- 0:44Speaker 1: You know, if I had planned better, I wanted to
- 0:47Speaker 1: do what's the ship on Game of Thrones and ship
- 0:51Speaker 1: the motherfuckers with the white hair the Valorians.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Uh yeah, isn't isn't it?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Aren't they?
- 0:57Speaker 2: The Valorians with the white Yeah? That would people would
- 1:02Speaker 2: have thought you was storm. They wouldn't knew if I
- 1:06Speaker 2: had a dragon. Though.
- 1:08Speaker 1: If I had a dragon, your motherfuck is better. Now
- 1:12Speaker 1: let me get a dragon in real life. I'mnna be
- 1:14Speaker 1: your car stating all over this bitch, your coddas.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I'm not dressing up as ship. I'm not doing nothing.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna pass. I think I'm gonna like I saw
- 1:25Speaker 2: this tutorial how to make a three D spider on
- 1:28Speaker 2: your eye with an eyeliner with make up. Yeah, I'm
- 1:31Speaker 2: gonna do that. And I'm just gonna sit on the
- 1:33Speaker 2: porch with my mama. I'm gonna smoke a little weed.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna get all around the house and the kids
- 1:38Speaker 2: gonna get on and be like, why are you a costume?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Smell like marijuana. I'm gonna go on the side of
- 1:44Speaker 2: the house. And then I would come back and sit
- 1:45Speaker 2: on the porch with my mama passed. I can.
- 1:49Speaker 1: These kids be big as hall tricky treat And I
- 1:50Speaker 1: guess that's how we looked because I definitely was in
- 1:53Speaker 1: middle school still going to get my kids.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yell, yeah, I'm going to get my candy. It's not
- 1:59Speaker 2: the same anymore though. Like when we were kids, so
- 2:01Speaker 2: many people would knock on your door. It's not like
- 2:04Speaker 2: that now.
- 2:04Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And it's just not safe for real. You know, you
- 2:08Speaker 2: gotta go out with your kids.
- 2:10Speaker 1: You can't like we used to just be in a
- 2:11Speaker 1: big ass groups yep, and go.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Dark as hell. Latest latest hell at night.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Door to door, still knocking on people door for candy.
- 2:21Speaker 1: The park in the neighborhood I grew up in that,
- 2:23Speaker 1: my mom still lives in. It used to be a
- 2:25Speaker 1: graveyard back in the day. So we would all and.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It be pitch black out there.
- 2:29Speaker 1: We would be running through that fucking park at night
- 2:32Speaker 1: because it's a lot of open spaces in the back,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's just trees.
- 2:36Speaker 4: He I don't know, Mama, I mean smoking Mama for Halloween.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That's right, that's yeah, take your wing off. You got
- 2:57Speaker 2: some nappy brains over there are real girl. You do
- 3:01Speaker 2: not know my life. Okay, Actually I don't have no
- 3:04Speaker 2: brains underneath this bitch.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I got my hair slicked back in a ponytail and
- 3:08Speaker 1: little one little ponytail.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Let's get into sins.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So y'all, I know everybody's seen Derek got arrested, laud.
- 3:22Speaker 1: They running these young niggas, do the ringer. But do
- 3:25Speaker 1: you think this is the beginning of a new era
- 3:28Speaker 1: for hip hop?
- 3:29Speaker 3: In a way?
- 3:30Speaker 1: You got the young Thug trial that's ongoing, which I
- 3:32Speaker 1: think is about to be a mistrial because the state
- 3:35Speaker 1: just wasn't prepared to try them Okay, you got a
- 3:38Speaker 1: lot of people who got off you guys, some people
- 3:40Speaker 1: who actually took plea deals. My advice to all y'all
- 3:43Speaker 1: young niggas out here doing shit, always take that shit
- 3:45Speaker 1: to trial.
- 3:46Speaker 3: The more you take it the trial, we're going to kind.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Of like back the system up a little bit at
- 3:50Speaker 1: least give y'all. I guess some of y'all niggas some time.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I got some advice for y'all. Stop telling on y'all.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Motherfucker itself and the songs.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Like that far Yeah, I killed a nigga on Thursday fifteen.
- 4:05Speaker 2: It's like they're making their killing each other the half
- 4:07Speaker 2: content essentially.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That's what it is. That is what the drill music
- 4:12Speaker 1: is about. It's about it's about doing the things, and
- 4:14Speaker 1: they're rapping about it. So I think it's that era
- 4:17Speaker 1: is coming to an end, right, because that is like
- 4:19Speaker 1: the Chicago shit.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's also New York ship too. That drill
- 4:23Speaker 2: sound is also very New York too. Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But yeah, So Dirk Is is being held on federal
- 4:31Speaker 1: bond excuse me, no bond.
- 4:34Speaker 3: He's being held by the Freds with no bond for
- 4:37Speaker 3: murder for hire.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And it's like retaliation, right.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, So I just don't understand why these guys want
- 4:47Speaker 1: to get out the hood.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Oh maybe they don't.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Maybe they just want a lot of money but still
- 4:50Speaker 1: be affiliated and associated with hoodshit. Because I'm just like,
- 4:55Speaker 1: you risk your life to get to this point to
- 4:57Speaker 1: still be doing the dumb shit that can take you
- 5:00Speaker 1: you back to where you came from.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so what's his face? Okay, what's his face? What's
- 5:04Speaker 2: his name?
- 5:04Speaker 3: Because he made a statement, Oh, Kwando Rundo.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you saw the statement that he made and
- 5:14Speaker 2: I hope it's well received by the two, but it's
- 5:17Speaker 2: probably not, but I would hope. So he basically was
- 5:21Speaker 2: trying to piece it out like I ain't even we
- 5:24Speaker 2: we did all of this to get out the hood
- 5:25Speaker 2: and we're still doing hood shit and like people going
- 5:27Speaker 2: to jail and people dying and enough is enough. But
- 5:32Speaker 2: you know, I mean, if if he did it, is
- 5:36Speaker 2: he wrong to be in jail? People? All Right? So
- 5:38Speaker 2: here's the thing. There's this hood code that's like, oh,
- 5:40Speaker 2: free my nigga whoever, Right, But if your nigga whoever
- 5:45Speaker 2: was really committing crimes out here, do they deserve to
- 5:49Speaker 2: be free? That's the question.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't know, man, A lot of people need to
- 5:56Speaker 1: be in jail. A lot of lot of people need
- 5:59Speaker 1: to be yeah, and especially people who are financing younger
- 6:05Speaker 1: people to crash out right, So you sitting up on
- 6:09Speaker 1: the throne and then you're you're giving all these little
- 6:12Speaker 1: boys a low couple dollars to make these other boys
- 6:16Speaker 1: daddies cry mm hmm, I mean the other Yeah, like
- 6:20Speaker 1: somebody's gonna cry. Moms crying, daddy's crying there, they have children,
- 6:24Speaker 1: They're crying, like what we doing?
- 6:27Speaker 2: But the music is just ah, some of this music
- 6:30Speaker 2: is so dark. It's just like people are losing their humanity.
- 6:35Speaker 2: That's what it seems like. The music is like pushing
- 6:38Speaker 2: the envelope and making people lose their humanity. Some of
- 6:41Speaker 2: the comments you see on social media, it's like, damn,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you know you all are talking about real people, right,
- 6:47Speaker 2: These are real human lives that have been taken.
- 6:50Speaker 3: And why you gotta be us making this type of music.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Right, No other culture is making music about killing each
- 6:55Speaker 2: other the way death music.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah, gotta be careful, man, with the tongue is a wawn.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It is a magic one and I think y'all don't
- 7:08Speaker 2: realize it. We be cursing ourselves.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yep.
- 7:12Speaker 1: So really like this is what was supposed to happen
- 7:15Speaker 1: for him, like he wrote it. It was written literally
- 7:18Speaker 1: written and spoken.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Did you see the video from a million dollars worth
- 7:25Speaker 2: of game where I don't be knowing niggas name?
- 7:30Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 7:32Speaker 2: I follow? He He was like basically in tears talking
- 7:37Speaker 2: about how he had to let go of he had
- 7:42Speaker 2: to forgive and let go of the hurt for someone
- 7:45Speaker 2: murdering his loved one so he could be there for
- 7:48Speaker 2: their kids, so he could be there for his loved
- 7:50Speaker 2: one's children and still be around because if he didn't
- 7:53Speaker 2: let that go, he wouldn't And he was trying to
- 7:56Speaker 2: encourage them to not to retaliate, not to do these things.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And here we are, yeah.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Because you know, people talk so much about women and
- 8:05Speaker 1: how emotional we is. And I say this all the time,
- 8:07Speaker 1: like when men get emotional, somebody.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Dies, Like y'all literally run here.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Writing poems about each other and how you're gonna get
- 8:15Speaker 1: this person up out of here? Like why are you
- 8:17Speaker 1: so fixated on them that much? Like they're taking up
- 8:20Speaker 1: that much space in your mind?
- 8:22Speaker 5: Right?
