- 2:29Speaking of links, I, I know he likes his links and he's a, he's
- 2:34a basketball guy and I like his links because he works as a link
- 2:40of a scout for a basketball organization.
- 2:44We are now talking to former Pelicans front office executive
- 2:48and president of Scouting for Central, Dan Purcell.
- 2:53Danny, what's up, man? What's happening guys?
- 2:56You guys doing OK today? We're good, man.
- 2:58I mean, you, you're probably a lot better than us.
- 3:01I mean think. About I don't have bad days, I'm
- 3:03not going to lie to you, especially after I hear Cena's
- 3:06entrance here and he's at MSG right now.
- 3:09I'm feeling great. You're a you're a wrestling fan.
- 3:11I could tell. Oh, man, wrestling's so much
- 3:14fun. That's John Cena, man.
- 3:15Yeah, that's word. That's that's a thug.
- 3:18Anomics right there. That's old John Cena, right?
- 3:20There word life, word life. I don't want to put up any any.
- 3:23I even did that. You can't see me.
- 3:24I mean, he's only got three more times out there, so.
- 3:27Yeah, I it'd be good to watch it.
- 3:28I was doing some gang slogans. I don't want to get myself into
- 3:31trouble on this show. I definitely JA, I'm not trying
- 3:35to get myself into trouble. And that was that was a joke.
- 3:38But anyways, I, I don't want to get myself into trouble with him
- 3:41either because he seems like he, he could be a terrifying person,
- 3:44especially if you don't, if he's not on a basketball court and
- 3:47he's hanging outside it. But nevertheless, Dan, you, you
- 3:51were the last time we had you on the show.
- 3:53You were an executive for the Pelicans and we were speaking
- 3:56about certain things that were going on in professional
- 3:59basketball. One of them was John Morant.
- 4:01And now we have the betting scandal and this is starting to
- 4:07become more deeper than we ever thought.
- 4:10We had Tina, Tim Donaghy on the show last week.
- 4:14He kind of gave his take. We all know what Tim was a part
- 4:17of in in the time in the early 2000s.
- 4:20And we all know what he he got 15 months in jail and a lot of
- 4:24backlash from it. Your thoughts to this Chauncey,
- 4:28Bill UPS, Terry Rozier situation, Jones, you know all
- 4:32of them. I'm sure you do.
- 4:33And now LeBron James is name being brought into the
- 4:36forefront. Now, we don't know if it's all
- 4:38true and we don't know if Joe LeBron James is a part of this
- 4:41this scheme in the scandal. But just think about it.
- 4:44This is the greatest basketball player we've had since Michael
- 4:47Jordan. And now he could be a part of
- 4:50one of the worst scandals we've ever seen in NBA history.
- 4:54Yeah. Well, I mean, let's just start
- 4:56with the basics of it. You know, this has always been a
- 4:59thing, right? So you've always had to worry
- 5:02about outside influences, at least from a team perspective
- 5:06coming in and whether that's family, whether that's friends,
- 5:10business associates, gambling, whatever that is, right?
- 5:13You always have to worry about those things.
- 5:15So it's an inevitable thing, unfortunately, because people
- 5:17are susceptible to money and you know, especially when you have
- 5:23people on you saying, you know, you can make this money, you can
- 5:25make this money. All you have to do is, you know,
- 5:27like the pitcher from the guardians, you know, you just
- 5:30have to throw a first pitch ball and that's all we need you to do
- 5:33on your first outing, you know, and those things multiply quick,
- 5:38especially if they work right. And pertains to Donaghy and
- 5:43those guys. I was in at the, I wasn't in the
- 5:46league when they when they had it, but I always heard stories
- 5:48about how it kind of worked. And so the league, just so you
- 5:51guys know, from a a maintenance standpoint, the league has
- 5:55gambling training. They bring people into every
- 5:57team to talk to the players, the front office, the coaching
- 6:00staff, like the PR people, all of those things that we have
- 6:06people that come in and talk about it.
- 6:07You have to take a test, an anti gambling test every year.
- 6:10You have to sign a waiver saying that you aren't going to gamble,
- 6:13you haven't gambled on the game, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
- 6:16So there's safeguards in place there.
- 6:17But ultimately the players are going to do what the players are
- 6:20going to do, right? And the officials are going to
- 6:22do what the officials are going to do in terms of, you know,
- 6:28LeBron being in this. I don't see that.
- 6:30I've, I've known Lebron's, you know, I, I know I'm from
- 6:33Cleveland, he's from Akron. You know, I played against him
- 6:36in high school. Like it's, it's he's, I don't
- 6:40see that happening. He has too much to lose.
- 6:42Maverick Carter has too much to lose.
- 6:44He might have done one or two things on the side.
- 6:46I don't think it's anything to like, you know, really, really
- 6:48hurt him with a fun fact, though, I actually coached Terry
- 6:51Rozier in 9th grade back in Cleveland.
- 6:54So I actually knew Terry when I used to coach AAU, you know, way
- 6:58before I started in the league. And, you know, Terry was a great
- 7:03kid. You just came from a really
- 7:04tough area, you know, and a tough background, right?
- 7:08And when this came in, I was, I was really surprised in terms of
- 7:11because I hadn't, I kind of lost touch with them.
- 7:13You know, we were in the league together, we talked or whatever,
- 7:15but we weren't anything close. And when this happened, I was
- 7:17really surprised because you had a guy who signed a massive
- 7:21extension and he had money coming in, you know, left and
- 7:24right in terms of his salary and he still had some side
- 7:27endorsements, things like that. And to come out and be shaving
- 7:31points and, you know, missing going under on rebound averages
- 7:34and stuff like that. Like, I don't understand.
- 7:36One thing that I don't understand about all of this is
- 7:39what is the point? If you're making that much, why
- 7:43are you trying to in essence ruin that?
- 7:47You know, it's kind of like a risk reward scenario, right?
- 7:50If I make $14 million a year, does it make sense for me to try
- 7:54to make an extra 200,300 thousand on something that could
- 7:59take the 14,000,000 away? Right.
- 8:01And that to me that that risk analysis doesn't compute.
- 8:05Now some of the lower end guys to do it there.
- 8:08There was a kid I think at Uno, University of New Orleans, who I
- 8:11think he got caught a year or two ago, whatever it was, he was
- 8:14shaving points. But that kid had no NIL, he had
- 8:17no money coming in. So like he's not going to play
- 8:20in the NBA. So the risk reward is different
- 8:22for him, right. So I'm not saying it's right,
- 8:25obviously, I'm just saying from a risk reward side, I'm not sure
- 8:28if it's just addiction mentality.
- 8:30I'm not sure if the guys are, you know, they're trying to get
- 8:33their boys or their friends or their family or whoever that is
- 8:36like they're trying to get them set.
- 8:38Whatever it is, it's not healthy for basketball in general and
- 8:42it's not healthy for sports. But when you're you're one of
- 8:45your main sponsors is a gambling company, a sports gambling
- 8:49company, the the there's too much opportunity for, you know,
- 8:54crossing over into what ultimately is not a good area to
- 8:58be in. So I want to ask it from the
- 9:00college perspective. You obviously scout a lot of
- 9:02college kids. You just got like G League
- 9:04players, international players, stuff like that.
- 9:06Now, when we had Tim on the show, he was mentioning that he
- 9:08doesn't think it'll be as big of a deal in college basketball or
- 9:11in other college sports the same way it was in the NBA.
- 9:13What are your thoughts on that? I actually disagree.
