- 2:48Speaker 4: go flowiv dot com.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Uh, before we get to a little LSU football, I
- 2:55Speaker 3: did want to get y'all's take on this. And I
- 2:57Speaker 3: saw this come across the wire DELI had it before
- 3:00Speaker 3: I saw it anywhere else, but it certainly started to
- 3:03Speaker 3: make the rounds. The NCAA is exploring a significant change
- 3:08Speaker 3: to its eligibility rules. The proposal creates an age based standard.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Athletes would have five years of eligibility from their nineteenth
- 3:17Speaker 3: birthday or high school graduation, no red shirts or waivers,
- 3:24Speaker 3: so you got five years. You can play in college
- 3:27Speaker 3: football for five years. So no more red shirting, no more.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Let's grant this guy a waiver because he got hurt
- 3:33Speaker 3: in this season, and seventh year seniors that goes away.
- 3:38Speaker 3: But everybody is going to have another year to play. Now, you, Matthew,
- 3:42Speaker 3: are somebody that was in college for five years, right,
- 3:46Speaker 3: so you you know you red shirted, so you had
- 3:48Speaker 3: that process, so you know exactly kind of what this is.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Like.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I actually like this because, well, you can already play
- 3:56Speaker 4: how many games can you play?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Four? Yeah?
- 3:58Speaker 3: So like when we were playing, it's like if you
- 4:00Speaker 3: played it all right, it was at all I think
- 4:02Speaker 3: it was one play now, okay, that's what I thought too,
- 4:06Speaker 3: Like four you can that's a lot four full games.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I mean that's you know, thirty three point three three
- 4:13Speaker 3: three thirty.
- 4:14Speaker 2: O the season.
- 4:15Speaker 3: But I like this because let's get done with the waivers.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Let's get done with. Hey, we're in this situation because
- 4:22Speaker 3: like this guy's played four games, he can't play five,
- 4:24Speaker 3: he's got a red shirt. Let's just let them have
- 4:27Speaker 3: five years, five years across the board.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It's easy. We can figure it out now. The age
- 4:32Speaker 2: part of it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Nineteen I went to evangel I don't know how well
- 4:35Speaker 3: that would have done for us, but you were kidding.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I turned nineteen to DIREGRESSI high school sophomore. Uh So,
- 4:44Speaker 3: if this does pass, it makes a lot of sense.
- 4:46Speaker 3: That way, we don't have to worry about the waivers. Like,
- 4:49Speaker 3: I get it. I understand why you want it, But dude,
- 4:52Speaker 3: if you're twenty six in college, you need to be
- 4:54Speaker 3: going to indeed dot com.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It's time to move on and this gets rid of that.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Did it mention anything about medical? Yeah, they're talking about it.
- 5:09Speaker 2: That's a waiver. Medical is a waiver. Yeah, got it.
- 5:13Speaker 4: I mean there's all sorts of flight ways that people
- 5:15Speaker 4: are getting eligibility right now, right so, you know, who
- 5:19Speaker 4: knows what waiver they could be talking about. I mean,
- 5:23Speaker 4: I certainly like any rule that they can put on
- 5:26Speaker 4: college football and college athletics. I'm I'm for it. Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 4: I'm for it. Because it's a it's a train wreck
- 5:32Speaker 4: right now. It's a disaster.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 3: And then the proposal for the transfer is that you
- 5:35Speaker 3: kind of have what we always talked about. You get
- 5:37Speaker 3: that one time, you know, a wildcard. Here, I'm turning
- 5:41Speaker 3: it in transfer. Now you can do it twice if
- 5:44Speaker 3: you transfer, but then you graduate. If you graduate, you
- 5:47Speaker 3: can have a grad transfer.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Again.
- 5:50Speaker 3: That cuts down on so much of the every single year.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm going to go in the portal and I'm going
- 5:54Speaker 3: to hold these teams hostage. And I like it, dude
- 5:57Speaker 3: one time, because like for you, if you would have
- 6:01Speaker 3: ever transferred, I would have never blamed you. You were
- 6:04Speaker 3: good enough to play almost anywhere in the country. You said,
- 6:07Speaker 3: behind the number one overall pick, if you wanted to leave,
- 6:10Speaker 3: I would have been, like, I get it, I understand,
- 6:13Speaker 3: like not all transfers are bad.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Like that would have made a life.
- 6:16Speaker 3: If Garrett nuss Meyer, when he was sitting behind Jayden
- 6:18Speaker 3: Daniels wanted to leave, I would not have blamed him
- 6:20Speaker 3: because he wanted to play, want to be a part
- 6:22Speaker 3: of it.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Now.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I appreciate y'all staying and you know, playing your career
- 6:25Speaker 3: out here, obviously, but that like those make sense. That's
- 6:28Speaker 3: that's what it's for that one time. Ha, I'm gonna
- 6:30Speaker 3: turn this in because I'm gonna go somewhere. I'm gonna
- 6:32Speaker 3: go play, and you have that, and we don't have
- 6:35Speaker 3: the TJ. Finleys that play in seven schools.
- 6:37Speaker 4: It's not it's not about the kid that gets but
- 6:40Speaker 4: hurt because he doesn't start as freshman year, right, because
- 6:44Speaker 4: there's so much Yeah, god, you're gonna you're gonna make
- 6:48Speaker 4: me get get on my lawn, aren't you.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Shaking my fist? That the people driving too fast in
- 6:54Speaker 2: the neighborhood right, look up at those clouds and yeah,
- 6:56Speaker 2: at them, yell at him. You're gonna do that.
