- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Now this may be one of the most bullish structural events in gold market history.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Life from the Vault, brought to you by Kinesis Money, and we're certainly glad you joined us here today.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: You know, Life from the Vault is the show that goes beyond the headlines to uncover the truth about the precious metals industry.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: And joining us today is Kinesis's very own world-renowned whistleblower and precious metals industry expert, Andrew McGuire.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: And this week we'll be answering even more questions from you, the viewers, uh, and our whole community here.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: So remember, keep those questions coming in.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Uh, just look at the description below.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: All you gotta do is click that link in the description.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: You never know.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: You know, Andrew may well uh choose your question to be answered right here on Live from the Vault.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: So let's head over to the UK and talking gold with Andrew McGuire.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Hey Andrew, in previous episodes, you know, the that one was titled The Central Bank Wars Spill into Daylight.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Uh that episode, you know, you outlined how the Federal Reserve appeared to manage uh, you know, the three-month 30% downside move through the comic-centric 100-to-1 leverage selling.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: And as the title suggested, uh, you know, however, that strategy encountered significant resistance from sustained Chinese uh central bank bombing, you know, leaving the Federal Reserve increasingly dependent on transferring the short exposure to a broad base of 100 to one leveraged speculators uh ahead of the July 24th date that you identified as the point at which the Comix-led price setting could begin to reverse against them as price discovery shifts towards the Hong Kong fixes.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: So to begin the show, Andrew, with all that, uh can you just walk us through how this is influencing the way that you and your first tier physical market liquidity providers are positioning for the second half of 2026 as we move forward here?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, perfect, Shane.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And nice to be with everyone.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, great questions.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: And I think I think what we're doing is really summing up um the really big questions here.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Um and so, and just looking at these questions here, there's a there's a lot of really good ones.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Um, let's start by summing up um July's action, though, as far as it reveals the gold buy signal that institutional central bank and sovereign buyers have been waiting for, which is China stepping in to shield the domestic speculators from the disruptive influence of massively leveraged Western-centric COMEX derivative sellers.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Now, to do this, the PBOC forced Chinese speculators into a sell-only mode, which is why we had noted that uh Shanghai Spot was trading at a discount to London during the main sessions, which was most unusual.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: But into each fix, the tape flips and Shanghai snaps back uh to a premium at the AM and the PM.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: T plus one delivery fixes, they are, and that is where the PBOC footprints are the clearest.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Sharp premiums over London at the T plus one fixes was immediately followed by discounts, snapping back once normal trading resumed.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: So the the clays' clues were all there.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: We kind of went through them last time, but completely unseen by the paper-centric Western market um activity that we've been tracking.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: The PBOC remains the only visible source of consistent Chinese physical demand.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Now, they've been accumulating gold in an extremely disciplined and a systematic manner.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And we've, as we said, three to five tons per day every day.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: These footprints are most clearly reflected in the Shanghai fixed premiums versus London.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Now, at the same time, 400-ounce London bars continue to be withdrawn from the system, partly to meet PBOC monetary gold demand and partly to support physical liquidity requirements following last Tuesday's trial launch of the Hong Kong Gold Exchange.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Now, while no official launch date has been announced for this next in the series of SGE Gold Corridor Gateway rollouts, as we outlined last time, our well-connected liquidity providers are preparing for the next week's 24th of July trading bank shutdown of the remaining sell-only Chinese speculative accounts.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And a lot of the swap dealers were having a difficulty getting out of those positions.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: And what it was doing was signaling that unencumbered physical liquidity is being readied for the next batch of 400-ounce bars moving from London to Hong Kong.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: This is all about China putting the Yuan on the gold standard.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Now the timing really matters.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: The 24th of July closure date lines up with the SGE Connected Hong Kong gold clearing system full launch.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Now it's not a coincidence.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: Now we can be sure that the we can absolutely be sure that the White House is watching this TAT very, very closely.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: And China now has the infrastructure required to challenge the entire COMEX LBMA price setting regime and effectively green light a global central bank revaluation event.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: This is a date to watch.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Now, this may be one of the most bullish structural events in gold market history because it builds an eastern clearing physical settlement pricing and delivery architecture outside the traditional London-New York axis.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: And because of that structure being in place, they have had, they've been able to control not only the price, but they've also been able to control diluting that price by linking Hong Kong directly with the Shanghai Gold Exchange and expanding vault and a hugely expanding vault capacity in collaboration with Bloomberg, launching of a regional HAU physical price.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: That's a price reference set in the physical exchange, in the in the Hong Kong physical exchange.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Um that what that does is price physically deliverable RMB futures contracts that exposes local London COMEX diluted XAU price references.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And given that foreign exchange gold is actually NSFR compliant and T plus one deliverable at the London fixes, the HAU XAU arbitrage process will close that paper-to-physical gap far quicker than people can imagine.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Now the PBOC has also removed restrictions and they're allowing gold for the first time ever to flow freely between Shanghai and Hong Kong, which is global facing, which makes this the most liquid global gold exchange.