- 8:24Speaker 1: I don't want to kill nobody I don't want somebody
- 8:26Speaker 1: up out of here that bad now.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Y'all molester and shit like that.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah, we need to those are the type of people. Yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 2: we collectively we should be getting together. But man, this
- 8:35Speaker 2: hood shit, y'all banging about neighborhoods. Y'all don't own no property.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Y'all just runing there bringing out a property value as
- 8:42Speaker 1: far as I'm concerned.
- 8:43Speaker 3: But no, there's no.
- 8:44Speaker 1: No real y'all not really dying for nothing. I can
- 8:48Speaker 1: give y'all niggas something to die for. That's what you need.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Let's let's get let's get organizal cues. Yes, if you want.
- 8:55Speaker 3: To crash out, hit me up. If you a crash dummy,
- 9:01Speaker 3: email me at. We talked back EU T dot call.
- 9:04Speaker 2: We got a job for you, EIL. Yes, a person's email.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It's a yeah, like hit us up or hit me up.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I got a job for you. Because this ain't it.
- 9:17Speaker 2: What y'all doing, ain't it. There's no benefit. So Nick
- 9:22Speaker 2: Cannon did the Ray Daniels podcast and he said that
- 9:27Speaker 2: he felt insecure towards Mariah Carey. He got married. He said,
- 9:31Speaker 2: I got married in my twenties to the biggest star
- 9:33Speaker 2: in the World, The Masked Singer host forty four, Nick
- 9:37Speaker 2: Cannon said, calling Carry's level of fame on a different
- 9:41Speaker 2: stratosphere from his own. I would lay up at night
- 9:44Speaker 2: thinking like, is this who I am? My Mariah Carey's man?
- 9:49Speaker 2: Is that what my life is supposed to be? The
- 9:52Speaker 2: rappers doubts heightened after Carrie fifty five gave birth to
- 9:55Speaker 2: their now thirteen year old twins, Moroccan and Monroe in
- 9:59Speaker 2: two thousand and I'm carrying a purse, the diaper bag,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and you know, I'm standing on the corner like wait,
- 10:05Speaker 2: the all that Alum said of their family hierarchy at
- 10:08Speaker 2: the time, she's rocking. She's rocking being the alpha can
- 10:13Speaker 2: and continue clarifying that his ex wife deserves that role
- 10:16Speaker 2: in a relationship. I believe she needs a dude like that,
- 10:19Speaker 2: he said. I'm just not that dude. Men need to
- 10:23Speaker 2: be oftentimes the alpha in the relationship to not feel
- 10:27Speaker 2: emasculated by a woman.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think it's a woman's job to
- 10:31Speaker 1: make you feel like a man like a man is just.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Just is right.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So he has to be comfortable within him his own self.
- 10:41Speaker 1: There's nothing I can do to make him more comfortable
- 10:44Speaker 1: with him. You know, so Mariah Carey just being Mariah Carey.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You saw who Mariah Carey was before you go.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Exactly before you engage that lady, you knew she was
- 10:56Speaker 2: a princess. And now you got the princess, and you
- 11:02Speaker 2: want to treat the princess like shet the princess like no, like.
- 11:06Speaker 3: This is what happens, this is what you're gonna get.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So, I mean, I think a lot of women experience
- 11:12Speaker 1: or have experienced men who, you know, they say they
- 11:15Speaker 1: want these strong women, they say they want these beautiful
- 11:18Speaker 1: women that get a lot of attention.
- 11:21Speaker 2: They say that's what they want until they actually get
- 11:23Speaker 2: it right. I know someone personally who's going through that.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like he was dating a woman who's the daughter of
- 11:32Speaker 2: a very famous comedian here in the States, and he
- 11:38Speaker 2: they went on a date. I don't know if I
- 11:40Speaker 2: should even tell this story, but I keep it light.
- 11:44Speaker 2: They went on a date and basically someone wanted like
- 11:47Speaker 2: a photo with her, and he took the photo, and
- 11:50Speaker 2: that person it says something along the line is like,
- 11:53Speaker 2: oh you got that nigga train, ain't it or something?
- 11:55Speaker 2: But like in a joking manner, I'm assuming in a
- 11:57Speaker 2: joking manner, and he felt very emasculated by that and
- 12:01Speaker 2: just felt like he couldn't be with this person because
- 12:05Speaker 2: of who's basically who she was and what she had
- 12:09Speaker 2: going on.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I mean, she didn't say the thing. I can see
- 12:12Speaker 1: why a man would get upset about that, though she
- 12:14Speaker 1: didn't say it. Somebody else, I guess scoping the scene
- 12:17Speaker 1: and came to that conclusion that he's a puppy.
- 12:20Speaker 3: But if that were my man, like, you can't say
- 12:23Speaker 3: that to him?
- 12:24Speaker 2: Like what girl?
- 12:25Speaker 1: He just taking a picture like I got him trained. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I would take offense to that for him, like he
- 12:30Speaker 1: wouldn't have to say nothing. He wouldn't be made to
- 12:34Speaker 1: feel like he couldn't say anything either, Like I can
- 12:36Speaker 1: understand why a man wouldn't appreciate that somebody saying that
- 12:39Speaker 1: to him and then me not defending him or him.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Maybe he felt like he should have said something in
- 12:45Speaker 1: the moment and didn't.
- 12:48Speaker 2: No, I mean, I get it. I mean I personally
- 12:52Speaker 2: don't think I would have thought much of.
- 12:54Speaker 3: It, like a stranger saying you me and you.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Both know what time it is. You know, It's just
- 12:59Speaker 2: I guess it does lean on what he felt already right. God, yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 2: I think that played more of a role in it
- 13:06Speaker 2: than this actual statement by some random person asking for
- 13:09Speaker 2: a picture, Like what they talking about They don't know
- 13:11Speaker 2: what the dynamic of our relationship is, but do you?
- 13:15Speaker 2: Because this struck a nerve for a reason. You know
- 13:18Speaker 2: what if that person would have went on and went
- 13:20Speaker 2: to social media and it was like.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah I saw someone so in her puppy, Trina just
- 13:25Speaker 3: did it.
- 13:26Speaker 1: See, I mean, what's the difference then, like when we
- 13:30Speaker 1: talked about what Trina was saying about her husband now husband,
- 13:33Speaker 1: like just the way in which then she is saying
- 13:36Speaker 1: that though, so she said it.
- 13:38Speaker 2: You know, yeah, the woman he was dating didn't say
- 13:41Speaker 2: that to.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Him, right, But I think, yeah, he should have took
- 13:44Speaker 1: it out on her, right, She couldn't control what other
- 13:47Speaker 1: people was doing.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I you know, I told him it was I think
- 13:50Speaker 2: that this was an ego thing. I think it was
- 13:52Speaker 2: a huge ego play right there. And he was like,
- 13:55Speaker 2: perhaps I got.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Though, right, man, get the fuck about it there.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So, y'all, Shack reveals why he doesn't consider texting or
- 14:07Speaker 1: emotional affairs as cheating. It shouldn't matter what I'm doing
- 14:10Speaker 1: on my phone quote unquote do you agree with that?
- 14:14Speaker 2: The United States government apparently agrees because if you go
- 14:17Speaker 2: up at the nigga poe and I have permission, you
- 14:19Speaker 2: going to jail.
- 14:23Speaker 3: My yo, goddad business.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I disagree. Emotional affair is worse than a physical one.
- 14:30Speaker 2: To me, it don't there. Yeah, it don't always start there.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It starts there for women. For women, it starts there.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Men have physical affairs and it don't mean nothing. Here'll
- 14:42Speaker 2: go forty dollars, I pay you to go away. But
- 14:46Speaker 2: once you start communicating with a woman and having an
- 14:48Speaker 2: emotional connection with this woman and being vulnerable and sharing
- 14:52Speaker 2: how bad your day was with this bitch and why
- 14:54Speaker 2: you're on like your bitch at the house, wh I
- 14:57Speaker 2: ever catch a nigga talking about me? To the next
- 14:59Speaker 2: metaph fact, a nigga has I went.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Back in my Facebook messages to two thousand and nine
- 15:05Speaker 1: and I this bitch was stalking me about this nigga
- 15:07Speaker 1: I was fucking with at the time, and girl I
- 15:10Speaker 1: was rereading the message out loud in my homegirl, and
- 15:13Speaker 1: the girl in the message, she was like, hey, big nose,
- 15:19Speaker 1: that's what she said to me.
- 15:22Speaker 2: But that I mean he said to her that no,
- 15:26Speaker 2: not that.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying, like that was so funny rereading that,
- 15:29Speaker 1: how many years later now, But no, in the messages,
- 15:31Speaker 1: she was saying, oh yeah, and he'd be telling me
- 15:33Speaker 1: how you be trying to change out he dressed. At
- 15:36Speaker 1: that moment, I knew he was talking shit, right because
- 15:39Speaker 1: this nigga was wearing cross colors and shit. And I'm
- 15:42Speaker 1: out here with a nice peak HOAt on, like, nigga,
- 15:44Speaker 1: I need a man who dresses like an adult.
- 15:46Speaker 2: So, yeah, I used to be some of our discussions.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I guess was this cross coming well fat Albert shit?
