- 0:02Speaker 1: Life Audio. Well, hello and good morning friends and faithful listeners,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and welcome to the Bible Explained podcast. Thank you so
- 0:09Speaker 1: much for being here and sharing a cup of coffee
- 0:11Speaker 1: with me. We're gonna be talking about two Timothy three
- 0:15Speaker 1: today and discussing bad characters in the church. Stay tuned,
- 0:27Speaker 1: and as usual, before I begin today's podcast episode, here
- 0:30Speaker 1: is a quick word from a sponsor. All right, go
- 0:35Speaker 1: ahead and grab your Bible faith listener, and also your
- 0:37Speaker 1: cup of coffee or your cup of tea this morning,
- 0:40Speaker 1: and turn to two Timothy three, verses one through nine.
- 0:45Speaker 1: I'll be reading this as I always do, from the web,
- 0:48Speaker 1: but of course feel free to grab the version of
- 0:49Speaker 1: the Bible that you prefer this morning. And once you
- 0:51Speaker 1: grab it, let's go ahead and give reverence to God's
- 0:53Speaker 1: word by reading Second Timothy three together. But know this
- 0:59Speaker 1: that in the last day, grievous times will come. For
- 1:02Speaker 1: men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers,
- 1:07Speaker 1: disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy without natural affection, unforgiving slanderers
- 1:14Speaker 1: without self control, fierce not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited,
- 1:20Speaker 1: lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God holding a
- 1:23Speaker 1: form of Godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away
- 1:27Speaker 1: from these also, for some of these are people who
- 1:29Speaker 1: creep into houses and take captive, gullible women, loaded down
- 1:32Speaker 1: with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and
- 1:36Speaker 1: never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Even as Johnnys and Johnbres opposed Moses, so these also
- 1:43Speaker 1: oppose the truth. Men corrupted in mind, who concerning the
- 1:46Speaker 1: faith are rejected, but they will proceed no further, for
- 1:50Speaker 1: their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs
- 1:52Speaker 1: also came to be in the Second Letter to Timothy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So far Paul has been encouraging Timothy to keep on
- 2:00Speaker 1: using his spiritual gift and also to teach this church
- 2:04Speaker 1: in Macedonia all the things that should be taught, namely
- 2:09Speaker 1: the gospel message, while avoiding unnecessary and useless stuff that
- 2:14Speaker 1: was seeping its way into the church. Paul encourages Timothy,
- 2:18Speaker 1: look at the good things and teach those, and avoid
- 2:21Speaker 1: the bad things and get rid of them out of
- 2:23Speaker 1: your church. And now he really hits this topic hard.
- 2:26Speaker 1: In the passage we're reading today. He starts out in
- 2:29Speaker 1: verse one, but know this that in the last days,
- 2:33Speaker 1: grievous times will come. Now, when Paul says the last days,
- 2:37Speaker 1: that means from the time that Jesus ascended up into
- 2:40Speaker 1: heaven until he comes again. So we are technically in
- 2:44Speaker 1: the last days, as was Paul two thousand years ago.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So the last days is just all of it until
- 2:51Speaker 1: Jesus comes again. Paul says, in these last days, grievous
- 2:55Speaker 1: times will come. Depending on the version you read, the
- 2:58Speaker 1: word grievous might be changed. It might say perilous, it
- 3:02Speaker 1: might say hard, it might say difficult or dangerous, but
- 3:07Speaker 1: the web translates it as grievous. And what that means
- 3:10Speaker 1: is just very difficult times are coming, mainly because people
- 3:15Speaker 1: are going to continue to get worse and worse and
- 3:17Speaker 1: worse until Jesus comes again. That has talked about multiple
- 3:21Speaker 1: times in scripture, that evil men will continue to get worse,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and that's what the next verse goes into verse two,
- 3:29Speaker 1: for men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And I'll pause right there and talk about those ones
- 3:36Speaker 1: first before I continue on with the list, because there's
- 3:39Speaker 1: a lot of things right here a lot of different
- 3:43Speaker 1: behaviors that make people evil essentially in these last days.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So the first one is men will be lovers of self. Now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: when Paul says men here, he's not talking about just males,
- 3:55Speaker 1: he's talking about all of mankind. So men and women together, essentially,
- 4:01Speaker 1: people will be lovers of self and man? Is that
