- 0:00Speaker 1: Now more Mark Simone on 710WOR.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, hey, I just want to remind you, it's still summer.
- 0:14Speaker 2: The last day of summer is the 22nd of September,
- 0:18Speaker 2: which means two weeks from today is the first day
- 0:23Speaker 2: of fall. Two weeks from today is when fall begins,
- 0:26Speaker 2: so it's still summer. Hard to remember that when tonight
- 0:31Speaker 2: is opening night, NFL season begins tonight. And it's not
- 0:36Speaker 2: just any game. It's a repeat of the Super Bowl.
- 0:39Speaker 2: It's the Seahawks and the Patriots, the Super Bowl teams,
- 0:44Speaker 2: will play tonight. So it'll be a rematch. It's going
- 0:47Speaker 2: to be a big, huge game. It'll be 8.30 tonight
- 0:50Speaker 2: on television, NFL. So President Trump came up with a
- 0:54Speaker 2: brilliant idea. A midterm convention. They always have the convention
- 0:59Speaker 2: in the presidential year. This is brilliant. I don't know
- 1:02Speaker 2: why somebody didn't think of this before. A midterm convention. Well,
- 1:06Speaker 2: it seemed brilliant on paper, but I don't know who
- 1:09Speaker 2: scheduled this, but the president is to speak tonight at 8.30.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Opposite him will be opening night at the NFL and
- 1:18Speaker 2: not just any game, a rematch of the Super Bowl.
- 1:21Speaker 2: So I don't know who did the scheduling, but... Somebody
- 1:25Speaker 2: should be getting yelled at right now. And the other
- 1:28Speaker 2: problem is, as great as this sounds, the conventions, you know,
- 1:33Speaker 2: years ago, the political conventions every year, every election year,
- 1:39Speaker 2: were a big deal. Everybody would watch them. You know,
- 1:41Speaker 2: they'd run them on television. Every network would broadcast them
- 1:44Speaker 2: for three hours, you know, 8 to 11 every night.
- 1:47Speaker 2: You'd see the political conventions. They were amazing to watch.
- 1:50Speaker 2: But in recent years, in recent elections, You really don't
- 1:54Speaker 2: see them anymore. They don't run them from 8 to 11.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Sometimes they run highlights. Maybe 10 to 11, they'll run it.
- 2:01Speaker 2: And very few people watch network television anymore. And tonight,
- 2:05Speaker 2: the networks aren't going to carry this Republican convention. So
- 2:09Speaker 2: I don't know who's going to see it. Fox News
- 2:11Speaker 2: has said they'll cover it, which is great. You'll get
- 2:12Speaker 2: to watch it. And you should. But I would assume
- 2:17Speaker 2: the president, the Republicans, already have the Fox News viewers.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It's not going to make much difference. You want to
- 2:24Speaker 2: reach independent voters. How are you going to reach them?
- 2:27Speaker 2: It's not going to be on anywhere. It's not going
- 2:29Speaker 2: to get much coverage. I mean, it'll be streamed live.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I'm sure you can watch it on YouTube or anywhere.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So we'll see what effect it has. The president will
- 2:36Speaker 2: speak tonight.
- 2:37Speaker 3: J.D.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Vance will speak tomorrow night. Tomorrow's the anniversary of the
- 2:41Speaker 2: death of Charlie Kirk.
- 2:43Speaker 3: J.D.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Vance was very close to Charlie Kirk. So that'll be
- 2:47Speaker 2: part of his speech tomorrow night. The good news, Jimmy
- 2:51Speaker 2: Kimmel is finished, canceled. I know ABC keeps denying it,
- 2:55Speaker 2: but they don't really deny it. He couldn't get a
- 3:00Speaker 2: new contract this time when his contract ended. Normally you
- 3:03Speaker 2: get a three-year contract, five-year contract, something like that. He
- 3:07Speaker 2: couldn't get a new contract this time. Instead, they gave
- 3:10Speaker 2: him a one-year extension, which is considered the biggest insult
- 3:14Speaker 2: in broadcasting when they will only give you a one-year extension, so.
- 3:18Speaker 2: His one-year extension will be up pretty soon, but the
- 3:21Speaker 2: word is he'll have one more season, which begins right now, September,
- 3:26Speaker 2: and ends in May. So that'll be the end of Kimmel, May.
- 3:30Speaker 2: He'll go off the air in May. Now, ABC is
- 3:33Speaker 2: putting out these statements saying, well, that's just Internet speculation.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's just speculation. I keep hearing this from inside there.
- 3:44Speaker 2: If it's not true, announce a new contract if you're ABC.
- 3:48Speaker 2: If it's not true, sign him to a new contract.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Announce a new contract. Sign him up for three years.
