- 0:11SPEAKER_01: No stupid stuff this week.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Just a just a nice introduction.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's episode eight of Let's Stick Together with with I feel like I say this every week, but you know, I'm with the lanky men.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: We're both here.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: So we're all here.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: It's a Thursday morning.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Um and yeah, straight into it.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: You wanted to get straight on to your game.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: First of all, good morning.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: How are you?
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm good.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I felt I felt a little uh I'm I'm still a bit uh pissed to be honest.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: I feel a bit left out.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: You guys did a recording without me.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Didn't know didn't notify me on anything.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: I guess you haven't listened because um you know we were quite we're quite nice to you.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Um I had out of sheer uh as like um how do you say it?
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: Too proud, mate.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: That's I'm boycotting you both.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: Boycott we got it wrong, you don't worry.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: We got we got our own league information wrong.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's uh that makes me feel a little bit, yeah.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: Really and and you know, I I pretend to be you once, and I called Jack a Bell End.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: So like it's we try we try to have you there in spirit.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's good.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Um, if anyone has, I mean, we did a special.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: This is gonna air on Monday.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: We haven't played our finals yet, so like I could be, you know, this could be we should do it both ways, Brendan.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: You've just won.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: How'd you feel?
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, ecstatic.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: How about you, Phil?
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: When you lost.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, bad.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: How you've just lost, how do you feel?
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely gutted, Phil.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: How do you feel having won?
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Okay, nice, we've done it.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, cool.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: You've played a game last weekend because someone's actually already messaged in, or one of Brendan's friends has messaged in saying it's annoying how we do the results of the previous weekend because of the way that we have to edit and get the pod out.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: So I'm just gonna put it out there like we can't do anything about it, get it over it, because this is just this is just we're not a professional pod, we've made that abundantly clear.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Um, you drew four all, had a thriller uh at the weekend, played Klein Switzerland KZ.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Um, there was something like five goals in the last quarter.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: Um, you got another yellow card.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Talk us through it.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, it was uh it actually was one of the most fun games I've played in a while.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: It was a really good game.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: It went back and forth, back and forth.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Um and every time they scored, we just we just we climbed, we kind of hang on.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: We took our goalie off with like three minutes to play, and it actually worked.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: New Zealand take notes.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, um, yeah, it was a good game, and like with with a minute to play, uh, I saw a guy run down the down the line, and I thought, yeah, I either get the ball or either get his ankles, and it ended up being his ankles.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: So I'd got it.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: It was like the one decision the referees made, uh, which I was like, yeah, you're right on this one.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Because the rest they kind of fucked up, but that's neither here nor there.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Well, I think the frisky sausage was pretty bang on last week when he said maybe we should get rid of the aerial rule until the umpires know how to do it.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Because I watched the highlights, as I always do, and in the highlights is um an aerial going into the D, and Yup just stood under it.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Um, and I don't know what happens with the ball, but basically the umpire instantly blows for a corner, and you see like how instantly mad, crazy, angry Yupe gets.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: And I was like, that's pretty prevalent to what we've already been talking about.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: So, you know, how did that one feel?
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Well, I want to give I want to give the ref some shit and I want to give him a compliment.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: Like both, it goes both ways.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Like, firstly, uh, I was so fucking annoyed because they missed, and and I said to them after the game, I said, I know you cannot see everything, I know it's sometimes that the game goes really quick and some things pass by you.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: I also don't trap every ball, I also make a stupid tackle to which I get a yellow card.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: So everybody makes mistakes.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Having said that, if you fuck up, own up to your fuck up.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Don't don't act like I'm the one who's stupid.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Because I fucking hate that.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: His his his Higgs and also his explanation at the end of the game, I was like, Yeah, you make so you you you've you've seen so many crucial things today you haven't seen in a game in like this competition to which every point counts, it's fucking important that you guys are better than this.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And then he's his response was hey you everybody makes mistakes.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Well, I fucking lost my shit.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Then I was like, No, no, no, not everybody makes mistakes.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: You just need to be fucking better and see shit.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Having said so, he fucked up, he knew he fucked up.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: So after the game, I was in the clubhouse.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: He actually approached me and he was asking me some stuff.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: So we were actually having like a nice conversation, and he was like, Yeah, we also want to get better, we also we know we don't see everything, but at least I want to know your point of view on like the high ball and whatever.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Again, he still thought the high ball was in his that he was right, then so then I said, Okay, but then there's no discussion anymore, because then we'll never get on the same page.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: But at least there are referees who are like open to like a conversation to see the player's perspective of things, which like kind of makes me sleep a little better, but it fucking annoys me.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: We we actually had a funny one on the weekend.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: We lost 3-2 to OGs.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: We had a horrendous first half, we were 3-0 down within the first 15 minutes or something like that.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: But in the midst of it, I threw an aerial like again, kind of like our guy led really hard into the D.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: He cut, threw an aerial.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: There was no one within about I think seven or eight yards of him, and he brought it down, and the umpire blew a free out for them.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Um, I I should I shit you not, no.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: So I I was like obviously a bit unhappy, and then two minutes later, I said to him, very honestly, and he's a pretty good guy, actually.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: I said, Paul, that is the worst aerial call I've ever seen in my life.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: And he turned to me and he went, I know that was terrible.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: My bad, my bad.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And I was like, You're okay, I can't do anything with this now.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: You've owned up to it, you've said it's okay.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: And then and then you are annoyed that he owned up to it as well.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Because that's what I was I'm like because you want to be angrier, yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're right.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: You are you fucked like you don't know how to respond to that.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: So, in in their defense, and I never take their defense, but in their defense, I don't even know how they should respond because I get annoyed by everything they do.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: As soon as they put on a yellow jersey, I already see red in front of my eyes.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Brendan, how did you get on this weekend?
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: Four all draw as well.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: Uh, we came from behind on all four occasions.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: That's what she said, and uh increment, and then uh one on shootout.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: So yeah, good game.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Um, pretty pretty awful defensively from both teams, but on the ball, pretty good.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: So, from that point of view, an exciting game to watch, but not necessarily good if you were a defender on either team.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: And again, just to make this abundantly clear, that was the last game of phase three, Wimbledon versus Serbiton, which set up the sets up the Wimbledon vs.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Holcomb semi-final because Serbiton Holcomb semi-final.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: And yet again, we've proven that we can't get it right.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: I just should give up with that shit.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: Did we discuss something?
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: Did we discuss the uh OG's cup game the other week?
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: So you you'll enjoy this.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: So there was a cup game the other week between OG's and Oxted on the stroke of half time, so just before half time.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: So sorry, Ben, just to just got Oxted is the one with with the great chicken, right?
