Monday October 5 2026 | Midterms, Pike Execution, Kennedy for President? · The M&M Experience

• 0:01
Speaker 1: Welcome to a meeting of the minds crafted from decades
• 0:05
Speaker 1: of talk show experience. An extension of the magic they've
• 0:08
Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
• 0:16
Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
• 0:23
Speaker 2: It is the 5th of October and here in Texas
• 0:27
Speaker 2: where I am and maybe where you are. I don't
• 0:30
Speaker 2: even know where you are, wherever you are. We're so
• 0:31
Speaker 2: grateful to have you here. Boy, first of all, here's
• 0:34
Speaker 2: the clue. Look at this. If you're watching, what are these?
• 0:38
Speaker 2: I scarcely recognize them. They're long sleeves. What is this?
• 0:43
Speaker 2: What kind of sorcery is this? It's long sleeves. Haven't
• 0:46
Speaker 2: needed this in seemingly forever. It was like 64 when
• 0:49
Speaker 2: I got in the car this morning. And if you're
• 0:51
Speaker 2: listening in Michigan, it's probably snowing already. But it's a
• 0:54
Speaker 2: Texas thing, so just ride with me here a little bit.
• 0:57
Speaker 2: And do me the honor of riding with me solo.
• 1:00
Speaker 2: Our buddy Mike Gallagher, the other M in this M &
• 1:03
Speaker 2: M Extra Enterprise. I'm Mark Davis, longtime DFW talk show
• 1:07
Speaker 2: host here on 660 AM The Answer and the Salem
• 1:10
Speaker 2: Media Group Wonderland. And Mike, of course, has been a
• 1:13
Speaker 2: national radio fixture forever. And every once in a while,
• 1:16
Speaker 2: we both get time off. And when that happens, doggone it,
• 1:18
Speaker 2: the other guy just steps up. And such is the
• 1:21
Speaker 2: case today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Mike is back on Thursday.
• 1:25
Speaker 2: We'll have some big shindig planned, and who knows what
• 1:27
Speaker 2: will have happened by then. But in the meantime, thanks
• 1:29
Speaker 2: for hanging out with us wherever you do, and thanks
• 1:31
Speaker 2: for the people who make it all possible, like our
• 1:34
Speaker 2: friends at Preborn. You can stand for life today. By
• 1:38
Speaker 2: joining us and providing ultrasounds to girls and women, you
• 1:41
Speaker 2: will double the likelihood she will choose life. Just call 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY,
• 1:49
Speaker 2: or go to preborn.com slash mmextra. That is preborn.com slash mmextra.
• 1:57
Speaker 2: More on those good people later on. So there's some
• 2:00
Speaker 2: good people we're trying to get across the finish line
• 2:03
Speaker 2: here in the midterms. I played the Angela Paxton ad
• 2:06
Speaker 2: on my local show this morning. If Ken Paxton's wife
• 2:10
Speaker 2: can see her way clear to some courage and some
• 2:12
Speaker 2: clarity and say, I love the way she phrases it.
• 2:15
Speaker 2: Let's talk about the elephant in the room, she says.
• 2:19
Speaker 2: Useful because the elephant is, of course, the mascot of
• 2:21
Speaker 2: the Republican Party, and the elephant in the room concept
• 2:24
Speaker 2: is the thing that everybody knows is there, but you
• 2:26
Speaker 2: just don't want to talk about. And she said, look,
• 2:29
Speaker 2: I'll talk about it. Sometimes it's not about the individuals
• 2:32
Speaker 2: on the team, but getting the entire team across the
• 2:34
Speaker 2: finish line. What a creative, wonderful, and inspiring way for
• 2:38
Speaker 2: her to get on board and do what it is.