- 3:55Speaker 2: They won't do it. You'll see him go off the
- 3:57Speaker 2: air in May. That'll be the end of Kimmel. Very,
- 4:00Speaker 2: very low-rated show. And Colbert went off the air, and
- 4:04Speaker 2: CBS is very happy. They don't have the headaches of Colbert.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And the replacement show, the one from Byron Allen, is
- 4:12Speaker 2: doing great. In 18 to 49, which is the most
- 4:16Speaker 2: important ratings category, it's crushing Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's doing great. 18 to 49-year-olds doing big numbers. So
- 4:26Speaker 2: look for ABC to replace Kimmel with a real actual
- 4:29Speaker 2: comedy show, not an angry political show with an agenda,
- 4:33Speaker 2: but an actual comedy show. So once again, the Apple
- 4:38Speaker 2: big announcement today, 1 o'clock. Apple will do the whole
- 4:40Speaker 2: presentation tomorrow. Big new iPhone coming out, the foldable phone
- 4:44Speaker 2: that opens, new watch, new earbuds, all sorts of stuff.
- 4:49Speaker 2: So keep an eye on that. I'm also keeping an
- 4:52Speaker 2: eye on, you know, the big bombshell was released by
- 4:54Speaker 2: Mayor Mamdani. He found in the basement of City Hall
- 4:59Speaker 2: all these documents that show that after September 11th, the
- 5:04Speaker 2: city of New York, all its officials, the city, the state,
- 5:07Speaker 2: the federal government, they knew they had reports. that the
- 5:11Speaker 2: air quality was bad, dangerous, poisonous. And you can see
- 5:16Speaker 2: in the documents that they were being told that if
- 5:20Speaker 2: this came out publicly, the liability amount would be catastrophic,
- 5:27Speaker 2: that the city would have to pay out all these
- 5:29Speaker 2: liability settlements. So they deliberately covered it up, deliberately covered
- 5:35Speaker 2: it up. Now, they've released these bombshell documents, but... I
- 5:40Speaker 2: don't know, it doesn't seem to be getting the attention
- 5:42Speaker 2: you think it would. It's getting a little coverage, but
- 5:44Speaker 2: it's not the front page. It's not the first story.
- 5:48Speaker 2: It's not getting, let me just look at the New
- 5:50Speaker 2: York Post here, and it's not getting huge coverage. You know,
- 5:53Speaker 2: it's like story number 15. So we'll see. Why would
- 5:58Speaker 2: Mamdani release this? Because he hates Giuliani, Pataki, he hates everybody.
- 6:03Speaker 2: It was the Bush administration. It's to damage them. It's
- 6:06Speaker 2: to make them John Stewart was there for the press conference.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And listen, John Stewart's right about this.
- 6:14Speaker 4: There was poison in the air and on the ground
- 6:18Speaker 4: and in the windowsills and in your air conditioners and
- 6:22Speaker 4: covering your pets and your clothes. And it stayed there
- 6:28Speaker 4: for months. Everyone knew.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Pretty bad. Mamdani.
- 6:33Speaker 5: I'm proud to be the mayor of this city. I
- 6:35Speaker 5: love this city. I love this country. And what I
- 6:37Speaker 5: want this week to be a focus on is on
- 6:40Speaker 5: the families whose loved ones were stolen from them 25
- 6:43Speaker 5: years ago.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but in the middle of this, he releases this
- 6:46Speaker 2: report condemning these city officials at the time.
- 6:51Speaker 1: These are documents that show what the city knew about
- 6:53Speaker 1: the toxic air around Ground Zero, when they knew it,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and how they acted to limit liabilities. They contain details
- 7:02Speaker 1: about DEP's response. They show how asbestos was found nearly
- 7:06Speaker 1: everywhere that inspectors tested. And they will help New Yorkers
- 7:10Speaker 1: access the health care they need.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So he's come to realize in the last few weeks
- 7:14Speaker 2: that when he goes to the 9-11 ceremony, everybody's going
- 7:17Speaker 2: to be looking at him as like he's some kind
- 7:19Speaker 2: of villain. He's like horrible. So Pataki and the other
- 7:24Speaker 2: officials that will be there will be thought of as heroes.
- 7:26Speaker 2: He's doing this so that they're thought of as villains.
- 7:29Speaker 2: But as I said, it's not getting that much attention.
- 7:33Speaker 2: So we'll see. We'll see what happens with this. The
- 7:39Speaker 2: data centers, Howard Lutnick, Commerce Secretary, he's out there defending
- 7:43Speaker 2: these data centers.
- 7:44Speaker 3: So think about it.
- 7:45Speaker 4: These AI things, they suck water and they need water, right?
- 7:50Speaker 4: And so they need a plumber, but not a plumber plumber.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean, the water problem, they'll solve that
- 7:56Speaker 2: because they've already figured out how to recycle the water
- 7:59Speaker 2: and not use that much. I mean, data centers don't
- 8:03Speaker 2: use water.
- 8:03Speaker 4: The data centers, this is propaganda by our adversaries to
- 8:07Speaker 4: try to slow us down.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Well, so what's the problem with a data center? It's
- 8:12Speaker 2: a big, ugly building. I mean, it's not ugly, but
- 8:13Speaker 2: it's just a big, massive building if it's in your neighborhood.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I mean, the good thing is it creates a lot
- 8:19Speaker 2: of jobs. And it really helps you with the data center,
- 8:24Speaker 2: the internet, the phone, everything, AI. You need these data centers.
- 8:28Speaker 2: The problem is the noise. You have to be cooled.
- 8:34Speaker 2: It's a massive building filled with computers and servers. And
- 8:39Speaker 2: they get so heated. You have to have these cooling
- 8:41Speaker 2: things cooled by these big turbines, which make not just noise,
- 8:47Speaker 2: but vibration. There's a hum. Now, imagine if you're living
- 8:53Speaker 2: next door to.
