- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous Podcast with iHeartRadio Bob. This
- 0:05Speaker 1: is an exciting day.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I love bringing all of my Special Forces cast members
- 0:09Speaker 2: in and today for Almost Famous ogs, we've got Denise Richards.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yay, welcome to the show. Denise Richards.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Thank you for having me.
- 0:21Speaker 5: Oh, we're so excited. Thanks for carving out time. I
- 0:24Speaker 5: know the two of you look absolutely stunning. You guys
- 0:26Speaker 5: have been so busy today already doing press press for
- 0:29Speaker 5: Special Forces. This is exciting. I'm very excited. Trista is
- 0:33Speaker 5: going to have some great questions for you. But I
- 0:35Speaker 5: just have one thing to say. I tried to see
- 0:38Speaker 5: you on Friday. We both did the Jeff Lewis Live
- 0:40Speaker 5: Show on Friday and I was walking out as your
- 0:43Speaker 5: team was coming in.
- 0:44Speaker 3: I was going to prepare you.
- 0:45Speaker 5: I was going to tell you it's pretty it's drama
- 0:47Speaker 5: packed in there. So I know.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I love Jeff. I've done it too quite a few times,
- 0:53Speaker 4: as you have too.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah he's a good friend.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I know, he's so great. I know I
- 0:59Speaker 6: was sorry that I we missed each other.
- 1:01Speaker 3: I know I loved it.
- 1:03Speaker 5: I would have loved it. But you look great, and
- 1:05Speaker 5: we're so excited to have you on. I mean, I
- 1:07Speaker 5: know it's been there's a lot of press probably already today,
- 1:11Speaker 5: and a lot more to go. Plus you guys are
- 1:12Speaker 5: dealing with the fires in LA, which has got Trista
- 1:15Speaker 5: very scared as the as the wife of a firefighter,
- 1:18Speaker 5: she's yeah, she's ground zero for getting that fire put
- 1:21Speaker 5: out stat which I'm thankful for.
- 1:25Speaker 2: No, as my husband, Denise, I texted Ryan and I said,
- 1:28Speaker 2: there's a there's a fire somewhere near here, and he's like, well,
- 1:31Speaker 2: steer clear.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I'm like, that's all he had for you. He's a firefighter, forgot.
- 1:37Speaker 1: That.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I'm sure he trusts in the LA Fire Department. So
- 1:42Speaker 2: it's all good.
- 1:43Speaker 1: So Denise, I'm so excited to talk. We obviously can't.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Talk about where you know the ending for anybody, including ourselves,
- 1:53Speaker 2: but I know that you were just on Jeff Lewis
- 1:58Speaker 2: and talked talked about your your medical uh.
- 2:04Speaker 4: My implants.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Like yeah, my implants, go.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Yes, my implants.
- 2:12Speaker 6: And then Trista, you know of another thing that I
- 2:14Speaker 6: had happened to the same task that caused the implants.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I had.
- 2:22Speaker 6: Repaired uh a few years prior to doing the show.
- 2:28Speaker 6: I had four hernias, two in Greenland two for Mooral.
- 2:32Speaker 6: So they had thought that I something when a little
- 2:37Speaker 6: stageways with one of those that ended up not being that,
- 2:40Speaker 6: which was great. There was something else, but and on
- 2:43Speaker 6: top of it, I did burst my implants and I
- 2:46Speaker 6: was too embarrassed to even tell.
- 2:51Speaker 4: The DS like, by the way, I think my boobs popped.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't want to say anything. And I knew
- 3:01Speaker 6: I was Mike still and.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I was wondering. I was like, I don't remember you
- 3:08Speaker 1: saying anything.
- 3:09Speaker 6: I want to say anything. I have the MIC on
- 3:12Speaker 6: and I didn't. I don't know, like what, who listens
- 3:16Speaker 6: to what?
- 3:17Speaker 4: Whatever? And I just thought, oh god, I just think that.
- 3:20Speaker 6: I think they would look at me and be like,
- 3:23Speaker 6: I don't even know what they would have said.
- 3:25Speaker 4: So I would doing Paris even say anything.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, were you in pain? I got to
- 3:31Speaker 3: imagine you were in pain or or I.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Was, but I was more in pain with what I
- 3:36Speaker 6: thought was harning a third situation, which it turned out
- 3:41Speaker 6: to be I had to have an MRI when I
- 3:43Speaker 6: got back to La, but it was you know, I'm fine,
- 3:48Speaker 6: but I think my whole body was in pain from
- 3:52Speaker 6: this man.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But yes, I would say pain like I've never experienced
- 3:59Speaker 2: you. You know how they say, like those bar classes, you
- 4:02Speaker 2: know that you've never used those muscles before. Those are
- 4:05Speaker 2: like little teeny tiny muscles that you've never used before.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But this is like big, huge muscles that you've never
- 4:11Speaker 2: used before, and as much as you'd ever used them,
- 4:14Speaker 2: you know on this show. Okay, So I would love
- 4:20Speaker 2: to know, Like, we just did this satellite media tour
- 4:23Speaker 2: and everyone asked pretty much the same questions, So I
- 4:25Speaker 2: don't want to ask the same questions that we've been
- 4:27Speaker 2: asked before. But is there any funny memory that you
- 4:32Speaker 2: have from the show, because listen, we know that it
- 4:35Speaker 2: was hard. We are we are talking all about how
- 4:38Speaker 2: it was hard and the most challenging thing we've ever done.
- 4:42Speaker 2: And but I really would love to know if there's
- 4:45Speaker 2: any like funny moment like and I can share one
- 4:48Speaker 2: with you if you want me to get you started.
- 4:50Speaker 2: But do you remember anything funny that happened that you
- 4:53Speaker 2: look back at it and you're like, that is hysterical.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Yes, I remember us being in the car with Cam
- 5:00Speaker 6: Newton and Golden Tate and we were talking about kids
- 5:05Speaker 6: and Numbhn mentioned twins, and I believe you asked him
- 5:11Speaker 6: a question about that and he explained something.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Well, we asked Pam how many kids he had, and
- 5:18Speaker 2: he was telling us what the ages Okay, keep going.
- 5:21Speaker 6: Well, so that was a very funny moment. I don't
- 5:24Speaker 6: know if they're going to air that. I hope they do.
- 5:26Speaker 6: I hope they.
- 5:28Speaker 2: There's no way, there's no way they'll air that. That's why
- 5:31Speaker 2: I want to ask the like these kinds of questions
- 5:34Speaker 2: and get into this.