- 15:54Speaker 3: You know those like when Kuji kind of came back.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah, like when.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Kuji no like the Kougie color, remember Kooji he kind
- 16:00Speaker 1: of came back. And this had to been like what
- 16:02Speaker 1: two thousand and five, something like that ioie jacket. Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: Like he was wearing all that clown shit. And I'm like, man,
- 16:10Speaker 1: you're a grown man. Like, yeah, we in our twenties,
- 16:13Speaker 1: but I liked, I like how grown men dress, So
- 16:16Speaker 1: I just would you could do both. You know, I'm
- 16:18Speaker 1: not saying you gotta do like this, do this all
- 16:20Speaker 1: the time, but guess how he dressed now today, like
- 16:24Speaker 1: a grown man Okay. Yeah, so niggas just don't know
- 16:27Speaker 1: what's good for them and she was a hood rat. Okay,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I was arguing with a bitch who has six kids
- 16:32Speaker 1: and six baby daddies and he wasn't one of them.
- 16:35Speaker 2: But I also agree. I disagree, and I agree with
- 16:40Speaker 2: Scheck because don't go on my phone. Yeah, absolutely, But
- 16:44Speaker 2: I want to be so in love with my man
- 16:46Speaker 2: that there's nothing there for you to find, sir, There'll
- 16:50Speaker 2: be nothing there because I'm just so in love with
- 16:52Speaker 2: this woman. I hate that about me though. When I
- 16:56Speaker 2: love a nigga, I'll be in love with his ass.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Ooh wee, what another nigga gotta say to me?
- 17:05Speaker 3: You lying.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Girl?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Fuck you yo, I'd be in love and single, like
- 17:16Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck you talking about. I
- 17:19Speaker 1: gotta keep the fratnizing going just a little tiny bit.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And I'm only saying this right now because my nigga
- 17:24Speaker 1: ain't home. But you gotta know that about me, and
- 17:28Speaker 1: I know that about him. I know if I go
- 17:30Speaker 1: on that nigga phone, I'm gonna se some shit. I
- 17:32Speaker 1: don't want to see you, so I would never my
- 17:34Speaker 1: homegirl showed me this weekend. Did you know that you
- 17:36Speaker 1: can set your iPhone on top of another iPhone and
- 17:38Speaker 1: they connect. So now your screen is on my phone,
- 17:41Speaker 1: Like I can go through your phone right quick, but
- 17:44Speaker 1: on my phone.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I didn't know it did that. Yeah, I know they connect.
- 17:48Speaker 2: I know they can like zap each other or some shit.
- 17:51Speaker 1: No not not sending like the air drop, but not
- 17:54Speaker 1: an air drop.
- 17:55Speaker 2: No share information like when you put them on top
- 18:00Speaker 2: of each other.
- 18:01Speaker 1: She put her phone on top of mind and her
- 18:04Speaker 1: screen was on my phone.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Oh bitch, I'm gonna try that, like her.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Screensaver, shit was on my phone, like any I don't
- 18:15Speaker 1: want to do that. I'm afraid to go through people shit,
- 18:18Speaker 1: so I will never see if a man is emotionally
- 18:20Speaker 1: cheating on me. I do think emotional cheating is worse
- 18:23Speaker 1: than actually physically cheating, because I think that's next, right,
- 18:27Speaker 1: depending on how strong the feelings become from just talking,
- 18:30Speaker 1: because talking is very intimate.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I think if a man is emotionally cheating on you,
- 18:36Speaker 2: he's probably already physically cheated. For men.
- 18:39Speaker 1: For women, we be talking up a storm for NASA,
- 18:41Speaker 1: like yeah, I'm gonna see you a lying okay. We
- 18:44Speaker 1: just like we just like the attention a little bit
- 18:46Speaker 1: TENSI horrid just to know.
- 18:47Speaker 2: We still got it. Yeah, Am I gonna actually fuck
- 18:51Speaker 2: on this dude? Probably not, but I like to know
- 18:54Speaker 2: that you want to fuck me a little bit. No,
- 18:56Speaker 2: that's wrong what you're talking about. So Shaq then says,
- 19:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna end up alone. Duh.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I already know.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It because y'all be making rules up as you go along.
- 19:09Speaker 1: There is no handbook on how to be the perfect
- 19:11Speaker 1: man or a perfect husband, and y'all be making sit
- 19:14Speaker 1: up without telling us. He added, I'm not physically seeing
- 19:20Speaker 1: somebody me the diesel, and I'm with you every day,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and you know my schedule. It shouldn't matter what I'm
- 19:29Speaker 1: doing on my phone. It's not cheating. And then you
- 19:32Speaker 1: can't tell me that's worse than cheating.
- 19:35Speaker 3: It's not.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I just don't understand that, he confessed. I already know
- 19:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna end up being alone.
- 19:43Speaker 2: He's speaking that over the power of the tongue. The
- 19:45Speaker 2: tongue is imagine why you're speaking that for your life,
- 19:49Speaker 2: So you're probably gonna be right.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he's gonna wait, and he's gonna find he's gonna
- 19:52Speaker 1: be a hospice husband. He's gonna find a woman to
- 19:55Speaker 1: take care of him when he get real old dick
- 19:57Speaker 1: ain't working, and then now you want to you want
- 19:59Speaker 1: somebody to be in love with you, You want a caretaker.
- 20:02Speaker 1: That's a lot of men with means dom around. Yeah,
- 20:08Speaker 1: they play around, and I guess he thinks he has
- 20:11Speaker 1: everything right.
- 20:12Speaker 3: It's just like this.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Is why I be saying them niggas only deserve the
- 20:16Speaker 1: bitches they have before they have money.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Like Shaq, what type of niggas, Big goofy Shack.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I mean, look the type of bitches Big goofy Shack
- 20:24Speaker 2: would have been getting without no money. I always think
- 20:27Speaker 2: about that joke. Bolls broke another one, broken another one,
- 20:37Speaker 2: shout out the shack.
- 20:38Speaker 1: We went to goofy ass. I like Shack though, shock
- 20:41Speaker 1: funny as hell. So Shaq might might get the bitches.
- 20:44Speaker 2: If he ain't had no money, because hopefully he'll so
- 20:46Speaker 2: be like funny and hell, But Shack, I don't know.
- 20:51Speaker 3: That's the way I get me.
- 20:52Speaker 2: If you can make me laugh, you could be ugly.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I'd be like, he's kind of look like I'm trying
- 20:57Speaker 2: to compare him to somebody who is fine.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And don't.
- 21:03Speaker 2: And don't look like that don't look nothing like that nigga,
- 21:06Speaker 2: but he's funny, so he's starting to look better.
- 21:09Speaker 3: All right, y'all.
- 21:10Speaker 1: So since it's Halloween, we just want to get into
- 21:12Speaker 1: some a little storytelling the artist storytelling and maybe tell
- 21:17Speaker 1: us some stories of our own.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Tim Yeah, let's talk about it. I found like a
- 21:21Speaker 2: guy from South Carolina who does storytelling, so we're gonna
- 21:26Speaker 2: have him on in a second. He's gonna tell a
- 21:28Speaker 2: story for us in just a second book. Who come back?
- 21:37Speaker 2: All right, guys, we're back, and it's Halloween. As we
- 21:40Speaker 2: said earlier, and we you know, we had to do
- 21:43Speaker 2: a spooky episode for Halloween, so we invited a very
- 21:47Speaker 2: special guest on today, Darien McLeod. He is a storyteller
- 21:54Speaker 2: from South Carolina, and he's gonna share about storytelling with
- 21:57Speaker 2: us and share some spooky stories. Welcome Darien. How you doing.
- 22:02Speaker 6: I'm good. Thanks for having me on, Thanks for inviting me, Thank.
- 22:05Speaker 2: You for coming. I know short notice, I was hunting
- 22:07Speaker 2: you down, I was blowing you up.
- 22:09Speaker 6: You were you get an ad for effort like this?
- 22:15Speaker 6: What is gone? But it's cool. I've been there, I
- 22:19Speaker 6: know how that goes. It's it's cool, But you definitely
- 22:21Speaker 6: get an ad for effort.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Thank you. Tell us in our audience about yourself and
- 22:26Speaker 2: how you got in the storytelling.
- 22:28Speaker 6: Well, I'm an artist based out of Columbia, South Carolina,
- 22:32Speaker 6: and I've been telling the stories now thirty one thirty
- 22:37Speaker 6: two years. And actually my official training is as a
- 22:43Speaker 6: visual artist. I have a degree of visual art from
- 22:46Speaker 6: the University of South Carolina. And I was doing what
- 22:52Speaker 6: everybody does. I was out there struggling, you know, working
- 22:55Speaker 6: at the local Army Navy store, which was a very
- 22:57Speaker 6: good gig at the time, paid no money, but the
- 23:00Speaker 6: people were cool. We had a good time. But I
- 23:04Speaker 6: needed a gig. I needed some I need some bennies,
- 23:07Speaker 6: I need some health benefits, you know what I mean.
