- 0:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Hi everyone, it's Justin here of Voices for Voices.
- 0:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you so much for joining us today on this episode of the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast.
- 0:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're so grateful to have you with us, whether you're here in the United States or at some point across the world.
- 0:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We love you.
- 0:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We thank you for your support.
- 0:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we look forward to this episode today.
- 0:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And today's episode, we're going to talk about the word ambassador.
- 0:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we're not going to use Wikipedia.
- 0:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not going to use the Merriam Dictionary.
- 0:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're going to use just regular terms that uh we would think about when we hear the word ambassador.
- 1:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And for me, what that means is for what ambassador means is a person who is a representative from an organization, a country to others, to share, to have camaraderie, to come together, to find ways where we can work together as people of the world, as a human being, and as another human being, to be able to link that together and have us be able to talk, share, be able to just come together, break bread, have maybe a luncheon, a dinner, and just talk about talk about life, talk about areas that we have in common.
- 2:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so what do I mean by that?
- 2:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's think of the sport coach.
- 3:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Whatever sport that may be.
- 3:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You or the other person is an ambassador.
- 3:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you come together with another team.
- 3:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Another coach.
- 3:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And you're representing that person, that team, that squad.
- 3:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's that's an ambassador.
- 3:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I know we don't think of it like that.
- 3:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't think of like, oh, I'm an ambassador for uh the uh, you know, the Chicago Cubs, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Seattle Seahawks, the New England Patriots coming up with the Super American Football Super Bowl very soon.
- 4:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But every single one of those individuals, from the manager of the locker rooms, making sure the right jerseys, the right pants, the right shoes, the right workout gear, all those, all those things are are important.
- 4:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We may look at and go, oh, that's how's that an ambassador?
- 4:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, you want your in that respect, you want your team to be aligned with what has been agreed upon.
- 5:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if the team is going to be wearing red jerseys with blue and white numbers and letters, you want to make sure that you have those jerseys available for the players on your team.
- 5:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you're representing your team.
- 5:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No matter how low somebody wants to think of them, be like, well, yeah, I don't I don't have that that big of a big of a job, that big of a of a responsibility.
- 5:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But they actually do.
- 5:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: From the the the player to the coach, coaches to the uh uh officials who are going to officiate all the way from flipping the coin at the beginning, and then whoever wins the flip decides if they want to take the ball.
- 6:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're talking about American football here, uh, or they want the ball first, which means the other team will be kicking to them, or whether they want the ball in the second half.
- 6:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so there's all these ambassadors that we don't usually think about, and people don't think that they are, they think that maybe it's only for you know, something political, like the ambassador to a certain country.
- 7:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, that's correct.
- 7:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, that that that is an ambassador, but let's bring it down even to a lower level, like on a day-to-day.
- 7:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're an ambassador to our families, the things we do, the things we say, and as I've said, I'm not perfect, I don't claim to be, but I'm an ambassador for my family.
- 7:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So the word ambassador really is far-reaching.
- 8:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, we're representing a family, we're representing a team, we're representing a city, a country, a municipality, a township, a state.
- 8:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You name it.
- 8:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I was thinking about that today.
- 8:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: As I was thinking about what and how to express an ambassador.
- 8:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because in the up until this a short time ago, I was thinking that an ambassador was only country to country.
- 9:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I represent this country, another country has a representative, and and so we we try to work together to have peace and prosperity for both our countries, or both our states.
- 9:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we're talking about American football teams.
- 9:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We want to have fair play.
- 10:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't want it very many penalties.
- 10:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't want anybody to get hurt.
- 10:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes people do play in games and it's not on purpose.
- 10:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not on purpose.
- 10:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we're all we're all ambassadors.
- 10:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so you can kind of see where this is going, right?
- 10:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Voices for voices, an ambassador.
- 10:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm an ambassador for voices for voices to members all across the world.
- 11:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know I say, you know, we we reach in uh you know, the the hundred plus countries, a thousand plus cities.
- 11:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know it gets to be a little bit, I don't know, it it it just begins to be um okay, a hundred countries, a thousand cities.
- 11:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I hear it every time we watched a show or listened to the show.
- 11:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But when you think about it, that's big.
- 11:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a lot of countries.
- 11:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a lot of representatives.
- 11:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I am an ambassador of voices for voices to countries, to cities all over the world.
- 12:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it isn't, I don't say this lightly, I don't say this or even heavily to say, oh, look at me, I'm an ambassador.