- 6:59Speaker 4: No, I love every any rule that you can that
- 7:01Speaker 4: you know, any common sense rule, because there's a lot
- 7:04Speaker 4: of common sense fixes in college athletics right now.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And that that's to me, that's one of them.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you can, like, I'm not against transferring, but I
- 7:14Speaker 4: am against being able having the ability to transfer, threatn
- 7:18Speaker 4: a transfer every single year. They'd look at any other
- 7:22Speaker 4: professional sports in the world, and that's what college football is.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It's professional sports. I got it.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Their contract deployees whatever they're getting paid to play a
- 7:29Speaker 4: sport and they're getting paid enough money to make a
- 7:32Speaker 4: living at playing a sport. But you look at any
- 7:34Speaker 4: other professional sport in the world, any other league that
- 7:36Speaker 4: actually knows what they're doing, and they would laugh at
- 7:41Speaker 4: you if you said, okay, every single person in the league, Hey,
- 7:46Speaker 4: Roger Goodell, every player in your league is gonna be
- 7:48Speaker 4: on a one year contract every single year and they're
- 7:50Speaker 4: all going to enter free agency every single year. They
- 7:53Speaker 4: would laugh at you. They're like this, this this league
- 7:56Speaker 4: cannot function that way. We cannot survive as a business
- 7:59Speaker 4: or as a league by doing that well. And college athletics,
- 8:04Speaker 4: the players have the ability to be a free agent
- 8:07Speaker 4: every single year by just saying, hey, I'm entering the
- 8:10Speaker 4: portal and that's it.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't make any sense.
- 8:13Speaker 4: They're like, from a business standpoint, that's not sustainable over
- 8:17Speaker 4: a long period of time. It's just not like there's
- 8:20Speaker 4: not enough money out there to do that. Maybe for
- 8:24Speaker 4: a short amount of time, you can put your blinders
- 8:27Speaker 4: on because it works for a little while, and yeah,
- 8:31Speaker 4: you see the TV numbers and they're great, and they're good,
- 8:33Speaker 4: so like it makes everybody feel good, but it's it's
- 8:36Speaker 4: a not sustainable over a long period of time. The
- 8:39Speaker 4: way college football is right now is to me, is
- 8:41Speaker 4: not sustainable. It's like dying from the inside out. You're
- 8:44Speaker 4: not going to see it for a little while, but
- 8:47Speaker 4: it kind of is unless you make these unless you
- 8:49Speaker 4: make some sort of just common sense changes. And I
- 8:52Speaker 4: get it, there's so much to fix, but there are
- 8:54Speaker 4: so many just like low hanging fruit on these common
- 8:59Speaker 4: sense things that can help the game, right and this,
- 9:03Speaker 4: this would be one of them. Yeah, you can't be
- 9:05Speaker 4: a free agent every single year. It doesn't make any sense.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Yeah, no other professional sport is that ever, literally ever
- 9:15Speaker 3: going to be the case, Like they would laugh you
- 9:16Speaker 3: out of.
- 9:16Speaker 4: The r And I get like the contrarian's going to
- 9:19Speaker 4: be like, well, coaches can do it, coaches can do
- 9:21Speaker 4: this and that, and.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Why can't the players? I get.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I understand like at a surface level how that argument
- 9:29Speaker 4: can be made. But coaches and players are not the same. Well,
- 9:35Speaker 4: there's like.
- 9:36Speaker 3: You have to there's only one hundred and thirty something coaches,
- 9:38Speaker 3: right compared to the thousands.
- 9:40Speaker 7: What you're saying is there is a hierarchy like literally
- 9:43Speaker 7: everything else in life.
- 9:44Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly, like okay, literally everything else.
- 9:49Speaker 7: Yeah, So it would be like, that'd be like me saying,
- 9:50Speaker 7: why don't I get the same salary as my balls?
- 9:53Speaker 7: Why can't I do that? Why did they get to
- 9:54Speaker 7: take off and I didn't? If you want to run
- 9:56Speaker 7: college football is a business, That's how business works. Sorry,
- 9:59Speaker 7: go be a coach up exactly.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Uh Don says two problems religious mission field work I e.
- 10:05Speaker 3: B YU and those individuals who choose to go to
- 10:07Speaker 3: military straight out of high school to serve the country
- 10:09Speaker 3: and come back on the g I bill. Well Don
- 10:11Speaker 3: that there is actually here in what we're talking about.
- 10:15Speaker 3: So no waiver, no red shirt. The exceptions that will
- 10:20Speaker 3: be permitted are a small group of outliers and those
- 10:24Speaker 3: are on maternity leave. Those who have military service are
- 10:28Speaker 3: religious missions. So they actually covered that. Okay, so military,
- 10:32Speaker 3: religious missions and maternity.
- 10:34Speaker 4: And again this is all covered by common sense. Yeah right,
- 10:38Speaker 4: this is a common sense thing. There's not one persons
- 10:42Speaker 4: that gonna be like, Nope, can't do that. Maternity leave, Nope,
- 10:45Speaker 4: that's one of your years, like military service. Not one
- 10:49Speaker 4: person's going to fight again, Like, yeah, it's all common sense.
- 10:52Speaker 3: If you go to b YU and you're going on
- 10:54Speaker 3: your Mormon mission, like we've seen a lot of people do. Yeah,
- 10:57Speaker 3: that's that's common sense, right, So you're flocks different than
- 11:00Speaker 3: somebody else's clock.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Mm hm.
- 11:04Speaker 4: So yeah, because you're crying because you're a five star
- 11:07Speaker 4: and you actually suck and you're not playing because for
- 11:12Speaker 4: some somehow, the people that think they can scout and
- 11:17Speaker 4: no talent from a high school level, they got it
- 11:20Speaker 4: wrong and give you an extra star.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Ultra five star, Ultra plus, Premium, Eliite five star,
- 11:30Speaker 3: extra plus extra.
- 11:32Speaker 2: What it's gotta watch? God? How do you? What are
- 11:38Speaker 2: you based that off of? There is nothing more satisfying
- 11:43Speaker 2: to me.
- 11:43Speaker 3: There wasn't I'm old now than when we play against
- 11:46Speaker 3: somebody and they'd be like, this guy's a former five star.
- 11:50Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 11:51Speaker 8: That's three years ago.
- 11:52Speaker 2: But that guy's got the worst first step I've ever seen.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that guy didn't even know how to take on
- 11:59Speaker 3: a block who rated him a five star?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Five star? What? What kind of stars were talking about?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Christmas stars?
- 12:07Speaker 3: Tiny little bitty stars were gonna have a whole show
- 12:11Speaker 3: on that.
- 12:14Speaker 2: It's not their fault though, no, it's not. Well, some
- 12:16Speaker 2: of them use it. It's the it's the numb nuts that
- 12:19Speaker 2: gave him thetars and her numb nuts all, I mean
- 12:23Speaker 2: a perfect wow, no notes out of tune.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Yep, you in the day to your point though about
- 12:34Speaker 7: it's like, well, who ranked them? Well, you know the services, okay,
- 12:37Speaker 7: but like who ranked them? You know that, you know,
- 12:39Speaker 7: like nobody knows who these people are.
