  fishing

• 2:03

• 2:04
  She
• 2:04
  was
• 2:04
  the
• 2:04
  one
• 2:05
  that
• 2:05
  really
• 2:06
  got
• 2:06
  me
• 2:06
  fishing.
• 2:07
  My,
• 2:08
  my
• 2:08
  father
• 2:09
  didn't
• 2:09
  fish.
• 2:09
  My,
• 2:10
  I
• 2:11
  didn't
• 2:11
  know
• 2:11
  my
• 2:11
  grandfather
• 2:13
  on
• 2:13
  the
• 2:14
  one
• 2:14
  side,
• 2:14
  the
• 2:14
  grandfather
• 2:15
  on
• 2:15
  the
• 2:15
  other
• 2:15
  didn't
• 2:16
  fish.
• 2:16
  And
• 2:17
  yeah,
• 2:18
  my,
• 2:18
  my,
• 2:19
  my
• 2:19
  brothers
• 2:19
  and
• 2:20
  I
• 2:20
  spent
• 2:20
  A
• 2:21
  couple
• 2:21
  weeks
• 2:21
  every
• 2:21
  summer
• 2:22
  with
• 2:22
  my
• 2:22
  grandmother
• 2:23
  down
• 2:23
  through
• 2:23
  Jersey
• 2:24
  Shore.
• 2:24
  And
• 2:25
  he
• 2:25
  was
• 2:25
  like
• 2:25
  a
• 2:26
  drill
• 2:26
  sergeant.
• 2:26
  So
• 2:28
  he.
• 2:28
  He
• 2:29
  had
• 2:29
  us
• 2:29
  up
• 2:30
  catching
• 2:30
  bait
• 2:30
  fish,
• 2:31
  and
• 2:31
  then
• 2:31
  we
• 2:31
  use
• 2:31
  the
• 2:31
  bait
• 2:32
  fish
• 2:32
  to
• 2:32
  catch
• 2:32
  bigger
• 2:33
  fish
• 2:33
  and,
• 2:34
  you
• 2:34
  know,
• 2:34
  kind
• 2:34
  of
• 2:34
  like
• 2:35
  on
• 2:35
  Bugs
• 2:35
  Bunny
• 2:36
  when
• 2:37
  they
• 2:37
  do
• 2:37
  that
• 2:37
  routine
• 2:38
  and
• 2:39
  finally
• 2:39
  up
• 2:39
  to,
• 2:39
  you
• 2:39
  know,
• 2:40
  decent
• 2:40
  sized
• 2:40
  flounder
• 2:41
  or
• 2:41
  blue
• 2:42
  fish
• 2:42
  in
• 2:42
  the
• 2:42
  ocean.
• 2:42
  So
• 2:43
  it
• 2:43
  was
• 2:43
  pretty
• 2:44
  cool.
• 2:44
  Very
• 2:44
  neat.
• 2:45
  So
• 2:45
  when
• 2:45
  did
• 2:45
  you
• 2:45
  come
• 2:45
  to
• 2:45
  the
• 2:46
  dark
• 2:46
  side
• 2:46
  of
• 2:46
  fly
• 2:46
  fishing?
• 2:48
  Not
• 2:49
  until
• 2:49
  college.
• 2:51
  And
• 2:51
  it
• 2:52
  freshman
• 2:52
  year
• 2:52
  in
• 2:53
  College
• 2:53
  up
• 2:53

  University
• 2:54
  in
• 2:54
  upstate
• 2:55
  New
• 2:55
  York.
• 2:55
  And,
• 2:57
  you
• 2:57
  know,
• 2:57
  it
• 2:57
  was
• 2:57
  one
• 2:57
  of
• 2:57
  those
• 2:58
  deals
• 2:58
  where
• 2:59
  freshman
• 2:59

• 2:59
  you're
• 3:00
  just,
• 3:00
  you
• 3:00
  know,
• 3:00
  you're
• 3:01
  chatting
• 3:01
  with
• 3:01
  different
• 3:02
  people
• 3:02
  in
• 3:02
  your
• 3:03
  hall
• 3:03
  or
• 3:03
  in
• 3:04
  the
• 3:04
  dorm
• 3:04
  and,
• 3:05
  you
• 3:05
  know,
• 3:05
  what
• 3:05
  do
• 3:05
  you
• 3:05
  like
• 3:06
  to
• 3:06
  do?
• 3:06
  And.
• 3:07
  And
• 3:08
  a
• 3:08
  couple
• 3:08
  of
• 3:08
  us
• 3:10
  figured
• 3:10
  out
• 3:10
  we
• 3:10
  like
• 3:11
  fishing
• 3:12
  and
• 3:12
  so
• 3:12
  started
• 3:12
  fishing
• 3:13
  together.
• 3:14
  Fall
• 3:14
  of
• 3:15
  freshman
• 3:15
  year,
• 3:15
  and
• 3:17
  I
• 3:17
  think
• 3:17
  it
• 3:17
  was
• 3:18
  like
• 3:18
  October
• 3:19
  maybe,
• 3:19
  and
• 3:21
  we
• 3:21
  were
• 3:22
  just
• 3:22
  spinning
• 3:22
  rods
• 3:23
  and
• 3:23
  things
• 3:23
  like
• 3:23
  that,
• 3:23
  you
• 3:24
  know,
• 3:24
  that
• 3:24
  spinners,
• 3:25
  little
• 3:26
  Clios
• 3:26
  and.
• 3:27
  And
• 3:28
  out
• 3:28
  of
• 3:28
  nowhere,
• 3:28
  this
• 3:29
  guy
• 3:29

• 3:30
  This

  is

  comes

• 3:33
  of
• 3:33
  looked
• 3:33
  familiar.
• 3:34
  And
• 3:35
  I
• 3:35
  thought
• 3:35
  he
• 3:35
  was
• 3:35
  a
• 3:36
  conservation
• 3:36
  officer
• 3:37
  maybe
• 3:37
  at
• 3:37
  first,
• 3:37
  and
• 3:38
  we
• 3:38
  maybe
• 3:39
  had
• 3:39
  a
• 3:39
  few
• 3:39
  too
• 3:39
  many
• 3:40
  fish.
• 3:40
  I'm
• 3:40
  not
• 3:41
  sure.
• 3:42
  Anyway,
• 3:43
  it
• 3:43
  turns
• 3:44
  out
• 3:44
  the
• 3:44
  reason
• 3:44
  he
• 3:44
  looked
• 3:44
  familiar
• 3:45
  is
• 3:45
  we'd
• 3:45
  seen
• 3:46
  him
• 3:46
  around
• 3:46
  campus
• 3:46
  and
• 3:47
  he
• 3:47
  was
• 3:47
  the
• 3:47
  head
• 3:47
  of
• 3:47
  the
• 3:48
  biology
• 3:48
  Department
• 3:49
  at
• 3:49
  St.
• 3:49
  Lawrence.
• 3:50
  And
• 3:51
  I
• 3:52
  don't
• 3:52
  remember
• 3:52
  the
• 3:52
  exact
• 3:53
  way
• 3:53
  he
• 3:53
  said
• 3:54
  it,
• 3:54
  but
• 3:54
  in
• 3:55
  a
• 3:55
  nutshell,
• 3:55
  what
• 3:55
  he
• 3:56
  said
• 3:56
  was
• 3:57
  we
• 3:57
  were
• 3:57
  no
• 3:58
  longer
• 3:58
  boys.
• 3:58
  We
• 3:58
  were
• 3:59
  St.
• 3:59
  Lawrence,
• 3:59
  and
• 3:59
  we
• 4:00
  were
• 4:00
  men,
• 4:00
  and
• 4:01
  men
• 4:01
  didn't
• 4:01
  use
• 4:02
  spinning
• 4:02
  rods.
• 4:05
  So
• 4:06
  he.
• 4:06
  He
• 4:06
  might.
• 4:07
  For.
• 4:07
  For
• 4:08
  like
• 4:08
  three
• 4:08
  of
• 4:08
  us.
• 4:09
  I.
• 4:09
  It
• 4:09
  was.
• 4:10
  We
• 4:10
  were
• 4:10
  done.
• 4:11
  And
• 4:12
  it's
• 4:12
  been
• 4:13
  one
• 4:13
  of
• 4:13
  the
• 4:13
  things
• 4:13
  that,
• 4:14
  I
• 4:14
  mean,
• 4:14
  since
• 4:15
  that
• 4:15
  day,
• 4:17
  you
• 4:17
  know,
• 4:17
  I've
• 4:18
  had
• 4:18
  little
• 4:18
  breaks
• 4:18
  from
• 4:19
  it
• 4:19
  where.
• 4:20
  Where,
• 4:20
  you
• 4:20
  know,
• 4:20
  I
• 4:21
  haven't
• 4:21
  totally
• 4:21
  quit
• 4:22
  fly
• 4:22
  fishing,
• 4:22
  but
• 4:22
  I've
• 4:23
  kind
• 4:23
  of
• 4:23
  done
• 4:23
  other
• 4:23
  things.
• 4:24
  But
• 4:24
  it's
• 4:25
  pretty.
• 4:25
  It's
• 4:26
  pretty
• 4:26
  much
• 4:26
  been
• 4:26
  a
• 4:26
  constant
• 4:27
  for
• 4:27
  the
• 4:27
  last
• 4:27
  40
• 4:28
  years
• 4:29
  for
• 4:29
  me
• 4:30
  since.
• 4:30
  Since
• 4:30
  that
• 4:31
  day.
• 4:31
  Yeah,
• 4:32
  that's
• 4:32
  pretty
• 4:32
  neat.
• 4:32
  And
• 4:33
  so,
• 4:33
  you
• 4:33
  know,
• 4:33
  in
• 4:33
  that
• 4:34
  kind
• 4:34
  of
• 4:34
  storied
• 4:34
  history
• 4:34
  of
• 4:35
  fly
• 4:35
  fishing,
• 4:35
  who
• 4:35
  are
• 4:35
  some
• 4:36
  of
• 4:36
  the
• 4:36
  folks
• 4:36
  that
• 4:36
  have
• 4:36
  mentored
• 4:37
  you
• 4:37
  on
• 4:37
  your
• 4:37
  journey?
• 4:39
  Oh,
• 4:39
  I've.
• 4:39
  I've
• 4:40
  been
• 4:40
  very,
• 4:40
  very
• 4:41
  lucky.
• 4:42
  Dr.
• 4:42
  Green
• 4:43
  was
• 4:43
  one.
• 4:43
  He
• 4:44
  really
• 4:44
  helped
• 4:44
  us
• 4:44
  out,
• 4:45
  as
• 4:45
  did
• 4:46
  some
• 4:46
  of
• 4:46
  the
• 4:46
  other
• 4:47
  folks
• 4:47
  up
• 4:47
  at
• 4:47
  St.
• 4:48
  Lawrence.
• 4:48
  He
• 4:49
  introduced
• 4:50
  us
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  some
• 4:50
  of
• 4:51
  the
• 4:51
  guys
• 4:51
  that
• 4:52
  worked
• 4:52
  in
• 4:52
  the
• 4:52
  physical
• 4:52
  plant
• 4:53
  up
• 4:53
  there,
• 4:53
  and
• 4:54
  they
• 4:54
  were
• 4:54
  also
• 4:55
  fly
• 4:55
  fishermen,
• 4:56
  as
• 4:57
  was
• 4:57
  the
• 4:57
  athletic
• 4:58
  director
• 5:00
  at
• 5:00
  the
• 5:00
  time.
• 5:01
  And
• 5:02
  then
• 5:02
  once
• 5:02
  I
• 5:02
  graduated,
• 5:03
  I
• 5:04
  came
• 5:04
  back
• 5:04
  to
• 5:04
  New
• 5:04
  Jersey.
• 5:05
  And
• 5:08
  probably
• 5:08
  the
• 5:08
  biggest
• 5:09
  influence
• 5:09
  on
• 5:09
  my
• 5:09
  fly
• 5:10
  fishing
• 5:10
  was
• 5:11
  a
• 5:11
  guy
• 5:11
  that
• 5:13
  owned
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  local
• 5:13
  fly
• 5:14
  shop
• 5:14
  here
• 5:14
  in
• 5:14
  Californ.
• 5:15
  His
• 5:15
  name
• 5:16
  was
• 5:16
  Les
• 5:16
  Shannon.
• 5:16
  He's
• 5:17
  no
• 5:17
  longer
• 5:17
  with
• 5:17
  us.
• 5:17
  He
• 5:18
  died
• 5:18
  of
• 5:18
  cancer
• 5:19
  quite
• 5:19
  a
• 5:19
  few
• 5:19
  years
• 5:19
  ago
• 5:20
  now.
• 5:20
  The
• 5:20
  shop
• 5:21
  is
• 5:21
  still
• 5:21
  there
• 5:21
  though.
• 5:22
  Used
• 5:23
  to
• 5:23
  be
• 5:23
  Shannon's
• 5:24
  Flying
• 5:24
  Tackle.
• 5:25
  Now.
• 5:25
  Now
• 5:26
  it's
• 5:26
  South
• 5:26
  Branch
• 5:27
  Outfitters,
• 5:27
  new
• 5:27
  owners.
• 5:29
  But,
• 5:30
  but
• 5:30
  Less
• 5:31
  was
• 5:32
  a
• 5:33
  school
• 5:34
  kind
• 5:34
  of
• 5:34
  in
• 5:35
  the
• 5:35
  Catskill
• 5:35
  method
• 5:36
  of
• 5:36
  tying,
• 5:37
  particularly
• 5:37
  Catskill
• 5:38
  style.
• 5:38
  Drives
• 5:39
  excellent
• 5:40
  tire
• 5:41
  engineer
• 5:41
  by
• 5:42
  trade
• 5:43
  but.
• 5:43
  But
• 5:44
  owned
• 5:44
  a
• 5:44
  little
• 5:44
  fly
• 5:45
  shop
• 5:45
  and
• 5:46
  I
• 5:46
  was
• 5:47
  living
• 5:47
  in
• 5:47
  closer
• 5:48
  to
• 5:48
  Manhattan,
• 5:49
  working
• 5:50
  in
• 5:50
  there
• 5:50
  after
• 5:51
  college.
• 5:51
  But
• 5:52
  every
• 5:54
  gosh,
• 5:54
  every
• 5:55
  night
• 5:55
  in
• 5:55
  season
• 5:56
  I.
• 5:56
  I
• 5:56
  drive
• 5:56
  an
• 5:56
  hour
• 5:57
  west
• 5:57
  to
• 5:57
  hear
• 5:58
  Californ
• 6:00
  and
• 6:01
  fish
• 6:01
  and
• 6:01
  then
• 6:01
  go
• 6:02
  and
• 6:02
  stop.
• 6:02
  Les
• 6:03
  would
• 6:03
  be
• 6:03
  tying
• 6:03
  in
• 6:04
  the
• 6:04
  shop
• 6:04
  and
• 6:05
  I'd
• 6:06
  stop
• 6:06
  in
• 6:07
  and
• 6:07
  he
• 6:08
  helped
• 6:08
  me
• 6:08
  a
• 6:09
  ton
• 6:09
  with
• 6:09
  tying.
• 6:10
  And
• 6:11
  he
• 6:11
  was
• 6:12
  kind
• 6:12
  of
• 6:12
  a
• 6:12
  cranky
• 6:13
  old
• 6:13
  guy.
• 6:13
  That's
• 6:14
  most
• 6:14
  people
• 6:14
  know
• 6:14
  him
• 6:15
  as
• 6:15
  being
• 6:15
  really
• 6:15
  cranky
• 6:16
  and
• 6:18
  he
• 6:18
  was
• 6:19
  real
• 6:19
  strict
• 6:20
  about
• 6:20
  how
• 6:20
  he
• 6:20
  want
• 6:21
  of
• 6:21
  the
• 6:21
  tie
• 6:21
  and
• 6:22
  everything.
• 6:22
  But
• 6:23
  they're,
• 6:23
  they're,
• 6:23
  they're
• 6:24
  lessons
• 6:24
  and
• 6:24
  kind
• 6:25
  of
• 6:25
  things
• 6:25
  that
• 6:25
  I've
• 6:25
  taken
• 6:26
  with
• 6:26
  me
• 6:26
  throughout
• 6:26
  my
• 6:26
  tying
• 6:27
  career.
• 6:28
  So
• 6:28
  yeah,
• 6:29
  I
• 6:29
  owe
• 6:29
  less
• 6:30
  than
• 6:30
  a
• 6:30
  lot.
• 6:31
  Yeah.
• 6:31
  It's
• 6:32
  interesting
• 6:32
  you
• 6:32
  say
• 6:32
  that
• 6:32
  while
• 6:32
  you
• 6:33
  were
• 6:33
  telling
• 6:33
  that
• 6:33
  story.
• 6:33
  It
• 6:33
  made
• 6:34
  me
• 6:34
  think
• 6:34
  about
• 6:34
  like
• 6:34
  how
• 6:35
  precise
• 6:35
  Dave
• 6:35
  Brandt
• 6:36
  was
• 6:36
  when
• 6:36
  he
• 6:36
  tied.
• 6:38
  Exactly.
• 6:38
  And
• 6:39
  I'm
• 6:39
  telling
• 6:39
  you
• 6:40
  Les
• 6:40
  was
• 6:40
  from
• 6:41
  that
• 6:41
  exact
• 6:41
  same
• 6:42
  school.
• 6:42
  You
• 6:42
  know,
• 6:43
  Walt
• 6:43
  Whitney,
• 6:44
  Deddy
• 6:44
  Harvey
• 6:45
  or
• 6:45
  Darby's
• 6:46
  that,
• 6:47
  that
• 6:47
  whole
• 6:48
  Catskill
• 6:49
  group
• 6:49
  and
• 6:50
  kind
• 6:50
  of
• 6:51
  method
• 6:51
  of
• 6:51
  tying
• 6:52
  and
• 6:55
  what
• 6:55
  just.
• 6:55
  It
• 6:56
  kills
• 6:56
  me
• 6:56
  to
• 6:56
  this
• 6:57
  day,
• 6:57
  Marvin.
• 6:58
  I'd
• 6:58
  gotten
• 6:58
  a
• 6:59
  whole
• 6:59
  bunch
• 7:00
  over
• 7:00
  the
• 7:00
  years,
• 7:00
  collected
• 7:02
  Less
• 7:03
  is
• 7:03
  flies
• 7:04
  at
• 7:04
  Less
• 7:04
  himself
• 7:05
  tied
• 7:06
  and
• 7:06
  had
• 7:06
  them
• 7:07
  all
• 7:07
  organized
• 7:08
  and
• 7:08
  everything
• 7:08
  like
• 7:09
  that.
• 7:09
  And
• 7:09
  about
• 7:10
  10
• 7:10
  years
• 7:10
  ago
• 7:11
  lost
• 7:12
  them
• 7:12
  all
• 7:12
  to
• 7:13
  bugs.
• 7:14
  They
• 7:15
  literally
• 7:15
  ate
• 7:16
  every
• 7:16
  single
• 7:17
  one.
• 7:18
  It
• 7:18
  was
• 7:19
  one
• 7:19
  of
• 7:19
  those
• 7:19
  things.
• 7:19
  I
• 7:20
  thought
• 7:20
  I
• 7:20
  had
• 7:20
  him
• 7:20
  packed
• 7:21
  away
• 7:21
  well
• 7:22
  and
• 7:24
  hadn't
• 7:24
  even
• 7:25
  looked
• 7:25
  at
• 7:25
  the
• 7:25
  collection
• 7:26
  in
• 7:26
  a
• 7:26
  while
• 7:27
  and
• 7:28
  opened
• 7:29
  it
• 7:29
  up
• 7:29
  and
• 7:30
  one
• 7:30
  of
• 7:30
  those
• 7:31
  just
• 7:31
  irreplaceable.
• 7:33
  And
• 7:34
  he
• 7:34
  passed
• 7:34
  away
• 7:34
  by
• 7:35
  that
• 7:35
  point.
• 7:35
  So
• 7:36
  no
• 7:36
  way
• 7:36
  to
• 7:37
  get
• 7:37
  the
• 7:37
  flies
• 7:37
  back.
• 7:38
  Real
• 7:39
  bummer.
• 7:40
  And
• 7:40
  so
• 7:41
  was
• 7:41
  your
• 7:41
  interest
• 7:41
  in
• 7:42
  fly
• 7:42
  tying?
• 7:43
  Did
• 7:43
  it
• 7:43
  happen
• 7:44
  really
• 7:44
  quickly
• 7:44
  after
• 7:45
  you
• 7:45
  got
• 7:45
  roped
• 7:46
  in
• 7:46
  in
• 7:46
  college
• 7:46
  or
• 7:47
  did
• 7:47
  it
• 7:47
  take
• 7:47
  a
• 7:47
  little
• 7:47
  while?
• 7:49
  Yeah,
• 7:49
  and
• 7:50
  it
• 7:50
  was,
• 7:51
  it
• 7:51
  was,
• 7:53
  that
• 7:53
  was
• 7:53
  very
• 7:53
  much
• 7:54
  a
• 7:54
  part
• 7:54
  of
• 7:54
  it
• 7:55
  early
• 7:55
  on.
• 7:55
  What
• 7:56
  was
• 7:56
  the
• 7:56
  tie.
• 7:57
  And
• 7:57
  very,
• 7:57
  very
• 7:58
  simple
• 7:58
  stop.
• 7:58
  I
• 7:59
  mean
• 7:59
  ridiculously
• 8:00
  simple
• 8:01
  stuff.
• 8:02
  And,
• 8:03
  but,
• 8:04
  but
• 8:04
  for
• 8:05
  me
• 8:05
  anyway,
• 8:06
  once
• 8:06
  I
• 8:07
  graduated
• 8:08
  and
• 8:08
  came
• 8:09
  back
• 8:09
  and
• 8:09
  was
• 8:11
  living
• 8:12
  in
• 8:12
  Summit,
• 8:13
  New
• 8:13
  Jersey
• 8:14
  and
• 8:14
  working
• 8:14
  in
• 8:15
  the.
• 8:15
  The
• 8:16
  town
• 8:16
  next
• 8:16
  door,
• 8:19
  then
• 8:20
  I
• 8:20
  just
• 8:20
  became
• 8:21
  obsessed.
• 8:22
  Just
• 8:23
  bad
• 8:25
  and
• 8:26
  you
• 8:26
  know,
• 8:26
  getting
• 8:27
  off
• 8:27
  work
• 8:27
  and
• 8:27
  going
• 8:28
  home
• 8:28
  and
• 8:28
  tying
• 8:28
  for
• 8:29
  two
• 8:29
  or
• 8:29
  three
• 8:29
  hours
• 8:29
  at
• 8:30
  a
• 8:30
  time
• 8:30
  and
• 8:30
  then
• 8:31
  getting
• 8:31
  up
• 8:31
  early
• 8:32
  in
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  morning
• 8:32
  and
• 8:32
  tying.
• 8:33
  So,
• 8:34
  yeah.
• 8:35
  Yeah,
• 8:36
  that's.
• 8:36
  That's
• 8:37
  interesting.
• 8:37
  I
• 8:37
  mean,
• 8:37
  and
• 8:37
  so
• 8:38
  it's
• 8:38
  interesting.
• 8:38
  So
• 8:38
  you,
• 8:38
  you
• 8:38
  know,
• 8:39
  you've
• 8:39
  been
• 8:39
  at
• 8:40
  this
• 8:40
  for
• 8:40
  a
• 8:40
  while
• 8:40
  and,
• 8:41
  you
• 8:41
  know,
• 8:41
  I'm
• 8:41
  kind
• 8:41
  of
• 8:42
  curious,
• 8:42
  kind
• 8:42
  of
• 8:42
  what
• 8:43
  has
• 8:43
  kept
• 8:44
  you
• 8:44
  fly
• 8:44
  fishing
• 8:44
  and
• 8:45
  fly
• 8:45
  tying
• 8:45
  all
• 8:45
  these
• 8:45
  years
• 8:46
  and
• 8:46
  how
• 8:46
  you
• 8:46
  didn't
• 8:46
  become
• 8:46
  a
• 8:46
  golfer
• 8:47
  or
• 8:47
  pick
• 8:47
  up
• 8:47
  another
• 8:47
  hobby.
• 8:48
  Right.
• 8:49
  Well,
• 8:50
  I
• 8:50
  kind
• 8:51
  of
• 8:51
  did.
