Speaker 3: up a little bit later on. Also a good friend,
• 2:05
Speaker 3: Millie Snyder from the Shape Shop is here as well.
• 2:08
Speaker 3: We got breaking news though, I'm gonna go to Jeff
• 2:10
Speaker 3: Jenkins in the newsroom now. Jeff, good morning, second day
• 2:12
Speaker 3: in a row. I have you on to start the show.
• 2:14
Speaker 3: What's going on on the west side this morning? To
• 2:15
  Speaker 3: Rob Patrick Street.
• 2:16
Speaker 6: So we got a water main break there so, and
• 2:20
Speaker 6: typically when you have big water main break, the most
• 2:23
Speaker 6: action is at the beginning when it breaks, and thousands
• 2:28
Speaker 6: and thousands and thousands and thousands of gallons of water
• 2:30
Speaker 6: spew up in the air. And so that's what has
• 2:33
Speaker 6: been happening within the last So I'm sure in Western
• 2:36
Speaker 6: America they'll get there and they'll get a shut off
• 2:37
Speaker 6: as soon as they can. But yeah, so it's basically
• 2:40
Speaker 6: at Patrick Street Plaza at the intersection of Fourth Avend
• 2:43
Speaker 6: It's basically the main intersection going into the Patrick Street
• 2:46
Speaker 6: Plaza there by the railroad tracks which is you know,
• 2:50
Speaker 6: it's the old k Marp which is now the U Haul,
• 2:53
Speaker 6: big U Haul facility. So that's just looks like a
• 2:58
Speaker 6: broken line and you know one of the main lines
• 3:01
Speaker 6: in there, so a lot of water.
• 3:03
  Speaker 7: Yeah.
• 3:03
Speaker 3: I actually saw a picture that was sent to me
• 3:06
Speaker 3: from a mutual friend of ours, and I mean it
• 3:08
Speaker 3: looks like you said, it's just exploding everywhere. So we'll
• 3:11
Speaker 3: be working to try to get that.
• 3:12
Speaker 6: So a couple of streets closed, Dave, in that area,
• 3:15
Speaker 6: and so probably just a good idea to, you know,
• 3:19
Speaker 6: maybe go a couple of streets over if you have
• 3:21
Speaker 6: to be on that side or whatever, because it's just
• 3:22
Speaker 6: kind of be messy there for a while.
• 3:24
Speaker 3: All Right, Jeff, I appreciate it. We'll have more updates
• 3:27
Speaker 3: on the air and of course online as well. Jeff
• 3:29
Speaker 3: in the newsroom, I appreciate you being here. Thanks a lot.
• 3:31
Speaker 3: The Dave Allen showing five Eybe line brought to you
• 3:33
Speaker 3: part by Morgan to Morgan, America's largest injury law firm,
• 3:35
Speaker 3: If You're injured, is for Thepeople dot Com. Look who's here.
• 3:39
Speaker 3: It's Millie Snyder from the Shape Show.
• 3:41
Speaker 8: I want to start off by saying, happy birthday to you,
• 3:46
Speaker 8: Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday, dear Dave, Happy birthday
• 3:53
  Speaker 8: to you.
• 3:54
Speaker 3: Well, thank you. Yeah, actually have a very lovely singing voice.
• 3:56
Speaker 8: Thank you. I've been told that, well did you learn.
• 4:00
Speaker 3: When you're hanging out at Barbara Striiscens house a couple
• 4:01
Speaker 3: of years ago? Exactly if you didn't hear that story
• 4:05
Speaker 3: a couple of years ago, Millie Snyder Actually.
• 4:07
Speaker 8: And anytime anybody wants to hear it again, Yes, I'm
• 4:10
  Speaker 8: not over it.
• 4:11
Speaker 3: She ended up at Barbara Streisand's house a couple of
• 4:13
Speaker 3: years As matter of fact, I think the picture that
• 4:15
Speaker 3: I posted on social media this morning previewing the show,
• 4:18
Speaker 3: I have you in your barber Stris and T shirt.
• 4:20
  Speaker 8: Oh thank you.
• 4:21
Speaker 3: I appreciate that my birthday was Monday, but nobody sang
• 4:24
Speaker 3: to me so Murphy.
• 4:26
Speaker 8: Off I did that, and I yes, thank.
• 4:30
Speaker 3: You, all right, wants now with Millie Snyder.
• 4:32
Speaker 8: Well, I want to just tell you that I am
• 4:37
Speaker 8: so proud of our shop, our Shape shop, because we
• 4:41
Speaker 8: really do keep the promise of never serving anything process
• 4:46
Speaker 8: and there are there's so much out there. I don't
• 4:50
Speaker 8: want to go on and on about what happened with
• 4:54
Speaker 8: Boar's head, but we need to pay attention to the
• 4:57
Speaker 8: fact that we have to read labels. We have to
• 5:00
Speaker 8: make sure that what we're eating is clean, doesn't have chemicals,
• 5:05
Speaker 8: doesn't have preservatives and god knows what else they're put
• 5:08
Speaker 8: in it. And I'm sad for a big company like
• 5:12
Speaker 8: that to have to close a place in someplace in
• 5:15
Speaker 8: Virginia and lose five hundred jobs. That takes a serious time.
• 5:20
Speaker 3: So they had to close that particular.
• 5:22
Speaker 8: Facility, and I think they have other facilities. Oh yeah,
• 5:25
Speaker 8: So this isn't about trashing.
• 5:27
  Speaker 3: Boards right exactly.
• 5:28
Speaker 8: But the point is we need to pay attention as people.
• 5:31
Speaker 8: What are you putting in your body? Take a few
• 5:34
Speaker 8: extra minutes to read the label, and if you have
• 5:37
Speaker 8: trouble pronouncing a word on the ingredients, put it down,
• 5:41
Speaker 8: don't buy it because you don't need to ingest that product.
• 5:44
Speaker 3: And that includes diet sodas, and yes, there, next time
• 5:48
Speaker 3: you pick up a can of any diet soda that
• 5:50
Speaker 3: you think that you're maybe eating or drinking, I guess healthy.
• 5:53
Speaker 3: Look at the ingredients.
• 5:54
Speaker 8: Well, you know, you know there's some diet sodas that
• 5:57
Speaker 8: you can use to clean your.
• 5:58
Speaker 3: Toilet clean and tolet out.
• 6:03
Speaker 8: But yes, but I wasn't going to go there. Thank
• 6:05
Speaker 8: you for doing that.
