- 0:13Hello you guys, and welcome back to another episode of the hawk Grel Energy
- 0:17Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is your weekly reminder that
- 0:20it's a new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another
- 0:24day for you to become the hawk Gral energy you want to attract. Hello
- 0:27you guys, Happy Wednesday, because I know this is going to be up
- 0:31a day later, and don't hate me for doing this. I'm trying so
- 0:35hard to get it up on Tuesdays, but it just takes me such a
- 0:39long time to edit these podcast episodes. And you guys know I'm doing blog
- 0:44miss, so honestly, work has just been extremely busy. And then on
- 0:47top of log Miss, I'm doing like work content in terms of like ads
- 0:52that I have to film and submit in advance. Blah blah blah. It
- 0:55is what it is. So I'm trying. My heart is I just right
- 0:58now. The goal for me is to lease have an episode up a week,
- 1:00just like try and get an episode up, so that's what's most important
- 1:03to me. So hopefully you guys are okay with that as long as I
- 1:07get something up during the week that makes me happy. But as you guys
- 1:11can see, in the episode title, we are going to slowly talk about
- 1:15how we're going to be becoming our best selves for twenty twenty four. Obviously,
- 1:19going into the new year, everybody always feels so motivated to become their
- 1:23best self, and this year we're actually going to try and stick to those
- 1:27goals throughout the entire year. How are we going to make it extremely realistic
- 1:30for us to stick to those goals throughout the entire year of twenty twenty four.
- 1:34I feel like there's definitely things that you know, I commit to in
- 1:38the beginning of the year, and you know, sometimes things kind of fall
- 1:42off and then I try and get back into it at the end of the
- 1:45year. It's just kind of like the reality. I feel like people can
- 1:48say, yeah, I'm going to do this for the entire year. I
- 1:51know, I'm going to stay committed whatever. Everyone's gonna have times where they're
- 1:53going to fall off track, and that's totally okay. That is totally normal.
- 1:57There's things that honestly, I really wanted to accomplish for myself for this
- 2:01year. There's some things that I do to this day, and there's some
- 2:05things that honestly I kind of fell off the track, and you know,
- 2:07my goal for twenty twenty four is to try and stay committed to that this
- 2:12year and try and get back on track for that. So yeah, this
- 2:15is kind of like a little sneak peek of some things that you could start
- 2:17doing now or just start prepping for the new year. I will probably have
- 2:22one more episode going up before the new year. There will be no episode
- 2:27on I think it's December twenty six because that is Boxing Day, and I'm
- 2:31personally going to be taking that entire week off for myself mentally, just to
- 2:36have a nice little break with Zach. Zach has the entire week off as
- 2:39well. I will still be on social media. I'm not going to take
- 2:42a break from filming content, but just from the podcast. I'm just going
- 2:45to try and eliminate certain tasks from my day to day job. That way
- 2:50I can actually enjoy the week off going into the new year. And then
- 2:53there will be more episodes up related to the new year and just becoming our
- 2:57best self. So these are going to be some things you can do to
- 3:00prep for the new year. Hint, hint, vision boards, just manifesting
- 3:05our dream life. You guys know, we're all about manifesting. Anyways,
- 3:08we're going to talk about that in today's episode, but before we get into
- 3:12it, I have two things that I want to talk about. One,
- 3:15I have everybody messaging me on Instagram saying, let's talk about New York City
- 3:20and me finding my wedding dress, so I want to chat about that quickly.
- 3:23And then two, I want to talk about the giveaway winner that has
- 3:25won the one hundred dollars Amazon gift card. If you guys listened to the
- 3:30last episode, you guys know that there was a giveaway. If you didn't
- 3:32hear the episode, that is okay, because I'm going to be giving more
- 3:36giveaway information for today's episode that I will be giving away next week, so
- 3:39there'll be another giveaway winner for this week. So thank you guys for all
- 3:44posting your stories. There was so many entries it literally blew my mind.
- 3:49I couldn't post them all my story just because it was getting so overwhelming.