- 9:16I think it's actually more I, I, I think the lower you get on the
- 9:21totem pole, that's why I pulled out that risk reward.
- 9:24You know, you know, purview is like how the less money you
- 9:30make, the more, more opportunity there will be for you,
- 9:34especially on the lower levels, because the nil money isn't
- 9:37there. Now, if you're AJ Debanche and
- 9:39you're making 4 million, totally different purview than the guy
- 9:43at playing at a SWAC school or, you know, a Mac school and he's
- 9:48getting 2000 a year. Like, and obviously they don't
- 9:52think if these guys don't think they're going to the NBA, why
- 9:54would you even like, why am I even worried about it?
- 9:56You know, like I need to make money now.
- 9:58This is my this is my time to make money.
- 10:00So I actually think it gets worse in the college ranks than
- 10:06it will in the pros all I don't think in Europe.
- 10:10It's not really a culture thing here.
- 10:12It seems to be a culture thing in terms of like gambling is a
- 10:15big part of our culture, you know, with not just, you know,
- 10:17gambling rings, but like there's a lot of stuff that has
- 10:21entertainment attached to it. That could be gambling, you know
- 10:24what I mean? But it's not, it's
- 10:25entertainment. Game shows, sports cards break.
- 10:28That's what, you know, we do sports card breaking.
- 10:30Like a lot of people could see that as gambling too.
- 10:32There's just a lot of that, right?
- 10:34It's really good for the revenues of the league.
- 10:36It's not really good for all the players.
- 10:38It's really just good for the minimum guys and the Max guys.
- 10:41The middle class NBA guys have been priced out.
- 10:43I don't know if you guys have covered that at all, but the in
- 10:46this CBA, all the middle class, they've pretty much been sent
- 10:50home by the rich, by the rich upper 10%.
- 10:53And if I was anybody in the league right now who's a minute
- 10:56like majority of the league, I would be absolutely pissed at
- 11:00leadership that's in the union right now because they sold the
- 11:03league to the top 25 guys and these middle, middle men are
- 11:09getting eked out. So maybe, maybe you have some
- 11:11gambling issues there with the middle guys.
- 11:13Maybe that's maybe that's one of them.
- 11:14Because instead of signing a, a $25 million extension over 4
- 11:19years, they signed a minimum deal because there was the,
- 11:23because of the hard cap. So or the second apron.
- 11:27I'm sorry for the apron. Do you, do you see it like do
- 11:32you see them changing any of the dynamics of the rules or like
- 11:36the suspensions do do you think they become harsher?
- 11:39Do you think it's kind of a situationally based or do they
- 11:42set a first time offense boom, boom, boom or do you think it
- 11:45goes situation by situation? No, you got to set a standard.
- 11:48I mean, you have to. This is the NBA.
- 11:49Like this is not, you know, Rob, Robin Biggs, you know, community
- 11:56men's league, you know what I mean?
- 11:57Like this is like, this is this is the NBA and you can't I I
- 12:03like baseball's lead on this. I like that baseball's like this
- 12:06is this is it. We tell you, we warn you, we
- 12:09warn you, you have to take all these tests during the year.
- 12:11You have to get, you know, you have to get vetted in essence by
- 12:14the league. Like if you decide to break and
- 12:18ruin the integrity of the game, you're gone.
- 12:20It's got to be that you can't hold it back.
- 12:22I mean, look what happened to Pete Rose, like, and Pete is
- 12:26nothing compared to what's happening now like Pete Rose is
- 12:29doing that's this is that's a that's Mickey Mouse compared to
- 12:32what's going on right now, you know, and he was banned for for
- 12:36his whole life and now that he got unbanned, which is right,
- 12:39but still like he was banned for life.
- 12:41And that was the right decision to make, unfortunately.
- 12:44So it's it's a slippery slope. Gambling is tough.
- 12:50I think you just got to be an iron fist.
- 12:52I really do, because if you don't do an iron fist upfront,
- 12:56then people are more people are going to take advantage of it.
- 12:58There has to be consequences. Especially in our culture these
- 13:01days and days, a lot of people don't take accountability.
- 13:03You got to be able to hold them accountable for their actions.
- 13:06You have to. There's no way around it.
- 13:08We are talking to former Pelicans front office executive
- 13:11and president of Scout Central, Dan Purcell.
- 13:14He's been on our show before. Now he's doing stuff for college
- 13:18sports. There's two guys right now.
- 13:21I've. Those are great picks, by the
- 13:23way. Wow, look at that strapping
- 13:25young man. Jeez, Yeah.
- 13:26Look at you. I mean, that's, that has
- 13:28something to do with our executive producer, Mr. Aaron
- 13:30Fish Fisherman. He's the one that picks up and
- 13:33he he's the one who builds these great, great backgrounds for for
- 13:38all the fans and and for all our guests.
- 13:40So the Boozer brothers are two sensational young players are
- 13:45these guys could go one and three.
- 13:48We are maybe 2:00 and 3:00 because it seems like the kid
- 13:50from BYU is the predominant #1 pick.
- 13:56We're going to argue on that. I'm just saying.
- 13:58I'm just saying. We're going to argue now.
- 14:00Now I got I got to I got to preface this with so two years
- 14:04ago, if you checked my Twitter, you checked my Instagram.
- 14:06Yes, I said that the 2026 draft is going to be the best draft of
- 14:11this you did of this century. You just said that it's on
- 14:14there. I stick by that and I was I've
- 14:16been spot on about it. So carry on.
- 14:18Sorry, sorry, I got I got to make sure that.
- 14:20No, no, no, no. I remember you saying that you
- 14:22were on. The show Dan, Dan, give it to
- 14:24him. Go ahead.
- 14:25Don't, don't pull back. Give it to him.
- 14:26Well, he's not giving it to me. I agree with him.
- 14:28I'm. Not giving it to him.
- 14:29No, he was. He was on the show and I
- 14:31remember he said 2026 because everybody was talking about 2025
- 14:35and he says, I beg to differ, 2026 is going to be a
- 14:39sensational draft, might be one of the best drafts since the
- 14:42Dwyane Wade draft, the LeBron James, Dwyane Wade draft.
- 14:46I remember you said that and I if you remember that Chris,
- 14:49Chris Bosh was a part of that draft.
- 14:50That was a great draft. Carmelo Anthony, Darko Milechek
- 14:54was garbage. He was poo poo, but everybody
- 14:57else was pretty damn good. I, but this, this is a draft
- 15:00class that I, I mean, it's loaded And, and that's why
- 15:03everybody including the Brooklyn Nets on, on the reasons why they
- 15:06made all those trades last year and they're trying to get ready
- 15:10for 2026 because we all know the the first 3 picks are absolute
- 15:16slam dunks. They're saying that they're
- 15:18absolute slam dunks. And obviously the, the two kids
- 15:23from Duke, I love them both. I followed both of them since
- 15:27high school and and we all know I and I still believe Cooper
- 15:30flags going to be special, but he really, he really hasn't been
- 15:35on that track yet. But I, you know what scares me
- 15:37about Cooper flags before we get into the the Boozer brothers,
- 15:41the only thing that scares me about him is I remember
- 15:44Christian Leitner and it was a lot of pressure on Christian
- 15:46Leitner and he won two national championships.
- 15:50Christian Leitner was the next coming of college basketball.
- 15:54He played for the dream team in 92 and and a lot of people,
- 15:57LeBron James, LeBron James came out when when these young, the
- 16:02young studs came out to practice with Team USAA year ago.