- 23:09Speaker 6: So I we had a new library system that was
- 23:13Speaker 6: opening opening up here in Columbia at that time, and
- 23:18Speaker 6: I went and applied at the library system, applied in
- 23:23Speaker 6: every department because I needed a gig, and I got
- 23:27Speaker 6: an interview with a children's apartment, which is a whole
- 23:31Speaker 6: story in and of itself, which we're going to some
- 23:34Speaker 6: other day. I got an interview and I dugg them
- 23:37Speaker 6: and they dug me, and they said, Okay, we want
- 23:40Speaker 6: to hire you, but can you tell stories at our
- 23:42Speaker 6: big storytelling festival. They have a big storytelling festival called
- 23:46Speaker 6: Augusta Baker's Dozen every year, and Augusta Baker was what
- 23:51Speaker 6: I used to call She used to be the grand
- 23:54Speaker 6: Dam of storytelling. She was a librarian out of New
- 23:58Speaker 6: York City who had moved to Columbia, South Carolina to
- 24:02Speaker 6: be closer to her son, and so the library used
- 24:05Speaker 6: to have what still does have a festival and a
- 24:08Speaker 6: storytelling festival in her honor every year. I said, oh, yeah, no, yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 6: no problem. I had no idea what they were talking about,
- 24:15Speaker 6: but I knew I needed a gig, right, So I
- 24:19Speaker 6: got the gig and I researched it, like I started
- 24:22Speaker 6: looking at. I remember one of the first storytellers I
- 24:24Speaker 6: looked at was a woman who's passed on now, was
- 24:27Speaker 6: a fabulous storyteller, woman named Jackie Jackie Torrence. And I
- 24:32Speaker 6: saw what she did, and I said, oh, yo, that's
- 24:35Speaker 6: what Steve used to do. I played high school football
- 24:38Speaker 6: with this kid named Steve Wise, who was still one
- 24:41Speaker 6: of the greatest storytellers I have ever heard. He would
- 24:45Speaker 6: tell stories about Pop Worner football and make it sound
- 24:49Speaker 6: like it was Monday Night NFL. You know, he tells
- 24:52Speaker 6: these stories about seven and eight year old and you'd
- 24:55Speaker 6: just be sitting there with your mouth a gape, you know, like,
- 24:58Speaker 6: and I said, oh, yo, that's what Steve's to do,
- 25:00Speaker 6: So I can do that. I can do that. So
- 25:04Speaker 6: I told at the festival that's my first time telling,
- 25:08Speaker 6: and people kind of dug me. So from there, people
- 25:12Speaker 6: started asking me, Hey, would you come telling my classroom? Hey,
- 25:16Speaker 6: would you come to my school? Hey, would you come
- 25:18Speaker 6: to my library? Hey would you come to my festival?
- 25:20Speaker 6: Would you come to my church? And next thing, you know,
- 25:22Speaker 6: it's just kind of snowballed, and I was telling the
- 25:25Speaker 6: stories all over the place like memorial services and radio
- 25:30Speaker 6: and TV and the interwebs. Yeah, and it's it's it's
- 25:37Speaker 6: been really cool. It's been life changing. That led me.
- 25:39Speaker 6: I'm also an actor director. Storytelling led me to the
- 25:44Speaker 6: stage also as an actor and a director. It's been good.
- 25:47Speaker 6: It's been it's been a while. It's been a wild ride,
- 25:50Speaker 6: but it's been a good ride, A real cool ride.
- 25:54Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I just say, are you LeVar Burton that type
- 25:58Speaker 3: of character?
- 25:59Speaker 6: I'm good, right, But it's funny that you say that right,
- 26:03Speaker 6: because Okay, so when I first started, you know, I
- 26:07Speaker 6: was doing story times with the library, and I was
- 26:10Speaker 6: and the kids, little kids would come and they would
- 26:12Speaker 6: get confused, and they were asking me. There was a
- 26:16Speaker 6: whole generation of kids who thought I was LeVar Burton.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Was funny really And after a while I was like, no,
- 26:23Speaker 6: but LeVar needs to start seeing some of these.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Checks exactly down for him, exactly so the artist.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Storytelling is probably one of humanity's like most important arts
- 26:40Speaker 1: as far as I'm concerned, especially like with politics and
- 26:44Speaker 1: the things that are going on right now, I feel
- 26:46Speaker 1: like we like we're like in a pivotal, pivotal moment
- 26:50Speaker 1: in history. Tell our listeners like some of the key
- 26:55Speaker 1: elements that make storytelling so powerful?
- 26:59Speaker 6: What is many things? Like you brought up politics. One
- 27:02Speaker 6: of the things about politics. One of the big things
- 27:03Speaker 6: about politics. It is storytelling. It's being able to tell
- 27:07Speaker 6: your opponent or your story, being able to tell people
- 27:12Speaker 6: a story about yourself, the story about your opponent. Think
- 27:14Speaker 6: about it. The culture is held in the stories we
- 27:19Speaker 6: know about the past. We know about the present. We
- 27:22Speaker 6: could dream about the future because the stories before we
- 27:26Speaker 6: could speak, we were drawing pictures on cave walls were
- 27:30Speaker 6: pointing to the sky and grunting and gesturing and trying
- 27:35Speaker 6: to tell the next person where the good hunting grounds were.
- 27:41Speaker 6: Now we have there's so many forms of storytelling, from
- 27:46Speaker 6: journalism to film, I was about to say, to podcasting,
- 27:52Speaker 6: to theater, to dance, to art, visual art, you name it.
- 27:58Speaker 6: We're always trying to tell our story.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I saw in an interview that you did when you
- 28:06Speaker 1: mentioned your studies, but you also mentioned Santa Ria. So
- 28:11Speaker 1: are you and a cult practitioner.
- 28:16Speaker 6: I'm not okay, you did a little bit of homework.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I need That's the type of stuff I'm into anyway,
- 28:21Speaker 2: So that's why I was asking.
- 28:23Speaker 6: Okay, cool I have. I have a lot of friends
- 28:26Speaker 6: who are EFI and who were who practiced Sria and
- 28:33Speaker 6: know all about their research. So as a storyteller, one
- 28:37Speaker 6: of the things I think about storytellers is we're curious.
- 28:40Speaker 6: We're curious people, so we always want to know this.
- 28:43Speaker 6: And as a child it was up for me it
- 28:46Speaker 6: was Greek mythology and Norse mythology, and then when I
- 28:49Speaker 6: got older, Egyptian mythology became available to me. And then
- 28:53Speaker 6: as I got older, all of a sudden, I started
- 28:56Speaker 6: meeting people who are practicing Santria and started to meet
- 29:01Speaker 6: reading about the Risha and a little bit of Asian mythology,
- 29:07Speaker 6: so all of that kind of meat mixes together. So yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 6: like yeah, yeah, yeah those some of the stories are incredible,
- 29:16Speaker 6: you know, incredible, Like my personal favorite is Shango I love,
- 29:23Speaker 6: you know, the guy to fund that, you know. But
- 29:26Speaker 6: uh yeah, So there's every culture. Every group of people
- 29:31Speaker 6: has their stories. Every group of people no matter where
- 29:34Speaker 6: they are. You go anywhere in the world and that
- 29:38Speaker 6: group of people have their stories. In some parts of
- 29:40Speaker 6: the world, stories were currency. We could trade, we could bother.
- 29:45Speaker 6: You could feed me a meal if I can tell
- 29:48Speaker 6: you good story. You know, and I'm not speaking just
- 29:51Speaker 6: parts of Africa, Asia, the troubadours of Europe. You know,
- 29:56Speaker 6: they were really stories. And if you got caught telling
- 29:58Speaker 6: someone else's story, you can get a lot of trouble.
- 30:00Speaker 6: That can happen now. But the same thing happens now
- 30:03Speaker 6: when we go to the movies. I'm gonna we don't
- 30:06Speaker 6: think of the movies as a story, but for two
- 30:08Speaker 6: hours we sit there and we watch these actors play
- 30:13Speaker 6: out a story before our eyes. We bar, we give
- 30:16Speaker 6: them x amount of dollars fifteen twenty dollars. We sit
- 30:20Speaker 6: there and it's a big collaborative the playwright to the directors,
- 30:24Speaker 6: to the actors, but they tell us the story.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Absolutely, so we would love for you to tell us
- 30:31Speaker 2: the story.
- 30:32Speaker 3: But let me help you getting character.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Because do you remember have y'all seen when Damson Idris
- 30:39Speaker 1: he was talking, he was doing an interview talking about snowfall,
- 30:42Speaker 1: and he was saying how he had to summons the devil,
- 30:45Speaker 1: essentially like to get into character. Have you ever been
- 30:49Speaker 1: possessed by a character?
- 30:52Speaker 6: I wouldn't say I've been possessed, but I've definitely embodied.
- 30:55Speaker 6: That would be the word I would use. I think
- 30:57Speaker 6: it's probably just smantics. We're talking about the same, but yeah, embodied.
