- 1:52Speaker 3: a wonderful person. She's chilling with Santa and they all
- 1:59Speaker 3: lovely Debbie, but somebody, now I meet miss clausmad y'all,
- 2:05Speaker 3: because the book that our featured author tonight is bringing,
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm not even gonna tell y'all the title. Okay, So
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna let y'all see the title for yourself, because
- 2:16Speaker 3: when she sent me this book title, I said, Oh, okay,
- 2:22Speaker 3: let me find out all right, So without further ado,
- 2:27Speaker 3: I am going to bring up our future author tonight,
- 2:30Speaker 3: Miss Fatima Munroe, come on up, girly, Hi. Hi. So
- 2:38Speaker 3: unfortunately you guys won't be able to see her, but
- 2:41Speaker 3: we do have your beautiful puture in that beautiful smile
- 2:44Speaker 3: that she has. It's going to represent her tonight. Okay,
- 2:49Speaker 3: was handling some business. So before we go any further,
- 2:55Speaker 3: you have to tell us a little bit about yourself
- 2:57Speaker 3: because I really want to get into this book here.
- 3:00Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. But let's let's talk about
- 3:02Speaker 3: you first.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Okay, not a problem. I've been writing for oh my gosh,
- 3:10Speaker 4: I think it's been about ten years now. I've got
- 3:13Speaker 4: a pretty decent catalog out. Outside of writing, I i'm
- 3:21Speaker 4: I have a job where in corporate and then I
- 3:25Speaker 4: also took on another roles and the role that I
- 3:28Speaker 4: took that I took on I'm actually in training for currently.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Outside of that, I'm a mom. I like to travel
- 3:37Speaker 4: and I love talking to people, having done a book
- 3:40Speaker 4: tour in about five years. But I think it's time
- 3:46Speaker 4: for me to come. I think it's coming. I think
- 3:48Speaker 4: there's a book tour in my future for next year.
- 3:53Speaker 3: You know, everybody is starting to get out. I've seen
- 3:56Speaker 3: I've gotten on think about three to four invitations for
- 4:00Speaker 3: books tours, one as far as Michigan. If y'all know me,
- 4:07Speaker 3: I don't like flying. I am afraid of heights.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Michigan, y'all have fun now Michigan. I can tell you
- 4:18Speaker 4: just from experience. I mean, not necessarily just the tours themselves,
- 4:22Speaker 4: but Michigan as a state, that's a good time. I mean,
- 4:26Speaker 4: there's a lot of stuff to do, especially on the
- 4:28Speaker 4: book tours, the book events that are in Detroit or
- 4:31Speaker 4: right outside Detroit or somewhere in that area. That's a
- 4:35Speaker 4: good time. You're gonna have a blast. If you can
- 4:37Speaker 4: get over that fear of flying, you will have a ball.
- 4:41Speaker 4: I can guarantee you that.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I think I got to get over this fear because
- 4:46Speaker 3: everybody missing out. But listen here, God gave me two
- 4:52Speaker 3: feet that's supposed to stay on this ground. Yeah please.
- 4:58Speaker 3: And I live next to you, guys. See, y'all should
- 5:02Speaker 3: see me literally sometimes when it gets real. I little
- 5:05Speaker 3: next very about five minutes away from the airport, and
- 5:09Speaker 3: then another five minutes away from the air Force base.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Oh yes, you hear everybody. Everybody randomly ruels.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Who I know, they keep your house shaking.
- 5:28Speaker 3: It don't let it be a late flight and I'm sleeping,
- 5:31Speaker 3: Oh you rumble coming, and I'm like, oh yeah it gools.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Sometimes I just stood still because I was like, hey,
- 5:40Speaker 3: that one they hovering in? It shared ten years?
- 5:51Speaker 4: About ten years, I know I started. I wrote my
- 5:54Speaker 4: first book in April of twenty of twenty fifteen, so
- 5:58Speaker 4: it's been about ten years.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So how does it feel to be in in it
- 6:05Speaker 3: for ten years?
- 6:07Speaker 4: It was surreal that I can say my first book,
- 6:13Speaker 4: I cried. I mean, like when I I sent my manuscript,
- 6:17Speaker 4: my manuscript out to a few publishers, and everybody sent
- 6:21Speaker 4: me back a contract. So when I initially saw.
- 6:25Speaker 3: My name on that book, I mean, it was surreal.
- 6:29Speaker 4: So I mean it's you always want, You're always chasing
- 6:35Speaker 4: that first feeling that you initially had when you've initially
- 6:39Speaker 4: seen your name on that book. So ten years, I
- 6:44Speaker 4: mean I hadn't really sat down and thought about it,
- 6:47Speaker 4: but I mean recently I was just like, oh wow,
- 6:49Speaker 4: it's really been ten years, honestly, So.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Do you still get that same feeling each time when
- 6:58Speaker 3: you're released in a book. I do.
- 7:01Speaker 4: I still get those first those release day jitters. I
- 7:05Speaker 4: still get that that chill when I hit upload on Amazon.
