- 0:16If he says he's serious about something, he means it.
- 0:19It's time for the truth be told with Booker Scott.
- 0:23The No Kings protests over the weekend look to me like there were a lot more people attending now than there were earlier in the year.
- 0:31What does that mean?
- 0:32Do the Democrats have momentum going into the November midterm?
- 0:36I'm not sure.
- 0:37I'm Booker.
- 0:38This is the Truth Be Told.
- 0:40And as always on Mondays, we have Matt Palumbo.
- 0:42Matt, welcome back into the program.
- 0:44Great to have you.
- 0:45Good to be back as always.
- 0:47Did you pay attention to the No Kings protests over the weekend?
- 0:50Well, I woke up this morning and noticed that we don't have a king.
- 0:54So I guess they were successful.
- 0:55Yeah, it's odd to me that these people that are doing this don't even realize that if we had a king, they couldn't be doing what they're doing.
- 1:03But concerning to me is the amount of people that were there.
- 1:07There were over 3100 of these No Kings protests across the country.
- 1:11And it to me it looked like they're far more organized than they were last March when they had the first ones.
- 1:17We talked about it then.
- 1:18Yeah, and I it honestly did surprise me because I believe this is a third one.
- 1:22And they just kind of repeat the same protests every month, and I would have assumed it would have went the other direction.
- 1:28We're just kind of fizzled out, but there does seem to be a lot of enthusiasm coming from the left.
- 1:34Um there are a lot of um and also this is you know the the worst news is that independents do seem to be breaking left by significant margins, and that there were some special elections recently in Florida that I think we'll talk about where, you know, Republicans had, you know, let's say a five to ten point advantage and registration, and they were turning out.
- 1:56It's just that the independents were breaking Democrat by a very, very large margin enough to out to outweigh that.
- 2:02So it it definitely is not, you know, great news to see.
- 2:05Um I hate to be saying this, but I think we need to be realistic in terms of you know where things are trending.
- 2:11Well, you and I both are very negative when it comes to the House of Representatives in the November midterm.
- 2:18We both say the same thing, though.
- 2:19There's a lot of time between now and then, things can change, people can get activated.
- 2:24They need to have some sort of fear, I believe.
- 2:27There's nothing to energize the base on the right right now, and I've said this a lot, Matt, when it comes down to it over the last four or five election cycles, it's been the border and it's been abortion.
- 2:38And both of those things have really been solved.
- 2:42And now we have uh DHS is still no longer funded.
- 2:45The Senate came together with something, the House quickly rejected it, and then they go on vacation for two weeks.
- 2:52Yeah, and they're calling a Republican shutdown when every single Democrat is voted to keep a government shut down and every Republican to keep it open.
- 3:00So um, and that though, that that they're a delusional narrative framing still doesn't seem to matter, though, because the mainstream media will just pick it up and spread it, and then the sort of normy ish, low information voters just buy it up.
- 3:12So um, you know, they're very depressing to see.
- 3:14And a lot of the no kings things like I'll I I'll at least give them credit for not being, you know, as crazy and violent as the antifa people.
- 3:23Yeah, but you look at the interviews with with them, and they they really don't have any idea what's going on.
- 3:28Like it it is like we're living in two different realities.
- 3:31Uh yeah, correct.
- 3:32They are very low information.
- 3:34They only get their news from one source.
- 3:37We know what that source is, and it's not very good for actually delivering the truth and what is really happening, and that's the world that they live in, and it's two different worlds.
- 3:46And I've got a clip from Corey Booker where he addressed that, and I'll get to that in a few minutes.
- 3:52I think he's running for president.
- 3:54I think that's what this clip is about.
- 3:55Oh, God.
- 3:56But let's go to this clip because this is a reporter asking Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday, something that I believe all of us feel, regardless of whether we're Democrat, Republican, or independent.
- 4:07I think we all feel the way this reporter felt when he asked this question.
- 4:11The American people are just sick and tired of everyone, both Republicans and Democrats come to this podium and blaming every time.
- 4:18People have been standing in lines three, four or five months at the time.
- 4:21There are TSA workers that are selling their plasma.
- 4:24At what point is a leader on either side going to stand up and say, we have a path forward that everyone will agree to.
- 4:31This vote today will extend the shutdown under any circumstance.
- 4:34No won't.
- 4:34No, it won't.
- 4:35And it didn't.
- 4:36And I think that question was spot on.
- 4:39Everybody is sick of these Republicans and the Democrats coming to the podium and pointing the finger the other way.
- 4:46We need solutions.
- 4:48We have uh Department of Homeland Security that is shut down.
- 4:51The only part of the government that is shut down now, which by the way, it's the longest government shutdown in American history, over 44 days now.
- 4:59Uh TSA did get paid on Monday thanks to Donald Trump doing an executive order.
- 5:04That's their first paycheck in a long time.
- 5:07In fact, since the government shut down last November, they have not been paid more than they have been paid.
- 5:14And if you pay attention to the people calling in sick and not working in uh these airports across the country, the numbers are phenomenal.
- 5:23Twenty-five, thirty percent are calling in every day, and they're not going to work when we have a war with the world's largest terrorist state in Iran going on right now over in the Middle East.
- 5:35We're very vulnerable, and the people that we need to protect us on the planes are not going to work.
- 5:41And I I put out a post over the weekend about this, and I I really just said, you know, after COVID and we started flying again, that TSA was deemed essential workers, and they are essential every day, but somehow we can't even pay them and take care of them.
- 5:57It's time to take care of them, Matt.
- 6:00Yeah.
- 6:00Um I'm I'm tore on the TSA in that they are obviously essential and should be getting paid, but it is one part of government I think would function way better if it was privatized.
- 6:13Um in that, like I there are I think 70 or so airports in the U.S.
- 6:17that have privatized airport security, and it runs way faster than TSA does.
- 6:23So I know it's kind of a separate discussion.
- 6:25Obviously, I'm I'm pro uh, you know, funding those and paying those who are currently working, but I do think the whole system needs an overhaul, though.
- 6:31Not not like this is gonna lead to that or anything, but I thought it was worth noting.
- 6:35Have you heard uh Representative John or Jim Banks?
- 6:38I'm sorry, Representative Jim Banks of Indiana.
- 6:41I think the guy should be out front a whole lot more for the Republicans.