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Like that.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: The HAU price enables institutional, uh physically deliverable over-the-counter settlement, which telegraphs that China is creating the plumbing for physical gold to be priced, financed, and mobilized in Asia, and then ultimately globally.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Now, for gold and silver investors, the significance is it's not simply another trading venue, which many people have thought, oh, it's just one more trading venue, there's still going to be games.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: It is the migration of gold's market structure towards the world's largest physical demand region.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And as liquidity settlement and delivery increasingly shifts east, gold moves from being a Western paper priced asset to an Asian physical reserve asset, a regime change that supports higher prices, tighter available supply, and a sustained re-rating of gold's monetary role.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: And this ongoing drawdown of loco London physical liquidity has been largely obscured by the PBOC's clampdown on Chinese speculative positioning, which also triggered visible selling pressure on the global gold price because they were trading at a discount.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Western derivative traders have been misreading that price weakness.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: They've been misreading it as a broader bearish signal rather than the PBOC's policy-driven flush of speculative length.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: So they were wrong-footed into adding unbacked COMEX shorts into what is actually a very bullish restructuring event.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: The underlying LBMA 400-hour strain remains firmly in place, further constraining the LBMA COMEX credit capacity to even expand short futures exposure against what is a backdrop of tightening physical supply and rising T plus one delivery obligations.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: This is the collision point where leveraged LBMA CMI paper positioning meets genuine physical demand.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Central bank and sovereign buying have remained unwavering throughout this entire three-month sell-off.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: We looked at it last summer on the charts.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: And for institutional investors, this is the inflection point that they've been waiting for.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: And while mainstream commentators misread gold price weakness as bearish, the PBOC has effectively flushed out speculative open interest ahead of next week's institutional facing Hong Kong SGE physical gold gateway expansion.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Now set to take its next step towards official launch and liquidity significantly improving.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Now this will open a broader, what is really a gradually accessible physical gateway into the what is the rapidly expanding SGE gold correctly.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: We've been tracking it for an awful long time, and of that is going to close it, it is it is actually also extending through Singapore and the groundwork already underway to bring Africa, Saudi Arabia, and all of Latin America into this gateway, into this gold clearing gateway.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: So in anticipation, China has already established a Yuan clearing footprint across already, across every major global gold trading hub.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: A lot of traders will know this already.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: There already is that facility in place.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: This has all been strategic.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: China doesn't rush anything.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: But on the 24th, there will be no shorts left to clear.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: And that is the left.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: And while the most of them have been cleared out some within the last week or two, um, swap dealers find that very difficult.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So there's still some uh weight.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: But I've been noticing the last few couple of mornings this week, um, SGE trading at a premium.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Now, so basically, we've gonna sum it up.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: While mainstream uh analysts are missing the point again, Beijing is positioning gold as part of the plumbing for of a new financial architecture, one in which the RMB gains credibility through settlement networks, uh, deeper collateral uh pools, uh, and of course, physical gold integration rather than through a traditional reserve currency status, which is what everyone is saying that can't happen.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: They don't want it to happen.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: As a result, so the structural bid for physical gold is actually deepening.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Now, for uh for price, this means China's expansion of gold delivery clearing, vaulting, and offshore RMB settlement infrastructure.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: What it's doing is reinforcing a long-term physical demand flaw beneath an increasingly liquid physical market.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: It's also no coincidence that China now has seven of the world's 10 biggest banks, with JP Morgan following in fifth place.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: The overseas expansion of China's banking sector is increasingly aligned with Beijing's broader strategic financial objectives, which is elevating the international role of the Yuan.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: It's utilizing a gold-backed Yuan, developing alternative cross-border financing infrastructure, and extending China's financial influence through a growing network of overseas banking operations.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And as more bullion trading migrates towards Hong Kong and Shanghai, pricing power gradually moves closer to the largest physical buyers, tightening the link between Asian demand and global price discovery.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: So, to address our end of second half question, Shane, this is what is influencing how first-tier physical market liquidity providers are positioning for the second half of 2026.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Now, in the larger picture, this is an integral component of building what is called Fortress China, a state preparing not just to deter future conflict with the US, but to function through prolonged crisis and extreme disruptions.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: Now, the Global Affairs article that uh is this is shown here presents a good take on how China has learned the lessons from the Russian and Iranian theaters to insulate itself from the dollar hegmons.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Now, taking control of the global gold and silver markets is the bedrock of China, and it shows that China is building a national resilience system designed to absorb severe external shocks from sanctions, blockades, and supply chain collapse, all the way through to natural disasters, and not last and certainly not least, a major war, potential war breaking out.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: All right, Andrew.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: And as you say, you know, this is completely unfactored into the current ComX-driven price action.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: And, you know, one of the most asked questions that we're getting here from the community is what are you seeing in the short term here?