- 4:05Speaker 1: not so common today? What do we always see everywhere
- 4:09Speaker 1: we go, whether we're watching something on TV or we're
- 4:12Speaker 1: at the grocery store, we always see something about self love.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It is promoted and pushed every single place we go,
- 4:21Speaker 1: with sayings like, oh, you're beautiful just the way you are.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You're perfect just the way you are. You don't need
- 4:25Speaker 1: to change. You must love yourself before you can love
- 4:29Speaker 1: other people. I hear that one all the time, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: that one kills me, because, no, you already love yourself.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Every single person already loves themselves. Even when you abuse yourself,
- 4:43Speaker 1: it is a form of self love because you're trying
- 4:46Speaker 1: to make yourself either get sympathy from other people or
- 4:49Speaker 1: feel better in some way through that abuse. And you
- 4:53Speaker 1: can disagree with me all you want, but I staunchly
- 4:55Speaker 1: believe that in my mind is not going to be
- 4:57Speaker 1: changed on that. I remember years ago, when I first
- 5:00Speaker 1: start this podcast, I said something kind of insulting about myself,
- 5:03Speaker 1: like I made fun of myself, and someone contacted me
- 5:07Speaker 1: and told me that I need to stop beating myself
- 5:11Speaker 1: up and I need to love myself a little bit more.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And I was like, lady, I do love myself. Trust me.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I can make as many insults as I want about myself.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I love myself a lot. In fact, I probably should
- 5:24Speaker 1: love myself a little bit less than I actually do.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And the reason she felt that she needed to contact
- 5:30Speaker 1: me about that is because that's what's pushed in our
- 5:32Speaker 1: society right now, is that every single person must love
- 5:36Speaker 1: themselves more, not less, but more. But this ideology is
- 5:41Speaker 1: so dangerous, and here's why. Because it makes you so
- 5:45Speaker 1: self centered and self focused that you don't think about
- 5:49Speaker 1: other people. It takes humility away, and as we know,
- 5:53Speaker 1: Christians are supposed to be humble, Jesus was the most
- 5:57Speaker 1: humble person that ever existed and ever will exist. We
- 6:01Speaker 1: are supposed to emulate Jesus. Jesus was so humble he
- 6:05Speaker 1: died for us, the most shameful and embarrassing death that
- 6:09Speaker 1: you could die. Hanging naked on a tree in front
- 6:13Speaker 1: of everybody, being insulted and spit on, and he had
- 6:17Speaker 1: a crown of thorns on his head to make fun
- 6:19Speaker 1: of him. Can you imagine if somebody you knew and
- 6:22Speaker 1: loved was being mistreated like that, like your husband or
- 6:25Speaker 1: your wife, was being abused and made fun of and
- 6:29Speaker 1: treated in that capacity, you know, like a crown of
- 6:31Speaker 1: thorns going on their head just to humiliate them and
- 6:34Speaker 1: insult them while they're hanging up on a cross. That's
- 6:37Speaker 1: what Jesus dealt with for us. He was humble, and
- 6:41Speaker 1: he did that because he was looking toward the glory
- 6:45Speaker 1: of giving us salvation through him. So we're not supposed
- 6:50Speaker 1: to be focused on self love. We're supposed to be
- 6:53Speaker 1: focused on loving other people. Where does it say anywhere
- 6:56Speaker 1: in scripture where does Jesus say love yourself more or
- 7:00Speaker 1: before you can love other people? Where does he say that?
- 7:02Speaker 1: He does not say that. He says love other people
- 7:06Speaker 1: a new commandment. I give you to love God and
- 7:09Speaker 1: to love other people. There is no self love in
- 7:12Speaker 1: that statement. So no, we don't need to love ourselves more.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And that's the problem with our society nowadays. We love
- 7:20Speaker 1: ourselves too much, and we don't think about other people.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So that's the first problem that Paul gets into. And
- 7:26Speaker 1: we have about thirty more to talk about. And I
- 7:29Speaker 1: just discussed that one point for about five minutes, so
- 7:32Speaker 1: we'll see if I get through the whole list. People
- 7:35Speaker 1: will be lovers of money. Now we actually went over
- 7:38Speaker 1: that not too long ago. That love of money, if
- 7:41Speaker 1: that gets into the church, especially when it comes to
- 7:44Speaker 1: pastors and elders and leaders, that can become really bad.