• 6:06
Speaker 3: I don't care. I have no class. So, but there
• 6:10
Speaker 3: are diet sodas out there if people want sodas and
• 6:12
Speaker 3: you sell some in your store that are okay.
• 6:15
Speaker 8: Yes I do, and I will always continue to do that.
• 6:18
Speaker 8: But also the drink industry is paying attention to that
• 6:22
Speaker 8: and they're putting out just playing Seltzer water or carbonated.
• 6:27
Speaker 8: It doesn't have to be Seltzer per se, but carbonated
• 6:29
Speaker 8: and it has like a fruit flavor to it, and
• 6:32
Speaker 8: that's going to help people eventually break that yoke around
• 6:36
Speaker 8: their neck because some people only drink diet soda and
• 6:40
Speaker 8: they never drink water, and people ought to discover this stuff.
• 6:44
Speaker 8: It's called h two. Oh it really works. I mean
• 6:47
Speaker 8: there's a break over Patrick Street the water. Don't drink
• 6:51
Speaker 8: that though, No, no, no, that I'm not recommending, and
• 6:54
Speaker 8: that used to be our home. You know, we were
• 6:56
Speaker 8: at Waite Watchers in Shape Shop was at Patrick Street
• 6:59
Speaker 8: for I'm kind of glad I'm not there today.
• 7:02
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 7:02
Speaker 8: Nonetheless, I hope that you HAUL will be able to,
• 7:05
Speaker 8: you know, get good attention.
• 7:07
Speaker 3: We forget. You know, there's so much now in the
• 7:10
Speaker 3: world of drinks, with all the energy drinks and you know,
• 7:13
Speaker 3: all the different ways and energy drinks or whatever, but
• 7:16
Speaker 3: there's still nothing that's ever been invented to keep you
• 7:20
Speaker 3: hydrated better than just plain old water, whether it's in
• 7:24
Speaker 3: a bottle, whether it's in your tap, if you live
• 7:25
Speaker 3: somewhere where you can have clean wherever, it's still much
• 7:28
Speaker 3: better than any sort of anything with aid in the title.
• 7:31
Speaker 8: And on that subject, I had a family wedding that
• 7:34
Speaker 8: I attended in New Mexico and at this venue, in
• 7:39
Speaker 8: the room, they gave us water in a cartan like
• 7:43
Speaker 8: a little milk cart.
• 7:44
Speaker 3: I've seen those, actually, and I was so impressed.
• 7:46
Speaker 8: I was thinking how I could bring that home and
• 7:49
Speaker 8: show it off. I'm just I was thrilled to see that.
• 7:52
Speaker 8: And then it's not a can, so it doesn't have
• 7:55
Speaker 8: to go into re well, I guess the cardboard has
• 7:57
Speaker 8: to go into recycle, but just water in a paper cart.
• 8:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going back to that again. So now that
• 8:03
Speaker 3: follow us here? What are you starting to wind down
• 8:05
Speaker 3: a little bit? I know the answer to that, snow,
• 8:07
Speaker 3: but I just thought I'd go ahead and try line down?
• 8:09
  Speaker 9: Yeah?
• 8:09
Speaker 3: What is what is winding?
• 8:11
Speaker 8: And I don't even know how to spell that, let
• 8:13
Speaker 8: alone one our food truck was going to slack Plaza today,
• 8:18
Speaker 8: which is City Center East. That's the more official title,
• 8:21
Speaker 8: but because of the rain. We got to call you know,
• 8:23
Speaker 8: late yesterday that we're going to scrub today.
• 8:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, they're not doing it at all today.
• 8:27
Speaker 8: Right because you know, there's no there's no no one's
• 8:31
Speaker 8: going to come out and you know it's a big
• 8:32
Speaker 8: expense to take the truck to anything, but we're happy
• 8:35
  Speaker 8: to do it.
• 8:37
Speaker 3: And any any dates you want to plug where you
• 8:39
Speaker 3: are going to be here.
• 8:40
Speaker 8: Well, tomorrow we're going to be at the I believe
• 8:43
Speaker 8: it's called well Garlow Insurance and South Charleston, and then
• 8:48
Speaker 8: we do have some events coming up. I believe in
• 8:51
Speaker 8: the middle of October we're going to do recovery down
• 8:54
Speaker 8: on Magic Island. But it's not nearly as busy as
• 8:59
Speaker 8: we come into this time of the year as it
• 9:01
Speaker 8: is when we're in the summertime, because summertime there's not
• 9:05
Speaker 8: enough of us to go around to you know, hit
• 9:07
  Speaker 8: all the place.
• 9:07
Speaker 3: Well you can't, you can't possibly.
• 9:08
Speaker 8: Meantime, they could come to the Shape Shop.
• 9:10
Speaker 3: And that's what That's exactly what I was going to say.
• 9:12
Speaker 8: That's seven oh six Central Avenue. It's on the west
• 9:15
Speaker 8: side and it's so easy to find and there's been
• 9:18
Speaker 8: a lot of improvements to Central Avenue and the West
• 9:21
Speaker 8: Side in general easy to find us.
• 9:23
Speaker 3: Plenty of free parking.
• 9:24
Speaker 8: Plenty, I mean plenty.
• 9:26
Speaker 3: There's me right in front of the store too, yes.
• 9:30
  Speaker 5: You know.
• 9:30
Speaker 8: And if someone is handicap, there's two handicap spots right
• 9:34
Speaker 8: in front of the store. We also have a a ramp,
• 9:38
Speaker 8: so if you're in a wheelchair, please don't use that
• 9:41
Speaker 8: as a deterran come in and we have an automatic
• 9:44
Speaker 8: door that opens. We really want to welcome people into
• 9:48
Speaker 8: our shop so they can enjoy what we offer.
• 9:51
Speaker 3: I want to talk about the classes you have. Tell
• 9:52
Speaker 3: me about the different classes. Mediterranean.
• 9:55
Speaker 8: I teach the Mediterranean lifestyle and I do that on
• 9:58
Speaker 8: Thursday morning at fifteen and again on Saturday morning at
• 10:03
Speaker 8: nine fifteen. And Mediterranean eating is clean, pure food. It's
• 10:09
Speaker 8: delicious and it's been around for centuries. People who eat
• 10:13
Speaker 8: Mediterranean food live a long time without medication. It increases
• 10:18
Speaker 8: their longevity and they walk around with a smile on
• 10:21
  Speaker 8: their face.