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay, yeah, okay, salty, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: Um so they were playing in a cup game just before half time was a short corner.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: Anyway, basically what happened transpired is the goal they Oxted scored.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: Umpires had a little bit of discussion, decided to disallow it.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: Five minutes into half time, the umpires called the captains over and the coaches over and explained that they're actually going to give the goal.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: So five minutes into half time, they've now changed their decision again.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: At which point the teams are like, Are you is this a serious thing?
- 8:39SPEAKER_02: Like, and then obviously they've just played on, so they've just accepted the fact that it has been given and that's it.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: But it's like five minutes into halftime, you're getting told that you've just conceded must be like a complete change of halftime team talk.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: That's like extreme bad umpiring, surely.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Speaking of Oxted, I asked for people for a logo last week, and um you know, if anyone wanted to send a logo in, uh incorporating you, we got one reply, and it was just I think a salty oxtead player sending in an oxted the oxted logo, just sent that to me.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: So thank you for that.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Um I got followed by Yoop's baby girl on Instagram, which like kind of made me um question everything in life.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: I didn't know why uh whether I should be happy, proud, terrified.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Um I had no clue how to feel.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: I think that is officially you making it.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Is it?
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know because it's weird though, isn't it?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a it it might be like a 50-year-old dude wanking behind his laptop listening to my voice.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: So that's also Brendan.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's better, Brent, than you making your own burger account called the Frisky Sausage.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Very valid.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: You but I haven't made it.
- 10:01SPEAKER_02: That's not a very valid.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: I haven't made it classic.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: On to our key discussion point this week.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Now, um I did ask this guy if he wanted his own alias, um, but he sent in this is Toby Reynolds Cottrell from the GB Squad.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Sorry, Toby, I know you said you didn't want to be named, but you've been named.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: He sent a huge piece of a message, an email, I don't know, to Brendan on the use of alcohol and growing the game.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: And we all thought, well, me and Brent, I think, thought, I don't know what Yub thinks, it was a quite an interesting topic to discuss.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: So um, I was just gonna go through some of the stuff he said, and then maybe we can talk about it.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: So sorry for the monologue.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: Um, he talked about sporting examples where they've used alcohol.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: So, first of all, there's the darts, it's an unreal sport to watch, but in general, people go there to drink and darts on in the background.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, fucking hell.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Wait, wait, Phil, before you I thought I thought you were like everybody gets drunk on a pitch and we start playing hockey to make it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: I thought, what the fuck are we talking about?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: I thought this guy was legend, but I don't know if it doesn't work.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: What do you mean?
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, go on.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I get it.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: That's my that's my bad.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I didn't I didn't explain that well enough.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: This is people watching.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: So, how to grow the game, how to grow supporters, fan groups, uh, fan bases, etc.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: Um, cricket, it was a boring old man's game, and then suddenly, bam, there's the T20, the hundred come along, cheap membership tickets.
- 11:41SPEAKER_01: Um there's Beers Galore, essentially just a big party.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Half the people don't even understand the rules, that you can't even see the ball.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: I've been to a few cricket games, but you go there for the you know, the atmosphere, the shithousery, and you know, it's it's it's the argument that then hockey, you know, the ball's too small, you can't follow the game, is is redundant because people, a lot of people go and watch cricket and you can't see shit.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: This is mainly his messaging.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: I'm just kind of putting it into my own words.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Uh rugby sevens game that wasn't that big.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: They made it fancy dress and beers, and now it's like a worldwide tournament, and lots and thousands and thousands of people go to Twickenham every year, go for the fun of fancy dress and and and alcohol.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: Again, like I think could go into rugby and football, but we all know I think like the drinking culture, people go into the pub before the games.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Um obviously stuff's happened because of who hooliganism within football, but like again, it's kind of centered around alcohol, and then uni hockey culture here, you which you might not know about.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Um people go to uni and you play uni hockey.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Even you know, me and Brendan both went to Sheffield Hallam.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Um, uni hockey there is incredible fun.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: You go there every Wednesday, uh, you play fixtures against other universities, and anyone who is part of the uni club is down there, you know, all day drinking and hurling abuse at the other team.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Now, this is where I think he's talking about how we can get people through the door.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: So make cheap tickets for 18 to 25s, I think is one of one of his uh suggestions.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: But the atmosphere will then come because of like trying to target these young people to come and have fun at a hockey game.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: I'll stop there because this has been quite difficult.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: But what do you think what do you guys think?
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: I'll stop there because it's quite Toby's point is basically can we appeal to a to a younger generation rather than just families?
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Um what what does like when I think about it, like if you think where our home pitches like or where hockey clubs are, they're not necessarily that close to many pubs.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Hamstead's probably like the only one that is actually like within proper walking distance.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: Like I think the location thing is probably a bit of an issue for hockey clubs, but in which case, like I think clubs actually do it quite well, but like our internationals, for example, like Lee Valley is actually quite like a walk away from anything, so you either have to like settle into somewhere in Stratford and then get across, or you pay for a really expensive beer when you get there.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Like it's a combination that's it's a difficult one, I think.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: I'll pitch in.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: I actually I to be honest, I actually like this idea a lot, uh, or like the idea like like to maybe um like your the other solution to everything in England is franchise it.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Um, like every time you guys have a problem with something, I we get a comment by someone saying, Yeah, let's franchise it.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: So I like this idea a lot because I'm done with all your franchising.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Um, but I think it it's hard to like create it if you know what I mean.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Like, do you want to get like a lot of people like wasted in the stands?
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Is that like the way to grow the game?
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: Like, does everybody have to be like stupid drunk to enjoy the game of hockey?
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: If you know what I mean, it's a good question.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: I know what he means, but like darts, I think is the best example.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: I don't don't think a lot of people who go to a darts event actually care about the darts, half of them don't even watch the darts.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: So, do you actually grow the game or do you make it like an event?
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: I know for like uh there's a couple of clubs in Holland, like Hurley and Kampong and um Pinoquet, a little bit.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: They have like a well-known, and it's called a Tay Day, a Tay Dan Son.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: It's like uh I think you guys know Tilburghs has something.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: It's like uh when when both the men's and women's team play at home, they make it like a super sundae, and we at Orange Road have it also every once in a while, and it's like it like a party afterwards, and it creates a lot of people to come, and people already start drinking like pretty early.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And I think hockey is already kind of uh at least in Holland, it is it's kind of a like not a drinking sport, because I don't know if that even exists, but like it's a sport in which like um it used to be all about like the parties.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: The hockey parties are in Holland really well known, like a lot of like football players or whoever you don't have to be involved in hockey to come to a hockey party, if you know what I mean.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's it's already social.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: I think you're right.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think maybe this is aimed at, or the way I've took this is it's aimed at maybe international hockey or even club hockey, but how they encourage like fans who are younger to come, and how do they do that?
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: Well, cheap drinks and cheap tickets, you know.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Get the 13-year-olds drinking.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: Well, do you remember?
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: Was it your game?