- 5:35Speaker 6: Actually, I would think they would have to or would
- 5:40Speaker 6: want to air some of the things that because the
- 5:43Speaker 6: previous seasons I recall there would be bigger groups in
- 5:47Speaker 6: the vehicles going from where everyone was to get to
- 5:52Speaker 6: the task of doing what they had to do. And
- 5:56Speaker 6: I don't recall them having so many vehicles where there
- 5:59Speaker 6: was three or four people in them. And so that's
- 6:02Speaker 6: you know, I think those moments in the cars going
- 6:09Speaker 6: back and forth, those are my most memorable moments and
- 6:14Speaker 6: totally fun. Everyone tired us putting our legs across on
- 6:19Speaker 6: each other's laps.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Just to and we didn't care.
- 6:22Speaker 6: It was just and you know, it was just nice
- 6:26Speaker 6: that we all just helped each other and we were
- 6:28Speaker 6: just there to support one another.
- 6:30Speaker 4: And I just loved all that part. I really did.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, I totally agree. I thought it was amazing.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I remember being in the like the mess hall or
- 6:44Speaker 2: wherever they call where we eat, and Cam didn't know
- 6:48Speaker 2: who I was, and I don't know who told him
- 6:51Speaker 2: that I got married on television and he was like what,
- 6:56Speaker 2: you know, like, Louk, who are you talking about? The
- 7:00Speaker 2: first bachelorette? And it was so funny, just like he was.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Blown away by that.
- 7:07Speaker 3: He couldn't it.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 7:12Speaker 6: It was so funny talking to everybody, and you know,
- 7:16Speaker 6: hearing Carrie Hart has all his accidents and his you know,
- 7:23Speaker 6: all the bones he's broken, and I'm like, and you're
- 7:25Speaker 6: still here like doing this, like I can't believe it.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Yeah, crazy, it is crazy. It was. I felt so
- 7:35Speaker 4: out of place there because showing up.
- 7:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm like, oh my gosh, look at all these athletes.
- 7:42Speaker 6: You know, I'm I don't care if I'm twenty or eighty.
- 7:46Speaker 6: I'm not an athlete. And bloodies doesn't really cut it.
- 7:51Speaker 6: So you know, it's just different, a different thing.
- 7:56Speaker 4: It's so different.
- 7:58Speaker 5: Well, I was going to ask you too, you know,
- 7:59Speaker 5: going into a show like this and Tristan and I
- 8:02Speaker 5: have talked about it a lot because I I feel like,
- 8:05Speaker 5: growing up, you know, watching you know, different movies and stuff,
- 8:08Speaker 5: you're aways like, I wonder if I could do that
- 8:09Speaker 5: kind of training. I wonder if I could get through it.
- 8:11Speaker 5: And you know, what was your primary motivation for it?
- 8:14Speaker 5: I mean, I know Trista's was a lot of you know,
- 8:16Speaker 5: the internal of wanting to prove to herself she could
- 8:18Speaker 5: do it.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Was that kind of what it was for you too?
- 8:21Speaker 5: Is it one of those things where you're like, I'm
- 8:22Speaker 5: just going to go after this and show it was some.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Physically I wanted to do it.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I thought, Okay, I am really going to challenge myself
- 8:30Speaker 6: doing this as soon as I had three weeks to
- 8:32Speaker 6: get ready. And like I said, the plots didn't cut it,
- 8:36Speaker 6: but that helps me with balance and stuff like that.
- 8:38Speaker 4: But this is a whole different level. So I hired.
- 8:42Speaker 6: This amazing trainer at this gym it's called Proactive out
- 8:47Speaker 6: in Westlake, and it is incredible and they train a
- 8:50Speaker 6: lot of athletes and they have you know, a treadmill
- 8:54Speaker 6: that's got water in it.
- 8:56Speaker 4: They have, Yeah, they had two room.
- 9:00Speaker 6: I worked out every like five to six days a week.
- 9:05Speaker 6: The three weeks that I had. I hit it so hard,
- 9:08Speaker 6: like two hours a day. They have a chef there,
- 9:10Speaker 6: they have all this stuff for recovery. And I'll tell
- 9:14Speaker 6: you if if it wasn't for me working out there,
- 9:16Speaker 6: there is no way I would have even held on one.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Second on that helicopter. That is the truth.
- 9:23Speaker 6: I couldn't do a hole up when I started my
- 9:28Speaker 6: you know, I've worked out my whole life, but like
- 9:31Speaker 6: I said, pilates is very different than even with that, I.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Still could never do a pull up.
- 9:37Speaker 6: But so I was able to do a pull up
- 9:40Speaker 6: after working out before we did this show. But I
- 9:43Speaker 6: clearly was having a hard time on that hell on computer.
- 9:46Speaker 4: But at least I hold on. I would never have
- 9:48Speaker 4: been the hold on.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, the previews are terrifying.
- 9:53Speaker 5: I mean the previous are enough to make me like
- 9:54Speaker 5: lose my mind watching this whole thing.
- 9:57Speaker 3: You know, every time it comes out, I'm like, oh
- 9:58Speaker 3: my god, be quiet, kids.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just been crazy to see, you know, all
- 10:03Speaker 5: of you accomplish some of these feats that I consider
- 10:07Speaker 5: myself to still be in relatively decent shape, and I
- 10:09Speaker 5: don't think I could have done it.
- 10:12Speaker 4: It's different.
- 10:13Speaker 6: It's not like and like, even with Tristia and I
- 10:16Speaker 6: talking about the running, it's not like we're on a
- 10:19Speaker 6: flat area to run, right, it is. There's rocks, there's holes,
- 10:25Speaker 6: that's a you climb up, a mountain, you go down.
- 10:28Speaker 4: It's that you're all over the place.
- 10:29Speaker 6: And I felt so stupid because I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 10:33Speaker 6: I can't even keep up with the running.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I was selfishly relieved that I had you to help.
- 10:41Speaker 6: We were we were ahead of everyone together, so that
- 10:45Speaker 6: made me feel better.
- 10:53Speaker 2: No, And you know, I wonder how you feel about
- 10:56Speaker 2: this because the show is all about personal competition, right
- 11:02Speaker 2: They say, you're not competing against anyone else, You're competing
- 11:06Speaker 2: against just yourself, And yes you are. But I'm a
- 11:11Speaker 2: competitive person, and I feel like just having other people
- 11:17Speaker 2: there that are doing better than me, or worse than
- 11:21Speaker 2: me or whatever, I feel like it's hard to get
- 11:24Speaker 2: away from not competing against the other people. So I
- 11:28Speaker 2: wanted to do well because I wanted to not look
- 11:33Speaker 2: like I was in the last place every single time,
- 11:36Speaker 2: you know, and there is a little bit of that
- 11:38Speaker 2: competition in me. How did you feel Did you feel
- 11:42Speaker 2: like there was ever a time where you were not
- 11:46Speaker 2: just competing against yourself.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Well, I of course knew that they would probably say,
- 11:54Speaker 6: I mean, she's not an athlete. We've all competed, some
- 11:59Speaker 6: have been in the Olympic, some have done are just
- 12:02Speaker 6: professional athletes. There's no comparison physically. I can't I will
- 12:06Speaker 6: never ever, I don't care how old I am or
- 12:09Speaker 6: how young I am, ever do that because it's not me.