- 7:11Speaker 4: I mean it's still it's still very real for me
- 7:16Speaker 4: as if it's that first book releasing all over again
- 7:19Speaker 4: ten years ago. So yes, I mean it's a great
- 7:23Speaker 4: feeling and I love me, I love it. But yeah,
- 7:28Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it's great.
- 7:31Speaker 3: What means you want to become an author? And two,
- 7:34Speaker 3: because I know a lot of authors, they drop a
- 7:36Speaker 3: book they're not the book doesn't get the attention that
- 7:42Speaker 3: it deserves, or the book doesn't take off like they
- 7:45Speaker 3: want to. So then they're like, all right, cool, I
- 7:46Speaker 3: try to do it away. But what means you want
- 7:49Speaker 3: to become an author and stick to it.
- 7:54Speaker 4: When I wrote my first book, it was after I
- 7:57Speaker 4: lost my dad in the hospital because we lived in
- 8:03Speaker 4: Georgia and my dad was in Chicago, so my brother
- 8:07Speaker 4: and I just kind of hopped on the rope when
- 8:09Speaker 4: we found out he was sick, and on that road
- 8:13Speaker 4: drive up and then back down to Georgia. I mean,
- 8:16Speaker 4: I did a lot of reading to try to get
- 8:18Speaker 4: my mind off of what I was going to go see. Ultimately,
- 8:22Speaker 4: I mean even though you want everything to work out
- 8:26Speaker 4: for the best, sometimes you know when that time is there,
- 8:31Speaker 4: when you're going to lose that person or when you're
- 8:33Speaker 4: going to lose a loved one. So it was more
- 8:36Speaker 4: so me trying to get my mind off of that.
- 8:39Speaker 4: So I wanted to tell a story. It didn't necessarily
- 8:41Speaker 4: need to be my story. I just wanted to tell
- 8:44Speaker 4: a story. So that's how that initially came about. When
- 8:49Speaker 4: I wrote my first book, it was just kind of,
- 8:52Speaker 4: you know.
- 8:56Speaker 3: So well, ten years, somebody's loving it, and I've seen
- 9:16Speaker 3: your name several times on my Facebook TikTok and what's
- 9:23Speaker 3: the other one Instagram? So I was like, okay, okay,
- 9:29Speaker 3: this book, I have the cover up.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Patrice. I'm sorry, I can't hear you.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Can you hear me? Now? I think when she dropped
- 9:41Speaker 3: we were having little technical difficulties.
- 9:43Speaker 4: So okay, I see you're talking, but I can't hear you.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Okay, yeah that's what I'm Can you hear
- 10:00Speaker 4: let me see if maybe it's my phone?
- 10:03Speaker 3: Okay, So I'm gonna do, y'all, I'm about to do
- 10:04Speaker 3: some sign language. You guys, go out, go out, go out.
- 10:13Speaker 3: So I'll just kick her out if.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Hello, Hello, Raica, I'm so sorry. I'm gonna try and
- 10:22Speaker 4: go out and come back in and see if that'll.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So while she's going out and coming back in, you guys,
- 10:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna step in here and tell y'all, you guys
- 10:34Speaker 3: have two more days to get your nominations in for
- 10:40Speaker 3: the Inspiring Author's BOOKALT Awards. Two days you guys to
- 10:47Speaker 3: say this person or this book or this individual observes
- 10:54Speaker 3: the title. Two days. So have you entered your authors yet? Okay,
- 11:03Speaker 3: so we have podcasts off of the Year male athor
- 11:09Speaker 3: the Year Children's book, Paranormal Erodica, non fiction poetry. We
- 11:16Speaker 3: have all these awards. So remember you have until Christmas
- 11:20Speaker 3: night midnight to get your nominations in. Now, when January
- 11:27Speaker 3: first rolls around, I'm going to have all the individuals
- 11:34Speaker 3: who made the cut because the top three are going
- 11:38Speaker 3: to go to the final round. Okay, I want to
- 11:41Speaker 3: contact them. I am want to tell them that they
- 11:44Speaker 3: have been nominated, so you might see them popping up
- 11:47Speaker 3: all over the place. I hope the person that you
- 11:49Speaker 3: nominate become one of the finalists. And then on my
- 11:53Speaker 3: very first show for season four, we are going to
- 11:59Speaker 3: announce the winners season four. It is so crazy saying
- 12:07Speaker 3: that to you guys, because I still remember my first
- 12:11Speaker 3: show that was about fifteen to twenty minutes and I
- 12:15Speaker 3: held my birth And if you told me that day
- 12:22Speaker 3: that I would be here for season four, I would
- 12:27Speaker 3: say you're a liar, because I can't see myself doing that.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But now I can't see myself missing an opportunity to
- 12:37Speaker 3: interact with you guys, to kill that stigma of black
- 12:42Speaker 3: people don't read, or if you want to hide it
- 12:47Speaker 3: from someone of color, put it in the book. I
- 12:50Speaker 3: love to bring these authors up for it. They can
- 12:52Speaker 3: tell you about their book, about their love of writing
- 12:55Speaker 3: and what made them want to write and what writing
- 12:58Speaker 3: does for them, and present their babies their books that
- 13:03Speaker 3: they have created. Okay, so remember you have until Christmas. Okay,
- 13:11Speaker 3: So what else do we have going on? The books
- 13:16Speaker 3: are open for new interviews and twenty twenty six, So
- 13:23Speaker 3: we're going to be doing this a little differently because
- 13:25Speaker 3: I do know that there are some authors that just
- 13:28Speaker 3: have stage right and I totally understand that. So what
- 13:32Speaker 3: I've done is I've opened up my Sundays to do
- 13:36Speaker 3: pre recorded interviews for you guys. Okay. So, authors, if
- 13:41Speaker 3: you want to talk about your books but you're afraid
- 13:43Speaker 3: to do it live, I totally understand. We can do
- 13:47Speaker 3: a pre recorded interview, or we can do a blog interview. Okay.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Pre recorded is me and the author. We would come
- 13:56Speaker 3: on a Sunday, coming to the studio and we were
- 13:59Speaker 3: recording and then we'll play it on a later podcast, okay.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And or you could do a blog interview where I
- 14:07Speaker 3: send you the questions, you send them back and it
- 14:10Speaker 3: will appear on our blog on SI bookousandfriends dot com.