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: Was it our game a couple of years ago?
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: You you you fell in love with some uni guys last year when we played you.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: So we came to Lee Valley, and there were a load of uni guys in the stands, and they made more noise.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: There's about 20 of them, they made more noise than anyone else.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: They were all on the beers, and they were like, I think giving you some stick.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Um, and then you went and had a photo with them at the end.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: I don't think I've made that up.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, that's that's completely true.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: That I think is last year, it's the uni culture.
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: So, like, I think he just wants more of that.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: So it's not saying you know, we want to stop the family inclusion because hockey is a family sport, we want that, but it's just also saying, could there be a separate, you know, target audience, which is 18 to 25s, getting people through the door, making cheap tickets for them people, because then they start to bring the atmosphere.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: 100.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: I even think, and and like I've I've talked about this with uh guys from Meyenbourg like a couple weeks ago, like in at Orange Zwat, like when we were like uh the club that used to win everything.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, now we're gone to shit.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: But like uh we had like a like a fan base, so it was like they had like this groups app, it was like 50 people were like in this groups app, and they every like important game or every playoff game, they bought like uh torches and they bought like is that correct?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Torches, like the flares, flares, flares.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Sorry, so they bought like flares and they bought like everything, and they had like songs, they had like a big uh drum and whatever.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: So that create so we were like, okay, how can we create it?
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe we should like, and it's it's it's actually kind of pathetic, but I think it'll work.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: If you like invest in that as a club, so like get like a second, third, fourth team of like guys or girls or whatever, give them some money to like buy flares, um, buy a drum kit, whatever.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Think of some songs, like actually create some vibes.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Like, Phil, you knew last year we played, I think it was Blumenthal last game, and there was like a like a whole bus of like Belgian, it was like a family of Thibaut Stockbrooks, Jamie van Aert, like they came in with like 50 guys, and they were just singing, drinking, they were like shit faced.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: The whole game where they were like giving Arto van Doris' stick, they were like giving Cherry Brigma's stick, they were like singing every time someone of ours touched the ball, they were like, Yeah, it was like a real football atmosphere.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: So I think I don't know what the uh the name was of the guy who sent this in, or like your coach, but I think it's a great idea to like at least it also creates atmosphere, and if it creates atmosphere, it's more fun to come and it's like it will grow the game.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So I like it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: We have it's a knock-on effect because yeah, the issue we have.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: So ropes has just written it now.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: Like the issue we've had, so in the indoors, for example, like our indoors is like our best venue, but you can't have fly flares, like banners and signs are like kind of not encouraged, and like the finals this weekend, like flares again banned, like signs, banners very much like not encouraged.
- 19:39SPEAKER_02: I don't even know if they're banned for this weekend, but it's the same for internationals as well.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: So we can why would you bend them?
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: I I guess from a safety point of view.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but who gives shit about safety?
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: We want some spectacle.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: What why would you that's so typical English?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Like, well, this is let's make it let's let's let's get rid of all the fun, let's get rid of all the atmosphere, and let's let's let's have people sit down with a cup of tea and watch a game of hockey.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Is this where this is the this is where we're at, though, isn't it?
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: This is this is the whole point of like if you want to create an atmosphere, you've got to give people the opportunity to create an atmosphere.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just chug a couple of like uni guys, give them like 50 50 quid, like put like chug in with your whole team, give them 50 quid, let them buy some flares, like and also who's gonna kick them out.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: There's probably some some guy who also doesn't give a shit who's looking at the flares and thinks, yeah, it it'll probably cost me more effort to tell them to put it away than to just accept it.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, also you guys need to be a little like get off the fence and just start doing some rogue shit.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: So, this is a good point, but there's a couple of points here.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: So, first of all, Ames he told me that this week that I've just wrote down that Brennan's just said at the finals weekend, you're not allowed, it's it's prohibited to bring signs, banners, or flares to Serbiton.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: Now, I don't know what a sign or a banner is doing, I don't know who that's offending.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Um, or uh how that's uh health and safety, because uh unless you're using it as a weapon, you know, I feel I feel like there's a real problem there.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: On your your original point, Yub, um again, I'll I'll give them a shout out.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: E.G.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: East Grinstead, the EG Faithful have tried to do what you've done.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: I think there must be a couple uh like a few of them have started this group where they go down with a drum and trying to sing songs to the to the uh every home game that East Grinstead have.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: And it is it is pretty good.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: Like someone has to start it, and that's the type of thing at Holcombe the other week.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Someone just brought a drum from their school and they got one of the second team guys to just bang it and shout, Come on, Holcomb, and you wouldn't believe the difference it made.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: Like you were like, Oh, there's there's people there, there's a drum.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Like, it's I think it's um contagious as well.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Like, it is again you're trying to make it so that if you create that atmosphere, more people come, but also like I feel Like sh people surely know this is that playing in front of a crowd, playing in front of passionate people is seriously motivating for players.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 100%.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: And I like I think internationally, I think that was the only time there was really some like giving like some some shithy when we played you guys in England.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Like I fucking loved it.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I I love those guys who were like giving us shit that we were actually it was going back and forth a bit because I was also like um I don't know how to say that I was also going a little bit at them and it was pretty funny actually.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: But like I think the only like the only example I know is like Argentina away.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when you play Argentina, and I know the women are women's team, they have like yeah, it's not they have like a big rivalry with like Argentina, and every game is a bit tense.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: I think they played, I think it's a 2010 World Cup in Rosario in Argentina.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: They were actually like like it was some of the girls said it was like pretty like hostile, like it was a pretty hostile environment that they were actually like Argentina, like really shouting at them and looking fucking, you know, how the Argentina can get really intense.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: So I but I think it hockey needs more of that.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Also, to get rid of like the the posh culture, uh or like the how everybody's is looking at hockey, like is it's viewed as a really still, as a really posh like sport, like a like an upper class sport.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I think it needs some because it's like we're running, we're running out of a goal and somebody's hitting a ball at us at 130 miles an hour.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: That's part of our sport.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: So we're not we're not a we're not a bunch of pussies, everyone.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: We're pretty we're pretty tough.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: No, it's I think it's I think it's a great conversation to have because it almost feels like there's lots of people I know in England and how the sports run here is that you know people are digging their heels in, putting their heels into the sand and saying, you know, we're not moving, this is who we are, with this family friendly thing.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: But it doesn't mean that you can't have both.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: I mean, sports lots of sports target multiple different you know audiences.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: There's a fact, there's always a family section in the football stadiums, but there's also the crazy mental area of football stadiums, which is which is the whole point, isn't it?