- 31:03Speaker 6: And I definitely wanted to make sure your listening audience
- 31:08Speaker 6: knew a little something about storytelling or not that that
- 31:12Speaker 6: you don't know because you know a lot, but maybe
- 31:14Speaker 6: just think a little bit about storytelling. Yeah, absolutely, So
- 31:19Speaker 6: to that point, once there was a man whoever evening
- 31:25Speaker 6: got to work, will return home, remove his coat and
- 31:30Speaker 6: take off his jacket, hang his hat, take his supper,
- 31:34Speaker 6: sit before the fire. After eating. He would take out
- 31:36Speaker 6: his pipe and slowly blows smoke rings into the flames.
- 31:42Speaker 6: He was a very very ordinary man. For you see
- 31:47Speaker 6: the extraordinary person in this story, it's the wife. For
- 31:52Speaker 6: every evening after a husband would return and she would
- 31:54Speaker 6: cook or clean, or whoever it was that she would do.
- 31:56Speaker 6: She would take her seat next to him before the fire,
- 31:59Speaker 6: and as he slowly blew his smoke rings in her
- 32:03Speaker 6: right hand, she would take a very soft cloth. Then
- 32:08Speaker 6: she began to rub her left arm and hand and slowly, slowly,
- 32:16Speaker 6: and to when even she looked up from the flames
- 32:20Speaker 6: her right arm. Her left arm was made of solid gold,
- 32:27Speaker 6: and every evening she would sit there, slowly, slowly polishing
- 32:30Speaker 6: her golden arms. And to one of the things, she
- 32:32Speaker 6: looked up in the flames, and she said to her husband,
- 32:34Speaker 6: she said.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Promise me.
- 32:37Speaker 6: I promise me that when I die, you shall buri
- 32:40Speaker 6: me with my goad. Then and a husband, he looked
- 32:44Speaker 6: at me, she said, what what are you talking about?
- 32:48Speaker 6: And she said, promise me that when I die, you
- 32:50Speaker 6: should bury me with my gold and arm. And so
- 32:53Speaker 6: he made that promise, thinking nothing of it. But the
- 32:56Speaker 6: time came where the woman died, and the night before
- 33:00Speaker 6: her funeral. The husband he's sitting in a very same
- 33:03Speaker 6: room where he made his promise, and he thought to himself,
- 33:05Speaker 6: and he thought, I can't bury let them bury her
- 33:08Speaker 6: with that golden arm. Why if I had that golden arma,
- 33:11Speaker 6: I could buy myself a new suit of clothes. No, no,
- 33:17Speaker 6: I can't let them bury her with that golden arm.
- 33:19Speaker 6: Why if I had that golden arma, I could buy
- 33:22Speaker 6: myself a new car. No, no, I can't let them
- 33:27Speaker 6: bury her with that golden arm. Why if I had
- 33:29Speaker 6: that golden arm, I could buy myself a new house.
- 33:35Speaker 6: So with that he went to the place and he
- 33:38Speaker 6: cut the golden arm off. That next night, after the funeral,
- 33:45Speaker 6: he's sitting at very same laughing, laughing proudly to himself.
- 33:55Speaker 6: I've got the golden arm. I've got the golden on.
- 34:07Speaker 6: I can buy myself a news to the clothes. I
- 34:10Speaker 6: could buy a big car. I can buy the biggest,
- 34:13Speaker 6: the newest, the bightest house in the county. I've got
- 34:18Speaker 6: the golden all. But as he stood there looking out
- 34:21Speaker 6: that window and the night skies, those same skies that
- 34:25Speaker 6: were clear began to cloud, those same winds that were
- 34:32Speaker 6: still began to blow and he thought he thought he
- 34:40Speaker 6: heard something. He thought he heard, oh, stood.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Cool, And then on.
- 34:59Speaker 6: What what was that? It's just the wind, that's how
- 35:00Speaker 6: it was, just the wind. But there it was again,
- 35:04Speaker 6: o my cold. Then so there was again he was
- 35:18Speaker 6: coming closer and closer. He ran to the front door.
- 35:19Speaker 6: He shut it, and then he locked it, but he
- 35:24Speaker 6: could still hear it coming ever closer. Oo, stood.
- 35:34Speaker 2: My go.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Then he's coming closer and closer. He began to run
- 35:42Speaker 6: through the house of someplace something side the closet. He
- 35:45Speaker 6: ran aside and he shut that door. But then he
- 35:49Speaker 6: could here on the other side of the front door.
- 35:52Speaker 6: Oohoo my go, you know. And I was in the
- 36:02Speaker 6: front room stool.
- 36:07Speaker 2: My cool.
- 36:10Speaker 6: Then he's coming closer and closer. He began to clutch
- 36:15Speaker 6: that God arm tighter and tighter to his chest. Oh
- 36:21Speaker 6: store my, Then on otool my goo, then on yo.
- 36:53Speaker 6: And with that the ghost reached out, grabbed the golden arm,
- 36:58Speaker 6: ran through the house. I've never seen it ever again.
- 37:00Speaker 6: The man dropped dead from fright and that was the
- 37:03Speaker 6: end of that.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I was waiting for him to say he would Oh,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I could buy myself a new wife.
- 37:13Speaker 2: I was waiting on old man Ariman. Ain't nobody scanning,
- 37:16Speaker 2: No motherfucker. Old man.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Took me that goddamn am you see.
- 37:23Speaker 6: Uh, that's up to y'all. That's y'all gig until the
- 37:28Speaker 6: next story. That's y'all gig.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I got one, all right, here's what I'm gonna get it.
- 37:35Speaker 2: It was a dog night the wind howl like the
- 37:42Speaker 2: band Cheese. Trump got re.
- 37:45Speaker 5: Elected, Sary store not saying nights, no stupid.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Do you have another.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Hold on? Did you make that up?
- 38:15Speaker 2: Right?
- 38:15Speaker 3: That was a made up story?
- 38:16Speaker 6: No? That story so that is an old story. That
- 38:19Speaker 6: story is over four hundred years old. This story comes
- 38:21Speaker 6: to us all the way as far as my research
- 38:24Speaker 6: can tell, all the way from England. So I tell
- 38:27Speaker 6: people all the time that story does what all stories do.
- 38:31Speaker 6: It travels through the people. That's how you get a
- 38:33Speaker 6: story over four hundred years ago to be with us
- 38:36Speaker 6: right here, right now on this podcast. It travels through
- 38:39Speaker 6: the people across the ward and travel it's all. Their
- 38:41Speaker 6: story is all over the world now, all over the
- 38:45Speaker 6: world now, but it travels through the people. So when
- 38:47Speaker 6: I was a kid, the big kids in my neighborhood
- 38:50Speaker 6: told us that story and took her to the haunted house. See,
- 38:53Speaker 6: I grew up in every neighborhood had at least one
- 38:56Speaker 6: haunted house. And it took us there and told us
- 38:58Speaker 6: the story and ran out trying to make us cry,
- 39:01Speaker 6: and you know, you know how to get down. But yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 6: so that story is well trapped, well troubled. And for
- 39:09Speaker 6: the longest I thought that story came from my neighborhood.
- 39:13Speaker 6: Oh really, yeah yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I grew up in a haunted house, my mama house.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Yeah, the house my mom still lives in. That house
- 39:23Speaker 2: is haunted. I think most people have something yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 6: M hm, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. You guys have a deep,
- 39:32Speaker 6: deep history with haunts and hats and hags and all
- 39:37Speaker 6: that good stuff.
- 39:39Speaker 2: In American trauma.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I mean, that's usually the spirits that can settle the
- 39:45Speaker 1: ones who die from a lot of trauma. They still
- 39:47Speaker 1: have unfinished things, like they just died abruptly mm hmmm.
- 39:52Speaker 3: A lot of times.
- 39:53Speaker 6: So I take it then, you guys believe in ghosts
- 39:55Speaker 6: absolutely absolutely.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I might be a duppy, you know sometimes duppy is
- 40:06Speaker 1: like the Jamaicans called ghost duppies.
- 40:08Speaker 3: But I remember one of my my.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Ex boyfriends, his mom used to always be like you know,
- 40:12Speaker 1: don't sleep at the window open, because she would be
- 40:14Speaker 1: complaining about one of her neighbors and said that the neighbor,
- 40:17Speaker 1: this living person, was actually a hag. At night when
- 40:21Speaker 1: she goes to sleep, her spirit is leaving her body
- 40:23Speaker 1: and coming in the house. So make sure you close
- 40:26Speaker 1: the windows at night.
- 40:28Speaker 3: I believe stuff.
- 40:29Speaker 6: Like you ever heard you ever heard it? Sort of
- 40:31Speaker 6: the hag that would shed her skin, take her figurenail
- 40:34Speaker 6: and split herself wide open, and her skeleton wrapped in muscle,
- 40:39Speaker 6: would leave her skin, and then as she would go
- 40:43Speaker 6: out and do her business, she would come back and
- 40:45Speaker 6: put her skin back on.
- 40:48Speaker 1: So she just been just leaving banana shillings all over
- 40:51Speaker 1: the place. Skin shillings. No, I never heard that one.
- 40:58Speaker 2: No little plastic served. Yes, I definitely believe in in
- 41:04Speaker 2: hags and all the things absolutely because I've experienced them.
- 41:10Speaker 2: I believe in the possibility of all I've never experienced them.