- 12:14Speaker 6: So I feared as soon as they saw me, they'd
- 12:15Speaker 6: be like, okay, that's all.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Like I had nothing to live up to as it was.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Anyway, what I did, what I felt was I didn't
- 12:26Speaker 6: want to be the weak link totally in your group
- 12:29Speaker 6: because and that was that part was hard. I felt
- 12:33Speaker 6: like I was at times when we were doing certain
- 12:36Speaker 6: things that I was.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I didn't want to keep everyone behind same.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I get that.
- 12:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually you know, you opened the whole thing
- 12:45Speaker 5: by one of the things that I thought was a
- 12:47Speaker 5: really very sweet and vulnerable answer. By the way, when
- 12:50Speaker 5: when Trista was talking about your best and plant, you
- 12:53Speaker 5: were like, yeah, I was embarrassed.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I didn't want to say anything.
- 12:55Speaker 5: Part of me feels like that's part of it too, right,
- 12:57Speaker 5: I mean, these dull sergeants are like in your ear
- 13:01Speaker 5: you know, attacking everything that you're interferes. They know what
- 13:04Speaker 5: they are probably and and it's like, you know, you
- 13:06Speaker 5: have to possibly feel embarrassed or to feel like you're coming,
- 13:10Speaker 5: you're holding back the group.
- 13:11Speaker 3: That would be tough for me too. Yeah, I mean.
- 13:13Speaker 6: Never in a million years when I went into this,
- 13:16Speaker 6: and my older daughters were terrified that I decided to
- 13:19Speaker 6: do it, and they were not happy. They were so
- 13:22Speaker 6: scared I was gonna break bones or you know, something
- 13:27Speaker 6: never did across my mind. I wonder if I'll rupture
- 13:30Speaker 6: my implants on this. I didn't even think of that.
- 13:35Speaker 4: That was like, at least of my worries was my es.
- 13:39Speaker 6: So there was a moment where I kept asking to
- 13:44Speaker 6: see someone because I knew something.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Wasn't right, but it was yeah, No, I didn't even.
- 13:49Speaker 6: I just and I'm usually when I'm working, I am
- 13:53Speaker 6: very able to you know, be direct and talk to
- 13:58Speaker 6: people that I work with, and able to stand up
- 14:01Speaker 6: for myself. In this situation, I felt like I could not.
- 14:03Speaker 6: I felt like I couldn't even smile or laugh or
- 14:05Speaker 6: I would get yelled.
- 14:06Speaker 1: At and totally and if I got.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Yelled at, it would be fine, But I didn't want
- 14:11Speaker 6: to have everyone else to push ups because I did
- 14:14Speaker 6: something that pissed them off. So that was the other
- 14:17Speaker 6: thing where I felt like I couldn't really be my
- 14:20Speaker 6: self during those rules.
- 14:23Speaker 2: You can't ever because I feel like you know me,
- 14:26Speaker 2: you know me, and I want to crack a joke
- 14:28Speaker 2: every every so often, especially uncomfortable, and you can't. You
- 14:34Speaker 2: can't even like think about, oh crap, my jacket is
- 14:38Speaker 2: not zipped up all the way, or I don't have
- 14:40Speaker 2: my belt tightened, or like my shoes aren't aren't tied
- 14:45Speaker 2: like exactly as you have to pay so much attention
- 14:48Speaker 2: to detail that I feel like you just get lost
- 14:50Speaker 2: in the details, you know what I mean, Like you
- 14:52Speaker 2: who cares about who I am as a person? Like
- 14:55Speaker 2: it's all about like you have to be super focused
- 14:58Speaker 2: or else we are going to get yell that and
- 15:00Speaker 2: we are going to have to do push ups, you.
- 15:02Speaker 6: Know, absolutely, And we couldn't even around them be sarcastic
- 15:08Speaker 6: or crack jokes or you know, have fun, have a
- 15:11Speaker 6: sense of humor. It was we were all like just
- 15:16Speaker 6: not you know, it's it's a weird. It's such a
- 15:21Speaker 6: different situation on like anything any of us have ever
- 15:25Speaker 6: been in and I even think for the complicates that
- 15:27Speaker 6: are used to coaches that really push and push and push,
- 15:31Speaker 6: I feel that they even had a different experience too
- 15:34Speaker 6: with this with the DS as well, I do have.
- 15:47Speaker 2: To go back to like the funny comment, so like
- 15:50Speaker 2: how we can't be sarcastic or whatever. So for the bridge,
- 15:54Speaker 2: and I'm not spoiling anything because the bridge is something
- 15:57Speaker 2: that's on the trailer, but to get to the bridge,
- 15:59Speaker 2: you have to you have to run up the hill,
- 16:01Speaker 2: like the run up the side to get the bridge.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And the bridge was how far? How tall do you think.
- 16:07Speaker 4: That I googled the bridge after and you did? I did?
- 16:12Speaker 4: I not actually a few days ago, and if it's
- 16:15Speaker 4: the same.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Bridge, which it looked like it was, it said it
- 16:18Speaker 6: was three hundred feet off down.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Thirty stories right, thirty stories high, so.
- 16:24Speaker 4: It's quite freaking high.
- 16:25Speaker 1: It's quite high.
- 16:27Speaker 2: And so I'm running, you know, to get up to
- 16:30Speaker 2: where you get all hooked up and everything.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Which is very steep and rock which.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Is very steep, and the terrain is like there's rocks
- 16:38Speaker 2: and logs and crap everything.
- 16:39Speaker 5: You guys on all four like are you are you
- 16:41Speaker 5: almost like on all fours going up the.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Hill almost yeah, like you have to like grip into
- 16:47Speaker 2: the side of the mountain, the hill and no one's
- 16:51Speaker 2: around you, like, no one's pushing you. You're all by
- 16:54Speaker 2: yourself at least I was. So I run the side
- 16:58Speaker 2: of the hill, oh my gosh, and get to the
- 17:00Speaker 2: top and Q is up there. H Q is the
- 17:04Speaker 2: Navy seal And he was like, I get there and
- 17:08Speaker 2: you automatically get into attention and he's like, why are
- 17:13Speaker 2: you breathing so hard? Why did it take you so long?
- 17:15Speaker 1: And I was like, uh, because I have asthma and
- 17:18Speaker 1: I'm fifty one and I'm out of shape.
- 17:19Speaker 3: And he was like, you, that's awesome.
