- 0:00Speaker 1: They get a little They called me broadcasting live from Atlanta, Georgia.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to the ball Alert Show. I go by and
- 0:10Speaker 1: then Ferrari as soon as all you know BT is
- 0:12Speaker 1: out being famous today. I have two good friends of mine,
- 0:15Speaker 1: Amina in the building. How you doing, Jordan, what's up?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Come a little closer to the mic, my friend. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we're shooting content now, you know. And you ladies, you
- 0:25Speaker 1: lovely ladies are bartender, waitress, bottle girl, kind of army swift,
- 0:32Speaker 1: army Swiss snipers.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Now I'll start with you. Do you where did you
- 0:36Speaker 1: start in this whole area? Do you still bartend?
- 0:40Speaker 3: And so I will say I started younger, but it
- 0:44Speaker 3: was like strip club energy, you know, waitress in the
- 0:46Speaker 3: strip club. Then I branched off to twists. If you
- 0:49Speaker 3: remember twist at Phipps.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I remember that dam that was the move, bro. I
- 0:54Speaker 1: remember that line outside too.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I did twist and then after that Twist closed and
- 0:59Speaker 3: then I went to.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Eleven forty five, my eleving forty five part my opera, Pottingam,
- 1:05Speaker 1: my agent, entertainment party partner. We were locked in for
- 1:10Speaker 1: a long time, say over ten years. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy,
- 1:15Speaker 1: And go ahead.
- 1:16Speaker 2: It was crazy how I started.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I started at Tongue and Groove actually after doing like
- 1:22Speaker 4: a black bottle Girl thing, So I started there and
- 1:25Speaker 4: then I was doing like Opera antugn Groove, and then
- 1:30Speaker 4: it was just opera because it was day parties, it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Was the week, it was everything.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Then I got into ag World, started doing Compound, pre Ve,
- 1:40Speaker 4: Gold Room, Soho Mondays, and then ended at Opium.
- 1:45Speaker 1: That's crazy. I mean, I know I start I was
- 1:47Speaker 1: hosting around your time, but that was DJ more so
- 1:51Speaker 1: when I started seeing you. Okay, first question, man, you
- 1:54Speaker 1: kind of already know, like I'm gonna ask because we're
- 1:58Speaker 1: trending right now on the radio station page. Who makes
- 2:00Speaker 1: the most money in the club? It was like the
- 2:02Speaker 1: on a Saturday, on a.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Popping Saturday night, I did see this.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Who makes the most money in the club The owner,
- 2:11Speaker 1: the bottle girl, the waitress, the DJ. To that, you
- 2:14Speaker 1: gotta say who.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I definitely would say the owner because all the money
- 2:19Speaker 3: is funneling going through them, you know, but the waitress
- 2:23Speaker 3: definitely makes a killing. Then you can't really be account
- 2:27Speaker 3: of your your money can't be accounted for it because
- 2:29Speaker 3: it's like unlimited, so you are making money here here, here, here, here,
- 2:34Speaker 3: You're gonna see your friends. So I would say the owner,
- 2:37Speaker 3: and then that waitress.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna say the waitress, the waitress. I want to.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Say the waitress and then the owner. I say that
- 2:47Speaker 4: because when we're getting urgratuity, yeah, we.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Take and that is.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well at least it used to be. Now what
- 2:59Speaker 4: they do nowadays, I don't know what that breakdown is,
- 3:02Speaker 4: but yeah, getting your money off top, like she said,
- 3:05Speaker 4: like you're gonna have friends or like people that like
- 3:08Speaker 4: you or whatever want to give you some more, so
- 3:10Speaker 4: like you make it more off of your twenty percent
- 3:12Speaker 4: and then that's just that table.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Granted, if you get a table that want more bottles
- 3:16Speaker 4: than you're, you're overdoing what you expected to do anyways,
- 3:20Speaker 4: So I would definitely say I would say us. I
- 3:24Speaker 4: would say the bottles, bottle girls, and then the owner
- 3:27Speaker 4: gonna get his at the end of the night.
- 3:29Speaker 1: What's the most you've seen someone make or you've made
- 3:32Speaker 1: at the end of the night, M don't sugarcoat friends,
- 3:38Speaker 1: what's the most you've seen?
- 3:40Speaker 3: The most I've seen is probably like somebody make like
- 3:43Speaker 3: eleven grand.
- 3:44Speaker 1: God damn one night.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah, was that at the strip club. No, this is regular.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Oh we Jordan.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Uh.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Personally, I'd say four to five thousand and one night. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 4: take me back right, I made.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Eight gran in one night where I got a five
- 4:07Speaker 3: thousand dollars tip and then they also tipped me in cash. Yeah,
- 4:12Speaker 3: and then it was like the rest of the night.
- 4:14Speaker 3: And that's as a service waitress.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Wow. Okay, So how do you what made you guys
- 4:24Speaker 1: want to get into the service industry, because we're gonna
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna lead to another question, but what made you
- 4:30Speaker 1: want to get into this industry?
- 4:32Speaker 2: I was low key throwing into it.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I had been I had been around, Like I said,
- 4:39Speaker 4: I started doing stuff for black bottle girls anyway, So
- 4:42Speaker 4: I was already walking around with a bottle serving people.