• 8:54
  I'm
• 8:54
  one
• 8:54
  of
• 8:55
  those
• 8:55
  guys
• 8:55
  that
• 8:55
  I
• 8:56
  can't
• 8:56
  really
• 8:56
  do
• 8:56
  anything
• 8:57
  kind
• 8:57
  of
• 8:57
  halfway.
• 8:58
  I
• 8:59
  get
• 8:59
  pretty
• 8:59
  obsessive
• 9:00
  about
• 9:00
  things.
• 9:01
  And
• 9:03
  so
• 9:04
  in
• 9:04
  the
• 9:04
  time
• 9:05
  since
• 9:06
  then,
• 9:06
  I
• 9:07
  kept
• 9:08
  on
• 9:08
  fly
• 9:08
  fishing,
• 9:09
  but
• 9:10
  sometimes
• 9:11
  more
• 9:11
  than
• 9:11
  others.
• 9:12
  And
• 9:13
  my
• 9:14
  wife
• 9:15
  Joan
• 9:15
  and
• 9:15
  I
• 9:16
  moved
• 9:16
  to
• 9:16
  Californ
• 9:17
  actually
• 9:18
  as
• 9:18
  a
• 9:18
  result
• 9:19
  of
• 9:19
  fishing
• 9:19
  up
• 9:19
  here
• 9:20
  when
• 9:20
  we
• 9:21
  got
• 9:21
  married
• 9:22
  and
• 9:22
  everything
• 9:22
  like
• 9:22
  that.
• 9:23
  You
• 9:23
  know,
• 9:23
  most
• 9:24
  people
• 9:25
  will
• 9:25
  look
• 9:25
  at
• 9:25
  the
• 9:26
  school
• 9:26
  system,
• 9:27
  maybe
• 9:27
  the
• 9:27
  taxes,
• 9:28
  what's
• 9:28
  going
• 9:29
  on
• 9:29
  in
• 9:29
  the
• 9:29
  town.
• 9:30
  For
• 9:30
  me,
• 9:30
  it
• 9:30
  was
• 9:31
  that
• 9:31
  there's
• 9:32
  a
• 9:32
  beautiful
• 9:32
  trout
• 9:33
  stream
• 9:33
  that
• 9:33
  flows
• 9:34
  right
• 9:34
  through
• 9:34
  the
• 9:34
  center
• 9:34
  of
• 9:35
  town.
• 9:35
  There
• 9:35
  was
• 9:35
  a
• 9:36
  general
• 9:36
  store,
• 9:37
  post
• 9:37
  office,
• 9:37
  and
• 9:37
  a
• 9:37
  fly
• 9:38
  shop.
• 9:39
  And
• 9:39
  so
• 9:40
  we've
• 9:40
  been
• 9:40
  here
• 9:41
  for
• 9:41
  almost
• 9:41
  40
• 9:42
  years
• 9:42
  now.
• 9:43
  Anyway,
• 9:44
  back
• 9:45
  to
• 9:45
  the
• 9:45
  question.
• 9:46
  In
• 9:46
  that
• 9:46
  time,
• 9:46
  I've
• 9:47
  also
• 9:47
  done
• 9:47
  things.
• 9:48
  I
• 9:48
  got
• 9:48
  hopelessly
• 9:49
  addicted
• 9:49
  to
• 9:50
  sailboarding
• 9:51
  for
• 9:51
  a
• 9:51
  long
• 9:51
  time
• 9:53
  and
• 9:53
  sailed
• 9:54
  all
• 9:54
  over
• 9:54
  the
• 9:55
  east
• 9:55
  coast
• 9:55
  anyway,
• 9:56
  Hawaii.
• 9:59
  And
• 9:59
  then
• 10:00
  it
• 10:00
  was
• 10:00
  shotgun
• 10:01
  sports
• 10:01
  for
• 10:01
  a
• 10:01
  while
• 10:02
  and
• 10:03
  sporting
• 10:03
  clays
• 10:03
  and
• 10:04
  trap
• 10:05
  and
• 10:05
  all
• 10:06
  the
• 10:06
  stuff
• 10:06
  that
• 10:06
  goes
• 10:07
  along
• 10:07
  with
• 10:07
  that.
• 10:08
  And
• 10:08
  then
• 10:08
  for
• 10:09
  quite
• 10:09
  a
• 10:09
  few
• 10:09
  years,
• 10:10
  honestly,
• 10:11
  if.
• 10:12
  If
• 10:12
  you
• 10:12
  had
• 10:12
  asked
• 10:12
  me
• 10:13
  to
• 10:13
  choose
• 10:13
  between
• 10:14
  duck
• 10:14
  hunting
• 10:14
  and
• 10:15
  fly
• 10:16
  fishing,
• 10:16
  I
• 10:16
  probably
• 10:17
  would
• 10:17
  have
• 10:17
  chosen
• 10:17
  duck
• 10:18
  hunting.
• 10:18
  Really
• 10:19
  was
• 10:19
  into
• 10:19
  it.
• 10:19
  New
• 10:19
  Jersey,
• 10:20
  the
• 10:20
  Jersey
• 10:21
  shore
• 10:21
  is
• 10:21
  very
• 10:21
  famous
• 10:22
  for
• 10:22
  it,
• 10:22
  and.
• 10:23
  And
• 10:23
  so
• 10:23
  was
• 10:24
  into
• 10:24
  that.
• 10:24
  But
• 10:25
  always
• 10:25
  in
• 10:25
  the
• 10:26
  background
• 10:26
  was
• 10:26
  fly
• 10:26
  fishing
• 10:27
  and
• 10:27
  fly
• 10:27
  tying.
• 10:28
  Never,
• 10:28
  never
• 10:29
  really
• 10:29
  forgot
• 10:29
  about
• 10:30
  it,
• 10:30
  but,
• 10:30
  you
• 10:31
  know,
• 10:31
  kind
• 10:31
  of
• 10:31
  came
• 10:31
  in
• 10:32
  waves.
• 10:32
  Yeah,
• 10:33
  it's
• 10:33
  funny
• 10:33
  you
• 10:33
  say
• 10:34
  that.
• 10:34
  So
• 10:34
  my
• 10:34
  rule
• 10:34
  would
• 10:34
  always
• 10:35
  be
• 10:35
  if
• 10:35
  I
• 10:35
  had
• 10:35
  a
• 10:35
  half
• 10:36
  a
• 10:36
  day,
• 10:36
  I'd
• 10:36
  go
• 10:36
  shoot
• 10:36
  sporting
• 10:37
  clays.
• 10:37
  Enough.
• 10:37
  I
• 10:37
  had
• 10:37
  a
• 10:37
  whole
• 10:38
  day,
• 10:38
  I'd
• 10:38
  go
• 10:38
  fishing.
• 10:40
  Yeah,
• 10:41
  perfect.
• 10:42
  So
• 10:43
  I,
• 10:43
  you
• 10:43
  know,
• 10:43
  I
• 10:44
  have.
• 10:45
  I
• 10:45
  have
• 10:45
  a
• 10:46
  barn
• 10:46
  and
• 10:47
  a
• 10:47
  basement
• 10:47
  full
• 10:48
  of
• 10:48
  former
• 10:48
  hobbies.
• 10:50
  And,
• 10:51
  you
• 10:51
  know,
• 10:51
  you
• 10:51
  always
• 10:52
  say
• 10:52
  you're
• 10:52
  going
• 10:52
  to
• 10:52
  get
• 10:52
  back
• 10:52
  to
• 10:53
  them,
• 10:53
  but.
• 10:53
  But
• 10:53
  the
• 10:53
  fly
• 10:54
  fishing
• 10:54
  and
• 10:54
  fly
• 10:55
  tying
• 10:55
  is
• 10:55
  really
• 10:55
  taking
• 10:56
  over.
• 10:57
  And
• 10:58
  not
• 10:58
  a
• 10:58
  lot
• 10:58
  of
• 10:59
  time
• 10:59
  for,
• 10:59
  you
• 10:59
  know,
• 10:59
  between
• 11:00
  work
• 11:00
  and
• 11:01
  tying
• 11:02
  and
• 11:02
  fishing
• 11:02
  and
• 11:02
  hosting
• 11:03
  trips
• 11:03
  and
• 11:03
  all
• 11:04
  that
• 11:04
  good
• 11:04
  stuff,
• 11:05
  not
• 11:05
  a
• 11:05
  lot
• 11:05
  of
• 11:06
  time
• 11:06
  for
• 11:06
  shooting
• 11:07
  sports
• 11:07
  or
• 11:08
  windsurfing
• 11:09
  anymore.
• 11:09
  Yeah,
• 11:09
  maybe
• 11:10
  you
• 11:10
  should
• 11:10
  come
• 11:10
  to
• 11:10
  the
• 11:11
  fly
• 11:11
  fishing
• 11:11
  show
• 11:11
  and
• 11:11
  wear
• 11:12
  jams
• 11:12
  and
• 11:12
  good
• 11:12
  old
• 11:13
  OP
• 11:13
  T
• 11:13
  shirts
• 11:14
  and
• 11:14
  stuff.
• 11:15
  Yeah,
• 11:15
  yeah.
• 11:16
  Oh,
• 11:16
  I
• 11:16
  still
• 11:17
  got
• 11:17
  them.
• 11:17
  I
• 11:17
  don't
• 11:18
  think
• 11:18
  any
• 11:18
  of
• 11:18
  them
• 11:18
  fit
• 11:19
  anymore,
• 11:19
  but
• 11:20
  it's
• 11:21
  all
• 11:21
  good.
• 11:22
  So
• 11:23
  you
• 11:23
  know,
• 11:23
  for
• 11:23
  a
• 11:23
  lot
• 11:23
  of
• 11:23
  us,
• 11:24
  our
• 11:24
  fishing
• 11:24
  season
• 11:25
  is
• 11:25
  kind
• 11:25
  of
• 11:25
  winding
• 11:25
  down.
• 11:26
  And
• 11:26
  I
• 11:26
  know
• 11:26
  you're
• 11:27
  out
• 11:27
  on
• 11:27
  the
• 11:27
  road
• 11:27
  a
• 11:27
  lot,
• 11:27
  not
• 11:28
  just
• 11:28
  with
• 11:28
  your
• 11:28
  hook
• 11:28
  to
• 11:29
  travel,
• 11:29
  but
• 11:29
  do
• 11:29
  you
• 11:29
  have
• 11:29
  any
• 11:29
  kind
• 11:30
  of
• 11:30
  memorable
• 11:30
  fishing
• 11:31
  adventures
• 11:31
  you
• 11:31
  want
• 11:31
  to
• 11:31
  share
• 11:31
  with
• 11:32
  our
• 11:32
  listeners?
• 11:34
  Oh,
• 11:35
  I
• 11:35
  mean,
• 11:36
  honestly,
• 11:37
  really
• 11:38
  too
• 11:38
  many
• 11:38
  to
• 11:39
  remember.
• 11:40
  I
• 11:40
  did
• 11:40
  just
• 11:42
  get
• 11:42
  back
• 11:42
  from
• 11:42
  one
• 11:43
  in
• 11:44
  way
• 11:44
  northern
• 11:45
  British
• 11:46
  Columbia,
• 11:47
  very
• 11:48
  northern
• 11:48
  end
• 11:48
  of
• 11:48
  the
• 11:49
  Rockies.
• 11:49
  And
• 11:50
  it
• 11:50
  was
• 11:50
  really
• 11:51
  special
• 11:51
  because
• 11:52
  my
• 11:52
  son
• 11:52
  Drew
• 11:53
  was
• 11:53
  with
• 11:53
  me
• 11:53
  and
• 11:54
  he's
• 11:54
  joined
• 11:54
  our
• 11:55
  video
• 11:55
  production
• 11:55
  business
• 11:56
  and
• 11:56
  his
• 11:58
  really
• 11:58
  taken
• 11:58
  to
• 11:58
  fly
• 11:59
  fishing.
• 12:01
  He
• 12:02
  did
• 12:02
  other
• 12:02
  things
• 12:03
  throughout
• 12:03
  school
• 12:04
  and
• 12:04
  played
• 12:04
  lacrosse
• 12:05
  in
• 12:05
  college.
• 12:06
  But
• 12:07
  just
• 12:08
  in
• 12:08
  the
• 12:08
  last
• 12:08
  couple
• 12:08
  of
• 12:08
  years
• 12:08
  he's
• 12:09
  gotten
• 12:09
  to
• 12:09
  be.
• 12:10
  We
• 12:10
  can't
• 12:10
  tell
• 12:10
  him
• 12:11
  this,
• 12:11
  Marvin,
• 12:11
  but
• 12:12
  he's
• 12:12
  got
• 12:12
  to
• 12:12
  be
• 12:12
  really
• 12:12
  good
• 12:13
  at
• 12:13
  fly
• 12:13
  fishing.
• 12:14
  Kind
• 12:15
  of,
• 12:15
  kind
• 12:15
  of
• 12:16
  pisses
• 12:16
  me
• 12:17
  off
• 12:17
  a
• 12:17
  little
• 12:17
  bit
• 12:17
  how
• 12:18
  quickly
• 12:18
  he
• 12:18
  picked
• 12:19
  it
• 12:19
  up,
• 12:19
  how
• 12:19
  well
• 12:19
  he
• 12:20
  casts
• 12:21
  things
• 12:21
  like
• 12:21
  that.
• 12:22
  But
• 12:22
  anyway,
• 12:23
  we
• 12:23
  got
• 12:23
  to
• 12:23
  take
• 12:23
  a
• 12:23
  trip
• 12:25
  with
• 12:25
  northern
• 12:25
  Rockies
• 12:26
  adventures
• 12:26
  just
• 12:26
  a
• 12:27
  couple
• 12:27
  of
• 12:27
  weeks
• 12:27
  ago.
• 12:27
  Really
• 12:30
  unbelievable
• 12:31
  place
• 12:32
  way
• 12:32
  up
• 12:32
  in
• 12:32
  British
• 12:33
  Columbia.
• 12:33
  And
• 12:34
  what,
• 12:34
  what
• 12:34
  made
• 12:34
  it
• 12:34
  so
• 12:35
  memorable
• 12:36
  first
• 12:36
  of
• 12:36
  all
• 12:36
  was
• 12:37
  fishing
• 12:37
  and
• 12:37
  shooting
• 12:38
  video
• 12:38
  with
• 12:38
  him.
• 12:39
  But,
• 12:39
  but
• 12:39
  secondly
• 12:41
  we
• 12:41
  were
• 12:41
  able
• 12:41
  to,
• 12:42
  in
• 12:42
  just
• 12:43
  four
• 12:43
  or
• 12:43
  five
• 12:43
  days
• 12:43
  of
• 12:44
  fishing,
• 12:44
  we,
• 12:44
  we
• 12:44
  ended
• 12:45
  up
• 12:45
  getting
• 12:45
  truly
• 12:46
  trophy
• 12:47
  pike
• 12:47
  to
• 12:47
  you
• 12:48
  know,
• 12:48
  45
• 12:48
  inches
• 12:50
  bull
• 12:51
  trout,
• 12:51
  you
• 12:52
  know,
• 12:52
  which
• 12:52
  for
• 12:52
  me
• 12:52
  is
• 12:53
  very,
• 12:53
  very
• 12:53
  unique.
• 12:54
  And
• 12:54
  lake
• 12:55
  trout,
• 12:56
  beautiful
• 12:57
  rainbow
• 12:57
  trout,
• 12:58
  big
• 12:58
  rainbow
• 12:58
  trout,
• 13:00
  grayling
• 13:01
  and
• 13:03
  gosh,
• 13:03
  I
• 13:04
  guess
• 13:04
  we
• 13:04
  had
• 13:04
  a
• 13:04
  shot
• 13:04
  at
• 13:05
  walleye.
• 13:06
  Just
• 13:07
  a
• 13:07
  remarkable
• 13:07
  place
• 13:08
  and
• 13:09
  to
• 13:09
  catch
• 13:09
  that
• 13:10
  variety
• 13:10
  of
• 13:10
  fish
• 13:12
  in
• 13:13
  really
• 13:13
  just
• 13:13
  a
• 13:13
  few
• 13:14
  days.
• 13:14
  Pretty
• 13:15
  remarkable.
• 13:16
  So
• 13:17
  that's
• 13:18
  been
• 13:18
  a
• 13:19
  recent
• 13:19
  highlight
• 13:19
  anyway.
• 13:20
  Very
• 13:21
  neat
• 13:21
  and
• 13:21
  before
• 13:22
  it's
• 13:22
  kind
• 13:22
  of
• 13:22
  funny,
• 13:22
  right,
• 13:22
  because
• 13:23
  we
• 13:23
  talked
• 13:23
  before
• 13:24
  we
• 13:25
  recorded
• 13:25
  and
• 13:25
  we're
• 13:25
  doing
• 13:25
  kind
• 13:25
  of
• 13:26
  the
• 13:26
  pre
• 13:26
  interview
• 13:26
  stuff
• 13:27
  that
• 13:27
  with
• 13:27
  guys
• 13:28
  like
• 13:28
  you
• 13:28
  and
• 13:28
  Tom
• 13:29
  that
• 13:29
  have
• 13:29
  been
• 13:29
  around
• 13:29
  and
• 13:29
  been
• 13:30
  interviewed
• 13:30
  a
• 13:30
  lot,
• 13:30
  I
• 13:31
  generally
• 13:31
  try
• 13:31
  to
• 13:31
  take
• 13:32
  a
• 13:32
  different
• 13:32
  approach.
• 13:32
  So
• 13:33
  folks,
• 13:33
  we're
• 13:33
  going
• 13:33
  to
• 13:33
  talk
• 13:33
  about
• 13:34
  Tim's
• 13:35
  hosted
• 13:36
  trips
• 13:36
  here
• 13:36
  and
• 13:36
  his
• 13:36
  travel
• 13:37
  in
• 13:37
  a
• 13:37
  minute.
• 13:37
  But
• 13:37
  I
• 13:38
  do
• 13:38
  want
• 13:38
  to
• 13:38
  touch
• 13:38
  on
• 13:39
  your
• 13:39
  video
• 13:39
  and
• 13:39
  tying
• 13:40
  work.
• 13:40
  And
• 13:41
  I
• 13:41
  know
• 13:41
  that
• 13:41
  tires
• 13:42
  are
• 13:42
  mad
• 13:42
  scientists
• 13:43
  and
• 13:43
  they're
• 13:43
  always
• 13:44
  playing
• 13:44
  around
• 13:44
  with
• 13:45
  new
• 13:45
  materials
• 13:45
  and
• 13:45
  tools.
• 13:46
  And
• 13:46
  I
• 13:46
  was
• 13:46
  kind
• 13:46
  of
• 13:46
  curious
• 13:46
  if
• 13:47
  you
• 13:47
  have
• 13:47
  anything
• 13:48
  on
• 13:48
  your
• 13:48
  bench
• 13:49
  you
• 13:49
  want
• 13:49
  to
• 13:49
  share
• 13:49
  with
• 13:49
  our
• 13:49
  listeners.
• 13:53
  Well,
• 13:54
  you're
• 13:55
  probably
• 13:55
  not
• 13:55
  going
• 13:55
  to
• 13:56
  want
• 13:56
  to
• 13:56
  hear
• 13:56
  this
• 13:56
  Marvin,
• 13:57
  but
• 13:57
  I'm
• 13:58
  tying
• 13:58
  during
• 13:58
  this
• 13:59
  interviews.
• 14:01
  I
• 14:02
  know
• 14:02
  that's
• 14:02
  bad
• 14:04
  but
• 14:05
  one,
• 14:05
  a
• 14:06
  couple
• 14:06
  of
• 14:06
  materials
• 14:06
  I'm
• 14:07
  using
• 14:08
  that
• 14:11
  actually
• 14:11
  both
• 14:11
  of
• 14:11
  them
• 14:12
  are
• 14:12
  from
• 14:13
  Semperfly
• 14:14
  and
• 14:15
  I,
• 14:18
  you
• 14:18
  know
• 14:18
  Only
• 14:19
  recently
• 14:19
  started
• 14:20
  using
• 14:21
  a
• 14:21
  lot
• 14:21
  of
• 14:21
  their
• 14:21
  materials.
• 14:22
  But
• 14:24
  two
• 14:24
  of
• 14:25
  them
• 14:25
  that
• 14:25
  are
• 14:25
  just
• 14:27
  real,
• 14:27
  real
• 14:27
  game
• 14:28
  changers
• 14:28
  for
• 14:28
  me
• 14:29
  anyway.
• 14:29
  One
• 14:30
  is
• 14:30
  the
• 14:31
  classic
• 14:32
  wax
• 14:33
  thread
• 14:33
  that
• 14:33
  they
• 14:33
  have
• 14:34
  in
• 14:34
  12.
• 14:35
  Amazingly
• 14:36
  strong
• 14:36
  stuff.
• 14:37
  Thin
• 14:37
  diameter,
• 14:38
  just
• 14:39
  absolutely
• 14:41
  does
• 14:41
  everything
• 14:42
  you
• 14:42
  want
• 14:42
  it
• 14:42
  to.
• 14:42
  Doesn't
• 14:43
  build
• 14:43
  up
• 14:43
  a
• 14:43
  lot
• 14:43
  of
• 14:43
  bulk,
• 14:44
  is
• 14:45
  quite
• 14:45
  strong
• 14:47
  and
• 14:47
  it
• 14:47
  just
• 14:48
  goes
• 14:48
  on
• 14:48
  perfectly.
• 14:50
  The
• 14:50
  other
• 14:50
  one,
• 14:53
  nothing
• 14:53
  really
• 14:54
  all
• 14:54
  that
• 14:54
  unique.
• 14:54
  They
• 14:55
  call
• 14:55
  it
• 14:55
  egg
• 14:55
  static.
• 14:56
  It's
• 14:56
  an
• 14:57
  egg
• 14:57
  yarn.
• 14:58
  And
• 14:59
  with
• 14:59
  you
• 14:59
  know
• 15:00
  with
• 15:00
  this
• 15:00
  fall
• 15:01
  season
• 15:01
  coming
• 15:01
  up
• 15:02
  for
• 15:02
  both
• 15:02
  trout
• 15:02
  and
• 15:02
  steelhead
• 15:04
  with
• 15:05
  guiding
• 15:05
  and
• 15:05
  everything,
• 15:06
  I
• 15:06
  have
• 15:06
  to
• 15:06
  produce
• 15:06
  a
• 15:07
  lot
• 15:07
  of
• 15:07
  eggs.
• 15:07
  And
• 15:08
  the
• 15:08
  stuff
• 15:08
  is
• 15:09
  literally
• 15:09
  just,
• 15:10
  just
• 15:10
  a
• 15:10
  little
• 15:10
  scud
• 15:11
  hook
• 15:11
  with
• 15:11
  a
• 15:11
  bead
• 15:12
  on
• 15:12
  it
• 15:12
  and
• 15:12
  then
• 15:12
  three
• 15:13
  turns
• 15:13
  of
• 15:13
  the
• 15:13
  8
• 15:14
  millimeter
• 15:14
  egg
• 15:15
  static
• 15:15
  and
• 15:16
  it's
• 15:16
  man
• 15:16
  you're
• 15:17
  good
• 15:17
  to
• 15:17
  go
• 15:18
  and
• 15:18
  makes
• 15:18
  beautiful
• 15:19
  little
• 15:19
  eggs.
• 15:20
  Couldn't
• 15:20
  be
• 15:20
  simpler.
• 15:21
  So
• 15:21
  yeah,
• 15:22
  there
• 15:22
  are
• 15:22
  two
• 15:22
  materials.
• 15:23
  I
• 15:23
  have
• 15:23
  a
• 15:24
  whole
• 15:24
  host
• 15:24
  of
• 15:24
  them,
• 15:26
  you
• 15:27
  know,
• 15:27
  new
• 15:27
  materials
• 15:28
  that
• 15:28
  are
• 15:28
  coming
• 15:28
  out
• 15:29
  and
• 15:29
  that
• 15:30
  I
• 15:30
  really
• 15:30
  really
• 15:30
  like.
• 15:31
  But.
• 15:31
  But
• 15:31
  that's
• 15:32
  two
• 15:32
  of
• 15:32
  them.
• 15:32
  Yeah,
• 15:32
  I
• 15:33
  know.
• 15:33
  Montana
• 15:33
  Fly
• 15:33
  company.