• 2:41
Speaker 2: For her to be able to do this and John
• 2:43
  Speaker 2: Cornyn can't, I can't even. I just can't even. And
• 2:48
Speaker 2: with regard to the midterms, the war and affordability are
• 2:54
Speaker 2: supposed to be the things that are the albatrosses around
• 2:57
Speaker 2: our necks as Republicans. And look, affordability is real. Things
• 3:02
Speaker 2: are expensive. But on both the war and affordability, is
• 3:07
Speaker 2: there any universe in which Democrats have better answers? Is
• 3:12
Speaker 2: there any Democrat who is, Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona
• 3:15
Speaker 2: talked about his affordability plan and took about 30 seconds
• 3:19
Speaker 2: for him to get into tax increases. Tax increases? Does
• 3:22
Speaker 2: that make anything more affordable for anybody? So as Republicans
• 3:26
Speaker 2: get this question time and time and time again, let's
• 3:29
Speaker 2: try something crazy. pivot it back and say, okay, ask
• 3:33
Speaker 2: any Democrat, what would you do to make it better?
• 3:36
Speaker 2: Let me give you a clip of Fox News. This
• 3:39
Speaker 2: is cut six. Affordability, my answer is, red states are
• 3:44
Speaker 2: more affordable than blue states. Let's run America like a
• 3:47
Speaker 2: red state. Would that take 30 seconds? Iran might take
• 3:51
Speaker 2: a little bit longer, but I have asked rhetorically and directly,
• 3:55
Speaker 2: and I ask you now, shouldn't it be worth something
• 4:00
Speaker 2: Can we all grasp that a non-nuclear Iran is safer?
• 4:06
Speaker 2: It means it's safer for the region, safer for Israel,
• 4:08
Speaker 2: safer for the Middle East, and safer for us, U.S.
• 4:12
Speaker 2: So this is a snippet of Fox News coverage. This
• 4:15
Speaker 2: is cut six, essentially talking about something I think we
• 4:19
Speaker 2: should be able to garner some appreciation for, that Iran
• 4:22
Speaker 2: is just not a nuclear power anymore.
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: Go.
• 4:29
Speaker 4: We have a decision that I'll make about Iran. Iran's
• 4:33
Speaker 4: been decimated. So the only question is, it'll either be
• 4:37
Speaker 4: the easy way or the hard way. We'll have it
• 4:40
Speaker 4: the easy way or the hard way.
• 4:42
  Speaker 2: What's your question?
• 4:43
  Speaker 3: What's your question?
• 4:48
Speaker 4: I inherited high costs from the Democrats or the Democrats,
• 4:53
Speaker 4: as I call them, because their policy is so bad.
• 4:57
Speaker 4: But we inherited a lot and we've gotten the prices down.
• 5:00
Speaker 4: Oil is coming down. Oil is right now lower and
• 5:03
Speaker 4: it's been lower than it was under the Biden administration.
• 5:07
Speaker 4: And they did nothing about the fact that Iran cannot
• 5:10
Speaker 4: have a nuclear weapon. By the way, Iran, as you know,
• 5:12
Speaker 4: is virtually giving up any plans of a nuclear weapon.
• 5:18
Speaker 2: That ought to be worth something. Iran has given up
• 5:21
Speaker 2: a plan for a nuclear weapon. Now, you want $ 10 gas?
• 5:25
Speaker 2: Get Iran a nuclear weapon. Because then it's like, we're
• 5:27
Speaker 2: going to shut down the Strait. We're going to have
• 5:29
Speaker 2: $ 9 or $ 10 gas. What are we going to do
• 5:30
Speaker 2: about it? What can we do about it? Because Iran
• 5:32
Speaker 2: has a nuke. But they don't. And the war, the
• 5:36
Speaker 2: very admittedly dicey and unpopular war we're in is why.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: But Iran without a nuke is good. Red states are
• 5:44
Speaker 2: better than blue states on affordability. So can we lather, rinse,
• 5:49
Speaker 2: and repeat on that for the coming 29 days? Here's
• 5:54
Speaker 2: something we repeat a lot around here, and that is
• 5:56
Speaker 2: Mike's journey with PhD weight loss. And it's just been
• 5:59
Speaker 2: an inspiring thing because you can tell. It's kind of
• 6:02
Speaker 2: funny because we don't do full body shots here on
• 6:07
Speaker 2: the podcast. It's probably a good thing. But in Mike's case,
• 6:10
Speaker 2: it would be a slimmer Mike. And you can kind
• 6:12
Speaker 2: of tell in somebody's face, in their neck, in their face.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: just the way they present even from the neck up.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: And so as Mike has described, PhD weight loss has
• 6:22
Speaker 2: been an amazing, amazing journey. But Dr. Ashley Lucas and
• 6:26
Speaker 2: her team and their client data survey reveal that eight
• 6:29
Speaker 2: out of 10 PhD clients dropped 10% or more of
• 6:34
Speaker 2: their body weight and 96% reported better energy. So you
• 6:39
Speaker 2: can schedule a consultation today and And see what Mike
• 6:42
Speaker 2: already knows. Mention Mike G when you call him. He'll
• 6:45
Speaker 2: give you the number and the website in a minute.