- 6:45Here's what he had to say on this government shutdown and about the Democrats.
- 6:50If you're in an airport and you see these long lines, you bet you better be uh you better know.
- 6:55I think most of them do know it's Democrats and Chuck Schumer that are causing the long lines at airports, and it's because they hate ICE officers.
- 7:03They they don't just want to defund the police, they want to eliminate ICE and the federal law enforcement that's that's deep porting violent criminals off of our streets.
- 7:12I mean, this is wild if you think about it that that's Democrats' top priority.
- 7:16They they want to tie President's President Trump's hands in Iran to take out uh terrorists.
- 7:21We're in the big we're in a fight with the biggest uh state sponsor of terrorism in the world, and at the same time the Democrats have shut down the Department of Homeland Security at home, which makes us less safe.
- 7:32So that that's the Democrats' priority.
- 7:34Yesterday as well on the Save America Act, these crazy Democrats, every single one of them voted against a bill to keep boys out of girls' sports.
- 7:42I mean, that's so radical and crazy the Democrats are.
- 7:45I hope we can get Department of Homeland Security reopen this week because you have so many families who are traveling over spring break.
- 7:52You see these long lines, it's going to affect a lot of people, but it's the Democrats.
- 7:56And there is more finger pointing there from Jim Banks.
- 8:00But I think we are paying way too much attention to the noise.
- 8:04I see this on social media, and I think it's reflected in the way that people are not going to vote when you're a Republican.
- 8:12And that's what has cost us many races all the way back to November.
- 8:16We've talked about it, and you mentioned those Florida races.
- 8:19Let's talk about that right now because you had uh the the representative for the area of Mar-a-Lago that actually flipped to a Democrat, and this was a couple of weeks ago, and then there was another race for state Senate in Tampa area where I am, and that was also a flipped from a Democrat to the Republican.
- 8:38You see this repeatedly in all of these races, Republicans are not going to vote.
- 8:43I think a part of it, Matt, is that we're too caught up in all of the noise and the noise being things like the Epstein files, things like uh whether we should be in Iran or not.
- 8:54Those things, and you know, Donald Trump, he did say that we're not gonna have any more foreign wars.
- 9:00I think this is an offensive measure, and we're gonna talk about Iran in the second segment, but I believe it's an offensive measure so that we don't have to be defensive later.
- 9:08That's the way I see this.
- 9:09But I I think it's a lot of noise.
- 9:11I think if you go back 15, 16 months ago, Donald Trump is 14 months into his 47th presidency.
- 9:17If you go back then and I tell you that in a year, Donald Trump will have completely shut down the border, not allowing any illegal immigrants in for nine months in a row.
- 9:29And if prior to the government shutdown last year, GDP was at 4.3%.
- 9:34Wage growth was out, uh it was much higher than inflation.
- 9:38Inflation was steady at about two point seven percent.
- 9:40When the top two things in the election of 2024 in November were the border and the economy, everybody would be ecstatic about the job that Donald Trump had done at that point.
- 9:51And because of the Epstein files, because of Iran, because of all of these other things, which I call noise, we're not paying attention to the fact that.
- 10:00If we lose this election in November, the Senate and the House, the House doesn't look good, the Senate's questionable.
- 10:07And then in 28, we lose the presidency, and they have all of them.
- 10:11We're going to get everything that we don't want.
- 10:13And that's the fight that we're in.
- 10:15We're we're against vaccine mandates.
- 10:18Remember, they wanted to do that.
- 10:19They wanted to censor your speech with a misinformation board.
- 10:23All of that's going to be coming back.
- 10:25So by listening to the noise and not going to vote, we're costing ourselves and we're creating the very thing that we don't want or don't need in this country.
- 10:36Yeah, the thing people have to realize is like consider the counterfactual.
- 10:40Like if you're the position where you say, okay, we'd apported, let's say a million people last year.
- 10:45I think it should have been three or four million or whatever.
- 10:47Oh, okay, obviously everyone wants the number to be higher.
- 10:50But if Biden was still in office, we were taking in at least two million a year.
- 10:56So that's a difference of three million illegals per year.
- 10:59That's a difference that basically one percent of the entire population increasing just because of illegal aliens every year.
- 11:05It's a massive difference.
- 11:06And you know, that that's gonna compound over decades and so on and so forth.
- 11:11So, you know, just remember that despite that, you know, any um things you didn't you might not be happy about with Trump.
- 11:18It would be so much worse if the Democrats were in power.
- 11:21And it is sad that voters' attention span seems to be, you know, like the past week or so, but that's kind of where we're at.
- 11:27Uh when it comes to Iran, um, I agree.
- 11:31I I do think it is a temporary offensive measure to you know ended up saving us money, time, lives in the future.
- 11:38Obviously, Iran does want to be nuclear power despite um some liberals who bizarre deny that.
- 11:44Um but I do think the talk of boots on the ground and you know 200 billion dollars to fight is is gonna scare a lot of people.
- 11:52Yeah, it has.
- 11:53And I want to get into the boots on the ground here in the second segment.
- 11:56I want to get in dive into deeper into that.
- 11:59But I'm more concerned about this midterm election and the way people are really not paying attention to what's most important.
- 12:06Because what is most important is to keep us from going back to where we were when Joe Biden allowed 10 to 15 million illegals into this country when he tried to censor our speech when he worked with big tech to do that.
- 12:19Those are the things that we don't want to go back to that we can't go back to.
- 12:24We just can't.
- 12:25And if we don't energize ourselves to go out and vote, then that's exactly what we're going to get, unfortunately.
- 12:32And we have to remember that.
- 12:34That's uh we we have to remember how bad it was coming through those four years, and I think we're losing focus.
- 12:41And I don't know that the RNC and the GOP really has a good ground game.
- 12:45It doesn't seem to me like they do.
- 12:47I spoke to the head of the RNC this last week, Joe Gruders.
- 12:51I speak to him quite frequently.
- 12:53We send messages back and forth.
- 12:54I'm not convinced that they have anything in place to make a difference.
- 12:59I think uh, you know, going back to Susie Wiles and Donald Trump and what they talked about probably two months ago.
- 13:05Her big plan is to get Donald Trump out on the trail.
- 13:09And I just don't I just don't think it's enough, though.
- 13:12You know, it it has to be more than about a man in rallies, it needs to be about substance.