• 10:22
Speaker 3: Can you imagine, indeed, and give us a couple of
• 10:24
Speaker 3: the key foods that are in the Mediterranean diet. I
• 10:28
Speaker 3: mean there's so many, but or you know, but just
• 10:30
Speaker 3: give me, I mean, I know it's very big on fish,
• 10:32
  Speaker 3: and you serve.
• 10:32
Speaker 8: Not very big. We only want you to eat it
• 10:34
  Speaker 8: twice a week.
• 10:35
  Speaker 3: Okay, I'm sorry.
• 10:36
Speaker 8: I don't want you to go fish and those swimming
• 10:37
Speaker 8: down the you know, we don't want you to swim
• 10:39
Speaker 8: in the canal, but I wouldn't recommend that anyway.
• 10:42
Speaker 3: You're not gonna grow gills or anything though what you're saying.
• 10:44
Speaker 3: But you do have some delicious salmon though, because I've.
• 10:46
Speaker 8: Had it, and I wish you'd come in and have
• 10:48
Speaker 8: it again because it is fabulous. It's not good, it's fabulous,
• 10:51
Speaker 8: and some people just cannot believe. But I have one
• 10:54
Speaker 8: customer who gets it for six nights, I think in
• 10:57
Speaker 8: the week. But I think I would get tired of
• 11:00
  Speaker 8: eating it.
• 11:00
  Speaker 3: Yeah night.
• 11:01
Speaker 8: Yeah, but I always have variety in my house. But
• 11:04
Speaker 8: and I tried different things. One night it can be shrimped.
• 11:07
Speaker 8: One night, it could be swordfish. One night, it could
• 11:10
Speaker 8: be fresh tuna. Sometimes it's cantuna. But just have two
• 11:14
Speaker 8: fish meals a week, and we don't overdo because sadly,
• 11:19
Speaker 8: our oceans aren't clean, so we don't want to eat
• 11:22
Speaker 8: fish five six times a week.
• 11:24
Speaker 3: Good point. And I thought about that you had something
• 11:27
Speaker 3: you wanted to say before you left there, you had
• 11:29
Speaker 3: something you wanted to put out there.
• 11:30
  Speaker 2: To the people.
• 11:31
Speaker 8: Well, I want to read a story, all right, go ahead,
• 11:33
Speaker 8: and it's called the cookie principle. A young girl explains
• 11:36
Speaker 8: the world to her newborn brother. I'm your old five
• 11:41
Speaker 8: year old sister, Laurie, and you're my baby brother, Alex.
• 11:45
Speaker 8: Since you're only two weeks old, I'm going to splain
• 11:48
Speaker 8: life because it's not easy for you. I know. I
• 11:51
Speaker 8: was young ones too. Grown Ups can make their can't
• 11:54
Speaker 8: make up their minds. First they want one thing, then another.
• 11:58
  Speaker 8: I know what I want. I want a cookie, But
• 12:01
Speaker 8: mommy said, no, how about a banana? She said, a
• 12:04
Speaker 8: cookie will ruin my appetite for supper. I don't want supper.
• 12:07
Speaker 8: Supper ruins my appetite for a cookie, and I don't
• 12:10
Speaker 8: want a banana. I want a cookie. You see, grown
• 12:13
Speaker 8: ups are always trying to get us to do stuff
• 12:15
Speaker 8: we don't want to do. If there's a TV show
• 12:17
Speaker 8: I want to watch, Mommy tries to get me to
• 12:19
Speaker 8: color or play a game. By the time I get
• 12:21
  Speaker 8: to be a grown up, I won't know what I
• 12:23
Speaker 8: want any more. But kids know what they want. Do
• 12:27
Speaker 8: we want to go to bed. No, we do want
• 12:30
Speaker 8: a cookie. Yes. When was the last time somebody asked
• 12:33
Speaker 8: kids if they wanted to do something and the kids said,
• 12:36
Speaker 8: we don't know. I kind of feel sorry for Mommy
• 12:38
Speaker 8: and Daddy. They can't help it. They're grown ups. They
• 12:41
Speaker 8: can't decide whether to leave the toilet seat up or down.
• 12:45
Speaker 8: Daddy wants it up, Mommy wants it down. They were
• 12:48
Speaker 8: talking real loud about it today. I asked them why
• 12:50
Speaker 8: they were arguing. Daddy said they weren't arguing. He said
• 12:54
Speaker 8: they were discussing. After they were done, I snuck in
• 12:57
Speaker 8: the bathroom. I put the toilet seat back up so
• 13:00
Speaker 8: I could hear them discuss it again. Mommy can't decide
• 13:03
Speaker 8: what to fix for dinner. I told her to fix cookies.
• 13:06
Speaker 8: She said no. In the morning, she can't decide what
• 13:09
Speaker 8: to wear. Daddy asked her what she wants to do Saturday.
• 13:12
Speaker 8: She said she doesn't know. Daddy is just as bad.
• 13:15
Speaker 8: Each night he grows whiskers, but in the morning he
• 13:17
Speaker 8: changes his mind and shaves them off. Then he sits
• 13:20
Speaker 8: in his chair with his mote control and changes channel
• 13:23
Speaker 8: all the time. Daddy's been a grown up for too long.
• 13:26
Speaker 8: He doesn't know what to watch. I bet when he
• 13:28
Speaker 8: was a kid he wanted a cookie real bad, but
• 13:30
Speaker 8: his parents made him eat different foods like bananas and stuff.
• 13:34
Speaker 8: He doesn't even know which jobby should do. He is
• 13:37
Speaker 8: thinking about changing jobs, but it's hard for him to decide.
• 13:40
Speaker 8: So Daddy listened to a tape. The man on the
• 13:42
Speaker 8: tape said, people who are cessful figure out what they
• 13:46
Speaker 8: want and go after it. In that case, I'm going
• 13:48
Speaker 8: to be real cessful because I really want a cookie.
• 13:52
Speaker 8: When the tape was over, Mommy was nice. She talked
• 13:55
Speaker 8: real sweet to Daddy and asked him which job he
• 13:57
Speaker 8: really wanted. Daddy was sad. He shook his head and

Speaker 3: It's a tough act to follow when you've got to
• 18:03
Speaker 3: follow Millie Snyder. You know that, right.
• 18:05
Speaker 13: Millie was out there selling me in the green room,
• 18:08
Speaker 13: so that's where we're headed to lunch today. She did
• 18:10
  Speaker 13: a great job.
• 18:10
Speaker 3: The food is fantastic there. It's very very good, you know, John.