- 4:46Speaker 4: And then I knew people. So then it was just like, well,
- 4:48Speaker 4: we're gonna do this Monday night. Why don't you just
- 4:49Speaker 4: come serve with us on Monday. So really it just
- 4:53Speaker 4: started from there and it just it just grew like it.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I don't know, I was not.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Just flew.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I just flew in there, and then opportunities just kept going.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm like, I mean I'm making money anyways, it is
- 5:05Speaker 4: what it is I don't got a clock in no
- 5:06Speaker 4: nine to five.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I'm with it, fast money, cash, like, let's go. I'm
- 5:10Speaker 2: in my twenties, why not?
- 5:13Speaker 3: And mines came about like I'll say younger, but my
- 5:16Speaker 3: friends were already doing it. So they're like, Amina, I
- 5:19Speaker 3: work at the strip club. You know, when you're young,
- 5:21Speaker 3: it's like, oh, she worked at the strip club.
- 5:22Speaker 2: What's she in here doing?
- 5:23Speaker 3: But we was literally just waitresses, so we was making
- 5:26Speaker 3: money in it started to go from dis place to
- 5:29Speaker 3: this place to this place. And once you were in
- 5:31Speaker 3: the industry, all you're going to do is meet somebody
- 5:34Speaker 3: else that owns the club. They'll say you don't want
- 5:36Speaker 3: to work there, or come up and work over here.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So now you're at this place, this place, this place,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and this place.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So I like the industry, okay, which leads me to
- 5:46Speaker 1: my next word of the episode, customer service. Yeah, I've
- 5:52Speaker 1: had my share of seeing really dope. This is me Ferrari.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Whenever I go djil club or djail party, I find
- 5:59Speaker 1: one way, one bottle girl that I just get tight with. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 1: you know, yes, you know what I'm saying. I just
- 6:08Speaker 1: found one person, so I don't got to communicate with
- 6:11Speaker 1: five different people, you know what I'm saying, and I find,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but I always found the person that gives the best
- 6:15Speaker 1: customer service. Is it taught for you guys to have
- 6:21Speaker 1: great customer service? Is there training to be a waitress,
- 6:25Speaker 1: a bottle girl, a bartender, because I know a bartender
- 6:28Speaker 1: you have to get your mixology, yeah, license a little bit,
- 6:32Speaker 1: a little bit, or or you just.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Got to know how to make drinks.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:38Speaker 3: In the industry that I came from, I was trained.
- 6:42Speaker 3: So at Twist, I was trained.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Like customer service service.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And now that I work at m c K, Mitch
- 6:51Speaker 3: is there. So it's like yeah, so it's literally full circle.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And so now we're training the people. But I'll say
- 6:59Speaker 3: in this you will kind of like start a certain
- 7:01Speaker 3: way because a lot of people do it for the money.
- 7:03Speaker 3: But what's crazy is I do it to make friends,
- 7:08Speaker 3: make friends that will pay me. Yeah, it's like make
- 7:13Speaker 3: a friend. They gonna come back, They're gonna request you,
- 7:15Speaker 3: They're gonna come and see you, and then you'll see
- 7:17Speaker 3: them again and again and again and again it and
- 7:20Speaker 3: then you will never know what they have going on.
- 7:22Speaker 3: And then next thing you know, you know, So it's
- 7:26Speaker 3: like your networking, you know. So I'm on the end
- 7:29Speaker 3: where I love my job and it just pays me
- 7:32Speaker 3: very well.
- 7:34Speaker 2: So I train people for that.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I'll be like, listen, have a personality, look nice, you
- 7:39Speaker 3: know what I mean, Get in their business. Ask them questions,
- 7:41Speaker 3: not about how was your day?
- 7:43Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 7:44Speaker 3: But if you see them, I like your hair, who
- 7:46Speaker 3: did your hair? You know? Start a conversation and I
- 7:48Speaker 3: get everybody's name, and I do not know how I
- 7:52Speaker 3: remember it, but.
- 7:53Speaker 2: I don't forget it.
- 7:54Speaker 1: That's great for one encounter.
- 7:56Speaker 3: If I remember glowing up, I'd be like, oh, Jordan,
- 8:00Speaker 3: hey again, and everybody'd be like you know her.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I'm like, no, I'm married the last time. It's kind
- 8:05Speaker 2: of weird. Yeah, it is.
- 8:10Speaker 4: When you go into waitressing, like at a club. I
- 8:12Speaker 4: don't personally think customer service is taught.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It's you get.
- 8:15Speaker 4: You get what the customer acts, and you go like,
- 8:19Speaker 4: make your rounds is what it is. Collect my money,
- 8:22Speaker 4: not you personally as the waitress, but collect my money
- 8:24Speaker 4: from the club because we did used to when they
- 8:27Speaker 4: took you to a section. I need that money up front,
- 8:29Speaker 4: blah blah blah blah. I gotta take it. To the
- 8:30Speaker 4: back before you even get your bottles. Now they do
- 8:33Speaker 4: it at the door, thankfully. But no, customer service was
- 8:37Speaker 4: not taught. But lucky for me, I was in retail first.
- 8:40Speaker 4: But I've always been just a personal person. I don't
- 8:43Speaker 4: like bad service, so I'm not gonna give bad service.
- 8:45Speaker 2: So it's you.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Know, courtesy, like thank you, how you doing by black?