- 7:48Speaker 1: If you love money too much. There is nothing you
- 7:51Speaker 1: won't do to get that money. We can use money,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we can own money, there's nothing wrong with that, but
- 7:58Speaker 1: we can't be lovers of money. It leads to all
- 8:02Speaker 1: sorts of very corrupt things. Also boastful and arrogant. Christians
- 8:08Speaker 1: should have nothing to do with arrogance and boastfulness. Now
- 8:13Speaker 1: that being said, I think sometimes Christians get into this
- 8:17Speaker 1: like false humility kind of thing, which also is not
- 8:20Speaker 1: good because false humility is also arrogance in a way.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You know, false humility is when you say something that
- 8:27Speaker 1: sounds really humble, but internally you're not feeling humble at all,
- 8:32Speaker 1: or you're trying to like downplay what you do. Even
- 8:36Speaker 1: if it is like really good because you think that
- 8:38Speaker 1: if you accept the praise or the reward for something
- 8:42Speaker 1: that you're doing for Jesus, then you're sinning in some way,
- 8:47Speaker 1: But that's actually not the case. You are supposed to
- 8:49Speaker 1: do things excellently. In fact, I just read a psalm
- 8:52Speaker 1: not too long ago that says play your instruments with
- 8:56Speaker 1: skill to the Lord. And there are tons of examples
- 9:00Speaker 1: of artists in scripture using the talents that God gave
- 9:04Speaker 1: them with skill for him. But on the flip side,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you know, being too boastful or arrogant is also wrong
- 9:11Speaker 1: because when we're boastful and arrogant, we are taking the
- 9:13Speaker 1: glory off of God and putting it on ourselves. Now,
- 9:17Speaker 1: moving on with this list of evil behaviors, it says blasphemers,
- 9:22Speaker 1: disobedient to parents, unthankful, and unholy. Now, the first one
- 9:26Speaker 1: is pretty self explanatory. Blasphemers. That would be anybody who
- 9:30Speaker 1: insults the character of God, or insults the word of God,
- 9:34Speaker 1: or treats God with contempt or disrespect. That is what
- 9:39Speaker 1: blasphemy is. Then disobedient to parents is right next to blasphemy,
- 9:45Speaker 1: because if you're willing to insult your Maker, your heavenly Father.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Then being disobedient to your parents and disrespecting them is
- 9:55Speaker 1: going to be second nature to the blasphemer. So I
- 9:58Speaker 1: think that's why those two things are listed so close together,
- 10:01Speaker 1: is because they're kind of related in a sense. And
- 10:04Speaker 1: being disobedient to parents is a grievous sin in the
- 10:08Speaker 1: eyes of God, because as Christians we are supposed to
- 10:11Speaker 1: respect our parents. We talked about that in a great
- 10:15Speaker 1: detail actually in one Timothy with the rules for widows
- 10:18Speaker 1: and how a widow of she has believing children, she
- 10:20Speaker 1: should absolutely be getting support from her children. Then it
- 10:25Speaker 1: says unthankful and unholy. When I read the word unthankful,
- 10:31Speaker 1: that kind of hit me a little bit because I
- 10:33Speaker 1: am not a very thankful person, you know. I am
- 10:36Speaker 1: initially like, if I see God doing something in my
- 10:38Speaker 1: life for like a whole week, I'm like, yay, you know, God,
- 10:41Speaker 1: thank you so much. But then the second something goes wrong,
- 10:44Speaker 1: even if it's something minor, I immediately resort to unthankfulness.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And this just happened to me recently, actually, so that
- 10:51Speaker 1: kind of hit me a little bit. Paul himself in
- 10:54Speaker 1: Philippians said that when we present our requests to God,
- 10:57Speaker 1: regardless of what they are. We are supposed to be
- 11:00Speaker 1: thankful in every circumstance. Then, moving on in the list,
- 11:04Speaker 1: it says unholy without natural affection, unforgiving slanderers, without self control.
- 11:12Speaker 1: So someone who is unholy would obviously be a person
- 11:15Speaker 1: that does not follow the Christian lifestyle. You know, the
- 11:20Speaker 1: word holy is defined as someone who is set apart.