- 12:42Speaker 4: You know, the guys that can go rank every player
- 12:45Speaker 4: from twenty five thousand high schools across the country.
- 12:48Speaker 8: So the industry rankings is what they call the industry ranked.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Oh, he's got a quick twitch. Look at the top
- 12:55Speaker 2: of his route right there, he drops his hips.
- 12:57Speaker 9: I will be adding numb nuts to my arsenal. Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 9: it's gonna get yeah, yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I'll cite my work the first time, and then it's mine.
- 13:05Speaker 3: That's always the role, right, So it works by Conflin said,
- 13:07Speaker 3: I'm nuts and that's it.
- 13:08Speaker 2: That's it. Last time, it's going to be mine.
- 13:13Speaker 9: I'm with anything that puts some guardrails on the wild
- 13:15Speaker 9: wild West. That's happening right now.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Just like you said, yeah, doesn't it You give players, Hey,
- 13:21Speaker 3: we still got you. Yeah, you got to transfer five years.
- 13:24Speaker 3: If you graduate, you got to right. And then for coaches,
- 13:28Speaker 3: it's more stability. It's not the ultimate stability.
- 13:30Speaker 2: That they used to have. Yeah, but it's somewhere in
- 13:32Speaker 2: the middle.
- 13:33Speaker 7: Right, you made the comment of uh, or you just
- 13:36Speaker 7: brought up that it's it's five years from like when
- 13:39Speaker 7: you leave high school or whatever.
- 13:40Speaker 6: And there's a couple of comments on.
- 13:41Speaker 7: The chat it's like, ah, yes, twenty four year old's
- 13:44Speaker 7: playing against nineteen year olds. Okay, they know they make
- 13:47Speaker 7: this argument all the time in high school.
- 13:48Speaker 8: And I get it.
- 13:49Speaker 6: In high school.
- 13:49Speaker 7: If you got a nineteen year old played against fourteen
- 13:51Speaker 7: and fifteen year olds, those kids are not physically developed.
- 13:54Speaker 7: You're a grown ass man when you're nineteen years old. Sorry,
- 13:57Speaker 7: I'll just talk about Well, of course they're good. They're
- 13:59Speaker 7: twenty four played against the nineteen year olds.
- 14:01Speaker 4: So what Yeah, well once you can once you can
- 14:04Speaker 4: die for your country, like you can you're everyone's on
- 14:07Speaker 4: the equal.
- 14:07Speaker 7: You can you can die for your country, you can vote,
- 14:10Speaker 7: you can do all of these things. But you can't
- 14:11Speaker 7: play college football yet, Matt, because you're not twenty four.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Like I hate that.
- 14:14Speaker 9: Are you buy scratch offs?
- 14:16Speaker 6: You can buy.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Scratch also numb nuts?
- 14:21Speaker 6: Uh?
- 14:22Speaker 3: Guess what, nothing says you have to play as a
- 14:24Speaker 3: nineteen year old, Right, that's how it used to be.
- 14:27Speaker 3: You came in and you waited, and then when you
- 14:29Speaker 3: were twenty one, you went against the twenty four year olds.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Like mad did you had five stars, Jake, I gotta
- 14:34Speaker 4: play as a nineteen year old.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah, no, like you were sitting a.
- 14:37Speaker 8: Blood vantage because you red shirted a year your senior year.
- 14:40Speaker 4: No, I'm gonna I'm gonna go. I'm gonna change the schools.
- 14:45Speaker 4: They didn't play me. Everyone told me how good I
- 14:51Speaker 4: was my whole life.
- 14:53Speaker 2: But wait, that one's seven old seven tournament when nobody
- 14:56Speaker 2: was in pad that through dots they had that. One
- 14:58Speaker 2: high school evaluator there said that was the best he's
- 15:03Speaker 2: seen him for ten years.
- 15:05Speaker 7: He said he could tell that I could still throw
- 15:08Speaker 7: with the pastor rush. He could tell I know several
- 15:10Speaker 7: seven There was no past reach. But it doesn't matter.
- 15:13Speaker 8: He said.
- 15:13Speaker 4: It was having a little fun here on a Thursday morning.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Good luck to Murphy Samon. Joni is saying numb nuts
- 15:27Speaker 4: at a conversation.
- 15:29Speaker 9: You say, Jony, I said, I might have just missed it. Yeah,
- 15:36Speaker 9: they deserve that.
- 15:39Speaker 10: Old spam something else, and I couldn't think of one
- 15:43Speaker 10: for Murphy old spam, numb nuts and Jony.
- 15:53Speaker 3: The best part is like I don't even know, like
- 15:57Speaker 3: how saying numb nuts on air's view, but were just
- 16:00Speaker 3: we're rolling with it.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it's good funny to me.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, there's break, there's I think there's only
- 16:09Speaker 4: a certain there's only a couple of words or phrases
- 16:13Speaker 4: we can't say.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Yeah, just like few like.
- 16:19Speaker 3: George Carlin used to do the stand up on things
- 16:21Speaker 3: you couldn't and couldn't say and get away with. I
- 16:23Speaker 3: think it was we need to have our own segment
- 16:26Speaker 3: of things we can and can't, right.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I know there was a pretty famous episode of south
- 16:31Speaker 4: Park one time where yeah it became legal on Basic
- 16:36Speaker 4: Cable to say the bad word for for pooh y
- 16:43Speaker 4: s word guys, And they had a ticker in the corner.
- 16:46Speaker 4: And that's how many times can we say it in
- 16:48Speaker 4: one thirty minute episode?
- 16:49Speaker 2: I mean they get up to I.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Mean it was in the triple digits, I think, Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 4: I can't remember they celebrated it. Certainly don't celebrated guys anyway.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Don't know what this segment was.
- 17:08Speaker 9: We talked about eligible Actually, sir, then you.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Report you blow it up with them nuts?
- 17:16Speaker 9: Yeah, thanks a lot.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we were trying to stay on track. Now I do.
- 17:23Speaker 2: I look to finish the conversation. I like it.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Five years to play five, no red shirts, no waivers.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Know this, that and the other.