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: You want more people to come, you have to start spreading the spreading the word in better ways.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Um the other thing is like because the stadium's never because the stadium's never full, you've you've got that space, but just not necessarily utilizing it.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so England, if you do what you always did, you get what you've always got.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: That's hey mate.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: There's this there's people drinking tea in Holland as well.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: We went to some quiet places last year.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: There is people drinking tea, but like you guys are so proud of your fucking tea.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: And again, um, by the way, I think um it it may it may have been an accident, it may have not been an accident, but the idea of everyone before the game chugging like a bottle of uh Jack Daniels and then start a hockey game, I think it also would create a lot of good like content.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: You need to come to a UK hockey festival, then you'll appreciate that kind of attitude.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but like hey, how fun would it be to like see Vela versus like uh Venye?
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: And before the game starts, you see them like chugging a bottle of like whatever.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: Whoever finishes it first gets against the ball and will start the game.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: I think just if you want to create some viewership, I think that'll be it.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Drinking hockey.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: The the idea that if you make a mistake, you've got to drink, you get subbed instantly, you gotta go drink.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta less like shots of tequila, like right on like the as soon as you come off.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Instead, if you get chugged the bip because you subs you you substitute it wrong, and the coach says let's chuck like let's uh sub with bips, you know.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Everyone does it except Orange Rhodes and there were 12 on the pitch.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: But like instead of that, you get like a little like little bottle of tequila, and you have to like finish it before you get off the field.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: That'll create that'll create, that'll grow the sport.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: Um, a couple of questions just to finish this before we have a break.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Um, first of all, Lewis Hammett got in touch and wanted to ask a couple of questions.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: Who is someone who you've who's a player who could have been a top international but didn't make it due to wasted talent or choosing another path?
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Do you have anyone that springs to mind that you were like, wow, they could have been amazing, but they didn't make it?
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, Arj for us.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: I think that's quite a well-known one, I think, to be fair.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: Um you're gonna say his full name just we had a guy called Arjun Drayton Chana who plays for Serbi now.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: Sorry, sorry, I didn't get the name.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: What?
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: Arch Arjan Drayton Chana.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: He was like so much bad for it, by the way.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: He might have been your age.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: Still is your age, I think, funnily enough.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: Uh he um he was like definition of like unbelievably talented.
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: Got a got a contract back in 2012?
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: 2011?
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: He was like, yeah, they were he was tipped to be like the next big thing, and then basically came to uni and then kind of didn't really finish uni and kind of just went back to his roots and kind of didn't necessarily hit the potential that he probably should have done.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: Sometimes, can I stop you?
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: You're so fucking bad at explaining things.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: You said you said Arj got a contract.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: For anyone who's listening who doesn't know what that means, like what does that mean?
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: Sorry, so Arj Arge got given a um GB contract, full-time contract, um, and decided to turn it down, which is fair enough, like everybody's path is different, um, but then didn't really commit to his next stage, which was university, dropped out of university, and then kind of went back home to Canak and kind of just played ones and kind of didn't really fully commit there either, um, and kind of just basically just got out of shape, didn't necessarily well, I'm nowhere near hit the potential that he probably could have done.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: That's the one that comes to mind for me.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Um, for me, Brendan Creed comes to mind.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: If I think if Brendan would have stayed at Beerschot and didn't fuck off at half half of the year, he would have been a great international player, he would have been well known, he would have made a transfer to the Hofklasse, but because he fucked off there, his whole incredible credibility went to shit.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: So Brendan would have been like Artur van Dore mixed with Yuke de Mole, mixed with Son of the Wine.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Is there anyone that actually comes to mind?
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Um tell you what, you mix them three players, that's a hell of a player.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: That's a hell of a compliment, Brent.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Artie Van Dora is Sonda the Vine, and then you get some like lankiness in there with you.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's the running down the ride side.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: Some running down the ride at side.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Well, not really, really.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I've I've played in the youth with some guys, but they're like like no one knows him, um, who were like so much more talented than like then like for me, for instance.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Like, for instance, my younger brother is like an like an excellent example.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: I think he had way more talent, like technical skills than me.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: He just um his vision of um like he has a problem with authority, and my philosophy is always that every international player deep down is a bitch.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Because you always have to take shit from a coach.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: You're always you can be as tough as you want, but in the end, at the end of the day, the goat the coach will decide whether you'll play a tournament or not, whether you have time playing or not.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: So deep down, everyone's a bitch.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Deep, deep down.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: He just refused to be a bitch.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Every coach he got was a shit coach, in his opinion, which like said more about him than the actual coaches he got.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: I got some of the coaches he had, I thought they were pretty good.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: He just never could accept the fact that sometimes he got taught what to do.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: He was always like, Well, fuck no.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: If you say I have to go left, I'll 100% go right.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: So he was, I think, more talented than me, but then yeah, again, he never wanted to listen, and he kind of off and started music in which no one has to tell him what to do.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: And I think, but I do think I have one thing, and I think that's uh view, like it's not viewed as a lot, and I think it's selection processes and stuff, no one is really looking at it, but mental toughness or like a good mentality, even from a young age, is also a talent, in my opinion.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: If you can deal with adversity, if you're like young and you you have like a great mentality, if you like work hard, if you're not spoiled, if you just go at it, and if you like like dare to put your hand on the ground and someone is whacking a ball through you, I think that's also talent.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: It's not only dragging a ball from left to right.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: And I know if it comes from me, it's a bit like, is this guy really saying that?
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: But like, I'm serious.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: I think so, like wasted talent.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: I'm always like, yeah, but being mentally tough and being like able to say to your friends, I'm not joining for drinks, I'm I have to train at a young age and stuff like that, is also a talent.
- 31:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you absolutely hit the nail on the head thing.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: There's quite a lot of like theory behind controlled adversity and leading to success.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: But the problem is obviously controlled adversity is a pretty difficult thing.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Um, but extreme adversity is what basically makes or breaks quite a lot of people.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: But if you can from a young age, if you can get it into a point where it's controlled, then the the bigger decisions become less big and they become easier to make.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: So actually, like it's really interesting the theory on adversity.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: It's actually something I would recommend looking into for people if they're actually interested, on a serious note, from what normally is a jokey point.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: No, but like I like I I I completely agree, but I I always think I always hate when people say, Oh, yeah, he would have been so good, yeah, but he never had the right mentality.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yeah, then then you were never able to be good.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Like this is that's that's like saying to someone who has a great mentality, oh, he would have been such a good hockey player, but he did he he never he never knew how to hold a stick.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: So it means the exact same thing.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: For me, like if we're talking about in especially in England, like we talk about people give private schools basically giving everything on a plate for people, but irony is it's actually people who don't pay for school have to it's tougher for them, but it's better for them because it's tougher, so they learn to deal with the tougher situations so that when something properly tough comes along, they're able to deal with it better and able to cope.
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Whereas a lot of the time, like when you've had everything given to you on a plate, suddenly it's actually quite difficult to try and actually be like so to actually deal with a tough thing when everything's been given to you from a young age.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: Like for me, like there's so much more advantage to having it tough from a younger age than there is like when having it easy.
