- 1:19Speaker 3: Okay, that's well that is so if it's not that,
- 1:22Speaker 3: what is it? Why would they say it's not racist?
- 1:24Speaker 2: That's I just they do if you confront them, they're like,
- 1:27Speaker 2: we're not racist.
- 1:28Speaker 3: It's pretty racist. This is about at all white supremacy.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That's that's racism.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Racism.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, it would seem to me.
- 1:37Speaker 1: All right, there's your Boner of the Day for today,
- 1:39Speaker 1: February three, twenty twenty five.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Now qualified to be Boner of the week.
- 1:44Speaker 3: You want me tell you a little bit about the
- 1:45Speaker 3: movie I saw?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Sure?
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I won't give anything away, although apparently famous last words.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Apparently if you watch the trailer, which I did not do. Uh,
- 1:56Speaker 3: your you should be warned against watching the trailer for
- 1:58Speaker 3: Companion because apparently it gives away some big plot points.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Does this a horror film?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a horror film. It's got Jack Quaid in it,
- 2:11Speaker 3: Sophie Thatcher, Uh, and it's got a little from what
- 2:17Speaker 3: we do in the Shadows. Manuel is that his name?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Uh?
- 2:22Speaker 3: That you know, the guy he wants to become a vampire?
- 2:25Speaker 3: Not Manuel, It's what is his name? The actor's name
- 2:30Speaker 3: is Harvey. Yeah, he's in it. He's really good Geram.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I should remember that Germo Germo Rupert friend is in it,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and Lucas Gage, Luke's Gage, Sophie Thatcher is excellent. She's
- 2:46Speaker 3: she was in ertic. Uh and uh, she's just great.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I haven't been a Jack Quaid fan. I didn't really
- 2:56Speaker 3: like him in The Boys very much. I know a
- 2:58Speaker 3: lot of people did. I don't know.
- 2:59Speaker 4: I just he's Quaid and Meg Ryan's kid. Yeah, don't
- 3:02Speaker 4: hold that against him.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Something about his performance and The Boys I just didn't
- 3:06Speaker 3: care for. But he's he's excellent in this and it's
- 3:12Speaker 3: it's it's very thoughtful movie in a lot of ways,
- 3:16Speaker 3: and there are there are some really good scares in it.
- 3:19Speaker 3: It's very entertaining, it moves along quickly and and I
- 3:23Speaker 3: would recommend it highly. And the reviews have been I
- 3:26Speaker 3: just was looking through some of the reviews and the
- 3:28Speaker 3: reviews have been quite positive for the most part. So
- 3:33Speaker 3: if you if you want to just and it's not
- 3:36Speaker 3: it brings up some really good points about things social,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you know, interaction between men and women and all of that,
- 3:44Speaker 3: but it's not it's not heavy on that. It's that
- 3:48Speaker 3: they don't they don't let that get in the way
- 3:50Speaker 3: of having a great story and exciting action and and
- 3:54Speaker 3: so I'd recommend it highly.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I decided I'd start watching some Academy or nominees. So
- 4:01Speaker 1: I watched Amelia Perez, Which would you check to see
- 4:07Speaker 1: if Gomora is nominated for Best Actress, Actress or supporting.
- 4:14Speaker 4: I think she's supporting because that's her movie. Oh really,
- 4:18Speaker 4: I really should be lead.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Not that thought.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Selena.
- 4:22Speaker 4: No, Selena is just in it.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You mean, yes, you know Zoey Seldon.
- 4:32Speaker 4: She is in every scene and she won, and she's
- 4:35Speaker 4: not she won the Golden Glow. She's not a supporting Uh.
- 4:40Speaker 4: She she's in every scene in that movie. It is
- 4:42Speaker 4: her move.
- 4:43Speaker 3: And it's a musical.
- 4:44Speaker 4: And it's a musical.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I liked it, Okay, you hate musicals.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I liked it, okay.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Because but it have to be a musical.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I wish it wasn't. I would like to see that
- 4:54Speaker 4: story not a music.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Why why do you think it was a musical? I mean,
- 4:57Speaker 3: I haven't seen it. It seems I don't know it's
- 5:00Speaker 3: without seeing it, it seems odd. That's a choice.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I think the people who made it just went, yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 4: let's do.
- 5:04Speaker 3: This, let's see if we can get away with this?
- 5:06Speaker 4: What else? Have you also watched? Substance?
- 5:10Speaker 3: I've been which.
- 5:13Speaker 2: You haven't seen that.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I've been sort of avoiding it.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I was with this movie until the last ten minutes.
- 5:18Speaker 3: What why?
- 5:19Speaker 4: It just it just went over the top, It just
- 5:22Speaker 4: went way too far.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I was, I was behind this movie the whole time
- 5:26Speaker 1: until the last ten minutes.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I've seen a picture of uh not not with Margaret
- 5:33Speaker 3: margaret quality. I've seen a picture of her in this makeup,
- 5:38Speaker 3: which is this body prosthetic that is so gross looking. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 3: I almost and I thought, I don't know if I
- 5:45Speaker 3: want to go there.
- 5:46Speaker 4: And then I saw a different man.
- 5:50Speaker 3: What's with with Bucky?
- 5:53Speaker 4: Oh that's the Sebastian stance.
- 5:55Speaker 2: That's the based on actual person.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's got the facial uhform, you know, deformed.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Oh it's that. Yeah, the guy, the British guy, his faith,
- 6:06Speaker 3: he's like the elephant.
- 6:07Speaker 4: And he's in the movie. Yeah, yeah, he's in the.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Yeah, he's apparently and apparently he's I mean he's I
- 6:13Speaker 3: mean idiots to look at, and yet he's charming. Hell,
- 6:18Speaker 3: everybody loves everybody loves him.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And so I was watching the movie and and you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: Sebastian Stan is great. He's great, All the performances are great.
- 6:25Speaker 3: It's very well done.
- 6:25Speaker 4: But I still don't get the point. I don't know
- 6:28Speaker 4: what the point was.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Well, I think that it's not.
- 6:31Speaker 2: About looks, because isn't the point that Sebastian Stan has
- 6:34Speaker 2: that disorder but.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Then magically magically looking, but he's still miserable.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's the looks start everything here.
- 6:43Speaker 2: That's all it is.
- 6:44Speaker 3: It just you know, it was it was just okay.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I'm kind of bummed that I know the twist in
- 6:49Speaker 2: Conclave is a tweet. There's a twist there is, and
- 6:54Speaker 2: I so now I'm not.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It got spoiled for you. Yeah. See, I didn't know
- 7:01Speaker 4: watching it. I was lucky.
- 7:02Speaker 3: I didn't know. Well, what is it?
- 7:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm not gonna say, but I think it will.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I think I think it's such a big twist that
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think it will, knowing that watching the whole thing
- 7:14Speaker 2: will ruin it for.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I haven't had any desire to see it because I don't.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I just it's just a bunch of actors standing around talking.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's an actorly movie filled with actors who are acting.
- 7:25Speaker 4: But you're an actor. Bill I don't like actors.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I do like it. I do like actors and I
- 7:30Speaker 3: like I like that.
- 7:31Speaker 4: I bet you's got John Lithgow. It's Stanley tuc.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I just don't like him standing around jabbering at each other.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Tucci is the best one because he's not acting. He's
- 7:41Speaker 1: just being himself, you know,