- 17:32Speaker 3: If you're you know, religious, mission or military, it's a
- 17:36Speaker 3: different conversation.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I like that as well. That's what it should be.
- 17:40Speaker 10: Everyone's gonna start going to be Yu's gonna turn more
- 17:44Speaker 10: of men.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Yeah, if we see that, that's just a step too far.
- 17:48Speaker 2: People. We're changing religion.
- 17:51Speaker 3: That's egregious, but it also gets people through college football. Now,
- 17:58Speaker 3: no more lingering on, No more taking scholarships from guys
- 18:02Speaker 3: in high school because guys in high school and getting
- 18:04Speaker 3: recruited like they were because you want to add older players,
- 18:07Speaker 3: which I got. I understood it. If I could add
- 18:09Speaker 3: a veteran and not a rookie. Yeah, but there's a
- 18:14Speaker 3: lot of two star recruits out there, and LSU's had
- 18:17Speaker 3: ten that have had long NFL careers that they might
- 18:21Speaker 3: not get that opportunity if it was these rules.
- 18:24Speaker 8: Back then, dead shamble its Max Johnson. Time to move on.
- 18:28Speaker 9: Tunnels, go to the NFL or put the FRIZ in.
- 18:31Speaker 8: Max and Johnson is a Georgia Southern.
- 18:33Speaker 2: No way yes, and there's no chance because.
- 18:36Speaker 7: Remember we talked about Finley. Finley finally decided that the
- 18:39Speaker 7: same year, right, a month ago. Yeah, no, Max Johnson
- 18:42Speaker 7: is enrolled at Georgia.
- 18:42Speaker 2: There's no way.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Yes it is.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It can't be right.
- 18:47Speaker 4: The lefty where's his brother? Probably is twenty twenty six.
- 18:52Speaker 4: We're talking about.
- 18:57Speaker 7: That nine Smier was his first year was twenty twenty,
- 19:01Speaker 7: so he got it. He was twenty twenty and twenty
- 19:03Speaker 7: twenty one at LSU. He was the year went to
- 19:06Speaker 7: A and M in twenty two, only played four games
- 19:08Speaker 7: because of an injury, so it's still only two years
- 19:11Speaker 7: A and M twenty three North Carolina one game in
- 19:15Speaker 7: twenty four because of injury, three games last year because
- 19:18Speaker 7: of injury. If I'm reading this right, he's actually only
- 19:21Speaker 7: played he's actually in his third year of eligibility. No sure, yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 7: this this will be his fourth year. Shut up technically,
- 19:31Speaker 7: so this is his last year.
- 19:32Speaker 2: It's his last ride. It has to be.
- 19:34Speaker 3: My gosh, Look, he's a great kid. I always enjoyed
- 19:38Speaker 3: talking to him when he was here. But at some point,
- 19:46Speaker 3: so you gotta turn it around this year. On that note,
- 19:50Speaker 3: we'll take a break. More OTV when we come back here.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Love from the Raising Kanes Studio. Off the bench, all right,

- 20:06Speaker 3: I've got a roll off dumpster in my front from
- 20:08Speaker 3: trash Rangers that when I was pulling out this morning,
- 20:11Speaker 3: I was like, oh no, I haven't got to put

- 22:58Speaker 9: You don't think I should.
- 22:59Speaker 7: I mean, if you're certain that's gonna happen. However, if
- 23:04Speaker 7: she loves them enough and that's how she wants to
- 23:05Speaker 7: go out. Yeah, just make plans ahead of time.
- 23:11Speaker 9: I'll say, body all before I go.
- 23:13Speaker 8: Yeah, you make plans ahead of time.
- 23:20Speaker 10: Irreplaceable employed, like from the inside.

- 23:48Speaker 9: How messed up was it that we were all counting
- 23:50Speaker 9: it down?
- 23:52Speaker 8: Oh yeah, I remember they were like, it's been this

- 24:09Speaker 3: didn't go so well. God, I can't believe they actually
- 24:14Speaker 3: did that.

- 24:16Speaker 7: our remote work.
- 24:17Speaker 6: It's not for that, Okay, it's not for that.

- 25:36Speaker 3: forward to that conversation.
- 25:38Speaker 2: And I know what the MIDWEK game was, We know
- 25:40Speaker 2: what the score ended up being.
- 25:41Speaker 3: We talked about it in lengked. That is something that
- 25:47Speaker 3: obviously Jay Johnson doesn't want. He talks about it often.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I love the way that he views midweek games and
- 25:52Speaker 3: how he wants to win every single one of them,
- 25:54Speaker 3: how important they are going to be. And look, you
- 25:55Speaker 3: dropped one too with Thoon Cookman. It was ten to seven.
- 25:57Speaker 3: They earned victory by the way. They were not get victory.
- 26:00Speaker 3: They went out there and they were hitting the baseball
- 26:02Speaker 3: had twelve hits on the NIE. But you are coming
- 26:05Speaker 3: off a couple of series wins in the SEC. You
- 26:08Speaker 3: beat Kentucky, you beat Tennessee, and now you have got
- 26:11Speaker 3: a trip to Ole Miss coming up, a team that
- 26:14Speaker 3: you know very well, they know you, you know them.
- 26:17Speaker 3: So a big series for LSU baseball coming up. And
- 26:19Speaker 3: we're gonna step away and catch up with coach Jay
- 26:22Speaker 3: Johnson when we come back here on OTV dofter bench,
- 26:27Speaker 3: All right, go to pelicanroof dot com website for Pelican
- 26:30Speaker 3: Roofing in Lafayette in Baton Rouge boots on the ground
- 26:33Speaker 3: both locations, not driving back and forth on the basin.
- 26:37Speaker 3: They are there in the local communities, always doing big
- 26:39Speaker 3: things in the local communities. They got the Mother's Day
- 26:43Speaker 3: roof give way. They've got the Veterans Day as well,
- 26:46Speaker 3: run with rufous where they raise money for a local
- 26:49Speaker 3: family to help that family in need and all the
- 26:52Speaker 3: money goes to that family. So sure we know what
- 26:56Speaker 3: they can do in the roofing game. They are the best.
- 26:58Speaker 3: They are the leader. That's why they have all the
- 26:59Speaker 3: five star reviews right there on the homepage. But it's
- 27:01Speaker 3: also the community that people in this state mean something
- 27:05Speaker 3: to them. Go to the website to find all that information.