- 8:51Speaker 4: Like just small talk, getting to know them, like you said,
- 8:53Speaker 4: creating that, creating that bond, and when they come back,
- 8:57Speaker 4: they're gonna ask for you. Just do good by other
- 9:00Speaker 4: and they're gonna do good to you, and then they're
- 9:01Speaker 4: gonna come back and may your cup runs over.
- 9:06Speaker 1: In the industry where it's always you know, good, it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: the good and the bad. And I feel in all industries, right,
- 9:12Speaker 1: what have you guys seen like bad? Like bad customer service,
- 9:16Speaker 1: bad waitresses? Bad? Do those people tend to not last long?
- 9:21Speaker 1: Like is it like drama or is it you know,
- 9:25Speaker 1: I be clod I mean, I mean seen a lot.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Add customer service is timing, like I was taught, check
- 9:31Speaker 3: back every two minutes, Like you check back so much
- 9:34Speaker 3: you annoy the customer.
- 9:36Speaker 2: But they never supposed to look for you like that.
- 9:38Speaker 3: They're never supposed to ask somebody, hey, yeah, and if
- 9:41Speaker 3: they did, like even in the two minutes they need something,
- 9:44Speaker 3: if they asks that server, that server gets it. That
- 9:48Speaker 3: server doesn't come say hey, a meana, your table needs
- 9:51Speaker 3: No it's our table. It's no just thing, regardless if
- 9:54Speaker 3: I'm getting the money from it or not. They're not
- 9:56Speaker 3: supposed to even know what they server is, to be honest.
- 9:58Speaker 2: They're supposed to get it.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Get the whatever the person asks, or they ask for
- 10:02Speaker 3: a couple of ice. Don't come find me and say
- 10:05Speaker 3: they get your type a couple of ice and then
- 10:07Speaker 3: I'm already doing something.
- 10:09Speaker 2: They gave you the tesk do it, you know what
- 10:13Speaker 2: I mean.
- 10:13Speaker 3: So that's how I learned even but that's kind of
- 10:16Speaker 3: like in the household, if you see the dishes, do them.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Don't complain about my sister didn't do the dishes. You know, No,
- 10:24Speaker 3: do the dishes. If you see something, you do it.
- 10:27Speaker 3: So that's what I was kind of taught, like, don't
- 10:29Speaker 3: let somebody else do the task that was given to you.
- 10:33Speaker 3: I think that's how you determine like who's on the
- 10:35Speaker 3: team and who's herself. Like, granted, your table is your
- 10:39Speaker 3: what you're making and We're not split depending on what
- 10:41Speaker 3: club you're at, you're not splitting the tips. So yeah,
- 10:43Speaker 3: I'm gonna take care of my table. You can take
- 10:45Speaker 3: care of your table. But at the end of the day,
- 10:47Speaker 3: like we're all in this together.
- 10:48Speaker 2: We're here, we spend these hours together. We're becoming friends
- 10:52Speaker 2: with becoming family.
- 10:52Speaker 4: So yeah, like if my table is looking for something
- 10:55Speaker 4: that's not a bottle, please go get it for them
- 10:58Speaker 4: or tell me or whatever.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But I do feel like.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Sometimes they will keep a waitress with a bad attitude
- 11:08Speaker 4: and they're just like, oh, it's okay, like she'll go
- 11:10Speaker 4: get it, But like that's a nasty attitude.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I don't want her back personally.
- 11:13Speaker 4: And I think every woman that is at a section
- 11:16Speaker 4: that has a waitress with a nasty attitude, they're gonna
- 11:19Speaker 4: be like they're going to say something always because why
- 11:21Speaker 4: do you have an attitude.
- 11:22Speaker 2: When I'm you're taking my money? What's your Why are
- 11:24Speaker 2: you un'thappy at work? Boom?
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I started your night even though it started at
- 11:31Speaker 3: ten o'clock at night. You just started your night off,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and you have an attitude, you know. So I always
- 11:37Speaker 3: like I'm very welcoming, so I always do everything with
- 11:40Speaker 3: a smile, so you wouldn't even think that I was
- 11:42Speaker 3: taking your money.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to give me your money? Yeah, but like, yeah,
- 11:49Speaker 2: we have a tab? What is your tap? Is this?
- 11:51Speaker 3: We have to take it up front versus saying, hey, yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 3: you're not getting no bottles?
- 11:55Speaker 2: Like why are you talking to people like?
- 11:57Speaker 3: You know, like come on, Like that's how you do
- 11:59Speaker 3: people even if you in a rush, you have time
- 12:01Speaker 3: for them, make time for them. Don't let them know
- 12:04Speaker 3: you have anything else going on.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why it's called the service.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the service.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So again, next question will be when you guys are
- 12:13Speaker 1: dealing with like, you know, promoters or owners. Who hires
- 12:17Speaker 1: you guys? Owners?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Mmmm, well, they'll kind of use a manager.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It will be the manager of the club that hires.
- 12:26Speaker 3: But you know what, eleven forty five, I did get
- 12:29Speaker 3: hired by a promoter who I thought was an owner.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So he was doing tends to happen.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, right, so.
- 12:35Speaker 3: He was doing the hiring and shout out to Luther Okay, yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway, okay, So is there a criteria that you
- 12:53Speaker 1: guys have to make sure you meet maintaining being a
- 12:58Speaker 1: server at a nightclub, wars, strip club or lounge, meaning
- 13:01Speaker 1: like physically do you have to come? Do you have
- 13:06Speaker 1: to have makeup on? Do you? Because one time eleven
- 13:10Speaker 1: forty five r P eleven forty five, I would see
- 13:13Speaker 1: like outfits like somebody. I think one time somebody made
- 13:17Speaker 1: y'all outfits.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yes, I was doing that a time I was making that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Y'all had some flare on the hard.