- 13:17Well, it it should be more, but it's you know what when Trump is on the ballot, Republicans do do a lot better, and that is a mobilizing force for the right.
- 13:25I mean, a lot of the people that voted to for Trump in 2024 that pushed him across the line were people who were a lot of them were not Republicans, they're people who just liked Trump.
- 13:34I mean, I think Trump is the only Republican in history to get more than 50 percent of a minority uh racial demographics vote.
- 13:44He got Hispanic men by I think 52 percent.
- 13:46And yeah, it's a group that normally goes 60, 70 percent Democrats.
- 13:50So there is there are like unique attributes of Trump where people who normally would not vote Republican will only vote for him.
- 13:57So he he definitely does help to get him out.
- 13:59But yes, I I agree.
- 14:00We want to be um ideally, we want our ideology to be winning.
- 14:03It makes the job a lot easier.
- 14:05And when it comes to the RNC versus DNC, the fact that I think it's like 80 or 90 percent right now that Democrats are favored to take back the House, but the RNC has I I think it's over a hundred million dollars of cash on hand.
- 14:20If it's not over a hundred million, it's a high, you know, tens of millions.
- 14:24The DNC, I believe, is actually in debt and has very lower.
- 14:27Yeah, they're broke on hand.
- 14:28Yeah, they're broke.
- 14:28Yeah, they're broke and they're still beating us.
- 14:30So I I you know, I don't know if they're they're planning on spending any of the money anytime soon, but uh, I think it would probably be a help at this exact moment.
- 14:39Do you think Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson and the divide that they are creating will also have an effect on it?
- 14:46Because I see that on social media, and I know that social media is a completely different thing than the real world.
- 14:52But I also wonder if in the real world people are just tired of it, like that reporter asked Mike Johnson.
- 14:59Why do you keep blaming each other coming to this podium, Democrats and Republicans saying the same thing?
- 15:05I think the populace, they're just tired of it.
- 15:07And maybe that's the case with the Republicans not showing up.
- 15:10But I think Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, they do have some responsibility in what we're seeing.
- 15:16Uh yeah, I mean, I hate the I hate people who think everything is a psy-op, but it does feel like a psy-off that all these people in unison are are pushing basically the exact same narratives about Trump and sort of encouraging Republicans to stay home and public they're pushing the sort of like third worldist uh propaganda, whereas I I don't know if they actually are being paid off, but it wouldn't surprise me if they are.
- 15:40Um, when it comes to you know, internet versus real life, uh I know Tucker had that guy and and he's running for governor of Florida.
- 15:48I think his last name is Fishback on his show to promote him.
- 15:52And I think within a week of the interview, his campaign raised like a thousand dollars or something.
- 15:57So, you know, that that would lead you to believe the internet certainly is not real life.
- 16:02Although I will say, uh I you know, speaking from people I know in real life, the I right the Iran strike for a lot of people that I know did seem to be sort of a breaking point of okay, now I'm disappointed in Trump.
- 16:19Um now I'm not gonna turn up for the midterms.
- 16:21Um, although you know, I'm talking about a number of people I can count on two hands, but I will say that is the only real thing I've seen that has caused people to detract from Trump.
- 16:30And that just happened.
- 16:32We are now into the second month, and these elections that we're talking about, they go back to November.
- 16:37November in Virginia and New Jersey.
- 16:39Yeah, that's where all this started, where the Republicans were not showing up to vote.
- 16:44Now add on top of that what you just mentioned about Iran striking or America striking Iran and Donald Trump making that decision.
- 16:51The gas prices are up to four dollars on average now, and that is what people are concerned about.
- 16:57I want to go back to the area of Palm Beach County, Florida, Mar-A Lago.
- 17:02We mentioned that uh race that took place a couple of weeks ago.
- 17:04Well, a volunteer who participated in a training session at the Palm Beak County at the Palm Beach County supervisor of elections office was arrested Sunday morning.
- 17:14His name was John Peniche, and he was taken into custody on the 28th of March following an investigation into the theft of an encrypted access key from a voter registration terminal at the elections office.
- 17:27Now, the incident occurred during a volunteer training session on March 19th, which was five days before that election, that special election that the Democrat won.
- 17:37According to the detectives, Peniche stole the encrypted access key during the training at the elections office on Cherry Road there in Palm Beach.
- 17:47And so they tell us that there's none of this going on, yet this guy got arrested.
- 17:52I don't think it had anything to do with this election because that access key was only for training.
- 17:57However, they say with that access key, somebody could reverse engineer to be able to gain access to the electronics on election day.
- 18:06Yeah, so it would with this access, could he change the vote totals manually?
- 18:10Like is that kind of the conclusion of what he could do?
- 18:13But if so, then uh Democrats are something up their sleeve after we get voter ID.
- 18:17Right.
- 18:17And this was something that uh that took place in a uh election that was at one by eight hundred votes by the Democrats.
- 18:24But it was not for this election, it was a training access key.
- 18:27The point they're making is that he that somebody with technical uh knowledge could reverse engineer to do exactly what you just said.
- 18:35I mentioned Corey Booker.
- 18:37Let's let's go to him.
- 18:38He's a senator from New Jersey, a Democrat, and it typically he's full of it, and he is really full of it on this one.
- 18:45But it sounds to me like he's setting up a run for the president.
- 18:48Here he is.
- 18:50Look, I'm I'm proud of so many things that my democratic colleagues are doing, but as a whole, our party has failed this moment.
- 18:56It's why I've called for new leadership in America.
- 18:59I've called for a generational renewal because this left-right divide is killing our country and our adversaries know it.
- 19:06They come onto our social media and try to whip up hate in America.
- 19:10That is one of our biggest crises.
- 19:12It is time for a new vision of our country that's far more uniting, that brings people together, doesn't deepen divides.
- 19:19I really believe this is a time where we need new leadership, new moral imagination to pull our country together because the challenges on the horizon aren't just this current crisis that Trump has caused.
- 19:31He shouldn't be the main character of our narrative right now.
- 19:34We have real challenges from new technologies like AI and robotics, new challenges that we need more unity in our country and a reminder that we are not each other's enemies.
- 19:43In fact, our ability to find common ground has always been our greatest hope.
- 19:48I think he made a point there that I want to go back to, and that is the Democrat Party has to quit blaming and putting everything at Donald Trump because Donald Trump's not going to be around forever.