- 14:15Speaker 3: And possibly you can be the author of the month
- 14:18Speaker 3: and be inside Thespiring Author's magazine. Okay. So those are
- 14:22Speaker 3: two things that we have coming out in twenty twenty six.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Still coming back with the book reviews, added on video reviews,
- 14:30Speaker 3: learning some more about that. You guys got to get
- 14:32Speaker 3: a little bit more of this social media content thing
- 14:36Speaker 3: going on. But we will be working on that. Okay.
- 14:40Speaker 3: So we are still waiting for her to come back.
- 14:44Speaker 3: But her book was called Mu's Clause is a Serial Killer.
- 14:50Speaker 3: She made us clause kill people, y'all. Father Christmas was
- 14:58Speaker 3: my beginning, my middle of my in and I crave
- 15:01Speaker 3: his presence forever in love with his essence. Santa Claus
- 15:06Speaker 3: was the air I breathe until she discovered he was
- 15:10Speaker 3: keeping secrets, secrets that broke my heart from time to time.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yet when I said to death, do us apart, you guys,
- 15:21Speaker 3: she meant that. So the tagline for her book is
- 15:25Speaker 3: we never say those death when we took our vowels.
- 15:30Speaker 3: So that's strong. I mean, everybody wanted to do their vowels.
- 15:33Speaker 3: They say to death, do us apart, But do we
- 15:36Speaker 3: truly mean to death, do us apart? I really think
- 15:40Speaker 3: that that's really shaky, because some people take that a
- 15:46Speaker 3: little bit too far, and some people they're just in
- 15:53Speaker 3: love that. You know. We've had people say they die
- 15:56Speaker 3: from broken heart, whereas one individual dies first and then
- 16:00Speaker 3: later on maybe month two three, or maybe up to year,
- 16:04Speaker 3: and the next person dies and they have a tendency
- 16:07Speaker 3: to say they died of a broken heart. So that
- 16:10Speaker 3: line to depth, do us apart? Yeah, it can be
- 16:13Speaker 3: kind of crazy. But her book is actually outs on
- 16:16Speaker 3: good Reads. It has a four point two rating. I've
- 16:21Speaker 3: read a little bit. I can't tell y'all what happened,
- 16:27Speaker 3: but let's just say, Father Christmas, Yeah, you shouldn't have
- 16:33Speaker 3: did it. He just should have stayed faithful. This is
- 16:37Speaker 3: one of those books whereas it should. It's one of
- 16:45Speaker 3: those books. Okay, it's very short, very sweet. It's a novella,
- 16:49Speaker 3: so it's like eighty three pages long, as you guys,
- 16:52Speaker 3: And like I said, it is currently on Amazon, and
- 16:56Speaker 3: she has it on her website, so she still have
- 17:03Speaker 3: a little difficulty union. But I will tell you more
- 17:07Speaker 3: about her. I'll show you her catalog. She has been
- 17:10Speaker 3: in the game, or when I say, in the game,
- 17:13Speaker 3: in the literary business four ten years and hold on,
- 17:22Speaker 3: can you hear me? Now? Okay, now, why you got
- 17:27Speaker 3: Miss Clause killing Santa She didn't kill him, No, she
- 17:34Speaker 3: ain't kill him. But come on, man, why it was
- 17:44Speaker 3: closed that deadly turn? Like okay, so you guys, let
- 17:47Speaker 3: me stop saying deadly she was, she was just close
- 17:52Speaker 3: to it. Psychological thriller is one of the genres that
- 17:58Speaker 3: is not really seen in the African American community. Why
- 18:07Speaker 3: did you decided to put mes Santa Claus as a
- 18:11Speaker 3: psychological thriller? First off, why not?