- 3:52So I decided to start messaging you guys back just so that I had everything
- 3:55banked and I saw all of your stories to make sure that I could populated
- 4:00into the website that I'm using just to announce the giveaway. So Basically,
- 4:03it takes all of your user names and it just randomly selects one and then
- 4:08yeah, that's how we announced the winner. So before we get into the
- 4:11giveaway winner, let's talk about New York City. If you guys didn't see,
- 4:14I did vlog miss on this, but basically I flew to New York
- 4:16City strictly just for the day. We weren't staying for the weekend. We
- 4:19literally flew that morning and flew home the same day. From Ottawa to New
- 4:24York, it's only an hour flight. It's a super quick trip, and
- 4:28honestly the flights aren't that expensive either, which is kind of nice. So
- 4:30I thought, you know what, let's just go for the day. I
- 4:32was already in New York City a month ago, as you guys know,
- 4:35with my mom and my sister trying on wedding dresses. And there was this
- 4:39one dress that I fell in love with and what threw me off and the
- 4:43reason why I didn't say yes the first time. It was the last appointment
- 4:46of my entire trip. So it was at like four pm on the last
- 4:49day of our trip. It was the last dress I tried on, and
- 4:55it was a dress that I picked, not thinking I would love it,
- 4:59like it totally threw me off. It was a style I wasn't picturing I
- 5:01was in. It was just like it was the vision that I created for
- 5:05myself that I wanted, but it wasn't the fit I thought I was gonna
- 5:10pick. I don't want to give any more details away about the dress just
- 5:14because I don't want to give it away, because I could really describe it
- 5:15pretty well on the podcast. It is very not like it's unique, but
- 5:21I feel like it's a wow and it's like a dream come true knowing that
- 5:26this is my dress. But it was just something I didn't fully picture me
- 5:30in, and so it totally threw me off that day. And like,
- 5:33we went out for dinner that night when I was in New York with my
- 5:36mom and my sister a few weeks ago, and we couldn't stop talking about
- 5:40that dress and we were like, okay, we wish we did this though
- 5:43okay, we were half asleep, like my mom. Like my mom loved
- 5:46it, but you know when you expect your mom to cry or be like,
- 5:49oh my god, this is the one whatever in that moment, because
- 5:51we were so exhausted and so tired, like we none of us can make
- 5:57the decision right there. We were like, Okay, we want to say
- 6:00us to this, but we're not sure, Like we were just all totally
- 6:02thrown off and just we're not expecting to fall in love with this specific dress.
- 6:08So when we went back home, I was two days at home thinking
- 6:12I was going to say yus to this dress. And then I was like,
- 6:14you know what, I need to try the dress on one more time.
- 6:16And you know what, I've talked to a lot of other brides who
- 6:18are already married at this point, but they said, there's nothing wrong with
- 6:23trying on your dress one more time, just to be sure. You are
- 6:26spending so much money on a wedding dress, like it is what it is,
- 6:29it's the reality. And so I wanted to be one hundred percent sure
- 6:33after putting so much money down on this dress, I was like, I
- 6:35need to be sure that this is the one. I don't want to waste
- 6:39my money. I don't want to, you know, look at other gowns
- 6:41and then be like, oh my god, like I made the wrong decision,
- 6:44blah blah blah. And I know there is a thing where brides say
- 6:47that, you know, sometimes you may have regrets on your dress, but
- 6:51then when you wear at the day of like you're like, no, this
- 6:54was the one, Like you kind of remember the feeling that you had when
- 6:57you first initially tried it on. So trying to avoid looking at other wedding
- 7:01dresses like on Instagram and all that, so I don't get that feeling.
- 7:04That's what I was told. But my friends who have already been married,
- 7:08they're like, don't look at other wedding dresses or else you'll be, you
- 7:11know, all in your head about it. And you also have to understand
- 7:14that you need to get your dress at least seven months prior to your wedding,
- 7:17like that's non negotiable. Like I was at the cusp of ordering my
- 7:20dress. They were saying that if I ordered it anytime in the New Year,
- 7:25I would have had to pay a rushing fee, which is typically like
- 7:29fifteen hundred to two thousand USD on top of the dresser you're already paying,
- 7:31which is a lot, especially for me with the Canadian conversion. Definitely not
- 7:35something I want to add on to the dress. So you do have to
- 7:39order your dress pretty far in advance. So when you see the newer styles
- 7:44for like Spring or anything like that. Like obviously it's newer and style change
- 7:48and all that, right, So no matter what, even if I did
- 7:51love something in the Spring twenty twenty three collection, I would have had to
- 7:55pay a rushing fee or there is the risk that they may say, yeah,
- 7:59no, we can't even make the dress that fast in time for your
- 8:01wedding. So no matter what, I had to make a decision, and
- 8:03I think I really did make the right decision. I am so beyond obsessed
- 8:09with the dress. Trying it on for the second time honestly made me fall
- 8:11in love with it again, like just ten times more. All in all,
- 8:16it was definitely worth flying back to just get that whole experience, and
- 8:20also being able to say yes to the dress at Kleinfeld was kind of cool.
