- 1:14Speaker 4: international magazine founded in May of twenty twenty by Queen Angela.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Get featured as.
- 1:25Speaker 1: All Things at What They Used to be?
- 1:30Speaker 5: Where did all the Blue Sky's boot boys bloats from
- 1:37Speaker 5: the North Side of Things.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Wa person.
- 1:46Speaker 5: All Things and what they used to be? No, my
- 2:05Speaker 5: name is Karen Thompson. I'm a staff attorney at the
- 2:08Speaker 5: Edison's Project and I've worked here for three and a
- 2:10Speaker 5: half years. Black History Month matters to me, and it
- 2:15Speaker 5: matters to the work at Nanison's Project because black history
- 2:19Speaker 5: has made up a significant and painful part of our
- 2:24Speaker 5: criminal justice system, and given the history of lynchings and
- 2:31Speaker 5: unfair treatment of black people over the last three centuries,
- 2:38Speaker 5: we have a special need and a special connection to
- 2:42Speaker 5: injustice when it comes to race in the United States.
- 2:45Speaker 5: I particularly kind of moved and pained, even now, undred
- 2:53Speaker 5: years after the fact, by the case of a man
- 2:55Speaker 5: named Claude Neil, who was the last what they called
- 2:59Speaker 5: the spectacle in Florida.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And when people talk.
- 3:03Speaker 5: About respective lynchings, it is the killing of a black
- 3:08Speaker 5: person who is usually wrongfully accused or not even given
- 3:12Speaker 5: the chance to have do process of law by a
- 3:16Speaker 5: mob of white people. And in that killing there was
- 3:21Speaker 5: an unbelievable, almost unspeakable brutality that was done to this person.
- 3:28Speaker 5: And so Claude Neil was accused of breaking and murdering
- 3:31Speaker 5: a white teenager in Florida in nineteen thirty four. At
- 3:37Speaker 5: level of brutality and our silence around it as a.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Country, and our silence around the trauma that.
- 3:45Speaker 5: It caused communities of color inspire me to do this
- 3:49Speaker 5: work every day. And although we aren't lunching people in
- 3:55Speaker 5: the public courtrooms, and although we're not dragging people from
- 3:58Speaker 5: their homes and doing the things that I just described,
- 4:02Speaker 5: there are ways that we are allowing our system to
- 4:05Speaker 5: fail people based on race. And so part of my
- 4:09Speaker 5: work here is to try to address some remedy those wrongdoings.
- 4:26Speaker 4: The murder gate to the bud except he was in
- 4:28Speaker 4: the building away, he ran from the murderc didn't have
- 4:30Speaker 4: guns on his hands, no fingerprints, there is no mode
- 4:35Speaker 4: on the murder scene. It was found in a in
- 4:37Speaker 4: a small fenced area that was connected with an apartment complex.
- 4:40Speaker 2: When we had the detective on the stand, Detective all
- 4:43Speaker 2: Bark found about friends with basifically brief black bookcase and
- 4:49Speaker 2: he said that's the description of them. Then asked about
- 4:51Speaker 2: gun pods gate was known the character there's no gunpowd.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Opportunity and also hours clean described.
- 4:59Speaker 2: By the nothing his hand was it in the bar,
- 5:01Speaker 2: nothing on its.
- 5:01Speaker 6: Clothes, change the case. My finger rested because there's no power,
- 5:06Speaker 6: I said. So in general, there's no friend.