• 15:34
  I've
• 15:34
  been
• 15:34
  seeing
• 15:34
  a
• 15:34
  ton
• 15:34
  of
• 15:35
  new
• 15:35
  stuff
• 15:35
  coming
• 15:35
  out
• 15:35
  from
• 15:35
  those
• 15:36
  guys
• 15:36
  too.
• 15:37
  Yeah,
• 15:38
  and
• 15:39
  Falling
• 15:39
  Mill
• 15:39
  is
• 15:39
  another
• 15:39
  one.
• 15:40
  I've
• 15:40
  been
• 15:40
  working
• 15:40
  with
• 15:41
  Falling
• 15:41
  Mill
• 15:41
  for
• 15:41
  quite
• 15:41
  a
• 15:42
  few
• 15:42
  years
• 15:42
  now
• 15:42
  and
• 15:42
  they,
• 15:43
  they
• 15:43
  have
• 15:44
  some
• 15:44
  of
• 15:44
  my
• 15:44
  patterns
• 15:45
  that
• 15:45
  are
• 15:45
  sold
• 15:46
  commercially
• 15:46
  but
• 15:47
  they
• 15:48
  you
• 15:48
  know
• 15:48
  only
• 15:48
  within
• 15:48
  the
• 15:49
  last
• 15:49
  few
• 15:49
  years
• 15:49
  have
• 15:50
  started
• 15:50
  selling
• 15:51
  materials
• 15:51
  as
• 15:52
  well.
• 15:52
  And
• 15:52
  their
• 15:52
  stuff
• 15:53
  like
• 15:53
  their
• 15:53
  ultra
• 15:53
  dry
• 15:54
  yarn
• 15:54
  is
• 15:55
  lights
• 15:56
  out.
• 15:56
  I
• 15:56
  mean
• 15:57
  it's
• 15:57
  just
• 15:57
  beautiful
• 15:58
  texture,
• 15:59
  some
• 16:00
  translucency,
• 16:01
  a
• 16:01
  little
• 16:01
  bit
• 16:01
  of
• 16:01
  shimmer.
• 16:02
  It's
• 16:03
  treated
• 16:03
  with
• 16:04
  some
• 16:04
  you
• 16:05
  know,
• 16:05
  water
• 16:05
  resistant,
• 16:06
  whatever
• 16:07
  it
• 16:07
  is
• 16:07
  and
• 16:08
  so
• 16:08
  floats.
• 16:09
  Well
• 16:09
  you
• 16:10
  can
• 16:10
  use
• 16:10
  it
• 16:10
  for
• 16:10
  comparon
• 16:11
  style
• 16:12
  wings
• 16:12
  and
• 16:12
  tails.
• 16:14
  It's
• 16:14
  just
• 16:14
  like
• 16:14
  a
• 16:15
  dewalt
• 16:15
  material.
• 16:16
  Really
• 16:17
  nice.
• 16:18
  Also
• 16:19
  I
• 16:19
  gotta,
• 16:20
  I
• 16:20
  gotta
• 16:20
  give
• 16:20
  a
• 16:20
  little
• 16:21
  plug
• 16:21
  to
• 16:21
  their
• 16:21
  hooks
• 16:22
  as
• 16:22
  well.
• 16:25
  Particularly
• 16:25
  their
• 16:26
  black
• 16:26
  nickel
• 16:26
  finished
• 16:27
  Barbless
• 16:28
  series.
• 16:28
  Just
• 16:30
  real
• 16:31
  sexy
• 16:32
  looking
• 16:32
  hooks,
• 16:32
  you
• 16:33
  know,
• 16:33
  real
• 16:34
  nice
• 16:34
  bends
• 16:35
  and
• 16:37
  everything
• 16:37
  like
• 16:37
  that.
• 16:38
  Super
• 16:38
  strong
• 16:40
  and
• 16:40
  like
• 16:41
  them
• 16:41
  a
• 16:41
  lot.
• 16:42
  Yeah,
• 16:42
  very,
• 16:43
  very
• 16:43
  neat.
• 16:43
  And
• 16:43
  you
• 16:43
  know
• 16:45
  you
• 16:46
  have
• 16:46
  to
• 16:46
  have
• 16:46
  some
• 16:46
  new
• 16:47
  tech
• 16:47
  gizmos
• 16:47
  in
• 16:47
  the
• 16:48
  background
• 16:48
  on
• 16:48
  the
• 16:48
  video
• 16:49
  side.
• 16:49
  Anything
• 16:49
  like
• 16:49
  that
• 16:49
  you
• 16:50
  want
• 16:50
  to
• 16:50
  share
• 16:50
  with
• 16:50
  folks.
• 16:54
  Some
• 16:54
  yes
• 16:55
  and
• 16:55
  some
• 16:55
  no.
• 16:56
  I
• 16:57
  understand.
• 16:58
  Yeah,
• 16:59
  I
• 16:59
  still
• 16:59
  am
• 17:00
  in
• 17:00
  the
• 17:00
  video
• 17:00
  production
• 17:01
  business
• 17:01
  so
• 17:03
  some
• 17:03
  of
• 17:03
  this
• 17:03
  stuff
• 17:04
  we're
• 17:04
  going
• 17:04
  to
• 17:04
  keep,
• 17:05
  you
• 17:05
  know,
• 17:06
  keep
• 17:06
  quiet
• 17:07
  about
• 17:07
  that.
• 17:07
  But
• 17:09
  one
• 17:10
  of
• 17:10
  the,
• 17:10
  I
• 17:10
  mean
• 17:11
  actually
• 17:11
  a
• 17:11
  couple
• 17:12
  of
• 17:12
  the
• 17:12
  new
• 17:13
  Sony
• 17:13
  cameras,
• 17:15
  the
• 17:16
  ZV
• 17:17
  E10,
• 17:18
  amazing
• 17:19
  little
• 17:19
  camera
• 17:19
  for
• 17:20
  the
• 17:20
  money.
• 17:20
  If
• 17:20
  anybody's
• 17:21
  looking
• 17:21
  to
• 17:21
  do,
• 17:22
  you
• 17:22
  know,
• 17:22
  maybe
• 17:23
  start
• 17:23
  doing
• 17:23
  tying
• 17:24
  videos
• 17:24
  or
• 17:24
  live
• 17:25
  presentations
• 17:26
  for
• 17:27
  the
• 17:27
  money.
• 17:27
  It's
• 17:28
  an
• 17:28
  incredible
• 17:28
  camera,
• 17:29
  very
• 17:30
  capable
• 17:30
  4K.
• 17:32
  The
• 17:33
  other
• 17:33
  one,
• 17:33
  if
• 17:33
  you
• 17:33
  Want
• 17:33
  to
• 17:33
  spend
• 17:34
  a
• 17:34
  little
• 17:34
  more
• 17:34
  money
• 17:35
  is
• 17:36
  the
• 17:38
  6700
• 17:39
  does
• 17:41
  4K120
• 17:42
  frames
• 17:43
  per
• 17:43
  second,
• 17:44
  which
• 17:45
  just
• 17:45
  crazy
• 17:46
  for
• 17:46
  a
• 17:46
  small
• 17:46
  camera
• 17:47
  like
• 17:47
  that.
• 17:48
  And
• 17:48
  you
• 17:48
  just
• 17:48
  have
• 17:48
  to
• 17:48
  pair
• 17:48
  it
• 17:49
  with
• 17:49
  a
• 17:49
  Mac
• 17:49
  studio
• 17:50
  and
• 17:50
  you're
• 17:50
  in
• 17:50
  great
• 17:50
  shape,
• 17:50
  right?
• 17:51
  Yeah,
• 17:52
  yeah,
• 17:53
  exactly.
• 17:54
  Yeah,
• 17:55
  they,
• 17:55
  you
• 17:56
  know,
• 17:56
  if
• 17:56
  the
• 17:56
  camera
• 17:56
  prices
• 17:57
  are
• 17:58
  dropping,
• 17:59
  then
• 17:59
  you
• 17:59
  need
• 17:59
  that
• 17:59
  fast
• 18:00
  machine.
• 18:00
  You
• 18:00
  need
• 18:00
  the
• 18:01
  big
• 18:01
  hard
• 18:01
  drives,
• 18:03
  you
• 18:03
  know,
• 18:04
  really
• 18:04
  fast
• 18:04
  video
• 18:05
  cards,
• 18:05
  things
• 18:05
  like
• 18:06
  that.
• 18:06
  So
• 18:06
  they
• 18:07
  get
• 18:07
  you
• 18:07
  one
• 18:07
  way
• 18:07
  or
• 18:07
  another.
• 18:08
  But
• 18:09
  as
• 18:09
  compared
• 18:09
  to
• 18:09
  when
• 18:09
  I
• 18:10
  started
• 18:10
  Tightline
• 18:10
  Productions,
• 18:11
  Marvin,
• 18:12
  it's
• 18:12
  nothing.
• 18:13
  I
• 18:13
  mean,
• 18:13
  it's
• 18:14
  a
• 18:14
  pittance
• 18:14
  compared
• 18:15
  to
• 18:15
  what
• 18:15
  it
• 18:15
  was.
• 18:16
  And
• 18:16
  you
• 18:16
  know,
• 18:17
  back
• 18:17
  then,
• 18:18
  this
• 18:18
  is
• 18:18
  like
• 18:18
  1997,
• 18:20
  98
• 18:21
  when
• 18:21
  we
• 18:21
  got
• 18:22
  started,
• 18:23
  you
• 18:23
  know,
• 18:24
  a
• 18:24
  shoulder
• 18:25
  Sony
• 18:26
  Beta
• 18:26
  cam
• 18:26
  was
• 18:27
  starting
• 18:28
  at
• 18:28
  $30,000.
• 18:28
  And
• 18:29
  so,
• 18:30
  you
• 18:30
  know,
• 18:31
  even
• 18:31
  like
• 18:32
  a
• 18:32
  DV
• 18:33
  cam
• 18:33
  or
• 18:34
  something
• 18:34
  like
• 18:35
  that
• 18:36
  was,
• 18:36
  you
• 18:37
  know,
• 18:37
  15,000
• 18:38
  with,
• 18:38
  with
• 18:39
  broadcast
• 18:39
  lens
• 18:40
  on
• 18:40
  it.
• 18:40
  So
• 18:41
  everything's
• 18:41
  just
• 18:41
  gotten
• 18:42
  smaller,
• 18:42
  better,
• 18:43
  cheaper,
• 18:45
  which
• 18:45
  is
• 18:46
  wonderful.
• 18:46
  Yeah,
• 18:47
  I'll
• 18:47
  kind
• 18:48
  of
• 18:48
  pile
• 18:48
  on,
• 18:48
  on
• 18:48
  the
• 18:48
  ZV10,
• 18:49
  I
• 18:49
  would
• 18:49
  say.
• 18:49
  You
• 18:50
  know,
• 18:50
  what
• 18:50
  amazes
• 18:50
  me
• 18:51
  is
• 18:51
  the,
• 18:52
  the
• 18:52
  intelligence
• 18:52
  and
• 18:53
  the
• 18:53
  focus
• 18:53
  system.
• 18:54
  Right.
• 18:54
  Particularly
• 18:54
  for
• 18:54
  like
• 18:55
  time
• 18:55
  videos.
• 18:55
  Right.
• 18:56
  You
• 18:56
  know,
• 18:57
  to
• 18:57
  be
• 18:57
  able
• 18:57
  to
• 18:58
  sit
• 18:58
  there
• 18:58
  and
• 18:58
  like
• 18:58
  hold
• 18:58
  the
• 18:58
  pack
• 18:59
  of
• 18:59
  dubbing
• 18:59
  in
• 18:59
  front
• 18:59
  of
• 18:59
  the
• 19:00
  camera
• 19:00
  and
• 19:00
  then
• 19:00
  have
• 19:00
  it
• 19:00
  instantly
• 19:01
  come
• 19:01
  back
• 19:01
  and
• 19:01
  pop
• 19:01
  back
• 19:02
  on
• 19:02
  your
• 19:02
  face
• 19:02
  or
• 19:02
  on
• 19:02
  the
• 19:02
  vise
• 19:03
  is
• 19:03
  amazing.
• 19:04
  Yeah,
• 19:05
  yeah.
• 19:05
  Some
• 19:05
  of
• 19:06
  the
• 19:06
  tech.
• 19:06
  And
• 19:07
  you
• 19:07
  can
• 19:07
  see
• 19:08
  the,
• 19:08
  you
• 19:08
  can
• 19:09
  see
• 19:09
  this
• 19:09
  stuff
• 19:09
  coming
• 19:10
  down
• 19:10
  the
• 19:10
  road
• 19:10
  too.
• 19:10
  I
• 19:10
  mean,
• 19:11
  it's
• 19:11
  just
• 19:11
  a
• 19:11
  matter
• 19:12
  of
• 19:12
  time.
• 19:12
  I,
• 19:13
  I
• 19:13
  started
• 19:14
  doing
• 19:14
  photography
• 19:15
  back
• 19:15
  when
• 19:15
  we
• 19:15
  were
• 19:15
  using
• 19:16
  light
• 19:16
  meters.
• 19:17
  They
• 19:17
  weren't
• 19:17
  even
• 19:17
  building
• 19:18
  cameras,
• 19:18
  you
• 19:19
  know,
• 19:19
  it
• 19:19
  was
• 19:19
  all
• 19:19
  film.
• 19:19
  And
• 19:21
  you
• 19:21
  know,
• 19:21
  now
• 19:22
  everything
• 19:22
  is
• 19:22
  so
• 19:23
  automatic.
• 19:24
  And
• 19:24
  I
• 19:24
  imagine
• 19:25
  the
• 19:25
  day
• 19:25
  coming
• 19:26
  fairly
• 19:27
  soon
• 19:27
  where
• 19:27
  all
• 19:28
  you're
• 19:28
  literally
• 19:28
  going
• 19:28
  to
• 19:28
  do
• 19:29
  is
• 19:29
  point
• 19:29
  the
• 19:29
  camera,
• 19:30
  you
• 19:30
  know,
• 19:31
  compose
• 19:31
  your
• 19:31
  shot
• 19:33
  and
• 19:33
  then
• 19:34
  you
• 19:34
  can
• 19:35
  probably
• 19:35
  adjust
• 19:35
  focus
• 19:36
  and
• 19:36
  depth
• 19:36
  of
• 19:37
  field
• 19:37
  and
• 19:37
  you
• 19:38
  know,
• 19:38
  anything
• 19:38
  to
• 19:38
  do
• 19:39
  with
• 19:39
  color
• 19:39
  exposure
• 19:40
  in
• 19:40
  post,
• 19:42
  you
• 19:42
  know,
• 19:42
  in
• 19:42
  Photoshop
• 19:43
  or
• 19:43
  if
• 19:44
  you're
• 19:44
  editing
• 19:45
  it,
• 19:45
  video,
• 19:45
  you
• 19:46
  know,
• 19:46
  final
• 19:46
  cut
• 19:47
  or
• 19:47
  Premiere
• 19:48
  or
• 19:48
  something
• 19:48
  like
• 19:48
  that.
• 19:49
  But
• 19:49
  I
• 19:49
  think
• 19:49
  it'll
• 19:50
  all
• 19:50
  be
• 19:50
  handled
• 19:51
  digitally.
• 19:52
  Yeah.
• 19:53
  And
• 19:53
  we'll
• 19:53
  stay
• 19:53
  out
• 19:53
  of
• 19:54
  talking
• 19:54
  about
• 19:54
  AI.
• 19:56
  Yeah,
• 19:56
  yeah,
• 19:57
  please.
• 19:57
  But
• 19:59
  you
• 19:59
  know,
• 19:59
  you
• 19:59
  know,
• 20:00
  a
• 20:00
  lot
• 20:00
  of
• 20:00
  people,
• 20:00
  Tim,
• 20:00
  are
• 20:01
  super
• 20:01
  familiar
• 20:01
  with
• 20:01
  your
• 20:02
  fly
• 20:02
  tying
• 20:02
  and
• 20:02
  all
• 20:02
  of
• 20:02
  your
• 20:03
  fly
• 20:03
  tying
• 20:03
  videos,
• 20:03
  but
• 20:04
  I
• 20:04
  think
• 20:04
  a
• 20:04
  lot
• 20:04
  of
• 20:04
  folks
• 20:04
  don't
• 20:05
  know
• 20:05
  that
• 20:05
  you
• 20:05
  spend,
• 20:06
  I
• 20:06
  don't
• 20:06
  know,
• 20:06
  gosh,
• 20:07
  probably
• 20:07
  four
• 20:07
  to
• 20:08
  six
• 20:08
  weeks
• 20:08
  a
• 20:08
  year
• 20:08
  on
• 20:08
  the
• 20:09
  road
• 20:09
  hosting
• 20:09
  trips.
• 20:10
  And
• 20:10
  you
• 20:10
  know,
• 20:10
  I
• 20:10
  was
• 20:11
  really
• 20:11
  kind
• 20:11
  of
• 20:11
  curious,
• 20:11
  kind
• 20:12
  of
• 20:12
  how
• 20:12
  you
• 20:12
  got
• 20:12
  into
• 20:12
  the
• 20:12
  hosted
• 20:13
  travel
• 20:13
  game.
• 20:15
  Yeah,
• 20:15
  it
• 20:15
  was,
• 20:16
  this
• 20:16
  is
• 20:16
  quite
• 20:17
  a
• 20:18
  seven
• 20:18
  or
• 20:18
  eight
• 20:19
  Years
• 20:19
  ago,
• 20:19
  maybe
• 20:19
  nine
• 20:20
  years
• 20:20
  ago,
• 20:21
  we
• 20:22
  really
• 20:22
  hadn't
• 20:22
  thought
• 20:23
  about
• 20:23
  hosted
• 20:24
  travel
• 20:24
  and
• 20:26
  got
• 20:26
  a
• 20:26
  call
• 20:27
  from.
• 20:29
  It
• 20:29
  was
• 20:29
  then
• 20:29
  Andy's
• 20:30
  drifters
• 20:31
  down
• 20:31
  in
• 20:31
  Argentina,
• 20:32
  in
• 20:32
  Patagonia,
• 20:33
  now
• 20:33
  at
• 20:33
  Set
• 20:34
  Fly
• 20:34
  Fishing.
• 20:35
  And
• 20:36
  that
• 20:36
  was
• 20:37
  really
• 20:37
  the
• 20:37
  first
• 20:38
  go
• 20:38
  at
• 20:38
  it.
• 20:38
  And
• 20:40
  Joan
• 20:40
  and
• 20:40
  I
• 20:40
  were
• 20:41
  like,
• 20:41
  I
• 20:42
  don't
• 20:42
  know
• 20:42
  whether
• 20:42
  we
• 20:42
  really
• 20:42
  want
• 20:43
  to
• 20:43
  do
• 20:43
  this
• 20:43
  or
• 20:43
  not,
• 20:44
  but
• 20:45
  they
• 20:45
  had
• 20:45
  us
• 20:46
  come
• 20:46
  down.
• 20:47
  I
• 20:47
  felt
• 20:48
  instantly
• 20:48
  fell
• 20:49
  in
• 20:49
  love
• 20:49
  with
• 20:49
  Patagonia,
• 20:51
  and
• 20:51
  we're
• 20:52
  still
• 20:52
  running
• 20:53
  multiple
• 20:53
  trips
• 20:54
  with
• 20:54
  them
• 20:54
  every
• 20:55
  year.
• 20:57
  And
• 20:57
  then
• 20:58
  it
• 20:58
  kind
• 20:59
  of
• 20:59
  one
• 20:59
  thing
• 20:59
  led
• 21:00
  to
• 21:00
  another,
• 21:01
  and
• 21:04
  we're
• 21:04
  doing
• 21:05
  other
• 21:06
  trips
• 21:06
  as
• 21:06
  well.
• 21:07
  I
• 21:07
  hope
• 21:07
  to
• 21:07
  get
• 21:07
  back
• 21:08
  to
• 21:08
  that
• 21:08
  same
• 21:09
  place,
• 21:09
  Northern
• 21:10
  Rockies
• 21:11
  adventures.
• 21:11
  We're
• 21:11
  going
• 21:11
  to
• 21:12
  be
• 21:12
  doing
• 21:12
  that.
• 21:13
  The
• 21:13
  other
• 21:13
  thing
• 21:14
  that
• 21:14
  I
• 21:14
  always
• 21:14
  like
• 21:15
  to
• 21:15
  do
• 21:15
  is
• 21:15
  I
• 21:15
  enjoy
• 21:16
  cooking
• 21:16
  a
• 21:17
  lot.
• 21:17
  And
• 21:18
  so
• 21:18
  we've
• 21:19
  started
• 21:19
  hosting
• 21:20
  kind
• 21:20
  of
• 21:20
  our
• 21:20
  own
• 21:21
  trips
• 21:21
  out
• 21:21
  in
• 21:21
  central
• 21:22
  Pennsylvania.
• 21:24
  I
• 21:24
  don't
• 21:25
  know
• 21:25
  how
• 21:25
  many
• 21:25
  people
• 21:25
  are
• 21:25
  familiar
• 21:26
  with
• 21:26
  it,
• 21:26
  but
• 21:26
  it's
• 21:27
  a
• 21:28
  property.
• 21:28
  It's
• 21:28
  Wayne
• 21:28
  Harpster's
• 21:29
  property,
• 21:30
  and
• 21:30
  it's
• 21:30
  where
• 21:30
  Jimmy
• 21:31
  Carter
• 21:31
  and
• 21:32
  Rosalyn
• 21:33
  fished
• 21:33
  throughout
• 21:34
  his
• 21:34
  presidency.
• 21:34
  And
• 21:35
  afterwards,
• 21:35
  it's
• 21:35
  very,
• 21:36
  very
• 21:36
  famous
• 21:36
  water
• 21:36
  on
• 21:37
  Spruce.
• 21:37
  Spruce
• 21:38
  Creek.
• 21:38
  And
• 21:38
  so
• 21:39
  we're
• 21:39
  doing
• 21:39
  hosted
• 21:40
  travel
• 21:40
  out
• 21:41
  there
• 21:41
  where
• 21:41
  my
• 21:41
  son
• 21:42
  Drew
• 21:42
  and
• 21:42
  I,
• 21:43
  we
• 21:44
  can't
• 21:44
  really
• 21:44
  call
• 21:44
  it
• 21:44
  guiding.
• 21:45
  It's
• 21:45
  more
• 21:45
  just
• 21:46
  because
• 21:46
  the
• 21:46
  anglers
• 21:47
  are
• 21:48
  good
• 21:48
  and
• 21:49
  kind
• 21:49
  of
• 21:49
  on
• 21:49
  their
• 21:49
  own,
• 21:50
  but
• 21:50
  we'll
• 21:50
  facilitate
• 21:51
  with
• 21:51
  that.
• 21:51
  And.
• 21:52
  But
• 21:52
  we
• 21:52
  do
• 21:52
  all
• 21:53
  the
• 21:53
  cooking
• 21:54
  and,
• 21:55
  you
• 21:55
  know,
• 21:56
  all
• 21:56
  the
• 21:56
  meals
• 21:57
  for
• 21:57
  that.
• 21:57
  We
• 21:57
  do
• 21:57
  the
• 21:58
  same.
• 21:59
  We're
• 21:59
  just
• 21:59
  starting
• 22:00
  to
• 22:00
  do
• 22:00
  it
• 22:01
  up
• 22:02
  on
• 22:02
  Lake
• 22:02
  Erie,
• 22:03
  kind
• 22:03
  of
• 22:05
  right
• 22:05
  on
• 22:05
  the
• 22:05
  border
• 22:06
  between
• 22:06
  Pennsylvania
• 22:08
  and
• 22:09
  Ohio.
• 22:10
  And
• 22:11
  so
• 22:12
  guy
• 22:13
  we
• 22:13
  did
• 22:14
  a
• 22:14
  show
• 22:15
  with
• 22:15
  for
• 22:16
  the
• 22:16
  new
• 22:16
  fly
• 22:17
  fisher
• 22:18
  last
• 22:18
  year,
• 22:20
  Captain
• 22:20
  Kurt
• 22:21
  Charters
• 22:22
  up
• 22:22
  there,
• 22:22
  and
• 22:23
  he's
• 22:23
  got
• 22:23
  some
• 22:23
  cottages.
• 22:24
  And
• 22:24
  so
• 22:24
  we're
• 22:25
  hosting
• 22:25
  and
• 22:25
  cooking
• 22:25
  up
• 22:26
  there
• 22:26
  this
• 22:26
  year
• 22:27
  and,
• 22:28
  yeah,
• 22:28
  really
• 22:28
  looking
• 22:29
  forward
• 22:29
  to
• 22:29
  it.