- 13:27Speaker 3: I think the criteria is beauty period. Like you are
- 13:31Speaker 3: a woman. My I would say, act like you're trying
- 13:34Speaker 3: to impress a boy.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Come to work somebody.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Yeah, act like you're trying to impress somebody, Like what
- 13:41Speaker 3: how would you look? You know you're not rolling out
- 13:43Speaker 3: the bed. You are literally selling.
- 13:46Speaker 2: No I can spend not like that, but you're you
- 13:51Speaker 2: need to look nice.
- 13:52Speaker 3: You makeup, you have your hair done, your nails done,
- 13:54Speaker 3: you bringing out bottles. Your hands are going to be
- 13:57Speaker 3: in pictures, you know what I mean. Your outfits there
- 13:59Speaker 3: are going to be fish nets. Make sure they don't
- 14:01Speaker 3: have holes in it. For you know, your shoes, your shoes,
- 14:04Speaker 3: and I would say everybody's shoes need to be cohesive,
- 14:07Speaker 3: like everybody didn't have on the same shoes.
- 14:09Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 14:09Speaker 3: We need to look like we're on a dance squad.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Is there like a leader that does that?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Or well, sometimes I feel like there's like a head waitress,
- 14:18Speaker 4: or they'll make themselves a head waitress.
- 14:19Speaker 2: But I don't like they made We picked our uniforms.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Okay, well not for ag entertainment, obviously, you know he
- 14:27Speaker 4: gonna he gonna do what he want to do. But
- 14:30Speaker 4: I would say for opium, like we shopped around ideas,
- 14:34Speaker 4: was like, y'all like this, all right, cool, we're gonna
- 14:35Speaker 4: get this, send us your sizes.
- 14:37Speaker 2: This is what it is.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:39Speaker 4: We definitely said like stockings, fish nets and whatnot, but
- 14:42Speaker 4: like what stocking you wanted to wear with wet outfit.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It wasn't that strict. Neither were the shoes.
- 14:49Speaker 4: But I would say for me, just observing people, I
- 14:53Speaker 4: was thigh high.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Boots with a heel. You're not gonna catch me in
- 14:56Speaker 2: no flats. Plus everything set up better when you put
- 14:58Speaker 2: some heels on it.
- 14:59Speaker 4: But I would see people like nothing against the people
- 15:02Speaker 4: that wear the Balinciaga sock shoe, but that doesn't that
- 15:08Speaker 4: doesn't make you set up, That doesn't make you like
- 15:10Speaker 4: roll your shoulders back and strut. So I feel like
- 15:13Speaker 4: you need to be in something that you're gonna strut in,
- 15:15Speaker 4: but also be comfortable because don't get me wrong, my
- 15:18Speaker 4: heels weren't like stiletto's. They were definitely some comfortable shoes.
- 15:22Speaker 4: But my ship was barking after that. Yeah, yeah, I
- 15:26Speaker 4: gotsen years.
- 15:30Speaker 3: So yeah, yes, but if you look at the girls
- 15:32Speaker 3: in Vegas, they look like show girls for sure. Miami
- 15:36Speaker 3: they look like show girls. So it's not no, you
- 15:38Speaker 3: don't get to pick your outfits. They the club picked
- 15:42Speaker 3: their outfits for them into them and you better fit,
- 15:46Speaker 3: which means you better gym for sure, you know what
- 15:48Speaker 3: I mean. So it was it was definitely a Crotteriria
- 15:51Speaker 3: and you know, in those cities.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm so glad you guys are here. Right. So,
- 15:57Speaker 1: as a person that hosted the biggest parties in Atlanta
- 15:59Speaker 1: and ej them as well, how important is the music,
- 16:03Speaker 1: the DJ, the situation for you guys to do your
- 16:06Speaker 1: job even better?
- 16:07Speaker 2: Cuge, that's huge. They're creating the vibe.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Yes, that's the biggest, like the major Yeah, if it's.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I would see before we bring such and such a.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Yeah, that matters so much because certain those beats when
- 16:23Speaker 3: you're drinking. Certain beats, like even if you win your car,
- 16:25Speaker 3: listen to them. You may drive a little faster just
- 16:28Speaker 3: because those beats have you like, oh I'm feeling myself,
- 16:32Speaker 3: you know.
- 16:32Speaker 1: So you guys make more money the better the DJ.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I think so, because they said they set the vibe.