- 20:00And that strategy is going to be worthless for them in the future unless they stand for something, and they really don't.
- 20:06And everything else that Corey Booker said is just bull.
- 20:10Yeah, I agree.
- 20:10The Democrats probably need new leadership, which means no one who's even remotely like Corey Booker or anyone currently in the party.
- 20:18Um, so I guess uh I can't offer any suggestions there.
- 20:22Um I was gonna say next.
- 20:25Um, the common ground thing.
- 20:27Yeah, I I'm all for common ground with people who have shared morals with me, but maybe have a different approach for how to get there.
- 20:35Um, that is not the divide we have in this country right now.
- 20:38Uh the people who want to generally mutilate uh toddler's name of transgenderism and have men fighting against women and want to push anti-white propaganda and racial quotas and racial hysteria, like I I actually don't want to find common ground with them.
- 20:54Like there are certain people in politics that we should just defeat uh straight up.
- 20:58I mean, I'm sure, you know, uh when it comes to sane democrats over many are left, yeah, sure I'll do that or the so-called moderates if they exist, but uh uh most of the people on the left, uh, you know, the types like Corey Booker, the sort of like theater kid types who are always uh you always see on social media who are clearly just trying to get a soundbite.
- 21:17Like I would actually prefer to not have to work with them.
- 21:20So I guess I disagree on that.
- 21:21Yeah, no, I agree with you on that.
- 21:23We're gonna have uh more of this conversation continue in just a minute.
- 21:27Let's talk about Iran.

- 24:24You can find all of those at Amazon.
- 24:26Just put Matt Palumbo's name in the search bar, and those books will come up.
- 24:30Matt, well, let's uh change the conversation into Iran.
- 24:34We got into it a little bit in the first segment.
- 24:36But as you mentioned, people are not happy about the boots on the ground thing.
- 24:40And what are you hearing there?
- 24:42Uh well, not much beyond the headlines, unfortunately.
- 24:45I'm hoping it's not a serious proposal or something that's just a rumor because you know, once we put boots on the ground, it it it you know, however long you think it's gonna last is probably gonna last 10 times longer than that at least.
- 24:58So I think that would be a sort of point of no return, even if it's pitched as a sort of brief thing.
- 25:04So that has me very, very concerned.
- 25:06You know, at first when it's just we're gonna wipe out leadership and then hope the public sort of rises up.
- 25:11I was much more on board with it.
- 25:13This is uh much more objectionable.
- 25:14Well, I know, and I think it's a narrative.
- 25:17Everybody loves talking about boots on the ground, but let's take this thing and look at it objectively.
- 25:25In the Iranian military, between the reservist and the um full-time military, you have 950,000 members.
- 25:34Right now, America has about 5,000 Marines that have made their way to the area, and there's talk of the 82nd Airborne having 3,000 on standby.
- 25:44That's 8,000.
- 25:46If there is any type of boots on the ground, it is nothing like what people fear.
- 25:53It may be some special operations.
- 25:55It may be that they're going to go to some islands to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open, but it's not gonna be a ground war game.
- 26:04It just doesn't make sense.
- 26:05I mentioned this last week with you that back in Desert Shield and then Desert Storm, it took months to build up the force that was in Saudi Arabia, which was 500,000 Americans.
- 26:17Right.
- 26:18That that is a real ground war.
- 26:20And I guess people your age, they don't remember that, or they don't know the history and for and none of that is taking place right now.
- 26:28And back when it did, uh when that did happen in 91, it was on the news every night because everybody knew somebody that was being called up.
- 26:36And it was a big deal because it had been 25 years since Vietnam at the time.
- 26:41So you know, it that's not happening.
- 26:44That's not what we're seeing here.
- 26:45It's a narrative, and it's part of that noise that I was talking about in that first segment.
- 26:50And people are falling for it.
- 26:52It's you can't do anything with 8,000 people.
- 26:54And by the way, how many are stationed in Europe right now?
- 26:57Somewhere between 80 and 100,000.
- 26:59By the way, two years ago, we moved 20,000 U.S.
- 27:03troops right in the Poland Ukraine border.
- 27:06And people don't talk about that.
- 27:07But it happened, and I don't think 8,000 is going to do anything other than maybe a special operation, maybe hopping on an island and uh helping to open the street of Hormoes, which needs to be done.
- 27:20We're at $4 a gallon of gas now.
- 27:23And you know, we have this negotiation going on, and I've spent time on it on the show without you, and we talked about it last week.
- 27:32I'm not sure.
- 27:32I I guess last week when we did our show, we were still under that 48 hours, and now we've extended it.
- 27:37Donald Trump has to 10 days of more negotiating.
- 27:40And there's 15 points of the framework for America.
- 27:43There are three big things that I don't necessarily agree with that Iran would get, at least in what has been at leaked.
- 27:50And I have you seen those, Matt.
- 27:52Uh, educate me.
- 27:54Okay, well, one of one of them is all the sanctions are lifted.
- 27:57And that's bothersome.
- 27:59And of course, they can throw it back on.
- 28:01And another part of it is they're gonna remove the snap back, which the snapback was part of Obama's negotiation that if Iran stepped over the line, didn't do what they were supposed to be doing, then it snapped back to all the sanctions back into place.
- 28:15So that is what's being leaked as part of the negotiation.
- 28:18Meanwhile, Donald Trump negotiated with them prior to last June when we went after the nuclear sites.
- 28:25He did the same thing, and they kept lying.
- 28:27And they're lying again this time.
- 28:30That's what Iran does, and they are aggressively going after Arab nations.
- 28:34And I see a lot of conversation about, well, it's a regional war now.
- 28:38It still is not a regional war.
- 28:41Do you see it as a regional war?
- 28:42Because I don't.
- 28:44Well, I mean, technically it's not a war just yet.
- 28:46I I guess it's sort of in a preliminary stage, depending on how it goes.
- 28:50So no, I guess I don't see it that way yet.
- 28:52Um, I'm not sure what I'm saying.
- 28:55Let me say the Houthis jumped in from Yemen over the weekend.
- 28:59And so some of the people talking on television on Sunday were talking about this is no doubt a regional war.
- 29:05I would push back and say it isn't.
- 29:07It's Iran against everybody else.
- 29:09Yeah.