- 32:45SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I mean?
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, you both took my point away from me, so thank you for doing that.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: That was nice.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: And you actually articulate it really well.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Like, Lewis, it's a stupid question.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: Um, we've gone into it quite nicely.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: It's a stupid question.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: If you there's no such thing as wasted talent.
- 33:05SPEAKER_02: That's a that's a fair thing, sir.
- 33:07SPEAKER_01: Right, we're gonna take a break, we'll be back in a second.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: Yes, queen.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Is that the sound of my head for a while?
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: Right, Lewis Hammett also asked uh one more question which I thought was a little bit interesting.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Um he asked if you could take two to three players from each line of the England and GB team and say they were injured or they were out, who are you predicting that's like coming through for like LA 2028?
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: Now you this isn't really for you, but this is just a quick one.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: Like who's who's the young guys where you're seeing in five years time?
- 33:49SPEAKER_01: It's five years time to to Los Angeles Olympics.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Who's who's coming through?
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: It's quite like a I don't I don't necessarily know that many of like the really really young guys coming through.
- 34:03SPEAKER_02: I think I think Connie Williamson is a good chance in terms of like he's got some serious quality on the ball.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: Struan Walker, I think, is a youngster as well.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: Like, but we've also got like Aubrey, Wallace, Soresby, like we've got guys that are young enough that could quite comfortably make it that like to LA.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: So I think what's quite exciting is the fact that actually a lot of the guys are already in the group that will be really good coming into LA.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, you did start anyway.
- 34:31SPEAKER_01: I think he was saying if you'd listen to the first part, it was if you could take two to three players out of each line.
- 34:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well that's what Connor Williamson and Struan are probably the two big ones for me, like coming through.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I guess the young guys we've got like obviously James Mazarello, who's still only 22, who should be hitting his prime.
- 34:50SPEAKER_01: We've got people like Sam Taylor, who's um only 21, I think, and is is showing signs that in you know a few years' time he could be an unbelievable, an unbelievable player.
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, I mean we haven't really answered that, but we'll move it on.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: I wanted to bring up again the frisky sausage, aka Brendan has been in touch again.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: It's not me.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: It's not Brendan, it's big, it's it's not Brendan.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: We'll just stop that joke now.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Um, and he again has just been on it asking us a couple of questions or making some making some comments.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: Um he likes a bit of a feisty comment anyway.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: He said the the Cassian brothers from South Africa have just moved from they've just announced that they're moving from the German second league team and they're moving to Hadiem in the Hoofklasse next year.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: Um, and he asks, do they need to hold hands everywhere?
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: Uh why do they come as a package deal?
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: Like uh their dream of coming the Hoof class is a reality.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: You what do you what do you think of this?
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Of the holding hands part or of the both either all of it.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: I I think it's uh like I think it's actually really cool that they that they are um that they're going together.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Like if if I was like I don't know their like background or anything, like I think it's pretty cool if they like go on their their hunt for their dream together.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: If you're brothers and you go to to to the Olympics together, and then if your biggest dream is to play in the Hovklas, they'll actually make that.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: I think it's pretty cool.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: I know I'm kind of known as a hater, but I actually think this is pretty cool.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think HDM is again, it's the perfect club for them.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: Like not like HDM, but I think um I uh don't get me wrong, I think they are like really good players, and I they're like really quick, they're technical, they're like they're like good players, but I think they're so uh uh used to like just doing whatever they want on a hockey pitch, just get all the freedom they want, just eliminate, run into a couple forehands, try and score some goals, and it doesn't really matter what you do.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: I think that fits in perfectly with like a team that's fighting for a spot in the home class or is trying to stay in the home class.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: So I think it's a good move for them.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't think they would have worked out really good yet at like a top club in the home class.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: So I think it's a it's actually a good step, and I think they're they'll also help uh HDM because they're two like they are two good strikers, they're like tough to defend.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: So I think it's a solid move, to be honest.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: And I I know that's probably not the response uh Frisky Sosuit wanted, but it's the response you'll get.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: No, I think I think it's I think you've made some really good points.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: I think they're both like we uh I mean we've kind of said that you know he the um Mustaferk team shouldn't have got you know young player of the World Cup, but in no way were we saying that he's not a good player.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: He's that they are two serious talents.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Every time I've played against them, I've been like, Jesus, they're good.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Um and in a few years' time you could fully see them going to a big club in in the Hoofklasser.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: As you said, it's probably the stepping stone that you know if you're if you're playing from out of out of Europe and you're making your way and you want to make it to the to the big time in Europe, they they're making the right way of doing about it, like they're they're doing it in the right way.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: You wanna you don't just want to go straight to bloody campong and burn out, you want to make sure that you go and prove yourself at the at the right levels.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: Um and if they and if they and if they're good, um and then if they listen and give me a call.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: What that means is you will be giving you a call if you're any good.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like my own, just business man.
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: Um Frisky Sos just made one more comment.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: He said, Surely the US women's field hockey should be crushing world hockey more than it is with the cash and facilities they have, you know, with their college game.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: If anyone hasn't seen, like if you look at I think it's North Carolina Carolina College field hockey, they're set up and duke, like they're they're set up, they're the pitches, the change rooms, the the cash they've got.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: I think some of the coaches that they entice, like it is a really cool setup what they do over there.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: I don't know what happens when you leave college.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: That's the only question I had about that.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: There's a ceiling, there's a massive ceiling, it's a really low ceiling.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: Like, look at their best player, Erin Madsen.
- 39:19SPEAKER_02: She's now she's now the coach, she graduated and became the coach.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Which is the Michael Jordan of hockey, right?
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the Michael Jordan of hockey.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: That's ridiculous.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: Like, imagine finishing at 22 to 23, finishing college, and then just going, yeah, I'm just gonna take over.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Like that is as bonkers, man.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: Like, surely you want to still play and like push yourself to be the best you can be, but when the ceiling's so low, like I'm not surprised that they're exactly where they are in the world of field hockey because they're just there's no there's nothing post-college.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: And again, it's it's also like you can have nice facilities and stuff, but like I'm I think field hockey in America is like the 29th sport or something, no one plays field hockey there.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: Like I said, I don't think uh there's almost I think Aki Keppler and uh the guy who played in Germany, I think Harris is his name, right?
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Who was like pretty he played at Mannheim, he was actually pretty good.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and those are the only two like American players I like know, to be honest.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: I don't think there's a lot of like American, like like good American players because it's just not a big sport there.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: They have everything, everything's based around uh basketball, American football, uh baseball.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Um do I miss did I miss one?
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: Maybe ice hockey.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, ice hockey or crack uh yeah.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: The other thing is like because there's such a low ceiling.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: The low ceiling also means that like the standard of coaching is probably nowhere near as high as what it is in Europe, like or like Australia or like that kind of area, because the the ceiling is just that low that there's no real competition post-college that you don't get the attraction of coaches.