- 18:17Speaker 4: And and second because it hadn't been done. Everybody sees
- 18:30Speaker 4: Missus Claus as you know, happy go lucky. We all
- 18:34Speaker 4: love Missus class. She's baking cookie, she's tending to the elves.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Nobody sees her as behind bars serving quadruple life.
- 18:47Speaker 3: So listen, all I can say is wow, like I
- 18:58Speaker 3: got okay, I can't. I can't go that far. I'll
- 19:02Speaker 3: come back to that part. Okay. When I see that,
- 19:04Speaker 3: you gonna be like, what in the world, so you
- 19:09Speaker 3: you took the the beautiful sweet image of Missus Claus
- 19:16Speaker 3: mm hm, and you made her to may not go
- 19:21Speaker 3: ahead and say it the chick from Acrimony.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I mean she still sweet, she still like so okay.
- 19:38Speaker 4: For instance, in the book she there was characters where
- 19:46Speaker 4: you know she can you can tell that she showed
- 19:48Speaker 4: empathy to in a way. She loved her from Rudolph.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Rudolph always went with her whenever she went out in
- 19:58Speaker 4: the world.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You guys, she literally put the Christmas in the psycho
- 20:09Speaker 3: psychological thriller. She literally turned my whole world of Christmas.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I mean, you can't look at Santa claus Is coming
- 20:19Speaker 3: to town the same anymore because yeah, yeah, but what
- 20:25Speaker 3: what needs you want to do this? I mean I
- 20:29Speaker 3: love the concept, I love the flip. I love that
- 20:33Speaker 3: it's like like there is a serious book in the library, guys.
- 20:41Speaker 3: That turn that comes from the standpoint of the Disney villains,
- 20:47Speaker 3: not the princesses, but Ursula and the Wicked step Mother.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I love those because nobody ever hears the side of
- 20:56Speaker 3: the bad Guy's a children's book that is called The
- 21:02Speaker 3: True Story of the Three Little Big Pigs, and that
- 21:05Speaker 3: was sold by the Wolf and it is the cutest story,
- 21:09Speaker 3: you guys. And you did that with missus Claus like
- 21:14Speaker 3: you didn't even think about doing it. The sceneer you
- 21:16Speaker 3: brought the innocent, Well, she ain't all in this book.
- 21:21Speaker 3: And I mean, y'all look at the beautiful picture of
- 21:24Speaker 3: missus Claus. Yea, the cover is so it's it's beautiful,
- 21:39Speaker 3: it's innocent. But then it's just that that that that
- 21:46Speaker 3: curse of handwriting, serial killer, that's enough to make somebody
- 21:51Speaker 3: sound be like hold up. And that's what it did
- 21:53Speaker 3: to me, you guys, when when she sent it to me,
- 21:55Speaker 3: this mean, what's the divil serracul? And that's why I said,
- 22:03Speaker 3: that's what the And I bet you were giggling when
- 22:07Speaker 3: I sent that back because I was like, I can't
- 22:09Speaker 3: believe this, But that's my question, laughing, what made you
- 22:15Speaker 3: want to use Missus Claus and not Santa Claus. Everything.
- 22:23Speaker 4: So when you think about Christmas horror, right, it's always
- 22:27Speaker 4: the the deranged killer that's dressed up as Santa Claus. Right,
- 22:33Speaker 4: you know, it's always the guy that knocks on the door.
- 22:35Speaker 4: He's got the axe, he's got the dirty Santa Claus
- 22:39Speaker 4: suit with the bloody axe, and he's ready to kill somebody.
- 22:42Speaker 4: You don't think about Missus Claws in that way. I mean,
- 22:46Speaker 4: you don't think about Missus Claus behind bars, Missus Claws
- 22:50Speaker 4: and section offin in a in her own section of
- 22:54Speaker 4: the prison below where because so that that way she's
- 22:58Speaker 4: not harming the prisoners, because she has a main streak.
- 23:02Speaker 4: You know, you don't think about that. So since you
- 23:06Speaker 4: don't think about it, you know, it's easier for you
- 23:09Speaker 4: to be able to tell that story because that's not
- 23:12Speaker 4: the clause that you know. You know, it's everybody knows
- 23:16Speaker 4: Santa Claus, and Santa Claus is capable of doing this,
- 23:19Speaker 4: and Santa Claus is capable of doing that. You know,
- 23:22Speaker 4: it's never Missus Claus. It's always Missus Claws's innocent. She's
- 23:25Speaker 4: up in North Pole, at the North Pole, and she's
- 23:28Speaker 4: baking cookies, and you know, she's making sure that the
- 23:30Speaker 4: l's are okay. She's waiting for Santa to show back up.
- 23:33Speaker 4: What if she's not, you know, why she's a scorned woman?