- 16:38Speaker 2: So if vibing and.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Your continuous, potentially yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 4: And you're and you're like they're they're having a good time,
- 16:44Speaker 4: they drinking, the bottles are going quicker. So yeah, I'm
- 16:46Speaker 4: gonna get another bottle before because you running out. You
- 16:50Speaker 4: don't want you don't want the vibe to end. So yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 4: they're gonna keep vibing.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Now does it Is it different? Is there a
- 17:00Speaker 1: difference between you guys working and serving at a lounge
- 17:04Speaker 1: versus a strip club versus a club? And I don't
- 17:08Speaker 1: even know if there's any clubs left in Atlanta outside?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Is there a difference between making money at these different establishments.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's all based off of that friend that you make.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yep, it's all about customer service. Like the numbers have
- 17:23Speaker 3: not changed. You can be like I used to make
- 17:26Speaker 3: money back in the day. No, I'm still making money today.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You know, it only gets better, you know, because now
- 17:33Speaker 3: in our community, it's a lot of entrepreneurs, so we've
- 17:36Speaker 3: already grown to treat ourselves a certain way. So now
- 17:40Speaker 3: we're going to places that treat us a certain way.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So you're going to get that waitress, you know, and
- 17:46Speaker 3: I will hire somebody. I'll be like, Mitch, I got somebody,
- 17:50Speaker 3: but somebody that works like me. Yeah, that works just
- 17:53Speaker 3: like me. So I'll say, hey, you know, this person
- 17:56Speaker 3: is that, this person is that. And I'm such not
- 17:58Speaker 3: a gatekeeper that even if it's somebody that requests me,
- 18:01Speaker 3: I'll be like, no, go with her today, like, you
- 18:03Speaker 3: know what, let me see you know, tell me how
- 18:06Speaker 3: she did.
- 18:06Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 18:07Speaker 3: So I have people that come solely to see me
- 18:10Speaker 3: and say if I can't get to them, I'll get
- 18:12Speaker 3: them the next best thing.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Like I'll be like, go get your money. This person.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Tip's really good. You're gonna love to wait on them. Yeah,
- 18:18Speaker 2: you know.
- 18:18Speaker 3: So the money don't change you, just you just gotta
- 18:21Speaker 3: keep your personality up your you gotta want to do it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So I love the industry, so it works for me.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Jordan, I'm gonna start with you on this next question.
- 18:32Speaker 1: You guys are working clubs but you got to have
- 18:34Speaker 1: a personal life. Ye got to have a relationship eventually. Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 1: and if that relationship grows, how does it grow? Does
- 18:45Speaker 1: what you guys do intimidate someone that you could potentially
- 18:50Speaker 1: be in a relationship with due to the fact that
- 18:52Speaker 1: you're out until four or five in the morning, sometimes
- 18:55Speaker 1: six in the morning. A person that you're in a
- 18:58Speaker 1: relationship with may not like that, especially if you know
- 19:03Speaker 1: you're doing an AG party and a super big A
- 19:08Speaker 1: list celebrity sends you a DM because they love the
- 19:12Speaker 1: way you brought those you serve them and brought those
- 19:16Speaker 1: bottles and brought those bottles out there, Like, oh.
- 19:18Speaker 2: My god, she's just looking great.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Ye send her a DM. That could be a little
- 19:22Speaker 1: intimidating to a potential, you know, person that you want
- 19:26Speaker 1: to spend the rest of your life with, right or No?
- 19:29Speaker 4: Definitely it has. I feel like it has caused problems.
- 19:33Speaker 4: But that's why they ain't my problem no more. That
- 19:36Speaker 4: person is not my problem no more. Like I need
- 19:38Speaker 4: somebody that's confident in what I come with, And I
- 19:42Speaker 4: think you also have to be confident in your partner.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Like if you've been dating me and you know me,
- 19:47Speaker 4: I would have a nigga from the club if I
- 19:49Speaker 4: wanted one. Obviously I don't, So why are you concerned
- 19:52Speaker 4: about who I'm serving and what I'm doing now? I
- 19:55Speaker 4: do think we have to be mindful of your personal life,
- 20:00Speaker 4: your self care, and your family while being in the club,
- 20:03Speaker 4: because I've missed or had to leave plenty of Christmases
- 20:06Speaker 4: or Thanksgiving, Halloween, I ain't spend New Year's. I didn't
- 20:11Speaker 4: spend New Year's with a significant other. In years work,
- 20:13Speaker 4: that's prime time to make a lot of money.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Time.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Yeah, so I mean it has cost issues and you
- 20:21Speaker 4: definitely just have You just have to make time. You
- 20:23Speaker 4: have to prioritize now, like do I want to go
- 20:25Speaker 4: make this money or do I want off today? But
- 20:27Speaker 4: you know, you might want to take that slow day
- 20:29Speaker 4: before the summer come because summer you locked in.
- 20:32Speaker 2: But I mean it's doable, absolutely doable. Though.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Well, I've managed to have a really good schedule that
- 20:39Speaker 3: works for whoever I'm dating. So I've had a good
- 20:44Speaker 3: run in the industry where I am.
- 20:48Speaker 2: If I am in a relationship, it works. You know,
- 20:51Speaker 2: they know my schedule.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I still make time and I don't have kids, so
- 20:56Speaker 3: I don't know it works it works. So I haven't
- 20:58Speaker 3: had a run in where somebody.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Okay, I see you.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Wait when that guy faced it like, hey, I'm bringing
- 21:05Speaker 3: home the money, so chill.
- 21:07Speaker 2: They're not.
- 21:07Speaker 3: I've never met nobody's like you. I seen you and somebody.
- 21:11Speaker 3: It's working.
- 21:12Speaker 2: It's working. Yeah, I definitely.
- 21:14Speaker 4: I definitely remember, like what are my boyfriend's looking at
- 21:16Speaker 4: my going through my phone? Like when I was sleep
- 21:19Speaker 4: and I got a text from a customer like it
- 21:22Speaker 4: was it was only for I told him, I said,
- 21:24Speaker 4: you know, thank you for tonight because you always going
- 21:27Speaker 4: to a book with me, so I appreciate you for tonight.