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: Sorry, Brent, you've said ceiling 52.
- 40:55SPEAKER_02: I don't have the word ceiling today, it's my word of the day.
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you know.
- 40:58SPEAKER_02: Um, but like that because that because there is nothing to play for post-college, like what is the benefit?
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: And what is the benefit of winning the college stuff?
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: Like, it's the same thing in the UK.
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Like, if you if you are only out to win bucks, like that's it.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: Whereas, like, you look at Nottingham Union.
- 41:12SPEAKER_02: I spoke to a Nottingham Uni coach this week, and he was saying that like it's great winning bucks, but actually staying in the Prem is a massive thing for them, like it was bigger than the Bucks but stuff.
- 41:21SPEAKER_02: The buck stuff is the add-on, it's like that in the in the US, you're just limited.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Um, by the way, um, because this is something that's been like I'm a huge fan of America, I love the country, I love how they approach sports, I love everything coming, but I fucking hate how they how they make everything evolve around their own country.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the girl's name is, but that already says a lot.
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: She is not, and I mean, like, not even close to being the Michael Jordan of hockey.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: Aaron Matson, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Her she like, come on.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: There's like maybe there's like a handful of people in America who actually play field hockey.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: I think if you would put her in the women's hoof klasse, she would not make a top team.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: I've never seen her play, but I'm just assuming, and I'm really good at assuming stuff without really any factual basis basis.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: Just stop fucking making if you do something well in America that you're like the best in the world at it.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: That's fucking annoying.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Like, she is not close.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: Put her in a put her one-on-one against Xander Watt or something.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: See if she's the Michael Jordan hockey.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: Stop fucking hyping up everything in America that is like the best.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: She just, if you become a coach at 22, it says a lot about how shit the level is at America.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: No one becomes a good coach at 22.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: The level is fucking shit there, so you're not the Michael Jordan too.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: New idea, though.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: You know, in basketball, they're always going on about one-on-one and who would win.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what about a hockey one-on-one world championships?
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: That's an episode.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: We have we have ourselves we we're making a bracket, a one-on-one bracket.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we're doing a 16 top players in the world.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: Give us, yeah, our listeners, send us an email at the why the the the Y1 1v1 bracket let's stick together at gmo.com.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Send us an email with your 16 best hockey players in the world, and we'll make a bracket out of it.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but it wouldn't be the best field hockey players because you've got some hockey players who just wouldn't be any good at one-on-ones.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: I don't give a shit.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: Like, Brendan's really good at hockey, but you do not want to put him in a one-on-one contest.
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: So no, I'm quite good at one-on-ones because you can't you can't do anything to do what I mean, like you just bundle your way through, don't you?
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: Like, but okay, but then maybe maybe maybe no, like, but like who would win in a one on one?
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: Like, it's maybe a different part of sport, but like I'm 100% sure we'll we'll get like a fun bracket out of it.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: We'll make the we'll make the field like pretty big so that also the runners can have like a go at it.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: Hey boys, boys, who's who's winning?
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: In a one-on-one out of you two.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: Not even close.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: First, it's first to seven.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: There's a D, and there's a goalie.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: You have to.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: If you win the ball back, you have to take it outside the D, then you play straight away.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: It's first to seven.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Who's winning?
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: I genuinely don't know who's winning.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know 100% sure I'm winning.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think seven-one.
- 44:25SPEAKER_02: Hey, I'll just I think it'll be I think it'll be close.
- 44:28SPEAKER_02: I think it'll be a seven seven six or a seven-five.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: I'll win seven-one.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: I'll also beat you, Phil.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: Seven, two.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: He'll get one more.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: Mate, you can defend for shit.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not the greatest defender, but you can defend for shit.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: May I'm a changed man.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, fuck you.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: You're not a changed man.
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: You wear a glove, and I've never seen you put your hand anywhere remotely close to the ground.
- 44:49SPEAKER_02: To be fair, Phil has been defending well recently.
- 44:54SPEAKER_00: Changed man.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: However, I think it's just a fad and he's gonna become shit again at some point soon.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: But for the moment, he's been defending well.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: I think so.
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: It's like me and me in this household.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: I'll occasionally like vacuum the house myself, but it will it will never be something that's really in me.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: Fucking terrible analogy.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: That's a great analogy.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: But that is a really, really interesting discussion, though.
- 45:19SPEAKER_01: I'd actually like to see it happen now.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: We have a one-on-one championships, and you enter and you go through like a like the Wimbledon tennis.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: It's like you get seated.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it'd be unbelievable.
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: Do you remember?
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: Do you remember the Nike advert on the ship that used that had the cage with the two small goals where it had like unbelievable the Scorpion advert?
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you remember it.
- 45:40SPEAKER_02: That would be quite cool for like a hockey cage event of like 1v1.
- 45:44SPEAKER_02: You're in a cage, first of seven, play.
- 45:47SPEAKER_02: I think that'd be fucking cool.
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: Shit, we're on something.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: Well, okay, well, let us go away with that because that just came to me as Hube was talking.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: But we'll go away.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: If you've got any like amazing one-on-ones that you want us to talk about or something, let us know and we'll we'll try and talk about it.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: So we'll go, we'll run with that idea.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: Let's move on to um shit or hit.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: You two haven't done any of this because you're not prepared or interested in helping me do an episode, so I'll just crack on.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: You this is your fucking category.
- 46:20SPEAKER_01: This is my time to call you out and tell you to sort your shit out.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: Mate, uh, all I do is give.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: I give you excellent things like shit or hit, underrated, overrated, and it's not my job to oh, I just come up with I'm just a creative mind, and you have to fill in the brackets.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Okay, so Rofield, our our one of the my teammates at Holcomb, um, asked me this week.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: He said, adult ball boys, shit or hit.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: We we had we had a couple of adult bull boys at the weekend for OGs versus Holcomb, and I didn't even really notice.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: And then he said to me on Tuesday night, so you should get that on the pod.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: So here it is.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: But like okay, it it's shit.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: Like you cannot put a bip on a guy who's like 50 years old, put him next to the field, like chunk, let him chunk balls.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: The one thing I do think we sometimes have like ball boys and girls who are like eight years old, they don't get they don't get the speed of the game, and they also don't have like the throwing power to throw a ball for a long corner, so it always stops like 10 meters in front of you.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, this doesn't fucking help.
- 47:35SPEAKER_00: They don't get it.
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: They're like half of the time, there's like a friend of them talking next to the sideline, and they don't even pay attention.
- 47:42SPEAKER_02: This is the amateur bit that we're talking about though.
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: We only had two, we had two ball boys, we had one sideline that had ball boys on this weekend.
- 47:48SPEAKER_02: We didn't have it the other side, so I'd rather have adult ball boys.