• 18:16
Speaker 3: I was looking around at some of the projects you
• 18:18
Speaker 3: and your company have completed in the past, and I
• 18:21
Speaker 3: will say this for the people listening, they probably pass
• 18:24
Speaker 3: a Jarrett Construction building a few times a week, and
• 18:27
Speaker 3: their travels if he travels as much as I do
• 18:29
Speaker 3: around the state or whatever, you probably have. What are
• 18:32
Speaker 3: some of the projects that you've done in the past
• 18:35
Speaker 3: that people may know about, or something that you're working
• 18:37
  Speaker 3: on the future.
• 18:38
Speaker 13: Well, Dave, folks here in Charleston, Morgantown, throughout the state
• 18:42
Speaker 13: of West Virginia, I they very well may pass some
• 18:45
Speaker 13: of our jobs. One of the large projects that we've
• 18:48
Speaker 13: done here twenty years ago was for mine Senior ed Sadie,
• 18:52
Speaker 13: dear friend and mentor client of ours. It's the Gathering
• 18:56
Speaker 13: Space Edition right across the street, just down the street
• 18:59
Speaker 13: from where we're sitting here in the Parmar Studios. The
• 19:03
Speaker 13: Gathering Space Edition was a wonderful project. Took three hundred
• 19:07
Speaker 13: tons of sandstone that was quarried out of a mine
• 19:10
Speaker 13: in Boyerstown, Pennsylvania. Then it was shipped to Cleveland to
• 19:15
Speaker 13: get cut and shaped, and then shipped to Rock Branch,
• 19:18
Speaker 13: West Virginia to be sand blasted, and then brought right
• 19:21
Speaker 13: back here to Charleston to be laid. So that project
• 19:25
Speaker 13: was a wonderful job for us. The Graylock Energy Building
• 19:30
Speaker 13: in Northgate and a lot of people see that unless
• 19:32
Speaker 13: you're in Northgate. That was built for our friend Kyle
• 19:35
Speaker 13: Mork and his company, Energy Corporation of America seven to
• 19:39
Speaker 13: ten years ago. One of the larger projects that we've done.
• 19:43
Speaker 13: And we're getting ready to start a project right across
• 19:46
Speaker 13: the river that you and I were at a couple
• 19:48
Speaker 13: of weeks ago for Parmar.
• 19:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the one over on there and and
• 19:53
Speaker 3: trust people have been asking ever since those signs went up,
• 19:55
Speaker 3: when is that going to be built? When you're going
• 19:57
Speaker 3: to start. They had the groundbreaking just like it's two
• 19:59
Speaker 3: wee weeks ago or so, so you should start seeing
• 20:02
Speaker 3: the dirt flying for real here soon.
• 20:05
Speaker 13: Very soon. We're waiting. The guys at Palmar have a
• 20:08
Speaker 13: consultants engaged to produce a report. Once we get that
• 20:11
Speaker 13: report and able to send it to the state, we'll
• 20:14
Speaker 13: get started. We're ready to go.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: Talk about the history of the company. John, Where did
• 20:18
Speaker 3: Jerreed Construction start? I know some of the history because
• 20:21
Speaker 3: you and I talked about it a couple of weeks ago,
• 20:23
Speaker 3: But for the people that don't know, just give us
• 20:25
Speaker 3: the history of Jery Constructure, Dave.
• 20:27
Speaker 13: We started in Cross Lanes in my son's eight by
• 20:30
Speaker 13: ten bedroom twenty five years ago, converted that his bedroom
• 20:35
Speaker 13: to our first office.
• 20:37
Speaker 3: Sorry, son, you'll have to sleep on the couch.
• 20:39
Speaker 13: Daddy's working, you know, whatever it takes as a family affair.
• 20:44
Speaker 13: He happens to be working for us now in our
• 20:46
Speaker 13: Morgantown office. He was two years old at the time.
• 20:51
Speaker 13: But we started there in Cross Lanes, moved to a
• 20:54
Speaker 13: small office in Cross Lanes, and then in two thousand
• 20:58
Speaker 13: and four we were able to buy the old Red Cross
• 21:02
Speaker 13: building right here on Virginia Street, about three blocks east
• 21:05
Speaker 13: of us, right next to the Capital. So we started
• 21:10
Speaker 13: moved there in two thousand and four, two thousand and five,
• 21:13
Speaker 13: and we work all over the state day. We design
• 21:15
Speaker 13: and build buildings, whether it whether it would be a
• 21:18
Speaker 13: sports complex or a medical office, a hospital, affordable housing.
• 21:24
Speaker 13: We'll do just about anything vertical construction.
• 21:28
Speaker 3: And again were talking with John jar to Jared Construction,
• 21:30
Speaker 3: and I know you're planning a little celebration for some
• 21:33
Speaker 3: of your customers and friends, and that should be a
• 21:36
Speaker 3: good time kind of looking back at all the different
• 21:38
Speaker 3: things that you've done.
• 21:39
Speaker 13: Yes, sir, Saturday evening, we have some clients and friends
• 21:43
Speaker 13: and mentors that are coming to an event here in Charleston.
• 21:48
Speaker 13: We're looking forward to that to take a breath and
• 21:52
Speaker 13: celebrate and gratitude and then get back to work and
• 21:55
Speaker 13: then right back to work. But Dave, we are grateful,
• 21:58
Speaker 13: and just take a second here. There's been been a
• 22:00
Speaker 13: lot of folks that have helped us along the way.
• 22:02
Speaker 13: But we give thanks first and foremost to God for
• 22:05
Speaker 13: the blessings that he's given us. Just I can tell
• 22:09
Speaker 13: you there's not enough time in this show here today,
• 22:11
Speaker 13: but he's given us opportunities and he's kept us out
• 22:14
Speaker 13: of trouble on a lot of things, and so we're
• 22:16
Speaker 13: we're blessed for that. Many many folks, the folks that
• 22:20
Speaker 13: work for us all have significant years.
• 22:23
  Speaker 8: Now.
• 22:23
Speaker 13: We've hired a couple of new young folks that right
• 22:26
Speaker 13: out of the WVU Tech Construction Management program, which I'd
• 22:30
Speaker 13: like to visit with you a little bit about. But
• 22:32
Speaker 13: our entire team the great folks to work with and
• 22:36
Speaker 13: that's what helped get us here today.
• 22:39
Speaker 3: Can we talk with John Jared to Jared Construction the
• 22:41
Speaker 3: Dave Island showing five Ady Life broad to a part
• 22:43
Speaker 3: by Hustands Pizza. This month's your Favorite Hustan's get a
• 22:45
Speaker 3: large a ten inch pepper ony pizza and an eight
• 22:47
Speaker 3: inch chocolate chip cookie only twenty three to ninety nine.