• 22:30
  Yeah,
• 22:30
  it's
• 22:30
  neat.
• 22:30
  And
• 22:30
  you're.
• 22:31
  You're
• 22:31
  also
• 22:31
  out
• 22:31
  in
• 22:31
  Montana,
• 22:32
  right?
• 22:33
  Oh,
• 22:34
  of
• 22:34
  course.
• 22:36
  Can't
• 22:36
  forget
• 22:36
  Montana.
• 22:37
  We've
• 22:38
  been
• 22:38
  doing
• 22:38
  trips
• 22:39
  with
• 22:39
  the
• 22:39
  Linehans,
• 22:41
  Tim
• 22:41
  and
• 22:41
  Joanne
• 22:42
  Linehan,
• 22:43
  up
• 22:43
  on
• 22:43
  the
• 22:43
  Kootenay
• 22:44
  river
• 22:44
  up
• 22:44
  near
• 22:45
  Libby,
• 22:45
  Montana.
• 22:46
  And
• 22:46
  I.
• 22:46
  I
• 22:46
  think
• 22:47
  it's
• 22:47
  been
• 22:47
  about
• 22:47
  eight.
• 22:48
  Eight
• 22:48
  years
• 22:48
  maybe
• 22:49
  with
• 22:49
  them.
• 22:49
  And
• 22:51
  Tim's
• 22:51
  actually
• 22:52
  an
• 22:52
  old
• 22:52
  friend
• 22:53
  from
• 22:54
  my
• 22:54
  college
• 22:54
  days,
• 22:55
  totally
• 22:57
  having
• 22:58
  nothing
• 22:58
  to
• 22:58
  do
• 22:58
  with
• 22:58
  fly
• 22:59
  fishing.
• 23:00
  And
• 23:00
  I
• 23:01
  met
• 23:01
  Tim,
• 23:01
  I
• 23:01
  think,
• 23:01
  in
• 23:02
  1979.
• 23:04
  And
• 23:04
  so
• 23:05
  it's.
• 23:05
  It's
• 23:05
  kind
• 23:05
  of
• 23:05
  weird
• 23:06
  that
• 23:06
  we're.
• 23:06
  We're
• 23:07
  both
• 23:07
  in
• 23:07
  the
• 23:07
  industry
• 23:08
  now,
• 23:08
  and.
• 23:08
  And
• 23:09
  it's
• 23:10
  weird
• 23:10
  thinking
• 23:11
  back,
• 23:11
  you
• 23:11
  know,
• 23:11
  if
• 23:12
  you
• 23:12
  had
• 23:12
  some
• 23:13
  vision
• 23:13
  of
• 23:13
  the
• 23:14
  future
• 23:14
  when
• 23:14
  we're
• 23:15
  sitting
• 23:15
  up
• 23:15
  in
• 23:15
  a
• 23:16
  dorm
• 23:16
  at
• 23:16
  St.
• 23:16
  Lawrence
• 23:17
  and,
• 23:17
  you
• 23:18
  know,
• 23:18
  you
• 23:18
  could
• 23:18
  go,
• 23:19
  hey
• 23:19
  Tim,
• 23:19
  you
• 23:20
  know
• 23:20
  it
• 23:21
  30
• 23:22
  years
• 23:22
  from
• 23:22
  now
• 23:22
  we're
• 23:22
  going
• 23:23
  to
• 23:23
  be
• 23:23
  doing
• 23:23
  trips
• 23:24
  together
• 23:24
  in
• 23:24
  Montana.
• 23:25
  I
• 23:26
  think
• 23:26
  we
• 23:26
  would
• 23:26
  have
• 23:26
  both
• 23:26
  gone.
• 23:27
  Wow,
• 23:29
  that's
• 23:29
  incredible.
• 23:30
  So
• 23:31
  yeah,
• 23:32
  every
• 23:32
  year
• 23:32
  is
• 23:33
  great
• 23:33
  out
• 23:33
  there.
• 23:33
  It's
• 23:33
  a
• 23:34
  wonderful
• 23:34
  place.
• 23:35
  Yeah,
• 23:35
  that's
• 23:35
  pretty
• 23:35
  neat.
• 23:36
  And
• 23:36
  so,
• 23:36
  you
• 23:36
  know,
• 23:36
  one
• 23:36
  of
• 23:36
  the
• 23:36
  themes
• 23:37
  with
• 23:37
  all
• 23:37
  those
• 23:37
  trips
• 23:38
  is
• 23:38
  you're
• 23:38
  working
• 23:38
  directly
• 23:39
  with
• 23:39
  the
• 23:40
  outfitters
• 23:40
  as
• 23:40
  opposed
• 23:41
  to
• 23:41
  booking
• 23:41
  agents.
• 23:41
  And
• 23:42
  I
• 23:42
  was
• 23:42
  wondering
• 23:42
  if
• 23:42
  you
• 23:42
  could
• 23:43
  kind
• 23:43
  of
• 23:43
  share
• 23:44
  your
• 23:44
  thoughts
• 23:44
  on
• 23:44
  why
• 23:44
  you
• 23:45
  think
• 23:45
  that's
• 23:45
  a
• 23:45
  better
• 23:46
  approach
• 23:46
  or
• 23:46
  a
• 23:46
  better
• 23:46
  approach
• 23:47
  for
• 23:47
  you
• 23:47
  maybe.
• 23:49
  Yeah,
• 23:49
  it's,
• 23:50
  it's
• 23:52
  economics
• 23:53
  a
• 23:53
  little
• 23:53
  better.
• 23:54
  It's
• 23:54
  kind
• 23:55
  of
• 23:55
  cuts
• 23:55
  out
• 23:55
  a
• 23:55
  person.
• 23:57
  And
• 23:58
  I
• 23:58
  also,
• 23:59
  I
• 23:59
  like
• 24:00
  working,
• 24:00
  you
• 24:00
  know,
• 24:01
  directly
• 24:02
  with
• 24:02
  the
• 24:02
  outfitter
• 24:03
  just
• 24:03
  as
• 24:03
  more
• 24:04
  personal.
• 24:06
  You
• 24:06
  know,
• 24:07
  you
• 24:07
  can
• 24:08
  help
• 24:08
  tailor
• 24:10
  a
• 24:11
  trip
• 24:12
  to
• 24:13
  the
• 24:13
  anglers
• 24:14
  that
• 24:14
  you
• 24:14
  have.
• 24:15
  You
• 24:15
  know,
• 24:15
  it's
• 24:16
  never,
• 24:17
  it's
• 24:17
  never
• 24:17
  the
• 24:17
  same
• 24:18
  group
• 24:18
  twice
• 24:19
  really.
• 24:19
  And
• 24:20
  ability
• 24:20
  wise
• 24:21
  or
• 24:21
  you
• 24:21
  know,
• 24:21
  what
• 24:22
  they
• 24:22
  need,
• 24:22
  even
• 24:23
  dietary
• 24:23
  needs.
• 24:24
  And
• 24:24
  so
• 24:26
  there's
• 24:27
  a
• 24:27
  lot
• 24:27
  of
• 24:27
  work
• 24:27
  that
• 24:27
  goes
• 24:28
  into
• 24:28
  it
• 24:29
  for
• 24:30
  us
• 24:30
  anyway,
• 24:30
  working
• 24:31
  directly
• 24:31
  with
• 24:32
  the
• 24:32
  outfitter
• 24:33
  and
• 24:33
  trying
• 24:33
  to
• 24:34
  have
• 24:35
  them
• 24:35
  be
• 24:35
  ready
• 24:36
  and
• 24:37
  you
• 24:37
  know,
• 24:37
  the
• 24:37
  program
• 24:38
  going
• 24:38
  for
• 24:39
  a
• 24:39
  specific
• 24:39
  group
• 24:40
  of
• 24:40
  people
• 24:40
  with
• 24:40
  specific
• 24:41
  needs.
• 24:42
  Yeah.
• 24:42
  You
• 24:43
  know,
• 24:43
  and
• 24:43
  so,
• 24:43
  you
• 24:43
  know,
• 24:43
  you
• 24:43
  take,
• 24:44
  let's
• 24:44
  just
• 24:44
  say
• 24:44
  it's
• 24:45
  Joe
• 24:45
  Angler
• 24:45
  and
• 24:45
  he's
• 24:45
  decided
• 24:46
  he
• 24:46
  wants
• 24:46
  to
• 24:46
  take
• 24:46
  a
• 24:47
  trip
• 24:47
  in
• 24:47
  2025.
• 24:48
  You
• 24:49
  know,
• 24:49
  what
• 24:50
  should
• 24:50
  someone
• 24:51
  who's
• 24:51
  considering,
• 24:52
  you
• 24:52
  know,
• 24:52
  going
• 24:53
  on
• 24:53
  a
• 24:53
  hosted
• 24:53
  trip
• 24:54
  think
• 24:54
  about
• 24:54
  as
• 24:54
  they're
• 24:54
  trying
• 24:55
  to
• 24:55
  pick
• 24:55
  the
• 24:55
  right
• 24:55
  trip
• 24:56
  and
• 24:56
  all
• 24:56
  that
• 24:56
  kind
• 24:56
  of
• 24:56
  stuff.
• 24:58
  Yeah,
• 24:59
  it's
• 24:59
  a
• 24:59
  really
• 25:00
  great
• 25:00
  question,
• 25:00
  Marvin.
• 25:02
  And
• 25:02
  a
• 25:03
  number
• 25:03
  one,
• 25:04
  and
• 25:04
  I
• 25:04
  hate
• 25:04
  to
• 25:04
  say
• 25:05
  this
• 25:05
  is
• 25:07
  physical
• 25:07
  ability
• 25:08
  is
• 25:09
  really
• 25:09
  a
• 25:09
  big
• 25:09
  thing
• 25:10
  and
• 25:10
  there's
• 25:10
  some
• 25:11
  trips
• 25:11
  that
• 25:12
  don't
• 25:12
  require
• 25:13
  much
• 25:14
  physical
• 25:15
  ability
• 25:15
  at
• 25:16
  all,
• 25:16
  which
• 25:16
  is
• 25:17
  wonderful.
• 25:18
  You
• 25:18
  know,
• 25:18
  a
• 25:18
  lot
• 25:19
  of
• 25:19
  anglers
• 25:19
  are
• 25:20
  getting
• 25:20
  older
• 25:20
  and
• 25:22
  wading
• 25:23
  in
• 25:23
  a
• 25:24
  fast
• 25:24
  moving
• 25:24
  stream
• 25:25
  with
• 25:25
  slippery
• 25:25
  rocks
• 25:26
  is
• 25:27
  difficult.
• 25:28
  You
• 25:28
  know,
• 25:28
  it's
• 25:28
  even
• 25:29
  getting,
• 25:29
  I'm
• 25:29
  63
• 25:30
  years
• 25:30
  old,
• 25:31
  it's
• 25:31
  starting
• 25:31
  to
• 25:31
  get
• 25:31
  difficult
• 25:32
  for
• 25:32
  me
• 25:33
  in
• 25:33
  places
• 25:34
  that
• 25:34
  used
• 25:34
  to
• 25:34
  be
• 25:35
  no
• 25:35
  problem
• 25:35
  at
• 25:35
  all.
• 25:36
  And
• 25:36
  so,
• 25:36
  but
• 25:37
  we
• 25:37
  have
• 25:37
  people
• 25:38
  that
• 25:38
  still
• 25:38
  really
• 25:39
  want
• 25:39
  to
• 25:39
  fish
• 25:40
  and
• 25:41
  you
• 25:42
  know,
• 25:43
  mind
• 25:43
  there
• 25:44
  everything
• 25:45
  but
• 25:45
  you
• 25:46
  know,
• 25:46
  body's
• 25:46
  lagging
• 25:47
  behind
• 25:47
  a
• 25:47
  little
• 25:47
  bit.
• 25:48
  And
• 25:48
  so
• 25:49
  we,
• 25:50
  we
• 25:50
  need
• 25:50
  to
• 25:50
  know
• 25:50
  that
• 25:51
  before
• 25:52
  you
• 25:52
  know,
• 25:52
  booking
• 25:53
  trip.
• 25:53
  And
• 25:54
  there
• 25:54
  are
• 25:54
  things
• 25:54
  that
• 25:54
  we
• 25:54
  can
• 25:55
  do,
• 25:55
  there
• 25:55
  are
• 25:55
  trips
• 25:55
  that
• 25:56
  will
• 25:56
  work
• 25:56
  out
• 25:56
  well
• 25:57
  for
• 25:57
  folks
• 25:57
  like
• 25:57
  that
• 25:58
  and
• 25:59
  we
• 25:59
  can
• 25:59
  steer
• 25:59
  them
• 26:00
  in
• 26:00
  that
• 26:00
  direction.
• 26:01
  And
• 26:02
  so
• 26:03
  yeah,
• 26:04
  getting
• 26:04
  to
• 26:04
  know
• 26:04
  the
• 26:05
  people
• 26:05
  beforehand
• 26:05
  and
• 26:06
  obviously
• 26:06
  ability
• 26:07
  as
• 26:08
  well.
• 26:08
  You
• 26:08
  know,
• 26:08
  I
• 26:09
  not
• 26:09
  going
• 26:09
  to
• 26:10
  have
• 26:10
  somebody
• 26:10
  who's
• 26:11
  you
• 26:11
  know,
• 26:12
  seen
• 26:12
  advanced
• 26:13
  novice
• 26:14
  fly
• 26:14
  fisher
• 26:15
  go
• 26:16
  down
• 26:16
  to
• 26:16
  Argentina
• 26:17
  with
• 26:17
  me
• 26:18
  and
• 26:18
  you
• 26:18
  know,
• 26:18
  do
• 26:19
  a,
• 26:19
  a
• 26:19
  six
• 26:20
  day
• 26:20
  float
• 26:20
  on
• 26:20
  the
• 26:20
  Limai
• 26:21
  where
• 26:21
  you're
• 26:22
  casting
• 26:22
  eight
• 26:23
  weight
• 26:23
  rods
• 26:24
  with
• 26:24
  sinking
• 26:24
  lines
• 26:25
  for
• 26:25
  10
• 26:25
  hours
• 26:26
  a
• 26:26
  day
• 26:26
  with
• 26:27
  big
• 26:27
  streamers.
• 26:27
  You
• 26:28
  know,
• 26:28
  it's
• 26:28
  just
• 26:29
  not,
• 26:29
  it
• 26:30
  won't
• 26:30
  be
• 26:30
  enjoyable
• 26:31
  for
• 26:31
  them.
• 26:32
  And
• 26:32
  so,
• 26:33
  you
• 26:34
  know,
• 26:34
  lead
• 26:35
  them
• 26:35
  into
• 26:35
  another
• 26:36
  trip,
• 26:36
  say
• 26:36
  one
• 26:37
  out
• 26:37
  at
• 26:37
  Linehan's
• 26:38
  where
• 26:40
  you
• 26:40
  can
• 26:40
  be
• 26:40
  in
• 26:41
  a
• 26:41
  drift
• 26:41
  boat.
• 26:42
  There's
• 26:43
  very
• 26:43
  little
• 26:43
  to
• 26:44
  no
• 26:44
  waiting
• 26:44
  and
• 26:45
  you're
• 26:46
  having
• 26:46
  a
• 26:46
  wonderful
• 26:47
  time
• 26:47
  catching
• 26:48
  a
• 26:48
  whole
• 26:48
  bunch
• 26:48
  of
• 26:48
  west
• 26:49
  slope
• 26:49
  cuddies
• 26:50
  in
• 26:50
  red
• 26:50
  band
• 26:50
  rainbows.
• 26:51
  And
• 26:51
  you're
• 26:51
  using
• 26:52
  just
• 26:52
  a
• 26:52
  five
• 26:52
  weight
• 26:52
  with
• 26:53
  a
• 26:53
  floating
• 26:53
  line
• 26:53
  and
• 26:53
  dry
• 26:54
  flies.
• 26:55
  Yeah.
• 26:56
  And
• 26:56
  so
• 26:56
  obviously,
• 26:57
  and
• 26:57
  it's
• 26:57
  funny,
• 26:58
  I
• 26:58
  won't
• 26:58
  make
• 26:58
  you
• 26:59
  tell
• 26:59
  me
• 26:59
  how
• 27:00
  you
• 27:00
  know,
• 27:00
  how
• 27:01
  people
• 27:01
  are
• 27:01
  really
• 27:02
  fishing.
• 27:02
  Like
• 27:02
  they
• 27:03
  tell
• 27:03
  you
• 27:03
  they're
• 27:03
  awesome
• 27:03
  and
• 27:03
  then
• 27:03
  you
• 27:04
  have
• 27:04
  to
• 27:04
  adjust
• 27:04
  it
• 27:04
  right,
• 27:04
  or
• 27:05
  anything
• 27:05
  like
• 27:05
  that.
• 27:05
  But.
• 27:09
  You
• 27:09
  guide
• 27:09
  so
• 27:10
  you
• 27:10
  kind
• 27:10
  of
• 27:10
  know
• 27:10
  it
• 27:10
  right.
• 27:10
  You
• 27:11
  kind
• 27:11
  of
• 27:11
  size
• 27:11
  people
• 27:11
  up.
• 27:12
  But
• 27:12
  you
• 27:12
  know,
• 27:12
  what
• 27:12
  are
• 27:13
  some
• 27:13
  other
• 27:13
  kind
• 27:13
  of
• 27:13
  common
• 27:14
  mistakes
• 27:14
  that,
• 27:15
  you
• 27:15
  know,
• 27:15
  potential
• 27:15
  travelers
• 27:16
  make
• 27:16
  or
• 27:16
  things
• 27:17
  that
• 27:17
  they
• 27:17
  don't
• 27:17
  consider
• 27:17
  And
• 27:18
  I
• 27:18
  would
• 27:18
  imagine,
• 27:18
  you
• 27:18
  know,
• 27:19
  physical
• 27:19
  ability
• 27:19
  is
• 27:19
  definitely
• 27:20
  one
• 27:20
  of
• 27:20
  them
• 27:21
  because
• 27:21
  I've
• 27:21
  heard
• 27:22
  horror
• 27:22
  stories
• 27:22
  of
• 27:22
  people
• 27:23
  that
• 27:23
  weren't
• 27:23
  up
• 27:23
  to
• 27:23
  it
• 27:23
  going
• 27:24
  into
• 27:24
  the
• 27:24
  jungles
• 27:24
  of
• 27:24
  Bolivia
• 27:25
  to
• 27:25
  Chase
• 27:25
  Dorado
• 27:26
  and
• 27:26
  it
• 27:26
  didn't
• 27:26
  turn
• 27:26
  out
• 27:26
  very
• 27:27
  well.
• 27:28
  Yeah,
• 27:28
  yeah,
• 27:29
  it
• 27:29
  can
• 27:29
  be
• 27:30
  brutal
• 27:31
  and
• 27:32
  it's,
• 27:33
  it's
• 27:34
  just
• 27:34
  to
• 27:35
  probably,
• 27:36
  probably
• 27:36
  second
• 27:36
  to
• 27:36
  the
• 27:37
  physical
• 27:37
  ability
• 27:38
  is
• 27:38
  just
• 27:39
  to
• 27:39
  try
• 27:39
  to
• 27:39
  keep
• 27:40
  an
• 27:40
  open
• 27:40
  mind.
• 27:40
  When
• 27:41
  you
• 27:41
  travel
• 27:42
  and
• 27:42
  you
• 27:42
  know,
• 27:44
  particularly
• 27:44
  when
• 27:44
  you're
• 27:44
  traveling
• 27:45
  to
• 27:45
  foreign
• 27:45
  countries,
• 27:46
  the
• 27:47
  culture
• 27:47
  is
• 27:47
  different.
• 27:48
  And
• 27:49
  I
• 27:50
  think
• 27:50
  that
• 27:50
  people
• 27:51
  who
• 27:51
  embrace
• 27:52
  those
• 27:52
  cultures
• 27:54
  have
• 27:54
  a
• 27:54
  much
• 27:54
  better
• 27:55
  time
• 27:56
  than
• 27:57
  somebody
• 27:57
  that
• 27:57
  say
• 27:59
  is
• 27:59
  more
• 27:59
  resistant
• 28:00
  to,
• 28:00
  that
• 28:00
  may
• 28:00
  want
• 28:01
  to
• 28:03
  not
• 28:03
  impose
• 28:04
  but,
• 28:04
  but
• 28:05
  you
• 28:05
  know,
• 28:07
  go,
• 28:07
  go
• 28:08
  with
• 28:08
  their
• 28:08
  culture,
• 28:08
  their
• 28:09
  method
• 28:09
  of
• 28:09
  doing
• 28:10
  things
• 28:11
  as
• 28:11
  opposed
• 28:11
  to
• 28:12
  kind
• 28:12
  of,
• 28:12
  kind
• 28:12
  of
• 28:12
  joining
• 28:13
  in
• 28:14
  with
• 28:14
  the
• 28:14
  culture
• 28:15
  of
• 28:15
  that
• 28:15
  country
• 28:16
  or
• 28:16
  that
• 28:16
  area
• 28:17
  even.
• 28:17
  I
• 28:17
  mean
• 28:17
  it
• 28:18
  really
• 28:18
  happens
• 28:18
  in
• 28:18
  the
• 28:18
  United
• 28:19
  States
• 28:19
  here
• 28:19
  as
• 28:19
  well.
• 28:21
  And
• 28:21
  you
• 28:21
  know,
• 28:22
  if
• 28:22
  you're,
• 28:23
  let's
• 28:24
  just
• 28:24
  say
• 28:24
  you're,
• 28:24
  you're
• 28:25
  from
• 28:25
  New
• 28:25
  York
• 28:25
  City
• 28:26
  maybe
• 28:26
  and
• 28:26
  you're,
• 28:27
  you're
• 28:27
  out
• 28:27
  west
• 28:28
  on,
• 28:28
  on
• 28:28
  a
• 28:28
  ranch
• 28:29
  or
• 28:29
  whatever,
• 28:30
  the
• 28:30
  culture
• 28:30
  is
• 28:31
  different
• 28:31
  out
• 28:31
  there
• 28:31
  and
• 28:32
  the
• 28:32
  more
• 28:33
  you
• 28:33
  can
• 28:33
  kind
• 28:34
  of
• 28:34
  join
• 28:34
  in
• 28:34
  and
• 28:34
  go
• 28:35
  with
• 28:35
  the
• 28:35
  flow,
• 28:35
  I
• 28:36
  think
• 28:36
  time
• 28:36
  you're
• 28:37
  going
• 28:37
  to
• 28:37
  have.
• 28:38
  So,
• 28:40
  so,
• 28:40
  so
• 28:40
  that's
• 28:41
  a
• 28:41
  big
• 28:41
  one.
• 28:43
  Yeah,
• 28:44
  that,
• 28:44
  that's
• 28:44
  a
• 28:44
  real
• 28:45
  big
• 28:45
  one.
• 28:45
  Yeah,
• 28:45
  it's
• 28:46
  a
• 28:46
  huge
• 28:46
  one.
• 28:46
  It's
• 28:46
  kind
• 28:46
  of
• 28:46
  funny
• 28:47
  because
• 28:47
  people,
• 28:47
  I've
• 28:48
  been
• 28:48
  on
• 28:48
  trips
• 28:48
  like
• 28:48
  that
• 28:48
  and
• 28:48
  people
• 28:49
  will
• 28:49
  complain.
• 28:49
  I
• 28:49
  was
• 28:49
  like,
• 28:49
  well,
• 28:50
  if
• 28:50
  you
• 28:50
  wanted
• 28:50
  it
• 28:50
  to
• 28:50
  be
• 28:50
  just
• 28:51
  like
• 28:51
  home,
• 28:51
  why
• 28:51
  did
• 28:51
  you
• 28:51
  go
• 28:52
  why
• 28:52
  did
• 28:52
  you
• 28:52
  leave?
• 28:53
  Right.
• 28:54
  Yeah,
• 28:54
  yeah.
• 28:55
  Why.