- 5:34Speaker 1: H Hey, hey, hey, hey, y'all. Hey, y'all, Hey, y'all,

- 10:58Speaker 1: Don't sit down on what God's done you. If you
- 11:00Speaker 1: woke you up this morning, he done something for you,
- 11:03Speaker 1: So y'all share it with the world. Use this opportunity
- 11:07Speaker 1: to amplify your voice and allow your voice to be heard.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I know some of you guys think that you know,
- 11:12Speaker 1: maybe I'm not doing anything or nobody wants to hear.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You never know what the next person may be in
- 11:17Speaker 1: need of and what may help the next person come
- 11:20Speaker 1: out of what they may be going through. I'm telling you,
- 11:23Speaker 1: it's just having a conversation, just allowing those words to speak.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So y'all utilize those gifts, Utilize those talents, don't sit
- 11:33Speaker 1: down on them. When you're giving opportunities to be on
- 11:37Speaker 1: podcasts as guests, y'all take these opportunities. When you're given
- 11:41Speaker 1: the opportunity to be featured in magazines, be featured in
- 11:44Speaker 1: the magazines.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Y'all.
- 11:46Speaker 1: You are your future, You are your legacy. You are
- 11:51Speaker 1: you have the power to control all of that. You
- 11:54Speaker 1: can dictate what is left, what is said, and what
- 11:58Speaker 1: you leave behind. You have power of life and death
- 12:02Speaker 1: in your hand and in your tongue. So y'all utilize
- 12:06Speaker 1: your gifts and talents. If he's told you to write
- 12:09Speaker 1: in a book, sharing a book, if he told you
- 12:12Speaker 1: to put your book out, put your book out. If
- 12:14Speaker 1: you need coaching me personally, I am a self publishing coach.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I will help coach you through that process. We have
- 12:21Speaker 1: Trevida over here on the network. She does an amazing
- 12:24Speaker 1: job doing the same thing. And you have some more
- 12:27Speaker 1: amazing individuals that will guide you along the way if
- 12:31Speaker 1: you want to do it yourself, y'all. I have an
- 12:33Speaker 1: amazing book that is available on Walmart dot com. You
- 12:38Speaker 1: can go over to Walmart dot com. You can download,
- 12:41Speaker 1: you can purchase a printed copy of ninety Days to
- 12:46Speaker 1: Self Publishing with the Queen walk you through different steps.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You can take notes, you can do all kinds of stuff,
- 12:52Speaker 1: teach you the different little stuff, how to research different things. Y'all.
- 12:55Speaker 1: There's no reason why we should be sitting down on
- 12:58Speaker 1: these gifts. God us outlets. He's given us resources. He's
- 13:03Speaker 1: attached us to people and things that can allow us
- 13:06Speaker 1: to utilize these gifts and talents, utilize our wards and
- 13:10Speaker 1: take these things to the next level. So, if you
- 13:14Speaker 1: are going through some things and things may not be
- 13:16Speaker 1: going away that you want them to go right now. Please,
- 13:20Speaker 1: whatever you do, don't quit, don't give up, don't throw
- 13:23Speaker 1: in the towel, because if he brought you through it,
- 13:26Speaker 1: he's gonna see you through it. Y'all. I know a
- 13:29Speaker 1: lot of us have been dealing with a lot of
- 13:31Speaker 1: different things. That's what some of us we look like.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We don't go through nothing. We look like we're not
- 13:37Speaker 1: going through nothing, but we going through just as everybody else.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Everybody's going through something at some point in time. We
- 13:44Speaker 1: may not just display it on us all the time.
- 13:48Speaker 1: But trust me, we all deal with certain things. But
- 13:53Speaker 1: we got to learn how to not let those things
- 13:56Speaker 1: take us out of the course that God has us,
- 14:01Speaker 1: because that is the job of the enemy. And when
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know that you can identify, you can work through it,
- 14:07Speaker 1: you can process it, you can do the things that
- 14:09Speaker 1: you knew. See, I was able to identify some things
- 14:12Speaker 1: in my life. So now people say, how do you
- 14:15Speaker 1: keep going? How do you keep going? How do you
- 14:16Speaker 1: keep personal? I refuse to give up. I refuse to
- 14:20Speaker 1: allow distractions to keep me from that that I know
- 14:23Speaker 1: that I'm supposed to be walking into. How can I
- 14:25Speaker 1: be a Mellionaire if I'm not doing me and there things,
- 14:28Speaker 1: if I'm not doing that thing to catch me and
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm going to be a meaniaire. So I got to
- 14:33Speaker 1: work in so catch up to that being a status
- 14:37Speaker 1: aligned for me already, and you got to do the
- 14:39Speaker 1: same thing. But you got We can't just sit here
- 14:43Speaker 1: and think that something is magically going to appear from
- 14:46Speaker 1: the sky. It's not going to happen. You got to
- 14:49Speaker 1: put the work in. Say faith with our works is dead.