- 16:05He said, wow, that kid Cooper flag, that kids going to be
- 16:08special. That guy's that guy was the best
- 16:10player on the court when we were playing against him with some of
- 16:13the young players. But he hasn't.
- 16:15I, I will say this, I know it's early, but he hasn't been as
- 16:20good as I thought he was going to come out of the gate.
- 16:22I know the Dallas Mavericks are nothing to brag about.
- 16:25Anthony Davis doesn't want to be there.
- 16:27We all know the whole story behind it.
- 16:29But Cooper flag, I, I would love to hear your take on Cooper flag
- 16:32and where you see him. But the, the the Boozer
- 16:36brothers, I, I think obviously they're both special.
- 16:40One who's 6 foot 9 has the ability to get into the paint,
- 16:43shoot the three dominates in every kind of way.
- 16:47He is. I think he's a better player
- 16:49than Cooper was coming out of high school.
- 16:51And then his brother, who is one of the best point guards and one
- 16:56of the best guards I've seen, not just from Duke, from from
- 17:00the last 10 years to come out of college basketball.
- 17:03Your thoughts on the flag and the two Boozer boys.
- 17:07So let's start with, there's a little back story here.
- 17:09I want to make sure you understand it.
- 17:11So Flag just so I'm not sure if everybody in the audience knows,
- 17:15Flag reclassified. He was actually supposed to be
- 17:18in the 26th draft. I don't know if anybody
- 17:21remembers that. He's originally supposed to be
- 17:22in the 2026 draft and he reclassified up to get away from
- 17:30this draft. It was smart, right?
- 17:32Because you wanted, you didn't. You weren't guaranteed the
- 17:34number one pick, but you were guaranteed the number one pick
- 17:38in this class. It's a money thing, right?
- 17:39It was smart to do that. You guys have to remember he
- 17:42should be a freshman in college right now, as we're watching
- 17:44highlights of Coupe when I interviewed him at Mont Verde,
- 17:49the dude is a killer. Like he's a killer.
- 17:51But what they've asked him to do this year is be a facilitating
- 17:55point guard. And he's not a starter.
- 17:57He's a finisher. He finishes plays and that's
- 18:00what they haven't done. And they had him playing point
- 18:02guard and so he's never been a point guard.
- 18:05I will tell you that right now. He's always been the finisher on
- 18:08plays, right At Montverd, they had two point guards.
- 18:10Rob Wright, he went to BYU with Debansha for a reason.
- 18:14BYU paid him to get De Boncha, A facilitating point guard.
- 18:17Who's one of the best is Rob Wright.
- 18:19He had a host of dudes around him that were just exceptional,
- 18:23right? They asked him to be a point
- 18:24guard and he's not. I think when they get him away
- 18:27from that and being a small forward, 234, you know, big
- 18:31lineups, I think he's you guys are going to see that he's a
- 18:34much better player in those scenarios.
- 18:38I'm not worried about Coop at all.
- 18:39He's a monster, man. He's like straight monster
- 18:42franchise player. Franchise player, sorry.
- 18:46It's all right, it's all right, all right.
- 18:49What's up, kid? I love it here.
- 18:52That's so great. Sorry about that.
- 18:55That's all right. There's.
- 18:56Nothing. You wanted to play on the iPad.
- 18:59We're Central time. All the parents out there, we're
- 19:02Central time. So it's OK.
- 19:04It's not bedtime yet. So you know, I'm not worried
- 19:08about flag now in terms of the 26th draft.
- 19:12I mean Boozer, let's go with let's go with Cam, right?
- 19:16Cam is is the better of the yes, the boozer twins 6 foot.
- 19:20He's a franchise player. He's much better than his dad
- 19:23was. If you guys remember, his dad
- 19:24was a bruiser, mid range guy could defend the best post
- 19:28player on the opposite team, you know, unless it was like Shaq or
- 19:32something or yeah, or you know, something like that.
- 19:34So there's that toughness. He has that grit in him.
- 19:37But the thing on top of if you saw the other day, he did, he
- 19:39was out in the full court and he did it behind the back trouble
- 19:42got somebody in the full court. That's the extra thing that he
- 19:45has. He's a better shooter.
- 19:46He's better offensive player, better finisher than his dad.
- 19:49He's he's like an absolute upgrade from his dad who was an
- 19:53All Star in the NBA. So what does that tell you?
- 19:55Right to me, he's probably the he's probably going to be the
- 19:59number three pick in this draft. Really.
- 20:02I have had Darren Peterson at one the entire time.
- 20:05I have not changed it from a term of who he is does a person
- 20:10and his skill set. He does everything.
- 20:13He literally could be the next guy, the next type of he's not
- 20:18Giannis in terms of the way he plays, but the guy that the
- 20:21league gravitates towards terms of marketing and who they should
- 20:25be like and guys they want to, you know, that they want to
- 20:28clone in essence. So for me, I have Peterson one,
- 20:31I'm not moving off of that unless he gets hurt in some way.
- 20:332 is Debancha. Debancha is just he is he is
- 20:39Kevin Durant just under, though he's not as good as Durant.
- 20:44He can't get to his spots as well as KD did.
- 20:47If you guys remember KD back at Texas, he was getting to his
- 20:50elbow spots. He anytime he wants, right?
- 20:52He's not as big as KD either, but I think there's a lot of
- 20:55similarities in size and length and where he's going to play and
- 20:59body type, and there's a lot of that there.
- 21:02As far as Kaden, I don't have Kaden as high as you.
- 21:06I think Kaden is probably late lottery really first.
- 21:10Yeah, I like him. I just think that there's too
- 21:13many other guys in between. That's how loaded this class is.
- 21:17Because if you would put if Kaden decides to stay one more
- 21:20year, he's probably a top five pick, top seven pick in the next
- 21:25draft because the next drafts not nearly as strong the 27
- 21:29draft. So there'll be a decision to be
- 21:31made there for him. But you have guys like nada met
- 21:34Chris Sinek, just guys that like there's so many good players.
- 21:40I forget. I'm always awful with foreign
- 21:41kids name, but there's a kid out in Europe too who's phenomenal
- 21:44as well. He'll be a top ten pick.
- 21:46So like you just have like this has three franchise players, a
- 21:51possible, another two franchise players possible.
- 21:55I, I, so in my rankings, I go franchise core player, core
- 21:59players. Think of Drew Holiday.
- 22:01Think of somebody, you know, prime Drew Holiday, somebody
- 22:03like that, right, Who's like just a core player next to your
- 22:08superstars. And you probably have seven of
- 22:10those in this draft. That's unheard of.
- 22:13So you if you if you get Brooklyn did like Oklahoma City
- 22:17has done, San Antonio has Atlanta's pick, Atlanta picked
- 22:21up New Orleans pick, which right now looks priceless, like
- 22:25priceless like that is maybe the greatest haul, maybe the
- 22:31greatest haul of this century if it works out, if they get a top
- 22:34three pick out of that. And I love Derrick Queen.
- 22:38I love Derrick Queen. I don't love him that much
- 22:40though, and I would not. There is there is no chance
- 22:44knowing I'm not. I'm going to go on my soapbox
- 22:46here. Sorry, but I don't know.
- 22:50And I'm just being honest here. If you, it tells me there's a
- 22:54lack of focus in your scouting department.
- 22:59If you are trading away 2026 lottery picks, unprotected
- 23:05lottery picks, it tells me you don't know the draft.
- 23:08I'm sorry, you just don't. And you thought that the risk
- 23:10reward would be better by doing it this way.
- 23:13No, no, no, you can't. This is the one draft.
- 23:15You can't do that, Dan. I I'm just can't do it.