- 8:24I've had a few messages saying like are you going to be on the
- 8:26show? Are you not? And the way it works out with Kleinfeld is
- 8:31that you actually have to submit an application to go on the show. Like
- 8:35they don't just pick you randomly in the store to film you. That's not
- 8:37how it works obviously, Like when you see the show, there's dramatic stories
- 8:41about you know, random stuff just the TLC stuff, you guys know,
- 8:46but usually there's a huge storyline behind the characters and all that, so they
- 8:50usually only pick certain people and then they have days where they specifically air the
- 8:56show. I was asking all the questions just because I grew up watching Say
- 9:00Yes to the Dress. I wanted to know, like, how do you
- 9:01know who to pick? Blah blah blah. And the girl that was helping
- 9:05me is actually on the show. She's been on the show for the past
- 9:07five seasons now. Her name's Brandy. She was amazing, But anyway,
- 9:11she was just giving me a low down on how it all works. And
- 9:13I guess they're airing days are on Thursdays, So every Thursday they basically close
- 9:20the store down and they only have the guests come that are going to be
- 9:22filmed for the TV show. And they also only film during certain months,
- 9:28so it'd be like, Okay, January would be the next season, and
- 9:31they'll film a bunch of different people in January, and then you know,
- 9:35the spring season might be in April. Like that's kind of how it breaks
- 9:37up. It's not every single Thursday they do filming, It's like every few
- 9:41months. But Brandy did ask me if I wanted to be on the show.
- 9:46They were literally going to refilm like the whole thing. They were going
- 9:50to say, Okay, we're just going to pretend that you haven't found the
- 9:54dress yet, and that I was gonna have to pretend to search through other
- 9:56dresses, and then they were gonna make me obviously try on the dress that
- 10:01I purchased and go through that whole experience for the television show. And I
- 10:05honestly said, no, I know that sounds kind of funny, but I
- 10:07don't know. I was like, I don't know if I want to be
- 10:09on TV. And I also didn't want to go through that whole experience again.
- 10:13And I would have had to fly back to New York City line it
- 10:16up on a Thursday. And anyways, I have a bunch of travels in
- 10:20the new year, obviously with the wedding, and I have to go back
- 10:22to Italy to go do a food tasting with my mom and make up trial,
- 10:26hair trial and the Bachorette and like, there's so much travel going on
- 10:31in the new year, which I'm so grateful for and I'm so excited about.
- 10:33But I just didn't think I was going to have the time to go
- 10:35back to New York and film a whole TLC thing, and blah blah blah,
- 10:39Like it just was going to be too much thrown on my plate,
- 10:43and I feel like right now I just need to focus on all those other
- 10:46travels besides that. But I did feel very honored to be asked to be
- 10:50on the show. That was a pretty cool experience from someone who literally grew
- 10:54up watching the show. But yeah, so highly highly recommend checking out Kleinfeld
- 10:58whenever you do start to look for a wedding dress and all that just all
- 11:01in all, very very good customer service there. But let's get into the
- 11:07giveaway. Not going to give any more information out about the wedding dress obviously,
- 11:11for obvious reasons. I want to keep it a secret for you guys.
- 11:13You guys won't see it obviously till August. But yeah, I'm so
- 11:18excited. But anyways, let's get into our giveaway winner. I'm just pulling
- 11:20out my phone right now, so if my mouth is away from the mic
- 11:24and it sounds quieter, that's why. So I just pulled up this website
- 11:28that populates all the user names and then randomly selects one of the users to
- 11:35win. The giveaways. So for the winner, I'm going to announce it
- 11:37here on the podcast, but I'm also going to message you directly to make
- 11:41sure that I pick the exact person because right now, the girl that I've
- 11:46picked, it's a one name user name, like I don't have her last
- 11:50name, so I just don't want someone to get confused if it's their name.
- 11:52But I'm going to message you directly that way you know it's you not
- 11:58someone else, if that makes sense. So, Rebecca, you are the
- 12:01winner of our one hundred dollars Amazon gift card. It looks like she's also
- 12:05the host to a podcast, better than Good podcast. That's amazing, so
- 12:09happy to hear that you have a podcast as well. So I'm going to
- 12:13send you a message. I'm going to give you all the information for the
- 12:16gift card that way you have it. But congratulations Rebecca on winning the one
- 12:20hundred dollars Amazon gift card. The next giveaway is going to be an e
- 12:22gift card, meaning that you can only use the gift card online, so
- 12:26you can't use it in store, just so we can make sure that everybody
- 12:30in the world can use it. It is a Sephora gift card. So
- 12:33an online to for a gift card. It's again one hundred dollars to enter.
- 12:37It's the same thing as last time. I'm going to put everything in
- 12:39the podcast description, but you have to tag at the Hawkerel Energy Podcast as
- 12:45well as Kayleie Stewart, which is me the host. Kaylee. You need
- 12:48to follow us both on Instagram as well as post a story of you listening
- 12:52to the podcast episode. So if you entered the last giveaway, you can
- 12:54enter this one again and make sure just to do the exact same thing.
- 12:58Everybody did such a great job. It's the last giveaway and thank you guys
- 13:01all for entering it. I truly, truly, truly appreciate all your support.
- 13:05So once again it's the exact same rules. I'm going to put it
- 13:09in the podcast description that way everybody can see the rules there as well.