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, of course.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: And that's a valid question because obviously um there are a lot of traders in this mix as well.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Obviously, stackers, hey, what a what a bargain this has been, you know, this whole um this whole averaging in process.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: But but while near-term volatility from rates, uh, the dollar or positioning may pressure gold tactically, and it has been, the strategic setup remains constructive as central banks, sovereign buyers, and Asian institutionals continue to prioritize gold as a res as reserve collateral.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: And masked by the volatility generated by this hundred to one leveraged, deliberately constructed synthetic death cross that we looked at last time.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: We'll probably look at it in the charts again in a minute, too, as a reminder.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: But what we looked at that last time, the real action actually remains firmly in the physical market.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: Liquidity providers continue to report heavy institutional demand beneath the surface, reinforcing a clear buy-the-dip bias as gold builds above newly anchored physical support.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: And the broader trade remains intact, though.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: So it has not changed at all.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: But liquidity providers report that safe haven gold accumulation has in fact accelerated, with buyers taking advantage of dollar strength, clearly, against gold, while prices remain synthetically capped.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Uh, setting the stage for a nearby repricing of gold's role within an emerging RMB-linked, physically backed financial system.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Bottom line, the paper market may still be managing the optics, but the physical market is really telling a different story.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: Institutional demand is tightening beneath the surface, and any near-term weakness is increasingly being viewed as an opportunity to add exposure before gold structural revaluation becomes impossible to ignore.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: And while gold price revaluation is a process, structurally it's reached an inflection point where more 100 to 1 unbacked paper ounces of COMEX contracts are actually being called in for physical delivery more than can be delivered.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: This then becomes an event.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And to avert a force major of failure to deliver, the only central bank store short gold that it cannot deliver, the Fed will be forced to revalue massively rehypothecated$42 per ounce US Treasury uh gold to the market price to balance the book.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: True supply-demand fundamentals dictate this is an inescapable event to come.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: There's just not enough immediately deliverable above-ground bullion for the Fed to simply buy its way out on scale at any price, and that leaves one viable exit, a paper gold revaluation from$42.22 per ounce to the market price.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Now, given given the lack of auditable data on the extent of multiple ownership claims against US Treasury gold, um the the amount that would actually have to be squared to revalue, it is speculated as to estimate what that revaluation price is.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: However, at an absolute minimum, the required revaluation would likely have to, even from current levels, would have to be somewhere between six to eight thousand.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: And once revalued, the and gold strengthens the asset side of the sovereign balance sheet, the Fed will be better incentivized to join every other global central bank and just like the PBOC, seek a steady gold price appreciation protocol.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: And looking at the newly anchored support, which looking at another chart here, so and it's also visible here.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Um the it the key point, the the World Gold Council's data um also reinforces the fact that Gold's defense of the$4,000 area is not a chart coincidence, it is a structural bid there.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Central banks and strategic buyers have continued to accumulate with the PBOC officially adding uh they added 19, uh 14.93 tons uh in June, and that's despite gold's 16% declined and the weakest quarter in 13 years.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: And the official data is only visible, is is really just the visible layer.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Uh liquidity providers assess that unreported monetary gold accumulations are multiples, likely to the tune of 10 times the official published figure, as well as Chinese investors officially who bought 211 tons of bars and investment coins just through the first quarter.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Now that changes the trading map completely.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: What was 4,000 support has effectively shifted up to 4,100.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Yes, we're trading below it, but this is an accumulation zone.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: This is exactly where official sector and institutional demand is steadily absorbing COMEX-driven weakness.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: And for central bank sovereigns and institutions and commercial participants exposed to a dwindling 400-ounce supply and rapidly accruing T plus one delivery obligations, dips into this zone are accumulation opportunities, not distribution signals.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: And the risk increases with the shorts, too, in as this process goes on, because they're using an awful lot of bandwidth up.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: And as 100 to 1 leverage paper selling collides with physical demand, imminent failures to deliver real metal will force a rapid unwind.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Flipping a managed pullback into a bid-only squeeze.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: This is the actionable inflection point now coming into view.