- 23:18I get so pissed off because I look at the Knicks and I know
- 23:22the Knicks are a good team right now, but think about it.
- 23:25What what pisses me off, what pisses me off more than anything
- 23:29is this protected and unprotected crop that the NBA
- 23:33has. If you're trading a pick, there
- 23:35shouldn't be a protected and unprotected.
- 23:37It should just be the pick. I I don't like how the NBA has
- 23:41that drawn up. It really pisses me off because
- 23:43look what the Knicks got for Porzingis.
- 23:45Absolutely diddly squat. They got nothing for Porzingis,
- 23:50and Porzingis is the one that helped the Boston Celtics win
- 23:53their championship. It makes me so forget stomach.
- 23:55Don't forget what he's doing in Atlanta, right?
- 23:57Yeah, I know it stops. Could you stop?
- 23:59If you stop doing this to me, it makes me Atlanta.
- 24:02'S on a roll by the way right now.
- 24:03Thank you. Thank you.
- 24:04Better without. Trey Young, it's.
- 24:06Thank you so much. Without Trey.
- 24:07Yeah, I, I I'm pretty, I have close to a few guys in Atlanta.
- 24:11I would I would suspect, you know, I would.
- 24:15They're smart people over there. If they see this, they're gonna
- 24:18go Ding. You know what can we what in 26
- 24:21can we pick up? But yeah, I, I So what happened
- 24:25in. In in essence with the with the
- 24:28draft is they fractionalize the value, right?
- 24:30Think of it like Bitcoin. Bitcoin fractionalize the value
- 24:33of fake currency, right? Or of currency, whatever it is.
- 24:37So it's the same type of thing. And it helps even out trades in
- 24:41terms of value. So I understand your, your, your
- 24:44angst with that. But again, with the NFL, you
- 24:46have 7 rounds. In the NBA, you only have two.
- 24:49So you have to like, since there's not a ton of supply, you
- 24:52have to fractionalize that to make them worth more or less.
- 24:56Because like, if I need, if I'm getting a, a starter key reserve
- 25:00and not a franchise or a core guy, I don't want to give up an
- 25:03unprotected pick. I want to give up a lottery
- 25:05protected pick for him. So it's just it's
- 25:07fractionalizing it, that's all. I know it's frustrating.
- 25:09Oh, yeah, it's fractional. Then Nick's got nothing.
- 25:12Hey, we gave up Porzingis for nothing there.
- 25:15The fraction here is he's a piece of currency, and that
- 25:19currency was absolutely crap for the New York Knicks.
- 25:23Thank you. Thank you to every single team
- 25:27that gave us so many options when it came to trade picks over
- 25:31the years. We've gotten Detroit's picks,
- 25:33we've gotten Charlotte's picks and their currency of it was was
- 25:37unprotected, which means it's crap.
- 25:39The currency is garbage. Thank you.
- 25:41Thank you for giving me that information, Dan.
- 25:44It makes me sick to my stomach. It just makes me hate being a
- 25:47Knick fan even more. Thank you.
- 25:48Yeah, you guys. Hey, you know what?
- 25:50It's nice to see Kat, that one coming around though.
- 25:52He had a good game. What was it last night or No2
- 25:55night? When was it?
- 25:56When was the last game? He had like 30 some.
- 25:58Sunday, yeah. Yeah, Sunday it was two night.
- 26:00Yeah, it was last night, right? And I don't know, I haven't
- 26:03looked today, but it's nice to see finally that Mike Brown's
- 26:06tweaking this. Because if you noticed cats
- 26:08getting a lot more pick and pop opportunities, getting a lot
- 26:10more open shots. Whereas before they were closing
- 26:13out hard on him because we they weren't having backside pressure
- 26:17on the back door or weak side action.
- 26:20And so that hurt cat a lot because guys were in his face
- 26:22and it was shorter close outs than what he got last year,
- 26:25right. So it's nice to see cats, cats
- 26:28starting to come around a little bit.
- 26:29But yeah, I, I, if you want to talk next, we can talk next.
- 26:32It's going to be tough. I'm not going to lie to you.
- 26:34You aren't going to be happy with me by the time I'm done.
- 26:36I'm. Sure, I want to.
- 26:37I want to jump back to the the big story of last week.
- 26:39Obviously you being a front office guy, Nico Harrison get
- 26:42Nico Harrison getting fired after the those trade that
- 26:45shocked the NBA world last year, trading Luka Doncic.
- 26:48Does is does he deserve it? Is he a scapegoat?
- 26:51I mean, Mark Cuban now who has 27% ownership wants to buy some
- 26:53of the team back or almost all the team back.
- 26:55Like what are your thoughts of that whole saga?
- 26:57This is a, I'm going to try not to swear here.
- 27:00This is this is, this is a disaster.
- 27:03Now I, I've known, I've, I've known Nico for a while.
- 27:06He, he would, when he was with Nike, he was always down in New
- 27:09Orleans with Anthony and all them and we played pick up
- 27:12basketball together. When we went out to Nike, we
- 27:14would play, you know, we'd meet with him and talk to talk with
- 27:16him. And I never got the vibe that it
- 27:18was like that. You know, I never got a vibe
- 27:20that it was short sighted. He was always big picture.
- 27:25This is what we want to do etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
- 27:28And especially at that time, Nike was starting to take over
- 27:31all of the apparel for the league too.
- 27:33So he was, you know, he had a huge part in that.
- 27:37When it actually happened, I actually messaged, I messaged
- 27:41about four of the my four of my best friends in the NBA and I
- 27:43said, is this real? This can't be real.
- 27:45Won the Luca trade. This is unreal.
- 27:47Like I don't care if Luca is 40 lbs overweight.
- 27:50I don't care if he's 70 lbs. He's still he took you to the
- 27:52finals and I mean he he averaged 30 and seven and five or
- 27:58whatever it was. So it's hard for you.
- 28:01You can't trade away franchise players because this is the
- 28:04scenario you put yourself in. And as A and as a team, you
- 28:07never want to be in this scenario.
- 28:09You either have to be perfect. You have to be perfect and
- 28:13lucky, meaning that no injuries, no off court issues really, it's
- 28:19no injuries. That's the big thing, right?
- 28:21You got to get lucky not to have any injuries and then you have
- 28:24to be good. So like both of those things
- 28:27rarely happen in unison. If you ever notice, like half of
- 28:30the league, like half of the playoffs is teams that just
- 28:33don't don't get hurt. You know, like the best,
- 28:35sometimes it's not even the best team.
- 28:37It's the team that got hurt less wins, wins the title over a
- 28:40course of two months. One thing that I never liked was
- 28:43was when teams put themselves in a situation where you had to be
- 28:47lucky and you had to be good. Rarely does it happen and then
- 28:51on top of it, you put yourself into the situation.
- 28:54It's not like Luca said, hey, I'm out of here, Get Me Out of
- 28:57here, everybody. If he would have said that,
- 29:00everybody been like, all right, well, he was just trying to get
- 29:02the best he could. It probably could have got more,
- 29:03but still. But this came out of left field.
- 29:06And then at his press conference, he said time will
- 29:09tell if I'm right. And that's never anything you
- 29:12want to say. It's nothing you want to say in
- 29:14a press conference. You never want to say time will
- 29:16tell if I was right because nine times out of 10, you're going to
- 29:20be wrong. If time is is your judger right
- 29:22is your judgment. And you can't, one of my
- 29:27cardinal rules, you can't trade franchise players, especially if
- 29:31they took you to the Finals. For God's sake, could you
- 29:33imagine if we would have traded Anthony Davis after we beat
- 29:36Portland in the first round of the playoffs and then won a game
- 29:39against gold, That Golden State team with, right, Durant, Steph,
- 29:42Clay, like we won a game against them.