• 6:47
Speaker 2: And you get two free weeks in the program. They'll
• 6:48
Speaker 2: even cover the cost of your food. That adds up
• 6:50
Speaker 2: to about $ 1, 500. So there's Ashley Lucas telling you about
• 6:55
Speaker 2: it there on the B-roll. And her team is just great.
• 6:58
Speaker 2: And the phone number is 864-644-1900.
• 6:59
  Speaker 3: That's 864-644-1900.
• 6:59
Speaker 2: 1900 to go to myphdweightloss.com. Mention Mike G or Mike
• 7:08
Speaker 2: and Mark or Eminem Extra. They'll know what you're talking about,
• 7:11
Speaker 2: and that will enable them to help you out as
• 7:14
Speaker 2: well they should. Now, speaking of helping people out, Mike
• 7:18
Speaker 2: and I have been joined at the hip and joined
• 7:20
Speaker 2: corporately and joined with Food for the Poor for some
• 7:22
Speaker 2: years now because these are amazing people. What have you
• 7:27
Speaker 2: eaten today? What have you had for breakfast? What have
• 7:29
Speaker 2: you had for lunch if you're catching this later in
• 7:31
Speaker 2: the day? Chances are it was whatever you wanted because
• 7:35
Speaker 2: you had the ability to eat. Take that for granted much?
• 7:39
Speaker 2: Been to Guatemala? Been to Haiti?
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: I have.
• 7:43
Speaker 2: Mike and I went to Guatemala some years ago and
• 7:45
Speaker 2: saw what the people of Food for the Poor are doing.
• 7:47
Speaker 2: Imagine being a mother and you got three kids and
• 7:50
Speaker 2: you have enough food for one. What do you do?
• 7:54
Speaker 2: Feed that one kid and tell the other two, hey, sorry.
• 7:57
Speaker 2: Spread it out really thinly so that all three kids
• 8:00
Speaker 2: get something but they're still hungry. Would you like to
• 8:03
Speaker 2: do something about that? People in our hemisphere, the neediest
• 8:07
Speaker 2: of the needy, and something that this magnificent faith-based organization
• 8:11
Speaker 2: is doing every day. And I've seen it. Listen, I've
• 8:14
Speaker 2: done a lot of advertising for a lot of charities,
• 8:16
Speaker 2: and I know the good work they do. But in
• 8:18
Speaker 2: this particular case, I know firsthand. I've held these children
• 8:21
Speaker 2: in my arms in these impoverished countries. Kids who are alive,
• 8:26
Speaker 2: kids who are eating, moms who can have a kind
• 8:29
Speaker 2: of a job and subsist. This is not about just
• 8:31
Speaker 2: throwing money or even throwing food at people. It is
• 8:34
Speaker 2: doing something so that they don't need to all come
• 8:36
Speaker 2: here to America and so that they can all be
• 8:39
Speaker 2: subsisting and thriving in their own countries. And here's what
• 8:42
Speaker 2: you do. Text FFTP, like food for the poor, text
• 8:47
Speaker 2: FFTP to 51555. Those letters, FFTP to 51555. Throw them
• 8:49
Speaker 2: 20 bucks. Throw them 100 if you got it. But
• 8:58
Speaker 2: if you can do this for me today, I'll appreciate it.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: Michael will appreciate it. Food for the Poor will appreciate it.
• 9:03
Speaker 2: You know who will really appreciate it? A family, a
• 9:06
Speaker 2: child that gets to eat today who otherwise might not have.