- 11:25Speaker 1: If you are not acting as somebody set apart, then
- 11:28Speaker 1: that means you are not living out scripture the way
- 11:32Speaker 1: you should be doing. So that's what the word unholy means.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Then this next one without natural affection. Man, Like, this
- 11:40Speaker 1: is prevalent now, specifically with women online. I feel like
- 11:47Speaker 1: I am unfortunately chronically online and I see a lot
- 11:51Speaker 1: of stuff that makes me very angry, and I probably
- 11:54Speaker 1: shouldn't get engaged in those things. And I've been doing
- 11:57Speaker 1: better with it. Okay, I'm not getting into Facebook fights anymore.
- 12:01Speaker 1: But I see a lot of women hating babies and
- 12:06Speaker 1: hating children, and it's like, that is so bizarre to me,
- 12:09Speaker 1: because we are naturally designed as women to love little babies.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Even animals love babies. You know. I was just talking
- 12:18Speaker 1: to my mom recently about how it seems like my
- 12:22Speaker 1: two dogs somehow understand the innocence of babies and whenever
- 12:27Speaker 1: they encounter a baby, are like really careful with the baby.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's like animals understand that innocence, and if animals can
- 12:35Speaker 1: understand it, certainly human beings should be able to understand
- 12:40Speaker 1: that babies should be protected and taken care of and
- 12:44Speaker 1: not mistreated or abused or aborted just for existing. And
- 12:49Speaker 1: I mean that goes for little children and even teenagers
- 12:51Speaker 1: as well. I'm around my teenagers every week at the
- 12:54Speaker 1: youth group, and they are children. They don't think they are,
- 12:59Speaker 1: but they are, and they should be protected as human beings.
- 13:03Speaker 1: So yes, I see unfortunately a lot of women nowadays
- 13:06Speaker 1: without that natural affection. And what's interesting about that is
- 13:11Speaker 1: the loss of natural affection actually kind of goes back
- 13:14Speaker 1: to the first point, which was lovers of self, because
- 13:18Speaker 1: a lot of times when I see, you know, the
- 13:20Speaker 1: women talking about why they don't want to have kids,
- 13:24Speaker 1: or why kids are terrible or disgusting or whatever they
- 13:28Speaker 1: like to say, they usually bring it back to, well,
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't really want to take care of another life.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I just want to live my own life and do
- 13:36Speaker 1: whatever I want to do and travel and eat at
- 13:39Speaker 1: restaurants and not be bogged down with a child. So
- 13:44Speaker 1: it kind of does go back to the whole self
- 13:47Speaker 1: love movement. Interestingly enough, it's sort of connected. Not to mention,
- 13:52Speaker 1: it says also unforgiving slanderers, without self control, fierce, not
- 13:58Speaker 1: lovers of good. So unforgiveness is on this list. Like
- 14:01Speaker 1: if you just refuse to forgive somebody or you're not
- 14:04Speaker 1: working through the unforgiveness, that's considered to be an evil behavior.
- 14:10Speaker 1: If Jesus loved and forgave us, then we should also
- 14:13Speaker 1: be trying to love and forgive other people. Now that's
- 14:16Speaker 1: easier said than done, but as Christians, we should be
- 14:19Speaker 1: at least working toward forgiveness in our hearts. There was
- 14:22Speaker 1: a really good book that Lisa Turkers came out with
- 14:25Speaker 1: that I went through and it helped me a lot
- 14:27Speaker 1: with a few things, and it was called Forgiving what
- 14:30Speaker 1: you Can't Forget, And I do recommend it specifically to
- 14:32Speaker 1: any lady that is struggling with unforgiveness right now. I
- 14:35Speaker 1: think it's a really really good read and definitely helped
- 14:39Speaker 1: me with a few things. So unforgiveness is on this
- 14:42Speaker 1: list as well. As slandering, So that would be gossiping
- 14:46Speaker 1: in a lying way behind somebody's back, so lying about
- 14:50Speaker 1: them essentially without self control, basically being unable to control
- 14:55Speaker 1: your temper or your lusts out in public fierce, so
- 15:02Speaker 1: without mercy, essentially not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited,
- 15:10Speaker 1: lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. And again
- 15:14Speaker 1: that one goes back to the lovers of self. You know,
- 15:17Speaker 1: if you're too focused on yourself and your pleasures, that
- 15:21Speaker 1: you would rather do that than follow the word of God.