• 28:56
  Why
• 28:56
  are
• 28:56
  you
• 28:56
  spending
• 28:57
  all
• 28:57
  the
• 28:57
  money
• 28:57
  and,
• 28:59
  and
• 28:59
  all
• 28:59
  the
• 29:00
  travel
• 29:00
  and
• 29:00
  hassle
• 29:00
  that
• 29:01
  goes
• 29:01
  along
• 29:01
  with
• 29:01
  the
• 29:01
  travel
• 29:02
  and
• 29:03
  when
• 29:03
  you
• 29:03
  could
• 29:04
  do
• 29:04
  your
• 29:04
  own
• 29:04
  thing
• 29:04
  right
• 29:04
  on
• 29:05
  your
• 29:05
  home
• 29:05
  water?
• 29:05
  But,
• 29:06
  but
• 29:06
  yeah,
• 29:06
  that,
• 29:06
  that
• 29:07
  is
• 29:07
  a
• 29:07
  big
• 29:07
  thing
• 29:07
  and
• 29:08
  I'm,
• 29:08
  I'm
• 29:09
  kind
• 29:09
  of
• 29:09
  the
• 29:09
  exact
• 29:10
  opposite.
• 29:10
  If
• 29:11
  I
• 29:11
  get
• 29:11
  into
• 29:12
  a
• 29:12
  different
• 29:12
  country,
• 29:13
  I
• 29:13
  immediately.
• 29:14
  I'm
• 29:14
  one
• 29:14
  of
• 29:14
  those
• 29:14
  guys
• 29:15
  that
• 29:17
  it's
• 29:18
  not
• 29:18
  so
• 29:18
  bad
• 29:18
  that,
• 29:19
  you
• 29:19
  know,
• 29:19
  every
• 29:19
  time
• 29:19
  I
• 29:19
  go
• 29:19
  to
• 29:20
  Montana
• 29:21
  I
• 29:21
  strap
• 29:21
  on
• 29:21
  a
• 29:21
  pair
• 29:22
  of
• 29:22
  cowboy
• 29:22
  boots
• 29:22
  and
• 29:23
  a
• 29:23
  cowboy
• 29:23
  hat.
• 29:23
  I'm
• 29:23
  not
• 29:24
  quite
• 29:24
  that
• 29:24
  bad.
• 29:25
  But
• 29:25
  you
• 29:25
  know,
• 29:26
  traveling
• 29:26
  to
• 29:27
  Argentina,
• 29:27
  I've.
• 29:29
  Over
• 29:29
  the
• 29:29
  years
• 29:30
  I've
• 29:30
  started
• 29:30
  drinking
• 29:30
  their,
• 29:31
  their
• 29:31
  local
• 29:31
  drink
• 29:32
  down
• 29:32
  there
• 29:32
  mate
• 29:34
  and
• 29:35
  trying
• 29:35
  to
• 29:36
  barbecue
• 29:36
  the
• 29:36
  way
• 29:36
  they
• 29:37
  do.
• 29:37
  All
• 29:37
  that
• 29:38
  helpless
• 29:38
  effort
• 29:39
  there.
• 29:40
  Yeah.
• 29:41
  Just,
• 29:41
  just
• 29:42
  kind
• 29:42
  of
• 29:42
  adopting
• 29:43
  some
• 29:43
  of
• 29:44
  the
• 29:44
  culture
• 29:45
  I
• 29:45
  think
• 29:45
  is,
• 29:46
  is
• 29:47
  important
• 29:47
  and
• 29:47
  it's,
• 29:48
  it's
• 29:48
  fun
• 29:48
  for
• 29:48
  me
• 29:48
  to
• 29:49
  do
• 29:49
  anyway.
• 29:50
  Yeah.
• 29:50
  It's
• 29:50
  funny
• 29:50
  you
• 29:51
  say
• 29:51
  that.
• 29:51
  I've
• 29:51
  got
• 29:51
  my
• 29:51
  mate
• 29:52
  hoof
• 29:53
  my
• 29:53
  ox
• 29:53
  hoof
• 29:53
  on
• 29:54
  my
• 29:54
  desk
• 29:54
  here.
• 29:55
  Yeah,
• 29:56
  yeah,
• 29:57
  I'm,
• 29:57
  I'm.
• 29:58
  It's,
• 29:58
  it's
• 29:59
  almost
• 29:59
  one
• 29:59
  of
• 29:59
  those
• 29:59
  things
• 30:00
  that
• 30:00
  I
• 30:00
  didn't
• 30:01
  happen
• 30:01
  because
• 30:02
  I,
• 30:02
  I
• 30:02
  get
• 30:02
  cranky
• 30:03
  if
• 30:03
  I
• 30:03
  don't
• 30:03
  have
• 30:03
  my
• 30:03
  afternoon
• 30:04
  mate.
• 30:05
  Yeah.
• 30:05
  I
• 30:05
  would
• 30:05
  say
• 30:05
  I'll
• 30:06
  confess
• 30:06
  I
• 30:06
  just
• 30:07
  use
• 30:07
  mine
• 30:07
  to
• 30:07
  hold
• 30:07
  pens
• 30:07
  and
• 30:08
  pencils.
• 30:08
  But
• 30:08
  that's
• 30:08
  okay.
• 30:09
  Oh
• 30:10
  yeah,
• 30:10
  it's,
• 30:11
  it's
• 30:11
  not
• 30:11
  for
• 30:11
  everybody.
• 30:12
  It's
• 30:12
  definitely
• 30:13
  an
• 30:13
  acquired
• 30:13
  taste.
• 30:15
  But
• 30:15
  yeah,
• 30:15
  I
• 30:16
  love
• 30:16
  this
• 30:16
  stuff.
• 30:17
  Can't
• 30:17
  get
• 30:17
  away
• 30:17
  from
• 30:17
  it.
• 30:18
  Yeah.
• 30:18
  And
• 30:18
  you
• 30:19
  know,
• 30:19
  we
• 30:19
  talked
• 30:19
  about
• 30:19
  this
• 30:19
  when
• 30:20
  we
• 30:20
  were
• 30:20
  doing
• 30:20
  our
• 30:20
  pre
• 30:20
  interview
• 30:21
  call
• 30:21
  that,
• 30:21
  you
• 30:21
  know,
• 30:22
  one
• 30:22
  of
• 30:22
  the
• 30:22
  big
• 30:22
  things
• 30:23
  when
• 30:23
  you
• 30:23
  do
• 30:23
  host
• 30:23
  to
• 30:24
  travel
• 30:24
  is
• 30:25
  trip
• 30:25
  fit
• 30:26
  and
• 30:26
  group
• 30:26
  fit.
• 30:26
  And
• 30:26
  I
• 30:27
  know
• 30:27
  that's
• 30:27
  really
• 30:27
  important
• 30:28
  to
• 30:28
  you
• 30:28
  and
• 30:28
  I
• 30:28
  was
• 30:28
  kind
• 30:28
  of
• 30:28
  curious,
• 30:29
  you
• 30:29
  know,
• 30:30
  what
• 30:30
  do
• 30:30
  you
• 30:30
  do
• 30:31
  to
• 30:31
  maximize
• 30:31
  the
• 30:32
  chances
• 30:32
  that
• 30:32
  someone
• 30:32
  who
• 30:33
  travels
• 30:33
  with
• 30:33
  you
• 30:33
  gets
• 30:34
  on
• 30:34
  the
• 30:34
  right
• 30:34
  trip
• 30:34
  with
• 30:35
  the
• 30:35
  right
• 30:35
  people?
• 30:37
  Yeah,
• 30:37
  that,
• 30:37
  that's
• 30:38
  a
• 30:38
  tough
• 30:38
  one.
• 30:39
  And
• 30:39
  a
• 30:39
  lot
• 30:39
  of
• 30:40
  this
• 30:40
  comes
• 30:40
  down
• 30:41
  to,
• 30:41
  you
• 30:42
  know,
• 30:42
  it's,
• 30:42
  it
• 30:42
  can
• 30:43
  be.
• 30:43
  Depending
• 30:44
  on
• 30:44
  the
• 30:44
  year,
• 30:44
  depending
• 30:44
  on
• 30:44
  the
• 30:45
  trip,
• 30:45
  it
• 30:45
  can
• 30:45
  be
• 30:45
  difficult.
• 30:46
  Even
• 30:47
  though
• 30:47
  we
• 30:47
  promote
• 30:48
  real
• 30:48
  heavily,
• 30:49
  it
• 30:49
  can
• 30:49
  be
• 30:49
  difficult
• 30:50
  to
• 30:50
  fill
• 30:50
  a
• 30:50
  trip
• 30:50
  at
• 30:51
  times.
• 30:51
  And
• 30:52
  so
• 30:52
  you
• 30:53
  know,
• 30:53
  you're,
• 30:53
  you
• 30:53
  don't
• 30:53
  always
• 30:54
  have
• 30:54
  the
• 30:54
  luxury
• 30:54
  of
• 30:55
  putting
• 30:55
  the
• 30:55
  right
• 30:55
  people
• 30:56
  together
• 30:57
  on,
• 30:57
  on
• 30:57
  the
• 30:58
  right
• 30:58
  trip
• 30:59
  and
• 30:59
  their
• 31:00
  timing
• 31:00
  may
• 31:00
  not
• 31:01
  work
• 31:01
  out
• 31:01
  well.
• 31:01
  But,
• 31:02
  but
• 31:03
  you
• 31:03
  know,
• 31:04
  there,
• 31:04
  there
• 31:04
  are
• 31:04
  a
• 31:04
  couple
• 31:05
  things
• 31:05
  when,
• 31:06
  when
• 31:06
  you
• 31:06
  have
• 31:06
  people
• 31:07
  together
• 31:08
  on
• 31:08
  a
• 31:08
  trip
• 31:09
  that
• 31:09
  may
• 31:10
  not
• 31:10
  be
• 31:12
  exactly
• 31:13
  compatible.
• 31:15
  You
• 31:15
  know,
• 31:15
  there
• 31:15
  are
• 31:15
  obviously
• 31:16
  some
• 31:16
  things
• 31:16
  that
• 31:16
  we're
• 31:16
  going
• 31:16
  to
• 31:17
  stay
• 31:17
  away
• 31:17
  from
• 31:18
  topically.
• 31:19
  Politics,
• 31:20
  religion,
• 31:20
  stuff
• 31:20
  like
• 31:21
  that.
• 31:21
  And
• 31:21
  if
• 31:21
  I,
• 31:22
  you
• 31:22
  know,
• 31:22
  as
• 31:23
  the
• 31:23
  host,
• 31:23
  I
• 31:23
  can
• 31:23
  ste
• 31:24
  conversations
• 31:25
  like
• 31:25
  that.
• 31:26
  That's
• 31:27
  just
• 31:27
  makes
• 31:27
  the
• 31:27
  trip
• 31:28
  more
• 31:28
  pleasant
• 31:28
  for
• 31:28
  everybody
• 31:29
  else.
• 31:30
  And
• 31:30
  so
• 31:31
  we
• 31:31
  really
• 31:32
  haven't
• 31:32
  had
• 31:32
  too
• 31:32
  many
• 31:33
  problems
• 31:33
  with
• 31:33
  that.
• 31:34
  I've
• 31:34
  been
• 31:35
  worried
• 31:35
  at
• 31:35
  the
• 31:36
  onset
• 31:36
  of
• 31:36
  a
• 31:36
  trip
• 31:37
  and
• 31:37
  go,
• 31:37
  oh
• 31:37
  my
• 31:37
  gosh,
• 31:38
  you
• 31:38
  know,
• 31:38
  I
• 31:38
  guided
• 31:39
  this
• 31:39
  guy
• 31:39
  and
• 31:39
  I
• 31:39
  guided
• 31:40
  this
• 31:40
  guy.
• 31:41
  I
• 31:41
  don't
• 31:41
  know
• 31:41
  how
• 31:41
  they're
• 31:42
  going
• 31:42
  to
• 31:42
  get
• 31:42
  along
• 31:42
  together.
• 31:43
  And
• 31:44
  you
• 31:45
  know,
• 31:45
  it
• 31:45
  always
• 31:45
  shocks
• 31:46
  me
• 31:46
  two
• 31:47
  days
• 31:47
  in
• 31:47
  their
• 31:47
  fast
• 31:48
  friends
• 31:48
  and
• 31:48
  you
• 31:49
  know,
• 31:49
  want
• 31:49
  to
• 31:49
  fish
• 31:49
  together
• 31:50
  every
• 31:50
  day.
• 31:50
  So
• 31:52
  yeah,
• 31:56
  kind
• 31:56
  of
• 31:56
  a
• 31:56
  free
• 31:57
  for
• 31:57
  all.
• 31:57
  Yeah,
• 31:58
  it's
• 31:58
  kind
• 31:58
  of
• 31:58
  interesting.
• 31:58
  I
• 31:58
  mean,
• 31:59
  I
• 31:59
  guess
• 31:59
  the
• 31:59
  only
• 31:59
  thing
• 31:59
  I
• 31:59
  can
• 32:00
  say,
• 32:00
  and
• 32:00
  it's
• 32:00
  kind
• 32:00
  of
• 32:00
  the
• 32:00
  advice
• 32:01
  I
• 32:01
  would
• 32:01
  give
• 32:01
  when
• 32:01
  I
• 32:01
  would
• 32:02
  like
• 32:02
  work
• 32:02
  with
• 32:03
  project
• 32:03
  Healing
• 32:03
  Water
• 32:03
  guys
• 32:04
  and
• 32:04
  say,
• 32:04
  look,
• 32:04
  it's
• 32:04
  your
• 32:05
  day.
• 32:05
  You
• 32:05
  have
• 32:05
  to
• 32:05
  be
• 32:05
  honest
• 32:06
  about
• 32:06
  what
• 32:06
  you
• 32:06
  want
• 32:06
  out
• 32:06
  of
• 32:07
  it.
• 32:07
  Right.
• 32:09
  And
• 32:09
  I
• 32:09
  think
• 32:10
  a
• 32:10
  lot
• 32:10
  of
• 32:10
  people
• 32:11
  go
• 32:11
  on
• 32:11
  an
• 32:11
  entire
• 32:12
  trip
• 32:12
  and
• 32:12
  at
• 32:12
  the
• 32:12
  end
• 32:12
  they're
• 32:12
  like,
• 32:13
  I
• 32:13
  wish
• 32:13
  we
• 32:13
  had
• 32:13
  done
• 32:13
  this.
• 32:13
  And
• 32:14
  it's
• 32:14
  like,
• 32:14
  well,
• 32:14
  if
• 32:14
  you
• 32:14
  told
• 32:14
  them
• 32:15
  at
• 32:15
  the
• 32:15
  beginning,
• 32:15
  they
• 32:16
  probably
• 32:16
  would
• 32:16
  have
• 32:16
  moved
• 32:16
  heaven
• 32:17
  and
• 32:17
  earth
• 32:17
  to
• 32:17
  have
• 32:17
  that
• 32:18
  happen
• 32:18
  for
• 32:18
  you.
• 32:19
  Yeah,
• 32:20
  yeah,
• 32:21
  we
• 32:21
  do.
• 32:21
  You
• 32:21
  know,
• 32:22
  at
• 32:22
  the
• 32:22
  beginning
• 32:22
  of
• 32:22
  a
• 32:22
  trip
• 32:23
  and
• 32:23
  during
• 32:23
  a
• 32:23
  trip
• 32:24
  we're
• 32:25
  constantly,
• 32:25
  you
• 32:25
  know,
• 32:25
  what
• 32:26
  else
• 32:26
  can
• 32:26
  we
• 32:26
  do?
• 32:28
  Or
• 32:28
  what
• 32:29
  do
• 32:29
  you
• 32:29
  need?
• 32:29
  You
• 32:29
  know,
• 32:31
  if
• 32:31
  you're
• 32:31
  not
• 32:32
  feeling
• 32:32
  up
• 32:32
  to
• 32:32
  a,
• 32:33
  you
• 32:33
  know,
• 32:34
  a
• 32:34
  full
• 32:34
  day
• 32:34
  of
• 32:34
  fishing,
• 32:35
  you
• 32:35
  know,
• 32:35
  maybe
• 32:35
  we
• 32:36
  can
• 32:36
  get
• 32:36
  you
• 32:36
  a
• 32:36
  half
• 32:37
  day
• 32:37
  and
• 32:37
  go
• 32:38
  do
• 32:38
  something
• 32:38
  else
• 32:38
  for
• 32:39
  the
• 32:39
  afternoon.
• 32:39
  And
• 32:41
  yeah,
• 32:41
  yeah,
• 32:42
  it's
• 32:43
  imperative
• 32:43
  that
• 32:44
  they
• 32:44
  enjoy
• 32:45
  the
• 32:45
  trip
• 32:45
  and
• 32:46
  they,
• 32:47
  they,
• 32:47
  you
• 32:48
  need
• 32:48
  to
• 32:48
  know
• 32:49
  what
• 32:49
  they
• 32:50
  need
• 32:50
  to
• 32:50
  enjoy
• 32:51
  the
• 32:51
  trip.
• 32:51
  So.
• 32:52
  Yeah,
• 32:52
  and
• 32:53
  the
• 32:53
  great
• 32:53
  thing
• 32:54
  is
• 32:54
  you
• 32:54
  and
• 32:54
  Joan
• 32:54
  also
• 32:55
  have
• 32:55
  options
• 32:55
  for
• 32:55
  non
• 32:56
  anglers,
• 32:56
  which
• 32:56
  makes
• 32:56
  it
• 32:57
  easier
• 32:57
  sometimes
• 32:57
  for
• 32:58
  anglers
• 32:58
  to
• 32:58
  get
• 32:58
  out
• 32:58
  of
• 32:58
  the
• 32:59
  country
• 32:59
  and
• 32:59
  travel.
• 32:59
  Right?
• 33:01
  Yeah,
• 33:01
  that,
• 33:01
  that,
• 33:02
  that
• 33:02
  has
• 33:02
  been
• 33:02
  a
• 33:03
  huge
• 33:03
  thing
• 33:04
  for
• 33:04
  us
• 33:04
  and,
• 33:05
  and
• 33:06
  is
• 33:07
  having,
• 33:08
  because,
• 33:09
  you
• 33:09
  know,
• 33:09
  a
• 33:10
  lot
• 33:10
  of
• 33:10
  guys
• 33:10
  that,
• 33:13
  you
• 33:13
  know,
• 33:14
  they're
• 33:14
  married,
• 33:15
  kids
• 33:15
  are
• 33:15
  out
• 33:15
  of
• 33:15
  the
• 33:15
  house,
• 33:16
  you
• 33:16
  know,
• 33:16
  and
• 33:16
  they,
• 33:17
  they
• 33:17
  want
• 33:17
  to
• 33:17
  go
• 33:17
  on
• 33:18
  the
• 33:18
  vacation
• 33:19
  and
• 33:19
  they,
• 33:20
  they
• 33:20
  mentioned
• 33:20
  fishing
• 33:21
  and
• 33:22
  maybe
• 33:23
  the
• 33:23
  spouse
• 33:23
  says,
• 33:24
  ah,
• 33:24
  that's
• 33:24
  not
• 33:24
  going
• 33:25
  to
• 33:25
  work.
• 33:25
  We're
• 33:25
  going
• 33:25
  together
• 33:26
  and
• 33:27
  you
• 33:27
  know,
• 33:27
  I
• 33:27
  want
• 33:27
  to
• 33:28
  go
• 33:28
  to
• 33:28
  Europe
• 33:28
  instead
• 33:29
  or
• 33:29
  whatever.
• 33:31
  And
• 33:32
  having,
• 33:33
  having
• 33:33
  the
• 33:34
  ability
• 33:34
  to
• 33:35
  have
• 33:35
  non
• 33:35
  angling
• 33:37
  spouses
• 33:38
  or
• 33:38
  partners,
• 33:39
  whatever
• 33:39
  come
• 33:39
  along
• 33:40
  has
• 33:41
  really
• 33:41
  helped
• 33:42
  with
• 33:42
  booking
• 33:43
  trips
• 33:43
  for
• 33:43
  us
• 33:44
  and
• 33:44
  I
• 33:44
  think
• 33:45
  has
• 33:45
  made
• 33:45
  the
• 33:45
  trips
• 33:46
  actually
• 33:46
  a
• 33:46
  lot
• 33:47
  better.
• 33:48
  And
• 33:49
  the
• 33:49
  one
• 33:49
  we
• 33:50
  do
• 33:50
  with
• 33:50
  set
• 33:50
  fly
• 33:51
  fishing
• 33:52
  in
• 33:52
  Patagonia
• 33:53
  in
• 33:53
  particular
• 33:53
  is
• 33:53
  just,
• 33:54
  it's
• 33:54
  worked
• 33:55
  out
• 33:55
  so
• 33:55
  well
• 33:55
  having
• 33:56
  non
• 33:56
  anglers
• 33:57
  go
• 33:57
  and
• 33:58
  to
• 33:58
  the
• 33:59
  point
• 33:59
  where,
• 33:59
  you
• 33:59
  know,
• 33:59
  Joan
• 34:00
  and
• 34:00
  the
• 34:01
  non
• 34:01
  anglers
• 34:01
  will
• 34:02
  come
• 34:02
  Back
• 34:03
  I've
• 34:03
  been
• 34:03
  out
• 34:03
  fishing
• 34:04
  with,
• 34:04
  with
• 34:05
  the
• 34:05
  anglers
• 34:06
  for
• 34:06
  the
• 34:06
  full
• 34:07
  day
• 34:07
  and
• 34:07
  they
• 34:07
  describe
• 34:08
  at
• 34:08
  dinner
• 34:08
  what
• 34:09
  they
• 34:09
  did
• 34:09
  for
• 34:09
  the
• 34:10
  day.
• 34:10
  And
• 34:10
  I'm
• 34:10
  like,
• 34:11
  maybe
• 34:12
  I
• 34:12
  could
• 34:12
  drop
• 34:12
  a
• 34:13
  day
• 34:13
  of
• 34:13
  angling
• 34:13
  and
• 34:14
  go
• 34:14
  and
• 34:14
  hang
• 34:14
  out
• 34:14
  with
• 34:14
  those
• 34:15
  guys
• 34:15
  for
• 34:15
  a
• 34:15
  while.
• 34:16
  You
• 34:16
  know,
• 34:17
  whether
• 34:17
  it's
• 34:17
  horseback
• 34:18
  riding
• 34:18
  with
• 34:18
  the
• 34:19
  gauchos
• 34:19
  or,
• 34:21
  you
• 34:21
  know,
• 34:22
  a
• 34:23
  seven
• 34:23
  course
• 34:24
  lunch
• 34:24
  in
• 34:24
  an
• 34:24
  organic
• 34:25
  farm,
• 34:26
  kayaking
• 34:27
  on
• 34:27
  the
• 34:27
  lake.
• 34:28
  Yeah,
• 34:29
  it
• 34:30
  all
• 34:30
  sounds
• 34:30
  good.
• 34:30
  It
• 34:31
  all
• 34:31
  sounds
• 34:31
  fun.
• 34:32
  Love
• 34:32
  to
• 34:32
  do
• 34:32
  it
• 34:33
  sometime.
• 34:33
  Yeah.
• 34:34
  And
• 34:34
  it's
• 34:35
  interesting
• 34:35
  too,
• 34:35
  because
• 34:35
  even
• 34:36
  if
• 34:36
  you
• 34:36
  work
• 34:36
  with
• 34:37
  a
• 34:37
  great
• 34:37
  lodge
• 34:37
  or
• 34:37
  an
• 34:37
  outfitter,
• 34:38
  I
• 34:39
  think
• 34:39
  that
• 34:39
  most
• 34:40
  people
• 34:40
  that
• 34:40
  kind
• 34:40
  of
• 34:40
  aren't
• 34:40
  in
• 34:41
  the
• 34:41
  industry
• 34:41
  have
• 34:42
  no
• 34:42
  idea
• 34:43
  how
• 34:43
  much
• 34:44
  work
• 34:44
  you
• 34:44
  and
• 34:44
  Joan
• 34:44
  put
• 34:45
  in
• 34:45
  kind
• 34:45
  of
• 34:45
  pre
• 34:46
  trip
• 34:46
  on
• 34:46
  the
• 34:46
  trip
• 34:46
  and
• 34:47
  post
• 34:47
  trip.
• 34:47
  And
• 34:47
  I
• 34:47
  was
• 34:47
  kind
• 34:48
  of
• 34:48
  wondering
• 34:48
  if
• 34:48
  you
• 34:48
  would
• 34:48
  kind
• 34:49
  of
• 34:49
  take
• 34:49
  us
• 34:50
  behind
• 34:50
  the
• 34:50
  curtain
• 34:50
  in
• 34:50
  the
• 34:50
  Land
• 34:51
  of
• 34:51
  Oz
• 34:51
  and
• 34:51
  tell
• 34:52
  us
• 34:52
  a
• 34:52
  little
• 34:52
  bit
• 34:52
  about
• 34:52
  what
• 34:52
  you
• 34:53
  guys
• 34:53
  do
• 34:53
  to
• 34:53
  make
• 34:54
  a
• 34:54
  trip
• 34:54
  a
• 34:54
  success.