- 21:29Speaker 4: You tipped you over tip and that was all it was.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I might have said, you know, babe, but it wasn't
- 21:34Speaker 4: like and that's all that he read and that.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I understand.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah he lost it his customer service. You learned the
- 21:45Speaker 2: babe because you don't know their names a lot. I
- 21:47Speaker 2: did know him, but.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that wasn't like that fan.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yeah you said, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Now again, I've been I've been in this industry. I
- 21:56Speaker 1: wanted to damn, I'm getting old, almost twenty years. I've
- 22:01Speaker 1: seen some people get their bodies done to influence people
- 22:05Speaker 1: to tip more. Do you guys see that too?
- 22:09Speaker 4: I don't know if I can say that they did
- 22:11Speaker 4: it for people to tip more they're trying to catch
- 22:13Speaker 4: some or for themselves.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I think they did it, and if they did it
- 22:17Speaker 3: in the industry, they definitely did it because of what
- 22:19Speaker 3: they saw they was next to.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Yeah, the other girls. Yeah, it's like a girl thing.
- 22:24Speaker 1: So is it an ever that's going to be an
- 22:25Speaker 1: ever going thing?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Then yeah, it's a girl thing. They'll be like that
- 22:30Speaker 3: you look a certain way, and then the club owners
- 22:33Speaker 3: actually will hire you based off how.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You look, which I understand that part because.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, OK, so if they see like this person is
- 22:43Speaker 3: getting this table or these particular clients because they look
- 22:49Speaker 3: a certain way, girls will be like, oh, I need
- 22:51Speaker 3: to look like them. So it'll kind of shift their
- 22:55Speaker 3: self esteem a little bit.
- 22:56Speaker 2: But you know, I don't.
- 22:59Speaker 3: I was never taught that, you know, So I was
- 23:02Speaker 3: taught to get money. It was never about what it
- 23:05Speaker 3: looked like. It was about who you was, how fast
- 23:08Speaker 3: you were, and how efficient you were, you know what
- 23:10Speaker 3: I mean. So people will say, oh, I'm getting the
- 23:12Speaker 3: waitious because she got the fat ass, but they're not server. Yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 3: because I had some girls I've worked with some girls
- 23:21Speaker 3: and I will tell you the truth.
- 23:23Speaker 2: This is a true story.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I can't say their names, but the girl was sleeping
- 23:27Speaker 3: with the guy when he came in here, he said,
- 23:30Speaker 3: I want to meet him, and so she thought, oh me,
- 23:35Speaker 3: he mean you suck your customer.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Customer survey, you are servicing. That's not what's happening. Like, No,
- 23:42Speaker 2: you no matter what, you.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Going after hours to work. Yeah, you can't feel entitled
- 23:51Speaker 3: just because of what you've done. You know, So I'm
- 23:53Speaker 3: making what you could have, should have, would have just
- 23:55Speaker 3: because I'm so.
- 23:57Speaker 1: It's not a good idea to sleep with the cut.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Absolutely not the customer or the boss.
- 24:05Speaker 1: But these things tend to happen in this line of
- 24:07Speaker 1: words by all men, and does it. I can tell
- 24:10Speaker 1: that it creates a lot of issues. Man. And then
- 24:16Speaker 1: you gotta go somewhere else because you probably get fired.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Right liquor in late night do something to you your feelings.
- 24:26Speaker 2: The girls feelings are hurt.
- 24:28Speaker 3: So whatever they was performing like before they got with
- 24:31Speaker 3: whoever it shifts or.
- 24:32Speaker 4: He taking them tables away, I'm gonna give you them
- 24:35Speaker 4: back two seaters damn.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:39Speaker 3: And so in my industry, I definitely worked in a
- 24:42Speaker 3: way where people would be like, oh, I mean it's
- 24:45Speaker 3: talking to somebody.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 24:47Speaker 2: No, I'm just bubbly, you know what I mean. I'm
- 24:50Speaker 2: just bubbly, and I don't.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I never had to do that, So I was taught
- 24:53Speaker 3: when I work at the Strip club in two thousand
- 24:56Speaker 3: and eight, like I've seen a girl that I work
- 24:58Speaker 3: with sleep with a customer. Then he came back with
- 25:02Speaker 3: somebody else the next week, and I was like.
- 25:04Speaker 2: She was crushed. So now she had worked with attitude.
- 25:07Speaker 3: So I swear watching her that happened to her and
- 25:11Speaker 3: made me never ever want to talk to a customer.
- 25:13Speaker 3: So now even now they'll say, hey, I said I
- 25:16Speaker 3: don't date people that come in here, and they'll say, what,
- 25:19Speaker 3: I don't got to come here.
- 25:20Speaker 2: You'll never see me again. Don't matter.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I met you in here, So you don't they anybody
- 25:24Speaker 1: that you meet in that way.
- 25:27Speaker 3: No, I'm just you just know. I'd be like, look around, it's.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Where you meet somebody to Oh, I hang out, I
- 25:35Speaker 1: go out and travel. I'm outside, so you have to
- 25:38Speaker 1: be off the clock.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Off the clock, you get to really see the real
- 25:41Speaker 3: you know. But in my job, like come on, I'm working.