- 27:07Speaker 3: That's pelicanroof dot com.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Pelican Roof is a part of a big part of
- 27:11Speaker 4: this community and they'd love to give back. But you know,
- 27:14Speaker 4: at the heart of everything, if you do need that
- 27:16Speaker 4: new roof, if you do need that roof of prayer,
- 27:18Speaker 4: make sure you working with Pelican Roof. Go their website,
- 27:21Speaker 4: see all the five star reviews. Let them help you
- 27:23Speaker 4: with their financing. They can do it all.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Pelicanroof dot com from the locker room to the airwaves,
- 27:46Speaker 5: gets off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 27:57Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTB here live from the
- 27:59Speaker 3: Race and Canes Studio. Always excited to catch up every
- 28:03Speaker 3: single Thursday with our guy, Jay Johnson, of course, head
- 28:05Speaker 3: baseball coach for the LSU Tigers.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Coach, we appreciate the time as always. Hope you're doing well,
- 28:11Speaker 2: doing good. How are you guys doing fantastic? And like
- 28:14Speaker 2: I said, excited to have this conversation.
- 28:16Speaker 3: What a weekend series LSU is coming off of. I mean,
- 28:20Speaker 3: you win Friday's game, which obviously you do that on
- 28:22Speaker 3: the road, you feel really good about where you're at,
- 28:25Speaker 3: even though you drop Saturday's game. Coach, Sunday's game one
- 28:28Speaker 3: of the wildest games that I can remember ever watching.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I mean, just a back and forth and then to
- 28:34Speaker 3: end up winning the game by ten runs, but so
- 28:37Speaker 3: much emotion, So many guys stepped up in big moments
- 28:41Speaker 3: in that game. I know for you, that had to
- 28:44Speaker 3: be something you enjoyed to see, you know, being down
- 28:46Speaker 3: to your last out, never giving up, finding a way
- 28:49Speaker 3: on the road. It gets a team that really really
- 28:51Speaker 3: wanted to beat you.
- 28:53Speaker 12: Yeah, no, doubt very proud of the players for what
- 28:55Speaker 12: they did to get us over the top in Sunday's game.
- 29:00Speaker 12: You know, there was a lot of adversity. He got
- 29:01Speaker 12: down early, kind of by our own, you know, mistakes
- 29:04Speaker 12: on defense. That's the pitching for the entire game on
- 29:08Speaker 12: Sunday with outstanding. You know, it's kind of an effort
- 29:11Speaker 12: from the mound where if you can get that, this
- 29:14Speaker 12: team is capable of winning every every Sunday game, which
- 29:17Speaker 12: is a huge deal. And then offensively, just no quit
- 29:21Speaker 12: and you know, playing in that ballpark, you know, actually
- 29:24Speaker 12: helped us out a little bit and we took advantage
- 29:27Speaker 12: of that. Obviously special performance by Cater and Beattie. Never
- 29:32Speaker 12: had a player at four home runs in a game,
- 29:34Speaker 12: and it was cool. You can kind of see it
- 29:36Speaker 12: coming Saturday. He took three really good at bats on Saturday,
- 29:39Speaker 12: walked wise, lined out the center, singled in his first
- 29:42Speaker 12: at bat, and Sunday homeward in the second at bat,
- 29:45Speaker 12: and just a great, great performance.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Coach, what's it like when you have a player like
- 29:50Speaker 4: that that you can kind of see it building and
- 29:52Speaker 4: then all of a sudden one day it's like you're
- 29:54Speaker 4: seeing beach balls out there, Like, what's it like as
- 29:56Speaker 4: a coach when you seem like the build up, the
- 29:58Speaker 4: work and then it all just like come together perfectly
- 30:01Speaker 4: one day.
- 30:02Speaker 12: Yeah, it's awesome. Sign me up for those days more often.
- 30:06Speaker 12: I think the football version, I think that'd be like
- 30:10Speaker 12: you throwing eight touchdowns or Jacob scoring like eight touchdowns
- 30:13Speaker 12: in a game, maybe nine or ten? Yeah, right, yeah, yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 12: it was, it was. It was awesome. And you know,
- 30:20Speaker 12: he's a great player. I mean, he's got a lot
- 30:22Speaker 12: of talent and you know believe he could be one
- 30:25Speaker 12: of the best players here in this program and be
- 30:27Speaker 12: a longtime pro player. And you know, he's finding his stride.
- 30:31Speaker 12: He had a good game on Tuesday, Like I said,
- 30:33Speaker 12: he had good at bats on Saturday, had a good
- 30:35Speaker 12: game this Tuesday. And that's a big lift for our
- 30:39Speaker 12: team and and for our offense because and we're gonna
- 30:41Speaker 12: need it, Like we're in a stretch here, we're playing
- 30:43Speaker 12: some really good offenses and so keeping up will be
- 30:46Speaker 12: really important. And you know, Kid's performance the other day
- 30:49Speaker 12: is one. No, I don't think anybody will ever forget.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, coach, And I'm glad you mentioned that, because when
- 30:54Speaker 3: you have a game like that, like sometimes you can
- 30:57Speaker 3: unfortunately do things maybe outside of your body in the
- 31:00Speaker 3: next game because you're like, man, I hit four home runs,
- 31:02Speaker 3: I'm going to change my approach. I'm gonna see if
- 31:04Speaker 3: I can hit four more home runs. And like we
- 31:06Speaker 3: see it so often in baseball. I know for you
- 31:09Speaker 3: you mentioned it on Tuesday. To see him come back
- 31:12Speaker 3: and go three for five, have good at bats and
- 31:15Speaker 3: still stay in that groove.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You know this, You've been in the game such a
- 31:18Speaker 2: long time. That's hard to do.
- 31:19Speaker 3: So that's as impressive as anything is the fact that
- 31:21Speaker 3: he could come back, didn't change his approach, stayed locked
- 31:25Speaker 3: in and got three hits on Tuesday.