• 34:56
  Well,
• 34:57
  it
• 34:57
  really
• 34:58
  starts
• 34:58
  out
• 34:58
  with
• 34:59
  Joan.
• 35:02
  Anybody
• 35:03
  will
• 35:04
  tell
• 35:04
  you
• 35:04
  that
• 35:04
  I
• 35:05
  certainly
• 35:05
  married
• 35:06
  up
• 35:07
  way
• 35:07
  back
• 35:08
  when.
• 35:08
  And
• 35:09
  she's
• 35:10
  amazing
• 35:10
  on
• 35:10
  the
• 35:11
  phone
• 35:11
  and
• 35:12
  with
• 35:13
  potential
• 35:13
  guests
• 35:14
  and
• 35:15
  working
• 35:15
  with
• 35:15
  the
• 35:15
  lodge
• 35:16
  and
• 35:16
  then
• 35:17
  putting
• 35:18
  the
• 35:18
  guests
• 35:18
  in
• 35:18
  contact
• 35:19
  with
• 35:19
  the
• 35:19
  folks
• 35:20
  at
• 35:20
  the
• 35:20
  lodge.
• 35:21
  And
• 35:22
  it
• 35:22
  is
• 35:22
  a
• 35:23
  whole
• 35:23
  lot
• 35:23
  of
• 35:23
  work
• 35:24
  on
• 35:24
  the
• 35:24
  phone
• 35:26
  for
• 35:26
  me.
• 35:27
  It's,
• 35:27
  you
• 35:27
  know,
• 35:27
  promoting
• 35:28
  either
• 35:28
  online
• 35:29
  or
• 35:30
  at
• 35:30
  the
• 35:30
  fly
• 35:30
  fishing
• 35:31
  shows
• 35:31
  or
• 35:32
  doing
• 35:32
  presentations
• 35:33
  either
• 35:33
  over
• 35:34
  zoom
• 35:34
  or
• 35:34
  in
• 35:34
  person
• 35:35
  to
• 35:35
  TU
• 35:36
  chapters
• 35:36
  or
• 35:36
  fishing
• 35:37
  clubs
• 35:38
  all
• 35:38
  throughout
• 35:38
  the
• 35:38
  country.
• 35:39
  And
• 35:41
  I,
• 35:42
  I
• 35:42
  do
• 35:42
  have
• 35:42
  an
• 35:43
  advantage
• 35:44
  over
• 35:44
  most
• 35:44
  people
• 35:45
  who
• 35:45
  are,
• 35:45
  who
• 35:45
  are,
• 35:46
  you
• 35:46
  know,
• 35:46
  booking
• 35:47
  trips
• 35:48
  in
• 35:48
  that
• 35:48
  I'm
• 35:49
  a
• 35:49
  video
• 35:49
  producer
• 35:51
  and
• 35:51
  my
• 35:52
  son
• 35:52
  Drew
• 35:52
  is
• 35:53
  as
• 35:53
  well.
• 35:53
  And
• 35:54
  so
• 35:55
  we
• 35:55
  can
• 35:57
  produce
• 35:57
  video
• 35:58
  to
• 35:59
  help
• 35:59
  us
• 35:59
  sell
• 35:59
  the
• 35:59
  trips.
• 36:00
  And
• 36:01
  that
• 36:01
  makes
• 36:01
  a
• 36:02
  big,
• 36:02
  big
• 36:02
  difference.
• 36:03
  And,
• 36:04
  you
• 36:04
  know,
• 36:04
  whether
• 36:05
  we're
• 36:05
  doing
• 36:05
  it
• 36:05
  over
• 36:05
  zoom
• 36:06
  or
• 36:06
  a
• 36:06
  fly
• 36:06
  fishing
• 36:07
  show,
• 36:08
  having
• 36:09
  potential
• 36:10
  guests
• 36:10
  get
• 36:10
  to
• 36:10
  see
• 36:11
  what
• 36:11
  the
• 36:11
  lodge
• 36:11
  looks
• 36:12
  like,
• 36:12
  see
• 36:12
  the
• 36:13
  quality
• 36:13
  of
• 36:13
  the
• 36:13
  fishing,
• 36:14
  quality
• 36:14
  of
• 36:15
  the
• 36:15
  food,
• 36:16
  how
• 36:16
  we
• 36:16
  interact
• 36:16
  with
• 36:17
  the
• 36:17
  guides,
• 36:18
  the
• 36:18
  scenery,
• 36:19
  everything
• 36:20
  is
• 36:20
  a
• 36:20
  real
• 36:20
  advantage
• 36:21
  in
• 36:22
  motion
• 36:22
  video.
• 36:23
  Kind
• 36:23
  of
• 36:23
  is,
• 36:23
  you
• 36:23
  know,
• 36:24
  the
• 36:24
  way
• 36:24
  to
• 36:24
  go
• 36:24
  now
• 36:26
  with
• 36:26
  that.
• 36:26
  So
• 36:27
  in
• 36:27
  a
• 36:27
  nutshell,
• 36:28
  that's
• 36:28
  sort
• 36:29
  of
• 36:29
  the
• 36:29
  behind
• 36:29
  the
• 36:29
  scenes.
• 36:31
  It
• 36:31
  is
• 36:31
  a
• 36:32
  lot
• 36:32
  of
• 36:32
  work.
• 36:32
  And
• 36:34
  I
• 36:34
  think
• 36:34
  one
• 36:34
  of
• 36:34
  the
• 36:34
  things
• 36:35
  people
• 36:35
  don't
• 36:35
  understand
• 36:36
  is
• 36:36
  that
• 36:37
  it's
• 36:37
  constant.
• 36:38
  It's
• 36:38
  throughout
• 36:39
  the
• 36:39
  year.
• 36:39
  You
• 36:40
  know,
• 36:40
  we're
• 36:40
  booking
• 36:41
  trips
• 36:41
  for
• 36:42
  2026
• 36:42
  and
• 36:43
  2027
• 36:44
  now.
• 36:45
  And
• 36:45
  so
• 36:46
  for
• 36:47
  a
• 36:47
  lot
• 36:47
  of
• 36:47
  people,
• 36:47
  these
• 36:47
  are
• 36:48
  triple
• 36:49
  the
• 36:49
  lifetime.
• 36:51
  And
• 36:52
  two,
• 36:53
  even
• 36:53
  three
• 36:53
  years
• 36:53
  in
• 36:54
  advance
• 36:54
  is
• 36:54
  what
• 36:55
  we
• 36:55
  have
• 36:55
  to
• 36:55
  do
• 36:55
  in
• 36:55
  terms
• 36:56
  of
• 36:56
  booking.
• 36:57
  Yeah.
• 36:57
  And
• 36:57
  then
• 36:58
  on
• 36:58
  the
• 36:58
  trip,
• 36:58
  I
• 36:58
  imagine
• 36:59
  one,
• 36:59
  you're
• 37:00
  kind
• 37:00
  of,
• 37:01
  it's
• 37:01
  not
• 37:01
  all
• 37:01
  fishing
• 37:02
  for
• 37:02
  You.
• 37:02
  Right,
• 37:02
  because
• 37:02
  you're
• 37:03
  kind
• 37:03
  of
• 37:03
  being
• 37:03
  the
• 37:04
  kind
• 37:04
  of
• 37:04
  the
• 37:04
  policeman
• 37:04
  and
• 37:05
  the
• 37:05
  concierge
• 37:05
  and
• 37:05
  you
• 37:06
  probably
• 37:06
  taking
• 37:07
  extra
• 37:07
  rods
• 37:07
  and
• 37:07
  extra
• 37:08
  gear
• 37:08
  and
• 37:08
  all
• 37:08
  kinds
• 37:08
  of
• 37:09
  stuff
• 37:09
  like
• 37:09
  that
• 37:09
  too.
• 37:09
  Right,
• 37:11
  exactly.
• 37:12
  And.
• 37:13
  And
• 37:14
  yeah,
• 37:14
  I.
• 37:15
  I
• 37:16
  haven't
• 37:16
  fished
• 37:16
  in
• 37:16
  the
• 37:16
  front
• 37:17
  of
• 37:17
  a
• 37:17
  drift
• 37:17
  boat
• 37:17
  in
• 37:18
  years
• 37:18
  and
• 37:18
  years,
• 37:19
  if
• 37:19
  that
• 37:19
  tells
• 37:19
  you
• 37:19
  anything.
• 37:20
  You
• 37:21
  know,
• 37:21
  it,
• 37:22
  it's.
• 37:22
  It's
• 37:22
  all.
• 37:23
  It's
• 37:23
  about
• 37:23
  the
• 37:23
  guests
• 37:24
  first
• 37:24
  and
• 37:24
  foremost.
• 37:25
  And
• 37:26
  I.
• 37:26
  I'm
• 37:26
  there
• 37:27
  fishing.
• 37:28
  Fishing
• 37:29
  is
• 37:29
  a
• 37:29
  small.
• 37:30
  Honestly,
• 37:30
  a
• 37:30
  small
• 37:31
  part
• 37:31
  of
• 37:31
  it
• 37:31
  for
• 37:31
  me.
• 37:31
  I,
• 37:32
  I
• 37:32
  love
• 37:32
  doing
• 37:32
  it,
• 37:33
  I
• 37:34
  love
• 37:34
  participating
• 37:35
  in
• 37:35
  it,
• 37:35
  but
• 37:36
  it
• 37:36
  really
• 37:36
  is
• 37:36
  about
• 37:37
  the
• 37:37
  guests
• 37:38
  having
• 37:38
  the
• 37:39
  best
• 37:39
  time
• 37:40
  possible.
• 37:42
  And
• 37:44
  yeah,
• 37:44
  even
• 37:44
  if
• 37:44
  that
• 37:45
  means
• 37:45
  me
• 37:45
  taking
• 37:46
  a
• 37:46
  day
• 37:46
  off
• 37:47
  and
• 37:48
  staying
• 37:48
  back
• 37:48
  at
• 37:48
  the
• 37:48
  lodge
• 37:49
  with
• 37:49
  somebody,
• 37:50
  maybe
• 37:50
  they're
• 37:51
  not
• 37:51
  feeling
• 37:51
  well
• 37:52
  or
• 37:52
  just
• 37:52
  want
• 37:52
  to
• 37:53
  hang
• 37:53
  out,
• 37:53
  something
• 37:53
  like
• 37:54
  that.
• 37:54
  Happy
• 37:54
  to
• 37:55
  do
• 37:55
  it.
• 37:55
  Yeah.
• 37:56
  It's
• 37:56
  an
• 37:56
  interesting
• 37:57
  thing.
• 37:57
  It's
• 37:57
  kind
• 37:57
  of
• 37:58
  funny.
• 37:58
  I
• 37:58
  was
• 37:58
  thinking,
• 37:59
  I
• 37:59
  think
• 37:59
  I
• 37:59
  fished
• 38:00
  with
• 38:00
  Andy's
• 38:00
  drifters
• 38:01
  back
• 38:01
  in
• 38:02
  2006,
• 38:04
  and
• 38:04
  I
• 38:04
  actually
• 38:04
  have
• 38:05
  my
• 38:05
  patch
• 38:05
  here
• 38:06
  on
• 38:06
  my
• 38:06
  recording
• 38:07
  table.
• 38:07
  And
• 38:08
  it's
• 38:08
  kind
• 38:08
  of
• 38:09
  amazing.
• 38:09
  I
• 38:09
  mean,
• 38:09
  I,
• 38:09
  you
• 38:09
  know,
• 38:10
  like
• 38:10
  you.
• 38:10
  I've
• 38:10
  known
• 38:10
  Gustavo
• 38:11
  forever,
• 38:11
  actually.
• 38:12
  I'll
• 38:12
  be
• 38:12
  sure
• 38:12
  to
• 38:12
  put
• 38:12
  a
• 38:13
  link
• 38:13
  to
• 38:13
  the
• 38:14
  interview
• 38:14
  I
• 38:14
  did
• 38:14
  with
• 38:14
  him.
• 38:15
  But,
• 38:15
  you
• 38:15
  know,
• 38:15
  they've
• 38:16
  got
• 38:16
  a
• 38:16
  massive
• 38:16
  operation
• 38:17
  now
• 38:17
  under
• 38:17
  set
• 38:18
  where
• 38:18
  they're
• 38:18
  guiding
• 38:18
  Dorado
• 38:19
  plus
• 38:19
  everything
• 38:20
  kind
• 38:20
  of
• 38:20
  down
• 38:20
  in
• 38:21
  the
• 38:21
  traditional
• 38:21
  Patagonia
• 38:22
  region,
• 38:22
  you
• 38:23
  know.
• 38:23
  What
• 38:23
  subset
• 38:24
  of
• 38:24
  that
• 38:24
  are
• 38:24
  you
• 38:25
  hosting
• 38:25
  with
• 38:26
  them?
• 38:27
  Well,
• 38:28
  the,
• 38:29
  um.
• 38:30
  I
• 38:30
  have
• 38:30
  to
• 38:31
  back
• 38:31
  up
• 38:31
  a
• 38:31
  little
• 38:31
  bit
• 38:31
  because
• 38:32
  I.
• 38:32
  I've
• 38:32
  been
• 38:32
  doing
• 38:32
  trips
• 38:33
  with
• 38:33
  them
• 38:33
  at
• 38:34
  Spring
• 38:34
  Creek
• 38:34
  Lodge
• 38:34
  for
• 38:35
  quite
• 38:35
  a
• 38:35
  few
• 38:35
  years
• 38:36
  now.
• 38:36
  And
• 38:36
  I've
• 38:37
  also
• 38:37
  done
• 38:39
  different
• 38:39
  lodges
• 38:40
  with
• 38:40
  them
• 38:40
  for
• 38:41
  Golden
• 38:41
  Dorado
• 38:42
  up
• 38:42
  in
• 38:43
  northern
• 38:43
  Argentina
• 38:45
  at
• 38:45
  the
• 38:45
  Ibera
• 38:46
  Marsh,
• 38:47
  which
• 38:47
  is
• 38:47
  just.
• 38:50
  If
• 38:50
  you
• 38:50
  ever
• 38:50
  have
• 38:51
  a
• 38:51
  chance
• 38:51
  to
• 38:51
  go.
• 38:52
  It's
• 38:52
  one
• 38:53
  of
• 38:53
  the
• 38:53
  most
• 38:53
  magical
• 38:54
  places
• 38:54
  I've
• 38:54
  ever
• 38:54
  been.
• 38:55
  I
• 38:55
  can't
• 38:55
  even
• 38:56
  describe
• 38:56
  what
• 38:56
  it's
• 38:57
  like
• 38:57
  up
• 38:57
  there
• 38:57
  in
• 38:57
  the
• 38:58
  Dorado.
• 38:58
  Fishing
• 38:58
  is
• 38:59
  fabulous.
• 39:00
  Not
• 39:01
  necessarily
• 39:01
  the
• 39:01
  largest
• 39:02
  Golden
• 39:02
  Dorado,
• 39:03
  but
• 39:03
  they
• 39:03
  also
• 39:04
  have
• 39:04
  a
• 39:04
  program,
• 39:05
  Ikati
• 39:06
  Lodge
• 39:06
  on
• 39:06
  the
• 39:06
  Parana
• 39:07
  river.
• 39:08
  The
• 39:08
  new,
• 39:10
  which
• 39:10
  is
• 39:10
  back
• 39:10
  in
• 39:10
  another
• 39:11
  marsh
• 39:11
  that's
• 39:12
  off
• 39:13
  the
• 39:13
  Parana.
• 39:14
  Incredible
• 39:15
  Golden
• 39:15
  Dorado
• 39:16
  fishing
• 39:16
  up
• 39:17
  there.
• 39:18
  Just
• 39:19
  wild.
• 39:20
  Beautiful
• 39:21
  facility
• 39:22
  at
• 39:22
  E
• 39:22
  Tati.
• 39:24
  Incredible
• 39:25
  food.
• 39:26
  I
• 39:27
  won't
• 39:27
  spoil
• 39:27
  any
• 39:27
  of
• 39:27
  the
• 39:28
  surprises,
• 39:28
  but
• 39:28
  there
• 39:29
  are
• 39:29
  surprises
• 39:29
  throughout
• 39:30
  the
• 39:30
  trip
• 39:30
  that
• 39:30
  they
• 39:31
  do
• 39:31
  that
• 39:31
  just.
• 39:31
  Just
• 39:32
  blow
• 39:32
  you
• 39:32
  away.
• 39:34
  Spring
• 39:34
  Creek
• 39:35
  Lodge.
• 39:35
  Down.
• 39:36
  Down.
• 39:37
  More.
• 39:37
  It's
• 39:38
  northern
• 39:38
  Patagonia
• 39:39
  on
• 39:40
  the
• 39:40
  classic
• 39:40
  rivers,
• 39:41
  the
• 39:41
  Chimaween,
• 39:41
  Cajun,
• 39:42
  Cora,
• 39:42
  Mageo
• 39:45
  Illuminae.
• 39:46
  Probably
• 39:47
  forgetting
• 39:47
  some,
• 39:48
  but
• 39:49
  the
• 39:49
  one
• 39:50
  having
• 39:50
  done
• 39:51
  that
• 39:51
  trip
• 39:51
  for
• 39:51
  years
• 39:52
  and
• 39:52
  years,
• 39:53
  I
• 39:53
  always
• 39:53
  go
• 39:53
  at
• 39:53
  the
• 39:54
  end
• 39:54
  of
• 39:54
  their
• 39:54
  season.
• 39:55
  So
• 39:55
  April
• 39:56
  into
• 39:56
  May,
• 39:57
  it's
• 39:57
  getting
• 39:57
  to
• 39:57
  be
• 39:57
  Patagonia
• 39:59
  late
• 39:59
  fall.
• 40:00
  And
• 40:01
  so
• 40:01
  they're
• 40:02
  kind
• 40:02
  of
• 40:02
  winding
• 40:02
  up
• 40:03
  for
• 40:03
  the
• 40:04
  season.
• 40:04
  And
• 40:05
  I
• 40:05
  talked
• 40:05
  to
• 40:05
  the
• 40:06
  guides
• 40:06
  and
• 40:06
  it's
• 40:07
  like
• 40:07
  you
• 40:07
  guys
• 40:07
  have
• 40:07
  been
• 40:07
  guiding
• 40:08
  for
• 40:08
  six
• 40:08
  months
• 40:09
  straight.
• 40:09
  What
• 40:09
  are
• 40:09
  you
• 40:09
  going
• 40:09
  to
• 40:10
  do?
• 40:10
  You're
• 40:10
  going
• 40:10
  to
• 40:10
  go
• 40:11
  home
• 40:11
  and
• 40:11
  you're
• 40:11
  going
• 40:11
  to
• 40:12
  hang
• 40:12
  out
• 40:12
  with
• 40:12
  the
• 40:12
  family
• 40:13
  for
• 40:13
  a
• 40:13
  while.
• 40:14
  Almost
• 40:15
  to
• 40:15
  a
• 40:16
  man,
• 40:16
  almost
• 40:17
  to
• 40:17
  a
• 40:17
  guide,
• 40:18
  they
• 40:18
  said,
• 40:18
  no,
• 40:19
  we're
• 40:19
  going
• 40:19
  to
• 40:19
  go
• 40:19
  fish
• 40:20
  the
• 40:20
  Limai
• 40:20
  video.
• 40:21
  And
• 40:22
  I'm
• 40:22
  like,
• 40:22
  what
• 40:22
  are
• 40:22
  you
• 40:23
  crazy?
• 40:24
  You
• 40:24
  know,
• 40:24
  you've
• 40:24
  been
• 40:24
  kiting
• 40:25
  for
• 40:25
  six
• 40:25
  months
• 40:25
  and
• 40:26
  you're
• 40:26
  going
• 40:26
  to
• 40:26
  go
• 40:26
  fishing
• 40:27
  for,
• 40:27
  for
• 40:27
  a
• 40:27
  week
• 40:28
  long
• 40:28
  float
• 40:28
  on
• 40:28
  the
• 40:28
  limai
• 40:29
  and
• 40:29
  it's
• 40:30
  like,
• 40:30
  yeah,
• 40:30
  so
• 40:31
  you
• 40:31
  hear
• 40:31
  that
• 40:31
  enough
• 40:32
  from
• 40:32
  enough
• 40:32
  guides
• 40:33
  and
• 40:33
  you
• 40:33
  got
• 40:33
  to
• 40:34
  go
• 40:34
  for
• 40:34
  yourself.
• 40:34
  And
• 40:35
  I
• 40:35
  went
• 40:35
  for
• 40:35
  the
• 40:35
  first
• 40:35
  time
• 40:36
  last
• 40:36
  year,
• 40:36
  Marvin.
• 40:38
  It's
• 40:38
  you
• 40:38
  know,
• 40:39
  a
• 40:39
  full
• 40:39
  six
• 40:39
  day
• 40:40
  float
• 40:40
  camping
• 40:40
  on
• 40:41
  the
• 40:41
  river
• 40:41
  every
• 40:41
  night
• 40:42
  on
• 40:42
  my
• 40:42
  mediocre
• 40:44
  giganto
• 40:45
  Brown
• 40:45
  trout.
• 40:46
  Spectacular
• 40:48
  kind
• 40:48
  of
• 40:48
  smaller
• 40:49
  browns
• 40:49
  in
• 40:50
  rainbows,
• 40:50
  but
• 40:52
  pretty
• 40:52
  much
• 40:52
  as
• 40:53
  many
• 40:53
  as
• 40:53
  you
• 40:53
  want.
• 40:54
  Dry
• 40:54
  fly
• 40:55
  fishing,
• 40:55
  even
• 40:55
  that
• 40:55
  time
• 40:56
  of
• 40:56
  year
• 40:56
  for,
• 40:56
  but
• 40:57
  people
• 40:58
  go
• 40:58
  there
• 40:59
  for
• 40:59
  these
• 41:00
  just
• 41:01
  huge,
• 41:02
  huge
• 41:02
  brown
• 41:03
  trout.
• 41:03
  Big
• 41:04
  minnow
• 41:04
  eaters.
• 41:05
  It's
• 41:05
  a
• 41:05
  minnow
• 41:05
  hatch
• 41:06
  that
• 41:06
  happens
• 41:06
  down
• 41:06
  there
• 41:07
  and
• 41:07
  that's,
• 41:07
  that's
• 41:07
  kind
• 41:08
  of
• 41:08
  what
• 41:08
  you're
• 41:08
  chasing
• 41:09
  in.
• 41:09
  So
• 41:10
  that
• 41:10
  is,
• 41:11
  that's
• 41:12
  an
• 41:12
  amazing
• 41:12
  trip.
• 41:13
  But
• 41:13
  I
• 41:13
  also
• 41:13
  know
• 41:13
  that
• 41:14
  they
• 41:14
  have
• 41:14
  a.
• 41:15
  Probably
• 41:16
  a
• 41:16
  little
• 41:16
  out
• 41:16
  of
• 41:16
  my
• 41:16
  price
• 41:17
  range,
• 41:17
  but.
• 41:17
  But
• 41:18
  a
• 41:18
  heli
• 41:19
  fishing
• 41:19
  operation
• 41:20
  on
• 41:21
  waters
• 41:21
  that
• 41:22
  people
• 41:23
  have
• 41:23
  never
• 41:23
  fished.
• 41:24
  Way,
• 41:24
  way
• 41:24
  up
• 41:25
  in
• 41:25
  northern
• 41:25
  Patagonia
• 41:26
  and
• 41:27
  you
• 41:27
  know,
• 41:27
  really
• 41:28
  accessible
• 41:28
  only
• 41:29
  by
• 41:29
  helicopter.
• 41:30
  So
• 41:31
  you
• 41:31
  know,
• 41:31
  they
• 41:31
  got
• 41:31
  a
• 41:31
  lot
• 41:32
  going
• 41:32
  on.