- 13:13But pretty simple, pretty easy. Just follow me at the Hawkral Energy Podcast
- 13:16Instagram as well as post the story and take us both that way I can
- 13:20see it. I will make sure to add it to the story or message
- 13:24you back just to make sure you have entered into the giveaway. But yeah,
- 13:26that is all the giveaway information for the second part of the giveaway.
- 13:31All right, so let's start talking about how we're going to have the perfect
- 13:35start to twenty twenty four, almost like a little starting pack. Now,
- 13:39these are some things that I talked about last year. I want to go
- 13:41over this again because I feel like this was super helpful for myself and I
- 13:48want to bring that back into this year. Just steps you can do to
- 13:52start your year off, right, So, what are some things that we
- 13:54need to do now in order to have everything complete and ready for twenty two
- 14:00twenty four. One thing that we're going to be talking more about in the
- 14:03next episode is vision boards. I'm going to obviously mention it here, but
- 14:05I want to go more into depth the following episode on how to make the
- 14:11perfect vision board. And I feel like next week is going to be the
- 14:13perfect week to actually start getting that done. I have not started my vision
- 14:16board yet, but I hope to start it next week. So we're going
- 14:20to chat about that more that episode and just talk about how we're going to
- 14:24create our vision board and create our dream life for twenty twenty four. Okay,
- 14:28so the first step you're going to do is you're going to review your
- 14:33year of twenty twenty three. How did your year turn out? Was it
- 14:35everything that you expected? What were things that you did that you were super
- 14:41proud of yourself that you did? What were some things that you want to
- 14:43improve on, things that you want to work on for twenty twenty four.
- 14:46So this is the perfect opportunity to get like a notebook or a piece of
- 14:50paper and just write down five things that you did this year that you're super
- 14:52proud of, things that you accomplished, that you really wanted to do for
- 14:56yourself for this year. And then you're going to write down five things that
- 15:00you didn't like. So what were things that you wish you could have been
- 15:01better at that you hope to be better at for twenty twenty four. So
- 15:05I'm going to give you guys an example of things that I wrote down.
- 15:09I don't think I have five, to be honest, I think and we
- 15:11wrote down three for each of them. So if you only have three things,
- 15:13you can just rate three. I probably have more, to be honest,
- 15:16I just can't think of them in this exact moment. But things that
- 15:20I loved about this year was taking my relationship with Zach to the next level.
- 15:24We obviously got engaged, we had our engagement party, and we just
- 15:28had so many amazing memories this year that I will never forget. What a
- 15:33great way to start twenty twenty three being engaged on our ten year anniversary.
- 15:39Still thinking about that moment when he proposed to me is still so special and
- 15:43it just gives me butterflies every time I think about it, and I hope
- 15:46ten years from now I feel the exact same way, knowing that you know,
- 15:50we have taken a relationship to the next step, we are saying forever,
- 15:54we are getting married. Just what a great way to start twenty twenty
- 15:58three. Literally the perfect scenario of what I wanted for this year. Not
- 16:04gonna lie. There was an engagement ring on my vision board. That was
- 16:07something that I was really hoping for this year. Didn't know when it was
- 16:11going to happen. So happy that I got engaged the start of the new
- 16:15year, just to you know, make our ten year anniversary so much more
- 16:18special by obviously getting an engagement ring. So yeah, I fully put that
- 16:23on my vision board and that came true, So that was kind of nice.
- 16:26Another thing that I was super proud of this year was trying new workout
- 16:30classes. I feel like last year I was very homebodied, like I did
- 16:36want to leave the house. I really enjoyed my at home workouts, and
- 16:37don't get me wrong, I still like that at home workouts, but I
- 16:41have realized that because I work from home, I truly do love getting out
- 16:45of the house and getting a good sweat I feel more productive when I leave
- 16:49the house, and when I come back, I feel more refreshed and I
- 16:52feel ready to take on the day. So I think one thing that I
- 16:56want to also take into twenty twenty four is continue to try new workout classes.
