26
  Speaker 1: to the window. We each had a closet bed, chair
• 23:30
  Speaker 1: desk with a reading light above the bed in that
• 23:34
  Speaker 1: one meter space between us to get around. At best,
• 23:39
  Speaker 1: we could use that space to do push ups. Yeah,
• 23:44
  Speaker 1: clearly a dorm isn't going to have much space for
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: someone to not only get into your room but also
• 23:51
  Speaker 1: hide in it without being seen. Still, I wonder what
• 23:56
  Speaker 1: it was doing there, Like was it trying to do
• 23:59
  Speaker 1: something to your room or was it curious about something else? Maybe?

  Speaker 1: So for this last one, it's simply called I Think

  Speaker 1: I saw an alien. So I was driving home just
• 24:16
  Speaker 1: a little bit ago, and it's important for me to
• 24:19
  Speaker 1: say that I live in the middle of the country.

  Speaker 1: I'm talking field surrounding all four sides of my house,
• 24:27
  Speaker 1: middle of nowhere type of country. So I'm driving blasting

  Speaker 1: my music when I see something almost but not quite
• 24:38
  Speaker 1: human standing in the field. There are no cars around,
• 24:44
  Speaker 1: and my house is the only one for a couple

  Speaker 1: of miles. It's about ten thirty at this point, so

  Speaker 1: if someone was there, I would have seen their car

  Speaker 1: At some point. I instantly get an unsettling feeling in

  Speaker 1: my chest, to the point where I had to slow
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: down and turn off my music. My house is only

  Speaker 1: a mile maybe a mile and a half from where
• 25:12
  Speaker 1: I saw this, so when I park in my driveway,

  Speaker 1: I can see this field from inside my car, and
• 25:21
  Speaker 1: right above where I saw the figure, there is a
• 25:25
  Speaker 1: bright red glowing light in the sky. It's way too
• 25:31
  Speaker 1: low to be a star, and it kept moving like
• 25:38
  Speaker 1: it was hovering there. The light kept getting brighter than
• 25:42
  Speaker 1: dimmer as I'm staring at it. I tried to capture
• 25:47
  Speaker 1: it on video, but it wouldn't show up on my phone.

  Speaker 1: I could get the stars above it, but this red
• 25:55
  Speaker 1: light would not show up no matter how close I
• 25:58
  Speaker 1: zoomed in. Then as soon as I put my phone down,

  Speaker 1: it started moving fast. It went about half of a
• 26:11
  Speaker 1: mile before it got way brighter and just disappeared in
• 26:16
  Speaker 1: the sky, nowhere to be seen. I got out of
• 26:21
  Speaker 1: my car and looked around for a moment, but it
• 26:25
  Speaker 1: had just vanished. Now I'm stuck with this unsettling feeling
• 26:35
  Speaker 1: as I sit at home. Is it me or does
• 26:41
  Speaker 1: that alien sound drunk? Because what in the world was