- 8:56Speaker 2: All day and night. It's going to drive you nuts.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But look where LaGuardia Airport is. It's right in a
- 9:02Speaker 2: residential neighborhood. There's houses like right outside the fence of
- 9:07Speaker 2: LaGuardia Airport. You have these planes and they make more
- 9:11Speaker 2: noise than a data center. And I imagine when it
- 9:13Speaker 2: goes right over your house, your house shakes a little.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And a lot of people live next to a train
- 9:18Speaker 2: track and all that.
- 9:19Speaker 3: So....
- 9:21Speaker 2: The thing with the data center, you're going to have
- 9:22Speaker 2: to just put them way out in the middle of nowhere. Uh,
- 9:26Speaker 2: or there's one in Virginia, they put it next to
- 9:28Speaker 2: the airport. So who can complain? Now the, the good
- 9:31Speaker 2: news with the data center does make noise and vibration
- 9:33Speaker 2: and hum, but, uh, it's really only bad for a
- 9:37Speaker 2: half a mile and you can still faintly hear it
- 9:40Speaker 2: a mile away, but it's really only a half a
- 9:42Speaker 2: mile away that it's a, it's a problem if you're
- 9:44Speaker 2: trying to live there. But, uh, They're going to get built.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And they'll figure out how to quiet these turbines down.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Elon Musk is already working on it. So that'll make
- 9:56Speaker 2: a big, big difference. Hey, Nicolas Cage. the actor, you know,
- 10:01Speaker 2: he has a beautiful house in Malibu. It's worth about,
- 10:04Speaker 2: let me see, $ 10. 5 million. $ 10. 5 million house. Right next
- 10:11Speaker 2: to his house. Right in the whole driveway. There's a
- 10:14Speaker 2: sinkhole right at his house. I don't know how you
- 10:17Speaker 2: get to his house anymore because the ground just caved
- 10:19Speaker 2: in massive sinkhole right in front of his house. Uh,
- 10:24Speaker 2: they say this, uh, to fix it is going to
- 10:26Speaker 2: be a nightmare. And that might be the end of
- 10:29Speaker 2: this house. Large chunks of concrete were visible in the hole.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Massive hole opened up right next to his house. It's
- 10:36Speaker 2: literally right up to his garage. The whole driveway is
- 10:39Speaker 2: gone with a sinkhole. Now they think, uh, to blame
- 10:43Speaker 2: for this is that it was a couple of days
- 10:45Speaker 2: of very heavy rain in Los Angeles with high surf.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And that, uh, A sinkhole is created when water is
- 10:52Speaker 2: underneath in the ground and it erodes all the soil
- 10:56Speaker 2: and gets rid of all the soil and dirt underneath,
- 10:58Speaker 2: and then the whole ground just caves in. So I
- 11:01Speaker 2: don't know what he's going to do. I guess you
- 11:04Speaker 2: can fill in a sinkhole, but it's going to take
- 11:05Speaker 2: a while, and they think the house will have to
- 11:08Speaker 2: come down. So you remember Joe Biden's prostate cancer, and
- 11:14Speaker 2: it wasn't caught in time. If you catch prostate cancer early,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and that's why you get a screening every year, If
- 11:20Speaker 2: you catch it in time, the survival rate is close
- 11:24Speaker 2: to 100%. But they didn't catch it in time. Apparently,
- 11:29Speaker 2: he had it for years and it spread throughout his body.
- 11:33Speaker 2: It spread into his bones. Now, how is that possible?
- 11:37Speaker 2: Because if you get a physical, that's part of the physical.
- 11:42Speaker 2: It's a big part of the physical. Prostate screenings. And
- 11:46Speaker 2: they always take a blood test and a physical, and
- 11:48Speaker 2: they send your blood test out. And that's one thing
- 11:50Speaker 2: they ask for is that prostate stuff, the PSA count
- 11:54Speaker 2: and all that. It's just standard procedure. Now, Jill Biden
- 11:58Speaker 2: was asked about this in some podcast, and she said, well,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you know, once you're past 80, they don't recommend prostate screening. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 2: but I've asked every doctor I could find. If the
- 12:10Speaker 2: guy's 90, they always do it. They still do it.
- 12:15Speaker 2: You have to take blood and do a blood test.
- 12:17Speaker 2: When you send it to the lab, you request the
- 12:18Speaker 2: blood test you want. And you request like 14 different
- 12:22Speaker 2: things to be tested for. And it's always there. That
- 12:25Speaker 2: prostate screening test, it's always on the list. You're always
- 12:28Speaker 2: tested for it. And we're not talking about a regular citizen.
- 12:31Speaker 2: We're talking about a guy that was president of the
- 12:33Speaker 2: United States. That's the White House physical, the presidential physical
- 12:39Speaker 2: at Walter Reed. I've talked to people who have gone
- 12:41Speaker 2: through it. It is the most thorough five-hour physical ever
- 12:45Speaker 2: in history. They test you for everything on earth. There's
- 12:48Speaker 2: no way he could have missed it. So something's wrong here.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Something's wrong here with this story. Did they tell him
- 12:54Speaker 2: and he was too afraid to do anything about it?