- 23:40Speaker 4: How would she react to that? And that's kind of
- 23:43Speaker 4: where that whole concept came from, was, you know, missus
- 23:48Speaker 4: Claus is the scorned woman. How does she react for
- 23:52Speaker 4: being the scorn woman? And she's been very sheltered at
- 23:55Speaker 4: the North Pole for the for the majority of her life,
- 23:59Speaker 4: you know, and even the interactions in the grocery store,
- 24:02Speaker 4: I mean, it's it's regular interactions in the grocery store,
- 24:04Speaker 4: but you got to realize that they're still at the
- 24:06Speaker 4: North Pole, you know, So just being able to just
- 24:11Speaker 4: kind of tell it from her side of the story
- 24:13Speaker 4: where she's in the store and she's overhearing people talking
- 24:17Speaker 4: about this older gentleman who who who's you know, he's
- 24:24Speaker 4: debonair and at the same time, you know, he's like
- 24:27Speaker 4: the catch of the North Pole and it's actually Santa Claus.
- 24:31Speaker 4: You know, it's it's so it's kind of lighthearted, but
- 24:34Speaker 4: then it goes dark. But then she has lighthearted moments
- 24:37Speaker 4: with Saint Valentine too, so I mean, that's that's kind
- 24:42Speaker 4: of what.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I didn't want to tell. The more that I was
- 24:48Speaker 3: trying to save that for the review.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I was trying to I'm trying to not go too
- 24:54Speaker 4: deep into it because I mean, there's other layer. It's layered.
- 24:58Speaker 4: I can put it that way.
- 25:00Speaker 3: It is it is. And like I said, this is
- 25:03Speaker 3: one of those great novellas whereas one night you just
- 25:07Speaker 3: sitting in your in your bed and you just want
- 25:11Speaker 3: to get something to read, telling you this is any
- 25:15Speaker 3: three pages worth from when you close that last page,
- 25:18Speaker 3: this is what you want to say. What the devil
- 25:23Speaker 3: did not? Just read this? And you should see me
- 25:26Speaker 3: shaking my head like did she really did? The man,
- 25:31Speaker 3: I can't never look at Santa Claus is coming to
- 25:34Speaker 3: town because I'm gonna look at miss Claus and I'm
- 25:36Speaker 3: gonna think you crazy. You know.
- 25:39Speaker 4: It's funny because I've had a lot of people that
- 25:42Speaker 4: are saying that, you know, inbox me or message me
- 25:48Speaker 4: on TikTok, and they're just like, what did you do
- 25:51Speaker 4: to missus Claus?
- 25:52Speaker 3: And I was just like nothing.
- 25:54Speaker 4: You know, it was a lot even when in some
- 25:59Speaker 4: of my reviews it's like wtf did I just read
- 26:02Speaker 4: you know, missus Claus, I'll never look at her the same,
- 26:06Speaker 4: but I mean it can happen.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes you are. You're literally thinking, what the blank
- 26:15Speaker 3: that I just read? And I love that. I love that,
- 26:19Speaker 3: I love that, I love that. So I wasn't able
- 26:24Speaker 3: to tell you about this segment of the show I have.
- 26:27Speaker 3: It's called the Fun Questions. It's actually called the hot Seat.
- 26:31Speaker 3: We want to take it there h and this is
- 26:35Speaker 3: going to be concerned in your book.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Okay, So.
- 26:39Speaker 3: The question is if you could have any nineties R
- 26:51Speaker 3: and B artists play Missus Santa Claus because Lifetime said
- 27:00Speaker 3: we are making a movie out of this, because we
- 27:02Speaker 3: ain't never had nothing like this before, and I'm pretty
- 27:05Speaker 3: sure Lifetime is never Okay, who would you get to
- 27:09Speaker 3: play missus Claus? And why that individual?
- 27:14Speaker 4: You said nineties R and B artists nineties are and
- 27:18Speaker 4: the artists it's a toss up between Mary J. Blige
- 27:23Speaker 4: and Tony Braxton quite honestly, oh so, because Tony, Tony's soulful,
- 27:33Speaker 4: but I don't know, it's something in Tony's eyes where
- 27:36Speaker 4: it's just like you can kind of tell that, you know,
- 27:38Speaker 4: she's kind of like a sneaky. She's a do dirt
- 27:42Speaker 4: behind closed doors type.
- 27:46Speaker 3: So so hey, hold up, so you know they got
- 27:50Speaker 3: the Braxton's right, that's what I've been seeing for a while,
- 27:55Speaker 3: the Tonys innocent as we think she is, you know,
- 28:00Speaker 3: right right, I somebody is here with me.
- 28:06Speaker 4: TIMU got some issues, but Tamar is out and out
- 28:11Speaker 4: and she's out about it. I mean she doesn't, she's
- 28:14Speaker 4: not hiding it, you know, she's just like, you know,
- 28:16Speaker 4: this is me and this is what you get. Like
- 28:19Speaker 4: it if you like it, don't if you don't. And
- 28:20Speaker 4: that's what it is. But I'm not changing. But Tony,
- 28:23Speaker 4: it's like you've got the Tony Braxton, the singer, and
- 28:27Speaker 4: then you've got Tony Braxton.