• 22:50
Speaker 3: Talk about this deal you got on WVU Tech, This
• 22:53
Speaker 3: construction management program a one hundred You told me in
• 22:56
Speaker 3: some notes you gave me you have a one hundred
• 22:58
Speaker 3: percent higher rate. That's pretty dang good.
• 23:01
Speaker 13: John, Pretty good, Dave. I tell you, the construction construction
• 23:05
Speaker 13: management program at Tech was started about six years ago.
• 23:09
Speaker 13: I helped plant the seeds of having that program developed.
• 23:14
Speaker 13: The Tech folks got it going, and since the first
• 23:18
Speaker 13: cohort was graduated two years ago, one percent every student
• 23:23
Speaker 13: that has graduated has had a job at or before graduation.
• 23:28
Speaker 13: And these are good jobs, Dave. They're paying anywhere from
• 23:31
Speaker 13: sixty seven to seventy five thousand dollars a year working
• 23:36
Speaker 13: for contractors and engineering firms throughout West Virginia.
• 23:40
Speaker 3: And also understand that you're looking at hiring some people.
• 23:43
Speaker 13: We are day. We have a need right now for
• 23:47
Speaker 13: superintendents and project managers. So anyone that has a little
• 23:51
Speaker 13: bit of experience in the construction, the vertical construction field,
• 23:55
Speaker 13: we'd love to talk to them. They can get to
• 23:58
Speaker 13: jump on our website. There's a high hiring tab there.
• 24:01
Speaker 13: Click on that submit a resume. We'd be happy to
• 24:04
Speaker 13: look at it and talk to them. But we again,
• 24:06
Speaker 13: we work all over West Virginia. I'm a seventh generation
• 24:10
Speaker 13: West Virginia. The fact that I'm very proud of and
• 24:14
Speaker 13: just love this state and love what it's done for us,
• 24:17
Speaker 13: and we've got folks ready to put them to work.
• 24:20
Speaker 13: One of the things we like to do, Dave, is
• 24:21
Speaker 13: bring what I call transplanted West Virginians, West Virginians that
• 24:25
Speaker 13: are in Charlotte or Cleveland or Washington, DC, or wherever
• 24:29
Speaker 13: they may have had to go to get work. We
• 24:31
Speaker 13: love to bring those folks back, and we've got jobs
• 24:34
Speaker 13: right now for them. So if you or a family
• 24:37
Speaker 13: member knows somebody that would love to get back to
• 24:39
Speaker 13: West Virginia, have them call me.
• 24:41
Speaker 3: And we'll give you the contact information at the end
• 24:43
Speaker 3: of the segment here. One of the things I saw
• 24:45
Speaker 3: that you did, and it kind of piqued my interest
• 24:48
Speaker 3: because of my being a native Logan County, is you
• 24:52
Speaker 3: just completed a project down there a couple of months ago.
• 24:55
Speaker 3: It's built as the states first veteran focused affordable housing project,
• 25:00
Speaker 3: and I Actually, the last time I was in La
• 25:02
Speaker 3: as we called it, the natives call it La. Last
• 25:05
Speaker 3: time I was in La, I drove by and I
• 25:07
Speaker 3: took a look at that building. It's right in the
• 25:08
Speaker 3: heart of downtown Logan. That is an impressive, impressive facility.
• 25:12
Speaker 3: And I know you worked with some folks that I
• 25:14
Speaker 3: know very well down there talk about that project.
• 25:17
Speaker 13: Well, that was a fabulous project, just one we were
• 25:20
Speaker 13: blessed to be affiliated with. It is indeed the first
• 25:25
Speaker 13: veterans focused affordable housing project in the entire state of
• 25:30
Speaker 13: West Virginia. I just commend the folks in Logan, the
• 25:33
Speaker 13: mayor and his entire team. They couldn't have been more
• 25:38
Speaker 13: helpful to us day. They just they cleared out rocks
• 25:42
Speaker 13: that were in the road, obstacles that kept the project
• 25:46
Speaker 13: from happening. They helped remove those. Our client AU associates
• 25:50
Speaker 13: from Lexington. The vision and foresight they had to bring
• 25:54
Speaker 13: this kind of affordable housing to West Virginia with the
• 25:58
Speaker 13: help of our friends at the West Virginia Housing Fund.
• 26:00
Speaker 13: It couldn't happen without the folks at the Fund making
• 26:04
Speaker 13: the tax credits available. And it is fully leased. It
• 26:09
Speaker 13: was almost fully leased the day it opened, and it's
• 26:12
Speaker 13: just a wonderful modern facility that provides great housing for veterans.
• 26:18
Speaker 3: It would be nice, and that's a fantastic facility. Would
• 26:21
Speaker 3: be nice we could see a few more of those
• 26:23
Speaker 3: around the state of West Virginia, because John, as you
• 26:25
Speaker 3: well know, West Virginia has given more per capita than
• 26:28
Speaker 3: any other state in the entire nation that have fought
• 26:31
Speaker 3: and died for our country, and for the ones that
• 26:34
Speaker 3: are still around, we need to do what we can
• 26:36
Speaker 3: to help them out. That's one of the things that
• 26:37
Speaker 3: I really respect about your company, John, is that you
• 26:41
Speaker 3: do go the extra mile for our veterans, and I'd
• 26:44
Speaker 3: love to have about five to ten more of those
• 26:45
Speaker 3: around the state of West Virginia.
• 26:47
Speaker 13: That's indeed, it'd be wonderful. We have several veterans that
• 26:49
Speaker 13: worked or retired from our company. It's hard for me
• 26:52
Speaker 13: to believe, Dave, that I've got folks that are actually
• 26:55
Speaker 13: retiring from Jarrett Construction. It seems like yesterday that I
• 27:00
Speaker 13: was sweating who's going to buy the first box of
• 27:03
Speaker 13: paper clips for the company, And now now we've actually
• 27:07
Speaker 13: got guys that are retiring. And again, we've just been
• 27:10
Speaker 13: blessed and Without that team that surrounds me, we would
• 27:15
Speaker 13: not We just wouldn't be here today.
• 27:17
Speaker 3: I'm talking with John Jared to Jared Construction. Another thing
• 27:20
Speaker 3: that I think that I have a lot of respect
• 27:22
Speaker 3: for your company for doing is you'd like to do
• 27:24
Speaker 3: things to honor our first responders from time to time.