• 41:33
  And
• 41:33
  I
• 41:33
  would
• 41:33
  say
• 41:33
  the
• 41:33
  amazing
• 41:34
  thing
• 41:34
  is,
• 41:35
  you
• 41:35
  know,
• 41:36
  to
• 41:37
  a
• 41:37
  man
• 41:37
  they
• 41:37
  are
• 41:38
  super
• 41:38
  hardcore.
• 41:39
  Right?
• 41:39
  Like,
• 41:39
  it's
• 41:39
  not
• 41:40
  like,
• 41:40
  oh,
• 41:40
  you
• 41:41
  know,
• 41:41
  it's
• 41:41
  not
• 41:41
  like
• 41:41
  the
• 41:42
  hand
• 41:42
  goes,
• 41:42
  oh,
• 41:42
  we've
• 41:43
  had
• 41:43
  eight
• 41:43
  hours.
• 41:43
  Get
• 41:43
  your
• 41:44
  stuff,
• 41:44
  we're
• 41:44
  going
• 41:44
  home.
• 41:45
  I
• 41:45
  mean
• 41:45
  they
• 41:45
  will
• 41:45
  literally
• 41:47
  fish
• 41:47
  until
• 41:48
  like
• 41:48
  you
• 41:48
  can't
• 41:48
  fish
• 41:48
  anymore.
• 41:50
  Yeah,
• 41:51
  well,
• 41:51
  and
• 41:51
  I,
• 41:51
  I'm.
• 41:52
  I'm
• 41:52
  gonna
• 41:52
  dog
• 41:53
  Gustavo
• 41:53
  out
• 41:53
  here
• 41:54
  because
• 41:54
  it's
• 41:55
  kind
• 41:55
  of
• 41:55
  a
• 41:55
  funny
• 41:55
  story.
• 41:56
  I'll.
• 41:56
  I'll
• 41:56
  abbreviate
• 41:57
  it.
• 41:57
  But
• 41:58
  I
• 41:58
  think
• 41:58
  it
• 41:59
  was
• 41:59
  my
• 41:59
  first
• 41:59
  year
• 42:00
  down
• 42:00
  there.
• 42:00
  It
• 42:00
  was
• 42:00
  like
• 42:00
  kind
• 42:00
  of
• 42:00
  an
• 42:01
  exploratory
• 42:01
  trip.
• 42:02
  And
• 42:03
  we're
• 42:03
  floating
• 42:03
  down,
• 42:04
  I
• 42:04
  think,
• 42:04
  I
• 42:04
  hope
• 42:04
  it
• 42:04
  was
• 42:05
  the
• 42:05
  Chimaway.
• 42:05
  Pretty
• 42:06
  sure
• 42:06
  it
• 42:06
  was
• 42:06
  a
• 42:06
  chimney.
• 42:07
  And
• 42:07
  I
• 42:07
  was
• 42:08
  floating
• 42:08
  with
• 42:08
  Gustavo.
• 42:09
  You
• 42:09
  know,
• 42:09
  he's
• 42:10
  the
• 42:10
  owner
• 42:10
  of
• 42:11
  Set
• 42:12
  Fly
• 42:12
  fishing.
• 42:13
  It's
• 42:14
  a
• 42:14
  big
• 42:14
  operation,
• 42:15
  but
• 42:16
  he's
• 42:16
  also
• 42:16
  a
• 42:17
  guide.
• 42:17
  And
• 42:18
  so
• 42:18
  we're
• 42:19
  floating
• 42:19
  down
• 42:20
  and
• 42:20
  he,
• 42:20
  he's
• 42:20
  kind
• 42:21
  of
• 42:21
  holding
• 42:21
  Back
• 42:21
  on
• 42:21
  the
• 42:22
  oars.
• 42:22
  And
• 42:22
  the
• 42:22
  other
• 42:23
  boat
• 42:23
  was
• 42:23
  getting
• 42:23
  ahead
• 42:23
  of
• 42:24
  us
• 42:24
  by
• 42:24
  quite
• 42:24
  a
• 42:24
  bit.
• 42:24
  And
• 42:25
  he
• 42:25
  goes,
• 42:25
  we'll
• 42:26
  let
• 42:26
  those
• 42:26
  guys
• 42:26
  go
• 42:27
  out
• 42:27
  of
• 42:27
  sight.
• 42:27
  We're
• 42:27
  going
• 42:27
  to
• 42:28
  sneak
• 42:28
  in
• 42:28
  here
• 42:29
  because
• 42:29
  it's
• 42:29
  a
• 42:29
  place
• 42:30
  I
• 42:30
  know.
• 42:31
  And
• 42:31
  we
• 42:32
  got
• 42:32
  into
• 42:32
  this
• 42:32
  little.
• 42:33
  It
• 42:33
  was
• 42:33
  a
• 42:34
  kind
• 42:34
  of
• 42:34
  a
• 42:34
  gravel
• 42:35
  bar
• 42:35
  with
• 42:35
  water
• 42:35
  dumping
• 42:36
  over
• 42:36
  it
• 42:37
  and
• 42:38
  just
• 42:39
  full
• 42:39
  on
• 42:40
  mayfly
• 42:41
  hatch.
• 42:41
  And
• 42:42
  so
• 42:43
  I'm
• 42:43
  there
• 42:43
  shooting
• 42:44
  video
• 42:45
  and
• 42:45
  he,
• 42:46
  I
• 42:46
  handed
• 42:46
  him
• 42:46
  my
• 42:47
  rod,
• 42:47
  I
• 42:47
  let
• 42:47
  him
• 42:48
  fish.
• 42:48
  I
• 42:48
  needed
• 42:48
  the
• 42:48
  video.
• 42:49
  And
• 42:49
  so.
• 42:50
  But
• 42:51
  it's
• 42:52
  actually
• 42:52
  on
• 42:52
  my
• 42:52
  YouTube
• 42:53
  channel
• 42:53
  video
• 42:54
  of
• 42:54
  this.
• 42:54
  Gustavo.
• 42:55
  In
• 42:55
  one
• 42:56
  hour.
• 42:56
  We
• 42:56
  timed
• 42:57
  it.
• 42:57
  27
• 42:58
  fish
• 42:58
  on
• 42:58
  dry
• 42:59
  flies
• 42:59
  in
• 42:59
  one
• 42:59
  hour.
• 43:00
  And
• 43:01
  honestly,
• 43:02
  he
• 43:02
  was
• 43:02
  like
• 43:02
  a
• 43:02
  little
• 43:03
  kid,
• 43:03
  you
• 43:04
  know,
• 43:04
  like
• 43:05
  15
• 43:06
  year
• 43:06
  old
• 43:06
  who
• 43:07
  just
• 43:08
  hooked
• 43:09
  his
• 43:09
  first
• 43:09
  dry
• 43:09
  fly
• 43:10
  fish.
• 43:10
  And
• 43:12
  watching
• 43:12
  him
• 43:12
  go
• 43:13
  to
• 43:13
  town
• 43:13
  fish
• 43:13
  and
• 43:13
  the
• 43:14
  smile
• 43:14
  on
• 43:14
  his
• 43:14
  face
• 43:15
  makes
• 43:15
  you
• 43:16
  realize
• 43:16
  that,
• 43:17
  you
• 43:17
  know,
• 43:17
  big
• 43:17
  business,
• 43:18
  all
• 43:18
  that
• 43:18
  stuff
• 43:18
  aside,
• 43:19
  first
• 43:20
  of
• 43:20
  all,
• 43:20
  he's
• 43:20
  a
• 43:21
  great
• 43:22
  angler,
• 43:23
  great
• 43:24
  guide,
• 43:25
  and
• 43:25
  just
• 43:26
  thoroughly,
• 43:26
  thoroughly
• 43:27
  enjoys
• 43:27
  what
• 43:27
  he
• 43:28
  does,
• 43:29
  which
• 43:29
  is
• 43:29
  super
• 43:30
  important.
• 43:31
  Absolutely.
• 43:32
  And
• 43:32
  you
• 43:32
  know,
• 43:32
  it's
• 43:33
  interesting
• 43:33
  too,
• 43:33
  right,
• 43:34
  because
• 43:34
  your
• 43:34
  trips
• 43:34
  in
• 43:34
  Montana
• 43:35
  are
• 43:35
  kind
• 43:35
  of
• 43:35
  off
• 43:36
  the
• 43:36
  beaten
• 43:36
  path,
• 43:37
  you
• 43:37
  know,
• 43:37
  even
• 43:37
  by
• 43:38
  Montana
• 43:38
  standards.
• 43:38
  So
• 43:39
  you're
• 43:39
  not
• 43:39
  down
• 43:39
  there,
• 43:40
  you
• 43:40
  know,
• 43:40
  kind
• 43:41
  of
• 43:41
  in
• 43:41
  the
• 43:41
  thick
• 43:41
  of
• 43:42
  humanity
• 43:42
  in
• 43:42
  southwest
• 43:43
  Montana.
• 43:45
  Yeah,
• 43:45
  yeah,
• 43:46
  it's
• 43:46
  northwest
• 43:47
  Montana
• 43:47
  and
• 43:47
  it's,
• 43:48
  it's
• 43:48
  a
• 43:49
  tailwater.
• 43:49
  The
• 43:49
  Libby
• 43:50
  Dam
• 43:50
  is
• 43:50
  huge
• 43:51
  and
• 43:51
  they,
• 43:52
  they
• 43:52
  release
• 43:53
  water
• 43:55
  in
• 43:56
  a
• 43:57
  very
• 43:58
  angler
• 43:59
  friendly
• 44:00
  manner,
• 44:00
  let's
• 44:00
  put
• 44:00
  it
• 44:01
  that
• 44:01
  way.
• 44:02
  And
• 44:03
  so
• 44:03
  when
• 44:03
  I
• 44:04
  go
• 44:04
  there,
• 44:04
  end
• 44:05
  of
• 44:05
  July,
• 44:06
  beginning
• 44:06
  of
• 44:06
  August,
• 44:08
  flows
• 44:08
  have
• 44:09
  generally
• 44:09
  kind
• 44:09
  of
• 44:09
  stabilized
• 44:10
  for
• 44:10
  the
• 44:10
  summer.
• 44:11
  They've
• 44:11
  been
• 44:12
  stepping
• 44:12
  down
• 44:13
  since
• 44:13
  runoff.
• 44:14
  And
• 44:16
  so
• 44:17
  it's
• 44:17
  really
• 44:18
  nice.
• 44:18
  I
• 44:18
  mean,
• 44:18
  it's
• 44:19
  cold
• 44:19
  water
• 44:19
  coming
• 44:20
  out
• 44:20
  of
• 44:20
  the
• 44:20
  Libby
• 44:20
  damage
• 44:21
  and
• 44:22
  we
• 44:22
  don't
• 44:22
  have
• 44:22
  to
• 44:22
  deal
• 44:22
  with
• 44:23
  Hudao
• 44:23
  restrictions
• 44:25
  the
• 44:25
  way
• 44:25
  a
• 44:25
  lot
• 44:26
  of
• 44:26
  other
• 44:26
  rivers
• 44:27
  and
• 44:27
  areas
• 44:27
  in
• 44:27
  Montana
• 44:28
  have
• 44:29
  to
• 44:29
  deal
• 44:29
  with
• 44:29
  at
• 44:29
  that
• 44:30
  time
• 44:30
  of
• 44:30
  year.
• 44:31
  So,
• 44:31
  so
• 44:32
  it's
• 44:32
  very,
• 44:32
  very
• 44:33
  dependable.
• 44:34
  And
• 44:34
  you
• 44:34
  know,
• 44:35
  when
• 44:35
  I
• 44:35
  have
• 44:36
  guests
• 44:36
  come
• 44:36
  out
• 44:36
  there,
• 44:39
  you
• 44:39
  can
• 44:39
  be
• 44:39
  assured
• 44:39
  that
• 44:40
  they're
• 44:40
  going
• 44:40
  to
• 44:40
  be
• 44:40
  fishing
• 44:41
  each
• 44:41
  and
• 44:41
  every
• 44:41
  day
• 44:42
  because
• 44:42
  of
• 44:43
  the
• 44:43
  water
• 44:43
  conditions
• 44:44
  and
• 44:45
  you
• 44:45
  know,
• 44:45
  very,
• 44:46
  very
• 44:46
  few
• 44:46
  other
• 44:47
  outfitters.
• 44:48
  On
• 44:48
  the
• 44:48
  Kootenai
• 44:49
  we
• 44:49
  see
• 44:49
  very,
• 44:49
  very
• 44:50
  few
• 44:50
  boats.
• 44:51
  Really
• 44:52
  remarkable
• 44:53
  fishery.
• 44:54
  And
• 44:54
  I
• 44:54
  also
• 44:54
  got
• 44:55
  to
• 44:55
  say
• 44:55
  that
• 44:55
  Tim
• 44:55
  Linehan,
• 44:56
  he's
• 44:56
  another
• 44:57
  one.
• 44:57
  He's.
• 44:58
  He
• 44:58
  and
• 44:58
  Joanna
• 44:58
  had
• 44:58
  the
• 44:59
  business
• 44:59
  for
• 45:00
  over
• 45:00
  30
• 45:00
  years
• 45:01
  now.
• 45:01
  And
• 45:02
  you
• 45:02
  get
• 45:02
  in
• 45:02
  to
• 45:03
  the
• 45:03
  boat
• 45:03
  with
• 45:03
  Tim
• 45:04
  Linehan
• 45:04
  and
• 45:05
  it's
• 45:05
  like
• 45:05
  you're
• 45:06
  with
• 45:06
  a
• 45:06
  little
• 45:06
  kid.
• 45:07
  It's
• 45:07
  like
• 45:08
  again,
• 45:09
  his,
• 45:09
  his
• 45:10
  passion,
• 45:10
  his
• 45:11
  enthusiasm
• 45:12
  for
• 45:12
  what
• 45:12
  he
• 45:13
  does,
• 45:13
  it's
• 45:13
  just
• 45:14
  contagious.
• 45:15
  You
• 45:15
  just
• 45:16
  can't
• 45:16
  believe
• 45:16
  that
• 45:17
  Somebody
• 45:17
  after
• 45:18
  that
• 45:18
  long
• 45:18
  that
• 45:18
  many
• 45:19
  times
• 45:19
  down
• 45:19
  that
• 45:20
  river
• 45:20
  would
• 45:21
  still
• 45:21
  get
• 45:21
  as
• 45:21
  wound
• 45:22
  up
• 45:22
  as
• 45:22
  he
• 45:22
  does
• 45:22
  about
• 45:23
  fishing
• 45:23
  it.
• 45:24
  Yeah,
• 45:25
  that's.
• 45:25
  That's
• 45:25
  super
• 45:25
  neat.
• 45:26
  And
• 45:26
  tell
• 45:26
  us
• 45:26
  a
• 45:26
  little
• 45:26
  bit
• 45:26
  about
• 45:27
  what
• 45:27
  makes,
• 45:27
  you
• 45:27
  know,
• 45:28
  Spruce
• 45:28
  Creek
• 45:28
  such
• 45:28
  a
• 45:29
  special
• 45:29
  place
• 45:29
  that,
• 45:29
  you
• 45:29
  know,
• 45:30
  what
• 45:30
  is
• 45:30
  it?
• 45:30
  Five
• 45:30
  presidents
• 45:31
  have
• 45:31
  fish
• 45:31
  there,
• 45:32
  right?
• 45:33
  Yeah,
• 45:33
  it's.
• 45:34
  It's.
• 45:36
  Yeah.
• 45:37
  Spruce.
• 45:37
  Spruce
• 45:38
  is
• 45:38
  interesting
• 45:38
  for
• 45:38
  those
• 45:39
  that
• 45:39
  you
• 45:40
  don't
• 45:40
  know.
• 45:40
  It's
• 45:40
  a
• 45:40
  very
• 45:40
  small
• 45:41
  stream.
• 45:42
  It
• 45:42
  dumps
• 45:42
  into
• 45:43
  the
• 45:43
  little
• 45:43
  Juniata
• 45:44
  river,
• 45:44
  which
• 45:44
  is
• 45:45
  a
• 45:45
  spectacular
• 45:46
  fishery
• 45:46
  on
• 45:47
  its
• 45:47
  own.
• 45:48
  Wild
• 45:49
  browns,
• 45:50
  really
• 45:50
  great
• 45:51
  bug
• 45:51
  catches.
• 45:51
  But.
• 45:52
  But
• 45:52
  spruce
• 45:53
  is.
• 45:53
  It's
• 45:54
  just.
• 45:55
  Yeah,
• 45:56
  presidents
• 45:56
  have
• 45:56
  fish
• 45:57
  there.
• 45:58
  I
• 45:59
  actually
• 46:00
  one
• 46:01
  time,
• 46:01
  years
• 46:01
  ago,
• 46:02
  was
• 46:02
  doing
• 46:02
  video
• 46:02
  work
• 46:03
  for
• 46:03
  someone
• 46:03
  else,
• 46:03
  running
• 46:04
  trips
• 46:04
  there,
• 46:04
  and
• 46:05
  was
• 46:05
  pulling
• 46:05
  in
• 46:06
  the
• 46:06
  driveway
• 46:07
  at
• 46:07
  the
• 46:07
  lower
• 46:08
  property,
• 46:08
  and
• 46:08
  there
• 46:09
  was
• 46:09
  a
• 46:09
  car
• 46:10
  coming
• 46:10
  out,
• 46:10
  and
• 46:10
  there
• 46:10
  was
• 46:11
  a
• 46:11
  woman
• 46:11
  in
• 46:11
  it,
• 46:12
  and
• 46:13
  she
• 46:14
  pulled
• 46:14
  over
• 46:15
  like
• 46:15
  she
• 46:15
  wanted
• 46:15
  to
• 46:16
  talk.
• 46:16
  And
• 46:16
  I
• 46:16
  rolled
• 46:17
  down
• 46:17
  my
• 46:17
  window
• 46:17
  and
• 46:18
  she
• 46:18
  rolled
• 46:18
  down
• 46:18
  hers.
• 46:19
  She
• 46:19
  looked
• 46:19
  very
• 46:19
  familiar,
• 46:20
  and
• 46:21
  I
• 46:21
  thought
• 46:22
  maybe
• 46:22
  she.
• 46:22
  A
• 46:22
  friend
• 46:22
  of
• 46:23
  my
• 46:23
  mom's,
• 46:23
  you
• 46:23
  know,
• 46:24
  it
• 46:24
  was
• 46:24
  about
• 46:24
  that
• 46:24
  age.
• 46:25
  And
• 46:25
  finally
• 46:25
  pulled
• 46:26
  down
• 46:26
  into
• 46:26
  the
• 46:26
  lodge,
• 46:27
  and
• 46:28
  Phil
• 46:28
  Gay,
• 46:29
  a
• 46:29
  friend
• 46:29
  of
• 46:30
  mine
• 46:30
  who
• 46:30
  was
• 46:30
  running
• 46:30
  that
• 46:31
  trip,
• 46:31
  he
• 46:31
  said,
• 46:32
  did
• 46:32
  you
• 46:32
  see
• 46:33
  Sandy
• 46:33
  on
• 46:33
  your
• 46:33
  way
• 46:34
  in?
• 46:34
  And
• 46:34
  I
• 46:34
  said,
• 46:35
  who
• 46:36
  is
• 46:36
  that?
• 46:36
  She
• 46:36
  looks
• 46:37
  so
• 46:37
  familiar.
• 46:38
  It
• 46:39
  was
• 46:39
  Sandra
• 46:39
  Day
• 46:39
  O'Connor.
• 46:40
  She.
• 46:41
  She
• 46:41
  didn't
• 46:41
  have
• 46:42
  the
• 46:42
  lot.
• 46:43
  And
• 46:43
  he
• 46:43
  goes,
• 46:44
  you're.
• 46:44
  You're
• 46:44
  an
• 46:44
  idiot.
• 46:48
  Duh.
• 46:50
  But,
• 46:50
  yeah,
• 46:51
  friend
• 46:51
  of
• 46:51
  my
• 46:52
  mom's.
• 46:52
  Sure,
• 46:53
  Tim.
• 46:53
  There
• 46:54
  you
• 46:54
  go.
• 46:55
  So
• 46:55
  if
• 46:55
  folks
• 46:56
  want
• 46:56
  to
• 46:56
  get
• 46:56
  more
• 46:56
  information
• 46:57
  on
• 46:57
  your
• 46:57
  trips,
• 46:57
  Tim,
• 46:57
  where
• 46:58
  should
• 46:58
  they
• 46:58
  go?
• 47:00
  Just
• 47:00
  to.
• 47:01
  We
• 47:02
  have
• 47:02
  a
• 47:02
  website.
• 47:02
  It's
• 47:03
  not
• 47:03
  the
• 47:03
  greatest
• 47:03
  website
• 47:03
  in
• 47:04
  the
• 47:04
  world,
• 47:04
  but
• 47:05
  tightlinevideo.com
• 47:07
  and
• 47:07
  if
• 47:08
  nothing
• 47:08
  else,
• 47:08
  you
• 47:08
  can
• 47:08
  get
• 47:08
  an
• 47:09
  email
• 47:09
  address
• 47:10
  and
• 47:12
  get
• 47:12
  in
• 47:12
  touch
• 47:12
  with
• 47:12
  us
• 47:13
  through
• 47:13
  email.
• 47:14
  And
• 47:14
  you
• 47:14
  will
• 47:15
  most
• 47:15
  likely
• 47:16
  talk
• 47:16
  to
• 47:16
  my
• 47:16
  wife,
• 47:17
  Joan,
• 47:17
  rather
• 47:18
  than
• 47:18
  me.
• 47:18
  I'm
• 47:19
  kind
• 47:19
  of,
• 47:19
  as
• 47:20
  you
• 47:20
  mentioned,
• 47:20
  on
• 47:20
  the
• 47:20
  road
• 47:21
  a
• 47:21
  lot
• 47:21
  or
• 47:21
  out
• 47:21
  guiding
• 47:23
  and
• 47:23
  just
• 47:24
  not
• 47:24
  especially
• 47:24
  accessible.
• 47:27
  I'm
• 47:27
  also
• 47:27
  not
• 47:27
  really
• 47:28
  good
• 47:28
  with
• 47:28
  a
• 47:28
  calendar,
• 47:29
  as
• 47:29
  it
• 47:29
  turns
• 47:30
  out,
• 47:31
  and
• 47:32
  so
• 47:33
  they
• 47:33
  can
• 47:33
  talk
• 47:34
  to
• 47:34
  her
• 47:34
  and
• 47:35
  we'll.
• 47:35
  We'll
• 47:36
  get
• 47:36
  information
• 47:37
  out
• 47:37
  to
• 47:37
  you
• 47:38
  and.
• 47:39
  Or,
• 47:39
  you
• 47:40
  know,
• 47:40
  set
• 47:40
  up
• 47:40
  a
• 47:40
  zoom
• 47:40
  call
• 47:41
  if
• 47:41
  you're
• 47:41
  interested
• 47:42
  in
• 47:42
  that
• 47:43
  way
• 47:43
  we
• 47:43
  can
• 47:43
  show
• 47:43
  video
• 47:44
  or,
• 47:45
  you
• 47:45
  know,
• 47:45
  arrange
• 47:46
  to
• 47:46
  meet
• 47:46
  you
• 47:46
  at
• 47:46
  a
• 47:46
  fly
• 47:47
  fishing
• 47:47
  show.
• 47:48
  Whatever
• 47:48
  you
• 47:48
  need.
• 47:49
  Yeah,
• 47:49
  and
• 47:49
  I
• 47:49
  would
• 47:49
  imagine,
• 47:50
  too,
• 47:50
  because
• 47:50
  I
• 47:50
  kind
• 47:50
  of,
• 47:50
  you
• 47:50
  know,
• 47:51
  watch
• 47:51
  you
• 47:51
  kind
• 47:51
  of
• 47:52
  out
• 47:52
  of
• 47:52
  the
• 47:52
  corner
• 47:52
  of
• 47:52
  my.
• 47:52
  On
• 47:53
  social
• 47:53
  media,
• 47:53
  you
• 47:53
  probably
• 47:53
  are
• 47:54
  doing
• 47:54
  talks
• 47:54
  on
• 47:55
  the
• 47:55
  club
• 47:55
  circuit
• 47:55
  in
• 47:56
  New
• 47:56
  Jersey.
• 47:58
  Yeah,
• 47:58
  well,
• 47:59
  in
• 47:59
  New
• 47:59
  Jersey
• 47:59
  and
• 47:59
  elsewhere,
• 48:00
  you
• 48:00
  know,
• 48:01
  when
• 48:01
  I.