- 31:27Speaker 12: Yeah, and it's just a sign of growing and that's
- 31:30Speaker 12: part of this thing. And you're still talking about a
- 31:33Speaker 12: young player on the year and a half into his
- 31:35Speaker 12: college career, and you know, he did get a lot
- 31:38Speaker 12: of playing time when you consider it was the national
- 31:40Speaker 12: championship team and a freshman, but you know it was
- 31:43Speaker 12: a part time starter, you know, number two catcher, and
- 31:47Speaker 12: then you know, got off to a good start this
- 31:49Speaker 12: year and then went through some growing pains and then
- 31:51Speaker 12: you know, got nicked up a little bit, as as
- 31:53Speaker 12: catchers do Yeah, and then it's been good to get
- 31:56Speaker 12: him back in there and going because our team team
- 31:58Speaker 12: needs that. And Cade's a strong character guy. You know,
- 32:01Speaker 12: you can coach him hard and he can take it,
- 32:05Speaker 12: and I am probably a little too hard on him sometimes,
- 32:08Speaker 12: but it's it's awesome to see some of the growth.
- 32:11Speaker 6: Coach.
- 32:11Speaker 4: I want to stick with this past week in a
- 32:13Speaker 4: little bit, just because it was such an incredible series,
- 32:15Speaker 4: and certainly Sunday was awesome. I don't think I've ever
- 32:17Speaker 4: seen a game that the team won by ten and
- 32:21Speaker 4: extra innings, and I gotta say it kind of to
- 32:25Speaker 4: me as a player, I would get a little bit
- 32:28Speaker 4: fired up seeing my head coach go get after the
- 32:30Speaker 4: ump a little bit. Coach, So you you had a
- 32:33Speaker 4: little some words on in the ninth inning this past weekend,
- 32:36Speaker 4: but after that, it just seemed like your team really
- 32:38Speaker 4: stepped up.
- 32:39Speaker 2: What do you contribute that to?
- 32:42Speaker 12: Yeah, I was very proud of them for that. But
- 32:45Speaker 12: like I was, I was obviously proved right because the
- 32:48Speaker 12: called third strike was a Kate Aarpedia. It's like, look,
- 32:50Speaker 12: if you just make the pitcher throw the ball in
- 32:52Speaker 12: the zone, he's going to hit a home run. No,
- 32:56Speaker 12: I it just it was one of those tipping point
- 32:59Speaker 12: deals where it's like the basketball coach is like, hey man,
- 33:03Speaker 12: I'm getting a technical failure. Like I mean it was.
- 33:07Speaker 12: It is a bad call. And in that park with
- 33:09Speaker 12: a hitter like you could see as locked in as
- 33:11Speaker 12: Caid was, It's like, hey man, like, if this guy
- 33:14Speaker 12: throws the ball in the zone, we could be ahead
- 33:16Speaker 12: by a run with reouts to go to win the game.
- 33:19Speaker 12: Like you can't make that call. And it's sometimes you
- 33:22Speaker 12: go out there and not know what's going to happen.
- 33:24Speaker 12: It's like, I mean, it was like all right, I'll
- 33:26Speaker 12: see you guys on the bus, I guess because like
- 33:28Speaker 12: I'm not not coming back on this one and just
- 33:32Speaker 12: proud of the team, and you know, somebody's asking me
- 33:34Speaker 12: about it. And they have this cool area at Tennessee
- 33:37Speaker 12: where I was able to like watch the game like
- 33:39Speaker 12: in real time. And most of the time you get
- 33:41Speaker 12: kicked out, like the feeling is like gosh, you're dead
- 33:43Speaker 12: and you're just like watching your life happen without you.
- 33:47Speaker 12: This time, I mean, I was jumping up and down
- 33:49Speaker 12: and pounding the table, and the sport administrator at Tennessee
- 33:53Speaker 12: is probably like, what is wrong with this, dude, But
- 33:56Speaker 12: I was proud of the guys for sure.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they certainly staffed up. Jay Johnson, head baseball coach.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Lsu is our guest here on OTB coach. Something else
- 34:05Speaker 3: I wanted to ask you about, Like, you've got three
- 34:07Speaker 3: guys that play catcher that are giving you competitive at bats,
- 34:11Speaker 3: and they're being competitive in almost everything they do. So
- 34:14Speaker 3: when you have a situation like that, are you trying
- 34:17Speaker 3: to find a way to get all three of those
- 34:18Speaker 3: guys in it? Does it change the rotation when you
- 34:21Speaker 3: have so many guys at one position that feel like
- 34:24Speaker 3: they're stepping up at the right time. What are those
- 34:26Speaker 3: conversations like with your other coaches to see how many
- 34:29Speaker 3: different ways maybe you can get all three of those
- 34:31Speaker 3: guys some at bats.
- 34:33Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean they're daily, even when you're playing for
- 34:36Speaker 12: the national title. As far as like what's best for today.
- 34:40Speaker 12: You know, when you have your best teams, you know
- 34:43Speaker 12: a little bit more like there's a little more clarity
- 34:45Speaker 12: to it, a little more simplicity to it. But you know,
- 34:48Speaker 12: we've been trying to kind of find our way through
- 34:50Speaker 12: the last month and a half here, and so we're
- 34:53Speaker 12: trying to get it right every day, and you know
- 34:56Speaker 12: those three guys, like you know, Cad obviously coming into
- 34:59Speaker 12: the season was clear really number one, and he's obviously
- 35:02Speaker 12: showing that again like right now, and we're happy about that.
- 35:06Speaker 12: You know, Omar is a talented of guys. I think
- 35:09Speaker 12: you can get past pro baseball to actually get to college.
- 35:12Speaker 12: And he's made a good impact. And really proud of Eddie,
- 35:16Speaker 12: you know, to step in and give us some help.
- 35:18Speaker 12: And you know, we're a little banged up right now.
- 35:21Speaker 12: So it's like this is a very fluid situation, like
- 35:24Speaker 12: the lineup for tomorrow is not clear at this time
- 35:28Speaker 12: because I got to see what guys are going to
- 35:30Speaker 12: be able to do. But knowing that those three guys
- 35:34Speaker 12: can give you something and they've all been nicked up
- 35:36Speaker 12: a little bit too, is really helpful. And I'm glad
- 35:39Speaker 12: you guys brought up the three and Eddie, like I mean,
- 35:42Speaker 12: you got on base four times the other night and
- 35:43Speaker 12: the start in five at bats, and he's just out
- 35:46Speaker 12: there competing and that's been a good lift. And good
- 35:49Speaker 12: news is all of them should be back next year,
- 35:51Speaker 12: so that's a good thing too.