- 29:10Just because Hezbollah and Lebanon is bombing Israel, and you have the Houthis in Yemen bombing Israel and other places, it means nothing because they are proxies of Iran.
- 29:21That has been the problem from the beginning.
- 29:23They are not other nations in a regional conflict.
- 29:26All the other nations around Iran are against Iran.
- 29:29So this is not a regional conflict or a regional war.
- 29:33And speaking of a war, you have 60 days from the start of this.
- 29:37We're 30 plus days into this now.
- 29:39Donald Trump has to do something within 30 days to go back to Congress because of the War Powers Act.
- 29:45Uh, yes, and I you know, I'm wondering like if we sort of read into the fact the deadline keeps getting pushed back.
- 29:52Like, is this because they're not, you know, or are are we bluffing them with some sort of consequences and they're not going along, so we have.
- 30:00To extend it to save things, or is it because the negotiations are actually getting made and we're just ironing out the details?
- 30:06That's why I'm not sure.
- 30:06I don't know.
- 30:07Well, yeah, I mean, obviously no one knows.
- 30:09Yeah, but you can't wonder what that.
- 30:11I can't tell who we're negotiating with.
- 30:14And we're killing them, or who's left to go?
- 30:17Right.
- 30:18And you have this foreign minister that's out there saying one thing, and there's a negotiation going on.
- 30:23There isn't a negotiation.
- 30:24We get 10 tankers of oil.
- 30:26Where are they?
- 30:27Whatever you do, don't bring them to a port in America because I would think they're booby trapped.
- 30:32I I wouldn't take any of those into America, send them somewhere else.
- 30:36But that was the big gift that Donald Trump mentioned last Tuesday, and then he came out Thursday and said that we're getting 10 tankers of oil from Iran.
- 30:44And in the middle of all of this is Pakistan negotiating this.
- 30:48I think Egypt is involved as well now.
- 30:50Pakistan is in their own war with Afghanistan.
- 30:54So it's a whole mess over there.
- 30:56And I don't see this lasting long.
- 30:59I think what will happen, because I mentioned this last week when we were together, and I want to say it again because there is not an oil production problem.
- 31:07When this is over and when the Strait of Hormuz is opened up, you're going to see a barrel of oil probably drop down to 50 bucks a barrel.
- 31:16And you're going to see the inflation drop.
- 31:20You may see the Federal Reserve have to lower interest rates, which will boom the economy.
- 31:27All of those things are coming when this is over.
- 31:29I still say that it's going to be over quickly.
- 31:32I know that you agreed with me on that before.
- 31:34Do you still feel that way, or do you think or sense this is going somewhere else?
- 31:38Well, it's one of those things where I desperately want to believe it'll end quickly.
- 31:42So I'm just going to pretend that's true if uh if not.
- 31:46But uh I I really do hope so.
- 31:48I mean, listen, Trump is not a dumb guy.
- 31:50He knows what the consequences to him and the Republicans would be for a prolonged conflict.
- 31:55So if it does end up being prolonged, I I assume that was not the plan going in, at least.
- 32:01No, I agree with that because you do have the midterm that we talked about in the the first segment.
- 32:06That is coming up, and if this continues, that's not a good thing for the midterm.
- 32:11In fact, I've I if it continues, I would say that the Democrats will win 60 of those house races.
- 32:18It will be just like Obama in 2010 with the Tea Party, which was the most uh that was ever lost, 65 seats.
- 32:25It would be equivalent to that, I believe, Matt.
- 32:27Uh yeah, it would be uh pretty brutal.
- 32:29So I think we're probably untracked to losing 30 to 35, which itself is pretty bad.
- 32:34But uh, you know, the thing is no laws are getting passed anyway.
- 32:38Uh I think it was just the Lincoln O'Reilly Act.
- 32:41It's really the only piece of legislation we've gotten through, if I'm remembering correctly.
- 32:45So we I mean we control all lever, all three uh or sorry, we control the House and Senate already and aren't getting anything done.
- 32:54So I if we have the sentiment on the house, it it's is anything really gonna change that much worse case scenario.
- 33:01I mean, obviously we'd prefer to have the seats as opposed to not having them, but uh already nothing's getting done there anyway.
- 33:08So it it I guess on the bright side won't change much, even though it's it's unfortunate to have to say that.
- 33:13Well, you're gonna get impeachments.
- 33:14That's what's going to change.
- 33:16That will happen.
- 33:19I will say I would rather the Democrats waste time with impeachment showboating than whatever like sinister pieces of legislation they're gonna try to um uh unfold.
- 33:29But yes, it it is gonna be uh uh disastrous news cycle.
- 33:33And this is something I wanted to talk about there in the first segment when we were talking about the elections and what the Republicans need to do, because I think this is really important right now because of the DHS shutdown and TSA not getting paid, Coast Guard not getting paid.
- 33:49That I think that the Republicans need to consider that had they passed a reconciliation before September 30th of 2025, none of this would be happening.
- 34:01None of it.
- 34:02That is their responsibility to pass 12 appropriations prior to September 30th for the next fiscal year.
- 34:09I say that to say this.
- 34:12That has to be done by the Republicans right now.
- 34:16In the next four months, they have to pass all 12 appropriations, put them in one reconciliation bill, and it needs to be done before September 30th, or the government will shut down.
- 34:27The Democrats will keep it shut down until after the midterm election, and then you're looking at losing 65 seats in the House.
- 34:35It has to be done that way.
- 34:37And by the way, with reconciliation, and I know some people push back on me on this.
- 34:41I believe that there is a creative way to sneak the Save Act into the reconciliation.
- 34:47Now, the Bird rule makes uh something like the Save Act without any budgetary increases or decreases.
- 34:54You can't do that.
- 34:56However, there was a 2002 law, Hava that was passed coming out of the 2001 election down in Florida with Gore and Bush that does give money to the states that is a budgetary m item.
- 35:08And I believe that if you put a budget with the Save Act, there's a possibility to be creative and include it in the reconciliation, and you pass it with 51 that way, and you don't have to get 60, nuke the filibuster, do a standing filibuster, any of those things.
- 35:23So I think it's very important that the Republicans get all of that done in a reconciliation before September 30th, or we're gonna see more of what we're seeing, which is continuing resolutions and more government shutdowns and a huge loss in the midterm.
- 35:39Let's get back to Iran, though.
- 35:40Let's talk about uh the Iran foreign minister.