• 48:01
  When
• 48:02
  I
• 48:02
  travel,
• 48:03
  I.
• 48:03
  I'll
• 48:04
  often
• 48:04
  stop.
• 48:06
  Joan
• 48:06
  doesn't
• 48:07
  really
• 48:07
  let
• 48:07
  Me
• 48:07
  have
• 48:07
  a
• 48:07
  night
• 48:08
  off.
• 48:08
  I
• 48:08
  don't
• 48:08
  know
• 48:08
  what
• 48:09
  that's
• 48:09
  about.
• 48:10
  And
• 48:10
  so
• 48:11
  even
• 48:11
  if
• 48:11
  I'm
• 48:11
  on
• 48:11
  my
• 48:11
  way
• 48:12
  somewhere,
• 48:12
  you
• 48:12
  know,
• 48:13
  maybe
• 48:13
  out
• 48:13
  to
• 48:13
  fish
• 48:13
  the
• 48:14
  driftless,
• 48:15
  I'll
• 48:15
  have
• 48:15
  one
• 48:15
  or
• 48:16
  two
• 48:16
  talks
• 48:16
  that
• 48:16
  I,
• 48:17
  you
• 48:17
  know,
• 48:17
  give
• 48:18
  along
• 48:18
  the
• 48:18
  way.
• 48:19
  We
• 48:19
  did
• 48:20
  the
• 48:21
  tour
• 48:21
  out
• 48:21
  of
• 48:22
  the
• 48:22
  different
• 48:23
  clubs
• 48:23
  out
• 48:23
  in
• 48:24
  California
• 48:24
  this
• 48:24
  year.
• 48:25
  I
• 48:26
  think
• 48:26
  10
• 48:26
  different
• 48:27
  clubs.
• 48:27
  And
• 48:28
  so,
• 48:28
  yeah,
• 48:28
  we're,
• 48:29
  we're
• 48:29
  kind
• 48:29
  of
• 48:29
  all
• 48:29
  over
• 48:30
  the
• 48:30
  place
• 48:30
  doing
• 48:30
  presentations.
• 48:31
  Yeah.
• 48:32
  And
• 48:32
  I
• 48:32
  can't
• 48:32
  let
• 48:33
  you
• 48:33
  go
• 48:33
  without
• 48:33
  asking
• 48:34
  you
• 48:34
  to
• 48:34
  share
• 48:34
  your
• 48:35
  worst
• 48:35
  travel
• 48:36
  experience
• 48:36
  or
• 48:36
  disaster.
• 48:39
  Well,
• 48:40
  it,
• 48:41
  it
• 48:41
  starts
• 48:42
  even
• 48:42
  before
• 48:44
  I
• 48:44
  got
• 48:44
  there
• 48:45
  and
• 48:45
  it
• 48:45
  was
• 48:46
  my
• 48:46
  very
• 48:46
  first
• 48:47
  trip
• 48:47
  to
• 48:47
  Argentina.
• 48:49
  The
• 48:49
  folks
• 48:50
  at
• 48:50
  then
• 48:50
  Andy's
• 48:51
  Drifters
• 48:51
  had
• 48:51
  invited
• 48:52
  me
• 48:52
  down,
• 48:52
  graciously
• 48:53
  invited
• 48:54
  me
• 48:54
  down,
• 48:54
  and
• 48:55
  I
• 48:55
  had
• 48:55
  prepared
• 48:56
  everything.
• 48:57
  I
• 48:57
  mean,
• 48:59
  just
• 49:00
  researched,
• 49:01
  you
• 49:01
  know,
• 49:01
  little
• 49:02
  bit
• 49:02
  of
• 49:02
  video
• 49:03
  gear,
• 49:03
  fly
• 49:03
  fishing
• 49:04
  gear,
• 49:04
  all
• 49:04
  the
• 49:04
  stuff
• 49:04
  I
• 49:05
  needed
• 49:05
  for
• 49:05
  weather.
• 49:06
  And
• 49:07
  Joan
• 49:08
  took
• 49:08
  me
• 49:08
  to
• 49:09
  JFK
• 49:10
  airport
• 49:11
  and
• 49:12
  got
• 49:13
  brought
• 49:13
  everything
• 49:14
  up
• 49:14
  to
• 49:14
  the
• 49:14
  desk
• 49:15
  and
• 49:16
  went
• 49:16
  to
• 49:16
  check
• 49:17
  in
• 49:17
  for
• 49:17
  the
• 49:17
  flight.
• 49:18
  And
• 49:18
  my
• 49:18
  passport
• 49:19
  was
• 49:19
  six
• 49:20
  months
• 49:20
  out
• 49:20
  of
• 49:20
  date.
• 49:22
  Ooh.
• 49:24
  So
• 49:25
  in
• 49:25
  terms
• 49:26
  of
• 49:26
  travel
• 49:26
  nightmares,
• 49:27
  fortunately,
• 49:28
  again,
• 49:28
  the
• 49:28
  folks
• 49:29
  it
• 49:29
  set
• 49:29
  were
• 49:30
  incredibly
• 49:31
  gracious
• 49:32
  and
• 49:33
  let
• 49:33
  me
• 49:34
  hold
• 49:34
  off
• 49:34
  for
• 49:35
  a
• 49:35
  couple
• 49:35
  of
• 49:35
  days.
• 49:36
  I
• 49:37
  don't
• 49:37
  know
• 49:37
  how
• 49:37
  much
• 49:38
  money
• 49:38
  we
• 49:38
  end
• 49:38
  up
• 49:39
  spending
• 49:40
  getting
• 49:40
  an
• 49:40
  expedited
• 49:41
  passport
• 49:42
  and
• 49:42
  going
• 49:42
  into
• 49:43
  New
• 49:43
  York
• 49:43
  for
• 49:43
  a
• 49:44
  day
• 49:44
  and
• 49:45
  getting
• 49:45
  it
• 49:45
  at
• 49:45
  the
• 49:46
  passport
• 49:46
  office
• 49:47
  there.
• 49:47
  And
• 49:50
  it
• 49:50
  actually
• 49:50
  wasn't
• 49:51
  so
• 49:51
  bad.
• 49:51
  We
• 49:51
  got
• 49:51
  to
• 49:51
  eat
• 49:52
  some
• 49:52
  great
• 49:52
  pizza
• 49:52
  in
• 49:53
  New
• 49:53
  York
• 49:54
  and
• 49:55
  got
• 49:55
  the
• 49:55
  passport.
• 49:56
  But
• 49:56
  yeah,
• 49:57
  if
• 49:57
  you
• 49:57
  are
• 49:58
  traveling
• 49:58
  internationally,
• 49:59
  folks,
• 49:59
  check
• 50:00
  your
• 50:00
  passport.
• 50:01
  The
• 50:01
  other
• 50:01
  thing
• 50:01
  that
• 50:01
  we've
• 50:02
  heard
• 50:02
  is
• 50:02
  that
• 50:03
  even
• 50:03
  if
• 50:03
  your
• 50:04
  passport
• 50:04
  has
• 50:05
  got
• 50:05
  six
• 50:05
  months
• 50:05
  left
• 50:06
  on
• 50:06
  it,
• 50:06
  there
• 50:06
  are
• 50:06
  countries
• 50:07
  that
• 50:07
  will
• 50:07
  not
• 50:07
  let
• 50:08
  you
• 50:08
  in.
• 50:08
  You
• 50:09
  know,
• 50:10
  if
• 50:10
  you
• 50:10
  overstay,
• 50:11
  you're
• 50:11
  welcome,
• 50:11
  for
• 50:11
  example,
• 50:12
  and
• 50:12
  your
• 50:12
  passport
• 50:13
  expires.
• 50:14
  So,
• 50:15
  you
• 50:15
  know,
• 50:15
  get
• 50:16
  a
• 50:16
  new
• 50:16
  passport,
• 50:16
  even
• 50:17
  if
• 50:17
  there's
• 50:17
  six
• 50:18
  months
• 50:18
  left
• 50:18
  on
• 50:18
  the
• 50:18
  old
• 50:19
  one.
• 50:19
  Yeah.
• 50:19
  And
• 50:19
  then
• 50:20
  I
• 50:20
  would
• 50:20
  pile
• 50:20
  on
• 50:20
  and
• 50:21
  say,
• 50:21
  definitely
• 50:21
  buy
• 50:22
  the
• 50:22
  travel
• 50:22
  insurance
• 50:23
  and
• 50:23
  the,
• 50:23
  you
• 50:23
  know,
• 50:23
  in
• 50:24
  the
• 50:24
  health
• 50:24
  insurance
• 50:24
  too,
• 50:25
  right?
• 50:26
  Yep.
• 50:27
  Yeah.
• 50:27
  Especially,
• 50:27
  you
• 50:28
  know,
• 50:28
  Covid
• 50:28
  era
• 50:30
  things
• 50:30
  like
• 50:31
  that.
• 50:31
  It's
• 50:33
  the
• 50:33
  other
• 50:33
  thing
• 50:33
  is,
• 50:34
  you
• 50:34
  know,
• 50:34
  to
• 50:35
  communicate.
• 50:38
  Get
• 50:38
  a
• 50:38
  SIM
• 50:38
  card
• 50:39
  for
• 50:39
  your
• 50:39
  phone.
• 50:40
  That's
• 50:40
  a
• 50:41
  big
• 50:41
  one.
• 50:41
  Learn
• 50:41
  how
• 50:41

• 50:42
  use
• 50:42

• 50:43
  Amazing
• 50:45
  when
• 50:46
  you
• 50:46
  have
• 50:46
  Wi
• 50:46
  Fi,
• 50:47
  how
• 50:47
  clear
• 50:47
  and
• 50:48
  crisp
• 50:48
  it
• 50:48
  is,
• 50:48
  even
• 50:49
  on
• 50:49
  video
• 50:49
  calls.
• 50:51
  Yeah.
• 50:51
  There's
• 50:52
  a
• 50:52
  lot
• 50:52
  to
• 50:52
  learn
• 50:52
  about
• 50:53
  travel.
• 50:54
  Yeah.
• 50:54
  And
• 50:54
  so,
• 50:55
  Tim,
• 50:55
  before
• 50:55
  I
• 50:55
  let
• 50:55
  you
• 50:55
  go
• 50:55
  tonight,
• 50:56
  is
• 50:56
  there
• 50:56
  anything
• 50:56
  else
• 50:56
  you
• 50:57
  want
• 50:57
  to
• 50:57
  share
• 50:57
  with
• 50:57
  our
• 50:57
  listeners?
• 51:00
  No,
• 51:00
  just
• 51:01
  really
• 51:02
  watch
• 51:02
  for
• 51:02
  us
• 51:03
  at.
• 51:04
  We've
• 51:05
  got
• 51:05
  some
• 51:05
  new
• 51:05
  videos
• 51:06
  coming
• 51:06
  up.
• 51:07
  Some
• 51:07
  stuff
• 51:07
  that
• 51:08
  not
• 51:08
  just
• 51:08
  fly
• 51:09
  tying
• 51:09
  stuff
• 51:10
  on
• 51:10
  fly
• 51:10
  fishing
• 51:11
  as
• 51:11
  well.
• 51:13
  I
• 51:13
  will
• 51:13
  Be
• 51:14
  at
• 51:14
  the
• 51:15
  International
• 51:15
  Tying
• 51:16
  Symposium
• 51:16
  here
• 51:17
  in
• 51:17
  New
• 51:17
  Jersey
• 51:18
  in
• 51:18
  Somerset.
• 51:19
  Another
• 51:20
  month
• 51:20
  or
• 51:20
  so,
• 51:21
  I
• 51:21
  guess.
• 51:21
  Month
• 51:21
  and
• 51:21
  a
• 51:21
  half.
• 51:22
  And
• 51:23
  then
• 51:23
  Joan
• 51:24
  and
• 51:24
  I
• 51:24
  will
• 51:24
  be
• 51:25
  doing
• 51:25
  the
• 51:25
  whole
• 51:25
  fly
• 51:26
  fishing
• 51:26
  show
• 51:27
  circuit
• 51:27
  this
• 51:27
  winter.
• 51:28
  So
• 51:28
  from
• 51:28
  January
• 51:30
  all
• 51:30
  the
• 51:30
  way
• 51:30
  through
• 51:31
  to
• 51:31
  March.
• 51:32
  And
• 51:33
  then
• 51:33
  I
• 51:34
  just
• 51:34
  kind
• 51:35
  of
• 51:35
  am
• 51:35
  putting
• 51:36
  together
• 51:36
  the
• 51:36
  details
• 51:37
  now.
• 51:37
  I'll
• 51:37
  be
• 51:37
  down
• 51:38
  at
• 51:38
  the
• 51:38
  Saabug
• 51:39
  Roundup
• 51:39
  again
• 51:40
  this
• 51:40
  year,
• 51:40
  which
• 51:40
  was
• 51:40
  a
• 51:40
  ton
• 51:41
  of
• 51:41
  fun
• 51:41
  last
• 51:41
  year.
• 51:42
  Yeah,
• 51:42
  I
• 51:42
  just
• 51:42
  saw
• 51:43
  that
• 51:43
  email.
• 51:44
  Yeah.
• 51:44
  And
• 51:45
  this,
• 51:45
  this
• 51:45
  time
• 51:46
  I'm
• 51:46
  spending
• 51:46
  a
• 51:46
  couple
• 51:47
  extra
• 51:47
  days,
• 51:47
  Marvin.
• 51:48
  I'm
• 51:49
  gonna
• 51:49
  face
• 51:49
  down
• 51:49
  there
• 51:50
  on
• 51:50
  the
• 51:50
  Norfolk
• 51:50
  and
• 51:51
  on
• 51:51
  the
• 51:51
  White.
• 51:51
  Without
• 51:51
  a
• 51:52
  doubt
• 51:53
  that,
• 51:53
  that
• 51:54
  was
• 51:54
  pretty,
• 51:54
  pretty
• 51:55
  brutal
• 51:55
  going
• 51:56
  down
• 51:56
  there,
• 51:56
  you
• 51:57
  know,
• 51:57
  tying
• 51:57
  for
• 51:57
  a
• 51:57
  couple
• 51:58
  of
• 51:58
  days
• 51:58
  and
• 51:58
  going
• 51:59
  and
• 51:59
  seeing
• 51:59
  that
• 51:59
  water
• 52:00
  and
• 52:00
  not
• 52:00
  having
• 52:00
  time
• 52:01
  to
• 52:01
  fish.
• 52:01
  That's
• 52:02
  not
• 52:02
  gonna
• 52:02
  happen
• 52:03
  again.
• 52:03
  Yeah,
• 52:04
  that,
• 52:04
  that
• 52:04
  sounds
• 52:04
  like
• 52:04
  a
• 52:05
  good
• 52:05
  call.
• 52:05
  And
• 52:06
  so.
• 52:06
  So
• 52:06
  Tim,
• 52:06
  if
• 52:06
  folks
• 52:07
  want
• 52:07
  to
• 52:07
  follow
• 52:07
  your
• 52:07
  adventures
• 52:08
  kind
• 52:08
  of
• 52:08
  at
• 52:08
  the
• 52:09
  vice,
• 52:09
  you
• 52:10
  know,
• 52:10
  on
• 52:10
  the
• 52:10
  road
• 52:10
  and
• 52:11
  on
• 52:11
  the
• 52:11
  water,
• 52:11
  where
• 52:11
  should
• 52:11
  they
• 52:12
  go?
• 52:13
  Well,
• 52:14
  Instagram
• 52:14
  and
• 52:15
  Facebook.
• 52:15
  Unfortunately
• 52:16
  our
• 52:16
  Instagram
• 52:17
  account
• 52:18
  got
• 52:18
  hacked
• 52:20
  about
• 52:20
  a
• 52:20
  month
• 52:20
  and
• 52:20
  a
• 52:20
  half,
• 52:21
  two
• 52:21
  months
• 52:21
  ago
• 52:22
  and
• 52:22
  we
• 52:22
  totally
• 52:23
  lost
• 52:23
  the
• 52:23
  account
• 52:24
  and
• 52:24
  you
• 52:24
  know,
• 52:25
  100.
• 52:26
  I
• 52:27
  don't
• 52:27
  know
• 52:27
  how
• 52:27
  many,
• 52:28
  how
• 52:28
  many
• 52:29
  followers.
• 52:29
  Followers
• 52:30
  we
• 52:30
  had
• 52:30
  that
• 52:30
  we
• 52:31
  lost.
• 52:31
  So
• 52:32
  if
• 52:32
  you
• 52:32
  haven't
• 52:32
  heard
• 52:33
  from
• 52:33
  me
• 52:33
  on
• 52:34
  Instagram,
• 52:35
  you
• 52:36
  can
• 52:36
  find
• 52:36
  me
• 52:36
  on
• 52:37
  Instagram
• 52:37
  now.
• 52:39
  I
• 52:39
  believe
• 52:39
  the
• 52:40
  new
• 52:40
  one
• 52:40
  is
• 52:40
  Tightline
• 52:41
  video.
• 52:41
  I
• 52:42
  hope
• 52:42
  that's
• 52:42
  right.
• 52:44
  And
• 52:44
  Facebook
• 52:45
  is.
• 52:45
  Has
• 52:45
  been
• 52:45
  the
• 52:46
  same
• 52:46
  all
• 52:46
  the
• 52:46
  way
• 52:46
  through.
• 52:47
  Also
• 52:47
  on
• 52:48
  YouTube
• 52:48
  to
• 52:48
  find
• 52:48
  the
• 52:49
  time
• 52:49
  videos
• 52:50
  where
• 52:51
  just.
• 52:51
  You
• 52:51
  can
• 52:52
  search
• 52:52
  on
• 52:52
  YouTube
• 52:52
  tightline
• 52:53
  video.
• 52:54
  It
• 52:54
  will
• 52:54
  get
• 52:54
  them
• 52:55
  all.
• 52:56
  All
• 52:56
  the
• 52:56
  videos
• 52:56
  are
• 52:57
  also
• 52:57
  available
• 52:58
  on
• 52:58
  the
• 52:59
  Orbis
• 52:59
  in
• 53:00
  the
• 53:00
  Orbis
• 53:00
  fly
• 53:00
  fishing
• 53:01
  library
• 53:02
  as
• 53:03
  well
• 53:03
  as
• 53:03
  the
• 53:03
  mid
• 53:03
  current
• 53:04
  fly
• 53:05
  tying
• 53:05
  library.
• 53:06
  So
• 53:07
  quite
• 53:07
  a
• 53:07
  few
• 53:08
  different
• 53:08
  places
• 53:09
  and
• 53:09
  even
• 53:09
  on
• 53:10
  the
• 53:10
  Trout
• 53:11
  Unlimited
• 53:11
  national
• 53:12
  website.
• 53:13
  And
• 53:14
  I
• 53:14
  will
• 53:14
  drop
• 53:14
  links
• 53:15
  to
• 53:15
  all
• 53:15
  that
• 53:15
  stuff
• 53:15
  in
• 53:15
  the
• 53:15
  show
• 53:16
  notes
• 53:16
  for
• 53:16
  you.
• 53:17
  Oh,
• 53:18
  super.
• 53:18
  Marvin
• 53:19
  would
• 53:19
  appreciate
• 53:19
  that.
• 53:20
  Yeah.
• 53:21
  That
• 53:21
  losing
• 53:22
  that
• 53:22
  Instagram
• 53:22
  was
• 53:22
  a
• 53:23
  kind
• 53:23
  of
• 53:23
  a.
• 53:24
  It
• 53:25
  makes
• 53:25
  you
• 53:25
  realize
• 53:25
  how
• 53:26
  vulnerable
• 53:26
  you
• 53:26
  are
• 53:26
  with
• 53:27
  stuff
• 53:27
  like
• 53:27
  that.
• 53:28
  Yeah,
• 53:28
  it's
• 53:28
  interesting.
• 53:29
  I
• 53:29
  think
• 53:29
  I
• 53:29
  told
• 53:29
  you,
• 53:29
  you
• 53:30
  know,
• 53:30
  that
• 53:30
  happened
• 53:30
  to
• 53:30
  Tom
• 53:31
  at
• 53:31
  the
• 53:31
  Drake
• 53:32
  and
• 53:32
  yeah,
• 53:33
  luckily
• 53:34
  he
• 53:34
  was
• 53:34
  able
• 53:34
  to.
• 53:36
  I
• 53:36
  think
• 53:36
  it
• 53:36
  was
• 53:36
  Cameron
• 53:37
  Mortenson
• 53:37
  at
• 53:37
  the
• 53:37
  Fiberglass
• 53:38
  Manifesto.
• 53:38
  He's
• 53:39
  in
• 53:39
  law
• 53:39
  enforcement
• 53:39
  in
• 53:39
  South
• 53:40
  Carolina
• 53:40
  and
• 53:40
  he
• 53:40
  was
• 53:40
  able
• 53:41
  to
• 53:41
  help
• 53:41
  them
• 53:42
  find
• 53:42
  a
• 53:42
  solution.
• 53:42
  But
• 53:42
  I
• 53:43
  know
• 53:43
  you
• 53:43
  weren't
• 53:43
  quite
• 53:43
  so
• 53:44
  lucky.
• 53:45
  Yeah,
• 53:46
  yeah.
• 53:46
  And
• 53:46
  you,
• 53:46
  you
• 53:46
  realize
• 53:47
  how
• 53:47
  much
• 53:47
  work
• 53:48
  it
• 53:48
  was,
• 53:48
  you
• 53:48
  know,
• 53:49
  generating
• 53:49
  that
• 53:50
  following
• 53:50
  and
• 53:50
  then
• 53:50
  all
• 53:51
  of
• 53:51
  us,
• 53:51
  I
• 53:51
  mean,
• 53:51
  in
• 53:51
  the
• 53:52
  blink
• 53:52
  it's
• 53:52
  gone.
• 53:53
  And
• 53:53
  so
• 53:54
  yeah,
• 53:55
  just
• 53:55
  be
• 53:55
  careful
• 53:56
  out
• 53:56
  there,
• 53:56
  guys.
• 53:56
  Don't,
• 53:57
  don't
• 53:57
  click
• 53:57
  those
• 53:58
  funny
• 53:58
  links.
• 53:58
  Yeah.
• 53:59
  And
• 53:59
  back
• 53:59
  up
• 54:00
  your
• 54:00
  data.
• 54:00
  3,
• 54:00
  2,
• 54:00
  1.
• 54:01
  I'll
• 54:01
  say
• 54:01
  that
• 54:01
  too.
• 54:02
  Yeah.
• 54:03
  And
• 54:04
  so
• 54:04
  before
• 54:04
  I
• 54:04
  let
• 54:05
  you
• 54:05
  go,
• 54:05
  Tim,
• 54:05
  how
• 54:05
  many
• 54:06
  flies
• 54:06
  have
• 54:06
  you
• 54:06
  tied?
• 54:12
  9
• 54:12
  Since
• 54:13
  we
• 54:13
  started,
• 54:14
  but
• 54:15
  I
• 54:15
  haven't
• 54:16
  been
• 54:16
  tying
• 54:16
  very
• 54:16
  fast,
• 54:17
  so.
• 54:19
  It'S.
• 54:20
  It's
• 54:20
  all
• 54:20
  good.
• 54:20
  It
• 54:20
  sounds
• 54:21
  like,
• 54:21
  Sounds
• 54:21
  like
• 54:21
  maybe
• 54:22
  they
• 54:22
  have
• 54:22
  a
• 54:22
  bead
• 54:22
  on
• 54:22
  them,
• 54:22
  right?
• 54:24
  They.
• 54:24
  They
• 54:24
  do,
• 54:24
  yeah.
• 54:25
  It's
• 54:25
  just
• 54:25
  it.
• 54:25
  It's
• 54:26
  a
• 54:26
  bead
• 54:26
  in
• 54:26
  three
• 54:26
  turns
• 54:27
  of
• 54:27
  the
• 54:27
  egg
• 54:28
  static.
• 54:29
  And
• 54:30
  I've
• 54:30
  got
• 54:30
  yellow,
• 54:30
  orange
• 54:31
  and
• 54:31
  kind
• 54:31
  of
• 54:31
  a
• 54:31
  pinky
• 54:32
  color
• 54:32
  done
• 54:32
  now.
• 54:32
  So
• 54:34
  yeah,
• 54:34
  three
• 54:35
  each.
• 54:36
  It's
• 54:36
  such
• 54:36
  an
• 54:36
  effective