- 17:27Speaker 4: I love that.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I was like, well, honestly, because I have asthma, I'm
- 17:33Speaker 2: out of shape and I'm fifty one years old.
- 17:34Speaker 1: And he was like okay, and he walks away. It
- 17:37Speaker 1: was so funny.
- 17:38Speaker 4: That is hilarious.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Did they send you, guys your boots that you wear
- 17:41Speaker 5: on the show ahead of time so you could break
- 17:43Speaker 5: them in?
- 17:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, thank god.
- 17:46Speaker 4: My never fit.
- 17:47Speaker 6: I ordered my own because they sent two.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Sizes they didn't fit.
- 17:53Speaker 6: They were men's and they were they didn't fit me,
- 17:56Speaker 6: So I just ordered my own from the company so
- 17:59Speaker 6: I can get me.
- 18:01Speaker 2: That's so funny that you say that, because the same
- 18:04Speaker 2: thing happened to me. I'm pretty sure the same thing
- 18:06Speaker 2: happened to Ali. I wonder if they do that so
- 18:10Speaker 2: that you they have to keep postponing and so you
- 18:12Speaker 2: don't get to break them in situation.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Oh, I wonder why even give them to us at all?
- 18:19Speaker 2: Well, because we have to have the show. But you're right,
- 18:21Speaker 2: like mine, we're too big. Well, I was like, what
- 18:24Speaker 2: is happening here? Why can't they get these sizes right?
- 18:28Speaker 4: Like, well, they.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Didn't calculate because the side the boots are men's sizes,
- 18:33Speaker 6: and so they didn't.
- 18:34Speaker 1: But this is the third season doing the show.
- 18:37Speaker 6: I agree with you one thousand percent, and I was thinking,
- 18:41Speaker 6: is this a new company that they're using that you know, well,
- 18:44Speaker 6: we did we do do the fitting, you know when
- 18:46Speaker 6: we get there, and yeah, that part is the boots
- 18:50Speaker 6: were terrible and they're so uncomfortable.
- 18:52Speaker 4: They're heavy too, They're very heavy. But going back to Trista.
- 18:57Speaker 6: Climbing up to get to the bridge. This is the
- 18:59Speaker 6: thing when people watching the show, it's not just the
- 19:04Speaker 6: task of you're on the bridge and doing whatever. We
- 19:10Speaker 6: have to run and they make you climb out so
- 19:13Speaker 6: fast out of these vehicles, grab your stuff, throw it
- 19:16Speaker 6: on your back, and you have to run all the
- 19:19Speaker 6: way there. We're so winded by the time we get there.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Then to even get up to the bridge. When they
- 19:24Speaker 6: said I had to climb go this way, I go
- 19:26Speaker 6: which way?
- 19:27Speaker 4: They go? Right there? I go where? And that, I'm like,
- 19:30Speaker 4: how am I going to climb up that? It was
- 19:32Speaker 4: so steep.
- 19:33Speaker 6: I was practically on all fours and I was like
- 19:37Speaker 6: swearing going up there because I'm like, I can't even
- 19:40Speaker 6: get up this.
- 19:41Speaker 4: How on earth am I going to jump off here?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Oh?
- 19:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Oh my god? That would drive me crazy.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Actually, another funny story from the bridge is, and I
- 19:53Speaker 2: don't know if this makes you recall anything that happened
- 19:58Speaker 2: with you, but when I got to the bridge, I'm
- 19:59Speaker 2: all hooked up, and Foxy, you know, is up there
- 20:01Speaker 2: and he's like, okay, turn around, and he knew I
- 20:04Speaker 2: had a pretty healthy fear of heights.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I don't think I'm as fearful.
- 20:08Speaker 2: As you were or Kayla. You know, I feel like
- 20:10Speaker 2: there were some people who are really scared of heights.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I'm scared of it, but it's not my worst fear.
- 20:16Speaker 2: So I get up there and he's like, okay, we'll
- 20:18Speaker 2: turn around and look at where you are. And I
- 20:21Speaker 2: think he was expecting me to like freak out and
- 20:23Speaker 2: be like.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, this is so high. And I turned
- 20:26Speaker 1: around and I was like, this is beautiful and he
- 20:29Speaker 1: was like what is beautiful?
- 20:35Speaker 6: He kept telling me to look too, and I wouldn't
- 20:39Speaker 6: and he was like, look down, look down, and I
- 20:42Speaker 6: was like, oh, this asshole is making me fucking and
- 20:47Speaker 6: he was like, what are you scared of? You were
- 20:48Speaker 6: a Bond girl and I said, well, we didn't do
- 20:52Speaker 6: stunts like this.
- 20:53Speaker 4: We had a.
- 20:53Speaker 6: Stunt double and plus juffers didn't jump off a bridge,
- 20:57Speaker 6: and when we do stunts they just hand. I put
- 21:00Speaker 6: this equipment on you, and I said, I'm left handed.
- 21:05Speaker 6: The lever it was a right hand for right handed
- 21:08Speaker 6: people and they didn't care. And I went to ask
- 21:12Speaker 6: questions with Foxy and he's like, don't worry about it,
- 21:15Speaker 6: you just jump and I'm like, you're I couldn't, but
- 21:19Speaker 6: I'm the dumb ass that was like, oh okay, Like,
- 21:23Speaker 6: in hindsight, I should have really said no, I want
- 21:27Speaker 6: the safety person to go through the equipment with me
- 21:30Speaker 6: because it's dangerous.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I mean, when you think about it, yeah, that was stupid.
- 21:35Speaker 4: I should have really asked them about it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: But do you think they would have done anything. I
- 21:40Speaker 1: don't think they would.
- 21:41Speaker 6: Well, but that's my fault because God forbid, what if
- 21:44Speaker 6: something really bad happened.
- 21:45Speaker 4: I mean I thought I snapped my neck to be honest,
- 21:48Speaker 4: when I did.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Jump, But you know, I don't know if it was
- 21:51Speaker 2: you who went when they went for the first time,
- 21:54Speaker 2: I thought it was Kyla and her head literally went
- 21:58Speaker 2: like down to her shoulder or I feel like you
- 22:00Speaker 2: can't even do it, Like do you remember were you
- 22:03Speaker 2: down there when it might have been you too?
- 22:07Speaker 4: Well, I don't know. It was about two or three
- 22:09Speaker 4: of us.
- 22:10Speaker 6: I was one of them where even Golden's like, I
- 22:13Speaker 6: thought you broke your neck seriously.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Was scary.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I was thinking, holy crap, is someone going to be
- 22:25Speaker 2: paralyzed after this?
- 22:27Speaker 3: You know?