- 14:52Speaker 1: And that's a lot of us. We're waiting for a
- 14:55Speaker 1: white horse to come down out the sky. It's not coming.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We wait for somebody to come say us, they're not
- 15:00Speaker 1: coming to save your baby. If you want to be saved,
- 15:03Speaker 1: you got to save yourself and how to do that.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Get up and do something with yourself. Get up and
- 15:08Speaker 1: do something with your life. You got gifts and talents.
- 15:10Speaker 1: He's in a lot of us. Some of us are
- 15:14Speaker 1: talented out of this world. Some of us artists. We
- 15:18Speaker 1: can draw, we can paint, we know how to do poetry,
- 15:21Speaker 1: we know how. We should be holding events out of
- 15:24Speaker 1: this world. We should be attending events and being a
- 15:27Speaker 1: part of other people. If we can't host our own events,
- 15:30Speaker 1: we should be intended and allowing people to see the
- 15:33Speaker 1: things that we do. But we allow circumstances to keep
- 15:37Speaker 1: us in bondage. Stop making excuses, my big brother, Oh,
- 15:41Speaker 1: say excuses or other incompetent. If you're not incompetent, you
- 15:45Speaker 1: shouldn't be making excuses. If you're if you're in your
- 15:48Speaker 1: right state of mind, then you should be able to
- 15:50Speaker 1: work through whatever it is that's going on. If you
- 15:54Speaker 1: can't do something, be man or woman enough to say, oh,
- 15:58Speaker 1: I can't do that, I may need some extra help,
- 16:00Speaker 1: or I may need some extra time. And stop committing
- 16:03Speaker 1: to stuff that you know you can't do. See a
- 16:08Speaker 1: lot of us we are living in egos and we
- 16:13Speaker 1: can't move past egos. But we got to stop living egos.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Because some of you guys are talented. Some of you
- 16:23Speaker 1: guys are talented, above, above and beyond what you believe
- 16:27Speaker 1: in yourself. But if you can't believe it for yourself,
- 16:32Speaker 1: then nobody else can believe it for you. Because my belief,
- 16:36Speaker 1: me believing that you're talent, me believing that you're gifted,
- 16:39Speaker 1: is doing nothing because if you don't believe it, it's
- 16:43Speaker 1: not gonna manifest. See. Some of us don't even realize
- 16:47Speaker 1: the power that we possess because we speak things over
- 16:52Speaker 1: our life, and then those things that we speak on
- 16:54Speaker 1: our life happens, and then we wonder why we're going
- 16:57Speaker 1: through because you spoke it. Stop opening your mouth and
- 17:01Speaker 1: your mind to neglativity, because it sets in your heart
- 17:05Speaker 1: and it's there. But some of us we open ourselves
- 17:10Speaker 1: up for anything, and we accept anything, and then we
- 17:13Speaker 1: think it's it, and then we put on these pity
- 17:17Speaker 1: parties and we have these loves. Move past it, Move
- 17:24Speaker 1: past it. But y'all, I'm out of here. I said
- 17:28Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna be on here long, and there I was.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I tell you, I hope somebody got something on today.
- 17:35Speaker 1: If you are out there and you are hearing this,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and there's something that you know that you should be
- 17:41Speaker 1: sharing with the world. If you have a testimony, if
- 17:43Speaker 1: God has done something for you, if he delivered you
- 17:46Speaker 1: from something, if he set you free, if he healed
- 17:49Speaker 1: your body, you should be sharing that with the world.