• 9:10
Speaker 2: Food for the Poor, we love them. And I can't
• 9:13
Speaker 2: say enough good things about these people. They deserve your treasures,
• 9:19
Speaker 2: your love, your prayers. So it's biblical that where our
• 9:24
Speaker 2: money goes, where our treasure goes, that's where our minds
• 9:27
Speaker 2: and hearts are. My mind and heart is always with
• 9:29
Speaker 2: these kids and what I've been able to help them
• 9:31
Speaker 2: out with with Food for the Poor. Text FFTP to 51555.
• 9:36
  Speaker 2: That's FFTP to 51555. All right. I can't get this
• 9:41
Speaker 2: botched execution out of my head. Krista Pike, she's still alive.
• 9:45
  Speaker 1: What?
• 9:46
Speaker 2: This was, well, we tried to stick her with the
• 9:48
Speaker 2: needle and we're pumping stuff through her and the woman
• 9:50
Speaker 2: just would not die. Well, what do you do? What do?
• 9:53
Speaker 2: I mean, I'm serious. What do you do? The law.
• 9:57
Speaker 2: The law requires her to be dead. Like now she's not,
• 10:04
Speaker 2: I'm not going to drag her out in the parking
• 10:06
Speaker 2: lot and put a bullet in her head, even though
• 10:07
Speaker 2: some people have suggested that, but we have got to
• 10:11
Speaker 2: figure out a way for this to not be such
• 10:13
  Speaker 2: a dog and pony show. I don't. And there's a theory.
• 10:16
Speaker 2: Mike had it, shared it with me. He's not the
• 10:20
Speaker 2: only person who has shared it with you, probably kind
• 10:22
Speaker 2: of a conspiracy narrative that someone who just doesn't like
• 10:32
Speaker 2: the death penalty sabotaged her execution so that it would
• 10:36
Speaker 2: be messy, so that it would fail. I don't know.
• 10:39
  Speaker 2: I don't know that it happened, but I certainly can't
• 10:41
Speaker 2: discount it. So what do we do with this woman
• 10:44
Speaker 2: who is a brutal murderer? This is cut eight. Her attorney,
• 10:49
Speaker 2: Stephen Farrell, with a little update on his still alive client. Mr.
• 10:58
Speaker 5: Farrell, your team said in a court filing that Ms.
• 11:00
Speaker 5: Pike is in the hospital on a ventilator. What's her
• 11:02
  Speaker 5: condition this morning?
• 11:05
Speaker 6: It remains the same. She's still in the hospital on
• 11:08
Speaker 6: a ventilator, critically ill. We don't really know the prognosis
• 11:13
Speaker 6: yet and may not know for several days.
• 11:15
Speaker 5: Was she ever conscious after this? Has she been able
• 11:18
  Speaker 5: to say anything?
• 11:20
Speaker 6: Not that I am aware of, no.
• 11:22
Speaker 5: On Thursday night, the hospital staff was trying to clear
• 11:25
Speaker 5: the two doses of pentobarbital from her body.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: Were they able to?
• 11:30
Speaker 6: No, that's still the ongoing process right now.
• 11:33
Speaker 5: Have the doctors been able to explain at all how
• 11:35
Speaker 5: she survived these two attempts at execution?
• 11:40
Speaker 6: They haven't, and I need to emphasize that we are
• 11:44
Speaker 6: not getting... We're not consulting directly with the doctor. She
• 11:47
Speaker 6: has a medical power of attorney that gives us information.
• 11:52
Speaker 6: I'm not sure what all they may have told that person,
• 11:55
Speaker 6: but this is the extent of what we know.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: I mean, this I don't know if this was a sabotage.
• 12:04
Speaker 2: I do know we need to get better at executing people.
• 12:07
Speaker 2: I witnessed an execution in Florida in 1984. It was
• 12:11
Speaker 2: old Sparky, the electric chair. Yeah, that was direct. That
• 12:15
Speaker 2: didn't take long. Firing squads, those tend to be fairly
• 12:18
Speaker 2: effective and it's kind of old school, but just whatever
• 12:22
Speaker 2: it takes so that we can do this and do
• 12:25
Speaker 2: this efficiently and do it reliably because the death penalty
• 12:30
Speaker 2: is symmetrical. It's funny, a lot of people say, well,
• 12:33
Speaker 2: what about thou shalt not kill? That commandment is thou
• 12:37
Speaker 2: shalt not murder. And if Anybody has a moral quandary
• 12:43
Speaker 2: with this. First of all, just consult your Bible, because
• 12:45
Speaker 2: the Bible doesn't. Nothing God or Jesus ever said contradicts
• 12:50
Speaker 2: the death penalty. But if anybody is kind of struggling
• 12:52
Speaker 2: with this, like, I don't know, is it right for
• 12:56
Speaker 2: us through the law to consciously, proactively take somebody's life?