- 29:45And could you imagine? And we didn't even get to the
- 29:47Finals or the Western Conference finals, wouldn't even get there.
- 29:51And could you imagine, could you imagine the people that if we
- 29:55had traded Anthony Davis right after that and said, oh, he's
- 29:57too soft. Oh, he doesn't have the winning
- 29:59instinct. He's not a killer.
- 30:01Could you imagine? Exactly.
- 30:06And then and then on top of it, and then we're sitting there
- 30:08going, you know, what time will be our judge if we were right,
- 30:10Like, Nah, man, like you can't, you can't say say that stuff.
- 30:14Do it one more time. Just say one more time.
- 30:16Active stuff cook you I'm Do it, do a moment time.
- 30:19Do it. Do it one more time.
- 30:21Which part could you imagine? No, Do it like a grandma.
- 30:28Like an old old woman. Old, old.
- 30:30Woman, grandma, Yeah, could. You imagine doing that?
- 30:33Honey, I'm from Burton. OH, and I killed them.
- 30:39I don't even act like I didn't. That was good.
- 30:42I thought that was good. Slam dunk right there.
- 30:44Love New York City. I love it.
- 30:46Dan Purcell, ladies and gentlemen.
- 30:48Dan Purcell. One more thing you asked me.
- 30:52You asked about a player. Now I'm a Cleveland Browns guy.
- 30:56Just so you know, I'm from Cleveland, OH, roughly, you
- 31:00asked a player who got paid before he performed ever on the
- 31:04field, right? I got the name.
- 31:07Who is it? Timothy Tebow.
- 31:11True. Well, you know what's so it's so
- 31:19interesting about Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow was on a podcast and they
- 31:24were talking about, you know, all the different things that he
- 31:26does off the field and, and, and endorsing so many things of
- 31:30building health facilities around the world.
- 31:33And great human being a. Great, great human being.
- 31:36And and they were talking. About baseball player too.
- 31:39Yeah, that baseball player, he was terrible.
- 31:42He was terrible at everything but college football.
- 31:44But nevertheless, and by the way, he took the Broncos all the
- 31:47way to the playoffs and he actually beat the Pittsburgh
- 31:49Steelers because I mean, he. Threw one good Passover.
- 31:53The man wait a second. Still won.
- 31:55Still won, still won. The question was who got paid
- 31:58before they prove themselves on the field.
- 32:01Tebow had every endorsement in the world before the NFL Draft.
- 32:08Before the NFL Draft, he signed it between when he graduated and
- 32:12before he got drafted, right? Yes.
- 32:16That man got paid way more and I disagree that he led them.
- 32:22He was awful for 46 1/2 minutes every game and the only reason
- 32:27they were in the game is because their defense was so good.
- 32:31They had a top three defense. They had the top scoring defense
- 32:34that year. Most of the wins that Tebow got
- 32:37were because of defensive either stops, preventions, or scores.
- 32:42Hold on, hold on. I will give you this though.
- 32:45I will give you this in the two-minute drill when the
- 32:49defense can't get set 100%. He was.
- 32:52He was magic. You got to make the plays.
- 32:53I mean, Mark Sanchez took The Jets to back-to-back AFC title
- 32:57games and he gets all the credit in the world for it.
- 32:59And I'm like, come on, please. It's Mark.
- 33:00Top five defense Terrell Rivas. 1.
- 33:04Of the best defensive lines ever.
- 33:07Like, you can't. Like, that's that's the thing.
- 33:08Please. Are we going to get into the New
- 33:11York Jets? Are we really?
- 33:12We want to go back and forth. Darrell Rivas.
- 33:14Darrell Rivas is one of the greatest corners to ever play
- 33:17the game. I would say some people when he
- 33:19was on that team that that's fine.
- 33:21And but that that defense was highly overrated.
- 33:23Bart Scott was highly overrated. Can't wait.
- 33:27Yeah, I can't wait. Yeah, I would.
- 33:28I couldn't wait either. After the game.
- 33:30It made me want to throw up. Dude, I remember that game
- 33:34because the last thing I can remember is Braylon Edwards
- 33:37making back, doing backflips after beating the New England
- 33:40Patriots. OK.
- 33:41And then and then. And then you got smushed.
- 33:44Oh yeah, it would just made me sick to my stomach.
- 33:46I just and then and then they bring Santonio Holmes after that
- 33:50and and that was of absolute debacle.
- 33:52Thank you to the New York Jets, but I have been.
- 33:55Listen, Jay, I'm a Browns fan, man.
- 33:57I got it worse than. You so stop.
- 33:58Are you don't even act like I heard your Sanders.
- 34:01Stop. Stop killing the kid.
- 34:03Stop the Ravens. Oh, oh the.
- 34:05Best safety and. But oh stop.
- 34:07The Ravens defense is one of the worst defenses in the league
- 34:10right now. Get out of here, please.
- 34:13Over. The last three over the last
- 34:14four games, they've been a top five.
- 34:16They're still one of the worst defenses in the league and they
- 34:19have a lot of deficiencies. And you're not going to tell me
- 34:21should door Sanders was a deer and the headlights in that game,
- 34:25man, I could have been in that pocket making better throws than
- 34:29he was. I mean seriously, get out of.
- 34:32Here. Yes.
- 34:33How tall are you? Could you even see over the
- 34:36line? I mean, Russell Wilson, go
- 34:39Russell Wilson, go Russell Wilson's 510.
- 34:42I mean, come on. Stop.
- 34:43Stop with this crap. Danny Russell Wilson wears
- 34:46inserts to be 6. One yeah, well, Russell is for a
- 34:49limited height. Russell Wilson also Russell
- 34:52Wilson also shoves his thumb up his ass before the game.
- 34:54Everyone cares. I mean seriously.
- 34:57And maybe that raises out there. I the fact here is and and to go
- 35:01back to go back to that argument on on Shadora Sanders, I, I to
- 35:06me, it doesn't matter what he has done in the game.
- 35:10It matters what he does after the game.
- 35:12And what he did after the game was he should have gotten up
- 35:15like a professional does and go to the middle of the field and
- 35:20and and go and shake the other quarterbacks hand.
- 35:22Instead, he's sitting on the bench pouting with his hand on
- 35:26his head. OK, I to me, you, you're, you
- 35:29know. What he did in the locker room.
- 35:31Though Yeah, I saw what he did in the locker room.
- 35:33I I I understand what he did and.
- 35:35He and and in the in the press. Conference stop.
- 35:37At the press conference, he said.
- 35:39Oh, I got to be better. I got to be better.
- 35:40How about at the end of the day, he's a fifth round pick.
- 35:43Oh, stop it now. Stop.
- 35:47I don't care. He was considered a first round
- 35:49towers. Game again with no like.
- 35:52I agree with you though, if next week he pulls a Dylan Gabriel
- 35:56then I agree with you. Experiment might be over real
- 35:59quick with Stefanski cuz Stefanski does not want him.
- 36:02Stefanski did not want him. That was an ownership decision,
- 36:05that was what it was. Dylan Gabriel is awful though.
- 36:08Let's just be real. Dylan Gabriel is awful.
- 36:10So it's hard because their defense is so good that they're
- 36:15not going to get a top three pick.
- 36:17Like they're going to beat bad teams just because Miles Garrett
- 36:20is literally the greatest defensive player of all time.