- 12:57Speaker 2: But the cancer has spread. Joe Biden issued a statement yesterday.
- 13:01Speaker 2: The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further.
- 13:06Speaker 2: He says it's very painful. It's very debilitating in many respects.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I don't know what you do when it's that far
- 13:14Speaker 2: into your body when it's spread like that. Jill Biden
- 13:17Speaker 2: is berating the White House doctors for not catching it,
- 13:20Speaker 2: but I guarantee you they tested him for this. There's
- 13:22Speaker 2: no way they didn't. She also admitted she would hear
- 13:26Speaker 2: her husband get up frequently in the night to urinate,
- 13:30Speaker 2: it says here. This is more information than we need
- 13:33Speaker 2: about Joe Biden. She said it's a common symptom. A
- 13:38Speaker 2: common symptom of prostate problems, but she did not press
- 13:42Speaker 2: him to talk to his doctors. Now, she said men
- 13:47Speaker 2: Biden's age are not usually tested for the disease. Again,
- 13:50Speaker 2: I've talked to a lot of great doctors. They said
- 13:52Speaker 2: they don't care how old you are. They would test
- 13:54Speaker 2: you for it. Now, Joe Biden constantly getting up in
- 13:58Speaker 2: the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.
- 14:01Speaker 2: First of all, do you really believe he remembered where
- 14:03Speaker 2: the bathroom is? And let's say he found it. You
- 14:06Speaker 2: really think he could find his way back to his bedroom?
- 14:09Speaker 2: You saw him when he made a speech when he
- 14:11Speaker 2: got off stage, couldn't find the door, didn't know where
- 14:13Speaker 2: to go. But it sounds pretty bad. It sounds like
- 14:16Speaker 2: he might not have that much time left if it
- 14:19Speaker 2: spread that. And he's in great pain and suffering a lot.
- 14:24Speaker 2: So anyway, the Apple event is one o'clock today. And
- 14:26Speaker 2: then tonight, about eight o'clock, this Republican midterm convention starts.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You know, the New York delegation is down there. They
- 14:34Speaker 2: were a little surprised at their seating. The New York
- 14:37Speaker 2: delegation was put all the way in the back. That's
- 14:41Speaker 2: not a good sign. Maybe the Republican National Committee has
- 14:47Speaker 2: just written off New York. Although, as we mentioned in
- 14:50Speaker 2: the first hour, Bruce Blakeman, latest poll. This is the
- 14:54Speaker 2: real polls, not these fake public polls. The real polls,
- 14:56Speaker 2: the internal polls. Bruce Blakeman now within four points. He
- 15:00Speaker 2: was 25 points behind. Then he was 20 points behind.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Then he was 10 points behind. Latest poll, he's four
- 15:06Speaker 2: points behind. And the campaign didn't really start yet. He's
- 15:10Speaker 2: been campaigning hard, but it really heats up now after
- 15:14Speaker 2: Labor Day. So it looks like Blakeman has an excellent
- 15:17Speaker 2: shot at winning. Hey, we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710
- 15:19Speaker 2: is the number.
- 15:20Speaker 4: 800-321-0710. The Mark Simone Show, now 9 till noon weekdays
- 15:32Speaker 4: on 710WOR.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to Joe Elmwood Park. Joe,
- 15:40Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 15:42Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark.
- 15:42Speaker 7: Last week, our beautiful governor put a legislation that you
- 15:47Speaker 7: could take your cocktails out of the restaurant. Like, we
- 15:51Speaker 7: don't have enough drunks, and now we've got potheads on
- 15:53Speaker 7: the road. Instead of lowering our taxes and lowering our
- 15:56Speaker 7: utility bills.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Well, the restaurant's kind of lobbied for that because if
- 16:01Speaker 2: they could have drinks to go, they can make a
- 16:03Speaker 2: lot more money.
- 16:04Speaker 8: True.
- 16:05Speaker 7: And, oh, on 60 Minutes, why don't you have Pierce
- 16:08Speaker 7: Morgan or Ricky Gervais for Andy Rooney's spot?
- 16:13Speaker 2: No, I think I don't want it. Pierce Morgan, he's
- 16:17Speaker 2: a little annoying. Yeah, Ricky Gervais would be good, but
- 16:20Speaker 2: he's too big. He's too big to do it. They've
- 16:21Speaker 2: been offering it. Remember the old Andy Rooney? Did you
- 16:24Speaker 2: ever notice that spot? They asked Seinfeld to do it.
- 16:27Speaker 2: He's too big, way too big to do that. Ricky Gervais,
- 16:30Speaker 2: too big to do that. Let's go to Ralph in Manhattan. Ralph,
- 16:34Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 16:36Speaker 9: You know, Mark, I don't buy that conspiracy theory that
- 16:39Speaker 9: it's been covered up, the ground zero thing. You know,
- 16:43Speaker 9: you would think in 25 years time, the thing would
- 16:45Speaker 9: come out. Why now? And how did they?