- 22:28Speaker 2: Yeah, even though you feel like you are safe and
- 22:33Speaker 2: you trust that you're safe. We just had Nathan on
- 22:36Speaker 2: on the podcast a couple of days ago, and he
- 22:39Speaker 2: was like, I always trusted that I was safe, but
- 22:43Speaker 2: there's only so much safety they can provide, you know,
- 22:46Speaker 2: once you do something you could very well hurt yourself.
- 22:50Speaker 5: You know, oh yeah, heck yeah, and they have safety precautions,
- 22:54Speaker 5: but you still sign that waiver that says you know
- 22:57Speaker 5: something athens or something, you know what I mean.
- 22:58Speaker 6: I'm sure we signed our life way, but I think
- 23:02Speaker 6: I would have felt safer if they had, like a
- 23:08Speaker 6: when they're giving us the equipment, to really explain it
- 23:11Speaker 6: to us. Because even if you went for recreational going
- 23:16Speaker 6: rock climbing, or even in an indoor rock climbing place,
- 23:20Speaker 6: they explain all the equipment really well so that you
- 23:23Speaker 6: can maneuver it in that sort of thing.
- 23:25Speaker 4: And that did not happen on this You had.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Someone who wouldn't talk to you, put stuff on you
- 23:30Speaker 6: and tell you to go. I'm like, I don't even
- 23:33Speaker 6: know if this crap fits right, and it's for a
- 23:37Speaker 6: right handed person believer, I can't, so that part.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I was surprised by that part of it.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Was there anything else that surprised you? Either what you
- 23:52Speaker 2: learned about yourself or just the experience.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Well, I learned even though I'm terrified of heights, that
- 23:58Speaker 6: I did do it. If you're my family was shocked
- 24:03Speaker 6: when they heard I jumped off a bridge. They couldn't
- 24:06Speaker 6: believe it, and then they were mad at me, like,
- 24:07Speaker 6: why would you do that?
- 24:08Speaker 4: You could have like old yourself, I go, but I
- 24:11Speaker 4: did and I'm alive.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 24:17Speaker 5: I love that you guys push yourself on this right
- 24:19Speaker 5: through your fears.
- 24:20Speaker 3: I love it.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like that's what you have to do.
- 24:23Speaker 6: The other thing that surprised me was I really thought,
- 24:25Speaker 6: because we both have done reality and I think I
- 24:28Speaker 6: touched on this a little earlier, is that I really thought,
- 24:31Speaker 6: like I almost said something, and thank god I didn't
- 24:34Speaker 6: because I would have been this smart hour.
- 24:36Speaker 4: But when Foxy was giving us.
- 24:38Speaker 6: A tour of our home and he was like, this
- 24:41Speaker 6: is where you eat and stuff, I almost said, is
- 24:43Speaker 6: this where craft service will be?
- 24:45Speaker 3: Like?
- 24:45Speaker 4: Are they gonna have food out? I thought they would
- 24:47Speaker 4: have food.
- 24:48Speaker 6: Out all the time because of that video we had
- 24:51Speaker 6: to watch the night before where they're like, make sure
- 24:55Speaker 6: you're eating and drinking lots of liquids and this and that.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Where is the food? There's no food around here. It
- 25:04Speaker 4: was so weird.
- 25:05Speaker 5: Did you guys have to make your own food like
- 25:07Speaker 5: with the mrs and all that stuff?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Oh no, no, no, they brought this food here. Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 4: I really did think there's craft service on the side.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Well, so he's so freaking funny. I love that. I
- 25:20Speaker 1: feel like so the.
- 25:24Speaker 2: At the beginning, they gave us food, like they gave
- 25:28Speaker 2: us snap bags.
- 25:30Speaker 4: In the car, right in the car, and we we.
- 25:33Speaker 6: Stole some and put him in our pocket.
- 25:38Speaker 1: From the little container.
- 25:40Speaker 2: But they ended up like kind of not giving us
- 25:43Speaker 2: as much as we got in the beginning, and that
- 25:48Speaker 2: was a problem. But everyone was complaining about it, like
- 25:51Speaker 2: Cam was going crazy. He was starving, and he's huge,
- 25:54Speaker 2: I mean, and he's like and he's a vegan I
- 25:57Speaker 2: think I think it's a begon.
- 25:59Speaker 4: And he's twenty feet tall.
- 26:01Speaker 6: So for him, the sandwich that we all got, we
- 26:05Speaker 6: had to take the ham off of it because he
- 26:08Speaker 6: doesn't eat ham. We and those sandwiches. I'm sorry we
- 26:13Speaker 6: pulled it into a freaking gas station. There's nothing wrong
- 26:16Speaker 6: with gas stations with food. But it was like these
- 26:20Speaker 6: seat I don't.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Even know what it was.
- 26:23Speaker 1: White bread.
- 26:24Speaker 4: It was that white bread, the wonder bread with.
- 26:27Speaker 1: The thunderbread and cheese.
- 26:31Speaker 4: Oh my god, I ate it and I would never
- 26:33Speaker 4: eat you like that.
- 26:36Speaker 2: And they gave us yogurt and I actually really liked
- 26:39Speaker 2: the yogurt. But I will say I kept saying, like
- 26:43Speaker 2: people were pissed that there wasn't food, and I'm like, you, guys,
- 26:45Speaker 2: they don't have to give us food, like they could
- 26:48Speaker 2: starve us. Like literally, the guys the DS had just
- 26:51Speaker 2: said I don't know if it was the same day
- 26:53Speaker 2: or what, but they just said we survived. You can
- 26:58Speaker 2: survive for thirty days without food or whatever it was.
- 27:01Speaker 2: And I was like, this is just them like saying, this.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Is the training. You're gonna have to do it. You know.
- 27:08Speaker 6: That would be fine and dandy, except they had just
- 27:11Speaker 6: watch something from production saying, yeah, make sure you eat,
- 27:16Speaker 6: make sure.
- 27:17Speaker 4: You have plenty of water.
- 27:19Speaker 6: This we aren't supposed to eat if there's no food
- 27:22Speaker 6: and there's all that stuff.
- 27:24Speaker 4: We're also not I.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Mean, we are doing an entertainment television show.
- 27:31Speaker 4: So I stand to a certain extent.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah, totally, okay.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I have to thank you for something, and that is
- 27:52Speaker 2: the bathrooms.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Oh you're welcome. I got us a.
- 27:55Speaker 6: Toilet, nice, a private toilet, very.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Nice, Trista, I did not know this.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, so no, they were all okay. So I don't
- 28:07Speaker 2: know if we've talked about it yet, Bob. But the
- 28:09Speaker 2: toilets are like a bunch of porter potties essentially, with
- 28:13Speaker 2: like a wooden top on the top, and they're just
- 28:16Speaker 2: boards so you can see people's heads.