- 15:25Speaker 1: That obviously has no place in the Christian life. The
- 15:29Speaker 1: Christian life honestly, is a lot about denying yourself and
- 15:32Speaker 1: focusing on something that is to come instead of something
- 15:35Speaker 1: that is here on earth. Because the momentary pleasures here
- 15:39Speaker 1: on earth are really worthless in the long run. You know,
- 15:43Speaker 1: short term they seem great, but in the long run
- 15:45Speaker 1: they're nothing. That's why Jesus tells us to store up
- 15:48Speaker 1: our treasures in heaven rather than here on earth. Then
- 15:52Speaker 1: verse five says, these people hold a form of godliness,
- 15:55Speaker 1: but have denied its power. Turn away from these also,
- 15:59Speaker 1: so are these people doing all of these unholy behaviors?
- 16:03Speaker 1: We just went through. But they're claiming a form of godliness.
- 16:08Speaker 1: They're saying, oh, we're actually really good people. I'm a
- 16:11Speaker 1: good person because I do such and such. But then
- 16:14Speaker 1: they are doing half the things or all the things
- 16:17Speaker 1: or some of the things on this list without any care.
- 16:21Speaker 1: You know, obviously we all sin. We're all going to
- 16:23Speaker 1: do some of these things. You know, when I was
- 16:25Speaker 1: reading through this list, I was like, yep, I do that.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I do that, I do that. We all are going
- 16:30Speaker 1: to sin. But the difference is do you recognize your
- 16:33Speaker 1: sinning and want to turn away from those sins, or
- 16:37Speaker 1: do you do them believing that you're fine, that you
- 16:40Speaker 1: are a good person, that these things aren't actually bad
- 16:43Speaker 1: at all. That is the difference. So these people have
- 16:46Speaker 1: no remorse over their sins, and they claim to be godly,
- 16:50Speaker 1: they claim to be good people. They're like, oh, yeah,
- 16:52Speaker 1: you know, I'm a Christian. But then they don't follow
- 16:55Speaker 1: any of the aspects of Christianity. They just take and
- 16:59Speaker 1: pick and choose whatever they want out of the Bible
- 17:01Speaker 1: and then you know, throw away the stuff they don't like.
- 17:04Speaker 1: That's not true Christianity, that's not truly following Jesus. Jesus said,
- 17:09Speaker 1: if you love me, you're going to keep my commandments.
- 17:12Speaker 1: And one of his commandments was to love your enemies,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and to forgive as the Father has forgiven you, and
- 17:19Speaker 1: to go and sin no more, and to love your neighbor.
- 17:23Speaker 1: And those are only a few of the many commandments
- 17:25Speaker 1: that he gave. So if we love Jesus, we're going
- 17:28Speaker 1: to keep all of his commandments, not just pick and
- 17:30Speaker 1: choose whichever ones we like the best. Paul says, turn
- 17:35Speaker 1: away from these people, avoid them, don't associate with them.
- 17:41Speaker 1: For some of these Verse six are people who creep
- 17:44Speaker 1: into houses and take captive, gullible women loaded down with sins. Now.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Home churches were very common back in Paul's day, especially
- 17:55Speaker 1: in the Gentile areas, because a lot of women became
- 17:59Speaker 1: the first converts to Christianity in the Gentile regions, and
- 18:04Speaker 1: they would host home churches in their houses and obviously
- 18:09Speaker 1: invite guests to come in and speak. So women could
- 18:13Speaker 1: host home churches. They weren't supposed to be preachers, as
- 18:17Speaker 1: we've discussed in the past, but they could host the
- 18:19Speaker 1: home church people who weren't actually Christians but wanted to
- 18:23Speaker 1: benefit from the Christian lifestyle and gain money through it.