- 16:49Speaker 2: Because it was covered up and it was buried in
- 16:52Speaker 2: boxes in the basement. Bloomberg's not going to bother. de
- 16:55Speaker 2: Blasio never showed up, but he's not looking through anything. Mamdani,
- 17:00Speaker 2: he's trying to discredit Giuliani. He's trying to discredit Pataki
- 17:03Speaker 2: and all those. people, and it's a good way to
- 17:06Speaker 2: try to discredit them. So he found it.
- 17:08Speaker 9: Well, that's the whole thing. Mamdani taking the advantage of
- 17:12Speaker 9: the whole thing and coming out with this at this time.
- 17:15Speaker 9: You got to look with a jaundiced eye at this thing,
- 17:17Speaker 9: don't you think?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, listen, it's a good thing to release
- 17:21Speaker 2: the truth and let us know what happened, but his
- 17:23Speaker 2: motives are bad here, but it's a good thing in
- 17:26Speaker 2: the end, I guess. Let's go to John in Long Island. John,
- 17:29Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 17:30Speaker 3: Okay, Mark, thank you. Love your show every day.
- 17:33Speaker 9: Thanks.
- 17:34Speaker 3: The other day, you brought up the expansion of the
- 17:37Speaker 3: White House, Mark, okay? And I don't think that even
- 17:42Speaker 3: the Democrats don't understand. He's doing a favor to the
- 17:45Speaker 3: future generations and the future administrations of presidents of the
- 17:49Speaker 3: United States. What he's building there, I've seen the renderings,
- 17:52Speaker 3: it's going to be gorgeous.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's Trump.
- 17:54Speaker 5: It's Trump.
- 17:55Speaker 2: They don't like Trump.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Well, yeah, but I'm just talking about the building itself.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Years ago... I'm an architect. The standard of designing concrete
- 18:05Speaker 3: was 4,000 pounds per square inch. When they built the
- 18:09Speaker 3: new Freedom Tower, that was designed with a whole new
- 18:12Speaker 3: aspect of concrete science at 15,000 pounds per square inch.
- 18:17Speaker 3: I can imagine now what they're building for the expansion
- 18:21Speaker 3: over there at the White House. It's going to be
- 18:23Speaker 3: something really amazingly durable and resistant.
- 18:25Speaker 2: He's using what they call nuclear concrete. which is used
- 18:30Speaker 2: in nuclear plants. Apparently, it's absolutely indestructible. Trump's saying you
- 18:35Speaker 2: can take a jackhammer and go at it for two
- 18:37Speaker 2: days and not even make a mark on it. The
- 18:40Speaker 2: reason he's doing that is he believes Democrats will try
- 18:42Speaker 2: to tear down his ballroom. So this nuclear concrete and
- 18:45Speaker 2: this very, very special kind of steel you can't remove
- 18:48Speaker 2: will make it impossible to tear it down. Let's go
- 18:52Speaker 2: to Robert in Manhattan. Robert, how are you doing?
- 18:55Speaker 8: Very good, Mark. How are you doing? Good. Everybody asks
- 18:58Speaker 8: you how you're doing.
- 18:58Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 19:01Speaker 8: No, it's fine.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Remember Bob Grant, he'd get mad when he asked that.
- 19:06Speaker 2: He'd yell at you. It's fine.
- 19:09Speaker 8: There's so much disinformation out there about the data centers market.
- 19:14Speaker 8: Out of control. First of all, people will be very
- 19:19Speaker 8: much surprised to know that 19 enterprise carrier class data centers...
- 19:27Speaker 8: exist right now in lower manhattan.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Yeah we mentioned that the other day actually.
- 19:33Speaker 8: 22 an entire city.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Block yeah we already have we already.
- 19:38Speaker 8: Years and are expanded all the time nobody cares we
- 19:41Speaker 8: have 72 data centers in all of the five boroughs yeah.
- 19:43Speaker 2: We've mentioned that they're all over the place in new york.
- 19:46Speaker 8: Oh i didn't know you mentioned that.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. But we have data centers.
- 19:51Speaker 2: They're right in New York City. There's a couple in Manhattan.
- 19:54Speaker 2: We've already had data centers all over. These are just
- 19:56Speaker 2: bigger data centers. They will make a little more noise.
- 19:58Speaker 2: The reason I guess you didn't notice them in Manhattan,
- 20:01Speaker 2: who's going to notice noise in Manhattan? I don't know.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Wherever you live in New York City, sometimes there's a
- 20:07Speaker 2: noise outside your window in the middle of the night
- 20:08Speaker 2: all night. It's Con Edison drilling, digging up the street
- 20:12Speaker 2: or something like that. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 20:15Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 20:16Speaker 3: Hey, thanks, Mark. You know, this AI thing is real because,
- 20:19Speaker 3: you know, one person, Greg Gutfeld, was way ahead of
- 20:22Speaker 3: the field in this stuff. But I saw the guy
- 20:24Speaker 3: on Fox this morning saying that they put AI in
- 20:27Speaker 3: two or three solitary confinement positions and And those three
- 20:32Speaker 3: AI solitary confinements found a way to hack out of
- 20:36Speaker 3: their solitary confinement, merge with each other, and start hacking
- 20:40Speaker 3: into other stuff. And Cyberdyne is coming. I'm telling you.
- 20:43Speaker 3: They better watch out.
- 20:44Speaker 5: All right.
- 20:44Speaker 8: Calm down. Calm down.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Take it easy. Everything will be fine.