- 28:30Speaker 3: So she made reference to that in the show. She said,
- 28:35Speaker 3: there is Tony Baxen and there is Tony Braxon. I'm thinking, okay,
- 28:41Speaker 3: I see the girl. Let's see you. Okay. So now
- 28:44Speaker 3: we got Tony and I know that this season I
- 28:50Speaker 3: had to hang out that said, y'all, y'all don't need
- 28:52Speaker 3: to be on TV with all us. But anyways, we
- 28:54Speaker 3: leave that. So we got Tony Braxton as missus Cluk.
- 29:00Speaker 3: So now you know we got to talk about the
- 29:03Speaker 3: player mister Klaus Santa Claus. If you can have any
- 29:10Speaker 3: male from eighties, one of them smooth gentlemen, who would
- 29:25Speaker 3: play mister Klaus? And why did you chose that.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Individual from the eighties?
- 29:33Speaker 3: The eighties, so we're talking about what's just at the
- 29:36Speaker 3: old Jays Luther Vandross Gregory Hins.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Yeah, so Teddy Pendergrams wouldn't be in the eighties. Huh,
- 29:48Speaker 4: he'd be more seventies.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I think Teddy would be in the eighties. I think tey,
- 29:56Speaker 3: let's see. I think you think came up with or
- 30:00Speaker 3: was he dead by then? I'm sorry.
- 30:03Speaker 4: We lost Teddy in early two thousands.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I think Teddy yep, he had that love t KL
- 30:09Speaker 3: came out in nineteen eighty.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Teddy would be mister Claus.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I can see that. If you guys actually look at
- 30:21Speaker 3: the pictures of Teddy Pendergrass, he looks smooth. We look
- 30:27Speaker 3: would have one coming in the door and one leaping
- 30:29Speaker 3: out the back door and they was out and be like,
- 30:32Speaker 3: all right, it's all good. You know, he looks bad.
- 30:37Speaker 3: I saw.
- 30:39Speaker 4: I want to say it was an unsung of with
- 30:41Speaker 4: Teddy Pendergrass, and I was just like I didn't know
- 30:43Speaker 4: Teddy was doing all that, and Santa Claus was the
- 30:46Speaker 4: same way. In this book, You're just like, you know,
- 30:49Speaker 4: I ain't no Santa was doing all that.
- 30:52Speaker 3: You people would be like, what is this wig? I
- 30:58Speaker 3: we find it. We're gonna tell y'all the manua where
- 31:00Speaker 3: you're gonna get it from. Okay, so we got Tony
- 31:05Speaker 3: Braxon and Teddy Pendergrass. But lifetime you need a director.
- 31:13Speaker 3: What author would you give the privilege of directing this movie?
- 31:18Speaker 3: And why that author to direct the movie? So let
- 31:26Speaker 3: me rephrase that a different way. What author would you
- 31:30Speaker 3: like to collaborate with and why?
- 31:37Speaker 4: And I'm just thinking, thinking thinking collab authors because I've
- 31:45Speaker 4: been doing a lot of reading, so I'm trying to
- 31:50Speaker 4: think of books that I've read recently, because it's some
- 31:54Speaker 4: books that I've read recently that I'm just like, you
- 31:58Speaker 4: know what, I'd love to do a book with this person.
- 32:04Speaker 4: Give me one second, let me pull up my candle
- 32:06Speaker 4: really quick. Definitely Octavia Grant because she is basically the
- 32:16Speaker 4: modern day queen of black horror in my opinion. Let's see.
- 32:23Speaker 4: But but Octavia would I don't know, I think that
- 32:31Speaker 4: she Octavia would take missus Claus that next step past.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Normal.
- 32:39Speaker 4: And I mean not to say that she's normal in this,
- 32:41Speaker 4: in this breeding, but I think that she would take
- 32:47Speaker 4: missus Claus to a place that missus Claus would never
- 32:50Speaker 4: think to go. I think I can, or we'll be
- 32:55Speaker 4: able to come back from, and she wouldn't be able
- 32:58Speaker 4: to come back from because I think that the way
- 33:01Speaker 4: that the book ended, I think that she can come
- 33:04Speaker 4: back from that place.
- 33:05Speaker 3: But it's kind of like, you know, don't cross.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Me again, because love, are you going to do a
- 33:13Speaker 4: part two? I'm working on a part too. Last year
- 33:18Speaker 4: I promised everyone that I would put out a part
- 33:21Speaker 4: two to the book. Unfortunately, life got to lifing, so
- 33:26Speaker 4: I ended up taking some time off from writing. But
- 33:29Speaker 4: I do have half of it done. I just it's
- 33:33Speaker 4: just more so a part on me getting to the
- 33:35Speaker 4: second half of it and getting it wrapped up. But
- 33:41Speaker 4: we got some movies that popped in, but they kind
- 33:44Speaker 4: of I can say this, a few people that y'all
- 33:48Speaker 4: asked about at the end of this book made an
- 33:53Speaker 4: appearance in the second book.