- 35:43I mentioned him, and I don't know who's in charge.
- 35:46This guy has never been in charge.
- 35:47He almost reminds me of what was his name, Baghdad Bob.
- 35:51Do you remember him?
- 35:51Oh, yeah, yeah, the propaganda sky.
- 35:54He was funny.
- 35:55I I remember it like it was yesterday.
- 35:57Maybe a lot of the people listening to Baghdad Bob would come on the television on CNN and he would talk about how great uh Iraq was doing in the war.
- 36:06And uh right behind him were bombs falling and blowing up and the hotel collapse with him in it.
- 36:12And uh, but that's what this Iran foreign minister is like.
- 36:16He was on meet the press this weekend, and here is a little bit of that.
- 36:21How do you go back to doing business with countries you're sending drones into and hitting civilian targets?
- 36:27Obviously, these are the countries who have even their soil to American forces to attack us.
- 36:32Uh so what can we do?
- 36:34We just sit and watch that uh Americans are American forces are attacking us from their soil, and the drones are going into civilian era areas and hitting plants and hotels and civilians.
- 36:46No, no, this is not the fact.
- 36:48We are only targeting American assets, American installations, American military bases.
- 36:53If that is true, then their aim sucks because they are hitting a lot of uh residential areas, hotels, and buildings in uh, you know, in in work areas.
- 37:05So maybe their aim sucks, or maybe he's just lying, he's a propagandist.
- 37:09Uh, what do you think about what he had to say?
- 37:13Is he the one that the CIA is clear is spreading rumors is gay, or is that no?
- 37:17That's the guy that's allegedly in charge with no legs.
- 37:21Uh I just love that our CIA is now doing middle school rumors to take that enemies.
- 37:26I think it's hilarious.
- 37:27A little a little more, a little more noise, I think this is noise.
- 37:30I don't know if you saw this over the weekend, but a third aircraft carrier is headed to the area.
- 37:36Did you hear that?
- 37:37I did not, but I believe you.
- 37:39Well, it is true that a third one is, and that feeds this narrative that this thing is escalating.
- 37:46Let me clear this up too, so that this noise gets dampered down real quick.
- 37:51What happened is the Gerald R.
- 37:53Ford, which was by the way, $13 billion and the largest American aircraft carrier, it had to leave the theater.
- 38:00It is now docked in Crete.
- 38:02They had a very large fire in a laundry room, and the shitters are messed up, which has been a recurring problem over the last five years.
- 38:12They have eco-friendly toilets and they back up.
- 38:16So it is docked in Crete, and that's why another aircraft carrier is headed that way.
- 38:21But make your comments about the Iran foreign minister there.
- 38:24So shitty situation with the phone.
- 38:26I don't know.
- 38:28The Iron Foreign Minister, sorry, back to that point.
- 38:31Um, yeah, I mean, the but I surprised Margaret Brennan actually made a good point.
- 38:35I think that's who was talking that it is probably gonna be hard for them to do business with their neighbors, uh, going in the immediate aftermath of this.
- 38:42I mean, obviously, I know we do business with plenty of countries we've been at war with in the past, but uh, you know, we we've been separated by a lot of time in those cases.
- 38:51It is gonna hurt them in the short term.
- 38:53Yep, and um, you know, the Abraham Accords come into this.
- 38:56That is what really has forged the relationship with Israel and these Arab nations that are really doing nothing.
- 39:04And that's the point I was making earlier that this is not a regional conflict because these nations aren't flying their planes, they aren't bombing Iran back, they're allowing Israel and America to do all of that.
- 39:17The United Arab Emirates, they've had 1,800 attacks on them from Iran during this.
- 39:23They're not gonna do business with the UAE when this is over with unless there is a regime change, which I think could come later.
- 39:31Here's more of the Iran foreign minister with Margaret Brennan.
- 39:35Iran has declared it has 440 kilos or so of nuclear material.
- 39:40Where is that material now?
- 39:42Who has custody of it?
- 39:44Well, we have not declared this is uh verified and declared by the agency.
- 39:48That's it.
- 39:55You know, nuclear material.
- 39:56Yes, so where is it now?
- 39:58Who has custody of it?
- 39:59I like her question.
- 40:00They are they are omnipotent.
- 40:01I like our questions there.
- 40:02Where is it?
- 40:03And that's the thing that some of these troops may be used for.
- 40:06It's been put out there that maybe there's some special forces that will try to go and get that 60% enriched uranium.
- 40:14I want to talk about this other clip too, Matt, that was on a Sunday show, and this was the International Atomic Energy Association General Director General.
- 40:25His name is Raphael Grossi.
- 40:27And he was talking about the fact that Iran's nuclear capability is very sophisticated.
- 40:33But at the same time, these machines, the centrifuges that are used to get enriched uranium from 60% to 90%, is very easily replicated, can be redone.
- 40:46So if we don't get the uranium that they have, then there's a very good chance that in a short amount of time that they can replicate those machines, those centrifuges, and they can produce nuclear weapons at 90% enriched uranium.
- 41:01Um yeah, I mean, I'll obviously ever the more uh excuse to justify uh right well sorry, rightly um to justify our involvement there.
- 41:09Um that's the point.
- 41:11Yeah.
- 41:12Yeah, that is the point.
- 41:13And it is funny that um I I see all these liberal pundits like trying to deny that Iran has nuclear ambitions and all that, and it's it's they're sort of in the denial stage of why we're even there in the first place.
- 41:26So um, yeah, I know they haven't really gotten the memo there.
- 41:29Well, I mean, Biden said it, Obama said it.
- 41:31Uh everyone knows they want.
- 41:33I mean it's you know, if if they're telling us, if the Iranians are ever telling you anything otherwise, it's because they're allowed to lie to us.
- 41:39I mean, the religion literally less of them if it's for their own benefit.
- 41:42And Donald Trump's the only one that has the balls to do what is being done right now, and I I think it's going to be over pretty quickly.
- 41:49One other thing I want to bring up that happened over the weekend was really a successful bombing of Iran at an air base in Saudi Arabia.
- 41:57And what happened there was they bombed a 270 million dollar plane that is used for satellites and reconnaissance, and then they also damaged a couple of KC 135s that are used for refueling.
- 42:11So those planes will have to be, you know, replaced because you have to keep them up in the air to keep the jets flying and the warthogs and all the other things that are in the air that it continue to just pummel Iran.