- 20:47Speaker 3: And here's one for you. My gas went up 20
- 20:50Speaker 3: cents overnight. It's now 390 down here.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 20:53Speaker 9: Wait.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Give me a minute. I'm just shaking up here.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I talked to Vincent yesterday afternoon or yesterday evening. What
- 21:00Speaker 3: do you mean you talked to Vincent?
- 21:01Speaker 2: What do you mean you talked to Vincent?
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah, he and I talk almost every single week about
- 21:06Speaker 3: fishing and all kinds of stuff.
- 21:07Speaker 2: How did you get Vincent's number?
- 21:09Speaker 3: That's a long story, but I got it. Anybody can
- 21:13Speaker 3: look me up. I had my own TV radio show
- 21:15Speaker 3: for 25 years. You and I spoke a bit. Oh,
- 21:17Speaker 3: that's right.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It was called The Tonight Show, right? You hosted that?
- 21:22Speaker 3: That's right.
- 21:22Speaker 2: What was it called?
- 21:24Speaker 3: And Jay Leno beat me out of it. That's right.
- 21:27Speaker 2: What was the show called?
- 21:27Speaker 3: It was called The Fishing Line. I did a fishing show.
- 21:32Speaker 3: You and I had this conversation about how much you
- 21:33Speaker 3: hate fishing and stuff like that. I don't hate it.
- 21:36Speaker 2: It's a little boring. If you're a big drinker, it's great.
- 21:38Speaker 2: You sit there and drink while you fish.
- 21:42Speaker 3: In a lawn chair at Field 6 at Jones Beach.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, if you like sitting in a lawn chair drinking beer,
- 21:46Speaker 2: it's a great hobby.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Soak some clams looking for striped bass. But if you
- 21:49Speaker 3: know what you're doing, it's very exciting and very profitable.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Calm down. Exciting is not the word.
- 21:58Speaker 8: Enjoyable.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Thanks, Mark.
- 21:59Speaker 9: Exciting.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I don't know. Anyway, thanks for calling. Hey, when we
- 22:02Speaker 2: come back, Ann Coulter will be with us next. Lots
- 22:05Speaker 2: to talk to her about. Coming up on 710WOR. Live
- 22:10Speaker 2: from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 22:14Speaker 8: Mark Zamar.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author, the great columnist. You know,
- 22:20Speaker 2: she's got a Rumble channel, too, with a lot of
- 22:22Speaker 2: good stuff on it. Check out her Rumble channel. Follow
- 22:25Speaker 2: her on Twitter. And even better is Substack. where she's
- 22:28Speaker 2: got her columns, she's got videos and podcasts and everything,
- 22:32Speaker 2: at anncoulter.substack.com, anncoulter.substack.com. Ann Coulter, how are you doing? Fantastic.
- 22:41Speaker 6: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 22:42Speaker 2: I'm good. Are you following this Lindsay Clancy stuff?
- 22:46Speaker 6: Yes, I wrote about it last week.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Oh, that's what I thought. But why did this, there's
- 22:51Speaker 2: a lot of murders all the time, and why did
- 22:54Speaker 2: this grip everybody so much?
- 22:58Speaker 6: Well, apparently a lot of women say that at any
- 23:01Speaker 6: moment they could get depressed and start committing triple homicides,
- 23:06Speaker 6: which is why I think we need to reconsider this
- 23:09Speaker 6: idea that a woman could be president.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Oh, wait a minute. That's a bit of a.
- 23:14Speaker 6: I mean, there are hundreds of them. It's not just
- 23:16Speaker 6: that you can have psychopaths that are males or females.
- 23:18Speaker 6: But when you have hundreds of women... I mean, you
- 23:21Speaker 6: don't have hundreds of men standing outside the courtroom for, you.
- 23:26Speaker 8: Know.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Ted Bundy, or the example I used in my book
- 23:31Speaker 6: was John List. Remember him? He slaughters his whole family,
- 23:35Speaker 6: and he was depressed. Where are all the men saying,
- 23:38Speaker 6: you don't understand, we're drowning, it's our hormones? You know,
- 23:41Speaker 6: that used to be the most sexist, misogynistic, retrograde thing
- 23:47Speaker 6: you could say, that we can't have a woman as
- 23:49Speaker 6: president because of her hormones. And now they're saying, oh, yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 6: but our hormones do excuse a triple homicide. You never
- 23:58Speaker 6: know when it's going to hit.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Well, all right, all right. You know, there was that
- 24:03Speaker 2: crazy Whoopi Goldberg yelling and screaming at anybody that hates
- 24:07Speaker 2: Lindsay Clancy. Like Pete Hegseth, who doesn't want women in
- 24:11Speaker 2: the Army. But what about women in Congress?
- 24:15Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, of course they shouldn't be in the Army.