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: So under the synthetically driven smoke and mirrors action that we're witnessing, the career providers are reporting very large underlying institutional physical orders that dictate maintaining a by-the-dip bias, ahead of gold breaking out above these freshly anchored key support levels.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: This is in recognition that accruing safe haven gold at current cap levels is in lockstep with the ongoing slow revaluation of gold within a new RMB physically black financial architecture.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Completely off the radar for most Western-facing traders and analysts.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: So as we discussed last time, Hong Kong becomes the key bridge.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: The city links the offshore Yuan liquidity, bullion trading, and the bond market access and cross-border uh settlement transaction uh infrastructure.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: It becomes a hub where gold and RMB finance intersects in one place.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: A gold link RMB is a direct challenge to dollar reserve dominance.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Now it gives global-facing reserve managers managers a hard asset benchmark against debt-backed dollars, and it creates a credible alternative settlement reference point.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: The RMB Yuan currently carries obvious constraints, including capital controls, but Beijing has spent years building the workaround to this.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: At least 40,000 to 45,000 tons of gold that can be can bridge mainland physical gold with internationalized, collateralizable, high-quality liquid asset gold.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: And this is why the beta-tested Mbridge platform matters.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: As we looked at last time, China's Mbridge initiative, when viewed alongside the Shanghai Gold Exchange Physically Blacked Gold Corridor and the PBOC's Hong Kong Gateway, should be assessed as a strategic and monetary infrastructure rather than a narrow uh payments um uh innovation, which which is what everyone has kind of figured, yeah, but it'll never take off.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: The framework enables central banks and sovereigns to reduce reliance on dollar-based settlements, simply, fast too.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Um, and it supports broader RMB internationalization and it strengthens the structural case for gold as a neutral reserve asset.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: So China's Mbridge roller is not just another payments upgrade paired with the Shanghai Gold Exchange physically backed gold corridor and the PBOC Hong Kong Gateway.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: It is the early architecture of a non-dollar settlement system, faster, cheaper, and increasingly anchored in gold.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: MBridge will accelerate de-dollarization by reshaping the settlement infrastructure underpinning global trade.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Now, by enabling central banks to settle directly in digital currencies, it reduces reliance on the dollar and the default intermediatory and it compresses foreign exchange settlement chains.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: It creates a credible parallel rail for cross-border payments, and unlike gold, silver, or other hard asset settlement mechanisms, it gains monetary credibility and offers reserve managers, commodity exporters, and hedgers practical alternatives to debt-based dollar paper on a much more secure, handlable basis.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Now, this shift will not replace the dollar overnight, and nor is it intended to, nor does China want to do that.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: But it makes de dollarization operational and investable by building alternate settlement rails outside treasury-based reserve system.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: And that is structurally supportive, really, for gold and a long-term warning that really that um uh that the marginal demand for US debt, well, what's gonna happen?
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: It's gonna continue to weaken as reserve diversification gathers pace.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: And we posted lots of examples of this last time, lots of reports from Bloomberg, Financial Times, and others.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: And given the pace of central bank gold adoption and a widely anticipated 15% per annum appreciation in the gold price, which is standard, the current reserve split of roughly 30% um uh gold to 50% dollars could easily flip in gold's favor well within two years.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: And that is most people are not banking on that.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And this is why every s every major central bank and bullion bank is positioning long physical gold.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: This process is suddenly accelerating, and as as internationalized uh zero counter-party risk gold-linked settlement gains traction, debt riddled first-tier treasury demand comes under severe pressure.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: The US will be forced to defend dollar credibility.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: As we've outlined last time, once competitive remonetization between China and the US accelerates, a gold revaluation becomes the cleanest balance sheet response to that.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: And gold-linked zero counterparty resettlement goes straight at the dollar system's pressure point, which is debt-saturated US Treasury demand.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: And a credible gold-priced RMB does not need to replace the dollar, it only needs to give reserve managers and commodity exporters a hard asset alternative to this dollar paper.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And that and and that is the Treasury's problem.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: The US needs a constant foreign uh adoption uh or absorption really of ever larger issuance, but yet its collateral base is unbacked by any tangible reserve asset.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: So once markets can price um fiat collateral against physical gold collateral, treasuries start trading with a different risk premium altogether.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: And here is the problem.