- 42:23Uh, yeah, and I I actually didn't even hear about that.
- 42:26So it it's it is sad.
- 42:27We're not really getting that many um you know great updates on the progress we're making, which I I mean, obviously the liberal media doesn't want to portray it that way because they want to present it in a way that is damaging to Trump.
- 42:38Um, but yes, no, then that is very good news.
- 42:41Yeah, what they want to do is create the narrative that to me is noise.
- 42:45You mentioned a psyop earlier.
- 42:48To me, every day we get a new Psyop because we are creating them ourselves.
- 42:54You know, each one of these things every day that blows up on social media, blows up in the news, it becomes another psyop.
- 43:00We don't need the CIA to run them on us.
- 43:02We're running them on ourselves at this point.
- 43:05We've got more of the conversation coming up in just a minute.

- 45:16And welcome back to The Truth Be Told on a Monday night.
- 45:19Thank you for being here.
- 45:20Matt, birthright citizenship is something that we have talked about over the last year, and it's finally here.
- 45:26It's going to be heard.
- 45:27Oral arguments are going to be heard in the Supreme Court.
- 45:30Some people get confused because there was a hearing about birthright citizenship, but it was completely different argument at the time.
- 45:39This one is going to get to the real issue.
- 45:42Do people that are born here, and it really it has to do with tourism, the whole birthright tourism thing, birth tourism, where people come to this country and then they have a child, that child then has dual citizenship.
- 45:56And a lot of people are abusing that.
- 45:58And it's a whole big uh uh business, really, isn't it, Matt?
- 46:02Yeah, it's pro tourism, which is unfortunately very common, but the it's more commonly illegal aliens come here other than have a kid, and then you know, liberals love to say, well, illegals they can't claim welfare benefits because they're not citizens.
- 46:15And first of all, there are municipalities that do give benefits outright to illegals.
- 46:20Yeah, that's what they're not scamming us.
- 46:22But once they have a kid on U.S.
- 46:23soil, um, we're spending 20 grand a year or or God knows however much education costs for ULIN cities, it's it's probably way more.
- 46:30So let's say 20K a year to educate that kid K through 12.
- 46:34Um, for some reason they're gonna qualify for some taxpayer-funded minority scholarships if they go to college.
- 46:40Um statistically speaking, their kids earn the less the national average and disproportionately use welfare.
- 46:46So even if illegals cost the taxpayer nothing, their kids are a massive expense.
- 46:51And of course, that was never the goal of the 14th Amendment.
- 46:53The 14th Amendment is one of the reconstruction amendments.
- 46:56It was past the aftermath of slavery to guarantee that free blacks had the same rights as Americans, and one of them was to guarantee it to their children automatically be citizens.
- 47:06Now, the reason we know the founder um that that it was not passed, um you know, to be interpreted the way it is now is that we had to clarify um with that Native Americans were citizens in 1924.
- 47:22So that's in the century after the 14th Amendment.
- 47:25So if if the 14th Amendment just meant you being born here means you're a citizen, well, there every you know, there would have been no need to do that with the Native Americans.
- 47:34So I don't believe it was ever intended to uh be interpreted to just mean being born here makes a citizen, makes you a citizen.
- 47:41Um not a single country in all of Europe offers citizenship the way we do in America.
- 47:47So it is a very uniquely American thing, and it's a very costly thing.
- 47:51I was trying to compute the other day um like what is the cost of birth rate citizenship.
- 47:57And the bad uh the numbers I found were that something like eight percent of all births in America are for illegal aliens or to illegal aliens, and that number was in 2010, a study then.
- 48:08So the numbers has to be higher in the Biden years, we're taking like two million illegals a year, um, as opposed to when it maybe had 10 or 15 million in the country back in 2010.
- 48:18But if you were to assume that 2% of all Americans are the children of illegal aliens, um, the numbers I found, and I was trying to compute like what is the you know, average income of someone who might fall in that category and how much welfare would they be eligible for?
- 48:36And that listen, I I'm just I had a wide range of numbers, it's sort of impossible to know.
- 48:42But at uh if they're two percent of the population, it's a four trillion dollar um annual lifetime cost if the average kid of an illegal lives to eighty years old.
- 48:52That was an emerging him up with.
- 48:53If it's one percent of the population, it's two trillion dollars over their lifetime.
- 48:58So it's a truly enormous amount of money um that we are spending on their kids, and they are net you know, net uh drainers of of the uh they're not net taxpayers.
- 49:09They're taking far more out of the system than they're putting in.
- 49:12The Supreme Court has decided on birthright citizenship a few times in history, and I think we'll probably hear those arguments from the left from the Democrats.
- 49:22This has to do with an executive order that Donald Trump signed as soon as he came into office trying to shut down this birth tourism.
- 49:30And what happens is they become the anchor babies, and then the Democrats they want to create amnesty to allow the parents and the child to become citizens, fast track them to become citizens, or maybe they just let them become citizens without knowing anything about the country.
- 49:46Wouldn't surprise me that that's ultimately what they want to do.
- 49:49I know that one of the cases that the Supreme Court decided on was in 1897, which would have been about 60 or 70 years after the 14th Amendment.
- 49:58Or I guess it would have been about 30 years.
- 50:00After.
- 50:00So that decision came after the 14th Amendment.
- 50:03And this had to do with a Chinese man that was born in America.
- 50:08And he went back to China to see his uh grandparents.
- 50:12And he was like 20, 21 years old.
- 50:14When he came back into the country, he was not allowed in.
- 50:18And they had to go through the process, the legal process, and the Supreme Court ultimately decided that he is an American citizen because he was born here.
- 50:25And I think that we will probably hear some of that coming up in this oral argument this week.
- 50:30It's going to be interesting to listen to.
- 50:32And let's move into CPAC.
- 50:34CPAC was over the weekend.
- 50:37I don't know if anybody noticed.
- 50:38I think CPAC is on its last legs.
- 50:41It's going to go the way of the National Tea Party, I believe.
- 50:45Yeah, it used to be like the event you had to be at.
- 50:50It was completely packed when I would go back in college.
- 50:53And it was I thought it was 300 plus dollars a ticket just for standard admission at that point.
- 50:59And I, you know, I was a student at the time, so I think I was less than 100 if you were a student.