- 24:17Speaker 6: I don't understand after this whole... who are and you
- 24:21Speaker 6: know correctly sanity one in the end about uh.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Man in women's sport why why do great brains on
- 24:31Speaker 6: you know disconnect when it comes to a little bit
- 24:33Speaker 6: it's okay they can be a marine uh... girls can
- 24:36Speaker 6: bear as good as men when it comes to being
- 24:39Speaker 6: being a policeman uh... but no we they can not
- 24:43Speaker 6: compete against a man in women's sports no manifestly enough
- 24:46Speaker 6: and the evidence submitted uh... i would particularly note i
- 24:50Speaker 6: think it was by uh... the independent women's forms the
- 24:54Speaker 6: supreme court on the trans case on that was whether
- 24:57Speaker 6: the states could ban men from playing in girls sports
- 25:01Speaker 6: and it was signed by among others uh... never to
- 25:04Speaker 6: love of the great tennis star uh... and they just
- 25:07Speaker 6: went through The scientific evidence on everything you couldn't even
- 25:12Speaker 6: imagine had something to do with the testosterone that hits
- 25:16Speaker 6: the fetus in the womb. From the moment little boys
- 25:20Speaker 6: are born, no matter what they may later say they
- 25:23Speaker 6: feel like they were in the wrong body for, they
- 25:25Speaker 6: have stronger, longer bones. They have much more muscle strength.
- 25:31Speaker 6: They are physically larger. And even apart from size and shape,
- 25:36Speaker 6: they're just bigger. stronger and more muscular so of course
- 25:39Speaker 6: they shouldn't be in the military or police but people
- 25:43Speaker 6: seem to think well it's one thing one thing to
- 25:46Speaker 6: have a girl swim against a guy but of course
- 25:48Speaker 6: she can go you know join the military and fight
- 25:53Speaker 6: with a jihadist face to face i mean you see
- 25:55Speaker 6: these cases all the time particularly in new york the
- 25:58Speaker 6: police are very active um because we have a lot
- 26:01Speaker 6: of criminals uh With a woman being attacked and, oh,
- 26:06Speaker 6: just please, God, let her partner be a male so
- 26:09Speaker 6: we can rush in and save her, when you have
- 26:12Speaker 6: two female cops together, they're often just being taken down
- 26:15Speaker 6: by one criminal. It's never like it looks in law
- 26:18Speaker 6: and order where pretty young girls are running along because
- 26:22Speaker 6: of some karate trick, taking down a 300-pound male. It's absurd,
- 26:28Speaker 6: and I don't know why people's brains shut off. Stop
- 26:31Speaker 6: treating women like victims. We're not victims.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I will not be a part of this sexist conversation.
- 26:37Speaker 8: How do you like that?
- 26:41Speaker 2: I have to cover myself here. No, I know what
- 26:44Speaker 2: you're saying. Well, it makes sense. Hey, tonight they're having
- 26:49Speaker 2: this Republican midterm convention. It's a wonderful idea. It makes
- 26:53Speaker 2: a lot of sense. But who the hell is going
- 26:54Speaker 2: to see it? Where is it going to be seen?
- 26:56Speaker 4: I think the.
- 27:01Speaker 6: The left-wing media may be doing us a favor by
- 27:04Speaker 6: not broadcasting this. No matter how much you love him
- 27:09Speaker 6: and think other people should love him, the Trump brand
- 27:13Speaker 6: is not helping in the midterm elections. His popularity is
- 27:17Speaker 6: as low as it's ever been. I think a lot
- 27:21Speaker 6: of Republicans would be much better off running and having
- 27:24Speaker 6: people not remember who the guy at the top of
- 27:26Speaker 6: the ticket is.
- 27:27Speaker 2: But my point, there's no networks covering it. Fox will
- 27:32Speaker 2: show it, but that's kind of useless. They already have
- 27:34Speaker 2: the Fox voters, so they're preaching to the choir there.
- 27:38Speaker 2: So it's a lot of time and money and expense,
- 27:41Speaker 2: and nobody will see this thing?
- 27:44Speaker 6: Just pause to note how classic Fox this is. Will
- 27:49Speaker 6: it hurt Republicans?
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Let's do it.
- 27:53Speaker 6: That's fantastic. I'm glad they're showing it.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Fantastic. I don't know who the scheduler is, but it's
- 27:58Speaker 2: on against the opening night first game of the NFL season,
- 28:02Speaker 2: which is the biggest game of all. It's the Super
- 28:05Speaker 2: Bowl champions battling each other again. Don't you think somebody
- 28:09Speaker 2: should be getting yelled at for this scheduling, putting it
- 28:11Speaker 2: on literally?
- 28:13Speaker 6: I think somebody should be getting yelled at for thinking
- 28:16Speaker 6: of it at all. I mean, Trump should go back and,
- 28:19Speaker 6: you know, concentrate on, I don't know, his ballroom and
- 28:21Speaker 6: how he's ever going to get us out of Iran.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Iran, you can understand. You don't want them to have
- 28:27Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon.
- 28:30Speaker 6: Yes, and boy, we sure have taken care of that.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Well, we did. We got rid of their nuclear stuff.
- 28:35Speaker 2: We got them pretty much helpless right now.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Every country in the world now that could possibly be
- 28:42Speaker 6: a threat, that some president could decide he wants to
- 28:46Speaker 6: look macho and start bombing, is now desperately trying to
- 28:49Speaker 6: develop a nuke, because the lesson of the Iran war is,
- 28:52Speaker 6: we won't touch you if you have a nuke. No
- 28:56Speaker 6: mean comments to North Korea. No, in fact, Trump is
- 28:59Speaker 6: going to talk about the beloved North Koreans. No one
- 29:04Speaker 6: will go after any country with a nuke. The only
- 29:07Speaker 6: way to protect yourself is to have a nuke.