- 28:20Speaker 4: They're outhouses if you ouses. Yes, it's not even I
- 28:27Speaker 4: would have taken a porta potty over.
- 28:28Speaker 6: That, because are outhouses where you could tell who's sitting down.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Bring a ten to girls.
- 28:38Speaker 6: We sat down anyway, But it doesn't flush or anything.
- 28:41Speaker 6: It's it's an outhouse. And so that was the thing
- 28:45Speaker 6: I brought up when they asked me to do the show.
- 28:46Speaker 5: I go.
- 28:47Speaker 6: There is no freaking way I otherwise I will go.
- 28:51Speaker 4: To the bathroom for the whole time.
- 28:53Speaker 6: I Am not going to sit next to someone on
- 28:55Speaker 6: television and go potty. So it took them a couple
- 29:00Speaker 6: of weeks to get back to us because that was
- 29:03Speaker 6: my deal breaker. And I'm sure I say that because
- 29:08Speaker 6: next season someone's going to be like, well, Dedaise Richards
- 29:10Speaker 6: got a toilet, They got a toilet and hit it.
- 29:14Speaker 6: But I said, I am not gonna have a target
- 29:17Speaker 6: on my back where it's like only my toilet, So
- 29:19Speaker 6: I don't want anyone to know.
- 29:21Speaker 4: But how am I going to find this toilet? Do
- 29:23Speaker 4: you tell me?
- 29:24Speaker 6: I thought the producers would at least even talk to
- 29:27Speaker 6: us and show us around. I didn't know it was
- 29:29Speaker 6: set up the way it really was with Total Box.
- 29:32Speaker 6: I really thought they would break down and those guys
- 29:34Speaker 6: who go on a break and.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Producers would come. I really did so. But Cam found
- 29:41Speaker 4: a toilet because he's so tall.
- 29:42Speaker 6: He was like, look, there's a toilet in here, and
- 29:45Speaker 6: there's a full door.
- 29:48Speaker 4: So I feel like.
- 29:51Speaker 1: That you actually asked, didn't you ask? I feel like
- 29:54Speaker 1: you asked? What about the toilet? Oh?
- 29:57Speaker 4: No, I found it right away.
- 29:59Speaker 6: I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want
- 30:01Speaker 6: to get in trouble.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Well, and honestly, I didn't even know it was there.
- 30:06Speaker 2: I thought I only knew about the toilets that you
- 30:08Speaker 2: could see, like your face or your feet, not the
- 30:11Speaker 2: one that was enclosed. So I didn't like, I literally
- 30:15Speaker 2: didn't know it was there, even though it was well Cam.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I think thanks to Denise Richards that Cam.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Did tell everybody he saw it, and he's like, there
- 30:23Speaker 6: is a private toilet here.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Okay, God, may I.
- 30:29Speaker 4: Want to say anything and then have everyone angry at me?
- 30:33Speaker 1: I was like, angry at you. Why would we be
- 30:35Speaker 1: angry at you? You got us private toilet.
- 30:38Speaker 3: That's a celebration point right there.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Go away the little things. It's the little things.
- 30:43Speaker 3: They would have made you captain, squadron captain.
- 30:46Speaker 4: That's right.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Let's talk about the food. We haven't talked about the
- 30:50Speaker 2: food on the podcast yet, and.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I feel like.
- 30:55Speaker 2: So, so you get these little bowls, Bob, there's like two,
- 31:00Speaker 2: I think one in like a nesting bowl situation.
- 31:03Speaker 1: And then you have your silverware and you.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Can it's metal, okay, metal exactly the metal things you.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Would take on a camping trip.
- 31:11Speaker 6: It's exactly rectangle with the another rectangle and metal cutlery.
- 31:21Speaker 1: And you have to carry it in your in your
- 31:23Speaker 1: pack all the time. It has to be clean.
- 31:25Speaker 6: And you get why because there's no food there anyway to.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Put it, like dishes with no food, and.
- 31:34Speaker 2: You're literally cleaning it off like Ali has talked about
- 31:37Speaker 2: this in interviews, where you're you're cleaning off your food
- 31:40Speaker 2: with like the trickle of water that we get.
- 31:42Speaker 4: And who knows where that water came from.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Not it wasn't It wasn't like crystal.
- 31:50Speaker 6: It's this weird stink in the middle of the place
- 31:54Speaker 6: where we were sleeping.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Right, And so you're cleaning your plates and you're cleaning
- 32:01Speaker 2: your like you're drying them with this towel that you get.
- 32:04Speaker 2: But then also after you take a shower, you're drying
- 32:07Speaker 2: yourself with this towel, with the same.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Towel, so it's the same towel the whole time, Like
- 32:12Speaker 5: the same towel the whole week too.
- 32:14Speaker 6: Yeah, oh my gosh, making this sounds so amazing.
- 32:22Speaker 5: I'm making notes of what my deal breakers will need
- 32:24Speaker 5: to be when I go extra towel, yeah, toilet, Yeah.
- 32:30Speaker 2: No, these are just the like we're nitpicking here, we are,
- 32:33Speaker 2: we're making fun. We are making fun of that. But
- 32:37Speaker 2: Denise both we both agree the best part of this
- 32:41Speaker 2: show to us was bonding with each other, with the
- 32:45Speaker 2: fellow our fellow cast mates. And and I I feel
- 32:50Speaker 2: like I've been asked like who's surprised you most and
- 32:54Speaker 2: who did you connect with? And I think it all
- 32:58Speaker 2: is very dependent on who you end up being in
- 33:01Speaker 2: the vehicles with, because when you're in the vehicles, you
- 33:05Speaker 2: have like downtime and you can talk, and even though
- 33:09Speaker 2: there's cameras, you can talk because you don't know if
- 33:12Speaker 2: you're going to be in the car for five minutes
- 33:14Speaker 2: or five hours, and we ended up you know, talking
- 33:18Speaker 2: and you know, like Denise said, like kind of curled
- 33:20Speaker 2: up sleeping or you know, taking a little snooze. So
- 33:25Speaker 2: talk about that a little bit, Denise, and how hell
- 33:30Speaker 2: that was kind of an unexpected and maybe it wasn't
- 33:32Speaker 2: unexpected to you, but it was a huge benefit of
- 33:35Speaker 2: the show.
- 33:36Speaker 6: You know, on other sets that I've been on, and
- 33:40Speaker 6: I've done so many different projects, I love the camaraderie,
- 33:44Speaker 6: you know, with the cast and with the crew, and
- 33:47Speaker 6: you know, so I love that in any way. And
- 33:52Speaker 6: then for this situation where it's like there was no egos,
- 33:56Speaker 6: there's nothing. Everyone was just just really stripped down emotionally
- 34:02Speaker 6: and physically and just really laughing at how hard it was.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Like we could all commiserate together.