• 27:27
Speaker 3: And one of those, I think you're going to have
• 27:30
Speaker 3: a celebration of sorts in Huntington coming up. You've done
• 27:33
Speaker 3: these in Charleston in the past, but now you're going
• 27:35
Speaker 3: to do something for the folks of Huntington. Talk about
• 27:37
Speaker 3: what you're doing for first responders.
• 27:39
Speaker 13: Fantastic, Dave yes, sir. Next Wednesday at noon, we are
• 27:43
Speaker 13: having a first responder celebration at our affordable housing project
• 27:47
Speaker 13: on Eighth Avenue. So if you can hear my voice
• 27:50
Speaker 13: and you're in the Huntington area, please feel free. If
• 27:53
Speaker 13: you're a first responder, please feel free to stop by.
• 27:56
Speaker 13: We're going to treat you to lunch. You know, first
• 27:58
Speaker 13: responders mean so much to us and take care of
• 28:02
Speaker 13: us and our time and need, and we have an
• 28:04
Speaker 13: opportunity with this project to provide lunch for them and
• 28:09
Speaker 13: show them how much we appreciate them. So we hope
• 28:12
Speaker 13: that they all can attend. We did this a few
• 28:15
Speaker 13: years ago here at our project out at South Ridge
• 28:19
Speaker 13: behind Bible Center Church. We had to Charleston and South
• 28:24
Speaker 13: Charleston first responders attended that and we're able to continue
• 28:27
Speaker 13: that this year in Huntington on Eighth Avenue at the
• 28:32
Speaker 13: new affordable housing complex we're building.
• 28:34

Speaker 3: Good morning. Welcome to the show. Mayor.
• 35:15
Speaker 5: Hey, good morning, Dave. How you doing.
• 35:16
Speaker 3: I'm doing fine, man, Thanks for coming on. I know
• 35:19
Speaker 3: you have two big days of events coming up this
• 35:22
Speaker 3: Friday and Saturday in Bell, and we'll get to those
• 35:24
Speaker 3: in a moment, but I first want to ask you otherwise,
• 35:26
Speaker 3: what's going on in the town of Bell. What's good
• 35:28
  Speaker 3: these days?
• 35:29
Speaker 5: Okay, Dave, I appreciate that. And things have been going
• 35:33
Speaker 5: fairly well. And we've actually just let out a contract
• 35:40
Speaker 5: with GAI Consultants through the Regional inter Governmental Council trying
• 35:46
Speaker 5: to just look at putting in some new street lights
• 35:50
Speaker 5: through BAIL and just kind of sprucing up the DuPont
• 35:55
Speaker 5: Avenue through bail. Tom it go ahead, work a little
• 36:00
Speaker 5: better and everything. And then we've also let out a contract.
• 36:04
Speaker 5: We've got a Muria in Bell that's got an old
• 36:06
Speaker 5: West Virginia map on it with Bell marked in the
• 36:09
Speaker 5: middle or in the place where Bell is. And from that,
• 36:15
Speaker 5: we've actually had a contract to have to paint a
• 36:17
Speaker 5: new murial on Bell. What's a couple other towns around
• 36:21
Speaker 5: us have done so too, So so we're really trying
• 36:24
Speaker 5: to canna spruce up DuPont Avenue. And then here lately
• 36:29
Speaker 5: we've had some older dilapidated structures that has actually been
• 36:34
Speaker 5: torn down, so so we really feel like some good
• 36:38
  Speaker 5: things are happening.
• 36:40
Speaker 3: Talking to Dave Fletcher from the town of Bell, I'm
• 36:42
Speaker 3: gonna give you an opportunity to sell your town a
• 36:44
Speaker 3: little bit, not literally, mayor, but why should we people
• 36:47
Speaker 3: are looking at coming into the area, or maybe they're
• 36:50
Speaker 3: unhappy with where they live. Give me a cell job.
• 36:52
Speaker 3: Why should people live in bell Well?
• 36:55
Speaker 5: I think with us, it's the old small town, the atmosphere.
• 37:00
Speaker 5: We've got good police protection, we've got good trash and
• 37:05
Speaker 5: garbage services and street department services. We've got a great
• 37:10
Speaker 5: fire department. I got a few businesses here in Bail
• 37:15
Speaker 5: that and we've actually just picked up a new business
• 37:20
Speaker 5: that's getting ready to open here probably within the month.
• 37:24
Speaker 5: A gentleman bringing in a hair salon in a barbershop
• 37:30
Speaker 5: so you know, we've got the funeral home that's been
• 37:33
Speaker 5: here since back in the I think forties, Boyd Caterpillar
• 37:40
Speaker 5: here with the Caterpillar dealership. Heres had some job openings
• 37:47
Speaker 5: and everything right above bail. We've had Oxyer Welding come
• 37:51
Speaker 5: in here from the Dixie area, So I think the
• 37:55
Speaker 5: area is starting to move somewhat.
• 37:57

• 38:10
Speaker 3: get to this fall festival, if I'm correct, Mayor of Vents,
• 38:12
Speaker 3: are going on both Friday evening and all day Saturday.
• 38:14
Speaker 5: Is that right, Yes, sir. We will start actually at
• 38:19
Speaker 5: noon on Friday and start out. We've got actually about
• 38:24
Speaker 5: forty vendors or so that's coming into town. That will
• 38:29
Speaker 5: be food vendors, it will be craft vendors. We've got
• 38:33
Speaker 5: pastries things like that, and you know, but just a
• 38:39
Speaker 5: good time, you know. By all we've got a couple
• 38:43
Speaker 5: of politicians that will set up some boosts that are
• 38:46
Speaker 5: running in the fall election. And then from there, we've
• 38:50
Speaker 5: actually got our plans being Arkland Chemical which was the
• 38:57
Speaker 5: old Bell Chemical company at the kim Orris Plan. We'll
• 39:01
Speaker 5: be setting up and doing some things there. The local
• 39:04
Speaker 5: bank here in town, Whitefield State Bank will be set
• 39:07
Speaker 5: up promoting their products and things and other vendors coming in.
• 39:13
Speaker 5: And then with that we'll have some entertainment later on
• 39:17
Speaker 5: in the evening. We've got actually Josh Pantry, who's a
• 39:21
Speaker 5: local guy here, went to local schools here and everything
• 39:25
Speaker 5: from up Campbell's Creek. And then that'll be from five
• 39:30
Speaker 5: point thirty to seven, and then we'll have from eight
• 39:33
Speaker 5: to ten o'clock. We've got the Exiles, which is an
• 39:36
Speaker 5: older band from the East Bank area, so they'll close
• 39:40
Speaker 5: out the night. Then we'll open back up Saturday morning.