- 51:03But it was like you're out like a thousand or two thousand bucks to go to CPAC back in the day.
- 51:08And uh when I looked, I think last year it was like a hundred dollars for standard or anybody even less.
- 51:14And I I assume it was probably in the same ballpark this year because there was just no one there, no one was posting about it.
- 51:22Uh the only viral clips I saw were like one clip where someone was saying, I think Matt Schlapp was up there saying, like, you know, Democrats take back power.
- 51:32We're gonna see nonstop impeachment.
- 51:34Who wants to see more impeachments?
- 51:36And I think the audience misunderstood what he was saying.
- 51:38Right.
- 51:38And feared on impeachment.
- 51:40I mean, I I they obviously misunderstood what he was saying.
- 51:43I think that they thought that I think that they thought he was talking about impeaching the judges.
- 51:49That's that's the way I took it.
- 51:50That would be way more sense.
- 51:52But like there was no there was no real um I think Trump skipped it.
- 51:56So he he he clearly realized that as well.
- 51:59And you know, Matt Schlap.
- 52:02Um it is Matt Schlapp's the one right now.
- 52:04That's correct, yes.
- 52:06Yeah, he I don't know.
- 52:07Like he he welcomed in people like Van Jones to speak in prior years.
- 52:12Um I I actually wrote up a very long article a few years ago about various groups that were funding CPAC that were Soros-linked groups that were trying to pitch um criminal justice reform to Republicans and sort of present it as a right wing, uh, you know, code it in right wing language and all that to try to make Republicans more supportive of it.
- 52:33And I still haven't saved on my computer if you want to read.
- 52:35I never heard I would love it.
- 52:36Send it to me.
- 52:36Yeah, I wasn't an old one.
- 52:37Yeah, but like groups where it's like, how is this even possible?
- 52:41And um, yeah, I don't know.
- 52:42I'm just very skeptical of Matt Flat.
- 52:44I need to reread my articles like we're more substantive in why.
- 52:47It was like three or four years ago I wrote it.
- 52:49But uh yeah, he's run that that organization to the ground, and it is sad to see.
- 52:53It used to be such a huge event.
- 52:55It was quite a lot of fun when I used to go.
- 52:57One thing that they do every year at CPAC is they have a straw poll for the next presidential election, and they did that again this weekend.
- 53:05I found it very interesting, regardless of how many people were there because there were empty seats on the videos that I saw that Marco Rubio picked up 32 points from last year in the straw poll for the presidential election in 2028.
- 53:21He was at 3% last year.
- 53:22J.D.
- 53:23Vance was 63, 64 percent.
- 53:26This time it was 51% JD Vance and 35% for Marco Rubio.
- 53:32He has a lot of momentum right now, and I think JD Vance is maybe a little bit in the background.
- 53:38Marco Rubio is out front.
- 53:40He's very articulate.
- 53:42I think he would be a good candidate, but I'm glad to see that the CPAC recognizes that in him because I would love to see an actual primary and not just you know give the crown to JD Vance and say he's the next.
- 53:55Let's see who's out there and who may be the person that has the right solutions for the country and for the Republican side.
- 54:02Yeah, no, absolutely I agree on the primary.
- 54:04It will be sad, though, to see them all fighting.
- 54:06Yeah, like JD Dance and Marco, you know, I maybe maybe they will.
- 54:10I mean, they'll probably be more respectful.
- 54:12It is funny though.
- 54:13Um for some reason the YouTube algorithm a few weeks or months ago suggested to me uh highlights from 2015 and 2016 of Trump and Rubio on the debate stage and how completely brutal that is.
- 54:26And it it just is hilarious how things change over time in politics.
- 54:30I I I hope the relationship between Marco and J.D.
- 54:32Dance, even if they do compete, is is still amicable and all that.
- 54:36But uh I I think I I lean uh JD Dance.
- 54:39But I do like the polls.
- 54:41Okay.
- 54:41Well, I I like Rubio.
- 54:43I think he would be an excellent selection.
- 54:44And you like the poll.
- 54:46Yeah, I I do too.
- 54:47I don't have anything against JD Vance, but you put uh Sarah Huckabee Sanders on a ticket with Marco Rubio.
- 54:53That would be tough to compete against if you're a Democrat.
- 54:55You have someone with a Hispanic background, speaks uh fluid Spanish, and then you have a female who has been the uh the governor of the state of Arkansas now for six years.
- 55:06So I think there are a lot of names that we could consider for 28 before we just jump on the JD Vance bandwagon.
- 55:13By the way, Donald Trump and Chairman G will meet.
- 55:18It's been announced, and the meeting is in concrete now, May 14 and 15th.
- 55:22The first lady and Donald Trump will travel to China.
- 55:25That meeting originally was supposed to happen in March, but it did not happen, but now it is happening.
- 55:31And then G and his first lady, I don't know what they call them in China, but they are coming later.
- 55:37That date has not been set.
- 55:38So don't forget about China in the middle of all of this that's going on in this world.
- 55:44And Matt, we're at the end of our hour.
- 55:46I've enjoyed it.
- 55:47Thank you so much for always coming in on a Monday night and doing Mondays with Matt.
- 55:51What do we look forward to this week, other than the oral arguments for birthright citizenship?
- 55:56Uh basically everything we just put the best ever talking about.
- 56:00I think it's gonna be a month of like us talking about the same topics.
- 56:03Uh yeah, I think it will be too.
- 56:05Yeah.
- 56:05But I I think I mean, I think the birthright citizenship will probably be most of what we talk about next uh next week.
- 56:11And uh God, I hope it goes favorably.
- 56:13Yeah, and then there are some things cooking in a grand jury in South Florida with uh Jack Smith, Brennan, Clapper.
- 56:22We'll have to keep an eye on that too.
- 56:24Maybe some news comes out from Tulsi Gabbard and the DNI, because uh there's some news to come.
- 56:30We'll just wait and see.
- 56:32Matt, thank you so much for coming on.
- 56:33I appreciate it.
- 56:34My pleasure.
- 56:35And don't forget that you were told two thousand years ago that you are the salt of the earth and salt without flavor, it has no value.
- 56:42So whatever you do, keep being salty.
- 56:44Have a great night.
- 56:46There is only one truth.
- 56:48You've been listening to The Truth Be Told with Booker Scott on America Out Loud.