- 35:52Speaker 6: So yeah, coach.
- 35:53Speaker 4: On Tuesday night, Mason Brown plays first base for you,
- 35:56Speaker 4: How do you think he did and how do you
- 35:57Speaker 4: think that first base position will play itself out here
- 36:00Speaker 4: in the near future.
- 36:02Speaker 12: Yeah, I think he did fine. I think he's a
- 36:04Speaker 12: really good baseball player. Another guy that you know, we'll
- 36:06Speaker 12: have here for a couple more years that I think
- 36:08Speaker 12: is going to emerge into that really classic, really good
- 36:12Speaker 12: college hitter at LSU and eventually be a pro defensively
- 36:17Speaker 12: in outfield er, first baseman. He's just one of those
- 36:19Speaker 12: guys that loves baseball and is going to give everything
- 36:23Speaker 12: he has to be the best player he can be,
- 36:25Speaker 12: So he fits really well for us here. I thought
- 36:28Speaker 12: he did fine. You know, we had the one pick play.
- 36:32Speaker 12: I couldn't tell if it was a bad thrower he
- 36:35Speaker 12: missed it. You had a ball hit hard at him
- 36:38Speaker 12: or just to the right of him. Sorry that that
- 36:40Speaker 12: got through for an RBI single, But that I mean
- 36:42Speaker 12: it was a hit. It wasn't a non play or
- 36:44Speaker 12: anything like that. But picked the ball out of the dirt,
- 36:48Speaker 12: you know, caught every ball that was thrown to him.
- 36:51Speaker 12: So I thought he did fine. How it goes is
- 36:54Speaker 12: probably still day by day. Like he's a big part
- 36:56Speaker 12: of our future and we seem to score runs when
- 36:59Speaker 12: he's in the lineup, so it's a guy I want
- 37:02Speaker 12: to play. Still have a lot of faith in Zach,
- 37:04Speaker 12: like we believed he was one of the better hitters
- 37:07Speaker 12: that we could have brought in this year that was
- 37:09Speaker 12: available at the time he was available. That's some good
- 37:12Speaker 12: at bats for us. Has struggled a little bit lately,
- 37:15Speaker 12: and you could kind of live with it as long
- 37:17Speaker 12: as the defense was good. Had a tough weekend defensively
- 37:19Speaker 12: against Tennessee. But you know, for us to be a
- 37:22Speaker 12: good team, we need both those guys to play well.
- 37:24Speaker 12: You know, we could roll Eddie over there, We could
- 37:26Speaker 12: roll them all over there. So we'll see. But the
- 37:28Speaker 12: goal is just to get all of them playing as
- 37:30Speaker 12: good as they can and then figure out what's best
- 37:32Speaker 12: for the team based on the pitching matchups and all that.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Yeah, coach, another player that we've talked about a lot
- 37:38Speaker 3: with you that is certainly back to his standard is
- 37:41Speaker 3: Zach Cowen on the mound.
- 37:43Speaker 2: And you know, when you have an injury in.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Your rotation, you're trying to find pieces to put together
- 37:48Speaker 3: to you know, be it Saturday, be it Sunday, come
- 37:50Speaker 3: in and close the game from the fifth inning on
- 37:52Speaker 3: or whatever the situation might be. He feels so important
- 37:56Speaker 3: to the ball club right now, and he feels like
- 37:58Speaker 3: he is going at that level that we've seen him
- 38:00Speaker 3: so many times in his college career.
- 38:02Speaker 12: Yeah, no doubt, I'm glad you brought that up. I
- 38:04Speaker 12: feel like his last two out I mean, as good
- 38:06Speaker 12: as he pitched last year, which was a big reason
- 38:09Speaker 12: we won the national championship. His last two outings maybe
- 38:13Speaker 12: his best two outings he's had here and in two
- 38:16Speaker 12: big SEC wins, you know, the previous Saturday against Kentucky
- 38:19Speaker 12: and then this Sunday against Tennessee, And a big part
- 38:23Speaker 12: of what we're doing. The confidence, the poise, the experience,
- 38:27Speaker 12: it's just like it's all there. And you know, it
- 38:30Speaker 12: was kind of a tough start to the year for him,
- 38:34Speaker 12: but he's really gotten back on track in league play,
- 38:37Speaker 12: and I mean he's pitched in three of our six
- 38:40Speaker 12: SEC wins. I don't think that's a coincidence at all.
- 38:43Speaker 12: And really looking forward to him continue to go out
- 38:46Speaker 12: there and contribute for us, because that gets us over
- 38:50Speaker 12: the top when you talk about having a chance to
- 38:51Speaker 12: win a series in league play.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Coach, a couple of weeks ago you lost Super More
- 38:55Speaker 4: and you've had to kind of it's been a lot
- 38:59Speaker 4: of people have to step up on a Sunday. But
- 39:02Speaker 4: the last two weeks you've won both games on Sunday
- 39:05Speaker 4: and you've scored seventeen runs and sixteen runs. Is that
- 39:08Speaker 4: just a team that understands that, hey, look, we're down
- 39:12Speaker 4: one of our starters that we had going into SEC play.
- 39:15Speaker 4: We got to pick it up on the offensive side
- 39:18Speaker 4: of things. It's just or is that just kind of
- 39:19Speaker 4: a coincidental thing that we just got hot at the
- 39:21Speaker 4: right time.
- 39:23Speaker 12: Yeah, No, I think there's some intentionality to it.
- 39:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:26Speaker 12: You know, confidence is a big deal in our sport.
- 39:29Speaker 12: It's a really, really, really really big deal. And I
- 39:34Speaker 12: think we tried to give them a blueprint of, like,
- 39:37Speaker 12: you know, your case and Evans on Friday, everybody feel
- 39:40Speaker 12: good about your chances on Friday, everybody obviously raises their hands.