- 36:22Like that's. Literally pretty damn good.
- 36:24He's pretty damn good. I think he deserves that.
- 36:26Hedging him on the Giants? No, being like Michael, a better
- 36:29Michael Strahan like and the Giants would be a playoff team.
- 36:33I I think him on any team in the AFC or.
- 36:37On the AFC, Browns are going to have Defensive player of the
- 36:39Year and Defensive Rookie of the year to be A2 win team pretty.
- 36:42Much. And And the Jim Thorpe Award
- 36:44winner, too. Yeah.
- 36:45I think that it's crazy, Denzel Ward, it just tells you why.
- 36:48I mean, think about it. The Jets had the the rookie of
- 36:51the year defensively and rookie of the year offensively and they
- 36:54didn't even sniff the playoffs. They didn't even sniff five
- 36:56games, five wins. I mean, so that's a whole
- 37:01another story. But before we let you go and and
- 37:04I listen, you love Shador or you're, you're, you're backing
- 37:07up Shador Sanders. No, I'm just 5050.
- 37:09I'm saying give him a shout. Well, that's all right.
- 37:12I don't think he's special. I don't think he's Elway.
- 37:14I don't think he's in Mahomes. I don't think he's even Matt
- 37:17Ryan. But you know, let's see, Kate,
- 37:20it doesn't get worse than what Dylan Gabriel.
- 37:22'S Do you want me? You want me to tell you who I
- 37:24think he is? He's Christian Hackenberg.
- 37:29Hey, can I, can I throw, can I throw a prediction out real
- 37:32quick? Sorry.
- 37:35We see Massage Watson by the end of the year.
- 37:39That's a good one, Massage Watson.
- 37:42On the fielder in the facility. On the field, starting a game
- 37:45for the Cleveland Browns, I love it.
- 37:47That's how that is, how desperate the Browns are going
- 37:49to be. They are going to call Massage
- 37:52and say, Sir, Massage Watson, would you mind coming and
- 37:57playing a game for us, please? We're paying you $180 million.
- 38:02Would you mind playing one game for us?
- 38:04We just need one. He'd.
- 38:09Probably go ball out too. Bro he'd throw for 303 toddies
- 38:12all day. We'd be like, oh, massage Watson
- 38:16back. Massage Watson.
- 38:20That's a good one. I love it.
- 38:23I love it, I got to say. Dan, I mentioned this a few
- 38:26weeks ago. We have a final segment.
- 38:27What's that smell? We always take make fun of
- 38:29something at the end of the show.
- 38:30Like 3 weeks ago I would say there was a report that Deshaun
- 38:32Watson wants to be part of the next head coaching search.
- 38:35Like. What did you?
- 38:36Possibly do to deserve that. That's that is clickbait.
- 38:39No way. No way that's.
- 38:42Like I, I will say John. Marks would never listen to
- 38:45Massage Watson about basketball. Get out of here.
- 38:51Like what? Like what are we doing?
- 38:55Hey, how much would you guys like to have Kenny Atkinson back
- 38:57right now? Geez.
- 38:58I like him on the Knicks. Geez Kenny Atsons killing it.
- 39:04Yeah, I love it right now. I love Kenny.
- 39:05And he's a Long Island native, so I read him on all the time.
- 39:08Him, there's a lot of good coaches from Long Island and the
- 39:12New York area. So I Dino.
- 39:14Yeah, yeah. Pitino John's John's doing
- 39:17great. This A lot of people think
- 39:19they're a Final Four team. We'll see.
- 39:21I mean, their offense is a lot better than they were last year.
- 39:23So if they have any kind of offense in that tournament,
- 39:26they're definitely going to be an Elite Eight team.
- 39:29I, I love them and I'm going to go, I'm actually invited to go
- 39:32see a St. John's game and, and those games
- 39:34are sold out. So to get.
- 39:36At Ms. here at St. John's St.
- 39:37John's So. They play like half their games
- 39:40at MSG I think don't they? Yep.
- 39:41They do. They do.
- 39:43I went to, I went to St. John's.
- 39:45Shit. What was it?
- 39:46Sorry. I swore my bad guys.
- 39:48That's all right. Man, I mean, come on, you're Dan
- 39:50Purcell. I mean, yeah, right.
- 39:52Massage. You're you're you're the massage
- 39:54man. Where?
- 39:55Do where do the where do the Johnnies play at?
- 39:58They they, they're St. John's, they, they, the
- 40:00university, they have, they have a, they have a basketball.
- 40:03Oh, it's on. It's a smaller, Yeah, like,
- 40:06think Hoosiers. Yeah.
- 40:07Like it's very. It's small and it's like
- 40:09Hoosiers and they can't build out the gym.
- 40:11From what I understand, no, they can't because there's no land.
- 40:13Like the city won't let them do it because there's nowhere to,
- 40:15like, move it. So it makes sense if they're
- 40:18trying to get the Manhattan and Brooklyn people to be Johnny
- 40:21fans to play at MSG because they can just play, you know, they
- 40:24can just take the train and, you know, get off and be there.
- 40:27So obviously I'm talking to people in New York.
- 40:29You know how to get there. You know what I'm talking about.
- 40:31I have to talk to people that aren't from New York.
- 40:33So listen, you know I have to explain yet you can take the
- 40:35train. The only thing, the only thing
- 40:37that sucks about going to Saint John's game.
- 40:39And yes, like he was saying, there's really nowhere to sit
- 40:43and it's very hard to to get you.
- 40:44You have to cram yourself into that gym.
- 40:47But finding a parking spot is the worst over there.
- 40:51It is absolutely there's. No, you can't.
- 40:53Take a train there you. Know like you, can't you?
- 40:55Can get a train you know if you have to like the train's like 4
- 40:58miles away or three miles away or. 3 miles away and even taking
- 41:01a subway, you're still going to be a 2 1/2 miles away.
- 41:04So it's impossible. It's.
- 41:05Hard to get out now, you know. What you get it, you got to get
- 41:08electric scooter. That's you get an electric
- 41:13scooter or one of those bikes those.
- 41:15Motorbike you live in, that you're taking.
- 41:17Electric scooters in Saint John, Yeah.
- 41:19Listen, I mean, all you do is see people with those electric
- 41:23scooters now, especially in Manhattan, I mean.
- 41:27On our campus here, that's all you.
- 41:29See. Yeah.
- 41:30No, for real. Yeah, they're all over the place
- 41:32now, over here in New York. Not in New Orleans.
- 41:34That's not a thing here. Well, shameful.
- 41:37Shameful. Well, listen, you don't have to
- 41:39deal with Kelly anymore, so you're good.
- 41:43Boy, talk about it. That's a whole nother segment
- 41:45for a whole nother day. Things I hear about.
- 41:48That is bad. Well, Massage Watson might be
- 41:51hanging out with Brian Kelly. I mean, he's got the money now.
- 41:54I bet you they're money. I bet you they're boys.
- 41:58They got Brian's, Brian's, you know, massaging himself.
- 42:01And he's got, you know, a bunch of Chinese women doing it for
- 42:04him, too, $57 million richer, you know, So there you go.
- 42:08He doesn't have to work. Anymore life?
- 42:10What a hole. Isn't that it's finest?
- 42:12Absolutely. Anyways, just don't tell Rick.
- 42:14Pitino, he might get involved with that again, too.
- 42:16Danny, we got to get you on the show a little bit more often
- 42:18because you are fantastic and. Thank you.
- 42:21That's very. Kind I, I.