- 17:02You know, try out a hot yoga class, try out a pilates
- 17:04class, like keep trying different things because I feel like doing those little workout
- 17:10classes and getting out of the house makes me feel good knowing that again,
- 17:14I don't have a job to go to, so being able to get out
- 17:17of the house and get a good sweat out is the perfect situation in my
- 17:21opinion. Every time I book a spin Co class, which is usually twice
- 17:25a week, those two days of my week are probably the two days that
- 17:27I look forward to most, just because I truly just enjoy my days more
- 17:32like I like waking up early, I like getting a good sweat in and
- 17:36yeah, I'm very proud of myself for booking that spin Co class back in
- 17:38February and now I've made it a consistent routine into my weekly schedule. I
- 17:44work out twice a week with spin Co. I love getting a good cardio
- 17:48sweat and I hope to include a new workout. Maybe it is hot yoga
- 17:52and I do that twice a week. I have been recently including hot yoga
- 17:55once a week. I love it. I truly feel like it is such
- 18:00a great workout. So maybe that will be my second workout that I do
- 18:04throughout my weekly schedule in the new year. I still haven't figured out if
- 18:07that's going to be for sure the other workout, or maybe it's going to
- 18:11be a pilates class. I'm not sure yet, but there definitely is another
- 18:15class that I want to take on twice a week and then spending twice a
- 18:19week. Another thing that I was super proud of accomplishing for twenty twenty three
- 18:25is just my career wise in terms of the growth of the podcast, the
- 18:30growth of my social media platforms, and just like still being able to call
- 18:36this my full time job is just such a pinch me. Moment and I'm
- 18:38always so grateful to be able to call this my job. And one thing
- 18:44that I want to point out about the podcast is I did not realize how
- 18:49many of you just listen to my podcast in general. That was the most
- 18:55shocking thing for me to see on my Spotify wrapped is just how successful the
- 18:59podcast was this year. To put it in perspective, I was in the
- 19:03top ten for podcasts for one hundred and thirty thousand fans. I was the
- 19:07top ten podcast for one hundred and thirty thousand people. That is mind blowing
- 19:14to me, mind blowing to me. And we peaked in fifteen countries at
- 19:19number three, fifteen countries at number three, like what like? Being charted
- 19:26at number three in fifteen different countries is mind blowing to me. So thank
- 19:32you guys so much. Literally, you guys know how great bul ad for
- 19:34you all. So I'm not even going to go into deeper dive about that,
- 19:37but that is what I'm so proud of is being able to grow the
- 19:41podcast, grow the podcast family, Being able to have such amazing supporters like
- 19:45you guys, and be able to do this as my full time thing is
- 19:48beyond amazing. And you know, seeing your messages about how you guys messaged
- 19:53me saying how I've helped you become, you know, the healthier version of
- 19:56yourself or the better version of yourself by listening to my podcast and listening to
- 20:00my tips and all. That makes me so happy and it literally makes me
- 20:06feel so good to know that I'm making a difference and my job is helping
- 20:11others out, and yeah, I feel like that's something to really be proud
- 20:15of, and it makes me feel very well accomplished, and it makes me
- 20:18feel like I'm doing a good job at my job. Like I feel like
- 20:19I am doing good and that's what's important to me and that's what makes me
- 20:23feel good. So yeah, that's definitely one of the other things that I'm
- 20:27very very proud of myself for doing this year. And then another thing that
- 20:32I really loved about twenty twenty three is just how much Zach and I traveled
- 20:37and just created so many memories together. I think that was one huge highlight
- 20:41for me, being able to look back on all the trips that I went
- 20:44on this year, you know, going to visit Tren in Vancouver, going
- 20:47to Coachella with Trend and Land, and then going to Italy trying to find
- 20:52our wedding venue, and then going to Mexico where Zach proposed to me.
- 20:55I just feel like I had so many spontaneous and fun trips planned this year,
- 20:59and it just makes me realize how much I enjoy traveling and how much
- 21:03I cherish memories like that. If I could travel every month of the year,
- 21:07I would. I think that would be amazing. But I know for
- 21:11sure this coming year there's definitely going to be more travels involved. And if
- 21:15there is one thing that I could recommend to spend your money towards is traveling,
- 21:21Like save your money and travel. You have no idea how many memories
- 21:26you're going to make just from going on that trip with your friends, or
- 21:30going on that trip with your boyfriend or your family. Just getting out of
- 21:33the country is the best feeling ever. And just being in a new city
- 21:38and being in a new place, it just there's just this feeling that you
- 21:42just can't describe, especially being in Europe. Whenever I go to Europe,
- 21:45it's such a culture shock to me. Comparing it to Canada, It's just
- 21:49totally different worlds. I love the rush that I feel when I'm in Europe.
- 21:53I love just feeling like so new in a new place, if that
- 21:59makes sense, and just feeling so much freedom, like just being able to
- 22:00do whatever we want, have the best time. Yeah, Europe will always
- 22:04have such a close place in my heart. I literally loved every place that
- 22:08I've been to in Europe. I've been to Paris, I've been to Prague,
- 22:11I've been to Croatia, I've been to Berlin. I've been to literally
- 22:15so many places in Europe Italy. Like I could name a bunch of other
- 22:18ones, I can't think of them all right now. So if there's one
- 22:22thing that I could recommend to put your money towards, it's traveling. Just
- 22:26travel to the places that you've always dreamed of going to, Like, don't
- 22:30waste your money on stupid shit. Like I'm gonna be totally honest, Like,
- 22:34just try and save and try and put it towards travel. Things that
- 22:40I didn't like about twenty twenty three that I hope to do better for twenty
- 22:44twenty four, one of them being wellness checkups. I sucked at booking doctor's
- 22:48appointments, at booking dentist appointments, just I didn't do good. I told
- 22:52myself. I was gonna be better at that, and I didn't just gonna
- 22:56be fully transparent, not gonna lie. I actually went to a dent disappointment
- 23:00last week. I never vlogged it, just because I didn't think it was
- 23:03necessary to blog and not gonna lie. I was very shocked to hear that
- 23:06my teeth were perfect, not one single cavity, not one single thing wrong.