- 47:51SPEAKER_02: Is that like that?
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: They're they're alignmen in football, they're just up and down with flags every now and then.
- 47:58SPEAKER_02: We only had yeah, we only had two.
- 47:59SPEAKER_02: So our right hand, so on the fan side, we had ball boys, and on the other side we didn't.
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: So obviously, like if it goes out one side, it's a quick ball back in.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: Whereas if you go the other side, it's a real slow try and find it.
- 48:10SPEAKER_02: It's like oh, really inconsistent.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: Like for me, it's and it's it's it's actually a really good one, but it's and I know there are kids nine out of ten times, so you can really blame them.
- 48:21SPEAKER_00: But I fucking hate a did like a not invested ball girl or boy in a game.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: Like, we're playing this tense game, it's like three-all, and the ball goes over the back, and I'm like, Yeah, give me the ball, give me the ball, and you see them just talking to their mates, like like, yeah, I was playing Fortnite last night at like six.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: Like, it's so fucking annoying, and I know there are kids, so you can't blame them, but fuck them.
- 48:45SPEAKER_00: I fucking hate it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: It's annoying.
- 48:47SPEAKER_01: It's really funny when you get the one who's not even talking to his mate, he's just daydreaming, just not interested in what's going on in front of him, and he's just staring at the clouds, and you're like, They're my favorites, and you need you need like please, can I have the ball?
- 48:57SPEAKER_01: And it takes about 14 shouts.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: It's like, mate, mate, mate, you can't get mad at them.
- 49:06SPEAKER_02: No, you can't, and they're volunteers, you can't get mad at a volunteer, it's the love of the game.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: It's it's like the love of the game.
- 49:13SPEAKER_00: Joe Hart's video, Gardy of City, yeah.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, give me a fucking ball.
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, I've I've been close to that a couple of times this year.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: So, next one.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: This has already happened because we've this is getting aired when we've already had the finals, but you are paying£3.99 to watch a day of the England hockey finals on YouTube.
- 49:37SPEAKER_02: Not on YouTube, on their own streaming platform, on their own streaming service, uh it's the same price as watching the school finals.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Do you think it should be more?
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: I'm just asking I feel like if it's the pinnacle, I feel like you should pay to watch it, but I think it should be like four quid for the full weekend.
- 50:03SPEAKER_02: But the fact that it's the same price as the school's finals, so that so you can watch an under 14 boys and girls sides for the same price as watching the top players in the country play, and that doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever from like a from a player's point of view, from a like fans point of view, from like a an actual like price point of view, like it doesn't make any sense to me.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I and then I I I think the problem here is paying to see the 14 versus 15-year-old or whatever it is.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: I think it's really good for the sport that that you should actually start to pay to watch a game.
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: I think it's a hit, maybe not in you, but like Rotterdam is the first club, it's the only club in Holland who asks uh people to pay a ticket to watch the game.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: And I think if you want to grow the game, I think that's fucking great.
- 50:57SPEAKER_00: So you cannot just come like that's the most hockey thing there is, and I like it because this that's also what in Holland, in between, like at halftime, there's like kids running on the field, like the whole pitch is filled with like kids who play hockey.
- 51:10SPEAKER_00: Don't know how that's in England, but that's like the the that's like the identity of hockey that's like really approachable.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: But I think it's really good to like start to ask, like, we're that like in hockey, for example, the Hove klasse, it's like and I think England is also starting to come up a bit.
- 51:24SPEAKER_00: Like, people start to actually know a couple clubs in England, and people are now knowing the three rock rovers is not in England, but like it's really good to like create some like uh because it it it it gets more money in, and like the I think it's a really good thing.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: I like it.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: I think that it's like a big uh big props to Rotterdam.
- 51:43SPEAKER_00: I like that they are asking uh asking people to pay to watch their games.
- 51:47SPEAKER_00: I think it's really good.
- 51:48SPEAKER_00: I think more clubs should follow.
- 51:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, nice.
- 51:50SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's yeah, I don't think it's a negative, I think it's more the fact that you have to pay to watch schools.
- 51:56SPEAKER_02: That wasn't the question as normal.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: I think five quid for the weekend is not bad at all.
- 52:00SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't think it's bad for the weekend.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: You've gone off piste as normal bread.
- 52:03SPEAKER_01: There's nothing to do with club schools.
- 52:06SPEAKER_02: No, I'm just saying, as in, like, I I think it I think it's a hit, but I think it's it's a hit in relation to other things.
- 52:13SPEAKER_01: Okay, nice.
- 52:15SPEAKER_01: Um go on.
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: What you you on the closet now?
- 52:19SPEAKER_02: Have we got you?
- 52:20SPEAKER_02: You're just like uh I haven't gone off piste.
- 52:21SPEAKER_02: I've just explained my point, but you've just decided that it's just irrelevant.
- 52:24SPEAKER_02: This is this is classic you when I make a good point.
- 52:26SPEAKER_02: This is you.
- 52:27SPEAKER_02: This is like the other day last week.
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: This last week episode where you just decided you just had a go at us for no apparent reason.
- 52:34SPEAKER_02: We did nothing wrong.
- 52:35SPEAKER_02: I had a go even for the drunk.
- 52:36SPEAKER_00: I'm just trying to almost got me off.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: I don't like it, Phil.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: I wasn't drunk.
- 52:40SPEAKER_02: You asked me to say more, I said more, and then you had to go at me for saying more.
- 52:43SPEAKER_02: Make your mind up.
- 52:46SPEAKER_00: Whose side are you guys picking?
- 52:48SPEAKER_00: Let us know.
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: At phil.gmo.com or at brendan.gmo.com I don't pick a side.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: Brendan's Brennan's right on his high horse.
- 53:01SPEAKER_01: Do you want me to argue back or should we just move it on?
- 53:03SPEAKER_03: No, I'll move it on.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: Um, compression tights for games.
- 53:08SPEAKER_01: So this is men and women.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: If anyone's wearing like tights for games, even if it's like cold, is that is that a shit or a hit?
- 53:15SPEAKER_00: Is it like the full like all the way yeah yeah yeah, yeah.
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: Not just the shorts, the full length.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: No, the full length one.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: Uh in training, it's a hit.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: I know I just think it's a hit.
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: When it's cold, it's cold.
- 53:32SPEAKER_00: I like it.
- 53:33SPEAKER_02: Nah, matches is shit.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: No, I like it.
- 53:37SPEAKER_00: If it's good, if it's really cold.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: If it's really, really cold, I'll wear it.
- 53:41SPEAKER_02: But you really always wear you are.
- 53:45SPEAKER_02: Have you even got a pair that's long enough and tight enough?
- 53:48SPEAKER_02: Feel legs.
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: They're baggy, they're always baggy.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: Honestly, Brendan, it's the first good joke I've hear you made in three seasons of Let's Stick Together, so well done to you.