• 39:45
Speaker 5: The big thing, especially with the de Walk that's gone
• 39:48
Speaker 5: away in Charleston, we've had our car show here the
• 39:53
Speaker 5: last few years, and we will actually start registration at
• 39:57
Speaker 5: nine o'clock in the morning and that will until three o'clock.
• 40:02
Speaker 5: With that being said, you know throughout today and everything,
• 40:06
Speaker 5: we'll have a DJ. We'll have fifty to fifty tickets
• 40:10
Speaker 5: we'll be giving away trophies and plaques and everything for
• 40:13
Speaker 5: the cars. So the last couple of years we've built
• 40:17
Speaker 5: that from about sixty to eighty. We're hoping for one
• 40:21
Speaker 5: hundred or more this year. And then throughout today Oliver
• 40:26
Speaker 5: Vendors will be open and then ending up the evening,
• 40:31
Speaker 5: we've got Hard Rain, which is a local gentleman from
• 40:34
Speaker 5: six thirty to seven thirty here in Bail, and then
• 40:38
Speaker 5: we've got the world famous Rick Kay's Road Show, which
• 40:42
Speaker 5: you've been around here for many years, especially in South
• 40:46
Speaker 5: Charleston there everything at Summerfest, and they'll actually play from
• 40:50
Speaker 5: eight to nine thirty and we'll close everything down around
• 40:54
Speaker 5: ten o'clock Saturday night.
• 40:56
Speaker 3: Are you still the need of vendors, Mayor if somebody
• 40:58
Speaker 3: has that they want to get a booth, can and
• 41:00
  Speaker 3: they still do.
• 41:00
Speaker 5: That, they still can and will Mark Samara is off
• 41:04
Speaker 5: and if they come in then they can actually you know,
• 41:08
Speaker 5: come in and actually with that we're selling those twelve
• 41:12
Speaker 5: but twelve spots for twenty five dollars for a registration fee,
• 41:17
Speaker 5: and then we ask them to bring their table and everything.
• 41:21
Speaker 5: We've got some with power and we've got some many
• 41:25
  Speaker 5: without power.
• 41:27
Speaker 3: And I know the weather. Of course, it's raining here
• 41:29
Speaker 3: and everybody's welcoming the weather right now because we need
• 41:32
Speaker 3: the rain. And it looks like that Friday is going
• 41:34
Speaker 3: to be the rainiest day, and the weather forecaster is
• 41:36
Speaker 3: telling me that by Saturday, just a couple of spotty showers.
• 41:39
  Speaker 3: Because I know, I got a brother in law it's
• 41:41
Speaker 3: all into the car show thing, and I know that
• 41:43
Speaker 3: they're kind of a particular about that bringing their cars out.
• 41:46
Speaker 3: But it looks like though by Saturday that things should
• 41:50
Speaker 3: be should be good to go there.
• 41:52
Speaker 5: Hopefully, Yeah, and we are hoping for the same thing
• 41:56
Speaker 5: to Dave. And you know, with us, you know, we
• 41:59
Speaker 5: can always move the entertainment in the evening into City
• 42:03
Speaker 5: Hall and do everything in the gymnasium and the stage area,
• 42:08
Speaker 5: which is you know, pretty good for us, especially for
• 42:10
Speaker 5: the vendors or for the music. But the vendors, you know,
• 42:14
Speaker 5: are the ones that we're really worried about making sure that,
• 42:18
Speaker 5: you know, if they come up and you know, invest
• 42:21
Speaker 5: some time with us here in town. We want to
• 42:23
Speaker 5: see him, you know, do well.
• 42:26
Speaker 3: Mayor where's the best place to get information? I know
• 42:28
Speaker 3: I've got some stuff off of your social media pages.
• 42:30
Speaker 3: I know that. Is it the town of the Town
• 42:34
Speaker 3: of Bill on their Facebook page or what's the best
• 42:36

• 42:37
Speaker 5: Yes, sir, and we do have a Bill Town Festival
• 42:44
Speaker 5: and Car Show web page or Facebook page, and then
• 42:48
Speaker 5: we've got it under my Facebook page, David Fletcher. There's

• 46:48
Speaker 3: before they set out on the road, and I think
• 46:51
Speaker 3: they'll travel tomorrow. Then their next game at York would
• 46:54
Speaker 3: be on Friday. That's when the series will resume. Jill
• 46:57
Speaker 3: Garren live at Gomart Ballpark. Jill, good morning, walking to
• 46:59
  Speaker 3: the show.
• 47:01
  Speaker 7: Good morning, Dave.
• 47:02
Speaker 3: Let's recap game one. It not ended like we wanted,
• 47:05
Speaker 3: but to give us a recap.
• 47:06
Speaker 7: Anyway, No, it was rough. I mean, I barely want
• 47:10
Speaker 7: to talk about it, to be honest. If you the
• 47:12
Speaker 7: big thing that the Dirty Birds didn't do, we didn't
• 47:14
Speaker 7: hit only one hit for the entire game. Is impressive
• 47:18
Speaker 7: that we score three runs outside of that, but in
• 47:22
Speaker 7: Game four we had seventeen hits last week, so we
• 47:26
Speaker 7: know we can hit. We just need to come back
• 47:28
Speaker 7: strong tonight and we'll be just okay.
• 47:31
Speaker 3: And onto Game two tonight is in six point thirty five,
• 47:34
Speaker 3: first pitch at Gomart Ballpark, and we do want to
• 47:38
Speaker 3: you know, stress that although we have this rain, nobody's
• 47:40
Speaker 3: going to complain about the rain. Playing on the turf
• 47:42
Speaker 3: unless there's lightning. Playing on the turf has a lot
• 47:45
Speaker 3: of advantages Jill, exactly.
• 47:47
Speaker 7: I mean it was poorn yesterday afternoon. It was raining
• 47:50
Speaker 7: at some point during the game pretty consistently, but we
• 47:53
Speaker 7: didn't have any delays at all. So if you want
• 47:56
Speaker 7: to see baseball, we're going to have baseball. We really
• 47:58
Speaker 7: want people to come out because this is our last
• 48:00
Speaker 7: home game no matter what, until twenty twenty five, So
• 48:04
Speaker 7: that is your last chance to see baseball in Charles.
• 48:06
Speaker 3: And again you're continuing the promos that you did last week.
• 48:09
Speaker 3: Kids twelve and hundred bit of free bark into park

• 48:13
Speaker 3: like two dollars beer, popcorn, sodas, et cetera, all at
• 48:16
Speaker 3: the ballpark tonight. And again that's a really good point, Joe.