- 12:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, I I don't I don't think of it like that.
- 12:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just sharing what the facts are that any country, any city, any territory, any province, you name it.
- 12:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I am the face and the voice of voices for voices.
- 12:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that makes me the ambassador of voices for voices, and it really is a heavy weight on my shoulders to think that to think that wow, first off, why have one hundred over one hundred countries and over one thousand cities tuned in to the Voices for Voices TV show and podcast?
- 13:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because we're based in the United States, so yes, there's a lot of states that we are ambassadors to.
- 13:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But when you start to think about countries, there's a lot of water we have in our world.
- 14:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, the Great Lakes, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea.
- 14:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh there's so much water that separates the United States from other countries.
- 14:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that to me it it it is very remarkable where we're at, where we've been.
- 14:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We could have given up.
- 14:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Trust me, there's there's so many times when we could have given up and thrown in a towel, said, you know what?
- 15:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm good.
- 15:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're good.
- 15:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's turn thrown a towel.
- 15:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not making a difference.
- 15:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or we're not making a big enough difference.
- 15:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I want to thank Dr.
- 15:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ray Grandy, EWTN, whether you're a believer of God or not.
- 15:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A couple years back, he was filming Living with Dr.
- 15:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ray, locally nearby.
- 15:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I had the opportunity to attend the tapings of multiple shows.
- 15:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I also had the ability to ask questions on the recordings, on the filmings with my Voices for Voices t-shirt on distribution of that show.
- 16:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot of countries.
- 16:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot.
- 16:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I want to give Dr.
- 16:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ray Garunde a lot of credit because in part that's probably one of the one of the avenues that got voices for voices out on a much bigger scale across the world, where the amount of countries we've reached and continue to reach episode by episode.
- 17:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so without that in those opportunities, I don't know where we would be.
- 17:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When I went went to the taping, I had no idea I was going to be able to ask a question.
- 17:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I was just looking to be in the audience that at some point the camera may pan across the audience and see my shirt.
- 18:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so the viewers would see voices for voices and may check it out.
- 18:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: May look it up.
- 18:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's like, wow, I'd really like to do this.
- 18:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just can't because I already have I already have something that I have planned.
- 18:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So what I'm trying to say is be on the lookout.
- 18:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you have a brand, even if it's your name, and you're using that as your brand to sell something, to uh maybe you have a show too.
- 19:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe you have something that you wanna that you want to share with the world.
- 19:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, keep your eyes peeled, keep your ears peeled.
- 19:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Your per your provider, your caregivers, let let them let them know that you do have an interest if said opportunity arises.
- 19:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why did you decide to do this?
- 19:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why did you decide to come here?
- 20:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why did you decide to take three days and come here and and and help?
- 20:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And at first I really didn't have a good answer.
- 20:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't know really what to say, other than I'm here, I want to help.
- 20:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: However, I can do that, I want to do that.
- 20:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I started to think, and that turned into my answer that I saw an opportunity to help.
- 20:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe I was gonna be in the region, and I could have added a day or two onto my travels, and so for me, it in those cases, it's easy to, if I'm able to, to add those couple of days and say, okay, well, I'm just gonna add a couple days, change my flights, boom, I'm done.
- 21:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's what I found on on most of these occasions.
- 21:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Where that's just where my mind sets out.
- 21:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's just where my head's at.
- 21:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I saw an opportunity to help, whatever that may be.
- 22:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe maybe it's something small.
- 22:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe it's something big.
- 22:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Excuse me, man.
- 22:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But just the fact that my head and my mind is already there.
- 22:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, if things line up, I just And you probably hear this a lot.
- 22:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just don't think as much.
- 22:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just do.
- 22:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm not saying I don't think at all.
- 22:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I do think.
- 22:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When I say I don't think, it means am I able to?
- 22:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What are the odds that I'll be back in a position like this?
- 23:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's really what it comes down to.
- 23:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If your mind is already in the headspace where you want to help, or whatever your thing is, when it comes up, a lot of times it comes out of the blue.
- 23:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or you may not have had a plan, or you may have had an itinerary, and then maybe a conversation leads to another conversation, and then an opportunity arises.
- 23:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then you have the ability to say, Yeah, okay.
- 24:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: How about if I I'm gonna be around that region?
- 24:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What can I do for in a day or two?
- 24:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's really what's been on our ministry, Voices for Voices.