• 13:01
Speaker 2: The reason I say yes is because innocent life is sacred.
• 13:06
Speaker 2: And please understand, Add that adjective. Innocent life is sacred.
• 13:10
Speaker 2: You say, well, all life is sacred.
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: No, it's not.
• 13:13
Speaker 2: If somebody's hovering over my wife with a switchblade, they're
• 13:18
Speaker 2: dead in my house. Their life no longer sacred. If
• 13:21
Speaker 2: you're in a just war, if it's World War II,
• 13:23
  Speaker 2: I'm an American, you're a German soldier, it's 1944, your
• 13:26
  Speaker 2: life not sacred.
• 13:27
  Speaker 1: Boom.
• 13:28
Speaker 2: Innocent life is sacred. Without that modifier, it is moral idiocy.
• 13:34
Speaker 2: So to tie a bow around this. We take the
• 13:38
Speaker 2: lives of people who take innocent life because innocent life
• 13:44
Speaker 2: is sacred. Because innocent life is sacred, we're going to
• 13:47
Speaker 2: take yours because of what you have done. I hope
• 13:51
Speaker 2: that makes sense. I know that relief factor makes sense,
• 13:54
Speaker 2: makes sense for me, makes sense for Mike, and it's
• 13:56
Speaker 2: going to make sense for you. At 1-800-THE-NUMBER-4-RELIEF, 1-800-THE-NUMBER-4-RELIEF, relief.
• 14:02
Speaker 2: You get the three-week starter for $ 17.
• 14:03
  Speaker 1: 76.
• 14:03
Speaker 2: They're very patriotic over there, $ 17. 76. And you get that.
• 14:08
Speaker 2: The reason they say, why three weeks? Because it didn't
• 14:11
Speaker 2: even take me three weeks to get my shoulder situation resolved.
• 14:14
Speaker 2: And some of those early morning aches that you get
• 14:16
Speaker 2: when you're 68 years old, maybe you know, maybe you
• 14:18
Speaker 2: know a little something about that. And maybe you'd like
• 14:20
Speaker 2: to know some of the relief that I've had and
• 14:22
Speaker 2: some of the relief that Mike has had with his
• 14:24
Speaker 2: back issues. So this is just a fantastic group of
• 14:27
Speaker 2: people who And let's find out if you are going
• 14:29
Speaker 2: to be the next person in the Relief Factor series
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: of success stories. 1-800-4-RELIEF, 1-800-4-RELIEF, or ReliefFactor.com. We're going to
• 14:39
Speaker 2: connect you with a local, friendly team that will do
• 14:41
Speaker 2: everything they can to add you to the list of
• 14:43
Speaker 2: people who have been helped every day with Relief Factor. ReliefFactor.com, 1-800-4-RELIEF.
• 14:51
Speaker 2: So I mentioned, we always mention at the top of
• 14:53
Speaker 2: each show about our friends at Preborn and what they do.
• 14:57
Speaker 2: Something great happened here on M & M Extra last week.
• 15:00
Speaker 2: Mike and I, because they're, let me give you the
• 15:02
Speaker 2: levels of kindness that you can show for pre-born. What
• 15:06
Speaker 2: pre-born is, you can see there on the B-roll, pregnant woman,
• 15:10
Speaker 2: little pregnant belly, got the gel, got the sonogram thing going,
• 15:13
Speaker 2: got the ultrasound going. Because this is what women need
• 15:16
Speaker 2: to see as they are thinking about abortion. Okay, let's
• 15:21
Speaker 2: take a look at what is at issue here. And women... Girls,
• 15:26
Speaker 2: an unwanted pregnancy, I'll never understand firsthand, but I understand
• 15:30
Speaker 2: intellectually and emotionally and morally how tough that's got to be.