- 41:14Speaker 2: I've seen like the closest thing I've ever seen to
- 41:17Speaker 2: uh maybe something supernatural or something that that's here that
- 41:22Speaker 2: we can't see, is at my grandmother's house. My great
- 41:27Speaker 2: grandmother used to sit in the rocking chair. Yeah, I've
- 41:30Speaker 2: seen this with my own eyes. I'm not lying. My
- 41:33Speaker 2: great grandmother passed away in like nineteen ninety four, and
- 41:37Speaker 2: that rocking chair would rock by itself sometimes. I don't
- 41:41Speaker 2: know how it happened, but that rock and chair would
- 41:43Speaker 2: just start rocking. That's her shit, that's not when.
- 41:47Speaker 6: Not when vibration.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I don't know what was going on. I used to
- 41:52Speaker 2: be flabbergasted, like are we saying? And then the rocking
- 41:55Speaker 2: chair would just start rocking by stuff, and my grandma
- 41:58Speaker 2: would say, Mama, wheel, okay, you can go on, you
- 42:02Speaker 2: can go home. It's okay, We're gonna be fine. And
- 42:06Speaker 2: my grandma be talking to a rocket shaer that ain't
- 42:08Speaker 2: nobody in. I wave the fuck out of Dodge. I'm like,
- 42:11Speaker 2: you know what, it's time to go outside and play,
- 42:13Speaker 2: because she gets kind of creepy in this.
- 42:16Speaker 6: Something outside.
- 42:21Speaker 2: But that's the only thing I've ever seen in my
- 42:23Speaker 2: entire life that will suggest that there are there is
- 42:26Speaker 2: life outside of what we can see. You know, yeah,
- 42:29Speaker 2: I believe.
- 42:30Speaker 6: There's a there's a world beyond this world. I don't
- 42:34Speaker 6: know what that definition is. I don't know what you know,
- 42:38Speaker 6: what exactly a ghost of ghostly spirit is? I don't
- 42:41Speaker 6: know some people, you know, they're spiritual whatever you know, Uh,
- 42:46Speaker 6: yesterday's religion is today's superstition of spiritual reality. You know.
- 42:55Speaker 6: So you don't know. But I do believe there's a
- 42:58Speaker 6: world beyond this world that we don't We can't define
- 43:03Speaker 6: worlds beyond our world. But I do believe there's a
- 43:05Speaker 6: world beyond our world.
- 43:07Speaker 2: And I believe there's more people there than it is here.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I think I think the veil between worlds are getting
- 43:13Speaker 1: thinner and thinner. And this is why some people may
- 43:15Speaker 1: have more stories nowadays, because I don't believe that energy dies.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I believe energy is forever. So sometimes your great grandma
- 43:24Speaker 2: probably feel like she at home like she is. He
- 43:27Speaker 2: just can't see her on the realm that she's in,
- 43:31Speaker 2: you know, but she's so around.
- 43:34Speaker 6: I believe something very like that. You're right. Energy transforms,
- 43:38Speaker 6: It can't be destroyed, transforms, matter becomes, energy becomes I
- 43:44Speaker 6: don't know, energy transforms, So right, what happens with the energy?
- 43:48Speaker 6: Where does it go? Does it maintain a consciousness? Does
- 43:52Speaker 6: it go other places?
- 43:53Speaker 4: Does it do?
- 43:54Speaker 2: Now?
- 43:54Speaker 6: These are things that we're telling in our storytelling. Now,
- 43:56Speaker 6: these are things The Bible is a collection of stories
- 44:00Speaker 6: you know, stories to educate the teachers things. Any any
- 44:05Speaker 6: religious text, any religious tone, is a collection of stories
- 44:10Speaker 6: to make us think about exactly what you just said.
- 44:14Speaker 6: From science fiction to comics to religion. Yeah, it's all stories.
- 44:22Speaker 6: Are you when you sit down and you go, you
- 44:25Speaker 6: call up your girlf like, girl, you can't believe what
- 44:27Speaker 6: he done? Now you're telling stories. You know, when your
- 44:32Speaker 6: kid comes home from school and tells you something funny
- 44:35Speaker 6: that happened in school, they're telling stories.
- 44:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 44:39Speaker 6: I forget the exact there was someone who did some
- 44:42Speaker 6: type of study that said there was I forget the number,
- 44:44Speaker 6: were something that number like, I think it's like eighty
- 44:47Speaker 6: two percent of the time we're talking, we're telling the story.
- 44:51Speaker 2: So yeah, and when as these niggas have them belying,
- 44:56Speaker 2: you know the rat of story tell us.
- 45:00Speaker 3: But actually they were actually not a good storytellers.
- 45:06Speaker 6: I think, I think, I think y'all talking about something.
- 45:09Speaker 6: Use a different guests on. Here, have your therapist on
- 45:16Speaker 6: to discuss that.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Do you do you have one more to share?
- 45:20Speaker 3: You have a therapist on?
- 45:22Speaker 2: You caught that we don't have any.
- 45:29Speaker 6: I've actually got to go, but I would love to
- 45:32Speaker 6: plug my company absolutely.
- 45:34Speaker 1: So y'all absolutely all are listening to the co founder
- 45:37Speaker 1: and creative director or founder, right, are you the founder
- 45:40Speaker 1: of co founder? I saw all right, co founder of
- 45:43Speaker 1: the NIA company, the NIA Theater Company.
- 45:46Speaker 6: Thank you?
- 45:46Speaker 2: Okay, can you share some of this nonprofits and initiatives?
- 45:54Speaker 6: Sorry, well, we're not a nonprofit we actually okay, got it,
- 45:59Speaker 6: but we are. We're a theater company and we do
- 46:03Speaker 6: everything from original adaptations of children's literature, which we call
- 46:09Speaker 6: our family arm my Family Show, all the way to
- 46:11Speaker 6: really cutting edge adult offerings. Either one of you know,
- 46:15Speaker 6: a show Passover by Antoine, Antoinette NWANDU No. Looked at
- 46:22Speaker 6: me like, what, well, it's it's a passover? How is passover?
- 46:32Speaker 2: Now?
- 46:32Speaker 6: I forget it's I think anyway, it's really edgy adult theater.
- 46:39Speaker 6: And we've been together for twenty six years and we've
- 46:43Speaker 6: been making theater. We theater for the people. We make theater.
- 46:49Speaker 6: We tell stories that wouldn't get told otherwise. So we
- 46:54Speaker 6: do everything top Dog Underdog. We did that when it
- 46:58Speaker 6: was a new show. I'm trying to think of Jesus
- 47:02Speaker 6: hoped a trade bunch of mccallagus from my Children's wing.
- 47:10Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, we just did a show
- 47:12Speaker 6: this morning during this during the fall. For twelve years now,
- 47:17Speaker 6: we've done a show in partnership with the South Carolina
- 47:20Speaker 6: Philharmonic and Richly School District One called The Gift That
- 47:26Speaker 6: Ran Away or is it fish or Fishes? And it's
- 47:29Speaker 6: an original piece I'm really proud of. It's the original
- 47:31Speaker 6: piece that I copy wrote. And it's a bit of science,
- 47:37Speaker 6: is a bit of zio zoology. It's a music by
- 47:41Speaker 6: Camille sang Song, the composer Camille sang Song is performed
- 47:45Speaker 6: by the South Carolina Philharmonic. And we see every second
- 47:50Speaker 6: grader and District two. That's about twenty five three thousand
- 47:53Speaker 6: and second graders over the spans of four days. And
- 47:57Speaker 6: it's cool. It's really cool.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 6: It's super.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Like plug all your social media where people can actually
- 48:04Speaker 2: find you our listeners.
- 48:05Speaker 6: You can find the NEA company at purpose People dot company,
- 48:11Speaker 6: not dot com, Purpose People dot Company on Facebook. Darren
- 48:18Speaker 6: McCloud Storyteller and I think don't have a website. I
- 48:25Speaker 6: think my website is Darren mc Yeah, I think it's
- 48:30Speaker 6: I think my website is Darren McCloud storyteller dot com.
- 48:33Speaker 6: It is, you know, so like yeah, I know y'all
- 48:40Speaker 6: live and die by the social media.
- 48:42Speaker 1: If I'm like, we really don't, okay, we just we
- 48:46Speaker 1: do all little bit of research we have to do
- 48:48Speaker 1: when we have people on, but we really are not.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we appreciate you coming out. I know you
- 48:56Speaker 2: gotta go, but we appreciate thank you so much.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Oo stole my gold and watch because somebody broke in
- 49:12Speaker 2: my motherfucker house. And so for me, listen, if y'all,
- 49:16Speaker 2: if y'all are an attorney and listen to the show,
- 49:19Speaker 2: I need y'all to DM me because I need an
- 49:21Speaker 2: attorney because what the fuckstole by? That's what we needed
- 49:25Speaker 2: to be. I was fun, though, you stupid girl.
- 49:32Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 49:33Speaker 2: But y'all that's Halloween, and I guess I don't know.
- 49:35Speaker 2: I got an actual real life scary I've experienced, so
- 49:41Speaker 2: y'all Okay.