- 34:09Speaker 6: And I knew that I would hit it off with
- 34:11Speaker 6: you because you and I talked. We met each other
- 34:14Speaker 6: years ago at like a couple events, I think, But
- 34:19Speaker 6: I'm so grateful though we've become friends. It's different running
- 34:23Speaker 6: into each other and needing each other, and then you
- 34:25Speaker 6: and I are friends now.
- 34:27Speaker 4: We've you know, communicate a lot, and we talked a
- 34:30Speaker 4: lot and I'm so happy for that.
- 34:33Speaker 6: And I think I was so happy to be able
- 34:39Speaker 6: to get to know the other three people I've really
- 34:42Speaker 6: felt like I had a connection with outside of Stephen
- 34:44Speaker 6: Baldwin because I've known him over the years doing different projects,
- 34:49Speaker 6: but was Marion Jones is phenomenal, and then Cam cam
- 34:55Speaker 6: Newton and Golden Tate. To see these two athletes who
- 34:59Speaker 6: my nephews are like in awe of they could not
- 35:02Speaker 6: believe I was on a show and spent time with them,
- 35:06Speaker 6: like they are so starstruck that I was able to
- 35:10Speaker 6: have that experience. So I think that part was It's
- 35:14Speaker 6: really really the coolest experience that I think the show does.
- 35:20Speaker 4: For all of us.
- 35:21Speaker 6: Who are, you know, in our own world doing what
- 35:25Speaker 6: we do, but it's all entertainment, whether you're an athlete
- 35:28Speaker 6: or you know, doing Olympics and all that. We're still
- 35:32Speaker 6: where people know who we are. But so to bring
- 35:35Speaker 6: us all together like this, I think is so incredible.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Definitely the biggest benefit of the show.
- 35:42Speaker 5: Like you know, I always thought one thing you just
- 35:46Speaker 5: said that I thought was really neat was the drill sergeants.
- 35:49Speaker 5: I knew a guy who was a drill sergeant and
- 35:51Speaker 5: my dad was a marine and stuff, and so I
- 35:52Speaker 5: got to talk to him and he had I always
- 35:55Speaker 5: had thought that the reason they would put people through
- 35:57Speaker 5: basic training was to break them down and then build
- 36:00Speaker 5: them back up again so that they would look at
- 36:02Speaker 5: each other as you know, family and and it's so
- 36:05Speaker 5: funny that you you just said that, and it basically
- 36:08Speaker 5: connected with me that that was that was kind of
- 36:10Speaker 5: the whole thing about the basic training and a drill
- 36:12Speaker 5: sergeant and all that was. You know, you'd be watching
- 36:15Speaker 5: someone you care about or you know, getting be rated
- 36:18Speaker 5: by this person when they're giving it all they got right,
- 36:20Speaker 5: and you're almost ready to go over there and be like,
- 36:22Speaker 5: knock it off, leave.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Her alone, you know, or whatever it might be.
- 36:24Speaker 5: You're like defending each other and you wouldn't even have
- 36:26Speaker 5: known each other in certain circles, like you said with
- 36:28Speaker 5: Cam Newton and Golden. So I love hearing that you
- 36:30Speaker 5: felt that way, that you guys came out of this
- 36:32Speaker 5: as like real friends.
- 36:33Speaker 3: That's that's the best part of this whole show already
- 36:36Speaker 3: for me. I love it.
- 36:37Speaker 4: It happened so fast, like so quol.
- 36:40Speaker 6: First of all, the days are packed, it is raazy.
- 36:45Speaker 4: In one day, what you would do. It felt like
- 36:47Speaker 4: a week of the stuff we did.
- 36:50Speaker 6: So you're so right, Yeah, and so we we bonded
- 36:53Speaker 6: really quickly.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Didn't take you know that long to do that.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I agree.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Okay, So but moving on from Special Forces, can you
- 37:03Speaker 2: talk about your new show coming up?
- 37:05Speaker 4: Yes, I can.
- 37:06Speaker 6: There's going to be an announcement about the show as
- 37:09Speaker 6: far as uh, exactly when I can say it's in
- 37:13Speaker 6: the spring, and where it'll be that's going to be announced.
- 37:17Speaker 6: But it is a you know, family reality show with
- 37:23Speaker 6: it's called unless they change it right now, it's called
- 37:26Speaker 6: Denise Richards and Her Wild Things. And it's with his
- 37:30Speaker 6: it's with my husband, it's with my friends, it's with
- 37:33Speaker 6: familiar faces. It's showing my work life, home life and everything,
- 37:39Speaker 6: and it's you know, it's a fun, it's crazy, and
- 37:45Speaker 6: it's there's a lot of different dynamics with my older girls,
- 37:49Speaker 6: and you know, we did a reality show years ago
- 37:51Speaker 6: when they were younger, and now to see them older
- 37:54Speaker 6: doing it, even though they've done a little bit on Housewives,
- 37:57Speaker 6: but very little, they were on a very little but yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 6: but yeah, no, it was a totally different experience.
- 38:03Speaker 2: So I mean, you rolled right into it. From Special Forces.
- 38:07Speaker 2: You literally rolled right in.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:10Speaker 6: Yeah, as as I got back, we started. I had
- 38:14Speaker 6: two weeks and then we started.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Wow that.
- 38:19Speaker 4: I know.
- 38:19Speaker 1: It's just crazy.
- 38:21Speaker 2: And your daughters are featured. We hear that you're that
- 38:25Speaker 2: Sammy has a new boyfriend. How are you feeling about
- 38:27Speaker 2: this new boyfriend?
- 38:30Speaker 6: He I like, it's a boyfriend, and then he wasn't.
- 38:33Speaker 6: Now he's a boyfriend again.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Okay, but I like a lot.
- 38:40Speaker 5: God.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Yeah, But so Max and his girlfriend just broke up, unfortunately,
- 38:45Speaker 2: and just like I don't know, it's like it's so
- 38:49Speaker 2: hard because it's their journey, right, it's their journey. You
- 38:54Speaker 2: can't get involved, really, but oh gosh, how I want to, like,
- 38:58Speaker 2: you know, just talk them through it. They learned so
- 39:01Speaker 2: much about relationships in the year and a half that
- 39:04Speaker 2: they dated.
- 39:05Speaker 5: I remember you talking about her that you guys were
- 39:06Speaker 5: like watching the show together and you know, so I
- 39:09Speaker 5: know you liked her.
- 39:10Speaker 3: What a bummer.
- 39:12Speaker 2: I love her and always will regardless how old is he.
- 39:18Speaker 2: He's seventeen seventeen.
- 39:20Speaker 4: That's hot. So that's like the hard age.