• 48:18
Speaker 3: I didn't think about this is the last opportunity, one
• 48:21
Speaker 3: way or the other for people to see the Dirty Birds,
• 48:23
Speaker 3: because you know the series is is going to switch
• 48:26
Speaker 3: to York and if they wrap it up, which we
• 48:27
Speaker 3: hope they will, it will be on the road. Six
• 48:30
Speaker 3: thirty five, first pitch night, and remind folks if they
• 48:32
Speaker 3: can't make it, we want people there. But if they
• 48:34
Speaker 3: can't make it, where can they see the game?
• 48:36
Speaker 7: If you can't make it, you can watch the game
• 48:38
Speaker 7: on Flow Baseball. I'll be broadcasting all nine innings of
• 48:41
  Speaker 7: tonight's game.
• 48:42
Speaker 3: But we do want to have you there, Jill, get
• 48:44
Speaker 3: out there and work with the boys, all right, and
• 48:46
Speaker 3: tell them what they need to do tonight. All right,
• 48:47
Speaker 3: we'll talk again soon.
• 48:48
Speaker 7: Thanks a lot, absolutely, Thanks Dave.

Speaker 3: on the West Side. Something like one hundred different beers
• 49:12
Speaker 3: are going to be available, lots of food, trucks, games,
• 49:14
Speaker 3: two musical stages. Who'll bed an epic day. And you
• 49:18
Speaker 3: can go back and listen to the interview I did
• 49:19
Speaker 3: with Rick Cavender from yesterday show. Rick. Of course, this
• 49:22
Speaker 3: is kind of Rick's baby. Rick is the executive director
• 49:25
Speaker 3: of Charleston Urban Works. That's where the proceeds go. Our
• 49:27
Speaker 3: stations will be there. I'll be there starting around three
• 49:30
Speaker 3: o'clock or so Saturday afternoon, representing our sister station nine
• 49:33
Speaker 3: eight seven A mountain, wild and wonderful classic Rocks. We
• 49:35
Speaker 3: look forward to seeing everyone out there. A couple of
• 49:38
Speaker 3: quick items I want to get to before we close
• 49:40
Speaker 3: the show. One of those involves the bus system here
• 49:43
Speaker 3: in the Charleston area of KART. Coming up this afternoon,
• 49:47
Speaker 3: the Kanaul Valley Regional Transportation Authority Board will present their
• 49:50
Speaker 3: finalized plan for the proposed changes coming for KRT. That
• 49:54
Speaker 3: meeting starts at four o'clock this afternoon at the KRT headquarters,
• 49:58
Speaker 3: which is at fifteen fifty fourth Avenue, Charleston. This is
• 50:01
Speaker 3: for public comment, with a final vote to being taken
• 50:04
Speaker 3: by the board tomorrow morning during their board meeting. This
• 50:08
Speaker 3: thing has kind of gone back and forth. Originally, there
• 50:10
Speaker 3: was a proposed plan that would call for the elimination
• 50:13
Speaker 3: of up to eleven or so of the less popular
• 50:15
Speaker 3: bus routes, and then that kind of got changed by
• 50:18
Speaker 3: subcommittee who said, rather than just eliminating the routes, why
• 50:21
Speaker 3: don't we just cut back on the number of trips
• 50:24
Speaker 3: that are made each day. And there've been all kinds
• 50:26
Speaker 3: of other ideas that talked about possibly eliminating Sunday service altogether.
• 50:30
Speaker 3: This is a public meeting tonight, folks. It is a
• 50:32
Speaker 3: chance for the public to weigh in before the final meeting,
• 50:35
Speaker 3: which will be their board meeting tomorrow morning. This afternoon's
• 50:38
Speaker 3: meeting starts at four, should wrap up around five point
• 50:40
Speaker 3: thirty at the Kart headquarters and again that is located
• 50:44
Speaker 3: at fifteen to fifty fourth Avenue in Charleston. So if
• 50:46
Speaker 3: you've got a concern, they've had other public meetings, this
• 50:49
Speaker 3: is the final one though before the board meeting, and
• 50:52
Speaker 3: it is set for four o'clock this afternoon at their headquarters.
• 50:54
Speaker 3: So get out there and make your voice heard one
• 50:57
Speaker 3: way or the other. I want to close with this.
• 50:59
Speaker 3: This is an IDA is making news on the national
• 51:01
Speaker 3: front this morning. There is a Haitian group in Springfield,
• 51:07
Speaker 3: Ohio that have filed what they hope will be criminal
• 51:10
Speaker 3: charges against former President Donald Trump and vice presidential candidate
• 51:14
Speaker 3: j D Vance for the claims they have made about
• 51:17
Speaker 3: the Haitian immigration situation in Springfield, Ohio. Now, this is
• 51:21
Speaker 3: a nonprofit group that represents the Haitian community there. They're
• 51:25
Speaker 3: called the Haitian Bridge Alliance. Legal experts say that charges
• 51:31
Speaker 3: like this are very rare but not unheard of. Trump
• 51:33
Speaker 3: and Vance are accused of disrupting public services, making false alarms.
• 51:39
Speaker 3: This is the official legalese here, disrupting public services, making
• 51:43
Speaker 3: false alarms, telecommunications harassment, aggravated menacing, and complicity. Now the
• 51:49
Speaker 3: group is asking for the court system there in Springfield,
• 51:52
Speaker 3: Ohio to find probable cause and to issue warrants for
• 51:57
Speaker 3: both former President Trump and Vance. There are somewhere between
• 52:03
Speaker 3: fifteen to twenty thousand Haitian immigrants in Springfield that in
• 52:06
Speaker 3: most cases were recruited there by the employers because they
• 52:10
Speaker 3: couldn't find the locals to fill the jobs. Most of
• 52:13
Speaker 3: the workers have been granted timporary protected status to be
• 52:17
Speaker 3: in the US legally. And since Trump talked about the
• 52:20
Speaker 3: eating of the pets, not true, by the way, there
• 52:23
Speaker 3: have been over thirty bomb threats directed at state and
• 52:26
Speaker 3: local government buildings and schools in Springfield. Words indeed have consequences.
• 52:33
Speaker 3: My thanks to John Jarrett and Millie Snyder and Mayor Fletcher,
• 52:37
Speaker 3: and also Jill Garrifer joining me. Coming up tomorrow show
• 52:39
Speaker 3: we're talking national debt, plus Brian Dayton from the State