- 25:46Speaker 1: To meet somebody at the job.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Nah, No, I mean I don't think.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I don't think any of us like that, at least
- 25:51Speaker 4: like the real workers. I would say, because we're here,
- 25:54Speaker 4: I'm here to do a job. Like you might be
- 25:56Speaker 4: easy on the eyes, I'm like flur a little bit,
- 25:57Speaker 4: but like it's got to be on my time. Don't
- 25:59Speaker 4: you take me around this club. Don't be trying to
- 26:02Speaker 4: keep me in your section because you like me. I
- 26:04Speaker 4: got seven more that I need to move around to.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I'll be back. I'll catch you by the end of
- 26:09Speaker 2: the night, if that's what I want.
- 26:10Speaker 1: How do you guys navigate through that? Because you I was.
- 26:13Speaker 1: We did a DJ, a female DJ episode, and they
- 26:17Speaker 1: mentioned that not only do we got to deal with guys,
- 26:19Speaker 1: we got to deal with girls that holler at us too.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you guys got and women hollering at
- 26:27Speaker 1: you while you're serving, while you're and the.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Women make it feel like because they're girls, is now
- 26:35Speaker 3: is it's really okay? So you tend to flirt because
- 26:39Speaker 3: this is you know, or you tend to be warm,
- 26:41Speaker 3: and they may take that as something else and they'll
- 26:44Speaker 3: start stalking you, Like if you give out your ig
- 26:46Speaker 3: you're done.
- 26:47Speaker 2: I ain't had a girl experience.
- 26:49Speaker 4: I can't say so you never had a girl two
- 26:53Speaker 4: weeks ago, I'm like, hey, this girl is extremely aggressive.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I made it cool, but it's not I had a
- 27:02Speaker 3: girl experience.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yes, honey, damn I missing out. Yeah, it's like.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I ain't don'a tee you all right? So before you wrap,
- 27:12Speaker 1: two more questions. Safety. Yeah, guys getting off at four
- 27:17Speaker 1: in the morning, I do see I have seen in
- 27:19Speaker 1: a lot of clothes. Uh, the security will walk you,
- 27:21Speaker 1: guys to your car. How important is safety in your industry?
- 27:26Speaker 2: Major?
- 27:27Speaker 4: Major, because you could get somebody in the club that's
- 27:31Speaker 4: creeping in the bag and they waiting for you to leave,
- 27:34Speaker 4: and you got all this money. You ain't getting a transaction,
- 27:37Speaker 4: you're getting cash. So by all means not by yourself
- 27:42Speaker 4: have something on you for sure.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I don't know what. I don't know what the club
- 27:46Speaker 2: policy is about. Safety for a waitress.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Isn't what you can have in your bag or not
- 27:50Speaker 4: have something on you, because it could be when I mean,
- 27:54Speaker 4: I think security should absolutely wait till you're in your car.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Started it like lock your door automatically when you get
- 28:00Speaker 4: in there. But security should wait for everybody to leave
- 28:04Speaker 4: before they leave, but in the case that they don't,
- 28:07Speaker 4: I think it's very important that waitresses and anybody in
- 28:11Speaker 4: the night life stay vigilant, all eyes open around you
- 28:15Speaker 4: at all times, working and not working, because shit can
- 28:17Speaker 4: happen in the club while you're working.
- 28:23Speaker 3: So for me, if I had a large lumsung, I'm
- 28:26Speaker 3: not taking it home.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I'm letting them keep it.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I'm accounted, let them keep it, and then I'll pick
- 28:32Speaker 3: it up in daylight, take it to the bank somewhere.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I know.
- 28:35Speaker 3: It's like nothing's on me, you know what I mean.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So getting home, I tend to get home safely. Yeah,
- 28:43Speaker 3: so I don't have those thoughts. That's not my thought process,
- 28:47Speaker 3: Like I'm annoyed it, you know what I mean. I
- 28:49Speaker 3: feel like I have a good heart, So I'm not
- 28:51Speaker 3: thinking about that field, you know what I mean. So
- 28:53Speaker 3: I try not to attract it. But I will say
- 28:56Speaker 3: I have people that are very concerned when I do
- 28:59Speaker 3: drive home or get home, you know.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And then what's crazy enough, I kind of share my
- 29:03Speaker 2: location for sure. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Yeah, my mama got that best friend. Everybody everybody that
- 29:08Speaker 4: needs to have it, Yeah my location. Yeah, so it'll
- 29:11Speaker 4: be like on two separate phones.
- 29:13Speaker 3: So I feel good about that, you know, But I
- 29:17Speaker 3: totally understand the because I've seen girls getting ubers with money,
- 29:21Speaker 3: and I've seen one girl the Uber driver set her up.
- 29:27Speaker 3: The Uber driver. She used the same Uber driver every night.
- 29:29Speaker 2: I think I saw that that was a minute ago, right, Yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 3: She's the same Uber driver every night. And when she
- 29:34Speaker 3: got home. Yeah, apparently somebody was like bum rushing her door. Yep,
- 29:38Speaker 3: that the Uber driver set up.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Wow.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not safe.
- 29:43Speaker 4: But I definitely used to go to the ATM, but
- 29:44Speaker 4: I live in it's a different part of town, so
- 29:47Speaker 4: ain't nobody checking for me at the ATM. But I'm
- 29:50Speaker 4: definitely going to the ATM before I get home regardless.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Get that up off me. I ain't got nothing when
- 29:55Speaker 4: you when you want it, I ain't got it.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah off.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Okay, last question, so the evolution of you as a person,
- 30:06Speaker 1: You as a person like you when you're working in
- 30:09Speaker 1: this industry, where do you see yourself ten years down
- 30:12Speaker 1: the line? What's your plan? Oh?