- 23:10I went in there with the full intention that they were going to tell
- 23:12me to get my wisdom teeth removed, because I still have them in my
- 23:15mouth. I was told four years ago or five years ago, five years
- 23:19ago that they had to be removed. And I decided to cancel my appointment
- 23:23because I do not like the fact of going under. That just stresses me
- 23:27out. So I literally canceled my appointment and just not like I've been back
- 23:33to the dentist since. It's just every time I've went they've said, yeah,
- 23:37like just a reminder that you need to get your wisdom teeth removed.
- 23:40Whatever. So I go to the same dentists. This is, I haven't
- 23:44gone a dentist appointment a year, okay, so it's been an entire year,
- 23:45and they say to me Kiley, your wisdom teeth are fine, like
- 23:49they're growing imperfectly. You do not need to get them removed, at least
- 23:52at this time, because I thought maybe I should get I should get them
- 23:56removed before the wedding, because you know, I don't want to have any
- 23:59issues. What I And they're like, no, it's coming in perfectly.
- 24:02And I guess my other tooth. I only have two wism teeth. I
- 24:04don't have the bottom ones, only two top ones, and my other one
- 24:07is like way up like by my eye, like way up in my cheekbone,
- 24:11and it's not coming down at all. So they said it may not
- 24:15ever come out ever in your life, or it might like way down the
- 24:18line, but they said, right now, the one that's actually poked out
- 24:22is fine, So you have no idea. Like how happy I was to
- 24:26hear that news, Like I hate going to the dentist and that's why I
- 24:30never book that appointment. I just hate it. I also don't really enjoy
- 24:34going to the doctor's appointment, Like I just don't like doing these wellness checkups,
- 24:38but it's important to do it. It's important to do it for your
- 24:41health, and it's important to just know what's going on with your body.
- 24:44And I'm so happy I booked that dentist appointment because now I just have a
- 24:48clear mind. I have nothing to worry about. My teeth are great,
- 24:51they're in great help. That's all that matters to me. But I do
- 24:53need to book a doctor's appointment in the new year, so I hope to
- 24:56be better at my wellness checkups. I did actually tell my dentists as well,
- 25:00to give me a call six months from now whenever I do have to
- 25:03get a cleaning next. I find getting a call and getting that reminder is
- 25:07important because you know, everybody has busy lives, everybody has shit going on.
- 25:11It's the reality. But having those little checkups and reminders to let you
- 25:15know, hey, you're due for a cleaning, that will push me to
- 25:18get a cleaning done, you know what I mean. So I told them
- 25:22to call me six months from now and then just like keep that in my
- 25:25file that every time I'm due for a hygiene appointment, just give me a
- 25:29call and I'll book my appointment. Another thing I need to be better at
- 25:32is being on time. I'm totally going to be honest here, I suck
- 25:37at being on time, no matter how many times I set an alarm saying,
- 25:40Killy, you need to leave the house right now because you're going to
- 25:42be late for your hair appointment or your nail appointment or whatever. I still,
- 25:47somehow I'm always late. So I need to figure out something that's going
- 25:51to make me on time for my appointments. It's such a bad habit.
- 25:56Whenever it comes to a workout class, I'm always on time, no issues,
- 26:00minutes earily. Every single time, nail appointment, hare appointment, you
- 26:03name, it's pusio appointment, I'm always at least two to five minutes late.
- 26:07Always. I don't know why. I don't know why it's always those
- 26:10appointments. I don't have good concept of time, let's just say that.
- 26:14So that is something that I need to improve on for twenty twenty four is
- 26:18just realizing how long things take me and just yeah, being better with my
- 26:22time. And then, lastly, things that I didn't like about this year
- 26:26is I felt like I had a very good meal planning schedule for the beginning
- 26:32of the year, and then I felt like once summer came, I kind
- 26:36of fell off that track where Zach and I were pretty consistent at prepping our
- 26:38meals for the week, meaning we knew what we were going to have for
- 26:41dinner every single night, you know, from Monday to Friday. So this
- 26:45past month, I feel like Zach and I both have really focused on trying
- 26:48to get better at getting back into our healthier recipes. I think we were
- 26:52just trying to cook meals that were just convenient and easy for us to make
- 26:57when the reality is that you really do enjoy eating healthier foods, and I
- 27:02feel like we kind of slacked on that. We've started to get back into
- 27:06it this month, specifically like back to meal planning, our weekly meal plans
- 27:11as well as finding new recipes on Pinterest, trying new recipes all that.