- 18:28Speaker 1: They would pretend to be very holy and righteous people,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and they'd go into these homes where these gullible women lived,
- 18:35Speaker 1: who potentially were hosting home churches, and they would sort
- 18:39Speaker 1: of weasele their way in by being very charming, and
- 18:43Speaker 1: these women, who were gullible and also loaded down with
- 18:46Speaker 1: sins themselves, would believe it and they would spread the
- 18:50Speaker 1: message of these false teachers. Now, unfortunately, this is also
- 18:55Speaker 1: very common today women especially, And I hate to be
- 19:00Speaker 1: negative towards my own sex, but unfortunately I do see
- 19:04Speaker 1: this quite a bit. Women are far more gullible when
- 19:08Speaker 1: it comes to someone who is charming and has a
- 19:13Speaker 1: nice smile. Women a lot of times will believe what
- 19:16Speaker 1: these people say because they seem like nice people. I've
- 19:20Speaker 1: seen that in my own life many times over, where
- 19:24Speaker 1: a woman just kind of believes something someone says because
- 19:28Speaker 1: they have a nice smile. In fact, let me give
- 19:30Speaker 1: a quick example of this. Last month, my husband and
- 19:33Speaker 1: I celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary and we went
- 19:37Speaker 1: to Vegas on a vacation. I had never been to
- 19:39Speaker 1: Vegas and my husband hadn't either, so it was brand
- 19:42Speaker 1: new to us. And in order to get around. We
- 19:45Speaker 1: ubered a lot, and there was this one girl. We
- 19:48Speaker 1: were talking to our Uber driver and I asked her about,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know, the safety in the city and what she experienced,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you know, as a driver, and she was telling me
- 19:57Speaker 1: that human trafficking had gon and a lot worse in
- 20:01Speaker 1: the city, you know, because of various problems that were
- 20:03Speaker 1: going on. And she told me, she's like, beware of
- 20:06Speaker 1: anybody that tries to give you a ride outside of
- 20:10Speaker 1: the casino who claimed to be a driver of Uber
- 20:15Speaker 1: if you did not go directly through the Uber app, like,
- 20:18Speaker 1: do not get into their car under any circumstances. So
- 20:21Speaker 1: I took that to heart, and my husband and I
- 20:24Speaker 1: that evening were actually walking around and we were outside
- 20:28Speaker 1: of some of the hotels you know, on the strip,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and there was a bunch of girls that were in
- 20:34Speaker 1: front of us, and they had just come out of
- 20:36Speaker 1: the hotel and there was this man with a car
- 20:40Speaker 1: that was waiting there and he goes up to the ladies.
- 20:43Speaker 1: He's like, ladies, do you need a ride, I've got
- 20:45Speaker 1: a car right here. I'm an Uber driver. And immediately,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you know, because I had just heard this information in
- 20:50Speaker 1: my brain, I'm, you know, my red flags are like
- 20:52Speaker 1: going off, And I almost turned to those ladies and said,
- 20:55Speaker 1: don't get in that car, like under any circumstance, don't
- 20:58Speaker 1: get in that person's car. But I get a chance
- 21:00Speaker 1: to do so because the husband of one of those
- 21:03Speaker 1: ladies came out of the hotel like directly after that
- 21:07Speaker 1: and told all the girls. He's like, no, we're not
- 21:09Speaker 1: getting into that person's car. We don't know him. Why
- 21:11Speaker 1: would we get into that person's car. And thankfully, you know,
- 21:14Speaker 1: my husband and I didn't have to step in at
- 21:16Speaker 1: that moment because the guy handled it after that, and
- 21:19Speaker 1: all those girls were like mulling it over beforehand, before
- 21:23Speaker 1: that husband had come out. They were like, yeah, maybe
- 21:26Speaker 1: we can use this guy's car. Because women are more
- 21:31Speaker 1: gullible to things if somebody seems friendly and nice. And
- 21:36Speaker 1: that is also true when it comes to spiritual things
- 21:39Speaker 1: as well, which is why I'm giving a warning to
- 21:42Speaker 1: all the ladies listening, which is, don't believe everything you
- 21:47Speaker 1: hear just because somebody seems nice. Oh and don't get
- 21:51Speaker 1: into strangers cars. No, but seriously read scripture. Let the
- 21:57Speaker 1: Holy Spirit teach you what is going on on. Don't
- 22:01Speaker 1: be gullible, don't be deceived, protect yourself, protect your spiritual
- 22:06Speaker 1: health and the spiritual health of your families. It is
- 22:09Speaker 1: important for you to do that. So just be careful,
- 22:12Speaker 1: is all I'm telling you. And you know Paul understood
- 22:14Speaker 1: this as well. It might sound sexist, but it's kind
- 22:18Speaker 1: of the truth. Like I hate to say it, so
- 22:20Speaker 1: just be careful. All right, faithful listeners, I'm going to
- 22:25Speaker 1: end it there because I actually have somewhere I have
- 22:27Speaker 1: to be, so I don't have time to finish talking