- 49:42Speaker 3: The year was nineteen ninety nine.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Young ag was like sixteen to seventeen years old right
- 49:52Speaker 2: around with an older drug dealer. So we going into
- 49:57Speaker 2: two ky year two thousand set up the screen.
- 50:00Speaker 3: So yeah, that's the screen.
- 50:02Speaker 2: No, Lil Wayne was playing in the background all.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Right, back that up was playing. I had on a
- 50:09Speaker 3: navy blue velore.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Long body con skirt and top with a high slit
- 50:17Speaker 1: and black boots.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Okay, nigga picked me up from my daddy house.
- 50:23Speaker 3: What kind of car that nigga had? A cutless bitch?
- 50:26Speaker 1: No, wait, even it was a cutlass or a Cadillac Deville.
- 50:30Speaker 3: You remember them rooms on it?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Like, yeah, remember when I mentioned the girl telling me
- 50:41Speaker 2: how she's gonna tell my daddy.
- 50:42Speaker 3: I'm talking to this older nigga. This was the older nigga.
- 50:45Speaker 1: So the year was were going into two thousand, So
- 50:48Speaker 1: this is New Year's Eve nineteen ninety nine going into
- 50:51Speaker 1: the year two thousand. His dad owns a nightclub, but
- 50:55Speaker 1: he probably owns it now because I'm pretty sure his
- 50:57Speaker 1: dad probably's out of here. I don't know my daddy's alive.
- 50:59Speaker 1: I don't know anyway. I feel like his dad did
- 51:02Speaker 1: pass away though. So he owns this this spot now,
- 51:05Speaker 1: and it's at a place here in Charleston called Mosquito Beach.
- 51:08Speaker 1: It's only one way out of Mesquita Beach and one
- 51:10Speaker 1: way in. It's one road right. So we're now leaving
- 51:15Speaker 1: the club. So now it's two thousand, it's after midnight,
- 51:19Speaker 1: so we're leaving the club, and it was like a
- 51:22Speaker 1: bunch of like just uh, it's marshy land and then
- 51:26Speaker 1: the ocean is right there, so it's always like really
- 51:30Speaker 1: foggy outside in that area. And so this is winter,
- 51:33Speaker 1: so it's kind of chilly outside, so it's heavy, dense fog.
- 51:36Speaker 1: We're driving through, right, some shit like that. So we're
- 51:42Speaker 1: driving down this one street. It's a two way street,
- 51:44Speaker 1: but just one long street, and there was a car
- 51:47Speaker 1: driving real slow on one side of the street, and
- 51:52Speaker 1: then the other side it was an ambulance speeding, like
- 51:55Speaker 1: heading towards as speeding. He's driving down, he's driving. I'm
- 52:02Speaker 1: on the passenger side, and I lied to y'all, niggas
- 52:05Speaker 1: not he ran. He hit somebody, that's what it was,
- 52:10Speaker 1: an old white man in the middle of the street.
- 52:14Speaker 1: He hit this person, but the car went through them.
- 52:18Speaker 1: So I turned around immediately like to look out the
- 52:20Speaker 1: back window, and it was nothing there. So he then says,
- 52:25Speaker 1: you saw that shit too, So in my mom like
- 52:29Speaker 1: did somebody just die? And like that's the spirit and
- 52:32Speaker 1: the ambulance is going to pick them up. And this
- 52:34Speaker 1: person driving slowly was seeing the same shit we were seeing,
- 52:38Speaker 1: Like just the the thing was in the road and
- 52:42Speaker 1: we went through it.
- 52:44Speaker 3: The person.
- 52:47Speaker 2: My ghost dad, Yes, like fucking ghost dad, and.
- 52:50Speaker 1: It's happened in real life like I and I guess,
- 52:53Speaker 1: unless he cooperated, I probably would have just thought it
- 52:56Speaker 1: was just some fucking food.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Wasn't that loud that you might have been smoking? As
- 53:03Speaker 2: seventeen but I wasn't, or sixteen, however old I was.
- 53:07Speaker 2: I might be that Nigga might supposed to be in jail,
- 53:12Speaker 2: I know, because he was.
- 53:13Speaker 3: He had you on age.
- 53:17Speaker 2: He killed somebody applearly, there's a lot of crowns being
- 53:21Speaker 2: committed in it.
- 53:22Speaker 1: So that's that's one of my scary stories. And y'all,
- 53:24Speaker 1: I uh, my mom's house is for real haunted. It'd
- 53:27Speaker 1: be all type of shit going on there, Like when
- 53:29Speaker 1: I was staying with her when I first moved back
- 53:31Speaker 1: to Charleston the first month or so, it was like something.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Either was like just trying to get my attention or
- 53:40Speaker 3: like I'm sleeping most.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Nights and I could see like this big black blob
- 53:44Speaker 1: of something like mixing up above me in the bed
- 53:48Speaker 1: and I don't before yeah, and I don't mind that
- 53:50Speaker 1: type of shit, but don't touch me, like as long
- 53:55Speaker 1: as it don't touch me.
- 53:56Speaker 3: I'm not afraid of it. Like I'm not afraid of
- 53:59Speaker 3: ghost Just don't put your hands on me.
- 54:03Speaker 2: How blob got hands?
- 54:04Speaker 6: Bitch?
- 54:07Speaker 2: Well, don't like, don't like, don't rub my body.
- 54:10Speaker 1: I'm so scared to sleep with my feet from underneath
- 54:13Speaker 1: the cover because all I think about is something fucking
- 54:15Speaker 1: touching my feet while I'm asleep.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Well, what you think if the coven out there, they're
- 54:18Speaker 2: not gonna touch your Yes, how work whether you got
- 54:23Speaker 2: a blanket or not.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's not how I think blankets shield
- 54:29Speaker 1: you from ghosts.
- 54:31Speaker 3: You get underneath the cover.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Now, if the ghost start coming undneath the cove, they
- 54:34Speaker 1: trying to kill your ass.
- 54:35Speaker 2: So imagine the ghosts in here and be like, oh
- 54:39Speaker 2: damn that bitch under the blanket. We can't see her feet.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I can't even.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Are you afraid how to dark? Because I am?
- 54:47Speaker 2: I am? I don't sleep in the dark.
- 54:49Speaker 1: No, I'm not afraid of dark because I like sleeping
- 54:51Speaker 1: in the dark. I'm afraid of dark spaces. So like,
- 54:53Speaker 1: if I'm in the room and the door is open
- 54:55Speaker 1: and it's like it just looks like a dark hole.
- 54:58Speaker 3: I don't like that. I don't like open closets. I
- 55:00Speaker 3: don't like open bathroom doors.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I don't like open hallway doors because I don't like
- 55:06Speaker 1: looking down that dark hallway narrow spin.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I usually sleep with my bedroom door open
- 55:15Speaker 2: and all of that be dark, but my room will
- 55:17Speaker 2: have like a sliver of light from the closet or
- 55:20Speaker 2: a slibber light from some fucking weird because I can't
- 55:24Speaker 2: sleep in pitch black. I cannot.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I can, And then I can't sleep in my door
- 55:29Speaker 1: like open, because if somebody come in to do something
- 55:31Speaker 1: to me. And this is when I was living alone,
- 55:33Speaker 1: Like I need to be able to prepare, Like you
- 55:34Speaker 1: just sleeping with your door open, somebody's gonna get in
- 55:36Speaker 1: your house to come straight in your room, in your room,
- 55:39Speaker 1: like I'm at least tear somebody wiggling the door or
- 55:42Speaker 1: trying to get in, because I would lock my from
- 55:45Speaker 1: my bedroom.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but based on your story, go say, wiggling the
- 55:50Speaker 2: door you're coming through that give me my golden arm,
- 55:56Speaker 2: give me if I golden washed, bitch. When I found
- 55:59Speaker 2: out who brought get to my house, I was like, Oh,
- 56:02Speaker 2: what if it was a ghost, What if what a ghost?
- 56:05Speaker 2: Need to watch he might be trying to borter it
- 56:10Speaker 2: to get to the other side. Girl. God, how it
- 56:12Speaker 2: was I'll trying to buy his way into heaven. Right,
- 56:17Speaker 2: I got all. If somebody attorney in North Carolina you
- 56:21Speaker 2: listen to this show, please DM me because I need hell,
- 56:24Speaker 2: I need some assistance. That's all the whole story I
- 56:27Speaker 2: was thinking about. Oh, he got jokes.
- 56:31Speaker 3: He's not even talking about you.
- 56:32Speaker 2: Crazy, right, because how first of all, her RT wasn't
- 56:36Speaker 2: even gold in the beginning. It turned into a golden
- 56:38Speaker 2: hor she was rubbing it and then it turned gold. Yeah,
- 56:42Speaker 2: she's a thief.
- 56:44Speaker 6: This.
- 56:45Speaker 3: I don't know if it's global warming or not, but
- 56:48Speaker 3: do you not remember like Halloween used.
- 56:50Speaker 2: To be real cold cold? Yeah, it used to be
- 56:53Speaker 2: freezing cold. The fair my mama used to have on
- 56:56Speaker 2: a trench leather coat or trench wol code like in
- 56:59Speaker 2: at it's hot a twel outside. It's definitely global warming,
- 57:03Speaker 2: and we should be scared because.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Nigga's global warm.