- 27:15So we've definitely been better at it this month. But hopefully in the new
- 27:18year, this is something that we'll get back into a consistent habit with and
- 27:23continue to make healthier recipes each week within the new year. So, I
- 27:29mean, obviously we're doing it now, as I said, but I really
- 27:30hope to get back into that habit of just trying new healthy recipes on Pinterest
- 27:36and yeah, just getting in a consistent routine of eating healthier throughout the new
- 27:41year. So once you have reviewed your year, when you write down the
- 27:42five things that you did this year, five things that you didn't like about
- 27:45this year that you want to improve on for twenty twenty four. Now let's
- 27:49talk about goal setting. So what are the goals that you want to achieve
- 27:55yourself? I think the most important thing to do here is to break them
- 27:57down into categories. Some goals around health and wellness, some goals around personal
- 28:03goals, and some goals around professional business or school goals. So depending on
- 28:08where you are in your life, whether you have a business that you're working
- 28:11on for yourself, or if you were in school and you really want to
- 28:15achieve something within your schooling, or if you have any personal goals that you
- 28:19want to achieve yourself, this is the time to write these type of things
- 28:23down. So when it comes to health and wellness, I think I kind
- 28:26of already touched on it, but meal planning and advance more is probably my
- 28:30main goal for my health and wellness goal. Another one that I feel like
- 28:34is more personal is prioritizing my task better. Example at prioritizing task is I
- 28:41might do a lot of tasks prior to that aren't that big of a deal,
- 28:45Like it's not a big deal if I empty the dishwasher, Whereas what's
- 28:51a bigger deal is me submitting a brand deal for a brand that I filmed
- 28:56that was due that day. Like emptying the dishwasher, submitting a brand deal,
- 29:00I'm pretty sure submitting a brand deal is more important. I think I
- 29:03need to be better at that and realizing the bigger things are more important to
- 29:07do in the morning versus doing that later in the day. So yeah,
- 29:11I need to be better at making sure that those tasks are a bigger priority
- 29:15versus those little tasks. I think another thing for my business goal, it's
- 29:19going to be delegating tasks more, meaning I need to start hiring a team
- 29:26and I have family that I will be hiring within for my business. I
- 29:32think I mentioned this, but I am starting a business and next year is
- 29:36really going to be my main focus of starting this business. So that would
- 29:38be a goal for myself for professional wise. I'm creating my own brand,
- 29:42I'm starting a business. I'm going to be selling a product, and I'm
- 29:47very very excited about it. I'm not going to give any hints, but
- 29:51it's definitely me. It's definitely giving me. That's all I have to say,
- 29:56and I think you guys are going to love it. I'm so excited
- 29:59about it. But anyways, I'm in the very beginning stages of it.
- 30:02And my dad actually owned his own company for fourteen years and he just recently
- 30:06got out of it because he didn't want to have that responsibility anymore because obviously
- 30:11owning a business is hard work. So essentially he sold it and he now
- 30:17works for a different company kind of more of a chill job. He is
- 30:22retiring realistically in the next five to seven years, so he just really wanted
- 30:26something different for the next five to seven years and just something more chill.
- 30:30But I am having my dad work for me, which is kind of fun,
- 30:34and he's helping me with my brand since he knows everything from top to
- 30:37bottom on how to start a business. So I feel very grateful to have
- 30:41someone like him to help me through this process. And I trust my dad
- 30:45more than anything when it comes to building a brand. He just knows everything,
- 30:51and I feel like I know a lot of the marketing strategies on how
- 30:55to get my brand out there and get my brand known and all that.
- 31:00It's going to be very exciting year doing that, but that is definitely my
- 31:02biggest goal for business wise is just really focusing on starting a brand and creating
- 31:07the brand that I envisioned for myself and that I envision that my followers and
- 31:12listeners purchase. So yeah, that's like my biggest professional goal for sure.
- 31:18So that is a next step is just talking about some goal setting that you
- 31:21want to do. Break it down into categories. As I said, write
- 31:22your health goals, your personal goals, your professional goals, all that,
- 31:26and figure out what you want to do with those goals for the new year.
- 31:32The next thing you're going to do is you're going to figure out habits
- 31:33that you want to include into your lifestyle for twenty twenty four. So this
- 31:37could be a huge list of things. This could be you know, drinking
- 31:40more water, you know, doing meditation, doing a workout every single morning,
- 31:44or going on a walk for thirty minutes every single day, Like those
- 31:48are the things like that daily journaling, you know, using my planner every
- 31:51single day. There's a lot of things that I currently do in my morning
- 31:55routine that I've been consistent with for three years now. So I'm not going
- 31:57to list all the things and I talk about it all the time. You
- 32:00guys know, on this podcast we talk about doing habits that make you feel
- 32:04so good and becoming your best self. So I'm not going to highlight those
- 32:07all because I feel like you guys kind of have a good understanding of what
- 32:12habits you should take into twenty twenty four. And if there's habits that you
- 32:15can think of that you know you used to be so good at in the
- 32:17beginning of this year that you want to be even better at for twenty twenty
- 32:21four, then that's the time for you to write those down. Okay,
- 32:23what are the habits that I want to get back into or stay consistent with.