- 42:22Think you're like having? Fun with it, Yeah, Well,
- 42:24definitely. And hopefully you don't have.
- 42:26I'll make you a bet when he leaves and gets you off, he says
- 42:28we love you. We'd love to get you back on
- 42:30again cuz it's the same thing, he says to everybody.
- 42:32No, I don't. I don't say that to anybody.
- 42:34Who did I say that to? Who's gonna find?
- 42:37A guy we love you, we can't wait to get you back on again. 1st.
- 42:41Of all, find a guy who loves New York more than me, that's not
- 42:43from New York, has never lived in New York, has been there
- 42:47millions of times. Job is lying to you.
- 42:50I do not say that to everybody. I say that to a lot of.
- 42:53People you, you forget about the guys to attack The Jets then
- 42:55then they'll say, oh, you're been a pain in the ass
- 42:57sometimes. That's true, I do.
- 43:00But you have to understand where kindred spirits, I'm a Browns
- 43:04guy, he's a Jets guy. There's a kindred spirit of
- 43:07understanding each other and how we feel every.
- 43:09Yeah, it's called suck. That's what it calls.
- 43:11That's what it calls for. It's called Are we drinking the
- 43:13bleach or not? No, I, I, I'm definitely not.
- 43:17I'm not drinking the bleach or nuts.
- 43:19That's something that Massage Watson would be doing.
- 43:25Only females. Only females.
- 43:27Well, I don't know. I don't know.
- 43:30So we might hear some more things after his career is over.
- 43:32He's got a whole book to write. Anyways, Dan, like I said, we
- 43:37love you. I want to get you on a lot more
- 43:38sooner than usual. How about getting you on before
- 43:41the tournament? I mean, obviously the the NCAA
- 43:45tournament is the best. It's the best time of year.
- 43:48March, March Madness, let's get you on.
- 43:50Let's let's get you on for the whole show and we'll talk
- 43:53college basketball. How about that?
- 43:55I love it. That sounds great.
- 43:56And the draft. Don't forget the Draft 26 draft.
- 43:59Listen. Listen.
- 44:00I might be honest. We'll definitely have to do
- 44:02something before the draft because draft night is gonna be
- 44:04crazy for me. Well, I know before we should
- 44:06definitely. Do it.
- 44:06But why don't we go to the draft?
- 44:08How about that? How about that?
- 44:10Sounds great. I think we all should go to the
- 44:12draft. The draft this year.
- 44:14Barclays, Barclays, yes, oh, that definitely go.
- 44:18Why don't you come out here? Absolutely.
- 44:19Let's all. Go, I'm ready.
- 44:21Let's do the lights is on. The lights are on and you know
- 44:24Job is bald head. The reflection off of Job is
- 44:26bald head is on. We're all ready to go.
- 44:29We can all watch Brooklyn and we can all watch the Nets celebrate
- 44:31the draft eventually, somehow trade those guys in three years.
- 44:34He tastes himself. As he always says anyways, or.
- 44:38Another tow job. There is a tow job or?
- 44:41That one over like a Fardon church.
- 44:42Anyways, And like I said, we love you and let's get you on a
- 44:47lot sooner because it's been a year, man.
- 44:49It's it's been a long time and now you're doing college
- 44:51basketball. What's what's up with that?
- 44:53But I mean, you should be running your own organization
- 44:57and then hiring us. Well, I do.
- 44:58I'm the president of Scout Central.
- 45:00So like we, we, we contract with NBA teams to bring them
- 45:03information on. Contract.
- 45:04All right, all right, so there you go.
- 45:07Danny is rolling with the homies, as we all know Roland.
- 45:12Some really good people in the league.
- 45:13Remember, clueless. Remember.
- 45:14What was it? Clueless?
- 45:15Roland. What the He's a guy.
- 45:17Do that. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:18Do that one time. Do that one time.
- 45:21That's 30 years ago, yeah. Well, I'm an old man, man.
- 45:24We're getting up there in age, Danny.
- 45:26Us millennials bro, we had it good.
- 45:27Yeah, we did. We did.
- 45:29This garbage that's on television now is just, I want
- 45:31to throw up, I want to hurl, as we all say, but the news.
- 45:35I'm almost done watching brain rot with my 8 year old.
- 45:38I'm about done. Brain rot.
- 45:41It's what it's called. Well, Google it.
- 45:44It's called brain rot. It's.
- 45:45Google it. Well, guess what?
- 45:47November 26th is Stranger Things.
- 45:50So there you go. I mean, it's right around the
- 45:52corner. I'm sure everybody's excited for
- 45:54that. Not Jabba, but all of us.
- 45:56Yeah, Jabba's shaking his head. It's.
- 45:59Brain Rot, the combined show about Woody Johnson and Jimmy
- 46:01Haslam's brains. As long as she's using dude
- 46:04wipes and taking care of my 2 hole I'm good.
- 46:12Danny, what did I just? Walk into this This conversation
- 46:19went from the Boozer Twins. To Dude wipes.
- 46:24This makes my pecker hard. I gave up the booty.
- 46:32I'll let you lick my butt. Are you guys okay?
- 46:38Is everyone okay over there? I've got one getting to hour.
- 46:40What is this Hour 3? I got one for you.
- 46:42I got one for you. I.
- 46:43Had to take a shit. Anyways, Danny, we love you.
- 46:50Thank you. I will talk to you soon buddy.
- 46:52All right. I appreciate you guys.
- 46:53We'll see you all later. Danny Purcell, Dan Purcell, but
- 46:58I call him Danny. I think it flows better.
- 47:00It rolls off the tongue, Speedy. It doesn't roll off your tongue.
- 47:03It never does, but it definitely rolls off my tongue.
- 47:06Anyways, let's go into save your tears.
- 47:09Mom, what's one thing? That you can't talk to me about
- 47:13my sexual fantasies. Say yourself.
- 47:18It is not ideal, but if it's what it is not ideal.
- 47:20But if it is not ideal, but if it is, what you can't trouble a
- 47:24double stamp? You can't.
- 47:25Dribble stamp a double stamp, Lloyd.
- 47:26You can't dribble stamp a double stamp, Lloyd, you guys.
- 47:32Now it's time for save your tears.
- 47:37Welcome back to save your tears this.
- 47:40Is everyone's favorite game. We are going to go through the
- 47:42results once again in Week 11. Here we go and it is a another
- 47:47win. Speedy PD wow as.
- 47:53Speedy took it down. It was a low scoring affair
- 47:58across the board. We had to fill in RJ Harvey for
- 48:02everyone who took JK Dobbins in this one because he's out for
- 48:06the season. Didn't really make a difference.
- 48:08Chase Brown was the best running back that anyone picked.
- 48:11No one did well at quarterback. I guess Mahomes did the best
- 48:14putting Nathan into second place.
- 48:16Nathan. I'd crush it.
- 48:18In Save your Tears. Not enough tonight, though.
- 48:21Breaking news, a lot of hot ladies.
- 48:23Didn't get it done. No one got over 10 points that
- 48:27receive her. Smell my ass for.
- 48:29Jacoby Myers at 11. Bagel Hole.
- 48:32As well, Errol. Edges.
- 48:35Out job for 3rd place. Get into that FedEx Cup
- 48:39standings. Title.
- 48:41Do you want to jerk me off? So here we go.
- 48:44Last place goes first. Last place tonight given Speedy
- 48:49is compliment chorus Tommy poops.