- 29:10Speaker 8: Wow.
- 29:10Speaker 2: You know, you seem to be a little anti-Trump. Look
- 29:13Speaker 2: how I picked up on that.
- 29:14Speaker 6: No, he's done some great things. The Iran war is
- 29:17Speaker 6: a disaster and it's going to kill us in the midterms.
- 29:20Speaker 6: And those of us who are against it and can
- 29:22Speaker 6: see the writing on the wall from the beginning are
- 29:25Speaker 6: a little annoyed that people won't just acknowledge the truth
- 29:28Speaker 6: and maybe we can finally someday, other than weirdly... Obama,
- 29:33Speaker 6: and he did increase troops in Afghanistan, so I hold
- 29:35Speaker 6: that against him, but get a president who will concentrate
- 29:38Speaker 6: on our country for a while. and stop, you know,
- 29:41Speaker 6: flinging our military abroad and, you know, wither the Sunnis and, yes,
- 29:45Speaker 6: we have to put together the Balkans. Please, just finally
- 29:49Speaker 6: do something. 100% pay attention to our country. That is
- 29:53Speaker 6: what Trump ran on. That is why I wrote in
- 29:56Speaker 6: Trump We Trust, He was finally a candidate of either party,
- 30:00Speaker 6: saying he was going to, well, seal the border, enforce
- 30:03Speaker 6: immigration laws, bring jobs back, care about the manufacturing base,
- 30:08Speaker 6: and not start pointless wars abroad. So it's a big
- 30:12Speaker 6: betrayal from what was a winning message and something I
- 30:16Speaker 6: guess I am still waiting for.
- 30:18Speaker 2: All right, but in his betrayal defense, he did say
- 30:22Speaker 2: in millions of interviews for 40 years, he would go
- 30:24Speaker 2: after Iran. He has been saying that for 40 years,
- 30:26Speaker 2: pretty consistently. He always said that.
- 30:29Speaker 6: You know, he says everything.
- 30:32Speaker 2: All right, I forgot about.
- 30:36Speaker 7: That.
- 30:37Speaker 2: But anyway, Ann Coulter, the Rumble channel, it's doing well,
- 30:41Speaker 2: and you've got a new video tomorrow?
- 30:42Speaker 6: It's doing great. It'll be live. We're going back at
- 30:45Speaker 6: least this week. I'm not sure if I'll stick to Thursdays,
- 30:47Speaker 6: but Thursday, so tomorrow at 5 p.m.
- 30:49Speaker 9: Live.
- 30:51Speaker 6: And I'm going to talk about a lot of things,
- 30:54Speaker 6: but also will be interviewing a former New York City
- 30:56Speaker 6: police officer on one thing, 9-11, since he was here then.
- 31:03Speaker 6: But mostly I want to talk to him about flock cameras,
- 31:06Speaker 6: which I am a huge favor of and in favor of.
- 31:09Speaker 6: And this is just a ridiculous moral panic.
- 31:12Speaker 2: All right. Well, that's a good topic. Will everybody be
- 31:14Speaker 2: watching Ann Coulter's Rumble channel? There's stuff up there now
- 31:18Speaker 2: you can watch, but tomorrow, the new stuff. Ann Coulter
- 31:21Speaker 2: on Rumble. Make sure you follow her on Twitter. And
- 31:23Speaker 2: her Substack is very good. It's anncoulter.substack.com. Go sign up there.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Ann Coulter, thanks for being with us.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone. Bye-bye.
- 31:34Speaker 8: All right.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, don't forget, coming up at noon today,
- 31:38Speaker 2: Buck Sexton, Clay Travis. Do you see that piece in
- 31:41Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal? Big article about their show. They'll
- 31:45Speaker 2: be on at noon. Then at 3 o'clock, you've got
- 31:46Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America. Sean Hannity.
- 31:50Speaker 2: You got Jesse Kelly at six. The very funny Jimmy
- 31:55Speaker 2: Fela every night at nine o'clock. And I'm here now
- 31:59Speaker 2: three hours, nine to noon every day on 710. Now,
- 32:04Speaker 2: nine till noon weekday.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Smart Simone.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Only on 710WOR.
- 32:11Speaker 2: That's right. It's three hours every day. Oh, I'm getting
- 32:14Speaker 2: used to it. I'm starting to get used to it.
- 32:16Speaker 2: It's three hours every day, nine to noon. Now, listen.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It's still summer. Fall begins. Autumn officially begins two weeks
- 32:27Speaker 2: from today. You got two more weeks of summer. Two
- 32:30Speaker 2: weeks from today is the first day of fall. It's
- 32:32Speaker 2: going to be... Warm. It's going to actually be humid.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Very humid. 84 degrees today. You know, in a couple
- 32:38Speaker 2: of weeks, you won't hear that word humid anymore. You'll
- 32:41Speaker 2: never have to worry about it again for six months. Hey,
- 32:45Speaker 2: we're out of time. I'll be back tomorrow, every weekday,
- 32:48Speaker 2: 9 to noon, right here on 710WOR.