- 39:23Speaker 6: And I remember when my dad tried to comfort me
- 39:28Speaker 6: when my boyfriend and I broke up and he actually
- 39:30Speaker 6: made me feel worse. My dad said, you know, everything's
- 39:34Speaker 6: gonna be okay. But I hate to tell you this,
- 39:36Speaker 6: but you're going to go through this quite a.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Bit the only time.
- 39:41Speaker 4: And I'm like, yeah, that's not making me feel better.
- 39:44Speaker 4: What are you doing like this?
- 39:46Speaker 3: Hold on, I'm taking more notes parenting notes. Don't say
- 39:50Speaker 3: that to my kids.
- 39:51Speaker 6: But he's right. But it was just funny. And it's
- 39:54Speaker 6: hard seeing them get older. I worry more now. I
- 39:57Speaker 6: don't know about you, tristed with my kids getting a
- 40:00Speaker 6: little bit older. Were you know, they I don't have
- 40:03Speaker 6: as much like control telling them you have to do
- 40:06Speaker 6: them this or not.
- 40:07Speaker 4: You can't go there. You know, it's hard.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Well, they say that the older they get, the bigger
- 40:14Speaker 2: problems they have, like you know, I don't know what
- 40:16Speaker 2: the Yeah, for sure, you have like micro problems when
- 40:21Speaker 2: they're little, And sorry, Bob, I'm not like.
- 40:26Speaker 1: You. I have micro problems when they're little, and.
- 40:30Speaker 2: They're macro problems when they're big, like you know what
- 40:34Speaker 2: school and college and relationships and sex and drugs and
- 40:40Speaker 2: alcohol and you know, all of these big.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Things that they deal with. It's it's hard as the older.
- 40:45Speaker 5: Yeah, my big my biggest concern right now is to
- 40:47Speaker 5: make sure I got enough Blue episodes on Standby.
- 40:50Speaker 3: To get me through the day.
- 40:51Speaker 5: You know.
- 40:52Speaker 3: So yeah, I know you guys are doing a much
- 40:53Speaker 3: different things.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Any advice, Denise for those out there with teenagers with kids,
- 41:04Speaker 2: you know, like.
- 41:06Speaker 3: It? I don't know.
- 41:09Speaker 4: I think the thing everything's changing so fast.
- 41:13Speaker 6: You know, when we were their age, we didn't have
- 41:15Speaker 6: social media, we didn't have access to everything. I think
- 41:19Speaker 6: I could do it all over again. I probably would
- 41:25Speaker 6: have moved them out of LA and them somewhere else.
- 41:30Speaker 4: And nothing against LA.
- 41:32Speaker 6: I love being here, My job's here, and you know,
- 41:36Speaker 6: got so many opportunities, and the kids have great friends,
- 41:39Speaker 6: but it is a different lifestyle and them.
- 41:42Speaker 4: Growing up with the parents who are.
- 41:44Speaker 6: In the public eye, I'm sure was super easy for them.
- 41:48Speaker 6: So I think that we were somewhere else, maybe it
- 41:51Speaker 6: would have been a little different. I don't know, Maybe
- 41:53Speaker 6: it would have been worse because they wouldn't have had
- 41:55Speaker 6: any peers where their parents were also doing the same
- 41:59Speaker 6: job as their dad and I.
- 42:01Speaker 4: So I don't know.
- 42:02Speaker 6: All I can say is just, uh, it's staying just
- 42:06Speaker 6: really connected to your kids and have an open communication
- 42:10Speaker 6: as they get to be teenagers and stuff like that.
- 42:12Speaker 4: I think is the best thing.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good advice perfect, Oh my gosh.
- 42:17Speaker 2: And one thing I wanted to talk about I didn't
- 42:19Speaker 2: even talk about was the fact that she's not even
- 42:21Speaker 2: gonna watch the show.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Bob, You're not a show at all.
- 42:26Speaker 4: No, I will after I'm gone, Okay, I no, I
- 42:33Speaker 4: don't like, Oh I got it.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Yeah, wow.
- 42:39Speaker 6: I want thoughts to know. I'm very supportive. I want
- 42:41Speaker 6: everyone else to see it. No disrespect to that. I
- 42:44Speaker 6: don't watch my stuff in general. So I'm going to
- 42:47Speaker 6: watch almost all the Housewives I never saw, so no kidding.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I do get that. It is it is.
- 42:55Speaker 5: We were telling Nathan the other day that it's like
- 42:56Speaker 5: the hardest part is to get ready to watch yourself
- 42:59Speaker 5: on TV and pick yoursel off apart, you know.
- 43:01Speaker 3: So I understand that total really quickly.
- 43:03Speaker 6: I have a question about Nathan, and then I'll let
- 43:05Speaker 6: you go. I thought it was hilarious because I'm like,
- 43:08Speaker 6: I thought you were.
- 43:09Speaker 4: A fucking Olympic swimmer. He goes yeah, with a pool and.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Goggles, because I'm like, how come you can't swim in
- 43:18Speaker 6: this ship? If you can't swim in this ship. I
- 43:25Speaker 6: am dead.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Jackie was swimming with Michael Stulps. Can't do this, then,
- 43:34Speaker 1: what are you supposed to do?
- 43:35Speaker 6: Although he did bring me to the edge, and I
- 43:40Speaker 6: forgot to mention him too. I feel bad because he
- 43:42Speaker 6: did save me from being drowning at one point. And
- 43:44Speaker 6: then when we were doing that thing, when we were
- 43:46Speaker 6: in that pool that they made us jump in, I
- 43:48Speaker 6: kept hanging on him.
- 43:49Speaker 4: He finally had the same denise, you can't hang on
- 43:53Speaker 4: me or making me trouble. You're pulling me under, and
- 43:56Speaker 4: I'm like, I don't want to do I'm gonna fucking
- 43:58Speaker 4: drown here. I don't know.
- 44:05Speaker 6: Oh my god, That's where I did not feel safe.
- 44:09Speaker 6: I'm like, what the hell? Where are the people underneath us?
- 44:13Speaker 3: All right to come up and take you up? Yeah?
- 44:16Speaker 2: All right, Well, I know both we both have more
- 44:20Speaker 2: to do outside of this interview. I wish we could
- 44:22Speaker 2: we could talk the whole rest of the day, but
- 44:25Speaker 2: I know I've got to get going.
- 44:27Speaker 1: You've got to get going.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Thanks Bob for getting on the zoom too, and Special Forces,
- 44:36Speaker 2: and we hope that everyone tunes in Wednesday nights.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Tonight.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I think maybe we'll air so if everyone tunes in
- 44:45Speaker 2: tonight on Foxy.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Thank you so much, you guys, Thank you so nice
- 44:51Speaker 4: talking to Den.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Thanks for letting me be a bulying the wall for
- 44:55Speaker 3: all this, I love it. It's so fascinating.