- 33:54Speaker 3: I can say that, Oh, okay, I'm not I'm not.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna keep it in. I'm gonna keep it in
- 34:04Speaker 3: so Lifetime said we loved it.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Mm hm.
- 34:09Speaker 3: You we got this on rotation because people are going
- 34:12Speaker 3: and they streaming it. Now, we want to do a
- 34:16Speaker 3: bio pic about you. We want to give you a
- 34:19Speaker 3: chance to tell your story on becoming an author in
- 34:24Speaker 3: turning this into a movie. We want to hear from you.
- 34:27Speaker 3: What modern day actress would you give the honor of
- 34:33Speaker 3: being you? And why.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Modern day actress?
- 34:48Speaker 3: I think I would have to go with m one second.
- 35:01Speaker 4: You know, I've never really thought about that, quite honestly.
- 35:08Speaker 3: A lot of people don't think somebody actually playing them
- 35:11Speaker 3: in the bidio pick. A lot of people don't.
- 35:16Speaker 4: Because I've never thought about it from that perspective. That's
- 35:22Speaker 4: not that I would really have to give thought too.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Well. I do have another question for you, and this
- 35:30Speaker 3: is a question that drew me when you just said this.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Let me get my kindle. How important is it for
- 35:39Speaker 3: authors to be readers? In your thought? Like? Is it
- 35:46Speaker 3: important for authors to be readers?
- 35:48Speaker 4: It's very important, Patria, bear with me one second. I'll
- 35:53Speaker 4: be right back, I'm sure.
- 35:56Speaker 3: And the reason why I asked that, you, guys, is
- 35:57Speaker 3: because there's a lot of authors who are not readers,
- 36:01Speaker 3: And I'm so happy that she said that, because I
- 36:06Speaker 3: want to know how do authors actually keep in contact
- 36:11Speaker 3: with their craft. I mean, when you think about it,
- 36:14Speaker 3: you want to be up to date and current with things,
- 36:18Speaker 3: just like musical artists. They need to be able to
- 36:24Speaker 3: talk about the latest in music and the latest trends
- 36:28Speaker 3: and things along that line. But how is it important
- 36:32Speaker 3: for authors? Why? Why don't a lot of authors read
- 36:40Speaker 3: works by other authors? There's enough idea for everyone, but
- 36:44Speaker 3: I really feel that sometimes authors kind of lose touch
- 36:47Speaker 3: when they're not reading other authors' works. Not saying that
- 36:50Speaker 3: you need to copy their work, not saying that you're
- 36:54Speaker 3: judging their work, but you're just expounding yourself to see
- 36:58Speaker 3: what is popular. But it's not. So that's why I
- 37:02Speaker 3: asked her that question about author's being readers. Okay, so
- 37:10Speaker 3: you guys, we do apologize, but I have to comment
- 37:13Speaker 3: on the dedication of miss Fatima because, like she said
- 37:16Speaker 3: early in the podcast, so she is in the middle
- 37:18Speaker 3: of a training but she didn't want to leave you
- 37:20Speaker 3: guys out. So I'm going to tell you the book
- 37:24Speaker 3: Missus Clause is a serial killer. Like I said before,
- 37:26Speaker 3: it can be found on Amazon and her website right now,
- 37:30Speaker 3: I am looking at the Amazon and it is currently
- 37:35Speaker 3: five nine. It is so worth that five ninety nine,
- 37:39Speaker 3: you guys. Okay, So we would like to thank mister
- 37:43Speaker 3: team for being with us tonight. We're not going to
- 37:45Speaker 3: hold her any longer because we know that she had
- 37:48Speaker 3: another obligation. And I don't want to hold you guys,
- 37:51Speaker 3: because I know some of y'all got gifts. Y'all need
- 37:55Speaker 3: to wrap places, y'all need to go and like oh
- 38:01Speaker 3: you Sue, and like me, you still got an order.
- 38:04Speaker 3: So Ms Fatima, we want to thank you for being
- 38:06Speaker 3: with us tonight.
- 38:08Speaker 4: I am so very thankful for being with y'all tonight.
- 38:12Speaker 4: And my apologies for having technical issues going on. I'm
- 38:17Speaker 4: so sorry, but thank you.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Listen, I just had to comment on your dedication because
- 38:25Speaker 3: you are. You said, I'm gonna be there, I'm gonna
- 38:28Speaker 3: prevent present myself. I'm gonna talk about my brand, I'm
- 38:31Speaker 3: gonna talk about my book. But I still got this obligation. Girl.
- 38:36Speaker 3: You just made it too. You just made it do
- 38:41Speaker 3: what it do. And she did that also too with
- 38:45Speaker 3: this book. I told him the book is on Amazon.
- 38:49Speaker 3: I just noticed. And when you said that that this
- 38:52Speaker 3: book was published lash year. It was yep, So you
- 38:57Speaker 3: guys know my tagline, there's no such thing as an
- 39:01Speaker 3: old book because not everybody is read every book. This
- 39:04Speaker 3: book read like she just published it yesterday. I was
- 39:11Speaker 3: shocked when I went back and I know this is
- 39:14Speaker 3: last shit, this is yesterday. I'm eating on part two and.