• 15:34
Speaker 2: So your choices are to be a mom. Well, you're
• 15:37
Speaker 2: going to be a mom. But if you're not up
• 15:39
Speaker 2: for having a kid right now or raising a kid
• 15:40
Speaker 2: for the next 18 years, adoption, adoption, adoption, adoption. These
• 15:45
Speaker 2: options exist for you so that you can choose life.
• 15:48
Speaker 2: And when you see the ultrasound, you are twice as
• 15:50
Speaker 2: likely to choose life there, ladies. So that's what we're
• 15:53
Speaker 2: trying to do. So $ 140 gives five moms a free
• 15:57
Speaker 2: ultrasound and saves babies. $ 280, 10 babies. Do the math.
• 16:02
  Speaker 2: $ 28 a month can help save a baby a month
• 16:04
Speaker 2: for less than a dollar a day. All at 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY,
• 16:06
Speaker 2: or preborn.com slash mmextra. Now, you know the other thing
• 16:15
  Speaker 2: I'm going to mention. That's the $ 15, 000 ultrasound machine. You
• 16:19
Speaker 2: got 15 grand? Hey, if you do, we'll gladly take
• 16:23
Speaker 2: it and talk nice about you for a really long time.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: Because what that does is it buys the whole ultrasound machine.
• 16:29
Speaker 2: So you just put that somewhere and just save lives
• 16:32
Speaker 2: all the live long day. What a great idea that is.
• 16:34
Speaker 2: So Mike and I had an idea that we would
• 16:37
Speaker 2: have sort of an M & M Extra ultrasound machine
• 16:40
Speaker 2: with five listeners slash viewers. So we took five people
• 16:43
  Speaker 2: at $ 3, 000 a piece, and we're going to have a
• 16:45
Speaker 2: big old lunch, big old thing here in the DFW area,
• 16:48
Speaker 2: and we got it. Took us just a few days.
• 16:50
  Speaker 5: Boom.
• 16:50
Speaker 2: We got it. Wrap it up. Listen, this having worked,
• 16:55
Speaker 2: we may just do that again. So stay tuned for that,
• 16:57
Speaker 2: and we will let you know. In the meantime, I
• 16:59
Speaker 2: want to let you know about the great work they
• 17:01
Speaker 2: do at Preborn. 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY, or preborn.com slash mmextra. OK,
• 17:11
Speaker 2: what do we think? Last couple of minutes here. What
• 17:13
Speaker 2: do we think of Senator John Kennedy? I like his
• 17:15
Speaker 2: folksy down home by you isms. I mean, that's fine.
• 17:19
Speaker 2: He's great. There's something about the last couple of months.
• 17:21
  Speaker 2: I don't know. I just don't know. Is he getting
• 17:25
Speaker 2: tired of Trump, tired of MAGA? I don't know. There
• 17:28
Speaker 2: have been some let his his clips have been, shall
• 17:32
Speaker 2: we say, less than inspiring of late. Now, look, if
• 17:36
Speaker 2: he wants to, he was raising Cain over the weekend.
• 17:38
Speaker 2: about president trump giving out tom cotton's cell phone number
• 17:42
Speaker 2: on this entire daylight savings time imbroglio all right okay
• 17:47
Speaker 2: i get it yeah listen i don't even know if
• 17:48
Speaker 2: that's tom phone how many cell phones does tom cotton
• 17:51
Speaker 2: have is that maybe the one that's more congressional staff
• 17:54
Speaker 2: than anything else whatever the earth does not spin wildly
• 17:57
Speaker 2: out of its orbit for me on that story But
• 18:00
Speaker 2: I think the John Kennedy quote is that Trump can
• 18:03
Speaker 2: go from zero to a-hole in about three seconds. All right, whatever, sir.
• 18:07
Speaker 2: We got midterms to win. Can you get on board?
• 18:10
Speaker 2: He was even talking about the Ken Paxton race, Paxton
• 18:15
Speaker 2: and Tallarico here in Texas, as just an unpopularity contest.
• 18:20
Speaker 2: Everybody hates both of them. Well, that's just simply not true.
