- 0:01Most people are skeptical about the concept of conscious
- 0:04universal forces. Even if they profess a belief in
- 0:09God, angels, demons, and other unseen powerful beings, they
- 0:15tend to reject the idea when it comes down to actual influence
- 0:19in their own actions, reactions and responses.
- 0:24There is an inherent belief in the freedom and independence of
- 0:27their decision process. People do not like to admit that
- 0:31forces outside themselves, particularly conscious forces,
- 0:36are controlling in any way how they think, feel and respond.
- 0:42People acknowledge the reality of universal forces on the
- 0:45material plane. They experience the effects of
- 0:48gravity, electricity and other forces operated in the material
- 0:54world. They also tacitly acknowledge
- 0:57some larger universal forces at the vital level when they look
- 1:01at instinctive behaviour in animals.
- 1:04Anyone observing the coordinated movements of a flock of birds or
- 1:09a school of fish can see that these actions are not the result
- 1:13of a large number of individual decisions by each bird or each
- 1:18fish. Rather, they are all responding
- 1:22together to some force that transcends their individual
- 1:26decision making power. We have thus a basis for
- 1:30acknowledging that universal forces are at work in life, and
- 1:35we can, if we explore our own human lives, find similar
- 1:40instinctive or coordinated behavioral responses that
- 1:44certainly impact our own individual reactions, thoughts,
- 1:49and development. What we have not yet arrived at
- 1:54in this analysis is the sense that these forces are conscious
- 1:58and are acting from their own unique needs, desires,
- 2:03viewpoints and ideas and utilizing their powers to
- 2:07influence what we do. When we see vast numbers of
- 2:12people suddenly responding to a situation in a similar way, we
- 2:17can accept that some universal forces are at play.
- 2:21The mind, with its limited access to information and its
- 2:25limited range of perception and understanding is not the proper
- 2:30instrument to appreciate the existence of forces and
- 2:34conscious beings that operate outside the minds range of
- 2:38perception. The lack of specific
- 2:41acknowledgement by the mind does not prove these forces do not
- 2:46exist. Rather, they simply amplify our
- 2:50sense of limitation in our current understanding.
- 2:56Using techniques developed by sages, seers and Mystics
- 2:59throughout the ages and in many different cultures and
- 3:03societies, new powers of understanding have been
- 3:07deployed. People have experienced and
- 3:10report the existence of conscious entities and interact
- 3:14with humanity on the subliminal or supreliminal levels.
- 3:20In the Titania Upanishad 1 chapter actually sets forth the
- 3:23hierarchy of conscious beings who exist beyond the normal
- 3:28human level of experience. Scientists, as they continue to
- 3:34probe the basis of existence, have concluded that matter is a
- 3:38concentrated form of energy and that energy is a concentrated
- 3:44form of consciousness, and that the entire existence is 1.
- 3:50Consciousness is universal. As we get used to this way of
- 3:54seeing the universe, it becomes obvious that all that exists is
- 3:59organized, developed, planned, and executed by a conscious
- 4:04awareness far beyond the human mental capability.
- 4:09It is also obvious that just as there are beings below the human
- 4:13level perception, there are beings above the human level of
- 4:19perception. Biologists have recently
- 4:23determined that the intestinal flora, essentially bacteria
- 4:27colonies that live in the human digestive system and which help
- 4:32us effectively digest food, are themselves able to send signals
- 4:36to the brain ostensibly to request food.
- 4:40The question of whose hunger is it when we experience cravings
- 4:45of hunger is now being answered. It is not solely our own
- 4:50individual experience of the need for sustenance, but in many
- 4:54cases it seems to be the bacteria who are commandeering
- 4:58use of our nervous systems to communicate with the brain and
- 5:03trigger a hunger response. This brings us to the topic at
- 5:09hand, namely the existence of forces that are conscious,
- 5:13universal, and have their own agenda with respect to human
- 5:17beings. They try to influence us, and in
- 5:21many cases they feed off of the energies and emotions we throw
- 5:25off when confronted by situations raised by these
- 5:29forces. In terms of negative or hostile
- 5:33forces, these energies may be embodiments of fear, lust,
- 5:38anger, hatred, strong emotions that vibrate strongly and cost
- 5:44us energy. In terms of positive or helpful
- 5:47forces, they tend to help us grow, to understand and to
- 5:52appreciate and support the oneness of the creation, and
- 5:56help us to create harmony in our lives and for the world within
- 6:01which we move and act, Triorbindo notes quote.
- 6:07The prolongation of the difficulty and its acuteness
- 6:11come from the fact that there are forces in nature, not
- 6:14personal or individual, but universal, which live upon these
- 6:19movements and through them they have long controlled the
- 6:22individual nature. These do not want to lose their
- 6:26rule, and so when these movements are thrown out, they
- 6:30throw them back on the Saddak in strong waves or with great
- 6:34violence, Or they create in the vital a Great Depression,
- 6:38discouragement, despair. That is their favorite weapon,
- 6:43because it is losing its former field of desires and has not yet
- 6:47in any certainty something that would replace it.
- 6:51The assured continuance, psychic or spiritual condition or
- 6:56experience. To prevent that is the whole
- 7:00effort of these forces. So they create these upheavals,
- 7:05and the vital admits them because of its own habit of
- 7:07response to the lower forces. At the same time they put in
- 7:13suggestions to the mind so as to make it also accept the
- 7:17disturbance, discouragement, and depression.
- 7:21That is what I meant by saying that these are attacks from
- 7:24outside and must be rejected if they cannot be rejected
- 7:28altogether. Yet one must try to keep a part
- 7:31of the mind conscious which will refuse to admit the suggestions
- 7:36or share in the depression and the trouble which will save
- 7:39firmly. I know what this is, and I know
- 7:43that it will pass and I can resume my way to the goal, which
- 7:47nothing can prevent me from reaching, since my soul's will
- 7:51is and will always be. For that you have to reach the
- 7:56point where you can do that always.
- 7:58Then the power of the forces to disturb will begin to diminish
- 8:03and fall away. End Quote Reference Sri