- 48:51All right, Mr. Speedy PD man, I mean, I, I feel like you've been
- 48:57winning so much recently that I'm going to say once again, are
- 49:00we really even surprised? I mean, you are the man when it
- 49:02comes to analytics, statistics, and really you're about to
- 49:06you're putting the whooping on me right now in fantasy butt
- 49:09plug and a honestly, I couldn't be happier that it was you.
- 49:12It's you right now, holding the rain for.
- 49:14Really Yum Yum pretty. Dominant rain this past like
- 49:16month and a half I would say, so congratulations.
- 49:19Grow bug, You're the man. Grow bug.
- 49:21Pass Licker, keep on doing it. All right, moving on.
- 49:27Suck my indoor speedy. Great job again.
- 49:32It feels like I'm complimenting you every week at this point.
- 49:36You do so much good work here. You do good work for me and
- 49:38helping me out. I mean, they say the true greats
- 49:41are able to pull out wins, you know, in any situation.
- 49:45And that's that's what you did this week.
- 49:46Very low scoring week. Just, you know, just the right
- 49:50picks in every situation there just to pull it out Once again.
- 49:54Well done, Sir. All right.
- 49:58I'm up next man, Speedy, where do I?
- 50:02Begin. That's where.
- 50:06I start squishy. But at the.
- 50:08Time lick it and stick it. Speedy got that.
- 50:14Done ball bag, I hope. I didn't get.
- 50:17That everyone else in the standings like one of those
- 50:19Errol. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 50:22Took Nathan and said you know what?
- 50:26You wear the leash, Nathan. I want her melons that.
- 50:31Going else and he said. Oh my God.
- 50:33I. Know Nathan wants Brittany too.
- 50:37I need Brittany also. What a great job, Speedy.
- 50:42I got to go back off now. All right, next is Mr. Owarks.
- 50:50Oh, it's Jabba Jabba's. Next No, I oh.
- 50:53Yeah, sorry. No, Jabba.
- 50:54'S Jabba. Came in fourth then.
- 50:55Low 3rd that's. Right Yeah Speedy it's it's
- 51:00redundant, but yeah it's obviously the rest always rises
- 51:04to the top and do it again and diarrhea about you next time let
- 51:12me go after you so I can actually get in some points
- 51:15maybe your advice so I'm not even I'm not even in the wedding
- 51:21party I. Let you go second to last.
- 51:24The last time I got the shoes to go first, you went second to
- 51:26last that round. Well, shit, it ain't helping,
- 51:29man. I'm just you're going to have to
- 51:31give me. You're going to have to give it
- 51:32to me in the chat so I look. Like I know what I'm doing.
- 51:35Because you're by far the first one in here so.
- 51:37Whore bag. I'm going to keep looking up to
- 51:39you Speedy for. I look.
- 51:41For all of the things when it comes to winning at something
- 51:44because. Obviously, I eat my strange
- 51:46cheese. All right, the string she's
- 51:51serial killer himself is up next.
- 51:52He's a crybaby, all right. Well, besides Speedy's mistakes,
- 51:59which quite a few of them every single day, you know, Speedy's.
- 52:03Yeah, that's. I'm trying to be nice here, as
- 52:06we all say. He's been my right hand person,
- 52:09really over the last 10 years. He's worked with me for such a
- 52:13long time and all the work and dedication that he's been
- 52:17involved with, with the show and the product that we've been
- 52:20doing, I would say about 70% is all him.
- 52:25So his work ethic when he is on his game is impeccable.
- 52:31So I, I respect his, his knowledge.
- 52:34His knowledge is one of the best I've ever seen.
- 52:36And when we argue about sports in my car when I'm driving home
- 52:41with him and we're going back and forth with other things,
- 52:45it's nothing more than just comedy at its fullest.
- 52:48So Speedy is a unique individual that has a word for everything
- 52:54and an answer for many. So that's Speedy if it's if it's
- 52:59laughing because he. Knows what to hear about the
- 53:00other. Things.
- 53:01Oh. He chased himself, but.
- 53:07Then finish it off. Well, it seems like me and
- 53:09Speedy battle it out every week for savior tears.
- 53:12It out of my ass. He obviously beat me out.
- 53:15He beat me out this time and he beat me.
- 53:16He's been beating me in fantasy too.
- 53:18A couple. Times so streaks in my britches.
- 53:22I just want to say great. It's great working with you.
- 53:24You always kill it behind the scenes.
- 53:28Great job as a Co host on this joke and obviously I've been
- 53:31following you guys for a while before I joined you guys.
- 53:33So keep it up Speedy. You're the best and I hope.
- 53:36Not. Like I say, great working with
- 53:38you. Now, Nathan, can you can you do?
- 53:41Can you push Brian Chottenheimer to get CD Lamb 12 more points so
- 53:44I can win in the beefs league that.
- 53:46Could happen. That could easily happen tonight
- 53:48against the Raiders defense. Lives all.
- 53:51Right guys that anyone save your tears.
- 53:54We will play Week 12 on Wednesday.
- 53:56Thank you to all the fans that TuneIn to us on Apple and
- 54:00Spotify on the video end on the audio end on the YouTube end,
- 54:04drop in the mouth on the X on the TikTok and Instagram and on
- 54:11the Facebook Worldwide sports radio network.
- 54:13Keep checking out our articles on worldwide sports radio
- 54:16network. I I'm posting.
- 54:17I got one up on Tyrod Taylor right now.
- 54:20I was posting a bunch of stuff up speedy.
- 54:22One of my newest ones that I so. You did the, you did the
- 54:25Mendoza. Mendoza One.
- 54:26And my favorite one was the the New York sports owners.
- 54:29Check that one out. That one.
- 54:30I did this weekend. I was trying to figure out how
- 54:33could I attack what's going on in New York sports, and I said,
- 54:36you know what, I'm going to put an article together on the
- 54:40ownership of sports. Yep.
- 54:42And one more to top it off, the great Nico Harrison as well.
- 54:44And Nico Harrison that I think everybody will enjoy.
- 54:48Definitely enjoy that one for so you can.
- 54:50Also check out my venting yes Brian Dabel and Joe Shane which
- 54:55I. I'm going to write an article
- 54:56about bold ex pitchers and don't be surprised if Jabba's name is
- 55:04being thrown out there and the the future of this article.
- 55:08So be aware of my complications of bold pitchers that walk away
- 55:13from the sport of baseball. So yeah, so Java might be the
- 55:17lead guy on this story. So you know, I might attack my
- 55:21fellow Co host on this show. Anyways.
- 55:24Yeah, that's it for the show. Who do we have on Wednesdays?
- 55:27Mary, thanks to Nathan for getting this guy.
- 55:29Former Rockies, Yankees, Pirates and Astros pitcher and now the
- 55:31head coach of the Trenton Thunder, Sean Chacon will be
- 55:34joining. Us Oh, Jabba's favorite.
- 55:36That's a good one. That's a that's a slam dunk.
- 55:39Hands free. You know, Jabba, you're you're
- 55:42ready to go. You're ready to go and eat some
- 55:43food. I know you're probably ready to
- 55:45do something. It looks like he's about to
- 55:47meditate. He looks like he's about to RIP
- 55:49my head off my body. It looks frozen.
- 55:53I don't know. No.
- 55:54He's not frozen. You sure?
- 55:56Yeah. It looks a little frozen to me.
- 55:58He's sitting. I see him breathing, so I guess
- 56:00he's not. Anyways, that's it for a show.
- 56:03Ladies and gentlemen, we'll see you on Wednesday.
- 56:06Good night. It.
- 56:07It is the Worldwide Sports Radio network.
- 56:09Radio Network. Radio Network.