- 54:00SPEAKER_02: That's a you I picture you in like basically these baggiest, like tight length things.
- 54:05SPEAKER_02: Like, uh, it's so funny to watch.
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm I like I'm still looking for like a like a like like therm at the I don't know if this is a demo shirts that like fit.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: I haven't I've been to like uh kids shops and stuff, but nothing seems to like uh get it.
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: No, shut up, Brendan.
- 54:25SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 54:27SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm with you here, right?
- 54:28SPEAKER_02: So shit or hit, you know, long sleeve tops that aren't tight, so people wear them underneath.
- 54:34SPEAKER_02: So we had a few guys this week that have been training in hoodies with their t-shirt over the top of the hoodie because it's been cold.
- 54:41SPEAKER_02: So like the long sleeve t-shirts that are loose, yeah, like for me are such a shit.
- 54:46SPEAKER_02: They look so bad, they look budget.
- 54:48SPEAKER_02: I think they're shit.
- 54:49SPEAKER_02: They look the same thing with hoodies underneath with t-shirts over top.
- 54:52SPEAKER_02: I think it just looks budget as fuck.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I I think I think the hoodie under the the game shirt is like incredibly uh a hit because it like shows, like I said last week, it shows our amateurism, and I like it.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: I think the the the the shirts are like a big uh shit for me.
- 55:09SPEAKER_00: But again, the tights I think is it.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: You know what I do hate?
- 55:14SPEAKER_00: And and maybe it will I don't know if if if women will take offense in it, but I don't really give a shit.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: If women wear like the short skirt with like the long uh uh uh like tight under it, leggings, yeah.
- 55:28SPEAKER_00: No, but not the legging, not the one that goes over the knee, but like just the like the upper leg, you know what I mean?
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: Compression shorts, yeah.
- 55:35SPEAKER_00: I think that's like a massive, massive pile of dog shit.
- 55:40SPEAKER_00: And women, I don't know if if any women or female hockey players take offense in it, but I just think that looks so incredibly shit.
- 55:49SPEAKER_00: Like I'd rather tear off my hamstring if I was a woman than to walk around like that.
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: That's my like opinion.
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: I know you actually I actually agree with all of your points apart from the leggings, like the compression leggings are rubbish, they're they're shit.
- 56:05SPEAKER_02: Okay, fine for training, not fine for games, but also like who gets cold knees?
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, if you're wearing compression shorts and you're wearing high socks, like who's really going like, oh, I've got to protect my knees tonight?
- 56:17SPEAKER_01: You know exactly who it is.
- 56:19SPEAKER_01: You're fine.
- 56:21SPEAKER_01: Um, and he's actually on the closet a bit.
- 56:25SPEAKER_01: Brendan made a joke about him.
- 56:26SPEAKER_01: He he was it was unexpected.
- 56:29SPEAKER_00: It just came out of nowhere.
- 56:31SPEAKER_00: It was such a good like it was such a good joke.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: I don't expect that from Brendan.
- 56:35SPEAKER_02: I get hostile when I'm on the closet myself, so I've got to put it onto someone else.
- 56:39SPEAKER_01: And the final shit will hit Neil James uh asking keepers in helmets and players wearing gum shields for team photos.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: Before I answer this question, I have a genuine question.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: Like this guy's name is Neil.
- 56:53SPEAKER_01: Isn't it James Neil?
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: Okay, Neil Neil James.
- 56:56SPEAKER_00: How do you spell his last name?
- 56:59SPEAKER_02: James normally it'd be spelled N-E-I-L if it's actually Neil.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what what what's his last name?
- 57:04SPEAKER_00: Neil.
- 57:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, first name.
- 57:07SPEAKER_01: Look, it's just a guy on Twitter.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: I just take that handle.
- 57:09SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: So his name is Neil.
- 57:11SPEAKER_00: So you spell it K-N.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 57:15SPEAKER_02: That's the word to Neil.
- 57:16SPEAKER_02: K-N-Y-E-L.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: But you say it exactly so so K-N double is is Neil.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: That's Neil.
- 57:27SPEAKER_00: N A I L N E I L is also Neil.
- 57:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that's so again that explains how fucking stupid you are as a country.
- 57:38SPEAKER_01: You said you said quid before, and I was proud of you.
- 57:42SPEAKER_01: You like you said 20 quid, and and I was like, Yeah, you yeah, you're in.
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm really starting to get because a year ago you would have said pounds.
- 57:52SPEAKER_01: Now you're getting all the slang.
- 57:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: All right, let's finish this.
- 57:56SPEAKER_01: Let's finish this one.
- 57:57SPEAKER_01: The keepers in helmets and players wearing gump shields for team photos.
- 58:01SPEAKER_01: So shit.
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think the keepers wearing helmets is actually a hit.
- 58:05SPEAKER_00: I think that's pretty good.
- 58:08SPEAKER_00: Protect us from their faces.
- 58:11SPEAKER_00: No one wants to look at the keepers.
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's a great time to say this.
- 58:17SPEAKER_01: Um Brendan is firmly on the closet.
- 58:22SPEAKER_01: Absolute shambles.
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this is a great time to say it.
- 58:27SPEAKER_00: We're getting rid of Brendan.
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: We're getting rid of Brendan next week's episode for anyone who's interested.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: And we are replacing him with his better half, Maddie Hinch.
- 58:35SPEAKER_01: Now, she is way too big time and important for this podcast, but but you know, with our connections, and that is Yupe's connections to her, um she's we've managed to secure her on the podcast.
- 58:46SPEAKER_01: Brendan has been next to useless in in getting her on.
- 58:49SPEAKER_01: I had to ring her the other day.
- 58:51SPEAKER_02: So um this is unwarranted, but I'll have to just sit here.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I might, because Brendan is taking so long, I might propose to her on the pod.
- 59:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so tell your friends.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: Um, we've got Maddie Hinch on the pod next week.
- 59:05SPEAKER_01: We're officially big time.
- 59:21SPEAKER_01: We're about to end the podcast because my daughter's just come in.
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: And do you want to say hi?
- 59:29SPEAKER_03: Hi, Squidge.
- 59:30SPEAKER_01: And can you say this has been let's stick together?
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: No, you can't do that, can you?
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: Can you say bye bye?
- 59:38SPEAKER_03: Bye bye, okay.
- 59:40SPEAKER_01: And this has been let's stick together, episode eight, I think.
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: I'm distracted.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: That was really good, Indy.
- 59:49SPEAKER_01: Cheers, guys.
- 59:51SPEAKER_01: Amazing.
- 59:52SPEAKER_02: I love you, Indy.
- 59:53SPEAKER_02: What I love is that if people don't see the video, so we don't clip that indie's actually in there, people might think that you've just put on a fake voice saying bye-bye.