- 24:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot of it's planned, and then there's some of it that isn't quite as planned.
- 24:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But when I look back on just that whole, let's say this whole trip, I don't have anything scheduled.
- 24:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just talking about when I look back on a trip, I go, wow, that extra thing that I've kind of find out found out at the last minute, but wouldn't have done it, then I wouldn't have made the trip as meaningful.
- 25:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And right, we can't we can't help every single person in the world.
- 25:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not a God, none of us are God, none of us are Jesus Christ, none of us are.
- 25:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have a huge goal, want to help over three billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond.
- 25:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do we reach that?
- 25:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know.
- 25:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Maybe we do, maybe we don't, but it keeps the fire, keeps keeps the grind alive to do shows, to continue, like put my head down, our heads down, and just go after it.
- 25:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's what we've done, it's what we've done, and it's what we're gonna continue to do.
- 26:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's that right there is kind of part of that formula.
- 26:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So to bring it back to being the ambassador, I am the ambassador for Voices for Voices.
- 26:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I am the face, the voice of the organization that is a 501c3 that does accept donations at lovevoices.org.
- 26:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we can't do the things that we do.
- 26:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We can't can't even come to you with these shows without your love and their support, and that's why it's so so so so important if you're able to be able to donate monetarily.
- 27:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because what you see and hear is only a fraction of the time that it takes to make the shows come to life to be live across all the different platforms, video, TV, audio, podcast.
- 27:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we can't do without you.
- 27:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But until I can't do this anymore, I'm gonna continue to do it.
- 27:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm gonna continue to be the ambassador for voices for voices, and potentially other parts of voices for voices as well.
- 28:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And to me that's exciting.
- 28:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We want to think about making a difference.
- 28:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes it's gonna be a big difference, sometimes it's gonna be a small difference, sometimes, in fact, a lot of times, we're not even gonna know what kind of difference we made to somebody or to some group.
- 28:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're just not we see numbers, we see downloads up uh of the the show of the podcast, and we also know that there are dignitaries and presidents and foreign ministers and even spies, I guess, uh that you know they have their ways and methods using private servers and doing things that are a little bit off the grid for their safety.
- 29:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we know we're reaching so many people.
- 29:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I love what we do here, Voices for Voices.
- 29:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I love the fact that I'm able to share my life so you know that you're not alone.
- 29:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, the stigma of mental health, mental illness.
- 29:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm getting through it the best I can.
- 29:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gotta have a team.
- 29:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gotta have a psychiatrist, have a therapist.
- 30:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gotta take time for yourself.
- 30:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Gotta get good sleep, good rest, rejuvenation.
- 30:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We can go on and on.
- 30:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But just think about that.
- 30:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're all ambassadors.
- 30:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Just like a previous show where I said we're all extraordinary because we are, because of the things we get through, the hurdles we uh cross, the uh obstacle course kind of do we get through day to day?
- 30:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're all extraordinary.
- 30:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, we're all ambassadors of our families of ourselves.
- 31:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, you might think, say, well, I'm single and I don't have a you know a family.
- 31:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just like a personal brand.
- 31:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're representing yourself from the time you wake up to the time that you lay your head on on the pillow at night.
- 31:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Being an ambassador, the same thing.
- 31:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People you meet, people you talk to.
- 31:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You never know what conversation who you're gonna talk to.
- 31:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There could be that point that helps you break through, and where that person might say, I don't I don't want any money.
- 31:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just want to see people successful.
- 31:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm gonna see people getting help.
- 31:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's what makes us at Voices for Voices is we talk about the raw subject matter like this.
- 32:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: From ordinary to extraordinary, that we're all ambassadors, some on a what may be thought of as a bigger level, and some not.
- 32:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But it doesn't matter.
- 32:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're all ambassadors.
- 32:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We all are representing at the very least ourselves.
- 32:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Very least we're representing ourselves.
- 32:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Could be representing a country, could be representing a city, province, territory.
- 32:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh student council, uh, all ambassadors, representatives.
- 33:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it's up to us to decide what we do with that.
- 33:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: How do we how do we take that responsibility?
- 33:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What do we do with that responsibility?
- 33:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do we just blow it off and go, well, this isn't this isn't making a big difference, so I'm not I'm not gonna put my time and energy into it.
- 33:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or are we gonna put our utmost time and energy and talent so we can be that voice for whoever that is, if it's being our own voice for us, or being voice for a country, for an organization, you see where I'm going with this.