- 17:52Speaker 1: If the word say we overcome by hearing and sharing
- 17:54Speaker 1: of our testimonies. I need ninety more people to join me.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Only thirteen dollars and thirty three. Many of you guys
- 18:01Speaker 1: wasted on a daily basis, but won't sew it into
- 18:05Speaker 1: yourself so that you can help somebody else. I want
- 18:08Speaker 1: to challenge you on today sew that thirteen thirty three
- 18:12Speaker 1: into good grounds. We have hit number one best selling
- 18:15Speaker 1: authors in both books, book number one and book number two,
- 18:20Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty one Days of Prayer based on
- 18:22Speaker 1: songs one twenty one he say look to the heels
- 18:25Speaker 1: from which mine help come. Share your testimony. You have
- 18:30Speaker 1: simply submitted a scripture. You can do it testimony, a
- 18:35Speaker 1: lesson if you want to just just talk, just share
- 18:37Speaker 1: a lesson, something that can encourage somebody else. Share that,
- 18:42Speaker 1: a press starter or an affirmation statement, y'all list a
- 18:46Speaker 1: one page devotional. You get to share your bio and
- 18:51Speaker 1: a picture of yourself and it's only thirteen dollars and
- 18:55Speaker 1: thirty three cents. An opportunity for you to share with
- 18:59Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty other believers like yourself. I'm telling
- 19:04Speaker 1: you somebody out there is waiting to hear from you.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Don't sit down on what God has done for you.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Share it with the world. And this is a great opportunity.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Not only that you will be a published author, you
- 19:20Speaker 1: will have the same rights that I have to this book.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You will be able to purchase this book at wholesale
- 19:26Speaker 1: price at author's price, and then you'll be able to
- 19:29Speaker 1: sell it resell it for a profit. Whatever Amazon is
- 19:33Speaker 1: selling it for, you'll be able to sell it for
- 19:35Speaker 1: that same price and the difference, you'll be able to
- 19:38Speaker 1: make a profit. I don't profit out of you. The
- 19:41Speaker 1: only thing I may it's the little royalties that come
- 19:44Speaker 1: in off of the e book, because I oh, I
- 19:47Speaker 1: can't split the penance with everybody because it's gonna be
- 19:50Speaker 1: one hundred and twenty one of us. Cannot split those
- 19:53Speaker 1: penance with everybody because it's definitely pennies on the dollar.
- 19:56Speaker 1: If you are an author, you already know e books
- 19:59Speaker 1: don't pay that much, but you get an opportunity to
- 20:02Speaker 1: make money on the paperback book. Y'all know, the last
- 20:06Speaker 1: paperback book sold for twenty dollars, twenty and twenty five dollars,
- 20:12Speaker 1: and I think we were able to purchase them for
- 20:16Speaker 1: ten dollars. I think they were ten dollars, So you
- 20:20Speaker 1: made ten dollars a thirteen dollars, anywhere from ten to
- 20:23Speaker 1: thirteen dollars profit. Of course, you got to figure in
- 20:26Speaker 1: the tax and the shipping, because you are responsible for
- 20:29Speaker 1: the tax and the shipping. But it's an opportunity for
- 20:31Speaker 1: your work to get out there, and it's an opportunity
- 20:34Speaker 1: for you to make some coins. So if you're looking
- 20:38Speaker 1: to expand your brand, get connected with the Queen and
- 20:42Speaker 1: get seen in her. If you're looking for opportunity to
- 20:45Speaker 1: be featured in the magazine, to be on podcasts, remember
- 20:48Speaker 1: we have the Crew podcast Network right here. And I
- 20:51Speaker 1: also remember I am on the wbn N every four
- 20:56Speaker 1: weeks on Wednesday at nine thirty pm. Always looking for
- 20:59Speaker 1: hosts over there. I mean I always looking for guests
- 21:02Speaker 1: to be my co host over there. Usually I have
- 21:05Speaker 1: three up to three three guests per show. And like
- 21:11Speaker 1: I say, I have what September, October, November and December.