- 39:21Speaker 4: I have I'm dropping two more books this Christmas, on
- 39:26Speaker 4: Christmas Day. They're not the Clause books though, okay, but
- 39:35Speaker 4: I am dropping two Christmas books on Christmas Day, love Stories.
- 39:40Speaker 4: And then I promise y'all, I'm gonna have Missus Claus out,
- 39:43Speaker 4: and I'm trying to do Missus Claus and St. Valentine
- 39:47Speaker 4: in the same vein. So I'm trying to drop them
- 39:50Speaker 4: both around the same time, probably mid January. But I'm
- 39:55Speaker 4: working on it. I swear I'm working on it. But
- 39:57Speaker 4: I do have two books dropping Christmas Day.
- 40:00Speaker 3: So you guys, when the books drops, I will automatically
- 40:03Speaker 3: share them on my page. You guys can grab them.
- 40:05Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna go ahead and go back into
- 40:08Speaker 3: my Kindle unlimited because see, I don't want to miss nothing.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I feel like a kid in a candy store, just
- 40:14Speaker 3: grabbing all the books. But before we let you go,
- 40:18Speaker 3: can you tell us where we can follow you, where
- 40:21Speaker 3: we can find your books. I know you got some
- 40:23Speaker 3: projects some off the appearances coming up, but you're gonna
- 40:30Speaker 3: contact with me later about that. Just get us a
- 40:33Speaker 3: rundown before you leave.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Okay, before I go, of course, I'm on Amazon KU.
- 40:39Speaker 4: You can also go to my website at Monroe Publications
- 40:43Speaker 4: m O N R E A U Publications dot com
- 40:47Speaker 4: for my books for any paperbacks. And also I do
- 40:51Speaker 4: have a couple of books that are on Walmart dot com. Actually,
- 40:54Speaker 4: so if you go in type in for Team Monroe,
- 40:57Speaker 4: I've got a couple of books that will pop up there.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I'm back rather you.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Know we're gonna support you and you guys. I think
- 41:18Speaker 3: you guys are being here on another Tuesday night. Merry Christmas, kwanzehnikko.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Whatever you celebrate, just enjoy it with your families, and
- 41:30Speaker 3: you know what, check on others.
- 41:33Speaker 4: Yes, please.
- 41:34Speaker 3: And the reason why I say that is because lately
- 41:37Speaker 3: where I live at we've been having people that have
- 41:41Speaker 3: just decided that they can't no longer go on. Okay,
- 41:46Speaker 3: and one day last week there was God that was
- 41:51Speaker 3: on the bridge before then we had people that were
- 41:55Speaker 3: jumping off for overglasses.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Please, people I understanding know that there is someone out
- 42:04Speaker 3: there that loves you, that is concerned and that praise
- 42:08Speaker 3: for you. One thing that I have always done when
- 42:13Speaker 3: I said my prayers, I say, God, please look over
- 42:16Speaker 3: anybody that knows a letter in my name. And because
- 42:20Speaker 3: my name has a letter A, everybody knows it. So
- 42:26Speaker 3: take a chance, step outside of your comfort zone. Maybe
- 42:31Speaker 3: go tell your neighbor, knock on the door, Hey, merry Christmas.
- 42:35Speaker 3: Thank you for me and my neighbor. Just let's start
- 42:38Speaker 3: to look out for one another and bring empathy and
- 42:41Speaker 3: compassion back in.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Okay, And if I may say, really quick, please check
- 42:47Speaker 4: on the elderly, because there are a lot of elderly
- 42:49Speaker 4: people that have lost all of their family and they're
- 42:51Speaker 4: the only people that are out here. Please check on
- 42:54Speaker 4: any elderly person that you know. If you can take
- 42:57Speaker 4: them some food, maybe take them some tissue, sit with
- 43:00Speaker 4: them for maybe about thirty minutes and just talk because
- 43:03Speaker 4: they love to talk. Please check on the elderly. These
- 43:06Speaker 4: are our elders and we just want to make sure
- 43:08Speaker 4: that they're still okay.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Yes, we know the Holidays is about family and getting
- 43:14Speaker 3: other gifts. But every time it doesn't have to be
- 43:17Speaker 3: the gift of a physical gift. It can be the
- 43:19Speaker 3: gift of club, a gift of I'm concerned, a gift
- 43:24Speaker 3: though I hear you, okay, empathy compassion twenty twenty six.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Guess what. We all in this together. Despite what you
- 43:34Speaker 3: may think, we are all in this together. So you, guys,
- 43:39Speaker 3: another Tuesday night in the book, mister Fatima, we thank
- 43:41Speaker 3: you for being here. Remember there's no such thing as
- 43:45Speaker 3: an old book because not everybody has read every book.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Happy Holidays everyone, See you next Tuesday.
- 43:53Speaker 4: Happy Holidays.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Thank you, get