- 32:27So for me personally, I have some things that I want to include,
- 32:32and one of them is something that I tried this year that I really
- 32:36failed at and I actually am so mad that I failed at this, but
- 32:39meditation. I don't know why it's been so difficult for me to get into
- 32:43meditating, but I truly do believe adding meditation into your routine will help you
- 32:49destress, will help you relax, Like I just need that in my life
- 32:53and I just need to be I need to be better at it. I
- 32:58just do. So I am hope to include this into my routine for twenty
- 33:01twenty four as my night routine is meditating and Form the brand that I actually
- 33:07work for, so Sammy Clerk's Form workout platform. They are recently adding meditation
- 33:15into the formapp, which I'm so excited about because I use Form all the
- 33:20time for my workouts. It's also a great way to find healthy recipes and
- 33:22all that. So meditation is definitely something that I hope to include into my
- 33:29night routine. So that will be my twenty twenty four habit for next year.
- 33:34Another habit that I want to include into my lifestyle is a digital detox.
- 33:38If you don't know what this means, it basically means disconnect yourself from
- 33:43social media. I need to be so much better at this, meaning I
- 33:45need to put my phone away at nine pm and not go on it.
- 33:49I feel like the beginning of this year, Zach and I had a nine
- 33:52pm rule where we would put our phones away and just you know, focus
- 33:55on him and I watching TV whatever, just enjoying the downtime together before I
- 34:00went to bed. I will say that I have not been doing that like
- 34:04these past few months. Again, I feel like summer kind of came and
- 34:07I kind of got into that bad habit of sticking to being on my phone
- 34:10past nine pm. So I definitely need to be better at just disconnecting from
- 34:15social media, specifically at night. I don't know why it's so bad.
- 34:17I feel like in the morning, I'm so focused on doing my routine,
- 34:21I'm so focused on starting my day for work all that that I don't really
- 34:24have a bad attachment to my phone in the morning. Like, yes,
- 34:28i'll scroll in the morning for maybe like ten minutes just to wake myself up,
- 34:30But I wouldn't say that's like a bad habit. I don't know.
- 34:34I think scrolling on your phone for ten minutes is not a big deal,
- 34:37Whereas at night, I'm on my phone all day with my job, I
- 34:39don't need to be on my phone at night. There's no reason for me
- 34:43to be scrolling for three hours for no reason. So I definitely need to
- 34:46be better at just disconnecting from social media, having some downtime, and just
- 34:52relaxing for the last hour of my night. Okay, So now that you
- 34:55have reviewed your year on things that you are proud that you accomplish, things
- 35:00that you didn't like, things that you want to work on, goals that
- 35:02you want to set for yourself for the new year, as well as habits
- 35:06that you want to include into your lifestyle. We then get into the vision
- 35:09board. This is how you're going to manifest your dream life. I'm telling
- 35:15you right now, vision boards are your main priority. I can honestly say
- 35:20that for the past three years of me doing vision boards, I want to
- 35:22say at least seventy percent of my vision boards actually comes true. And I
- 35:25think what's so amazing about vision boards is how good you feel seeing how much
- 35:30you accomplish throughout the year. It feels so good to see that you've achieved
- 35:35so much, and you've accomplished so much for yourself, and it makes you
- 35:38so motivated to do it again for the following year and just see what else
- 35:40you accomplish for yourself. So I will obviously be making one for twenty twenty
- 35:45four, and the next episode is really going to be focusing on my vision
- 35:49board and how I achieved certain goals for myself on my vision board, as
- 35:52well as how you are going to be able to achieve your goals on your
- 35:57vision board for twenty twenty four. So that will be our episode. Next
- 36:00week. We'll go into a deeper dive on how we're going to achieve those
- 36:02goals for ourselves for the new year, so make sure to stay tuned as
- 36:07well as make sure to stay tuned for the next giveaway winner. I will
- 36:10also be doing a giveaway on my Instagram and TikTok starting tomorrow, so definitely
- 36:14make sure to stay tuned for that as well. That will you guys also
- 36:16have a chance to enter those ones as well. Those ones are just completely
- 36:21different from the podcast, but you are more than welcome to enter those as
- 36:23well, so make sure to stay tuned for that. But thank you guys
- 36:27so much for listening to this episode. I love you all so much.
- 36:30I hope this helps you out for just planning and prepping for the new year.
- 36:35And as I said, next week, we'll talk more about just getting
- 36:37into a deeper dive of creating vision boards. So thank you guys so much
- 36:43for listening to this episode. I love you all so much, and I
- 36:45will see you guys next week.