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: If the marginal bid for treasuries weakens, the funding problem becomes a reserve confidence problem very, very, very fast.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: And the cleanest US response is to revalue gold higher, strengthen the asset side of the sovereign balance sheet, and front-run the market before it forces the adjustment through disorderly dollar weakness.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Yet it's impossible to ignore that the only central bank still short gold has been doubling down to entice a shrinking pool of leveraged speculators into adding fresh shorts.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: That's not control, it's stress masquerading as strength.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: The latest suppression push may have helped the Fed settle Bank of International settlements borrowed gold into an end-of-quarter mark-to-mark event, managing for the fourth time in a row, one, two, three, four, at a lower price after a sequentially rising settlement price, but this trade has left footprints.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: The paper to physical spread has exposed the source of the pressure and put Comex directly into the PBOC's crosshairs.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: This looks less like control and more like the end game.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: And as I record this on Wednesday after the PM fix, where we have the usual sellers coming in each and every day, usually waiting either to in the thin hours overnight or after the London market settles.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: This is the trade our liquidity providers are encountering.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Namely, the paper-to-physical breakpoint is moving closer and the asymmetry is widening.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Liquidity providers are already modelling at least a 40% physically driven rally into year-end.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: At 100 to 1 leverage, the Fed has thrown everything at gold.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: Paper supply has been used to manufacture a well-telegraphed death cross, which is basically where the 50-day moving average crossed through the 200-day moving average.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: And that successfully baited and hooked the latest wave of naked shorts into this capitulative breach of central bank support at$4,000.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Now, in a normal market, that setup might squeeze out another 3% of downside from the cross, which was at$3966, likely targeting$38.50, which would have been that 3% move.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: But this is not a normal market.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Every official sector buyer now sees gold weakness into dollar strength as an inventory accumulation opportunity.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: As we looked at a couple of weeks ago, the last comparable setup when we saw a cross like that was right here.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: And that was the 27th of September through to the 6th of October 2023 when gold was pushed down 3.4% from 1900 to 1835.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Then came the snapback on the 1st of December 2023.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: The Golden Cross triggered a 5.4% one-day surge from 2035 to 2144, before an 8% retracement into a perfect bounce on the 50-day moving average.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: Now let's look at the PBOC's footprints.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Again, into the end of June BIS squaring low, which was a 30% discount from 5,600 to 39,4175 spot gold, this wash and rinse cycle that we've been observing has reached another unfactored PBOC physical initiative.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: And this is 100% physically driven.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: And much as we saw from the Shanghai Futures Exchange launch into this bottoming action, it's set to blow shorts out of the water into what is actually a very wrong-footed shrinking pool of bearish open interest.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Now the launch of the physically determined price will exceed the unfactored effect on price that the 184% Shanghai future change rally had on gold, which was from here just to here.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: So from next week's liquid launch, truth to the end of 2027, liquidity providers assess a dollar gold price between 10,000 and 12,000 and 5,600 by the end of 2026, if not before.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: What is increasingly clear is that the mainstream narrative remains disconnected from gold's true drivers, leveraged cash-settled paper supply versus unleveraged physical demand.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: As a result, every price move is being retrofitted to the latest headline.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: And we can see that in the intraday action.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Now, into the bottoming action three weeks ago in gold, even as safe haven flows intensified and central bank and sovereign demand ramped up sharply, the mainstream explanation was that gold was selling off because of geopolitical escalations.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Precisely the kind of narrative distortion the cash-settle comic structure was designed to obscure.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: Now, as physical demand overruns paper short supply now, that narrative has shown signs of flipping over the last few days.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: With gold, form fitted to be rising because of geopolitical escalations.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: The mainstream media is clueless.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: The migration of diluted loco London price discovery into fully physically settled Hong Kong fixes should begin to expose this disconnect, allowing gold to reflect its true role as a safe haven monetary asset.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: The key takeaway, the three-month synthetic washout, appears to have established the base for the subsequent physical-led stair-step rally that followed the PBOC's March 2024 Shanghai Futures Exchange intervention.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Next week's full launch of the Hong Kong SGE physical gateway is coming from this level here.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: And it should provide a more balanced physical supply-demand reference price, one that increasingly challenges the two legacy local London fixes, which are becoming progressively less liquid.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: From a market structure perspective, this has the potential to be as significant and bullish as the original Shanghai Futures Exchange launch.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: Now, the PBOC footprint is back.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: After a Fed-engineered three-month washout from 5,600 all the way down to 39.59 in futures, which was 3928.54 in bot, gold is again approaching an underpriced PBOC physical initiative.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Only this time the gateway is entirely physical.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: Shorts are exposed, bearish open interest is shrinking, the next squeeze will be violent.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: And let's take a look at silver here.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: Again, as soon as London cleared the PM fix, what happens?