• 18:24
Speaker 2: Conservatives here in Texas are ready to walk through fire
• 18:27
Speaker 2: and crawl on broken glass to get Paxton to the
• 18:29
Speaker 2: finish line, and doggone it, God willing, we're going to
• 18:32
Speaker 2: do it in 29 days. So in the midst of
• 18:34
Speaker 2: all of this, and I don't know where this came from,
• 18:36
Speaker 2: Senator Kennedy is, what, 74? He's looking good and healthy
• 18:41
Speaker 2: for 74. Do we need more octogenarian presidents? And I mean,
• 18:45
Speaker 2: I guess he could get one term in there, but
• 18:46
Speaker 2: he'd be 76. Anyway, the idea arose. of Senator Kennedy,
• 18:50
Speaker 2: John Kennedy, running for president. Look, Trump's 80. He's great.
• 18:57
Speaker 2: The number, the age is not the most important thing.
• 19:00
  Speaker 2: It's what's in your head, what's in your heart, what's
• 19:02
Speaker 2: in your spine. So Kristen Welker, I guess, doesn't meet
• 19:05
Speaker 2: the press. Ask Senator Kennedy. This is cut for, hey,
• 19:08
Speaker 2: people are talking about you running for president. Yeah.
• 19:14
Speaker 3: And first, let me correct Rahm. Rahm's running for president.
• 19:17
Speaker 3: If you don't believe that, you'll never own your own home.
• 19:21
Speaker 3: My plans right now are to run for reelection. But
• 19:25
  Speaker 3: as I've said before, if I don't think I can
• 19:28
Speaker 3: be effective in the Senate anymore, I would consider it.
• 19:33
Speaker 3: You know, what's the old judge song? Why not me
• 19:37
Speaker 3: on a rainy day? Why not me to love your
• 19:40
  Speaker 3: blues away? But I haven't made a decision. If a
• 19:44
Speaker 3: bunch of on my side of the aisle, if a
• 19:46
Speaker 3: bunch of goobers run and I think they're good. and
• 19:50
Speaker 3: one of the goobers might win and I think I
• 19:52
Speaker 3: could do a better job, I would consider running. But
• 19:55
Speaker 3: right now I'm running for reelection.
• 19:57
  Speaker 2: Very quickly.
• 19:58
Speaker 3: You can take this one.
• 20:00
  Speaker 1: Sure.
• 20:01
Speaker 2: You'd likely be running against Vice President J.D.
• 20:04
  Speaker 6: Vance.
• 20:05
Speaker 2: Why should Republican voters pick you over J.D. Vance?
• 20:10
Speaker 3: Oh, I'm not going to talk about another potential candidate.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: I'm just not there yet.
• 20:16
  Speaker 2: I assume J.D.
• 20:18
Speaker 3: 's going to run, just like I think Rom's going
• 20:21
Speaker 3: to run. But I think it'll be good for both parties.
• 20:27
Speaker 2: So I guess the question I'd like to ask John
• 20:28
Speaker 2: Kennedy is, is J.D. Vance a goober? Is Ron DeSantis
• 20:33
  Speaker 2: a goober? Is Marco Rubio a goober? What's a goober?
• 20:37
Speaker 2: You know, I obviously know what it is. It's a
• 20:39
Speaker 2: candidate that Senator Kennedy would consider to be foolish and unworthy.
• 20:44
Speaker 2: The problem is I'm no longer certain and comfortable that
• 20:47
Speaker 2: John Kennedy's radar on who is worthy is as good
• 20:50
Speaker 2: as I once thought it was. So he's a senator.
• 20:53
Speaker 2: That's great. He's good most of the time. Let's go
• 20:56
Speaker 2: with that. I'm going to give a respectful yet hard
• 20:59
Speaker 2: no on John Kennedy running for president. I think we
• 21:02
Speaker 2: have the bench strength to do pretty well in 2028.
• 21:06
Speaker 2: But before 2028, we have 28 days, at least tomorrow.
• 21:10
Speaker 2: Tomorrow is T-minus four weeks. And tomorrow, back with a
• 21:12
Speaker 2: more Eminem extra solo experience. I'll have a talk show
• 21:16

• 21:34
Speaker 2: happens tomorrow will happen tomorrow. And then we'll be back
• 21:37
Speaker 2: together again tomorrow to talk about it right here on
• 21:39