- 57:06Speaker 2: I just think the Earth is changing like as it's
- 57:08Speaker 2: supposed to. That's the globe warming up.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also we have like long winters now too, though,
- 57:16Speaker 1: like it's colder longer. So I just think we just
- 57:19Speaker 1: in a different position in the universe. Yeah, like something's different.
- 57:25Speaker 1: I mean, things aren't supposed to say the same. I
- 57:26Speaker 1: don't think it's global warming though, but if it is,
- 57:29Speaker 1: guess who wanna survive?
- 57:31Speaker 3: The niggas who you sit the heat?
- 57:33Speaker 2: Yeah, but here's the thing, we gonna survive, right. But
- 57:38Speaker 2: I be feeling like we come back because people are like,
- 57:40Speaker 2: by the time that shit happened, i'mna be long gone.
- 57:42Speaker 2: You're gonna be back again, and somebody else suffering, yes, suffering,
- 57:47Speaker 2: so they'll stop saying I ain't gonna be here. You
- 57:50Speaker 2: very well mighty, and all of us gonna have to
- 57:52Speaker 2: wear has mask suits to go outside because you keep
- 57:55Speaker 2: on fucking up the ozone layer Shah.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Earth definitely tied of us when we started seeing all
- 58:01Speaker 1: these crazy ass storms. I mean, I do think some
- 58:05Speaker 1: of it is manipulated a little bit, because they do
- 58:07Speaker 1: have harp. It's a real thing, so they probably be
- 58:10Speaker 1: beefing up storms.
- 58:12Speaker 2: We are probably like COVID.
- 58:15Speaker 1: But for the Earth absolutely, they said during COVID, like
- 58:18Speaker 1: Earth kind of healed a little bit because people weren't
- 58:21Speaker 1: moving around as much. There was less smog, less pollution
- 58:23Speaker 1: in the air animals people ain't seen any years. It
- 58:26Speaker 1: was coming out like, hey, we out these niggas inside,
- 58:31Speaker 1: but we need to do that at least five times
- 58:33Speaker 1: a year, as in a house, that.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Would be nice. I listen as sad as COVID was
- 58:39Speaker 2: with all the you know people passing away from it.
- 58:42Speaker 2: I got a bike. I hadn't had a bike. I
- 58:44Speaker 2: was almost got killed. Now I will say that we're
- 58:47Speaker 2: riding the bike. Yeah, I was riding down one of
- 58:51Speaker 2: them country rolls. I told that story on here, and
- 58:53Speaker 2: then three bulls came wrong.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Yeah, stupid.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Oh my god. I was so glad that nigga had
- 58:59Speaker 2: that pistol because they was about to eat my I
- 59:02Speaker 2: had on red pants. I probably looked like a big,
- 59:05Speaker 2: fat ass steak riding down the street.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Give me that boogie.
- 59:12Speaker 2: But y'all, lit'sten dress the kids out. We want to
- 59:14Speaker 2: se them kids.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Pictures, man, d have muss some pictures of y'all kids. Uh,
- 59:18Speaker 1: Halloween costumes.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Yes, especially if you actually tried, you know, if you
- 59:24Speaker 2: gotta you know what, sit it, fuck it. If you
- 59:26Speaker 2: ain't even try real hard, send it anyway. What to
- 59:29Speaker 2: put the costume on a kid? Like put a sheet
- 59:31Speaker 2: with holes in the ass. You ever seen that?
- 59:33Speaker 1: Yeah, some people, that's all they can afford those costs.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Marshalls and Tej and Max got some super cute costumes.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Like I wish I had a kid. I'm gonna send
- 59:40Speaker 1: you this little uh unicorn costume they had in there.
- 59:44Speaker 2: I'm jealous because I got a kid to take pictures
- 59:46Speaker 2: in that. It's so cute. And are you gonna dress
- 59:51Speaker 2: up men? Meat? I did see like some little bat ears.
- 59:55Speaker 3: I should have ordered them.
- 59:56Speaker 2: What it is?
- 59:58Speaker 3: Oh, tomorrow's Halloween.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Tomorrow's when you gotta get it from Target or something
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: like that. I'm not a BELLA don't know it's Halloween,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: so she's not getting a cost.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: That's how I'm gonna do with my kids. I think
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell him a by None of this ship.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: The only thing I'm gonna tell him about his birthday.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell me Donald's exist. I'm not gonna
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: tell him about Halloween, Christmas, none of them.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Nobody, they're not. My kid's not gonna know how old
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: they are until they tall, because I wanted to think
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: that they can fly free, you know how small babies. Oh,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: I to shut the fuck up. I don't know how
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: old you are. You don't have a big ass six
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: year old. I say he too, though he ain't gonna
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: know how old he is. He's gonna be confused. A hem.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: My mom.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's abuse. It's gonna know where we're at.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: That's how you are, depending on where we're at. Be
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: under five, free, you under five. My nigga.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: If somebody till my kid about any of these things,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it's the devil.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I'm like McDonald's is the devil.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Who told you that.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna demonize all the things, right, But but.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: When you do that, that's how your kids end up
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: hoes you got That's what happened the ones who had whoa.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: That was the baddest was when we got big, like
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: god damn.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: So you mean to tell me people who who parents
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: ain't telling about? McDonald's is the biggest hose.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: If you didn't have organg holes though, if you didn't
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: have a happy meal, You've been passing out happy meals
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: for about ten years now. I'd rather I want to
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: organic hold in ship. Give it to me.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: I got her a little bit shit. We're gonna sell
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: averge Virginity.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Are you a big spooky person though, Like, are you
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: into like scary movies? And yes, I don't know why.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I literally just started watching hell Raiser and it's old whack. Yes,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: it's so lame, but I'm looking for things because like
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: they got the Cuban Air, so that's Saturn.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: It's different little things they be having hidden in movies.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: And I'm like, let me go back and watch that
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: with my current brain because as a kid, you're just scared,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: but it's disclosure in movies.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: So I started back watching Hall Raiser and it's fucking whack. Man.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: That shit is not scary. I don't watch I've never
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: seen Hell Raiser. I won't watch the Insidious movies. Those
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: shit has kind of scared me too, is scary. I've
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: never seen none of them I have, and I don't
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: know why.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: I like to feel scared like that.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: It's like being scared too, but only would have little
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: bit though, So I think it's just some whole shit
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: and it's correlated with scary because I don't want to
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: be sitting scared by myself. Well, when they got to
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: be like, oh, pretend me, that's scary, hohle shit, Yeah,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: that's it.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: No, I like scary movies and I'm watching by myself too,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Like it'd be a whole date when I watch TV.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna take a shower, get my little food whatever. Yeah,
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I like watch a scary movie by yourself. Yes, I
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: like to feel.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: I like to feel kind of scary.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: Oh yeah. The series I'm watching right now, I think
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: I send it to you.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: The Devil's Hour. Did I send it to you?
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Yeah? You mentioned it.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: It's not it's not scary though, It's like it's not though,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: like it's you know how people say, like what after
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: like three o'clock in the morning is usually like the
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: dead hour. People call it the dead hour, like three
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: four No, so the dead hour is like wee hours
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: of the night, like when everything is sleep because you know,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: they say you're supposed to go to sleep with the
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: birds and wake up with the birds. So it's like
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: that time like when the world is real still like
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: between three and four am. But this lady in the series,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: she keeps waking up every night at three.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: We talked about this.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Last week, did I three thirty three a M.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because I want you to put you a DM
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: say what they said about I'd be saying the same
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: shit or something. No, she was like that, AJ judging
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: us for watching true crime, but she watches some shit
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: called The devil Our or some shit.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: Like yeah, but if it's not about it's about time traveling,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: not even time travel, it's really about reincarnation.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: But realizing that, like I was telling it. Oh boy,
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: like we're here, right, and when we die.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Some people in this show, the main character, he remembers
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: his previous lives, right, so he's actually trying to save people.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: He kills himself or somebody kills him, right, and he
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: comes back, but he already knows what happened, like he's
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: taking notes from the last life. So remember you ever
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: seen me put that on my story? Remember Remember Remember?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: And I think when I have a kid, I'm going
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: to keep telling him remember remember remember. Because I believe
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: in reincarnation. I believe we exist on different timelines and
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: different lives, and I believe that you can actually come
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: back as your current self.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: Remember your past life.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: You just be forgetting, especially like adults are dream killers,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: so like little kids, they probably.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Be remember who they are.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Shoot up the damn womb, Like god, damn, I'm backing
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: this motherfucker. That might be the light we're seeing coming
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: out the womb. That's what people see when they die
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: or have near death, near death experiences. They're seeing that
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: light coming out of the next womb.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I think.
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: So what if you can remember.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Your previous lives? But it's it's a simulation. That's what
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: the story the series is about.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: The devils are. It's just a simulation. Go watch the
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: episode that means the serious Anyway'm.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: Gonna watch it. I'm gonna watch it. I'm gonna try