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: The shorts come in.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is not going unnoticed.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: And what China is saying, you want to give me your dollars, give me your gold, I'll give you dollars.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: Happily to do that.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly what's going on here.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: But the shorts are controlling the action.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: This is it's trading, silver's trading as a Comex-led technical short rather than a clean physical supply-demand market.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: The move is being driven through a synthetically diluted 100 to 1 Fibonacci range.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: And we can see this range uh that was established on the 26th of June.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: And basically, it's been ranging within there while uh while the PBOC and Asian buyers are picking it up.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: And obviously, with the PBOC speculative account closes misread as weakness, further wrong footing the remaining specs.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: Short term, uh liquidity providers flag heavy buy stops above the 6810382 fiber, which is right here.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: Very large shorts are identified there, uh, or short stops are identified there.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: And a break above there opens the door to a larger shortstop rinse rinse into the 6373, this one here, 6373, and that's the July range, basically.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Obviously, it's one step at a time, but when the 100% leverage short silver bets by osmosis get priced in Hong Kong, the gap close into the 121.58 January highs will be the least of the shorts problems.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: Now, for traders, the message is clear this is no longer uh just a gold trade.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: China and Russia are moving toward gold-linked monetary uh frameworks uh that reduce dollar dependency.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: And it places a hard asset floor beneath the yuan and the ruble.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Now it's gonna there'll be a fix that better represents true physically uh settled supply-demand price.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: It's gonna incentivize global institutions and commodity buyers to begin treating that exposure as credible collateral.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: That means you buy the ruble, you're getting gold.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: Buy that you won, you're getting gold, it's exchangeable.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: The market will be forced to replice not only gold, but the risk embedded across the dollar-based fiat system.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Russia's gold convertible ruble really push uh it's it's a push forward here.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: It's it's they've allied themselves with China.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: This is not a coincidence, it reinforces the setup.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: And for commodity buyers, ruble exposure becomes a cheaper proxy um really for gold-linked collateral right now.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: And it's driving dollar selling to fund that exposure.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: And this is this is the kind of flow that can tighten dollar liquidity, lifts metals pricing, and force a rapid repositioning across what is a gold-link uh foreign exchange exposure.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And as markets price, China and Russia's shift back towards gold and linked monetary systems uh uh and uh and and and as physical gold migrates towards Yuan ruble-linked Hong Kong and expanding global SGE corridor, which is going global, the dollar-based paper system loses control of marginal prices.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: In that environment, synthetic dips become accumulation opportunities with any failure by paper shorts to access physical supply, triggering a disorderly upside repricing.
- 40:43SPEAKER_00: That is imminent.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: We also look to India.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: Indian gold and silver demand is also showing up at the expense of US treasuries.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: India's silver import restrictions have tightened supply in the world's largest silver market.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: And it's pushed local premiums to their highest levels in six months, despite the softer than usual headline demand and the pre but it's it is in accumulation.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: And from a trader's perspective, India's reduction uh in US Treasury exposure alongside continued gold accumulation reinforces a structural bid for bullion and it signals ongoing central bank uh reserve diversification away from dollar debt.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: All these pieces are coming together, and into structural and technically oversold conditions, the underlying trade implication is supported of both gold and related silver on dips, particularly if geolopolitical risk uh rises or confidence in the US dollar markets deteriorate, or both.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: So, to kind of sum this up, a US gold revaluation would be the cleanest balance sheet response.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: So and the US actually would not need to announce a classical gold standard.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: And like China, the US could instead move towards a gold liquidity narrative, uh, gold as a strategic reserve asset, collateral support, or balance sheet stabilizer rather than fixed price convertibility.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: This also creates a forced revaluation dynamic that we've just looked at.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, China's move would not merely raise the gold price, it would force the US to recognize that gold is again central to the money to monetary trust.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Both systems would be then compete to show stronger gold credibility, driving much, much higher gold reference prices.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: So this inevitable gold price reset leads to the other inevitable question.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Are you positioned well ahead of this gold and silver price reset, whether it be by osmosis or triggering the reset?