- 30:15Speaker 2: I'm a fashion designer, Okay, that's my real job.
- 30:19Speaker 3: So I love the industry because first I get to
- 30:21Speaker 3: meet people, you know, I get to sell my brand
- 30:24Speaker 3: as well, and a lot of them already recognizing, which
- 30:28Speaker 3: I'm so grateful for because I've made clothes for so
- 30:31Speaker 3: many females.
- 30:33Speaker 2: So they'll be like, Amana, oh my god, I'm one
- 30:35Speaker 2: of you.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Yes, and they'd be like, yes, I love this place,
- 30:38Speaker 3: you know. But it just brings me like more energy
- 30:41Speaker 3: and more networking. So in networks, so I'll say fashion design,
- 30:46Speaker 3: You're going to see it am by Imina Jey Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Who.
- 30:51Speaker 4: I truly had no idea what my ten year goal
- 30:53Speaker 4: was when I started waitressing. It just so happened that
- 30:56Speaker 4: I got to a place where it was becoming slow.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And this was probably like.
- 31:03Speaker 4: Twenty seventeen eighteen ish when things were a little bit slow,
- 31:10Speaker 4: that I just started in real estate, like working in
- 31:13Speaker 4: different pockets of real estate until I just found what
- 31:16Speaker 4: I want to do.
- 31:16Speaker 2: So I'm in real estate, I have my license.
- 31:19Speaker 4: I'm more so on developer properties than anything and I
- 31:23Speaker 4: love it. But I definitely, I definitely attribute a lot
- 31:28Speaker 4: of my growth and the skills that I have to
- 31:31Speaker 4: working in the night life, and I think what comes
- 31:35Speaker 4: with that as a woman and as somebody where that
- 31:39Speaker 4: was not the goal to stay. I was not wanting
- 31:41Speaker 4: to stay there. I wasn't looking for a husband there,
- 31:43Speaker 4: but it was the connections that you made in the
- 31:47Speaker 4: qualities that you picked up from the club that are
- 31:50Speaker 4: always going to like help.
- 31:51Speaker 2: You long term, I think so.
- 31:54Speaker 1: And last last question to someone that's super young that
- 31:58Speaker 1: wants to get into the service industry waitress and bartending
- 32:04Speaker 1: or you know, being a potential bottle girl, what do
- 32:06Speaker 1: you tell them? What's some advice you can give?
- 32:08Speaker 3: I would say, acquire the knowledge first, like make sure
- 32:12Speaker 3: you are trained to learn that you are serving someone else,
- 32:17Speaker 3: and that you are polite, and that you actually know drinks, food, allergies,
- 32:24Speaker 3: you know, more mature questions you know, and just very
- 32:32Speaker 3: very pay attention to detail. So even like if you
- 32:36Speaker 3: are a hostess, you know, somebody walking in and no phones,
- 32:40Speaker 3: you on your phone, you need to look up, you
- 32:42Speaker 3: always need to be attentive and no back towards the door.
- 32:46Speaker 3: It's like, so I would say, just be just have
- 32:49Speaker 3: really good awareness skills just out the gate, you know
- 32:52Speaker 3: what I mean. So it's just about paying attention to
- 32:54Speaker 3: who you're waiting on.
- 32:56Speaker 4: So I would have to say, what is your goal
- 33:01Speaker 4: and know your goal and know your worth before you
- 33:03Speaker 4: get in that industry because it can diminish your self
- 33:07Speaker 4: worth really quick, or it can blast it through the atmosphere.
- 33:11Speaker 4: So always know what your goal is and why you're there,
- 33:15Speaker 4: but definitely don't make that your only income because at
- 33:20Speaker 4: one day, one day, you're going to have to get
- 33:21Speaker 4: out of it. I'm not going to say an age
- 33:24Speaker 4: that you should be out of it, but you should
- 33:26Speaker 4: definitely have another goal. And if service industry is your thing,
- 33:32Speaker 4: then find a different niche. Like you found a different
- 33:35Speaker 4: niche for you within that industry. Maybe you want to
- 33:38Speaker 4: be a DJ, maybe you want to own a club,
- 33:39Speaker 4: Maybe you want to start your own hoo could business.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Maybe you want to start your own waitress company with
- 33:45Speaker 4: clothes or stockings or whatever. But like, find what you
- 33:47Speaker 4: want to do in that amount of time. You're not
- 33:50Speaker 4: going to be twenty forever. The money is going to money.
- 33:53Speaker 4: But also I would also say, oh yes I can.
- 33:56Speaker 4: I've almost forgot be have financial litter. I blew through
- 34:01Speaker 4: so much money at a young age, and it's all
- 34:04Speaker 4: of us. Granted, we lived, and me and my best
- 34:06Speaker 4: friends just talked about this this past weekend. We lived,
- 34:09Speaker 4: We have zero regrets, We traveled, we did things and
- 34:13Speaker 4: we wish we had the financial literacy that we do
- 34:15Speaker 4: now as adult adults.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Back then. So definitely get do that and best in yourself.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Okay, tell them how to follow you.
- 34:27Speaker 3: I G A M by aj not Amber Amina okay, h.