- 39:43Speaker 12: He got William Schmidt on Saturday. Obviously, everybody feels good
- 39:46Speaker 12: about our chance to win with those two guys. And
- 39:48Speaker 12: then yeah, I mean, looking at it, it's sixteen seventeen
- 39:52Speaker 12: and I think we scored sixteen at Vanderbilt, So in
- 39:54Speaker 12: three of the four game threes in the SEC we've
- 39:58Speaker 12: really produced offensively. We're going to win if we score sixteen,
- 40:01Speaker 12: So like like just keep going. And you know, there's,
- 40:06Speaker 12: like I said, there's some development like happening in this
- 40:09Speaker 12: thing you're mentioning Cade, you know, Mason Brawn, Like we
- 40:14Speaker 12: got guys that are getting better and even some of
- 40:16Speaker 12: the returning players that were part of last year's championship.
- 40:19Speaker 12: And I think they understand, like that day they it
- 40:22Speaker 12: kind of has to go on them right now, you know.
- 40:24Speaker 12: And that was the tough deal about Tuesday is like
- 40:27Speaker 12: actually thought we were ready to play, playing well in
- 40:29Speaker 12: the game. We just couldn't get off the field very
- 40:32Speaker 12: often without giving up a run. And that seventh inning
- 40:34Speaker 12: got away from us on both sides of the ball.
- 40:36Speaker 12: And you know, lose to a team's convenience State tournament,
- 40:40Speaker 12: Like you know, it's how goes. Team that plays best
- 40:42Speaker 12: serves to win so offensively on game three is they
- 40:46Speaker 12: know they got to bring in and this is a
- 40:47Speaker 12: good challenge this weekend because this is this is the
- 40:49Speaker 12: best pitching staff we will have faced by far coming
- 40:51Speaker 12: this weekend.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and coach, that was actually going to be our
- 40:54Speaker 3: last question for you a team that we said it
- 40:57Speaker 3: before you came on. You know them well, they know
- 40:59Speaker 3: you well. Going to Oxford, Mississippi. Now this is none
- 41:02Speaker 3: of your doing, but I don't know if you've heard
- 41:04Speaker 3: LSU and Old Miss over the last couple of months,
- 41:06Speaker 3: they've had some back and forth. So even though it's
- 41:08Speaker 3: not your sport, probably gonna get a little bit of
- 41:11Speaker 3: that towards your team, kind of how you see Ole
- 41:15Speaker 3: miss as a baseball team and kind of what you're
- 41:17Speaker 3: expecting from the atmosphere there in Swayze.
- 41:20Speaker 12: Yeah, I think from their team standpoint, they hit a
- 41:25Speaker 12: lot of homers. They got a lot of power, you know,
- 41:28Speaker 12: that's part of it. Like you got a limits free
- 41:30Speaker 12: basis because they're gonna pop one every once in a while.
- 41:33Speaker 12: It's a small park like Tennessee. Tennessee seems to get
- 41:36Speaker 12: more ridicule for it, but they're actually very similar stadiums,
- 41:41Speaker 12: So you got that dynamic on the mound. Like I said,
- 41:45Speaker 12: they come at you with about well three really good starters,
- 41:49Speaker 12: but then they have a good bullpen as well, so
- 41:50Speaker 12: you're gonna have to grind to score runs. We do
- 41:53Speaker 12: think there's some small advantages for us in this that
- 41:58Speaker 12: we're going to go for and we're gonna try to
- 42:00Speaker 12: expose and they'll be essential on us coming out of
- 42:03Speaker 12: there if we're going to be successful. So I'm excited
- 42:06Speaker 12: to line that up with the team here over the
- 42:08Speaker 12: next forty eight hours or so before we go. As
- 42:12Speaker 12: far as the environment, like I've only played there once
- 42:15Speaker 12: and we swept and we played great in twenty twenty three,
- 42:18Speaker 12: and so I have very positive feelings about that place.
- 42:21Speaker 12: It is a really cool place, like I'd never the
- 42:24Speaker 12: only time I've ever been to Oxford was when we
- 42:26Speaker 12: played there in twenty twenty three, and you know, you
- 42:29Speaker 12: can see why they've had some success, won a national championship.
- 42:32Speaker 12: Like their building looks like a real football like building, honestly,
- 42:36Speaker 12: and like the player amenities and the fans are into it,
- 42:39Speaker 12: and so we're I guess I don't even know who
- 42:42Speaker 12: Morgan Wallen was, but I guess he was sitting next
- 42:44Speaker 12: to our dugout there last time before a concert, and
- 42:47Speaker 12: so I do now. Yeah, So it's it's cool. We're
- 42:52Speaker 12: looking forward to it, Like these hostile environments are one
- 42:55Speaker 12: of the reasons you want to play in these deals,
- 42:58Speaker 12: and at least since I've been here. That's brought out
- 43:00Speaker 12: the best in our program, and I hope it's the
- 43:02Speaker 12: same for these guys. It certainly did last week.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Coach September nineteenth.
- 43:07Speaker 3: If you want to be my plus one in the
- 43:09Speaker 3: radio booth to go back to Oxford, Mississippi when you
- 43:12Speaker 3: don't have to play a game that the invitees out there.
- 43:15Speaker 12: All right, I'm holding you to that, like I'm definitely
- 43:18Speaker 12: holding you to that. Okay, Yeah, I can't imagine why
- 43:22Speaker 12: they're not happy to see all.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I don't know. Go on, Coach, we appreciated every single Thursday.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Safe travels, best of luck, and we'll catch up next week.

- 45:41Speaker 10: Maria Jose Maria, ohble, No, I knew it, I said,
- 45:45Speaker 10: Jose Maria.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Is yeah, oh the babble. Yeah, this is he there.
- 45:50Speaker 2: That sounds like a stuff.
- 45:51Speaker 9: I've heard that name so many times.
- 45:53Speaker 4: He is actually former Masters champion six years old. One
- 45:55Speaker 4: in nineteen ninety four, in nineteen ninety nine, two times.
- 45:59Speaker 4: He's a two time Masters champion. So the first time
- 46:03Speaker 4: he won the Masters, he's leading right now, he's minus two.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Hell yeah, we call that two underbud.
- 46:11Speaker 4: It was the year that The Lion King was released
- 46:15Speaker 4: Forrest Gump pulp Fiction. A great movie I'll release in
- 46:17Speaker 4: the nineteen ninety four great Spanish ooble.
- 46:25Speaker 10: Okay, so I thought you were okay, I thought you
- 46:27Speaker 10: were just saying it, But now that I look him up.
- 46:29Speaker 9: You were doing the you're doing the accident right.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm a world traveler who still says, I ran.
